Episode 29 - Ahriman Pt 2
On this episode we finalize out coverage of the greatest human sorcerer (outside of the primarchs, emperor, and malcador) Ahriman. On today's episode Ahriman arrives in the warp and is extra pissed off. From there embarks on the (at this point) most powerful spell ever performed, goes on the run, changes his mind and gives chase to his pursuers, only to finally uplift himself as the most powerful member of the Thousand Sons, after Magnus. From there he has some fun manipulating time, getting revenge on the space wolves, banging his head repeatedly on the door of the black library, until he decides to set his sights on a new objective....

[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast. [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Forty Kay, Lorcass with me, John Barzati and Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_01]: This guy. [SPEAKER_01]: On last episode, we covered the rise of Raman within the thousands suns until the space bulbs ended that rise. [SPEAKER_01]: Hard. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think you meant to say the burning of prosperity. [SPEAKER_01]: There we go. [SPEAKER_01]: On today's cast, we'll cover Raman's journey from this moment up to the beginning of like about tenth edition for Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_01]: As always, please like and subscribe the podcast. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want to help us out, we now have Patreon to help us upgrade some of our audio equipment. [SPEAKER_02]: Get the John way. [SPEAKER_01]: Leave a positive. [SPEAKER_01]: And make sure you leave a positive comment. [SPEAKER_01]: You have a negative comment. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, tell somebody that's not there. [SPEAKER_01]: Go find an empty room and shout it there. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm kidding. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm kidding. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not. [SPEAKER_01]: Come tell me personally. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not because then I'll fix it. [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm saying if you have a negative comment, don't put it there. [SPEAKER_02]: Just go to the discord, go to tell us how dumb we are. [SPEAKER_02]: And we'll accept that because we know. [SPEAKER_01]: I apologize and fix the problem. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not a big deal. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's start with a quick recap into Raman from last episode. [SPEAKER_01]: Raman was born on Earth. [SPEAKER_01]: He was one of the first recruits of thousands of sons. [SPEAKER_01]: He had twin brother, whose name I've already forgotten, and I'm not looking up again. [SPEAKER_02]: It's also wildly hard to say. [SPEAKER_01]: It's yeah, it's a ninety percent beginning. [SPEAKER_02]: And it also ends with a ZD. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or if you guys can't tell us a week between this recording, so I've now forgotten some of this stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: Shortly after being the crusade, other great crusade thousands of discovered, they were potent psychers and led to something called the flesh curse, which I need to do on this because this is again a guiding factor in Aeronomy's life. [SPEAKER_02]: Winnie's brother fell to the flesh curse. [SPEAKER_02]: The flesh curse isn't like, oh no, I'm a cat spawn. [SPEAKER_02]: It can't happen fast. [SPEAKER_02]: It can also happen horribly slow where your literal body turns little by little into a driving tentacle beast from the warp. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, from the warp, but also it horribly hurts and you're aware of the whole time because these are a dick, like just period. [SPEAKER_02]: Arama was tied psychically to his other psychic brother, his twin brother. [SPEAKER_02]: So he effectively went through death throws of his own and he is driven by this fear and then also driven by the fact that he's been [SPEAKER_02]: which we see a lot of times in our chaos here, anti-heroes. [SPEAKER_02]: He's been betrayed over and over and over again and been misled. [SPEAKER_02]: So these are two things that are really driving the things because he's gonna do some bad shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Am I making my saying that it's okay that he did this bad shit? [SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm just giving a pause for this bad shit to have happened. [SPEAKER_02]: When you look at it, you go, oh, he isn't just evil because he's evil. [SPEAKER_02]: He's evil because [SPEAKER_02]: He went down a goddamn long staircase of shit that happened to lead him down this this path that he eventually again chooses for his own. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, she let's dive into those at real quick because, you know, magnets will start with his first betrayal was Magnus. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus told him. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, Magnus triple. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, well, the first trial. [SPEAKER_01]: But he literally [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they were the first patrol magazine. [SPEAKER_01]: So Magnus told everyone, hey, I'm lifting this flesh curse. [SPEAKER_01]: But he did it by making a scene, but it was Zeanch. [SPEAKER_01]: No one knew this, but Magnus did that. [SPEAKER_01]: So Aramanda Scarborough's later that he actually didn't lift the curse. [SPEAKER_01]: He's made a deal with Zeanch. [SPEAKER_01]: The curse very much still existed. [SPEAKER_02]: And then also always knew about chaos, always knew about the war, knew about the gods of chaos, knew that there was powers there. [SPEAKER_02]: He could have effectively betrayed by his best friend. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, then he gets a warm drink betrays him. [SPEAKER_01]: I took giving him all the secrets. [SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't just put to betray him publicly betrays him in front of the Lord, the entire rulers, the Emperor takes the side of everyone who's against him and gives him all of his information. [SPEAKER_01]: And then let's not forget he then got betrayed by the Imperium because the thing is is [SPEAKER_01]: Arm on Magnus, none of these guys realized that the Emperor sent Lehman Russ to Prospero to just kind of smack Magnus. [SPEAKER_01]: What they saw was what Horst did, which was a sent Lehman Russ. [SPEAKER_01]: They believed the Emperor sent the Space Wolves to kill off the thousand sun. [SPEAKER_02]: All of them in destroy their planets. [SPEAKER_01]: This is where our man's at. [SPEAKER_01]: I've got not been betrayed by my primar who I've had implanted the impieted genes of. [SPEAKER_02]: I've been betrayed by the only really close friend I made in my journeys who literally used a market down people they keep my literally who used all my innermost thoughts that I told him in confidence and things that I thought were going to be that everything that's swayed him [SPEAKER_02]: and the Imperium to my ways of thinking. [SPEAKER_02]: And effectively used private conversations and all of the things that I thought were going to be great. [SPEAKER_02]: Remember, back to some of the, sorry, Aaron, one of the first, when we talked about, had his whole, guys, look, psychics are great. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at all the grittings I can do. [SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I got betrayed. [SPEAKER_01]: And then he basically made a video. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he made a montage of all of all his armons said and how bad they are. [SPEAKER_01]: He's finalized with the Emperor himself, the training him. [SPEAKER_01]: So, armon realizes that this stage, he just cannot trust anyone. [SPEAKER_02]: But then again, Magnus knows that the spaces are coming. [SPEAKER_02]: He finds that out also. [SPEAKER_01]: That's also that one too. [SPEAKER_02]: He just constantly... Magnus did a triple play, uh, betrayal line. [SPEAKER_01]: I at least, at least. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying, at least, being... Being minimals, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: At the end of all this, what we have is that our minds kind of come to terms with, I can't trust anyone, and all the problems that I encounter, there's only one person who's going to do it. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's me. [SPEAKER_01]: So effectively, I'm going to go fix all my own crap. [SPEAKER_01]: So with that, we'll start, we'll pick up from the storyline. [SPEAKER_02]: Magnus eventually stops going full emo. [SPEAKER_02]: And boom, we've got his, you know, prosperity being, whoops. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's in the world is now in the world. [SPEAKER_02]: Now I plan to the sources. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Now it's called the plan of sorcerers because for once the GW name something that actually makes some sense. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll have time I can't pronounce what they're saying. [SPEAKER_01]: And then the rest time they just phoned it in. [SPEAKER_01]: So this one is now. [SPEAKER_01]: They'll live on the planet of source of service. [SPEAKER_02]: I do want to point out the note here says, Aramana's furious with Magnus. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think furious really encompasses how wildly pissed off he is. [SPEAKER_01]: But our mind is at a level of anger towards magnets that really can't be quantified. [SPEAKER_01]: And at this stage, our mind's just done with them. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't need you anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: The biggest problem is once they arrive in the war, [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Zehnch's deal is concluded. [SPEAKER_01]: So all of these questions. [SPEAKER_02]: You can remember that one of the reasons why Magnus was letting himself get thunder kicked in the head was he was trying to in the worst way possible, by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, circumvent and get away from the prophecy of all of this stuff happening and him being fully in Zehnch and the thousand sons being effectively [SPEAKER_01]: It seems his army. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's what it was. [SPEAKER_01]: The idea here is that the thousands of people are going to become seen to his army. [SPEAKER_01]: That was the deal. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, and our mind decides. [SPEAKER_01]: Making me crazy. [SPEAKER_01]: Once they're in the warp, the flesh curse returns. [SPEAKER_01]: And if they just return, it goes, yeah, yeah, they're all just flipping into chaos. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if you're inside the warp, we're things will happen. [SPEAKER_02]: Once they get to the warp, the flesh curse returns, easily, and most of the legion doesn't even know where they are. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's a good. [SPEAKER_02]: Because remember, you were just getting your ass kicked. [SPEAKER_02]: Everything's going down. [SPEAKER_02]: You're somewhere that looks crazy. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and your buddy just turned into a spawn next to you. [SPEAKER_02]: You don't even understand how things are going on because not everybody's a psycher. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the legion are just dudes who souls have been given to zines by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: They have no idea this is happening. [SPEAKER_02]: And also, there are a lot of them are just mutating and no one knows what the hell's going on. [SPEAKER_02]: And the non-sikers [SPEAKER_02]: Also, don't really have any idea how to do anything about this. [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of the psychics, psychers are trained in psych defense and things like that. [SPEAKER_02]: They're going to hold it off a little bit, but the non-sikers are just, hey, man, is there a demon literally next to me right now? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, because I'm in the work. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just in that we haven't even fully in there in that weird halfway. [SPEAKER_01]: I have to say this was terrible writing. [SPEAKER_01]: They're halfway in the immaterial in the material. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's the whole I have to hear now the rift book. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: If you're going to know, but it's. [SPEAKER_02]: Think about this. [SPEAKER_02]: Things are just going shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there's something up with with someone up above. [SPEAKER_02]: Shit's going down. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not good. [SPEAKER_01]: Our among the sides at this stage. [SPEAKER_01]: He's going to take care of the flash curse himself. [SPEAKER_02]: Remember, [SPEAKER_02]: When we last ended the last episode, everybody, Aramon has the book of Magnus. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: He's got all the knowledge. [SPEAKER_02]: He is literally, number two, all of the knowledge that you can get, well, at least that mankind knows about, unless you're the emperor, and you've got all kinds of shit, and you won't let anybody know about it because you're a bad person. [SPEAKER_02]: But, I mean, it's a smash wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: But I will say, Magnus does forbid Araman from me. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is the one time I'm going to take Magnus aside. [SPEAKER_01]: Because Araman's entire plan here is to use the powers of the warp to overpower the curse that's on him and his brothers from a warp god. [SPEAKER_01]: This was probably not going to work in Magnus kind of knew it. [SPEAKER_01]: Is there been a bigger my bad than what is about to happen? [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: We're about to get into. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, what is called the rubric of our money. [SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise known as the rubric of damn nation. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you very much. [SPEAKER_01]: That's there we go. [SPEAKER_02]: You also, when something is also called the Rivergift Dam Nation, probably some shit didn't go as well as you would hope to. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, those who play Forty Kay, you're probably aware that the thousands songs are still part of the Zeanche. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, my other explain a lot of that too. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, to his credit, he got rid of mutations a hundred percent. [SPEAKER_01]: He did. [SPEAKER_01]: This, this is an option. [SPEAKER_01]: So our mind uses the book of Magnus and figures out a super special spell that will present the busy removes the flesh curse from them. [SPEAKER_01]: They test it out a few times and it's successful. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yes, you're not wrong in that telling. [SPEAKER_02]: but they was horribly successful because I don't know the God of Hidden Knowledge and Decide. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, made it so you were a hundred percent successful on your trials that again you're doing in the war in his realm where he is maximum power. [SPEAKER_01]: On beings at the who's souls he owns. [SPEAKER_01]: Weirdly, yeah, this thing works great. [SPEAKER_01]: Are my them realizes that the only way to save his Legion? [SPEAKER_01]: is to get a lot more psychic power. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, it's all it's like a power. [SPEAKER_01]: So he decides to build his own cabal of sorcerers. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, one of the first and also the largest that ever, I don't think there's ever been a bigger collection of anything. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sorcerers, I don't believe so. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't believe so. [SPEAKER_01]: And everyone comes together, including someone who's going to come up later. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on now because of the way we told the story we've been able to skip. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on it's probably a man knowing the British. [SPEAKER_01]: It's probably pronounced a man. [SPEAKER_01]: We've skipped a lot of the stories of magnets. [SPEAKER_01]: A man was the person who raised magnets like every single primary story. [SPEAKER_01]: There's someone who raises them. [SPEAKER_02]: And again, he was great. [SPEAKER_01]: He was kind of a second plan. [SPEAKER_01]: He was like a player. [SPEAKER_01]: Aimond's actually one of the better ones, like a lot of the people who raised the primarks in the stories tend to be kind of pieces of garbage, like chlorfarons, a pretty good example of this. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of them are trash food. [SPEAKER_01]: Like a lot of the people who are taking the primarks under their wing tend to later try to manipulate them. [SPEAKER_01]: Aimond never did. [SPEAKER_01]: Aimond do his credit was always supportive of magnets really cared from magnets, really meant to help. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to do a side thing on this. [SPEAKER_02]: I think that they're one of the reasons though. [SPEAKER_02]: is he's a super powerful dude unto himself. [SPEAKER_02]: So I think he has a lot less jealousy because I think a lot of the- I think a lot of the foster fathers of the primarks ended up being [SPEAKER_02]: notable figures that were jealous in the end. [SPEAKER_01]: There are a funny overshadowed. [SPEAKER_02]: They were big deals before. [SPEAKER_02]: And then they became side notes after. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because one of the views of Primark is one of your, you're like, hey, why doesn't more people talk, why don't people talk about me? [SPEAKER_02]: because the dude you hang out with is that my god, so we're probably gonna talk about it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, if you haven't listed our Dark Angels episode and be going off on Luther, God, it really is. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, Hercules and the dudes that came with him, yeah, that are always gonna be known as the dudes that came with him. [SPEAKER_02]: Who feet shorter than him? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no. [SPEAKER_01]: And for those who do metric, one point eight meter. [SPEAKER_01]: Like we're talking a lot, like it's a lot smaller. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not real. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, [SPEAKER_01]: The point being that was that our mind was able to put together effectively every powerful cycle that existed within the thousand sons because his his goal here was good. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to get rid of the flesh curse everyone's get rid of the flesh curse which again is I want to go over this again, and I know I've said it in both cast now. [SPEAKER_02]: Araman has Araman, Araman. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: He has actual good goal. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this is a great intention. [SPEAKER_01]: None of this is selfish in any way, shape or think he's actively trying to help his brother. [SPEAKER_01]: He's out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's not trying to show up Magnus here. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not trying to do anything. [SPEAKER_01]: He is [SPEAKER_01]: just saying there's a problem. [SPEAKER_01]: He's vanilla icing. [SPEAKER_01]: It was a problem. [SPEAKER_03]: He'll solve it. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow. [SPEAKER_01]: Check out the book baby. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a good luck out playing in your head the next twenty minutes. [SPEAKER_01]: The good news is the spell works. [SPEAKER_01]: The flesh curse is removed. [SPEAKER_02]: It's it's also one of the [SPEAKER_02]: I have to think back on this because there's been a couple of recent things that were bigger, like with the rest of the stuff like that. [SPEAKER_02]: But at the time, I really think that this might have been the biggest spell that's ever been attempted. [SPEAKER_02]: Powerwise. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, trying to think through going through heresy. [SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, this would have been it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because this affects every thousand sons, any, it doesn't matter where they are. [SPEAKER_01]: It has, you have to reach. [SPEAKER_01]: And that actually is one of the funnier parts is that as we've said, when Magnus teleported, [SPEAKER_01]: Prospero to the warp. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just Prospero. [SPEAKER_01]: There are random thousand sons just on a planet somewhere. [SPEAKER_01]: This spell hit them guys just hang it out. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, maybe quit like he's like I maybe the years ago he quit I'm out of a thousand sons. [SPEAKER_01]: He's on some planet like didn't matter. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's just farming just doing it. [SPEAKER_01]: This is again, having a drink and they're feed up all people [SPEAKER_02]: Especially the original legions. [SPEAKER_02]: You can make arguments for successors and all I can stuff, but the original legions are all effectively. [SPEAKER_02]: If you're D&D, they all have a silver, silver rope tie to them from the master plane, everyone is connected by their origin with the primer. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the reason I bring this up is, this is to me, I was laughing, writing it, thinking about some guy, just having a drink, and then like all of a sudden, what happens next just hits them at, at a nowhere, because they're not, they're not on the planet of sorcerers, just say it, but this did affect every single collision. [SPEAKER_01]: So all the energies that happened from this spell hit the thout the Marines everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: If they were a siker, they were cured. [SPEAKER_02]: If you are a sliker and you have to be a significant sliker, but if you're a sliker and the thousand sons, you know what? [SPEAKER_02]: This spell worked perfectly. [SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't have been happier. [SPEAKER_01]: Just your nerds. [SPEAKER_02]: You're having mutations. [SPEAKER_02]: You feel great. [SPEAKER_02]: You just got a B-Twelve shot. [SPEAKER_02]: You're ready to rock and roll. [SPEAKER_02]: How ever, if you are not, I just snorted on that, because I love this so much, because I've never, I've been joking about this since I've been playing the game for two and a half decades, which is everyone else, Arama had to go, whoopsy, my bad, because there's a reason why thousands of sons have a rule called, all is dust, whoops, because everyone that wasn't a psycher, [SPEAKER_02]: just got dusted inside their armor, which was sealed and their soul was trapped in your mouth. [SPEAKER_01]: It's that mean this story is crazy. [SPEAKER_01]: The amount of energy that hit them was so powerful that it disintegrated them into ash, but was also so hot that it sealed their armor, so tight that their soul couldn't escape it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: So effectively, all, and this is when we say, all of thousands, the vast majority of thousands of sons were not super powerful psychers. [SPEAKER_01]: So we're talking like, ninety eight percent of the Legion. [SPEAKER_01]: Now maybe maybe not as low as ninety five are now husks. [SPEAKER_01]: They are a piece of power armor or terminator armor that is sealed and a soul is trapped inside. [SPEAKER_01]: But that's all that's isn't that that's inside. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, let's talk about dad. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Magnus, he's Magnus senses this spell go off and he's a little less than cool about it. [SPEAKER_02]: I would say he's definitely giving it a zero. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry to be helpful. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus, so they did this spell in a tower on the plan of sorcerers, because of course, it's in a tower. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I have to give Aaron on mad props to this. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Because everyone else in the cabal. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's wait. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's take a look at this. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's take a look at this. [SPEAKER_01]: So Magnus senses this and very attacks the tower. [SPEAKER_01]: Just tell it towards the tower. [SPEAKER_01]: Tell it towards the tower. [SPEAKER_01]: And it starts wrecking shock. [SPEAKER_02]: is a newly formed demon primar bubbly. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a good point. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he went from a nine foot tall man with one eye to a. Fourteen foot tall wing. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And with two artifacts now in his hand. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So he comes in and immediately all of the psychors just bend the knees. [SPEAKER_01]: They were, are bad, are bad, are bad, are bad. [SPEAKER_02]: Except for one right. [SPEAKER_02]: Magnus is new. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: gives him the big f-u. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And goes, what? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, hey, remember when I fixed shit when you didn't fix anything? [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: This is a ballsy move, because Airman's a tough dude. [SPEAKER_02]: Magnus would accidentally devastate Airman into Duffins. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He could actually pull him off. [SPEAKER_01]: You've seen Deadpool two when the juggernaut pulls. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He pulls Deadpool in half. [SPEAKER_01]: That's easy move for Magnus in our mind. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like, laughably. [SPEAKER_02]: There is no, you're, air mod and magnets are fighting in the main event. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, no, seriously, who's fighting? [SPEAKER_02]: Cause that's gonna last twenty two seconds. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it doesn't want to. [SPEAKER_01]: What, what a dumb fight. [SPEAKER_01]: Could, could I bet on just how many seconds it takes before you rip something half? [SPEAKER_01]: And to Magnus' credit, um, he decides, yeah, I've had enough of arm on now and goes to kill arm on. [SPEAKER_01]: However, he can't. [SPEAKER_01]: True story. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He can't kill him as he goes to hit him. [SPEAKER_01]: He effectively, his hand is stays with us in the book. [SPEAKER_02]: And we, I got to give this to kind of the same thing that's going on with the deathguard, which we'll hit. [SPEAKER_02]: At some point in time, we've talked about it though, with our hair or a seresy. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, castle we've done. [SPEAKER_02]: The actual champion of the gods isn't the primer. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: As with Typhus with Deathguard, [SPEAKER_02]: Let's be honest, ma'am. [SPEAKER_01]: Ozeem should love the airman, so does. [SPEAKER_02]: Airman also [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to say that people bitch because Magnus is fairly popular, but like, air monster more worthy foe. [SPEAKER_02]: He's also more fun to lead along. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, I would argue, I mean, man, but he's more close. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's get him real trouble here. [SPEAKER_01]: Of the chaos legions, that exists in Forty K. We've got three primarks, correct? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we have three primarks that are available for playing Forty K. [SPEAKER_02]: Angron, Morty, and that thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I would argue, Angron is probably maybe Karna betrayer. [SPEAKER_01]: I think in most cases that the space marines, that there's a key space marines actually more, from a lower standpoint, it's more interesting than the primary. [SPEAKER_02]: So, Karna, it's amazing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there we go. [SPEAKER_02]: He's also more dedicated to Karna. [SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, I just... And Wilde Morty's not even close. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, type us as way. [SPEAKER_01]: Type us as, like, laughably. [SPEAKER_01]: The models better, and the models are way better on the proper. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: But I think this is with it. [SPEAKER_02]: I actually think from a Zeech standpoint, you have to look at, he gets pleasure in the long-term plan. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: The constant betrayal. [SPEAKER_02]: And Zeech can see the future. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the biggest. [SPEAKER_02]: But Zeech knows that he's going to do these things. [SPEAKER_02]: But also, I think that, like, loosely with Charlie Brown, yeah, I'm going that far back. [SPEAKER_02]: no one has pulled the football away more than Zeech has pulled the football away from Aramon. [SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is is, but to give the proud GW props, or they need props, we've given shit on bad writing. [SPEAKER_02]: They've done a great job over the years of leaving Aramon on, giving you just enough rope. [SPEAKER_02]: That's Lee Hameself. [SPEAKER_01]: He does get annoying by the end of this cast. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: It's because he falls for things that, yes, but like it's always he's trying to get there. [SPEAKER_02]: And he does get a lot of successes before he gets the right pulled out. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's the habit on situation of like a certain point. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: He, he, he, Aramon does do a way worse job than Abidon does on being self aware. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Because of the fact that he has [SPEAKER_02]: goals that are, I mean, basically, I'm reachable to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_02]: It's fair. [SPEAKER_02]: But Abadon has real goals that are, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Possibly mean as of the writing, Stu, he's doing a good job of that. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Armons. [SPEAKER_02]: Armon has, like, also goals. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, really man, like, like, world peace, uh, though, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: No, that world, galaxy peace. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, my bad. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, as we're saying, Magnus goes to kill our him on and the downside of giving your soul over to a chaos guy is he actually can stop you from doing things and just stops Magnus mid strike. [SPEAKER_02]: This is also the time when Zange could do, he probably still can do, but definitely at this point, because Magnus is new to his new powers. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: So he hasn't found his own way. [SPEAKER_02]: Magnus has been involved in twenty-seven thousand ritual since then. [SPEAKER_01]: We're probably at this point, maybe a couple weeks into Magnus being a demon print. [SPEAKER_01]: So he just discovered that Zange can stop and do his own stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: So he does. [SPEAKER_01]: He stays. [SPEAKER_01]: He seems to his hands. [SPEAKER_01]: He knew how valuable are among a B-doin and just won't allow Magnus to kill him. [SPEAKER_01]: What's going to happen to Magnus, then decides, I can't kill you, but I'm vanishing you from the Cabal of Sorceress. [SPEAKER_02]: He kind of goes, I can't kill you right now, but you know I'm going to be able to kill you. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go figure this out. [SPEAKER_02]: We have a pretty fickle dude that's in charge here. [SPEAKER_02]: He may or may not have a couple of guys with two heads that say different things. [SPEAKER_02]: He changes his mind a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: You need to get the hell out of Dodge. [SPEAKER_01]: So Armand takes this and he decides I'm going to go into exile because he also has the same realization that that zine's tricked him. [SPEAKER_01]: He does realize that you know the same way zine's just stopped magazine doing something zine's tricked him into this. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is the first of many of Aramon's wild flawed reasoning. [SPEAKER_02]: Because, yeah, Aramon decides, I need to get more powerful, but how am I getting more powerful? [SPEAKER_02]: I need to get more powerful by getting more zinch power and more knowledge from the god of knowledge so that the god of knowledge and deceit doesn't betray me again. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, you should say that out loud. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, write that down, look at it a few times, and then hit yourself. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So Aramon goes into exile. [SPEAKER_01]: No one really knows where he is. [SPEAKER_01]: He just disappears. [SPEAKER_01]: That being said, people were pretty pissed. [SPEAKER_01]: As Pit Magnus was the most pissed, but the other psychers were also pissed because every one they knew is now a automaton. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're all dead. [SPEAKER_01]: Like just dead. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, actually, dead would be way cooler than being a soul trapped in a piece of armor, screaming soul, by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I forgot to mention you're also being tortured to hold. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you don't want to be in there. [SPEAKER_01]: As we mentioned earlier, A-mon is now takes up effectively the mantle of literature, because magnus has always start sulking and gets sad. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I like magnus so much more before we had to do this cast, because I had to remind myself, I've never looked at all of them in together. [SPEAKER_02]: Man, there's so many times what magnus is at home, like listening to the Smiths just being sad. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, so many eighties are references today, but. [SPEAKER_01]: Ammon decides that the only way to reverse the curse of Aramon is to use Aramon. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not really clear what their plan was. [SPEAKER_01]: I assume it was sacrifice Aramon who knows. [SPEAKER_01]: But effectively, they decide, we're going to track down Aramon to undo the undoing of the flesh curse. [SPEAKER_01]: Zeanches just all. [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of who's doing it at this point in time there. [SPEAKER_02]: I think they made it a little too basic because it's kind of, I'll just kill this dude that did it and it'll all work itself out. [SPEAKER_02]: And again, you're like, yeah, man, but you're [SPEAKER_02]: Sacrificing him to the dude that let this app did it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we keep the thousands of sons are in this kind of like in Fendi loop of I'm gonna go out over power and out to see the God of knowledge and deceit and I'm gonna do it by using the powers of deceit and knowledge from that God and you're kind of like this is never going to work [SPEAKER_02]: But the whole leaving the guy that sees the future and gives you your power. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, it's probably going to be such here. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Amon ends up being kind of a dick. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, this is the stage where Amon does turn a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: He forms his own legion within the thousand sons. [SPEAKER_01]: He calls in the brotherhood of dust. [SPEAKER_01]: he then takes this lesion decides to affect the conquer all the religions in the thousand. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it does like gang is caught. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: He just keeps showing up places and going, hey, you want to join me? [SPEAKER_02]: Or would you like me to kill you? [SPEAKER_02]: And you're like, well, I guess I don't agree with you, but also I'm super cool with that guy. [SPEAKER_01]: I bring it up and it's an awkward thing to bring up because it has no bearing on any part of the story. [SPEAKER_01]: but it's important. [SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to explain that in the sense because we'll get to it in a minute. [SPEAKER_01]: But effectively, Amon takes this one, like, faction within the Legion and it grows massively, but he does it through just brute force. [SPEAKER_02]: What the thing is, it's fairly easy to do this though because every sorcerer is leading. [SPEAKER_02]: a squad of, which is now rumored range, or they're actually leading more, but in the game, they're leading shots. [SPEAKER_02]: But if you get an exalted sorcerer, you're going to expite, you get all the guys that they're effectively controlling. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: So you need to convince one dude to get fifty guys. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: It's a aim on at the same time that he's growing this brotherhood of dust. [SPEAKER_01]: He's searching for armor. [SPEAKER_02]: Hardcore searching for him. [SPEAKER_02]: We're talking Empire Strikes back, get all the bounty hunters together, searching for armor. [SPEAKER_02]: This isn't like a, hey man, I'm casually searching for armor. [SPEAKER_02]: It's higher everyone and or tell them you'll kill them. [SPEAKER_02]: and search for him. [SPEAKER_01]: And fun little fortune. [SPEAKER_01]: Kind of like Abadon. [SPEAKER_01]: Armon was totally fine living his other life doing his own thing, but if you corner him, you're going to discover what armon really was. [SPEAKER_02]: And he also does a full Thanos on this, because air bond is off like farming or some shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Armon is literally on, he's in a war band of chaos Marines devoted to corn. [SPEAKER_01]: Not world-eaters, just a random... I do like that as setting as farming, while he's like straight murder-festing people. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, just the... But he was... In my mind, he's just doing... He's not hanging out yet. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's doing these guys because he kind of turned the mind off to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, he was doing his own research. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing that Arma is Arma is unrecognized, quickly, that his psychic powers made him a beacon. [SPEAKER_01]: So if he was using them, heavily, people would find him. [SPEAKER_01]: And we get all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so he's just been reading. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_02]: He clicks off. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And so he's hiding as a sorcerer initiate, which is funny because hiding for him is life or death combat. [SPEAKER_02]: I said he's farming. [SPEAKER_02]: But that is farming for him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's just me. [SPEAKER_01]: And I laugh he's with corn who don't like psychers. [SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to be an unimportant psycher, go be a psycher, you know, sorcerer for corn. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not a big fan. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So if a man gets a lead on where on arm on location within this, like, [SPEAKER_01]: Corn Warband. [SPEAKER_01]: And since this guy named Tolbeck, Tolbeck actually was one of Aramans, like, friends, apprentices, whatever term you want to call with Aramans, knowing that he would be able to expose Aramans. [SPEAKER_01]: things do not go up. [SPEAKER_01]: No, he walks into a bridge, confronts our mind and our mind notices who he is and just explodes with psychic energy, killing everyone around him. [SPEAKER_01]: And one of my favorite stories is he then jumps into the mind of toll back, recognizing, because he wants to know who's, he doesn't just jump into the mind. [SPEAKER_02]: He goes, I'm gonna wreck this guy's mind and find anything I can while I'm doing. [SPEAKER_01]: The guy's basically already dead, but the toll bag sees this coming and actually self emulates himself. [SPEAKER_01]: He literally uses his own powers to light him to burn himself off the inside. [SPEAKER_02]: So are him on can't figure out, which was also probably better for him. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's he's actually. [SPEAKER_02]: It's wildly better for him if we read farther into the stories, which we'll tell you about. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: because our amount super not friendly. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, don't get like taken hostage prisoner by psychers in the Forty K world because they will do crazy things to you. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, hey, I can't escape my own mind. [SPEAKER_01]: This dough does have a side effect. [SPEAKER_01]: Ourmon's explosion of psychic powers, he kills the crew, he ends up taking toll back ship because his ships like gets wrecked by this. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care why. [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is, as he said in a second ago, he's a beacon of energy. [SPEAKER_01]: And now, Ammon knows where he is. [SPEAKER_02]: He didn't kill a three guys. [SPEAKER_02]: He just murdered shit in. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he just he exploded like energy and everyone just melted around him. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's what it was. [SPEAKER_01]: He just he opened the last the raiders in the lost our guard. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And face melted everybody. [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone around him is dead. [SPEAKER_01]: A-Mond senses him and goes, all right, I'm sending everyone after him. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's actually, these stories read the books. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to get you guys all the stories, but effectively, he rips through thousands of songs, cultists, demons. [SPEAKER_01]: There's actually a pseudo-demon print that A-Mond takes out in this period. [SPEAKER_01]: And each time someone who comes to kill him, he does the same interrogation if you're who's sending you, who's sending you. [SPEAKER_01]: I am, because A-Mond, as we said, Calagabadden, has now flipped a bit of a switch. [SPEAKER_01]: He went into hiding in seclusion and now he's on team murder face. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, sorry guys, you should have left. [SPEAKER_02]: Stop poking the bear in both of those stories. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: The guy said, I'm pretty done with all this. [SPEAKER_02]: Nothing is gone right for me. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to kind of switch it off and just do whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: And then you came after me's like, so it's going to be like that. [SPEAKER_01]: Eventually, our mind does discover a team on who's coming, who's coming for him in our mind goes, we'll screw that. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to kick him in the ass and goes over there. [SPEAKER_01]: He does. [SPEAKER_01]: I've got to read the books. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't play diving too far into this. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a cool battle, actually. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he loses the first battle and gets captured by aim on. [SPEAKER_01]: And which is cool, he gets us with all GW writing. [SPEAKER_01]: He then has some random allies who show up for no reason. [SPEAKER_01]: And they go to a scape, just as they're getting out of the ship, aim on a pierce in front of him. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, the story is better than that, but I have to shoot on a little bit because it's the tripod. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go get you. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to lose my battle. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to get captured. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what was me? [SPEAKER_01]: Then I'm going to run away and then I get one more chance to fight you. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, ourmon and amon now have a psychic duel. [SPEAKER_02]: It is kind of cool because of the fact that [SPEAKER_02]: The cost of a psychic duel is wildly worse than a regular duel. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: You can be healed. [SPEAKER_02]: You can be whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: If you lose a powerful cycle on a psychic duel, [SPEAKER_02]: They effectively snuff out your soul, because you are fighting with soul powers effectively. [SPEAKER_02]: That is what happens when you draw from the warp. [SPEAKER_02]: You draw from your inner self. [SPEAKER_02]: You're powering this stuff from your ability to control basically powers from the warp through you. [SPEAKER_02]: And when you lose, well, shit goes bad. [SPEAKER_02]: You're kind of just snuffed out. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's the fact that what happens here, Aramon and Amon are fighting, and eventually Aramon unleashes one last little piece of information. [SPEAKER_01]: The rubric that cursed the Legion, also bound the Legion to one person. [SPEAKER_01]: That person now has complete control of that Legion, every member, and that person is Aramon. [SPEAKER_01]: Because this is his spell. [SPEAKER_01]: This is cool as hell. [SPEAKER_01]: What he ends up doing is, effectively taking control of a mon's body and creates a psychic fire around him and everyone. [SPEAKER_01]: I melt him down and melts him down. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like separate as horns. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, two things. [SPEAKER_01]: What's helmet? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so two things happen. [SPEAKER_01]: First off, the, if, anyway, who play Forty K that the helmet that arm on wears with the giant horns, [SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't his helmet. [SPEAKER_01]: That was A-Mont's helmet. [SPEAKER_01]: That helmet comes as this fire is burning all of A-Mont's power armor breaks off of him and goes over to Arman and reforms on top of Arman, including the helmet. [SPEAKER_01]: Additionally though, in the Horace legacy, the thousands of sons were in army that were red. [SPEAKER_01]: In Forty Kay, they're blue. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what happens. [SPEAKER_01]: It shift this fire. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really? [SPEAKER_01]: It's their armor. [SPEAKER_02]: Sure there. [SPEAKER_01]: Brad is making a face at me because I forgot he can't see. [SPEAKER_01]: Brad is colorblind and he just discovered something. [SPEAKER_01]: Dicks. [SPEAKER_01]: Brad, Brad just learned something about thousand sons. [SPEAKER_01]: They're black. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: That all is happened to us now. [SPEAKER_01]: We kind of get this transition of thousands of sons going from heresy, you know, like the thirty-cate thousand sons to forty-cate thousand sons. [SPEAKER_01]: Our mind is now the head of the Legion. [SPEAKER_01]: Their armor is blue with gold trim. [SPEAKER_02]: And we also have again, Rubric Reigns, if you're Rubric whatever, you are trapped inside your home, you always dust. [SPEAKER_02]: And you are led by a siker. [SPEAKER_02]: And you have to be led by a siker because you are a automaton. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's been from then till now. [SPEAKER_01]: And now, Raman is, and this is where, I mean, the writing here gets a little bit tricky because technically, Raman is now has power over the entire region. [SPEAKER_02]: What in this Magnus has Magnus is this polarizing figure because he's amazingly awesome and he's amazingly [SPEAKER_01]: Lane. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Armons a much better leader for the thousands. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, thousands. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not powerful. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus is just. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Magnus is bonkers feel powerful. [SPEAKER_01]: Although I will say I played three games at a depth of con team with my thousands of songs. [SPEAKER_01]: I had Magnus and Armon. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus died in two of those three teams. [SPEAKER_01]: Armon did not end, but I will stick with it. [SPEAKER_02]: You do to work flavors, baby, that are plus one to win, re-reeling wounds on an objective. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't bring those. [SPEAKER_01]: I was it was team tournaments. [SPEAKER_01]: I just brought both of us and he just made me sad. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's on the first try to win. [SPEAKER_02]: By the way, they're free. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not us. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know, but if you're trying to win it, that's the kind of team tournament. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of like really bringing that name more famous Ross anyway. [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome. [SPEAKER_01]: They are way cooler. [SPEAKER_01]: Moving on at that after this stage, to a couple of side stories about our mind, they get us up to forty the Fortress mind. [SPEAKER_01]: So Caliope. [SPEAKER_01]: one of the big advantages to armament coming back to the full of thousand sons is he's now light years more powerful because not only did he kill a money absorbed a month sold at the same time armans learning all of the ways of the scene and one of the really cool things in which can do is affect time is not necessarily time travel but he can affect time it isn't it's not it we can argue this one of the [SPEAKER_02]: Aramon does a lot of conflicting things in the book, because because of the warp and the fact that it affects time. [SPEAKER_02]: Again, we've talked about how sometimes you travel and you show up before you left. [SPEAKER_02]: Magnes are, sorry, Aramon does a lot of this. [SPEAKER_02]: in a constant, but small scale. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's never huge jumps, but he's almost always doing back and forth. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like he almost has the ability to kind of to make small changes to the feats. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you bet, if you like, you know, Greek mythology, I do like, he can affect the feats a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: And, and Caliope is one. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a quick man. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, man. [SPEAKER_02]: But this is another one of his obsessions. [SPEAKER_02]: It's one of the knowledge obsessions. [SPEAKER_01]: He is. [SPEAKER_02]: Airman's self-aware in the fact we said he's not as much as we have it done, but he is aware that he's in a losing battle, but he's in a, he's obsessed with finding a way to cheat out, to stop fate from happening, to stop the guy that's wildly more powerful than sees the future. [SPEAKER_02]: So he's obsessed with, [SPEAKER_02]: How can I win this game that the guy already won? [SPEAKER_02]: Twenty seven thousand moves ago. [SPEAKER_02]: How can I cheat this? [SPEAKER_02]: How can I stop this from happening? [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, but continue. [SPEAKER_01]: But he, this is a good side because what he realizes is that he can't take the knowledge seen just giving him because he'll never get the full knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: He can't ask to get the other knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's two places that this knowledge exists, the Imperium and hint, hint, do are getting a little bit further. [SPEAKER_01]: The Elder. [SPEAKER_01]: But we'll start with the Imperium. [SPEAKER_01]: There was always a world in the Imperium called Caliope. [SPEAKER_01]: Caliope. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do this with Italian because he's a Caliope. [SPEAKER_02]: Caliope. [SPEAKER_01]: Caliope. [SPEAKER_01]: It's easier for you to pronounce it that way. [SPEAKER_01]: So Caliope was a literary planet which we didn't cover in our worlds because I forgot to do the library world. [SPEAKER_02]: because a lot of them are considered forbidden worlds. [SPEAKER_01]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, we technically covered it. [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we actually probably has cut all these off. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The funny thing, much of these aren't listed at all. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the funny thing about literary worlds is they are not a collections of data knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: They're collections of parchment and books. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Old school, a planet size. [SPEAKER_01]: The exactly here's warehouse in Indiana Jones, but a plant. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's important to know that it's also like the warehouse and maybe in the Jones, have it's at ninety nine point nine percent of shit is forgotten. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like you could have the secrets to have creation and it's in row seven hundred. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the two missing primarks were just in there with descriptions and everything, probably what was done to them. [SPEAKER_02]: So, and you're like, yeah, that's right behind the best way to make cheese. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: One day in Colorado, though, [SPEAKER_01]: I got you open. [SPEAKER_01]: So many changes. [SPEAKER_01]: It's care takers. [SPEAKER_01]: A small cult starts to form within the care takers talking about how, hey, we should be converting all of these books and all the stuff to a digital format and start, you know, basically making the first Kindle of this super Kindle. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're also, they're just afraid that it's going to be destroyed. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And they just because it comes up, and this cult grows, though, the whole planet's part of it. [SPEAKER_01]: And they begin converting all of these tombs, parachments, everything into a centralized database. [SPEAKER_01]: And with all this, you could Wikipedia for, you know, the Imperium. [SPEAKER_01]: on the day that the that the emperor isn't honed the golden throne, the last piece of the last parchment was typed in. [SPEAKER_01]: And as soon as it does, the planet goes silent, the imperial loses loses access to it, just disappears to them. [SPEAKER_01]: And in classic imperial fashion, it takes him a decade to show up. [SPEAKER_02]: Which, by the way, legendarily fast. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that would be quick yet. [SPEAKER_01]: You're right. [SPEAKER_01]: That was that was quick. [SPEAKER_01]: Like the turnaround time on this is top speed. [SPEAKER_01]: They get there. [SPEAKER_01]: They discover that everyone's basically digs up for a few random people who somehow found enough food because they're all just husks of them. [SPEAKER_01]: The database is gone. [SPEAKER_01]: And those who were there just mentioned that all they remember from the moment that happened was a horned blue figure with blue flames around it. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That sounds like somebody I know. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: So this is, I like that story because we're talking about Raman's ability. [SPEAKER_01]: He didn't necessarily, he didn't travel back in time and do it. [SPEAKER_01]: He just affected the time a little bit to send them on a path to do something for him, and he was able to capture all this information. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he takes all of the, he's like, thanks for the, thanks for the stuff, nerd, and kicks in to the base. [SPEAKER_01]: So, which is funny in itself. [SPEAKER_01]: Then we're gonna get into a story Brad may not like as much. [SPEAKER_02]: Get out of my books, man. [SPEAKER_01]: We all love space books. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, later on at the forty first millennium, summer, like, like, let's like, yeah, a little bit of jumping so far ahead. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, because it's, it's, I'm like, we can jump all over bits easier. [SPEAKER_02]: The thing is, is that, and I, I encourage you guys to read the thousand songs books, the Magnus books, which are two different books weirdly enough, [SPEAKER_02]: are two different sets of books, actually. [SPEAKER_02]: And the trilogy, people ask all the time of the discord, give us recommendation. [SPEAKER_02]: The trilogy of our month. [SPEAKER_02]: The trilogy of our month is one of the top five of my favorite series. [SPEAKER_02]: There's individual books that are like more. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: But it's definitely my top five of the trilogy, a multi series. [SPEAKER_01]: They're actually they're quite well written. [SPEAKER_01]: They're a little bit hard to follow. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't read them tired. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's so much stuff going on. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it, it, it time hops are my, is this where he doesn't, is how they time hops, but it just, you really have to kind of keep track. [SPEAKER_02]: They also don't write them in in. [SPEAKER_02]: progression. [SPEAKER_02]: They go back and forth in the stories of what happens in time because he's also living it that way because he goes back and forth in the war. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, arm on it spends a lot of his time being just in the war thinking and so his brains all over. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he does two things. [SPEAKER_02]: He goes back and forth in the war. [SPEAKER_02]: And he also spends kind of a lot of time in the web way. [SPEAKER_02]: Not super successful because the Holocaust wins literally wrecking all the time, but we won't get into that as much. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we're going to get into it. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, say we're going to get into it. [SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to get into it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not the garlic. [SPEAKER_01]: That's boring. [SPEAKER_02]: That true story. [SPEAKER_01]: Arm on suddenly gets a phone call from his dad. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the best thing was, it's like, Magnus leaves him a voicemail. [SPEAKER_01]: You ran them text from Magnus. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, wanna catch up. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's been eight thousand years. [SPEAKER_01]: It's been eight thousand years. [SPEAKER_01]: It actually has been, now it's been eight, five hundred. [SPEAKER_01]: It's been a while. [SPEAKER_01]: They're tempers have cooled. [SPEAKER_01]: It's been a while, bro. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus decides, hey, remember when the space wolves jacked us? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, this is an easy lure though, because one, if you recall, [SPEAKER_02]: the guy individually who betrayed airman that he's going to remember for I don't know forever. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Was a space wolf and also he wasn't super excited about the whole prosperity was burning thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: So if you're going to prod somebody into action, this is probably a kind of it. [SPEAKER_02]: This is a layup right now. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm also going to throw a little bone of the space wolves, uh, Lehman Russ isn't around anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: So true. [SPEAKER_02]: That that doesn't make you hold on. [SPEAKER_01]: So our primarx here and yours isn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah, and we also have a mini-prime-market arm on. [SPEAKER_01]: So we're gonna, we're gonna go have a party. [SPEAKER_01]: They decide it's time to go get revenge in the space wolves. [SPEAKER_01]: Fenris is just hanging out, having his normal day, and you only can move you when a really bad storm is on the horizon. [SPEAKER_01]: Instead of the horizon, make it your entire system. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's a warp storm. [SPEAKER_01]: That demon starts shooting out of almost instantly of everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Where in the system? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Luckily, they were able to get a call out. [SPEAKER_01]: And the Grey Knights and the Dark Angels. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, a note here. [SPEAKER_01]: The Grey Knights and the Dark Angels arrive. [SPEAKER_01]: They never make it clear if they did the Dark Angels or the Fallen. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think you meant to say the reason I'm going with the fallen help. [SPEAKER_01]: How long was it the fallen decade? [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, two decades. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, ten thousand years. [SPEAKER_01]: You wouldn't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought in gameplay. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, twenty five years. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm, it's okay. [SPEAKER_01]: It takes me a little bit to learn the new name. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'll get in there. [SPEAKER_01]: Still falling out there too. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't get no. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_02]: The lion does cut their hands off when he meets them. [SPEAKER_02]: The real quick on his judgments. [SPEAKER_01]: The dark angels are great nights and the grand show up. [SPEAKER_01]: The great nights are not in a good mood because there are nothing but demons everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: They're also never in a good mood. [SPEAKER_01]: It's true, but they're in a especially bad mood. [SPEAKER_01]: The dark angels are just like what they have. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean also talking about people that are never in a good mood. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus though has brought with him, one of my favorite things. [SPEAKER_01]: It's amazing. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's impossible. [SPEAKER_01]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_01]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_01]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_01]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible. [SPEAKER_01]: And they won't give the shoot. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's the, well, or charge is better. [SPEAKER_01]: Or any, yeah, they can charge and you don't get the fight, but the changing does. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about, it's a very fun role in Tenth Edition that the changing has really cool model, too. [SPEAKER_01]: Like a very, very cool model. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, the changing is, it's like the ultimate deceiver within Z. It's power is to make, is to make you view the world or whatever that we're going to receive. [SPEAKER_02]: He, he also has your perception of reality. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so much so that the dark angels do an orbital bombardment of Fenris. [SPEAKER_02]: Because they think that it's only demons on the planet. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a really cool scene. [SPEAKER_01]: It's in a book so read it and use your imagination. [SPEAKER_01]: This battle is just completely falling apart as a result of this. [SPEAKER_01]: The space walls are being attacked by demons, thousands of sons, dark angels. [SPEAKER_01]: It's all over. [SPEAKER_01]: The great nights are just gave overrun mentally. [SPEAKER_02]: For all you space walls fans, the space walls do continue to kick the shit out of every one during all of this. [SPEAKER_01]: a period of time. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it is pretty awesome. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the spacers are not, they, they do not take this lying down. [SPEAKER_02]: No, they, they, hey, everyone's attacking us. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to hit all of them. [SPEAKER_01]: Roadhouse. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Not known for their tactics. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But they are toughy shit. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to keep hitting things and my wall's going to bite things. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Over the people that are into thinking, put nine towers over the planet. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where these nine shimmering towers appear over Fenris and they're actually portals. [SPEAKER_01]: Not a good look. [SPEAKER_01]: Out of the portals, all of a thousand suns come out in, you know, just nonstop. [SPEAKER_01]: And after a few more days, the purpose of these towers, yeah, by three days, the purpose of the towers comes true. [SPEAKER_01]: They actually captured space walls. [SPEAKER_01]: Boyled them in cauldrons, I don't care why, but they did. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is the final ritual work. [SPEAKER_02]: I think no sense. [SPEAKER_02]: It was, yeah, this was like, hey, sometimes you're going to cook a couple of guys. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, why? [SPEAKER_02]: We're just weird. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is the way we had to write it anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: Effectively what they were really doing is they were sacrificing prospero. [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I don't know if it's Magnus and his team. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I wrote this and we're doing this again. [SPEAKER_01]: What was really going on here with these towers and the, you know, boiling of space walls is what they were doing was they were sacrificing all of the people, all this battle on Fenris to gallon or enough energy. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's just really, they do. [SPEAKER_02]: And they do the neighboring planet. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's not clear whether they're grabbing all of a lot of the life around the planet. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not a hundred percent clear to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_02]: You can tell us over wrong, everyone, but like in the stories itself, it feels like they're just trying to get as much life as they possibly can. [SPEAKER_02]: And by sacrificing the wolves that they got, they get [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know partial connection, but they don't get a full connection. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't make, they make, they don't make fenders lifeless. [SPEAKER_01]: No, because fenders still very much so exist when we're done with this sort of for a little bit longer. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's still very prospero as a result of all this energy, just blanks back into reality and now exists back in the material. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but [SPEAKER_02]: in a road rudder level of mojo, the imperium tries to show with its acne catapult that they bought. [SPEAKER_02]: And smoke bomb, I'm out of here. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and this appears again. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, because it's a prosper now being blinking in that reality. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what's kind of cool about it. [SPEAKER_01]: But they now they can enter reality was before they were stuck out of it. [SPEAKER_01]: My favorite part of this story, though, is, because we've done the cast on them, we can do this now, after all this concludes, and it's the aftermath of Fenrus. [SPEAKER_01]: Fenrus has been just ravaged. [SPEAKER_01]: It's full of death, all these things. [SPEAKER_01]: The Ordo Malias shows up on Fenrus and realizes that all of these people have seen a demon prince as in Magnus, as he was walking around, and the Ordo Malias [SPEAKER_01]: calls in the external notice on fendress and kills the entire population. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the shit kind of goes down though. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll do that in the space we'll think because, John, I can't leave it. [SPEAKER_02]: Space was my boys. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to hit it for all you space of lovers later on. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, you can't, I don't care if he's going to try to edit this. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't say it again in person. [SPEAKER_02]: Spaces will do not take that lie down. [SPEAKER_01]: No, they do not. [SPEAKER_01]: It is not well received. [SPEAKER_01]: I just enjoy the fact that order of Malia showed up on a thinress and we're like a lot of people. [SPEAKER_01]: It's burned the whole thing down. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of rude housing goes on after that. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: The order smelly is spoiled. [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't win. [SPEAKER_02]: No, they did. [SPEAKER_01]: They at least call it. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yes, but also they got, they tapped the strike. [SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But I had to say in the fact that they'd try to burn, I could call a man or any other. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, every time you go after the home planet of a legion, why? [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: You every time it goes real bad. [SPEAKER_02]: Here you are. [SPEAKER_02]: Seven to nine foot tall, super soldier. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're just some guy. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let's see what happens. [SPEAKER_01]: I hear your words in Quisitor. [SPEAKER_01]: The face I'm making is me not giving a shit. [SPEAKER_02]: So it both moves. [SPEAKER_02]: Cotton, yeah, this works. [SPEAKER_01]: The last thing we're going to cover on our amount of kind of gets us into the modern, uh, Forty Kay, which is his latest obsession after his little party on Fenris. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a black line, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, black line. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_01]: What happens is, Araman has now, he got all the information from Cali Ope, but he finally realizes that the only way he's going to truly undermine Zeech is with knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: And the only place that he can get this level of knowledge is from the elder, because the elder were there before, or maybe at the time, we're in there some castle on Chaos Gods. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing of our free date, Zeech, [SPEAKER_02]: Technically, technically, you know what, scary. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And we can argue about this all day long because, but when the old ones were there, remember, the warp is a serene lake of endless power. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it isn't. [SPEAKER_02]: And the elder were good. [SPEAKER_02]: The other were created and also you're brewing the warp out there. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Property values are so down. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: But the other have to be honest and see, it's another one they didn't want to pop me. [SPEAKER_02]: The Eldar have effectively infinite knowledge that they don't use anymore because they're too worried about the Sunash thing. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll do that in the Eldar cast, but they have bonkersville forbid knowledge. [SPEAKER_02]: This is one of the things that Araman is actually doing right, but he's getting [SPEAKER_02]: I like Harry Monalot, but man, he's getting worked on. [SPEAKER_01]: The story's done co-well. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: If the elder have a repository of knowledge, it's called the Black Library. [SPEAKER_01]: If those of you don't realize why that you double books are called the Black Library, this is why. [SPEAKER_01]: As much as the annals of the Imperium have information, they date to write about the Great Crusade a little bit before. [SPEAKER_01]: The elder have written everything down that's ever worked out. [SPEAKER_02]: That's ever occurred for sixty five million years. [SPEAKER_01]: They have everything. [SPEAKER_02]: They have several books. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's a few books. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the, um, oh, man, what was it? [SPEAKER_01]: What was it? [SPEAKER_01]: The card catalog, the United States when we were kids? [SPEAKER_01]: What was that thing called? [SPEAKER_01]: Look a library in the flip through. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're, for finding the Dewey decimal? [SPEAKER_02]: Dewey decimal system. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought I had a stupid name. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Dewey decimal system. [SPEAKER_01]: There we go. [SPEAKER_01]: There's maybe eight people is in this cast. [SPEAKER_01]: No, that is. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sir. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on the sides that this is where he has to go. [SPEAKER_01]: He's going to go to the black library. [SPEAKER_01]: Now the black library is the home of the hard liquids and the hard liquids are [SPEAKER_02]: And the sentence of the laughing god, who is all about doing laughing god things, which is basically shenanigans. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're not going to get through. [SPEAKER_01]: I would actually make the argument that the Harley Quinn's are the most powerful branch of the Eldar. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: The feeding them is almost impossible. [SPEAKER_01]: They have superior weaponry, tactics, knowledge, they are... They have the force they know what's happening in the future. [SPEAKER_02]: And they also still have a god that exists. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The Harlequin Solitaire is one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Castro. [SPEAKER_02]: It's guys. [SPEAKER_02]: There's a book where he ruins like a bunch of them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: But, yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, they have absolute knowledge and ability to use the web way. [SPEAKER_02]: So they can close down parts of the web way. [SPEAKER_02]: They can appear anywhere. [SPEAKER_02]: And they want to. [SPEAKER_02]: Eremon has patagon levels of the web. [SPEAKER_02]: He knows it exists. [SPEAKER_02]: And to be as far as humans go, I think Eremon has probably been in and used the web way more than anybody. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Emperor. [SPEAKER_02]: He literally, he is used it more times than I think anybody else is human wise though. [SPEAKER_02]: He's been in it multiple times. [SPEAKER_02]: He's also sniffed the black library multiple times. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're gonna get done this second. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, effectively, but that recap, the arm on's plan is to break into the web way, somewhere that only Eldar can go. [SPEAKER_01]: fight his way to the most important part of the web way, depending on what they think. [SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, back it up just a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to go to somewhere that no one knows exists into an impenetrable labrived guarded by the most powerful versions. [SPEAKER_01]: And I see floral. [SPEAKER_01]: There's not a, it might seem like I'm plural, so there's two solos. [SPEAKER_01]: There's three solos. [SPEAKER_01]: There are thousands of solotaires than here. [SPEAKER_01]: And there are only purposes no one gets into the library. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, the GW made, I think, twenty years of writing out of this. [SPEAKER_01]: So let's have fun. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll just go with kind of the quickness here. [SPEAKER_01]: Armon obviously finds his way into. [SPEAKER_02]: Which is wildly impressive, by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he did it because [SPEAKER_01]: All right, we both like our amount a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Our money didn't fall the draft a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, okay, because it is, it is initial finding of the web way, Zinch setting him up, probably, because he kind of again leads him with the carrot. [SPEAKER_02]: Here's infinite knowledge. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, I know that it's probably never going to be following because you have to go through these guys. [SPEAKER_02]: that are never gonna let you in, right? [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just gonna keep leading you on with this. [SPEAKER_02]: And this will probably keep you on your lifelong goal that you'll never reach and you won't find any other way to stop me. [SPEAKER_02]: So whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: The elder at some point in the lore, we're not doing a cast on Sizzavak. [SPEAKER_01]: It was an inquisitor. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a human inquisitor. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Sizzavak. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Sizzavak. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, his story's dumb. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why we're just like a bother with him. [SPEAKER_02]: But effectively, somebody's gonna be like, that's my favorite story. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's just bad though. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry it is. [SPEAKER_01]: But he does, he befriends the elder. [SPEAKER_01]: And the elder actually gives him access to the web way. [SPEAKER_01]: The real reason they do this is because they know Aramans trying it in the web way. [SPEAKER_01]: And this was a trap. [SPEAKER_01]: The Eldar, this inquisitor now says evoc notes how to get in. [SPEAKER_01]: The Eldar are well aware that by doing this, Aramans in a capture him and torture him and learn to weigh in. [SPEAKER_02]: And we're setting it up because they want him to get here. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't want Aramans in the web way. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: However, they know that eventually he's going to stutter in a huge stubborn human [SPEAKER_02]: bully his way into the web way at some point in time. [SPEAKER_02]: And they know that if I let him into the web way right here, I know where he is. [SPEAKER_02]: I can set up traps. [SPEAKER_02]: I can set up defenses. [SPEAKER_02]: I can lead him away from where I actually want him. [SPEAKER_02]: If he bullies his way into the web way at a different place, it's going to be much more difficult. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's how they all are still are. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's not a lot of them. [SPEAKER_01]: And there are, they like to have control over this situation. [SPEAKER_01]: And we said there's not a lot of them. [SPEAKER_01]: There's like so many of them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but they'd used to be more. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they used to own the galaxy. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go ahead and complain now because the way Raman gets into the web way is he he he also senses a trap here and he uses a forgotten portal because elder the smartest race in the galaxy with a library with all the knowledge of the galaxy. [SPEAKER_01]: forgot about one of their doors. [SPEAKER_01]: They have an entire group of things called farceers. [SPEAKER_01]: who are supposed to see into the future. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I'll drive. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, all right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: L-Dread. [SPEAKER_01]: Dread, show it up. [SPEAKER_01]: Brad's favorite. [SPEAKER_01]: I do love L-Dread so much. [SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely wild. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much. [SPEAKER_01]: L-Dread, show it up and just beats the pants off of our Aman and kicks back wildly. [SPEAKER_01]: So there's kicks in right out of the web. [SPEAKER_02]: Like laughably doesn't couple like WWE finishing moves. [SPEAKER_02]: And then just as L-Dread do, dooses out and goes, airmon kind of goes, hey man, what the shit just happened? [SPEAKER_02]: Also, weren't we fighting like two seconds ago? [SPEAKER_01]: Eventually, because this is all occurring during a bad news, Thirteen Black Crusade, he goes again, and again, and again, and he constantly, this is also time travel stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So, are you sure? [SPEAKER_02]: This is after and before the Thirteen Crusade. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel like diving into each and every single one of these because read the books, but he breaks in with a captured sister who's actually a demon because she's actually a saint. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm going to encompass these with. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Because this is all Warner Bros. [SPEAKER_02]: stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: Araman is widely coyote, super ingenious. [SPEAKER_02]: And the Harley Quinn's and everybody inside the web way consistently, let's introduce him and out, smart him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Just he keeps doing his acne catapults and slingshots and everything else. [SPEAKER_02]: And he almost gets there. [SPEAKER_02]: And he constantly doesn't. [SPEAKER_02]: And I know we're doing a cast on this. [SPEAKER_02]: And the stories are actually pretty cool. [SPEAKER_02]: But the problem is is that they always go to failure. [SPEAKER_02]: because Aramon is playing a game that he thinks is a fair game. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm going to take a look at the tangent here, just real quick tangent. [SPEAKER_01]: This is why a baton breaking the sky was such a cool moment because it was the first time in all of GW's writing were the bad guy one. [SPEAKER_01]: They struggled with it. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, well, well, well. [SPEAKER_02]: I have to go to the fantasy for this. [SPEAKER_02]: Archeon, Archeon I won. [SPEAKER_01]: He broke the game. [SPEAKER_01]: He did, but this happened before that. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's true. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you Archeon broke it? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Archeon ended. [SPEAKER_01]: That was, that was, that was, that was borderline mean. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I mean, millions of players globally got to note, hey, your games over. [SPEAKER_02]: What happened? [SPEAKER_02]: The bad guys won. [SPEAKER_02]: This is what happens. [SPEAKER_01]: The bad guy wins. [SPEAKER_01]: The world resets and you get double turns. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, back to the cast at hand. [SPEAKER_01]: This all is back and forth constantly. [SPEAKER_01]: The army keep out. [SPEAKER_01]: We then get to the end of the seventh edition going into eighth edition. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And then you know, this story, I actually, I like a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: I should have sent it. [SPEAKER_02]: We're here. [SPEAKER_02]: Going to get me to hold. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to get my treat. [SPEAKER_02]: If you've seen me right now, I'm woo sign. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting my treat together because this. [SPEAKER_02]: Screw it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to rant. [SPEAKER_02]: Don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: This was a fantastic storyline. [SPEAKER_02]: This is the return of Bobby G. Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: This is your reign. [SPEAKER_02]: This is the rise of the Inara. [SPEAKER_02]: You need the God of death. [SPEAKER_02]: So many storylines are going on during this time with the Thirteen Crusade and the Rift being created. [SPEAKER_02]: All of these things. [SPEAKER_02]: This is in dominance time. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Two. [SPEAKER_02]: And then they just went [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm the storyline and didn't finish it, man. [SPEAKER_01]: Which of us is ranked to the top ten in ITC every year? [SPEAKER_01]: Screw you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It's your guys fault. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we got killed by competitive players because it was one of the best storylines in the game. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, good. [SPEAKER_01]: And they guys, they might drop it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Because flying circus. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that, it's flying surface and so pushed. [SPEAKER_01]: It's so burst was horrifying. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh look, dark creepers. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, the tangent here's something we're talking about, just be glad you didn't play then. [SPEAKER_01]: Seth, this one was a trash flag. [SPEAKER_01]: It's also eight edition. [SPEAKER_01]: After the fall of Cadia, Armun goes back into the webway. [SPEAKER_01]: And this time, we'll go through the webway. [SPEAKER_01]: He actually encounters your brain, her genari, and her triumvirate. [SPEAKER_01]: And his plan was to kind of grab them, capture them, and use them as the way into the black library. [SPEAKER_01]: So he builds this kind of like, it's cool. [SPEAKER_01]: He makes a void pocket within the webway, and pulls them all into this void pocket. [SPEAKER_01]: And his plan is to [SPEAKER_01]: effectively, psychically dominate them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and just destroy them. [SPEAKER_01]: Your brain as soon as they're pulled in that, just lashes out. [SPEAKER_01]: But this is when your brain's kind of earlier in her powers. [SPEAKER_01]: When she lashes out, one thing that that happens is, it to be fair. [SPEAKER_02]: This is early on when your brain doesn't know that she's still the chosen of the, you know, the guy to death. [SPEAKER_02]: And she does crazy shit with her rightful powers. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, raising a primary for the dead being one, um, in order to get them into this pocket. [SPEAKER_01]: Raman used a spell that actually sacrificed a number of thousands of sons sold for every call. [SPEAKER_01]: These are the rubrics just they're sitting there and they're destroyed for this. [SPEAKER_01]: They're just lying there on the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: You're brain when she feels, you know, trapped and kind of lashes out. [SPEAKER_01]: Those rubrics rise in the dead, not the automaton, but actually the [SPEAKER_02]: what she literally tries to make and number five, she tries to make, she, she effectively counter spells. [SPEAKER_02]: They did a D&D. [SPEAKER_01]: She counter spells and accidentally raises them from the dead. [SPEAKER_02]: Resurrection, full body. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The first time in nine thousand years, eight thousand years, Aramon is looking at one of his brothers. [SPEAKER_01]: They're looking straight in the eye and Aramon. [SPEAKER_02]: So, but something he would not do before the last [SPEAKER_01]: nine thousand years. [SPEAKER_01]: Immediately when this happens, Aramon sees this power of your brain and just says, well, not killing her and teleports everyone back into the web way because he was about to use about the end of your brain by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Aramon does a full bread and goes, Oh, look, squirrel. [SPEAKER_02]: And just remember the thing I hundred percent was about to achieve. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to find out this instead. [SPEAKER_01]: This is tiny. [SPEAKER_01]: This is way cooler. [SPEAKER_01]: They come back into the web way. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, I can't even laugh at this. [SPEAKER_02]: Araman gets the shiny wants to do it. [SPEAKER_02]: It goes, look, I know I was just about to so I could kill you. [SPEAKER_02]: But could we be friends? [SPEAKER_02]: So my bad, but also, would you tell me how you did that? [SPEAKER_01]: Weirdly enough, a hard no happens. [SPEAKER_01]: Hard no happens. [SPEAKER_01]: Giant battle, and of course, the guys that she just resurrected get killed. [SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of the truth. [SPEAKER_02]: Like instantly, also, everybody that's Eldar smoke bombs and leaves. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't want to have to dive too far into Eldar because we're losing, I don't know, eleven hours if we try it right now, but effectively, [SPEAKER_01]: Armon realizes this stage. [SPEAKER_01]: This is his new focus. [SPEAKER_01]: I have to go fire through a track down your brain and you know, he also crazy comes up with a plan. [SPEAKER_02]: that involves going to places that he should not even pretend to go to. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what's good. [SPEAKER_01]: So as we come into Tent Edition, because we have at this stage in Tentage and when we're recording this, we have no Elder Codex, no Dark Elder Codex, no Unary Codex, which do not making them sing it out there. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying? [SPEAKER_02]: You can record this out if you want. [SPEAKER_02]: Hermann decides the big dick Jones it and goes, I'm going to the Dark City. [SPEAKER_01]: Gamora is a comma, sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on the sides. [SPEAKER_01]: He's going to comma. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's a real thing. [SPEAKER_02]: He said out loud. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: And the farm on meets VAC. [SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be a party. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is, is our mind at this point in time. [SPEAKER_02]: To be fair again. [SPEAKER_02]: Holy crap. [SPEAKER_02]: Armants powers have grown so exponentially. [SPEAKER_02]: And in these last couple stories with him and your brain and stuff like that, his mastery of the warp is next level. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not Magnus, but for a non-demon primer. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the thing. [SPEAKER_02]: He knowledge wise, I actually think that he might be better. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, otherwise he's poor. [SPEAKER_01]: He's pushing. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I would actually push him into elder level power is now. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not for sure. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll try it. [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, but he's elder level power. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's I think knowledge wise, he's one of the if not he knows so much now. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's [SPEAKER_01]: He's above the Aberdon. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, are they? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm doing, yes, can't say we're doing airports. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing human in quotes for a human. [SPEAKER_01]: He may be the most knowledgeable human. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, for a human, I think. [SPEAKER_02]: We still have. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, the upper and the upper is not human. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's also a true story. [SPEAKER_01]: He might actually be dead. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, anybody that's not a perpetual, I guess. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's something. [SPEAKER_01]: And like, it's him and maybe one custod and a great night. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll say, but he, he just has, he's looked up for, he's in ten thousand years of knowledge seeking. [SPEAKER_02]: And he's failed. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is another reason, this is what we're wrapping up with. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: The reason why I love Araman and we've made fun of it, but it's the very things that we've making fun of are why he's one of my favorite characters in Forty Kay because he fails time and time again, but he's self aware that he's failing. [SPEAKER_02]: He knows he's playing [SPEAKER_02]: in a rig game at the casino, and he's desperately trying to even the odds. [SPEAKER_01]: And he doesn't, and he tries to not lose again. [SPEAKER_01]: That's right. [SPEAKER_01]: Every time he loses, he takes the time. [SPEAKER_01]: Why did I lose? [SPEAKER_01]: Figures out what we was. [SPEAKER_01]: It's ninety percent of time, Zinch. [SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is he keeps getting lead into traps. [SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of the times he knows he's being lead in the traps, but he's just trying to learn. [SPEAKER_02]: from that trap, how to not be trapped again. [SPEAKER_01]: And I love that about his character. [SPEAKER_01]: The challenge that thousands of times have is Magnus is, if you like power, he's got power. [SPEAKER_01]: But he's kind of whiny. [SPEAKER_01]: Magnus. [SPEAKER_01]: He's mentally, he's me, most of these things. [SPEAKER_01]: So he loses mentally a lot of the taps to strikes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The thousands of sons needed a powerful, like, you know, leader who just believed in something. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what our mind is. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he has, but he's also, well, he was loved by the masses until it loops the rubric, but he's trying, he tries to do the right thing, even when he's doing the wrong thing, he's doing [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's the wrong thing a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: What do you think that is he's trying to get the right thing? [SPEAKER_02]: His goal is the right thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Everything he does is bad. [SPEAKER_01]: What's actually kind of cool. [SPEAKER_01]: One thing I will say, I really do like about a thousand sons is Magnus and Arm on our both united, even though there's separate in their attempts in overturning Zeech. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't mean taking his place. [SPEAKER_01]: Both of them are obsessed. [SPEAKER_01]: with undermining and they don't want to be under his thought. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the meat arm on monster wants to replace him. [SPEAKER_01]: And there is a there is a side story here that there is a belief within the elder that if arm on ever breached the black library, he actually would gain the knowledge to take the place of the inch. [SPEAKER_01]: which is a really cool side story that I probably should have mentioned earlier in this case. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, an epic prophecy of war changing dimension. [SPEAKER_01]: It is, sorry, these things just come to my memory. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what, John? [SPEAKER_02]: Fuck it. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's just do that. [SPEAKER_01]: I did that one in later. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: When that dies in this case, yeah, with that we will conclude next week, we decided that we're going to go back to Zenos and if we're going to go back to Zenos, let's start with the oldest of the Zenos. [SPEAKER_01]: Necrons. [SPEAKER_01]: I think you meant to say, Necron tears. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, we covered them a little bit before. [SPEAKER_02]: Or this might have just done the Warren heavens at. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's been a lot of time painting these things beautifully. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, if you guys want to see some cool pictures, track down Brad's team at a depth of con. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, actually, no, Alan's team at a depth of on it. [SPEAKER_02]: I did paint stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: did. [SPEAKER_01]: They used them. [SPEAKER_01]: They used that. [SPEAKER_01]: That was my question. [SPEAKER_01]: You painted it. [SPEAKER_01]: I also did a lot of painting on the display board because it was a lot of spray paint. [SPEAKER_01]: It's for you. [SPEAKER_01]: Brother Pete black and the black thing got it. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, thanks listening. [SPEAKER_01]: Please join our discord. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great place to interact with us. [SPEAKER_01]: You can see we're all mean we're very active in there. [SPEAKER_02]: So many great discussions. [SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm [SPEAKER_02]: Selflessly, shamelessly self promoting myself, but man, the discord is super active and there's a lot of great discussions going on. [SPEAKER_02]: Every day, really. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we actually, some of our future casts have been added on now. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do one on Power Armor. [SPEAKER_01]: People are coming. [SPEAKER_01]: They're recommending casts. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do individual cast on chaos gods. [SPEAKER_01]: If you like what we're doing and you want to steer us in a direction that you want us to go and do, join our discord. [SPEAKER_01]: It's obviously free. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's not free. [SPEAKER_02]: And what helps a lot, though? [SPEAKER_01]: Go to our Patreon. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we can get better microphones in the ones I bought an Amazon on a whim. [SPEAKER_02]: True story. [SPEAKER_02]: This started on [SPEAKER_02]: I talk about Laura a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: And Johnson, maybe you should shut up and we should just do a cast on this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, as I just dragged my house up, I'll put microphones on. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll get the talk every once in a while too. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But with that, this is John Barsati and Brad Jester. [SPEAKER_01]: This guy. [SPEAKER_01]: So you guys next week. [UNKNOWN]: you
