DANIEL WIFFEN: FINA World Cup, Loughborough and Swim Ireland

Propulsion Swimming Podcast

We are joined on this week's Propulsion Propulsion Swimming Podcast by Daniel Wiffen!

Daniel trains at Loughborough University under Andi Manley. He represented Ireland at the Tokyo Olympics in the 800 and 1500m Freestyle, a multiple Irish Record holder and recently broke the 15-minute barrier for 1500m Freestyle (Short Course) at the Budapest leg of the FINA World Cup.

We talk about the comparisons with the FINA World Cup swim and ISL, in particular the cost and price money available to athletes, as well as talking about his training in Loughborough and the amazing progress that Swim Ireland has recently undergone under Director of Swimming John Rudd!

Massive thanks to Dan for joining us, especially while in the middle of altitude training camp!
