Available at Amazon and major retailers nationwide. Dude wipes, best clean pants. And I know you had some the NFL playoff stuff you want to get off your chest before we welcome mics Wednesday. 00:02:07 Speaker 1: Words of wisdom. I didn't want to say, dude Wipe's not a bad idea. 00:02:12 Speaker 4: I uh, in our hotel room at the Aria, we have a Toto toilet that has a butt dryer and a bidet built in. 00:02:24 Speaker 1: And I'm not quite sure you could go back to real life after that. No, no, there's no coming back. I got you back. It's like I got one, never coming back. Yeah, I have one at home. Yeah you actually have what those are life changers? Yeah, my goodness. 00:02:36 Speaker 4: But you know what, here's a little sniper in there. Let me point out one thing and then we'll get the mic towards a wisdom. But we're done with the Super Bowl MVP odds, except just to prove how quickly things move in sports. A week ago, brock perties, you know, two games in a row with fi like five tuddies, and everyone's all high in the Niners one bead game against Seattle. 00:02:56 Speaker 3: Oh they suck. 00:02:57 Speaker 4: They're gonna lose against the Eagles this week. Big on the biggest underdogs. Besides, that's the name of the game. Biggest underdogs besides Carolina playing the Rams, so other than everyone expecting the Rams to just whoop Carolina, the second biggest underdog is the forty nine ers. Do you mean my team that you guys all were hanging from a week ago. You should be ashamed of your wishy washingus And just to show the wishy washings over a few years. Isn't it crazy to just see in print that Sam Darnold is your Super Bowl MVP favorite at plus six hundred at this and a zero at plus six thousand. Aaron Rodgers. I'm not saying Aaron Rodgers is gonna go all the way, but it's just funny to see, like rewind five years and that's not only reversed. 00:03:46 Speaker 1: It's even more extreme. Yeah, things change, it's crazy. 00:03:49 Speaker 4: So just real interesting stuff as we get closer to Wildcard weekend. 00:03:54 Speaker 1: Danny g Any thoughts as you look at that list before you go to Big Mic and his words of wisdom. 00:03:58 Speaker 4: And he I like Lawrence, which is what number seven as far as odds plus seventeen hundred, because if he does go off, like people think, if they get by Denver, I'm sorry, if they get by Buffalo and they played well in Denver this year, I think that team's clicking. I think Trevor Lawrence at plus seventeen hundred is really a decent value. 00:04:17 Speaker 5: Well, I like Pooka's value here, but Sam Darnold at the very top is what stands out because if you had started the season with this, If you guys got on the radio and you said, you know what, Donald in Seattle, he's going to do big things. Bet you he'll get the team to the super Bowl and be the MVP favorite, the studio lines would have lit up and nobody was even really going that route. And then midway through, remember Dan Byer, who's just crazy. Yeah, Byer is a Seahawks fan. Halfway through the season, he was telling you guys he was uncomfortable with the inconsistencies of his own team. 00:04:52 Speaker 6: Nopeyeah No. 00:04:53 Speaker 1: I like your I like your pua, your poa, Danny. I like your pooa. Think you need some dude wives. I like her Puka Nikua plus thirty five hundred. 00:05:06 Speaker 4: But I know that Wade receivers have one. In fact, Jerry Rice has won a Super Bowl MVP. But every time I see a wide receiver, I'm like, well, that means a quarterback all SATs to. 00:05:15 Speaker 1: Have a big day. 00:05:16 Speaker 4: So the only way in Nikua wins the MVP is if Stafford has a like a decent game, But Nikua is all the. 00:05:23 Speaker 1: Kua has like two or three one handed snags. 00:05:25 Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm saying that. Yeah, his yards after the catcher would be off the hook, which. 00:05:31 Speaker 4: If Stafford threw for three hund zho with like two touchdowns two interceptions and had like an average game. Meanwhile in Nakua was like fifteen catches for two hundred of those yards. You know, So it's possible the way that guy plays. But your thoughts at covin on Rich, I'll stand by Trevor Lawrence plus seventeen hundred. 00:05:48 Speaker 1: That's the pick right there. 00:05:49 Speaker 4: And if you want to be a Homer Rock Purty plus four thousand, he's been there. Who knows eh? All right, you want to bring in the guy who runs his place? 00:05:59 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he just comes in when he wants to. 00:06:02 Speaker 7: Yeah, what's going on? 00:06:04 Speaker 1: What's up, Mike? 00:06:05 Speaker 2: It's Wednesday words of wisdom with the guy who runs his place. 00:06:09 Speaker 7: Like everybody, I gotta say, A big fan of the mid Day, big fan of the mid Day? 00:06:14 Speaker 4: Can I tell you I channel I don't like pooh talk, and I know we have to be careful also on the radio, but it is, uh, it is like, can you know when I have this conversation. Yeah, it's there's things in life that once you try, you can't go back, Like tsare. 00:06:28 Speaker 2: Check Brown on anyone else that is living less civilized, Like what do you whe Are you from the Spartacus era? 00:06:34 Speaker 1: What do you when you use a you? Abraham Lincoln? What's wrong with you? It's twenty twenty. 00:06:39 Speaker 8: Five, going to sleep off the tree? 00:06:42 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:06:43 Speaker 1: What do you do? You have an outhouse? What's going on? It's like TSA pre check. 00:06:48 Speaker 4: If you have TSA pre or clear, you look at the people in the general security line and you're like, what are you doing? 00:06:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, but you can't get on high brown now rich until you have one at home. No. No, it's like you. 00:06:56 Speaker 4: When I go pick up my mobile order at like a restaurant or coffee shop, I'll look at the people waiting in line. 00:07:01 Speaker 1: I'm like, what he what moronic? You guys are dumb? What are you from? Philadelphia? 00:07:04 Speaker 2: Well as a guy that has one of those turlets, just know how I've been looking at you for the past few years. 00:07:09 Speaker 1: You look at everyone they got a dirty as Yeah, yeah, yeah, heathens all of you. You're right, Thank you, Mike, My god, Mike. Let's let's get into the words of wisdom. 00:07:18 Speaker 7: Okay, we're celebrating your visit to Vegas with these words of wisdom. Okay, so you know. 00:07:25 Speaker 3: It's time for the guy that runs this place. 00:07:28 Speaker 6: Just for clarification, guys, Big Mike does not run this place. He is not in charge of everything. He has no power over really anybody here. He does not run this place. 00:07:37 Speaker 3: It's Big Mike's words of wisdom on a Wednesday. 00:07:44 Speaker 7: Casinos don't need windows. They already know what time it is your money o'clock. 00:07:59 Speaker 2: Okay, so the rule say the CNR show, Cavino and Rich. If you could repeat that verbatim verbatim, you win a CNR on FSR Turbo grip nerve football man. 00:08:11 Speaker 1: You want to give it to us one more time? Doesn't been one? 00:08:13 Speaker 6: All right? 00:08:14 Speaker 1: For fun. 00:08:16 Speaker 7: Casinos don't need windows, They already know what time it is your money o'clock. 00:08:25 Speaker 2: I love it, Mike, Thank you Mike who runs this place. And remember to claim your prize again, repeat it verbatim. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Dannyg's on standby waiting for your call eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, and we'll take your phone calls. And while Danny G gets the calls rich. We got to talk about net bo babies, like we said sports babies to net bo babies, and. 00:08:51 Speaker 4: We could stick with sports. But you know what I realized the other day, And you might think, this is, uh, how the hell do I not know this? Because besides sports, I've always dabbled in, like you know, culture, music and stuff like that. I didn't realize that Gracie Abrams, who's like a pop singer, that your daughter, J I didn't know that was JJ's daughter. I thought it was like a relative, but that's his daughter. JJ Abrams, the famous movie naker and director. His daughter has like songs you could say nepo baby, or you could say she's talented. She's really talented. 00:09:19 Speaker 2: And when she's singing doing harmonies with Taylor Swift and I'm no swifty, but I've seen them perform together, she's got real talent. 00:09:26 Speaker 1: See that's the think. 00:09:27 Speaker 2: You know, do they get an advantage, yeah, yes, but you gotta deliver, especially in sports. That's why I don't believe it in sports. But when it comes to coaching, yeah, maybe it's a You know what, you just. 00:09:41 Speaker 1: Gave the best exam. 00:09:42 Speaker 4: You just described what Danny g is pulling his hair out about if you're a Raiders fan, Danny G. There's a nepotism story about Pete Carroll's son, and like you said, the example, we said, if jj Abrams daughter wasn't a good singer and talented, she just wanted to make it right, like. 00:09:59 Speaker 2: You know, Shador say, Yeah, he had some advantages, but now he has to deliver and that's on the field. 00:10:05 Speaker 1: Coaching is a different story. 00:10:07 Speaker 2: And Pete Carroll's son apparently was a big problem, and the offensive line was the problem. Like there's a lot of problems with the Raiders, Danny G's Raiders who he defended. 00:10:17 Speaker 1: All year, but hearing Danny G describe this on a pre show meeting, I did defend them. 00:10:23 Speaker 2: No, the thing is that the offensive line was offensive and that was the biggest problem. Yet because Brennan Carroll is the offensive line coach, nobody wanted to talk about it. And it was like we did that he wasn't even showing up to practices and things like that, Like he just was like a no show at his own practice. 00:10:41 Speaker 5: At meetings, he wasn't showing up. So this all this all came out. Yeah, after Pete Carroll was let go. Ryan McFadden is reporting that Raiders GM John Spytech conducted film sessions himself due to Brennan Carroll failing to do his job, and then via ESPN and they go into detail. It says an agent for a Vegas Raiders O lineman said his client described how the O line met multiple times on their own with quarterback Gino Smith and running back Ashton Genty without the coach president, so Smith and Genty could explain how they wanted block set up. The agent framed it as a sign that the situation was so disorganized that players felt they had to figure it out together on their own because there was some sort of nepotism going on with Pete Carroll's son Brennan, who served as the O line coach. And remember I was hyped about this at the start of the raiders first losing streak early on because they took JPJ who was a Pro Bowl caliber center and moved them to guard. Yeah, there were some injuries, but they would not play the two third round draft picks, who are great O linemen. They both got into the games late in the season and played awesome, and that's why Raider fans were pulling their hair out. What are you guys doing with this O line? Chip Kel he was fired, The Special Team's coach was fired. Brennan stayed there the whole year. And this report goes on to say that that caused the most problems inside that Raiders locker room because of the nepotism. 00:12:12 Speaker 2: Yeah, they're saying it was the biggest problem. No one talked about it, and it was that bad. So that's the scoop on what was really going on the Raiders. 00:12:21 Speaker 4: If you are in a situation where you could help out a family member, and you know what people talk about nepotism, Oh, it's in sports and entertainment, it's in everything. If your dad's a dentist and he owns a dental office and you go to dental school and you like partner up or become part of that company, that's nepotism. You're working for a company with family. It happens in construction, it happens in every business. 00:12:44 Speaker 1: Oh and by the way, here's the interesting thing about it. 00:12:47 Speaker 4: In other businesses, it's just called looking out for people, you know. Yeah, but here's the flip side of the family business. 00:12:53 Speaker 2: I'm a dad, your dad they's a dad, you would do everything possible to help your kid out along the way, so you under stand to some degree. But then that I understand, how understand broke the law. 00:13:06 Speaker 1: That the kid has to then deliver. 00:13:09 Speaker 2: Rennan did not again, no show at meetings and apparently didn't seem to care much about it. That's the story as we know it, as Danny g described. So your thoughts on nepotism, other stories that grind your go. That's why I always loved the story of Billy Madison so much, because, yeah, he had advantages, but he had to prove to his dad he was He wanted to prove that he was worthy of inheriting the family business. 00:13:35 Speaker 1: You know that's a fictional story, right, I thought it was a biopic. The story of Billy Madison, didn't your brother think? Forrescope is really. 00:13:47 Speaker 2: So you know, it's about showing up and delivering, just like Billy Madison did. Passing every grade. Remember when he graduated third grade. That was the best part. 00:13:55 Speaker 1: He was a great dodgeball player him and you know he remember he made the day all past the third grade. Billy Madison Way, remember that great finger painting and remember uh oh, he would drew a blue duck for Miss Lippy. 00:14:09 Speaker 2: I mean, the point we're making here is even in Billy Madison, he had to prove that he was worthy of inheriting the comedy company, right like Brennan. In this case, Carol had a step up. I mean he really put his dad's reputation on the line too. It's like, Yo, your dad's looking out for you. Now you even have to step up even more to show everybody and yourself and your dad and the team that you're in it for real? 00:14:35 Speaker 4: Did you guys watch one of my favorite shows of twenty twenty five, Chad Powers? 00:14:41 Speaker 2: I you know what, I watched everything until the last episode. I don't think I finished it. Are you serious? 00:14:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, well, someone's got something to watch on the way home tomorrow. Huh. 00:14:51 Speaker 4: Six episodes. I think everyone's biggest complaint is that, oh man, only six episodes. Now we got to wait for a season two. But Danny, you watched Chad Powers, all right? 00:15:00 Speaker 5: The first episode you go back? It was too corny, too cheesy for me? 00:15:08 Speaker 1: For real? It was great. 00:15:11 Speaker 4: H Steve's On who plays the coach Steve's on, the actor plays the coach of Glenn Powell Chad powers. His daughter's on the coaching staff. But she's really good, But there's that feeling of like, oh, she just there because she's steve's On's daughter, and she's constantly trying to prove herself, improve herself. 00:15:28 Speaker 2: In the storyline, she's secretly like the best, like she's the secret weapon exactly. 00:15:33 Speaker 4: But you know that's not always the case, and I wonder that sometimes. Like you said, we talked yesterd about coach Prime and his kids. 00:15:40 Speaker 2: That's the thing, you know, I'm not trying to say, Rich you have to go above and beyond in this case to justify your father's choices here. So it's like double disrespect of what's going on here. You let your oh line down, your team down, You let your dad dad whose story? 00:15:56 Speaker 6: Who is worse here? 00:15:57 Speaker 5: The guy who is putting his qualified son in that place in that. 00:16:02 Speaker 2: Job, because we all would do that, we just established it, right, We would all do everything possible to look. 00:16:07 Speaker 1: Out for a few kids. 00:16:10 Speaker 5: When you're in a job like a head coach of a multi billion dollar organization and you stand in front of the cameras every week and say, everybody's got to earn their jobs. The players, the coaches. That's what Pete Carroll did week in and week out. Fires. 00:16:25 Speaker 1: The old coach is established. He's four years old. You'd murder someone for your kid? 00:16:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you think it's on Brennan. I think it's on him all the way. Look, he got Genus Smith murdered all season. 00:16:36 Speaker 6: You're your father, Larry. 00:16:38 Speaker 1: Your thoughts eight seven seven ninety. 00:16:40 Speaker 4: I have a question. I mean, you could say that he got by just on his great hair. But did anyone ever criticize Belichick's kid? Belichick was winning, so I guess winning. 00:16:48 Speaker 6: Oh yeah, that window. 00:16:51 Speaker 4: Let me ask you there, buddy boy, mister New Jersey Yankees fan, hm, is hal living up to George and the Steinbrenner fan. 00:16:59 Speaker 2: I mean that's one of his biggest criticisms, Like, yeah, George would have never stood for this type of behavior. He wouldn bent on the the shaving rules, he would have spent money to win, And yeah, that's one of his biggest criticisms. Do I think he's like some sort of schlub, No, not at all. He's just not his dad. 00:17:20 Speaker 4: In acting, you could say that there's so many great actors that never get a chance and nepotism gives those people a chance that there's other people equally He's good, they'll just never get a chance. But again, if you suck, if you're bad at what you do, it doesn't matter who your parents are. Like you could you could be a young a young writer and director. But if your product stinks, it doesn't matter who your mom or dad is. 00:17:45 Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Michael Jordan's sons didn't necessarily make it into the NBA. 00:17:48 Speaker 1: Kevin Hard, lets you know that. Yeah, Kevin stand up. 00:17:51 Speaker 2: Kevin Hart did not hold back on that in his latest special, Here's What's True. 00:17:55 Speaker 5: I got a quick question for you guys. You're you're there in Las Vegas right now. M John spy Tech. Those two picks, So, those two back to back O linemen who turned out to be great prospects, at least at the very end of the season, those were his guys, his picks, and Carol and his son refused to play the rookies all year. 00:18:12 Speaker 9: Dam I'll go about how did Tom Brady, Well, no, I'm asking you, how did Tom Brady and Mark Davis not speaking of nepotism, Mark Davis, how did they not hear about this throughout the year. 00:18:26 Speaker 1: Well, that's that's sort of the story. 00:18:27 Speaker 2: That was the elephant in the room that no one talked about out of respect for Pete Carroll. And now that you know, chips are falling, this is this is the story. So it is kind of interesting. And I honestly put all fault on Brennan for again, I don't want to see tarnishing his dad's reputation, but his dad stuck his neck out for him, took that chance on his son. It's on his son at this point to step up. And that's exactly what didn't happen. So do you think Mark Davis made the same deal as Brendan Carroll. It's like, we'll give you a chance, but you got have a weak ass haircut. Oh wholl Who else did it? Who else are we? Captain Kangaroo? I think he went to the barmber and answer to Captain Kangaroo. 00:19:07 Speaker 1: Yo. 00:19:07 Speaker 4: I'm thinking yes for the mo from the Three Students, I'm thinking of like the Sandman Adam sanderh Yo. His kids are in all his movies now, but they're good. 00:19:17 Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta step on like you distract. I know it's his kids, but they do a good job. 00:19:23 Speaker 4: When he recently has done some family movies on Netflix. I'm like, oh, the kid that plays his daughter is actually his daughter. And I'm like, no, she's good. Here's the deal. I have an unpopular opinion. It's not a hot take, but it's the truth. Nepotism has this bad stigma behind it, right, like a bad connotation. I find it to be understandable. 00:19:44 Speaker 2: I really do. I'm a fan. In fact, I'm a fan of nepotism because we all work hard to make our kids' lives easier, everybody, regardless of who you are and what you do. Just because some people do cooler things than others, why should those rules not apply. 00:19:58 Speaker 1: I've heard you. 00:19:59 Speaker 2: If you the landscape escaping company, you want to help your kid out, get and get them involved. 00:20:04 Speaker 1: You're right. So what's the difference. 00:20:05 Speaker 2: If you're a coach in the NFL, whatever you did, you worked hard to get there, and you want to make your kids life easier in the process. And I don't judge anybody for that. I blame the kid for not stepping up when the door was cracked open. It's a parents jop to help open that Door's the kids jop to kick it down. 00:20:23 Speaker 4: People love to talk about disadvantages. When people are giving someone an advantage and they don't take advantage, that's. 00:20:31 Speaker 1: The that's on them and they suck. Yeah. 00:20:33 Speaker 2: So I don't have the problem with nepotism. I have the problem with the lazy kid that takes it for granted. That's the truth. So your thoughts on this eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox when nepotism got in your way in life, in sports, your thoughts on carrowing. 00:20:49 Speaker 1: So I'm sure there's. 00:20:50 Speaker 4: People listening right now that are like, y'all, dude, I was passed up for a you know, a senior position in my office because you know, Johnson's son graduated college and they gave it to this dufus. 00:21:01 Speaker 1: It happens, and I think those are the sucky examples. 00:21:04 Speaker 4: But eventually I think that that guy where that woman gets exposed is not talented. And then sometimes they keep their jobs. Sometimes they don't. But this is a great example. Danny g thanks for bringing it up, because the Raiders and the Pete Carroll experiment did not go well, and to hear this on top of that, like part of the problem was his son. 00:21:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, the story is like that was the problem. 00:21:26 Speaker 6: Oh yeah, he lost the locker room. He lost the locker room due to this. 00:21:31 Speaker 2: And yeah, we'll take your phone calls. Now, let's get a winner, and then your phone. 00:21:35 Speaker 1: Calls on nepotism. 00:21:37 Speaker 2: So if you could repeat Mike's Wednesday words of wisdom verbatim, you win. 00:21:42 Speaker 1: Who do we got? 00:21:42 Speaker 6: Danny g Blood start in Oklahoma. It's Mike. 00:21:46 Speaker 1: Hey, Mike, let the media and then let's hear the wisdom they Mike, before you do this, they gotta know who do you want to win this weekend? Forty nine Ers or Eagles? 00:21:54 Speaker 10: Uh? Well, my son in law is everything silly, So I'm gonna I'm gonna root with him and I'm gonna go for the Eagles. 00:22:01 Speaker 6: Okay, yeah take that. 00:22:03 Speaker 1: I hope you fail. Now let's talk. 00:22:08 Speaker 7: I love your show, though, Thank you. 00:22:10 Speaker 1: Thank you, buddy. Are you ready? I'm ready? 00:22:16 Speaker 7: All right, here you go. 00:22:19 Speaker 3: Casinos don't need windows. 00:22:23 Speaker 11: They already know what time it is your money o'clock? 00:22:32 Speaker 3: Congrats man? 00:22:33 Speaker 2: Who know you just want to see you on on FSR work Football Turbobo and we're gonna put you on hold. We do this every Wednesday, but we always gooid prizes trying to bribe our listeners, just trying to give back. Thank you guys again and congrats. Enjoy the football, and I'll tell you what. We'll take the rest of the phone calls on nepotism next, how about that. 00:22:54 Speaker 4: Absolutely more Cavino on ret red here on Fox Sports Radio. 00:22:58 Speaker 2: It all comes down this one game, the best of the best playing for the Lombardi. So if you're watching at home, watch it like it matters. Sixteen for Joe Montana, I'll do number two. I'll do number three for Paint Route. 00:26:51 Speaker 5: I actually went with number two for Ashton genty oh almost almost rand almost ran for a thousand yards, even with Brennan as his coach. All right in Now that means Colvino gets to go. Okay, And now, ladies and gentlemen, the most famous person besides Judy Blue from Scotch Points. 00:27:08 Speaker 6: New Jersey spotty boys. 00:27:11 Speaker 1: Good to see you. How's it going, hey, Bud, Let's jump right in. 00:27:14 Speaker 8: President Donald Trump, Everyone's favorite weigh in the firing of Ravens coach John Harbaugh took to his Platform Truth social impost of the following in all caps, of course, hire John Harbaugh fast, he and his brother are total winners. Exclamation point, exclamation point, exclamation point President DJT so the Harpop brothers did meet with the President in July twenty twenty five, along with their families. He acknowledged how awesome it was to meet the president and how he roots from the same way he roots for his team, the Ravens. So President Trump weighing in on the Harball fire in midweek. 00:27:49 Speaker 2: Or major major, you're getting a presidential rightommordation and endorsement. I look political affiliations and your beliefs aside. 00:27:59 Speaker 1: Does it get or bigger than that? Absolutely not. 00:28:02 Speaker 2: He's a football coach and you know what, it worked, And you could say Trump helped, he could say he had a great reputation, the hottest coaching commodity. Maybe ever, seven teams already reached out to him within twenty four hours. Right, But come on, if you say it's it's weak, you could maybe say it's weak for Trump to even be chiming in about this from but from Harbaugh's perspective. 00:28:22 Speaker 1: Major al right, commit, Okay, I'll tell you what. I'll tell you. It's mid you ever get a presidential endorsement. Listen, I'm not a Donald Trump hater. 00:28:30 Speaker 4: I will say this, though he tweets about nonsense, that important stuff randomly throughout the day. 00:28:35 Speaker 1: Okay, the coach Harbor, he cannot be half from Harbor. And you know that the Harballs are not necessarily Trump supporters. But they did say if Trump was, like I fully endorsed the see in our show, you would love that. I would. I would absolutely, That's my uhag. 00:28:52 Speaker 4: So, I mean, I'm a big fan of presidential endorsements. 00:28:57 Speaker 1: I guess you're right with that. 00:28:58 Speaker 4: But but for him to be doing it, I don't think he needs it. But you know what, the Harbaughs are winners. And I think with a lot of liberal people in the media, the fact that Harpball's like, listen, whoever the president is, I respect it. I think Harbaugh's have said all the right thing. So Trump's gonna respect him. 00:29:14 Speaker 1: Right back, all right. 00:29:16 Speaker 8: If you're plotting a way to see Lebron as his career starts to wind down, listen up. So Lebron making some changes to the way he plays the game in his old age. While speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Lebron said that he's at a point in his life where working two days in a row will be a rare occurrence and that back to back games are TBD moving forward. So, after scoring thirty points with a one to eleven victory over the Pelicans, Lebron very passionate about the quick turnaround to play these spurs today. He said, I'm forty one. I got the most minutes in THEA and NBA history. Bank it right now. So he's taking a step back or slowing down as his career moves on. 00:29:54 Speaker 1: Midweek or major. I think this is major too. I do anything Lebron related usually major. 00:29:59 Speaker 2: But he thirty points, eight rebounds, eight assists in a win over the Pelicans. He bawled out him and Luca, and I think he deserves that. That's where load management makes sense in the NBA, right, You earn that as you get older. We made exceptions for Roger Clemens because he was an old guy. 00:30:14 Speaker 4: You making exceptions for a guy like Lebron. You know what I think here, guys, I think that it's major and it's the Spurs. It's it's major, but not because it's Lebron and he's sitting. It's major because by letting the fans know ahead of time, you're doing them a solid if point, Lebron's on a back to back Danny Cavino spot. If you're looking at it like, oh, I want to take my kids to see Lebron, but it's on a back to back, you know better? 00:30:38 Speaker 1: Yeah, YO want at your own risk. I think it's a good heads up. I have an does play and say hey, sorit. You know, I have no. 00:30:45 Speaker 4: Fault in him doing this. I do love that they're giving the fans the heads up. 00:30:49 Speaker 1: That's cool, all right? 00:30:51 Speaker 8: You pensioned it earlier, alluded to it. 00:30:53 Speaker 1: So. 00:30:54 Speaker 8: Former NFL star Matt Khalil has decided to sue his ex wife, model slash influencer Halle Bailey after her very public comments about his manhood. So as you recall, on a podcast appearance that quickly went viral, she described her ex's manhood has quote two coke cans, maybe even a third. So Khalil has filed suit alleging that her quote invasive commentary has spoiled his attempts to stay out of the public eye, saying that his family has been forced to endure the ongoing public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal statements. He's been remarried since twenty twenty four and his now wife is getting a lot of rude and inappropriate comments on her social media, so he's firing back. 00:31:40 Speaker 1: Suit's been filed Midweek Er Major. I think this is weak. 00:31:43 Speaker 2: Well, exes have usually terrible things to say about their ex husband and ex wife. This could have been a lot worse. She talked about his manhood and said how great he was. He actually she actually didn't just comment on that. She said he was a great guy. And now she's genuinely shocked, incredibly hurt by the lawsuit. She says, the litigation is harrowing and emotionally draining. She's heartbroken and this guy is far. 00:32:10 Speaker 4: I don't know if I feel bad for her, but I will say that you're right, there's plenty of worse things someone could say about an X, but maybe you know how exes operate. Sometimes maybe it was done spitefully knowing that it would bother the new wife. I mean better than when your ex said you had a five hour energy drink. 00:32:28 Speaker 1: Right, that's funny. 00:32:34 Speaker 7: You know. 00:32:35 Speaker 2: Here's why I don't agree with that though, And I'm staying to my ground because by suing. 00:32:41 Speaker 1: His ex wife, he just brings more attention to the story. I know if he just let it go, we wouldn't be talking about it again. Little mind one more quickiees. 00:32:49 Speaker 8: Fine it in of course, Travis Kelcey squeezeze, you know, talking about whether or not his You know, we will be retiring next season, real quick, he said. Quote, it's a tough thing to navigate. But at the same time, if my body can heal up, rest up, and I can feel confident, I can go out there and give it another eighteen twenty twenty one weeks. I think I would do it in a heartbeat. So still looming, you know, approaching free agency. So he's like, I'm an unemployed guy trying to figure out as a regular human what I'm going to be doing next season. So and he says that the team is aware and he loves. 00:33:21 Speaker 1: The game of football. 00:33:22 Speaker 8: We already all knew this, but just addressing it today on New Heights, mid Week or major. 00:33:27 Speaker 2: I think this is major because everybody's been waiting to see what he's going to do, and the truth is he still doesn't know. And right here on Fox Sports Radio I heard Jay stew and Bayern Kerry Rhad's talking about all this stuff, saying that it's it's tough because it's your identity and you don't want to give that up. Does he need the money, No, if you have anything else left to prove, absolutely not. But he knows that he's going to be sitting there on a Sunday thinking I could. 00:33:51 Speaker 1: Have done it and maybe have done it better. And this is who I am, think about it. This is all they know since they were little kids. 00:33:58 Speaker 2: It's not easy to give that up, so we as fans shouldn't be rushing them or forcing them to make those decisions. 00:34:03 Speaker 4: I heard Kerry Rhoads talking about the same thing. Yeah, and it was great insight because once you're done, when you're so recently removed, you will watch and be like they suck. I could still be out, should I should have played for more years? So I think rushing him out as whack. And by the way, Kelsey, you mean old Redwood? Is he going to Is he got Sue Taylor's swift? 00:34:24 Speaker 1: Yeah? Maybe? Gosh, you called it a big redwood opens my thought. Thank you, spotty boy. Thanks guys, thank you spot Let's go to our boy in yours prefet for an update. What's up, Chris? 00:34:35 Speaker 10: All right, guys, let's get you through everything's been happening in the sports world. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said he met with ownership on Wednesday, and reports are that he expects to be back as a head coach the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in twenty twenty six, in spite of an eight to nine record in missing the playoffs. For the forty nine Ers, Trent Williams, Ricky Piersoll, d Winters, and key On White were all held out of practice on Wednesday. Head coach Kyle Shannon says he's not sure Williams will be practice to either. Bears. Defensive back CJ. Gardner Johnson missed the second straight practice with a concussion. The Baltimore Ravens have requested interviews with the Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and Seahawks offensive coordinator Clint Kubiak. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson announced on his Instagram he's intending to declare for the NFL Draft on Wednesday. The Atlanta Hawks are working to move four time All Star Trey Young before the NBA trade deadline, Cordin to Sham Sharania, Young has made it known his top trade destination would be the Washington Wizards. The Chicago Cubs have acquired right handed pitcher Edward Cabrera for the Miami from the Miami Marlins in a trade. In exchange, the Marlins will receive top outfield prospect Owen Casey and two other hitting prospects. Guys, I don't know if it's just me, anytime I see the word Casey involved with baseball, it just feels right as someone who grew up with Casey in the bat. 00:35:50 Speaker 2: Back to you, guys, that's you perfect again. People that say success or did you just want to be susys? 00:38:47 Speaker 4: What did you pull a boorheat success? Another throwback that I think is old enough to bring back. 00:38:52 Speaker 2: Yeah, you might as well now talked. We talked about Pete Carroll and the elephant in the room. That's really the the gist of the story. The elephant was his big fat son. No seriously, because they're saying there was so much going on there and he was the problem as the offensive line coach. That was the entire problem, but no one wanted to speak about it out of respect for Pete Carroll, who's just looking out for his kid. So nepotism comes into play and they're saying that was really what was the problem with the Raiders this year. I said Cavino that, Hi, Cavino, I kind of understand nepotism. 00:39:32 Speaker 1: I get it, but it's on the kid to deliver. Agreed. 00:39:36 Speaker 2: Your parent wanting to do everything they can for their kid is just your natural instinct as a parent. 00:39:40 Speaker 1: That's every parent. I agree. 00:39:42 Speaker 4: If you're if you own, like you said, a landscaping company, if you're a dentist, if you're a law firm, whatever you do, if you own a cleaning company. 00:39:48 Speaker 1: Whatever you do. If your kid, you want to look out for your killing, you want to work with me like that's gonna look out. That's every industry. 00:39:54 Speaker 4: It's just in the NFL it's more visible and the stakes are higher. But Sam and I I was Sam, I said, I even understand Laurie Laughlin doing everything she can to try to get a kid into college, and she went to jail, which was so not deserved. 00:40:07 Speaker 1: I mean, do you just think she's hot, have mercy? 00:40:10 Speaker 4: You think Aunt Becky should have been in jail because she was did a sleazy thing. 00:40:14 Speaker 1: People, People, come on. 00:40:17 Speaker 13: Here's my thing with Lauria Laughlin. She's actually doing She did a disservice to her daughter or children or whoever was Because if you're paying someone to take the sat for you and then you get like a fifteen hundred whatever, then you get into college, you are not equipped to handle like an Ivy League school, then your your resume is complete. BS, why don't you want them to You want to build their character up, you want them to actually get an education. 00:40:39 Speaker 1: I agree that she didn't do the right thing here. Here's what I think. 00:40:43 Speaker 4: I understand why people do that though, because you're doing everything you can to put your kid in the best position. 00:40:49 Speaker 1: Cheater system here, though you're cheating them, is designed to be cheated. 00:40:51 Speaker 13: No, it's not. You get you buy them. You get them tutors, You get them tutors for the SAT and act. You get them, you know, you prep school whatever and have them do the work them selves and you help them off. 00:41:02 Speaker 1: I know. 00:41:02 Speaker 13: But but paying someone to take a test for you is like, it's just fraud, fraud, one hundred percent through and through. I just I think that that's setting them up for failure later in life because they're not going to have the education skills to be equipped to take on a real job. 00:41:17 Speaker 1: You think loyal left ones kids ever gonna have a real job anyway? Fine, then then hot influence find then she didn't even have to go to school. 00:41:25 Speaker 8: They just just enjoy the money that your family has. 00:41:27 Speaker 6: But like if you're going to an Ivy League school, you're getting. 00:41:29 Speaker 13: Into a good school, like you know USC, but it's all based on like a fraudulent resume and grades and test scores. Then you're not actually like going to succeed down the road with with with having. 00:41:39 Speaker 1: There is a difference here. 00:41:40 Speaker 2: The only commonality is willing to do anything for your kid, and that I understand. Cheating the system, lying, fraud, all these things are a bit different than what we're discussing here. Again, I still think the commonality is you want to open the door for your kids, and I find no crime in that. But it's up to your kids then to keep it open unless it's a crocket down, unless it is a crime. So and and that was a crime. So I understand what you're saying, but I actually agree with Sam here. But your thoughts Neppo babies right. We'll see you guys manyana. Until then, have a great night. Arriva there you baby, see you in the Promised Land, I guess
