Speaker 1: Welcome to Reality with the King. It's me Carlos Kings, the King of Reality TV and one of the most sought after executive producers in reality television with over ten years of production experience. Twice a week on Reality with the King, we'll sit down with my friends across the entertainment industry, recap our favorite reality shows and revisit unforgettable moments that we are still talking and tweeting about. Hey, rain drops of today's episode of Reality with the King. I am super stoked. This year is starting off super right. And these two guys are the best, not one of I listen. I think that the two best in the business of podcasting. I adore them. They are super duper successful. They have live shows and listen, everybody knows these guys. I'm talking about Being and Ronnie from the uber successful Watch What Happens podcast. Give it up, ladies, Jeltimate days and days for Ben and Ronnie.

00:01:14
Speaker 2: Great to be back. Thanks for having us.

00:01:17
Speaker 3: Goodness to talk to you. I know I haven't.

00:01:20
Speaker 1: We haven't seen each other maybe over a years, so I'm just so happy that you guys have blessed me to be on my podcast. I was a guest on yours. We had a good gay time and this time I want to return the favor. So, you guys have a lot of live shows coming up. So my rain drops are also fans of the two of you. So where can they, like support get tickets? What cities are coming up?

00:01:46
Speaker 2: Oh?

00:01:46
Speaker 3: Sweet? Thanks?

00:01:48
Speaker 4: You can go to watch at Crappins dot com and March we'll be in Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Toronto, Charlotte, Atlanta, DC, and Philly. So find tickets over there, and then other dates for the following months over there.

00:02:01
Speaker 5: It's a whole bunch more after that. But you know we're not gonna spam you with all the all the cities. But yeah, there's a big list on Watchrocrapins dot com.

00:02:08
Speaker 2: We're really excited now.

00:02:10
Speaker 1: So I started to do my podcast live on the road as well.

00:02:14
Speaker 3: It's it's a lot of work.

00:02:16
Speaker 1: It's a lot of work, and the days you guys have are giving me Cowboy Carter Beyonce at So like, you guys.

00:02:23
Speaker 3: Are pretty much full for twenty twenty.

00:02:25
Speaker 1: Five because people love to see you guys. What can't that expect when they see you guys live?

00:02:32
Speaker 5: Well, you know, we do like a stand like not stand like a classic Watchra crap Ins thing where we go up there, we recap the shows, we go seen by singing, we do our impersonations, but because it's live, we just are able to be like a little bit more physical, and it's like we also feed that audience feedback. I don't know if you feel this way, Carlos, but like when the audience is just like there's like electricity in the audience, that usually kind of feeds us in a way that's different from doing the shows like the Stand, like at home shows that I personally really love that I feel like gives everything kind of a sort of crispy, exciting quality to it.

00:03:08
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like when you watch a sitcom and they have a laugh track, they're funnier, okay, like the old classic They're just funnier that way. I don't know how that works, but I've listened to a couple of years. I love yours, and yours are lit. I mean people are going crazy in there.

00:03:22
Speaker 1: Yeah no, honey, they're dancing, they're drinking, they're eating, and my rain drops are the type of crowd where they yell out comments because I'll bring on a guest, right, So I had Teresa do. My favorite story is I did a live show in New York City at the City WINERYD with Teresa iconic legend. Yeah, ju guys right are tree huggers and the rain drops?

00:03:52
Speaker 3: No, Ben and Ronnie in the same room.

00:03:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, they yelled at us, not like like, not like negatively.

00:04:01
Speaker 3: It was more so like at this person, fuck that person. She's she's.

00:04:08
Speaker 2: Listen.

00:04:08
Speaker 3: Teresa loved it. She ain't it up.

00:04:11
Speaker 2: Look.

00:04:12
Speaker 3: Teresa's like, well, I can't say it, but you guys surely can't. So it was fun. It was fun. Yeah, it is a good one.

00:04:18
Speaker 2: Well it's fun because you know what.

00:04:19
Speaker 5: Like we're like everyone, these are all Bravo fans, right, and like we so rarely like these days, people aren't even going into an office, so like an office cooler is sort of non existent anymore.

00:04:30
Speaker 2: And if you do have an office cooler.

00:04:32
Speaker 5: One person's watching one show, one person's watching another show.

00:04:35
Speaker 2: No one's watching the same thing.

00:04:36
Speaker 5: So these live shows are really kind of a chance for people to come together and kind of really kind of live in these fan moments. And it's like it's really fun. People do they always are like fuck her, you know, and it's it's it's great. We had an GK from Salt Lake City on our show recently, our live show.

00:04:56
Speaker 3: Yes, no man, not to cut you off. K is my new obsession.

00:05:05
Speaker 2: She is great. No.

00:05:05
Speaker 5: So we did a show in Salt Lake City and she came to it and she was so wonderful and the crowd, like, I mean, it was when she came out on stage, that crowd. I was like, you know that she lives in your city, right, you could probably just go to a salad and find her. But like they it was just like that is loud. I mean, I think just being around Bravo fans is just a very exciting thing.

00:05:24
Speaker 3: No, they're the best. They're the best of the best. So we have to get into the latest.

00:05:28
Speaker 1: Episode, part one, the Royal Housewives of Potomac Reunion. I must say, I really enjoy this reunion because the thing about this particular episode, to me, it was funny, and I'm always going to choose funny over anything else too, you.

00:05:46
Speaker 3: Know what I mean? Do you agree, Ronnie?

00:05:47
Speaker 2: Oh?

00:05:48
Speaker 4: Helly, Yeah, if it's funny, I can forgive anything else. I think the season was uneven, and I think they kind of sense that coming into.

00:05:54
Speaker 3: The reunion, and they made up for it.

00:05:56
Speaker 4: I mean, even without Karen there, they just dragged her ass the whole time anyway, And I thought, but it was so funny.

00:06:03
Speaker 3: Everything the whole thing was about Karen. I cracked up.

00:06:07
Speaker 1: My mouth was on the floor because let's just get into it. So the episode begins with Karen looking like.

00:06:16
Speaker 3: She's in the witness protection program.

00:06:18
Speaker 1: She is at home, full on old navy, do you know what I mean? And yes, I'm like, wait, what's going on? And she's emoting to the camera. How you know she's not in the best place.

00:06:35
Speaker 3: You know, she knows there's people who look up to her.

00:06:38
Speaker 2: You know, do what I say, children look up to her?

00:06:42
Speaker 3: Carlos, let's get into that. I love Karen.

00:06:45
Speaker 1: I was fortunate to see Karen maybe a week before the verdict came out. We were in Los Angeles at a party and she wasn't drinking.

00:06:55
Speaker 3: I want the world to know that she was.

00:06:57
Speaker 1: I didn't see her drink anything, So I want everyone to know that, for real, she was in a a in a decent mood. But seeing the video, I felt obviously bad for her. Is not a laughing matter. But when she said children look up to me, I'm like, I don't know if I want my child between the ages of five and eight watching this show and looking up to any anybody on these shows.

00:07:20
Speaker 3: But I thought that was odd to say children.

00:07:23
Speaker 4: Well, Karen, Karen. No children are looking up to you. They are looking away. They're running away from you because your ass is coming after them for their stem cells.

00:07:31
Speaker 3: No one, no child.

00:07:33
Speaker 4: In America is looking at Karen and thinking, Wow, what a hero. They're thinking, how how's that lady talking without her teeth staying still?

00:07:41
Speaker 5: She's acting like she is on like the posters for unicf right now.

00:07:52
Speaker 4: We love Karen, but come on, the best part of Karen is her delusion.

00:07:57
Speaker 3: You know, I'm a hero? I hear out of the children.

00:08:02
Speaker 2: Look to me.

00:08:05
Speaker 5: Like was there was there like an army of small children outside this party the edge of way through because they're all just clawing at her, trying to trying to get her, just trying to touch her arm.

00:08:18
Speaker 3: I don't miss it.

00:08:19
Speaker 2: The thing what care? It is?

00:08:20
Speaker 1: Like I said as I was watching it, I'm like, this is so sad. It's kind of depressing. But to no cares a love for the children. Part of like I literally got out of the moment of sadness. I'm like, what the fuck are you talking about?

00:08:34
Speaker 3: Like children?

00:08:36
Speaker 1: Because what he said my fans, because she has fans and people love the Grand Dams, so that was confusing to me. I want to ask you, guys, this not here to diagnose anybody, right.

00:08:47
Speaker 3: Oh, she made a point to.

00:08:49
Speaker 4: Say, listen, I've read enough about it on Reddit to know that I can know whatever is out there. I'm so sick of people telling me I need to have to go to college or get a degree in this and that. Get the fuck out of here. I don't with enough bipolar, crazy ass people. I've dated enough. Listen, here's my degree, penis is. Okay, I've dealt with them, and I can diagnose whatever the hell I want to. I don't care what year it is.

00:09:13
Speaker 2: Ronnie like Stacy is very educated.

00:09:17
Speaker 1: We're going to get to that too.

00:09:20
Speaker 3: She's educated in the streets and maybe the sheets.

00:09:23
Speaker 1: Okay, guys, and articulately, for the record, that is not a word. Okay, Cara bit appoint those guys to say that she does not have a drinking problem.

00:09:39
Speaker 3: Well, yeah, she has a problem not drinking.

00:09:43
Speaker 2: She has a driving problem though.

00:09:48
Speaker 3: And look, here's the thing.

00:09:49
Speaker 4: The problem isn't if you have a drinking problem, I don't care. And I feel like we're we love these shows and some of the best housewives have a drinking problem and I don't care. I mean, I think that should be part of the job requirement. You know, you need at least one per city. The problem is driving while you're shit faced, you know what I mean? You have an uber problem?

00:10:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.

00:10:12
Speaker 5: But also like notice that, like she you know, she's like, I don't have a drinking problem, and then she says, well, I'm gonna go away so I can find out about why I took antidepressants while I drank. I'm like, okay, so you're being slippery again, which is again why we love her. But like on the one hand she's saying she's taking full accountability, while the other hands saying, like, oh.

00:10:31
Speaker 2: I wasn't.

00:10:32
Speaker 5: I don't have a problem. I just happened to take antidepressants. At the same time, it's like I'm not sure about that.

00:10:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, because the thing is that what we saw the show.

00:10:41
Speaker 1: I want to say maybe since season two, honestly, there has like this bitiness like hanging care that's been dangling excuse me where the not she has a drinking problem. Sharie Jordan Jackson was on my podcast and she did say that Karen is known as the old.

00:10:58
Speaker 3: Drunk at the bar.

00:11:00
Speaker 1: Every other housewife pretty much intimated that there's something there. And when it comes to Karen, like you're saying Ben speaking about the antidepressants and listen, I'm not saying that's not the case, right, But I do think there obviously is an issue there, and I do hope that in this recovery center because one thing that isn't being said is the word rehab. And obviously, when it comes to these housewives and their publicists, it's very carefully.

00:11:32
Speaker 3: Crafted these statements.

00:11:34
Speaker 1: Why do you think rehab is not being used in this conversation, but the calling it a recovery center.

00:11:41
Speaker 5: Because if you say rehab, if she has a drink later, people will get on her about falling off the wagon.

00:11:46
Speaker 2: Now she's not saying she was on the wagon in the first place.

00:11:49
Speaker 5: She was just sort of like being towed by the wagon or something, so she can't really fall off of it.

00:11:54
Speaker 4: It's kind of the Shannon Badoor school of alcoholism. You know, you're not an alcoholic unless you say you are, and I think that is kind of true in life. I mean, I cut back on drinking a lot, and people have approached me and said, you've really helped me with my sobriety. And I almost feel guilty because I never said I was sober, Like I'm not completely sober, but I've gotten my shit together. And so I think that there's a difference because if I ever say I'm an alcoholic, you know, then people will be like, then why do I smell vodka on your breath?

00:12:20
Speaker 3: Well, we've got to have breakfast. I don't want to have to.

00:12:26
Speaker 4: Explain myself everywhere I go. And so that's the difference, Like when you're ready to say you're an alcoholic and you're ready to make that your thing, because that does become your thing. It's like if you're in college and you have a penis or two. You know you're and you don't say anything about it. It's fine, but the first time somebody calls you gay, you're done.

00:12:42
Speaker 2: You know you're committed to the lifestyle. We all know it.

00:12:47
Speaker 4: And I think that's alcoholism. If you say you're an alcoholic, that's it, you know.

00:12:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, So this way, there's like options for later on now. You know what I always think about was a few seasons ago, was it that like Nique's basement or something like as Karen getting wasted at like that basement like bar that Monique had, And.

00:13:06
Speaker 2: That to me is more of like that.

00:13:08
Speaker 5: That is more of the damaging you know, uh footage for Karen, like after that moment where we say, oh, I didn't realize that Karen, Karen's kind of a drunk, isn't she?

00:13:18
Speaker 2: Because she was. I just will always remember that footage.

00:13:20
Speaker 5: She was like her hair was hanging down in her face and she's like, let me say.

00:13:24
Speaker 3: I was like, oh wow, Karen, Karen, like Karen, obviously somebody likes to have fune.

00:13:32
Speaker 1: And then when you're watching the footage that was courtesy of obviously the police, and she brought up the Grand Dome pretty much said she doesn't know how she got that name.

00:13:45
Speaker 3: Andy come and gave it to our And I'm like, not, why is Andy in it? Like what?

00:13:49
Speaker 1: But it goes to show you that unfortunately, and Ronnie, You're right, these housewives, they obviously have a certain characteristic that we do.

00:14:00
Speaker 3: You know what I mean, Karen does live two different worlds.

00:14:04
Speaker 1: I think when the camera's on, Karen feels the need to present this granddam image. And I also think that's largely the reason why she may be in the predictivement she's in, because she's not living her authentic self.

00:14:19
Speaker 4: I want to think Karen, but I think that is Karen. I mean, I think Karen's a delusional, crazy person, and that is her, you know, she is. I think she probably has always walked around like she's the shit, you know, and she's gonna.

00:14:30
Speaker 3: Do it no matter what.

00:14:30
Speaker 4: And she'll be the same way in prison, you know, she'll still be the Granddam of prison and being like, really, do we stab each other with folks or is that how we eat all mush? Come on, now, these people have worked hard to make us good spokes.

00:14:42
Speaker 3: Let's use them with Yeah. I mean, here's some manners people.

00:14:48
Speaker 5: I generally speaking, I almost always hate when a real housewife produces herself and is very guarded and you're like getting a version that she thinks that you want to see.

00:14:58
Speaker 2: And Karen is really an exception to the rule.

00:15:00
Speaker 5: Like, I don't know if I want to see the regular Karen who SLINKs into the tally hoe on a Saturday morning in sweats.

00:15:05
Speaker 2: I think I want to see grandam version of Karen with all.

00:15:07
Speaker 5: Like she just says like bullshit after bullshit after bullshit in a way that I'm just like, yes, I love it. Bring it on because watching her sort of like bend the truth or like you like, sort of be very slippery with her words to make it all make sense is kind of like one of the great perks of watching her.

00:15:22
Speaker 3: Now listen, she's so fascinating.

00:15:25
Speaker 1: So when I was at the party with her in December, she had on a fabulous wig. She wore a black outfit. She was with her daughter. She was very pleasant. So Ronnie and Ben I say to her, you know, you know I love you. She was like, Carlos, I love you too. I said, listen, when are you going to come on my podcast?

00:15:44
Speaker 3: She was like, bitch never? And I said why not?

00:15:51
Speaker 1: And she goes, why would I I know all about you? You could you could trick these other girls. You can't trick me with your questions. I'm like, but what was crazy?

00:16:00
Speaker 2: If?

00:16:01
Speaker 3: It made me love her even more?

00:16:02
Speaker 1: Like to get dismissed by Karen Huger kind of you know, makes me happy.

00:16:08
Speaker 3: I love it.

00:16:09
Speaker 4: Orse, Yeah, it's amazing. And it also means she listens, you know, she knows what.

00:16:13
Speaker 3: Oh no, she knows what's going on. She knows what's going on.

00:16:15
Speaker 1: So when you saw the Sharon Stone Basic Instinct video that Karen was in, I mean, blonde hair boy, the white dress, giving virginal tease, Yes, beautifully lit, the best she's ever looked. I mean, I don't want to say it, man, but she never looked better like she was, like I think that Recovery Center glow up.

00:16:43
Speaker 2: It was already starting to kick in.

00:16:45
Speaker 3: Oh yeah.

00:16:46
Speaker 4: And Ben was saying in the recap that it's like the difference in Monster, where shir Lisa On wins the Oscar for playing Monster in that terrible outfit, and then she comes back later for the Academy Award looking like slowly through. And I thought that was a perfect way to put it, because that really is what it was. Supporting mom Jean from Old Navy and you know, a possum on my head and then she comes back and she's like, don't worry, it's still me.

00:17:12
Speaker 3: Yes.

00:17:13
Speaker 5: That's why it's so important for supporting actresses to win these Oscars, because they're like, look, I didn't wear makeup. And I put in fake teeth for this role, so I need the Oscar to show everyone I'm still actually very glamorous and beautiful.

00:17:22
Speaker 2: And that's what Karen was doing, and she gave an oscar speech too.

00:17:26
Speaker 6: I like to thank Andy Cohen, Andy Cohen, because you sent me an evite to an event I had really got me through a few days.

00:17:34
Speaker 2: There in December.

00:17:34
Speaker 6: And also Ashley, Ashley, I enjoyed the like that you gave me on Instagram.

00:17:39
Speaker 3: That really helped you. Camera man, Thank you water boys, of all of you, all of you went.

00:17:46
Speaker 2: To the bus boy tally ho. Thank you for my coffee.

00:17:50
Speaker 4: We're all grand Dams today.

00:17:53
Speaker 1: I'm cracking up because it was like an accepted speech. And my favorite part was where she said one last person. I honestly thought it was going to be Ray, who had her back the entire time, but she said Andy Cohen, and he said, bitch me, Like wait what she'snny.

00:18:16
Speaker 5: She's like, let me just be sure, let me make sure I say I keep having I want to make sure I have that first seat next year at the reunion when I come back side.

00:18:25
Speaker 4: It's so funny that everyone said, how dare you not say Wendy, I thought you would say witty, and no one thought why didn't you say Ray?

00:18:32
Speaker 3: No, we didn't even think that.

00:18:35
Speaker 4: You're the only person I've heard say like, why wouldn't you think she pulled a Hillary?

00:18:40
Speaker 3: What's that girl's name?

00:18:41
Speaker 4: We won the Oscar and didn't think her stupid Hillary?

00:18:45
Speaker 1: Yeah?

00:18:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah yeah.

00:18:47
Speaker 1: But listen, what I really did love and was honestly surprised by was Giselle in tears, because look, Giselle isn't the most.

00:18:56
Speaker 3: Warm or sensitive on the show, so to see that level of.

00:19:05
Speaker 1: Warmness come out of her, I really did enjoy it because I'm like, Okay, I really believe that she was sincere and that Did you guys buy that as well? Or did you think it was another Oscar winning performance?

00:19:19
Speaker 5: I couldn't tell it because she, like Giselle, famously, does not like to cry on camera, right, and I think she barely even cried for her dad's passing, So the fact that it was Karen that brought her to tears, I couldn't help but wonder if it was if it was like a little performative, But then I thought, well, she doesn't need to be performative about this. If anything, she would want to laugh about it. So I was like this, I guess that was sincere, but it felt strange and wrong.

00:19:42
Speaker 2: I didn't feel comfortable with it.

00:19:44
Speaker 3: I think it seemed real.

00:19:45
Speaker 4: I just you know, I think with Giselle's really good with her alliances, and this this year, her alliance is with Karen. You know, she's anti Stacy no matter what, even if Stacey doesn't do anything, She's just going to go for it. So I think she's a pro. But also they've been friends for so long, and it is sad. You know, we make a lot of Karen jokes, and I mean Karen makes it easy because that video where she was pulled over and she's telling the cop you know, like I am lit and like, you know, all that stuff that she did in the video was just so hilarious. Like as dark as it is, it was just so fucking funny to watch because it's so Karen to be in a duy video like that. But even through all of that, you know, it is so sad, and you are seeing someone who's really sad and she's kind of at rock bottom and she's so mortified, and someone who cares that much about what people think about her to be going through that, so, you know, so it is sad on many levels. So yeah, I think that Giselle's a good enough friend to you know, care because that's real. A lot of the stuff on these things are just fake, stupid fights they make up, and this is something real.

00:20:45
Speaker 3: So it was nice to see that from Giselle.

00:20:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, and also think too, these ladies know way more than we can even imagine, and I think for them it was the realization that if finally caught up with her, like if finally got caught up with her, And I do think a lot of them want the best for her, like they really want her to take this seriously, and all of us do, like listen when it comes to Karen. She's a great reality star. She obviously is one of the faces of Atomac. She's funny to watch, but we all want to make sure she takes care of herself because, like you said, if you want to drink, that's fine, but Paula Uber like, don't get behind the wheel and make the mistake of doing what you did again. So hopefully that happens. But one mistake that was made that we saw too was Wendy believing that Karen was her friend. So throughout the season, we did see doctor Wendy have Karen's back shut down every conversation where her name was brought up when she wasn't around, But to see that Karen talk about her to stay and then for when did to find out about that and admitted that she regrets in biting her to the White House.

00:22:07
Speaker 3: What did you guys make of all of that?

00:22:08
Speaker 1: Like, do you feel like it's true that cam and befriends the newbie to be like this mother hand and then once she sees them become independent without her, she drops them.

00:22:19
Speaker 2: Yes.

00:22:20
Speaker 5: I think Karen one hundred percent does that, And I think it is partially like a psychological thing. I think she wants to be a mother hen and then partially it's like, hey, I'm gonna get out in front of the nar I'm gonna shape the narrative.

00:22:32
Speaker 2: I'm gonna shape her from the beginning.

00:22:33
Speaker 5: But I think when you do that, it always comes back to bite you because people always crosscheck and they double check and then they realize, wait a second, Like I came into this group and you made me believe a certain thing, but you actually poisoned all these relationships and now I'm the one who is suffering because of it because you did this to me. And invariably the person that she tries to bring in and do that too, they always turn on her, and she doesn't seem to realize that it's like ultimately a losing strategy. But I think that, uh, I think Karen, she she tries, she tries, and I'm sure I'm shocked. I'm shocked that Wendy really thought that Karen had her back, especially because their relationship was actually the opposite of that, because when Wendy came into the group, Karen specifically did not go up to her and try to like to mother hen her. She actually tried to actly she didn't even know Wendy when they actually didn't know each other.

00:23:26
Speaker 4: But I think two things can be true too. I mean, look, I don't think Karen deserves to be shocked to hell just because she talks shit about somebody. It's not like Wendy sits there. It's not like Wendy wouldn't say in a group, in a private group like this one is crazy. She's full of shit, but she's fun, you know. I Mean, I think that it's fair that Karen met with this new person. She's like, Now, Wendy you got to watch out for because she's very serious about herself. She's going to talk about her degrees all the time, and she's annoying as fuck, but she's also got these other things that are great about her. You know, that's just normal girl shit talking. So this whole like, I'm gonna tell on Karen care was never your friend.

00:24:01
Speaker 3: That's not true.

00:24:01
Speaker 4: I mean, you can be friends with someone and also think they're an asshole fifty percent of the times. Otherwise I wouldn't have friends. My friends wouldn't hang out with me. I'm sure they talk about.

00:24:09
Speaker 3: Me all the time. So some of that I was just like.

00:24:12
Speaker 4: Eh, you all talk shit about each other, and I don't. I don't want to crucify Karen for that because she's not necessarily wrong about Wendy. But she also still likes Wendy, you know what I mean. She didn't say anything that bad. She said she's self absorbed and whatever else about Wendy and Wendy is like that. You know, just read any comments where the audience speaks. I mean, Wendy, Wendy can't be like that. But Wendy's also really funny, and she's also a good friend, and she's also got a lot of really good qualities, you know.

00:24:38
Speaker 5: So the other thing is with Karen too, is it's not it's not just that she wants to mother Hen, but she is basically investing in you.

00:24:47
Speaker 2: As her soldier. I mean, she uses the phrase soldiers all the time, which I was.

00:24:51
Speaker 3: Like, who's going a soldier for Karen?

00:24:52
Speaker 2: Who good?

00:24:53
Speaker 6: It's like, why are we soldiering for someone who craps? Gether no media, and she'll take me down in the middle of the street.

00:25:04
Speaker 5: But basically, she pours all this into people, and she's always like she's a good girl, and she brings people to the tally ho and she goes she brings them under her wing. But it's basically it's basically because there's gonna come a moment when she's gonna call upon you and she's gonna need you, and if you're not there at that moment, then she will then destroy you.

00:25:26
Speaker 2: And that's kind of what happened in Stacy. It happens every year with someone like.

00:25:30
Speaker 4: She calls them soldiers and she's using a war term when she takes them to lunch, like she takes up to the tally ho, which is a war term.

00:25:38
Speaker 2: I love that I need to go to the tally ho.

00:25:43
Speaker 1: I would love to go to tally ho the thing listen. I think Karen also understands that. Look, she is an og and when these new girls come on. I tell people this all the time, Ben and Rannie, these housewives form alliances. And what's shocking to me is the audience gets mad at me when I say that, and I'm like, do you guys really believe that these friendships are going.

00:26:11
Speaker 3: To last outside of the show, Like got I got read for Philip when I said guard Solth and.

00:26:17
Speaker 1: Sutton of friendship of convenience. I'm not saying they don't like each other. I'm not saying they hey me. All I'm saying is if their friends five years post the show not them bup I being on, I would be surprised. Right when it comes to Karen, I think Karen is trying to, like you guys said, have her soldiers on her team.

00:26:38
Speaker 3: I don't think any of these women, in.

00:26:40
Speaker 1: My opinion, I don't think there's not one Potomac housewife in this current cast that are friends in real life. I think Giselle and Robin are our best friends with or without the show. I think Alexis and Marisol are best friends with or without the show, and I think it there right.

00:27:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, you've got Exel and Teddy, but that doesn't really count, I guess because Teddy's not there, right. Teddy, I think is still kind of an alliance in that sense where she's just like she's Teddy, like she's gonna ride hard for Kyle, and I think she still thinks she's going to be back on that show and they're gonna have like a power. But yeah, I see what you're saying, and I do think that's what it is. And I think that's why Wendy's stuff rings a little untrue. I just mean the stuff from the reunion where she's all of a sudden mad with Karen now, because I think that was just when they talk about like who's called Karen, Who's talked to Karen since all this happened. Wendy hasn't talked to Karen since they filmed the show, So I think that that's more, you know, that speaks to more of who's real friends and who's not, you know, even astally talked to her and even or texted her at least like there were a couple of them who are like, well, we talked at Christmas or we talked to New Year's which I think is normal for kind of an average friendship, you know. But yeah, I just don't buy that they were ever best friends. But Wendy needs in the line, I mean Wendy, and so does Karen. Karen was always again, always trying to come for Karen, and Wendy really needed it after the past couple of years. And so I think Karen was pretty good until she got caught talking shit behind her back. I think she was a pretty good alliance member for Wendy.

00:28:15
Speaker 5: Is there a conspiracy theory here? Tell me if this is too conspiratorial, or if this is a possibility that Wendy because Wendy's smart and she knows who Karen Huger is, and she knows Karen talks shit and everything, and she knows Karen never really accepted her. Is there a possibility that Wendy's had watch I'm coming back this season.

00:28:34
Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be contentious.

00:28:36
Speaker 5: You're gonna see like a nicer, more like chill Wendy, and I am going to stand up for Karen, and I'm gonna and I'm going to stand up so hard for and watch she will betray me. There will come a moment when she will betray me, and when that happens, people will see that I'm actually the cool person here right, like, because Wendy was sort of people didn't really love Wendy the past few seasons, and she's do you think that she was? Like, I'm going to blindly back Karen on spec that she would get the betrayal and be able to have the betrayal card.

00:29:07
Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna say this and I'm gonna take it back.

00:29:13
Speaker 2: Style.

00:29:17
Speaker 3: I agree with Ben.

00:29:18
Speaker 1: The thing is this, doctor Wendy is the smartest woman on that stage, not just for degrees, but it turns out how to play the game. I think doctor Wendy sits back and looks at everything around her, and she plays according to the players within the room. And she, unlike most reality stars who form alliances, doctor Wendy plays the game to the end like she can like forecast, like to your point, band, I know the history of Karen, and I know at the end of the day, the audience will see that I've had her back. So when Karen messes up the audience, not the girls, because who gives a shit, right, the audience will be on my side. So when I go after Karen next season, because that's what that's actually what's being set up, right, was being set up is a Karen versus Wendy, and I'm here for it. Doctor Wendy plays this game of housewives better than anyone on that couch.

00:30:28
Speaker 3: So I would not put it past her.

00:30:30
Speaker 1: I think I think Doctor Wendy's first season, like any housewife, she came in like I'm gonna be me and I'm going to be myself, and I believe she watched a couple of episodes or seasons and understood the dynamics. But once she got through her first season and she got read for four degrees, we've seen a different Doctor Wendy. And I think this season was her best one because she knew, like the fan favorite from an audience standpoint is Aaron, So let me ride with the fan favorite, and.

00:31:03
Speaker 5: It's like a sympathy play. It's a really strong sympathy play. And I think that maybe she thought she would get sympathy from when she and Gazelle and Robin had their initial falling out when they brought up rumors about Eddie and everything, and like I was the audience, I personally don't think any of us really cared, like, you know, it was shitty of them to do it, but it wasn't like, oh my god, poor Wendy. We're like, okay, it's just like it's just another notch on the Potomac bench there and everything. So this is more of like a I'm gonna be good and look, oh my god, I can't believe Karen would do this to me.

00:31:32
Speaker 2: And honestly, you're right.

00:31:33
Speaker 5: It does totally set up next season, and Wendy going after Karen will be I think significantly more entertaining than what we've seen the past few years, which has been a lot of Mia going after Karen because me is just like, you know, she's like a like a floppy fish on a dock, you know, kind of like.

00:31:49
Speaker 1: Not a floppy disk on your Mac computer back in.

00:31:52
Speaker 3: The eighty Give her that much credit.

00:31:57
Speaker 4: Those things at least you know, held in from things, could remember things.

00:32:01
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:32:04
Speaker 4: Yeah, here's where I think Wendy is. Here's where I predict. I predict Wendy may go wrong next year because you're saying she's the smartest one this and that, but Wendy doesn't generally have the audience on her side. I mean, I feel like she she hasn't really aimed correctly and she's focused her annoyance at the wrong people. Like that season when they had the whole happy Eddy thing. She should have won that hands down, like she should have won the audience stuff hands down, but she didn't because she was too focused on Mia having being fake and all of this other stuff that she was going after me as like surgery is that was the same season right right it started off, Yeah, so she kind of didn't have the right take on that. And then I think when she comes back with this Karen thing, she's gonna go way too hard on the you're an alcoholic. I think she's gonna fall into the Tamra Judge hole where Tamra was.

00:32:52
Speaker 3: Like, you dirty alcoholic bitch, and.

00:32:55
Speaker 4: She's gonna play that too hard and then she's gonna end up having to be contrived by the the reunion like Tamra. So I hope she doesn't fall into that hole because it's the lowest hanging fruit. I mean, coming after Karen for literally anything else. I mean, I'm not saying don't come after her for the drinking and stuff, but I hope that she doesn't make that her whole crusade because I think it's going to blow up in her face. And she's in pretty good standing right now, but.

00:33:17
Speaker 5: That could mess up in Karen's face, right because if Karen, you know, with Shannon, she was doing the whole thing like, well, I've taken accountability, I've gone and seen doctor Moon.

00:33:25
Speaker 2: I'm you know, I'm trying to take and make changes in my life. And so for Tamra to.

00:33:28
Speaker 3: Be, like, you know, anacoholic, it just felt so cruel.

00:33:31
Speaker 2: This woman's trying to change.

00:33:32
Speaker 5: But if Karen comes back and is still not really even acknowledging that anything really happened, like oh, I lost control of the car or something like that, and Wendy comes after, she might actually be able to do it. And also, not for nothing, Tamra being totally vile and evil on the last season of Orange County made us.

00:33:51
Speaker 2: All be like, ooh, you're the worst. But it was also an absolutely amazing season, the best.

00:33:56
Speaker 4: Yeah, But it wasn't a great reunion because Tamara ended up kind of failing the end where she.

00:34:00
Speaker 2: Was just good, It's going to be nice.

00:34:02
Speaker 4: Now it's like, no, you have to commit if you're the villain, commit, I know.

00:34:06
Speaker 3: But see that's okay, okay, okay, we have to we.

00:34:09
Speaker 1: Have to we have to settle on this for a second, because I'm glad I have you two, because you.

00:34:13
Speaker 3: Two are like you know, the.

00:34:16
Speaker 1: Housewives historians, and I would love to get your POV on this. I love a villain, right because anybody who grew up watching NAT's Landing, Dynasty, Merro's Place, you know what I mean? Like the iconic dramatic series. Every successful drama show has a villain, and the actor usually wins an Emmy, do you know what.

00:34:39
Speaker 3: I mean for their amazing performance.

00:34:42
Speaker 1: Right when it comes to Housewives, Tama Judge is a Heather Locklear, have the Locklear inspired villain on that show, Blonde, beautiful and just doesn't give a fuck, and I am.

00:35:01
Speaker 3: Here for it.

00:35:02
Speaker 1: Unfortunately, the audience on social media appears to hate it and they call for her dismissal. And because of that, you have someone like a Tama Judge who have to come to the reunion putting her hands on her ass and sit on it to make sure she doesn't say anything to like maybe lose her job. But she made it one of the best OC seasons ever, at least top three, you know what I mean? Why is it hard for the audience to accept that? Just like you love your favorite villain on your drama or your soap operas, why can't they accept one on Housewives?

00:35:45
Speaker 3: I think it's just the she just takes it too far.

00:35:48
Speaker 4: She just gets too dark, And I think that's the problem on a lot of Housewives. They just go too far and the audience doesn't like it when it's just something manufactured or fake. I mean, we know that Tama, well, we know that Shannon got dui already, so we're coming in.

00:36:01
Speaker 3: We're not expecting her not to be called that.

00:36:03
Speaker 4: But then Tamra just goes so mean or she goes so mean, you're poor and then your husband's this, and she just gets so deep and dark that you can't stand up for her. It's better when there's something kind of natural, there some reason to hate somebody, like when she went after Gretchen. She hated Greta and this is way back in history, but she hated Gretchen's ass and she hated her for reasons that people could get. Gretchen's like this young girl married to this old guy, pretending that she loves the old guy and trying to get pity when meanwhile she's sucking some other guy at bass Lake and everybody knows it. And so when Tamra's bringing it up, she's actually getting you on something that's real, and the audience also hates you for that reason. So she's kind of being the villain for the audience. She's taking the person down that the audience wants to kind of be taken down. But then once she just becomes mean and she's like, well, that person's popular, so I'm going to bring her down a peg and I'm just going to be horrible, Like the stuff with Jim Piedrante is just horrible. I mean, that girl is like a little lamb. The audience loves that girl, Like, why would you try to slaughter her? You can't slaughter people that you want. You have to slaughter people that the audience wants you to slaughter.

00:37:07
Speaker 5: I think that we I think that we don't. We don't like what the villains have to say on reality TV. That's what makes them villains. They are often they often are mean, and they often do go too far. The best ones know exactly know what the line is and don't cross it, and sometimes they do go over it, et cetera. But so people call for their for them to be fired all the time. But I do believe that what they don't realize is that when people are calling for these people to be fired, they don't realize how much they are actually loving the dramatic contributions they're making to the show. Because when you hate someone so much, it does add a lot of dramatic stakes to what you're watching. And so as much as you hate these people, like you can't you can't say, like, oh, Southern Southern Troum season five was arguably one of Southern Trump's best seasons. And that's when you had Ashley, which is the first time they ever had a mega villain and the only time they had a mega mega villain on that show. And we're all mad, we're all in it because you're all waiting for that elimination of like get rid of her, put her down or whatever. And so it's like, we like, the people drive us nuts, but we kind of have to live with them. And it's like with a scripted show. Like a soap opera, the villains drive us nuts, but they're villains and we.

00:38:17
Speaker 2: Know that they're written.

00:38:18
Speaker 5: But here these are like real people saying things, and so there's an element of like did they just say that?

00:38:22
Speaker 2: Was this a real person that just said that?

00:38:23
Speaker 5: Does anyone else like like they're like, this is the villain, right, because there's almost like in a soap opera, you know who the villains are, but in reality TV, like it's not always clear is this person really the villain? Because now we're seeing a sympathetic scene with them with like at their child. So it like riles people up, but I think that we have to protect our villains.

00:38:43
Speaker 4: Unfortunately, well also will make that show stop changing mid stream because of the audience, because I know that it's got to be traumatizing to come online and everything being like I hate you, I hate you, fire her fire, especially for someone like Tamra who did lose her job, so now she knows what that pain is and she's trying not to do it again. But it killed her in the end, I mean, it didn't kill her. She's back, she'll be fine, but I mean at the end of the season, that's what ended up getting her.

00:39:07
Speaker 3: You need to be like a Gizelle.

00:39:08
Speaker 4: Gizelle and I have to say, I've had years where I love Gizelle and I've had years where I hate her, And I just mean in the audience kind of a way where you love to hate her. But Gizelle doesn't apologize for Dick and Gizelle will go on there and when they say, Gizelle, the audience hates you this year for bullying whoever, and she's like, whatever, I don't read that, like I do not care if they hate me.

00:39:28
Speaker 3: And Robin was the same way.

00:39:30
Speaker 4: She's like, I don't care. Now you have to be because Gizelle is tough one, you know. And I think that any fan can respect Gizelle even if they don't like her child.

00:39:41
Speaker 1: We are just getting started. This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show.

00:40:00
Speaker 3: No and listen.

00:40:01
Speaker 1: I enjoyed Giselle this season, and I enjoyed Giselle this reunion. I've met Gizelle a couple of times.

00:40:08
Speaker 3: We ungau.

00:40:09
Speaker 1: I can say to this for sure, Giselle is a cool ass woman and.

00:40:16
Speaker 3: She's fun to be around.

00:40:18
Speaker 1: But Gazelle also gets her role on the show, and she does it well doing this reunion when Stacy, who I love, by the way, when Stacey is so freaking good. So when Stacey is congratulating, when dealing happy Eddie and happy Eddie, this out of nowhere my favorite Potomac billin and I mean, that's the best confident possible. Giselle Kobe Bryant's when I call her, she's like, oh, really, is it going to be a happy Stacy A spacey Stacy Archie. Did you meet with somebody? Didn't you tell them that you know you want to start of the show, that you're on the show? They said, who are you? And I'm like, this is this shit that I want to watch?

00:41:05
Speaker 3: I love that. Gazelle said, it has nothing to do with me.

00:41:09
Speaker 1: They're not talking about me, but I'm still going to insert myself Stacy gag, Wendy gag and I'm sorry, boys, I believe Gazelle.

00:41:18
Speaker 4: Well, she does it in such a way that she's giving you specifics, right, She's like, you met with a guy and the guy said, why the hell would I believe in you? And you said, because I'm a celebrity. Well, from watching Stacy, it doesn't seem like Stacy would be like that. But we also saw Stacy go from in her first couple episodes she was a lot tougher and then she fell into this whole like what like this kind of innocent role, Like she figured out her role a little bit later in the season and then stuck with that. So it's like, well, is she really like that? Would she do that?

00:41:48
Speaker 3: And Gizelle just had specific so I believe her too, How can you?

00:41:52
Speaker 5: Also, Stacy's defense was like no, no, no, I'm like, oh, that's really convincing. That's that doesn't sound guilty at all. I just want to say something in defensive Gazelle. Also, honestly, Gazelle has never been a villain to me. Jizelle has actually always been a protagonist for me. If you go back to watch for Crappin's early and early seasons, back when the show began.

00:42:13
Speaker 2: I've always been a Gazelle fan. I'm sorry she is.

00:42:16
Speaker 4: Well a fan, yes, but I mean to say that Gizelle's never been a villain is crazy.

00:42:21
Speaker 5: Cort Well, no, but meaning that like she's not like a perennial villain the way Tamra is like, meaning that given that everyone has seasons where they got villain cuts. You know, I like, she's had her villain seasons, but for me, she's just been someone who stirs the pot, like she just knows exactly how to like throw something in there, just like this example with Stacey and cause chaos and like make a TV show.

00:42:41
Speaker 2: And I've just always loved her for that. I mean, she definitely had.

00:42:45
Speaker 5: Villainous seasons, you know, everything with Canvas and then you know, even coming after Wendy and.

00:42:52
Speaker 3: Eddie, but like over it's a hardened villain Like.

00:42:55
Speaker 2: I just me, she's always been. She's always been heroes.

00:42:58
Speaker 5: Like I want to see her in like a Kate, you know, she.

00:43:07
Speaker 1: She has like this dying Carol way to think that. Okay, there's a difference between a Gazelle villain, a Tama Judge villain, and a Kenyamore villain, right, so I do think Listen, Tama Judge is like no fucks to give, Like gold I even told Tama, like, bitch, you went way too farmashaty, like I like you, but I love you even you made me.

00:43:30
Speaker 3: Uncomfortable and I'm your friends.

00:43:32
Speaker 1: She's like, oh my gosh, Okay, Kenya Moore to me is this Kenya Moore is a hilarious Shade assassin and and she makes it so delicious to watch and you actually laugh at it. The thing with Gazelle, Gazelle has a glamorous way of being a villain and a protagonist.

00:43:52
Speaker 3: I think she's both. But even watching the reunion, she.

00:43:58
Speaker 1: Understands the assignment. And what I love about Gazelle in real life she does not read the comments and that's why she is a formidable opponent to work with. And I believe Stacy is lying because if you're telling me, Carlos, is it true that you're doing a Watchwork crap Ins live show and stealing their name?

00:44:21
Speaker 3: I'm like, fuck, No, I would never do that to Ben and Rodney?

00:44:24
Speaker 2: Are you?

00:44:25
Speaker 1: I wouldn't say no, I'm not doing that.

00:44:29
Speaker 3: No, No, where did you hear that from?

00:44:31
Speaker 2: No?

00:44:32
Speaker 3: I would be so like, are you fucking kidding me?

00:44:35
Speaker 1: Gizelle, don't start no shit with me, bitch, I would never do that.

00:44:39
Speaker 3: You're a fucking liar. You're not trying to come and get me and Wendy. Well, I think Stacey's deal just isn't done yet.

00:44:44
Speaker 4: She's probably talk to something or has talked to somebody about doing it and it hasn't happened yet, so she can't announce it.

00:44:50
Speaker 3: So she's like, what do I even say to this? You know?

00:44:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, And I love that the whole thing, because you can't tell someone they can't start their own weed company. I mean that's just crazy. But the whole thing on this show is you have to talk to Wendy first. It can't be another Well she about to enjoy how three wicks when I enjoy my nine wicks?

00:45:05
Speaker 2: Stupid?

00:45:06
Speaker 3: You know, like she has to know you have to go through the gate. Yeah.

00:45:11
Speaker 5: I think, by the way, I really feel like Stacy is such a good addition. And I think that this this fall, there was a lot of talk Salt Lake City took up all the space justifiably, so Salt Lake City was amazing and massiful, So obviously there was like a lot of talk about Brittany and Bronwyn and like there are these great new newbies, et cetera. And then then Beverly Hills comes along, You've got bows and Bose is doing a great.

00:45:35
Speaker 3: Job, and then I feel it, Yes, Bose.

00:45:38
Speaker 2: Is like just fits in seamlessly.

00:45:40
Speaker 5: But I feel like Stacy really deserves special mention because she is doing something that's really hard, which is being a really good new first housewife without being over the top. And she also is kind of bringing a different vibe this like persons always clutching her pearls and then very sincere. But then you can tell when went against the wall, she will come at you and she can do it pretty well.

00:46:04
Speaker 2: And I'm like.

00:46:05
Speaker 5: Really excited to see if what's gonna happen next season. And I think that she's like a really good casting discovery that Bravo has had that really has kind of gone under the radar.

00:46:16
Speaker 3: A grey A grey. Ryan, What are your thoughts on Stacy. I love Stacy. I think she's just great. I mean I could do with that. TJ.

00:46:22
Speaker 4: So whatever that story, whatever that storyline is, I can't really figure out if he's really just the hired you know, because everyone says that that's kind of the hired boyfriend, like a Kenya Walter type situation or Kenya.

00:46:34
Speaker 3: I don't know any Kenya relationship really.

00:46:37
Speaker 1: Kenny was married to Mark.

00:46:41
Speaker 4: She met Mark in some restaurant, was like you'll do It's like she cast him and then that was it. He'd lived in Brooklyn the whole time. She never even saw that guy. I mean, listen, and I know that that was an expensive casting. It was an expensive mistake because he went off script. He was like, I want all the money. But so I don't know if this is a high situation, what that is. I don't need him on my TV anymore. But I love her.

00:47:05
Speaker 3: I think she's great. I take it you too are a TJ fan. Oh he's the worst. He is the absolute worst. Are you tonguing to me at the party?

00:47:18
Speaker 2: J is a pioneer of mesh shirts on.

00:47:24
Speaker 3: He earned that mesh shirt. Though. I'll give him that he can wear it.

00:47:27
Speaker 4: He does the push. I'm not going to take his mess away from it. And that's probably the best is the worst? Well at Leasta's shirts are like his personality, transparent, loser, my lady alone.

00:47:39
Speaker 3: She deserves better, transparent TJ. That's what you say for transparent J.

00:47:46
Speaker 1: So I want to talk about how a fashion line that could have been the she Buys Your Very Potomac turn into a five to one seed three nonprofit organization.

00:47:59
Speaker 3: Didn't he do that?

00:48:00
Speaker 4: They didn't even bother to file the five oho one c That's the problem.

00:48:04
Speaker 3: What Ronnie, and I.

00:48:09
Speaker 1: Mean this, like Stacy, I guess I'm not smart or educated because I really did not in Stacy, I didn't say that just out there be cleare, But look I did not, And I still don't understand how a fashion line selling apparel is now a nonprofit organization helping out the community. You can't cancer and leggings at the same time, You've got to pick a lane.

00:48:35
Speaker 4: I cannot buy leggings for brain cancer. I need to know a difference. And also the whole when they had to explain it at the three Union and they just kept going weird liaisons.

00:48:46
Speaker 3: What does that mean? You're not between the community and the charity. No, you're not.

00:48:51
Speaker 4: You're if anything, you're a charity broker. So are they taking money and then taking a cut of that money for the charity?

00:48:58
Speaker 3: What are they doing? I don't know, it's fish.

00:49:00
Speaker 2: I feel like that.

00:49:02
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just it's so it's like so vaguely sketched out, like they're going to be doing outreach to the community, but like what sort of outreach are they doing? Like GNA, this athletisure brand is going to be like solving crises on the street or whatever, and like none of it makes sense, and you can tell that you can do you tell they don't even even they aren't taking it seriously because the listener question was like, do you guys even sell things? I went on the site and it's only pictures of you guys, and then Gizell just starts laughing like like, I just I had to do it for the TV show.

00:49:34
Speaker 2: Well, what can I say? Community outreach whatever.

00:49:38
Speaker 4: Weren't they just doing a drop ship for leggings with their name slapped on them like everybody else. It's not like you actually go out there and make the clothes charade. Did her whole Alibaba thing? Didn't that sell? Okay, they need to do.

00:49:50
Speaker 2: A collabor Yes, that's right, I said.

00:49:57
Speaker 5: They need to do a collaboration with Prism, the Whitney Rose jewelry line.

00:50:04
Speaker 4: They don't white label things. I'm looking at it right now. You can get a pink leopard legging right now.

00:50:17
Speaker 3: Wait, is the website working?

00:50:18
Speaker 2: Uh huh?

00:50:19
Speaker 3: Go ahead, Charay, Yeah.

00:50:21
Speaker 4: But it was and women's health and people and the traders. There's even someone to chat with.

00:50:32
Speaker 2: God bless char I'm sad that we don't have Chara back.

00:50:35
Speaker 5: I'm I I feel like, we should just have Charae, just to have Charrette.

00:50:38
Speaker 2: At this point, she's like legacy.

00:50:40
Speaker 5: So even if she does nothing, just like have her in a scene in the background, Like, I just feel like you can't keep firing her.

00:50:45
Speaker 2: It's not fair.

00:50:46
Speaker 3: It's not fair.

00:50:47
Speaker 1: And I washed on every season and this I think she's so underrated. She provides good commentary, great confessional bites. She's she and she always looks the part, and she knows how to be messy, and she's she's like your Zelle. She doesn't give a fuck. Charay reads no comments. Charay just doesn't care. And I love the fact that Charay has this grand this grand du grand yo's delusion that I find fascinating to watch and I love it.

00:51:16
Speaker 3: I just yeah, you got.

00:51:20
Speaker 1: You got face sports, but guy, this this.

00:51:26
Speaker 3: Would be a controversial take. M So.

00:51:32
Speaker 1: The way I feel about Charay, I also feel about Mia.

00:51:36
Speaker 2: Oh.

00:51:36
Speaker 3: You know, I've tried to I've tried to fight for Mea for years. I love Na.

00:51:41
Speaker 4: I think she's so funny, but she's just gotten to the point where it's like she's bringing out like nothing. She even says, you can believe she'll sit there and lie in the same sentence. She'll start one sentence and then lie in the second half of the sentence.

00:51:54
Speaker 3: I'm like, come on now.

00:51:56
Speaker 5: But the difference is it works with me a little bit more because with Bryn, Brynn lies and then everyone on Rony is like, oh my god, oh my god, this is just I just feel so terrible for her, Like there's just so much a you know, like there's.

00:52:09
Speaker 2: It's like what she's been through. And I say, including me, Like on our our last.

00:52:12
Speaker 5: Recap of the season, I was like, guys, I do feel some compassion for But with Mi as she lies and like, oh, you're lying, they just say you're a liar, you're lying.

00:52:19
Speaker 2: You're lying again.

00:52:20
Speaker 4: What we call it the trauma cloak, right, so whenever you're on reality and you're in trouble, you throw on the trauma cloak and nobody can hurt you while you've got that on.

00:52:28
Speaker 3: So it's like, well, but my.

00:52:29
Speaker 4: Parent died, and everyone has to be like, okay, okay, everybody stop yelling at her because the parent died or whatever, like whatever trauma you've got in your arsenal. And Mia tried putting on that trauma cloak three times today and they're in this reunion and they're like, no trauma, cloak denied, and you're still It's like, but people have different experiences. You're not bringing up your right addicted mother. We are going forward with this questioning. I'm sorry, ma'am, you have used that, like.

00:52:53
Speaker 3: We have cloak denied.

00:52:55
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:52:55
Speaker 5: I think we've had like perennial liars on these shows many times before, or people who like there they just have a slippery version of the truth. And I think what's funny with Me is that no one takes her seriously, so it's kind of just funny to watch her just like she lies and it is disproven within like a sentence. It doesn't take like five episodes, it takes thirty seconds. And like, but you said this, well, actually, when I really meant was this, And I think that, like, I think the show is best when when Me is more of supporting rather than central, because she's so she is such a liar that like you can't really get invested in anything that's happening.

00:53:30
Speaker 2: In her life.

00:53:31
Speaker 5: But when she's like on the side and just being messy, that's my favorite lane from her.

00:53:35
Speaker 4: No, because Me is one of the one people who's interest whose home scenes are interesting because they're so crazy, Like I love it right because they are so crazy this year, like her telling her kids all that stuff, like doing all that stuff in front of the kids, and then sleeping with Ink in front of the kids, and then acting like oh on her whole like, well, Gordon has me like that whole thing every time she didn't get away. She well, guys, Gordon has a real bad case of minia, and it's really hard.

00:54:04
Speaker 5: I'm like, Ronnie, I can't believe you would say that MIA's home scenes are more fascinating than Gazelle's. Carlos, did you know that Gazelle has daughters that are going to college. I don't know if you've seen that, but she has daughters.

00:54:16
Speaker 4: But it will be fun when MEA's kids are old enough like Gazelle's to read her for filth, because.

00:54:21
Speaker 3: That's one of the best things about the show.

00:54:22
Speaker 4: Is just I was like, let's have a nice scene with my daughters, and now, like you said, I'll see you.

00:54:29
Speaker 5: Admittedly, no one really, Okay, Ronnie, you has a strong point because honestly, as I'm like going around the couch is actually no one has any good home scenes except for Mia. I mean Ashley's home scenes are just like children on kitchen islands and.

00:54:45
Speaker 4: Just needs to watch some TV. Leave the man alone. How many seasons you need to shoot in one season?

00:54:50
Speaker 5: They need to put a fence up on that island, you know, like it's just like does the kids climb up and they just can't get in there? And just driving me nuts. The children on the kitchen island, that's where food is prepared. But Kierana, by the way, poor Kierana, like nothing's going on over there.

00:55:04
Speaker 3: Remember I wore her social worker hat to lunch.

00:55:08
Speaker 5: I'm still mad at Gray this. This beautiful woman wore this polo shirt on National TV for her for him, and then he won't let her like hang out with the group. Excuse me, no, no, you let her hang out. She's wearing a polo shirt.

00:55:22
Speaker 3: Listen, I We'll get back to be the second k I think. I'm no Listen, let's have a real conversation.

00:55:40
Speaker 1: KK to me is an example of sometimes best as being a friend.

00:55:44
Speaker 2: To the show.

00:55:46
Speaker 1: I don't think she rose to the occasion of being a housewife. I think she makes a great friend to the show. I think Karen needs a friend and KK seems to be one of the only ones who really liked her, besides she's the on the Ashley of course, But I would say that KK unfortunately did not give anything memorable to to have deserved the position of a housewife. And this reunion of part one proved my point that sometimes.

00:56:22
Speaker 3: Friends need to remain a friend.

00:56:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, look Carlos.

00:56:26
Speaker 5: Last year she had a very compelling storyline of getting diarrhea and no one checking out.

00:56:30
Speaker 2: So checking out we're talking about.

00:56:33
Speaker 4: But you also never know until they get a chance to prove themselves. I just don't know that she even gave the audition to prove herself because she didn't have much last year. But she is gorgeous and she looks so good in her outfits that and people did love that, and Bravo does like that, you know, so maybe that's why she got a chance. I think she would also have a better chance with someone that if she was dating somebody that people cared about, because no one is rooting for you to end up with that man. There is not one person in the world watching this show who's like, oh, I hope it works out for her.

00:57:03
Speaker 3: Everyone's like, run, run.

00:57:06
Speaker 4: So it's hard to watch that when he's being an asshole and you have to listen to her complain. It's like having that girlfriend who's always complaining, but you're like, your man's a piece of shit. Like, how many times do I have to spend my brunch listening to you complain about.

00:57:18
Speaker 3: This same man. Get a better man. I don't want to hear about this man anymore.

00:57:22
Speaker 5: I have a question, Carlos, as a professional in this field, why does Kierana get the champagne flute and not Jesse and Jessee seems like she has more messiness happening and she has a more famous boyfriend fiance.

00:57:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think listen, it's kind of a Ronnie intimator right in terms of you don't know until that person gets the opportunity. I think when it comes to kk, based on what happened last season, the fight with Debra and everything going on, the fans were really rooting for her right based on being assaulted by Deborah allegedly whatever. So she was familiar to the audience. You know, the audience likes her. We already introduced her this season before. Let's give her a chance to prove herself. Jazz, in my opinion, deserves to be a housewife.

00:58:20
Speaker 3: Her situation is messy.

00:58:22
Speaker 1: I had Jazzy in my podcast and Hunty the story between Jazzy the football player his baby mama.

00:58:32
Speaker 3: That entire situation. If you guys haven't listened to it, listen what I say to you. It's messy.

00:58:39
Speaker 1: It deserves it deserves its own segment at a reunion show. It's that messy. I am invested in that relationship. I want the baby mama to come to the wedding and say, there's anyone you know?

00:58:53
Speaker 3: I see so much.

00:58:56
Speaker 1: So I think unfortunately because KK had the opportunity the prior season as a friend of and she was fine. She then got the position. But listen, we all make mistakes. You know, we're looking at New York reboot. Mistakes are made sometimes, yeah, and we can bte our wrongs. I think Jazzy deserves to be a flu and I think KK should be a friend.

00:59:22
Speaker 3: That's mine.

00:59:22
Speaker 2: I think so too, And you know Jesse also.

00:59:24
Speaker 5: You know what she also has, which I think is very important is she puts on airs. And I think that's very essential for my housewives because remember when she threw a party and she she had it at the Willard in DC and she's like, I'm having a party for for Darius. Yes, And it was a very formal affair. It was very ladies who lunched, and I was like, oh, this is what I love out of my housewives when they think they are fancier than they are. And so she really fit the bill, whereas Kierana's like, I work on MEDSPA and it's like, okay, you.

00:59:56
Speaker 3: Know, yeah, and my man does want me around you I was filming the show.

01:00:00
Speaker 1: Then then then then you need to leave, Like there's like your man interesting or interested and you being on the show, so.

01:00:10
Speaker 3: You should go.

01:00:11
Speaker 1: The reason why I think I also love me is because I'm Anton inc and Gordon. I. I love this trilog threesome typeecta.

01:00:22
Speaker 3: I just I can't get enough of it.

01:00:25
Speaker 4: Do the highest guys, Yeah really, I mean listen, at the very least we've got bonus.

01:00:30
Speaker 2: It's just a sexy It's just a sexy storyline.

01:00:33
Speaker 3: Really sexy.

01:00:34
Speaker 4: And also it's the first time we've had a stripper who was who found the rich guy, married the rich guy, but stayed with the original boyfriend the entire time. She was married to the rich guy and had kids, but then trick the other guy into thinking that it might be his. I mean, come on, that's that's pretty good. We've never had that on them.

01:00:59
Speaker 5: Also helpful, And it was at that that Ray and Gordon lunch scene. It was like the first time Bravo was like, we're going to commit to two old men having a scene together.

01:01:06
Speaker 4: Yeahler I was like, I was glad because you know what, he deserved that scene. I don't care what anybody says about Gordon. I know that Gordon has a lot of faults, but Gordon deserves a moment of being like, wait a minute, I'm being called literally crazy every second of this show. Let me just tell you at least kind of what's going on, even though no one's going to believe him, you know, like he has less credibility than me even somehow, but I think he deserved that after a whole.

01:01:32
Speaker 1: Year well Gordon's menia, I would have been that time, but the whole freeway with that because of Gordon's media.

01:01:41
Speaker 5: Is Jacqueline going to be Is Jacqueline going to be on the reunion Carlos?

01:01:45
Speaker 2: Do we know?

01:01:45
Speaker 5: Because it feels like she should she can expect Okay, yeah, because she spent a lot. I just want to get from her whether she yeah, is she going is she going to own that she is MIA's mouthpiece or is she going to do her whole thing of like I'm an independent woman again, because watching her like vacillate between those two polls within like a scene often was so hilarious to me all season.

01:02:08
Speaker 2: Like I am not I am not MIAs stooge.

01:02:11
Speaker 5: By the way, Mia says, I'm like her best number one.

01:02:19
Speaker 1: But that's the thing I think, Listen, that's why I like bea too, bea broke Jacqueline in Jacqueline is a sweetheart. But Jacqueline and MIA's dynamics so.

01:02:30
Speaker 3: Weird, and it's so weird you know that.

01:02:33
Speaker 1: It's like lovers are your friends, I you're both in on the I don't get it, but I can't get enough of it because it's something new and I feel like it brought something fresh to this show. Mia obviously is going through a lot because the audience has not loved her a lot this season, and to see her cry go in the dressing room, try to have a conversation with Stacy and and I'm jazzy about the Miami trip with Mia girl.

01:03:07
Speaker 2: She was so caught.

01:03:09
Speaker 3: I was so caught and like that was bad. That was bad.

01:03:14
Speaker 1: But but she wants to leave, like she can't take it like I wanted.

01:03:18
Speaker 3: It was too much pressure for her.

01:03:20
Speaker 4: No, she's gonna leave ten times. She's pulling the center square, you know, she's doing the I'm sitting next to Andy and I'm gonna leave every ten minutes. So now she's pulling the Shannon but door, I am leave me ten minutes after after this segment, you know, and then she comes anymore, and then she's back. This last time, Meredith Mark's just standing up with her patchmina thing with fur on, and she's like, I am leaving, and then she flips it around her head and then turns around and keeps yelling at them and sits back down and.

01:03:50
Speaker 3: Stands back up and flips it around her head again. And meanwhile Seth is like, are we leaving? Like what?

01:03:55
Speaker 2: Like what?

01:03:56
Speaker 1: What?

01:03:56
Speaker 3: What? What are we doing here?

01:03:58
Speaker 5: That's Murdith's that's her classic movie that I remember was season two or so, when they were at some place in the in the middle of the desert and they were eating dinner outside and she stood up from the table and she went in the house and back to the table about five different times, like well, I am gonna leave now, I am going to leave.

01:04:12
Speaker 2: I will not stand for.

01:04:13
Speaker 3: This Classic Housewives. So Danielle used to do it.

01:04:18
Speaker 4: God, there have been so many Housewives that they've just been like, walk off, Queen's I love it and we are trying it. But people don't care if me it walks off. They're like bye, yeah, the.

01:04:28
Speaker 3: First walk off, it's not gonna be a same go ahead.

01:04:31
Speaker 5: I'm gonna say I think the first walk off wasn't that Ramona singer at the reunion when she didn't want to be on the same stage as Alex McCord because Alex McCourt had posed nude one time in her life.

01:04:43
Speaker 2: No, Slutty can't Augustine, I can't be associated.

01:04:46
Speaker 1: I have.

01:04:48
Speaker 2: No way. I'm sorry, Broda.

01:04:54
Speaker 3: We kind of visioned our TV's Green Sister. Okay, so guys, before I.

01:04:58
Speaker 1: Let you go, I got to act question because I want to see if the three.

01:05:02
Speaker 3: Of us are on the same page.

01:05:06
Speaker 2: Okay.

01:05:08
Speaker 1: We saw the entire season of OC, we saw the entire season of Salt Lake City. I don't think it matters to copy others because I think I think we all can agree that the twenty twenty four through twenty five season of Housewives the best two housewives.

01:05:27
Speaker 3: Arguably it's Salt Lake City and OC in terms of their seasons. Is that correct?

01:05:31
Speaker 2: I think?

01:05:31
Speaker 3: Okay, here is my question.

01:05:37
Speaker 1: Out of the OC and Salt Lake City most recent seasons, which housewife city deserves the crown as the best season of that year?

01:05:52
Speaker 4: I would have to say Salt Lake City. I mean, that's just like I have to say. And I love OC, and I loved the whole season of OC, but Salt Lake City is just so funny in a way nobody else really can do. I don't think anybody else can do it right now. They're just also wacko, and their beliefs are so out of joint, like and I don't mean they're religions. I mean they're just all over the place with their beliefs, you know, like literally what they're espousing. You've got Lisa, who's just insanely crazy. Meredith is crazy. Heather is like this desperate person, but also she got like the new thin body and now she's like trying to do the I don't know, now she's trying to do this soap opera thing but still stuck with her old personality.

01:06:34
Speaker 3: I mean, it's just fascinating to watch it.

01:06:37
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, look, Orange County had a fantastic season and I will never take that away from it. It was wonderful. And I thought by the time they got to London and there was a fight where it was like, you looked into my boyfriend. You you looked you snooped on my boyfriend while he's in the middle of an FBI scandal.

01:06:54
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well you.

01:06:55
Speaker 5: Were going to accuse me of pushing my boyfriend down the staircase.

01:06:58
Speaker 2: I thought, how can this is amazing?

01:07:02
Speaker 5: Yeah, But then as amazing as that was, Salt Lake City had the same level of chaos, and I think, if I have to put like a differentiator, I think Meredith's Bob Mitz Vote was such a perfect episode. It was like a bottle episode all in one place. It gave us taglines, it gave us iconic scenes of Mary trying to get figure out how to walk in. It was also there was charming stuff in it. There was lovely stuff. There was chaos. So if I have to tip the scales, it's even though to me, honestly, I don't even need to tip the scales, but I think Salt Lake City wins are you were you setting us up for an Orange County maybe no, no.

01:07:38
Speaker 2: No no no no no no no no no. Okay.

01:07:41
Speaker 3: So this is my response.

01:07:45
Speaker 1: I was not going to watch Salt Lake City after Genshaw went to prison, because I said, like, Genshaw not being on the show to me is like a season without to reach the julyes, like I want to see Genshaw. So then my audience said, there's this woman named Monica, you gotta watch the season, and I said, can't.

01:08:05
Speaker 3: Watch it, and then we don't have to go back to that.

01:08:08
Speaker 1: But I was like, oh, this is like the best TV shop seen in years.

01:08:14
Speaker 3: Right, So then.

01:08:15
Speaker 1: Monica's gone, So Jim left, the Monica left, and I'm like, well, I'm not watching the show.

01:08:22
Speaker 2: Right.

01:08:23
Speaker 1: Once again, my audience, there's this bron Win you gotta watch it. You're missing out, and I have Homo, so I'm like, oh fine, Ronnie and Benn.

01:08:35
Speaker 3: I bingched like.

01:08:36
Speaker 1: Five episodes because I was that much behind, and I said, there is something.

01:08:44
Speaker 3: Here's my answer. OC was a ten out of a ten.

01:08:49
Speaker 1: Perfectly crafted storylines, perfectly curated.

01:08:54
Speaker 3: Moments between like.

01:09:00
Speaker 1: Shit Emily getting into it with Alexis at the house and like like it was just yes, it was like just like it was like just funny and I barely laughed the whole time. And I'm sorry with Jennifer read the fuck out of Tamra and glam Yeah, with her fucking druid ash jeans and her cute top from Zara, and it may offen be like this woman stood up against Tamra. Even Tamar was like, okay, bitch, you did, Like that's how y'all took it. But even with all of that excellence, I'm gonna tell you what Salt Lake City did that me, as a producer was like, I have to give them a crown. The way these ladies are organically funny and organically messy, and how the production of the show plays along these tropes of it being a fucking comedy show and I know all about it.

01:10:06
Speaker 3: I'll speak myself.

01:10:08
Speaker 1: I do miss Old Roney because Old Roney to me was like a comedy show.

01:10:13
Speaker 3: Like it was it was less drama but more comedy.

01:10:15
Speaker 1: And even if it was drama like your Holland Tonnel Vagina, that's like funny.

01:10:20
Speaker 3: It's not Duard.

01:10:20
Speaker 5: So new Roney is not funny. I think it's it's just a barrel of.

01:10:23
Speaker 1: Laughs, so fun Yeah, it's.

01:10:28
Speaker 3: Better than like, you know, Hatch, It's.

01:10:30
Speaker 1: The best thing in the world, right anyway, go on, it's it's it's and those women are hungry, and and those women not that they're producing themselves. Everybody Stull produces, but they do it in a way that it's entertaining. And last but not least, that fucking finale where they had to read the meanest text messages. I didn't know whether to laugh to cry. I was uncomfortable, but I was also impressed.

01:11:06
Speaker 3: I listen.

01:11:07
Speaker 1: I believe the producers came up with that. I don't think it was other right. I was impressed with the producers for saying, how can we top the Monica Garcia moment? Because that to me was like Los Angeles Times front cover of the entertainment section of the newspaper, and and to me, whether or not topped it, it was up there for me, and I felt like with Mary clocked in as well. Yeah, and I love it. I love Brittany. It's a it's it's a special show that I do not want them to mess up because it's it's very different than any other housewife on the roster.

01:11:47
Speaker 3: And that's why I saw Lake City.

01:11:49
Speaker 1: Shockingly for me, who had to being to catch up with you guys, I Carlos King was very impressed.

01:11:56
Speaker 3: With this season.

01:11:57
Speaker 4: Yeah, and just while you were talking, I was thinking, they also do the whole staying real friends. I believe that they actually are real friends. I think that the main women are bonded in a way and I don't know if it was Jen or just being like the smaller show in the in the overall picture, whatever it was, they are bonded in a way that I believe that they are friends, and so they keep coming back together so they can switch it up where they hate each other one minute, but then they can also be best friends, and then they can have a season whether or not, and the pairings actually make sense for the show, you know. So I think that's a really good, you know, strong reason that they're still doing well.

01:12:35
Speaker 5: And the other thing is, which sort of guess what you were saying before, is that you can't imagine the show without any of them. They all kind of like they all pull their weight. And when you look at Orange County, Orange County had an amazing, amazing season, but like you no, Gina and Emily, like they actually had good seasons. You know, they were they got in the mix, they were part of it, but you'd like you're not drawn to them, and it's all like when you watch the Sho show, like, actually, they're pretty good on this show. They actually have a role. They deserve their oranges. But then when you sit back, you say, Gena and Emily, I'm not sure. And where Salt Lake City, It's like feels like everyone has like a vital role in their dynamic.

01:13:15
Speaker 2: That's just like perfect.

01:13:17
Speaker 5: It is very much like they have picked up the legacy of old Roney and now it's like now it sits with them.

01:13:24
