I think you forgot because you remember, probably high because it's four twenty now, I'll tell you this. I was just talking to Comno off there before we get to four twenty. There's a there's a house a few like a block away from me that is such. It's Cavino style, like everything Vino style, but Cavino gets paid in meatballs. I have a child support, so I don't know if I can afford. Would it be Would it be typical or weird if Cavino and I lived the block from each other? 00:03:00 Speaker 4: Typical? 00:03:01 Speaker 1: Hey buddy, what's going on? Richard? Be like Kimmy Gibbler mixed with Kramer. Hey Tannerinos, that's just the annoying. It only makes sense if after twenty years we live across the street from each other, all right, so it is for twenty what comes to one without even think about it athlete celebrity. When I say marijuana weed, I think hot currently Yankees fan, by the way, I think can I think Ricky who works here. Look who he gave me during commercial week, A big g gian Carlos Stanton Primary Pieces baseball card with the uniform in there. You see that nice of hops Primary Pieces? What are you doing for him? Ain't that sweet? He's like, dude, I saw this ahead at my collection wanted to give it to the number one Yankee fan. That's right, thank you, Ricky. But speaking of the Yankees, Cody Bellinger just because he always looks and you know, as a Dodgers guy, he just always looks blazed. I mean they do whatever term you us test for weed in baseball do. He just there's something about how he looks, and I don't think there's any denying that that dude parties like. 00:04:06 Speaker 2: It always looks like he's staring into the future. Yeah, and his eyes are glazed over. 00:04:11 Speaker 1: I mean it's speculatory here. I have no proof that he's high, but he looks high, so I'm throwing him in the conversation. But I think the aneg took one of the top answers already. Mike Tyson is definitely one of the top three in sports because you have the Mike bides and he's smoking. He was on this show here on Fox Sports Radio smoking and we have it's one of our favorite clips. He was there smoking the whole time. One of my biggest regrets. It probably wouldn't have been professional. But when we were over at ESPN doing our TV show before we came over here to our best gig ever, Fox Sports, we went to Tyson's ranch for an in person interview and sat down on a couch with him. Before the interview happened, They're like, yeah, Mike's in his office yet, but Rich thought he was selling salad dressing my ranch drafting guy. Welcome Tyson's Ranch. Tyson's Ranch. I so badly wish we would have been like, hey, Mike, you want to smoke together? Like I feel like that's a bucket list item that you know. I'm not a pothead or anything like. I was so nervous and awkward during that interview though. But there's a part of me. That's like, you know, if you're not opposed to it, what a better story than if I was like out with Mike Tyson, Like he could snap at any moment or get real emotional. It could get really awkward. 00:05:26 Speaker 2: Rich at the super Bowl and this was away from work. We gave you a small cup of Uncle Arnie's. Yeah, and you were walking in circles. Was a dinner with you guys at the confused and was lost? Did we ever talk about that on the air on your Patreon? You guys did on the air. I think we mentioned it, but we didn't go into details, which we got to today's rare. 00:05:49 Speaker 1: Form that day. Just put it that way. And it was off hours and it was that night, and it was out of contrain. He was like so ridiculous to deal with that night. Danny G's like, hey man, you want a little of this, And I called Uncle Arnie. You poorted the tiniest little cup of it. I'm like, oh, just an old swig it give me a mellow out a little bit, yo. I was like mad Dog Russo and he has one of his gummies. We bumped into all of our coworkers that night, and I remember seeing Stu Gotts and I was like, I know, I'm just mean you dude, but I'm not one hundred percent there right now. And I remember him being like, either my door. 00:06:22 Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, it's a fancy it's a fancy restaurant. And Stu got shouts across the room. Hey, Rich Davis is hi. 00:06:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, And Rich was bringing up the most random things, putting me on the spot in front of management. It was the weirdest night. Well part of you guys, Well, so. 00:06:37 Speaker 2: You smoking with Mike Tyson? No, especially if there were microphones around. 00:06:41 Speaker 1: Guy, run the path to the left. That would be an awkward situation. But Rich is right in a sense of what a story and what a bragging right right. So in the world of sports, Ricky Williams number one for me, only because over the Tyson before the zone for it well because back in the day there was more of a stigma with weed. Ricky Williams essentially chose the marijuana lifestyle overplaying in the National Football League, which is the most moronic thing. I mean, like, listen, you could like drinking, you like an old fashioned some whiskey. You could be a beer guy. Marijuana is legal most places. It to me, is just another option. The fact that you would choose that over something he played so hard for his whole life. I always said it was wild. I'm like, man, you like your weed that much? 00:07:26 Speaker 4: He turned it into a business, just like Mike did. 00:07:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. But I mean like at the time, I remember thinking, like, what was this guy in his mind? 00:07:33 Speaker 5: How about people don't realize this, but you can put your weed in there? 00:07:37 Speaker 1: That's funny. How about this? And it takes on different meaning when I say the jail blazers because these dudes were blazes. Did you watch that? 00:07:45 Speaker 4: The entire city? 00:07:48 Speaker 1: They were ripped jail blazers, trail blazers. But Rashid Wallace especially like so proud of his like weed. 00:07:54 Speaker 2: Stories and the Fundam the Pacific Northwest Turn and on. All three of those guys, including bonnsy Wells, and you could see it in that untold documentary. But Rashid Wallace was just all of them were very open. That's what made the documentary so fun. 00:08:10 Speaker 1: But Statamaier story that I don't remember was them raiding his house. 00:08:16 Speaker 4: He wasn't there, they claim. 00:08:18 Speaker 1: We hear bits and pieces and we remember what we want to remember, right Rich the story goes that he went home and someone broke into his house. Yeah, so they go and investigate who broke into his house, and they found all this weed and that's how he got into trouble. 00:08:32 Speaker 4: They claimed that. 00:08:33 Speaker 2: They claim his alarm went off, so they had to go there to see that everything was okay. But while they were in the house, they like unscrew like a vent and found marijuana behind it. And he's in his lawyer of course, got that thrown out, but the damage was done. 00:08:48 Speaker 1: Yah, the headlines were out there. They had a reputation, and that's out right now, so if you haven't seen it yet. By the way, I also watched that lamar Odom documentary. Another guy you told me that was a said it was pretty sad. Yeah, but very real and very both of these on Netflix, very good to watch. They're out right now Netflix. Untold jail Blazers and the story of them and their partying ways, and yeah, they have to be brought up in this conversation, but that was a wild story and I didn't know all the details, you know, looking back of how that went down. Now as far as athletes and celebrities that you think of when I say all right, Hey, it's four twenty. Who's that ston that comes to minds? What about a guy that won more gold medals in pretty much anyone in the history of the Olympics, Michael Phelps. The guy's got an illustrious career, and there's a photo of him and a bong and everyone starts losing their minds. Does it make them swim any better? 00:09:42 Speaker 2: Well, if you bring up him and his bong, then you got to bring up Laramie Tunseil, remember speaking of the NFL draft. 00:09:47 Speaker 1: Yes, what about Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant a big advocate for big time marijuana in the National Biga Association. You could see him. You could just picture him smoking up and responding to tweets and just going back and forth with people on the phone on social media. Are there any leagues anymore professionally that have marijuana rules compared to others, because I know some are like totally lax is there are there any sports left that are like hardcore rules against marijuana. 00:10:24 Speaker 6: Don't try to consume marijuana and Russia I just say that, right, Britney Grinder can tell you that, No, that's not the We're talking about women's basketball Russia, but there are certainly countries that do not. 00:10:34 Speaker 1: Don't smoke weed if you're gonna play women's basketball in Russia. Yes, I was a good rule to live by, yea, unless you want to be behind bars. 00:10:42 Speaker 6: Michael Phelpstough like, did the guy smoke an entire eighth with one bond rip because his lung capacity was so great? 00:10:48 Speaker 1: He'd be like, let's all gone now. Colin Canada hits us up on the YouTube chat again. We're streaming live. It is four twenty, so you know stoner athletes, Colin says rob on Kowski, not that he's a stoner, but he could be the way he had but he would be fun to party with for sure. In that way Google, it'll look it up. He's a big advocate for CBDs and marijuana for for body recovery, so you know he he brings the laughers. As Rich says on our Patreon show we do an Unleashed, Uncensored in Personal podcast Monday through Thursday Patreon dot com. Slash Covino and Rich Rich asked me, who are the top you know aside from sports? He's like, is it Willie Nelson? Snoop Dog? You said, Martha Stewart right. I mean, I didn't say her, but I know people will bring her up. I said, is it still Willie Nelson the dog? Are are those the like cheaching Chong's your dad's. 00:11:43 Speaker 4: Answer method man? 00:11:44 Speaker 1: You know we brought up half baked method Man. Great answer, Dave Chappelle, Let me get Let me give a Covino story. Remind me who it was in the nineties. You were late nineties, early two thousands. You were working at K Rock in New York, and you said a rock star went to hang you a joint in front of your boss and you had to say, no, who was it again? My boss looked at me. I looked at the dude like and I went back and forth, and I was like, I got a choice. If I take this, I know it's gonna be held against me, especially back then. 00:12:14 Speaker 4: They filmed a Dare commercial out of that. 00:12:16 Speaker 1: Yeah, and he looked right at me like, without saying no, he basically was like, you better not do that. You're working under my clock. It was ever Last, Everlast. It was like, yo, he's like hit this and I was like wow, and I was I liked ever Last. Weddy Ford sang the Blues House of pain, and I you know, as a kid, I'm like, this is a cool moment, and I had to deny it because my boss was right there. Yeah, true story. So who else comes to mind? And who else are we shouting out? And you wanted to tell us the origins of four twenty? Sethrog seth Rogen, Yeah, I mean he's not in that Hollywood scene, right, He's Hollywood scene for sure. But what was the origin of four twenty? So I don't know where. I don't know where San Raphael is, Danny g is that up north near where you are? San Rafel was Bay Area, Bay area north of San Francisco, right. There were a group of high school kids in the early seventies, nineteen seventy one that would meet after school at four twenty and that was their code for we're going to go get high together. And somehow someway, that little local legend spread around the northern California where it is like for twenty, like that means you meet up with your you know, your burnout buddies. Back then they call them burnouts, right in nineteen seventies, Yeah, burnouts, And that was the origins And for some reason four twenty has taken on that meeting ever since, based on a couple high school kids a silly code. So hey, if that's your world, celebrate, enjoy respectfully, responsible, responsibily. Time Danny brought up, a lot of athletes have went down that road as far as oh yeah, mariluana. For so long, it wasn't something that was spoken about openly, especially in the world of sports, right, so we can only assume, Yeah, we can only assume based on what we thought, what we saw, and then in today's world, what they're putting out there. But let me let me ask you a question, because you and I have had this conversation before in twenty twenty six, I know we have a national audience, which is this is a great place to ask this question. I rich believe that when you have a friend that takes edibles or smokes or has like one of those edible drinks, that to me is in the same exact category as someone having a beer, a seltzer, a bottle of wine, a whiskey, sour old fashion. Out here in California they say they're California sober. That just means they don't drink, but they're you know, smoking. But you having something but you, to me still think of it a little more old school like Cavino's like I would never be high in front of someone, but you, like you, rocks me in a different way. But I'm saying, I can't even drive like that. But do you think Danny in twenty twenty six high and drunk are the same category. I think they. I think into it when it comes to driving, yes, but you should you should be driving. You should be driving regardless. I'm saying, like reputation wise, when it hits you, sometimes it hits you like way hard. I should not be in public any any I'll give you an example. If I have people over my house for a fight night, Let's say when Tyson Fury, Anthony joshuall finally get it on, or we're watching UFC or Sunday Football fun day at my place. I think there's a difference because, and again it's how we've come up right. These are new conversations, newer conversations. Rich like talks about this with our colleagues, and he talks about this with like his kids, friends, parents and stuff like that. To me, it's not like talking about let's go have a beer. Rich will be like let's smoke a blunt. I'd never spoke a blunt with your kids, never smoke a blunt. But when I, like Cavino, thinks it's weird, I go to my garage and I'll open the fridge when I have people read and I'll say kids, friends, parents, and I'll say, all right, we have Seltzer's, we have beer, we have wine, we have champagne. In the top shelf, there's some weed drinks, so be careful if you're not used to it. And Kevino's like, I can't believe you say that, Bro. I don't cross those lines with with colleagues, not on people I barely know. But what's crossing a line because it's there's still there's nothing wrong with it's legal, But what's crossing a line of like you're getting high with your friend's parents, with your kids, your kids friends parents. 00:16:21 Speaker 2: I think it was just drilled into your head, Caveno, from when we from our youth, growing up, the same way our parents scared us about sex. 00:16:27 Speaker 1: Probably, But I'm saying, like, if I was still bigma to it, even though it's it's fine, if I was, Sam comes over my house and takes an edible gummy and we sit in my backyard by the fire pit and have a nice talk. Is that you think that's different than if he had like three whiskeys. Yes, in my in my mind, how the interesting because I think I think he's going to get way more out of his sorts. Sam is like me, He's doing something as opposed to having a little bit of a buzz with alcohol. And if it just hits you different, hits me different. So from my own personal experience, it might not hit Sam the same way. But you're gonna notice the difference of me having a cocktail versus having one of these weat drinks. You're gonna notice the difference. It's a definite different high. But I'll tell you what I don't feel if I have like some of those wheat drinks, I never feel hungover or terrible. 00:17:19 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:17:19 Speaker 1: And by the way, if I go you go here in Los Angeles. Yeah, if I go with you guys out for a little work dinner and we go to a steakhouse and I have like two or three moscow mules on the way back to the hotel, I'm already feeling like, oh, I'm gonna feel like ass in the morning. Jamian Boston says Rich is trying to justify him taking edibles. It's not the same. My cousin's wife can't even function after she has edibles. Meanwhile, I could have ten beers you wouldn't even notice. But like I said, it does. That's my point. 00:17:44 Speaker 4: Everybody's different. 00:17:45 Speaker 1: It hits you. 00:17:45 Speaker 6: Yeah, everybody is saying of different levels of tolerance too. 00:17:48 Speaker 1: I'm just saying Sam in twenty twenty six, covinos make it seem like I'm like, I'm talking about like heavy drugs, Like no. His example is when I have like a party of my house, Coach Rich, how do you do we have to ignore that those are CBD recovery drinks and he's like handing out we drinks to parents. I think that's strange. And I'm not saying it's illegal. I'm saying there's lines you don't want. So what's seems normal out here? What's different? So the other day my daughter had like to keep my glass. My daughter had her end of the year flag football party with the parents and the kids. Right one of the dad broke out a high end bottle of tequila and he's like, hey, all the parents, great season, let's do a shot, and all the parents that are shot hits me nowhere near You tell me that's okay for you, nowhere near the same for me. Like Danny said, it hits everybody different. 00:18:40 Speaker 4: That would hit me. 00:18:41 Speaker 1: You remember in the movie We Have Faked when they start floating out into the New York sky. You want me to act like that with people I don't know, get out of my face. I could do a few shots. 00:18:49 Speaker 2: I's tolerance because that that alcohol would affect me more than taking a puff of something from somebody. 00:18:55 Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. It just hits everybody different. So that's why I have that perspective. I don't frown, I'm not it. I'll have a drink with you. 00:19:01 Speaker 2: I just think nowadays, Coveno, in the court of public opinion, it's it's it's okay, it's fine. 00:19:07 Speaker 4: It's changed so much because twenty years ago, Rich. 00:19:10 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, twenty years ago. The biggest difference I joke about twenty years ago, the two biggest differences in society were that gambling was considered Oh my god, what what are you crazy? Now they'll never be a team in Las Vegas. But like twenty years ago, we thought that gambling was the devil. Now everything sponsored by our good friends at DraftKings and other companies, right then. Also, you smoke weed when you some type of delinquent. Yeah, but just because things are legal doesn't mean they're good for you. I'm just saying I think in moderation, alcohol's worse for you. What's up in moderation? 00:19:45 Speaker 7: Can I tell you My problem with the marijuana is and I think like if we go back thirty years ago, when when just smoking cigarettes was normal, people were smoking I want to say everywhere. But now I feel like if someone goes and has a cigarette, they like go to their designated area because it's banned in spots, but they're also they also recognize what it means for other people. I don't get that with marijuana smoke. So when we were in San Francisco, Oh, you know, it smelled too much like we everywhere. I don't smoke. 00:20:14 Speaker 1: I only do edible forms of things and interesting Lefty b The cigarette thing is funny. A couple of the guys on my softball team smoke cigarettes, and I always joke with them, like, did you guys not look at the memo? In the nineties or something like that. Still smoking cigarettes. You're grow man, you're smoking cigarettes. 00:20:28 Speaker 7: But I feel like now people like understand that there's this nobody wants to smell like cigarette smoke. Of course, I don't think that the same courtesies are taken when people are smoking marijuana wherever. This may have been a point to my former neighbors, but hey, hopefully they listen. 00:20:47 Speaker 4: They're listening well. 00:20:48 Speaker 1: By the way, I saw a lot of Tracy McGrady and Penny Hardaway looking stone. We don't know if they were stone. Sean Bushy, says Troy Aikman always looks baked, and he also it's like the White Jays A yeah, but well again, allegedly, we don't know. We're just saying, Denny, any quick phone calls and we'll move on. We'll play a Last one standing. You want to we gotta go, okay, they. 00:21:10 Speaker 4: Gotta get any contestants, right. 00:21:11 Speaker 1: Denny, g's I got a time clock, Yeah, got okay, we got to move the show eight, seven to seven, nine to nine on Fox. Oh my god, the whole thing is afromn see. It is such an old edit. They edited it in some cities. Yo. Can I say this though? And Rich and I remember this clearly. Unfortunately not to be a buzzkill on four twenty, but this song was the biggest song going on all radio platforms when it came out. I worked in rock radio, Rich worked in pop radio. Danny g I'm sure they played it on hip hop radio on Your Come Up and then unfortunately nine to eleven happened and that song went bye bye. That was the truth. Any fun music went off the radio playlists and it took his career off track and took the world off track. But another song that was affected, because I remember it was huge at the time was Drowning Pull Bodies. It was huge in rock radio. Because of sensitivity reasons, we had to take it off. Covino, You're gonna be a first starting right now. 00:26:08 Speaker 1: Go Aaron Judge, yep, number five, Rich Polar Bear, Pete Alonzo. 00:26:14 Speaker 8: He is on the list, second in the league. Buyer cal Raley, cal Rawley's on the list. Third, Blake, Freddy Freeman, Freddy Freeman not on the list. 00:26:27 Speaker 4: Oh, we're taking the top twenty three. By the way, Covino. 00:26:30 Speaker 8: Show Hey, oh tiny, yes, Shoi fourteenth Umble is nice, Rich Akunya jr uh Ronald Acuna Junior not on this all right, Buyer, Oh, Manny Machado, Manny Machado, twentieth ninety five, RBIs Covina. 00:26:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, it was Tatis on the list or was he heard too much? I forget Tatis, is my answer. 00:26:57 Speaker 8: Fernando Tatis Junior not on the list. 00:27:00 Speaker 2: Fire wins that round like that. Yeah, some of the names we missed there. 00:27:06 Speaker 8: Number one on the list was Kyle Schwarber Swarby, yes, rounding out the top five. Au Heno Suarez was fourthby didn't get a Cody Bellinger's on the list. 00:27:20 Speaker 1: I'm the worst. 00:27:21 Speaker 8: No, no Wan Soto mentioned either. 00:27:23 Speaker 1: But yes, all right, you know what it is, can I I'm not trying to pull a rich Davis and justify here true story. When I was watching the World Baseball Classic, I was so impressed by how all these ego driven Dominican players all bowed down to Tatis. All of them think they're the best, but they all say Tatis is the best. So he's always on my mind when it comes to that. That sounds like a Rich Davis rush. Now, no, but were you aware that even the Wan Sotos of the world are like Tatis is the guy no white. 00:27:49 Speaker 4: Could be he? All right, we moved to the second category. 00:27:52 Speaker 1: I'm embarrassed what I think I forgot a coon? 00:27:54 Speaker 4: You was heard him? 00:27:56 Speaker 1: You know what You're onto the next year? 00:27:57 Speaker 2: You forget something you might have been nineteen twenty five on the s all right, dB on the board. We moved to the second category. It's called the Finals fourteen. You have five seconds to name an NBA team who has the most NBA Finals appearances of all time, most NBA Final appearances of all time. Blake, You're going to be up first, starting right now, Go easy, Lakers. 00:28:19 Speaker 8: Lakers are number one, thirty two Finals. 00:28:22 Speaker 4: Buyer Celtics. 00:28:23 Speaker 8: Celtics are number two with twenty three Rich. 00:28:26 Speaker 1: The Warriors. The Warriors are third with twelve. Coveno took the top three. Go Bulls. 00:28:32 Speaker 8: The Bulls are eighth and six. 00:28:34 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the top fourteen. By the way, four more titles. Blake, back to you three two one. 00:28:46 Speaker 4: Bull Oh sorry. 00:28:48 Speaker 8: Buyer seventy six Ers seventy sixers are fourth on the list with nine Rich. 00:28:55 Speaker 1: Pistons. 00:28:56 Speaker 8: The Pistons are sixth with seven. 00:28:58 Speaker 4: Coveno three two one. 00:29:06 Speaker 1: Clipper Clippers Clippers point zero. It's called I was thinking anything. I was like all right. 00:29:15 Speaker 4: Buyer the Heat. 00:29:17 Speaker 8: The Heat are sixth with seven Rich. The Spurs the Spurs are eight. 00:29:25 Speaker 4: One back back to Buyer. Knicks. 00:29:28 Speaker 8: The Knicks are fifth with eight Rich. 00:29:33 Speaker 4: Three two. 00:29:36 Speaker 8: The Nets The nets are not on the TV sweeps. 00:29:42 Speaker 1: The boards wow Son, But the Bucks aren't on this? Are the Bucks aren't? 00:29:48 Speaker 4: That is Dan Byer's forty fourth victory in this game. 00:29:51 Speaker 1: I'm thinking, but they haven't been so long. The cab Cabs are. 00:29:57 Speaker 8: Finals. 00:29:57 Speaker 1: Oh that's right. 00:29:58 Speaker 4: All those losses in a Warriors more recently the Thunder did they make that? 00:30:03 Speaker 8: The Thunder did? 00:30:04 Speaker 4: Yeah? 00:30:04 Speaker 5: Oh? Wow? 00:30:06 Speaker 1: Three or four? 00:30:06 Speaker 4: That would include the. 00:30:07 Speaker 1: Sonics, right yeah? Oh, the Sonics lost a couple and then the Wow. 00:30:13 Speaker 4: Any other teams we didn't mention. 00:30:15 Speaker 1: Let's see. 00:30:16 Speaker 8: Type for twelfth is the Hawks, the Rockets, and the Wizards. 00:30:19 Speaker 1: You know, I was gonna say the Rockets, but I thought that wasn't enough. 00:30:21 Speaker 4: Yeah, and Blake said bullets. 00:30:23 Speaker 2: He got in there late though, Blake, we appreciate you listening and playing the game there in Arkansas. 00:30:27 Speaker 4: I love you guys, man. 00:30:29 Speaker 5: I parted listening y'all on Dan Patrick and y'all are awesome. 00:30:32 Speaker 7: Man. 00:30:32 Speaker 3: I really do love you guys. 00:30:33 Speaker 1: Thank you. Man. You know what it is, Blake, you pulled the Frank kellyand though you know what that means. You found this on you found this on DP and you're like, Yeah, these guys aren't half bad, and you like us now, so thank you. They're all bad, buddy, But that's how Frank Kellyando is Like I heard you guys from DP. Thanks and I should of like you. All right, thanks Blake Man. That game is frustrating, so frustrating. I hate he spurs and I want to bang my head. I hate every question. The RB question bothered me the most. Danny good questions when they bother me, that means a great question, great, great great stuff. Last one's standing. We do it every Monday, which means tomorrow is it the return by popular demand Big Poppy, Big Poppy will be here Broke Poppy tomorrow, another Dominican superstar. And it's asking base is it baseball trivia or baseball trivia? Baseball trivia tomorrow for some prizes here on the Cavino and Rich Show. All right, you know, we talked first hour a lot about the Mets, and honestly, I don't know if there's ever been more of a quote short thing on paper than the Mets beating the Twins tomorrow, to the point where like, if the metsicals, how can that be a short thing when they've won eleven in a row. But what I'm saying is Mathematically, I'm sure there's been a more short thing mathematic I wouldn't put my money on the Mets. I'm saying odds wives and mathematically, yeah, they've lost eleven in a row. They're playing it's not like they're playing of Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The Mets go home game one of a homestand so that's more pressure on game one of a homestand the joy of being home, the joy or pressure of being you have Nolan McLain, a top five pitcher in the NL on the hill versus the worst picture on the Twins in a game that there's gonna be, like you said, pressure, but a by the way, he's throwing straight WIF foot balls out there, So yeah, the dude's got movement. He's he's got some great potential, but his team behind him stinks and you can't win if you don't score runs. So we'll see. I'm just standing against your Mets. But I'll tell you what this losing streak has has me tuned in, gives me. You know, I'm watching Mets games down just to see what happens. Well, you watch for the wrong reason. It's just to see just to see out of curiosity, Like it's not that I'm rooting against him at all, just like to see if they're going to pull out of this or what. And uh, I'm not mad at him because he won. I'm not trying to steal one of his updates stories. But former met now Dodger Dodger fans, you know, dB if you want to start your update, curious your thoughts about Edwin Diaz, Well, I. 00:33:04 Speaker 7: Don't have any thoughts, but I can tell you that Edwin Diaz is on the fifteen day I l because of some loose bodies in his elbow. 00:33:11 Speaker 1: But they are isn't there? Further reports held on one second only because he could miss up to three months with this. So Danny g Edwin Diaz, your big acquisition from the metsis. 00:33:25 Speaker 4: He also could not miss three months? Just so yeah, just no, I mean he could. 00:33:31 Speaker 1: Our boss just said, as somebody goes down, you know, Dodgers closed, Edwin Desilated time to go that surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow. The expectation is he'll miss somewhere in the neighborhood of three months. 00:33:42 Speaker 2: And that's one week spot for the Dodgers because Blake Trining is also struggling a little bit. 00:33:46 Speaker 8: So. 00:33:46 Speaker 1: I mean the Dodgers, who you know every year they're gonna they're gonna win the World Series likely, but you know, you lose your closer. That's not fun. It's not fun. They'll be fine that what are they? Fifteen and six, fifteen. 00:33:57 Speaker 4: To five, seventeen and six. 00:34:00 Speaker 8: Don too good? 00:34:01 Speaker 1: I hate him anyway? dB? What else is doing? 00:34:03 Speaker 7: Red Sox top the Tigers earlier today on Patriots Day at Fenway Park, winning by a score of eight to six. Tonight in the NBA three game twos Raptors in Cavs seven Eastern Hawks and Nix eight o'clock Eastern time, tim Wolves and Nuggets ten thirty Eastern Time in their game to deep bruise in his knee for Kevin Durant of the Rockets suffered it last week at practice, according to ESPN, but the Rockets are optimistic that he plays in tomorrow's game in Los Angeles against the Lakers. 00:34:29 Speaker 1: Two time defending. 00:34:30 Speaker 7: French Open champion Carlos Alcarez told the TV outlet in Spain he's doubtful to play in this year's French Open, the event taking place next month in Paris, Alcarez had to withdraw him this week's Madrid Open because of the injury. The NFL network says the Rams and quarterback Matthew Stafford are close to terms on a contract extension, as Stafford had one year left on his deal. Rams wide receiver Pukin Nakua present for the start of OTAs he had entered a rehab facility in Malibu, California earlier. This offseason. ESPNS has free agent quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo considering considering retirement after twelve seasons in the league. Forty nine Ers gave left tackle Trent Williams a two year extension with fifty million dollars. Thirty seven million of that is guaranteed. Cowboys made kicker Brandon Aubrey the highest paid kicker in the NFL, on a deal that pays him seven million dollars annually. He gets a four year, twenty eight million dollar extension, twenty million of that guaranteed. Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior had to work out with the Giants. Former Raiders onbacker Rod Martin passed away at the age of seventy two, and in college hoops, you con guard solo Ball gonna miss all of next season. He needs surgery on his wrist, so he'll red shirt next year and then rejoin the Huskies the following year. 00:35:39 Speaker 1: Guys, back to you rooting for KD to play, because I mean, that might be the last time we see Katie and Lebron going at it. Danny's fine within nothlane. Yeah, I know, I know, but you know it would be cool to see them battling. 00:35:55 Speaker 2: There's rumors that KD and Steph and Lebron may want to get to y either one last time before they all sing their farewell song. 00:36:03 Speaker 1: Would that ever work? You know, if it was gonna work, maybe it would be the time to give them right. They've tried that before. And if the. 00:36:09 Speaker 2: Warriors break up the posse and Steve Kerr doesn't return, we've seen crazier things. 00:36:14 Speaker 4: By the way, Rich, really quick, you were right. 00:36:15 Speaker 2: Fifteen wins for the Dodgers i'ven't seen in six I was giving them a couple of wins from the Giants coming up this shit? 00:36:20 Speaker 1: You no oddly enough? 00:36:21 Speaker 4: Let me give you. 00:36:22 Speaker 1: Let me give you a fun fact about the Dodgers. They lead the league, They lead the National League in runs scored, they're tied with a team who has also given up the most runs. What National League team do you think leads the league in scoring but also leads the league in runs given up? You'll never guess it. You want me to tell you tell me. The Washington Nationals have scored the exact amount of runs of the Dodgers. So they're putting up numbers, but they by far given up the most runs. So they've scored one hundred and twenty one runs, tied with the Dodgers. Meanwhile, like good teams like the Dodgers and Braves have given up sixty seventy runs, the Nationals so far have given up one hundred and thirty four runs. So high eras in the DC area. So all right, we got more Convine on Rich having fun on a Monday right here on Fox Sports Radio. When production levels change, you need workforce that flexus to match. I'm going to tell you right now, they turn around the next two weeks. It's gonna be a magical season. Off the air, Danny g was like, man, if three won like five in a row, they could really turn it around. 00:39:06 Speaker 4: They need to streak like and then Rich wouldn't have to talk about him on the air. 00:39:11 Speaker 8: Yeah. 00:39:11 Speaker 1: You know what, though, it's a big, big story. I'm saying, here's the thing. But everything for Rich has been coming back to the Mets. It's it's so true. And we're, you know, coming off some great NBA this weekend, some big games tonight, but the Mets losing eleven in a row. Honestly, even for me, I'm not a Mets fan, it's just. 00:39:30 Speaker 2: Is paffling to me. It really is like, Wow, Rich, would you rather watch NBA? Playoff game tuesdanight, or your Mets lose their twelve. 00:39:37 Speaker 1: In a row tomorrow. Nolan McLain on the hill against the Twins. Worst starter to me, that's all Mets. But tonight, I'm gonna watch some NBA Mets are off today. Mets can't lose today, guys. Yeah, there you go. 00:39:49 Speaker 4: Enjoy your Monday's only way. 00:39:51 Speaker 1: Mets can't lose today. And by the way, what's even more odd than the Mets not being able to figure it out with this roster is Michael Jordan's inability to celebrate the right way. We're talking about the greatest argument, the greatest athlete and sports icon of our lifetime. You don't choke people in celebration. I mean, by the time we have a good show, I go up to Iowa Sam and I choke him to dead. Give him a little Bart Simpson. Yeah, I just only want when he really like brings the fun. I don't think either one's a big deal, but it's just funny how Michael Jordan two times one he's shaking ice out of a kid's pants or back, and everyone's like, what is he doing now? It did look strange, look weird. Realized what was going on. Yeah, so it was it was that was weird. And now he puts his hands around uh Tyler Rick Reddick's neck and everyone's like, what is he doing? Listen, Michael Jordan. I guess when you're Michael Jordan, you just do whatever you want and you don't care what people say. We need to focus on number one. He's winning and he continues to be a winner, right, no matter what he does. But because it's Michael Jordan, of course he's going to be criticized, and you know everything he does, every move he makes, is going to be noticed and and we're gonna make note of it. And it's odd like not only does he grab him by the neck, but he like kisses his head and it's like, is it the biggest deal in the world. No, But because it's Michael Jordan, it is. Are you saying that when someone I'll give you an example, Cavino hates when like a big Italian dude, it's an alpha move. Cavino hates some like a big Italian dude takes his big hand and puts it on the back of your neck, like hey, you meat hooks or you know what, like big fat Italian guys like to do like grab you, bite the cheek or something. Get away. You believe this guy get away? Kay? Yeah? And he grab you bite the cheek and like, get off me, you big sausage finger bunch of loop. I don't like that behavior. And Michael Jordan really did alpha the moment by putting his hand on his neck, Like if someone does to me, like I would feel really uncomfortable with that, like think you're better than me, I would feel that way. It's weird. Yeah, I know Covino saying that there's something very alpha and Machies mobile put your hands off, Like I'm setting the tone that I'm I'm the alpha dog in the room. I'm like, and he is he and he's so probably used to being it. I don't think it's intentional. That's just who he is. But it looks odd when the other guy's winning, like get your hands off his neck. I think most people would be Okay, get your mitos, get your damn hands off her. You write that hand behind the next thing. It's like a weird, controlling celebration. But hey, Michael Jordan continues to be a winner. People will get to criticize that have a great Monday night. 00:42:26 Speaker 2: Enjoy your NBA Raptors, Hawks, Knicks, Timberwolves, Nuggets. 00:42:31 Speaker 1: Definitely watching the next night. Definitely gonna watch the Nicks as well. So hey, we're on the same page. We'll see you guys Manyana. Until then, Arriva there, chie baby, see you in the promise. Goodbye, Let's have a great week. 00:42:41 Speaker 4: Let's go
