  • If we know WE can’t be perfect, why do we expect our kids to be?
  • Our kids will come to us with problems if we are calm about it. Don’t be like Ming.
  • The analogy of the Panda- we need to prepare our girls for the changes they will experience with puberty
  • Communication is key! If our kids can’t communicate with us, we can’t understand what they are going through.
  • Avoid the pitfalls of “not my kid!” reactions. Know your child and don’t go on the defense when someone says they are less than perfect.
  • Encouraging our kids to embrace who they truly are- embrace the weirdness!
