Overall over it. 00:02:14 Speaker 6: Overall, overall, overall. 00:02:15 Speaker 1: Overall okay, bye, okay, So let's get to our overall thoughts and then will get into the scenes. 00:02:21 Speaker 2: I want to start with Blue first. I'm a virgin. 00:02:25 Speaker 6: You can't know how you do that with what's my first? Say that often? 00:02:28 Speaker 7: But that went That wouldn't mean you went first, So don't worry. 00:02:33 Speaker 2: What happened to talk you through? 00:02:35 Speaker 3: Just the whisper this all right? Blue? Listen, you know what you're here to do? You ready for? You watch that show? 00:02:43 Speaker 7: You know exactly how you feel about everything you know however made you feel, so all you do is got to get up here and say that ship just be natural wherever, let it happen, and just breathe. 00:02:53 Speaker 8: Oh, you're right, nothing in mouth. 00:02:56 Speaker 6: You gotta breathe, and it was out of your mouth first, and relax because if you don't really like it makes it worse and harder. That's true, it hurts more right college, I. 00:03:09 Speaker 9: Mean overall, I will say it felt. 00:03:15 Speaker 8: Like a tame intro. Like I will say this. 00:03:18 Speaker 9: The first thing is Poorscha throwing a couple's dinner at Simon's house with a rental boyfriend was fascinating to me because that man, like I feel like he like it's like a rental boyfriend. 00:03:32 Speaker 6: Like he's been. He's all over the place, the guy from Ready to Love. 00:03:35 Speaker 8: I've seen him several places, and so I'm wondering if that was really her man or not. 00:03:40 Speaker 9: So that was the first peculiar thing. Was what's Mike doing here with his with his broad back all over again? Like he's always somebody's love interest for something, it feels, and he's an actor. He's an IMDb page. I wonder if his name is on his IMDb page. Everybody looked amazing. I think Pinky is the one I related to the most because she was like, y'all nuts, it's gonna be fun. 00:03:58 Speaker 8: That's how I feel like. 00:04:03 Speaker 2: That was my sense to me. 00:04:04 Speaker 6: She's like, God, damn kay Michelle. 00:04:07 Speaker 9: I love her and her dentist husband that she's just married on the fly at the courthouse because I love it when a spicy woman finds a kind man, you know what I mean. 00:04:15 Speaker 6: So I really like that. 00:04:17 Speaker 9: Uh Shamia surprised me because Shamia was a fave last year. But it felt like what you did to Claudia's cousin, It felt like everybody was behaving until she started snapping at Claudia's cousin out to Drew, and poor Drew never knows what's happening, so she's always confused, like who said that? And I will say this Angela. Starting with Angela I think was the perfect start because Angela is Angela should have been in the hospital with Cynthia Ballianini. I've always thought this Angela is a tried and true bona fide perfect hire. Whoever decided to start the entire season with Angela gave me hope that you you're gonna. 00:04:52 Speaker 6: Make sense this season. 00:04:53 Speaker 9: That editing choice of starting with her, saying y'all can say whatever you want to bout my husband. 00:04:56 Speaker 8: I don't care anymore. 00:04:57 Speaker 6: Loved it, loved it, loved it. 00:05:00 Speaker 9: Phago was a little bit inconsequential to me, but overall, I'm very curious about what this season is gonna look like because it felt like it was a standalone like special. Remember when Broba used to have like Candy Goes to Christmas, and it'd be like a standalone special. That dinner party could have been a standalone like. It ain't feel like a pilot. So it gave me enough to know the dynamics, but not enough to know what the hell's about to happen. 00:05:25 Speaker 2: That's the wrong. 00:05:27 Speaker 3: All right. 00:05:28 Speaker 7: So I feel like we're off to the races. Okay, this feels very different from season sixteen. This feels like we have something to work with. 00:05:39 Speaker 3: Okay. I love the fact that in the very first episode. 00:05:42 Speaker 7: Of this season we had a scene with everybody and their significant other ish, you know what I'm saying, And we started off with those dynamics feeling good. The ladies look so beautiful, you know what I'm saying. I feel like we really had something good to start off with. I was cracking up that they had Porsche and Ky Michelle having a conversation about your reputation following you. 00:06:05 Speaker 3: In a negative way. 00:06:06 Speaker 7: I was like, oh, this is hilarious that these are the two people that choose to have this conversation about deleting your past basically, but that was funny, so came. 00:06:15 Speaker 3: Michelle fit in. 00:06:16 Speaker 7: It just felt new to me, the way that watching this season felt, whether you whether the ladies are your favorite or not, this felt all new the way that season sixteen was supposed to feel all new. This felt like we're watching a new version of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. It feels complete, and I'm looking forward to hearing from everybody. I'll just leave it there for now. I'm not saying nothing bad. I'll leave it right there. 00:06:43 Speaker 6: The word complete. 00:06:43 Speaker 8: I love that, That's what I'm saying. 00:06:44 Speaker 9: There was something about it so full and comprehensible, right, Yes, Claudia Jordan. 00:06:51 Speaker 6: I thought I was a little boring, Like by the time, Yeah, by the end the show, I'm like, wait, it's over already, and I'm like, what happened on the show? There was two different parties going on and then and the one party that he finally got over there Smia came in hot. Cynthia looked great. Angela's body is ridiculous, like my goodness, and she looks so natural, like her body is like so sent tall and lean and just I love her body. Came to show, was funny. I think she's gonna be great on the show Phasier and none of her jokes were hitting, like she lost that thing that she used to have. That just came so natural. I think it came like it's like if someone's a good comedian, right and then they go host a radio show, like and he's like, damn, they suck on the radio, but they but they were so good on stage, like she was so good before, but now I'm just like the jokes that corny as hell. I think she's coming off corny. I always have yeah, yeah, I was never a fan Porscha's man, he's a two B actor ready for love Country Wayne skits where there's a skit Weeg comes up saying he's gonna go on half Lives or a thing. It would have been cool if it was real, but Porscha kind of put a kind of I don't know if she realized it, well, probably when she saw the show, but she said that they haven't messed around for like nine months, and then they met and started talking before during COVID when she met Simon, like that's when that was all goes a lot of like cross pollination going on there, so she's kind of telling on herself. Again, it was obvious that wasn't her, dude, the way she kissed him. I kissed I kissed the fan more passionately than that. Okay, yeah, I kissed my cat. It was like, not a fan. She kissed that man on the mouth the way I imagine Carlos kissing the titty. Okay, so I really want that. It gave like. 00:08:48 Speaker 8: Just she was like the tip a little bit and ran off behind. 00:08:51 Speaker 6: It was all. It was all tip, no shaft, shaft, you know it was it was nothing and it was and shafts no one, no shaft, nonaff there was a shaftless. It was just tip. So it didn't give. But she looked great. A lot of hard titties though, a lot of the titties look really really hard. Yeah, the body parts look new. I need the lady to just be careful with that because you're all beautiful. Don't go like the wilder white women do Okay, y'all need it that it's too getting to the point where it's like it's very hard. It doesn't like it's very looks like a breastplate. It looked like the titties that Christy Nomes's husband had on some of them, some of them. 00:09:29 Speaker 3: Don't give me, please, don't give me started. 00:09:34 Speaker 6: Piggy seems fun. She's with the ships, but like it seems Pinky came in the way people come in that are not measured and coming with an agenda. She came in like, oh shit, oh wait, this is really I like a lot. I like that. I like that she didn't come in there with like I'm gonna be like this, I'm gonna control the seat she's coming and like I'm in real time learning this like y'all are. And I like that. I love Angela and Charles Barkley's relationship, but I feel like I always leave his scenes like like this scenes like damn, Charles, I want you to have her back. It's a little bit more. And the funny thing about the show, the funniest thing the goddamn ghosts of Simon god Chef's kiss. Please do more of that, Please do more of that? And people. You know what. I know, y'all expect me to hate on Porsche, and I trust me, we have many episodes for me to do that. But I think it's bold as ship and good reality TV to have a party with a new dude in the house. You just gangs it from something. I'm not mad at it. I'm giving you a golf clap. I liked it. I'm not mad at it. That's good TV, all right. 00:10:40 Speaker 2: Okay, So guys are going to get into the specific So. 00:10:44 Speaker 6: Charles, sorry, Charles Barkley is the CTE. 00:10:54 Speaker 2: Okay. 00:10:56 Speaker 1: I thought it was a solid start. I thought like, okay, we get to see I thought the stage was set for us to come like, okay, this is who we have and there's more to be desired, right. I thought it was solid. I'll say this. What I thought was missing for the first episode was personal story, and I thought the party was way too long. 00:11:32 Speaker 2: It was dominated the episode, and I've been thinking it had to. 00:11:35 Speaker 1: I don't think the party was enough for it to be thirty minutes of a forty two minute premiere. I would have preferred to see Kay Michelle with her husband and seeing why she's a housewife, like she's the talk of the town. 00:11:52 Speaker 2: She's somebody we're familiar with. You know, there's been tons. 00:11:55 Speaker 1: Of conversations about help, whether or not she belongs on the show, what is she going to do? 00:12:00 Speaker 2: Differently? 00:12:01 Speaker 1: To see ky Michelle's opening scene be a photo shoot wasn't to me. It wasn't the best setup to this iconic reality star that we know from Love and Hip Hop. 00:12:15 Speaker 2: I would have preferred to. 00:12:16 Speaker 1: See kay Michelle being introduced to a different audience as well, showing her talent. 00:12:23 Speaker 2: This woman can yodel, like, this woman can really sing. 00:12:26 Speaker 1: I would have preferred to see her with her husband and so that we can fall. 00:12:30 Speaker 2: In love with her. 00:12:31 Speaker 1: The reason why I loved and I'm not going to compare her because every season is different. I gave last season premiere a ten out of ten out of a ten because to see Shaniyah. 00:12:44 Speaker 2: Once again who we were. We knew about her, Okay, you're poorgious friend. 00:12:49 Speaker 1: We don't know some once we saw how she lived at her home and her child, and we were she wasn't fan favorite immediately because we were able to be like, oh I this is oh ship. I didn't a cat like that I thought came Michelle deserved that same sort of setup. 00:13:08 Speaker 6: I have a question. 00:13:09 Speaker 3: I agree, I have a question about that. 00:13:12 Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought Michelle deserved that. I'm gonna tell you a little again. I got your baby. 00:13:16 Speaker 1: I thought came Michelle deserved that set up. To see her in the photo shoot, I was like, it was, it was. It was underwhelming for me, like a photo shoot. Let me tell you all the things that asked. 00:13:27 Speaker 2: I'll speak for myself. 00:13:28 Speaker 1: Child Carlos king no no to his producing scene. I hate a nail Solange scene. 00:13:36 Speaker 6: You gave me one on Housewives. 00:13:38 Speaker 2: Oh terrible. 00:13:40 Speaker 6: It was with Demetria and when you didn't really even show the feet because. 00:13:43 Speaker 1: Your feet, your feet was part of the joke, honey. 00:13:47 Speaker 6: I yeah, yeah, I hate. 00:13:52 Speaker 2: A photo shoot for the sake of a photo shoot, right, you. 00:13:57 Speaker 6: Sent me to a photo shoot. 00:13:58 Speaker 8: I don't want to stop. 00:14:03 Speaker 6: He wasn't really fun. What else do you hate? 00:14:07 Speaker 3: Listen? 00:14:10 Speaker 2: First of all, I was ten years ago. 00:14:12 Speaker 6: You hate too. He probably does. Look at him. 00:14:16 Speaker 2: I love Oh. 00:14:17 Speaker 6: I hated my racial story. 00:14:21 Speaker 1: By the way, if but I said this up a topic. I hate shopping scenes where you don't buy, no shop. 00:14:28 Speaker 9: Can you Carlotta stop your head, please stop. 00:14:33 Speaker 2: Please stop? 00:14:34 Speaker 1: No, so so anyway, I felt that to say, the reason why I was saying it was it was a solid premiere. I thought. I thought kay Michelle deserved more more, Like, give this girl show her singing so that the audience who doesn't know her can walk away saying, so that's what she does, and then I'm gonna get the pinky, and then we. 00:14:57 Speaker 2: Were gonna talk about the specifics U. I would have also. 00:15:01 Speaker 1: Loved to see Pinky in her natural habitat Pinky, to me, is such a powerful woman that to hear her say it is one. 00:15:12 Speaker 2: Thing, but I want to see it. I want to I would. I would have loved to see her at work, hustling and bustle. 00:15:19 Speaker 1: Her husband is as equally powerful as as as she is. Let's see this power couple. Let's let's see them at work and doing all these things. So to see her for the first time walking into MEA's house, I was like, And then to hear her say do this, I do that, and this is not her fault. I felt bad for Pinky because we now know what she's going through professionally following bankruptcy. 00:15:47 Speaker 2: There's a difference, guys. Now, personal bankruptcy is business bankruptcy. 00:15:52 Speaker 1: I thought, damn, it is sawt of lessen the blow right in terms of what a boss she is, and not saying that bankruptcy discredits anybody, because our president filed several times for business bankruptcy, so it doesn't mean anything. 00:16:10 Speaker 2: About your what she's able to do. 00:16:13 Speaker 1: But my point is I also thought, like hearing her say it fell on death ears because we see stuff in the blaws, we see her making skits, and I thought Pinky also deserved a better intro, and I would have preferred to see that didn't give me the party. 00:16:31 Speaker 2: But that's my overall thoughts, and that's why go ahead. 00:16:35 Speaker 3: Doesn't it glue? Blue? I'm sorry, go first, because you had a question, Baby, go ahead? 00:16:39 Speaker 8: Yeah. 00:16:40 Speaker 9: I actually I liked the premiere for all the reasons that you didn't like it, and for the perfect example, right when you meet somebody who's amazing and they over promised and don't deliver, it goes from here and it plummets, which is what last season did. Last season, in my opinion, gave us so many promises that were not kept. They front loaded all the episodes where the first half of the season was so TICKI Tiki boom, and then it kind of filtered off, and it was by the time they just showed up, nobody gave a damn right, and so I felt like last season did so much in the pilot, the rest of the season struggled to keep that momentum, which is why I was happy that what they did this season, in my opinion, was gave us a key code of all the characters they sipped on it. I think the pacing is different intentionally because last year was such a disappointment, were rather than us doing tiki tiki boom immediately, they wanted you to see all the people in the end, their couples, see their relationships and how they're intermingle, because I suspect that ky, Michelle and Pinky might take over this season later, and so it almost felt like a democratic way of let me let you know who all the players are and how they intermingle. So when this shit takes off an episode three or four and we're seeing Drew and Kye, Michelle and Pinky and whoever else go tiki Tiki boom and that takes over the rest of the season, you at least know who all the players are. I prefer this pacing. I actually like to meet a man looking homeless, like it when men meet me looking crazy and homeless, and then I show up like this, like hey, what's up darling? 00:18:05 Speaker 6: Right, because you don't see it coming. 00:18:06 Speaker 9: And so I think the audience realizing what a big deal Pinky is later to me feels more sexy intili lady. 00:18:13 Speaker 1: But the thing is this, Okay, So I'm going to disagree with you only because and I hear it just saying and I and I and I love the fact that we're able to talk about the nuance of it. As a producer, It's one of those things where you never want to assume your audience is coming back for episode two, right, And that's why for me and and I listen and I would love to hear from doesn't quality too? When I say to you, I was obsessed with last season premiere because I thought for a soft reboot where the only ones we knew was Portion and Kenya, and we met We met four new girls, right, Britt, Kelly, Shemiah and Angela. 00:18:56 Speaker 6: Angela. 00:18:57 Speaker 1: Yes, I felt that that one episod so made me aware of everybody. But I will say this, the smart thing they did last season was slowly give us Angela. So that's why I hear what you're saying for sure. Yeah again, I'm saying this. The episode was solid. I would have preferred that Kam and Sham Pinky being new let me know who they are, versus meeting them at a party giving commentary on everyone else's situation mention Angela. 00:19:26 Speaker 9: I think because I fell in love with Angela, I feel like we're gonna fall in love with or watch things blossom in a way that might make I want the pilot to not be the best episode of any sort that I watch. I don't like shows with the pilot is the best thing, and that last year the pilot was the best episode in my opinion. You know, let me tell you, there was a point where they almost lost me forever by the time, by the time Kenya left and all that other stuff happened, I was like, they almost lost me in the middle of the season. I almost feel like this year's going to be a grower, not a shower, and I like a grower, not a show. 00:19:57 Speaker 2: This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show. 00:20:04 Speaker 6: Well, I think that it's better to lose them halfway than to start off with a dud. And I feel like, okay. In radio, right, they say get to the point fast and hook them so at least have them back for the next episode. So I hear what y'all both saying, and it's definitely valid points of course, which is both saying. But like I'm seeing some people in common saying no, I already feel like I'm checked out now. I did notice with this episode. I was like last season, I was locked in. I didn't get it from my couch the entire time watching it. This time when it was playing, I got out, went to the front when got me some dark chocolate in the in the pantry, I opened the door, he'd be in the pantry, not yet, but hopefully soon will bring them back. 00:20:45 Speaker 9: I'm sorry, I believe in came Michelle too much, like I believe she will bring you back into the room. 00:20:49 Speaker 3: I know there was a missed opportunity. Here'll so much on like what she. 00:20:54 Speaker 6: May have made out Like I feel like, okay, they missed major opportunities Ky Michelle and Pinky being sorority sisters right, like make a big gill out of it, Like I feel like they could have made it more exciting, like I watch it like, oh, that's it. Oh all we saw was a party, really like, we didn't really see anything except a long ass party. 00:21:14 Speaker 7: That was First of all, their new cast members, Kayma Sheell and Pinky called are new to the show. They have to be established and give us a starting point for us to follow the story. And the missed opportunity here was that they both have dynamic personal stories. 00:21:29 Speaker 3: I'm with Carlos one hundred percent on this one. 00:21:31 Speaker 7: Kay Michelle should have had an entrance scene that we remember, remember how Garsell got that on Beverly Hills, or she walked in in that black and white shit. 00:21:39 Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. 00:21:40 Speaker 7: We should have had an entrance scene for kay Michelle. Pinky Cole literally has a business empire. We should have been in her stores, and we should have seen both of them at home. 00:21:49 Speaker 3: We should have been introduced to both of their husbands in the kitchen. We should have had a kitchen scene. You know what I'm saying. 00:21:54 Speaker 7: We should have established them because now we got to play ketch up and hitch our wagon to the hope that there's interest. Because people are previously aware of other shit that they've done, especially in k Michelle's case, because she is using this as a reset. She talked in the first episode about wanting to be seen differently than she's been seen previously on TV, and we missed an opportunity to firmly establish that by showing her in a miscellaneous studio behind green walls. 00:22:23 Speaker 3: So I'm actually with Carlos on this. 00:22:25 Speaker 7: One hundred percent came and Shechelle deserved better, and to be quite honest, Pinky col did too. Those packages should have been stronger. 00:22:32 Speaker 6: And don't assume that everyone not you guys, but they don't assume that everyone knows who came and showing Pinky col are there's white women who've never heard of cam and Sell and Pinky Cole. You know they haven't seen them. And so like, I remember back when, Carlos, when you were in a producer the packages to intro a new person, like you're showing photo shoots things that they did at work. I remember my package. I was like, damn, maybe look bigger than I would like. That's what you do, Like you have to like introduce some it's some kind of a razzle dazzle, and I just feel like. 00:23:04 Speaker 9: Is always a razzle dazzle, and she said that she's to know who she is. You know, I know she she is, but I'm saying she made a point of saying repeatedly that she is tired of being seen as this one thing, And a part of me wonders if that's informing the reason why we didn't get what we were expect those of us who do know ky Michelle the that we're expecting. I'm gonna be honest, I'm a funny girl. Sometimes I'm tired of the yuck yuck. Sometimes I don't want because I feel like I'm being turned. 00:23:30 Speaker 6: Into a clown. 00:23:31 Speaker 9: Right when you're always known in a certain way, and this is an opportunity for you to be in Atlanta, the place where you're being known that way has broken your heart repeatedly, you might actually want to get a chance to do a reset. I might not actually want those white ladies to see me the way that you guys are expecting. I might actually want them to see me like a regular human being interacting and then see my story envelope. 00:23:53 Speaker 6: And so ky Michelle's. 00:23:54 Speaker 9: Reputation preceding her might actually be why she wanted something that was a softer land to start off with. 00:24:00 Speaker 6: Well get that. But there wasn't even a package. There wasn't even like it was like just a sackage. He showed up at a party. Oh who's cam Mischelle. Now they got to go Google and now they are going to go see the stuff that she didn't want them to see, as opposed to introducing her, launching her with the better intro businesswoman, singer, newly married, newly weed. They don't have to even mention the love and hip hop stuff. They could show her in the studio. They could show her getting an award. They could have shown her she's done. 00:24:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, Cay Michelle has done so much outside of love and hip hop. 00:24:29 Speaker 1: That and and that's the reason why I listen. I just wanted because again and and and what I will say is because we know what people were saying before we saw the episode. I personally, and maybe it's personal, it ain't. I was because I'm like, no, it's just me being a viewer. I wanted to see this country singer blow the socks off of a new audience who has never heard of her. 00:25:05 Speaker 2: I never assume people heard of me. 00:25:07 Speaker 1: I don't walk into rooms thinking everyone knows me, So I never I never come in with trying to be eating more but myself. 00:25:15 Speaker 2: But that's why I shake hands. 00:25:16 Speaker 1: I introduce myself because I want to meet I want people to meet me for the first time as who I am, and again I thought of a solid My only notes were I wanted more personal story and listen. 00:25:32 Speaker 2: I'm gonna keeping a buck with this one. And lets let's get into it. Let's get to the episode. First of all, Porscha's situation with Simon. 00:25:42 Speaker 1: I will agree with you guys one thousand percent that Simon goes was the best part of the episode. 00:25:48 Speaker 5: It was. 00:25:49 Speaker 6: It was. 00:25:50 Speaker 2: It was genius to see him walk near her. 00:25:54 Speaker 8: Simon got a package, his ghoals got a package. 00:25:56 Speaker 9: It was. 00:25:57 Speaker 2: It was amazing. 00:25:58 Speaker 1: With that being said, if you're gonna give me that which I love and I want more of that fell off the season. 00:26:07 Speaker 2: Let me understand where Porsche is right now in that situation. 00:26:12 Speaker 6: Yes, the producing wasn't good. I'm sorry. They need you back then. Producing it was not like it wasn't good. The producing of it wasn't good. The girls are great, but the producing was lackluster. I'm sorry. 00:26:23 Speaker 9: She was the start to me to me in this for some reason, for some reason, it felt like Porscha's episode rather than the New girls. 00:26:30 Speaker 3: That damn dress. She looked good as the amazing but. 00:26:34 Speaker 1: See that, and that's why for me, I would never have given Porsche's party the entire episode. 00:26:41 Speaker 2: Because Porsche has been on for twelve seasons. She missed too. 00:26:45 Speaker 1: The audience knows her. Porscha is the face of the guys. We gotta keep it a buck. Porsche is the face of a land of housewife today. Today she is yeah right, we can give her that. 00:26:58 Speaker 2: We know who she is, and we live and we standing with all those things. 00:27:02 Speaker 1: We have two new housewives, give give give them some airtime that they deserve. 00:27:09 Speaker 2: And and then with Porsche, Porsche is your star. All we knew last season. 00:27:14 Speaker 1: Was the the the the gravity of what this woman went through with Simon, and I would have loved for her to say in verarite and verite for the for the audience. Man, I know that that means in scene. I would love what Porsche is saying scene, whether it's with Dennis, whether it's with. 00:27:32 Speaker 2: Her mom or whomever. 00:27:33 Speaker 1: Like I survived hell last year and guess what I'm gonaday women, men, anybody like I'm ready to day, so that so that in port listen, I'm gonna say it and and whatever, so that when we do see this man who has been a reality television and acting and all that stuff. If Porscha would have said, in a scene with her mom and and her mama, Diana and Lauren, I went through hell last year, a bitch of single child, may day women, a man I'm dating whoever I want to so that when we see when we see the mystery of her day walking to the doors, as a viewer. 00:28:17 Speaker 2: Out of the like, man is it a woman? 00:28:19 Speaker 6: Is a man? 00:28:20 Speaker 3: A woman? 00:28:21 Speaker 1: And then when he walked in, I would have said, okay, for bitch, we would not understand this ain't this ain't for a long time. 00:28:28 Speaker 6: It's for this time. 00:28:30 Speaker 8: Yeah. 00:28:30 Speaker 3: There was no setup, and again it just missed it. It missed. 00:28:33 Speaker 7: It made everything feel miscellaneous, even though the show felt complete with the cast, everything was kind of just thrown at us in this episode. Now that we're actually breaking it down, they should have introduced Pinky an episode two, given everybody an episode one formal package and seeing everybody at the crib type shit. We could have still had an all cast, but we could have just had Pinky show up and maybe not be Mike per Se or give any confessionals, would just be at the dinner then introduce her formerly in the next episode. 00:29:06 Speaker 3: But we ain't producing this show. 00:29:07 Speaker 9: I have an epiphany from what Dustin just said and what Carlos just said. I feel like the reason why I'm okay with the pilot episode of this season is because it feels like the end of last. 00:29:20 Speaker 6: Season that we didn't get. 00:29:22 Speaker 9: There was something about how last season fizzled out at the end with a random person making an accusation from that was legend fa it ended so bad. This actually feels like the ending that last season needed, and for me, it's almost like next episode it's going to be when we get all the stuff. And so that's why it felt complete to me, because it felt like it was tying up a bunch of weird loose even the Shamia and Porscha friendship, like it felt like all the loose ends from last year that kind of were left like strangled, got tied up neatly in a way that could have been boring to Claudia's point, but they're tied up. We know who the new players are, and then next episode it takes off. That's what I'm hoping is that happening. 00:30:00 Speaker 6: To me, it seems like such an easy It should have been an easy episode to produce, like what Carlo said, also have a quick scene with Porscha, Lauren and a mom where she's like, I'm thinking about having other girls over to the house and have a mix there a couple of seconds and they could be like, wait what you just like this? 00:30:16 Speaker 2: You just got out of this marriage. 00:30:18 Speaker 6: They could have built it up a little bit where it's like a whole thing, like a struggle, like make that be a thing. And then they kept commenting on how dope our house was. They didn't even show it all yes, like like we know the house is off the chain and super show it like they're like, oh, what a beautiful home. We saw one room. Show that shit, like build it up and make it larger than life, Like I think that's like an easy thing they could have done. And then the anxiety of we don't know where Porscha and Shamia left off, like said that you know to me is like saying how their conversation was so hostile on the phone, Like I would have built that more of like I don't really know if I want to go and fuck with it like that, like they should have built that up, like build something up. 00:30:56 Speaker 3: Should have been way more dramatic, way more dramatic. 00:30:59 Speaker 6: We better produs. I'm sorry, y'all need to hire us producers. 00:31:05 Speaker 1: No, but the thing is that the thing is this, And I will say this when you're doing a first episode, well all episodes, but as a producer, I will say this, there are so many cooks in the kitchen of my first episode. I can't tell y'all how many times an episode for the premiere is one way, we submit it and it changes and it goes back and forth. 00:31:27 Speaker 2: So listen, I think at the end of the day it was solid. It was for I'll speak for myself. For me, it was strong enough that I'm coming back. 00:31:36 Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure. 00:31:38 Speaker 1: I do want to ask y'all this though, What did y'all think of Shmiah and Kelly's capital b FF friendship. 00:31:49 Speaker 3: I want to start with Dustin feel forced you know what I'm saying. 00:31:53 Speaker 7: I think they actually well we see them together off camera all the time, so they definitely fuck with each other. But the constant and mentioning and making note of the fact that they hold this place in each other's life felt a bit forced and fake a little bit, you know what I'm saying. It felt like an alliance, That's what it felt like. But they actually do, we know based on social media and shit like that, that they actually do. They are friends in real life. They actually hang out, travel all the time together, so it's not fake. 00:32:20 Speaker 3: But it felt that way. And what the hell was up with that basket that Shemia put together for Kelly's daughter? 00:32:27 Speaker 7: The way I would have cussed her ass out in that room, I would have give a damn whose house we was in giving my college age daughter. 00:32:33 Speaker 3: A basket with goddamn rubbers and champagne and shit in it? What the fuck kind of shit did you all? 00:32:39 Speaker 6: I hate it? 00:32:40 Speaker 2: I absolutely I would. 00:32:41 Speaker 7: To cushed Smia the fuck out, would love but cussed her ass out, you know what I'm saying, and threw the basket across the damn room. 00:32:49 Speaker 6: They bought it over a trauma. 00:32:50 Speaker 9: I think the trauma bonded because I feel like, if you think about it, Shamiah and. 00:32:55 Speaker 6: Uh, what's the little one's name for hell? 00:32:58 Speaker 2: So cute? 00:32:58 Speaker 6: She's so cute, Like. 00:32:59 Speaker 9: Little Kelly and Shamier are the first wife's club. They are the discarded with by friends of two women from previous seasons, because last year was Kelly and Britt who were bff's, and it was. 00:33:09 Speaker 8: Shamia and Portie. 00:33:10 Speaker 9: So it feels like they both got rejected or betrayed and then clung to each other in a storm and their friendship. I don't really need to see too much more of it, respectfully, like it was. It's cute, but it doesn't feel like something I'm invested in. 00:33:23 Speaker 8: I do think that Shamia's response to. 00:33:28 Speaker 9: Uh Drew, that's the moment when I was like, oh, am, I gonna still like you this season, because it felt like everybody was behaving to Claude Won about being born. Everybody was behaving at the dinner table, even Kate Michelle was behaving, even though her and Charles Oakley were acting like Peter Anini from back in the day. I saw a couple of memes about how the way that kame Michelle key Key's with Charles. They're both with the shits. I hope that for I care more about Kate, Michelle and Charles's friendship than Shamia and Kelly, respectfully, right, But it felt a little bit odd and Shamia's weird is towards Drew. Smia sometimes asks for the camera, and I enjoyed it last year because that first episode was so we all fell in love with Shemid in the first episode last season, right, I'm more of the thing that Andy warned Stacy about is actually what might actually happen to Shemia instead, when Andy was like, when you're the fave, don't let it go to your head and be on some weirdness. I just hope that she doesn't make being shady towards Porsiche like her entire existence and start doing things that makes me rep portion instead of her. 00:34:31 Speaker 8: So Shemia, I'm on the fence about her. She was my favorite last season. I'm not sure she'd be my favorite this season. 00:34:35 Speaker 6: I know Drew gets a bad rap. 00:34:37 Speaker 9: I'm actually more excited about seeing how Drew goes toe to toe with k Michelle because k Michelle is formidable, but so is Drew. People always count Drew out and she always makes it. I want to see how she survived the Kay Michelle store. 00:34:48 Speaker 7: Why having a fight all the time though it's other shit. That's why I was so just wanted to learn that Ky Michelle and Drew had a conflict later on in the season because I would have rather seen that ener directed elsewhere. But things happen the way they happened. Drew and Shamia both was throwing shots at that entire dinner. I can't even remember who started it first. I was watching to also see the origin story of the Kymachelle versus Drew beef, and even though they were both throwing shots in their confessionals when in ca Michelle's first scene when she was with Porsche, she did make a face when Drew's name was brought up. 00:35:25 Speaker 3: I don't know what happened prior to that. I don't know. 00:35:27 Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know what order they shot it in or none of that shit. So I don't know if that was motivated by something that happened earlier. But that was the first thing that I saw that indicated a problem between the two of them, So I don't know. I just with to me, it's a lazy it's a lazy play to beef with Drew on this show. 00:35:45 Speaker 6: And sometimes the one sided beef starts off because you have little conversations with other people that are on the show and you kind of be like, you know, we can just you know, those you give them ammunition to like kind of go at someone because I'm like, what was the relationship between like, you know, and came Michelle to have that and it seemed cordial at the dinner. I hope Samia uses this opportunity as a redemption because we loved her in the beginning of last season, and towards the end everybody was like really mad at her and they were disappointed. And then she gave that you know that that infomercial she did or that YouTube video she did where we were like, oh, and I doing it me, honey, and trust me. I'd like to me, I want her to win. So it's like, oh, you didn't. I was like, no, don't do that. No, No, that's that's a no. No. 00:36:30 Speaker 9: That's the bus though, that's the b the three girls who singing. I think that's that was an interesting statement from Charles Oakley. 00:36:35 Speaker 1: Yeah, And. 00:36:38 Speaker 6: I just don't want them to like to make the same mistakes as last season, like, you know, get out of that, get out of that, you know, and you know, when you're at dinner with people and then someone just goes from zero to one hundred real quick, You're like whoa, wait a minute, What did I miss here? Like he's messed up the whole vibe of the dinner. That's what I thought about the hot shamir thing with Drew. 00:36:55 Speaker 7: I get there too, but I would have checked Drew too. I ain't even gonna hold you if you call asked me what my husband is at? 00:37:01 Speaker 3: Why he not here? 00:37:02 Speaker 7: That was an open invitation to get in checked because it's a very pointed question, you know what I'm saying, right, I guess I look at. 00:37:11 Speaker 6: It a little bit differently because I'm like, I know, sometimes the producers be behind the other person's head with the phone saying it, and that happens. So I don't really charge them with that big of a charge when I know that about explain that? What do you mean? So teach me? 00:37:27 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:37:28 Speaker 6: Okay, So Love and Hip Hop Season. The second half of the season's coming out on the eighth. Okay, so on this second half, I'm really turning up. And there's some things where you're just in a senior in the moment and you're just doing your thing, You're having your real moment. But then if the producer's like, Okay, we need this to go a little bit up. Sorry, I'm giving y'all some of this information. Carlos doesn't do this, though. The producers will type in bold letters and say, make sure you ask where her husband is, and they'll hold the phone up so it'll be behind that you're you know, the person you're talking to that they give you eat. So maybe Drew doesn't even want to be messy, but her producer, her producers, like, I. 00:38:07 Speaker 2: Know, first of all, clau is not lying. That does happen. 00:38:10 Speaker 1: But I don't think that was I don't I think that particular example, I don't think that happened to Drew. 00:38:19 Speaker 6: I just did her job when she's supposed to, like, see, she's staring it. 00:38:22 Speaker 3: Up there you go. 00:38:24 Speaker 2: I think, listen, she's supposed. 00:38:25 Speaker 6: To say that she's married. Wasn't there last season? She's supposed to ask. 00:38:29 Speaker 3: Yeah, just like she's supposed to get checked for that too. You know what? 00:38:38 Speaker 6: And SMI I got it? 00:38:39 Speaker 2: Okay, reactive, I do. 00:38:43 Speaker 3: I do want to. 00:38:44 Speaker 6: I want to. 00:38:46 Speaker 2: I want to comment on and Kelly's virgining friendship. 00:38:50 Speaker 1: Look what I can say is in real life, like Dustin said, they are best friends. I I also understand and and the reason why I know this is because obviously it's Atlanta. 00:39:03 Speaker 2: I know the girls, so I do know they have a real friendship. 00:39:06 Speaker 1: Now, if I remove me being Carlos King, who knows these girls, I understand why the audience they're not believe in it, And I think the honesty is the fact that, look, it's because for women over forty to have a best friend you met a year ago and y'all are that tight. 00:39:31 Speaker 2: I understand why that does seem to be unbelievable. 00:39:35 Speaker 1: And I also understand why, like Blue said, people look at that as they're trauma bonding over their disdain for Portia. 00:39:42 Speaker 2: I get all of that. I illogically understand it. I logically can I get it. 00:39:49 Speaker 1: I do want to say though, they do have a real friendship outside of the show. 00:39:55 Speaker 2: But I do think it was the Capital b FF. 00:40:01 Speaker 1: I think rubbed a lot of viewers the wrong way because it was sort of like a dish to Porsche, and. 00:40:11 Speaker 2: That that's something that they're going to have to explain eventually. 00:40:14 Speaker 6: That was a production choice. That was a production choice. They did like that that could have been rolled out differently, so you won't hate it so much. So you said it, but she said it right, but I'm saying, like we Okay, if you just got to watching Housewives yesterday and you don't follow social media and all that kind of stuff, you wouldn't know that they actually are really good friends. You think this is mad, fake, this is annoying as hell, and she's saying it just to get onto Porscha's skin when really they are putting in the time in real life. That's what I'm saying, Let's be real. 00:40:44 Speaker 2: I think two things can be true, and I'm not mad at this. 00:40:47 Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they are best friends and also think saying the capitol bff was also dig of course, Yeah, I think both can be true. 00:40:55 Speaker 3: For sure. 00:40:56 Speaker 9: I'm the Shemiah in this where I had a best friend for years, we are no longer best friends, and now me and Bridget are like this like it's rare that I'm doing the show and Bridges not in the back room. 00:41:07 Speaker 6: Right. 00:41:07 Speaker 9: I still don't go around calling her my BFF because I know there's thirty years of somebody knowing somebody else is my BFF and they might feel like a dig. 00:41:16 Speaker 6: And that's in real life. 00:41:17 Speaker 9: That's what no cameras I recognize that that word blue and somebody else was attached to that word, and so I don't call her that because it would feel funny and it would feel like I was taking a dig at him. So if I know that in real life and you have a whole camera crew in front of you, I'm sorry. I think it's both things. I think they're actually BFFs, but I think the choice was also a dig. And I'm saying that somebody in this situation. 00:41:39 Speaker 6: That's why I call it it. I call like four people my five people, my best friends. So then if you see me with the other one and you don't think I'm being a fake bite, I've been saying it's at least four or five people. 00:41:48 Speaker 1: And also think then when we learn, based on Shamia miming that Porsa had a nasty exchange after the reunion, because Shamiah said, although she was obviously their president after reunion, she watched it and she heard things. 00:42:07 Speaker 2: Porscha said that she didn't clock in the moment, and she said. 00:42:11 Speaker 1: That her and Porsche had a very nasty exchange towards each other, Which is why I understand once again why people really just don't believe this friendship is based on we just happened to be. You know, we have a lot of comment versus I don't have my best friend of thirty years anymore. And it ain't Angela Oakley, it ain't Drew, it ain't Faedra, Cynthia's cool, brit gone, Kenny's gone, Hey, you want to be my best friend? 00:42:48 Speaker 2: So I understand why people will say that. 00:42:51 Speaker 7: Well, I think that if Shamiah had walked in Porscha's house with a stank ass attitude and sat down at the table, and while they were talking at the table, ben when somebody asked or what was wrong, been like, I just want to know why I'm here, Porsche, you know what the fuck we just texted about, then we would have had a. 00:43:06 Speaker 3: Show on our hands, you know what I'm saying. 00:43:08 Speaker 7: So the following, the energy thing that Shamia is doing is what she needs to stop doing. You spend a whole season explaining your behavior, why you move one step behind Porsche to protect your friendship or whatever, and look where that got you. Shamillah walked in that dinner looking her body looked incredible. 00:43:27 Speaker 3: Shemia as far, she looked good as fuck. She came in at dinner. 00:43:31 Speaker 7: She should have she should have had an attitude and sat down at that table and demanded some answers from Porsche. That excuse of what's between me and Shamia is between us, and I'm not gonna answer you. 00:43:42 Speaker 3: Kelly. 00:43:43 Speaker 7: That should not have flown. And I don't know why anybody on that couch let that fly. That is something that should have been interrupted, to say the least. So I think that's where we missed the mark, you know. And maybe Shamiah can only be herself, so her reaction was what she naturally felt inclined to do. I just wish she would have woke that dinner up with the real situation. 00:44:04 Speaker 2: I never thought about that. 00:44:07 Speaker 1: I actually you're right, it would have been nice for because the thing is this, I do, in the words of Claudia Jordan, Hey producers, if I if I if I can kind of see what the producers were doing, and I'm not mad at it. I do think they all have to say, because I deal with this on Bell Collective and Huntsville, where the cast is so disjointed that you don't want to start this season off in a bad place because you want everybody to go to this all cast. 00:44:41 Speaker 6: I do. 00:44:42 Speaker 2: But to your point, though, but to your point. 00:44:45 Speaker 1: I do understand your point. In the sense of Shemiah could have said, I'm gonna show up. I'm gonna go, but I gotta talk to her. I would have showed it up and be like this would have been me, Hey, hey, I'm outside, pornscha y'all, can you can pin you meet me at the door? 00:45:08 Speaker 2: Horse me up the door. Hey, so before I go into your house, that's her sanctuary. 00:45:12 Speaker 3: Yeah. Now, in the same vein loss as when Boles. 00:45:19 Speaker 7: Was introduced on Beverly Hills and dar Reed had a stank ass attitude in that big circular hat and she went she she let Kyle ass have it at that party and it established their few for the season. 00:45:33 Speaker 3: That's all we needed from Shemia, Shmi. I gotta get some respect. 00:45:36 Speaker 7: The viewers are having trouble respecting her in her conflict with Porsche because she's being a doormat and we're tired of seeing that. Shemiah stand up for yourself, baby, That's why the BFF I think. 00:45:46 Speaker 9: I think you're just showing her character right, because your character is what makes us believe you or not. If you're the kind of person who's gonna talk big ship. But act in a way that we might see as cowardly when you're in the lady's face, and I'm going to be honest, is it possible that they did bond over Smia and Porscha not being cool and became real BFFs. Yes, like we're putting the chicken before the egg. I know people who bond over having a shared enemy, and so in my mind, I don't think the audience got it wrong just because they hang out in real life. Because Sharia's character is a little cowardly, and that's why she's starting to lose me in the same way that Stacy got us on her team because she was not a coward. I think when it comes to reality TV, cowards don't fare well with the audience. If you talk big shit in the confessional Angel, but then face to face it's all kissy, kissy, kissy with your mohawk. But then suddenly you want to be barking at Drew. That ebbing and flowing feels like it feels weird, It feels disjointed. And I will say this too, I pray to God that Shamia and Porsche actually have a real conversation in front of us, because can we be honest. Sometimes people are scared of their friends. I think I think people are scared of Porscha the same way. Some of the girls are skintish Zelle and the whole episode felt like a Kiss the Ring pilot to me. 00:47:02 Speaker 6: And it's uncomfortable to fight in front of the world, in front of someone that you are running up behind, and you were good friends with, and of course even with people that you really like. You not fucking right now, but you did love for a long time. Like I have someone that I fell out with recently, and some days I have my days when I'm like, damn, I missed that person, which you didn't mess up on me, but I missed that person, but you were disloyal. It's not like a cut and dry, black and white thing. But I nobody likes and if I can, we can give Shemiah any advice, just like to Angel if she ever comes back. Nobody likes a confessional gangster when you were in the gang. When you're in the confessionals and you talk in big ship, but then when you see the person every time we get the first time, maybe like a little bit like let me fill it out. I don't want to be the one to instigate it, because honestly, Smida was kind of damned that she do Damned she don't. She came in, Oh, she came in too hot. She's doing too much, because that's why. 00:47:51 Speaker 8: She was minding Claudia. That's a gangster. 00:47:53 Speaker 9: How you mind me? 00:47:53 Speaker 6: But then you want to kiss the ring? Okay, so if you come in too hot, we're gonna say she was coming too hot, and she can oh, she ain't doing enough. 00:48:02 Speaker 3: And they still said she came in too hot because of how she was engaging. 00:48:05 Speaker 2: We drew. 00:48:06 Speaker 7: So it's just you're right, You're one hundred percent right. She's damned if she do it, damned if she. 00:48:11 Speaker 8: Don't son to the entire time. 00:48:14 Speaker 2: So I could clap for you. 00:48:15 Speaker 6: We have no trade to just hope that she could be like, okay, second or third episode, come wake it up, like maybe okay, I don't want to come in hot in your house. But we need to have a lunch and let's talk because we are gonna be in the same group together. You did say fuck you in the group chats in the chat to me, but let's address that because now we can set the tone of how the rest of the seasons in to go like, I'm on what you want? What are we doing? Yeah? 00:48:36 Speaker 1: No, all of y'all made very strong points, and I do think, wait a minute, what's your note? 00:48:48 Speaker 3: What's coming. 00:48:51 Speaker 6: You hear? 00:48:52 Speaker 2: No, no, no, I will say two things. 00:48:56 Speaker 1: Shamia from what I'm hearing, Shamia is going to do everything y'all said. Okay, I heard that Shamia is the villain this season and Phaedra and Angela Oakley, which was so weird that they did a dual press tour, but that's that's that's all. They did a dual press tour. It was just those two together on a couch and they both said something in regards to Shamia being the one that's that kicks off the drama. 00:49:26 Speaker 2: So I do think. 00:49:27 Speaker 3: I do think. 00:49:27 Speaker 2: Look, I think Shamia is doing is going to do what you guys are saying, which. 00:49:31 Speaker 1: Is leave this Pollyanna act and saying fuck it, let's let's let's let's go, let's go. 00:49:37 Speaker 2: And I do think there's a lot of kissing the ring going on for sure. 00:49:40 Speaker 1: I definitely can see that because listen, even at the party, I want to talk about Kelly and her Man Trey. So if you are if anybody knows social media or Atlanta Claudia, I wonder if you even know this. 00:49:59 Speaker 2: Trey a realtor. That's his Instagram name. 00:50:02 Speaker 1: He's an extremely popular realtor slash influencer. He used to have a YouTube series where he would be in the backseat of his Maybawk interviewing other CEOs in business. Kelly walks in with him, and I know exactly who he is. And it's one of those things where do y'all think it's. 00:50:30 Speaker 2: This trend of. 00:50:33 Speaker 1: Getting these men for the scene, and that's it? Like, is that becoming a trend that are seeing on reality television? And obviously we can we can get into Portia herb Man, Mike, No, this is nothing new. 00:50:48 Speaker 7: We all saw Walter and Kenya back in the day and whether they were whether they were dating for real or not. And even if they did date, right, he was still a blip in her timeline of niggas you know what I'm saying, So like it really was inconsequential. Listen, if we're just filming a scene where people are coming to a dinner party and they asking you to bring it a date, you can bring a random The problem comes in when you frame it as we're actually dating, and here's our history, here's a timeline, and all this other shit that doesn't add up, and now there's holes in the story and it seems like you are lying and trying to pass this off as something more legitimate or serious than it is. Do like Marlow did when Nini had that party. What was the party with the theme that didn't make no sense? 00:51:33 Speaker 3: Bourbon and. 00:51:35 Speaker 7: Titties and bourbon or something. It was the episode when Yovana she hear you, when she did all that. Marlow had some random man with her, A bunch of them had dates and shit, and it just was what it was. Stop framing it like it's more than what it is and then it won't matter. And if your storyline is that you're dating anyway, then these can be just people. 00:51:54 Speaker 3: That you were dating and it can make sense. Just don't lie about it. 00:52:01 Speaker 6: Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, you know, I'll be knowing the tea. Kelly could have really woken it up, and she might be able to still because there's a guy that I know that both Portia and Kelly know. 00:52:15 Speaker 3: What you mean, they both dated him allegedly. 00:52:18 Speaker 6: Yeah, how they know them? 00:52:20 Speaker 3: You think that's why they don't like each other on the show because they both. 00:52:24 Speaker 6: You heard it first here on Monday. I know that there's a friend and I and I'm friends with I don't want to put this person on blast, but if you really wanted to wake it up, but you know, it's really hard to bring who you really f with on the show if you don't want to get ruined if you really care about that person, right, and either one of them, like, if that's really your person that you love or you care about, you may not want to bring that person on the show, but you'll bring somebody safe, like, oh, it's a guy that I dated last year, or we fucked around a couple of times. But the person you really really love, if you really want that to be a thing. Of course, I totally get why you wouldn't, because that's who you care about in your real life. At the end of the day, there's work and what I'm willing to give to the world on TV, and then there's my heart for real, who I don't want to necessarily have y'all mess it up and discuss and break down. And I understand that. And I'm not falsing either one of them if they don't want to. I know this person was more special to one of them more than the other. But if you really went. 00:53:28 Speaker 3: Away without Claudia, that's. 00:53:30 Speaker 6: What I don't think. So, I don't think so. But I do know that there is a person that they I mean, it's Atlanta. It's a very small place. There's a lot of people that have people in common. But like if you, I do get and I know anytime I say her name, y'all think it's he. It's I'm just giving actually objective advice. Like I get why one wouldn't want to bring people into the show if you really have a feeling for them or they have had your back for years, Oh what have you? You know what I'm saying. So, Carlos, do you you want to help Claudia out? 00:54:09 Speaker 3: No, No, I'm because we got agree. 00:54:12 Speaker 2: You know, I will say this. I'm very proud of Claudia. 00:54:18 Speaker 6: Thank you. See, I'm being very and I to the person I said, anytime Partial's name comes up, Claudia's hating, I think I've been very fair and kind of her. I'm complimenting her. I'm giving her. I'm saying I get her, and I need you to stop thinking that if I mentioned this person's thea miss hate this. I have no hatred for anyone on the show. The most when I dislike the most is fatal because I think she's annoying and fake and a liar, and I really have an issue with liars. But I even I don't hate her. I don't hate any of the girls. 00:54:48 Speaker 7: Claudia did she talking about, Yeah, I don't want to make friends with nobody trying to frame me? 00:54:54 Speaker 6: Girl, I mean the sex. 00:54:55 Speaker 8: Don't you got some audacity? 00:54:57 Speaker 6: But let me stop. When she said that, I was. 00:55:00 Speaker 3: Like, that's literally what you did to Candy committed. 00:55:05 Speaker 6: And then the previews of next week with Porsche asking, oh, girls, she's slept with a married man. I said, I know this ain't happening. I know this ain't happened on Eastern I know it's not I know it's not well when, but yeah, what. 00:55:23 Speaker 3: In the first damn episode? Of course, first episodes. 00:55:27 Speaker 7: You're coming in lying and at least you know. The producers like, look, we're starting this ship off up front. Let y'all know what's up. We don't want to be liable after last season. We're keeping our hands clean. This is a lie and we're gonna expose her for a lie right now, so don't nothing come up later on? And we got to fire somebody else halfway through the damn season. 00:55:44 Speaker 8: So I was a question about the men, though, can we be honest in panout? This is not just reality TV. 00:55:49 Speaker 9: We're in a new era of men who are batties, who day powerful women because they're cloud chasers, and so I think this is bigger than reality television or even Atlanta. I think that that is a wave of women dating men who are hoping that if you're attached to a platform that they'll get to sit on the on the face sign for three hours and have a subplot like that random man that Drew had on her phone. 00:56:08 Speaker 6: Like, I think there are men who no, he's not random, he's not random. He's not random. 00:56:13 Speaker 8: You know. 00:56:14 Speaker 9: I know blacks been mentioned before, but I'm saying that there are some men who part of the appeal is that you're on the show and they want to date women who have clout in the way that we used. 00:56:22 Speaker 8: To attract it, we say women were cloud chasers. 00:56:24 Speaker 9: I think men straight men have become the new cloud chasers now, and the shows are just highlighting something that's happening. 00:56:29 Speaker 6: But there's a lot of bad bitches now that they want to be. I mean, you heard Porsch's guy on the skit saying how it would help his brand and all that kind of stuff, and I actually that makes me do that does make me feel bad for the women in a way, because the show puts pressure on you. You got to bring someone this here. You have to have a relationship. You have to or if you want your peach bag, you're gonna have to show up with someone. 00:56:50 Speaker 3: Well, my bad, I ain't hear you. 00:56:54 Speaker 7: Go ahead, go ahead, dsin No, I just like to me, yes, I agree with you that it's mad weird for a dude to do that, But at the same time, like a rich, successful man that was famous or you know, powerful, that was a goal for some women for a time. So maybe now it's guys that have a goal, which it is. Yeah, you're right, you know what I'm saying. Maybe it's the same exact thing. Like I don't know, I don't know. I like to be the person in a powerful seat, So I don't know, but like you know what I'm saying, Maybe that is what I don't know. Maybe that's as women get more and more powerless. I personally love and want for I believe women should be running shit real talk. So as women become more and more powerful and shit, maybe this is a new relationship structure. 00:57:43 Speaker 9: You know what I'm saying, batory though, because of misogyny, and so women when we did it, we did it because we didn't have enough, and so we had to hit our wagon to men. Perfect example, women couldn't have that own bigger countil Ti, nineteen seventy four. Right, So women wanting a man in order to give her whatever was because society was structurally built against her, and so marrying a good man would equal what society was doing against her. Men don't have that, misogynist don't do that to men. So men are doing Men already have the privilege and are being baddies on top of that. So it seems equable from a distance, but it's actually predatory. 00:58:13 Speaker 3: I mean, I feel what you're saying. 00:58:14 Speaker 7: I'm just saying, it's a new incarnation of relationships that we're starting to see more and more. 00:58:19 Speaker 3: It is, you know what I'm saying, Yeah, like. 00:58:22 Speaker 6: You and the women you know in the women's defense, and I will say all of them, there is again immense pressure to show up with someone right, And you know, I saw someone talking about this this what was it called the like pretty guild or women that got it going on, Like if you don't show with a man, the first thing they come to you is you ain't got a man. What's wrong with you? Imagine being on a reality show. Now it's time to one hundred. You got to show up with someone. And then you know, these women are ballers. They're all making great money. Look at for she's in like an eight million dollar house or whatever it was, like that is a huge like she's up there. So a lot of times, if you're gonna wait around for a guy that's doing better than you, you probably be waiting until you die. So you and then a good looking guy that's willing to do some scenes with you and make you like look like you know your desired, she is desired, but like make you look like you're in something for a show. I get it, and these men are loving to sign up for it, and I do agree with you. Destin there is a shift where before things that would be looked down upon, like now I'm a man, I would never do that. Now it's like, well why not women have been going and getting with the athletes and the ball of men. Why can't I? And yeah, it is a change in society. 00:59:27 Speaker 8: It's a false equivalency though, but it is a change. 00:59:29 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:59:32 Speaker 6: But a lot of those men Atlanta, I mean they're ran through. A lot of the men Atlanta are ran through. They've been on multiple shows, on multiple different girls dms, like they were like just helping for one of them to like kind of notice some you know, when they get on the show and they are linked to someone on the show, they have to unfollow other women from shows that they were following before, maybe setting zms to read between the lines, you know what I'm saying. So they do that. 00:59:59 Speaker 7: Maybe it's like being a gamer, like once you go on Survivor and once you go on to Dance with the Stars, you know you're a gamer, so you go through the circuit. 01:00:07 Speaker 6: Maybe it's not a money issue. 01:00:12 Speaker 9: I feel like the whole thing about well, if you're looking for a man who makes more than you, you're gonna be waiting for a while. No, I think women are waiting for men with integrity, which is not monetary at all. If you met a man who was not a millionaire, but it was let's say, making decent money and he's just rocked with you and wasn't a cloud chaser. I think a lot of powerful women would deal with the man who makes less than him if he had integrity. And I don't think it's the money thing. I think it's a lack of masculine integrity that we're used to, Like we could take it for granted. 01:00:38 Speaker 3: With Carl. 01:00:40 Speaker 6: We can hear blurry friends, they said, mister false, he says, Colos has the Colorado WiFi angel. 01:00:49 Speaker 2: Oh no, let me fix it, Let me fix it, let me fix it your point blue. 01:00:55 Speaker 6: One of my best relationships with was with kJ and again we're not together anymore. Where really good friends. But he didn't make as much money as me, but he had the utmost integrity and he was very masculine, even though he wasn't wealthier than me. But he had all the things, like he had a bigger house, he had the cars, he because he worked hard, and he wasn't like a flashy guy. He could give a shit less about reality TV. But there's a lot of sexy, but we don't really see a lot of that anymore. See that's sexy. 01:01:20 Speaker 9: I think men are using money as an excuse for for the lack of integrity. If you have integrity, sit on that rather than your wallet. A woman will want you. But if you're a guy who's broke and you've got no integrity, pick a struggle. 01:01:29 Speaker 6: It can't be both. Atlanta is a lot of that going on, so yikes, And and a lot of batties, bad bitches down there. And the bad matches are not women. A lot of bad bitches down there. The baddest bitch you knowing Atlanta is not a girl. That's what I keep hearing. Go get kJ back. 01:01:47 Speaker 5: Yo. 01:01:47 Speaker 6: First of all, I might even have a boyfriend right now. I don't, but I might have. I might have, you know, I'm saying, like they are so quick, they'll say they're always whenever I mentioned saying. 01:01:54 Speaker 7: They like, go get kJ back because you say positive shit about him, and that's a good thing, you know, And that's. 01:01:59 Speaker 9: The one I'm I love that so I can voise for her. I really liked him, Claudie. I'm sad that you guys are to get I mean my business, but I'm I really really liked him. 01:02:07 Speaker 6: I really liked I did we try to have I try to have healthy breakups. Unless you screw me over and go get engaged to somebody else right away after you getting married, then it's gonna be a little bit weird to me. But he wasn't like that. 01:02:17 Speaker 3: That's right, your boy. But again, further to blues point, you trust him. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. 01:02:23 Speaker 6: I just totally yeah, yeah. 01:02:26 Speaker 8: I would never have on the show, though I would my boyfriend on a reality show. 01:02:30 Speaker 3: Ever. 01:02:30 Speaker 6: Oh my god. We did that show and like one scene made everybody think that he didn't think I was sexy. We were going through Listen, if you've ever been on someone for some years, you go through ebbs and flows where you're all over each other sexually, and then sometimes we were like, eh, it's feeling like brother sister love. The week that we did therapy, it was feeling like that for us. So in therapy he admits that he wasn't like feeling sexually attracted to me. I wasn't either, but I didn't say it because I know reality TV. He I told him, just blurred the shit out. He said it, and now forever it's like, your man didn't even want to fuck you. I'm like, trust me, that's not true. 01:03:00 Speaker 8: I can vouch for Claudia. That man look like he want to take her. 01:03:02 Speaker 9: To the room. 01:03:03 Speaker 3: Absolutely. Yeah, wait did you I'm a button? 01:03:10 Speaker 6: Your titties seem like they're more than when you left. 01:03:12 Speaker 3: That's what they made. The Wi Fi go out was crazy, got. 01:03:18 Speaker 6: Lower when you came back. 01:03:20 Speaker 2: Okay, So sorry about that guy. 01:03:22 Speaker 1: Okay, So what did y'all think about We touched on a little bit last week in terms of FA Angela. 01:03:30 Speaker 2: What were your thoughts on Angela. 01:03:32 Speaker 9: In general this premiere starting with blue Oh snap, okay, I'm seam. Angela has been reheating her own nachos since her little thing last season and into this season. I don't I don't even need fajer they're any more. To be perfectly honest, I think she's superfluous. 01:03:51 Speaker 6: Look that up. 01:03:52 Speaker 9: So that's another angel word. I think Angela is a star. I'm team Angela on all fronts at all times, so I'm biased. I'm gonna just say it up front. 01:04:00 Speaker 2: Mm hm. 01:04:01 Speaker 7: And also, Phaed your ass came in lying like a like a damn rug again, you know what I'm sayings coming in talking about she had it and then even her answer, So did you see the tapes. Well, I did ask the review, yes, but I haven't seen them no lying all the time once again, and so of course were on Angela's side. 01:04:21 Speaker 3: Plus we like Angela better. 01:04:23 Speaker 7: Angela's authenticity is what made her that slow burn that blue spoke up earlier that we loved so much because she was just real and that's why we fuck with Angela Oakley. So for me personally, Angela all day and she looked gorgeous the whole episode. By the way, that scene with her beautiful daughter who looks just like her. They look gorgeous out there on that patio doing rich nigga shit. 01:04:45 Speaker 3: I love that personally, you know what I'm saying. I love it. Where's Angela from Chicago? Okay? 01:04:52 Speaker 6: Because people from like. 01:04:52 Speaker 9: Detroit, Chicago, that area, y'all got something in the water. I fuck with y'all heavy. When it's people who are from like a ch. 01:05:01 Speaker 6: I know where they're from. 01:05:02 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they have. 01:05:07 Speaker 6: Fhadria to me, in my opinion, is so jealous of Angela Oakley's entire life. She has a life that I think Faeda wants us to think she has, Like how fags are I'm in the rooms? 01:05:17 Speaker 5: Are you? 01:05:19 Speaker 6: Because we see on Angela's Instagram that she's actually in the rooms and from sports to entertainment, Hall of Fame, inductions, political events. I mean, Faja gets some things here and there, but it's. 01:05:30 Speaker 2: Not the same. 01:05:31 Speaker 6: My friend's a lawyer. Awill was with a lawyer down Atlanta and she said there was some event that Fasia was filming and she got some award for a lawyer for the cameras, and she said everybody was snickering and laughing in there because they don't look at her as a real lawyer. And like I've already told you time and time again, my lawyer represents Bobby Brown now and he said every single time he went to court and Fasier represented him, he ended up in jail. So I will never give her props as a lawyer because she's not a good one. Anyone that Like when you go and you see a place in La like on Peaco Boulevard and its phone number and they say they do dry cleaning and sell donuts, you got to pick one. You got to specialize in one. If you're a reality star, a twerker, a donkey booty videos, you're a fitness model with Willhelmina, you're a mortician, you're a lawyer, you're this or that. That means you're not great at any of them, you know what I mean? Like a jack of all trades is a master at Now you can do several things and diversify your bonds. 01:06:25 Speaker 2: You can't. 01:06:26 Speaker 6: But when you have all those things, like those are all serious things. If you're an attorney, you're really focusing in a practicing law. And then you're a reality star. But like having like ten things and being like I have jobs, Yes, you have gigs, because you're not that great at any of them. You're not that great at any of them. I think she's extremely jealous of Angela Oakley, the way she comes for her, the way she unnecessarily came for her last season, the way she's like, I think she's so on Charles's like, she would love that situation. She would love that situation a grown man age appropriate. She coming in with this guy looking like he's stressed fresh out of high college. It's giving fake, It's it's I don't know the Phaedra of yesteryear that was a good reader and funny and good. I think it's a waste. I think it's a waste bringing her back and I think it's a waste of money having it there. Honestly, I do, all right, Okay, yes, pressed by Claudia Jordan Akac not those of Monday Night Live are Carlos. I don't know about Blue and Dust Remember all of that I agree with. 01:07:25 Speaker 2: I'll say, Okay. 01:07:26 Speaker 1: The thing is this as we're as we're nearing towards the end of the episode, you know. And I said this in nauseam, and I'll keep saying it. You know, there's a new housewife called Rhode Island. Claudia, you haven't watched it. You should watch the same for you. Blue, I've seen it. 01:07:43 Speaker 2: Yeah, Dust it, I know, watch doesn't texting me. It's like bro, Rhode Island. 01:07:52 Speaker 1: Is a new housewife show, and it made me fall back in love with the genre of reality TV because those ladies are so real that I am. I am shocked and that's and that's and that's sad to say as a vir reality television. I'm shocked at how honest they're being about my man cheated on me. No, I'm not a swinger, but I had a threesome wink wink. I'm a I'm a pretty much pretty much I'm a sugar baby. 01:08:26 Speaker 2: I live in a twenty thousand square foot home. 01:08:29 Speaker 1: My man lives in Miami with his girlfriend six months out the year, and I'm here with a living housekeeper and and and they're arguing about some real shit about nubbitch. 01:08:41 Speaker 2: You sent a photo of my man's mistress to. 01:08:44 Speaker 1: Me, and now we got beep because you called my job and give me fire via HR. 01:08:49 Speaker 2: And when I my my I say that to say, you know, I do. 01:08:54 Speaker 1: Feel like some of the girls on the Show of Atlanta. They're performing for the camp and there's and and I want to be very honest. There is this difference with okay, bitch, the red dot is on, let me give a little one two one two, because I know I can't be there like this, so let me let me find my personality. Look ye, but there's a it's a drastic difference with being so conscious of the cameras to where you're not even being honest about what's really happening in your life. And everybody's looking for the joke, everyone's looking for the read. And I just want reality stars to get. 01:09:33 Speaker 3: Out of that. 01:09:35 Speaker 10: And it's and it's unfair to your followers on social media who fell in love with you because you were real and if you're newly stepping into this genre, I'm not even mad at the new girls anymore because they feel like, well, I got to watch this one who's been on the show all this long get away with it, so I got to step up. 01:09:54 Speaker 8: That's why Pinky's so good, because Pinky didn't do that. 01:09:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, And and I can't wait to see I'll as they show the coming attraction for episode two. Episode two looks very promising. And I think everything we talked about what being episode two, and that's great. But I I do I do miss I do miss seeing somebody's real boyfriend. I miss I missed somebody. 01:10:18 Speaker 8: Like like I the bars and health, bars and health that's which we're missing missing thing. 01:10:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, Like they were talking about Kim Zosiak, and y'all said a lot, Hey Kim. 01:10:29 Speaker 2: The fact that at least she said I have a man. Y'all can't see this motherfucker. 01:10:35 Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, I'm a man. 01:10:38 Speaker 2: And and but Kim wasn't dating other men for the show. 01:10:43 Speaker 3: She was like, didn't have that going on like on Rhode Island, which is your point. 01:10:50 Speaker 6: Yeah, I was that girl honey talking about my husband, my sister. But I took him. I was like, oh my god, all of that. 01:10:57 Speaker 1: So see to see these ladies with these men that I know I'm not gonna see in more episodes. 01:11:05 Speaker 2: It's like, guys, It's what Claudia said, like, guys, we know you're real man. 01:11:14 Speaker 1: You don't want to bring him around. And if that's the case, then tell me. I was disappointed that Gerald missed his flight because I'm just like I I feel so bad for Shemiah because I know how bad Shamiah wants this. I will go on records saying I think Samiah wants this more than anybody on that show. Combined agreed, because she's been around it so long and she finally got it. And I feel bad that it's not the dream she's set off for. And I feel bad that, yes, you have a supportive a husband with who's doing, who's providing with this lifestyle. I feel horrible that this man did not show up for you. 01:12:03 Speaker 2: And let's just say his flight was delayed and that was the case, I would have said, I know how important this is for you. I'm not gonna fly out. 01:12:13 Speaker 1: I'll fly out the next day because I know how much this means to you, and I forel bet listen. I feel horrible for her because at least at least she has a real husband who is there physically, but he's not there for her emotionally. 01:12:28 Speaker 3: On the show. 01:12:29 Speaker 6: That's so hard to like really have a real relationship. But he's not willing or can it, doesn't want to come on the show and carp because it's like it's such a thing, like a few scenes will go a long way with making her look supported, And I think that also kind of transfers over to the women kind of treating her a certain way. Your dude's never there having your back, Like you can play with Angela, but you can't play with it that much because you have to deal with Charles and he has a bad you know, you has a back. And this power in that a woman walks with a different swagger or a different kind of confidence when it's like it's us, it's a united front. It's not just me and y'all piling on upon me and me having to like make an excuse like, oh, well he missed his flight. And I do feel bad for and I hope he can just like see the importance and how he doesn't have to do a lot, and I get that he's a serious person. He doesn't want to get in the bull the bs, but he's gonna You know, you're married to a woman that's on a reality to be there. 01:13:19 Speaker 2: It's what you're said, Angela. 01:13:22 Speaker 1: You can say what you want about Charles. And the reason why I'm not gonna give Joel grace I'm not. I'm just not is because Charles Oakley is an NBA legend, right and yes, and yes he loves the cameras. Fine, but at the end of the day, Charles ain't getting paid. But Charles, I believe Angela behind the scenes said, motherfucker, you're gonna show up for me, and I believe he said, I got your back and he he at least was there for her. Because Claudia is right. When a woman has her man next to her, even if he's mute, it's sort of like we're. 01:13:53 Speaker 6: It's yes, yeah, you're dealing with you. You're not dealing with a woman that's just off on her own like and that's what's kind of like sad like it. You know, there is a respect that they give you. I mean, look at how male centered society is a lot of women are too right, where's your man? Where's your mess? The first thing they go for, go for your neck is where's your man? He doesn't even have to say anything, just showing up. 01:14:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it. 01:14:17 Speaker 6: And as far as Rhde Island, I will start watching it, I will say, is a lot. There's Rhode Island is to have and the have nots. There's super rich, old money. There's a there's a street, a boulevard called ten Mile Drive in Newport. Taylor Swift has a house there. There's mansions that we used to go to in Newport that oversee it's on a cliff, oversee the ocean. That's what we have, all palms. They have homes that have gold on the wind, like like how Kings and Queenity to live. They're Vanderbilts. There's extreme wealth in Rhode Island. Then there's also the hood spots the east side, broad Street on the south side, and those women like even if you're wealthy out there, like you know in other parts of the most other parts of the country. When people have money, they may have started off like talking like rough around the edges, but when they get rich, they all of a sudden they all have British accents, but was not like that, like there'll be billionaires, millionaire families, but they're gonna be like what the fuck? You know what I mean, They're still gonna be rough around the edges. You're still So that's why it's gonna be so appealing because that's just how the women are cutting Rhode Island. It doesn't matter like the level you're on financially, they're still very very What you see, bitch is what you get. And yes, I'm a millionaire, but I will punch in your fucking face. Shana Mochler is from Rhode Island and they I think I would have loved to have seen Shana Mochler with all her wealth and richness and was married. Don't let's not forget she did punch Paris Hilt in the face at High n Nightclub for messing with her man and she had a lot to lose and did not give a fuck. That is the essence of Rhode Island girls. 01:15:40 Speaker 3: It's whatever, it's wherever the show is good. And one last note about Atlanta. 01:15:45 Speaker 7: Shout out to Cynthia Bay who opened the motherfucking episode up with that fly ass scene. 01:15:50 Speaker 2: Clicking first. 01:15:52 Speaker 3: Yeah, but that was she turned around and we saw them. She looked, Okay, we do. I said, yeah, Cynthia, that's great. 01:16:03 Speaker 6: And she doesn't give friend to the show. She gives main character like Mama mother. 01:16:09 Speaker 2: Go ahead, Blue. 01:16:10 Speaker 9: I just have a quick question, because as you guys were talking, something just hit me. Everybody here has all these big dreams, right. Imagine that you are dreaming of something happening, and you get a first season where you're doing really great on whatever show, whether you're on Broadway like Dustin or you're doing the a biopic like Claudia or Carlos Done had his fifty eleven show, Do well, and your partner now knows what's at stake and all eyes are on you, and they still don't show up the second season. I think it's worse now because of last season that he's not there. 01:16:43 Speaker 8: Last season could have been a fluke because he didn't know if. 01:16:45 Speaker 9: It was going to take off or not. But to see your wife finally get the moment that she's been waiting for and been adjacent to for a decade plus and to still not show up, it soured me on him, guys. It soured me on him. Because that that's a level of disappointment that I can't excuse anymore. I can't, I can't see it. 01:17:02 Speaker 6: I agree with you. We he knows that the last year and how much they come for you, and like it's like constantly letting her down. It feels, it feels, it feels in the market. It's uncomfortable to watch, Like. 01:17:13 Speaker 1: It's like, that's what it is, and it's it's it's unfortunate because she actually has a real husband and. 01:17:20 Speaker 11: To see Pinky with her husband, Ky Michelle with her husband, you know what I mean, angela husband and then and then the Shemia walks in and uh child, it's it made me sad. 01:17:33 Speaker 2: But rain drops, let us know what you thought about the premiere, Love y'all? Rain drops? 01:17:38 Speaker 3: Okay, yeah. 01:17:41 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:17:47 Speaker 5: Reality with the King is executive produced by me Carlos King, produced by Lizzie Nimitz, and a partnership with the Lack of Effect Network.
