Derrick Henry's Future In The NFL + How Close He Was To Being Traded
In this week's episode we sit down with not only one of the boys but also the King, Derrick Henry. Derrick and the Titans just finished up their season and there are a lot of question marks surrounding Derrick's future with the team. So where else would he want to talk about his future than with the boys. Derrick and the guys first get into a lot of reminiscing from the last couple years on the team including times from Will was on the team. They talk about their run's that they had in 2019 and 2020. The game they had in Baltimore and how wild the atmosphere was, the game they had in Kansas City where Mahomes had that crazy run going into halftime. Some of the stories that the guys tell really just give you that vibe of a couple of old guys just reflecting on the good ole days. Following the reflection period, Will and Taylor ask him the question that everybody wants to know, what does the future look like for Derrick Henry? Derrick doesn't necessarily have an answer for that question. The biggest thing he was harping on was that he wants to win a Super Bowl and he isn't sure if that's a possibility with Tennessee. Derrick also gives us a glimpse into the crazy time period when everyone thought he was going to get traded. Overall, it's a great convo with a lot of reflection on some good times as well as looking to the times ahead. Uh, Taylor, he's uh, he's standing on business right now. He's standing on business right now. 00:02:47 Speaker 5: Uh. 00:02:47 Speaker 1: Shout out to Nashville. By the way, snow Day. 00:02:50 Speaker 2: Nashville is similar to Atlanta in the fact that when there's some snow on the ground, they kind of don't know what to do or they don't know how to handle it. Still, roads are covered a little bit, you know, they're like close everything. 00:03:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody's able to drive anywhere. Yeah, Yeah, we're done here. Yeah, it's super frustrating. Now it's not frustrating. It's almost comical at this point because being here ten years going on eleven, it's like every year there's a snowstorm, ice storm. That's like it seems like every year this this nationwide storm is coming in, right, and for two weeks Nashville has to deal with like everything being shut down. We don't we don't salt the roads, there's no snowplows, nothing. And I feel like they sit there at Capitol Hill or wherever they're at and they're like, like, boys, next year, we're gonna be prepared. Let's buy a couple of trucks. Let's do that. And then the weather pass. Everyone's like fuck it, dude, you know, let's just move on. There's no way it's gonna happen again. Right, everything down, and sure enough, here we are. But this is this is good snow. Usually in Nashville. For those of you that are not in Nashville or the Tennessee area listening to this podcast and want to know a little about the weather, usually it's like forty degrees and it rains that night, it freezes, and then the next day you get snow. And now We're slip slide on our way through life for the next two and a half weeks. This is a little nicer. It ran a couple of days. It was dry for a few days, and all of a sudden, we got this big snowstorm and it's like beautiful powder on the ground. Kids are out there. I don't know what it is with kids and just shoveling snow in their face on a content, Like my kids will just lay there. I have no idea how they don't get like, what's it called brain freeze. I don't know why my brain froze with that, But they like just lay on their stomachs and they just pour snow in their mouth over and over. Like literally. We went a little adventure yesterday and we had to take like snow breaks. I'm thinking to myself, just everywhere. Yeah, but like just scoop and walk, Yeah, scoop and walk. I loved it. 00:04:41 Speaker 2: I thought it was magical the way the snow was falling, like it felt like Christmas. 00:04:45 Speaker 6: Hell. 00:04:45 Speaker 1: Yeah, I felt like we needed we had just put the tree up. 00:04:47 Speaker 2: I felt like we needed to get it back out because it was falling nice, like it was like peaceful outside. 00:04:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, there's something about the snow coming down and it's like it doesn't make a sound. And then you think to yourself, if this was and it would be so loud, you couldn't even hear yourself. Think it's so much snow, it's. 00:05:04 Speaker 2: Soft and quiet. And then he just hears a crunch under your feet like as you're walking. I know, uh JP, he took to the to the hills. Did any of you guys go sledding? 00:05:14 Speaker 7: No sledding when export around the Shelby Park went down by the river, So yeah, shout out Shelby Park. 00:05:22 Speaker 8: Did. 00:05:22 Speaker 1: The beautiful thing about Nashville when it is like this and everything shuts down, is like it's like everyone just stays in their house and you kind of have like the whole world to yourself for a little bit. Snow days, nice snow days are great. Kids would love it. Do we have this hill? You know the hill we're about my house? Yeah, And there was this family out there. One of the dads he's a he's like he's like in this band, like a dad band called the Dirty Dogs, and like they play in their garage and they just fuck around like once a year, like once a year, I'll walk out of my house and there's just a band going crazy. I have no idea if they're good or not. But his daughter and his wife were out there sledding. We're all kind of just hanging out and it was a it was nice. Kids are out there ripping. My daughter. Willow hits this, like hits like what I think is a curb in the snow, and like sends herself, hits herself for hard, gets up, dust yourself off like it's nothing. Kids Warriorllo, it's as tough as they come. She is as tough as they come. Brother. 00:06:16 Speaker 2: It was sick no uh rub no sleddton for rube. But we did build a we we built a nice little snowman. 00:06:21 Speaker 8: Yeah. 00:06:22 Speaker 1: Talk to me about that process fall of building a snowman. Yeah. 00:06:25 Speaker 2: So you get out there and you said it earlier, like it was more powdery snow, so not the most packed in. You can't like get a nice roll going and create like this snowman the old fashioned way. Basically, I would just accumulate as much snow as possible, and then I built it up and then slowly and ever so gently, like continue to pack it in, played the long game, and then just carved the snowman. 00:06:46 Speaker 1: It's like it's like when you're trying to make a snowman with your gingerbread house during Christmas, Like you gotta be more gentle with it than you can make it stronger. Yeah, because I remember two years ago you had a nice little snowman in your backyard to I try to do it this year. And look, you're talking about the gingerbread house, right, it was too runny this year. Yeah, it was too running last year. I feel like it was more of a consistency or more thickness to it to where you couldn't make the snowman in the blocks going up. Yeah, I told Taylor and I say, you, we gotta get the well, yeah, yeah, we'll juice up the quality next year. That's tough, Champ, But it was tough. That was a wild turn of events. Huh did we ever talk about that in the show? I don't think so. Every year we do an annual gingerbread house competition, and uh, who won it last year? Probably me? All Right, we'll say for the sake of this story that will Will won it. Well, we had we all did our gingerbread houses, and we meet like Bill Will's dad stopped caring about five minutes and just sat there with his beer in his hand and his chee, and so he kind of he and I kind of teamed up on the stuff and I had to get a little more creative of my thing. And so we end up doing the gingerbread house and I podium, which was great. But then what, I'll let you explain this because it involves Charles. Oh, yeah, she had a miscount. She had a miscount. 00:08:02 Speaker 2: Charle was the winner, she was the judge at first, and then afterwards I was so beside myself because I didn't podium because I thought that was bullshit that I should have had a nice house. Yeah, that I should have been a top three gingerbread house. And so I asked her how she counted. I was like, well, how'd you tear the system? Because I could have swore my number was on there a few different times, and she just said, oh, if you're just on the list like that was, I just gave a point. I was like, oh no, sweetheart, it's first, second, third, it's three two one. You have to go back. We have to recount. So I'm thinking I'm gonna make my way on the podium now. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way that even that way still didn't give me on the podium. But what we did find out is that crazy. 00:08:41 Speaker 1: Because Will's house was good, you had a nice house. 00:08:44 Speaker 2: But to also continue to shoot on myself, Like three of my points came from me voting for myself in first place, which is illegal. 00:08:51 Speaker 1: You can't like vote for yourself. I voted for myself too. Oh you know that's crazy. And my dad only put your number down. 00:08:58 Speaker 2: Nobody else, your dad said, And then we learned that Taylor ends up winning on the on the points system. So that was the big turn of events on on the gingerbread competition. 00:09:08 Speaker 1: Now go ahead with what you know, what you want to do? Go ahead? 00:09:13 Speaker 2: What Yeah, that's bro, that's known. Like if you won, there's gotta be some stipulation. Who won the Fantasy league? Daddy Taylor won the Fantasy League? 00:09:22 Speaker 1: Who cheated? Taylor cheated? Anyway? 00:09:26 Speaker 7: Hey, breaking off the back breaking news in real time. Erica Nardini is stepping down as Barstools CEO. No, whoa, but Taylor did cheat in the fantasy League. 00:09:42 Speaker 2: You used the glue about ginger breadhouse glue? He used the glue gun. He voted obviously voted for himself. My dad only voted for Taylor's not like that. It's like six total points off the just off the standings which have lost it for him. Actually see football tries to trade Mark Andrew for Mark Andrews. Then Mark Andrews hurt that night and he tries to go back on. I'm just, I'm just I want everybody to have all the facts. 00:10:09 Speaker 1: That's good. Next year, it's been a I mean, the last month for me has been I mean end of December and January has been a big winning year for me. But next year, when we do this fantasy which we are going to do, we will have integrity. We will put like clear black and white rules in and we will make sure that everyone does it. And hopefully you guys can unseat the champ. Unseat the champ. Tom Brady had the flight gate, they still call him champ. So Erica Nardini is stepping down a CEO. What if we listen to this? Do you play this out loud? All right? Bear with us. 00:10:46 Speaker 2: We're about to listen to this video of Erica stepping down as the CEO's. 00:10:50 Speaker 1: Like they sent her out right away. She's just walking out. 00:11:00 Speaker 9: Entertaining. 00:11:04 Speaker 1: I'm stepping down as a CEOs. I feel super sad about it. 00:11:08 Speaker 10: I was just crying on me nor things imaginable or too much. 00:11:14 Speaker 5: I make up for that, but it's been a wild I'm so grateful and. 00:11:21 Speaker 1: Feeling sentimental. Like I think back to twenty sixteen and. 00:11:25 Speaker 5: They went through seventy candidates and all that, and I kind of think either nobody wanted the job and I did, or they were stupid enough to not see what it could be and I thought I. 00:11:36 Speaker 1: Could make something of it. 00:11:38 Speaker 5: And what we made of it is like it exceeded my wildest expectation. 00:11:44 Speaker 10: And I'm so proud. 00:11:46 Speaker 5: We grew the company into something I don't think anybody ever thought possible or probable. I think the expectations or the desire that Barstool would fail were really high, and I think we just find that. And I'm so proud about not just what we built, but we did it in our own way, and we did it. 00:12:06 Speaker 1: In our own style, and. 00:12:09 Speaker 5: We did it with our own people and of our own propulsion, and growing a company five thousand percent in revenue over eight years is awesome. I think the audience grew even more than that, so it's kind of a weird thing. I mean, we exited the company twice in the last year. I feel like the work I came here to do is done. I'm so proud of it. Everything I could have ever imagined and wanted to achieve we did. 00:12:40 Speaker 1: I feel so good about Dave. 00:12:43 Speaker 5: I'm so grateful to Dave to forgiving me a chance in the first place. And I trusted him and I still trust him, and he's the right person to make this a pirate ship. And I think we went around the sun a bunch and now it's back. 00:13:00 Speaker 1: Exactly where it should be, as it should be, and. 00:13:04 Speaker 5: Everything I wanted to do here I did, and I learned more than I could ever have possibly imagined, and I gave everything I had. So that's the news. I'm going to help Dave as long as he needs me. I'm going to go try to figure out what I want to go build and do. Next I get out of the rain in New York. 00:13:25 Speaker 1: And that's it. So Viva Hi, first thoughts, Yeah, I don't know. I wonder if something happened. 00:13:37 Speaker 2: But then again, like she alludes to, the pirate tip back to being where it wants to be, and maybe it just like maybe that's just the vision that Dave has for it to where there's not her position, or maybe maybe not her position, but maybe they go look for somebody else might have kind of grow and get into that world of like pin and everything else is no longer happening. 00:14:00 Speaker 1: So I'm not sure, I think. 00:14:01 Speaker 2: And she stayed there a while, like CEOs usually have like a not a shelf lift, but usually they figure out what they want to do, they build it, stay there as long as they stay there. 00:14:11 Speaker 1: What is it like five years? I think it's the average. Yeah, that was the point I was going to bring up. Is it like it seems as though she was there much longer than the average CEO. And I don't know. My first initial thought, and I have no idea, is Dave is taking more of the reins of this whole thing now, Yeah, because I'm stepping down, Dave's the right man to do it. And that that little tiny little quote to me is like, all right, Dave is truly taking him back to Dave Portenoy's barstool. Yeah. It's interesting because he's I mean, he's in Florida, he's in a whole bunch of different areas. He doesn't live in New York, he doesn't live in Chicago. Yeah, it'll be it'll be interesting to see how like his process is not being in the office every day, because a lot of what you see from like the old Barstool stuff is him him being in the office and kind of being on everyone's ass, right, which is you know, it's a reason why Barstool was so successful. It's a major reason why people were down each other's throat. Yeah, and he was. He was one of the guys that would walk in and stirred up. But he was on a show the other day talking about this, talking about Frank the Tank, and he went to a Dolphins game, or he went to a sports game that he really liked, a sports team that he liked, and he left before and then ended up coming back and winning. I don't remember what the team was. And David was like, if I was in the office, that would be a story for an entire week. Out have made sure that like lived longer than it actually did since he was out of the office. So it'll be interesting to see the dynamic for sure. Oh yeah, I wonder if they'll bring anybody else in. Yeah, I wonder. It just kind of seems like Dave's I'll have to click on that zipping see what's going on. Trying to become CEO of barstool. Yeah, I'll do it. Fifty PC owner of Busting with the Boys and CEO of Barstool. Hell yeah, build that thing up called double dipping, no doubt. Wow boys, and he thoughts on in the back. No, really perfect, I mean shut out Erica. 00:16:05 Speaker 2: She's a long time Yeah, she was. She's been pivotal for us. And you know, being being with Barsol. How long that five six years? Five years and sixteen whatever? That is? 00:16:16 Speaker 1: Sixty? No that No, he's by us, yeah about Yeah, we got there twenty nineteen, right, twenty nineteen, Yeah, twenty nineteen, yeah, going so going into our fifth year. Yeah, that's why we've been here for five years. No, a lot of turnover. There's been a lot of turnover to with Barsol. Yeah. 00:16:33 Speaker 2: They just had kind of that big uh, the big you know what is it called round of layoffs earlier in the year. 00:16:41 Speaker 1: Coach Dougs about him, Yeah, coach, coach, Coach Dougs, you had to go, dogs, you had to go. 00:16:49 Speaker 2: Should we get into the football, Should we get in the football? We got eight teams standing after the weekend. The Texans beat the ship out of the Browns. 00:16:57 Speaker 11: Uh. 00:16:57 Speaker 2: Chiefs handled the Dolphins. Buffalo, in my opinion, beat the shit out of the Steelers. 00:17:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, they beat the shit out. Yeah, I'm off the floor of the Lions rams was so fun to watch. 00:17:08 Speaker 2: I was kind of it didn't matter who won, but just like you're rooting for both teams to kind of score each time, like all, let's make the situation even better. Packers handled the Cowboys, and the Cowboys once again are just in disarray with how you can get better after going twelve and five with three years in a row, went in the division. 00:17:26 Speaker 1: And then finally the Eagles falling Eagles Man, Eagles are done. Eagles are done done in what way? Like they're they're gone, see you later. When they won the Super Bowl back in what was that, I will just say twenty sixteen because I can't remember. I'm I'm pretty sure the next year they lost in the wild card again and there was some changing going on. So there that seems like a team that ends up reloading quicker than other teams. Dead got it. Jason Kelsey just retired, which is wild. There's a lot of holes. 00:17:56 Speaker 2: That they're gonna have to fill the big difference from last year's Eagles this year's Eagles. Everybody's talked about it is how the coordinators aren't there anymore so the offense like everything about him. 00:18:06 Speaker 1: They've had no defense. 00:18:07 Speaker 2: We should have know, like I should have known that in the gambling world, like a team without any defense isn't gonna do that. Well, it's off to Baker Mayfield and the boys playing strong. 00:18:16 Speaker 1: Still having funny, said a clip of him on Timeout water Squirt, like just doing fun stuff. Yeah, I'm in Philly donking these boys right now, just doing my thing. And they did handle them handled sucked. It's it sucked to watch for the Eagles because they just they've really well how many they lose in their last like the last five out of six games. What if the Eagles just folded it and Kelsey retires. Lane Johnson might retire. He's getting older too, the back ends getting older. Who knows what's happened KB, even though they just traded for KB. What if Jack Brand gets on the phone and decides, you know what I want a j I'm back. Oh that's where you're going? 00:19:02 Speaker 12: I was I was never Brown. 00:19:05 Speaker 1: I was going toward. 00:19:06 Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna say, Mike Vrabel now becomes the head coach for Kevin Byron and A J. 00:19:11 Speaker 1: Brown again, that would be wild. Bring Rabel to Philly, man, you think is it? Sirianni is his name? They're saying Siri is gonna get fired, which is pretty wild. I know, but may I know. 00:19:26 Speaker 9: Mike McCarthy's gone by the end of the day too. 00:19:28 Speaker 1: I don't think McCarthy should be going to I don't know about Sirianni. 00:19:31 Speaker 2: I thought, but McCarthy, I think, yeah, I thought last week Sirianni was crazier than it is now. 00:19:36 Speaker 7: But your ship, you know, you're forgot the Philly guys. What's he beg They're saying, you said we won. The Philly guys saying we won because Serohanni should get fired. You just lost thirty two to nine to the Bucks, and you just had the biggest fall from Grace maybe in the last decade. 00:19:58 Speaker 1: Him Jack last year. He's still talking Jack. 00:20:01 Speaker 7: Though, And then you guys just lost how many games in the back half of the season. 00:20:04 Speaker 9: Okay, then talk. 00:20:06 Speaker 2: So Sirianni, I like, I'm on like bull side. Hei it's like I can understand if he gets fired. I guess because of the ownership with the Eagles. Like Peterson, he won the Super Bowl and then once he had a bad year, they fucking canned him. 00:20:18 Speaker 1: So this ownership group probably is. 00:20:20 Speaker 2: Going to fire Sirianni if they, Like I don't necessarily think so either. 00:20:26 Speaker 7: I think like I agree with that's on the big Yeah, but Jack the biggest nine and eight Buccaneers team. 00:20:40 Speaker 1: Nine and eight team. So if a team gets blown out in the Super Bowl, the should get the coach there. 00:20:45 Speaker 7: There's been a lot of things leading up from the last seven weeks with the Eagles. 00:20:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, they've gone backwards, dude, Yeah, a lot of question marks. I saw a clip in October about the Eagles how and it's like this conspiracy theory and literally and then the clip was they will lose in the wild card round and their OC. Yeah, the OC like went to the Colts and then back into the sixteen after that season that OC went to the Colts. And there was a whole bunch of different things that were like when you look at history's oh you kind of look at your like, oh, shit's adding up. I wish I had more of a recall on it because you know the coach end up getting fired after that too, So who knows. 00:21:20 Speaker 7: Up until the loss last night, I did not want Syrianni, nor did I think he should be fired. But that was a really bad game by the Eagles. 00:21:29 Speaker 1: It was they didn't have AJ Brown. AJ Brown. 00:21:34 Speaker 9: I'm just saying, I think we're getting a lot of. 00:21:36 Speaker 2: The defense didn't play well. Defense defense has a lot of us. Yeah, they got. 00:21:40 Speaker 12: To be their defense though, I think his name is Sean Decide was their defensive coordinator for the first eleven or twelve weeks and then they gave it to Matt Patricia and then had. 00:21:51 Speaker 1: To shake something up because. 00:21:52 Speaker 12: That's when everything went bad, Like showing Decide, they were ten and one, ten and two. 00:21:56 Speaker 1: No, they were ten and one before they and then they gave it to Patricia and then they Yeah, I don't disagree. 00:22:05 Speaker 2: I feel like he should have He should at least have the opportunity to try to answer these question marks going in next year and if they start off bad, fire him in. 00:22:12 Speaker 1: The middle of the year. Yeah, get his ass out of there. 00:22:15 Speaker 2: But to think like, oh, he's got to be going after this year though it was the coordinators. It wasn't this like at the end of the day, they they gambled wrong on a couple of pieces pieces on defense, like Sleigh lost a step. No one thought he would lose a step in a corner. You know that ship matters, Ship matters. 00:22:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, bad attackling, It was a bad game. Fix that immediately. I just want to see Rabel go to the Eagles, just so he's the head coach of AJ and the Cowboys. I think you give Rabel that much talent on the Cowboys. You think Brave? Can you think Brave would want to work with Jones? Probably not, But let me let me say, I think, you know Raves probably on the bus hang out for a second. He'd enjoy it by having a good time. Yeah, here's what I here's what I think. My scenario. Rabel gets McCarthy obviously gets fired. Rabel goes to the Cowboys. Who's his first call? Jim Schwartz calls Jim Schwartz says, hey, sorry, what happened in Cleveland? Come be my DC at the Cowboys. Now that you have so many good players on defense. The way he runs a defense fixed. His next call, he makes Arthur Smith, Hey, I'm sorry, what happened in Atlanta? You know what it is. Let's get the band back together and get us thirty five points a game again like he did with less talent at the Titans. Welcome to Dallas, Mike Rabel, and that you bring Mike Rabel and those two key points now the whole mainstream palooza on the Cowboys every single year. I will buy into. 00:23:46 Speaker 9: What was your other two points? I'm sorry the DC. 00:23:50 Speaker 1: I feel like there's a dictat I know, I know the decordinator Schwartz, Yes, the OC Arthur Smith. 00:23:57 Speaker 7: And what if also Erry Henry follows suit and comes with Rabel. 00:24:04 Speaker 1: I don't think it's a bad idea. I don't think that's a bad idea. I don't either. I thought it was. I was like, well, hold on those coordinator names. That is Cowboys fans. If you want to be successful, if you want all this praise to be legit has it hasn't been for so many years. You need Mike Rabel, you need Arthur Smith, and you need Jim Schwartz. You make those three things happen, you have a contending Super Bowl football team. 00:24:31 Speaker 2: So Mike tools Mike Rabel to the Cowboys, hard to the Chargers, m AP to the Raiders. 00:24:41 Speaker 1: Who's going to new Ing? Oh wait, wait uh may I already got I already got the mayor. Who's one of the Panthers? Have the Panthers gonna? Belichick to the Falcons? I saw he, I saw he did an interview. That would be wild to see Belichick in Atlanta. I know it'll be wild to see him really anywhere. I had a wild dream last night that was wild, not too wild, but for this, for this conversation, it was kind of wild. I had a dream I was at Harball's house and he was giving me inside ball and everything, and He's like, you know where I'm going next. I was like, Oh, what NFL team are you going to? Hees now, I'm going I'm going to college, but I'm going to a different football team, Nebraska. I'm just kiddude, South Carolina. Oh you take our ball on, JP. You're a lion. He would you one time? 00:25:24 Speaker 2: Hey shout out coach Shane Biemer, tweeting JP Hovey understanding the ass that he has right here in Nashville, Tennessee. 00:25:32 Speaker 9: That is big, big recruiting movement. 00:25:34 Speaker 2: Big recruiting moment. Hey, Shane have us up for the spring game. We'll coach the spring game. 00:25:38 Speaker 1: Now, a spring game. Get the head set on. We got to figure out what our next move could be, our next spring game coaching. Yeah, you want to come, well, you want to come? Sent Hey, who's going to be the coach of the Titans. Uh no dan Quinn? Want I heard dan Quinn Seattle game? 00:26:02 Speaker 9: Yeah, him too. I'd like Ben Johnson or Bobby Slug But. 00:26:05 Speaker 2: Ben Johnson I think is gonna go to Ben Johnson. I think is gonna go to Uh, they're talking to Philly. 00:26:12 Speaker 1: If where's Ben Johnson at wait wait. 00:26:17 Speaker 2: Wait Johnson to Uh you know when brave bravee could come here to Washington. 00:26:24 Speaker 1: Washington got a nice little job opening. Now, I wonder what that the like. I don't disagree with you. I wonder how that like new ownership is because there's not like a much of a sample size. Like you know, if you go to the Panthers, you have to have immediate success otherwise you're fucking done. Yeah, and with Washington, to me, it's like new group of guys. I'm pretty sure under like the celebrities that bought into Washington. Correct, Magic Johnson like there's a lot of guys with big personalities there, like where is their patient's level at when it comes to developing the Washington franchise, And so I me personally would be a little more nervous to go there as opposed to you see a guy Jerry Jones who has had coaches for a long time and kind of like lets things truly bleed out for as long as possible, and was like, all right, let's slaughter there. 00:27:08 Speaker 2: But the new ownership with Washington now is snyder out Like to me, it's it's nothing but greener grass with a new ownership. 00:27:15 Speaker 1: I agree with that statement. I just don't know how greener the grass is. I personally, if I'm a head coach, I want to go somewhere where I know what the expectation is based on history. Does that make sense? Yeah? And so yeah, I don't hate. I don't hate. I don't hate. We're able to to Washington. When I do hate us their uniforms. They're so lame that Wye I the name all of it. 00:27:39 Speaker 2: Their universe used to be so cool and let's not get in twisted now like with the Titans, maybe we get. 00:27:46 Speaker 1: Rich Pisatia I wouldn't hate that at all, Rich Pasatya. 00:27:51 Speaker 2: He'll be out there now. They're on a playoff run right now at Green Bay. He was in the he was on the market a couple of years ago after the Raiders. Let's just not let that fall on the wayside. Is this at your house yesterday? 00:28:01 Speaker 1: Right? 00:28:02 Speaker 2: You're damn Righty was standing out in the front yard. It's this little newsboy head on and everything. 00:28:08 Speaker 1: What was he doing there? Did you see the snowman post? 00:28:15 Speaker 13: Oh? 00:28:15 Speaker 1: I say, hey, what do you want to in the snowman? Olaf Rich Pisacia. Yeah, I got that. That's the newsboy hat you tell? Yeah, sure got it. 00:28:22 Speaker 5: Uh. 00:28:23 Speaker 7: Hey, regardless, if you're oc DC head coach fan, if you're trying to get to a game. 00:28:30 Speaker 1: Use game Time. 00:28:31 Speaker 2: Game Time is the exclusive ticketing partner of Bus with the Boys and Barstool Sports. Let's go into next week divisional games sitting there was it four teams left. We do we want to talk who winning, or we want to talk spreads. What are we doing here? Let's just talk who's winning. We'll leave the spreads for slips and picks. 00:30:05 Speaker 2: Slips and picks you can find that Thursday evening six Wait wait, wait, what time we dropping slips and picks. I didn't know Jack HadAM one. You know Jack got him for the Philly thing. Yeah, that's how you ruffles feathers. Thursday night, six pm Central Time. Slips and picks. We talk all things NFL gambling, spreads, props, all the things. The boys Taylor and Delaney, they each went ten and two. Your Boysen right here went seven and four. We're very prosperous. Yeah, very prosperous. But yeah, we'll do that slips and picks. But right now we're gonna talk who's gonna win in advance to the next round. Let's start it off. Taylor, Texas Ravens. 00:30:46 Speaker 1: I think Texans have a shot to beat them. I know we're not talking spreads. They're definitely gonna cover that big ass spread. But I think what we saw out of the Texans at a CJ. Stroud three touchdowns in the first half. The defense is playing, they're swarming to the football, they're vice tackling, they're gathering themselves in open field tackle. And the sample size I have for the Ravens to come out flat is obviously twenty nineteen. But Lamar's got that Kobe Bryant kind of mamba mentality right now, and that scares me. This is a this is a pass goodwill? Are you not picking the games? I'm gonna give me the Ravens. 00:31:20 Speaker 2: I think, well, we can fall into a lot of excitement, a lot of fluff, a lot of that window dressing with the Texans. They are playing really good football, But let's not forget about how good the fucking Ravens are. They beat the shit. They beat the breaks off of all the you know, they beat the hell out of the Niners. 00:31:35 Speaker 1: Uh. They've taken care of basically the majority of the playoff teams. Yeah. No, yeah, and not only the majority the playoff teams. They beat the breaks off the forty nine ers. 00:31:44 Speaker 2: Yeah. I like, I think the Ravens win this game. And in there at home, it's like Texans they were at Houston. Joe Flacco, you called it on some some picks. Joe Flacco is good for an interception, oh wait, he was good for two interceptions. 00:31:54 Speaker 1: One back to the house. Yes, I think I think one got yeah, yes, yes. Spread spread is eight and a half right now, yeah, I know, yeah, But we can't talk spreads. All great comments. Here's what I'd like to see. I want to see the Ravens how they did and after their bye week this past year. That's gonna tell me. That's gonna tell me where I'm gonna sit here. They won who they play? The Lions right because they. 00:32:19 Speaker 2: Played that They ended up winning because I bet against them, thinking that they would have a lull after the bye week, and Mars just got that. He's got that killer, that killer mentality. Right now, I like the Ravens. 00:32:30 Speaker 1: I'll go. I'll go Ravens, Packers, Niners. Listen, I think the Packers. Jordan Love, it's it's crazy. We're talking with Steven about this before the show. Jordan Love is incredible. He is awesome. But you saw my number one rooting four list, and I believe they have more talent, they have better coaching. Shanahan's year to finally get the Monkey office back of like figuring the whole thing out. I'm gonna take the forty nine Ers here against the Packers better coaching. Yeah that that was probably too strong statement because I love the flur. 00:33:03 Speaker 2: Well yeah that, but also like whatever Aaron Rodgers gone, and the youngest team in the league. 00:33:11 Speaker 1: I know that's and that's where I feel like the forty nine Ers will take advantage of that. And then but we can walk away the Packers regardless of score this game, if it's a thirty to nine game, just like the Eagles and the Bucks, they're walking away going we got a fucking next year. We are more contenders. Yeah. I like the Niners too. I just think they have too much, too much firepower, too much firepower, and too much of a chip on their shoulder, like they've been in this situation so many times where it's like this just feels like the year for me with the Niners. The doubt. 00:33:40 Speaker 2: Also, they'll hear the doubt creep in though, like Packers. That's the shitty part of having the bye week is these teams play and then everybody's like, oh, the Texans the Packers, Like they'll start hearing that noise. 00:33:51 Speaker 1: It'll be real, like people will really. 00:33:52 Speaker 2: Start thinking like Packers are going to win this game. Packers have a shot to win this game. 00:33:55 Speaker 1: Yeah, they have a shot to win this game. It's a it's a big spread to which we're not gonna get into. But I got the Niners, Man, Buccaneers, Lions, Lions, Lions, Yeah I like Lions, Yeah yeah, I like Lyons. 00:34:09 Speaker 2: Dude, it was U watching that game like you can. You can feel like sitting on your couch, like imagine how loud it was in that stadium because the minute, yeah, in the minutes the Rams scored, you felt like you weren't hearing anything. 00:34:24 Speaker 1: On the on on the television. I don't know why I was smumping around with. 00:34:27 Speaker 2: That, but you just know that that fan base is so fucking dialed into this year. The players feel it, the staff feels it. Like Dan Campbell like Lions got a real shot to take. 00:34:38 Speaker 1: The whole fucking thing. Oh bro, I know what's what's the future? I think the Lions and Niners NFC Championship. I love that. I love that game. That fires me up. What was the last game? I didn't even she feels the fucking chief seemed like they were back on track. They seem like playoff. 00:35:00 Speaker 2: Chiefs that I think the Bills handle them. This is no I think No, I say that, I'm speaking like I think the Bills handle them from a football eye. What do you mean, like not the bias against like the Chiefs wanting to lose, like I wanted to who the Chiefs just played Dolphins. 00:35:20 Speaker 1: I think I was picking the Chiefs to win. Did he? Yeah? I picked the Chiefs because like, hey, don't don't do that like you I remember, because then that will happen. Yes, I think this to me is like the Rams Lions last week. Like I'm excited for a good game. I think this game is gonna turn into a shootout that we saw a few years ago in the AFC Championship, and it's gonna just be awesome. I think this is gonna be a game. Whoever is the ball last is going to win the game. I would be happy for either team. You'd be happy for me. I'd rather I'd rather I'd rather I'd rather the Bills win. I'd rather the Bills win. The Chiefs have had enough success. Where was the Chiefs on? You was the Chiefs on? 00:35:59 Speaker 11: You know? 00:35:59 Speaker 1: They weren't my list? They were my list. That's why I just did that. Just now in Arrowhead. 00:36:05 Speaker 2: These are the Super Bowl champions right here. We might might jump on that buffalo. 00:36:11 Speaker 1: It's in Buffalo, my fault. I'm all over the place. Yeah, and this ain't look buffalo. Ain't dude, give me the bills. God, you like the Chiefs, JP, you like bills? Well, no, I just think I think that. 00:36:24 Speaker 2: You know, we got that triple boost. You saw the commercial winning got an appointment for the game. Here's why we had to pay. I'm not only keeping me safe, I'm keeping the rest of the boys safe. 00:36:32 Speaker 1: You know how it is. You guys are welcome. Yeah. I saw Travis Kelsey the way he should be wearing masks that close together. So that commercial with Kelsey is like, let me get an appointment from them. Yeah, yeah, I don't Yeah, Yeah, you're right. I think the bills, I mean, yeah, okay, I'll take the bills. I'll take the bills. It's hard. That's a that's a that's a tough game. I think of all these games the horse want to pick. 00:36:57 Speaker 2: It's like, I love to go Conference championship in the super Bowl, But we do that. We would do that just one week at a time. One week at a time. You can quick should we get into it? Do what but if we were to you know, I'm thinking Bills Niners. 00:37:13 Speaker 1: Super Bowl. I don't hate that at all. That's what you picked last week. Yeah, it's like it's all working out. 00:37:27 Speaker 2: Oh but chaos, chaos, super Bowl chaos, super Bowl, Lions Texans, Yes, yeah, that would be so sick. 00:37:37 Speaker 1: Chaos packers, packers, Lions packers. What the fuck am I saying? 00:37:43 Speaker 8: Texans? 00:37:45 Speaker 1: You like the Texas, man, it's all good. I do like the Texans. I do like it's over the Titans. It's over. No, that's not what I'm not going to like all of a sudden be a fan of the Texans. I think you hate the Titans. Now it's all good. 00:37:56 Speaker 9: Minute. 00:37:59 Speaker 2: No, Hey, when Taylor got done, uh, they're all talking about him, Ben Jones, all the boys talking about re establishing something at Tennessee. 00:38:08 Speaker 1: A year later, they're all bounced. 00:38:11 Speaker 2: Was this I'm saying, like, when you've been like when that generation goes, it's like, now we got to really establish something, which is true at the time, We got to really establish something here culture, like bringing like national something to be proud of. A year later, everybody's fucking gone. That is nuts, dude. The NFL is just fucking crazy. It is crazy, but yeah, I think, yeah, I do like the Texans. It sounded like the Texans. 00:38:35 Speaker 1: I like CJ. Stroud. I think when we met with him on Zoom, seeing the way he handled himself, seeing the way he handles all the press conferences, it's always like, we did a great job. Now I did a great job, And it just seems like he handles himself at a maturity level that a twenty two year old you don't see, and that fires me the fuck up, and it's getting me to be like I kind of I don't like the Texans right now. I don't like the Texans. You could have Jack you're talking about calling for Bobby Slow. 00:39:06 Speaker 7: Yeah, I want an OC minor coach to just dominated in the first time. 00:39:09 Speaker 1: You enjoy watching them right now? Like, man, I kind of like, yeah, I'm not sitting here being like Texans are a good ball club and I'm happy for c J. Stroud. 00:39:23 Speaker 2: Look y'all, y'all, it's all good. Y'all are wearing the same retro jerseys, but now it's for Houston. It ain't for Tennessee. 00:39:30 Speaker 1: That's solid. 00:39:31 Speaker 2: No, I'm just fucking with you guys, But you're right, like you let you enjoy root for C. J. Stroud coach Ryan's in his first year, Like you can't help but to like see that staff, and Yo, what is so funny about Bobby Slowick? Bobby Slowick, I forget look up his dad. I think it's Bob, but Bobby slow dad. Yeah, Bob, his dad's Bob his dad right, yeah, yeah, Bob in that spotty nuts Bobby Slowick. Scroll down career history. Look where he was in twenty thirteen. Yes, Washington, he was the Washington Redskins linebacker coach. Bob Slowick was my linebacker's coach, his son Bobby at the time. Bobby's what thirty six years old right now? So uh, that was what tw thirty ten years ago? He's twenty five, twenty six years old. He was the assistant linebacker's coach, like the intern sitting in the room. And it's nuts to me, like knowing that he is now the OC of the Texans and is about to be a very sought after head coach, whether it's in a year or two years, but it is so crazy to me because he was your guys' age, just sitting in our linebacker room like as his dad's son basically like trying to get in. He was coaching outside backers like, you know, hey, two yards deep, don't get past two yards deep. 00:40:50 Speaker 1: You gotta set the you gotta set the wall here. 00:40:52 Speaker 2: And it's just like you had this young kid trying to tell Ryan Kerrigan and Brian Rackpo things to trying to coach them and get them right. Not that people should, I'm Bobby, I'm not saying that at all, but it's so funny knowing that he was like them last year and now he's like an OC for the Texans about to get. 00:41:07 Speaker 1: A head job. Maybe get ahead job. Bro. You are seeing if you're listening to the show or watching the show, you were watching the pros of being somewhat of a journeyman in the league. Does will not know fucking everybody and every team somehow? It is crazy. 00:41:22 Speaker 9: They just better be a thirty for thirty. 00:41:24 Speaker 1: Got that. I literally zoned out the entire time that entire I have no idea what you just said, but I'm happy for me. So funny, and you brought up an insane point. 00:41:32 Speaker 2: Jack, You're right, he goes exactly like with that tree that was there during that time, Lafleur, McVeigh, Shanahan, Slowick. 00:41:43 Speaker 1: Mcd no, No, I don't think McDaniel was there. Was he McDaniel was at Washington? 00:41:50 Speaker 9: Were you there? 00:41:52 Speaker 2: But I don't remember coach McDaniel being there. I don't know if he was. I think you guys are wrong. Just go to just go to Mike McDaniel, go to his Wikipedia. 00:42:03 Speaker 9: Wide receivers coach. 00:42:04 Speaker 1: Oh my god, I did not know the greatest coaching staff to never do it. Yo. That staff was fire and Chris Forrester. 00:42:13 Speaker 2: He's got a job right now with the Niners, but I'm pretty sure he had a massive falling out a. 00:42:17 Speaker 1: Few years ago. All right, Sorry, Chris, I'm just saying, like you check out that check out that headline. 00:42:24 Speaker 2: He was, uh yeah, yeah, yeah, do you know the headline I'm talking about and looked at it. 00:42:31 Speaker 1: Go ahead, you can look that up in your own time. Just Jack was. But yeah, bro, that staff was insane. But Bobby slog Man, we gotta a connor. We got to remake that graphic. Go ahead, you can toss your boy in there. So we want Bobby Slow for the Titans job. Is that Where's that where we went to? Is that how we got here. Do what Bobby slog for the Titans job. I think that's what Jack would like to see. Who knows if he's ready for a head coaching job yet. 00:43:02 Speaker 9: I don't know if he is. 00:43:03 Speaker 7: Just you know, I see one like positive game and it's fun. 00:43:06 Speaker 9: It's like, damn, let's get that in the Titans locker room. 00:43:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think he might need another he might need another year or so. Like the only I think it was McVeigh was one year and then went to head coach because he like got in the room and he absolutely wowed the RAMS like he was more so going on the interview circuit just to like, you know, it's just like being an alternate for the Pro Bowl, like next year, you'll probably make it type of thing. He's just going to get acclimated into the interview process. And then the RAMS didn't let him leave because he just fucking crushed it. So you just never know what these ocs who are going to be interviewing the head tracks. 00:43:37 Speaker 7: Well, just a few years later, Bobby, Welcome to Tennessee, Bobby bro he comes to Tennessee. 00:43:44 Speaker 1: He's definitely coming on the bus. 00:43:46 Speaker 9: Oh he's a young guy, a thirty six. 00:43:48 Speaker 1: Ran said he was gonna come on the bus. We haven't seen that yet. Yeah, I have followed up with him. We gotta do it again, We gotta do Yeah, got it again. But any coach that comes here and needs to use cars dot com, dude. You say, I was that? 00:44:30 Speaker 2: Nothing that should be said on the microphone. I'll tell you once we get off the bus. 00:44:36 Speaker 7: Text me, okay, you want to do a twisted question, shout out, keep talking. 00:44:41 Speaker 2: And if Bobby comes on, I'll reenact his dad for that's who I did the talent show my rookie year. 00:44:47 Speaker 1: I was like his dad, and I had everybody else at different positions, and I just ran a coach's meeting the whole time basically what I did able that thing was nice. 00:45:01 Speaker 9: Yeah do you want John? 00:45:02 Speaker 7: I don want to do he twisted question shouting ever shout or keep talking ball? 00:45:07 Speaker 1: Is there anything to do you? Uh? I feel like we do. 00:45:11 Speaker 9: We're forty three and we. 00:45:12 Speaker 2: Still got another hour another we got another hour seven. Yeah, we got another hour seven for Mitch. But to say, uh, number one respects. We gotta we gotta take the hats off. Jason Kelsey one of the greatest centers to ever play the game, retiring, gone but not forgotten. 00:45:35 Speaker 1: Amen. I wonder if they would have won the Super Bowl last year if he had retired last year. Probably, yeah, for sure. Right, you know he's got to be like funk while I come back. Yeah, gotta be tired about that. He knew, he probably felt that in early December when things weren't going well for them. He's just like, God, damn, I bet he gave his had to, had to. You saw him walking off the field. It looked like he was the last guy in the on the I think. 00:46:00 Speaker 2: So he's started like hugging dudes on the sideline like yeah, where the game, and you know everybody's like hey, like announce it. Within the next twenty four hours, Like let's just sleep on it, Like, let's take some time. 00:46:10 Speaker 10: He knew. 00:46:11 Speaker 1: I mean he's like I'm getting what's next for him? Because I think he did great on Tvday night. He'd be great on the Monday night. Like I feel like that could be a lame for him, that he would slay. 00:46:21 Speaker 2: Yeah, and America loves him, you know what I mean. He's like, uh, he is like kind of like Captain America. Yeah, yeah, he's the most loved Kelsey. Disrespect to Travis. 00:46:32 Speaker 1: You don't think you think he's the most loved Kelsey. I think Travis is the most popular. 00:46:36 Speaker 2: But I think everybody loves seeing the uh you know Jason as part of the big bro and he's like, oh this guy, you know, he's very well said. 00:46:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got his head on straight type of thing. Yeah, you know, you know kids, Yeah, having a good time. Where's the fun outfits? Yeah, until he's a fun dad. Yeah, they get out there and rip around a little bit. 00:46:53 Speaker 2: Get the family stuff going on because Travis he doesn't have a family yet. 00:46:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be interesting today. See, uh, it'd be one day. It'll be interest just to see what happens with the New Heights podcast because it's a seasonal podcast, right, it just happens during the season. 00:47:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, they do a great job during football season. You guys do a great job. I love how you guys get your rest in the off season. 00:47:10 Speaker 1: Hell, we love how they get the rest of the off I think get the rest of the off season. No, they do. They crush it though. 00:47:15 Speaker 2: And Jason, he will be a stud when whatever he does he goes into coaching. 00:47:21 Speaker 1: No, there's no way. 00:47:22 Speaker 8: Now. 00:47:22 Speaker 1: I just can't see being it. Being a player for as long as we were, I cannot imagine being a coach. I know you wanted to coach. Yeah, I still might get back in there one day. Really I think no, not like, don't do the pod and then no, I don't. I don't know. 00:47:36 Speaker 2: I just think like I have no clue. Who knows what the future holds. But I there's always that little itch. It's like fucking get in there, get it. You know you want to. 00:47:44 Speaker 1: You know what we should do is just one year, go coach a high school fotball team. I think that would be I think that'd be awesome. 00:47:53 Speaker 2: But I think if you pour into this high schoolers for one year, there ain't no, just one year about it? 00:47:57 Speaker 7: Well, what a high school do you guys want to do in the local area, just in Nashville. If you have, what's the worst one? Probably Ravenwood High School. 00:48:09 Speaker 9: And that's a good joke for the lot. 00:48:11 Speaker 1: All right, we'll do Ravenwood. 00:48:13 Speaker 7: All right, Yeah we're back and you go to Brwin Ravenwood basketball game. 00:48:17 Speaker 9: But you're Ravenwood. 00:48:19 Speaker 7: Well that that means you only have one place, and that's the home of the Bruins, the Brentwood High Bruins, baby, and that'd be a rivalry game for the Ages. 00:48:27 Speaker 2: So yeah, I just think coaching would be fun, Like I've always wanted to coach. 00:48:32 Speaker 1: Hey just moved away from that. 00:48:33 Speaker 2: I was just no, I'm getting hyped up for the Bruins. Let's go getting hyped up back and imagine myself on the sideline with the Bruins, man bringing the state championship. 00:48:42 Speaker 1: How many y'all have. 00:48:43 Speaker 7: One in the last like I think maybe one ever and it was two thousand. 00:48:49 Speaker 1: Bring it home, man, let's shot chase the second one. 00:48:51 Speaker 9: We need that. 00:48:54 Speaker 2: But no, I'm with you, say why I play that so long and then go go into another career where the are even longer, bring into. 00:49:02 Speaker 1: It with less money, and then the way you have to work up essentially just starting over. Yeah, but I would do I would do it as but I would go I would have to be a. 00:49:12 Speaker 2: Position coach right out of the gate. You yeah, buying, I think, I think. I think network wise, i'd be I could, I could make that happen. 00:49:20 Speaker 1: Yes. Would you want to do college or NFL? I would want to do NFL. 00:49:25 Speaker 2: Really, It's like I don't want to have the double job of recruiting and coaching. 00:49:31 Speaker 1: Yeah, so run the clock at all times. Yeah that In the NFL you just get to coach. 00:49:37 Speaker 2: But what I would love more about college is they're younger. It's like the businesses. You know, even though NIL is there now, but you're you can you can imprint them on more. You can imprint on them more than you could NFL guys. Like NFL guys could be just like a revolving door. Yeah, I get that. I think college would be more fun. Just the vibes of a college town and then developing eighteen to twenty two year olds. Yeah yeah, raw and you want to like you see them like gaining skills that you've taught them. I think it's also the recruiting part would suck, like being on the travel all the time in the offseason, going to had a flight on the Louisiana to get this guy or whatever. But I feel like nil is going to that'll evolve and it's something like, hey, how about you want I'll see what you do. 00:50:18 Speaker 1: Yeah, you know like you yeah, you're not doing busits. 00:50:21 Speaker 2: You're more so just letting your agent at that point, Yeah, let them talk negotiating. 00:50:26 Speaker 1: Someone had a unique take and I wonder if you guys like this or not. So with how college is developing, where thirty two, there's thirty two NFL teams. Each team buys two college teams, so it becomes a minor league team. Each team buys two teams. So like let's just say, see you would buy Michigan Nebraska. Yes, that'd be hilarious two teams to buy, but yeah, they buy two teams and they put a salary cap and it becomes a minor league of the NFL. And then you cycle your guys through where you can go from like you take your guys from Nebraska to your guys from Michigan, and then that's how you get them. The developmental league. 00:51:01 Speaker 2: I haven't thought this through whatsoever, but it kind of I I've kind of fucked with it with it. 00:51:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate it. Yeah. It completely tears apart college football. It kills college football, and it's such a passionate fan base and all that. And then like the idea of like you can only go like because you're in you went to that school, you essentially to be like what NFL team do I want to go to? All right, I want to go to the Eagles, So I need to go to these two colleges now, yeah, you know, it's the college spirit out of it. The college spirit completely leaves. Just like I was on it now I'm off it. Gone. Yeah, that's the best one. Catching you early. Yeah. If I give you time to think about stuff, it's like you become too cemented in that opinion. But yeah, that's at this twisted question dude. 00:51:42 Speaker 2: All right, match here we go. Twisted question brought twist by Twisted Tea. Keep it twisted with the boys the smoothest herd iced tea out there kicking off the new year Right Championship Season Championship Drinks. 00:51:53 Speaker 1: Keep it twisted with Twisted Tea. 00:51:55 Speaker 2: Kick Off twenty twenty four in the NFL Playoffs with Twisted Tea A Mitch Carsley redemption and I say redemption. He hasn't had this bad question yet because that will be on next week's episode. And there was a massive we had that we had to sit down and have one on one uh and talk about how he's finding these twisted questions because they're just not up to par with where we'd like to see these twisted questions. 00:52:21 Speaker 1: So now, Mitch Carsley, Mitch, how much of a blender are you in right now? 00:52:27 Speaker 12: The worst, the worst blender and not even talked into the mic. Yes, and I got Jack back here just rubbing my back. 00:52:33 Speaker 8: Just making me feel super uncomfortable. 00:52:35 Speaker 2: Hey, for all of the for the Carsly family out there watching right now, make sure you do not miss next week's episode. 00:52:41 Speaker 1: Yes, it's very like of all the people to watch that episode, you are the most important people to watch because we need your help. Yeah, we need your help. And dude, does it make you uncomfortable? Jack's rubbing your back? Does it makes you feel something? 00:52:52 Speaker 12: Oh, it's just like he's he's doing it in like a condescending way, like he's like grabbing my neck at me on top of the head. 00:52:58 Speaker 1: Like he's just if you could fight one person on this bus right now? Who to be? Okay? I saw I wanted to hear that. Let's hear your twisted question. Brother? 00:53:04 Speaker 12: All right, I feel like this one, this one is very relevant towards you two. 00:53:09 Speaker 1: Would you rather give up cursing or give up ice cream? Give up cursing? Cursing? God, oh my god, let's take a five minute break. We'll be back after five minutes. God damn it, Mitch, and we'll spill this coffee. That's how you know Will's mad as fuck? All right, match, cussing is your answer? Do you want to give it another shot? So you're quitting too. 00:53:54 Speaker 2: So you spent the weekend in all of the snow day yesterday, you spent MLK day looking up this twisted question? 00:54:00 Speaker 1: Would you rather give up curse? 00:54:02 Speaker 12: I have like four or five others, but I feel like they're gonna get the same reaction. 00:54:07 Speaker 2: But Mitch, Hey, Mitch, would you rather stop cursing and clean up some of your language or give up ice cream forever? 00:54:17 Speaker 1: I don't eat ice cream, so ice cream you don't really curse, Mitch. You don't eat any ice cream? Bro, I know, so you don't fuck with d Q. I don't know Jenny's. I've had there. I've had Jenny's more than I thought. Derek Coldson, you've had a you had a milkshake at uh mister Spots, all of you. You love it really good. I really like this gufshake. I'm having a great time. Tailor, Yes, and I and you thought this is gonna be the one where they sit back and really have to think. It's like a light bulb went off in your head and you thought this final I both cursed a lot, and y'all both like ice cream. 00:54:58 Speaker 2: I just saw Will post this gift card to DQ over the weekend, and I'm still going to ask this question, is what you thought? 00:55:05 Speaker 1: I've never really watched Bust with the Boys before, because if I did, I realize that Tailor and will curse way less now than they did before. 00:55:15 Speaker 8: I don't want to. 00:55:15 Speaker 1: I don't want this responsibility. Mitch, gooey buttercake from Jenny's Birthday cake remix? How often have you heard us talk about those ice creams a lot? You just gotta use your head. What's in there? Nothing? Apparently? What's going on in that fucking massive noggin. I hope you want to know my Selfish hope is is that we got your family's attention when they were tuned in for that moment, and when you said cursing or ice cream, they literally just go oh, and your grandma just goes put me in a home. I can't. Yeah, I can't do this anymore. Hey, Mitch really wants to see you. No, Yeah, come to leave me alone? Got bingo tonight? Jack? 00:56:13 Speaker 2: Would you rather give up cussing or ice cream? 00:56:17 Speaker 9: Probably ice cream for me? 00:56:20 Speaker 1: Cooper? 00:56:23 Speaker 14: I also I'd rather give up ice cream, JP, ice cream. You're such a liar. I'm gonna say this, man, don't even cuss. 00:56:39 Speaker 1: There ain't no. 00:56:40 Speaker 15: Way he's saying, not sing for me? Sorry, Mitge, I don't. I don't believe the other two, Jack or Coop. 00:56:50 Speaker 1: I don't think I believe the other two either. 00:56:52 Speaker 8: Man. 00:56:52 Speaker 1: Like to me, Jack, you don't really cuss. You lean on cussing like that. 00:56:56 Speaker 9: To No, you're fucking right. I don't, Madge, shut up. 00:57:01 Speaker 7: No, I don't need It is tough because I feel like when you crave ice cream, it's like one of those things that like it's like a full body you're like, oh God, I need ice cream. When you say fuck. There's something about the emphasis, the way it comes up the tongue. It's like it's almost just like that hitted dopamine that that first taste of ice cream is. 00:57:19 Speaker 1: So it's tough. 00:57:21 Speaker 9: I know you guys are standing on that. 00:57:23 Speaker 1: But it's not you it. Yeah, I don't think I'm giving up cussing. Yeah, ice c. 00:57:32 Speaker 16: I mean, I just want all my words at my disposal. I don't I don't really eat a lot of ice cream either. I don't know how I make I believe that, But. 00:57:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, we just make you all your words at your disposal. Yeah, you're a big free speech guy. You're a big say what you want exactly. Should we just do snow day shout outs since it were in this undred a week. 01:01:42 Speaker 1: Or you need to do whatever? Yay? It's it's like yeah, but like we could be better than that. 01:01:48 Speaker 1: So category of shouting no for shot outs today is is snow days is being in the snow. 01:01:53 Speaker 9: If you I can start too, you'll go last. I just don't think you were gonna have mine. 01:01:57 Speaker 7: Probably go ahead. Shout out for shout out to the outdoor cooler. You just throw them in the snow. 01:02:11 Speaker 7: I mean you can have that one I got, I got twelve in the back bucket. 01:02:15 Speaker 1: You know that one? We're just busting your balls anyway, Go ahead, Mitch that on ice cream. 01:02:29 Speaker 12: My shoutout, no for your shadow goes to being able to make snowballs and pel your friends with them. 01:02:34 Speaker 1: Anger. Hey, come on, man, has some USA. What's going on right? 01:02:38 Speaker 8: Know exactly what's going on right now? What are you saying? 01:02:41 Speaker 1: Let's hear your shadow? No free shadow, do it again. 01:02:43 Speaker 12: My shadow, No for your shout out is the ability to just go outside, make a ball of snow in your hands, pack it in, just pick a buddy out saying you're fucked, and then just no ice cream for you, no ice cream for me, and just helting. I went out to my balcony yesterday, made one and threw it at my roommate in the kitchen, just because. Yes, so shout out snowball flights, all. 01:03:13 Speaker 1: Right, good job, Mitch, good jawn, Mitch JP. 01:03:20 Speaker 17: Oh man, my shout out, no free shout out cou go to so many things I love the snow days. If I had to wrap it into one, oh my god, so hard. Yeah, I mean it's it's he's definitely sledding, But there's so much that comes with sledding. Like we're just out there at the hill, I'm talking to so many people I've never met before. So many people are out there with like trash bend tops that aren't working. I'm letting them borrow my sled, and then we're all in. I'm enjoying watching them enjoy it. And then they come back up the hill. We're talking about how fun it is with this sled. Always strangers, and there's just nothing better than good innocent fun on a snow day with people you haven't met and you just the bond is there on a snow day with strangers. 01:04:09 Speaker 1: So my shot I go to good innocent fun with sledding. Hi, dude, well well put together too, good delivery. I like that a lot. Yeah, because I get to truly knowing you. 01:04:20 Speaker 2: I get to imagine the expression on your face, conversation you're probably having, Like I know, right, I was like. 01:04:29 Speaker 1: I was like I could have been out there all day. What was cool is like I made a trip to Uh, where'd I go? Where I go? That was closed? Oh Whole Foods. Whole Foods was they closed early? 01:04:41 Speaker 2: But as I'm just driving, like you just see like random people just out walking around. 01:04:47 Speaker 1: Just in the middle of the street. Then you see, I saw this group of kids. 01:04:50 Speaker 2: They all have their sleds and they're like going through this fence, like slipping through this fence. 01:04:54 Speaker 1: And I'm just smiling, like, you know, that's what it's about. Good luck. Hold on that up. Coop Coop's first shoutout, no free shot out of all time. 01:05:04 Speaker 10: They took all the good answers. 01:05:06 Speaker 1: I guess. 01:05:09 Speaker 10: I'm doing that for real drive shout out, for real. 01:05:11 Speaker 1: Drive time out, time out, time out. You can use that. 01:05:16 Speaker 2: I just want to ask, are you sure you want to use somebody else giving you a no free shoutout as your first one of all time. 01:05:25 Speaker 10: I'll change it all right. Shout out to he's ready for this ball? 01:05:32 Speaker 16: Uh, shout out to stayed inside, staying warm and drink some hot chocolate. 01:05:39 Speaker 1: Last second, that's a good one. 01:05:43 Speaker 10: Yeah, they got outside covered. 01:05:47 Speaker 1: My shout out. 01:05:48 Speaker 2: Before we themed it snow Days, it was gonna be like good, like just good fun peer pressuring because We basically made him like cus like. 01:05:56 Speaker 1: Hey, are you sure you don't want to change? 01:05:57 Speaker 2: And then he was pretty close to changing it, like okay, I'll give up cussing. 01:06:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, they just get getting in a change of shout out. 01:06:03 Speaker 2: My god, my shout out, no free shoutout is going to go to building snowmen. I had a great time building the snowman with Rue. I will give her a little bit of credit, even though I think we all know she wasn't very helpful. She did put a call, she did put the sticks in his arms. I had to kind of guide it so she didn't like because again, the snow is pottery. We couldn't crush rich Pasaca just yet. But my shot out, no free shout out, building snowmen. I had a great time hands and knees piling in snow and just like immersing myself in the snow. 01:06:35 Speaker 1: I like that. That's a good one. My shout out, no free shodout is going to be having the proper amount of apparel on before you go outside, being able to get bundled up, Have the gloves on that fit, have the shoes on that your toes aren't gonna hurt, the right pants that are good, that are not gonna get wet and soggy and drip into your skin the jacket when you walk outside and you kind of just fall in the snow because it's the first snow day of the year, and you kind of make a snow angel. You roll around and in with the kids and you're kind of wrestling and you're like, not cold at all. That is such a small thing that sometimes we just go out there and just do shit. I want to gout there, and you realize, like, I've traveled fifty yards away from my house and I'm freezing. Anything about getting back, You're like, my god, I'm in hell for the next soaked. Yes, having taking the time to be properly put together before you go outside is my shadow, no free shadow, Well said man, Thank you, well said thanks brother. It's nice to bring that back. Oh good, felt nice. I think what was hell is the cult of freezing? Yeah? Did you not break it up? Oh? 01:07:48 Speaker 2: I broke it up, and I was in you know, obviously not hell, but I was in hell mentally. 01:07:53 Speaker 1: Yeah. Did you see mine yesterday? My little red thermometer, a little thermometer needle. Yeah, yeah, miserable I was. 01:08:06 Speaker 2: I mean, I thought I had frostpect for a second when I came in, I had I was red all over my body, like splot like spotty red. My feet didn't feel good because all you were like walking in the snow after and it's just they numb up and it's like, oh shit, it might be over. I might be like the old boy off mister Deed's yeah blackfoot, yeah black. 01:08:23 Speaker 1: I don't taking it because I saw a Charles post about you kind of just walking around in the back patty, and I thought, that's not that's not it. That's nice. There's a level of getting in a cold tub though, that makes you feel like a fucking alpha male when there's snow outside. I didn't today. Were you sitting there and you're just looking around and you're like, I'm consciously making myself colder when it's twelve degrees outside. That is a tough bullshit, right there? You do it? Uh? You just do a bear? Do you go? Or do you go? Sona before? I usually do Today I did it bear because you know your boys, your boys, hey, you know the way you kind of say you know? I usually yeah, but today, No, today I did it bear because I'm trying to get the boys ready for the that hoop Is that cap good work? Why are you trying to do this to Coop joll Just I think it's fun right now. He's being a good sport about it. Yeah, maybe he goes home and calls his parents. He's in a fucking blender. Every single thing you say or do he overthinks. Right now. Yeah, today today I did. Today was miserable. But usually when I say usually, I mean I've kind of gone like fifty days in a row of some sort of cold therapy, whether it's a just a cold shower or whatever. Thanks, thanks JP, and I uh hey, hey, we know we know that one time Montana JP. Come on, boys, I did it. Sometimes I do it like I did it today, And I haven't put the little check mark thing up yet, but you know I need a fucking defender. We know that's coming. What is it gonna be day forty nine? I don't know. I've actually like missed posting days too, but yeah, yeah, something around there. You know I'm out on that rich Eyesen grime. Anyway, I fucking did it or nothing? Boys? 01:10:12 Speaker 2: Oh well, what else we got? Derrick Henry Pod This was an all Time Pod. Everybody's gonna love it from talking about very literally, Uh, Derek came on, Rapey got fired, like twenty minutes for Derek came on, So we talked about rave getting fired. We talk about uh, possibly that being the last time he wore the two tone blue, talk about what his future looks like. We had some good old reminiscing living in the old glory days. 01:10:38 Speaker 1: You were getting flowers, Yeah, did I get flowers? Yeah? He was talking about the foundational pieces of the Titans, and he did He's like you more. I saw him he on Instagram. 01:10:52 Speaker 2: He said something about like Will likes Windy's Burgers, and I wish we would have got back into that good old argument. That was a fun That was a fun moment when we went in the next day and everyone's fucking arguing about five guys Wendy's. 01:11:03 Speaker 1: You know, five guys does trump Wendy's no question. 01:11:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, like it's that's not even close. But so we don't get off the rails and so. 01:11:12 Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't need to do that, but yeah I need but enjoy this. 01:11:19 Speaker 2: Derick Henry Pod, don't forget to subscribe comment. You know, everybody talk about their favorite curse words or talk about Mitch's a twisted question. 01:11:29 Speaker 8: Give me twisted questions. 01:11:30 Speaker 2: Please either give us twisted questions or give us your resume because we might be looking for uh new producer. Well appreciate you guys tuning in. Enjoy the Derek Henry episode. 01:11:40 Speaker 8: Yeah, one, two testing, three four testing. 01:11:45 Speaker 1: It's dropping the ball with the king on the bus man. 01:11:47 Speaker 8: It's crazy, it's all good. 01:11:49 Speaker 1: We were we were in Athens in September and that kid, that Delan really kid, they number one quarterback that ended up going to Nebraska. They were like bragging around, like that's the number one kid in the class. He's coming here. He was from Arizona and move to Georgia. Like he had like a Georgia headband on. Was like seemed like he was like the spokesman for that class. And then he did go to the Huskies. Do anybody know why happened? 01:12:12 Speaker 2: While his dad played in Nebraska and his uncle is the old line coach in Nebraska. So a lot of I saw that, that's right, that's right, right, right, But you weren't Yeah, I mean, you wouldn't have been room for Michigan, right from Michigan. 01:12:26 Speaker 8: Know what Michigan, bro. 01:12:31 Speaker 11: We shot ourselves in the foot way too much, and early on in that game, the way they were getting back to the quarterback and we couldn't protect, We couldn't shoot ourself in the foot. We just did that way too many times. We had opportunities and we didn't take advantage of them. And I feel like it was a lot of back and forth, and in the end, they executed, we didn't. Then the fucking low snaps. He was like, God, damn objectively, don't get me started. 01:12:59 Speaker 1: Listen Objectively, if you look at that game, Michigan had just as many mess ups as Alabama. 01:13:05 Speaker 11: That's what I said. And they executed at the end. They definitely the end, They definitely did. I said that. I mean they had We had just as many chances as they did, and they came down to executing overtime and they did. 01:13:15 Speaker 8: We didn't. 01:13:16 Speaker 1: I mean, we're tripping over the uh over the old linement and. 01:13:22 Speaker 8: This is just me all thinking about this. 01:13:24 Speaker 1: They were going crazy, but the defensive line was going nuts. 01:13:27 Speaker 8: They're balling. 01:13:28 Speaker 17: Yeah. 01:13:29 Speaker 1: So when so last night when the game was on, you were rooting for the Huskies. 01:13:34 Speaker 11: Yeah, I wanted the Huskies win I'm not gonna lie, but at the end of the day, I'm a pair of respects or respects. Dude, Michigan the hell of the team. Through all the odds they went through the season. They was balling. I mean it was balling from the top the bottom. I can't hate. I was rooting for the Huskies, but Michigan the best team in the country. 01:13:52 Speaker 1: As an SEC guy that knows what it's like to kind of push the boundaries of what the rules are, what are you about to say it's used to kind of like being a conference at cheats. Do you guys kind of tip the cap to Michigan all that stuff? Well, I mean I ain't. 01:14:09 Speaker 11: I don't really know much about the whole thing, rather than what was on social media and on and on TV about them cheating, which I ain't really believe I know about them cheating. I think they just they were good and people were mad and realized how good they were and we're trying to stop you know what eventually happened and winning this year. So I don't really get into all that cheating stuff and and all that. Do that central Michigan acting like a I mean, I mean, I don't know the full details and you know what had come out from it. But I don't believe that was cheating. They were just better than everybody else. That's what it was. 01:14:49 Speaker 1: We'll see when when it all comes out, you feel different. What about you, how you feel about it. I think where there's smoke, there's fire. 01:14:56 Speaker 11: I mean it could there was at the end of the day, you know when you look at it early on, you know, to me, with them winning, they kind of felt like a sense of they wanted to stop what they thought eventually was gonna happen, just win, win the national championship. And I don't know, I mean, I don't think they were cheating, but I think Jim Harpbrow is a great coach. 01:15:18 Speaker 8: And you know, I feel like this year showed it. 01:15:21 Speaker 11: You gotta give credit with credits, dude, But you never know sh comes out later on. 01:15:27 Speaker 2: Another another sleeper that we have brought up, but Bama Sabing hired the linebacker coach from Michigan at the beginning. 01:15:36 Speaker 1: Remember I remember that, and I was like, immediately. 01:15:39 Speaker 11: Bro, he's actually from where I'm from. He's from Jacksonville. He was actually at BEMA when I was there. Really, yeah, George Helo. 01:15:47 Speaker 8: Yeah, he was. 01:15:47 Speaker 11: He was at BAMA when I when I came to BEMA and he left, I was, I was so funny when I saw that, and he Georgia got big too, got wold. But that was that was funny. That was that was a funny move before though. 01:16:00 Speaker 1: So what you're telling me is the SEC noticed that Michigan was starting to get good at football, and Alabama sent one of their coaches they INARBRA for a couple of years, only to bring them back and try to boil Michigan and the Rose Bowl. 01:16:10 Speaker 8: I ain't gonna say all that. 01:16:11 Speaker 2: Well, the linebacker coach got fired because of like the leading files on the computer. 01:16:16 Speaker 1: Oh that's remember, that's right. And Alabama was like, hey come over here, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you gotta get them advantage. Yeah, however, you get it how you can. Well, when they said he'll be working immediately, he will start working media, I thought all hell. I was like, oh yeah, fuck, it's about to go down. 01:16:33 Speaker 8: That's what I'm saying. 01:16:33 Speaker 11: I don't know all the details about all the scandals and what's woody going on. I ain't really know that to y'all. You know said that, But yeah, I thought that was funny. But George's before I think he just wanted to give him a little edge, which I know it could have worked, but it didn't. 01:16:50 Speaker 1: I know you're being so gracious and humble about it because I want to kind of get fiery, but no, you can't. You know. You just remember walking in. 01:16:58 Speaker 11: I saw a little polls he made about the little all the little whatever it was you posted with Jim Hopball dancing. 01:17:05 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you talk your ship. You're supposed to man long. Did I like it? Yeah? I like that ship. I just remember walking in with you and Shaan Evans in the in the you beat Alabama? 01:17:21 Speaker 8: No? 01:17:22 Speaker 1: Did you beat Alabama? No? 01:17:23 Speaker 11: I'm just glad it happened when he was now he's done playing. I'm glad because it was in the building. We were still playing. I don't know if I'll get dealt with Taylor. Then he would have had the music playing in the locker room, the whole fight song. 01:17:35 Speaker 1: Hell no, when it did playing this. 01:17:38 Speaker 2: Year, it's just not being just went to the locker room after that, knowing Derek was in there. 01:17:44 Speaker 1: I was at the facility a couple of weeks ago. That was I felt weird being there. 01:17:48 Speaker 8: Well, I got a question though. 01:17:49 Speaker 11: Yeah, I was shucked that you wouldn't needn't go to the game on the sideline is because you were waiting on me for the next day to do this podcast. No, I literally live you were just if I was struggling, wait you I'm still go to Houston and come back. 01:18:03 Speaker 8: I mean, I appreciate that. 01:18:04 Speaker 1: I'm so glad you brought that up, because literally I made sure to be down on the sidelines forty five minutes before you guys, like really even came out and I was hanging out there. You said hi to your your girl and your daughter and Sprinter. You literally ran right past me. 01:18:22 Speaker 2: I was gonna ask if you got to see him because to his point, he wanted to be at the last game, depending if it could have. 01:18:28 Speaker 8: Been the Michigan game. 01:18:31 Speaker 1: Oh, I was about Sunday. 01:18:32 Speaker 11: No, I was talking about the Michigan Enterprise. You went there the National Championship, you know. 01:18:36 Speaker 1: But we just on the solid question. 01:18:38 Speaker 8: What what game were you on the sidelines for. 01:18:44 Speaker 1: Ohio State? Yeah, State, the last year I did the semi final game. I was on the sideline. But yeah, I'm glad. I'm glad I ended up actually bringing that up because I literally put the two K chain on. 01:18:54 Speaker 13: You did you was open and get a damp up too, but he was locked in, just like grab like this this came up right because you're like visual because I'm like, at that point, I'm trying to set up to my family and get to stretch in because it's too many people. 01:19:08 Speaker 1: I'll be trying to everyone's going down television. So when I got there, a bunch of people saying hey to me as well, and I was legit while I'm like yeah, as I'm like people are saying what's up to me, I'm literally trying to look strictly for you. And it's so wild because I obviously was in that position too of like seeing dudes before games and how like zoned in everybody is and legit, Like you see Dylan and all the boys and they're like got their fucking ready to go tough guy routine on, and knowing you playing with you for so long you you were only focused on the game. I bet it was a struggle to even go say what's up to your family? You go up like, hey, good to see you, all right, quick picture, let me I gotta get out of here because you about to go do what you did. 01:19:48 Speaker 11: Yeah, because I saw your the post you made before the game, so I was like, he'll probably come come in the locker room and say it up to everybody, but you didn't. 01:19:56 Speaker 8: So I just I didn't want I was I. 01:19:58 Speaker 1: Didn't even pressed to come in the locker because a couple of weeks ago, like I said before, when I came to the facility, I brought Rabel that cowboy hat and uh, I was like, hey, like, how am I supposed to get in here? How do you guys want me to go into? Like just go in and everyone was really cool, sob Rape so like, hey can I go see what's up to the boys ended up seeing at that walkthrough. But the whole time I was there, I was like, I feel like I was like kind of fell over staying my welcome. 01:20:20 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:20:21 Speaker 1: I felt like, yeah, I'm so happy that I'm allowed to be in here. But I also didn't want to like, oh hey, Taylor, come on listen, it's over, like you got to get out of it. I didn't want to like press myself a little bit. So when it was like going in the locker room and stuff, I was like, I would have loved to go see what's up the boys. But really, like though I was there for the first quarter, I literally just came there to see you because I was like, it's my boys last game. Possibly I seen your uh the chuck. 01:20:47 Speaker 8: Yeah, just look at him. 01:20:49 Speaker 11: I actually saw a video when y'all saw raids when he came out. Yeah, I'm a little more excited to see you didn't tell that. 01:20:59 Speaker 1: He locked me up back Taylor. 01:21:00 Speaker 2: I think he was ready to hug Taylor, but Taylor just started wrestling him right away. 01:21:03 Speaker 1: I stood there first thing. I was like, you guys gonna like hug or anything. Yeah, yeah, I like, yeah, you know, dude, because I just seen him so sad in the press conferences. You know how it feels. It fucking sucks back. 01:21:19 Speaker 8: I saw that. 01:21:20 Speaker 1: I was like, man, I want to kind of like like roll him up a little bit. And he did not. It did not go well. I went like, give my huggs holding my wrist, I'm kind of just like, give me a huggers. I tried to. I tried to saw the whole thing. 01:21:33 Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, hey, I mean him getting is that surprising to you rave getting fired? 01:21:38 Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm definitely surprised. 01:21:41 Speaker 11: You know, because the body worked at you know, Raves has had since he's been there. Yeah, these last two years have been tough, but I feel like Raise is a great coach. 01:21:56 Speaker 8: He has a championship and talented. 01:21:58 Speaker 11: He's the leader of men, and he knows to get the best out of his players. I know it's a different in the front office with the personnel that they have, and you know, maybe they have a different vision. 01:22:12 Speaker 8: I'm not sure. 01:22:13 Speaker 11: I don't know all the details, but you know, I thought he'll still be the coach. I thought they'll probably just talk it out and you know, make some adjustments as as time went forward and for the future of the organization. 01:22:27 Speaker 8: But it was shocking to me. 01:22:31 Speaker 11: I'm sure Praise I have plenty of opportunities or another opportunity somewhere down the road, you know. You know, I talked to him yesterday. I told him always indebted to him. I got a lot of love for him, and you know what this is happening. You'll just wish him the best and hopefully I see him coaching again somewhere else and doing good. 01:22:48 Speaker 1: Yeah. 01:22:48 Speaker 2: I thought that was I mean, we if everybody listening right now, like this is Tuesday, when you're in nice. 01:22:53 Speaker 1: News just came out like twenty minutes o'clock right now, and the news came out on rich. 01:22:59 Speaker 2: Eyes, and I like walk over to you, wide eye, like yo, they vrabel they got him? 01:23:04 Speaker 1: Were all shot? Yeah, yeah, I was shot. 01:23:07 Speaker 2: I've been the only thing I know is just on the outside, like read Twitter, read articles and things like that. Like it seemed like there was like a i'll just say power struggle for lack of a better term right now, but like some disagreement with like whether it's him in the front office or roll clarity on who's doing what, like he doesn't need to be in full control, but with like somebody who, like who would be competent enough I guess to do that job. 01:23:28 Speaker 1: I don't know, all those struggles inside the inside that building. 01:23:32 Speaker 2: And then it seemed like he was up Uh, he was up there for possibly being traded. I was also reading like he wouldn't he would rather be fired so that way, you know, he would accept the buyout and then immediately go get another job because he will because he's a great head coach. So I was I was kind of thinking along the lines as you were, like I felt like they would get it figured out, Like I get that disagreement happens at the top, but Raves like a guy who you just what you just said, Like, he's a he's like a leader and sometimes he's tough, but he that dude is a leader of men, a leader of those guys, and he's got that championship pedigree, like he gets it. He's not It's not like he'll ever just be stuck in certain ways like we saw seeing him adapt and grow for through our time with the Titans. 01:24:15 Speaker 1: I'm sure I like. 01:24:19 Speaker 11: Yeah, but like any other coach, I mean, every coach has their ways and has their ways of doing things. But you know what I mean, Taylor can pigureback with Raves. 01:24:28 Speaker 1: You know. 01:24:28 Speaker 11: Yeah, he's a tough coach, you know, Yeah, he comes from that patriot mindset and you know sometimes he does things that you know, you don't like us, you don't agree with, but at the end of the day, you know he means well, you know, he's just trying to do whatever he thinks right to help the team be the best that they can. 01:24:47 Speaker 2: But yeah, he's somebody who has like if it's come from somebody who doesn't. And not that you ever hold coaches against not playing. But Ravee is somebody who played fourth in years. So even though it sucks, there's you know that, there's not a whole lot that I can kind of go back with right now because he's been there, done that. 01:25:02 Speaker 1: He's just trying to help us be better. 01:25:03 Speaker 8: Man, hen'a. Lets you know you played fortunes. 01:25:07 Speaker 1: I just think it's a I don't know why, because it was it was very obvious early in the season that like just from an overall talent standpoint, like there was there was a lot of transition going on. A lot of guys that used to be there aren't there. Like you, guys didn't have the ability to be true like contenders as you as the Titans have been in like three years past. Yeah, And so for me, it's like it's not Rave's job to bring in new players during the season, it's the GM's job. Like rabel is the dude that has proven he can have success with a lesser talented team, Like when you got hurt and we have have running backs by committee and we had the most injuries in NFL history and we still end up getting the one seed in twenty twenty one. Like, that's a dude that I like I. 01:25:48 Speaker 11: But I think picking back off that saying when when I got hurt, I still think we were pretty solid, you know, and and what you know this year, you know, one thing I would say is like in years past, when when ship hit the fan, even when you were there, and you were there, you can look to your left for your right and you know when when the pressure comes, you know the person to your left right is going to respond and if you need to lean on them, and you can lean on them by being in no situation was in before and in this year, like you said, when you came to the facility, it just didn't you know, it kind of felt. 01:26:26 Speaker 8: Like out of place. And whenever I came back. 01:26:30 Speaker 11: For OTA's uh earlier last year, you know, I was talking to KB. 01:26:36 Speaker 8: We both kind of felt the same way. It was like it's felt different. 01:26:38 Speaker 1: You know. 01:26:39 Speaker 11: You know when we used to come back, it was kind of like that home feeling, like we was like the old lines all together. Everybody knew everybody, and everybody was like it was all family. But it was just different this year because you had a lot of a lot of young guys, and you know, this year was like the first time I was like it's it feels like they're taking the shift. I don't know when it's gonna happen, but you can just feel it at some point they were gonna shift. 01:27:01 Speaker 1: You get those guys like Ben and guys like Will that like do a great job of like incorporating other position groups with other position groups and like keeping a glue together. When you start to lose and then you have pieces that have been there for so long, like those guys go away, it's like there's a there's a level of instability that's gonna come with that. 01:27:18 Speaker 11: And it's and it's so crazy because like in the moment in time, you know, you just playing having fun and you're out there balling, but you don't realize how short that that window is in that moment, Like how good we we had a team, bro. 01:27:36 Speaker 1: We were close, like we had some dogs. 01:27:40 Speaker 11: Yes, like we had some dogs, and it sucks that we didn't get it done. When I look back on it, and like this year I did a plan time. I was like, man, we had a team. We were solid, bro, like three years, and we enjoyed, like we enjoy each other's company, like in the locker room where everybody would laugh, everybody was cool, and then it was trying to work. We worked, you know what I'm saying, and like and we all just like we all hung out. 01:28:04 Speaker 1: We all can joke on one another. Nobody had no egos. 01:28:06 Speaker 11: Everybody can hold each other, each other accountable, everybody, you know, just like it was that that brotherhood and in the moment, you know, you don't realize like how quickly that can go by until it's gone. 01:28:19 Speaker 8: But like we had a squad, bro. 01:28:21 Speaker 2: It's so it is so excitable wearing the nine on seven run. Then the next year we went like eleven and five beat by the fucking Ravens. Remember we were staying on the sideline because we've recapped it before. But you're not even believing that it's happening to like the fourth You're like, hang on now, like we might. 01:28:37 Speaker 1: Lose this game. I know, bro, I know. Then the next year is what twelve or eleven to five again or twelve, But you guys were the one four. Yeah, the one seed, bro. It is so rare to find a team the way the Titans were built. The last six years. Will say, like I would say, like your third year until before these last two years. 01:28:58 Speaker 11: Like I just felt like but I just felt like every time, like like like eighteen we had to win and get in. Yeah, seventeen we got in, which it changes, eighteen we didn't get in, and then nineteen we finally got in, and we finally got it. Takes to the playoffs and we did what we did. I just felt like, every time we had success, we'll let this person go and then and then the next you will let that person go. I'm just like, imagine we would have kept that squad together just a little bit longer. 01:29:26 Speaker 8: What could have you feel me? 01:29:28 Speaker 1: What could have been, bro, he would have kept aj if you would have kept Johnny Smith after nineteen and then Jack left. I'm just dude, Jack was People don't realize this, and it's like it was understandable at the time that they didn't pick up his fifth year option because he had injuries and it was kind of going back and forth. So like like from a business standpoint, you understood it. Yeah, but bro, he will do not realize how consistently good Jack was in and out. He was going to give you the same guy every single week. That line see our R two sixteen and two thousand nineteen line were like the two best lines in the NFL, it was fucking awesome. And like you said, but like it's so it's so rare to find a team that truly like everybody for the most part got along. Like there's a couple of guys that you know with butt heads, like me and Jeff with butt heads, or me and Darrell Casey but heads when he was there. But like it was a level of respect. 01:30:21 Speaker 8: But yeah, I mean that's that's that's that's what you asked. 01:30:24 Speaker 11: What it's supposed to be in the locker room, and you know, we're brotherhood stuff that stuff like that gonna happen. But at the end of the day, we all knew when it was time to go do our job, that you were gonna do your job, Darrell, Jeff, we just saw it from top to bottom. 01:30:38 Speaker 1: There's always such a high level of accountability too, especially when you get tackled in the back. 01:30:42 Speaker 11: And just like and it's like I told the media, I was like between me and the old line back when we were. 01:30:50 Speaker 8: Rolling, like we when we knew we didn't have a good game. 01:30:55 Speaker 11: I felt that in all five of them felt it, and we knew like, oh yeah, we get this right, you know, really like we would joke, you know, and and you know laugh in there, but we knew we got to get it right and everybody was ready to step up. And you know, it was just that camaraderie that we had that you know, that was special that you know, I never take for granted. 01:31:18 Speaker 1: Because it's so interesting because when you're in it, though, you don't realize you know, that's all I'll say, you don't realize it. I definitely this. 01:31:27 Speaker 8: I did a lot of it, but I was like, man, man, man man. 01:31:30 Speaker 1: But it's so a the way you were able like this last game, we'll get into that, because I felt there's more to unpacked with Harball in the past, but the way you were able to essentially give yourself if it is the end for Derek and Tennessee, like the way you handled it with the speech in the stadium, the yeah, the interview at the end, because that's a Derek that not not a lot of people get to see. Like you. You go up to the podium because you are a star, and you go and talk to people and you give the answers in a political standpoint, because you're not folks on talking to media, your silkings Nuk on the ball, and but you took that five minutes to shout out the chefs, shout out there, the equipment guy, shout out all the people that no one gets credit, but literally without them, we're not be able to get you done, especially Jeff for you, like there's just so many you did. I think you did an incredible job. 01:32:14 Speaker 11: And then to pick you off that I actually forgot some people like the trainers, like Todd Todd the head trainer, I appreciate him and all he's done for me and doing whatever he can to make sure I felt good and keeping me healthy. On Mike, Matt, cam Uh Clay, Taki Taki Uh JANIEI did a great job this year, stepping in Rachel, even our strength and conditioning staff, b Bail, my dog, pushing me every single day in the weight room, Frank, both of them always having my best interests, and and Tyler and the. 01:32:57 Speaker 8: Whole in Frank's whole staff. You know, I just I just appreciate them. 01:33:00 Speaker 11: I forgot to shot them out and I appreciate everything throughout the years, and I'm always indebted to y'all and always got all that a lot of love for y'all as well. So just wanting to put that out there because I forgot. 01:33:12 Speaker 2: We interrupt this episode to bring you Optimum Nutrition. JP. Back to the episode, Yeah, you bring up the accounted accountability point where you talked about the offensive line and you when we when we had a bad game. There's multiple times where we would be on a plane ride back from a game that we lost that we didn't have the yards we wanted, we'd have the protection we wanted. It would be like you, me and the whole line and we would literally be huddled around one iPad and just dissecting that two hour flight whatever it was, dissecting every single play where things could have been better and not better, like an hour after the game. 01:34:28 Speaker 8: And then one thing you said about accountability. 01:34:31 Speaker 11: If if I had a run and I felt like, you know, something different could have happened, what what what would I come to you to ask? 01:34:39 Speaker 1: What would I say? Say, Uh, well, it was not there was It was always a run that was not good and it was obviously my fault. You'd like, tell what happened there? Run? You know what the fuck happened? Okay? 01:34:50 Speaker 11: You would come to me, and y'all would come to me and be like, hey, you gotta if you pressed a little bit more'n come off and stop off. 01:34:56 Speaker 1: You know, it was just we just had that same It. 01:34:58 Speaker 2: Shows like how important like that veteran leadership is too, like, you know, as different as it probably felt, I'm sure this year it's like with all the new faces and they just kind of don't know, you know, they don't know how to sink or swim, especially around a tough staff like braves can be at times, it's like when you have the vets, it could be like water off your back because you kind of know what time it is, whether or not somebody's being grouchy or whatever, and you guys lean on each other on like because anytime a bad game happened, the old line would always talk about it, like, you know, Taylor would literally always say, we got to get deregains two thousand yard season. We got It's always we got to get Derek this. And you would hold them acount of right when you want to like make them proud by running behind them and because they would just move the line of scrimmage. But you just always felt that conversation With young guys, you know, it's a lot more of like that. They're just trying to get like, man, hopefully I can stick around this year, Hopefully I can be here next year. There's a lot more of that individual style because of the versus the continuity that you guys had because you guys got to play together for so long and then when somebody knew would come in, they would kind of just fall in line because at least three or four of the old lineman would still kind of be there. 01:36:00 Speaker 11: Speaking of a line and having that having that chemistry. You think, right now, who to to, y'all to who is the best a line in the league? 01:36:11 Speaker 1: Best line the leagues? Probably for Niners, if Eagles or a girl? Great? Yeah, And how long Eagles? How long you think that Eagles group been together? Jason and Lane have been together for ten years, long time. 01:36:23 Speaker 11: Exactly that room exactly, So that's what I'm saying. You know, you need that. That's like, that's like a foundation. You know when when guys come in there, they know, you know, those two they gotta you know, live up to and you know they know they're gonna come to work and do their job. 01:36:40 Speaker 8: And it's standing in that room. 01:36:42 Speaker 1: It was a massive disservice me and Ben both getting hurt and getting cut the last year, like you like you would hope that one of us stayed for one more year, like Ben was for one more year, because then when you have the new guys come in, they have that leader to kind of all right, this is how we're going to hold the room. This is how things are gonna be handled in the room. Type of stuff. Because you brought it. You brought it up a bunch, like with Rabel, very hard coaching. 01:37:08 Speaker 2: Any coaching staff, any, not just the brave staff, like any staff you're on when you're young, you're kind of like sink or swim. 01:37:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, And when you have two when you have two different type of veteran groups. The veteran groups that get in the small corners, the losers that bitch and complain. Then you have the veteran groups that understand, like, yes, okay, Rabel's being hard or whatever, coaching being hard us. But there's a level of success that we know can happen. And so it's like kind of like a therapy session between all the guys. 01:37:29 Speaker 2: You're just embracing to suck together, you know, how to embrace it versus like kind of do your own thing and not necessarily have a pulse on everybody. 01:37:37 Speaker 11: Taylor, Roger, Ben, Nate, Jack, Dennis Kelly, Quiz Quiz, David Lee and tossed up then in twenty and twenty and did a great job as well. So and Brew Brew too. Bruce then and came in and grinded. I told Brude at this shows, man, you grinded, you know, for everything. You work your tail loll to get where you are. Yeah, man, we had a we had a solid group. 01:38:12 Speaker 2: It's where when all the vets leave and you basically are the old head in the exactly. 01:38:17 Speaker 8: It's definitely a different film. 01:38:18 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, especially after KB got traded. I bet then you're the lone soldier because you and KB were the same class, same whatever draft class that was different. That had to be what was that like for you with KB, because when you were talking about Ota, it's like how it didn't feel like a home. KB was on the show and we didn't talk about on the pod, but he was definitely he was alluding to the same similar feelings after one of the three of us were kind of I think the landing was there too, because we had a meeting with de Lanny for the Slips and Picks show, so there was a There was a known understanding that the Titans weren't going to be the Titans of Old this year. I think it was it was known everywhere. That's why it's so crazy that they're going to fire Rapes. There had to be some true Game of Thrones type of stuff going on for Brapes to get either or maybe rapes wanted out. I really, I really don't know what it is. Oh, no way, call me right now. Answer, just say you're on the pod and then that way if he doesn't want to a k B. 01:39:13 Speaker 11: I'm on the bust with the boys. I'm gonna call you back when when we get done. 01:39:18 Speaker 1: All right, Bet, I'm hoping you talk a little bit. Travels travel quick. 01:39:25 Speaker 8: But yeah, it was I ain't gonna lie. 01:39:27 Speaker 1: I kind of. 01:39:28 Speaker 11: I was hurt a little bit, like you said, because I know I came in with KB, and you know, we were probably like the vet vets in the group who've been you know that they're the longest between all the everybody that was there. And when they traded him, and I was just like, dang, I mean they trade KB, you know, I might be out of here too, because I mean, like when you think of a titan, I feel like KB represents all of that and more. So, you know, that's when I knew, you know, it was it was getting real. And but I was wondering what I felt when I first came back, was it was it was definitely happening, you know. So you know, it's a business and at the end of the day, the Tennessee Titans, gonna look out for what's best for the Tennessee Titans. And you know, uh, you know, everything got an expiration date. It's just something more sooner than another. So but yeah, man, it was. It's definitely a different year when I thought KB got traded and not me. 01:40:28 Speaker 1: No, but you know, everything happened for a reason. 01:40:32 Speaker 2: Did you think you were going to because you were obviously in a lot of speculation. 01:40:35 Speaker 1: I'll say, I don't know how how many conversations were taking place. 01:40:38 Speaker 8: I feel like it was. 01:40:39 Speaker 1: It was close. 01:40:40 Speaker 8: It was close, yeah, something, it was close. It was close, boys, it was. It was close. 01:40:49 Speaker 11: It was in the playoffs, Yeah it was. It was Uh I know, uh too, for sure it was. I mean, I don't know the other one. I don't know if that would have happened, but one of them I. 01:41:01 Speaker 8: Felt like it was. 01:41:02 Speaker 1: It was. 01:41:02 Speaker 8: It was pretty close. 01:41:04 Speaker 1: What makes you? A lot? 01:41:05 Speaker 11: A lot a lot went down with between you know, that little saga with with the trade and all that stuff. 01:41:12 Speaker 2: Were you wanting to were you were you wanting to go to this team or were you fully against going against going to this team? 01:41:19 Speaker 1: No? 01:41:19 Speaker 11: I mean at that time, I mean I didn't know what was going on KB, he got traded, So I'm trying to wrap my head around that. I'm just like, dang, And then, you know, after that happened, I'm just like, well, maybe they finna get all of us out of here. So at the time, I'm just trying to figure out, you know, what's going on on my side with my team and talking to my age and everything. 01:41:40 Speaker 8: You know, see him, you know what he could. 01:41:43 Speaker 11: Find out because all this stuff is out on the internet about me being shot, me being traded. So I'm like, you know, I ain't. I had to let my girl know. I mean, I didn't know what was going on, but yeah, I felt like it was almost went down. 01:42:00 Speaker 8: I think. 01:42:00 Speaker 2: So when you because you know too, like when they trade KB, it's like if you're trying to win at this moment versus like rebuild, move on, you're not trading somebody like KB, Like that's a one of the most vocal guy. Yeah, not that you're not a vocal guy, but it's like when you speak, you listen because hey, Derek stepping up here in the huddle and saying something right now, KBS a guy you don't have to like. He just he just takes command and you circle up. You get to me yourself even more because you know, you got those guys like Kim, like the bends of the world. 01:42:28 Speaker 1: He's just gonna speak up. 01:42:29 Speaker 2: So then when you're getting rid and moving on, I'm sure from your shoes, you're like, maybe they are. 01:42:34 Speaker 1: Just fully just cleaning house about to move on. That's what I thought, when you're talking about this possible trade situation. What is kind of holding you back from speaking more about it right now? 01:42:45 Speaker 11: Because I don't really I don't really know how close it was. I just know I felt like it was close. I felt like it was. It was. It was pretty close. 01:42:57 Speaker 1: Were you getting that You're getting that feeling from the agents? 01:43:03 Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah kind of because I felt like. 01:43:10 Speaker 11: This team really, really, I guess, really wanted me to, you know, come over and be a part of what they had going on. But at the same time, you know, I don't really know, you know, the communication between both sides, but. 01:43:31 Speaker 8: My acknowledgement, I felt like it was it was pretty close. 01:43:34 Speaker 1: How inane How big of a need was the running back position for this team at the time. 01:43:43 Speaker 11: I don't think it was, uh I needed that much, but I think could I have had a pretty good bit for damn Sure, for damn Sure, And do you think they were already I felt like they were already already solid. But it would have been it would have been I feel like it would have been hell to pay you. 01:44:07 Speaker 1: They would have gone from contenders to oh ship contenders. 01:44:11 Speaker 2: It would have blew up. Who do you think it is? I got two teams in my head and they're both in the a f C. Can you say if it's yes or no in the conference? 01:44:22 Speaker 1: Uh? Yes, yes, yes both AFC. Yes, yes, that takes one of mine. 01:44:28 Speaker 2: Actually, I think the way he says it would have exploded that leads me to believe more of the Ravens, because I would also think at that time too, like when you're in a duo and I could see like Callahan and who's the head coach for the Browns? 01:44:42 Speaker 1: Would job going down? Like you know you? 01:44:46 Speaker 2: You would almost like try and figure something out because Derek could plug and play there. 01:44:49 Speaker 1: Yeah the brown and the Browns is a run heavy team. No team that would take there and be like, Okay, we see what the Times have done with him, Let's do the same thing. I think who is it? Ah? Is it Jerome Brown, Jerome who's the running back forward like Jerome Ford. 01:45:02 Speaker 2: Ye, yeah, Jerome Ford and like Kareem like throughout the year, like they would be considered solid but enhance same with the Ravens. 01:45:08 Speaker 1: I don't necessarily know, I don't, I can't. 01:45:10 Speaker 2: I don't know who the starter is right now, but it seems like they're solid but with the mix of enhancement, and it would have exploded. 01:45:20 Speaker 1: At least because there's. 01:45:22 Speaker 2: Always been speculation of Lamar and Derek in the in every off season, right, Titans trying to get Lamar when Lamar's deal was up, and I'm mostly looking at you, so that way he can just say. 01:45:30 Speaker 1: He can want to hold it right now because you want to press him too hard about it. I get it, Massage. Well. 01:45:35 Speaker 11: The Ravens running back was Gus Eris Gus Bust who is pretty solid top five and touchdowns, and Justice Hill who was like the kind of like this goat back who's pretty solid as well. Then they had the rookie that was going off for a little while and ended up hurting his knee. 01:45:49 Speaker 8: But they're pretty solid and. 01:45:51 Speaker 1: Solid stable, solid enhancement yea enhanceome potential. 01:45:55 Speaker 11: Roman Jerome Ford w step then he was bad yeah, and Kareem you know, he's been solid for a while. So yeah, but it was I felt like it was. It was pretty it was it was close. It was it was pretty close Baltimore, and some stuff happened in between that that, you know, kind of yeah, but it was I felt like it was close. 01:46:14 Speaker 1: You know. I want to ask so bad about what happened in between. 01:46:17 Speaker 8: I know, I know I can't. I don't want to put too much. 01:46:21 Speaker 11: The boy is not about he's not under just say it got interesting for sure. 01:46:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, because he is still technically right now under contract with the Titans, right. 01:46:31 Speaker 1: Until March fourteenth, Yes, yes to March. Is this your last year the deal? Yeah, I'm afraid agent man. Has it been four My gosh, man, that's crazy, it really is. I mean, with a Rabel thing happening, because I listen, we can go down this lane now. But I think with Rabel leaving, it's truly like that space of like sixteen the Titans, twenty twenty one Titans is gone, another era. It's just a piece of fun history that Titan fans can look back on to be like, hey, that was a really cool time the team that probably should have done it but didn't do it. We should we should have done it. Nineteen and twenty one, we should have done it. 01:47:13 Speaker 8: We should have done it. 01:47:15 Speaker 1: I really thought to you in nineteen, bro, that we were actually gonna do it. 01:47:18 Speaker 11: That I found out for somebody that nineteen that, like we went up? What did we go ten? 01:47:26 Speaker 1: Or what we're the first quarter in Kansas City? 01:47:29 Speaker 11: Like I heard that the NFL was pulling out the stage and the shirts it had for us already. Yeah, they were pulling they were pulling out the stage for us. 01:47:38 Speaker 1: We should have ran away with that. 01:47:39 Speaker 2: I know that y'all really should have, man, because I remember watching that game and y'all were fired. 01:47:45 Speaker 8: If the homes don't scramble before halftime. 01:47:48 Speaker 1: Yes, Bro, Like oh not the shit on the d but the effort style of trying to get him to the ground. Like I know that they were tired because they were driving on them. It's two minutes. I know them to three. I know you're holding three. We win that game? Pop past Yellow. 01:48:04 Speaker 11: Dennis scored, Thennis did the I was like, oh man, it's over. I really from my dear lord and said, can I just experience that one more time that Shiit was like magical. It was like at the moment, I was so young and not realizing like what was really going on. I remember after we lost that game, deonn was like, man, I'm like, why are you so down? He's like, bro, he was like, you don't understand, Like it's hard getting back here. I was like, man, We're gonna be good. He's like, no, bro, it's hard getting back here. 01:48:35 Speaker 1: And it is. 01:48:37 Speaker 8: You know, you just don't. 01:48:38 Speaker 11: You don't realize how small a window you got and how much you got capitalize on it. But man, now, like looking back, I'm like, man, that that was. 01:48:47 Speaker 1: Like, oh no, it was like a movie. 01:48:50 Speaker 11: Like you know here, it was like a movie from like playing the Texans and you know, even with this man and then going to New England beating New England and it was my birthday going in there beating New England and Tom Brady is sending them home. The going to Baltimore and if you that energy and how that stadium was before that game, I was like, oh man, I ain't this. 01:49:14 Speaker 1: Yeah, this is right, this playoff football and the. 01:49:16 Speaker 11: Whole like going in there there were number one seed and then going to being able to play in the SC Championship. 01:49:24 Speaker 8: I mean, I was it was all the way games, but it just it felt. 01:49:27 Speaker 1: Like like home because you got to start off two and four and then it was the Kansas City Chiefs and then a bye week, so it's almost like, well, seasons pretty much over five and then y'all be KFC and then just go on the run. 01:49:41 Speaker 11: But it looks so crazy because earlier that year we had BKC at home right right, so that run it was just like. 01:49:48 Speaker 1: Do you know that when we played Kansas City at home, they were up ten zero in the first quarter. 01:49:52 Speaker 8: Yeah, that's crazy, that's crazy. 01:49:55 Speaker 1: But the thing that it even goes back to before Houston, because we were I think the last five games of the year, we need to win fourth the last five to make it, and it turns into one of those things where you're like, hey, let's co for the best and you win too, and you're like, oh, ship, we could really owe this teams, and then there's like one more. It's like, we just got to beat Houston, and the identity of running the ball was at full literally like ascension like you've never seen bro. 01:50:17 Speaker 11: Yeah, because you remember before we went on our little run. We had went to Denver and got whooked. We had that team meeting, yes, and then everybody was just like man, like nobody know what was gonna happen, and then making the quarterback change. And then I think after that we played the Chargers stop stop, and then that's when it starts started to going around and then you play and it was it was like the VIZ was so hot like that year, like after beat the Charger because it was like we was winning and like Brady was like walk through every day like we wouln't even Like I was like, man, she was giving me off. 01:50:55 Speaker 1: Like Wednesday, Thursday, our. 01:50:56 Speaker 11: Practice, Friday, the Vies were like immaculated at that time. 01:51:01 Speaker 1: Friday is the hardest practice of the week. Was was roll else it was fun. I don't know about you, but when we got into the playoffs, it was like all right, now we had to go play Patriots. In our past, I mean we played Patriots once in the playoffs got donkey. But I was thinking to myself, all right, like maybe we can put up a fight here. I really, I really know eighteen we whooped them at home. Yeah, but I also thought, like Brady his everyone's talking about it's his story. It's his storyline, it's his. The Patriots are having their like final last dance, and I'm like this, Like in my head, I'm like, I don't know if we can beat the Patriots, that'd be sick. But in mind I was, I don't think it's gonna happen. Yeah, Bro, I'm not the same thing with Kansas City that year too, when we were playing in the regular season. 01:51:44 Speaker 11: Bro, it's so crazy because, like I'm being the serious honestly I did. 01:51:49 Speaker 1: I really didn't know. 01:51:50 Speaker 11: Like how like I like, the experience is fun, but I didn't know like the significance of what we were doing. I was just like in the playoffs win games, like I just having fun. I didn't realize, like you know, like could be the ones. Look like we a game away from the super Bowl until I'm just like away. 01:52:11 Speaker 1: We were three quarters away, dude. 01:52:12 Speaker 11: And I remember talking to the going to my going to Mi met loss and talking to people like, man, we were going like unload in Miami, like we were went by every sweet like Arthur's dad was like, I mean it was like I was like, man. 01:52:27 Speaker 2: And just the way everybody the families were talking about traveling like we had that watch party when y'all played the Ravens and it was shoulder to shoulder in that first play action was it Clif Raymond? 01:52:38 Speaker 1: That was a turnover? That wasn't the first quarter quarter like the first man. It's just kind of like, Yo, they're gonna fucking do it. Yeah. Was the m v P that year they were they were like and they were kind of touched on this already. I have never like, Kiddy is really loud, Seattle is really loud that I have never seen an environment light the bank in that game, that specific game when the crowd was it was so loud before after the national anthem, it was so loud. It was definitely as if it was third and goal for the game. Right now they have when they're announcing players and there are people a getting the loudest eruptions. That talking about a center getting the loudest eruption. Some guy who's like a tight end just getting a loud eruption, Lamar comes out pale around his neck, and the place fucking blew up. Oh because once we beat the Patriots and I was like, oh, ship, hey, if we can beat the Ravens, we will go to the Super. 01:53:36 Speaker 8: Bowl and then Earl has said that it is like. 01:53:42 Speaker 1: It was over. It was crazy, Earl, I got two hundred on y'all so funny. 01:53:49 Speaker 8: That was highlights. 01:53:51 Speaker 1: Just pull up the highlights, dude. 01:53:52 Speaker 17: That game. 01:53:55 Speaker 1: And then after that you look at like we ran, we ran, We ran Wanda on third and one. It was third and one, we ran Wanda, and Wanda is an open side outside zone that literally is can only be ran to like a six man box has to be like everybody. They brought everybody in the line. Two guys off the edge and John who misses his block and the guy bounces off there can he runs it for what fifty yards? It was everything we did we cannot we we literally could not be touched. This is this is lucky. Look at that they bring so much pressure. Yeah, this rupted and that happened as like, oh my god, we're gonna win this game. No gonna win this game. My moment was when I knew win that game. 01:54:44 Speaker 11: When I got that fort down stop on Lamar and if he kind of likes we yeah, but on on that it was that that. 01:54:50 Speaker 1: It was like that first one. I was like, oh yeah, his own man, this one just scare me. A little bit there, but bro, yeah, that was like the best environment I truly I have ever seen in a in a in a football game. 01:55:03 Speaker 8: It was only it's two games. 01:55:05 Speaker 11: I was like, man, this felt like like college. It was that game and then Seattle in twenty twenty one we beat them in overtime. I was like Seattle like cause we were oh yeah, because that was when injuries were racked up. 01:55:18 Speaker 1: Like I want to say, a j no, no who it was down to, right, no, Julio. 01:55:23 Speaker 14: I think the second the same game of the year, that's the one that you got hurt pregame pre game, yes, yeah, writing pregame for that game. 01:55:31 Speaker 1: Yeah, And it was it was like, how bad were you guys? Down? 01:55:34 Speaker 11: We were down pretty I think we were down like like two touchdowns. 01:55:37 Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah. 01:55:38 Speaker 1: We end up coming back and winning over because even from this just how loud it was. 01:55:42 Speaker 11: I remember we were sitting down. I was I couldn't even hear, like I had to tell I'm like, bro, you gotta talk loud. I cannot hear. I get nothing you're saying, just. 01:55:50 Speaker 1: Mouth and stuff and hoping you're getting the whole play. It was. Isn't it crazy? Like being where being where you're at in your career now, all right, Remember I was like, lord, oh, isn't it crazy like being at this point in your career and looking back on this and being like, I really didn't appreciate it as much as I should have appreciated it. 01:56:13 Speaker 11: Bro I lively been thinking this this whole season, like I you know, I wish I would have been more present in the moment and realizing what was really going on and how special that time was, even like with football, and then how close like everybody else girls, wives, and how close it's like everybody was. 01:56:36 Speaker 8: Man, it was just the time that you know, don't come around too often. 01:56:41 Speaker 1: No, it doesn't, know, man, just sitting here literally a bunch of right now and. 01:56:47 Speaker 11: Then with you know, coach Ray, we're getting fired to day is kind of like that's like that was the book close. 01:56:56 Speaker 2: And in those moments, you think it's going to be forever. You're going on the run because. 01:57:01 Speaker 8: You didn't even think like you you think we think about you. 01:57:04 Speaker 11: Possibly not playing, you know, in the next three or four years. 01:57:08 Speaker 1: You know you you're doing it. 01:57:09 Speaker 11: You probably like you're on top of the world, like we're finn you know, do this for a long time. 01:57:14 Speaker 1: And in twenty nineteen and twenty twenty, I was playing like the best football of my life. I was like, bro, maybe I just I'm just the Tom Brady offensive lineman. Like you know what I'm saying, I'll never get old, dude, any dude. It was. But it was the coolest thing with the offensive line was we sat down and what was what yeard you get twenty twenty eighteen. 01:57:35 Speaker 11: Twenty twenty twenty twenty eighteen is when the Jaguar ninety nine yards? 01:57:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, So twenty twenty one, we're sitting down, We're like going through goals as a team. The first goal was get Derek two thousand again, because no one's no one's own two years in a row. It is the first goal where Rabel came in the next day and he's like, hey, guys, like I love the fact that you want to get Derek the record or whatever, but we should focus on like a whole team, not just individual accolades like oh yeah, rapes. He walked out and everyone was like, get there. Two thousand yards that was and you would have had it too, And that's what was so like, that's what it made. 01:58:08 Speaker 11: It made the whole thing so different. That's why you know, we had so much success we had because it was so invested like you know and one another, and you know the success that we had and when we didn't, were like, hey, what's like, what's going on? 01:58:24 Speaker 8: What are we doing? 01:58:25 Speaker 1: Yeah? 01:58:25 Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying. 01:58:26 Speaker 11: And we could do that once one another, but no egos getting involved. We might have been mad like man, but yeah, really it. 01:58:34 Speaker 2: Just sucks too, like the high level ergency that y'all had in this season, going on the ninety seven getting to the AFC Championship, knowing how hard it is, and then the next two years were literally placed in better we're sending in better situations record wise and. 01:58:49 Speaker 1: Getting a home game, getting two home games. So yeah, and just didn't just couldn't come together. You get past the Bengals in that first round, dude, we're going your first game back like you obviously like leave, you gotta feel it out a little bit, you gotta like, you know, you gotta get the rust off. And we just couldn't together. We ran fifty four to one to on third and one box I. 01:59:15 Speaker 11: Just went off of my foot, which I could have played better. Oh uh, defour foreman was was balling. I don't know, man, I just I was so excited to play. 01:59:31 Speaker 1: I don't know. 01:59:32 Speaker 11: You know, you we've been away for so long and when you come back, you just you just want to get in there and make something happen. I don't know. I was just ain't a game, man. I wish we could have just made it happen. That was that was it right there? Yeah, because it was all coming through Nashville. Yeah, all coming through Nashville, all coming Throughsville. We needed to win that game, and it would have been it'd have been us in case again in Nashville. 01:59:59 Speaker 1: You got, you got, We're taking that. 02:00:01 Speaker 8: It would have been other than I would have been the game. 02:00:03 Speaker 1: Talked about eruption dude, that game, well, when they did all the intros for everybody and it was your first game back, sold out, crowded on stadium. Knowing that Derek had used to come back when he broke his foot, at that time, I was saying, Derek can come back. I still think about that game. There is there was the Probably one of the sadder moments was at the Colts game. I mean, he was playing the whole game and then. 02:00:29 Speaker 11: I knew it earlier I'm like something right then at the time, like I started walking. It's hurting, but I feel I can still go a little bit. But yeah, I know it was broke early early in the game. 02:00:42 Speaker 1: When we went to uh, yeah, you were on my fantasy team. I tried trading you. 02:00:46 Speaker 2: Knowing that the information I knew, I was like, hey, I'll go ahead and trade Derek. He was like the number one running back in the league, and like seriously, I'm like yeah, And so I was trying to trade him, and then they came back around like, hey, well, did you know about. 02:00:57 Speaker 1: This broken foot. I was like yeah, character yeah. But with that locker room, we were sitting there, me and Ben sitting there and just kind of waiting for you because you're doing X rays and everyone kind of piled out or like let's hope it's not bad. And he just walked in seeing your face and saying like it's over. That's what you kept saying, it's done, it's over. But broken. I was like, oh my god, because you were you were on the pace. 02:01:22 Speaker 11: I have a good game that that game wasn't well, my foot was broken, but a broken foot you already had, like I had like nine hundred almost if I could have had a better game. 02:01:34 Speaker 1: Week six, Week six, no, I know, like thousands, he was gonna get it back to back. If I could have got the record record, you would have crushed the record. It would have been. 02:01:47 Speaker 8: But everything happened for a reason online because. 02:01:50 Speaker 1: The extra game was thrown in there. 02:01:52 Speaker 2: M and he would have demolished record because the year before he got to two thousand, it was at that Houston game where you needed it was always Houston one hundred in how many yards, well, one hundred and how many yards going into that last game of the season when you got your two k h. 02:02:08 Speaker 1: Two K I needed, Uh, you need something like two hundred. 02:02:11 Speaker 11: I needed two hundred and I want to say like two hundred and thirty three, two hundred and in thirty something that was not I remember because I was at seventeen seventy seven after we played Green Bay and uh, my, my girl's brother is big on numbers, and he was like, bro, that's seven seven seven, so you're gonna get that. 02:02:37 Speaker 1: Jack. 02:02:37 Speaker 8: He text me was like, seven seven seven, You're gonna get it. 02:02:39 Speaker 2: Top click on the uh the game game log, go up to the statss right under his name. 02:02:45 Speaker 8: Seventeen seventy seven after uh, the the right year. 02:02:49 Speaker 1: I remember that top right, Yes, because I was I was, uh, two. 02:02:57 Speaker 2: Hundred and fifty thirty four carries too, fifty averages seven and a half. 02:03:01 Speaker 11: Yeah, because I remember that Green Bay game because I remember we brave took us out early and I could have broke Barry Sander's record of the most consecutive hundred yard games on the road. I was like ninety three yards. I needed seven yards and I wanted to go back in, but I was just like, no, you know what it is, what it is, game is over you no reason. 02:03:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, that game was crazy too, because if you look at something like hey you need hey Derek needs two hundred and twenty two yards of twenty three yards whatever it was, and you think they no shots. I knew, like I knew had going in the game. I was like, man, I ain't gonna get I'm not gonna get it. 02:03:35 Speaker 8: But after that, like first like a couple of series, I was like, oh man, I was like, oh. 02:03:40 Speaker 1: Cooking, And then they started to cut. Then they came back. 02:03:43 Speaker 2: Look, look, I'm asking because we were about what like twenty one or something. 02:03:47 Speaker 11: I'm telling you if I we were we were up that game. I remember we had an outside zone play and I cut back across the middle and I was breaking free and somehow don come out and hit the ball and it I tell you right now, and I promise you I would have ran a three hundred yards. 02:04:05 Speaker 1: That did not happen. That was an insane play. That was Yeah, that truly was. 02:04:10 Speaker 11: He was getting off a block and it was the whole momentum ship After that, I was like, oh my god. 02:04:16 Speaker 1: Top three most mad you've probably ever been. 02:04:19 Speaker 11: And I end up from like twice that game and I only had like one. 02:04:23 Speaker 1: We were up. We were talking like, yo, we got the South locked up. You know, we just won the division. I remember talking to U T, the D line coach, and he's like, we're trying to get the the best deep rushing defense. Like everyone was talking about, hey, you got a couple of series, you're out right blah blah blah. And I was like, oh my god, and they started coming back. It actually end up working out. They came back because you wouldn't have got two thousand. This was what a game. 02:04:48 Speaker 11: Look at all the people, Hey, hey boys, this wasn't oh yeah, yeah, it was as uh, you know, I wanted to highlight something my first season, no fumbles? Can we get a clop? I said my first season? 02:05:05 Speaker 1: Yeah, knock on wood if you're with me. 02:05:08 Speaker 11: But yeah, it's been a long time coming, man. I always wanted to do that in my career. 02:05:14 Speaker 1: Got it done a little notch on the belt. I mean you had. And by the way, congrats. How many Pro Bowls now? 02:05:21 Speaker 8: Or it would have been five for my fuck the longer. 02:05:25 Speaker 1: Damn you didn't get you didn't get Pro Bowl anything to say, No, bro, they when. 02:05:30 Speaker 11: You're gonna, you're gonna you can't. Yeah, you can't be on the ballot for voting because. 02:05:36 Speaker 1: It is wild because Jeff made the Pro Bowl this year. 02:05:38 Speaker 2: What I said, I'm telling you because j Watt got hurt last year and he's still like some dudes make it yourself name alone. 02:05:44 Speaker 1: That's j Watt got it one year. 02:05:46 Speaker 8: It's still finished ninth and I missed nine games in the league. 02:05:50 Speaker 2: That's great because then all of a sudden, remember they start talking about Jonathan Taylor is the. 02:05:53 Speaker 8: M v P. 02:05:54 Speaker 1: Yeah, and they were like, what three hundred yards behind you? 02:05:57 Speaker 2: He was though, but he was, But imagine where you would have been at that year at that point in the year. 02:06:05 Speaker 1: Damn, let's just speculate. Are you getting twenty three hundred yard? You think. 02:06:11 Speaker 8: I think I would have broke the Russian record? 02:06:13 Speaker 1: No, no question? What is the What is the record? Four? 02:06:16 Speaker 8: Is five? 02:06:18 Speaker 1: How do you think you would have reset it twenty three? 02:06:22 Speaker 11: I think I think I would have rushed for I think I would have rushed close to twenty two. 02:06:32 Speaker 1: That would have been a moment too. Almost you'd almost like to get break it in the seventeen weeks, so that way there's a shadow of it. 02:06:40 Speaker 2: There's no doubt. It's like, oh, you got to cuss the extra game, Like the extra game. You just want to you just want. 02:06:46 Speaker 1: To pad it. 02:06:47 Speaker 8: What could have been? 02:06:48 Speaker 1: Man? What could have been? I mean, we're already looking at a Hall of Fame career. Brother, Like, there's a lot of things that there's a lot of things we can look back on what we're about to do, But we got a hall. You're sitting on the bus. You're gonna be a Hall of Famer someday. So of all the things in your career, that's all right, well y'all have none. I'll be like so much more to talk about with all the thing we can tell you as long as you want. Of all the things in your career with the tight what do you wish you to different? Like, what's something that you wish you handled differently did differently in your game, Like something that was like if I wish I could have fixed X, Y and Z the. 02:08:10 Speaker 11: First two years, Yeah, because I was just like my head just wasn't in it. I was just like, you know, I was had to why mes rather than just embracing it and you know, just attacking it different. That's the thing. I wish I could have just started better than eighteen, having no better approach because I had to why mes in sixteen and seventeen, which I ended up being able to start, you know, the later in the season in the playoffs, and in seventeen when eighteen came. 02:08:50 Speaker 8: You know, I just I wasn't doing what I needed to do to. 02:08:56 Speaker 11: Do what I do I wanted to, and you know end up you know in bite me uh through the season, but later on I end up doing what I needed to do and finally hitting stride. I think that's yeah, that's that's the only thing. And not winning the Super Bowl that's always gonna be in the back in mind. 02:09:14 Speaker 6: Yeah. 02:09:14 Speaker 11: Yeah, I just you know, you're getting that close and being being with the organizations as long as I have been, you just wish you could have brought at least one here because I hate seeing that only teams that haven't won the Super Bowl. 02:09:31 Speaker 1: I hate every year it comes out of the year for the Super Bowl. 02:09:34 Speaker 11: That's yeah, that's probably be my biggest regret. I remember when I first got here, used to always try to get me to talk, and it was just I don't know, my head was just went in. 02:09:46 Speaker 1: You had you. That's like part of the growing too. 02:09:48 Speaker 2: It's like, obviously hindsight's twenty twenty, but being a young player you get drafted to Marco Murray's here, like even when you know it's my first year in eighteen, but that staff will of flour in them like they you know, not that they were favoring somebody or the other, but they were really trying to get Dian in the picture. I want to say, if I remember back in old podcasts and you talked about it, it was like maybe that was the year you and Eddie talked to whatever were you Like, you're trying to do too much. 02:10:11 Speaker 1: But I feel like that's like the growth right of every player. 02:10:13 Speaker 2: But fortunately you were somebody who was able to have the awareness enough to know, like I got to start leaning this way, like into my strengths here mentally, hear and. 02:10:23 Speaker 11: Yeah, because you know, mark Ingra helped me out a lot because I always call him, always call him and you know, talk about everything. He just tell me to be patient, you know everything that happened where I wanted to my coach Burton Burns from Alabama, I'll call him a lot. Sean Alexander will always reach out to me, send me quotes from the Bible, just motivational messages that have helped me every day. And they played a big part in that as well. So I just want to like them. And then me always looking up to Eddie, you know, anytime I see him, he always had advice. And he came to a game he played in London in eighteen and he felt like I could I could have played. And then when they made the change and reached out and then gave me some advice and you know the. 02:11:04 Speaker 8: Rest was the rest was history. 02:11:07 Speaker 11: But yeah, I sent you all that article the Athletic with the guy that came out the article. She did a great job. But I ain't don't want to be cowboy. I ain't never. 02:11:21 Speaker 1: I ain't never say that. 02:11:23 Speaker 11: I said I thought the Cowboys were going to draft me, but I never I ain't I ain't want to be cowboy. I feel like whatever was supposed to happen happened, and this is where I was supposed to be. 02:11:33 Speaker 8: But I just wanted to clay that up. 02:11:35 Speaker 11: And I definitely wanted to say I didn't mention Delaney as one of my vets who was a great leader, a great teammate, and somebody that was always positive and gave me advice, always had get injury in the locker room, and somebody who always made plays when the play need to be made. 02:11:53 Speaker 8: And I got a lot of love for d Walk. 02:11:57 Speaker 1: They're ex awesome. 02:11:58 Speaker 2: Uh now that because obviously, like you're etched in stone is a Titan legend for eternity. But looking back when you were pre draft and everything else, did you have spots you you were hopeful to go to, like just being a fan of certain teams. 02:12:11 Speaker 8: I was going to the Chiefs. The Titans didn't make that call. 02:12:16 Speaker 1: What did you want to go the Yeah? Where did you want to go? Like I'm just talking like I wanted to go to Atlanta. 02:12:21 Speaker 11: I wanted to go I wanted to go to Miami. I wanted to play for the Dolphins. That's why I wanted to go That's why I thought I was going and I thought possibly I also going to go to. 02:12:39 Speaker 8: The Panthers. 02:12:41 Speaker 11: I thought was a slim chance I might abotter call Cowboys, but I figured they would probably take take Zek when they did. And then I mean, I visited Sea how but I didn't think I would I would go there. 02:12:53 Speaker 8: And yeah, I remember the Giants called. 02:12:54 Speaker 11: Me during the draft and then kans City called and Titans had to pick for them and they end up up selecting me. 02:13:03 Speaker 1: But in case he told me they were going draft me. What was your first reaction when you got drafted by the Titans. 02:13:08 Speaker 8: I was shocked. 02:13:09 Speaker 11: Yeah, well I was shot, but they were I was like, newd he's there, so you know, I'll be straight. But I just didn't understand that at the time because they had just traded for DeMarco and I'm just like, what's going on? Like I didn't know what they what the vision was. 02:13:26 Speaker 8: I was. I was shocked. I was shocked for sure. 02:13:31 Speaker 1: How'd you feel about that? But he was like I don't know. 02:13:37 Speaker 8: I was just shocked. 02:13:38 Speaker 11: And I seen him call sixth I was like, man, ain't no way anybody pick up that phone. 02:13:42 Speaker 8: I was I would pick it up and and but yeah, I was shot though. It was just crazy. 02:13:47 Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw that article. I was I was surprised. 02:13:49 Speaker 2: I didn't know that, Uh, Malarkey got fired after Amy had like uh said that he was being retained. 02:13:56 Speaker 1: Yeah. We played Kansas City that year in the playoff, and it was very well known throughout the team that, like, if we didn't win this game, he was going to get fired. I was hoping lose the game. I would never hope to lose the game, but I did not like Markie. And then we played the Patriots. We had dusted by the Patriots. I think we scored one touchdown and it was Corey Davis. It was his first s toush out of the year his rookie season. 02:14:23 Speaker 8: Yeah, that's that was a. 02:14:27 Speaker 1: Good article. A lot of things I didn't really know about. 02:14:32 Speaker 2: You know that I was saying very in depth, like a big time storyline back from the beginning. 02:14:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a yeah that that was really well written, a lot of good sources. 02:14:42 Speaker 11: It's uh, that's how so much Drill thought I didn't like him. Oh, I mean I don't know. I mean he might have thought that, but you always had love with Drew. I saw something we thought. I didn't like him because of what he said, but that seem as being the leader. 02:14:52 Speaker 1: But I ain't. 02:14:52 Speaker 8: Never had nothing frobng. 02:14:53 Speaker 1: With you didn't like Drell Casey, But Drell. 02:14:56 Speaker 11: Thought that because there was a point in time where I was I went back to s I had to show up to Oka because I was mentioning up school trying to graduate, and I came a little later. He was just sitting down the message of people who didn't show up. But I mean, I f type of way like about that. 02:15:11 Speaker 1: Well, your first couple of years, it was very difficult to know whether Derek. 02:15:14 Speaker 8: Liked you or not. Yeah, No, I was very quiet. Like I said, I was just in my head. 02:15:18 Speaker 11: And you know, I wish I would have been more attacking and you know more uh, I don't know, just more embracing the moment rather than you know, why this, why that? 02:15:35 Speaker 1: It was just a lot. 02:15:37 Speaker 8: You know, I was just you know, part of myself about and you know the whole situation. 02:15:44 Speaker 1: Was it your mentality? You think that was the biggest problem was like picking up the playbook was at the speed of everything like that was difficult for you in the beginning. I don't know, but I just didn't like it. 02:15:54 Speaker 11: And I was just like looking at everybody else that I knew and the places they were at, I was like, I ain't I didn't end up there? 02:16:01 Speaker 8: Or why I am right here? 02:16:03 Speaker 11: You know, this had all these questions rather than than just just going to get it, like just you know, forget it, like make the best of it. And I know that's the mindset I should have had, but I just was just like, you know, didn't like the situation I was in, and you know, dwelling on it too much. 02:16:24 Speaker 1: The cool perspective you get to have now is is like when you were younger, all these guys that like Zeke and the Cowboys, these other guys are in better spots essentially from like a record standpoint, from a franchise standpoint, Like you now get to have the narrative of being like you were able to make a franchise cool, like give people a reason to root for the Titans and like go from because when you got in there, five we win five games in two years. You get in and it was nine and seven, nine and seven, nine and seven, Like you were a part of taking a franchise, a poverty franchise for lack of a better word, that no one really cared about. That city was like, hey, by the way, there's a game on Sundays if you want to go catch that. But look at all the stuff there is to do here. You gave people a reason to be like, Yo, the Tennessee Titans are cool. Like, this is cool, and this is why it's cool. This is the Look at their running back. Who's that guy? He's massive? Always it's Derrick Henry. Who's Derek Henny? He won the Heisman? Oh he just ran ninety nine yards. He just did this. Yeah, look at this stuff like you. Instead of being somewhere that's already established as we'll just use cool for lack of a better word, cool, you now get to be like at this time, this timeframe in life, you were a big reason why a franchise was evaluated and kids were like, I want to root for this team. I appreciate that. 02:17:39 Speaker 11: And that's why you know, I you know, I said what I said on Instagram post, and I hope I'll left the fans with something that they could smile about and be proud about. 02:17:50 Speaker 1: And you know, I'm proud and. 02:17:53 Speaker 11: Happy that at some point they felt like they had some bragging rights for their team, and and I was to be and you too, and you're part of it too, to be able to help turn it around, because we mean, we all put in work to help. 02:18:09 Speaker 8: Do uh what what what? 02:18:11 Speaker 1: What? 02:18:11 Speaker 11: What happened throughout those years that we had that run, And you know, it was just cool to be able to do something like that, you know, me coming from Bama and then what was your record year before before? 02:18:24 Speaker 8: We can't yeah. 02:18:26 Speaker 11: And then us going that last game, missing the playoffs and then making the playoffs, and it was just it was cool, man. And I hope that all young kids were inspired. Hope I was somebody that they can look up to, somebody that they you know, grow up to want to be better than. 02:18:48 Speaker 8: At this football or anything. But like you know, I'm blessed. 02:18:53 Speaker 11: I'm thankful, you know, as a kid playing this game the impact that you know, God allow me to have. I mean, that's what you want, you know what I mean, don't you don't get no better? I mean, like I said, I want to win the Super Bowl. I ain't done playing. I ain't even closer to them playing. I still feel I can run for another two thousand. 02:19:12 Speaker 8: But that's for you know, the future to tell. But oh yeah, man, grateful. 02:19:18 Speaker 1: So what is next for Derrick Henry? 02:19:21 Speaker 2: How do you feel like you're approaching this free agency outside of like financial security. Is it like I want to be part of a super Bowl contender? 02:19:30 Speaker 8: Yeah, I definitely. 02:19:30 Speaker 11: I mean I want to be somewhere that what I mean, whatever happens that gives me the best shot of winning the Super Bowl. You know, Uh, the business side is the business side, you know, at the end of the day, I mean, it has to make sense. I'm just not gonna, you know, just just accept anything. At the same time, because you know, it's a long season. We put our bodies to a lot. At the same time, I definitely want to be on a roster that that, you know, we can go out there and put ourselves in position and be able to win games and get in the playoffs and contend for a ring. 02:20:11 Speaker 8: Yeah. 02:20:12 Speaker 1: When you when you say stuff like that, it seems like the door of the Titans is closed. And that's not a bad thing if it is not. 02:20:21 Speaker 11: I'm not I'm not saying it like it's it's closed, But I just feel like, like I said earlier, I feel like it going in in a different direction. And I feel like today definitely solidify that. And that's okay that that happens. That's the nature of the business. We want something to last for forever. Nothing nothing does, especially in this business. So you know, you know, I'll always be a Titan even if I don't come back. But at the end of the day, you know, I want to win the Super Bowl and whatever wherever that is that gives me the best chance, and that's that's what I want to do. 02:21:03 Speaker 8: But like it ain't. 02:21:05 Speaker 11: I mean, I don't you know, I have no bad blood to feel feel no type of way if if I'm not back, it's just you know, what was supposed to happen. 02:21:16 Speaker 8: Just I mean, the story already written. You know, we all just live in it. 02:21:19 Speaker 2: Yeah, his uh stats, his rank all time as the Titans running back. 02:21:26 Speaker 11: No, no, no, no, what no, I'm just giving you flowers. No no, but no, but no, but no, I just you know, I feel like I. 02:21:38 Speaker 2: Don't know, man, Here's what I mean, bro, ninety touchdowns like number one by seven, like seventeen is you're seventeen over the second place person, which is Earl Campbell, which is what a name to be to be in the conversation with he did some dope things, bro, Like Taylor was saying earlier, like you did you made like now I know that you talk like it's collected. 02:21:58 Speaker 11: It is no, no, no, no, it is collective. But it's just like, I don't know, it's just something about it. I'm just like, you know, I know parts that wise. You know, I'm in a conversation with the Grace that played here, but I just feel like, I don't know. It's black could have done so so much more. But that's just me and I ain't. You know, I'm not the reason why you're so successful. That's that's just mean. I mean, I appreciate you doing that, but I don't want to hear it though, I don't want to hear it. 02:22:30 Speaker 1: Here's what I'll say to this. There are they're pretty nuts. There are records that are so within reach and so like obviously like you're gonna do what you do. And I would never say you need to go here if we just played the hypothetical game, if you staying with the Titans, just playing the hypothetical game, I'm pretty sure you need like six hundred more yards you get ten thousand, you need you have a touchdown in this last game. You have one or two touchdowns the last game, not only not only four, but to lead to beat Eddie George or Tennessee, and then you have you need ten more touchdowns to lead. I think, being a crazy there's a record, no tim more to get a hundred touchdown tim more to get a hundred. But there's something else. There's something that I think Nate Baine was telling me about, or Puff was telling me about, and I was like, that's nuts. That is, in my mind, the incentive of legacy as opposed to you. And let's say you were thinking, like you just said, I'm gonna play a lot more. I can still run for two thousand. Hypothetically speaking, if we were sitting in a situation where you're like, I got one or two more in me staying with the Titans and getting those records and cementing what is already cemented, but just adding to the beautiful sculpture you've created of Nashville would be sick. But I, if I'm you, would not want to be at the Titans. 02:23:44 Speaker 2: So so I don't think the boys got the squad that's gonna I'm not like saying that disrespectfully. Yeah, yeah, this is your way from like you know, if people, because everybody, the whole Titans family is gonna root for Derek no matter what, no matter what they have anything. Like even when there talks to him of getting traded, everyone was not against it. It was if anything that was like on board and it's like, man ship him to a team where he can go win a super Bowl. 02:24:07 Speaker 1: He's had that type of impact that was like the same with KB. 02:24:09 Speaker 2: Everybody like, well, at least he gets to go, you know, to the Eagles, and it seems like they would at the time, like they're still in the playoffs, but hey, you get a shot to go chase the Super Bowl. But yeah, I feel you like, to me, he doesn't necessarily need all because he's say, I forget how many yards like five six hundred yards behind like Eddie George, but on seven hundred less carries. 02:24:28 Speaker 1: I mean it's a crazy number. For real. It's a crazy thing that there. I know, I know you are. 02:24:38 Speaker 2: The best, not not the best at Burger rankings, but you're one of the best to run the football. 02:24:41 Speaker 1: It is too hard to accept compliments. It's hard to get complimented, especially when we're all just in here, and the focuses on you. You're the best back in Tennessee Titans franchise history, and that includes I'm happy, I appreciate you. Let's let's make fun of Derek. Now, let's let's smell snowball time. 02:25:02 Speaker 2: What if Derek would come in dressing ten out of ten for team meeting in the morning. 02:25:09 Speaker 1: Yeah, like, what time you're getting off the dress? Like? Yeah, bro, like what are you doing? Remember when Derek had that hair, that the beastinger? 02:25:16 Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember when coach yeah, coach Ray was trying to coach one how to run the football. Like I've never run the football, but maybe if you just yeah you you you run. 02:25:24 Speaker 1: The football, priven, not me, But if you just and Derek and just sat there, yeah, just stared at him. Thinks about Derek. We make fun of them, know what we're gonna say about twenty twenty. 02:25:35 Speaker 11: That's I never forget that time about that suit and you and I was just swearing. 02:25:39 Speaker 8: I seen you tweet. 02:25:40 Speaker 11: It was like, I know we're not taking pictures right now and the Titan posting any outfits. 02:25:45 Speaker 1: He was like this suit Derek has on. I mean it is like wasn't the snake skin one. Yeah. 02:25:50 Speaker 11: It was like it was like some John Wick that's just so funny. I was like, it is man as wild Man. 02:25:58 Speaker 1: You did last time you were on the show, you said you've never won the same suit twice as I still. 02:26:01 Speaker 8: No, I did that's it again? 02:26:03 Speaker 1: Did you? Bro? 02:26:05 Speaker 18: Yeah, there's like too many you had that one. That one it was like, I remember what you're talking about. He said something about the long green When I word. 02:26:16 Speaker 1: Yeah what the line green? Was like, uh oh yeah, what did I anybody else on? They look? Imagine you and me wearing that suit. 02:26:24 Speaker 11: It's a tennis ball, man, tennis ball look like I'm ready for US Arena. 02:26:31 Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, but even like the solid one, even even. 02:26:36 Speaker 2: Daily, you'd have the fits on, you have the shoes and match every like he coming ready at all times. 02:26:43 Speaker 1: Yeah. 02:26:43 Speaker 11: I like he like disrespecting me like I ain't got no drip man, Like I ain't one of the you know, one of the best in the league. 02:26:49 Speaker 8: I don't be saying that. I just you know, I'll be quiet. 02:26:53 Speaker 11: They gotta you are. 02:26:57 Speaker 1: Is there ever a fit you put on there and you got home after a game, You're like maybe not, uh there be some fits. 02:27:06 Speaker 11: I'm just like, I don't really care today, depending on how the season was going, It's like I wanted to put something on it and go play. But it's like some fits. I get mad because I'm just like here, all we do is I don't know about y'all all just go to the stadium. 02:27:19 Speaker 1: Then I go home. 02:27:19 Speaker 11: So the outfit basically like I got a picture in it, but I ain't get to really where where like I like I want to. 02:27:25 Speaker 1: So I'm trying to get them glasses you had on the other day. Oh, I'm shot your text. Hey, everybody hit me up, like what kind of glasses with those works? 02:27:33 Speaker 6: When you get those glasses glasses where they pull them up, it was, uh. 02:27:37 Speaker 11: I think uh they were lv but they were like the pharal like line that he dropped. Yeah, yeah, yeah this past week, let's go to I G man, you pull up the little slow mo man. 02:27:48 Speaker 1: You feel But. 02:27:52 Speaker 2: Derek always says on the fist that you just like it's just people like Derek can pull it off. 02:27:58 Speaker 8: Yeah, it was. 02:27:59 Speaker 1: Fits were literally nobody else could wear those right because he they just fit them exactly how he wanted to fit. 02:28:05 Speaker 8: They'll have the old school fits. 02:28:06 Speaker 1: Man, you feeling that slow about one hundred thousand. I know you're coming out of the car. You know he's said that they're sitting right there. You're like, let me give him something you feel. 02:28:24 Speaker 6: You feel so much right here playing with me, you know, I mean, what, bro that is so funny. 02:28:37 Speaker 1: So you know what I missed? 02:28:38 Speaker 8: You miss Let's come over and we just. 02:28:42 Speaker 1: Have dinner. 02:28:42 Speaker 11: I'll come up with Jason be cooking and you know, something bruster coming up, like dang, tell you know what happened. 02:28:47 Speaker 1: You don't invite me no more. He don't need to holler at me no more. You know what happened. 02:28:50 Speaker 8: He didn't got skinny on me. 02:28:51 Speaker 11: He you know, doing his little his own thing in the world like crazy. 02:28:55 Speaker 1: Only holler at me no more. 02:28:56 Speaker 8: Man. 02:28:56 Speaker 1: You know, well, I don't want to bother you during the season. But what happened was is he came over, had dinners. We hung out. It was awesome. There's that one time we started like four hours and just talked about haunted houses and ship but there's about gravy. It was a wild deal. But you love Jason's cooking so much. I started to notice that a lot of waffles in my fridge, a lot of different, lot of different stuff in my friends, like Jason, who is four you just go, you know, I picked up some side stuff like who's that for? Who is it? He's like, okay, so you started using you started using Jason, you had to cut him off. No, I thought about it, but I thought, you know, you gotta make sure my boys tip top for the season, tip top for the season. Jason is the best chef ever. He's unreal. He yeah, do you conmember whenever you want. I was gonna invite you last night for the stream, but I couldn't left early. Like the time we did the draft at my house. Yes, there it came to the draft. We did the draft. The first pick was was you or somebody else? Was Christian McCaffrey. No, I can't. No, No, that's right because it's Ben Jones, right. And I picked Derek with like the third pick. And as soon as Derek was goes all right, man, yeah, I'm just sliding. 02:30:14 Speaker 11: The real reason why, It's like he had the wings in there and I ain't had nothing in my stomach. I'm like, man, let me get out of here. But I'm I'm lied about you. About five of them and then I leave. 02:30:25 Speaker 1: I was, uh, what's the wing place we always go to strikeout? 02:30:30 Speaker 11: And talking to him, he was like, yeah, man, I you know I don't do all his dying. 02:30:35 Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, yeah, master try to. 02:30:36 Speaker 8: And then I leave and then I hear man I was. 02:30:39 Speaker 11: I was like, he's like, yeah, Taylor had I said Taylor. 02:30:43 Speaker 1: Taylor had a couple of wings. He's like, yeah, he had a couple of Like. 02:30:46 Speaker 8: I said, Bro, so you you end up eating the wings. 02:30:49 Speaker 1: He's like, bro, I only had like one. I didn't. I didn't even eat that. Man, that is not what I heard. 02:30:54 Speaker 13: Bro. 02:30:55 Speaker 1: You know how tough it is to be a grown man being talked to like another grown man about having one wing. There for a week, he said, oh, you're not about that. You're not about the diet. Literally became a competition with Derry who could stand on the diet the longest. So what what diet? Iion? Are you on? Out? 02:31:07 Speaker 11: Cause I saw a picture of you, like I forgot what that would But you were like, it's crazy the transition you have made. 02:31:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. It's nuts because I really thought, like I was, I was a lean tackle and I thought I was not going to be that big of a change. But there's been a massive change the diet I'm doing. For the most part, I've definitely fallen off the wheels, especially this past weekend ice cream. I cannot help myself with ice cream. But I try to do no carbs, no carbs, high protein. And then I do, Uh, you were doing carnivore. I was doing carnibal. I was supposed to do carnivore. I got a bunch of blood work done. I got these little worms in my stomach, got worms for those who listening, Yeah, no, I'm all, I'm all good. I just gotta get them out of there, like stay carnivore until we could figure out the plan. So we were Montana this past weekend and Will and JP get Dairy Queen and I was like, I'm gonna stay away from that. We get stuck in Chicago for like four hours. I land. I didn't even think about it. I just ended up at Dairy Queen and I had a blizzard and later there at the game. Yeah, it was uh. 02:32:03 Speaker 2: We was at the airport and we're eating sushi and then Taylor starts seeing sushi and I don't like, I don't say anything I'm just thinking like, oh, maybe he's just like you know, he's gonna like treat himself, or maybe he's not doing Carnival for this moment. Then we were in the United Club area and then I see him come with a sandwich. 02:32:18 Speaker 1: I was like, man, that Carnival you just said fuck it today. Huh. He's like, yeah, you know how it goes. And then the next day he's like, hey, I ended up. Yeah, I dude, I do so good of staying on it for weeks, but if one thing happens, if I have like that sushi or something, there's nothing because you feel like an inconvenience for the boys because you guys want to get sushi, and. 02:32:38 Speaker 2: Because I was like, do you want to go check that one down there? Because I'm trying to think too, I was like, man, because the Italian spot the night before, I figured there'll be more of a menu. But I'm always trying to think like, hey, you know, I know you can make whatever work, but what would be a feasible spot for like carnivore. 02:32:51 Speaker 1: Right, And so the minute I have something, it just goes downhill. For me. There's the point where I spiral and I'm like I'm just starting. I mean, everything reset tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, that's always the talk recently. 02:33:02 Speaker 8: It's all good. 02:33:03 Speaker 1: Enjoy right now. Yeah, man, I'm down sixty pounds right now, I'm down sixty pounds and people are still like, hey, come to the Steelers. I'm thinking, Bro, I'm two fifty eight. No, bro, you got There's no way I can go block for anybody right now. Maybe in August sixty pounds. I can get in sixty. 02:33:19 Speaker 8: By August, you feel a lot better. 02:33:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, my back feels better, my shoulders, my knee still hurts all the time. But like from a like a joint standpoint, I noticed a massive difference. You don't even really notice when you're done what you're gonna do. I mean, he's gonna stell, he's gonna lift like that. 02:33:37 Speaker 8: My uh. I started being a podcast, you know. 02:33:42 Speaker 1: With the boys now. I know Derek was reached out to about doing a podcast a couple of years ago. Just be holding it out for nobody out there. You better, you never know. 02:33:51 Speaker 11: I don't know when I might adventure venture in two but we'll see. I've forgotten to mention it's another sad day, you know for the crew. 02:34:02 Speaker 8: Art Man. 02:34:03 Speaker 11: I know, I'm like, man, Art is ready with some ass the other day, though, what did you think about that? I mean, look, I don't mean I don't know what goes on in the locker room and if that's what they decided to do for a teammate. I'm a player, so I'm always side with the players. They felt like, you know, and I'm running back and I felt like, you know, with Jamal letton the league and touchdown last year, I ain't scoring this year. I mean, I felt like I was. From a team standpoint, I felt like I was nice of them to want to do that for him. 02:34:39 Speaker 1: But at the. 02:34:40 Speaker 11: Same time, it's like, dang, it's like and Art, that's my guy, And I felt what he coming from. 02:34:47 Speaker 8: It's just like, man, you know, it was just a little bit of bad time. 02:34:53 Speaker 11: I mean, if it was like a you know, if they're up like like like one score, probably been a little better, but they was whooping them. So I felt like Art was just like, come on, man. And his reaction, I mean, I understand his reaction that the. 02:35:06 Speaker 1: Same yeah, because he thought it was Dennis, he thought it was coach Allen. Yeah, basically Jamison like now we're gonna get him in there. My thing is like just just line up, just don't get in the victory, like line up in the formation and be like, hey, they might be running to play here. 02:35:19 Speaker 11: Yeah I feel yeah, just well yeah, just just run it, like if you're gonna want to play this, just run and play at the same time. 02:35:24 Speaker 1: That's like, I don't know, man, I'm I don't know. 02:35:28 Speaker 11: I just felt like that was kind of cool to your teammates wanting you to I don't know. 02:35:34 Speaker 1: That's like to me, I hate that it happened to Art because the arts or guy, but I love it. I love them, you do, I do? I do. I love that they schemed it up NFC South game, Like it just adds to the rivalry between the Saints and the Falcons, and I think, like for future, like that bulletin board material, remember what they did to us, Like that's what adds Like that's how Alabama and Auburn became more rivals. Like it's like dirty shit happened. That's how Michigan and Ohio State happened. Happened Art, But also it's like to me, just as to a fun storyline that inevitably will get more views going to the next time the Falcons of the Saint. 02:36:11 Speaker 11: Sports, and I love how everybody back in Jamis and having his back on the situation. 02:36:16 Speaker 1: I love Jamis. I love how I handled that afterwards. 02:36:19 Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean that's just him being him. I love how everybody backing. 02:36:22 Speaker 1: On man Jamis is so funny. Bro. 02:36:25 Speaker 2: Yes, he's like the team, the team just like so if you disagree, you disagree with the team. 02:36:30 Speaker 1: I love that post. Be so funny, dude. He's like the most like not try hard to be funny funny guy of all times. 02:36:38 Speaker 8: Bro. 02:36:38 Speaker 1: Yeah, he's always making saying the funniest ship you got win in the Super Bowl? Mm hmm. I hope the AFC for sure. For those of you. 02:36:49 Speaker 8: That purple and black. That's what I got over the Niners. 02:36:59 Speaker 1: You said that, Uh be mad? I mean, I mean, you don't worry nobody really if they're really not. 02:37:08 Speaker 11: As well, I mean they I think they probably gonna meet again. But I think that is gonna take you tomorrow, balling. 02:37:15 Speaker 1: Mentality right now too, man out of this world. 02:37:18 Speaker 11: So I think it's gonna be Baltimore and Frank if I had to guess, Buffalo can be sneaky as well because they get caught fire and then my homes and my homes. 02:37:28 Speaker 1: Yeah, but mahomes. I feel like they're just not doing it. 02:37:32 Speaker 11: But I am rooting for for Philly too. I want to see my dog here be Getter ring a j over there. 02:37:39 Speaker 1: I know, man, they just they have not trended well at the end of the year. I think the. 02:37:43 Speaker 11: Media over there, Slim Reaper, Juli over there, and Jalen, all them being Bama boys. 02:37:48 Speaker 8: I want to see Philly. 02:37:51 Speaker 1: It would be cool to see Philly make a run by. Just don't they got something broken there right now? They just can't figure it out. 02:37:58 Speaker 11: Do you feel like like Boston Philly would be a game because we didn't see San France, and. 02:38:02 Speaker 1: I think Baltimore beats the breaks off of Philly. Yeah you so, yes, the way Philly has been playing recently, but they Jalen had that finger like. 02:38:14 Speaker 8: A fully healthy Philly then they beat the breaks off of them. 02:38:16 Speaker 2: No, I thought Philly was was humming before they got to that last stretch. 02:38:20 Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. In the last like six games, it was like the playoffs because I kept saying, like, Okay, they'll get back on track this week. Okay, they'll get back on track this week and even through by the Giants, even through this, it's would be the team that's the healthiest, you know. That's why that's why stand Frand is so dangerous because they're really healthy, I know, and they do a good job of coming off the buy. 02:38:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what being shinging about Baltimore because the only really track record they haven't coming off the bias, y'all. 02:38:50 Speaker 1: Yeah. But I feel like Lamar is in that Kobe Bryant mama mentality type of situation right now, which goes back to like the beginning part of a conversation, like if you're gonna have the mama mentality, you can never reminisce. There's no like what we just did for this last hour. Like I wonder if Kobe ever like, damn, look all that I was able to accomplish. I think every now and then I think, I think. 02:39:17 Speaker 11: I think with Kobe, I mean, you gotta, you know, tip your hat to yourself. 02:39:24 Speaker 8: With what what he accomplished. I'm sure he did. 02:39:27 Speaker 11: He might not have did it because which I don't know, but like with what he accomp what he accomplished and everything that you know it did throughout his career. I mean I mean, how can you not tip that to youself on mentality? Man, you gotta have that every day every day. 02:39:50 Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Like you sit there and you're like, hey, job's not finished. And if he's got the hardest lines, like Kobe really is one of the most athletes emulate their mentality about Lamar definitely seems like he's got that right now. I really think if they can get out of the divisional round, they can go Super Bowl. Who Baltimore? Yeah, they just need to get out of that bye week and. 02:40:14 Speaker 14: If they pick up where they left off when out of Miami, I think Kansas City wins Amy. 02:40:23 Speaker 8: In that hole. 02:40:24 Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's more about the colds. Both your edge rushers get achilles and knees, Like, really, Miami's injured. 02:40:33 Speaker 2: In Kings City, they'll go in playoff mode like they've been there before. 02:40:37 Speaker 1: They've got the guys that have tasted the sweet nectar of a Super Bowl, like Casey has already beating them in the past in Germany. Give me, what are you taking? 02:40:51 Speaker 8: You know, I'm gonna take Kanas City at home? 02:40:56 Speaker 1: What about Houston, Cleveland? 02:40:58 Speaker 8: Houston Cleveland, mm hmm, I'm gonna take. 02:41:07 Speaker 1: H mm hmm. Anward whistle. 02:41:13 Speaker 2: Yeah, you never figured out how to whistle for real. 02:41:17 Speaker 1: You hit that inward one. Yeah, what I used to do. That's what I used to do. 02:41:22 Speaker 8: I'm gonna take I don't know, bro, I don't know. 02:41:28 Speaker 1: I'm thinking Houston. Yeah, I'm taking Stroud. Stroud. I think Flag is a stud, but I think gives it the ball a lot. We had this conversation, Uh, I think Stroud is really that dude. 02:41:40 Speaker 11: Playing for me to say, I think Houston as well. I mean Nick Aryan se Adam the Boy. And then you know they already played uh Cleveland, so they got a lot of film to learn from and you know, game playing off of because cool I went about three hundred the first Yeah. 02:42:03 Speaker 1: So I think I think Buffalo beats the breaks off the Steelers think the best Steelers Tampa Philly, Tampa. 02:42:12 Speaker 8: Philly, mm hmm. It depends on. 02:42:17 Speaker 11: How healthy, how healthy Philly is and if they can get to Baker, then I got Philly. 02:42:23 Speaker 1: I know, it's such a weird game, weird weird at Tampa Bay. 02:42:29 Speaker 11: I know who went in the next one though, I'm talking about after who went out of the Tempa and. 02:42:36 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're talking about want of them go to San France. I think the knocking off. 02:42:41 Speaker 8: Detroit, Detroit and the Rams, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Detroit. If it is a boy gonna play because he hurt his knee right the tight. 02:42:53 Speaker 2: End, it seems like he's got an outside chance of playing, So probably not. 02:42:58 Speaker 8: I don't think he's gonna play. 02:42:59 Speaker 1: If he don't play, I don't know. 02:43:01 Speaker 11: I feel like he gives them an edge a little bit, so I might. 02:43:09 Speaker 1: I'm probably. 02:43:10 Speaker 8: I don't know. 02:43:12 Speaker 1: I don't know thatllas green Bay one Dallas. I got green Bay, you got green Bay. Yeah, I don't think. I don't think Dallas has it when it comes out Dallas at home. I don't think Dallas hasn't when it comes down to strategic football. 02:43:29 Speaker 2: But all I feel like them at home, they're gonna be out front way better team. Yeah, Like it won't be like a crunch time situational game. Yeah, I mean, is you're right. 02:43:38 Speaker 1: I could very well be wrong about that. The Detroit and the Rams. That game is the best game in this this week in the wildcard weekend. Because we were talking this earlier, but. 02:43:49 Speaker 8: Oh boy plays. We don't play, man. 02:43:53 Speaker 1: I'm room for whichever team. I'm room for both of them anyway I want. It'd be sick for Detroit to win a Super Bowl. Yeah I did too. That would be cool for them. 02:44:02 Speaker 2: It's cool if the Rams like they taking that team because they kind of started off similar to like the what y'all did in nineteen. 02:44:07 Speaker 1: They start off like one and five or something like that, went on a run. Yeah, got anything else with Derek? I don't know. I don't think so you got anything for us? No? 02:44:18 Speaker 8: I mean, I'm good. 02:44:20 Speaker 1: This was move. 02:44:21 Speaker 8: It was cool, relaxed, it was. 02:44:22 Speaker 1: Nice, it was funisca fun reminisce, and that was Those are the best locker room talks when you sit there and you're like, what I remember remember back when this happened. What's your favorite moment as a Titan? 02:44:37 Speaker 11: My favorite moment as a title the uh we had you seen fish? 02:44:42 Speaker 1: That motherfucker individual play I'm talking about? Is it ninety nine? Yeah? Probably, because that's how it all it all started. We called it too every time, as if I might taking credit for the play call. Yeah, I called that. That was crazy. Top five teammates you've ever had yeah, I can't do that. Well, we're my I can't do that. We're for real, Okay, you gotta take that. Yeah, you're talking about in the league, like like just your t yeah NFL, like on the Titans. 02:45:15 Speaker 8: Yeah. Sure. 02:45:19 Speaker 11: He always showed me love, man, you always show me love. You know, we always locked in. 02:45:23 Speaker 1: I'll take that. I'll take and be like, yeah, yeah, right, you are. 02:45:29 Speaker 11: You are, Yeah, you're in the top. I mean, ain't let's go. 02:45:32 Speaker 1: I'll take that. I don't even need to be one. I'll take four. That sounds good to me. I'll take four. That sounds awesome outside looking in. 02:45:38 Speaker 11: Anybody that uh uh sort the hardest. 02:45:41 Speaker 1: To learn, very white, you know you gotta Yeah, that sound was hilarious with you and Roger. Hell yeah, just like because to repeat the car for a while, I said that little voice you and Roger too. I was just thinking, yeah, learned the whole thing. That song is fire. Ben Jones got to be top five. 02:46:06 Speaker 11: Ben Jones is top five, Ben Jones one Jones is. Ben Jones is up there. 02:46:13 Speaker 2: You gotta see the the table, oh for sure, and no question a Jack, you got anything. 02:46:20 Speaker 1: Jack is having a tough day with. 02:46:22 Speaker 7: The Rabel Derek, You've been one of the most influential dudes in this franchise. You said the best, like you made it cool to be a Titans fan. 02:46:33 Speaker 9: So like, all I can really say is thank you. 02:46:36 Speaker 7: Like even being in the Like Stadium this Sunday, it's like getting the Jags like one last time and like she owned them the whole career. It was cool and once again hitting on a really good thing you said, whatever like is in the future for you more football. 02:46:55 Speaker 9: Not with the Titans. I do know. 02:46:56 Speaker 7: I think I can speak for the fan base where we're Wherever you go, You're gonna have the most undying support from the Titans legion because you've given us so many good years and like we just want to see you get like one, two, or maybe three more shots. It's some kind of run. So yeah, all I can say is thanks man. You've been incredibly influential to this city and a huge part of the reason why people want to be fans here. 02:47:19 Speaker 8: I appreciate that man very well. 02:47:23 Speaker 1: Right now, very well said in the same stop, and I know you're leaving, but every year, this is the annual. You know I'm gonna come through. I still got that team. You feel me. I'm gonna be through every minority owner. 02:47:46 Speaker 8: Very very grateful for that man. 02:47:48 Speaker 1: You get to call in here, you get to make any decisions. No, I ain't, you know, I ain't.
