Speaker 1: Welcome everybody to another episode of Bachelor Happy Hour. We got a good one coming up for you. We probably should have started recording before we actually started, but Crystal is with me again as a colt. Let's love having you here, Crystal girl up being here, and it's great because Crystal's here, but also because we've got none other in the hot seat. Then I don't know if I should call him an og. I don't know if I should call him my favorite x am I giving hints. Do we know who it is? I think we get Nick vile. Nick, well, not Dean your favorite X No, Dean's not my favorite. X I've been recently told that Dean unfollowed me. I guess I was a little too. I don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. It's just been brought to my attention. Wait, why is why why you hate everyone? Or that's what they say? Isn't it what they say? What do they say? But I want to know? Why is Nick your favorite? X? Oh? Nick? Nick and I just had that's a great question. Nick and I have this mutual respect for one another. I think from the beginning we hit it off and we knew we would be friends. We knew we would. We knew probably that it wasn't going to be forever, we weren't gonna get married, But I knew this news to me, I didn't know. But from the moment I met Nick, I knew that we were going to be really cool. And we've maintained a level of respect and friendship since we've been off the show, which I don't think a lot of people like I've been on Nick season. I don't think a lot of people say that about someone they've been on a season with. You know why? And to get more specific, is that we are like minds in that way. Is that, Um, Rachel and I are opinionated and we give our thoughts. I don't think and I think a lot of people do in this world and especially Ambaschel nation, is that people equate criticism and giving an opinion is whether you like me or don't like me. Um, And yeah, so we're just getting it. Somebody turned Nick's mike up, and so yeah, I mean, I think I think Rachel respects thoughts and opinions. He's willing to give hers. I don't think Rachel is easily offended if someone criticizes her, And I think sometimes people make the mistake of when people share opinions, to be offended and then be like, oh my god, I don't like this person because they have an opinion. And I think we appreciate that about each other. And I think Crystal, you're kind of like that too, because you got a lot of criticism when you are on our season and you don't that has not held you back by any means, Like you just keep rolling with it. I think what you realize is that when you are in the public eye, there's opportunity for a lot of voice people to hear you and for you to have a voice. And I remember getting this piece of advice when I was twenty four years old, and they go, well, if people are hating, at least they know who you are. Like, you're doing something right, people, you are doing something right. And I remember hearing that. I was like, you know what, You're right. It's because I'm like busting my ass, because I'm like, I'm pushing forward, because I'm ambitious, and because I have something to say, and if people want to hear, they can hear. And if people want to chirp, then at least they're listening to what I'm saying, can you say that in the voice that you used on our season? Just really quickly. It's so hard for me. Let me go coach like twelve thousand hours, I mean, like a little more sexy show how it's done, Crystal. Oh my god, I don't even know if I could. Um, that's very soft back, you guys. I love how everyone pretends they don't listen to all these Aboutler podcasts and they all listen to about your podcasts and then they and then they start talking shit and I'm like, oh, someone said doesn't like me. And to truth is everyone just wants to be liked by everyone else. They do, they do, They totally do. All you have to do is compliment someone and those feel like I love them. But if they like they're like, well I didn't like her hair in that episode, bitch. You know, well it's so true. You know. I've even talked with some of the Castle past on Colton season of the Bachelor, and it's you know, I was talking with like Kaylin and Cassie recently and we were just like, you know, like, when you are on a show, granted it is a reality TV show, and granted is who you are, Like that is your persona to in essence, right you are? You are a character and people have opinions about that, and you need to find where you can separate yourself and not take it so personally and honestly, that's really how I was able to come out of The Bachelor and have such success in Paradise because I saw it like, okay, like where if there's a lot of opinions about the same thing, clearly I should look at that and listen to that constructive criticism and apply it and grow. But you know, it's when you're in the public eye, like you just have to be open and know that people are going to be have opinions about every single thing. That's not really just a public eye. I mean now or media. We all have access to people's opinions who we shouldn't have. But I would say that social media is the public eye. Won't see that. I don't think so. And I think my mom has three hundred followers. You know, actually my mom has more than three hundred followers, and that's three hundred people's opinions that she has no business hearing. But I think that that's what the problem is is that people think that the world is just social media, and people start valuing their worth and likes and follows, and for some people it's detrimental. For some people it gives them a big head. But that's not necessarily the public opinion, because it depends who's following you. It depends who's liking your stuff. And I think that that's the problem in a lot of it, is that people value their worth based on social media. Well, I think it goes even deeper than that. I think one of the biggest needs that people experiences feeling worthy, and that's from other people's opinions of them, and people feeling validated based on what people say and basing their self worth on the opinions of others. And I know, I'm sure having all of us gone through this process of being on TV, some more than others. But uh, Nick, but I mean, I mean, really, when you come out of it, you're just like you need to, you know, be true to your own flag and wave that high and be proud of it. No, I agree with you. So before we get into the meet, even though we really already started, I feel like there's a civil war brewing amongst Bachelor Nation cast. You get like, I just feel like, here's the thing when these civil war because I know which side I'm on. Here's the thing, here's the thing, here's the thing the North. Uh like social and it's all social Media's fault, um like with like you're like in the middle of it. When when I like on Caitlin's season was kind of the beginning with them in social media heightened the JoJo's season, and now it's like we're full blown to social media. And then it's also gotten younger and then there's like, um like yeah, other people like the JoJo's and Caitlin's and Tanner and Jade and me and like you're kind of in that, and then you have like it's like Hannah and Colton started this new wave of cast members and there's just there's this constant like it's high school and it's like the Sharks and the Jets, just like it's an old reference from the West Side story and everyone's just like everyone's pretending to be friends. Everyone's just going after the same fat fit, fun deals and and everyone's just like jocking for position and everyone's just kind of talking shit. It's kind of fun and there's just gonna be this big rivalry it's like it's like the Marvel Civil War movie, like everyone's kind of friends, like ray all kind of like each other. I wish around puppets here, Like, oh, so that was what I was going to ask you, because it does seem like things are changing in the Boucher franchise, some may say for good and some may safe for bad, and you seem to thoroughly enjoy the way things are moving, and you also are just adapt at the time. Well, well, I was going to ask you that you also are I guess from a different time, but at the same time, you seem to really late to or be friendly with the newer cast of Bats. Yeah, I'm not. Again, I like to adapt. I mean again, as we're talking about four or five years and I kind of a joke, but like again, like I used that Marvel Civil War movie Captain America movie, because like, we are all friends, we all have common experiences. But there it's equate Betel, it's very high schoolish and it can get really petty and things like that. We all have been guilty of at times maybe being petty and kind of responding to our own securities of criticism, et cetera. Et cetera. Um, and yeah, and so it is kind of kind of like that some some fan did that, like equated us to all Marvel character. It was this kind of fun which movie thinking of that? Um? I mean I was, I was Iron Man? Who was I? I didn't make the cut because I was, like, you know, I'm slightly senior and snarky and I think cerebrally and Ben was Captain America. You were I don't know who are you? Who? Who could Phoenix dark Phoenix? Well, she's an X men starting Marval world, but not the white hair in the Lightning. I want to be I don't want to be. I don't want to be that person. So, Nick, where do you see yourself? Um? In this civil war that you speak of, but being someone who's been in half a decade with a bachelor franchise and now you're seeing this wave of social media and seeing the power of influencers now and we look at how young the contestants are getting and the rise of the influencers. You guys need to I'm have a producer sitting in this room, and I know it's not necessarily her call at her fault, but you guys need to step it up at the age a little bit. It's gonna literally gonna getting a little young. But I mean, listen, I actually I think I think it was I think it was good that they did that. I think it was interesting. It makes it for great TV. I think they should skew a little bit older the next few seasons. I think if they stay this young, I think it loses a little bit of a credibility. I don't think it's an accident that you haven't had engagements the past two seasons. I think it's harder to relate to people. I mean, society in general is getting Millennials are getting married married later in life relative to previous generations. And then you have the show where you're getting younger and younger, and then you're having people like getting engaged and married and so that that doesn't necessarily shive. So two seasons have hurt the franchise. No, I think it's helped the frenchise. I think it's really good. I think they were incredible seasons. I just think if you keep doing that, it will it will lose a little bit of a I think because the little a little bit of it, because I think the reason why the show has been so successful for so long. It's because of love, and I think love wins and so to speak, and like people's want to belief in the traditional things about dating and love and engagement, and I think you need that to keep the show going. And then but this past ye season has been really the great seasons. It's been a lot of fun, they've been entertaining. I'd like to see them get a little bit older, a little older. So what do you think makes a good lead in a bachelor or a bachelorette? Two very different seasons. I think that they're very different. Uh, what makes a good bat shorette? I think a good bat charrette U is very like which Rachel and Hannah and someone who can speak up and um, we love our bat shirts very differently than we love our bachelor's. Y imagine if like, for why did we love Hannah right? Because she would stand up for herself and she would speak back and she would call these guys for some of the bullshit they did. And a bachelor did that, he would be an asshole. You can't do that, you can't be like, what the fuck are you guys doing? Like this is bullshit? Like why are you know like it's different, spoke out well. I thought you were great. I think Hannah deserved the praise that she got. I think sometimes you were criticized for doing the same thing. Thank you, and if I were. You asked me a question earlier about like being friends with the newer generations. Yeah, I don't. I think there's a lot of great people that they've cast in the news. I always am love authenticity. My favorite people on the franchise are the people who I in person and when watching on TV, I feel like that's just who they are. They're not I want to be liked. I liked to be I liked being liked better than I liked being criticized as on the show. But you can just tell who's kind of full of shit, and you can kind of tell who people pretend to be a certain person who you know, and it's like when you know, I won't care when I When I had you in my podcast and we were talking about the Fantasist sweets, and I kind of mentioned that Raven might have totally talked shit about Vanessa for like a good thirty minutes in fantasy set, and then Raven chimed in on my on my Instagram and was like, oh my god, I would never talk shit about someone. And I'm like, all right, time out. First of all, I thought that was great about you. I quite like Raven. It's not about me criticizing Raven because I don't like her. I think she's great. I think she's great in person. I think sometimes the character she portrays herself to be on the TV show on Instagram is totally full of shit and lying in bullshit. And I think she talked shit about people all the time, and I think that's totally fine. And I don't like how sometimes people pretend to not be a certain way. I don't like pretending either. And I know and I yes, we did talk about that, and I know you want to have her on the podcast, and I actually encourage you. I was like, have her on have a discussion so you guys can hash it out, because what I'm not a fan of hashing things out in the comment section of a social media post. I believe that you should have conversations about it. Well, yeah, face to face, because things can be just so misconstrued via emojis words that too. I just think again back to you know, I think, especially in this we're even fans like I can say what I just said about Raven right, and a lot of people, even Raven might listen to be like, oh my god, Nick hates me, or why you mean to Raven again? I think it. Raven is great. I quite liked her for the person I got to know, and that person was someone who was snarky and intelligent and had a bit of a dark side to her, and you know, she could be manipulative and all those things, and the whole picture of Raven that was charming, you know, but the Ravens sometimes people got to see I don't think it is Raven, and you know, don't go on my Instagram page and claim to be that person. What do you think about I'm just trying to rile up Rachel, good, good luck. I just wanted to take a moment for the listeners to just feel the energy right now at the top of the list of wanting to know what's up? No, I know I want hiding it. Most people do. Um, I guess I want to ask you about there seems to be and you said you you titled it this civil war that's brewing, and it just seems to keep going and there just seems to be so much more drama than usual that's happening outside of the show than is happening on the show. Do you think that that's purposeful that people are trying to do it to quote unquote stay relevant or do you think that it's real beef? Like what? Like? What's your take of it? I don't think because I think it's really I don't think it's real beef at all. Again, I think I think truly everyone just wants to be liked. I think it all comes from a place to insecurity, and I don't know if it's an attempt at relevancy, but I think it's a lot of people are diving into a world that they don't understand. And I think for like me and the Ashi and Caitlin's and you a little bit of the world because you're kind of in between. We got to learn on the fly in terms of like having this opportunity to be on this show and having social media come out and then like trying to figure out what is this opportunity that we have in front of us, And then a lot of people made mistakes in terms of thinking they were too good for it or too popular or too great or they were above certain things, and those people always kind of burn out and then now you have this again. We talked about it when you're on my show about this playbook. Yeah, of like you know what it is, this like you go on this show now and everyone like, listen. The truth is, everyone who goes on the show now is kind of full of shit. You know you think they listen? They do, like and in fairness to them, in what way though, because because everyone who goes on the show knows that if you are top four, top six, you're gonna have a following. And like when I went on the show, it's so funny now is that like seven years ago, this whole notion when the show would be like are you here for the right reasons? Are you here for the right reasons? Are you here for right reasons? Truth is, everyone kind of was and every they were all there because they got a call and it was like they're family, like this would be a neat experience and you're like, well, I guess I'll just go and I'll see what happens. And you didn't really know much more than that, right, and now you go and it's just like, well, if I go, I'm gonna have all these followers. I'm gonna be able to do all this, and like you see some of us actually doing something with this opportunity, and they try to replicate that, and it's really hard to be not just disingenuous. Okay, so we got a season is taping right now. Got a Bachelor's season. Peter our new batchelor. How do you feel? I like Peter. I actually ran into Peter. I like Peter a lot too. I ran into Peter right before he was about to go into hiding and start filming the show, and I told him, listen, it is nothing against you, and I explained to him why I was such a proponent for Mike, and I really have no problems. I actually think Peter is going to be good for the franchise. I think Peter will fall in love. I think Peter will get engaged. He seems like such a lover. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and we need that type of bachelor right now. So maybe Peter can give something that Mike couldn't give. Who knows, what do you think couldn't give? No, I don't know. I mean I wanted Mike. I'm just saying I wasn't in the decision room to pick Peter. So I'm saying maybe I want to say that when I was watching Paradise because as we know, like Nick, when you became the Bachelor, it was your time on Paradise that got you that opportunity, you know, for us to see a different side of you. And I think for Mike, I think there was an opportunity for him, and that was when Hannah came down to the beach of Paradise and there was just like we saw it with Colton and Beecca um season five. When I was there, I had this huge reaction to Becca coming down and it was it was, it was a whole episode, and I think that Mike had the opportunity to show a different side of him with Yeah, Becca Cooufrien, Mike had opportunity. I'm talking about season five. Colton was down in Paradise of Tia and Becca Coufrian came down and it evoked like he saw a ghost and was heartbroken all the past. Feel second, whether whether you feel it was true or not, no, firsthand that Colton how it played out on TV he became the Bachelor. I'm just I'm saying there was well there's a lot of multidimensional, you know, opportunities that Colton brought to the table. Well, and I think I I think absolutely, but I think that Mike had opportunity and we didn't see a lot of that that we didn't see a lot of that side. I heard I agree with you and Chris. I heard you and Chris say that before UM on an interview that Mike should have had a better reaction when Hannah came down, and the comparison was to Colton. Well, the reason I didn't agree with that is because I share the same sentiment as Nick that I did not believe that reaction because when Tea went home, there was not like I didn't see a tear shed. I mean, it's just it was just very seemed to be very um it performance, you know for it just it just didn't so genuine with Mike. It's like, Okay, maybe you didn't get what you wanted, but maybe that was his actual genuine reaction when it came to Hannah. He had moved on. I don't think he needed to see tears for him to be a good back. That was just an opportunity where there could have been a reaction. But I think ultimately what it was with Mike, and I say it in the essence of we only really saw a happy side of him. We didn't really get to see some deeper, some deeper layers. So there's absolutely and as a bachelor is a good bachelor. You just can't be happy and optimistic all the time. And even friends that are like that, You're just like, come on, just have like have a bad day, like show me a different side of you, show me like a deep dark side of you with me, though you didn't see me have a dark side on I said, you didn't see it. I think I think typically they don't want there it's interesting enough. I don't think you want your bachelor to have a dark side. You want your bachelor to be Captain America. I think I was an outlier in that regard. I do think you want your bachelorette to have saved, to not to be saved, but also have that kind of defiant attitude a little bit, I do. I mean, I think again, you were unfairly judged. I don't think before I don't think Jojo had a defiant attitude. Yeah, I don't. I don't Jojo showed her strength at time but like Caitlin and Andy and all like. But but I mean, defiance is different than I'm just saying. Typically you want your bachelor to be just grateful and humbled to be there. In Captain America, You're right right, and the women are supposed to be in a position even though they're the lead of the show, they are set up in a position to be safe, sure, but also they want to they want to be able to show strength. Yeah, I think it's moving towards that. Especially look at your past bachelorets. I don't know how many of them were just demure and just kind of grateful to be there. No. Yeah, I mean they may not be as strong as you, Rachel, but like like coming over here, listen, you weren't appreciated the way that you should be. And I would, I would. I would have some baggage too. I have my own baggage baggage. I want to ask you, Nick, did you have any do you have any regrets from your experience in time with the Bachelor franchise? No, overall, I'm in my biggest regret. Um, and I kind of joke but also playful is that when it came on the show, Um, I'm I'm a team player. It is a TV show. I want a good TV show. I wanted to find love. That was my most important thing when I was asked me the Bachelor. I was the only thing I cared about were the women in terms of when I was talking about producers, like, I just want to I want this to work. I really don't care about the money or whatever I wanted. I wanted to meet someone. Um And I was also like a team player, like the karn Bounty Castle House. I wish I would have been. I really hated that moment and I was mad, and I was I was, and I reluctantly went along with it and I just kind of did it. And I just think that made me look kind of douchey and kind of I don't think so. I was like the whip cream with Karin. I just was like I just kind of went along with all that because I don't want to make her feel right, you know. And I just again keep in mind, I was the guy who was like, you know, Liz comes out of a limo, like we had sex at you know, on Annie, I was too much about sex was attached to me, and you know, like of course Nickola is gonna whipp liquid cream. You know, Nick's bountying a bouncy castle with the child of the cast. It's just like, I just don't think that didn't me any favors. I thought that was a big deal, more on her than it did on YouTube. Yeah, and I would agree, I really. I mean, I'm sure you got some criticism and you probably see more of what you got than Crystal and I saw, but at this, just to be honest, I really didn't think that that reflected on you. Yeah, I keep in mind, I mean that's not a I don't have a lot of overall regrets, but if I were to pick one, that would would be it. But I do think the Bachelor and the Bachelor. Bacher and the Bachelor both similarly, are always judged for their perceived choices before they bring along. Yes, and that's sometimes, you know it, sometimes we take a bullet. I actually think that's the one criticism that I did not get. I don't think I got a lot of flak about who I brought along. I think people understood I'm saying my ultimate decision decision. Yes, But as far as like why is this person still here? That's the one thing that I don't think people really let's really put on me. But I do want to ask you something you said about the new cast members coming on and how people kind of know there's this playbook and you make it to you make it, you know, top four whatever, you're going to have a certain following, even really before that, you're going to have a following. So when it comes to Peter's girls, first of all, do you, I'm Peter, do you look at sports? I have no ideas. Okay, see I don't. I don't like to look at that kind of stuff either. It's almost inevitable these days. But have you Rachel, No, No, I have. I truly have it. Unfortunately because of who you follow sometimes into it. So I know certain things, but I don't know who's left. I don't know how far, and I really try not to fall pay attention to that. To your point, by the by the time it's like by the time the finale aired, it's impossible for some of us not to like find out. Yeah, yeah, but I have no idea what's going on. I do say I feel I feel sorry for Peter. Why I think it? I think I feel sorry for every lead going forward. Because of the perceived playbook, because every lead and they they make this part of the show too, Like, are you guys here for the right reasons? I think again, now more than ever that question is more valid, I think now more than ever. Especially Peter's what twenty six, twenty seven, so he's twenty eight and he has a career. Y. I don't know how old these women are, but the younger they we are, the more like I would be, like, of course you're not ready, you know, like you're twenty two. I would want in some more Instagram followers and a bunch of teeth waiting ads too. Okay, but to play Devil's advocate, can somebody come on and say, you know what, like, I'm just I'm just trying to escape, I'm just trying to, you know, grow my social media presence. But then they start dating Peter and they're like, you know what, I actually like it. You mean, like that's exactly what happened with Jad. I think always was coming just for music. It could totally work. I'm just saying for Peter, I feel sorry for him because it's impossible, and I'm not saying Peter could easily fall in love Peter it can be an amazing woman and it could be the most successful batch. I'm not saying, but if I'm Peter, that fear is more valid to have. It's actually real. It's actually like, you know, it's like, man, you guys really want to fall of ship. Many advice for Peter I mean run noah, I mean it all depends on he's filming now. I don't know, like I've like I don't I haven't really studied the women on a season yet or like they're they're bios or things like that. I hope for Peter, sure, um a woman he's really into. Yeah, and it is really unknown, and that's that's the hope, because it is a crapshoot. And the advice for Peter is, you know, like, hopefully you're lucky enough to meet her and protect that relationship. Is Peter too much like Ben Higgins? No, I think that's the perception, and I think it's plays I spent time with. I bet Peter's more like me. Oh too, No, I just mean like again, it won't be showed that way, and Peter had more of a Ben Higgins edit and I and I don't know Peter, uh, Like I spent a little time with Peter, but less we know he fucks in Windmills. Here's the thing I've said this. It was on our our our dear friends, the Toasters, their their their batsurycap is that on my season, uh, Liz showed up and list shot up and everyone and then and listen, the producers obviously knew that I had sex with Liz at Jaden Tanner's wedding. And no other season would they have brought Liz on, especially, I mean they certainly not Ben Higgins season. I mean Ben Higgins. It's like he this is our we found Captain America by the way, Ben's Captain America on the Marvel so um, and so like, listen, we all assumed that Ben wasn't a virgin because he didn't proclaim he was. But like, we don't talk about it, you know. So it's like every season, you know how many seasons we had, and no one has sex, right, you don't talk about it. And so like the idea is Ben didn't fuck, you know kind of thing, and so on my season, everyone knew I had sex. Everyone knew like the handy thing obviously, the whole Caden thing, you know, and and it was just because it was it was just talked about that I had sex, right, so we didn't have sex in the fantasies. We he did not, and so everyone knew I e sex. So when when when the producers have this opportunity to have someone clearly compelling storyline, but like, ultimately the producers want the bachelor of the batch shorette to look overall good, right, right, so they're gonna think about this and with me, as simple as it's does this, everyone knew I fucked. So when Lisz shows up and says, oh, yeah, I hooked up a nickel a wedding, no one cared. Bachel Nation didn't care, no one really it was like interesting, but no one judged me for no One's like, law, oh my god, no had that has been hooked up with a girl at a wedding and showed up. Everyone be like wait what Ben? Oh my god, I thought Ben, he's like Captain America. And they you know what I'm saying, like we know Pete Fox, he fucks four times and all. And what I'm saying is, if there's an opportunity for the bachelors to the producers to like talk about that it'll come up, and I hope it does because I think Peter is someone who has condoms in his car and he's like Peter and think it's a little thing, but Peter didn't go out of his way to make sure he didn't have a condom in his car, and like he was. I've heard from multiple Peters people that Peter has swagged and that he's charming, and they're like, you know, he's like you mean, it's there's a reason why Peter was a guy who had sex with with Hannah and a wimill because he's like you get him in a closed room, he's just like he's going to throw it down him, throw Hannah down on that pool table. And I was why he knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing, and I think to that regard, he's I don't think Peter's is safe as you think he is. I love Ben. Ben's not a big risk taker, especially on camera. He's very you know, let me let me get into this because you said, I said, do you think Peter is like Ben Higgins? And you see you said that as the perception. So a lot of times we've seen this and we've actually had people come on this podcast and say, man, I've met the lead outside of the show and they're totally different, like they're trying to play into this role. Do you feel like that's what Peter's going to do? A good question that I don't know because as a bachelor, and I hear this more from about bachelors than I do about bachelorettes. Do you feel like a lot of times leads try to be somebody that they think they're supposed to be rather than just being themselves. I think who doesn't do that when you're on TV? I don't think I did. Um. I will say this about Ben. I think Ben is that person. Ben is a genuine that is who Ben isn't um very and I think that's why Ben was great because it was authentic. Um. I you know, I like Colton. Do I think he played into what he thought he should say? Often? Yes, it doesn't. I mean I don't like Colton doesn't think. I think Colon Elis is a very nice guy, but he is definitely more you know, thoughtful in that regard. But yes, I do think I think the I think the bachelors are more guilty of that than the women. And I think part of it is because I think the bat shirts have a little bit more freedom. Every Batch shirt is worried about being a dick. Okay, I mean that's fair. I mean they just are. It's just like, I don't want to be a dick. I don't want them to think of a dick to the women, you know, like I don't want to be a dick, and like the bat shirrets can kind of be dicks and everyone kind of loves them for it. You're right, we can, yes, yes, that is very true. And so there's a little bit of that. M Well, I'm excited to see what's going to happen with Peter. I feel like he's going to really I think initially he might want to be a little softer, and I think that over the show and with the process, I think he's going to open up. And I'm just gonna say, I'm anticipating a lot of when Mill jokes on night one, sure, yeah, and I hope not. And I've for if I'm one of the girls that makes it to the Fantasy Suite and he does not fuck me at least five times, I'm gonna be upset. I Mean, it's becomes such a store lot. I'm gonna be like one, okay to go reap, but that's gonna be so much pressure with him now that he's like I mean, with now these expectations, these high expectations, I wonder if with social media, with the influencer, with all the opportunities which make you critical of hey, are you here for the right reasons? Is the lead here for the right reasons? With that comes all these high this high pressure, everyone, every every lady feels that. I mean again, I was a sexual bachelor, so like going in, I knew I was only going to sleep with Finesse. So everyone kind of knows that. And I remember like my first reaction to Rachel and Raven when I kind of like, I'm not sleeping with anyone in my face and then I fell asleep, She fell asleep. I was like, do you want a massage? Can pass out? Because we've been drinking all night. Nick saved me, he gave me til and all. I was like, the I carried her upstairs, it was like I out of water. In the morning. Raven put up more of a fight. Um, it's the sweetest thing. Okay, I want to ask you, moving forward, where you are right now. We know we've seen you on The Bachelor, You've dated publicly, you've dated some famous people, you've dated privately. You may be dating now. I don't know, But I want to know what's the biggest difference in what you're looking for now versus what you were looking for when you first appeared on the Bachelorette, when when America first met you much. I mean again, I'm not like twenty two anymore, so like my uh, it's only different the fact that I value safety, um more than I ever did. Do you mean like safe sex or too No, but like did my You know, it's people say, well, can you date a normal person? Yeah, I've been out with nurses and teachers and whatever. But sometimes and on those types of dates, UM, that's why people date people that can relate to You want to be able to feel safe and trust around them. You want to be able to be yourself and not have them that information. You know, you want to feel safe, You want to feel like they get you, they're not trying to get you. And sometimes people try to relate to people on dates and and and if people Obviously I've had a very unique um experiences the past five years and I think sometimes people who can't relate in some way, um, it makes those dates hard. It's why you see a lot of vatternation people end up together. Some of it is because they want to get more Instagram ads, and some of it is because they know that that person can relate to them. That's a shared mutual experience. I mean, I'm you and you in the goose. I mean you can relate. I mean that there's there is value in that. There's a people all of the world marry for those reasons. And so I think that it's harder for me to find someone I relate to. But I also don't want to date someone in Bautch Nation. It makes my life harder. Are you currently dating anyone now? I don't really define my larish ships on podcasts right now. Maybe maybe not. Yeah, nothing serious, but he's dating for sure. Oh oh okay. I would you ever go on a bachelor show again? Not to find love? But you know, I'm always happy to. She's like, if Chris Harrison wants to take a step down, it's fine, you know you should. I know, I know, I know Ben Higgins. Okay, but can I just say something Chris Harrison is a very sarcastic, funny like direct individual, and you have a lot of the same character characteristics as head in person, Chris and I have a lot of similar personalities, so you could play a role too. I'm just saying they're gonna go with Ben, but Chris is also Chris is doing a great job. He's still He's not going anywhere. We don't need to be talking about Christmas. He's old. I'm just saying, maybe he wants a chance. I was just saying, if if, why would you ever want to do that job? Why would you ever not want to do they ever want to go with a female? I'd put my name in the hair as they probably should. As they probably should twenty nineteen. You know it's funny though, Ellen Ellen dear friend friend of show, Ellen DeGeneres a show called Um Comedians and Cars and a few familiar with its. Jerry Steinfeld interviews all these other comedians. He had Ellen on and and and Jerry was like, why do you want to be a comedian? And Ellen goes, I just wanted to be famous, That's all I cared about. I remember listening. That's funny because I only say that because in Batchel Nation. It's this criticism like, oh, you're just here to be famous, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. And here's Ellen's like, yeah, I just want to be famous. And again I only say that because, like, I didn't have any expectations of doing what I'm doing, and I kind of fell into it and there wasn't a play book. Am I going to pretend I don't like attention? Am I going to pretend that, like we all talk about we all everyone in vain jokes about their relevancy fading away and what they might be willing to do to keep it going. It's a joke, but everyone talks about it. I think the reason the criticism comes sometimes with vatchinations we put on ourselves. People don't come in with. It's almost like what people say about the Kardashians. You don't have a talent, you didn't come in with anything. This this a job before, so you're using it to find something, where as opposed to the people who do come in with a career or a job get a little bit more I don't know, people a little bit more lenient to them because they have something to fall back on, whereas the person who did. And I think that's why people are so critical because a lot of times people say, oh, people come on the Vatch Nation, they don't have a job. During a job, they just want to be something. There is that and sometimes they do have a job and it's not the job that they want to have. And I have to say, for anyone who goes on any capacity of a TV show once famous like once Fame period, don't they certainly don't hate at ten And there could be for different rue. It could be for different reasons like if someone could just be um, maybe someone wants to be an actor or work as an influencer, be a host, and maybe there are those elements, or maybe just someone just maybe to prove something. God knows, that's what I am just here for love. I swear to God that everybody has different reasons. But I think at the end of the day, you're all open to experience. Right now, it's October and we have a very big one of my actually one of my favorite holidays. I might not call it a holiday, but it's one of mine. We've got Halloween coming up, and so in the spirit of Halloween, we want to do something fun, and we want to do something festive, and since we have you here, Nick, we're gonna do it with you. So we're gonna play a little bit of this or that. And it's the Bachelor Halloween Edition. So are you up for it? You don't really have a choice. I played this or that with Andy on Andy season Smile this or was it that? I don't know. It was in um Brussels, Belgium, and a moment I thought it was gonna win that she broke my heart. Oh okay, that so let's play. Let's play. All right, Here we go this or that Bachelor Halloween Edition. Here we go champagne favored candy or rose flavored cocktails. God, I guess the rose flavored cocktails. All right? Yeah, I would go that one too. All right. If it were to get trick or treaters, if you were to get trigger treaters at the Bachelor Mansion, would you give out candy or condoms to the contestants? Just trigger treats, candy? It depends if they want to, because that's an portant age and learn about same sex. Well, there you go, condoms. It is so in the face of a zombie apocalypse. In the face of a zombie Oh God, in the face of the face of the zombie apocalypse, who would you want a drinking Why in the face of a zombie apocalypse? Who would you want with you? Dan or Demmy? This is actually tough because it depends what you want out of it, right, do you want Dean the Master of Survival? Who? Like, I mean it's the end of the world. I mean, like I want to have sex with somebody. So, like that's where we were going with it, Okaya, Like, I mean, if we're talking about the end of the world, Jimmy might not want it from you. I'm charily possible. Um anyways, Um, I'm just saying, like we're talking about the end of the world. Yeah, and when people get asked a question about like, you know, the end of the world, depends how you want to go out right, so insane Jean, if it's not the end of the world, if if if if, if there's a chance of survival, I'm Pickandean? Okay, good? Next question, who would plan a better Halloween party? Ashley and Jared or Jaden Tanner and Jared. Their wedding was phenomenal. It was beautifully planned, and really well done. I heard loos were there? Oh I was? It looked beautiful. From what I can tell, Jay, it's not actually much of the planner. It's more Tanner. And if it doesn't include fantasy football, I don't you know would be much of a party. Yeah, I was about to say something else. I think you should say, Hey, Rachel, is one thing you wouldn't shut up when I are on my season is how much you kept it one hundred. So I feel like whatever you are about to say, you should say. Well, I was just gonna say something about Tanner. You said when it comes to planning fantasy football? Or I was like or just like talking shit about somebody from another season? You known before Tanner was ever on the show, he was a Bachelor superfan and he will admit to that. Okay, we really oh hardcore? Yeah, he's always giving him super Speaking of people giving their opinions on posts and likes and where they don't belong, Tanner together, would you rather find out that one of your suitors is on a missing missing person's list or hasn't Nanny, both of which should happened on the back Nanny as an adult? How was kil was she lovely, lovely human being, really delightful. Krin's entire family was really, really, really quite sweet. It's cute. Okay. Next question, would you rather go on a date to a graveyard or haunted house? I hate? Haunted houses are so stupid. What oh my god, there's a person behind a corner and a mask and the job on go boom. The point is that you fake you've like you're scared, you go on a date. I think like to hold onto. I'm so scared. No graveyard gyard? Okay? Who would you rather see cover the monster Mash Chris Harrison or Wells Chris Harrison, Yeah, for sure. I feel like I feel like Wells has probably already done the monster Mash somewhere. Chris Harrison. Nick, it's definitely been a pleasure. It hasn't a pleasure. I hate to see you go because you're definitely into having the conversations. Maybe that people are too afraid. It's yeah, let's shake it up, shameless plug val files for you know, more authentic, Um, not more. I was about to correct you, sorry, Rachel um, but yeah, check us out. Also, if you ever want to come on my show and just spilled the tea about what happened with Raven. I just want you to know, say place and again, I'm team Raven. I like Raven, but I do think sometimes Raven is not who she pretends to be. Well, I like the actual Raven more than the Raven she pretends to be. I think a lot. I think people that's just a general thing. What people say about the Bachelor and Bachelorette is that she's like people like real versions of people rather than when they see you can't wait to that Reddit thread that like Raven creates about you know, I think as you go through the process, you know, you uncover, you uncover the layers. Okay, Nick, I have one last question before you go, any words of wisdom for Hannah on Dancing with the Stars as she enters this final phase of competition. Think Hannah needs my advice. I mean, she's gonna go farther than I went. And how far did you go? Top five? Me and me and Nancy Kerrigan went home the same weekend week So like whether I was fifth or six or vice versa, but it was top top five or six, I was gonna be in the finals for sure. I'd be shot. She's gonna she's gonna be top three for sure. That's what I said. I think top three. Uh yeah, I think she needs my advice at all doing whatever she's doing. Okay, girls killing it, Yeah, she is killing it well. Nick definitely been a pleasure for him. We can't wait to read my comments after this episode. Drop. Reddit's gonna be popping. Love you Reddit. Yeah no, but seriously, thank you for coming on and having just such good, refreshing conversation. If you want to come back, I can do the favor. I definitely can come back to Vile Finals. And you should come back on this podcast too, of course. Crystal, thank you so much for being here as well, and Bastination, we love you. Thank you so much for listening to us. Wait, wait can be before we go, I just want to say, what do you want to come back? No? Wait, what the fuck? When you had Jed on your podcast, I gotta say you was not too nice to Jed. Yes, also bigger criticism when Jed had a little hissy fit about me, You egged him on, and you're like, I know you were leading the witness is fair. I thought you would have my back more Dad, and Ali was was she was a little more team team Nick. I was like, I was listening to this thing, and I was just like, what the fuck. I knew what you were doing, but I say, please keep this because I you have always had my back, and I actually hate the way that came out. In my defense, I was cut off, not not by production, but the podcast was moving and I would have gone into it way more. So it left off on my leading question. I mean granted to be honest. When he said it, I thought, my god, this is a headline. Okay, I knew him, but I wanted to get into it a little bit more. And recently that was done to me as well, and I on somebody else's podcast, and I did not appreciate that. So I do apologize because that is and I know that's not what you were looking for, but I would have gone into that wall. I know, and I want to listening to that. I thought to myself, if I had gentleman podcast and he brought you up in the same way, I would have lit his ass up and defended your ass for his life. I want you to get more into it. I wanted him to. I wanted him to spell it out, and then I wanted to go at it. I also wasn't there in person, but no, you are totally in the right to call me out on that. Thanks for having me all right, I just want to thank Nick so much for coming on the podcast. Always a good time to talk to my favorite ex boyfriend.
