I actually went back and listened, which something I don't usually do. I went back and listened last night as I was going to sleep. 00:01:25 Speaker 5: Made me laugh. 00:01:25 Speaker 4: There's everybody had funny lines. Even Billy Shannon had a funny line. Yeah, I mean, and that surprising that Billy can make somebody laugh. 00:01:34 Speaker 2: He said something funny. 00:01:35 Speaker 3: He said something. 00:01:36 Speaker 4: Funny, not like making fun of him, funny, like he actually he does. 00:01:42 Speaker 3: As they would say, well wonders never see. 00:01:44 Speaker 4: But but it was good and I re listened to a conversation we had at the beginning that I wanted to bring up in front of you. Okay, okay, So, uh, you know, I spend a lot of time uh most days. You know, I'm a person that was to be sort of educated about society, right, and also you have to read the news and stuff to prepare for this show. 00:02:07 Speaker 5: I try to find interesting. 00:02:08 Speaker 3: Little little tidbit, right. 00:02:10 Speaker 4: But you know, after the events of Tuesday, I said, I said to Drew, I need I just need a little time off from that world, right, Like I'm still interested in the goofy world, you know, people like Brionna Chicken Fry like people like that, like because that world is still you know, that can be interesting. 00:02:29 Speaker 3: But the political world, I just got to take like a year off. 00:02:31 Speaker 5: I can't. 00:02:32 Speaker 3: I don't want to for a year. 00:02:33 Speaker 4: Just get upset, right RFK saying, you know, take the floride out of school. 00:02:39 Speaker 5: Like I just I can't do that, Like you know that, you know what I mean? 00:02:42 Speaker 3: Like life's too short, right, ammen? 00:02:44 Speaker 6: Life's too short? 00:02:45 Speaker 4: Yes, And I am cursed with actually caring about things. It would be so much easier if I didn't care, right, I could just be like, you. 00:02:52 Speaker 3: Know what I'm doing. Good. 00:02:53 Speaker 4: This is your life basically right like you And I'm not saying this is a criticism. You don't like you just like my life's good, everything's fine. 00:02:59 Speaker 3: Fight I don't care. 00:03:00 Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's that's a great quality. But I don't know that I can do that. So I think I'm just gonna have to take a year off from the news. I don't know if I'm but that's what my goal is. But then it occurred to me there's a gap of time that I would spend you know, reading X or why that I gotta fill with something. 00:03:18 Speaker 5: Does that make sense? 00:03:19 Speaker 4: Yeah, so we're gonna fiel it with Well, that's what we're talking about. I felt like maybe I need to get a hobby of some sort. You know, my hobbies before have been you know, I like to read, I like to hang out with friends. I'll keep doing that, but I feel like there's still gonna be a gap of time that I need to have a hobby. So we huh to pick a ball? No, first of all, by principle. 00:03:41 Speaker 5: No. 00:03:42 Speaker 4: Secondly, I'm still trying to get over this risk thing and so like I can't play pickleball right now. 00:03:48 Speaker 5: So we were talking yesterday about what it was gonna be. 00:03:52 Speaker 4: And you know, people always talk about having hobbies, but Ryan, there aren't that many hobbies right Like, there's just like, what are they? 00:04:00 Speaker 3: What do you do? Billy said, gardening. 00:04:02 Speaker 4: I can't imagine a worse thing to do, like to go out and try to plant a fly. 00:04:07 Speaker 3: You don't, no, I just. 00:04:09 Speaker 6: What tales plants would be done in a week. 00:04:12 Speaker 3: You know, I've told you the story about Hilarry. 00:04:13 Speaker 4: One time started growing tomatoes in his wheelbarrow and it took like six months and he ended up with three tomatoes and he was so happy, And I thought, how patient do you have to be to spend six months moving a wheelbarrow around so it's in the sun to get But he was the fruit of his lab. But it was three of them, and like, I think that's a patience level. 00:04:36 Speaker 5: I don't it. So then it was suggested Ryan that I maybe should learn to cook. 00:04:43 Speaker 3: It's a great idea, something that we all should take part of. 00:04:47 Speaker 4: I am for this idea. I feel like that's something I could get behind. Yes, you know, putting some some oil there you go, it could start paprika. 00:04:58 Speaker 3: Here it goes slow down in a spice tray. 00:05:02 Speaker 5: Right. I can't. 00:05:04 Speaker 6: I can't see it. 00:05:05 Speaker 3: I felt like I could. But here's the problem. 00:05:07 Speaker 4: I don't even know the most basic thing about cooking, like literally anything. The only thing I've ever done is the George Foreman grille and I've put rice. 00:05:21 Speaker 6: On the George. 00:05:23 Speaker 3: On the George. Those are the only things I've ever done. So I said, I'd like to take a class. 00:05:32 Speaker 4: But is there a class or someone that could teach you from the beginning. 00:05:38 Speaker 3: I'm sure there is somewhere. 00:05:39 Speaker 4: Well, I look last night, couldn't find any. There are classes, but it's like they say, in all of them, we assume you know what a cup is. We assume a basic level of cooking. Okay, so that now I'm stuck, Shannon, Nobody else would do this right, Like if they were doing driving classes, they wouldn't be like, well, we assume you can already drive a car. 00:06:02 Speaker 3: This is how to drive really good. So what do I do? Cooking? 00:06:07 Speaker 4: I think could be the one thing that would make me like not think about Elon Musk and all that. I could just do that. But how am I gonna learn? 00:06:15 Speaker 2: Here's the thing you love to read, So get cooking for dummies that started from. 00:06:20 Speaker 3: The very beginning. 00:06:21 Speaker 4: What I know will happened though, I'll be reading a book and I'll be like, this is boring. I want to read something I like, I do know me, I need to go somewhere, stand with someone and do it. 00:06:35 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:06:35 Speaker 3: I think cooking is definitely a hands on thing you want somebody to kind of got. 00:06:39 Speaker 4: Bill was like, well, I went to a specialized pasta cooking class, but I would walk in there and go where do we get pasta? 00:06:46 Speaker 3: Well, they would probably maybe start from the beginning with you. 00:06:51 Speaker 4: Do they start from the beginning though, or do they already assume you know how to make pasta? 00:06:54 Speaker 3: I think there's probably, like you said, some skills they probably assume you already know. I don't have those. Yeah, So how what do I do? 00:07:01 Speaker 5: Like? 00:07:02 Speaker 3: How? 00:07:03 Speaker 6: How lo are we like? Boiling water? Do you even know how to do that? Blowing water? 00:07:07 Speaker 3: Water? 00:07:07 Speaker 6: Do you know even how to? 00:07:09 Speaker 5: But yeah, I think I could boil? 00:07:11 Speaker 6: How many things are on your lazy, Susan? 00:07:14 Speaker 5: I don't know what a lazy. 00:07:17 Speaker 6: That you're spinning? 00:07:18 Speaker 2: Uh like a like a turnstile. 00:07:22 Speaker 4: I'm not making not Let me say I do have My mom bought me all the cooking equipment so for like Christmas, that was my my gift as I got so I have I think I don't know if I have a wondering Susan, but I do have like all the stuff. 00:07:38 Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna ask you that I'm not making fun. Yes, you are ahead, It's fine. I'll make fun of you if I ask you to make me some toast? Could you make toast? I mean yes to shut up, Mario. 00:07:48 Speaker 5: Nobody asked you to laugh. 00:07:50 Speaker 6: We're just trying to learn our ground floor. 00:07:52 Speaker 3: He was over there, laughing like he knows how to cook. 00:07:54 Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Well, what's the most like impressive thing you can make? 00:07:58 Speaker 6: Right now? 00:07:58 Speaker 2: Let's not gage your. 00:08:01 Speaker 5: Okay? So yeah, but that's. 00:08:05 Speaker 2: Better than toast. 00:08:06 Speaker 3: I can do toast. I make a grilled cheese sandwich. 00:08:08 Speaker 5: Probably not. 00:08:10 Speaker 3: You're halfway there though. If you make the toast, no you don't. 00:08:13 Speaker 5: You put it on the frying pans. 00:08:14 Speaker 3: Yeah, just put it, get your toast, put the cheese in the middle. 00:08:18 Speaker 4: And so here's the thing, like, I know this sounds. I understand how dumb this sounds. Okay, I'm I'm not I get it. Let's take a grilled cheese sandwich. I know you put it in something so that it'll like not stick. 00:08:34 Speaker 3: But I don't know what to get do you? What kind of oil? Do you? 00:08:38 Speaker 5: Just? 00:08:38 Speaker 3: You get a can of spray butter you can spray your paint with. I don't know what that is. So you use spray butter. 00:08:46 Speaker 4: Huh Okay, So see, someone would need to tell me about that and show me how to do it. 00:08:51 Speaker 3: I think once you do it one time, then you're gonna know now forever. But who is going to be the person who doesn't? 00:08:57 Speaker 5: Now? My mom just texted me and raised her hand. 00:09:00 Speaker 4: And I love you, Mom, But I don't think that's the way She'll get frustrated at me, right, and I'll probably get frustrated her, And I don't think that's I think she's good to then teach me once I know stuff, how to like make the things she makes. 00:09:17 Speaker 5: The thing that would be when to use her. 00:09:19 Speaker 3: But just for the basis, So. 00:09:21 Speaker 5: Let's say. 00:09:24 Speaker 6: Love of your Life Bailey from the concert says, I want you to cook me a meal. 00:09:30 Speaker 4: But I'd like to be able to do that. I'd like to be able to you know, my friends are all the age that they have kids and they you know, so when I go see them at their house, it's always a circus, you know, like everybody, it's always a circus. There's people every and I think it would be nice if I could go and say, I'll cook. 00:09:49 Speaker 3: You all a meal. That would be awesome. 00:09:53 Speaker 4: Now I just go bring them chs bar and I think they're appreciative, but it's not like it's not as much of a you. 00:10:00 Speaker 3: Know, I'm glad you're kind of taking this initiative that you do want to learn how to cook a little bit so you can kind of take care of yourself and I. 00:10:07 Speaker 4: Can take care of myself, okay, like you act like I'm out on the street wandering around like there are restaurants and now they deliver things to your house, so I can take care of myself. The only time I feel it is like Christmas night if I'm back from my parents and like nothing's open. 00:10:30 Speaker 3: Like that. Those are the nights or when, to be quite frank with you, when COVID start. 00:10:34 Speaker 4: Yes, those first few days after Covides, I literally was like, am I going to start? 00:10:42 Speaker 3: What am I gonna do? 00:10:43 Speaker 4: This is gonna be kind of fun to watch you evolve, But there has to be somewhere you can learn. So if there is somewhere in Lexington or someone who, I will pay you American. 00:10:54 Speaker 6: Dollars to use it. 00:10:55 Speaker 3: Drew Franklin, you know Matthew Mitchell's wife Jenna used to do some teaching Classic cooking class. 00:11:00 Speaker 6: It's right the Coaches Show. They would cook every morning. 00:11:02 Speaker 4: I probably want to know Coaches Show and learn how to It could be a fun video of Mario We can Mario, Mario can come. I'm glad to be the butt of everybody's joke. Look, I get that there are things I can't do. There are things that I know better than most people. But also, I mean, I don't know how to hunt. 00:11:22 Speaker 5: I don't know how to fish. 00:11:24 Speaker 4: I really don't know how to do any of the skills that if the purge were to happen. 00:11:29 Speaker 3: If you one of the first ones to go, if it's. 00:11:32 Speaker 4: Like when I see people and they're like buying food to put in their like bunker. 00:11:39 Speaker 3: Yeah, my view is if that happens, I'm out. I'm out already. I'm the first one. 00:11:46 Speaker 4: Drew gone, right, nothing's in your bunker. I have no marketable skills at all. When you know, if if it really was a purge, I just it was not. 00:11:58 Speaker 5: I had a good run. 00:12:00 Speaker 6: But when the apocalypse comes, we'll have you ready to at least make. 00:12:02 Speaker 4: It listen when the apocalypse comes. If they don't need a radio host, I'm out. 00:12:08 Speaker 3: Well, I think eventually, when there's a Missus Jones, you're gonna romancer and you want to. 00:12:13 Speaker 5: Okay, but that's another thing. 00:12:15 Speaker 4: If I get married, I don't want to be like, all right, you gotta cook everything. 00:12:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know how to do that. I'd like to be able to contribute correct Yeah, you know so. I applaud you for wanting to do this much that you're trying. 00:12:27 Speaker 6: To better yourself, but you still haven't told me what to do. 00:12:29 Speaker 3: You should start with the grill. It's hard to screw up grilling. 00:12:32 Speaker 6: It really is. 00:12:33 Speaker 3: Well, I don't have a grill. 00:12:34 Speaker 7: Well, we can get you one. 00:12:36 Speaker 3: Like you're talking about an outside grill. Yeah, yeah, like burgers. I should not know how to use it before I go buy it. You just turn it on, man. 00:12:43 Speaker 2: You turn on a pro paine tank and click on a couple of buttons and you're good. 00:12:46 Speaker 5: I don't have any pro paane tanks. 00:12:48 Speaker 3: See me, Shanna, Where do I get propane tank? 00:12:51 Speaker 5: Exactly? Shannon. 00:12:52 Speaker 3: If you don't find me someone to teach you, you're going to get all. 00:12:54 Speaker 5: These phone calls anyway. Yeah, I know, all right. 00:12:58 Speaker 3: Eighty seven just heard me. The journey begins. 00:13:01 Speaker 5: The journey begins. 00:13:02 Speaker 4: Text machine is seven seven two seven seventy four five two five four. John Caliperry had his first game at Arkansas. He is and Mark Stoops had some interesting admissions last night on his Coaches Show. I actually thought Mark Stoops's Coaches Show was very open in a way that I don't think a lot of people paid attention to. And we will talk about both of those things. Right for this, it's kiss are. 00:13:28 Speaker 5: All right? So people are sending suggestions. I like this. 00:13:32 Speaker 3: Apparently there's a TV show called how to Boil Water. No, there's not. That's a good place for you to start. 00:13:39 Speaker 4: On YouTube, okay, and the premise is to start for like, that's better than trying to read it. But I still think I have to go somewhere because if I if I think, if I don't go, I won't do it. Apparently there's a place in Lexington something with Millie's. 00:13:54 Speaker 5: Do you know what that is? 00:13:55 Speaker 3: I do not know what that is? 00:13:56 Speaker 5: Cook with Millie. 00:13:57 Speaker 4: Millie sounds like the kind of person Shennon that would be with right when it says it's a group class and I don't want to be mocked in. 00:14:05 Speaker 5: Front of everybody. 00:14:06 Speaker 6: You can assume everyone else there is a beginner too. 00:14:09 Speaker 2: If they have classes for beginners, Yeah, you do, like a private chef who's going to teach you their trade. 00:14:14 Speaker 3: I do, and I would actually do that and somebody's got a lot of patience. 00:14:18 Speaker 4: One person goes, Mario should film you learning in a home economics class in a local high school. 00:14:24 Speaker 3: No. 00:14:25 Speaker 4: No, I suggested that I'm not going to. I'm not going to like dunbar and going. Okay, do they even do homeck anymore? That's not a thing they do? 00:14:35 Speaker 5: Due? 00:14:36 Speaker 3: Is it not that I'm aware of em? Do they do shop? No? They did that when I was in the industrial arts shop and then home ack. Now the cities school do the rural schools still? 00:14:46 Speaker 5: Do they shop? 00:14:48 Speaker 4: I mean, I know they are like technical things people teaching high school where you go learn trades and stuff, which I actually think is a really productive thing. But they literally have like a wood carving thing in schools where you can go shop. 00:14:58 Speaker 5: Okay, I thought they'd stop doing it. 00:15:00 Speaker 6: That's wherebody went to smoke cigarettes when I was. 00:15:01 Speaker 5: In high school school. 00:15:04 Speaker 3: The whole school was a smoking zone. 00:15:06 Speaker 5: When I was in high school. 00:15:07 Speaker 3: With the teachers and joined the teachers. 00:15:09 Speaker 4: Smoked with the cigarettes they actually bought it for and they all hung in smoke. 00:15:15 Speaker 6: Do you have a fire extinguisher? 00:15:18 Speaker 5: I do know. 00:15:19 Speaker 3: I have a fire alarm. 00:15:21 Speaker 5: I don't know if I have an extinguisher. 00:15:23 Speaker 6: We'll start there. We'll get you one of those just in case. 00:15:25 Speaker 3: I use my fire extinguishers in the last month, had on my grill. 00:15:30 Speaker 6: Yeah, you used your fire like all the white stuff. 00:15:32 Speaker 2: Yeah, so your house almost burned down again? 00:15:35 Speaker 3: Well, just on my grill. That's a lot of fire problems. Yeah. Yeah, we know you can't throw water on a grease fire. So I went in and got my sea. 00:15:43 Speaker 5: I wouldn't have known that. Yeah, it makes it worse. 00:15:46 Speaker 3: Yeah, you close the lid. I did, It was coming out the side. 00:15:49 Speaker 6: Is that bad? 00:15:50 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:15:50 Speaker 6: All right? 00:15:51 Speaker 4: Right, well, pour guys, is your house like completely fixed from the last time? 00:15:55 Speaker 3: I think so? Yeah, I think we're okay? 00:15:57 Speaker 5: You think so? Or do you know? So? 00:15:59 Speaker 3: I think it's ninety nine good? 00:16:02 Speaker 6: Okay? 00:16:02 Speaker 2: All right? 00:16:05 Speaker 4: So Mark Stoops he does the Coaches Show last night, and I thought he had two things that were interesting. 00:16:12 Speaker 3: Number one, he said that he would like to. 00:16:15 Speaker 6: See Cutter Bowlie play more. 00:16:18 Speaker 5: Which I thought was interesting. 00:16:20 Speaker 4: But also there was a part of me that said, Drew, aren't you the one that decides whether or not he plays. 00:16:27 Speaker 3: I remember Cal used. 00:16:28 Speaker 5: To do that too. 00:16:29 Speaker 4: He'd be like, man, I really want to see more of Jordan Burke's and I'm like, I feel like that's on you, like you like you're the one that gets to decide. 00:16:35 Speaker 6: That one with him that always got me is like, man, we should really play Chris Livson at the four and then like would never do it, but he would say it weekly. 00:16:41 Speaker 4: But you go ahead and do it. Yeah, nothing stopping you. So it does sound like though, when they play Murray. 00:16:46 Speaker 5: In a week and a half, we may get to see Cutter Bowie. 00:16:48 Speaker 6: Yeah, they've been alluding to that a little bit. I think even Bush Hampton might have said something post game. I think we're gonna get the Bowlie experience against Murray. Sounds like bros Right might be out. 00:16:59 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:16:59 Speaker 6: Stoops would really comment on it, but it didn't. Doesn't sound like we're gonna see him on Somebody. 00:17:03 Speaker 4: Sent me a list, by the way, of all the quarterbacks that have started a game during the Stoops era, and it's a lot of names that you wouldn't think about, like like, just take a guess, can you can you name? I don't have all of them in front of me, so I made can you name the quarterbacks that have started a game in the in the mark started a game not just played started again. 00:17:24 Speaker 3: Well wait, let's go backwards. Brock Vander Griff okay, Devin Leary okay, Will Levis all. 00:17:30 Speaker 4: Right, But there were others in that even in those saw Smith all saw your Smith? 00:17:36 Speaker 6: Who started? 00:17:37 Speaker 5: Kayas Charon started again? Who else? 00:17:40 Speaker 3: Lynn Bowden? 00:17:41 Speaker 5: Good call? 00:17:43 Speaker 3: I'm Terry Wilson, Steven Johnson. 00:17:45 Speaker 4: Correct, Drew Barker, Drew Barker, Max Smith, Max Smith, Patrick Toles? 00:17:50 Speaker 3: Okay, who is the dude that started against Austin. 00:17:54 Speaker 4: P See, this is the one, the one you get, this is the one you're not gonna get. This is the one that's really hard. Wait, Shannon, do you remember the guy that started against right he started a game against Wlow, started a lot of games, started. 00:18:12 Speaker 5: Almost an entire season. 00:18:14 Speaker 6: He actually was the offenser for a while. 00:18:16 Speaker 5: Yes. 00:18:17 Speaker 4: So with all of that said, uh, I think now this is not like you know, we people know we have in the past had interactions and conversations with the Cutter Bowley family. I want to be clear this is not from them, okay, because I'm not putting that on them, but I've heard people say they're a little concerned about Cutter deciding this day. 00:18:39 Speaker 5: And when I heard this news. 00:18:41 Speaker 4: I thought, this is like, they've got to find a way to make sure Cutter Bowley stays uh in the program. 00:18:48 Speaker 3: You got to win that game Saturday, and I don't want to to start with the Luke Wright experience where he started him. Then they had to bring Stephen Johnson in to save the game. 00:18:55 Speaker 5: I mean we're down ten to nothing against the worst team in Division two. 00:18:58 Speaker 4: I mean they had to bring the rest of them, a lot of people, they were resting a lot, and then we ended up having to bring him back. But yeah, but I do think they they so you think they would start Gavin and then go to Cutter Bowling. 00:19:10 Speaker 3: That's what Start Gavin, get a good lead, get the game into control, and then maybe let Cutter play, hopefully maybe out the whole second half. 00:19:17 Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm hoping to see a lot of Cutter, just so you know what you have, you know, I mean, if he plays well and you feel good about him sticking around, you know what you have. If it doesn't look good, you know, you might have to shop around without having Brock. I mean, I'm sure Whims it will play a lot, but I'm more excited to see what you have a Cutter. I mean, they put him in a bad spot. The Kanesville having not warmed up pretty unfair to him. And you didn't want to try him in Knoxville in an atmosphere like that, But at home against Murray, I think it's a good time to see what you have. 00:19:42 Speaker 5: Uh. 00:19:42 Speaker 4: He didn later said, and I thought this was very reflective by him. He said, since in Ale has started, I have not done a very good job. 00:19:52 Speaker 3: Wow. 00:19:53 Speaker 5: He basically said that. 00:19:54 Speaker 4: He said, since Inile have started, he doesn't think he's done a good enough job. 00:19:59 Speaker 5: Maybe he didn't say very good job, he said good enough job. 00:20:01 Speaker 4: But there was definitely a moment of self reflection of in the Annile era, this hasn't been as good as it should be. I found that an interesting thing to kind of admit on the show What About You. 00:20:14 Speaker 3: I think he's done a great job getting these people to invest in Kentucky football. 00:20:19 Speaker 4: But I think he means on the field like he's basically I mean, and let's be real, they've been seven and six or six and seven, seven and six, and we're gonna be four to eight this year, probably maybe five and maybe five and seven. 00:20:34 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:20:34 Speaker 6: I didn't take it as much as getting the money as it is internally, maybe coaching guys that are now getting money, he's having a hard time just. 00:20:41 Speaker 4: Get No, he wasn't saying I didn't do enough to get the money. He was clearly talking about coaching. Yeah, what do you I find that interesting? 00:20:50 Speaker 3: Coaches don't do that. 00:20:51 Speaker 4: I mean most coaches tendency is to be like I mean, they don't go as far as Mike Gundy going. You people don't have jobs that are criticizing me. But it's you don't see coaches sort of self refe like that. And I tend to think people do that kind of when they're at the end, right, they sort of self reflect and say, Okay, why why is this happening? 00:21:13 Speaker 5: I have to look in the mirror a little bit. Do you heard the comments? I mean, what do you think? 00:21:17 Speaker 6: Yeah, I took it the same way. I was kind of taking a back when he said it too. You, like I said, you don't really hear a coach just straight up and say I'm not doing a good enough job in certain areas. You didn't go in too much detail. He's big on I'm not giving y'all headlines this year. He said that several times, like I'm not saying anymore because you'll make it a headline. So he followed up with that, well, but it is gonna be I mean it was already a headline. 00:21:37 Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean everything's a headline. 00:21:39 Speaker 6: Like you're a coach at a major school, it's gonna be a head I also said something about talking to a player who was like, I would give the ni O money back to go back to the old way, which. 00:21:48 Speaker 5: What did he mean the old way though? 00:21:50 Speaker 6: Just not getting paid? 00:21:51 Speaker 4: I guess who's kind of I kind of wondered that too. 00:21:54 Speaker 3: No, but no player got there anyway. 00:21:56 Speaker 4: I'll give the money back if that really happened. 00:21:59 Speaker 6: If any he won't, we do it. The only player that would come to mind would be like Eli Cox, because he talks to him a lot. And I'm not saying I even believe it, but if someone would, I could see maybe it's gotta be somebody making like and somebody's been here a while. Yeah, that's why I look at him. He's a captain, he's on the offensive line that's been bad. But I mean maybe it's not him who knows. But Steves did say a player, but there is. 00:22:19 Speaker 4: A level that I mean, there's a level of the sort of nostalgia for the old days that I just go like stop. I mean, it's like me going, you know, all life was better before social media. Well maybe, but it ain't coming back, so you know, like we might as well. 00:22:31 Speaker 5: We got to figure out how to deal with it. 00:22:33 Speaker 4: But I just it was interesting to hear him talk last night because he did have sort of a wistful like I don't. 00:22:43 Speaker 5: Know, it was just it was I like this about Stoops. 00:22:47 Speaker 4: He's not one of these guys who when things are bad doesn't realize it. 00:22:52 Speaker 3: He doesn't really lash out. 00:22:54 Speaker 4: He just kind of it's almost like an eats adding And I felt like I was listening to that last night nine two acent. We'll take your calls. I'll give away tickets to the women's game as well. 00:23:05 Speaker 5: It's KSR. 00:23:09 Speaker 3: TJ. Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ. He'll make them pay Now. 00:23:14 Speaker 2: More of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. 00:23:17 Speaker 8: Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:18 Speaker 5: Working back in his Kentucky Sports Radio. 00:23:20 Speaker 3: I gotta tell what you just happened. Remember Shannity Sais would take one year off. Wait, wait, that's stop. I'm waiting to see the final. 00:23:27 Speaker 6: Results of the left, then the year the year clock still. 00:23:30 Speaker 4: I mean, the president's race is over, but there's still the Senate in the house. 00:23:33 Speaker 3: I want to see what it is. I want to know what world we're going in. What did he do? 00:23:37 Speaker 6: Right? 00:23:37 Speaker 4: I just said that there were four people There are four races in America where Trump won the state, but a Democrat was elected to the Senate. And I just wondered who the people are that vote Trump but then vote for the Democrat for Senate. I just don't know who those I just don't know. 00:23:54 Speaker 6: People like that, do you know. 00:23:56 Speaker 5: That's that's all I was asking. 00:23:58 Speaker 3: You're one year off last year. Well start shut up. I still have everybody to teach me to cook. 00:24:04 Speaker 5: Yet. 00:24:05 Speaker 3: Your friend Misty has volunteered. She has a lot of patience. I like Misty, but I need somebody who like the their job. 00:24:11 Speaker 4: Is to teach people to cook r like I. I appreciate the people who write me like I'll do it. That's very nice of you. But I need somebody who like, has done this before and knows how you know, Yeah what I mean? Yeah, Like, that's that's what That's what I'm That's what I'm saying. If I'm nine uh two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Who's up first? 00:24:29 Speaker 2: Grandma Sarah? 00:24:30 Speaker 5: Grandma Sarah? 00:24:31 Speaker 3: How are you? 00:24:32 Speaker 5: Sarah? I have a feeling I know what this is. 00:24:36 Speaker 9: You think I know? Okay, we're back to cooking. 00:24:38 Speaker 5: Okay. 00:24:39 Speaker 9: The thing that you need to do is go to someone just individual kitchen and just let learn about measuring cups, just the basic stuff, just one one. 00:24:52 Speaker 4: I feel like I can figure the measuring cups out once somebody shows me. 00:24:55 Speaker 5: Once, I feel like I'll be able to understand that. 00:24:58 Speaker 9: Well, okay, if you get all just the basic stuff like that, then when you go actually to a cooking school, you'll know what they're talking about on stuff. 00:25:06 Speaker 5: Okay. 00:25:07 Speaker 9: I mean it's very simple. Cooking is very simple. I mean you could if you know all of that questions, Sarah. 00:25:14 Speaker 4: Let me ask you a question, and if you and if the answer to this is is no, this is totally fine. 00:25:19 Speaker 3: But you have called this show for many years. You seem like a very sweet person. 00:25:23 Speaker 4: If I were to send Mario to your house and you made like a ten minute video of just teaching me the basics of cooking, would. 00:25:35 Speaker 3: You do that? 00:25:36 Speaker 9: Of course I'd do it. 00:25:38 Speaker 5: That would be Yeah, that would be good. 00:25:41 Speaker 4: You just do a video where you give me like the basics of what I would need to go to a cooking class. 00:25:47 Speaker 9: You would do that, yes, Now I live in Louisville's I mean, you can tell yourself. 00:25:53 Speaker 10: I don't care. 00:25:54 Speaker 3: That's okay, all right, I'll tell you what, Sarah. We'll look at scheduling and stuff. 00:25:58 Speaker 4: You you give your hang on and then give your contact information to Shannon. 00:26:03 Speaker 3: Okay, I will do that. 00:26:05 Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like that would be pretty good. 00:26:07 Speaker 3: I think that's a great way to start. 00:26:08 Speaker 4: I think that would be really good. You're kind of showing uh. And then we'll make it into like and then we can put it on YouTube. There and for people like me in the future, they'll always be able to learn what they need to know, just the basic. 00:26:22 Speaker 9: Well yeah, I mean, like I said, if you know the basic, you can take a recipe and you can make anything start off with simple stuff. 00:26:30 Speaker 5: There you go, all right, I appreciate it, sir, hang On and Shannon, we'll get your information. 00:26:34 Speaker 3: I think I will myself even watch the video because I think I would learn something. Also, Yes, Mario says he'll learn too. 00:26:40 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:26:40 Speaker 3: See, there's a lot of people like me. 00:26:42 Speaker 5: They just don't want to admit it. 00:26:44 Speaker 3: I think, I said, I just admire you wanting to get get the basics down and learn and start to learn how to cook. 00:26:49 Speaker 5: Cook. Yes, you start to learn how to work cook. Okay. 00:26:53 Speaker 3: The Bengals play the Ravens tonight. Big game for the Bengals. 00:26:56 Speaker 4: I think if they're gonna if they're gonna make the playoffs, they gotta probably find a way to win this game. They are six, six and a half point underdog. Where I have the game here at the bar. The Bengals watch party group will be here. You ought to come out on a Thursday night and see it. I was going to be here and then I remember and I gotta be on with coach tonight on ESPN. But there will be a good crew of folks here. What do you we think the Bengals have any chance in our draft King pick of the night. 00:27:23 Speaker 6: I think they'll cover the six point spread. Baltimore will win. You know, I'm not a Bengals fan, but I do feel bad that it's been such a disappointing year and they really need this. Were they four and five? I believe yes, And even though the Ravens They're my Super Bowl pick. I really hope the Bengals win. 00:27:37 Speaker 5: What about you? 00:27:40 Speaker 3: Lamar and Derrick Henry are They're the highlight show right now. It's like every game Derrick Henry scoring a touchdown and I throw up every time. And Lamar you can't ever count him out. I think Baltimore wins, th covers. 00:27:52 Speaker 4: I'm going an upset, are you. Cincinnati certainly covers, but maybe gets the victory. That's gonna be my Draft Kings pick of the night. And I'm gonna take the Bengals. You know they should have beat them? Was it in Cincinnati? Didn't they have them? And then they let him score there at the end. Yeah, mister Field, go or something. I think I'm gonna take Cincinnati. What about you? 00:28:12 Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go with the Ravens on this one. Lamar is hard to bet against, so Lamar's great. 00:28:17 Speaker 3: Yeah give me split. 00:28:19 Speaker 4: Yeah, well I'm the only one. Well, Drew and I are betting on the Bingles, but you can just cover. Yeah, who's up next? 00:28:24 Speaker 2: Misty? 00:28:25 Speaker 5: Misty? How are you? Missy? 00:28:28 Speaker 9: How are you? 00:28:29 Speaker 11: This is the first time since the other day that I have even smiled, So I would love to teach you how to cook, and teach you how to start with the basics, but you have to start at the grocery store and know. 00:28:43 Speaker 10: What to buy. 00:28:44 Speaker 11: So I would love to take you, Mario or whoever on a cooking journey with me. 00:28:49 Speaker 3: All right, well, Missy, let's you were the second caller, so let's see how Mario. 00:28:55 Speaker 5: Does on his video. 00:28:55 Speaker 4: They I know how to get in touch with you, so if we decide to do a second part art You've always been very nice to me, so I will make sure to contact you, and at some point I will certainly let you make show me how to make something. 00:29:11 Speaker 5: You give good sauce. 00:29:12 Speaker 4: She'll bring us sauce and stuff that's actually really what did you bring the other the last time you came, you brought something that. 00:29:18 Speaker 5: Was really good? 00:29:19 Speaker 6: What was she brought you a gift for your injury? 00:29:22 Speaker 5: What was it? Missy? 00:29:25 Speaker 11: I brought you kuntr hamm and made it gravy. 00:29:27 Speaker 5: It was Yes, that was very, very very good. 00:29:30 Speaker 3: But uh, but and when's your birthday? 00:29:33 Speaker 11: It's the twentieth, and see, I would be even more unhappy that that would be the greatest birthday present of all time to teach you how to cook. 00:29:40 Speaker 3: That's very nice. We we will get in touch with you, missy. Thank you very much. 00:29:45 Speaker 11: Alight, I love you all. 00:29:46 Speaker 5: Thank you. There you go. She's always been. 00:29:48 Speaker 3: She comes to a lot of the remotes, and she does bring us a lot of home good cookies. By the way, whoever it was in Louisville that brought me freeze dried skittlesh thin mints yeah, and nerd gummy cluster huh, thank you. 00:30:03 Speaker 4: And if you ever want to bring more, let me know. The thin mints were the best we ever had. Oh my goodness. That's like I'm not a huge ten mint person, but when they're freeze dried, stop. 00:30:13 Speaker 3: And I remember those people just did it as a hobby. They don't have a story that. 00:30:18 Speaker 5: Would pay. 00:30:19 Speaker 3: It's really really good. Who's neck? 00:30:22 Speaker 5: Shit? 00:30:22 Speaker 3: Bird? 00:30:23 Speaker 5: Bird? How are you bird? 00:30:26 Speaker 8: I'm doing good. 00:30:27 Speaker 10: Good to talk to y'all. Uh So, yesterday y'all were talking about bringing some stuff back from back in the day of UK stuff. Yes, the Power K needs to come back, really bad, the Power K. 00:30:37 Speaker 4: But we still basketball. People always talk about the Power K. That's a football thing, right, did. 00:30:42 Speaker 3: We do it? We didn't do it for basketball. No, we don't do it. 00:30:46 Speaker 10: For basketball, but for football. Imagine how cool would be for a throwback game with a white helmet with a blue power K. It'd be beautiful. The other thing we need is we need to bring back bring back grass field. There's no reason that us from the Very and Bandy are the only three I know, But we're the only three SEC teams with. 00:31:04 Speaker 7: Turf and es Yeah, is that right? 00:31:07 Speaker 4: Are we the only three teams with turf because we don't Vandy has turf turf. 00:31:12 Speaker 5: I don't know what we're the only three, but we have the other We have the hybrid thing. Are we the only ones that do that? 00:31:19 Speaker 3: I guess so I didn't know, but I know one of the reasons we do it here because the weather, you know, we get the we're the northernmost. That's the other thing. 00:31:25 Speaker 5: In the SEC, we. 00:31:26 Speaker 4: Our weather makes it to where you know, they're in the south, so they don't they don't get frozen land very much, and we do here. That's I mean, I think most the big ten teams have that hybrid surface, and I think that's why we we have what we have. 00:31:42 Speaker 10: We make so much money though that you know, we can afford it. We can afford it there's no way that we. 00:31:46 Speaker 5: Don't have. 00:31:48 Speaker 3: Afford to change the weather. 00:31:49 Speaker 5: The weather is what the what it is. 00:31:52 Speaker 10: If lambeau Field can have grass, we. 00:31:54 Speaker 3: Can have grass. 00:31:55 Speaker 5: I appreciate the call. I mean, that's that's maybe that's true. 00:31:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, you remember those games in November where the field would just be tore up and we had grass, and I think they wanted to get away from that. 00:32:05 Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I do think there's a way. I mean, if you think about it, Lambeoufield does it. But Lambeoufield sometimes will be in awful shape in games because of that. 00:32:14 Speaker 6: Yeah, And even if you think it's a good idea that they put the turf in like a year ago new turf, so it's not we're not doing grass anytime soon. 00:32:20 Speaker 3: Let man, do you think we'll ever bring the tongue back? 00:32:24 Speaker 6: I'm trying the hardest. I have several people. 00:32:26 Speaker 5: I mean though, like I'm not even kidding. 00:32:28 Speaker 4: Do you think we'll ever like its like now you're starting to see the coaches families wearing the tongue, Like there's starting to be more and more tongue going on. 00:32:37 Speaker 6: Do you do you want to put the tongue back? 00:32:40 Speaker 4: They're starting to Yeah, starting to get starting to use the tongue more. It's starting to be a little more tonguey. Do you do you think we'll ever ever do that in this day and age of social media? I don't know how we could. I don't know how he could do it because it would be all over the place overnight. But isn't that the point, Like, if you wanted to get good publicity, wouldn't be at the point for it to be all over for the place. 00:33:00 Speaker 3: Well, when you're in western Kentucky, you do the googly eyes on the helmet, that's one thing. But they show a phallic tongue. I think, is it's something different, but it would be a It's a subtle phallic tongue. It's not like it's it's not like it's just phallic. I know what it is when I see it. 00:33:14 Speaker 5: So you so you you don't think that? 00:33:16 Speaker 3: I vote knoww do you think? 00:33:17 Speaker 5: Which? Oh? 00:33:17 Speaker 3: So you wouldn't do it even if you could? 00:33:19 Speaker 2: No? 00:33:20 Speaker 3: Really that surprises me. Most immature person on this show. Why would you not do it? I'm thinking of Kentucky's reputation. Is what reputation that you don't want a phallic tongue? On your reputation. We're too good for phallic tongue. Yes, we're too good for phallic tongues. I say you bring it back, Yeah, bring it back? Why not, Drew? Why not? 00:33:42 Speaker 6: I mean, are you wanting to do like a grand reveal? 00:33:44 Speaker 8: No? 00:33:44 Speaker 3: No, no, I don't there's a I don't hear like. 00:33:47 Speaker 4: I don't think they bring Mitch Barnhardt and el like Cappoluto out and go look at this tongue, everybody. 00:33:53 Speaker 3: I think, you just do something and it's there, boy, look at it. 00:33:56 Speaker 6: It's I think we start with dinner. 00:33:58 Speaker 4: But okay, but look that existed for years and nobody noticed, right that that existed for years and nobody cared, and then somebody was like, oh that looks like uh, you. 00:34:10 Speaker 3: Know, and so now we can't do it. 00:34:12 Speaker 4: But like if they just had a game where that was just out there and they didn't tell anybody that would go. 00:34:17 Speaker 3: Out there right that it, don't publicize it, just maybe be on something, on a warm up shirt or something. 00:34:23 Speaker 4: Expecting Eli hook Capaluo to walk out with just that tongue on his shirt. 00:34:28 Speaker 5: So that would be fun. 00:34:30 Speaker 6: You want like a Fallac night. 00:34:31 Speaker 5: I don't want a Fallac night. 00:34:33 Speaker 2: You need a hoodie with just UK tongues all over it. 00:34:36 Speaker 5: You act like I don't have one. I just don't bring it out. 00:34:39 Speaker 3: The official credit Union the University. 00:34:41 Speaker 4: Of Kentucky is UK Federal Credit Union serves UK since nineteen thirty seven and supports the educational opportunity UH for the state, from student to graduate to employee. 00:34:51 Speaker 5: UK Federal Credit Union is here for you. And UK Federal Credit Union in Nicholsville listened to this. 00:34:56 Speaker 4: You earned two hundred dollars for you and one hundred dollars for your choice of a local charity if. 00:35:01 Speaker 5: You open a new checking account. 00:35:02 Speaker 4: So you go open a new checking account, they give you two hundred dollars in theory and then they give one hundred dollars to a charity. 00:35:08 Speaker 3: That's pretty cool. It's pretty nice. Yes, So it's UK Federal Credit Union UKFCU dot org, federally insured by n c UA. 00:35:16 Speaker 4: We'll take a break talk about what happened down in Fayetteville last night. Col was the Calist of all cows and we'll play it right after this. Welcome back Techy Sports Radio. All right, so UH Arkansas played last night. Y'all can act like you didn't watch. You watched. At least a lot of you did, maybe not all of you. I watched, especially when I saw it was like a five point game. Yeah, with like eight minutes to go. I was like, well, you gotta turn it on. Let's give some some compliments. Z look good? 00:35:48 Speaker 3: Does he actually looked good the Z we thought we'd see all year last year? 00:35:52 Speaker 4: Yeah? Z, actually he looked stronger. Their crowd was okay, not great, I will say, Drew. There was a lot of into the game, hold on to it, go one on one, hope it works. Uh Lipscomb. Lipscomb had open looks, they just didn't make them. But what I want to talk about is the postgame press conference, because you know the the Mark Pope post postgame press conferences I think are becoming must listen to. 00:36:24 Speaker 5: You agree with that. 00:36:26 Speaker 4: I think they're really good. A guy, Now, this was an Arkansas fan, Shannon that did this. This was not a Kentucky fan. This was an Arkansas fan that took his postgame press conference and took all these different clips and made it into like a minute video. 00:36:42 Speaker 3: Have you all heard this? 00:36:44 Speaker 4: I just want you to close your eyes and act like this is two or three years ago, and you're going to recognize all of this. This is all from last night into postgame press conference. 00:36:55 Speaker 3: How about this thought? 00:36:57 Speaker 6: Make a three? 00:37:00 Speaker 8: It takes me on every time we make a mistake. 00:37:02 Speaker 6: No, I don't. CBS is covering the game. 00:37:07 Speaker 3: Kick threes. 00:37:10 Speaker 8: But because the guy wants, I'm gonna start this, uh give it to Jimmy, he has to come back. 00:37:18 Speaker 5: No he doesn't. 00:37:20 Speaker 8: I have not watched that game. 00:37:22 Speaker 5: It's too late. I was in bed. 00:37:25 Speaker 3: What why would you do that? 00:37:28 Speaker 8: And as you get older, it really so they called a time out, so you have no questions now. 00:37:43 Speaker 5: That I just waiting for you stop talking. 00:37:48 Speaker 3: Block that ball? How about that statement? There you go? 00:37:55 Speaker 5: I mean how much were. 00:37:57 Speaker 4: Oh my good, he's still playing the greatest like he's going he's Steve Miller playing the Joker thirty years later. 00:38:04 Speaker 6: It took me back in time. I want to know who said we're waiting for you to stop talking. 00:38:08 Speaker 4: Well, apparently Arkansas has their own like Jerry Tipton that's been doing but that's his name, Yeah, that's his name. 00:38:16 Speaker 6: He's a legend. 00:38:17 Speaker 3: And apparently he was the one that said we're waiting. 00:38:19 Speaker 5: We're waiting for you to stop talking. 00:38:21 Speaker 3: That's my favorite part of the whole cliff was that how about that? And then saying he was in bed, Like it's like I didn't watch that game. It's too late. 00:38:29 Speaker 5: I was in bed. 00:38:29 Speaker 3: He was in bed, like you know, It's just it is so perfectly him. 00:38:34 Speaker 6: Yeah, and a lot of like half they'll be like, well Justin did that. 00:38:38 Speaker 3: But then and it's like wow, two three you see that? 00:38:45 Speaker 5: See what he did? 00:38:46 Speaker 3: Wow? At least he did the postgame press conference. He did. He did. 00:38:51 Speaker 4: He's one for five in press conferences. Yeah, who's up next, Paul? 00:38:56 Speaker 5: How are you? 00:38:56 Speaker 3: Paul? 00:39:00 Speaker 7: What's going on? Matt had a couple of comments, one on Cutter Bowley and one on a comment you made about Aaron Bradshaw on the pre show. But first of all, we're not gonna have to worry about it because the world must be coming in. If I heard you right, are you going to try coming over to the dark side? Did I hear that right this morning? 00:39:15 Speaker 8: No? 00:39:16 Speaker 5: You did not. I'm not playing picks. 00:39:18 Speaker 3: No, No, there's no scenario where I'm gonna play pick a ball. Just really, it's really out of spike. 00:39:24 Speaker 7: I know, the cutter buwlly thing I called the pre show that they I see no reason in the world why he won't get some snap, not a few snaps, a lot. The cutter bully can't compete with Murray State. I just you know, I don't know about that. And then on the another night after the game, I think you made a comment that you were surprised that Aaron Bradshaw didn't start at Ohio State. I looked at blox score. 00:39:49 Speaker 3: He did start, but. 00:39:50 Speaker 7: His numbers were very less than impressive. And I don't quite understand why that would be a shock if he did not, because I thought he was probably the biggest disappointment of the year last year. And I don't hang up. 00:40:00 Speaker 4: I thought he was too, But there's a difference between being a disappointment at Kentucky and a disappointment at Ohio State. And I just assumed when he got to Ohio State he would find his you know, his hit, sort of find his level, you know, I mean, I I appreciate the call. I watched that game last night. You know there were a lot of period I mean, DJ Wagner played most of it, but there was parts where Thierro and Z were out. I guess just with Bradshaw especially I mean, remember that was a dude. 00:40:28 Speaker 3: Was he ranked in high school? He was top ten. I just assumed he would go there so he could get more shots. 00:40:34 Speaker 4: And and I thought he didn't start. Maybe he did, but he didn't. He certainly didn't do a lot. And that's the first game. 00:40:40 Speaker 3: And we'll play him in New York and maybe he'll go off on us. 00:40:42 Speaker 5: We'll see. 00:40:42 Speaker 3: That's like I said, his first game, you know, these just getting started. Let him probably settle in a little bit, because I think he could be a really good player for him. 00:40:49 Speaker 6: Yeah, and here at Kentucky he was injured until one decider, right, Yeah, so I mean he was pretty far behind when he started. Uh, that was holding back. I would root for him too. I do real bad form. Last year, a lot of people were trying to say he'd never play like a shade and sharp situation and that was never the case. That wasn't fair to He was a good teammate and doing all the right things. 00:41:08 Speaker 5: He just hurt. Yeah, who's up next, Peggy, Peggy? How are you? Peggy? 00:41:13 Speaker 12: Good morning, I'm good. A couple of suggestions on your cooking. After you make your video with Grandma Sarah and you meet with whoever it was Marcia to go to the grocery. Yeah, I suggest that you go to your local extension office and see if they had someone that does private cooking lessons. And then after you get a grill, meet with beef producers and see if they have private cooking lessons on the grill. 00:41:46 Speaker 3: Well, I uh yeah, I mean I I will look into that, Peggy, not bad ideas. 00:41:51 Speaker 4: I appreciate the call. I'm just hoping there's some There has to be some person, like a chef who does this. You can't be the only person who doesn't know how to cook. 00:42:01 Speaker 3: No, Yeah, teaching for beginners, yes, I think that's got to be out there, she mentioned, Maybe not you, Linda would teach you how to grill, you know, come out there and do they have the cows like they just they I don't know if they cook there. They might, I don't know, she said to maybe some beef producers do. Men. 00:42:16 Speaker 4: Well, here's the thing, I'm gonna make it a go. Yeah, after the NCAA tournament, I'm gonna cook all of you a meeting. 00:42:23 Speaker 3: Nice. 00:42:23 Speaker 4: Not the listeners, just the people that are on this show. Okay, all right, how's that ship? April Oh, that's gonna be so great. We'll take a break right back.
