<v Speaker 1>This is WWE superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to
<v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast show.
<v Speaker 2>The one that everybody wants me God tell on.
<v Speaker 3>Stadt the sixteen.
<v Speaker 2>So just glisten your ass.
<v Speaker 4>This is my iron. You're gonna acknowledge me.
<v Speaker 2>Welcome to the WWE Podcast. It is the week in
<v Speaker 2>review for Sunday, February sixth, twenty twenty two. Welcome everybody,
<v Speaker 2>and thank you for joining me. So a couple of
<v Speaker 2>things up front. Not only do I also always thank
<v Speaker 2>you guys for coming to the show here because it
<v Speaker 2>it's time out of your day, in your morning or
<v Speaker 2>evening to spend with us here talk about wrestling in
<v Speaker 2>the world that doesn't really matter, but matters to us.
<v Speaker 2>So we're gonna get to all the things that happened
<v Speaker 2>this week in WWE mainly focus on heavily focused on
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown with a co host here, Sean Harford, who will
<v Speaker 2>be joining me. And if you're wondering about Sean or
<v Speaker 2>maybe you haven't heard him before, he used to join
<v Speaker 2>us on the show a number of months ago. Hasn't
<v Speaker 2>been on it in quite a while, but he's on
<v Speaker 2>Patreon and he's on a ten dollars tier. So if
<v Speaker 2>you get the ten dollars tier or hire, which is
<v Speaker 2>actually the Monday Night Raw Review or Monday Night Raw
<v Speaker 2>level or hire, you get to go on the show
<v Speaker 2>as well, and once a month. So Seawan will be
<v Speaker 2>joining us in a short order here and consider going
<v Speaker 2>at free on Patreon and on Apple Podcasts. But before
<v Speaker 2>we get into any of that, I want to make
<v Speaker 2>a quick announcement about our website. Yeah, we have a website.
<v Speaker 2>Not a lot of people go to it because we're
<v Speaker 2>a podcast, so most of us go to Apple Podcasts
<v Speaker 2>or Spreaker, Spotify wherever to listen to the show and
<v Speaker 2>all our other podcasts. But I will be revamping. I'm
<v Speaker 2>actually currently in the process. I've hired somebody to completely
<v Speaker 2>rejigger the website. So if you see that it's kind
<v Speaker 2>of a disaster or doesn't exist or doesn't load over
<v Speaker 2>the next few weeks, that's because we're under construction. So
<v Speaker 2>what I'm envisioning is not only a completely new, fresh layout,
<v Speaker 2>and it's gonna look much more updated and really customized
<v Speaker 2>to a podcast, not necessarily the news website, because we're
<v Speaker 2>not a news website per se. We're gonna be also
<v Speaker 2>having on there kind of a vip lounge area, like
<v Speaker 2>I mean, go vip. I mean, I think you hear
<v Speaker 2>that with an other podcast out there. So I'm trying
<v Speaker 2>not to use that's that that phrase because I don't
<v Speaker 2>want to feel like I'm knocking off anybody else, you know.
<v Speaker 2>So that said, I I'm gonna probably call it either
<v Speaker 2>go vip or vip lounge. So what's in the vip lounge? Basically,
<v Speaker 2>it's gonna be exclusive content, meaning like quick videos, weekly videos,
<v Speaker 2>daily videos. I'm not sure yet, and that's what's gonna
<v Speaker 2>be in there, and so well, I'll give you more
<v Speaker 2>information as we get closer. But our website is actually
<v Speaker 2>gonna be a place that you may actually you may
<v Speaker 2>want to stop by, and it's not just oh, that's right,
<v Speaker 2>he has that website thing. I'm gonna try to make
<v Speaker 2>it a place that is actually useful because I think
<v Speaker 2>the domain we have isten nearly impossible to get the
<v Speaker 2>wa podcast dot com is I really have no idea
<v Speaker 2>how wwe didn't take that before I did, but he
<v Speaker 2>he haha, too bad. I'm not giving it up. So
<v Speaker 2>that said, all right, let's let's jump into one more
<v Speaker 2>thing and it's not announcements. It's something I missed on
<v Speaker 2>the mail Bag Show last Wednesday. And on that mail
<v Speaker 2>Bag show, I missed a couple of emails, and I
<v Speaker 2>promised that these two emails would be read because I
<v Speaker 2>totally missed them, and it's not fair to these two individuals.
<v Speaker 2>So let's get through these emails quickly and then we'll
<v Speaker 2>jump into my conversation with Sean. So here we go,
<v Speaker 2>all right. The first one we got that I missed
<v Speaker 2>my bad Dennis wrote to us last week and said
<v Speaker 2>that bad Bunny, Shane and Knoxville in the rumble, but
<v Speaker 2>no Balor Apollo or any other person that the roster
<v Speaker 2>can actually be that are actually employed at the company.
<v Speaker 2>I know Shane's family owns the business, but he took wrestlers.
<v Speaker 2>They took a wrestler's place, a very poor event in
<v Speaker 2>my opinion. Yeah, that's sorry, Dennis. I mean, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I will never be of the belief that an established,
<v Speaker 2>up and coming star should be removed for the sake
<v Speaker 2>of a celebrity interjection. With a few exceptions, general rule
<v Speaker 2>is no, but WWE does it because they're twenty years
<v Speaker 2>too late to the jackass party. For some reason Jackass
<v Speaker 2>is still cool and they wanted to do this. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>this is not the first time they've done this. They've
<v Speaker 2>done this so many other times. As you said, bad Bunny,
<v Speaker 2>all all this stuff, all these essentially cameo appearances that
<v Speaker 2>WWE puts into their Royal Rumble, which really doesn't even
<v Speaker 2>make sense when you think about it. But like, how
<v Speaker 2>are people that aren't in the event, aren't even actual wrestlers,
<v Speaker 2>getting an opportunity at the largest at the largest position
<v Speaker 2>in the entire company's yearly spot. Meaning you win this match,
<v Speaker 2>you get into the random man invent of WrestleMania. How
<v Speaker 2>are they even putting anybody in there that's not an
<v Speaker 2>actual active wrestler. I mean, like, when you think about
<v Speaker 2>the logistics of it doesn't make sense. So I'm with you, Dennis.
<v Speaker 2>You said that you enjoyed seth rains and rollins. I
<v Speaker 2>did too. And did you notice during the and do drop.
<v Speaker 2>I'm assuming that's what you meant match that the fans
<v Speaker 2>got distracted. It's because the WrestleMania sign caught fire twice.
<v Speaker 2>I thought the Women's Rumble match was decent. Actually picked
<v Speaker 2>Brock to win a few months ago. If you remember. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>Well I don't remember, Dennis, so I'm gonna rely on
<v Speaker 2>your word of mouth and your your honesty. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I believe you. Brock. Winning is not something I think
<v Speaker 2>some people wanted. I think others are okay with it.
<v Speaker 2>I'm okay with it. But yeah, the WrestleMania sign caught fire.
<v Speaker 2>That's the only reason I mean. I know that now,
<v Speaker 2>So thank you, Dennis. So I apologize for missing your email,
<v Speaker 2>but I do see your new email for this week,
<v Speaker 2>which I'll wait until the mail bag this week. I
<v Speaker 2>won't read it now and spoil it. Okay, let's see,
<v Speaker 2>I know I also missed. Let's see here, ah, Wes Wesley,
<v Speaker 2>Let's let's get to your email here and this is
<v Speaker 2>the final one, guys, and we'll jump into the weekend review.
<v Speaker 2>You mentioned that what a letdown of a premiere live event,
<v Speaker 2>so I think I've been saying it for Somebody corrected
<v Speaker 2>me because I've been saying that it's a not a
<v Speaker 2>premier live event, but rather a premium live event. So
<v Speaker 2>I think it is premium live event. So I think
<v Speaker 2>I'm wrong. I think it's a premium live event, not premiere,
<v Speaker 2>So it's my bad. Okay, so you said that despite
<v Speaker 2>an opening, despite an awesome opening, it was a letdown
<v Speaker 2>of a premium live event. Seth and Roman killed it
<v Speaker 2>from Seth's entrance to ring gear. The match itself would
<v Speaker 2>have been a preferred would have preferred a clean finish.
<v Speaker 2>But I'm not mad how it ended. Although my question
<v Speaker 2>is where does Seth go from here? I'm writing this
<v Speaker 2>on Monday morning, so that question well may have been
<v Speaker 2>answered on raw. Yeah. So I think a lot of
<v Speaker 2>people felt that way in the moment, that were pissed
<v Speaker 2>off about the ending, and then realized it's actually a book,
<v Speaker 2>It's actually a finish that makes sense. It's amazing that
<v Speaker 2>this finish of a a non clean finish makes sense
<v Speaker 2>when you use it in the right context, and people
<v Speaker 2>aren't pissed about it after they think about it for
<v Speaker 2>a few minutes. But the problem is ww overuses their
<v Speaker 2>non finish ability, I mean on a regular basis. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean Seth Seth is clearly, I think on a
<v Speaker 2>path again with Roman reigns, a war path. Now does
<v Speaker 2>that mean it's going to be Brock versus Roman versus
<v Speaker 2>Seth at WrestleMania. It could be, And you know what,
<v Speaker 2>I think they could play on the WrestleMania thirty one
<v Speaker 2>cash in by Seth Rollins. Remember that it was technically
<v Speaker 2>a triple thread at the end, but this time Seth
<v Speaker 2>doesn't get the cash in, So that's where I think
<v Speaker 2>he's ultimately headed. I ultimately think he's there. The Royal
<v Speaker 2>Roman match itself lazy, predictable, disappointing. I think if I'd
<v Speaker 2>gone into the match with the lowest of expectations, I'd
<v Speaker 2>still have come away disappointed. The surprise entines were disappoin
<v Speaker 2>and only one of them was actually a surprise. We
<v Speaker 2>knew Drew would return, We knew Brock would enter at
<v Speaker 2>number thirty and in all likelihood win after how his
<v Speaker 2>match with Bobby Lashley ended, and WW posted on Twitter
<v Speaker 2>Instagram earlier in the day showing that Bad Buddy was
<v Speaker 2>at the event, so that wasn't a surprise. The only
<v Speaker 2>surprise was Shane McMahon yawn. I never see him. I
<v Speaker 2>never want to see him wrestling again. No forbidden to
<v Speaker 2>or entrant, no form or huge superstar like the Rock returning. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, Wes, if you did your research and I didn't,
<v Speaker 2>then you were very disappointed at this, especially if you
<v Speaker 2>wanted big surprise returns, and that's one of the big
<v Speaker 2>drawbacks of social media in so many ways. Social media
<v Speaker 2>has ruined so many lives in so many ways. But
<v Speaker 2>in just the pro wrestling context, I think that it
<v Speaker 2>has taken away whatever kfabe was left, and it's taken
<v Speaker 2>away a lot of surprises that could potentially happen out
<v Speaker 2>of the equation. And you're seeing it here because people
<v Speaker 2>just can't help themselves and post crap and think that
<v Speaker 2>it's going to get a you know, they care more
<v Speaker 2>about likes and hit that like button then they do
<v Speaker 2>about necessarily keeping completely secret what they want to keep secret.
<v Speaker 2>So a side note, and this is something that has
<v Speaker 2>been bothering me for years. It may or may not
<v Speaker 2>annoy others. Typically, any interference leads to a DQ finish
<v Speaker 2>as long as the referee has not been laid out
<v Speaker 2>or why were we are we expected to believe that
<v Speaker 2>once a new referee is needed, a new referee has
<v Speaker 2>not seen what's gone on while the original referee was incapacitated.
<v Speaker 2>Why can they run down count to three? No questions
<v Speaker 2>asked anyway, Enough of the negativity. Hope everyone has a
<v Speaker 2>great week. Wes, thank you, Wes, and sorry for missing
<v Speaker 2>your email, And here's oh to answer your second email, Wes.
<v Speaker 2>The new email which, by the way, you can still
<v Speaker 2>use this one, the one you emailed me, but the
<v Speaker 2>new official one for the mailbag is mailbag at ww
<v Speaker 2>podcast dot com. So so here's the thing. You would
<v Speaker 2>imagine that if a referee knows they need to go
<v Speaker 2>out there, that they know they need to go out there,
<v Speaker 2>and they already saw what happened. You know, it's say,
<v Speaker 2>referee goes down and the heel hits the baby face
<v Speaker 2>in the head with a chair and the referee is down.
<v Speaker 2>They didn't see it. But then all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 2>I know, the referee comes out. Why can't they enforce
<v Speaker 2>the the law of the land and disqualify that that
<v Speaker 2>that heel, Because if they were backstage knowing they had
<v Speaker 2>to come out, didn't they see that happen? But we're
<v Speaker 2>supposed to believe that. Nope, everything's a clean slate. There's
<v Speaker 2>nothing actually happening until the ref gets in the ring.
<v Speaker 2>The ref is blind apparently they're blindfolded and and you know,
<v Speaker 2>ear muffed backstage and their only job is to during
<v Speaker 2>matches to sit there in in chairs and and have
<v Speaker 2>blindfolds and ear muffs on and only know they need
<v Speaker 2>to go out through the ring when they're tapped on
<v Speaker 2>the shoulder. That way, they don't know what happened outside
<v Speaker 2>of of their own world. I mean, it's it is
<v Speaker 2>kind of preposterous, Wes. I know you're gonna get me
<v Speaker 2>out of rant. Did you do that on purpose? All right, Wes?
<v Speaker 2>Thank you so much. Okay, so that wraps up the
<v Speaker 2>things I missed on the Mailbag show on Wednesday. So
<v Speaker 2>my bad. That said everybody. I believe that is it
<v Speaker 2>for me. I want to thank you for listening again.
<v Speaker 2>This is our most downloaded show of the week, is
<v Speaker 2>the week in Review, and that's because of you guys.
<v Speaker 2>So please consider giving us a five star rating on
<v Speaker 2>Apple Podcasts or on Spotify both. Do seriously help us
<v Speaker 2>out and keep an eye out for our new website,
<v Speaker 2>which again you can go ahead there and look now,
<v Speaker 2>but it probably looks like a piece of garbage. We're
<v Speaker 2>gonna be again giving you more details and the final
<v Speaker 2>product won't be probably for two three weeks, more likely
<v Speaker 2>sometime in late February early March. We will be finalizing
<v Speaker 2>our new website and it'll be functional and much more
<v Speaker 2>user friendly and much more organized. So anyway, thank you
<v Speaker 2>everybody for listening to us. Take care and I'll talk
<v Speaker 2>to you next time, which will be the Monday nett
<v Speaker 2>Raw Review. Hi, everybody, welcome to your week review. And
<v Speaker 2>we've got a co host tonight. We've got Sean Harford.
<v Speaker 2>You guys may remember him. It's been it's been a
<v Speaker 2>few minutes or as the kids say, it's been a
<v Speaker 2>hot minute since Shawn has been back on the show.
<v Speaker 2>And as a as a patron of the show, he's
<v Speaker 2>able to come on once a month and starting in
<v Speaker 2>the ten dollars tier and higher. That's what you get
<v Speaker 2>to do, guys, and that's what Sean's here for. And
<v Speaker 2>we're here to talk wrestling. We're here to talk the
<v Speaker 2>week's leading up to the Elimination Chamber pay per view.
<v Speaker 2>We're officially on the road to Wrestlmingia all that good stuff.
<v Speaker 2>So we'll hit on as much as we can and
<v Speaker 2>our bit of a brief brief chat here. But Sean,
<v Speaker 2>how you doing, man, I'm.
<v Speaker 4>Doing pretty good. It's great to be back and it's
<v Speaker 4>great to return to the show, even though it's been
<v Speaker 4>quite a while I'm always happy to be.
<v Speaker 2>Back, definitely. Yeah. I mean it probably has been you know,
<v Speaker 2>many many months, So this is this great to hear
<v Speaker 2>you again, and I'm interested to hear what you think
<v Speaker 2>about what's been going on. And you know, let's let's
<v Speaker 2>talk a little bit about SmackDown right now, because as
<v Speaker 2>we came out of SmackDown, there's so many things that
<v Speaker 2>we could talk about, Goldberg coming back to challenge Roman reigns. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, there's there's really a lot. So take your
<v Speaker 2>pic sewn. Where do you want to start with SmackDown?
<v Speaker 4>We could start from the we could start from the
<v Speaker 4>beginning and down to the n see how it goes.
<v Speaker 2>Sure, sure, okay, So in that case, then we had
<v Speaker 2>let's see what had the bloodline? Well, the blood light
<v Speaker 2>opened the show. That's what we're talking about here with
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg and Paul Hayman came out and he basically gave
<v Speaker 2>the explanation that there was not a plot or a
<v Speaker 2>scheme and that he was just realizing he'd made a
<v Speaker 2>mistake with Reins being upset with him and uh, you know,
<v Speaker 2>he had been fired, and he said that he deserved
<v Speaker 2>to get Superman punched. So did what did you think
<v Speaker 2>about Paul Hayman explaining what happened and why he did
<v Speaker 2>what he did.
<v Speaker 4>Well, Particularly, it's like sometimes it's like to the World
<v Speaker 4>Enter Team, it's like sometimes forgiving Kim Be something. And
<v Speaker 4>it also depends like if you're like excell inside, you've
<v Speaker 4>been with like say, he's been with Lesnar for like
<v Speaker 4>many many years, ever since he's been into the early
<v Speaker 4>times of his prime, and nowaday he's with Roman Rains.
<v Speaker 4>It's like he's seen a new light. He's like seeing
<v Speaker 4>a new different kind of rock Lesnar in Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 4>maybe like a different like outlook and a like a
<v Speaker 4>next big thing in Roman Range that he saw in
<v Speaker 4>Brock Lesnar in his early time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it did. It seemed like he he had he
<v Speaker 2>genuinely regretted his decision and that he felt that his
<v Speaker 2>chemistry was better with Roman Reigns and that the true
<v Speaker 2>future of the company was with Roland Rains, which is
<v Speaker 2>actually true. I mean, Brock Lesner is not going to
<v Speaker 2>be here for too much longer. I don't believe Roman
<v Speaker 2>Reigns obviously has many more years in front of him
<v Speaker 2>than Brock. But that said, you know, we had we
<v Speaker 2>did have Roman Reigns kind of he was accepting of
<v Speaker 2>Paul Hayman's apology, and Paul Haman basically was groveling to
<v Speaker 2>the tribal chief and said that he realized that Rains
<v Speaker 2>didn't need to be protected from Lesnar but rather it
<v Speaker 2>was the other way around, and so that at that
<v Speaker 2>point we had essentially Goldberg come out and he said
<v Speaker 2>that he acknowledged Rains but only as his next victim,
<v Speaker 2>and then made an official challenge to Roman Reigns for
<v Speaker 2>a match at elimination Chambers. So what do you think
<v Speaker 2>about Goldberg coming back to have the match that they
<v Speaker 2>should have had two years ago when the pandemic started.
<v Speaker 4>Oh, to be honest, I wouldn't I thought of it.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't expect go Work to be appearing at Snightdown,
<v Speaker 4>which was like a little bit interesting seeing that he
<v Speaker 4>hasn't lost this step and like it's been a couple
<v Speaker 4>months since he had his last match. I think it
<v Speaker 4>was with it. I think it was probably with the
<v Speaker 4>theme in at that scene left. So it's pretty much
<v Speaker 4>going to be an interesting way to see it. But
<v Speaker 4>I'm not sure if he's gonna probably win the championship,
<v Speaker 4>it's probably gonna stick with Ruman like heading into like WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe yeah, I think so too. I really don't see
<v Speaker 2>any scenario in which Goldberg wins the championship here. The fans,
<v Speaker 2>I think would completely explode if Goldberg's the one to
<v Speaker 2>take it off of Roman reigns after five hundred and
<v Speaker 2>some days. That it's Goldberg who's here, you know, once
<v Speaker 2>every six months, and every time he comes in, he
<v Speaker 2>just has automatically awarded a championship opportunity. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>how people haven't started to boo Goldberg honestly. Maybe it's
<v Speaker 2>the nostalgic entrance. I think the entrance maybe the only
<v Speaker 2>thing people care about with Goldberg because outside of that,
<v Speaker 2>he's not a WWE guy. He never was a WWE guy,
<v Speaker 2>and he comes in and is just essentially a b
<v Speaker 2>It's like a birthright that he comes in and has
<v Speaker 2>just awarded an opportunity for the Belts, and I really
<v Speaker 2>am not a fan of that. But they're giving us
<v Speaker 2>the match that they were gonna give us two years ago.
<v Speaker 2>So it's gonna be a lot there's This is not
<v Speaker 2>exactly gonna be a very technical match. It's not gonna
<v Speaker 2>be Rick flair Shawn Michaels, all right, I mean you
<v Speaker 2>know that this is gonna be very probably five minutes
<v Speaker 2>or less, and probably gonna be lots of heart hard
<v Speaker 2>hitting kickouts of spears, probably a kickout of a jackhammer.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe probably do USO's interfering in some way to allow
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg to uh or allow Roman Reigns to to come
<v Speaker 2>away with the belt. Do you see any scenario in
<v Speaker 2>which Goldberg wins the championship at elimination chamber?
<v Speaker 4>The only way this is gonna be a tricky way
<v Speaker 4>to point it out. So this is like it's narrow,
<v Speaker 4>so like if it does actually happen to say, like
<v Speaker 4>their USA's actually did come out into the ring to
<v Speaker 4>try and distract the rest or like Goldberg itself, and
<v Speaker 4>it didn't work out, and then reptly saw them, it
<v Speaker 4>would have to like try to like talk them either
<v Speaker 4>ring and they would have to be banned, like barred
<v Speaker 4>from the the ring side, and then they have to
<v Speaker 4>go to the back, and then Roman probably may be
<v Speaker 4>distracted and Golberg had a chance and he gets hit
<v Speaker 4>the jack This spear hit the jack cammers, So I
<v Speaker 4>get for the one two three if that could be
<v Speaker 4>a definite chance.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's I would agree. I think there's While I
<v Speaker 2>don't think it's likely at all, I think that it is.
<v Speaker 2>There's a small possibility. And over the next two weeks,
<v Speaker 2>WWE will try to do their best to convince us
<v Speaker 2>that Goldberg is a true threat. I mean, you know,
<v Speaker 2>he was the one to beat Kevin Owens for the
<v Speaker 2>Universal Championship, He beat the Fiend for the Universal Championship.
<v Speaker 2>He has ended some streaks that have you know, Goldberg
<v Speaker 2>had no business ending. But this is a different level,
<v Speaker 2>This is a different stratosphere of a run that Roman
<v Speaker 2>Reigns is on. And I don't I don't believe and
<v Speaker 2>I don't think you do either, that Goldberg is going
<v Speaker 2>to But your scenario is plausible. I just don't think
<v Speaker 2>it's likely. And you know, this match is just to
<v Speaker 2>give us what the fan, give us the match that
<v Speaker 2>we thought we were gonna get two years ago, and
<v Speaker 2>we get to see Bear versus Spear. They've built up
<v Speaker 2>the possibility of title versus title too much over the
<v Speaker 2>last couple of months to believe that it's not going
<v Speaker 2>to be brock Lessner versus Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
<v Speaker 2>Versus the w W Championship at WrestleMania. Do you think
<v Speaker 2>ultimately that's probably what they'll go with, is one on
<v Speaker 2>one belt versus belt and the winner walks away as
<v Speaker 2>a double champion.
<v Speaker 4>That's pretty much a good possibility. It all depends on
<v Speaker 4>how Lesbie does via the elimination chamber against Lashley Riddle,
<v Speaker 4>Rollins and I've got the rest of the names but
<v Speaker 4>kick track, but it could be possibility as long as
<v Speaker 4>he stays in a good amount of time. And depends
<v Speaker 4>as well, like how the what number he's going to
<v Speaker 4>come in for elimination chamber, but he's going to go
<v Speaker 4>and go on first? Is he going to go on second, third, last?
<v Speaker 4>It all depends on how long he can survive.
<v Speaker 2>It does and I again early prediction on my part,
<v Speaker 2>I think Brock will probably take it back because Vince
<v Speaker 2>wants the biggest main event possible and that's gonna be
<v Speaker 2>Brock versus Roman. They're both top champions. Who's the ultimate champion?
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I really believe that's what Vince looks at
<v Speaker 2>this as. I wouldn't do that. I would keep the
<v Speaker 2>belt off Brock. I don't care if Brock's gonna face Roman.
<v Speaker 2>I just don't want the ww Championship being tied up
<v Speaker 2>in that role. But you know, we will see. Like
<v Speaker 2>you said, Elimination Chamber is a quick turnaround. Now two
<v Speaker 2>weeks and we're already through the Elimination Chamber, and then
<v Speaker 2>there's no pay per view between Chamber and Mania, which
<v Speaker 2>I really like. It's just a straight six weeks of
<v Speaker 2>building to WrestleMania. I think that's way better than having
<v Speaker 2>yet another pay per view of like Roadblock or I
<v Speaker 2>don't know whatever else odd pay per view is in
<v Speaker 2>between there. So all right, well let's move on. Talk
<v Speaker 2>about the next segment here. That happened on SmackDown. If
<v Speaker 2>I'm not mistaken, I do believe it was Ricochet versus
<v Speaker 2>Ridge Holland, and then that turned into a tag team match.
<v Speaker 2>So Ricochet gets the victory over Ridge Holland, who's still
<v Speaker 2>wearing that face mask from a broken nose, and then
<v Speaker 2>it adverted broken nose by Ricochet. So before we get
<v Speaker 2>to the tag match, did you enjoy the match between
<v Speaker 2>Ricochet and Ridge Holland.
<v Speaker 4>I thought it was pretty interesting. There was some like
<v Speaker 4>parts that were good, some parts that were not that great.
<v Speaker 4>It's like like sometimes it's like one side sometimes like
<v Speaker 4>back and forth, back and forth, Like it's just like
<v Speaker 4>half the time the matches can be the same over
<v Speaker 4>and over just to improve the ratings. And sometimes it's
<v Speaker 4>not the it can't be about the ratings. It's just
<v Speaker 4>about the showing of the moves for the superstars.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then this, this program feels like it's gone
<v Speaker 2>on a little bit, maybe too long, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>It's it just much like Drew Drew McIntyre and Corbyn,
<v Speaker 2>which we'll get to down the line, it kind of
<v Speaker 2>feels like, all right, can we move on from this?
<v Speaker 2>And you know, I think past elimination chamber, everything's gonna
<v Speaker 2>get reset. So if we can all hang on two
<v Speaker 2>more weeks, then we'll get into full wrestlemanium mode and
<v Speaker 2>these kind of stale programs should go by the wayside.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, I mean, look, Ricochet is always going to
<v Speaker 2>give you a show. He's like fireworks, so he's gonna
<v Speaker 2>give you great maneuvers, but not a lot of emotion
<v Speaker 2>with like with what he does. In other words, I
<v Speaker 2>don't feel any like emotional ties to his character. I
<v Speaker 2>don't I don't have any emotional investment in him the
<v Speaker 2>only thing then and right now. Sadly, I think most
<v Speaker 2>people look at Ricochet and say, man, he's the guy
<v Speaker 2>with the cool moves, instead of looking at him and saying, hey,
<v Speaker 2>that's a guy I can relate to. That's a guy
<v Speaker 2>I can get behind and live through. Unfortunately, for Ricochet,
<v Speaker 2>his entire character is one dimensional of just being the
<v Speaker 2>guy that can do inhuman moves, and he can. But
<v Speaker 2>with rich Holland here, you know, I was surprised he
<v Speaker 2>got the victory only because rich Holland seems to be
<v Speaker 2>the protege, protege to Seamous, and you would imagine that
<v Speaker 2>a protege to Seamus should start getting some victories and
<v Speaker 2>piling them up, but he didn't. However, this then evolved
<v Speaker 2>into a tag team match that saw Holland and Seamus
<v Speaker 2>then get the win back by defeating Ricoshet and Cesarro. So,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, you talk about fifty to fifty booking here,
<v Speaker 2>but what did you think about the tag match that
<v Speaker 2>resulted from this?
<v Speaker 4>It was pretty much like they finally got their their
<v Speaker 4>deserved win, they got their like paid back for that.
<v Speaker 4>Rich On finally got the win like with his partner
<v Speaker 4>Shamous and and both of them. Like what's really interesting
<v Speaker 4>is it has a little bit of a nostalgic feel
<v Speaker 4>for like Ireland's finals, Like, for example, Finley horns Rogo
<v Speaker 4>and sucks such iron Ireland Superstars. And it's actually interesting
<v Speaker 4>to see because like he had the way with his
<v Speaker 4>entire his entrance toitar, he had the hat, the the
<v Speaker 4>jack get the both of them had the chilele, which
<v Speaker 4>is kind of like in this a little bit of
<v Speaker 4>a remembrance for Finley. But the menus itself was pretty
<v Speaker 4>it was kind of okay in in my books. But
<v Speaker 4>it's kind of a shame see that Rick J and
<v Speaker 4>Rick J didn't get to win.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I agree, I agree, Yeah, I mean it was
<v Speaker 2>he is kind of a callback to Finley. Man, I
<v Speaker 2>haven't heard about I haven't talked about maybe Finley ever
<v Speaker 2>on this show. But a guy that you could you
<v Speaker 2>could study fit Finley one of the toughest guys in
<v Speaker 2>the business, a legitimate irishman. Yeah, it was certainly. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, but you're right, and Seamus is Seamus is
<v Speaker 2>kind of the old guard teaching a new guard, you know,
<v Speaker 2>teaching him the ropes. And I think Ridge Hollins in
<v Speaker 2>a good place, right now they seem to gell nicely.
<v Speaker 2>I think for Seamus it's one of the better things
<v Speaker 2>that's happened. It refreshes the shamous character that has been
<v Speaker 2>essentially kind of a little stale for for quite some time.
<v Speaker 2>And I think that this is helping Seamus as it
<v Speaker 2>is much helping Ridge. Even if this program is not
<v Speaker 2>really that exciting with Ricochet, you know, it's Ricochet and
<v Speaker 2>Cesarrow is not exactly exciting, but it's it's a fun
<v Speaker 2>you know you're gonna get good wrestling, you know, like
<v Speaker 2>that's that's what you know you're gonna get here. So
<v Speaker 2>all right, yeah, let's see Eric versus Jimmy Usso. Now
<v Speaker 2>this match was especially didn't last long. This match was
<v Speaker 2>over fairly quickly. I don't think that they wanted to
<v Speaker 2>give Eric too much TV time for people to tune
<v Speaker 2>in and go, who's this guy? I don't know who
<v Speaker 2>he is. I'm changing the channel.
<v Speaker 4>You know.
<v Speaker 2>It's really unfortunate because as much as they talk about
<v Speaker 2>building new stars, they didn't give Eric a whole lot
<v Speaker 2>of offense, nor do they give him a whole lot
<v Speaker 2>of airtime here. But this was not great. I don't
<v Speaker 2>think this is great not only because the match was
<v Speaker 2>super short, but you know, we had Jimmy USO defeat Eric,
<v Speaker 2>and yet we're supposed to believe that the Viking Greaders
<v Speaker 2>are a threat to the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. So
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, this was not a highlight of SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>for me. Maybe you feel differently.
<v Speaker 4>I kind of agree with you, like for a couple
<v Speaker 4>of reasons. One of the things is like they can
<v Speaker 4>give him much seven time because they wanted to like
<v Speaker 4>go on with the show. It's it's good. I mean, yes,
<v Speaker 4>I know there's not like they have a certain amount
<v Speaker 4>of time for certain matches, and it's understandable, but half
<v Speaker 4>the time, you like you want to have like a
<v Speaker 4>good lengthy match. It's been good lengthy matches that happened,
<v Speaker 4>and I wasn't really wanting to see the usoswin, which
<v Speaker 4>I kind of like not a big fanism. I am
<v Speaker 4>a big fan of the Viking leaders, and hopefully they
<v Speaker 4>could probably get the tag titles. Maybe it depends if
<v Speaker 4>like there's no interference, but unfortunately, I think it's gonna
<v Speaker 4>be the OOS that's probably gonna still hold on to
<v Speaker 4>the tag tiles come past the elimination Chambers.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe yeah, I would just I'm with you. I think
<v Speaker 2>that I I wish they had presented to us a
<v Speaker 2>little bit more of a threat or maybe like a
<v Speaker 2>story that we could dive into and go, Yeah, maybe
<v Speaker 2>I think it might be the Viking Raider's time. There's
<v Speaker 2>nothing that would tell you that this is the time
<v Speaker 2>for the Viking Raiders to dethrow in the usos, who
<v Speaker 2>are a part of the Bloodline, the most important group
<v Speaker 2>in WWE. There is really nothing. Unfortunately, if you're a
<v Speaker 2>Viking fan or you just want to see Jimmy and
<v Speaker 2>Jay lose the belts, that would tell you that the
<v Speaker 2>Viking Raiders are going to become champions at elimination Chamber.
<v Speaker 2>I don't. I don't see it. So do you do
<v Speaker 2>you see any possibility of that? Are you kind of like, yeah.
<v Speaker 4>It's kind of like fifty fifty around my book, That's
<v Speaker 4>what I'm gonna say, all.
<v Speaker 2>Right, cool, Yeah, so you're significantly You're giving them a
<v Speaker 2>much bigger chance than I am. And that's cool. You know,
<v Speaker 2>I think that that. Uh, I hope, I hope that
<v Speaker 2>there's more of a threat, you know, I hope that
<v Speaker 2>there I wish there was, because then I don't like
<v Speaker 2>to look at this match and go, uh yeah, no chance,
<v Speaker 2>but let's enjoy the match, you know.
<v Speaker 4>So all right, they did, They did. They did have
<v Speaker 4>a bit of a threat when they had the biviest
<v Speaker 4>story line with the street profits in the years ago.
<v Speaker 2>Yes they did. And you know right now, the one
<v Speaker 2>thing too that's hurting the Viking Raiders is that they
<v Speaker 2>not only now they're losing singles matches, but they also
<v Speaker 2>don't get any mic time. Like the Viking Raiders, they
<v Speaker 2>don't really you don't hear from them, and if you do,
<v Speaker 2>it's from those really really bad scripted pre match taped
<v Speaker 2>that they play it while they're walking to the ring promos,
<v Speaker 2>and those are never good almost ever. Are those those
<v Speaker 2>match or those promos good. I've never I don't think
<v Speaker 2>I've ever heard of promo that's pre taped that's really
<v Speaker 2>well done that grabbed me, that was played while somebody
<v Speaker 2>was walking to the ring. It's to me, it's just
<v Speaker 2>them checking a box saying, see we're giving a mic time. No,
<v Speaker 2>that's not real mic time, right like that, you have
<v Speaker 2>a teleprompter essentially in front of that person, which it
<v Speaker 2>what it feels like, and I don't want to be
<v Speaker 2>listening to his promo or her promo also while trying
<v Speaker 2>to watch that person walk to the ring. It's it's
<v Speaker 2>very it's it's to me, it's it kind of splits
<v Speaker 2>your divides your attention in a way that it shouldn't.
<v Speaker 2>But I don't know, so any any final thoughts on
<v Speaker 2>this before we move on to a women's segment here, No, okay,
<v Speaker 2>Aliah versus Natalia. So this has been a program that
<v Speaker 2>has been going on much longer than I thought, and
<v Speaker 2>I'm okay with it. I think it gives Natalia something
<v Speaker 2>to do other than were catiers and talk about Instagram
<v Speaker 2>or whatever she does. And and Aliyah, who has broken
<v Speaker 2>the world record for the fastest time ever. She wore
<v Speaker 2>an Aliyahu what was it? A three seventeen shot? Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so obviously a play on stone cold, which it's fine.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, like, you know, good for her. She's she's
<v Speaker 2>trying to make a name for herself and she's putting
<v Speaker 2>on okay matches. You know, she she's not embarrassing herself.
<v Speaker 2>She's getting victory after victory, even if it's in different ways.
<v Speaker 2>And this week it was via a count out from
<v Speaker 2>versus versus Natalia. I can say the word here. So
<v Speaker 2>she got a count out victory, and now next week
<v Speaker 2>they have another match. I believe. I think that that
<v Speaker 2>was put into place by Sonya Deville. So yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>what do you make Are they just trying to give
<v Speaker 2>Aliyah a bit of a winning streak to get her
<v Speaker 2>into the minds of fans as a legitimate star or what?
<v Speaker 2>What is the point of this? Is it just an
<v Speaker 2>introduction to Aliyah? What do you see the what do
<v Speaker 2>you see this as? And are you liking it?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah? So when we get I'll get to that in
<v Speaker 4>a minute. So I'm thinking, like maybe they don't. They
<v Speaker 4>want to like give it, give her like a bit
<v Speaker 4>of a push, and that's a good thing because like
<v Speaker 4>she's still like relatively new to this macdomb bread and
<v Speaker 4>not to manch. She had a decent showing in the
<v Speaker 4>Roll Rumble. Seeing that the world record happening was pretty amazing.
<v Speaker 4>And I know every week it's gonna be happening Alia
<v Speaker 4>versus Entia, Lee versus Entalia, Leave versus Italia. It's gonna
<v Speaker 4>be like, like how many times are we gonna keep
<v Speaker 4>on seeing this match? I mean, I know it's gonna
<v Speaker 4>get get like kind of boring, like time and timing again,
<v Speaker 4>but sometimes like it will be good, sometimes it will
<v Speaker 4>be bad.
<v Speaker 2>Oh and all yeah, no, no, that's the way it goes.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, just they vote, why they face each
<v Speaker 2>other what like three four times now, So it's not
<v Speaker 2>super old. I think that while fans like new all
<v Speaker 2>the time, New all the time isn't feasible. So this
<v Speaker 2>is fine to me. It gives alea to somebody to
<v Speaker 2>work with. And Natalia is the gatekeeper of the women's division.
<v Speaker 2>I look at Natalia as kind of like the Dolve
<v Speaker 2>Ziggler the men's division, where they're both really good workers.
<v Speaker 2>They're veterans, but they're never going to be centerpieces of
<v Speaker 2>their division anymore. They're gatekeepers of their respective divisions where
<v Speaker 2>they know they can work with anybody. They know they're
<v Speaker 2>going to put a good match on with anybody, and
<v Speaker 2>anybody that they're in the ring with, they're going to
<v Speaker 2>automatically give credibility to, especially for new people coming up.
<v Speaker 2>So to me, Natalia and Naliyah is fine. I think
<v Speaker 2>Natalia next week, I think it's next week they're going
<v Speaker 2>to have a dungeon match, meaning it can be only
<v Speaker 2>by pinfaller submission that the match ends. So some way, somehow,
<v Speaker 2>I think Aliah is going to continue this streak and
<v Speaker 2>maybe it'll get a little fun where, you know, just
<v Speaker 2>she gets victories that are just completely by luck. Some
<v Speaker 2>of them I think will be of her own accord,
<v Speaker 2>but I don't. I don't know. I don't know where
<v Speaker 2>this ends. But imagine elimination chamber between these two. But
<v Speaker 2>do you think as well as I do, that Aliah's
<v Speaker 2>probably gonna continue this winning streak?
<v Speaker 4>Definitely, I think. So it's gonna be interesting to see
<v Speaker 4>how it pins out, Like how long are they going
<v Speaker 4>to keep the story inline going? Sometimes she could be weeks,
<v Speaker 4>months or a whole year. I don't think it's been
<v Speaker 4>I think it's been more than years maybe, so it
<v Speaker 4>could be like like one sided being in her favor.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And the one thing I'll say too is, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I would like, if you're gonna continue this with Aliyah
<v Speaker 2>and get her give her wins, how about we kind
<v Speaker 2>of cut off the flukey wins, you know, like eventually
<v Speaker 2>she's gonna have to get credible victories that aren't just
<v Speaker 2>Lady luck on her side with countouts, or or maybe
<v Speaker 2>Natalia gets herself disqualified, or you know, somebody interfeers on
<v Speaker 2>Alia's behalf. Eventually, you know, you can't make Aliyah just
<v Speaker 2>this kind of lovable character that isn't credible and feels
<v Speaker 2>like a threat to anybody because she wins in flukey ways.
<v Speaker 2>Eventually they're gonna have to make her win of her
<v Speaker 2>own accord, not just these just she's completely just lucking
<v Speaker 2>out on her victories. So I will say that too.
<v Speaker 2>But all right, let's get a little more serious topic here.
<v Speaker 2>Drew McIntyre's war path is how this segment was labeled.
<v Speaker 2>And I was hoping, you know, I will say I
<v Speaker 2>was really hoping when they said that this is Drew
<v Speaker 2>McIntyre's war path, we're gonna hear from him on what's next.
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, okay, cool, they're gonna pivot away from Corbin
<v Speaker 2>in Mad Cat Moss. This is finally done. We're gonna
<v Speaker 2>have Drew McIntyre into an actual program. Maybe call Roman
<v Speaker 2>out by name. I know he's in a program with
<v Speaker 2>Brock and you know, Roman's a bit of a mess too,
<v Speaker 2>but at least set his sights on something else and
<v Speaker 2>he still said that he's going to make Corbyn's life
<v Speaker 2>a living hell for like basically forever. And I'm thinking
<v Speaker 2>to myself, no, no, like, fans are done with this.
<v Speaker 2>You have beaten them cleanly, you eliminated them both from
<v Speaker 2>the rumble. There's nothing left to prove, and Drew seems
<v Speaker 2>to be the one continuing this. And I don't think
<v Speaker 2>fans have any interest in Corbyn versus McIntyre or Mad
<v Speaker 2>Cat Moss versus McIntyre. That's me. It's good to see
<v Speaker 2>McIntyre getting full support from the crowd again and that
<v Speaker 2>he you know, he's in He's on TV in a
<v Speaker 2>prominent position. What do you make of Drew McIntyre continuing
<v Speaker 2>this program with Mad Cat Moss and Baron Corbyn.
<v Speaker 4>Particularly, Well, let's say it was definitely good to see
<v Speaker 4>him return, and particularly I think like too much like
<v Speaker 4>TV time for Corbyn. So his promos are like his
<v Speaker 4>like the jokes they're like so like so bad, and
<v Speaker 4>I'm thinking, like, why does he do the jokes and
<v Speaker 4>where did he come up with them?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, Yeah, I don't know. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>where he comes up with them either. I think I
<v Speaker 2>mean they're purposefully bad. They're supposed to be bad. They're
<v Speaker 2>supposed to be heat heat grabbingly bad, like we're supposed
<v Speaker 2>to be annoyed by them, but they're at the I
<v Speaker 2>don't know. I I think mad Cat Moss. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>remember when he was Riddick Moss, when he was actually
<v Speaker 2>a character that you you know, you had some you know,
<v Speaker 2>had some death to it other than this this character.
<v Speaker 2>But hey, I think that right now, the beyond the
<v Speaker 2>jokes that we have, this should end. We have a
<v Speaker 2>program now that has an ending, and that is Drew
<v Speaker 2>versus Corbyn at Elimination Chamber assumingly. So do you do
<v Speaker 2>you see after Elimination Chamber Drew still messing with Corbin
<v Speaker 2>and Mad Cat Moss Or do you see Drew finally
<v Speaker 2>after Elimination Chamber turning away and setting his sights on
<v Speaker 2>someone else?
<v Speaker 4>Well, I could definitely put it into different perspectives. So
<v Speaker 4>like perspective number one, he would definitely want bands on
<v Speaker 4>them both to like trying to take almost trying to
<v Speaker 4>take him out out of action from day one, and
<v Speaker 4>I know for sure he still hasn't forgot about that.
<v Speaker 4>And perspective number two, maybe you could keep it going
<v Speaker 4>or maybe you go end it there all of attention.
<v Speaker 4>Who wins.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I don't see a scenario though in which Drew
<v Speaker 2>loses this at elimination Schaper And again I don't know
<v Speaker 2>what the matches yet. We'll find out. It'll be something
<v Speaker 2>along the lines of Drew versus Corbyn and Matt Cat
<v Speaker 2>Moss and I don't know, but there's just to me
<v Speaker 2>in the road to WrestleMania with one of your biggest stars.
<v Speaker 2>He was the final two facing rock Leszner and the Rumble.
<v Speaker 2>He came back early from an injury. He talked about
<v Speaker 2>how this doctors told him not to come back. He
<v Speaker 2>doubted his ability to compete. Uh and basically Drew told him,
<v Speaker 2>you know, to just to f off and I'm gonna
<v Speaker 2>do this and he did. And so I think that
<v Speaker 2>I don't hate these this program with Drew and and Corbyn,
<v Speaker 2>or rather mad Cat Moss and Corbyn. I think the
<v Speaker 2>only the problem I have with it is it's it's February.
<v Speaker 2>It's February now. Like Drew, I feel like should be
<v Speaker 2>in a solidified main event program of some sort, even
<v Speaker 2>if it's not for a championship, at least with an
<v Speaker 2>equal main event caliber talent. I mean, I just I
<v Speaker 2>don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I I.
<v Speaker 2>Just it's so deep now into the season, with only
<v Speaker 2>less than two months to WrestleMania. I don't know. I
<v Speaker 2>guess I expected McIntyre to be in a bigger position
<v Speaker 2>than he is now. But maybe the tune will change
<v Speaker 2>after Elimination Chamber in a couple of weeks.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, definitely, it will probably like depend on who gets
<v Speaker 4>the upper hand and like like who has the better
<v Speaker 4>chance like Pastling and Javor. Maybe leaning up to WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's very possible. It is all right. Shins K
<v Speaker 2>versus Jenner Mahal was up next, So I guess I
<v Speaker 2>won't have any analysis on this. I'll turn it to
<v Speaker 2>you first. What did you think about this?
<v Speaker 4>I thought, like seeing since Gate is like he's like
<v Speaker 4>really a fan favorite, seam for Booth and obviously pat
<v Speaker 4>like nat By going on on top of the now
<v Speaker 4>table just doing air guitar. It's just funny, and like
<v Speaker 4>I thought it was pretty seeing him win, seeing him
<v Speaker 4>compete is pretty good. Unlike both of them, and if
<v Speaker 4>they have a good definitely tag team future.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, they you seem to be like a legitimate tag
<v Speaker 2>team and I'm fine with it. You know, uh, we
<v Speaker 2>don't know where Vi Mahon is. He's going to raw,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I don't think he debuted yet. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>that's like a running joke. I don't believe vir Mahon
<v Speaker 2>debuted yet. But now it looks like Shanky is the
<v Speaker 2>uh is the seven foot bodyguard for Jenner Mahall for
<v Speaker 2>lack of a better term, And you know the Knackamara
<v Speaker 2>did beat mahaal here, So I mean that that kind
<v Speaker 2>of tells you where they view Jenner Mahall. But at
<v Speaker 2>the same time, they're trying to elevate the Interconninental Championship,
<v Speaker 2>which has been forgotten for like eight months. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it's it's it's really I'm sorry. It's sad that they
<v Speaker 2>have completely neglected the Intercontinental Championship. There's no excuse for it.
<v Speaker 2>Then they can't tell you, oh, it didn't have anything
<v Speaker 2>for storyline. It's really a shame what they've done with
<v Speaker 2>the ICY title, especially given it's around the talent. Top
<v Speaker 2>talent like na caamro So Sammy's ain't is going to
<v Speaker 2>be getting the Intercontinental Championship match though it's going to
<v Speaker 2>happen in two weeks, which is the night before the
<v Speaker 2>elimination Chamber of pay per view, So that Interconninental Championship
<v Speaker 2>match is happening. Do you think Sammy in two weeks
<v Speaker 2>is going to take the icy belt or do you
<v Speaker 2>think it's gonna spill into elimination chamber? And what are
<v Speaker 2>your thoughts?
<v Speaker 4>Hmmm. So it's a good way I could see it
<v Speaker 4>in different so like like like side number one, I
<v Speaker 4>mean he's been seeing it like I'm the right playing
<v Speaker 4>conal champion. I'm the one that starves to be championed.
<v Speaker 4>I'm the right playing rand champion, NonStop, over and over
<v Speaker 4>and over. I mean how many times we can hear
<v Speaker 4>see that, like a we get that. It's like NonStop,
<v Speaker 4>like he wants a title. He thinks it's like it's
<v Speaker 4>it's the life. He thinks it's like his like his
<v Speaker 4>wants more than the need. And we kind of seem
<v Speaker 4>that not like every time he comes out, it's like
<v Speaker 4>every time he even had the merchandise thing, I'm the
<v Speaker 4>right winner O'Connell champion, Like really, I mean seriously, he
<v Speaker 4>we know you want the title, but you got to
<v Speaker 4>earn your way up. It's simple that. And Richinsky is
<v Speaker 4>the champion. I kind of like his reign as champion.
<v Speaker 4>I think it's still gonna I mean, there's gonna be
<v Speaker 4>a time where he does his reign will end, and
<v Speaker 4>that's understandable, but maybe it'll pick up up again, like
<v Speaker 4>later on in the future.
<v Speaker 2>I really hope that Sammy does capture the belts, and
<v Speaker 2>not because I don't like Knakamura. I just don't like
<v Speaker 2>what WWE has done with Knakamura as champion. It's uh.
<v Speaker 2>I think they could you more with Sammy, or at
<v Speaker 2>least I believe they would because they they do like
<v Speaker 2>sammy' z ain. They put him in you know, several
<v Speaker 2>segments on the show. Sammy's a good talker. You know
<v Speaker 2>he can wrestle for sure, and Knakhimer versus Shinske, or
<v Speaker 2>rather Knackaimer versus Sammy z Ain is gonna be a
<v Speaker 2>great match. I mean, these two go black all the
<v Speaker 2>way to NXT, putting on some amazing matches in NXT,
<v Speaker 2>so I have no doubt that the quality of this
<v Speaker 2>match is going to be a plus, so that that's
<v Speaker 2>never a concern. Maybe the only concern is Rick Books
<v Speaker 2>fixing his electric guitar that was obviously a complete I
<v Speaker 2>mean it was a mistake. I mean, it wasn't it
<v Speaker 2>wasn't planned. He was trying to uh, you know, he
<v Speaker 2>was trying and it clearly wasn't hooked up to the
<v Speaker 2>mic right or something, and he immediately went to just
<v Speaker 2>you know, his his voice part of it. So he
<v Speaker 2>improvised and Pat McAfee's you said, was on the desk dancing.
<v Speaker 2>You know, Pat McAfee does some weird stuff. I gotta say,
<v Speaker 2>I have no, I don't. I don't just like Pat McAfee,
<v Speaker 2>but I gotta say the guy is he's he may
<v Speaker 2>for me. He might be too high energy. He flips
<v Speaker 2>his pencil eight times a show. I think he spends
<v Speaker 2>more time flipping his pencil making sure he can do
<v Speaker 2>it correctly than he does at times, you know, doing
<v Speaker 2>things he should be doing. But you know, I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>what do you think, just generally a little bit off topic,
<v Speaker 2>what do you think about Pat McAfee and his skills
<v Speaker 2>on the mic?
<v Speaker 4>It's pretty good. I know his like I've seen a
<v Speaker 4>little bit of his time in the ring he had
<v Speaker 4>with I think i've stuss and I think it was
<v Speaker 4>Pete doone as if I said it correctly, dune or done.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if I said it right, but he has.
<v Speaker 4>I never seen him much in me, but on the
<v Speaker 4>mike he's pretty good.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, yeah, And I think he's he's breathed life
<v Speaker 2>into not just the commentary team, but also the SmackDown broadcast.
<v Speaker 2>He is so high energy that the broadcast never feels boring.
<v Speaker 2>Even if you're watching a segment that you're not too
<v Speaker 2>in into, he sometimes makes you feel like you should
<v Speaker 2>be watching. So I'll give him that. Even even at
<v Speaker 2>times if he just goes off the rails and says
<v Speaker 2>silly things or flips his pencil at forty times like whatever.
<v Speaker 2>You know, he has his quirks that are annoying, but
<v Speaker 2>at the same time, he brings an intangible quality to
<v Speaker 2>the table. And Michael Cole even said that, you know
<v Speaker 2>his himself, that that Pat McAfee has rejuvenated his career
<v Speaker 2>and he's given new life to his career. So that's
<v Speaker 2>a hell of a compliment, all right. Well, the next match,
<v Speaker 2>which is the match before the main segment here New
<v Speaker 2>Day versus Los Lotharios. So this this match, I have
<v Speaker 2>a I have maybe I missed something here and now
<v Speaker 2>the match itself. I thought was fine, I mean really good.
<v Speaker 2>I had no problem Los Lotharios are They're really starting
<v Speaker 2>to jell as a tag team. They feel like a
<v Speaker 2>legit tag team. Uh and New Day did beat them.
<v Speaker 2>But my question is why is Biggie on SmackDown right now?
<v Speaker 2>We were told that he's only on SmackDown last the
<v Speaker 2>last several weeks because it's Royal rumble season. And to me,
<v Speaker 2>that's a weak excuse. I mean, it's a draft just
<v Speaker 2>because it's rumble season. There's nothing we were told. It
<v Speaker 2>says if it's a rumble season, anybody can go anywhere.
<v Speaker 2>And now all of a sudden, well what is it?
<v Speaker 2>What's the excuse?
<v Speaker 4>Now?
<v Speaker 2>Is it elimination Chamber season? And I know almost people
<v Speaker 2>don't care about this stuff, but there's really just to me,
<v Speaker 2>I'm a big stickler on rules when it comes to
<v Speaker 2>the draft, and Big Ee's here. I know Kofee needs
<v Speaker 2>a tag partner, but this is not only to me,
<v Speaker 2>a complete violation of the draft and it's frustrating for
<v Speaker 2>the fans and insulting defans, but more importantly not just
<v Speaker 2>my own personal feelings being hurt, which they're really not,
<v Speaker 2>but Big E for his singles career. This is setting
<v Speaker 2>his singles career back by months and months and months.
<v Speaker 2>We were told that Big Eie was on his singles run,
<v Speaker 2>and every chance we get, we hear about big Eie.
<v Speaker 2>You know, do you know any chance I get, they
<v Speaker 2>reunite Biggie with Xavier Woods and Kofee. Every chance they get,
<v Speaker 2>they team them up together. Now he's inexplicably unsmacked Down
<v Speaker 2>teaming with Kofee again, as if he never left the
<v Speaker 2>New Day. So what do you think about? I know
<v Speaker 2>there's a multi layered question here. I'll start with do
<v Speaker 2>you care even that Biggie's on SmackDown? Or does that
<v Speaker 2>not bother you?
<v Speaker 4>I mean, it's no surprise that he's on SmackDown. I mean, yes,
<v Speaker 4>Kobe needed a tag team because apparently Fabre Woods is
<v Speaker 4>currently injured and out on the sidelines. So it's I'm
<v Speaker 4>totally fine that he's on SmackDown, like trying to like
<v Speaker 4>fill in the role for Saber Woods until he's like
<v Speaker 4>fully back healthy and back on the show.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe Okay, so now that's fine. You know, sometimes I
<v Speaker 2>wish I didn't carr either. Sometimes I wish I just
<v Speaker 2>enjoyed the product that I moved on. Maybe because I
<v Speaker 2>podcast do this podcast, that I have to look at
<v Speaker 2>it with a more critical eye. But yeah, maybe that's
<v Speaker 2>what it is. It's my own detriment. But at the
<v Speaker 2>same time, I I feel insulted that they're not even
<v Speaker 2>just telling us an expert give us something. They're not
<v Speaker 2>doing anything. And that was a trade made. Okay, fine,
<v Speaker 2>trades are done all the time and all the professional sports.
<v Speaker 2>But the other thing is, what about Biggie's career. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>we were told that, you know, Biggie, everybody was looking
<v Speaker 2>forward to Biggie as a single star on a singles run,
<v Speaker 2>and he became WW champion, and now he's back to
<v Speaker 2>as if he never left the New Day at all,
<v Speaker 2>doing the clapping and the chanting and the hip swiveling. Like,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, do you feel like Biggie is regressing
<v Speaker 2>by going back into the New Day team on a
<v Speaker 2>regular basis now? Or do you do you do you
<v Speaker 2>think he'll be just fine?
<v Speaker 4>Maybe he could go back with the team took or
<v Speaker 4>maybe the right part of Dabord Woods is like him
<v Speaker 4>to the King kind of thing, like the opportunity's knocking
<v Speaker 4>for him.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. No, doubt about it, all right, Naomi and Sonya Deville,
<v Speaker 2>So you wanted to talk about that quickly, so go ahead.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, all right. So Naomi came into the office for
<v Speaker 4>something to go, and I understand the rivalry is just
<v Speaker 4>driving me nuts. I mean, like when I had to Jack,
<v Speaker 4>I mean our majority, you can't even touch me. I mean, please,
<v Speaker 4>can you stop with that nonsense for once? Please, just
<v Speaker 4>for once, That's all I wanted to happen there, and
<v Speaker 4>is like, it's come up with the idea and give
<v Speaker 4>her a title shot with shar Player next week on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 4>and Yaomi says like this, Sonya Deville, I still ain't
<v Speaker 4>done with you yet, which is kind of interesting. I
<v Speaker 4>understand that. I see she ain't done with her yet,
<v Speaker 4>and like finally Naomi gets gets like one week when
<v Speaker 4>she is in it to be at Sony Deville's throat
<v Speaker 4>and then she can focus on the Women's champions Charlotte Player.
<v Speaker 2>I hope they go back to Naomi and Sonya Deville.
<v Speaker 2>The thing is though, that I think they took way
<v Speaker 2>too long to get to the match, Like they took
<v Speaker 2>five months, I mean maybe longer to actually get to
<v Speaker 2>that match, and like you said, the whole jacket thing
<v Speaker 2>is just ridiculous. I mean there's nothing, Like where where
<v Speaker 2>in the contract does it say that if I'm wearing
<v Speaker 2>a specific item of clothing that it changes the position
<v Speaker 2>that I'm in. Like if I go to work and
<v Speaker 2>I wear a tie and then I take off my
<v Speaker 2>tie and I'm like, yeah, I'm not working here right now,
<v Speaker 2>I'm actually I'm actually a customer. I'm not a and
<v Speaker 2>I'm not an employee because I'm wearing a different piece
<v Speaker 2>of clothing. That there's no there's no practical logic to that.
<v Speaker 2>There's nothing. It's just it is the most ridiculous thing ever.
<v Speaker 2>And then the one time Naomi was smart enough to
<v Speaker 2>get it off her by turning up the thermostat a
<v Speaker 2>few weeks ago, she doesn't take advantage and just gets
<v Speaker 2>back in her face. I'm like, you should clock her,
<v Speaker 2>Like what are you doing? You just get back in
<v Speaker 2>her face. You don't need to have her take her
<v Speaker 2>jacket off to do that. So there's been some really
<v Speaker 2>frustrating moments for me during this, And apparently she believes.
<v Speaker 2>Naomi believes that having just getting rear view and then
<v Speaker 2>eliminating her from the rumbles enough to equate to all
<v Speaker 2>the torture she's put her through for five months. But
<v Speaker 2>I think, like you said, this match is, this matchup
<v Speaker 2>is not over. It will probably culminate at an elimination
<v Speaker 2>chamber in some way. And I do, oh, I do
<v Speaker 2>want to I do want to see Naomi just just
<v Speaker 2>beat the holy hell out of her. I mean, and
<v Speaker 2>there's just no other way about it. So they've done
<v Speaker 2>a good job in that respect. Where Sonya has positioned
<v Speaker 2>herself as a heel, they've done a nice job of
<v Speaker 2>positioning her as a heel. I just don't know how
<v Speaker 2>upper management hasn't gotten involved. I mean, this is many
<v Speaker 2>months of abuse of power. How has vince not getting
<v Speaker 2>gotten involved? Is he too busy concealing his one hundred
<v Speaker 2>million dollar golden egg from Austin theory? Is he too
<v Speaker 2>basic busy mumbling in his office to himself? Is he
<v Speaker 2>too busy? I mean, look what's happening there. Where's the
<v Speaker 2>board of directors? Why hasn't Naomi gone above her head?
<v Speaker 2>Their middle management?
<v Speaker 4>So I don't know, I mean, I mean Vinceman is
<v Speaker 4>too busy, like saying like Austin theory is his favorite
<v Speaker 4>or some or something like that. I think I think
<v Speaker 4>Vince is just like too like sort of a pain
<v Speaker 4>in the neck. I mean, it's just like not a
<v Speaker 4>help to the brand itself and it's like hurting its
<v Speaker 4>reputation as well.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah it is, it is, no doubt. And so so
<v Speaker 2>I did notice that my recorder as as the line
<v Speaker 2>went out, actually cut off two segments that we talked about.
<v Speaker 2>So rather than have me rehash everything, people want to
<v Speaker 2>hear from you rather than me, So just recap two things,
<v Speaker 2>the topic about Biggie and his participation on on the
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown and why that he's on SmackDown and if that
<v Speaker 2>bothers you, and then the Ronda Rowsey segment. So it's
<v Speaker 2>just the last two segments of the show if you
<v Speaker 2>want to kind of summarize your thoughts on that, just
<v Speaker 2>because I want to make sure you get a fair shake. Here,
<v Speaker 2>my recorder when hey wire is everything just went out,
<v Speaker 2>So go ahead.
<v Speaker 4>It happened so good. Well first, no big deal about there,
<v Speaker 4>We're playing. So basically for Ron Browsey, I think it's
<v Speaker 4>like a good step in likeurn or return. She has
<v Speaker 4>definitely had a big plus leaning up to WrestleMania and
<v Speaker 4>it's for like big Eie like him on SmackDown. It's
<v Speaker 4>like I think it's I find it as like okay,
<v Speaker 4>like for now like it all depending on how they
<v Speaker 4>see him, like were they seen in the storylines, like
<v Speaker 4>how they want to push him or they want to
<v Speaker 4>put him next And hopefully as soon that Tabor Woods
<v Speaker 4>will be returning back to the branch snaped down.
<v Speaker 2>Cool all right, and what about your thoughts on Ronda
<v Speaker 2>Rowsey coming out? She challenged Charlotte Flair rather than choosing
<v Speaker 2>Becky Lynch, saying she didn't come through a nice storm
<v Speaker 2>to to talk, and then she said that she'll see
<v Speaker 2>her at WrestleMania. Sonya Devilla gets involved, she ends up
<v Speaker 2>in an arm bar. Are you excited about the potential
<v Speaker 2>of just one on one here or would you have
<v Speaker 2>rather had Ron to choose Becky?
<v Speaker 4>Uh? Either way, I think it's gonna be a hell
<v Speaker 4>of a match to see seeing Ron and Rowsey back
<v Speaker 4>his champions and then seeing swiming Deville in the arm
<v Speaker 4>bar and keeping give house. She did it to Stephie
<v Speaker 4>McMahon in New Orleans or Wrestling when she was teaming
<v Speaker 4>kerr Angle, and she even did it when during the
<v Speaker 4>Levi's Stadium, and she simply Sonya definitely got her come
<v Speaker 4>uppins for that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Sony. Like I said, Sony Deville is just such
<v Speaker 2>a She's done a really good job. I really do
<v Speaker 2>wonder when they're going to put her back in a
<v Speaker 2>full time position. I mean, the women's division always needs help.
<v Speaker 2>There's thin as always. I mean I was surprised they didn't,
<v Speaker 2>you know, do something more with her several months ago.
<v Speaker 2>I mean when she was getting involved in Naomi. I said, oh,
<v Speaker 2>this is her transition back to a back to a
<v Speaker 2>full time performer, and they still haven't done that. So
<v Speaker 2>I don't know why, and maybe she's not pushing for it.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. But why Sonya Deville is just in
<v Speaker 2>this role and how she got it in the first place,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, no one ever explained that either. Why she's
<v Speaker 2>a w W official. She went from performer to official
<v Speaker 2>with no explanation. She just is. And you know, I
<v Speaker 2>think she's doing a good job of it of being
<v Speaker 2>a heel. But I would like to see Sonya eventually
<v Speaker 2>transition back to an actual performer because she can cut
<v Speaker 2>some really good promos. I mean, we saw it with
<v Speaker 2>the Mandy rose Otis storyline. A couple of years ago
<v Speaker 2>before WrestleMania, that was the best work Selling Deville ever did,
<v Speaker 2>and since that time it's been kind of like just
<v Speaker 2>off a cliff, So.
<v Speaker 4>It has definitely all.
<v Speaker 2>Right, cool, Well this is a lot of fun. Well, first,
<v Speaker 2>is there anything else that I missed on SmackDown or
<v Speaker 2>that you wanted to touch on? Oh, and the one
<v Speaker 2>second that got cut out was wrap up your Lida
<v Speaker 2>and you're Leita challenging Becky Lynch thoughts and if you
<v Speaker 2>believe there's there's an opportunity for Leada to actually capture
<v Speaker 2>the belt going into WrestleMania, So.
<v Speaker 4>Basically, I'll try to do it one more time, so
<v Speaker 4>I remember what I said. So it's kind of interesting
<v Speaker 4>how Weda is going to try to challenge the champion.
<v Speaker 4>But one thing I understand, it's like, maybe it's not
<v Speaker 4>the right time for you to like challenge for a championship.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe try to get a match. It depends because she
<v Speaker 4>hasn't had match in like years and last time was
<v Speaker 4>the Royal Rumble in like recently Roll Rumble and then
<v Speaker 4>twenty eighteen Roll Rubble, So it's going to be hard
<v Speaker 4>to tell she still has what it takes to actually
<v Speaker 4>dominate a match inspective.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm very interestill on the quality of the match
<v Speaker 2>of that. I mean, Lida can still go, but she
<v Speaker 2>can't go with the you know, the the pace that
<v Speaker 2>she was fifteen years ago. There's not out about that.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, she's aged, she's in her forties now, but
<v Speaker 2>she's still decent on the mic. She's got some good
<v Speaker 2>star power. The crowd is really behind her, and I
<v Speaker 2>think her and Becky are I think they'll have a
<v Speaker 2>good match. I don't think it'll be five star. It's
<v Speaker 2>just we're looking. We're gonna look at this and go.
<v Speaker 2>That was a good match, given how long lead has
<v Speaker 2>been out of the ring. I think that was fine.
<v Speaker 2>And then we'll move on to Becky Lynch's true opponent,
<v Speaker 2>which I think will be Bianca bell Air at least
<v Speaker 2>Bianca bell Air at WrestleMania, and then probably Becky will
<v Speaker 2>lose it there. But we're getting a few steps ahead.
<v Speaker 2>So cool. Well, Sean, thank you for joining us tonight.
<v Speaker 2>Is there any any social media you'd like to to
<v Speaker 2>put out there for people to follow you if they're interested.

<v Speaker 2>be right in the thick of WrestleMania. Will be a
<v Speaker 2>mere month away until WrestleMania by that time, so looking
