Hey everyone, It's Tuesday, January the eleventh, twenty eleven. Little oh one one one one one right, enjoy it all right? Well binary, this is the Giant Bomb Cast. I'm Ryan Davis. That's those those pipes you're here in, those golden pipes right there, belong to one mister Vinnie Caravella. There's a two in there. This is twenty eleven, so it's broken. But two is just two ones. So it's one one o one one one one one oh one. I'm gonna go home for another week. I'll see you en back in the house. Not since twenty ten, not since the old days? Have we seen you? Yeah? Jeff? Yes? What are things like in the future? Jeff uh in the future? You wake up around one pm? That's the past. Oh man, No more stand up till five, waking up at one and then going go karting. I got pretty good at go karting. Yeah yeah? Where are you go karting? Is that an indoor place up behind the outback staycassens formerly the linens and things track? It used to be a subpar bed bath and beyond not off dirt tracker or or pavement like like not even pavement it's indoor, so it's like, yeah, it's not even slick track. It's it's like it's like a warehouse. It's a concrete concrete warehouse. Yeah, smooth. And they're all gas powered, right, so I don't know they move. Yeah, they went pretty fast drift I did. I also spun out a couple of times. That's what happens when you try and drift. If you wear a helmet, yeah you do. They make you buy a head the sock, which is like this black rag that you put over your head first, not quite a full doc look like a hood, kind of look a little bad there, like a little clanny or a little bit. Doesn't cover your face. But you can't rob a bank with it. No, you cannot rub a bank. You can wear backwards, but then you wouldn't You have to cut eye holes. And I don't see where this plant can go wrong. Yeah, and that's Brad Shoemaker the quartet in your go cart. Get the hell out of there, Brad. You have much go cart experience. I don't think I've ever been in a go cart really like a real really so shocking. I guess because I had spent my youth basically in a go cart. I figured down south there must be tracks like and I figured the love of the Nascar that kind of I don't actually love Nascar, right, the exposed go kart race like professionally and yeah, like ridiculous go carts. Yeah yeah, yeah, like that's that's too far gone. These were not those, but yeah, those are almost just like just poor safety cars. Yeah. Yeah, you're going like sixty miles an hour around a go kart tracks. I'm just gone. You've gotten that thing. It's not enough. It's always the answer to that question. More of them go carts fun. Go carts are fun? Was so short, so it was talking in rooms. Yeah, added rooms, padded rooms, baffled rooms. How do you feel about this? Baffling? I'm baffled if this past founding. In the words of Brad Shoemaker's it looks a little less institutional in here now. Yeah, it looks a little bit less like South American tyrannical regimes kill room now, a little more padded in seeing the silence. Yeah, okay, you wouldn't have white walls in your kill room. Point one point two. You're gonna need like a drain in the center of the floor, not this carpet ship. Wouldn't you want white rooms in your kill rooms? Absolutely? Anybody why I'm going to say that if you're bound to a chair that concrete walls and a drain in the middle of the floor, that's pretty scary too. Yeah, But imagine if the walls were just white paper with just like red and gook all on them. Well, then well then in this room does not look like that, or if they just looked like they've been freshly painted. Because okay, all right, I'm back on board with the white kill room. Regardless, it looks less like like any of those things in this room because we put up a little bit of sound dampening material magic some of it, some of it magically adhered to the walls. We're not I don't think we're even sure of the physics that are causing some of these things to stay where they are. But only a couple of these were actually great for it. Well, when the earthquake comes, we had one. We had one Friday, there was an earthquake during the Friday Live I was watching your live show on Friday. There was an earthquake. Well, we were doing that. I heard I heard that happen and went but no, and we looked at you guys made the earth move. We did ethan screaming and running out of then I wasn't sure what was going on. I thought that was just for our benefit, I think. And then afterwards people in the chat were like, there was an earthquake. I'm not gonna die out here, and then what actually he is? He doesn't he doesn't know that yet. I just painted the walls. Yeah four point one shabby, right, I mean it's not you know, it's not killing, but it's it's one that you can totally miss. Yeah, four point one, you can totally Just like I was walking down the street and didn't notice that there was an earth Some people up where I was at claimed that they felt it. I did not. All Right, there you go. There's earthquake talk for twenty eleven. All right, see you next week. See you guys. Uh. We could also talk about games. We've We've talked about que rocket launcher, car racing and kill earthquakes and kill rooms and baffling anything else. You want now to make one game that features all these things, go, that's my talk this year. I love it ravel hey man, to talk about predators. Let's talk about Predators, It's okay, that was all right, that's all right. I enjoyed it. I'd opened strong. Yeah, it opens like a X Men. It's just the free fall. You're like, oh fuck, oh fuck? Is that really Adrian Brody? Yeah, So, knowing next to nothing about the cast of that movie, is he the heavy he is? He's Arnold Schwarzen. He pulls it off. He pulls it off better than you would expect, better, better than you dispect. That's bad. As much as I will say this about Predators, better than Predator Too, Danny Glover, Yeah, that wasn't I don't even know what that was. It was like a crime drama. I'm just saying better than Predator Too. Who was wash Bill Paxson was in Predator to? Was that? I was trying to think of the military. Who are the military, dude? They weren't military. Well, like the secret the dude two try to hunt the predators that are working against Danny Glover, I weren't. I recall nothing other than really, you've reached the limits of my knowledge about Predator Too, because I don't remember anything about Predator two other than Danny Glover was in. Remember Danny Glover was in it, and it Bill Paxton with a mustaches in it. Gary Busey is in it. Yeah, these guys are all like special Ops guys, aren't they. No, they were all just like his cop team. I don't remember, and I remember there was a subway sequence and then the predator didn't kill a lady because she was pregnant and predator that's not how predators were what. Oh yeah, fuck that movie. What the hell's a code of honor? That's how predators are all. They don't care. They're gonna kill the pregnant lady. There klingons before the Universal Translator got invented. They have their their codes, and it would have ripped out that little baby spine and put it on the wall. It's just like with hunters. You want to you know, you want a predator, an adult prey. You're reading it for the hunt, yes, not for the taste. So it's not like veal No, I mean they're all they all they take as a trophy. They don't they're ripping out skulls. Can't rip out a baby skull like that, but you can. It was just gonna get all squishy. It's very malleable. Also, the predator physics of being able to rip the base of a skull or a spine attached to the skull and one clean stroke is pretty amazing. They're really good pull that off. But doesn't he rips from the top down right. It's more believable to me if you start at the neck and kind of grabs like the top of that, yeah, scalp in the case in predators, he like starts from like the base of the spine. It seems like goes and like skulls with bottom. That seems what you know, you started either end. I think you gotta. It's like peeling a banana, Like one ends easier than the other. But you can do it either way. I don't know. There's like no no tension to stop the spine from snapping or popping or just all comes out clean. They're good. Predators have popped out many quan spines other types of animals. Get the kill room ready, we'll find out. Just think of all the failures, like, all right, try it again, fuck keep pulling, just put it back in, got it halfway anyway? That movie's weird. To get your predator hunter's license, you have to be able to cleanly rip the skull and spine. That's it. It's like gutting a fish. It's like, it's just one of those things you got your your predator dad teaches you how to do. When you just pay Sega five dollars a month, they give you your hunter's license. The predators. The predators present the same quandary to me that like Klingons do or the Krogans do, which is can you envision any other role in predators society? Well, so I was thinking hard about that with the predators specifically, like what does the predator housewife? Because because like the predators are so fucking savage, right, but they have all of this high tech ship. Yeah, like I can't imagine like predator it, but there has to be predator its dude who's like, ah, fuck my wrist explode thing? H is on the free They just all know that shit and the fix it themselves. Well, where is the predator R and D and lab coats that are making the stuff In the first the best hunters have become they're elders or whatever. Comics put this out in eighty five. Guys, fucking dumb ass with glasses? What are you stupid? I want to know. These are These are questions that I want answers to. So if you are dark Horse Comics, give us a call. Let's talk predators. How you're listening to predators? This is k pread you're on the air. Uh yeah, game. I'm not going to talk to you first, all right, because I talked to you last week. All right. I haven't talked to Jeff podcasting really long time. Jeff, you you took an additional week, took a little bit more of a knee I did, and now you're back. Yeah, and that was cool. Hey, how was your break? It was good. I don't know you do anything fun I other than raised go kart racing. Did you go to the outback afterwards? No? No, I went somewhere else for lunch. You know, you don't go steak outs for lunch. Does that one open before four? Yeah? I don't. I don't know that it might not be. Actually I might not have been open. Even went to the Elpoia Loca. No, that would have been the best boom. That would have been great also, but it did not work out like that for us. Yeah, I don't know. I you know, the first week off, I did kind of the regular Christmas stuff. I've sit around and do nothing and then see family at one point and be annoyed that I had to stop sitting around and doing nothing to go see family, which then made that second week of sitting around and doing nothing that much sweeter. Uninterrupted, uninterrupted, uncut. No, I don't know it was. You know, there's a lot of stuff around the house I had to get done, and you know, I eventually got to that point where it's like I'm gonna do one thing a day just so I don't feel like this time is just completely slipping away. Today I went to the hardware store butt light bulbs. You know, like it got to that point where so it was pretty awesome. Rat genocide, Yeah, a little bit of Yeah, some rodents got taken care of. Got theirs, they got theirs. Yeah, now Schwitz absolutely, Yeah, that was too much. Jeff, tell me about games. Did you play any video games? Yeah? Kind of, I don't know. Sure, tell me about fucking Layer of the Shadow Broker. Yeah. I played all the all the Mass Effect too, DLC are there? What are there? There? Three of those? Fire? The only stuff I had played up to that point was like Normandy Crash Site and it's the heat or whatever, the day one stuff. So when they went on sale at one point over the break, all that stuff went on sale, so spot all of it at that point, always a little pissed at how cheap they made it all because Yeah, and then and then work my way through it did like the hammer Head thing, which I guess was free or Firewalker, that's what I meant. Yeah, and then play through Overlord, which I really liked, and Shadow Broker, which is all right. I think I think Overlord's better. If any thinks of your your rundown honors over here, I totally think start to finish that Overlord is more solid. I thought the vehicle stuff was well implemented there. The end of shadow Broker is probably they had a shadow Broker is amazing, better than the reveal of hey, I'm the shadow Broker was not. I like that heart. I didn't love it. I just hated that he was a giant monster. I can't he just be an information broker and that's everything they justify it. Well. I like that because I feel like it's that. I think that's the expectation. I feel like by making him a giant monster, like, yeah, it's the obvious thing from the gameplay perspective, but from the fictional perspective, you would expect the Shadow Broker to either be a spindly little fucking alien, some old dude, or like an AI. You wouldn't expect a big, crazy monster. So I kind of I think that they turned they turned that on its head a little bit there. But then you just get into the clichde boss fight of like having the giant thing charge you. Yeah, that's what that guy knows. Don't hate him, don't hate the play. You're not wrong. It's not the it's not the strongest part of that of that that deal. See, but we're not here to fucking argue about that stuff anymore. Jeff, Fuck you guys. Jeff. Jeff had his feelings about it, and that's fine. In short, I should have fought harder for Borderlands delC. If that's what y'all are calling him the best, then apparently standards for deals, that's what I call whatever anything. If you call it comparable anyway, tell me about tell me about World of Kathleen's as. Yeah. So then at one point was that it was that Christmas Day, Christmas Day, yea, priorities, Yeah, we need to make a world. Yeah, Vinnie and I made the world. We basically played through World of Kathleen's start to finish in one setting. Jesus, I didn't realize that was again that you could just play four hours, probably because I feel like I spent that much time in Kingdom and still that game lost that that thing is not a game. The first the first Kafling's game, it was just like this loose framework. Yeah, of like schematics, that's exactly what this is. There's a tech tree and you ascend it and then it's you win. Well, this this, from what I saw, seemed a lot more directed like it was. It is incredibly directed like it. You hit the button and bring up the tech tree and it says, all right, you need to build this. Here's the next thing you should build. So you can build the next three things exactly. And then there's a little Kathleen that I'll be like, you should build this for me. I'll give you the blueprint and then so then when you build everything, are you done? It's a rocking chair. All spoilers for the end of World. We showed the ending. Jesus Christ. Seriously, it's wrong with you people. The rocking Chair. Yeah, so yeah, you could keep playing and there's like achievements for build one hundred buildings, which is insane. Yeah, I mean like it's it's well made and well done, but there's no adversity in it at all, Like it really is this perfect, just like I have nothing to do today, so I'm gonna get online with a friend of mine and we're gonna build stuff. If I had known that there was absolutely zero payoff at the end of that game, I might not have sat there with you for four hours playing. Yeah. I mean I started it over the weekend and not even through the tutorial, like, oh, this is way too much like like Kingdom of Deathlinks, I'm no, I'm out, I'm out. Do we need sticks? We need sticks? Destination Shift, it's the journey, that's right, Well, the journey's not particularly great, like it's uh, you know, it's like nice that they named the first two brothers Bob and Doug and you're like, oh yeah, and all the I can be watching SCTV. There's a lot of Canadian yes language jokes in there. Yeah. Yeah, and Strange Brew is available on streaming for Netflix, so great, watch that twice. Do that instead max fonside ow back to back, and that's you know, in maximum side. I was going to be in Skyrim. So, but you know who's not in Skyrim is mel Blanc. So advantage a strange Brew. Good point. Strange Brew is better than the next elder scrolls game. Good point because his voice see the voice of the mouse in the bottle, he's a voice of their dad, their dad. Really, yeah, isn't it blank? I always thought it was Blanc. I don't want to I don't want to change if you're a piece of shit. I did a report on mel Blanc blank blank. Mel Blanc makes him sound like like a confused Yeah. I don't like that at all. I don't know who this mel Blanc is. Blanc only eats cream sauces. I guess that makes sense to dress that. The only time that you can call him mel Blanc is if you're speaking about peppolpe oral report? What kind oral oral report? It's like for ears? Okay? Row report about no blank? Ye? Would you have to say about him? I remember he hates carrots. Isn't that an ironic? And to him? So I had to dress up as him, and that's weird. I do voices I like, I don't know, it's a fact though he didn't like carrots spit him out. But yeah, but nothing sounded like carrots. He had to chew carots. It still fun fact, fun fact, and he spit him out and get a bucket. I played a lot more Tron than I ever wanted to, I think, Brad and I also played a lot more Tron than how much Tron did you play? I finished it once, okay, and two more times man played played No again, I'm just better at it than you because I reached that level more quickly. I got to my phil level fifty because I didn't get to level fifty until I had finished the game three times. No, that was the beauty of it is. I didn't need to get to level fifty to be done with it, so I don't. I don't get like this anymore. The achievement things kind of kind of passed. Yeah, there was something about something about the idea of rubbing Johnny's faces. I'm not really even rubbing his face. I didn't buy bother to tell him. It was no point did I say, hey, I bet I can get all the points in Tron before you can. But it was the secret motivator. It was the secret motivator of I'm gonna get all the points in Tron. It was your character secret. So how many do you have? No, all of them? Got all of it is s ranked Tron. I got all of them until until that first deal c comes out. No, the first he's out. I bought it. It came out broken. Oh yeah, and still doesn't seem to work for some people. So it's broken even for people who don't have it, because when you hit quick match, it'll try to match you into games with those maps even if you don't and it doesn't ad you custom match, you can you can choose end up doing that, and there was nobody playing. But I didn't have that problem because I had stopped playing by the time the deal well, you know, the later multiplayer seems pretty unbalanced to me, and that if you have yourself spect in the direction of the bomb disc, you pretty much kill anything and one hit when you're on a light cycle that's the bomb disc. That sounds good. It's like, whyam later tank later? Everything? It's only made a light I mean whatever, bombs aren't light Those bombs are bombs. Well, they're discs. No they're little black grenades that fly out around the light cycle for the when you're when you're on the light cycle. That's not how discs work, I know. I bought the d I bought the DLC and and those those levels are okay. The classic level that's made to look like old Tron is nice in that it has a break in the wall in one part nice you can go out of ok. I was shocked to see, uh that in in the film that the the light cycle course that they're on in that how much the like the number one light cycle course in the game looks exactly like that. I was surprised with just like the multiple layers and the the way the ramps were laid out. Oh yeah it actually it actually looks feels like pretty pretty closely modeled after that, which I wasn't expecting. Yeah, yeah, yeah for sure. But yeah, I don't know. I played a lot of that game. I found all the collectibles. I killed one hundred dudes on a light cycle, which again, like I said, was a lot easier than I thought I was gonna be. Tank seems harder just because you only get Tank. You know, you play through the single player three times, you will kill two hundred people at the tank. You can also just replay that's those seconds. But yeah, yeah, yeah, killing five hundred people with your regular disc ended up being the probably the one that I cut the closest, I guess, but the grindiest. Yeah, I don't know that game. You like Tron. I like Tron. I don't necessarily like the game, but yeah, I really like Tron. As it turns out, I identify with Tron in a really in a way I did not realize I should have realized. But all this neutron stuff maybe like remember like, oh wait, that's totally like this super formative thing. You had mentioned that to me before I had seen the movie, and but after you had kind of consumed all that stuff, and so I was thinking about that quite a bit and had had a similar realization of not just for my but so I started thinking, like, wow, so that happened for me, and I I know, I don't really like Tron, Yeah, Like, I know the Tron's pretty bad. I don't. I don't. I don't find the movie particularly entertainment. The first movie, the first movie, the first movie. I thought the New One was was a lot of fun, good ride, but uh, Uh. I started thinking about like why do why do people like, like why is there even folks who like Tron? What is it about Tron that has that has maintained it was it was one of the first things that really showed like computer. Well, I don't know, like it's I think it's because it's it's magic because it makes technology seem magic in a way that that technologically, if you go back to like nineteen eighty two and look at what technology was, it was magic. Yeah, because it's hard to remember stuff that you saw thirty years ago in very clear focus. But it also it makes just the idea of technology seem magic again, like if you if you look at what tech was doing, it like at this point it has become such a you know, commodified enumerated thing, like tech is just you know, fucking everyone has it. It is it has been democratic democratized to the point that there isn't really anything special about it. It's just here's a thing, and then use that to do whatever. So like, to to bring this level of there's magical fucking people writing light cycles around inside your computer, like to be able to have that notion is you know, is a a and to have all of the like the aesthetics of technology. Everything's super clean and and glowing and shit like that. But then to have the logic of just you know, we can do whatever the fuck we want. That's a really good clear plastic yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, gets lots of translucencies. Yeah. Yeah, it's magic. That's why it's awesome. Any other games, Jeffrey, I played a lot of Borderlands. No, no, this not last Christmas break this Christmas. Yeah. So after getting all those achievements in tron I kind of got a taste for it again. I'm like, well, you know, there's all this the worst parts of Borderlands I have left, so I should probably just go get those out of the ways. That Mad Moxie. Yeah, so I went and played split screen Mad Moxie. For what ended up. I had already done one of the larger arenas. I had to do the other two. Yeah, that it probably be in about six hours of me killing level twelve monsters, never in danger of dying. But it's like the only way to get it done because playing it at level is like kind of fucked. Did you have to like look at the screen really? Uh yeah, yeah, no, because it's in the melee rounds. If the if the melee guys get it close to you, they can actually still do meaningful damage. And the last thing you want to have happened is fuck up. And who's after investing that much time into it? Like, uh, so I got through that stuff, and then I had a bunch of collectible stuff from clap traps New Robot Revolution left to do, and those were made by people that hate people that like achievements more so than the Mad Moxi stuff. Yeah, way more so like Mad Moxie. You know, it's like whatever, it makes sense to give you an achievement at the end of finishing a thing. Uh, this is just it's just that the things are Yeah, whereas this they created about three years, three or four achievements I guess that are uh strictly based on you collecting stuff that randomly drops out of clap traps when you kill them, and almost all of them are super rare to the point where of complete absurdity, Like it seems broken. So I needed like twenty five oil cans and uh, five pairs of panties and five it was it like seven fish in a bad egg and fifteen pizzas glasses or something. Yeah, I'd already gotten that one. That one turned up over the course of regularly playing it. Pizza flies out of these clap traps, but only like every thousandth one or something. So some people went and kind of farm this zone full of crap trap clap traps over you like that twenty eleven. They go and do that over and over again. But if you go to the end of the game, if you go to the final boss from that DLC, that thing actually spits out the kamikaze clap traps, and there's a spot in the level where if you shoot all the turrets off the big thing that's fighting you, you can hide and just let it go for about eight hours, and all these clap traps will eventually explode on their own and they can't get to you, so you're not in any danger. And then you can just go around and pick up all the stuff that comes out of them when they blew up. So that was the Is there a limit for that or is it just sort of like you're willing to You're willing to sit there and leave your your your machine running. But then someone said, well I did it all in two hours by just actively chasing after the thing that spits out clap traps and shooting the claptraps as they come out. It's not that hard. Only took two hours. It's like great, I have two hours. Two hours will seem like kay compared to this mad moxie bullshit. Yes. So I went and did that for three hours and got no, got nothing. I mean I got like four pizzas and a bunch of pairs of panties and a bunch of fish, which the achievement is get like panties, fish and pizza. Sure, I have the panties and fish covered at no point, And nowhere in the game does it tell you how many of these things you have. By the way, so I did not get the twenty five cans of oil. I don't know how many cans of oil I have. I did not get enough pizza, and I eventually killed the boss by chasing it around and shooting the clap traps that were coming out of it. I thought you had to shoot it in its special spot, but apparently it does damage just getting it anywhere. And the whole thing was a wash. And that's that's why Borderland the only people that so basically like like the only and on top of that, when they first released that stuff, there was a big bug that would prevent you from getting the achievements unless you did it all into specific order. So I feel really sorry for the people that were like doing this originally and like getting all the stuff and going like so, uh, yeah, it was made by people that hate people Texans, and anyone that has all the points in Borderlands either hacked it and cheated or they're just fucking massocusts. Man, did you hit the level cab? No? No, no, I'm still not even levels. Yeah, I'm like sixties eight or something, so it's not like that that far off. But after doing that, I was not in the mood to play anymore of of that stuff or anything or anything. So that was pretty much yeah, fantastic, that's any Caravella. Hey, I want to hear about your games. Games you've been playing lately? Man, I almost played more blah, but I you know, like level two, I see. I would actually enjoy it jumping into someone else's game and and ruining it for them by being way over leveled. For it's the problem though, it would actually be well, I know Drew is trying to get the mad mox he achievements as well. He was talking about doing the split you gotta do a split screen, like that wouldn't be something we will be able to do do profile kind of. Yeah. Yeah, you just get like a level I have a have a level six character on another pro profile or something. Now you can just die all he wants. It doesn't actually matter, and you just have to play on a half screen, which sucks because they never resize the UI for the like, so when you pause it to change weapons or anything like that, you can't see the edges of that menu gets cut off in the split screen. Sweet It's like really poorly implemented. They never expected anyone would actually play that game in split screen, probably not, so considerations didn't get made. We played some mad moxis together, but we played like the non the non fucking crazy ones, Like there's the five round ones and there's twenty round ones. Yeah that's uh, it's one of the fives. And I was like, okay, insanity, this is I can't even doing enough of that. There's like I can't even fucking imagine. Yeah, and I can't even fathom And you don't get any experience, Like you get nothing out of doing it. Yes, like that's the it is a complete zero sum experience. You'll get money or guns or yeah, you get guns, but they're not at my level. Yeah, they're all like level two guns. Even when we were playing and it was like at my level, Yeah it was. I don't think it was anything that I really wanted or needed. It was like, oh, cool, more stuff to sell when you when you finish the clap trap dlc uh, this room opens up that it just has like fifteen chests in it. You can just reload and open those chests over and over again. So now that I'm like level sixty eight, it's all like these level sixty eight gear that I'm selling for like seven million million credits. So you beat the game, which I need none, you're done. Yeah you didn't. Just you didn't just finish it. You beat him, but no, you're not done yet. I wonder, yeah, I wonder if I might go back and do that crap again. I might go back and make another run of collecting all that stupid ship any caravella what instead of playing Borderlines? So I dropped in the well alright, let me well more cities xcel. No, that gets fun? Uh, Dead Rising two. I put back what I did and uh, and I loot it up my save and tried to beat that chef a couple of times, and then realized that like I thought, I could beat him real fast, which he's he's the guy with the white apron. He fakes food, he eats these like stations where he gets his health back. It's the big thing. So like my problem was I had a ticker going down on a main mission, and like the ticker on the chefferd they were about at the same thing. And I thought like, all right, I see when I hit him with the lightsabers, health goes down real fast, and I need to make a run where I beat the chef and I could quickly stop the dudes from whatever they were drilling into the other casinos or whatever they was stealing the market. Yeah, And I couldn't do it, And eventually I just started the game over us I forget nineteen or eighteen something something like there. Uh, And then I started the game over and I played like another hour and a half and and just was like, oh man, I think I'm done again for a bit. I know, but I'm actually playing this time through. I'm like, fuck, it all people. I'm bringing as many survivors with me. If they die, I don't care. I'm just gonna play through and get to the end of the story in this game. And if I want to play through it again, try and get everyone. Yeah, and beat that fucking chef. I'll do it again some other time. But I just want to see what happens at the end of this because I just want to play Case West. That's it. I just want to make it through to play Case West. I know that feeling. I have Case West sitting there waiting, and I'm like, I really want to play this because this is the Dead Rising experience I want. But I'm gonna have to put up with all of Dead Rising two. I know, but you kind of already saw the ending when you watched Case West, so it's kind but I haven't gotten there yet. Is is the but is the consensus? Basically, just like psychos are what make Dead Rising for me? Yeah, I think I like that game of anyone in this room by far. You like the seconds I know the game even I hate the psychos, like I still hate the load times on three sixty and I think on the PC load times like like three seconds maybe it really really kind of annoys me that whole like bringing people back to that air duct, loading to get into the air duct and then loading to get right back out just makes me real bored. Yeah, I made the command decision to not play Case West because I did not like Case zero or Dead Rising two. Wait, he will be pulled to get two games, but I figured it out. Have you have you read about Case West or like, did you watch The Quick Look or anything? Check this out. You don't have to escort survivors anymore. That's that's not the thing that save them, and they're just done, like that's that's cool, but that's that's not the psychopath. Honestly, Honestly, I am pretty I'm actually kind of I seen the Quick Look. I'm kind of cool on on Case West as well. Yeah, it's okay, just because the setting is not nearly as interesting to its correct Like the little dusty town from Cases Here I thought was fantastic, gave it a really unique feel, and then you know, back in the fortunate City is just bananas. So that's great in its own way, I guess, But like warehouses and yeah, just like the most fucking nondescript just beige boxes that you're inside up there's a couple like if you climb up to the third floor, there's like a little tiki lounge, which is kind of random, yea, but yeah, for the most part, it's just like totally institutional. Yeah. So, like all the things that I had that had turned me off from it, that made me put Dead Rising two on the Shelf originally just started literally came back in this weird flood of emotion that are like, God, I fucking hate the god you can why st fews And that's put a goddamn storeroom there, and put the weapons I can make in a storeroom. So I'm not going to carry around a newspaper forgot you know what I'm done. So if you go back to it, the thing I've heard recommended is going too every psychopath fight with like three or four survivors, all with salt rifles because they don't run out of ammo, right, and they'll just sit there and wail on them until they're dead. Or the thing I did was just go on YouTube and look at the like cheap way to beat each one of them. I looked and there were things that I just I didn't want to spend the time doing like go find the knife gloves and it's like, oh, we're just feel like going to find the knife. It's kind of the pain, uh and making the items. It's just I thought I would come back to it renewed, with renewed vigor, and it was like, I don't want to. I just want to make the spiked baseball back because that is what's near this room every time I walk by a baseball bat and I'm boxing nails, and I don't want to carry around, like the benefit isn't worth the trouble flash I don't. I'm gonna hunt. I'm gonna look for a flashlight and if I have fund, I'll keep I'll try and keep it in my limited inventory. But like I know, I played Ilo milololo. Cool. If we if we reached consensus on the pronunciation Milo's what's that's what I of people say el milo really, But I don't know why. I don't know. I think I don't think I heard anyone say I had. I don't think I had heard anyone say it out loud when I that it was I'm Milo and otis I'm firmly in the Ilo camp. I'm just I mean Milo, Well, those are their names, Ilo and Milo, those characters, but it could be Milo. I mean Milo is a pronunciation of that name that is, yeah, yeah, that's that's acceptable. The game Swedish, so that they have some I don't know, Well, we're in fucking America, God damn it, so we're gonna call it Islo Milo. Similarly, for everyone that that decided to try and correct me for my pronunciation of wrecketeer, I did that based on what the game says. The game says it's pronounced recketeer. I don't care if it's a French root or some bulls, yet recketeer listens. I mean, it's it's we're in America. We call Alo Malo by its rifle name. There ain't no guns in it, so fuck that ship if no, Like, the game very explicitly kind of kind of tells you how you should be pronouncing that name by comparing it to racketeer, and plenty of people chimed in to say that it's like resset because it's a French word, and they're like, well, maybe the case, but the game told me to say it this way, so I don't feel bad about that. You played the blo Milo I did in that game. I reached a point in that game though, whether puzzles started getting hard, and then I was like, all right, I'm trying to have a relaxing bracker trying to have fun. Should have just started over on World of Keflen. There's nothing in your way, nothing in your way at all. I've never seen anything in it that's like absolutely insurmountable. But you have to think pretty damn or you can't really look at stuff from every angle and can reach away. You're like, You're like, I just don't want to make my brain serious effect, and like you started having to play of the game from that total zoomed out view and just spend the camera a lot, and well can I get to that side from here? What's Rascals like? And then I played You're like, oh, well this is very straightforward. Yeah, and Rascals was. I had finished that in one sitting and just went like just right through because you can. You can kind of power through that really quickly. Yeah, it's not very long at all, but I feel like they had played through like the first World of Rascals and kind of had my fill of it. Yeah, it doesn't doesn't change it up too much, it just gets harder, basically. Yeah, but they do have a decent amount of variety. I feel surprising, I would say, surprising, more more than I would have anticipated for they have. But I see your point. There are variations though. Yeah, I'm a kind of common theme, but you know, the humor and it's really weird. I can never tell if I was not finding it funny or funding and funny. It never reached to consenting. If nothing else, it's just weird. Yeah, like once in a while, I don't know, Uh, there are flashes. Usually it's just sort of like, oh, these are just corny puns, or but sometimes the corny puns hit perfectly. Yeah, that's as That was actually an excellent piece of word play, right comedy right there? That did you can make it through to the end. I only made it through the second I finished the second world and then stop playing. Okay, some stuff at the very end. It was pretty funny. So, uh, it's an odd game. It's an odd game. It's really strange. I became infuriated with it mostly because I was trying to get everything as I went, including all those like little red level challenges. Dude, some of the red ones are tough. There's one there's one on level one where there's like a twenty coin door that you have to pop through. It restricts you unless you have twenty of those coins. They're one on behind that there's like a relay raised thing that was just like are baffling. It's one of the game. Like at some point the game thinks that it's super meat Boy, but the controls are not like loose and something like you know, me Boy has that like combination loose precision kind of you know, you know what I mean. Like it's kind of both way is right, like it feels, but also there's like some gift to everything like this game does not have that. Well this like the like just just simple things like jumping in this game, like it's it's very locked. There's there's there's air control, it's it is simply jumps are of this high like meat Boys sort of like if you tap it you can get a little hot but this you know, or you can hold it, you can get a really you know, long jump, and then you can get some air control like none of that exists and just jump in like a very set arc like when you jump out of water, like the direction that you're going when you come out is the way you're going. Yeah. Yeah, so some of those things are just so don't play the bonus levels if you want to like that game. I did. I did wind up playing for a bit and got a lot of those coins, but I didn't I think I might be done now on that. Uh. Surprisingly, I thought I wasn't gonna like it. We did that quick look, and then I went back to it and enjoyed playing it more than I enjoyed the multiplayer when we did the quick look was actually really good and like you know, like four way split screen like in sixty four, kind of yelling at each other sort ofly. And uh then I spent a lot of time playing Tetris. Yeah, you got your taste for Tetris. So what happened? That's cool? Uh So you did a quick look of Tetris for PlayStation Network last week. What's Tetris? Tetris? It's it's it's the Russian mind Bender like doctor mind Bender. Man, Actually it's Greg, that guy's murderous in the ring. Uh So, I you know, I asked my wife, like anyone has finally brought Tetris to the play to the PlayStation three your friends at Electronic Arts, all right, plans versus Tetris. It's the game just public domain at this point Tetris No. Is this like a PlayStation or is this a PSP mini? No ten dollar PSN game for Tetris. That's why I imagine it has like full multiplayer. It's a good version. It's actually it's actually not bad, like as far as as versions of TETRISCO. It's got some some spin forever. Yeah, that's that is the is the Tetris of the current Tetris. I don't know if it's forever. I they would lock me in after for a while, but it doesn't seem as bad. But it's been spine the tea spins. Uh. I didn't try and abuse it, but I mean that's become such an integral part of I mean, they read modern Tetris play, they number you on those like you did five tea spin. I have never ever done a tea spin. Did you watch that master replay? Was crazy? That's not even and that's not even the craziest Tetris play I've ever seen. It's pretty crazy. They have a shared or it's just a kind of coop version mode in there where uh, Ryan would be on the right side of screen, I'd be on the left and in the center. It's probably about a five block say four block shared zone, and like you can only make lines disappear of all the way across, right, Yeah, no that there have been games that have done that before. So that is just like, man, you want to test the patience of your friends, what the fuck is wrong with you? Well, it's funny because it immediately becomes apparent how like different people play Tetris, Like everyone has a way that they kind of try and build up the alley and it's like, well, this is how I wanted to set my stuff up, and this is what I like. Whenever I get one of these pieces, I tend to do one of these three things with it. So I was played with my wife for a while and it was it was really interesting. But that was and I was about to divorce you. And from the quick look, it's it's really interesting. It is a is an interesting version of that game in a mode to play. And so I played a lot of Tetris and it was great. I didn't played Tetris in a long time. I was happy. I got to play I don't know, for ten dollars. The kind of thing though that stuck with me was how goddamn along it took me to get that copy of Tetris off of the PlayStation Network that was just over the weekend, right, Yeah, But I just mean in terms of like trying to buy something from the PlayStation network was an exercise and patience for me, just like and I'd lost my credit card information, which I don't know, weird how I had to try to enter a bunch of stuff in and then go through like seven menus and it just I don't know, I'm fed up up. Hey man, at least it's not the Wheelie Shop. You have to enter everything every time. What's going on? That's for your safety. I mean, I have no problem with like PlayStation Store because they have my shit. Yeah, and I'm on PlayStation Plus so which you still have to do like fifteen like menu presses to get it and then like they you know what. In some ways, I think it works way better than Xbox Live Marketplace, particularly if you want to buy more than one thing, oh and you added to a cart, because you can do a cart and you can just buy everything at once and then you can say download all and then it just starts a hue to download that stuff instead of like that, I don't go buy this thing and then start the download, all right, go over this other thing and start the active downloads on the Xbox would download everything in a row anyway. Sure, But it's just it's the having to go through that. It's it's it's more button presses if you want to buy multiple things. But I don't know, you're probably right. I think I'm just doing like I think the three sixty does it a little more elegantly because you don't you never feel like you're going into a store like an online browser. It's just like this is in the interface as you can still never find where anything is on Microsoft either, but like like going into the store and a cart and all that stuff seems like a little shoehorned in. I don't know, I think the PlayStation Store has a way more sensible interface overall. It can it's still easy to be like, how come I just show me these things? Why won't you just show me PS three games? And not like games or whatever. There's all these weird like kind of like a strangely named category. It's like they have like the newest releases, but they don't just show you everything. It's like, okay, then from here you can choose if you want the newest of these releases are like, just show me everything. And then well I ended up having to because I was trying to buy a PSP game that was not not a recent release. It was like a month or something old. Yeah, I end up buying zet I Hero Project was it undying Hero versus Evil Death, Dark Evil Dead dark Man Evil Death dark Man forgot whatever? ZHP? Yeah, HP, And that had that process of course started with the now I need to update my firmware so and oh wait, the battery's dead on this thing. So I got the full compliment of I got to charge this up so I can update the firmware, so you can access the store. So you turn on the PSP and then first you have to set the date because it's dead for so long that it lost the date. Yeah, and then which I did this I think on the first So actually the date was already right, it was great. I just had to set the year. Uh. So then from there you try and go into or you do an update. From there, I go to the store says you need a firmware update. I was like, okay, great, down the update page and then it says you don't have enough battery. Uh so then if you get you get juiced up, patched reboot. Get into the store. In the store, search for the game, right, find the game. Does the does the PlayStation store for for PSP? It only shows PSP capable content? Yeah? Hey, Will Smith? All right, what's up with Smith? I'm looking for the jerky. What jerky? It's in the kitchen. It's in the kitchen. It's also gone. I saw I saw an empty bag of a jerky. Sorry, all right, well we won't cut that test dot com. Will Smith looking for just looking for the jerky, for the jerky. No jerky in here unless you're talking about Jerky Boys, Hey, chisel chests, which we are, finny. How many Jerky Boys CDs? Do you own? Two tapes? Did you own cassette tapes? Just just two tapes? Two cassette tapes. Never? I never saw the movie, but I own Jerky Boys two on CD. Bradley No, no, no, Crank Kank, Crank calls for you. How's the latest? Large Mont long long Mont, Postion Castle, long Mont Posty Castle. It makes those jerky boys shit look like garbage. Longmont Postion Castle eight is fantastic, good to know, and he's doing it over Skype now, so the audio quality is way better. It's so much crisper, Yes, fantastic, But for that which is on the internet. People still making crank calls, Yeah, but like high concepts like they've gone. It's it's no longer just like theater, like bad characters. Thats just crank calls. It's just exacting for things that don't exist, that clearly don't exist. It's not even like I need to look and see, like like they can tell that it's a crank call immediately they stay on with him and invariably end up threatening his life up getting all of them all wist end up with just threats of violence. I always wondered what the over kind of like under on that over under, But like the cut rate on some of that stuff is like how many do you have to do to get I expect that it's got to be a large, large, very high, very high percentage that you keep. And also the guy is just really good, especially in these newer ones. It's really good at sounding as stoned as possible his crap. Just like if that guy called me and just had and sounded that high on the phone, I'd be like, man, I got it. I can't even talk. If I can't even speak to you, you were you were not gonna be able to understand any English that comes out of this telephone crank calls? Yeah, what were we talking about before? So I eventually did. Then I had to download that, I had to install. I really like to know what it is with the PSP and PlayStation three that, like, these install processes for these downloaded games just seems to take forever, Like what is it? And like and what does it happen? Why surface that to the user? It's it's the question included as part of the percentage bars understanding, like like what why do I care that? Like, oh I have this? Not install? Just install it. I'm not gonna I really don't. I just I don't understand why it's there? What does it prompt you? Why doesn't it just do it? Sometimes? Sometimes it sometimes it doesn't as well. If you if you ever do downloading and background, it doesn't it just downloads it down. Yeah, if you download and install and then let it sit, it installs, it doesn't unpack and then install isn't there like yeah, it has to an archec check. Yeah, then has to extract all the files out of the seven z files and then it has to unzoo it rasor nineteen eleven. H A, what were we talking about? How dumb things are as HP is? Al right, I don't know, like a lot of people people are talking it up. Yeah, people were definitely talking it up. What is it? The the it's like a dungeon crawley kind of RPG if you like it is perhaps rogue, like, uh, I don't know that. I didn't play enough it to know if the dungeons are randomized. But it's a game where if you die, it's like that's cool, you just start over. But that's what you wanted you because you'll be more powerful next time. Rising god a sort of. I didn't die, so I don't know exactly how it works min souls kind of Yeah, maybe something like that. But uh yeah, So it's this isometric RPG and the sprites the characters look really blurry, and it's all about the direction in which you are facing and stuff like that. So it's like you need to be facing the right direction and then attack in that direction. If the guy is standing right there and you get a turn, they get a turn. That whole thing that kind of rogue like style, but not first person. No, not first person. The story is in crazy this that's pretty yeah, and I like that. It's about It's about a character named super Baby, and you need to try to you're you're you start at the game you are not undying hero, but undying Hero gets hit by a car and dies and then gives the helmet to you. And then and he's on his way to the final boss fight. He's like running and gets it by a car, and you have to show up to the final boss fight loss fight, and you immediately die and you get teleported to where heroes trained to be better heroes. Is a nip on eachy joint. Yeah okay, yeah figured yep, Sackaman dying hero. I didn't get teleported to the place. He is dead. He is really dead dead, and he gave the helmet to you, so he's actually video game dead. He becomes like your guardian angel, kind of watching over you, hanging out, arguing with the woman who runs the area. The hero training stuff, so the whole game. Is you training up to win this boss fight that you lose at the beginning of the game, And it cut back at one point to just show super Baby just putting up all these shields to not die every time the final boss attacked it, and you have to get back before super Baby dies otherwise the world will end. Do you have to run like this serpent road or something to get back and he's got to go through all these floors of dungeons and train. Basically, it's all training before the next episode. Like they kind of tied into weird kind of TV tropes in a couple of spots, but neat ideas, really neat ideas. But the way it played, like to cast spells, you have to arm the spell first, and then once you're facing in the right direction, you kind of have to go back into the menu. Like even it's just like a lot of stuff just requires you to go back into a menu instead of just being mapped really a button presses. It feels like it all could have been streamlined a lot PSP only. Yeah, yeah, it's been anything other than split second Tetris Split's second what yeah, all right, yeah, came in my game. F Oh, had you not played at it at all before. What do you think that's cool? It's fun. I think I might got bored of it. Yeah yeah, you kind of see everything once and go all right, I'm not sure if I'm playing it the right way, which yeah, the draft and then drive fast. Uh, like I'm finishing this season before moving on, finishing all the races in a season before moving on to the next season, So I might am burning myself out. Yeah, I mean I should just move on to see the news. Just whenever something new unlocks, you should go to the news stuff because because there's only there's you know, there's a finite number of like tracks and features because basically it's the little stunt features that you care about. Course changes, Yeah yeah, course changes and even some of the smaller stuff. You know, it doesn't all have to be the giant course changes, but those are those are set pieces. Those are the things that make it super super crazy. So I was like, I'm gonna gold medal every track before moving on. Yeah, that game did not. That game does not age like one. It does. It's just yeah, yeah, that first impression that game makes that I think is it's just cool, fucking thrilling, I'm still I'll play some more of it, but uh yeah, I think I'm ready to move on. That was about it. Uh. I like the Steam Store. I'll say, maybe it's just because it's on the PC, but I find it very easy to purchase stuff from the Steam. So did you end up buying a lot of stuff? I did? Set awesome? Yeah, how is it? I know he says it's sim City. Man, you get fucked on the traffic. It's right, Yeah, that is the never really made one of those. Well, it's just like a regular old city. We didn't make it on the Moon. We didn't then even like the last one they made was it wasn't exactly so you know, it's too crazy. Do you want to build residential zones and commercial zones? I just want sim City two thousand. I'm actually just gonna go install sim City was two thousand? Was it five? Last? And Skirk? Do they make a five? Five? Was the last one? Two thousand and then there was four? One have like a weird subtitle? No, I don't know if there was a five. I think four him in the last one. If only there was some kind of website we could check. I I original sim City, I want nothing past that. I don't even want to two k water water pipes are two water water. I can't my mind can't fucking deal with subterranean. I eventually Systems was able to deal with it. But also just yeah, that's that's the least fun part of that entire I don't like. I don't like the difference in train I like that. It's just like a residential zone is this many? A commercial zone? Is this many? Always? Who? Like? I can just drag this box out and make it go forever than you want, like sex out because you get free form. I could just click what he's trying to get. Some splines reciculated over micro Speaking of games that I actually played but didn't tell you I played, I fingured that's why I decided to go back to the table. I knew of this would happened. Microbot. What do you think of Microbot? I don't like it. Yeah, it's okay, it's you know, I think it looks kind of gross, Like I don't. I don't something about this swirly blood out of syrene stuff. I think it looks I think it looks great. It really grosses me out, Like I found myself a little uneasy. But once you get out of the first world. You guys played past the first World. Oh, I almost made it to the end. It doesn't look like body at all anymore. All of a sudden, it's like, now you're in this crystalline cave, Like where what part of the fucking body is this? Boogers cold heart? Yeah, so that that stuff. I thought it was all weird, and also it's just it's a really average I'm shter. I just don't that's not a good idea. Oh yeah, you want. I was basically having to push him along because he couldn't. I was a giant spine ball. If you put all uh rotors on your ship, it goes pretty fast. I put right into the enemies, well one of them, one of the one of the types of propulsion devices actually does damage when it hits you. Can you can theoretically do that, I guess. Yeah, I don't know. I didn't like Crowbot. I didn't had much care for that game, but my crew Bot. Yeah. So on the Steam sale, I bought Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for the PC, which if you like racing games that run at sixty frames per second PC version, you should get the PC version of that and buy a better computer because mine can usually do it at ten eighty but occasionally bogs down. So also the you really miss the whole unified friends network thing when you are faced with a game that is entirely driven by you having friends and you don't have any friends. I was gonna ask what friends list does that pull for over one, like you have to build a specific game, like it doesn't even pull like I had friends in Burnout Paradise. It did not yank from that. It didn't name like some e thing. I mean, it's the same account I used for Burnout, but it doesn't pull any kind of is it? So how do you how do you actually add friends? Like, well, you have a lot of followers on Twitter and say here is my name on the PC for speed yeah, and uh, and then add them all manually. In this I had to dig to find the menu to add friends, like the whole thing that aspect of the game I thought was done incredibly poorly for And also like they you could tell that at some point no one cares about the PC version of that game because it has the same news section as the console version. But all those news updates just say like, hey, get it in the in game store. You're like, wait what in game store? Go go to into game store and get it. But there is no end game stars where the stuff is. There's no guys hot sell guys. There's no endgame store. All the cool kids are coming to the end game Store, join us. How do I how do I get to just click on the end game Store? There's no, that's not here. One point one update available now from the endgame Store. That's not happening. I hit the thing, it doesn't go. That's a that's pretty do you just have to like, do you even is there anything? The DLC does not exist for PC. Oh great, So it's another one of those situations. It is an ear account span all their platform, Like because I couldn't connect on the Tetris side, I had to make a new account or like wouldn't read mine. It might just be a different email address your stuff. Yeah, you might have to tie your PSM name to it. Yeah maybe I don't know. You know, I think I went through all that bullshit a while ago, so I'm I'm pretty well wired up on on my EA games now. I had to go through it all over again when I changed all my names. It's still super fucking stupid. Damn. It's still like just the EA like separate off thing just brings nothing to the user experience. I don't even know what they get out of it, like marketing data, they get email addresses, yeah, yeah, it's just it's and some of them leave the can we market to you box checked, so they get that stuff. I just feel like, yeah, the the detriment that it has towards the user experience is especially in Tetris, if you don't want to do it. Oh, it constantly says like every every game, literally every single time you want to play a game of Tetris online or off, every time you want to restart and do all that stuff, it's like, hey, do you want to sign up for the connecting? Every single time? And if you don't, there are no leaderboards, no, nothing like. All that stuff is handled like, well, that's that's why they that's why when they shut servers down, it's a big deal. You know. It's like all that stuff is supposed to be unified, Like you don't you never hear about other companies that like, ooh, we're shutting down our servers because all of them just use the basic Microsoft infrastructure or you know, it's kind of the or at least you never hear about is getting shut down on on the three sixty p S three. Sometimes it does occur, but but for the most part, yeah, because it's all just the same basic crap like leaderboards and all that stuff kind of comes with it when you make those kinds of games. And you know, the only reason that EA is able to shut all their stuff off is because they want you to buy their next game, So they built all this stuff specifically so they could do that. Specifically, they can collect your EMIL address and shut you out of a game. Like doesn't there's no user benefit to any of that stuff. I just wanted to play some Tetris and see how everybody else is doing. The one benefit with the way you need for Speed ends up working out is that every single person you add plays need for Speed hot Pursuit, So you know, you at least have like a full ass list like I. You know, like now that I've gone and added all these people, Like those leaderboards are crazy because it's like sixty people on it or something. It's like, Wow, they're really into it, actively planning. Hey, well, yeah, I guess. I don't know. I didn't play. I did not necessarily play a ton of it. Vide caravella. That's it. That's it. That's count me out, that's it. That's it. Check please Jenny, it was Jenny. I don't know. Yeh, cash me out, Jenny Shoemaker. What's going on? Is he talking? I don't respond that's what he wants, I'm not. Yeah, I don't know who he's talking to. See my name, Brad? Hmm? What's going on? How's it going's going? Do you play any games lately? I'll see you played some tront Evolution and we've got anything to add to that? Did did you finish it? Also? I did finish it over the weekend. Yeah. I don't really ever want a man. I hate to say it. If you if you finish it, I don't ever want to play it again. I'm sorry. If you finish it two more times, it's better. He tried. He tried to do this in the car, but not that much better. But it's so I came to a weird realization that, like they could have been a lot better about teaching you how to play that game. Yes, with and and like the stuff in the way the combat work, like the counters are not super clearly explained. Maybe the importance of countering. Yeah, Well, the thing is the way I played it the first two times I played it. Well, keep in mind that's a total of four times. Yeah, because I played it once for review purposes, and then three on retail after the review was up, just to just for this achievement porshit, which I'm glad I don't do that much anymore, cheasing the achieve It was kind of nice to do it again. Yeah, it felt like old times. Yeah, but by the end I was like, man, fuck this, I still you know, I don't. I never unless it's like, Okay, this is something I can do over the course or with minimal extra effort, I don't. I don't cheasee him like I was specifically driven in this case. It's the same reason I have all the points in full auto, because there was there was someone that I could put the screws to, whether it was in my head or otherwise. Competition they were not aware of. With full auto, the competition was very much Yeah, no, that was full blown. That was the dumbest That may be the dumbest moment in achievement. History is obsessively playing full auto well whatever. I played a whole shitload of Falado and I don't have the full thousands, so that's even worse. Well, I only don't have them because of the multiplayer ones, which are I'll help you with the Devil. I don't think I have a copy of Falado. Oh well so, uh so. The thing with Tron is that the the disc attacks, the secondary attacks, yes, triangle button and stuff. You really just are supposed to use that song. Yeah, you know, they roll out the Yeah. The last three chapters it was just bomb disc bomb disc constantly, the weird secrets. It ends up actually being v disc heavy disc. Like they tell you about these weaknesses for these enemies, but those are largely inaccurate or in some cases, like with the the guys that need to be hit with a statist disc first, you just hit him with that first and then hit him with one heavy disc and they're dead. So when you're playing it that way and mowing through those guys, it starts to become a little more pleasant. And when you get the secondary, like the the auxiliary stasis and you can turn invisible like I love that. Stuff was kind of fun, but yeah, like they do such a poor job of surfacing kind of any of the magic of that combat system, of which there is not much that. Yeah. Well, I mean the game is just like like openly infuriating the first time you get into Yeah. Absolutely, But I mean, I don't know. I don't know if you remember me playing it, like right before Thanksgiving when I was playing it here in the office when I was starting to work on the review. But I was like controller throwing, like f this game, Like, oh my god, what the hell? How would they make a game like this? Like it was like that, well, it's it's weird because it's it's just it's it's crazy tough right out the gate, and you're like, why is this so hard? Yeah, Like they go through like a sizeable tutorial sequence that says like, here's how to block and here's how to counter, and these guys are susceptible to counters and this is susceptible to this, and you know, they take you through all this stuff, but then that stuff never works quite right. You feel still just feel like you're just getting your ass whipped. Yeah, for no good reason. Yeah, I feel like I understand I'm not getting any better at this game and so on and so forth. But as I started to level up more and more, I think maybe they expected players to be enjoying the multiplayer, like copious amounts of that in between single player sessions, so they would be higher level, which mitigates a lot of that stuff. Once again, about level thirty, Uh, the combat becomes very easy in the single player, like I was playing through, Like after you beat it on hard, you unlock insane. Yeah, which is only really hard when you're when you're that high level. It's only really hard when you're in the tanks. The tank sequences were, uh, insane. They earned the name, earned the name in in those specific spots. Yeah, that game, you know, it just you know, like a lot of the design choices just seemed really questionable with with the way the combat works, and and like I said, the multiplayer stuff seems uh yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's just because I was you know, but even even planning as players that were also at the maximum level, like the whole thing in the multiplayer is I'm going to ride around this light cycle and drop bombs when I'm near guys and kill them. Brad, did you play anything that you liked I just I just learned an important lesson SAT. Never bring up tron evolution, even in jest, because it will get discussed. That will never happen again. Yeah, it's just such a weird game. And and I spent so much, so much fun time again, Well again, you brought it up. I even I gave you the departure point. I said, did you do anything else, Brad, like Candymans anything else? Brett? Yeah, I played, I played Rascals, played Island. All that stuff has been discussed. I played some Dead Space too. M started to talk a little bit about on that. I could talk a little bit. Can you talk about the first two? Retty and limited in what I can say? Tell me everything I know. I got a list of everything about it because I guess, I guess they were kind enough to mail out an entire list of like all the plots. Don't talk about this. It's like, don't mention, don't mention plot points, don't spoil the game and the review right, but like all of these very here's the listening like very it might be the most explicit list of plot points spoilers I've ever seen head bread out along with the review package. It would have been a real bummer because I know names of characters and what they do and who you fight and all this, like all this stuff is on this list. Where where the twists come from? That's a bummer because the way it opens, especially if you didn't play that kind of not so great XPLA game they put out comic thing, the motion comic plus mini games. Yeah, because that actually dovetails right into this game. Like the last moment of that, yeah, is basically the first moment of this. So you are Isaac though, right, Yeah, you are? You are? You can't mention that, but you know, actually I don't know. I don't think I can talk too much about That's right. I want to ask you. Is there space? Yeah? Is it dead? It's it's pretty dead. Are their necromorphs? Is it the second one? Shoot their arms, legs and heads off? Yeah? Did they turn it into Call of Duty? No? I need to go back, and I need to go back and throw the first game is. But yeah, I think I think it was one of the twists. Is Call of Duty? No Metal? I think it plays pretty much exactly the same. Do you stomp? Do you stop? The definitely stomp? It is allowed as shit. I live right underneath my landlord, and I was starting to worry that I was going to get phone call or something because stomping like the base just like the levels, the mix or whatever on the stomping is insane. It's ridiculous, right, does he does he? Does he do that? Let's do the like death. So here here's the weird thing. Uh. I don't know if this is sort of a placebo effect or something, but so Isaac is like an unmasked character in this you know, like you see his face, like he has a dialogue. You know, the first game, he was always in this suit. He was a silent protagonist. Maybe they just went and hired the same guy who did all the like grunts and gasps and stuff. But I feel like the like the tone of the guy's voice, you can totally hear him like making all these like running sounds into an inner tube like he did in the first game, you know what I mean. So you guys didn't play the game, you don't really what I'm talking. I know, Vinny, Vinny is very intimately aware with like the way this guy goes like, oh, let's just like yeah, like the gasping like it always sounds like it's in this weird like sort of mask. So so he is masked again. Though, well, it's well, I remember if I can talk about talk about him later, like two chapters we can talk specifically about yeah, but that two and three or something. I think, what what you know whatever? Whatever? Uh, they do a little bit with him out of the suit, and then you're like right back in the suit. So it's like, all right, I guess it's cool that you did that, but now it's just Deadspace. Aly, I'm curious to ask you more stuff, but I don't think. I don't think. This is no time to do it, no until I can really hold forth. But just but just like like early check in here feeling it it's super well because really it's really well made game just production value wise, like it it looks amazing, it's super runs, super smoothly, controls really well. Like it feels, like I said, as far as I remember, exactly like Dead Space for better or worse. I mean, the game played amazingly, but like you know, maybe you I do remember changed a little bit more. I don't know. I do remember in a demo that we had that pacing it seemed a little faster look like the people are moving at I'm talking about the downloadable one they put out. No, they actually say that its like was faster, he said. They said it was fast. Like I, especially in a game like this, I like to kind of creep along, you know, like sort of peer around corners and stuff like that. There there is no creep setting on the analog stick, Like the slowest speed is like a pretty full on walk. And I couldn't remember if that was the same or not, but it seemed like he was moved trucking along a little fashion, because in the first one it was very much like you know, streep slowly. So this feels, uh, and that sounds a little more linear and a little more kind of propelled, like the first one was a lot of like, you know, to go to a deck to like fix the hydroponics set up and go back down to be deck and do this blah blah. It's like a lot of expiration and back and forth and stuff like. This is just like straight line. There's never any divergent path like you were just go, go, go shoot everymore finished yet right, No, definitely not. I'm like at the end of chapter two, out of what looks like fourteen fifteen Chan it could definitely turn back into that, but so far it's just like set piece after set piece after scripted encounter after like a guy getting his head ripped off. Like it's it's very much just like a straight ahead action game. But you know, we'll see, we'll see where it goes from there. Yeah, I'm pretty excited about that. Actually when I'm at early the year, like, yeah, it seems really good so far. They do, uh, I seem to remember it in the first one, didn't they didn't they in these chapter with you getting on that tram and like go into the next area, So did you did you want to play that game? Yeah? Okay, Like the like the very artificial break points between chapters was that okay, right, and it was like go get the engine parts and go get them. But it's like get on the tram loading screen next chapter. Like this has a lot more fluid. It's almost like a Half Life style where it's just like dropping you into the next zone. You don't even go into the loading screen. It's just like as you're walking into a new area, it just pops up like chapter two, keep going. It's just it's totally seamless yeah, I'll be curious to see too. I mean the first one just had such an amazing audio design. Yeah, like all that like outside the vacuum stuff, like all that stuff. Kind of curious to see it. It's yeah, I mean I've I've hit some zero G and some vacuum and that stuff, so all you know, still earning his keep over there. Yeah, I mean the UI stuff looks great, but it looks pretty much exactly the same. Dropped the way point for everything about it, like the sound of picking up items and just about everything about it feels like more dead space. I mean it's, like I said, it's super well made, but I can go for some more. Yeah, yeah, definitely. The weapon stuff still kind of contrived, Like you get your first laser in a pretty ridiculous way. It's not mining equipment, but it's still not a weapon. Interesting, all right, I don't know, you'll see yeah soon enough. That's coming out before the end of the month, like two weeks. Yeah, two weeks. Get your asked the Mars, get your asked of the sprawl. I'm interested to see what the hell they do. I should play that motion comic because that story started getting real bizarre at the end of the playing, just to kind of get some set up for this, because it would feel like a complete non sequit or if you didn't and you played the extraction was the w one. Yes, okay, that was beautiful. That was a prequel to the first Space. I feel like I need to catch up on the fiction because all I remember from the end of the first one was like it off the rails and some religious kind of right, So they lean, they lean really heavily on that unutology stuff, like they're almost setting up like this. Maybe I can't never mind, that's it. Come back in a couple of weeks the curtain. Don't talk about it anymore any else. That's it, Brad. I think that's it all right. While we're on the topic of EA games sports came through jamp bomb offices last week. Gave me a demo of the new Tiger Woods game. So PGA, Yes, Tiger Woods PGA Tour or twelve to the Masters Augusta Augusta. Is that the full title? I don't know what the actual I don't know that any of the Augusta's Master stuff is in the title, but the box says the Masters. Yeah. Can we talk about that? Box start a little bit, sure, you know it's it's the image of Tiger is about three millions. There is there even an image of Tiger on it. I thought it was literally it's like a team silhouette in the distance of him since you know it actually it's still has the branding on it. But they are downplaying the Tiger and end up playing the Augustus stuff. Pretty significant Madden presents the Masters, and I think it's the like, this is the cleanest they could have handled this, like you know, Ea and Tiger, and they found something that like people that value golf games take pretty serious. This is when you found something that is a that is a meaningful, big deal for golf games, like by getting Augusta. This isn't just like them going like, hey, here's the thing to distract. It's like, no likes. That's basically the fucking super Bowl for golf. The Masters is the is the fucking jacket, the jacket, the green jackets. It's a tournament. It's like basically, okay, so he has been making golf games for at least a good like what twelve fifteen years longer than that they've been doing. It's like, I mean they're making PGA Tour games before Tiger came along for a long time. Does this thing such a big get that they've just now gotten it? Like, is it really that hard to lock down the line? It sounded like from talking to them, yes, like okay. So one of the points they made is they actually for for the scorecards, like between between rounds, are actually the like masters at Augusta scorecards that they use. They said that the Augusta people sent them one of these so they could scan it and then asked that it be sent back, like they did not want the physical one of these things around, like like the the like the you know, the I don't know, the head gardener or whatever at Augusta was like emailing them and letting them know, all right, we're putting in some azaleas here and here on this course, so if you can update the you know, the course design to uh no, it wasn't boring, let's pull though. Uh So, like yeah, like crazy control things. I also think they probably want a shitload of money, And I imagine they're like, well, we're already spending a shitload of money on Tiger, so we're good. But now they're like, oh fuck, now we need to spend a shitload of money on the masks on the box. But imagine like you had one of those Augusta cards and filled in your fucking score and posted it on like Twitter and be like, check what I did at the Masters. It's officials, an official I guess. I guess for people who my jacket, if you're really serious about golf, there's like an element of kind of fantasy fulfillment of getting to play this course. Absolutely and and and they're so they have and they have like performances from previous Masters, and when the Masters happens this year, which is gonna be right around the time that the game comes out, they're going to have like basically like live updating stats on that stuff that you can compete against. H. So they're they're going pretty pretty deep with the Masters stuff, and it makes sense. And they're also what else, U, Well, Tiger's not invisible. Tiger is not No, there's still plenty of Tiger stuff in there. He is still in the game. You Actually the like big opening of that game is actually you playing as Tiger at one of the Masters, the one he won. I don't know, I I like video game golf I do not actually follow real golf. Uh So, a lot of this stuff is crazy. A lot of the stuff is kind of immatiate real to me. It's it's more of just like, is it still fun? A lot of boning in real golf for me, for me to to sit around on a Sunday morning. And I actually went back over the weekend and played a bunch of eleven after after they came through last week with Twitter relaxing video games, I forgot like, oh you know what, for about about two weekends every year. Yeah, I fucking love video game golf. It's just it's just great. It's just what I need. Well, iram Skins game, I'm saying. Uh. The other thing they're adding is, uh is some some caddy assist stuff to help you. Oh Caddy. I was like being like, nice shot, that's right, Oh yeah, I wanted to take the four Woods. Here's your wedge. I believe you. I believe you can get a caddy caddy if you so desire those men. That's that's forthcoming still, h so you so, so there's that Basically, it's it's kind of their their attempt to can like with all accessible games of accessibility accessibilit accessibility. Uh so I was surprised at what they're not adding, which is motion controls. None. Right, No, I mean it's already got it has moved support. Last year's has moved support. This year's as it goes into no connect and it has I mean we version has had motion plus for years, so it has everything, it just doesn't have connect. Oh so this year does have move. It hadn't moved last year. They passed in move in eleven and it will ship with move. And they basically just said like, yeah, we're just refining it and first person mode as being a thing, which I imagine is better for headshots. Know it's it's uh like thirty under. But the guy from from there from Tiberon basically said that, yeah, you know, we'd had a little bit of time to patch this into eleven, but now we've had more time with it. So it's just we're not radically changing the way the move stuff works. It just tied it up. It's better, uh, tired it up. Same same with the Motion Plus stuff, but I think it looks better. They kind of made a bit of a to do over there, the new grass that they have procedurally procedurally generated grass, which speed grass. If if you can't make you know, like that's kind of the the golf is grass. Well, I mean it's it's the burden of percent of golf is grass, the burden of kind of all sports games. And to a certain degree, you know, golf in particular is like the best that can look like is a golf course. Like there's there's really like video like other video games, when you get into like fantasy and sci fi, you can make unimaginable things real. But when you're dealing with something that is real and you're just trying to make it that good. And that's why they need to bring back zany golf. I want to see that jumping cheeseburger over the whole. I was actually just thinking the other day about all of the awful zany PS two New era. Yeah that that was air quotes zany uh PS two golf games that exists, like cyber Tiger. I would know because that I was. I was thinking more along the lines of the Aquitine Hunger Force. Oh yeah, golf game. I was thinking of outlaw golf. Oh yeah, trying not to think about it. Out a golf you can help it Outlaw golf, Outlaw volleyball, yep, I believe there were other outlaw products. So the hitters of the Arcade Sports Kingdom say, we really don't need we don't need any golf, no specific Zanny golf, like the actual game brand name. Yeah, like the I believe it was. That is the name of it. Sounds like it hit. It was a generic. It was PC. It was like a but I remember remember the PC version and there was one hole specifically that there was just a giant hamburger covering the hole. Oh yeah, I remember that would hit the button on the controller to rhythmically to start making the burger jump and it would come apart, like through its pieces, so you'd see like the cheese and the stuff as it was hopping. And after you got it going good enough, you would take the shot because it would not be covering the hole anymore. But then you have to time it. And it was stupid and that's great, So I can't wait to that. Yeah, it's one of the Actually one of the things they said is no no made up courses at all. What about cheeseburgers real? Uh, no made up cheeseburgers either, only only real cheeseburger. They mo capped a bunch of different cheeseburgers. The creative players Cheeseburgers came out. They didn't show something created stuff, but it kind of sounded like a lot of that's going to be like the EA face map. They're gonna use their their same and Tiger uses its own, like Tigers Tech is different from the the UFC or the Fight Night Tech. It was unfortunately, because that stuff is the best. I have not seen anything that that does it as well as I'm sorry Mma, my apologies to brand managers the world. People like EA and Teach. It didn't work. That's what they get for not getting the license. Just had a heart but on both ends, both both just had heart attacks. Someone teachers like they didn't have its. Just call it Cola, Just call it cola. It's fine, strike forced Cola. Everybody's happening. Hey, it just a really bad interjection here, Yes, please you. I can't remember if you said the connectors not take the place of the Xbox Live Vision camera. It does not take the place of that. I can't remember if I dreamed that or not. I some games have patched it in, like Deaf Jam, Rap Stars both take the place if you patch it in. Yes, okay, but it is not an automatic yeah like thing, okay, all right, I suddenly remember that I'm saying, like, like, which, how crazy? Is that crazy? That's what I thought I dreamed it. Yeah, well, I mean even it's kind of it's kind of weird that like the dashboard thing doesn't doesn't do. That's pretty weird, like like for like for like the dashboard background effects, you still got to have the vision camera. Think the game still you know, still requires the vision camera. I'm sure. I'm sure you had to use. I mean there are different API hooks or whatever for camera devices, so but it pretty connect games. It's not too surprising, but it's it seems kind of dumb that the connect doesn't have something that just looks like that just like oh yeah, I'm that too. Yeah yeah, it's a camera. Just push that should do that. Let's go. Well until until they fix you know, none of us can rest easy. Yeah sorry, I don't. I mean whatever, it's still the only thing that did I use the live vision camera Paradise, so it was pretty good. That wasn't bad. Well, I was thinking with the face capture stuff, yeah, you know, but the camera fidelities no better on the connect, like just two visions right, basically the same resolution each camera. I don't think there's two cameras. It is a higher resolution, but still not high enough to do what you wanted to do. I thought, it isn't it two optical camera? Isn't an infrared? I think we we plugged in the PS three or the thea an eye into the your Mac, and that thing looked great, and then we plugged it into the PS three and it looks like poop. Yeah, that thing I can actually look really nice, except when you play three it looks like shit. I was playing a beat sketcher. Oh really, how is that? I watched videos of that and thought, man, I would really like to play that. We'll check them out this week. We're gonna do We're gonna do a little PSN move game round up. Yeah. I need to Yeah, I need to get a move stuff like move stuff set up at home. I have like that room set up for connect, but I have not put your move stuff in there. Poot my move stuff in there because I don't have move stuff. You don't like to move it, move it. I do not like to move it. Move it. But but after seeing that Beat Sketcher video, I almost like ran out and bought all that stuff. And then I was like, man, then I often move my PS three out of the main room that I play games in, and then I'll have to use this other room that I barely ever use, just but that'll be three D and I could. I was like, ahh, Calgan take me away. Yeah, pretty much. I just came up on the whole thing. But then I was a costco and they said they had a move charging stand and I was like, oh, right, move I could totally bow that stuff right here. But they didn't have any of it. Plenty of standalone connects, I guess I should say, but but they did no move gear there whatsoever other than this charging stand. So to get us back, I think. I think Tiger twelve looks pretty good. Doesn't move it move it? It does not Wait, no, it does, it moves it. It moves it. Yeah, it doesn't not connected, but it is, yeah, it is not connected. Yeah. Like then, coming through and giving the demo, my immediate feeling was like, man, I'm gonna play some Tiger, And then I did. I played a bunch of Tiger eleven with the last year. You don't have to by twelve. Got the golf out of your syst? What is that? What's their schedule like for golf games? Pop late spring? Yeah, March April, like I can't remember off the top of my head. I'm sorry this year, yes soon? Yeah, less than twelve months since they shipped the last one, because they shipped the last one in June of twenty ten, so they're they're doing that pretty quickly. Indeed, what else happened? I finished, uh, Puzzle Agents tell Tales, Puzzle Puzzle Agent the Oh god, that's right. I played some Back to the Future. How is that? I didn't play it. I didn't like that. I didn't didn't really grab me so so firmly. I enjoyed it, got me goods. So slow to start, I mean, it's an adventure game. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe maybe you guys are just more used to like the Telltale style than I am. I mean, yeah, they make adventure games the way they kind of always made adventure games. So if you have not played a traditional style adventure game in a while, adventure games are kind of slow. You got to spend a lot of time talking to people, except puzzle. Yeah, except for Puzzle Agent, which just cuts fucking everything down to the basics, which I really appreciate puzzles and agents, puzzles, carbra box strings go. I don't know, but I mean like it never it doesn't. It doesn't go to such lengths is your traditional puzzle game to couch everything into the world. It's just like here's a puzzle like latent style of just like all right, yeah, here's it kind of makes some sense because match sticks, but they're puzzle go. Uh. And the end of that episode made me bummed that I don't believe there will ever be another one of those, because it ends on a nice never finished. You never finished it, You should really finish. Where were you? No recollection the sheriff? You just stuck on the sheriff. Nobody died in a factory. How long is it? Puzzle Asia spends on how long you spend on a puzzle. Yeah. Yeah, that's the brutal part is that, like it goes through this so a lot of the puzzles are like you you finished the puzzle. It's like, okay, clearly I have completed this puzzle. Hit submit. After that, it then like spins around and takes you basically like it folds up the puzzle like it was a piece of paper and puts it into an end and then there's like a big stamp before it gets shipped off. I guess to the agency or whatever that other says like approved or denied. And so you have to go through this lengthy thing. So sometimes it's like clearly I'm good, but sometimes like, well, it's kind of a logic puzzle of like questions of like all right, you know there's eight fish on this line, and inside each one of these fish is one of the fish of that smoke. Then fish can only hold one which of these lines has five fish on it? So it's like you know, fucking word problem stuff basically, so you have to like go, okay, I think that's the answer. I you know, worked out the logic in my head, so I think this is what it is. But you have to go through this whole lengthy thing before you find out like did I do it? Did I do it? Fuck? No, I didn't know that, because and every time that you fuck it up, you're like, okay, let me rethink this. You're like all right, I've got the Yeah, it's pretty here's the logic, what's up? Have you played any of the lating games? It's been a long time. Like there's about three seconds of tension, the camera zooms and then they either they're either very happy or very dad fuck. You know. It's it's a good like you're like, oh god, that's the worst, but really enjoyed, really really like great great voice work, some nice puzzles. It is very late in esque. It's it's a Western latent and like we interviewed the guy, Yeah, we interviewed the guys who who did like the art. He was a former Telltale guy. I can't remember what the connection was anyway, And we interviewed a guy at Packs about it, and he pretty explicitly said, like, yeah, I was playing Latent and I really like that. I wanted to take a game like that, Like appreciate your candor on this topic and it shows, and that's fine, Like it doesn't need to be entirely original, but I think you can get that thing super cheap on a billion different platforms. I think it would be it would be the polite thing to do if you're making the first installment in a franchise whose future is uncertain to maybe not end on a cliffhanger. I don't know. It seemed like it was supposed to be serialized, so I could see why, Yeah, but didn't its entire existence hinge on its success. Yeah, that's a pilot. But you want to make something. You want to make something that has a hook for the next episode, so that if it gets picked up, you're not just like, Okay, we have to contrive some reason why there's a second episode. It's just the worst one. Even like when TV shows get canceled without a proper ending, it's just it's you just you need some clothes, just a song of fire and ice. Aren't too a game of Thrones, Like, let's not get into that. It's George rr Martin battled asshole's gonna die, Brad. Brad just finally watched the last season of Lost. That's what's going on right here. Yeah, so what happened? Stupid Church. Never actually seen Lost. I played though a whole bunch more fall Out New Vegas. Finished fall Out New Vegas four times, because they're there are four different, four different and well, so I I you know, I played Uh. I was actually really really happy with with my experience with with fallow in New Vegas, because like Fallout three, had the issue of found yourself in the end game without realizing it, and so it's like, oh, I finished the game, like, okay, well, now let me go back to that save and get the ending that I actually want to get aside from a little bit of like mid game kind of messing around, I first go through, I got like the ending that I wanted, and it played out the way I had hoped it would. So I was really super satisfied with that, and it felt like I felt like the ending that I got was like the right ending, even though I went back and then played all the other endings, I'm like, Okay, I see where this is. This is valid. Are they pretty short choices to get you to the other endings? They can't. I think depending on how you play that game, they can be because I I, you know, I had been kind of avoiding the main story stuff for a lot of it and did a lot of side quests. I think it was also actually kind of helped because one of the things that I ended up hitting was this this weird bottleneck where in like three of the four stories I mean endings or threads or something. Well yeah, well so so kind of like there's a point of no return within each of the four and then it's kind of different factions. But so so it's like, yeah, it's like if you work too much with any one faction, the others will turn against you. But that's even that as well before the kind of end game all right, And this was kind of frustrating to me because like I was hoping I could kind of string all of them along right up to the very end and then finish it one way and go back and finish it the other three ways. But instead, oh, just like it failed me on like three missions all at once and then saved. So this is this is four discrete quest lines. Yeah, it's not. It's not one story where at some point you have to pick one and go no, like you're doing. You can see these are I had four different quests going at one time, but if I followed one of them to a certain point, the other three would fail out. But it's like which is which is what happened? If you charted it, it's like four different lines like going parallel. But but the thing is that like I had gotten to the point, Jeff, where like once you get past that point of no return with one of the other factions. There's only like three things to do before you get to the end, if the actual the actual end sequence, at least there was for me, because I had already taken care of of of one of the families on the strip, and I mean there's there's like two other factions out in the wild you have to concern yourself with, and then there's just kind of so I was trying to get everybody to like me because there was no real taken care of families on the strip. So when I got to my point in a return, I felt like there was still significant stuff that I had to do. Oh. I mean, you have to make choices as far as like, all right, I'm gonna am I gonna be cool with these guys or am I gonna dust these motherfuckers? Yea, But the actual activities that you need to get through, right are pretty quick. So I was basically I had it. I had for me the ending sequence, the final action sequence before I speeched my way through the actual ending. The big kind of climax of that story, if you will, was practically broken from a combat perspective, and the thought of doing that even a second time yeah, oh wow, like broken hard, Like I'm crouching and running in this door and healing up with all this water and then walking out and firing five more shots except for except for back in and one occasion, except for one of the four playthroughs, uh the other three, and I was not combat specked at all. I was like pure speech literally walking through it. Literally just just like just just walking right through. All of my time at the Damn was probably the worst part of that entire game, because it was like all my time at the Damn complete non issue. You didn't fight at all. I barely fought. I didn't have to. I was surrounded by chacters from multiple factions that were firing upon me on site. We'll see. They were all my friends. However, I managed to play it out. I had soon as it cut off contact. I had other factions in the in the quest line I was going through that that not had. I had good allies for all those points. And yeah, yes, man is was a delight. I love that character. And I was really surprised at to find out that that was Dave Foley doing the voice of that character. Yeah, I didn't know that until you told me this more Uh, I don't know that is yet. Uh. Yeah, you haven't gotten there, which means that you haven't played that much fall Out in Vegas. I've played a bunch of it. No, I've played it the wrong way. If you if you didn't get to that, if you didn't get to that part, you played that much. It's a pretty that's a pretty early story beat. Maybe yeah, well, because you don't even you haven't even gotten to like finding Benny. I searched schools that have been abandoned. That's what I do. I'm a waist. Yeah, I don't know. I don't I learned after I feel like I just I tore through this game. Compared to fall At three, personally, it's a smaller game. It does not have the same scope as fall Out three. As far as just how huge the world is. I think I think a lot of the storytelling is is a whole lot better, and it's a maybe a more compelling kind of scenario that they set up for it. But I found it was a lot easier to say, and I had learned my lessons from fall at three of don't just go fucking wander around and the waists it's like, be objective oriented and you'll have a faster and more fun time with this. So yeah, So I finished it, and then I finished it three more times. It only took me like maybe an hour or two of additional play for like each of the other endings is a DLC out for the way I had. Yeah, and I started playing that. It's not so good the dead money, which is too bad because it seems very promising with ghosts. Yes, all right, it might it might have something to do with ghosts. It was like they have a new casino that's that's outside of town, so it's kind of you know, the pit style where they just kind of there's a hole here, and then you take the hole and then you go to a new place. But then they also like strip all of your companions and all your stuff, so kind of contriving. So it's like anchorage. It's contriving the difficulty so that you can't just come in there with some crazy weapons that throw off the balance. Basically, I just wanted to have the the save game and the ending of the original game and stuff are handled with delC, same as it was for the first game for FO three before they patched it, to have no ending, so you just have to go back to save and you also have to be they they suggest it actually kind of makes this, this this piece of content a little more fucked. They say, don't play this if you aren't at level twenty yet and follow New Vegas only goes up to thirty, so you basically have a ten level window in which you should play this before you finished the game. Basically weird. I wonder if DLC three will remove the like the ending ending. Yeah, it'd be pretty funny. I don't know, like I feel like, you know, New Vegas ends and it's fine. Uh, I guess I don't really feel that compelled. I don't feel like there's much to be gained other than like, yo, go do more missions yea from returning to the world of the Mojavey waste Land after after the story wraps, which I really kind of just speaks to how much more significant, like the main story thread in in New Vegas is compared to you know what you got. I think that they would it would be really interesting if they constructed some DLC that continued on past that and took your choices into count because I think that that stuff impact on the strip is profound. Yeah, and seeing that in action I think would be exciting. Just talk a lot, that's all you need to do. A new engine, next game, seems to see, seems to work. Talk a lot works for this podcast. Indeed we have we have one hundred in talking in speech. Oh else, they're good because when we've on some news kind about a little news, what's going on in the world. People have hacked the PlayStation three. Guys, all those all those lenoxisos that you've been torrentating, you can finally install them romstation. All these super Nintendo games I've been illegally bootlegging rams. Uh, Jeff, do you have any sense of why or if this is a big deal. Well, the big deal about it is that they are apparently found they've reverse engineered the a lot of Sony's encryption like algorithm, key, stuffy crypto. I'm just gonna keep saying words so they can so they can just say they can just make anything look like it looks so real. Yeah, they can. They can make firm more updates look like they're real. Yeah. Wait a minute, are you saying that if they were to sign and release something that if you had Vanilla out of box p S three you could go download that thing and slap it on a USB stick and run it. That's that's Yeah, that is terrific more or less. The so it's not even like I have to go and modify my stuff. They just have to include whatever this code. There's no hardware side to this. Shame, I had no idea. That's crazy. And this is the same dude that like an unbox the iPhone, right, isn't this He's one of the dudes. Yeah, that team, it's too hot. He was not the original jail breaker, but you know, definitely came up with some new and exciting ways to jail break iPhones. Is he the one that I heard was lobbying for a job at Sony? He did. He did, actually like as part of this. One of the things he posted tomail was just like, you know, hey, if anyone wants to make their next console secure, you know you can hire me. It would be fun to do this from the other side. Yeah, I think is the exact wording or closer to the wording of what he had to say. It wasn't necessarily Sony should hire me or I'll do this. This nothing like that I'm trying to blackmail, but I mean, that's a lot of people are pinning this or you know that the people that that did this and are affiliated with it, or or the people that are part of that scene are trying to say, like, you know, this all came about because Sony removed Lenox removed other OS support, which now they've apparently hacked back in because they're saying that a lot of this stuff is is actually kind of trivial. They just never thought to look because there's already an open hole to run home brewed software. The validity of that, who can say, really, that's you know, there's forced my hand. Yeah, it's you know, that's a kind of story and all that, But I don't, I don't know, it's it's not usually not that cut and d it's still paris. No, it's actually not yet. No one is running bootleg PS three games with this stuff yet, but they can h not with the stuff that's out there right now. Probably eventually lead to that point. I mean, is it is it? Isn't it illegal to like your end user agreement agreement to modify it's software on it? Courts recently upheld your right to jail break your iPhone? Really? Yeah? Cool, let's do it. So no, who's got the key makes some fucking unstable as shit. Mine is totally busy jail broken, so does updating it to the latest. I feel like you reboot your phone constantly. No no, no, not so you can. You can. If you own it the thing, you can do whatever you want with it. In terms of that's the the theory. And I imagine that that would that would get upheld by a court, uh if it, if it eventually, I kind of the thing is, yeah, I do too. The thing is is that it always ends up getting tied with like this guy is using this defense because we caught him selling bootleg games, you know, and that that guy always gets nailed to the wall. It's too much legal theory for us to say anything. Yeah, right the other but but yeah, it seems like you know, the it's the same kind of deal as your car. You can put whatever motor you want in your car as long as it passes small and all that sort of stuff. You can paint your car whatever color you wants, a bootleg and Nintendo games, right, as long as your car does not run nest tapes, everything will be fun. So you can make that car if it doesn't. You can make an emulator, but you can't boot like the game for it, basically, right, that's yeah, exactly, emulators are legal, but the trafficking in the wrong intellectual property, that's that's the that's where they get part. Yeah, so I could see some scenario under which, uh, you know, modifying a PlayStation three like this would be fully legal. Until then it's it's you know, it's it's not. I don't believe it's a DMCA exception just yet, so who knows. But I guess the whole problem with these keys is that it's the stuff that Sony would use to create an update to prevent you from doing this. So with them having with with that in the hands of the public, with that being shared in a Google doc now, as opposed to being buried deep within a PlayStation three, it sounds like as long as you are careful about which updates you accept, uh and and don't install whatever one somebody can come up with, it'll undo it or something that you might theoretically be able to do this forever and there might not be anything they can do to stop it. And that's the part that gets scary because at some point and also all the PSP keys were in with this two PSP piracy has been a big problem for a long time. But this is ain't going to help. So if you if you want to create the death of something like the Dreamcast or the three, there you go. You kind of yeah, if you guys, wonder what happened to the Dreamcast was not the end of the Dreamcast. It was it was It was a good like final nail in the coffin, like, oh, here's a perfectly legitimate business reason for us to abandon this platform, as opposed to our gut feeling which is already saying stop zero protection on any software released for the platform. Well, probably not going to do anything with that. Yeah, at the same time as the CD burners are completely saturating the market. Yeah, bad combination. Yeah, whould ever burned a CD? That's so hard? That's crazy. It did not help the Dreamcast, I will give you. That did not help. It's not like modships on the PlayStation were tough, but at least but at least that you know, that prevented casual like that was that's the old That's the real problem with all this stuff is it's not piracy. That's the issue. It's casual piracy. That's the issue. It's it's I'm gonna give a copy of this to my friend and it's super easy to do something like. That's the that's where it's bad, and that's that was Like the big problem with the Dreamcast is it became that easy. The PSP has become so easy, that easy for some people. And if the p S three becomes that easy, yeah, it's it's a it's a huge deterrent developers. Yeah. I was gonna say maybe not even so much to Sony, but like the developers are like, hey, you know, you don't necessarily like the I would not call the PSP a vibrant platform, let's say. And piracy has been a severe issue on that thing for sometime. Yeah, years and years. Let me still get a lot of PC people saying that, like that, is it one of the reasons why it's tough to the PC. Yeah, No, fear of piracy on the PC is why Ubisoft does crazy shit. Yeah, like all that all that stuff, all the DRM stuff you see, is because no one fucking pays for games on that platform. Well, they're definitely afraid of it or afraid of being pirated. Some people too, But not at Yeah, I don't know. It's like, you know, we we haven't run the numbers on it. We don't We don't really know the exactly what the business loss is on that stuff, you know, because it always gets inflated anytime anyone says we lost this much due to pirates. But it's it's the fear of that. It's the fear of that, and it's not infounded on the platforms where the fear exists. I mean, Nintendo straight up released new hardware with with the DS, yeah, to get around basically the piracy problem they were having, you know, with the the original and the light and and that didn't fully solve it. Yeah, you know, that's that's still an ongoing thing. That platform does all right, it does, it does all right. Well, that's the thing is you have to buy hardware to make it go. Yeah. Uh with a you know, with the system that's got all hard or you know, like a PSP GO or something like that that's got nice internal storage ready to hold your bootleg games, it becomes a larger issue. You know. It's it's when when you don't have to do that hardware modification, if you don't have to know how to use a soldering iron. Also, Nintendo makes money on the DS like the DS itself, so it's not it's not like we're like, Okay, the p S three was a lost leader. Now we need to sell a bunch of fucking games to make up the difference. I think the business of the p S three has changed enough to where they might actually be it's probably if not yeah, you're right it it's at least it's at least closer. Yeah, for sure at this point. So that's it's it's not quite as savage as as it maybe was back in the launch of it. If this had happened the weekend the launched the p S three, uh, there would be there or I feel kind of bad for Sony for kind of for essentially being punished for kind of doing the right thing, which was creating a relatively open system with float open standards where it's like, you know, if you want to use your own Bluetooth headset or your own USB headset or hard drive or you name it, like keyboard whatever. Yeah, yeah, like they it's it's one of the few times where Sony has been like kind of standards based with some of the stuff. And yeah, because generally they rely all on their own proprietor format. The ability to install like the other OS stuff was really you know, I never used it. It was nice that it was there. I still actually I have a PS three that could still conceivably install that stuff because I bought a slim and then stopped updating the firmware on my own one. Maybe they'll just release something, Uh, they'll they'll change the manufacturing print on the blue rays that require a firmware update to use on the blue ray player that you need to get, and that'll pair and lock it out. Yes, But I think the issue is that if you're already in on that stuff, if you're already following that stuff, then you just then all a custom firmware and that has all that stuff, but still lets you. I mean they do that, they do that on the PSP. Still like that shit. I believe it's changed. It's not quite it's not quite like that, but yeah, it's yeah, and end a rounds existed. Yeah, it's it's very serious stuff. It's you know, it's not even stuff that I fully understand. I'm not sitting here claiming to be some expert on algorithms and keys and crypto, cryptography and cryptography and whatever the crypto are you saying? You're a cryptaitlist. I'm a crypto anarchist, crypto, hard crypto. Basically, I want to pick up a phone and shout, go secure into it, and then hit a button on the phone that makes a weird squealing always for a second, and then after that, Yeah, okay, go ahead, yeah exactly, take out your whistle. And then I was I was reading this, this list of the top ten album at Easter Eggs, Yeah, over the weekend. And this LP came out in the eighties. It was something like new wave one hit wonder band I can't remember the name called information about this Yeah, like play it into a modem that generate totally did that. I've done that myself. My head exploded. I probably I probably still have the text file somewhere. And they were not a one hit wonder No, the Society piece Love What's On? What's Period? A lesser known member of the New Wave. Hey you know what, Harland did music for video games. I think he worked at Second I believe, I believe the lead guy still works at Crystal or works at Crystal Namis. Wait, so I don't know what happened also a guy from Information Society. They had a car they had they had the dream Car on the cover. These they took some car and then removed all the body parts of it and replaced it with basically like barbecue grills. It's just mad Max looking crazy fucking car like there. Yeah, around that time they were all like into all this crazy cyberpunk looking stuff and so you've done. They wrote songs about mirror shades called mirror Shades, So it was it was Yeah, it was a sound file that the name of the track was the three hundred bps eight N one. It was the modem settings that you had to set your modem too. Then you would call up your modem and hold the phone up to the speaker where the song was playing. I didn't even call up, there was no like phone. I just hit ATA like you're answering a call with your computer and then you pick up the phone. Right, But you have to you have to initialize on that string. And what does it do? It slowly spits out this text file. It's basically tells it tells a story about this crazy like they're on tours and speaking of South American kill rooms. Yeah, it's like this distress call. Yeah, it's like this uncle like we are our bus was hijacked, we are trapped in That sounds freaky as how on this third world country? Please have send help? Because obviously that was the most efficient way to get the message right. We recorded this album and it was awesome. It was pretty cool. Like the last leg of Majestic. It took me like an hour to get it gone right because it was really hard to get the because basically, like the track on the album is half of the modem conversation, it just assumes that you know, if you have it set up right, your modem is gonna make the other half and and and read that stuff at the right times, and it's gonna come out just right. And and it totally did. It's pretty crazy, fucking incredible when remember, you had even done it already by the time I learned of this, and it still took me a long time to to get it figured out. But wow, yes, yes, Bread, we're aware. I was not thank you for sharing it. As a crypto anarchist, I was. I was busy trying to hack the planets. Captain Yeah, exactly. If I can whistle twenty uh Nintendo three DS. Speaking of which, right, Yeah, okay, go on, Lintendo World happened last week. Wait, I didn't even know. I was so bummed. I didn't even know that we had a fake Space world. Yeah, in Japan showed off a bunch of three DS stuff to make kids go blind. Uh. Yeah, everyone in Japan is now blind from looking at you said, I have to look at the three DS once and then cross side. We are all blind. We just don't know it yet, hasn't it hasn't hit yet. Well I'm halfway there. Yeah, so my vision's good though, so I will be scared when that happens. Uh. What, We've got eight launch games for the February twenty six Japan release state. We still don't have a US release date. We just know, Yeah, Mark believe. I believe that's March, is what they said. Isn't it people a preople taking pre orders the usual suspects. Yes, they are in the US. So all we really know is what's coming out day one in Japan. Because and then they have like a vague list of games that are out in the spring in Japan and a summer list and then a twenty eleven list. We've got the twenty eleven three D soccer. Oh boy, here we go. Yep, Super Street Fighter four three D edition, Samurai Warriors Chronicle No. No. Three D in that, Oh you don't get a hit. Nope, Nope. Toby dassu puzzle babble three D. So is that's just spuzzlebabblezzle? What's what's this? Toby das bullshit? I don't speak Ninten dogs and cats plus casts. I'm sorry. Ninten dogs plus cats plus lowercase en all all lowercase, lowercase and lower case C. Three D three D is not in the type. It's implied. I'm not I can neither confirm nor deny. Look, I just have the information in front of If you call up, if you call up your motum and you speak cats into the receiver, yeah, it'll spit out three three D a three D cat, pick up the phone and shout errors. Uh. That one's weird to me because like Ninten dogs, cats, like the dogs are clearly getting the better deal here. Well they're sponsored there, Yeah, they are branded the cats sequel to Ninten dogs. You know, but it's Ninten dogs. Well it's not ten cats. Sounds like gard end cats right, like not? And dogs and cats? No, it's that would make right. What are you? I'm a I'm an end cat cat. Yeah yeah, ten dogs and cats. I should be Ridge Racer three D. See you kind of wasted that with Smacks Battle of Giants Dinosaurs Strike. That's called something different in Japan. That's the name I think they announced for you, Strike three D. Okay, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. I thought that's a good name. Lane's got some good names, does Yeah, I saw some other I don't know if it was a translation of that or if it's they've alread announced it for us, but it was Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, so don't Yeah, Miracle Mask, it's really better. I don't know how I feel. See it again, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle. That sounds like a Japanese title to them. Yeah, the Miracle Miracle Mask is better Miracle Mask. It just sounds like Miracle Mile. Yeah that's great, and let's take place on the Miracle Mall. A Layton game in three D would be fun. It could be crazy. The mastick puzzles, fuck god, there is I have encountered one mastick puzzle so far in the in the new one, so only but only like one like okay, Layton is published by a Nintendo but only not there one five is a publisher I believe in Japan, right, yeah, okay, this was one first party, one single first party game in Japan, and it's Nints and Cats plus Cat plus Cats. I feel like they just it's clearly they just like we didn't even think we just bolted cats on it. This fun it's still just nintend dollars. You remember the press conference when they revealed that stuff. It was like in ten Dogs and then it's like, oh plus cats. Water was so excited, are you gonna take that away from him? So that's the's the Japanese launch, he's launch light. No, it's the other saying let's day one. There's other stuff that's gonna be you know, probably week two debt or alive dimensions as a date of like March twenty fourth. Yeah, so that's the trailer for that and yeah some good fake three D. Yeah. I guess that that and Street Fighter both have the same kind of easy operation system where there's gonna be combos on the bottom screen and if you touch them with the stylists, you do the content. Wow. Uh, these systems will come pact with a two gig s D card for your virtual console and three D s Square needs, and it sounds like it's gonna come with a couple of pre installed games, a R games and face shooting augmented Real augmented reality. So face ACE, I am going to there's screenshots to be in there of face shooting. Yeah, there came out as part of this. It you should look at and tell me if it is just face ACE, because it's sure sounded similar. But I did not see face ACE, so I was not even Guys, remember face Ace. I didn't see it. Every day I wake up trying to forget. Did you know Drew came with us for face Ace. That's right, there's nothing three D about That's just the camera, right face It's both yeah. Oh he's using the three D camera on the back. So the background pictures using different expressions, so you'd have like your angry face and your smiley face. And that's what I think it did that on the floor. No, everything was all all the animations stretched it, okay, but that is what it had, uh, and it mapped it onto balls. Yes, Okay, then that's totally what this is. Fucking awesome, dude, face ace. I will buy how much do they want for this? Thousand dollars? I don't care. It's twenty five thousand year. What does that mean in dollars? About? All right, I'll pick up one of those two eighties something like that. I don't know. I'll buy it in the States when it's like two fifty guess, guess two forty nine, twenty nine. Really like launch at two forty nine. I wish that they would do one ninety nine. I thought, I think nine. I don't think it's the right price. I just think it's the price they're gonna launch. I'll say, yeah, two seventy nine. Are you guys all on board? Like right out of the gate? No, I've got a DS. Yeah, uh DS. I'll play so all time. I really want to check it out. But I don't know. I don't These eight games are not exactly moving me, and uh, you know, the stuff I don't know. There's a there's a lot of video out there of some of the other games, like they Nintendo World. They're also given stage presentations. There's like a thirty five minute video of the kid Icarus Uprising presentation, right, looks like a little sin punishment but not can I not say, can I not play any of these games on my regular DS? No? Hell no games? So like, it's not like there's just like three D added. These are all three D. It's a better processor like you're you're getting even if you're playing in two D, you're gonna see yeah, provement. I mean, honestly, from what I saw the three it looks kind of PSPs in terms of the quality of the graphic. Alright, sound a little bit more back on board. Yeah, it's not just three D, but uh, I'm it's not two ds is taped together. I'm fine with four screens. Faces. That's the ace of faces. I don't I'm not trying to sound flip, but I think I'm gonna wait for the second version of it. It'll be smaller, it'll look better, it'll do something. You do you think they'll make it a full year? Well? Are you counting new colors as a no? No? Actual? Yeah, I think the d S light was about eighteen and I will say I will put that at eighteen from jet from first launch from Japanese launch, from from whatever the first one from Japanese launch. The Japanese launch, you're saying, uh, yeah, yeah, I will say launch to launch, which means that you'll probably hear about a new version of the three DS, you know, a bit before it actually comes out, So before that eighteen months is up. I think if their battery life is really going to be a problem, I'd cut it closer to a years, like if it's going to affect stuff where it's like I don't know. I mean if for the launch of a whole new platform, I don't know, Like when the DSi came out and then the XL came out like less than a year later. It was one thing, but when the when the Light, Yeah, like they're they're establishing a whole new brand identity in people's minds with this thing, Like you don't want to how long was it from this? This is not a third pillar? How is the new second dude from the Game Boy coming back? They said they're gonna make a new Do you think you think the DS the Eye is dead? Yeah? This replaces I mean, this play is all those games. So I haven't still a DSH. I haven't looked at any release lists, but has it seemed like first party DS development is winding down there, putting out a lot more DS games. Are dude, still making Game Boy games? I don't know. I don't think they can make them forever. I don't think so DS games games. I saw, I saw. I saw at least one kid in an airport over the holiday is playing a game Boy Advanced SP. That's a great platform, dude, things are still Boy Advanced SPS. It's sick as hell. It's good. I'm not knocking at all. I'm just I mean, they're they're definitely still out there. That if they made the three DS that looked like that, that might have been the best handheld basically does it just looks like a wide version of Yeah, but if we weren't, why if it were like that? Slim fitting the DS lights is a sweet piece of fucking kids, I think is the peak. Yo. You know what's a hot game? What's super Mario Land? I played a lot of the Turtle Shells and they explode? I played fo Yeah, I play a little bit of that over the break all right. I think that the crates we need to move out, we need to stop. Actually, we're sucking out of time for everything. So I wanted to know why you think the light is better than the eye. It's smaller, not that much. My eye fits in the case I had for my life. I don't know I could do. You have a DSi. I really hate, I really really dislike the main interface on the DSi. I really I prefer I preferred, I prefer the let's just get to it already. Well, you have a lot more to manage on the DSi though, because you got all those downloadble games and like app some stuff. Yeah, all those downloadble games, dude, whatever, I have like eight DSi were games, Tell me about them. We're gonna move on now. That's coming out this week, you guys, that's not true at all? What about what about downloadable stuff? All right? So Ghost Trick is coming out for the DSc DC Universe on Lines coming out for the PC and speak is it? Yeah? It is pretty bad. And then you know what, I wasn't the last one to touch it. You were the last one to touch it. You gotta you gotta, you gotta deal with it. But I don't know how to deal with it. Well, no, no one knows how to deal deal deal with it. Hey, DC Universe, deal with it. They've been talk at that forever. That's a big deal. I kind of didn't think it was gonna come out, and I reached a point where I was like, Yeah, this is just gonna be in beta forever. Then they're going to cancel it. Didn't We see that at the first E three We went to yea, and then that was three threes ago, and then the second one and then the third one. Although now it's out. So you know Xbox lab Ricade this week zeit squared for eight hundred points. Oh yeah, it's a side scrolling shooter with time travel. Yeah, time you were wand stuff to get it right, Shoot guys, then shoot him again. Uh. That's what I know of for this week's new really no game room stuff as far as I know. Start the Clock week one I just needed. I needed too no game room. I need no game room. Last week. I need to qualify it because there could be but they're not telling me about it. PlayStation Network they got anything going down? Probably great. Do you play Tetris? That's it? Yeah, you gonna play some Tetris. You know they're selling ZHP. You just go get it. I don't know. I don't know if I'm there if I think you should or not, but you could do that. Maybe it's cool. Angry Birds is out as a PSP mini. That's true. I saw that on the on the store when I got Tetris. Oh, that's right, Venetica. It's coming out for a bunch of different platforms. No idea what that game is. I saw PCPs three three sixty. Somebody on my Xbox list was playing that over the weekend. I was wondering what that was. Damn role playing. I believe I believe that's correct. Printy two Dawn of Operation Panties, Dude. Pretty is totally in ZHP. But for there's pretty there there's a pretty for the printy is your wife? You say that name again? Please? Pretty two Dawn of Operation Panties dude. So it's two d oo d exclamation point. They're they're localized game titles. Holy holds true to the first game. Yeah, they're not bad with that stuff. And there's some stuff on Nintendo but whatever, Like what what jelly cartwo tell me about it? No email, Giant bomb dot com is the email address. We've made some changes while we were gone. First one comes from Ted in Old Bridge, New Jersey up ted old Bridge. What's up? Bomb cast says not much. He says, I got a sweet touchscreen monitor for Christmas, and one of the things that came to my mind while using it was this would be awesome if it were integrated with Xbox or p S three games. I thought he was gonna say, this would be awesome if anything supported. Basically, what do you even do with one of this? I know motion control, man, I could play Ruse. I know motion control is the lates fad of gaming. I messed that one up real bad. I know motion control is the lates fad in gaming, But do you think it touch screens support will ever make its way into the world of console gaming? Is the ds count? Short answer though, not on those None on those systems, because no one plays. There's a long answer. No, no one plays. No one plays Xbox sixty or p S three games on a touch screen monitor. Yeah, because no one is ever close enough to the monitor to touch it, because they play on big TVs. Yeah, even even on the you know, on the PC end where where you may be closer, I guess you know. Yeah, touch screen gaming is alive and well on the iPad, right, and Windows eight. When Windows eight holls out full and is and is like all super heavy and has touch stuff. Oh god, what if it does go that way? I think it like, look at what they're doing with the next the next OS ten, Like it's got all the It's basically got the iPad home screen in it. Yeah, I mean yeah, Windows eight has as mad touch hooks and what's happening to computer? So Ted is ahead of the curve Hew with his touch screen monitor just basically he's got it before did do anything with it, and then he won't want to do anything with it. I like controllers. I'm fine with controllers. A cranky old man. You even put more buttons on it. I'm okay. I like to use my hands when I play games. It's a baby's toy. Yeah, I know, I know. Uh. Let's see here. WB Jacobs in Milpetis, California. Over under five years until the announcement of a Revenge of the Nerds remake movie movie. I'm gonna say that they already started and canceled one of those about four or five years ago. Nerds still play Fox Fox Atomic, which was supposed to be like their cheap e semi indie label. They had started to make one and then terribly just fucking collapsed at some point and like they were like casts ready to shoot and then something happened in it all buckled. So let's say no. Let's say no because they already tried it, couldn't get it going in five years. It's like it's like double Jeopardy, you can't. Yeah, I'm saying, but it's like they got that. It's not like a Superman thing where it's like, oh well, we talked about it with a lot of people in their options and they just never got made. It's like, no, we cast it and it was in production before it died us he counting straight to DVD. Yes, yeah, remake not a fucking like Twelfth one, because they did. They did a bunch of actual, actual reboot less of a chance. Then, Yeah, I was gonna say, like Nerds go to the Moon or something, totally glad I would watch that. I would totally we already on the Moon is boring, guys, I got it. Space joints, Oh, no, space jocks. They're the worst space jocks. It's just astronauts. See that trailer whatever astronaut's for Transformers three? Do you see the trailer that they're only one, the one, the one on the that's fucking great. I have no inten to ever see that movie, but the notion of Neil Armstrong found the Transformers on the Moon and yeah, and that's just should go watch the trailer for that because it's awesome. I just wish it was just something better. Still, the notion of just like, all right, we're faking this whole dark side of the Moon communication blackout so you can figure out what the hell's going on on the moon. And then as soon as like you see just a little bit of like jumblie, a metal crap that could only be part of trance of a new type of Transformer because they all look like shit like that, the weird too overly complicated metal fragments, like oh damn it. I was hoping this would be something awesome that Gary Sini sque or something. I could see Gary Sini showing up in the third Transformer. Yeah, yeah, yeah, as a Transformer. He could beat that transfer because it's like a crusty, old looking Transformer. Not don't even who taps out first, Michael Bay or the Transformers franchise, like will he exit and they'll keep making him with somebody else, or do you think he'll keep going until they stopped making him. I think he would give up first. Those things keep making enough money that the people that hold the license are just gonna go like, yep, yeah, we're gonna keep making money on this ship. But yes, when Michael Bay says, I've told all of the Transformers stories, I need to tell up enough Transformers. Know, he you know, moves up a level and hands it off to someone else and just just like shows up and says like, yeah, more explosions like third one in the space of like what four years. I mean, he ain't slowing down. Transmorphers did too, that's true. This this closes out the epic trilogy. Obviously, finally, many many unanswered questions Transformers too. The Moon transforms into Gary Gods. I would watch that movie twice. The moon is Transformer. That's right, it's Gary. The moon is a transfer It's called Unicron Duck. You know that's where they went with that. That would be I would I would at least be able to appreciate that, like that's a good way to go. Yeah, it's like all right, cool, yeah, but just went just that would be so crazy of suddenly in this reality, there's no more moon because it's a Joet transforming fucking robot. Yeah, and the oceans are going crazy. No no, no, no, no no no, yeah exactly. And then the child of Booth got the symbol on his arm or it was that the second one, and got a glowing fucking thing on his hand. He went, he went to the Transformers, Evan, though at one point I didn't see the whole thing. Man, I didn't see the whole thing. I find things I find things about Transformers too kind of entertaining. I actually I like Transformers too better than the first one. That does not mean anything about it is not just complete dog shit, but it's like the worst possible thing they could do to the Transformers line from a design perspective, like a cross the board. I mean, all the robots look like garbage. They got better about like they figured out that. They kind of addressed the complaint of hey, every single robot looks exactly the same when they're punching each other in the first one, like the second one a little bit easier to see, like Okay, that guy's punching that guy. But like they go, they go further down the asshole of of Michael Bay's weird psychotic need for awful comic relief in everything like it's way worse and way crazy bist Transformers. Yeah, all of his, all of his crazy, like Michael Bay's latent racism and misogyny, just bubbles up in really awful, pandering ways. This is trailer for the new one is extra insane because it zooms in our Transformer's eye, and inside there he keeps spinning blades, spinning sharp knife blades. Why would you keep that there? No, that's just what it looks like, what it transforms. I don't know, dude, It's all fucking nuts. It's all bad. And you know, as someone who was who was a you know, means a bit of a Michael Bay apologist. Yeah, even though stuff like I can't there are great Michael Bay movies. These lone of the Transformer movies that I have seen have been These are not them them, these are not them? Like jump? Fuck? Were we talking about Bad Boys three? That question about Bad Boys three? I don't I don't even want Bad Boys three at this point. That's what I said about Bad Boys too, And then that turned out great, So kind of did turn out of me. Yeah, I figured there's no way Bad Boys two could ever be any good. And then guess what, it's fucking awesome, fucking incredible. If that was gonna be bad around the world, then clearly the third one needs to be bad around the universe. And they go to the moon. Lawrence on the Moon. Martin Lawrence on the moon. How how have we not gotten Martin? How has no filmmaker gotten Martin Lawrence to the moon yet? I mean, actually, no, run tell that is that whole scene? Oh? That that that takes place on the moon? Yeah? Okay, how is how is he not signed up for some fucking movie direct to DVD sequel? Yeah? Where it's where it's fucking Big Mama's moon House or I don't know something, Black Night on the Moon. Nobody get Tyler Perry on the phone. We're done. End of everything that's gonna do it. For this week's edition of the Giant Bodcast.
