This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to the WWE podcast show,
the one that everybody wants me God tell you that. Stern three sixteen said
us, your ass is my You're gonna acknowledge me. Welcome everybody to the
WWE podcast mail Bag. It is Wednesday, January tenth, twenty twenty four.
I'm doing this a little bit earlier than normal, and it's because I
am flying out early tomorrow morning. I don't have time tonight to do the
mail bag. So if I don't get to your email because you sent it
after let's say I'm doing this around noon Eastern time on Wednesday. If you

on excuse me at some point over the next week. Okay, if I
didn't get to your email, then I will absolutely get to it at some
point. Now, again, i'll be away out of the country, so
I won't be able to probably do the Sunday night we can review because that's
when I'm returning and it's gonna be late at night, so I don't know
if I'll have time to record on Sunday night. I might repost something or
do a very very quick show from my hotel room. So I just wanted
to let you know that, and I will do my best. It's gonna
be a little bit of a weird rocky next several days until I return and
things she get back in the saddle on Monday. Okay, so I'll do
my best. But this is the mail bag. We're gonna get through as
many emails as we can here and then we'll call it a rap. And
you know, if you want to participate, email us at mailbag at ww
podcast dot com. A couple things quickly. Number one, if you want
to go add free. I know many of you have done that on Apple
Podcasts lately, Great Place, or on Spotify or sorry, on Spreaker.

the subscribe or the supporter side of Spreaker. And lastly, you can of
course support us on Patreon. That's a fan favorite is Patreon, so check
us out there now. Last night I did a great show with Chrissy brand
New, co host of the show. She did an excellent job, I
think, and I thought we had a lot of good, good conversation,
great chemistry. She just seems like a genuinely great person. And I really
encourage you to check out last night's Raw review that I did with her,
and I think you'll enjoy it. It's nice to hear a woman's voice on
the show. Is it not too too many guys here? We need a
little, we need a little, we need something to shake it up.
And Christy did a great job last night, so check that out if you
haven't already. All right, let's not waste any more time and get to
our first email. And that email actually is going to come to us from
Sharon. I know, Sharon, you have a voicemail, but let's let's
get to your email first. You say, in order to add juice to
the feud of Rock and Roman, they can bring the Rock's daughter Ava Rain
from NXT. Maybe she'll be in the bloodline and we'll do and they'll brainwash
her and the Rock's going to have to save her. Well, that's certainly
fun to think about bringing the Rock's daughter into the storyline. It personalizes it
even further with Rock Roman. The only thing is, I don't know if
it's needed. I mean, this storyline rights itself. I don't know if
we need to overcomplicate it with any other external factors other than just pride,
you know, positioning in the family, who's the true head of the table.
That's really kind of it, and that's all that's needed. But I
understand what you're saying, bringing in aver rain, maybe the Rockets Roman Reigns
gets personal and brings in aver rain. I'm not saying it's a bad idea
at all. I'm just thinking to myself, sometimes simpler is better. But
this is makes total sense to me. If WWE thinks they can present it
in a way that isn't overcomplicated and will detract from Rock Roman themselves, then
let's do it. But all right, sure, thank you, and again
we'll get to your voicemail shortly. Let's get to our next patron. And
by the way, guys, if you haven't noticed, patrons get priority on
the show. Here, let's get to if I can use my mouse,
let's get to Freeman and Freeman says Hi Matt, I wanted to say I
enjoyed your guests on the Raw review. I hope you get to hear more
from Chrissy. Yeah, me too. I think she'll be a guest whenever
she wants to be. Well, we'll have to, you know, see
where things go, but I'm optimistic that she will be hopefu a more regular
part of the show. I really enjoyed it as well. Onto wrestling,
first point, Kevin Owens getting new graphics on SmackDown kind of gave away who
was gonna win that match. Not everyone gets a third graphic, and now
that he has one, I'm one hundred percent certain he would go on to
not only win the US title from Logan Paul, but have a long rain
with it. Logan Paul's consistent insults about him seemed to cement this, as
they are setting him up for a fall. But my only other takeaway is
how bad uncommentary Logan Paul is and I hope we see him in the ring
moving forward. So, Kevin Owens winning the US title, I actually don't
think that's going to happen just because he gets a few graphics. I mean,
it could just be them shaking up Kevin Owens's feel overall look as optics,
it's not impossible, and I think him beating Logan Paul wouldn't anger anybody.
But Logan Paul right now is just getting his feet wet as champion.
He hasn't defended it once, which is hilarious. So we have yet another
app and champion on SmackDown. But I think this victory or the loss for
Paul is going to be wait, it's going to be for l A Night.
We're too close to WrestleMania. Heels going into WrestleMania as a rule of
thumb, but not exclusively, are usually a better story to tell, and
I think La Night after he loses on Sunday or Saturday on the Royal Rumble
in a couple of weeks, he's going to have to have some kind of
place to go to land that makes the fans not so angry. And I
think that that's going to be winning the US title from Logan Paul at the
at WrestleMania forty. But if Kevin Owens wins, I wouldn't hate it either.
But Logan Paul honestly, yeah, he's bad on commentary, which is
really weird. Considering he you know, has a very successful podcast and does
it for a living. It for somehow it has it translated to the commentary
table, and I think it's because he doesn't. He's trying to figure out
the balance between his character and how to kind of go off the cuff but
make sure he stays within the rules. He's trying to, you know,
kind of find his footing there. But it's really strange that he has a
podcast and he does that for part of his living, and yet he can't
figure out how to do commentary, you know, for everything else he can
do. All right after Raw on Monday, I'm sure Drew McIntyre listened to
the podcast for tips, given he used your phrase in the promo, Cody
and his Magical Political Powers. I heard that too, And honestly, I
mean, I will say this and this is a fact that Drew McIntyre is
aware of the podcast. I know for a fact he is, because you
listen to the open of the show and we got him through what's that app
called cameo and we you know, asked him to say that and give a
shout out to some of the hosts of the show. About a year and
a half to two years ago now, so he is absolutely aware of the
show, and it's very pot possible that he listens. I have no clue.
I'm not going to pretend that a lot of wrestlers listen to this.
I don't know. You never know who's listening to this. But I heard
that, and I'm like, whoa, hmm. Interesting. At the same
time, I do also wonder, you know, other podcasts are probably saying
the same thing. So it's fun to imagine. Though. Regarding Our Truth
and the Judgment Day, I love your idea turning the entire group babyface.
Preest breaks character and last every time Our Truth speaks, which makes him more
endearing. Rhea is already a babyface, and the others could be worked on.
I see a world where JD and Dom leave Judgment Day and go into
the tag team scene while the others with Our Truth turn into a babyface faction.
That being said, I don't want anything to change for some time as
I'm loving this program. Well, that's exactly right. I wouldn't change a
thing right now with Judgment Day. This dynamic with Judgment Day and Our Truth
is working incredibly well and is an incredibly entertaining part of my net raw right
now. So you're right, right now, I wouldn't touch it. Once
things start to feel like, okay, we've we've exhausted this version of our
truth and judgment day, let's move on. Then Sure you could turn the
entire group babyface. You could, but they're also really successful as heels right
now, so it's gonna have to go pretty far for me to be on
that train. But it also you know, when it comes to j D
and Tom leaving, it's also very possible that they do leave, and the
tag team scene always needs help. Rihea is a babyface, even if they
don't want to pretend she is. She is. Every time she comes out
she gets cheered. So yeah, but our truth, man, the guy
is a national treasurer, as I've said, just a brilliant human being and
he's got that it factor man, all right. Last, you keep saying
the Rock and Roman being a title match would be a bad idea, and
for the most part, I agree, But I can also think of it
a scenario where the Rock wins and takes the belt and it's a good thing.
Imagine the main event of WrestleMania, Rock pins Roman and as he leaves
the stage, he leaves the belt in the ring with sunglasses. He then
retires forever being the people's champ. Then they could do some kind of tournament
for the belts, but only return one of them, leaving the one,
leaving one of them on the Rock forever. Let me think about this.
I I so you're saying he'd win and then disappear, and I understand.
Here here's the thing, here's the only issue. Well, one of the
issues with it is that you're doing it all for the Rock to disappear and
leave. And also the Rock is the People's champion forever, even if that
doesn't happen, you know, like that's already how we view the Rock,
and how the Rock is already presented as the People's champion forever he is.
And it would also be like kind of a means to an end for what,
you know, the Rock winning. I'd only prescribe or subscribe to the
idea of the Rock beating Roman for the belt. If the Rock is going
to be here on a semi regular basis for at least six months, if
he wants to go on some kind of fun nostalgic run, like a Trish
Stratus kind of run, where he's there that often, then let's go.
Man. You're like, fine, actually don't that's cool. But the issue
is that we all know The Rock is more than likely not gonna do that,
and after the Monday Night Raw, after WrestleMania, he's gonna be disappeared
back into back in the Hollywood. We got our match and the game is
done and over with. So unless they're gonna pretend that the Rock is gonna
go on, and we're gonna pretend the Rock is gonna go on some kind
of several months run with the belt, I want nothing to do with it.
I understand what you're saying. That's a cool visual, but you're not.
No one's winning in that scenario. The Rock doesn't need any more help.
He's already the biggest star in the world. That's not an overstatement.
He's already the biggest star in the world. And now we're gonna give him
the belt to just leave it in the ring and say, ah, thanks,
but I'm done. Who does that help? That's my only problem.
Very cool scenario, I understand the meaning behind it, but the Rock needs
nothing. The Rock needs nothing, you know, like he's at the top
of the universe. So but him retiring is fine. If he loses in
wins and retires, then you know maybe, but the Rock usually when you're
on your way out, as is custom and and pro wrestling, you lose
on your way out to help the people that are still going to be there.
I mean, there were Austin did it against the Rock, you know,
current Angle did it against Barring Corbyn lol, Seawn Michaels or rather Rick
Flair did it against Shawn Michaels, And the list goes on. You know,
so I do. I mean Undertaker is a bit of an exception against
AJ styles, but it's more the rule than the exception. So good email,
though, Freeman, thank you. Okay, let's get to Badfish another
patron. He says, Happy New Year, w family and Badfish here.
Just wanted to say I'm super stoked to have Carrying Cross finally getting a push
with the faction and storyline. I thought he was one of the superstars.
They really dropped the ball on. What do you think would be some good
feuds for him? Well, eventually the Judgment Day, or rather Judgment Day
the bloodline could be one. I think Randy Orton could be another because in
all likelihood I don't think Randy Orton or any of the guys facing Roman reigns,
AJ Styles or Alley Knight are going to beat Roman rains. I think
Roman will retain. And they could have, you know, the Numbers Game
scenario being played, where Randy Orton gets in a program with them, Elle
Knight gets in a program with them, AJ Styles gets in a program with
them, or maybe any combination of them, and they're playing the Numbers Game
and trying to get to Carrying Cross and Randy gets beat down every week.
So you could do that, and I actually think it'd be fun. But
you could also have which is what they're doing right now, the Carrying Cross
and Bobby Lashley in Street Profits introductory program. That won't last forever, But
thanks Batfish. All right, where we're going? Dennis Dennis O'Brien says,
Hey, Matt and listeners, Happy New Year. It's been a while,
and I hope you're well. I can see MJF debuting in WWE, but
I don't see it happening anytime before the night after WrestleMania. With everything that's
going on in the WWE, it's a great time to be a fan,
even though I'm not a fan of AW. I feel lately it's becoming a
hard watch with a lot of their talent wanting to leave in backstage issues.
I hope they can get it together, and I agree with you, Tony
Kahn is a strange dude. Punk to win the Rumble and face Rollins at
Mania. WrestleMania forty is going to be epic. I have the feeling about
it. Thanks Matt Well. I want one thing I want to say about
the Rumble winner. If you had to ask me today, I'd confidently say
Cody Rhodes. And the reason is not just because it would get him back
to Roman, and I guess could do a triple threat with Cody Rock and
Roman at WrestleMania. You could, and Cody could win there. But Cody,
I think, is going to win the Rubble because if you NOTICEDWWE consistently
now for the past few weeks has been reminding us that Stone called Steve Austin's
the only one to win back to back Royal Rumbles, So Cody Rhodes could
be in a position to absolutely do that, and they keep reminding us that
that Austin did it, He's the only one to ever do it. So
they're trying to put Cody Roads potentially on the same level as Stone Cold Steve
Austin, which to me is laughable, But I understand what they're doing.
So they're trying to, you know, elevate what he does even further when
he does it at the Rumble. So if you notice that every week,
they keep pushing that. And as far as the MJF deal, look,
I hope he debuts in the Rumble. I would lose my mind if he
did. I don't think he will, though, I think there's maybe like
a ten percent chance on my mind that he does. But if he is
WWE bound. If he is, then I would agree that he should appear
at or directly after WrestleMania as one of the you know, the big returns
that typically happens around those those two nights. So I have no issue with
that either. You know, MJF and WWE is a fourgone conclusion. Anyone
that thinks differently, Anyone that thinks that MJF is an isn't eventually coming to
w WE is just fooling themselves. So thank you, Dennis. All right,
let's let's see wait here where we go. Let's go to Jason Miller,
who was in Oregon for Monday Neett Raw in Portland, and he says,
first off, it was so much fun and amazing to see the stars
in person. It's a three hour stunt show with the best in the world
performing at their peak. Got lots of TV time from our seats. That
was fun to see ourselves as well. I'll just throw some bullet points so
the email doesn't go too long. All right, no dark matches, but
they did a few main event matches to warm the crowd up. Bronson Reid
showed us a three hundred and thirty man that a three hundred and thirty pound
man can fly. There were not a lot of huge pops at the event,
but I'd say the biggest one was for Rhea Ripley when she came out
talked on the mic with Naya. You could feel everyone in the crowd loves,
loves uh loves Rhea. I would agree, Rhea. They need I
don't know why they keep swimming upstream with this. Rhea Ripley is a babyface
that the fans are just they're forcing it at this point. Okay, the
biggest booze were for Naya and then for Ludwig Kaiser. Speaking of Kaiser,
I genuinely thought Kingston was badly injured. Kept looking for the X from the
ref. They did a good job of selling it live. I agree.
The anti reactions by that I mean dead silence was for Ivar in his match
with Otis. There were no booze at all. I enjoyed the Alpha Academy
and was trying to cheer for Otis, but the crowd didn't get into it.
I felt bad as because as performers, those guys gave it. They're
all. That's always tough to see in person when you are sitting in a
crowd that's not reacting to a match. I actually agree. I feel for
the wrestlers when they do that, because they are killing themselves and they don't
get a reaction. I feel for them. I'm with you. Another anti
reaction, or rather no reaction, was for Gender. The crowd booed a
little but mostly was just silent. Maybe he is similar to Nya Jacks.
People just doesn't care at first, but with repeated TV time, the crowd
was grown to hear her or owned to booher as a heel. Hopefully,
with this program with seth Uh, he will get a quality match and the
crowd will come back to him. He's a great actor and can really deliver
the villain lines. Me and my son said, we cannot wait for the
DJ Kuzma voicemail on the Verer the Verer, the Verr Mahan report. I
know, yeah, I'm not going to read it like he does. I
agree, yeah, but don't worry that's coming. While I made the sign
that said JD represents the Lollipop guilden person he is a great talent. He
did a twist spin move that had me floored. I think he's going to
do great things. The miz in person was awesome. You can tell he's
a veteran with lots of charisma. He was working to keep the crowd energized
during the commercial break, where some of the other talent would just walk talk.
During commercial there was a body to body slam between Champa and Finn that
made it sound sound so terrible. I thought for sure someone had broken a
rib. I didn't catch that on the the audio at home, but in
person, obviously it's a different animal. During the street fight, the banner
was pulled up and I could see under the ring. They could see they
have a monitor under there. I'm assuming so talent can see what is happening
in the match, and it looked like a basement with enough room that people
can stand under there. Interesting. That's a very sly. They aren't turning
Cody Heel anytime soon. He is the modern version of hul Kogan. Almost
everyone in the crowd loved him. I heard grown men nearby yelling, come
on, Cody, you can do it. During his match. After the
TV portion was over, Cody gave a piece of the broken table. He
threw shinske to a fan. Oh, the table that broke he gave to
a fan. Got it. He also stayed for ten to fifteen minutes after
the show and took photos and signed autographs with the fans. Our kids had
a blast. They're eleven, ten and seven. Our youngest got on the
big screen during a commercial break when they did the Sign of the Night with
his guest Yeat sign. I will say the three hour plus show is a
lot for the seven year old, and he was tired for the most of
the second half. That's yeah, those Signs of the Night can be fun.
And we'll just say about Cody, he's to me, he's almost too
nice and I know that sounds weird, but it's almost you know, he's
he's now being the best man for somebody that had a sign in the audience
that said be my best man, Cody, and now Cody's gonna be that
guy's best man. He's always like smiling, and he he comes across too
nice, and you know, he's he's too clean cut, he's too pure.
That turns me off completely, and it's it's probably a flaw in my
own personality. But I mean, I'm not disagreeing that fans love him.
I just don't. And something about his character is just too cuddly. It's
too much. But you know, hey, I'm the minority and I know
that. Okay, a couple more points some downsides of the live event.
They cut off concessions at six pm. We're Pacific times, so that meant
they shut down two hours before the end. That's woof. We wanted to
get the young one of coke to give him more energy. They're also missing
out on merch sales as they only had two merch stands and the lines were
epic. The only real reason to go to those is to get one of
the event only shirts. They should let you order one of those through the
website, through your ticket order and final thoughts. Going to a live show
is an experience like no other. It was fun to be on TV,
but I think in the future I'd sit on the dark side of the moon
to see the wrestlers' faces. Matt, thanks for all you do with the
podcast. You really add to our experience with what you do. Well.
Thank you so much. I'm glad that you and your kids had so much
fun. It is a family event, no doubt about it. And yet
there's something something to be said for not sitting on the TV side, because
you're right, it's like they're talking to you. They're looking at you because
the hardcams on your side. As long as you don't care about being on
TV. Absolutely, you know so well. Thank you so much. Jason
Great notes, all right, Djkuzmo, let's do it, he says,
it's DJ Cuzo back at it again. It's official. It is official that
Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits are now a Babyface group. If we didn't
already know, or we're trying to figure it out anyway, Carrying Cross got
some new backup with the returning AOP and their manager, The legendary Paul Ellering,
who hasn't aged a bit interesting to see this potential feud continue with Lashley
in the Street Profits, but Lashly needs some additional backup to get even with
Cross in the new group. I'm thinking about probably bringing Odyssey Jones to Lashley's
group because since being drafted from nx T de Raw, Jones hasn't made an
official televised in ring main roster debut. Pairing Jones, who kind of reminds
me of a young Mark Henry, with Bobby Lashley in the Street Profits could
possible fit, possibly in terms of getting consistent TV time. Yeah, that's
that's that's that's not a bad se election. They do probably need another to
balance things out. That's very much a possibility. Yes, it was good
seeing Ashanti the Adonis on SmackDown. I thought he was released. Maybe he
could also join Lashley's group or wrestle in the lower to mid cards since he
mentioned to Nick all this that he just needs an opportunity. Finally, it
seems like twenty twenty four is going to be another year of more factions.
But what factions from last year do you see possibly breaking up or continuing to
thrive because it seems like one of those formulas to success in WWE is joining
a faction dgcuzmos signing off. Who do I see breaking up h in twenty
twenty four? I mean, if there was gonna be one, it would
probably be the blood Line. To be honest with you, I think the
blood line blood line has a very good chance of breaking up because it's kind
of run its course more than judgment. DA will probably just survive twenty twenty
four group will probably survive. Carrying Cross's group just got formed, so it'll
probably survive. Oh, how about damage control? That group is done.
It's got to be so ii DJ We'll get to that ver verr VERR Mahan
reports shortly. Let's let's see here we are gonna now, let's see,
I'm gonna I'm gonna check on Patreon, guys, check a little bit more
and make sure I didn't miss any of the patrons. It's because I always
do every week, and I feel like a jerk. Uh. Let's see,
Nope, I don't have anything directly on Patreons. So we're gonna go
to Nick, who was also in Portland and he wanted to share his thoughts.
He took his nine year old to her her first live event, and
although her favorite live Morgan wasn't there, she had an absolute blast. I
was able to successfully distract her during the embarrassing DX Chop segment. So awkward
conversation averted smart and I know people are I've even had people get angry at
me on Twitter. You can't tell people how to parent, uh no,
but I can't. Well, number one, I can't. I can't tell
people what to do, but I can judge you, right, That's what
we do all day long is judge things as human beings, you know.
And not saying you, Nick, I'm saying, like, you know,
if I see something that a parent's doing and allowing their child to do,
I can sit there and judge them. Absolutely I have the right to.
And I'm seeing kids, seeing underaged kids doing crotch chops with no understanding of
what the underlying meaning is to that, and we're all laughing. It's very
awkward. So good job Nick. First, some generals behind the scenes stuff
lots of Judgment Day and see im punk shirts, but by far the most
popular I saw were the various Yeat and main event JA shirts. Jay's clearly
one of the most over guys in the company right now and Yeat Chance.
We're even overshadowing the obnoxious WU Chance. As we waited for the pre show,
well that's good to hear. We got a pair of dark matches film
for main event, with Bronson Ree beating NXT's Javier Bernal and an all NXT
match as Duke Hutson beats Miles Bourne. With Drew starting the show in the
ring, he got a full entrance just before going on air. Hilarious.
He got a huge pop on his music hit and then as soon as he
opened his mouth to start the show, the crowd turned on him. It's
funny. Yeah, I mean, obviously we didn't see the entrance, but
the biggest pops of the night were obvious ones. Punk had the loudest,
followed closely by Rhea and the table Cody pulled out. By the way,
people are having an unhealthy obsession with tables. I don't know what it is
with crowds. They will forego anything for tables. This isn't just for Importland,
this goes for crowds around you know the world. For whatever reason,
we have an unhealthy obsession with tables. It's weird. Probably The best moment
of the night other than our truth in the video package during the mis JD
match came when Kofe took the chair shot from Ludwig Kaiser perfection. I wasn't
surprised that it didn't make the Hulu cut because it's a shame. It was
an incredible cell. During that entire segment, I kept waiting and hoping for
Biggie's music to hit before remembering we're just a few weeks away from the Rumble
and they wouldn't put a return like that up against the National Championship game.
Maybe it was just me, but because of our nosebleed, I found the
main event between Cody and Shinskate to be interminably slow and boring until the finishing
sequence. It was probably a product of two commercial breaks where nothing significant significant
happened, so it probably came across better on screen, but the pacing of
the match was excruciating in person. Yeah I've heard. I actually had other
people tell me that too, And the commercial breaks will kill you because they
have to do essentially nothing during commercial breaks. The referee has to tell them
they're in commercial and then they have to just essentially just slow things down.
Not do anything that's of significance, do a rear you know, some kind
of choke hold, some kind of rear chin lock, and sit there until
they come back from commercial. Finally, I have to mention the Women's Tag
Team Championship, which, as you mentioned on your review, was an excellent
match. The crowd was understandably quiet to start, but things picked up with
some of the big spots. It was fun to see a match where the
wrestlers really won over the crowd as it progressed. Hopefully, the cases continued
to get over with a decent run, looking strong as champions because I see
a loss to the Kabooki Warriors in their future, probably at WrestleMania. As
always, thank you for all that you do and giving us a platform to
contribute to the show. Long live the ww podcast, and sorry for going
over my two minutes. Nick from Eugene, Well that's okay, Nick.
You went to the show, so hearing the notes is always fun. Thank
you, Nick. Okay, Oh boy, I think we only have one
more. I always lie, but we'll try, Kevin, he says.
First, Hi, Matt, first mailbag submission. You can use the Moniker
Attorney tut for me. Okay, well, Attorney tut, let's do it.
One quick observation. I very much appreciated you beating the drum on the
absent storytelling during the Brock Cody feud, but I find that Jimmy usso returned
to the Bloodline even more egregious. Jimmy superkicked Roman at Night of Champions,
was the first to leave the blood line, beat Roman in solo at tag
Match, ran Roman down in promos, but with zero explanation, he returns
to the blood Line and the vengeful petty boss Roman just accepts him back in
like it never happened. It makes no sense. Why did Jimmy want back
in? Why was it all forgiven by Roman? WWE has made no effort
to try and explain it, as far as I can recall, turning j
babyface was a good move by WWE, but it was confusing and lazy writing
just to have Jimmy rejoin the Bloodline without a valid explanation. It bugs me
every time I see Jimmy taking a fall for the blood Line, and especially
when he's in segments with Roman. I think WWE deserves more criticism for the
plot hole, and I know I can count on you to call it out
on behalf of the universe. Thanks for listening to my critique and keep up
the awesome work. Thanks Attorney TOUTT. Yeah, I haven't beat the drum
too much on this as much as I have with the Brock and Cody thing,
which I still don't find acceptable, But this is just as bad.
Here's the thing. Here's what they could have done, which would have solved
a lot of things. Have Jimmy turn on Jay. If you want to
have Jimmy cost Jay the match because they needed an out, have him do
it. But he doesn't need to rejoin the blood line. He could just
dislike both. Why did he have to rejoin the blood line? He could
have just been on his own hating Jimmy and the blood line. He doesn't
have to rejoin. That would have made more sense because he still is consistent
with his turn on Roman and also consistent with his turn on Jay, So
they could have done that. But instead, Yeah, you're right, he
just inexplicably rejoins it. At this point, I'm telling you they have no
intention of filling that gap because too much time has passed for them to think
that the fans are going to care about that. But for people like you
and I that just care about basic, basic, not advanced one on one
storytelling, this is incoherent and it's insulting as a fan to see things like
this happen where you're just like, well, wait a minute, can you
at least give me something? That's the worst part about it. I'd rather
have them give us a reason that is ridiculous and stupid than no reason at
all. And with Brock and Cody, they gave us nothing, which is
the worst possible outcome. And with Jimmy and Roman, they gave us nothing,
which is the worst possible outcome. So they don't even have the fortitude
or I don't know if guts or I don't know what the word is,
respect, probably to give the fans at least something, even if it's a
hot pile of garbage reason. I still wouldn't like it, but I'd accept
that a little bit more than just nothing. No reason is the worst,
So I would agree with You're gonna get me on a rant, but thank
you. Okay. Hey, let's say I have an email here. I
don't know if I answered it last week. It's Bill from Northern Cali.
It's January fourth, so it's very possible. I didn't answer it, but
let's do I'll answer. It's very quick, and he says, hey ww
podcast fans. Bill C from Northern Cali. I think something big is going
to happen at WrestleMania forty what I think Roman will turn babyface after WrestleMania forty.
I think someone or two people are going to attack the Rock, like
Jimmy and Solo and Roman didn't like that, and then Jimmy and Solo attack
Roman. Then the Rock and Roman fight off Jimmy and Solo. Possible,
but you're getting a little there's a lot of inconsistency there because these two are
turning on this one, but then these two don't feel it's appropriate to turn
on them, so they aligned to It gets like, well, well,
wait a minute, Who's loyalty lies where? And I don't need think I
don't think this needs to be overcomplicated. I understand that what you want to
do is something unexpected with Rock and Roman uniting, but we're not there yet.
We're nowhere near Rock and Roman aligning themselves yet that could come. We
could eventually get a Roman and Rock tag team match against somebody. Absolutely,
but We're nowhere near that yet. We've got a whole season of WrestleMania to
get through before that happens. And I don't need some crazy turn like that
happening at WrestleMania for me personally, but I do something big should happen at
WrestleMania forty I agree, Is it that I don't know? All right?
Well, I do believe, I do believe that is it for the email,
So I will very quickly hear run through those voicemails. I'm limited on
time today, so let's get to it right now. Don't be podcasts for
this is DJ Cooles. But back at it again on your mailback show record
to you live on a Wednesday boarding. This is a little bit different today
as I am recording to you live from an indoor location because for some reason,
we've been getting heavy rain for the past twelve to thirty I was here
in New York City and we're getting tornado wins. Like why are we getting
tornados in New York at this time of the year. But whatever the case
may be, let's get to your favorite showing to coming every single week on
the mailbag, and I'm talking about the Vere de Vere de Vere de Vere
the Vere mahar Report, now the Vera Mahara Report took place this past by
the night Conday Raw Live from Portland, Oregon, and once again we did
not get an appearance of Vera Mahaan, we did not get an appearance of
Saga, but we did get an appearance on the modern day Maharaja, the
former WW champion Jinner Mahal, and he was in a segment with none of
the than the World heavyweight Champion Seth Freaking Rolands. And I just enjoy this
promo that the modern day Maharaja set to South freaking Rollins and has said something
like this, You sing, you dance, you dress up, You bring
no value. You throw childish temper tandrums when things don't go your way when
the show goes off the air. But I digress. I enjoyed this promo.
I enjoyed this segment. It seems like it seems like Genda Mahal is
getting some some sort of singles push. I'm a little bit concerned as to
the direction of the end this year and will we ever see Vir Mahal and
Saga together with the modern day Maharaja. But whatever the case may be,
now We're having some sort of championship match next week Monday night on Raw and
most likeliness is going to be the main event and most likely Genda Mahal will
not win this match. But what's interesting to see is that yesterday on Twitter
there was some sort of back and forth between Tony Khan, the head of
a W, and Genda Mahal. As Tony Kahn was throwing some shade on
on on the Modern day Maharaja stated a who oh, he's getting a championship
opportunity after only having one win, only one win. Of course he was
looking at the cage match database and looking at ohha, he only has he
only had one win over the past year, and now he's got to get
championship opportunity. But whatever the case may be, all I gotta say on
this matter is Tony card By your business, focus on aw focus on the
low ratings. Let's talk about those low ratings of Dynamite, rampage and collision.
But let's get back to the ver Baja Report. Like always, this
is your guy, DJ Kuzmo. Have a blessed week. Be kai to
one of the support the Modern Day Maja Rogers as he goes against a freak,
Raalins and piece, okay, a couple of things, gender and Tony
Khan. Isn't it amazing that Jenner Mahal goes from irrelevant and completely non existent?
I mean, he hasn't been on WE television consistently in how over a
year two years? He goes from non existent to trending on X in a
week. The dude had I mean, say what you want about him The
Rock, Yes, washing him or whatever? If one hundred and seventy one
million views on The Rock happened, and I do believe it is probably true.
I don't know if they're unique views. It's probably not unique viewers.
It's a lot of duplicate views. But still tens of millions of people watch
that segment. That also means they watch Gender Mahall, which means he got
the same exposure. He goes from catering to working with The Rock and this
week working with Seth Rollins. And yes he'll lose his match with Seth,
but who cares. He's getting I mean, again, irrelevant to working with
two top talents. So I'm excited for Ginger Mahall. I know a lot
of people don't like him, didn't like his tuntle run a decade ago with
Randy Orton. All that, I understand that. I'm actually of the belief
that he actually was an asset to the company at one point. I think
he has more talent than people give him credit for, and he's an asset
right now. He's a good promo, he's a good foreign heel, he's
in great shape. He never gets in trouble. There's I mean, I
understand you don't like his character. It's boring, it's one dimensional. Whatever.
Just look, he still cuts a good heel. He got a lot
of booze. Okay, he got the reaction that was desired. So I
have no issue with Jenner Mahal here and he yes, he'll lose the match
with Seth, but that's not the point. But now Tony Kahn, I
saw that too, and I said the same thing to Tony Khan. I
you know, I sent him a message on Twitter because I'm sure he is
very concerned about what I have to say to him, and I said the
same thing, basically, is okay, worry about your own product. And
you know why WWE doesn't call out aw talent because they don't need to.
This is the sign and sound of desperation and immaturity. And look, maybe
he's not like this on a personal level, but if it's bleeding into his
professional world where he has millions invested, it's not a good sign. You
don't have Twitter wars with talent on an opposing company. I mean, it's
embarrassing. Tony's embarrassing himself. And then Jender put out hilariously, who TF
we know what that is? Who TF is hook? Right? That was
hilarious? He now. Jenner eventually deleted the tweet, probably because the office
WB management told him to delete it because they don't want to acknowledge AW.
They don't need to. But it's embarrassing for AW. It's embarrassing for Cony
Kahan. He's a weird dude. He may have a lot of money that
he inherited from daddy, but he's a weird guy that just seems to be
desperate right now. He seems to be craving the attention because he's like,
oh, we wrestle Mania season is coming up, w right now? WW
has all the momentum, all of it. AW does not, And he's,
hey, guys over here, let me do some wacky stuff so you
pay attention to me, what about me? That's what he's doing. And
it sounds desperate. So I understand that a lot of lots on the line.
So's on some small level, I can't fault him, but it also
generally looks like he's very immature. Uh. And you know, like you
said, stay in your lane, worry about your business. Okay, worry
about your business. Ww doesn't have to worry about you. You have to
worry about them, and you have to worry about your your own company that
is not doing great right now? I agree? Thanks DJ, Let's continue.
Hello WWE podcast. This is Shavon from He's talking to you as we
are going into Wrestle many A season. In is Wrestle many A season,
it's pretty sunny. Although in the United States you have snow, we didn't
hear about snow. In Israel have sun in the middle of January. This
is crazy. Anyway, Let's talk about the greatest match that should be in
WrestleMania, but would be in chamber because everyone wants Cody will win Rock versus
Roman. I'm sorry, Matt, I thought that Cody won't be in Wressellmenia.
I thought that Cody won't take the ramble. I thought that Cody won't
win Roman Reigns, but now I understand the Triple Age made a deal with
Cody that he said, Cody, you will be my new John Cina.
You will give autograph to all of the fans, you will do a perfect
smile every night, and I will give you everything you want. You want
two times to all rumble. Well, you get it. You want two
times in a row, many events in somnia, you get it. You
want to be the man that will be the champion after Roman ruins, you
get it. So yeah, so Cody gonna get it all. Nothing gonna
stop Tripple Age from doing this thing with a lovely wrestler, Cody Roads.
Cody Roads and Trepplege will be just like John Cinna and mister McMahon. So
now Reindeer winning the Road, Rod Burn, Roman Reigns and the rock will
will happen in Australia, in Perth. Seriously, Australia. It just I've
been in Australia a few years ago. I've been there in a trip and
perf it's the middle of nowhere. It's not like Sydney or Melbourne. It's
the middle of nowhere. Think about it. They're doing Rock Roman in the
middle of freaking nowhere, the better of Kangaroos, some other Authellian things to
make it professional. Yeah. So ah, I just hated so much that
it looked like we're just gonna have another Vince McMahon era, but with two
Pelage name on it. That all we're gonna do is give the funds what
they want and the fiends would choose everything in the fans and the final defense
in the end it will be to applege that will choose what to do.
Yeah. So see you in prop prop. I don't know how you said
so much PERF two Rock Vessus Roman and yeah, see you later. Hey
scharl Well, I didn't know Perth was in the middle of nowhere. I
was imagining a Sydney like environment. I was thinking Sydney, that the skyline
of Sydney, right, that the famous buildings and architecture, and that's not
the case. Again, I don't know. I mean, I've never been
to Australia my life. We all know Sydney, a lot of us only
from finding Nemo. But I mean, so that to me is interesting that
it is literally in the middle of nowhere, I'll take your word for it,
and sure they'll pack sixty thousand people in the stadium and they'll try to
make it as big as they can. And honestly, there is a case
to be made for it to put Rock and Roman there only because they're trying
to do a global expansion and create a global buzz, and that is a
great way to do it, even though it makes no sense from just the
US standpoint. You're like, you're telling me that they're not going to do
it at WrestleMania forty what the hell? But they could do And I'm the
more and more I think about it, the more I am of the idea
that Rock Roman's gonna happen at Chamber and it's going to be a Rock Roman
Cody triple threat at WrestleMania. That's because where else do you put the Rock
at WrestleMania if it's not somehow against Romans. So you're gonna have actually two
matches with Rock Roman, except the second one will be with Cody, where
I think Cody will pin Roman and Rock won't be involved in the decision and
Cody Rhodes will win at wrestle maina right right now, that's actually the place
I think I'm going with. So this is interesting. And thank you Sharon
for you know, contributing every week. I appreciate it. Again, I'm
not trying to rush, but I kind of am. I only have a
few minutes left here, so let's get to as many as we can.
It's kind of for bolts worst. I want to talk about this past money
and out of Wall with Becky leaves it, Tony and they're gonna try to
You're gonna have them face each other till Becky wins. I think it's going
to be a thing where I can see Becky eliminated die at the at the
War Rubble, I'll expected to see Becky to win, to win the Rubble
Magic Dan will be the first one to win the Rubble match twice. I've
kind of almost expected that because I think the I think Dan go for them
for both when the title matches, I'm thinking in my head it's Becky and
Ria and EO and Bailey for WrestleMania for their for their respective championship matches will
be for US Mitchell, re Becty, Area, Heal and Bailey and then
so we'll see that happens. I have said that Becky Twin and Rumble and
probably Bailey winning the elimination chamber. That could be something that could happen.
And then I don't be up to as herself in the Rumble two, but
I think she may end up placing Jake Cargill at Wrestlemingium, possibly as a
big time mesch for FOKA, so I could see, like already they can
go through the three biggest women's matches for WrestleMania. So let's see how that
plays out. We'll see if he even made events wrestle Media nightwide between and
ends up being Becky and Rhea and punkin' uh and Rolins. Guess would come
down to you's going to tell the better story, so we'll guess I'll be
the fine thing to find out. But that's just already my prediction already.
But I thought, but I think that's how beck you also get her revenge
from Lucien Deniers, her Luminini and I have in the World Rubble Match.
So that's just my thought. But it was like quick thoughts. My early
predictions sort of were Rumble already, so what to give your thoughts from that?
But that's the dial cross. Hi, Hey, Kyle, thank you
so much. I would agree Becky Lynch is a strong favorite to win because
you could easily get to Bailey and eo By, like you said, having
Bailey win an elimination chamber match. Don't forget there are guys. There are
two paths here, not just Rumble winners. There's a elimination chamber, which
elimination chamber typically is the number one contender or a title match that tells you
who the person is that's going to go into WrestleMania's champion or challenge for the
championship. So there are two paths on both shows to get to the actual
championship match at WrestleMania for the world title and for the undisputed Championship. So
you have two paths, and I think Bailey will win the chamber if there
is one, and you could have Bianca, like you said, against Jade
car Gill. That'll be a whole lot of fun. Jade Cargill is absolutely
going to debut in the Royal Rumble. I see no reason why she shouldn't,
and she could face Bianca, and should face Bianca, That'd be just
amazing, and I mean the visual of it is already fun to think about
and absolutely yeah, like you know, you have a on the other side
of things, of course, Cody Roads. But from the women's perspective,
Becky Lynch has to win this because I don't see her any other way than
just winning and like you said, getting her revenge on Naya in the match,
which will make her whole again. So thank you, Kyle. Two
more, here we go. Hey, this is the laws. My connection
seems a little iffy, so I'm not sure this is going to go through
well. But I wanted to talk about Escobar and Kevin Nowen's match Little Harts.
That match that I thought was great, but at the beginning, when
Kevin was first taking over the match, there was obvious spots the Escobar was
doing a terrible job at acting like he cared, acting like you truly hurt
or any of that kind of stuff. He kind of just like you watched
him twice into position for the next move that Kevin was going to do on
him, and it was super obvious, super careless, super like just I
don't know, it just seemed like he didn't care, did not seem like
he was trying to make it seem real in any way, shape or form.
And then I think his reaction to the stunner was terrible. I've been
kind of getting on the bandwagon for Estebar, but after that match, in
those couple of things, I'm not too hot on him. I don't like
that kind of wrestling when they move around in the ring and it's obviously they're
moving into position for somebody to fall on them, jump on them, whatever,
and wow, it's kind of frustrating. However, I do love Romberto
and Angel joining Estubar. I do think that is great. But that's my
rant for this week. Guys, I just wanted to call in and say
that this is alas out. He was good to hear from you, so
yeah, it sounds like you weren't too high in the match. I would
agree that Santos sometimes does have a bit of an oversell or a weird,
weird, unique style of selling and wrestling where he is more of kind of
a set up staging guy. Uh. He does. But I mean generally,
I'm not gonna, you know, say that he's a bad wrestler.
I generally like his style, generally think he's a good wrestler, and eventually
he'll feud with Ray Mysterio upon his return and you know, so maybe he
just had kind of an off night with Kevin Owens. I didn't. I
didn't hate it as much as you did. But you know, I would
agree that Umberto and Angel are a great addition. And what if Andrade comes
back. He's heavily rumored to come back. Charlotte will be very happy.
I think he has a lot of potential, untapped potential that he left in
we and I think that he probably will re debut at the Royal Rumble and
he could potentially join Santos's group. He make like, you know, a
second LWL, the evil version of the LWL. Right, thank you so
much, Wise and final voicemail, I think it's Alex the French Guy.
Let's see what he has to say, acts the French guy here, your
European champion. Been watching Raw very average. As much as I like gender
Mahal, I know that this World Heavyweight Championship match is going to be like
there's one hundred percents the self violence is retaining. But who knows why not
Jinder Mahal or heavyweight champion or having someone cashing in because I think this match
will be like something where you can insert some storylines in so I think next
match in Raw you will see intervention of I don't know Drew McIntyre or the
Judgment Day or money in the then cashing. I don't know. But what
is the most interesting thing on this past Raw was not the feud between Drew
McIntyre and m Pump, but the National Treasure Our Truth, Our Truth.
My god, this was so so funny. Can we please make it ar
trusy to the Judgment Day because it will be a mess that they just take
Our Truth and beat them up. You know, the Judgment Day is just
like like it reminds me again, blood language, Sammy Jane and Our Truth
can bring that spark of funny moments in the Judgment Day because it's genuinely funny
and yeah, so offer me for this week and that guys, all right,
Alex, thank you. I mean, I don't know what more to
say about Our Truth. He is, you know, he can add a
lot. And that's the one thing too that I think is a very possible,
a very big possibility, is that it ends up being a situation where
Damian Priest tries to cash in. It's a perfect opportunity. Our Truth tries
to quote unquote help him, and he ends up screwing Damien Priest. The
cash in is wasted and he no longer has the briefcase and our truth,
you know, then gets beat down and that kind of thing, and they
finally truly snap on our truth. To me, that's I think where they're
probably going at the very end of this is a failed cash in because of
our Truth. It's a possibility, but until that happens, this is just
a fun dynamic, absolutely a lot of fun. So thank you, Alex.
I appreciate you, guys, and I'm sorry for the kind of muted
or abbreviated responses to your voicemails. And another email came in here that I
missed, and I want to get to that very quickly. This is from
John, and John says love the show. I wanted to get your thoughts
on the possibility of Damian Priest cashing in and stunning the wrestling world during the
Fatal four way at the Rumble. I'm convinced that failed cashs against Rollins is
w w's wave, making you think he's going to cam the title, but
in the end, it's the other belt that he ends up going after.
Everyone just assuming he's going to cash in on Seth, didn't Seth just say
any attempt on him by Theory who get I'm sorry, didn't Seth just get
an attempt on him by Theory who was the previous money in the bank winner.
I think when priest cash is in, it's huge and it's successful.
I feel like something completely crazy is going to happen at the Rumble match the
Fatal four Way where Solo and Jimmy are about to help Roman, but when
but Jay and Rock interfere, this helps set up Jimmy versus Jay at Mania.
Also, I'm hoping Jay is the one to take down Gunther, which
raises the stakes for potential Jimmy j match. Yeah, I think Jay is
the one to take down Gunther. I would agree. I've said that for
several weeks now too. I think he's a perfect candidate and it wouldn't hurt
gun Thro because that would tell you Gunther's moving on to the next the next
level of the top belt. Right, But there's the world title. Also,
Seth mentioning that this belt didn't exist a year ago on Raw is a
bunch of nonsense. The World Heavyweight Championship has a long lin and WWE just
plucked it out of thin air again and decided that, oh, the World
Heavyweight title. This is the first one that's ever existed. It's like,
no, I mean, just look back at the history of w W,
especially during the early two thousands with Triple H. It existed, but they're
pretending that lineage didn't exist, which actually makes no sense to me. You'd
want whatever. So now Damian Priest cashing in and being successful. Yeah,
people are assuming it's going to be on Rollins, but very well could be
on Roman. Hell, it could be on Gunther. You know, they're
just assuming it's for for Seth, but they may not be. But thank
you John, thank you everybody. Again, my apologies. I know it
sounds like I'm rushing. It's because I am. I'm on a very strict
timetable today, but thank you so much for everything. I'll be back.
