<v Speaker 1>One evening, after leaving work near a power plant, Josh
<v Speaker 1>noticed a dark figure kneeling beside a pond. At first,
<v Speaker 1>he tried to brush it off until someone in the
<v Speaker 1>town's Facebook discussion group posted about seeing the exact same
<v Speaker 1>black creature crouched by the water. That was the moment
<v Speaker 1>everything clicked. Curiosity turned into investigation, and Josh began connecting
<v Speaker 1>the dots, strange bones found near the lake, clusters of
<v Speaker 1>push down trees, and sightings from other locals describing the
<v Speaker 1>creatures as looking like a black grizzly bear. As Josh
<v Speaker 1>returned to the area with a friend, the activity escalated.

<v Speaker 1>you would tell me a little bit about yourself, where
<v Speaker 1>you're from, and your bigfoot experiences from the very beginning. Please.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, I was born in Alabama, and I grew up
<v Speaker 2>in East Texas and now for the past twenty four years,
<v Speaker 2>I've lived about thirty minutes southeast of Kansas City, Missouri,
<v Speaker 2>custode so, you know, nothing special there. Small business owner
<v Speaker 2>as well. So I've always thought, you know, there might
<v Speaker 2>be a bigfoot out there somewhere. I ain't never been
<v Speaker 2>against him or nothing, you know, but not until I
<v Speaker 2>started listening to your YouTube and stuff, and then I
<v Speaker 2>was like, huh, kind of made me think maybe it is,
<v Speaker 2>maybe he is out there, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, And what type of activity have you experienced.
<v Speaker 1>Can you kind of put me in your shoes and
<v Speaker 1>take me back to the moment that you had this
<v Speaker 1>strange experience that you can't explain.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Well, I lived out in the country for twelve
<v Speaker 2>years and I never thought about any bigfoot, you know,
<v Speaker 2>being around my area or whatever. And then I started
<v Speaker 2>listening to you about a year ago, and then I
<v Speaker 2>was like, you know, we've got a power plant, we've
<v Speaker 2>got power lines, we've got a couple of lakes and
<v Speaker 2>a cemetery right across the street from the power plant
<v Speaker 2>that's behind me or behind my house. And uh, that's
<v Speaker 2>all the stuff that I've heard you say. The sasquatches
<v Speaker 2>are usually like to be around, So that's when I
<v Speaker 2>got a hold of you a few months ago. But
<v Speaker 2>here last Thursday, I was coming home from Walmart and
<v Speaker 2>I was coming the back way and uh, it's a
<v Speaker 2>country road and there's this big lake that always cruise
<v Speaker 2>by because it's well next to the road. Nice lake,
<v Speaker 2>pretty good size. I was coming home Thursday night from
<v Speaker 2>Walmart and I looked over there and there was this
<v Speaker 2>black thing knelt down in the middle of the frozen pond.
<v Speaker 2>And I was like what, So I like stopped and
<v Speaker 2>I backed up so I could get a better look
<v Speaker 2>at it. And it was like nilt down in the
<v Speaker 2>middle of the pond. And I was like, no, that
<v Speaker 2>can't be. And I was like could it be? And
<v Speaker 2>I was like, dang, I don't know. And then these dogs.
<v Speaker 2>My phone was dead, so I didn't get to take
<v Speaker 2>a picture, but these three big old dogs like surrounded
<v Speaker 2>my truck. So I'm like, okay, well I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>get out of here. And that was it, and I
<v Speaker 2>didn't think nothing more about it. Thursday ninth, and then
<v Speaker 2>later on on our Facebook town's discussion page, somebody had
<v Speaker 2>posted something saying did anybody see that on the pond
<v Speaker 2>on that street? And I was like, well, some of them, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>actually I did, so I I responded to him and
<v Speaker 2>I was like, well, I seen one thing that kind
<v Speaker 2>of looked like a bear, but it was like nilt
<v Speaker 2>down and I was like, I don't really think bears
<v Speaker 2>really do that. I was like, you might've been getting
<v Speaker 2>a drink of water or something. I don't know what
<v Speaker 2>was going on. And the person that said they seen it,
<v Speaker 2>they said they thought it was a giant grizzly bear
<v Speaker 2>nilt down, but it could have been a bigfoot, because
<v Speaker 2>I was like, you know, I thought I was looking
<v Speaker 2>at a big foot, and so they so I'm not
<v Speaker 2>the only one who's seen it, So that made me
<v Speaker 2>feel good. The rest of the town they had a
<v Speaker 2>good little chuckle about it, but I mean, I don't care.
<v Speaker 2>I know what I seen, and you know, and then
<v Speaker 2>I I ain't got in touch with that person again
<v Speaker 2>or nothing, but so we both seen something and I
<v Speaker 2>was like, Okay, that was cool, and I went back
<v Speaker 2>last Monday, I took a bunch and I went out,
<v Speaker 2>went out that way and look to see if I
<v Speaker 2>could see anything, and I couldn't see nothing. Upon it
<v Speaker 2>was pretty much thawing out. So and then I decided
<v Speaker 2>to cruise out to our city lake over here in
<v Speaker 2>this town where I'm at, and I'd hiked there when
<v Speaker 2>I first started listening to you about a year ago.
<v Speaker 2>I decided to because they got a bunch of trails
<v Speaker 2>and stuff out there at our lake and our lake
<v Speaker 2>the I've been told that the runoff from the power
<v Speaker 2>plant like runs into our lake, so like not to
<v Speaker 2>eat the fish there. It's what I've been told. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know for sure, but I mean it's like in
<v Speaker 2>a line down from the power plant, so I mean
<v Speaker 2>I could see where you know, water would be flowing
<v Speaker 2>over there. But anyways, and so I parked my truck
<v Speaker 2>and I decided to take a walk about a year
<v Speaker 2>ago around some of the trails and stuff out there.
<v Speaker 2>And I immediately, I tried to send you the video,
<v Speaker 2>I immediately seeing a jawbone of something, maybe a deer
<v Speaker 2>or something, I don't know. And then there was a
<v Speaker 2>bunch of like push down looking trees and stuff, and
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, it's hard to believe that nobody else would
<v Speaker 2>have heard or seen anything at this lake, because I mean,
<v Speaker 2>people camped there. I've camped at this lake. You know,
<v Speaker 2>it's pretty busy, So I mean, I don't know if
<v Speaker 2>people have noticed anything. They just ain't said nothing or what.
<v Speaker 2>But I just thought it was pretty weird. But like
<v Speaker 2>I said, I seen the jaw bone of a deer
<v Speaker 2>or something and a bunch of trees pushed over and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm like, humh. And then last Monday, after I
<v Speaker 2>went back out to that that lake by the power
<v Speaker 2>plant where I seen I thought I seen a bigfoot.
<v Speaker 2>I went to the lake after that, to the other lake,
<v Speaker 2>the city lake here in town after that, and I
<v Speaker 2>was with my friend from work, and it was real
<v Speaker 2>muddy out there, so I didn't want to take my
<v Speaker 2>trugs too well drive whatever, you know, So we went
<v Speaker 2>out there, and as soon as we got there, I
<v Speaker 2>he my my friend seen it first. There was two
<v Speaker 2>lights in the middle of the lake and they went up,
<v Speaker 2>they moved around a little bit, and then they disappeared.
<v Speaker 2>I have never seen anything like that at this lake
<v Speaker 2>at all. I ain't never seen no weird stuff. I
<v Speaker 2>ain't never heard no weird stuff until last Monday, and
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, huh. So we were both like, wow, look
<v Speaker 2>at that. And then we'd stopped, and then when the
<v Speaker 2>lights disappeared, two of them, we cruised on down the
<v Speaker 2>round the lakes more and we heard me and him
<v Speaker 2>both heard like a It was like a whoop and
<v Speaker 2>a yell like three times, and I was like, okay,
<v Speaker 2>so I decided to, you know, I don't I don't
<v Speaker 2>know how to do that stuff, you know, but I
<v Speaker 2>decided to kind of whoop and yell myself, and they
<v Speaker 2>responded back again, and I was me and my friend
<v Speaker 2>were like, wow, that's crazy. And then it stopped and
<v Speaker 2>we waited for a little bit, and then we took
<v Speaker 2>off again and went around the rest of the lake
<v Speaker 2>and didn't see or hear nothing else weird. And then
<v Speaker 2>we came back to work and everything was good. But
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, it was just weird and mean. I said,
<v Speaker 2>I camped at this lake before, and I never heard
<v Speaker 2>nothing weird or seen anything weird or that, or I
<v Speaker 2>just didn't notice, you know. And then when I lived
<v Speaker 2>in the country for twelve years outside of town here,
<v Speaker 2>I had like a bunch of forests and stuff around me.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't. I walked through there all the time, and uh,
<v Speaker 2>never thought of heard or seeing a bigfoot or nothing
<v Speaker 2>like that out there either. But I think he's out there, Miguel,
<v Speaker 2>I really do.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's incredible. I remember you contact him me a
<v Speaker 1>few months ago wondering if i'd go out there and
<v Speaker 1>check out that area with you. That's wild that you
<v Speaker 1>had this encounter with this black creature that was knelt
<v Speaker 1>down the pond. What do you think it was?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. It might have been a bigfoot. It
<v Speaker 2>looked like, well like that lady that posted on there
<v Speaker 2>with me. It looked like a grizzly bear. But it
<v Speaker 2>was like nilt down, like it was getting a drink
<v Speaker 2>of water. And I mean that's I was on the
<v Speaker 2>road and it was in the middle of the pond.
<v Speaker 2>It was a good one hundred yards maybe away or so,
<v Speaker 2>so it was not dark yet, but it was getting close,
<v Speaker 2>you know, to being dark, but I could still see.
<v Speaker 2>It was light enough to see, so I know what
<v Speaker 2>I saw. And like I said, it was just a black,
<v Speaker 2>solid black. Looked like a grizzly bear that was like
<v Speaker 2>getting nilt down.
<v Speaker 1>So, yeah, that's wild. I bet a creature like that
<v Speaker 1>would have lest some tracks by the pond. Did you
<v Speaker 1>ever go back and check anything out.
<v Speaker 2>That pond that's next to the power plant that I've
<v Speaker 2>seen it. It's private pond, so you can't really like
<v Speaker 2>walk around out there. I don't know who owns it either.
<v Speaker 2>But out at the lake that is not private. I
<v Speaker 2>mean that's anybody can go out there. But no, I
<v Speaker 2>haven't never seen any tracks or anything around there. Just
<v Speaker 2>the jawbone and a bunch of trees and stuff pushed
<v Speaker 2>down and stuff, and then the whooping and yelled and
<v Speaker 2>the two lights that came down on the lake and
<v Speaker 2>then went back up and then down again and went
<v Speaker 2>up and then disappeared. It. It was crazy, man, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>That is wild. Is it a nuclear power plant? Is
<v Speaker 1>that what's in the area.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if it's nuclear. Somebody said it was
<v Speaker 2>a coal power plant, but it is a power plant.
<v Speaker 2>And that's the lines go straight down towards the lake here,
<v Speaker 2>so our city lake. But then there's a cemetery right
<v Speaker 2>across the street from the power plant, and it's it
<v Speaker 2>goes back to like eighteen thirty nine or something like
<v Speaker 2>that is a really old cemetery. Yeah, but a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of trees, bunch of forest area and stuff. It's a lot, man.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it does sound like it has the right terrain
<v Speaker 1>for Sasquatch. You got a lot of woods, you got
<v Speaker 1>the power plant, which a lot of people have mentioned
<v Speaker 1>seen Bigfoot by power plants for some reason. You got
<v Speaker 1>the power lines and the waterways, so I could see
<v Speaker 1>why that creatures hanging out there.
<v Speaker 2>I think it is, man. I mean, I said I'd
<v Speaker 2>like to do some investigating, but I ain't got all
<v Speaker 2>the fancy equipment and stuff. I do got binoculars though,
<v Speaker 2>but yeah, I think it would be worth checking out
<v Speaker 2>at least. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. I wonder if there's been any pass reports there,
<v Speaker 1>maybe like on the bfro's website or something.
<v Speaker 2>Funny that you should say that, because I looked at
<v Speaker 2>that ever since I've been watching you, I checked out
<v Speaker 2>that map, bigfoot map or whatever, and to see if
<v Speaker 2>there was any sightings reported around my area. And actually
<v Speaker 2>there has been one like fifteen minutes down the road.
<v Speaker 2>James A. Reid is what the It's a bunch of
<v Speaker 2>lakes in one area, but there's been a report there.
<v Speaker 2>And then my friend he's seen or his uncle seeing one.
<v Speaker 2>I think it was like, shoot, I don't remember exactly
<v Speaker 2>what road it is, like maybe two twenty seven or
<v Speaker 2>something between Harrisonville and Pleasant Hill, but his uncle seen one.
<v Speaker 2>It walked across the road in front of him.
<v Speaker 3>So and that.
<v Speaker 2>On the map that I looked up, there were sightings
<v Speaker 2>in James A. Reid and towards like Kingsville and Holding
<v Speaker 2>area and uh, the Harrisonville area. So I was floored.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't even know, didn't even know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it sounds like there's been some activity there in
<v Speaker 1>the past. The lights that you encountered, what do they
<v Speaker 1>look like?
<v Speaker 2>They looked like two white lights, like just they were
<v Speaker 2>side by side, and they dipped down and kind of
<v Speaker 2>went around a little bit and then back up and
<v Speaker 2>then back down and then went around a little bit
<v Speaker 2>and then back up and then just disappeared. Because me
<v Speaker 2>and my friend were like, well, those ain't stars, and
<v Speaker 2>though they ain't drones, you know, because I thought maybe
<v Speaker 2>they could have been drones or something, but they just
<v Speaker 2>completely disappeared.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, wow, Yeah, that's crazy. Were they on
<v Speaker 1>the lake or were they in the woods.
<v Speaker 2>No, they were on the lake.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, man, that makes me feel like you that's possibly
<v Speaker 1>like UFO activity.
<v Speaker 2>Then I don't know. I ain't never really thought too
<v Speaker 2>much about the UFOs and stuff like that. You know,
<v Speaker 2>Bigfoot is big enough stretch for me. I mean, I think,
<v Speaker 2>you know he's out there, and you know aliens, I'm
<v Speaker 2>sure they out there too, But I'm not really into
<v Speaker 2>the whole UFO things. But I mean what I did
<v Speaker 2>see was very unexplainable.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and what else did you say you found? You
<v Speaker 1>found a jawbone and what else?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, when I started listening to you, I decided to
<v Speaker 2>go out to the lake. I've got a kayak, so
<v Speaker 2>I've kayaked this lake before as well, all the way
<v Speaker 2>to the back, and you know, never this was before
<v Speaker 2>I was thinking that sasquatch could be out there and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>But I mean it, I went all the way to
<v Speaker 2>the back, and you know, stuff like that. But when
<v Speaker 2>I went last like a year ago and actually hiked
<v Speaker 2>a little bit of the trails, like I said, the
<v Speaker 2>first off, as soon as I got onto the trail,
<v Speaker 2>walking into the woods, right there on the ground, jawbone.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm like, huh, okay, because you always talk about
<v Speaker 2>bones and stuff, finding bones and stuff, and I was like, wow,
<v Speaker 2>this is actually this is a job boned from like
<v Speaker 2>a deer. What's it doing in here? And then I
<v Speaker 2>kept on walking. I've got it all on video. I
<v Speaker 2>just got to figure out how to get it to you.
<v Speaker 2>But and then I kept on walking down the trail
<v Speaker 2>and there's just trees down left and right, and it's
<v Speaker 2>like if a storm did this, you know, with like
<v Speaker 2>just storm this little area and then like just miss
<v Speaker 2>everything else or what. So I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Man, Well, I'm glad the podcast have people looking for
<v Speaker 1>things and you just never know what you'll come across.
<v Speaker 1>I remember you saying that you used to live in
<v Speaker 1>East Texas. Did you ever encounter anything else or anything
<v Speaker 1>out there or talk to anyone who has.
<v Speaker 2>No I lived directly east of Dallas, and yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>mean I used to spend time out in the woods
<v Speaker 2>down there too, And I never thought that Bigfoot would
<v Speaker 2>be around there, I said, I always thought he was real,
<v Speaker 2>but I just didn't think he would be around my area,
<v Speaker 2>you know. But I've seen your podcasts with people from
<v Speaker 2>East Texas and stuff. I think they was a little
<v Speaker 2>bit farther east and south of where I was at.
<v Speaker 2>But you got people that say they've seen him down
<v Speaker 2>in East Texas. So I mean, if I could go

<v Speaker 2>might have seen some stuff, you know, I might have noticed,

<v Speaker 2>But you know, my buddy had like two hundred and
<v Speaker 2>something acres in East Dallas, east of Dallas, and we
<v Speaker 2>used to hunt every weekend, like hog hunt, and so
<v Speaker 2>we'd spend a lot of time out in the woods
<v Speaker 2>night days, whenever, you know, all the time. But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>never never like really seen anything that made me think,
<v Speaker 2>you know, hey this is this is sasquatch or nothing
<v Speaker 2>like that. You know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that makes sense if you don't know anything about
<v Speaker 1>the topic, you don't really think about it and you're
<v Speaker 1>not looking or listening for anything strange.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, but I mean he probably out there though, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, So what are your plans in the future
<v Speaker 1>with this lake area and the power plant? Are you
<v Speaker 1>going to look around there and try to try to
<v Speaker 1>investigate the area?
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely? Absolutely, I said, I've been out there a couple
<v Speaker 2>of times, but you know, since then, but yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>I ain't got the right gear, you know for it all,
<v Speaker 2>you know, but yeah, I'm definitely going to be out
<v Speaker 2>there looking around and stuff. I just don't know what
<v Speaker 2>I would actually do if I seen, you know, an
<v Speaker 2>actual sasquatch. I'm a Christian, and I don't want to
<v Speaker 2>be going against God or anything, you know, by looking
<v Speaker 2>for a sasquatch or something.
<v Speaker 1>You know, Yeah, absolutely, I wonder the same. Am I
<v Speaker 1>looking for trouble? But if that was a Sasquatch at
<v Speaker 1>the pond, there should be structures somewhere in the area.
<v Speaker 1>There should be some sign or you'll possibly run into
<v Speaker 1>another clan member.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, well, I mean I would like to go and
<v Speaker 2>investigate that area, but like I said, I don't know
<v Speaker 2>who owns it, and it's private, and I don't want
<v Speaker 2>to be like messing around that power plant. You know,
<v Speaker 2>people probably be down on that a little bit. But
<v Speaker 2>the cemetery across the street, like that whole area is
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of woods and stuff. And after we get
<v Speaker 2>off the podcast whatever, I can give you the address
<v Speaker 2>or whatever, and you can look it up on your
<v Speaker 2>map if you want to and see what I'm talking about.
<v Speaker 2>But I mean, I've seen a bunch of like down
<v Speaker 2>trees and stuff over there in that area. And stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if that's sasquatch or if that's just normal,
<v Speaker 2>you know. But there's far in few houses, you know,
<v Speaker 2>in there, so it's not a bunch. But you know,
<v Speaker 2>somebody's if there's something out there, somebody's had to heard something.
<v Speaker 1>I would think, Yeah, absolutely, it might be worth like
<v Speaker 1>putting your report on the Bigfoot Mapping project and maybe
<v Speaker 1>other people will report things in the future.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I thought about doing that, but I was like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I don't want to. It wasn't like a
<v Speaker 2>for sure sighting, you know, and I don't you know,
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to like put false information that on
<v Speaker 2>that map, you know. But I know what I seen,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm not the only one who's seen it, So.

<v Speaker 2>I don't want to draw too much attention to myself,

<v Speaker 1>so there there wasn't too much you could do.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Maybe one day though. Shoot, yeah, get enough people
<v Speaker 2>saying hey, you know, we think there's really something around here.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it might be worth asking the property owner if
<v Speaker 1>he's ever seen anything.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'll figure out who that is. I said, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know who owns that property.

<v Speaker 1>had a gentleman who served in the military that came
<v Speaker 1>on the show when I first started the channel, and
<v Speaker 1>he talked about this story that happened east of Kansas
<v Speaker 1>City where the state patrolman had to shoot this creature
<v Speaker 1>that was known as a gugway. It basically looked like
<v Speaker 1>a upright grizzly bear with a snout and short pointy
<v Speaker 1>years that pretty much was killing people. And yeah, the
<v Speaker 1>state patrol how to shoot the creature, and the guest
<v Speaker 1>said that he vividly remembers this encounter, this report being
<v Speaker 1>in the papers, and he said, it's pretty much been
<v Speaker 1>e race from the public's eye, but anyone that grew
<v Speaker 1>up in that era, I think it was in the sixties,
<v Speaker 1>remembers this encounter being in the papers where the state
<v Speaker 1>patrolman had to shoot the creature and they shot it
<v Speaker 1>a lot until it finally went down. It took a
<v Speaker 1>lot of shots anyways, is what I'm trying to say.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, that was interesting because this is the same area,
<v Speaker 1>the same state, and not only that. On other channels
<v Speaker 1>I listened to bigfoot reports and the James A. Reid
<v Speaker 1>Memorial wildlife area often comes up and it seems to
<v Speaker 1>be an active area. I haven't been there myself, but
<v Speaker 1>I really want to check it out to see if
<v Speaker 1>I can find any evidence or any clues. And yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this just goes to show that you don't have to
<v Speaker 1>be in the mark Twayna National Forest to experience cryptid activity.
