<v Speaker 2>Welcome everybody to the ww podcast Sunday. It is September seventh.
<v Speaker 2>It is twenty twenty five. Boy, do we have a
<v Speaker 2>lot to talk about tonight. As you can imagine, you know,
<v Speaker 2>that was one of the most star studded smackdowns that
<v Speaker 2>I can remember in recent memory. Between John Cena being there,
<v Speaker 2>brock lesnar interfering, a j Lee returning, see him punk
<v Speaker 2>making and appear, Seth Rollins making an appearance, this was,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I really don't know offhand another SmackDown that
<v Speaker 2>was this star studded from top to bottom. It felt
<v Speaker 2>like an old school SmackDown and another just piece of
<v Speaker 2>evidence that star power will always trump even just pure
<v Speaker 2>great wrestling. I think star power will forever be a
<v Speaker 2>ratings drawn no matter what, and we saw that this
<v Speaker 2>past Friday. Now, there also was an awesome match between
<v Speaker 2>John Cena and Sammy's Ain that I don't think any
<v Speaker 2>of us saw coming, a match that was probably one
<v Speaker 2>of the best that John Seen has had thus far
<v Speaker 2>in his run for his retirement tour. That took place
<v Speaker 2>for the US title, although of course nobody expected John
<v Speaker 2>Seen to win. It still a fun match. Sammy's ain
<v Speaker 2>gets booed for the first time in a long time.
<v Speaker 2>Talk about that a little bit later too, But this
<v Speaker 2>was a really fun SmackDown. If you didn't hear the breakdown,
<v Speaker 2>check out the breakdown that Amanda did from the UK.
<v Speaker 2>She did a great job breaking it down from Friday
<v Speaker 2>night and I posted it late Saturday afternoon if you
<v Speaker 2>didn't get a chance to check it out, because I
<v Speaker 2>think you'll enjoy it. And that said too, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>we have Wreussell Palooza just a couple of weeks away,
<v Speaker 2>and we have a semi filled in card but not complete.
<v Speaker 2>It is now official with Brock Lesner and John Cena.
<v Speaker 2>There is at least that it's all but confirmed with
<v Speaker 2>aj Lee and Sampung Versus Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch's
<v Speaker 2>There's just no way that doesn't happen. And if you
<v Speaker 2>are still looking to have Wressell Palooza be available on Netflix,
<v Speaker 2>well just look no further than Stephanie McMahon's advice that
<v Speaker 2>she's getting in trouble for of getting a VPN and
<v Speaker 2>then just using Netflix, So that is certainly possible because
<v Speaker 2>TKO is not happy, not happy with Stephanie McMahon and
<v Speaker 2>her advice to people about just getting a VPN, which honestly,
<v Speaker 2>getting a VPN, I mean, it's super easy to do
<v Speaker 2>and it will save you a lot of time, especially
<v Speaker 2>if you want to just use your old platforms to
<v Speaker 2>get your wrestling content like the w Network. You can
<v Speaker 2>do that scramble your user VPN. Getting a VPN isn't illegal.
<v Speaker 2>It's not illegal, so I mean the only question is
<v Speaker 2>is it ethical to do? Yeah, it's ethics and morality
<v Speaker 2>that really is the question here about whether or not
<v Speaker 2>getting a VPN is something you should do. But it's
<v Speaker 2>not illegal and it can't provide a lot of benefits
<v Speaker 2>to you, so take that for what you will. It's
<v Speaker 2>also the start of NFL season big time this weekend
<v Speaker 2>those of you that are interested in such things, because
<v Speaker 2>the NFL season started on Thursday this past week, but
<v Speaker 2>boy it got just it went into full swing this
<v Speaker 2>past Sunday and the games are still going on as
<v Speaker 2>I speak. I know that this is not an NFL show,
<v Speaker 2>But I wanted to just acknowledge it nonetheless because a
<v Speaker 2>lot of wrestling fans or NFL fans and vice versa.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, may mean I'm a Giants fan and we
<v Speaker 2>did not start well, but I did not expect to
<v Speaker 2>given the commanders and the fact that the Giants just
<v Speaker 2>don't have an offensive line at all. And you're already
<v Speaker 2>hearing you're already hearing people ask for Jackson Dart. You
<v Speaker 2>knew that was gonna happen the moment they had a
<v Speaker 2>bad game. Year here, where's Jackson Dart? When are we
<v Speaker 2>gonna have Jackson Dart? Well, here's the thing. You can't
<v Speaker 2>bring in a rookie if there's no offensive line, just
<v Speaker 2>to have them get killed. Okay, So Jackson Dart, he's
<v Speaker 2>you're risking injury. He's I don't think he's quite ready.
<v Speaker 2>You want him to sit and learn under the tree
<v Speaker 2>of you know, knowledge as long as possible before you
<v Speaker 2>put him on there live with especially with no offensive line,
<v Speaker 2>no protection. He could get injured. It's not a good call.
<v Speaker 2>But there's my just only NFL analysis, just so you
<v Speaker 2>guys don't say, what are you talking about? NFL. This
<v Speaker 2>is wrestling, so but I still have to acknowledge it. Now,
<v Speaker 2>let's get to SmackDown that will we'll cover first and
<v Speaker 2>if you want to listen to all this, by the way,

<v Speaker 2>let's talk SmackDown and SmackDown opened in a big way
<v Speaker 2>with John Cena to a massive elevation, huge ovation, and
<v Speaker 2>it was one that was probably the biggest ovation that
<v Speaker 2>I've heard for John Cena in that building. We're in
<v Speaker 2>Chicago at all. I mean, I don't know the last
<v Speaker 2>time he got this big of an ovation, if ever.
<v Speaker 2>But we had Kim come out. As I said, he
<v Speaker 2>was just soaking it in. He said he was coming
<v Speaker 2>off a lot of bad years and needed to get
<v Speaker 2>his mojo back, so he focused on leaving everything he
<v Speaker 2>had the ring to prove himself he could still do it.
<v Speaker 2>He then said tonight he had no plan. He just
<v Speaker 2>wanted to take it in and have fun. He said,
<v Speaker 2>what makes tonight's special is looking out in the crowd
<v Speaker 2>and seeing people excited when years ago he might have
<v Speaker 2>had something a little different, and he thanked the crowd
<v Speaker 2>for using their voice and said it had a lot
<v Speaker 2>to do with people continuing to come back to WWE,
<v Speaker 2>and he told the crowd they were in for an
<v Speaker 2>exciting night. They reminded them that this was the last
<v Speaker 2>time he would appear in Chicago and his last appearance
<v Speaker 2>on SmackDown. He then recalled twenty years ago he walked
<v Speaker 2>out to the ring and on SmackDown, smack Curt angle
<v Speaker 2>in the face and started this crazy ride. He then
<v Speaker 2>recalled his favorite memories from Chicago, which were see him
<v Speaker 2>punk winning the title from him, which, of course he
<v Speaker 2>was referring to money in the bank twenty eleven and
<v Speaker 2>putting it in his refrigerator and facing triple h a WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>He again thanked the crowd for keeping him honest and
<v Speaker 2>helping him experience failure and humility. Again, I'm kind of
<v Speaker 2>getting tired of I'll go over that in a minute,
<v Speaker 2>but the crowd ran off another thank you, Sina, and
<v Speaker 2>then he said he also helped him experience joy and Okay,
<v Speaker 2>so I hate to be kind of dismissive of this
<v Speaker 2>John Cena promo. But I feel like I've heard this
<v Speaker 2>promo before a lot. That's what happens when you do
<v Speaker 2>a year long goodbye tour. And I know he had
<v Speaker 2>the five months of being healed, which actually was again
<v Speaker 2>a nice kind of reprieve from otherwise what would have
<v Speaker 2>been just kind of oh thank you, and the people
<v Speaker 2>chant thank you seeing it, and he's like, oh thank you, no,
<v Speaker 2>thank you, no, no thank you. Essentially that's the promo
<v Speaker 2>that we would have gotten otherwise, you know, And I've
<v Speaker 2>already worn thin of it. I understand every city is different,
<v Speaker 2>but from a television a television perspective, it's just it's
<v Speaker 2>so repetitive. It's it's just it's constantly the same thing,
<v Speaker 2>because what else can you say, you know, this is
<v Speaker 2>the drawback of a year long goodbye tour. Regardless of
<v Speaker 2>the fact that he's one of the biggest stars the
<v Speaker 2>company's ever produced, It's going to be the same promo
<v Speaker 2>unless you just ignore that part and do your thing
<v Speaker 2>and wrestle. You could still do that. That's option B.
<v Speaker 2>But they've opted for option A every time, and that
<v Speaker 2>is to just, you know, essentially say goodbye to every
<v Speaker 2>city he's in. So there is that. But the crowd again,
<v Speaker 2>thank you seeing a chance, and he thanked him again,
<v Speaker 2>wished them a good night, and then that's when Sammy's
<v Speaker 2>a music hit. He got some booze. Sammy got some
<v Speaker 2>booze and Sina said it was happy hour in Chicago
<v Speaker 2>and he was there for the booze that was. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know where he got that line, but he didn't
<v Speaker 2>come up with that. So Sammy thanks Sena on behalf
<v Speaker 2>of the locker room, and he said that he recalled
<v Speaker 2>making his debut against John Cena for the title and
<v Speaker 2>what the US title, the United States Championship Open Challenge
<v Speaker 2>did for him and others to get an opportunity. And
<v Speaker 2>Sammy then told Sina that with his permission, he'd like
<v Speaker 2>to recreate his own US Title Open Challenge for the
<v Speaker 2>same reason. And the thought that was a great idea.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know why we thought that. Why does Sammy's
<v Speaker 2>a need permission from John Cena to do anything kind
<v Speaker 2>of weird? I'm not gonna rant about it, but it
<v Speaker 2>very much feeds into Sammy still being the underdog from
<v Speaker 2>the underground, still feeling like a rookie, and there is
<v Speaker 2>still some of that on Sammy. I don't know why
<v Speaker 2>he can't shake it. Sammy's ain still kind of feels
<v Speaker 2>like he's even though he's been here a long time,
<v Speaker 2>he's proven us lf in the ring, he's always just,
<v Speaker 2>I think, forever stuck in this rut of people cheer
<v Speaker 2>for him, they believe in him. He's a champion, but
<v Speaker 2>will he have him reach the top championship. We don't know,
<v Speaker 2>because he's constantly feeling like the underdog. And a lot
<v Speaker 2>of it I think is because of his physique, his presence.
<v Speaker 2>That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's almost like
<v Speaker 2>this part of himself he can't shake. And this doesn't
<v Speaker 2>help with him asking permission from the Almighty John Cena.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, you kidding me. I mean, I don't I
<v Speaker 2>understand what he's doing. He's trying not to create any
<v Speaker 2>tension between them because their babyfaces, and he's already gotten
<v Speaker 2>some booze from the crowds, so he's trying to play
<v Speaker 2>nice with Sena as best he can and act as
<v Speaker 2>respectful as he can. But I mean, the booze continued.
<v Speaker 2>It was about fifty to fifty at one point, but
<v Speaker 2>Sammy eventually got the match with John Cida. He offered
<v Speaker 2>the match and that's it. So they said, let's do
<v Speaker 2>it right here, right now, and we got Sammy'sane versus
<v Speaker 2>John Standa for the United States Championship, a match that
<v Speaker 2>went twenty one minutes. It was great. It was just
<v Speaker 2>so good. I know that we have Brock Lessner in
<v Speaker 2>the end here ruin it. That's the point. You really
<v Speaker 2>don't want either of these men losing. It made sense here.
<v Speaker 2>I know people are annoyed by this, but it made
<v Speaker 2>sense for neither man to lose because John Sena is
<v Speaker 2>going on to face Brock Lesner and Sammy Zane can't
<v Speaker 2>lose the US Championship to a guy that has four
<v Speaker 2>dates left on his calendar. I mean, it just would
<v Speaker 2>be an in complicated mess for no reason. This had
<v Speaker 2>to end in a disqualification or an interference and no contest,
<v Speaker 2>and that's exactly what happened. So people are up at
<v Speaker 2>arms about this, but it's only because people don't like Brock.
<v Speaker 2>It's not because of the fact that this doesn't make
<v Speaker 2>logical sense for it to end like this. But a
<v Speaker 2>great match, I mean, just so good up until then
<v Speaker 2>I love the fact that John Sena was paying homage
<v Speaker 2>to his opponents throughout the years. He didn't quite get
<v Speaker 2>that RKO although he tried. But one thing people are
<v Speaker 2>missing and even the announcers missed this. When John Cena
<v Speaker 2>went for the spear, he got it, but he was
<v Speaker 2>not mimicking Roman reigns. I know that John Cena was.
<v Speaker 2>Michael Cole said on commentary that John Cena was, you know,
<v Speaker 2>paying homage to the big you know, as many battles
<v Speaker 2>with the Big Dog, referring to Roman rains as previous gimmick. No,
<v Speaker 2>if you look at the way John Cena was setting
<v Speaker 2>up for the spear, he was very much being Edge,
<v Speaker 2>very much. They didn't say his name on air. To
<v Speaker 2>my knowledge, he was mimicking Edge. The way that Edge
<v Speaker 2>was would pull back his hair, you know, multiple times
<v Speaker 2>as he's setting up for the spear. That's Edge. That's
<v Speaker 2>not Roman reigns. So maybe that's the only the only edge,
<v Speaker 2>any kind of edge mentioned or edge, you know, flav
<v Speaker 2>we get in the John Sena retirement tour. But maybe
<v Speaker 2>it's also in my mind, in my fantasy land, an
<v Speaker 2>easter egg that we could be seeing somehow by a
<v Speaker 2>miracle edge versus John Cena at Saturday Night's main event
<v Speaker 2>in December. Highly doubt it, but that's at least something
<v Speaker 2>I can pretend to hold on to. That said, I
<v Speaker 2>mean beyond that, yes, brock Lezer comes out. Crowd just
<v Speaker 2>went crazy when he first came out. It took him
<v Speaker 2>about thirty seconds to recalibrate and realize that he's about
<v Speaker 2>to ruin the match. And then they're like, oh, right, right, right,
<v Speaker 2>right right, we know this is no you're going to
<v Speaker 2>come out and ruin this match. By the way, we
<v Speaker 2>don't like you. And then I'm sure some of the
<v Speaker 2>people boot him simply because of the allegations going on.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure there were some people out there with that
<v Speaker 2>and all the rest, but played his role well. And
<v Speaker 2>there is video if you didn't search it out, I
<v Speaker 2>would search it out on YouTube or TikTok, wherever you go.
<v Speaker 2>That it looked like Brock might have injured his leg
<v Speaker 2>his quad specifically, and it was when he was getting
<v Speaker 2>in the ring. He twisted his knee or his squad
<v Speaker 2>when he hit it on the ring apron, and he
<v Speaker 2>looked like he might have jerked it a bit. And
<v Speaker 2>so it's something to keep in mind. Brock walked out
<v Speaker 2>with a little bit of a limp and that was
<v Speaker 2>caught on video two. So do I think Brock's going
<v Speaker 2>to miss the match? No, but he did have an
<v Speaker 2>awkward moment with his I think it was his right leg,
<v Speaker 2>So something going to be mindful of. So yeah, he
<v Speaker 2>had five's John Cena this crowd. He smiled at the
<v Speaker 2>crowd and hit a second F five, exited the ring
<v Speaker 2>and yeah, now we get it official, and John Cena
<v Speaker 2>backstage or brock Lessner backstage said to the camera, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I'll see you at Russell Palooza and said, you know
<v Speaker 2>said that, yeah, B word. I can't say it on
<v Speaker 2>the on the show because it's PG, but that to
<v Speaker 2>me is Brockleasner to a t, which I actually again
<v Speaker 2>don't like, only because not not that I don't like
<v Speaker 2>the star power of brock Lesner. I don't appreciate who
<v Speaker 2>and what he is and what he's done for the
<v Speaker 2>business and what he's done for really just his brand
<v Speaker 2>if you care about that, that kind of thing.
<v Speaker 3>He is.
<v Speaker 2>Never going to explain and why he attacks people. And
<v Speaker 2>the writers much love Brocklesner coming in. They must love
<v Speaker 2>it because they don't have to do anything. They just
<v Speaker 2>have Oh, Brock's coming back. Huh though, what's the story? Well,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know all that's right, we don't need one
<v Speaker 2>just having command and beat people up. Yeah, the creative
<v Speaker 2>has absolutely nothing to do with any of the brock
<v Speaker 2>Lisener returns. Well, at least from a promo standpoint, there's nothing.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I'm getting a little sick of that. I
<v Speaker 2>was hoping we'd get something ensure. There is a couple
<v Speaker 2>weeks left. But do you think brock Lesner is gonna
<v Speaker 2>come out and cut a promo? I don't. Maybe John
<v Speaker 2>can cover that part of it. And I know some
<v Speaker 2>of you out there just don't care. This is very
<v Speaker 2>much on brand for John or for brock Lesner as
<v Speaker 2>of late. And when I say as of late, I
<v Speaker 2>mean the last at least the last program he's had
<v Speaker 2>with Cody Rhodes when he hadntacked Cody Rhodes with still
<v Speaker 2>no explanation. That's that's sorry, that's just inexcusable lazy storytelling
<v Speaker 2>when you won't tell your audience at least give them
<v Speaker 2>anything as to why one of your major stars, one
<v Speaker 2>of your biggest stars of all time is doing something
<v Speaker 2>to one of your biggest current stars of all time?
<v Speaker 2>Why were not owed even the basic storytelling? You guys
<v Speaker 2>constantly are telling us you're telling stories. We're told all
<v Speaker 2>the time that what you do is tell stories. Well,
<v Speaker 2>if you're so good at telling stories and you have
<v Speaker 2>such a passion for it, perhaps you should go back
<v Speaker 2>to the basics. Because we aren't even getting the basics
<v Speaker 2>with brock Luser. And that is my one massive gripe
<v Speaker 2>and has been with him pretty consistently despite I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going against Brock in any other way, and
<v Speaker 2>it's really not even his fault. It's the creative that
<v Speaker 2>can't just say, hey, maybe we should give them a reason.
<v Speaker 2>And why am I saying we should do this? Because yes,
<v Speaker 2>we're owed it from a storytelling perspective. As fans, we're
<v Speaker 2>the WW we should have enough respect for our intelligence
<v Speaker 2>to be like, hey, we never really filled in this blank.
<v Speaker 2>We probably should. It's a massively glaring hole. But I'm
<v Speaker 2>the only one barking up this tree. A lot of
<v Speaker 2>people don't care. I do. I do because I like
<v Speaker 2>to know why things happen, especially really really really big
<v Speaker 2>things with really really really big stars, not these minute
<v Speaker 2>little you know details into the weeds. This is not
<v Speaker 2>an into the weeds request. This is a fairly reasonable
<v Speaker 2>request to understand why, get an explanation why Brock does
<v Speaker 2>the things he does. I don't need to have him
<v Speaker 2>to go in cut a twenty minute promo. He's not
<v Speaker 2>even capable of doing that. I'm asking for something beyond
<v Speaker 2>what was Brock. Brock does what he wants to do. No,
<v Speaker 2>that's called that's just a cop out for lazy booking.
<v Speaker 2>That's a that's a euphemism for we don't know. You
<v Speaker 2>figure it out, That's what that means. So I'll continue
<v Speaker 2>to hammer this. I'm not gonna let it go because
<v Speaker 2>it's inexcusable. Again for a company that tells stories for
<v Speaker 2>us not to get you know, chapters one through five
<v Speaker 2>out of a ten chapter book is just it's just
<v Speaker 2>a stupid Okay. So then we have a video promo
<v Speaker 2>of Alistair Black Air, and he addressed Damian Priest, told
<v Speaker 2>them he'd be standing across the ring from decades of
<v Speaker 2>hate that had been carved into him. He mocked Priest
<v Speaker 2>and yeah, so then we had the match, and decent match.
<v Speaker 2>I have to say the match went about ten minutes
<v Speaker 2>with Alistair Black beating Gamian Priest because the finish was
<v Speaker 2>Priest delivering the flat liner on the apron. He cleared
<v Speaker 2>off the announced table and dropped Black on the announced
<v Speaker 2>table with the razor's edge, but it didn't break. Priest
<v Speaker 2>then went for a South of Heaven choke slam in
<v Speaker 2>the ring, but Black grabbed the referee to prevent from
<v Speaker 2>being taken up into the air, and that that allowed
<v Speaker 2>Alistair Black to hit the Black Mass Kick for the victory.
<v Speaker 2>So fine, I mean, the match was fine. It was
<v Speaker 2>good for what it was for as long as it was,
<v Speaker 2>but you know, I think they could have done better
<v Speaker 2>had they been given more time. And the Black Mass
<v Speaker 2>kick is still to me, the last finish I'd want
<v Speaker 2>to take on the roster. It's just brutal. No room
<v Speaker 2>for air zero, all right. We then had a sponsored
<v Speaker 2>video package that aired and focused on Randy Orton and
<v Speaker 2>Drew McIntyre's feud, and a match between McIntyre and Orton
<v Speaker 2>was then advertised for next week SmackDown, along with another
<v Speaker 2>Brock appearance, Tiffany versus Jade, which is again Big SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>coming next week. Backstage, Kathy Kelly interviewed Tiffany Stratton and
<v Speaker 2>they addressed Jade Cargill, who had said Tiffany shouldn't have
<v Speaker 2>won a summerslammer her foot wasn't on the rope, and
<v Speaker 2>Tiffany said she didn't need any help to defeat Jade
<v Speaker 2>and she'll do it again next week and elsewhere, Jade
<v Speaker 2>was confronted by Nya. She told Naya that Shiky did
<v Speaker 2>in line for a title shot after she beats Tippany
<v Speaker 2>next week, or they could go sort it out in
<v Speaker 2>the ring right now, and Naya chose to walk away,
<v Speaker 2>and then we get Metchin versus Julia for the Women's
<v Speaker 2>United States Championship. What I'll say again, and I'll continue
<v Speaker 2>to say, Jade needs to learn how to cut a promo.
<v Speaker 2>She hasn't had any, really, just horrific ones that are
<v Speaker 2>embarrassing because they don't even trust her to try to
<v Speaker 2>go out there and even try. That's the most concerning
<v Speaker 2>part is I would at least say, Okay, they gave
<v Speaker 2>her a shot for a seven minute promo. She bombed,
<v Speaker 2>but at least they gave her a try, Like they said, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna sink or swim it feels like they're coddling her.
<v Speaker 2>It feels very much like they don't want her to
<v Speaker 2>have any of that potential implosion on TV. And I
<v Speaker 2>understand that from the perspective of you're trying to mat
<v Speaker 2>gate everyone's weaknesses, hide them, and you know, only allow
<v Speaker 2>their strength to come through. But sometimes you have to
<v Speaker 2>see what you have. You have to let someone go
<v Speaker 2>and see what they can do. And they haven't done
<v Speaker 2>that with Jade yet. They just they haven't, which is
<v Speaker 2>why she hasn't gone anywhere. But I'll continue to I'll
<v Speaker 2>continue to hammer the company until they actually, you know,
<v Speaker 2>after two years now, we should have been getting some
<v Speaker 2>kind of growth for Jade and whatever you really gotten.
<v Speaker 2>So Michen versus Julia, as I said, ended with Julia
<v Speaker 2>defeating Michen to retain the women's United States Championship in
<v Speaker 2>eight minutes and sixteen seconds. That's because Gianna James Janna
<v Speaker 2>James got involved and caused the distraction. Michen got rid
<v Speaker 2>of her, but she ate a big running knee from

<v Speaker 2>of all time and said other people are saying it's
<v Speaker 2>two like sports illustrated in the Chicago Tribune. She insulted
<v Speaker 2>the crowd and said all their teams suck. So I mean,
<v Speaker 2>there's nothing more tried and true and just heal one
<v Speaker 2>O one than attacking the locals team's sports teams, especially
<v Speaker 2>the ones that are doing very poorly, which is essentially
<v Speaker 2>every single uh you know, professional league in Chicago, from
<v Speaker 2>the MLB to the NHL to the NBA. You know,
<v Speaker 2>they ain't doing good to say the least, So all right,
<v Speaker 2>she insulted like I said, she insulted the crowd. She
<v Speaker 2>then said, see im Punk sucks, and that's when he
<v Speaker 2>came out and people went crazy. Punk told Becky it's
<v Speaker 2>not about her, It's about her cowardly husband hiding behind
<v Speaker 2>and a luxury box. And Becky said was about her

<v Speaker 2>time and I'll move on. Explain to me what women
<v Speaker 2>have from a rights perspective, wherever you live, that endowns
<v Speaker 2>them with the invisibility shield of being able to do
<v Speaker 2>physically whatever they want to the opposite sex, with no
<v Speaker 2>expectation of retaliatory action. Explain to me that in what
<v Speaker 2>world would that happen? Of course, none is the answer.
<v Speaker 2>So even in real life, this is not a real expectation,
<v Speaker 2>much less an environment where it's pre planned, predetermined, and
<v Speaker 2>you're actually doing the opposite to try to hurt your opponent,

<v Speaker 2>is supposed to be sure where you're supposed to protect them.

<v Speaker 2>fantasy environment where the men can stand up themselves and

<v Speaker 2>women or attacking women or brutalizing women on air, even
<v Speaker 2>in a wrestling perspective, But to just say, hey, basic
<v Speaker 2>self defense and self respect. Really, these guys are just

<v Speaker 2>it's probably company policy, TKO policy, but I'd love to
<v Speaker 2>ask TKO, hey, and this happened under Vince mcman two
<v Speaker 2>explain this to me, and I know that it's just
<v Speaker 2>one little segment here that will Actually it happened on
<v Speaker 2>Monday too, but it's been a larger problem that's been
<v Speaker 2>going on for a long time in the company. It
<v Speaker 2>makes me lose respect for the wrestlers in the ring
<v Speaker 2>because they'll do all these crazy things, blood sweat, tears.
<v Speaker 2>When it comes to wimmen out, well, yeah, they can
<v Speaker 2>beat me up. I'll just stand here. Why why it
<v Speaker 2>makes me lose respect for them so quickly and the
<v Speaker 2>company so quickly. But anyway, here we go. Aj Lee's
<v Speaker 2>music hits and the place explodes. Now, she got about
<v Speaker 2>as big of a pop as you'd expect to be,
<v Speaker 2>but this may have been the big spop I've heard. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean in years now. Brock Lesnard got a massive
<v Speaker 2>reaction when he returned at SummerSlam. These kinds of reactions
<v Speaker 2>are rare. They're even more rare in the women's you know,
<v Speaker 2>area of wrestling. This may be the single biggest women's
<v Speaker 2>reaction return of all time. She's already gotten one hundred
<v Speaker 2>million views in aggregate over social media, which is incredible. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>the fans already, I mean, it was a goosebumps moment.
<v Speaker 2>I still have gone back and watched it a dozen
<v Speaker 2>times already because it's so It's one of those moments
<v Speaker 2>that just it will live forever now. And I want
<v Speaker 2>to hear from all the people that talk about how
<v Speaker 2>predictable wrestling is that hate when everything's predictable. What do
<v Speaker 2>you have to say about moments like that that everyone
<v Speaker 2>in the world knew was going to happen. I don't
<v Speaker 2>think anybody believed that it wasn't going to happen in
<v Speaker 2>Chicago with the setup that they had Seampung coming to SmackDown.
<v Speaker 2>It's the main event of the show. What world and
<v Speaker 2>what person believes those critics of everything's predictable, If it's predictable,
<v Speaker 2>it's bad. Those people that believe that anything that's predictable,
<v Speaker 2>even if it's the right thing, if it's predictable, it's bad.
<v Speaker 2>And there's people out there like that, What do you
<v Speaker 2>have to say for moments like this? What do you
<v Speaker 2>have to say when you know this is extremely predictable.
<v Speaker 2>It was, but it's completely overridden and overshadowed by just
<v Speaker 2>doing it, being the right move by the company and
<v Speaker 2>just living in the damn moment. And that to me
<v Speaker 2>is more important. And sure, predictability can suck. Sometimes predictability
<v Speaker 2>can be a big factor. But when a star returns
<v Speaker 2>like of this, maude to that reaction, I don't want
<v Speaker 2>to hear from the predictability is bad crowd. I just don't.
<v Speaker 2>It's difficult to do something unpredictable and also do the
<v Speaker 2>right thing those are That's a difficult combination, one that
<v Speaker 2>I know a lot of us expect all the time
<v Speaker 2>as wrestling fans. Oh it's good. I didn't see that coming,
<v Speaker 2>but it's the right thing. That's so cool. That's a
<v Speaker 2>hard combination to achieve in twenty twenty five, with social media,
<v Speaker 2>in leaks in backstage and all the rest of it.
<v Speaker 2>Very difficult. But I will take any day of the
<v Speaker 2>week predictable, but right over unpredictable and just you know,
<v Speaker 2>for the sake of unpredictability, which we've seen at times.
<v Speaker 2>So this was a massive reaction. Crowd was going just
<v Speaker 2>I mean, just insane. Becky Lynch played it perfectly like
<v Speaker 2>she was in shock. She didn't know what to do,
<v Speaker 2>she was messing with her hands, she was just kind
<v Speaker 2>of flabbergasted. Played it great, punk stared off and smiled
<v Speaker 2>with pride looking at his wife and holy s chance
<v Speaker 2>well deserved and she charged Becky finally, and that's when
<v Speaker 2>she just was raining down Haymakers and she tried to escape.
<v Speaker 2>AJ gave her a big slap to the face after
<v Speaker 2>licking her hand, and you know, she bailed with rollins.
<v Speaker 2>That's when Punk and Lee embraced, which was a cool
<v Speaker 2>moment in the ring, and they shared a kiss to
<v Speaker 2>end the show. That's just great. This was It's one
<v Speaker 2>of the just one of those moments that again you're
<v Speaker 2>gonna go back to and watch again and again. I
<v Speaker 2>think if you're a wrestling fan, that gives you goosebumps.
<v Speaker 2>It is it is difficult to say, you know again
<v Speaker 2>that you get a moment that is predictable that still
<v Speaker 2>gives you goosebumps, because usually those moments happened when it's
<v Speaker 2>something unpredictable. For example, Edge returning in twenty twenty at
<v Speaker 2>the World Rumble. That's when I still go back and watch,
<v Speaker 2>which is still incredible, you know, because no one was
<v Speaker 2>talking about Edge coming back at that time, and unfortunately
<v Speaker 2>for him, he timed it the worst you could time it,
<v Speaker 2>right before a pandemic and then had to wrestle in
<v Speaker 2>front of nobody, which is just horrific for him and
<v Speaker 2>so many others. Drew MacIntyre, Brock, you know, Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 2>But it's that kind of moment that I know a
<v Speaker 2>lot of us sometimes get addicted to, and it just
<v Speaker 2>all of a sudden, it's an expectation, right, all of
<v Speaker 2>a sudden, it's just oh wow, we need more of those.
<v Speaker 2>Those are hard to concoct though. That's hard to just
<v Speaker 2>again in today's day and age, be able to manufacture,
<v Speaker 2>make it feel organic, have that star power there as well.
<v Speaker 2>Those are factors that are very very difficult to have
<v Speaker 2>all come together for the unpredictable and right move. Those
<v Speaker 2>are those moments are even rarer. But I will take this.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure a lot of us, you know, if you're
<v Speaker 2>listening to this, how can you not be excited about
<v Speaker 2>A J Lee's return? It was just awesome? Now, how
<v Speaker 2>long is her contract? What is she going to do
<v Speaker 2>beyond this? You know, proposed tag team match that is
<v Speaker 2>all but confirmed again for Wressel Palooza. You know, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know. I would think that she's here for at
<v Speaker 2>least a year tested out, see what happens. She has
<v Speaker 2>a whole new roster to work with. On top of yes,
<v Speaker 2>Nikki Bella, who's a former WrestleMania thirty one opponent. I

<v Speaker 2>destroyed them. She destroyed half the women's roster in a promo,

<v Speaker 2>on the mic. She might be one of the best
<v Speaker 2>women's talkers ever in the company. So hopefully she's retained that.

<v Speaker 2>ring Russ pretty quick. She looks like she just walked
<v Speaker 2>out of a time you know, some kind of time machine,
<v Speaker 2>Like she left in twenty fifteen and came back in

<v Speaker 2>can tag in, you can do a kind of like
<v Speaker 2>get a breather and feel the crowd out and get
<v Speaker 2>your feet wet again, and you know, see how you feel.
