<v Speaker 1>the paranormal because a lot of people talk about bigfoot
<v Speaker 1>encounters and experiences by cemeteries, and a lot of times
<v Speaker 1>when people are having bigfoot activity on their property, they're
<v Speaker 1>also having paranormal things happening inside the house. So what
<v Speaker 1>are your thoughts about that? And let me know down

<v Speaker 1>let's dive into Sylvia's bigfoot encounter from the state of Texas.
<v Speaker 1>All Right, Sylvia, welcome to Sasquatch Theory. How are you
<v Speaker 1>doing today.
<v Speaker 2>I'm good. How are you?
<v Speaker 1>I'm doing good. It's great to have you on the podcast.
<v Speaker 1>And Sylvia, if you would tell me a little bit
<v Speaker 1>about yourself, kind of where you're from and this possible
<v Speaker 1>bigfit experience that you had.
<v Speaker 2>I am from Fort Worth, Texas born and raised. I
<v Speaker 2>I'm a teacher. I teach fourth graders and I have
<v Speaker 2>three kids. Many many years ago, I was very obsessed
<v Speaker 2>with ghost hunting, which is kind of what felled me
<v Speaker 2>into the situation of destroy them BOSSA.
<v Speaker 1>Tell so, okay, very good, and what were you doing
<v Speaker 1>that day? What took and where were you at?
<v Speaker 2>So to give a little backdrop, like I said, I
<v Speaker 2>was very obsessed with ghost hunting. I had my cousin
<v Speaker 2>who I'm really close with. He was more like a
<v Speaker 2>brother than a cousin to me, and him and his
<v Speaker 2>wife had moved to a town in Texas called Jacksonville,
<v Speaker 2>which is East Texas. It's about two and a half
<v Speaker 2>hours from Fort Worth, where me and the rest of
<v Speaker 2>the family were living. His wife was telling me because
<v Speaker 2>she knew I was like super into ghost hunting, and
<v Speaker 2>she was telling me, Man, you have to come hit
<v Speaker 2>this place over here in Jacksonville, like it's crazy. Everybody
<v Speaker 2>knows it's haunted, and I've heard so much about it.
<v Speaker 2>And so after her telling me that several times, I
<v Speaker 2>just decided to do some research on it. And so
<v Speaker 2>this is back I should mention. This is probably back
<v Speaker 2>at like two thousand and seven, two thousand and eight,
<v Speaker 2>So this is you know before like well, if Google
<v Speaker 2>Earth was around, I didn't know about it. But this
<v Speaker 2>is before you know, cell phones had like the GPS
<v Speaker 2>on them where you could just like type something in
<v Speaker 2>and go anywhere with your cell phone. So how to
<v Speaker 2>do research on exactly how to even get to the place.
<v Speaker 2>Because she's explaining it to me, we don't know this town, Jacksonville.
<v Speaker 2>We're not from there. It's you know, out in the
<v Speaker 2>middle of nowhere. And East Texas is like the wooded
<v Speaker 2>area of Texas, like Fort Worth where I'm at is
<v Speaker 2>city suburban, you know. So this was it was pretty intriguing.
<v Speaker 2>So I did some research on it. And what it
<v Speaker 2>is is it's a monument. It's called I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>pronounce it the way I think it's pronounced, but it's
<v Speaker 2>a monument. And what it is is it's a site
<v Speaker 2>where there was a massacre between Native Americans and settlers.
<v Speaker 1>Can you say that? Sorry to cut you off, can
<v Speaker 1>you say that side again? It kind of cut out colaw.
<v Speaker 2>It's spelled k I L L O U g H.
<v Speaker 2>I've heard people pronounce it all kinds of different ways.
<v Speaker 2>I pronounce it Klaw, and it's a monument and it's
<v Speaker 2>surrounded by the family cemetery for the Kolaw family, and
<v Speaker 2>it was, like I said, it was a massacre site.
<v Speaker 2>The way I heard the story on what happened with
<v Speaker 2>that short and sweet is that the settlers were like
<v Speaker 2>out on the last day of harvest. They had made
<v Speaker 2>an agreement with the Native Americans that because it was
<v Speaker 2>the last day of harvest, like there would be peace,
<v Speaker 2>like nobody would mess with anybody, And when the Klaw
<v Speaker 2>family went out to do that, they were massacred by natives.
<v Speaker 2>Now there's a whole bunch of different theories and stuff
<v Speaker 2>to that, but that's just the way I heard it.
<v Speaker 2>And so this place is supposed to be like deeply haunted,
<v Speaker 2>to the point where when I was doing research on it,
<v Speaker 2>before I decided whether I wanted to go out there,
<v Speaker 2>I had seen that an actual news station went out
<v Speaker 2>there and did a report on it, and to me
<v Speaker 2>that was like solidifying, like this is legit. I want
<v Speaker 2>to try it out. So at that time I was married.
<v Speaker 2>My husband had bought me for Mother's Day that year
<v Speaker 2>a k two meter and a EMF detector. So I
<v Speaker 2>was like, what I felt like, lock andloaded, ready to go.
<v Speaker 2>I had everything I needed. I was ready to go
<v Speaker 2>go tend And so we made the decision to take
<v Speaker 2>the trip out there, and it was just me and
<v Speaker 2>him we did. I had made the decision that because
<v Speaker 2>we had never been there before, I didn't want to
<v Speaker 2>come in darkness. I wanted to get there before dark,
<v Speaker 2>before it got dark outside, so that I can at
<v Speaker 2>least know my surroundings, and that way we could just
<v Speaker 2>kind of walk around and tore it and just see
<v Speaker 2>what's up, and that way, when it does get dark,
<v Speaker 2>we kind of know, like, okay, I'm looking in this
<v Speaker 2>direction over there is you know should be this from
<v Speaker 2>what I remember earlier. And so we got there. So
<v Speaker 2>this monument is exactly dead in the middle of the woods.
<v Speaker 2>There's literally like a little drive that was built to
<v Speaker 2>go up to the monument and a tiny little parking
<v Speaker 2>lot for probably like four cars, and there's an historical
<v Speaker 2>marker there that explains the story of why it's a
<v Speaker 2>historical marker and what that monument's for, and then you
<v Speaker 2>can walk from the parking lot to the monument. Is
<v Speaker 2>probably like a twelve second walk and it's just like
<v Speaker 2>a little trail that goes through grass. And then when
<v Speaker 2>you get up to the monument, the monument itself is
<v Speaker 2>fenced in ach hain link fence, like a short one,
<v Speaker 2>just like a maybe four or five foot tall fence
<v Speaker 2>right there. And so I think that's just because there's
<v Speaker 2>the cemetery there, so it just kind of fences it
<v Speaker 2>off to show like this is a monument of the cemetery.
<v Speaker 2>The monument is like a I guess you would call
<v Speaker 2>it like a monolith. It's kind of like a super
<v Speaker 2>skinny pyramid. It's pretty tall, and like I said, there's
<v Speaker 2>just graves. There's probably like thirty grapes. So when I
<v Speaker 2>say cemetery, I'm talking like tiny. And we walked around
<v Speaker 2>for a couple of minutes we got there. We didn't
<v Speaker 2>have any of the equipment like on because we're just
<v Speaker 2>kind of doing a tour walk just to see like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we'd never been here, like let's see what's
<v Speaker 2>going on. And also because it was summer, like you know,
<v Speaker 2>let's scar off any snakes that might be you know,
<v Speaker 2>kind of fiddling around or whatever. And I mean literally
<v Speaker 2>or the minutes of getting there, we started hearing this noise,
<v Speaker 2>and the noise was starting, you know, farther out, And
<v Speaker 2>so the noise is coming from the woods behind the car.
<v Speaker 2>So like when you pull into the little parking lot,
<v Speaker 2>like I said, that place is like three hundred and
<v Speaker 2>sixty degree woods minus the little road that gets you
<v Speaker 2>up to the parking lot, right, So the noise is
<v Speaker 2>coming from behind the car, and we're like on the
<v Speaker 2>little trail like right before you get inside the fenced
<v Speaker 2>area to the monument. So me and my husband both freeze,
<v Speaker 2>and I always picture like in my mind how we
<v Speaker 2>must have looked like if somebody else had seen. It's
<v Speaker 2>like a cartoon characters with the eyes poking out of
<v Speaker 2>our heads, you know, and like we're sitting there trying
<v Speaker 2>to figure out, like what is this. And when I
<v Speaker 2>say like noise, it was like trees are really big
<v Speaker 2>tree branches breaking and just breaking, and we're just sitting
<v Speaker 2>there looking and looking and like waiting and waiting. And
<v Speaker 2>as we're sitting there, the noise is getting closer and
<v Speaker 2>closer and closer, and it literally got to the point
<v Speaker 2>where one more noise and that things are about to
<v Speaker 2>bust out of the woods. And we're going to see
<v Speaker 2>what it is. And I mean I think my heart
<v Speaker 2>was probably pounding out of my chest at that point
<v Speaker 2>because I was just like, what are we about to see?
<v Speaker 2>Like something's gonna get us, because like, in order to
<v Speaker 2>get to the car, we have to go towards whatever
<v Speaker 2>that is. And so as soon as it got to
<v Speaker 2>that point, the noise stopped. And I don't even remember
<v Speaker 2>if we were talking to each other. I think we
<v Speaker 2>were just trying to stay as silent as possible, like,
<v Speaker 2>whatever this thing is, please go await, please go away.
<v Speaker 2>And so I don't know how long it was that
<v Speaker 2>we stood there like listening and waiting, and I also
<v Speaker 2>remember thinking too, because I don't know if I can
<v Speaker 2>explain this right, So the monument is fenced off, and
<v Speaker 2>then basically all the wooded area outside of that is
<v Speaker 2>apparently private property, so that was fenced so you could
<v Speaker 2>really only be right there inside the monument area the
<v Speaker 2>parking lot, and then all the woods behind that was
<v Speaker 2>I don't know who owns it or whatever it is,
<v Speaker 2>but it said it there was like one of those
<v Speaker 2>big metal like farm gates right there, and there's a
<v Speaker 2>sign on there like posted no trespassing private property. And
<v Speaker 2>so I was thinking too, like, well, whatever this is,
<v Speaker 2>is it gonna be able to get over that fence?
<v Speaker 2>But you know, if it's breaking tree limbs or trees.
<v Speaker 2>It almost literally sounded like it was breaking trees in half.
<v Speaker 2>If you could do that, it can get over a fence.
<v Speaker 2>And so it's the noise stopped. And we sat there
<v Speaker 2>for I don't know, a minute, two minutes, three minutes,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I have no idea. I just know
<v Speaker 2>I was scared to death. And that noise stopped. The
<v Speaker 2>next thing we heard was this is gonna sound really weird,
<v Speaker 2>the noise of like those high powered drills that they
<v Speaker 2>use to like change your tires when you go to
<v Speaker 2>a tire shop. And we just kept hearing it, like
<v Speaker 2>just blasting off zoom zoom, and I was like, look
<v Speaker 2>at her Husban, like who We're in the middle of
<v Speaker 2>the woods, Like how is that possible? And we're sitting
<v Speaker 2>here trying to figure out like what what is that?
<v Speaker 2>Like who could be out there? And I mean if
<v Speaker 2>you look at the Google Maps and you can see
<v Speaker 2>like sort of the imagery of this location, nobody's out
<v Speaker 2>there doing that. Nobody is out there doing that. So
<v Speaker 2>that went on for I don't know, probably like a
<v Speaker 2>minute or two, and then of course we're still standing there,
<v Speaker 2>like and every second that goes why, I'm just like,
<v Speaker 2>can we make it to the car? Can we make
<v Speaker 2>it to the car. And then after that knowing stopped,
<v Speaker 2>there was kind of a pause without anything going on,
<v Speaker 2>and then the next thing we heard was I would
<v Speaker 2>assume that whatever this thing was left, but when it left,
<v Speaker 2>it was in the top of the trees, almost like
<v Speaker 2>giant wings flapping into the tree limbs, and after it,
<v Speaker 2>I guess you could say, flew off. Of course, we
<v Speaker 2>stood there for I felt like we stood there for
<v Speaker 2>probably like ten minutes, were scared to move, and when
<v Speaker 2>we finally kind of figured and I should back up
<v Speaker 2>and just kind of reiterate, the sun had not even
<v Speaker 2>gone down yet. It was still light outside when this happened.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it was getting there, but it was definitely
<v Speaker 2>not dark, no flashlights needed, Like we could definitely see
<v Speaker 2>the tree line. There wasn't like a oh, I wonder
<v Speaker 2>what's out there in the darkness, like we could see.
<v Speaker 2>It was definitely light outside for us to be able
<v Speaker 2>to see. And once we finally got off the nerve.
<v Speaker 2>We went back over to the car and we just
<v Speaker 2>kind of stood there for a minute, and I think
<v Speaker 2>we're probably almost even debating, like do we stay or
<v Speaker 2>do we get scared out of here before we even
<v Speaker 2>have a chance to do what we came to do.
<v Speaker 2>And we ended up deciding we're going to stay. And
<v Speaker 2>I had the KT meter and the EMF detector in
<v Speaker 2>my hand, and we're going back down the little trail
<v Speaker 2>that goes back into the fenced area of the monument,
<v Speaker 2>and the EF detector went off, and I thought that
<v Speaker 2>was really weird because again, we are in the middle
<v Speaker 2>of the woods. There's not like power lines there. There's
<v Speaker 2>no reason for any of that to be going off.
<v Speaker 2>But I'm no expert. I'm just like, okay, And I
<v Speaker 2>mean immediately when that happened, like they always talk about, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you get the chills on the you know, all the
<v Speaker 2>way through your body and up the back of your spine,
<v Speaker 2>and that's what I got. I could feel them, like
<v Speaker 2>all the way into the hair follic goals of my
<v Speaker 2>skull and like I immediately had tears in my eyes.
<v Speaker 2>I have no idea why, And I'm telling my husband
<v Speaker 2>take a picture right here, and I'm pointing like behind
<v Speaker 2>my head, like take a picture right here, take a
<v Speaker 2>picture right here, like I feel something. And so you
<v Speaker 2>took pictures and like nothing really ever came in the
<v Speaker 2>pictures or anything, which I could think. My deepest regret
<v Speaker 2>about this whole situation is I wish it had happened
<v Speaker 2>five years ago, when I could have had a phone
<v Speaker 2>and been recording versus you know, back in six when
<v Speaker 2>we didn't have the capabilities to do that yet. But
<v Speaker 2>we ended up staying for a couple hours in the
<v Speaker 2>darkness K two meter and everyone off again EMF detector
<v Speaker 2>and everyone off. A group of teenagers ended up showing
<v Speaker 2>up because you know, I think out there for them,
<v Speaker 2>it's a small town and it's just like something to do.
<v Speaker 2>And they had showed up, and of course he know
<v Speaker 2>us there, and we told them what we were doing,
<v Speaker 2>and they could see that we were kind of like
<v Speaker 2>taking it very seriously, like we were out there to
<v Speaker 2>like play around, and so they ended up being like
<v Speaker 2>very respectful and sitting quietly. We ended up all there's
<v Speaker 2>like a little ledge on that monolith monument, and so
<v Speaker 2>we all kind of hopped up there and we're just
<v Speaker 2>sitting there in the darkness and the pitch black, just
<v Speaker 2>staring out there, like trying to see if we could
<v Speaker 2>see anything, hear anything, And nothing ever happened after that,
<v Speaker 2>and I did. I think back on it, and I
<v Speaker 2>think it's really strange that at the time I didn't
<v Speaker 2>really notice that. I'm not necessarily a super outdoorsy person.
<v Speaker 2>But I will say that I don't remember hearing any
<v Speaker 2>noise in those woods after that, Like it was silent,
<v Speaker 2>and I just think that's really weird. I don't even
<v Speaker 2>know sex or anything, and you know, we have like
<v Speaker 2>the Sakida things out here just like NonStop, and I
<v Speaker 2>don't remember hearing any And of course, like at the time,
<v Speaker 2>it didn't occur to me, but I think back on it,
<v Speaker 2>I'm just like, man, what could have scared even insects
<v Speaker 2>to like be quiet and for hours afterwards? Like doesn't
<v Speaker 2>make sense to me. So, yeah, that's pretty much what happened.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I appreciate you for sharing that with me. So
<v Speaker 1>it sounded like a big creature was coming at you guys,
<v Speaker 1>is that correct?
<v Speaker 2>Yes?
<v Speaker 3>And you could hear branches breaking.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean it was definitely like we we could
<v Speaker 2>tell that it was unnatural, like whatever it was was
<v Speaker 2>not a normal sound of like you know, a raccoon
<v Speaker 2>climbing a tree or this was like branches are almost
<v Speaker 2>like I want to say, either like thicker branches or
<v Speaker 2>like the kind of skinnier like younger sapling trees or something,
<v Speaker 2>but like definitely being snapped like And it was the
<v Speaker 2>way the sound was coming. It was like a straight
<v Speaker 2>path like coming towards us. It wasn't just like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>it's coming over from here and then another one over
<v Speaker 2>from there. It was like a path and we were
<v Speaker 2>literally like looking at like the path is a noise,
<v Speaker 2>just like way for something to pop out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that does sound like bigfoot activity. I've had the
<v Speaker 1>same experience here in Missouri where it sounded like something
<v Speaker 1>was zigzagging through the woods coming right at me. After
<v Speaker 1>I did a whoop call and it was getting ready
<v Speaker 1>to get dark, and you could hear a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>limbs and trees and saplings just snapping. It sounded like
<v Speaker 1>a bulldozer was crashing through the woods. But whenever it
<v Speaker 1>got close, it just stopped at the edge.
<v Speaker 3>Of the woodline.
<v Speaker 1>Everything got quiet, it got dark, and I never heard
<v Speaker 1>it leave, and just everything stopped after that.
<v Speaker 2>I always told my husband, I said, why do we
<v Speaker 2>not hear it leave the way it came in? Why
<v Speaker 2>do we hear something leaves in that in the top
<v Speaker 2>of the trees and it didn't break limbs on the
<v Speaker 2>way back out? It doesn't make sense to me. I
<v Speaker 2>can't figure it out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that sounds like Bigfoot activity. The only thing I
<v Speaker 1>would say that doesn't sound like Bigfoot activity is whenever
<v Speaker 1>you heard the wings flapping up in the tree, and
<v Speaker 1>that's pretty unusual.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe it was something else.
<v Speaker 2>I yeah, I don't know. And this is why I say,
<v Speaker 2>like I've had so many back on it, and I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 2>it's Native American territory. Was it some kind of like
<v Speaker 2>shape shifting being? Like? And the thing is, like, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know how much I believe in that stuff. And
<v Speaker 2>to be honest with you, all the way out there,
<v Speaker 2>like I said, we're looking for ghosts. We were not
<v Speaker 2>looking for Bigfoot. I couldn't even tell you back then
<v Speaker 2>what my opinion on Bigfoot was. I don't even know
<v Speaker 2>if that was in my plane of being at that time.
<v Speaker 2>So and I don't think even when we left that night,
<v Speaker 2>I was not thinking Bigfoot like I said, I've just
<v Speaker 2>I've bounced from so many theories over the years, but
<v Speaker 2>just the tree breaking to me was like, you know,
<v Speaker 2>what else would that be? And then you don't hear
<v Speaker 2>it leave. And I've heard a lot of other stories,
<v Speaker 2>especially like on your channel too, where people have talked
<v Speaker 2>about like the kind of the weird mechanical noises. I've
<v Speaker 2>heard it mentioned very minimal amount of times, but I've
<v Speaker 2>heard it mentioned. So I was like, Okay, maybe this
<v Speaker 2>isn't out of the realm of bigfoot, but I just
<v Speaker 2>kind of what threw me off all these years was
<v Speaker 2>the mechanical like drill sound, because I was like, what
<v Speaker 2>what is that? That doesn't sound like something that would
<v Speaker 2>fall into the category of bigfoot, But I've kind of
<v Speaker 2>just you know, heard sprinklings of it in stories here
<v Speaker 2>and there, So I was like, well, maybe I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is interesting that you went out there to
<v Speaker 1>research paranormal activity and you ran into something else. It's
<v Speaker 1>kind of random that you had bigfoot activity in a
<v Speaker 1>paranormal area. That almost makes me feel like it's connected somehow.
<v Speaker 1>And a lot of people talk about like portals and
<v Speaker 1>energy and it's strange that you heard the mechanical sounds
<v Speaker 1>out there. I've heard similar out in the woods. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't say like a drill, but I've heard like
<v Speaker 1>sounds like a stop sign got hit really hard, or
<v Speaker 1>like someone like shut the hatch to a tank, like
<v Speaker 1>a loud metal bang. I've heard that several times. And
<v Speaker 1>it's just out there in the in the woods, and
<v Speaker 1>it happens randomly. There's no answer to it. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. People have theory eyes that like that's the
<v Speaker 1>portal opening whenever you hear like the metal bang sound
<v Speaker 1>or mechanical noises.
<v Speaker 3>And there's other.
<v Speaker 1>People that say that sasquatch I don't know are kind
<v Speaker 1>of like like their vocalizations are like parrots, like they
<v Speaker 1>can mimic things that they hear.
<v Speaker 3>So that's a possibility too.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. And the thing too about that because I've heard that, right,
<v Speaker 2>And so I'm constantly like if I learned something new
<v Speaker 2>by listening to somebody else's story, or I hear a
<v Speaker 2>piece of information that I'm like, oh, man, I didn't
<v Speaker 2>think about that. I wish I had had that knowledge
<v Speaker 2>in that moment when it happened, so I could be like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>because I don't up until that will happened. Literally, this
<v Speaker 2>started happening within like ten minutes of us arriving, so
<v Speaker 2>we really didn't even have time but to do a
<v Speaker 2>quick little lap around the cemetery. And then I felt like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, everything kind of went haywire. So it's I
<v Speaker 2>didn't really I wish I could think back and be like,
<v Speaker 2>did we hear anything right before that happened? Like was
<v Speaker 2>there whistling? Was there something like? You know, all I
<v Speaker 2>can tell you is that right before the action started
<v Speaker 2>kind of like rolling. Nothing drew our attention, But I
<v Speaker 2>don't know.
<v Speaker 3>And have you ever experienced paranormal activity there.
<v Speaker 2>Out there? No? I mean we kind of had some,
<v Speaker 2>Like I said, those kids showed up and we're kind
<v Speaker 2>of out there just sort of trying to night observe.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, this is pitch Blacks, the woods. There's
<v Speaker 2>no light source and so we're just kind of like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, the darkness plays tricks on your eyes. So
<v Speaker 2>we're just every now and then one of us would
<v Speaker 2>be like, did you see something over there? Or did
<v Speaker 2>you see something over there? But nothing that was definitive.
<v Speaker 2>Like I said, I had done research on that place,
<v Speaker 2>and it was just like a lot of people were like, man,
<v Speaker 2>they were too scared. They didn't even last like two
<v Speaker 2>hours out there, and they would run out of there,
<v Speaker 2>And I was like, I'm on it. I want to
<v Speaker 2>be there, i want to be scared. I want to know.
<v Speaker 2>I've had a couple of experiences prior to that, just
<v Speaker 2>like in my own home that got me interested in
<v Speaker 2>made me sort of I guess you could say, a
<v Speaker 2>believer or less of a skeptic. And so, like I said,
<v Speaker 2>it was really into it. But I'd never in a
<v Speaker 2>millionaires expected that was going to be my experience there.
<v Speaker 3>But that is interesting. So what other.
<v Speaker 1>Encounters have you had with the paranormal? Can you tell
<v Speaker 1>me a little bit about that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I had. The very first thing that happened that
<v Speaker 2>I can like really clearly remember was my grandma. She
<v Speaker 2>raised me, and she lived out in the country and
<v Speaker 2>I had my own room over there. So every night
<v Speaker 2>before bedtime was you know, pick up your toys and
<v Speaker 2>put them away and get ready for bed. And so
<v Speaker 2>I was at my toy box. So the way the
<v Speaker 2>layout of the room is, the toy box is right
<v Speaker 2>up against the wall. She had built the thing herself,
<v Speaker 2>so just had like a little ooze made out of woods,
<v Speaker 2>had a little lifting lid on it, kind of like
<v Speaker 2>the chests that you can get, and I was putting
<v Speaker 2>stuff in there, and directly behind me is the door
<v Speaker 2>to the bedroom, and that's like a hallway straight out
<v Speaker 2>of there, and to the right right out of my
<v Speaker 2>bedroom is a spare room, and the door stayed open. There.
<v Speaker 2>There's nothing creepy about that house. I'd never been creeped
<v Speaker 2>out about that house a day in my life. And
<v Speaker 2>for some reason, I felt like I needed to turn
<v Speaker 2>around and look. And I turned around, looked, and I
<v Speaker 2>saw what I thought was my grandma going into that room,
<v Speaker 2>and I thought that was weird because we don't ever
<v Speaker 2>go in there, and what is she doing going in there?
<v Speaker 2>And she was carrying a candle like in one of
<v Speaker 2>those I don't know what they're called, but you know
<v Speaker 2>the little metal that has like the little hook on it,
<v Speaker 2>like a coffee mug hook, and it was one of
<v Speaker 2>those kind of candle holders, and she was holding that
<v Speaker 2>and going into that room. She was wearing like a
<v Speaker 2>really long, like white nightgown, which wasn't not the ordinary.
<v Speaker 2>She's kind of old school and she wore stuff like that.
<v Speaker 2>So I was like, what is she doing? I go
<v Speaker 2>in there, There's nobody there. So that was like my
<v Speaker 2>first kind of experience when I was little. Though at
<v Speaker 2>the time I wasn't like that was a ghost. I
<v Speaker 2>just literally thought I hallucinated and I blew it off.
<v Speaker 2>But as I got older, I just like clearly realized, like, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>I know what I saw. I never doubted what I
<v Speaker 2>saw and that was not a hallucination. More recently, around
<v Speaker 2>the time of the claw, like I said, it was
<v Speaker 2>really gonna gohoes hunting. Part of what kind of refired
<v Speaker 2>or reignited my interest in it is because we had
<v Speaker 2>had like a string of deaths in the family. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it was just like kind of one after another, and
<v Speaker 2>so we decided to or I should say I decided
<v Speaker 2>to use eweg board in my own house because I
<v Speaker 2>wanted to get in contact with my dad. And I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, I don't know how much I believe in
<v Speaker 2>all that stuff, but I do know that after that happened,
<v Speaker 2>there was a string of activity in the house and
<v Speaker 2>it was kind of wild. I think. Fortunately for me,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not the kind of person that runs and screams,
<v Speaker 2>and I also don't react. So I think after an
<v Speaker 2>amount of time of things kind of happening and happening
<v Speaker 2>and happening, and I'm not responding. I guess my theory
<v Speaker 2>is they get bored and move on, so don't I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, but I definitely know that I probably won't
<v Speaker 2>ever use a Wiji board ever again, because I just
<v Speaker 2>kind of felt like things were fine until I did that,
<v Speaker 2>and then all of a sudden, weird things were happening.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, So that's pretty much it. We had other
<v Speaker 2>incidents at my college here in Fort Worth that was
<v Speaker 2>pretty I don't want to say significant, but my husband
<v Speaker 2>and his brother were both art majors at Texas Wesleyan
<v Speaker 2>University here in Fort Worth, and at the time, the
<v Speaker 2>art majors had this little house that was an art building.
<v Speaker 2>It was it was an old house and it was
<v Speaker 2>two stories and they were both working on projects and
<v Speaker 2>they were like, we're gonna pull an on Eider. So
<v Speaker 2>I was just there hanging out and we decided we're
<v Speaker 2>going to take a nap and there's like this little
<v Speaker 2>I guess would have would have been the living room
<v Speaker 2>of that house, and there was like two couches in
<v Speaker 2>there and like a vending machine and just like you know,
<v Speaker 2>just random kind of are for college students, And so
<v Speaker 2>we decided we'll just go in there and sleep on
<v Speaker 2>the couches and take a little nap. And there's a
<v Speaker 2>light switch right there. We turned off the lights and
<v Speaker 2>we laid down, and within like a few minutes, the
<v Speaker 2>light switched flip back on. And the first time it happened,
<v Speaker 2>we're just kind of like, oh, maybe it's one of
<v Speaker 2>those fluke things where we didn't quite flip it all
<v Speaker 2>the way down, so you know, flip back up. And
<v Speaker 2>so I think I'm the one that got up and
<v Speaker 2>turn it off, and I laid it back down, and
<v Speaker 2>within a few minutes that flip back on again. And
<v Speaker 2>I think that might have been the only time in
<v Speaker 2>like my history of weird things happening where I responded
<v Speaker 2>and I said, okay, I'm going to turn it back off.
<v Speaker 2>Please leave it off. And we laid back down and
<v Speaker 2>it flips on again, and the boys were just like,
<v Speaker 2>it's time to go, We're not going to sleep here,
<v Speaker 2>and we kind of packed up and got out of there.
<v Speaker 1>And that was that, Yeah, I don't blame you. That
<v Speaker 1>can be extremely frightening, and I mean, I wouldn't recommend
<v Speaker 1>people to play with the Ouiji board. A lot of
<v Speaker 1>bad things can happen and you'll just have like unfortunate events,
<v Speaker 1>kind of bad lucke in real life.
<v Speaker 2>My excuse to that though, was like I had lost
<v Speaker 2>my dad and I was so desperate to get communication.
<v Speaker 2>I was willing to try anything. Like I knew, I
<v Speaker 2>knew the history of the Ouiji word, I knew the
<v Speaker 2>bad things of it, but I just I guess I
<v Speaker 2>convinced myself like if I'm coming in here with good
<v Speaker 2>intentions and I'm desperate, like okay, and you know, that's
<v Speaker 2>kind of where I was at with that.
<v Speaker 1>So no, I understand that you just gotta I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if you pray, but you just kind of got
<v Speaker 1>to do that and have faith and know that everything
<v Speaker 1>will be all right and you'll you'll get through life.
<v Speaker 1>But when you play with stuff like that, it makes
<v Speaker 1>things more difficult, and I just don't recommend it to people.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I've heard people say that, you know, there's
<v Speaker 1>nothing wrong with playing with the pendulum and asking questions,
<v Speaker 1>and if you look on Google, it says it's a
<v Speaker 1>formal witchcraft, and then it also says like it's just
<v Speaker 1>like a new age thing.
<v Speaker 3>But I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I believe that contacting spirits in any way, shape or
<v Speaker 1>form can be bad and you just can't trust them
<v Speaker 1>because you can't see them. They can say you know
<v Speaker 1>that they're a little girl or they're your family member,
<v Speaker 1>and it's just yes, it's hard to do that.
<v Speaker 2>With that incident, I was getting a response I felt
<v Speaker 2>like were almost like, I don't know, how can I
<v Speaker 2>like whatever that was knew the answer that I wanted
<v Speaker 2>and was giving it to me, and it but it
<v Speaker 2>felt disingenuoine. It didn't feel it didn't feel like it
<v Speaker 2>was my dad talking to me, and so I was
<v Speaker 2>just like cut it off.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and what kind of answer did you get.
<v Speaker 2>One of the things was because, like I said, there
<v Speaker 2>was a string of dust in the family. So before
<v Speaker 2>my dad had died, my mother in law had died
<v Speaker 2>like six months earlier, and very sudden, I said, just
<v Speaker 2>where was she? Because I'm not super religious, but I
<v Speaker 2>was a little concerned because she went from being Catholic
<v Speaker 2>and then she married in to the family and she
<v Speaker 2>changed to Jehovah's witness and it kind of scared me
<v Speaker 2>a little bit, like what happens when people kind of
<v Speaker 2>flip over like that or I don't know, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I would like to think like if there's a God,
<v Speaker 2>then God just accepts anybody who's you know, goodwilled. And
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, you know, And I asked and he
<v Speaker 2>responded it started spelling out the word hell, and I
<v Speaker 2>was like, immediately like nope, and I moved the little
<v Speaker 2>the planchet and I was like, no, we're not going
<v Speaker 2>to finish that. And then I said, you know, I
<v Speaker 2>want to talk to my dad. Is he here? And
<v Speaker 2>it answered yes, and I was like, okay, well prove
<v Speaker 2>to me that it's you. I was like, what is
<v Speaker 2>the name that you would call me all the time?
<v Speaker 2>What was my nickname? And in my mind I had
<v Speaker 2>like a certain way to spell that nickname, like not
<v Speaker 2>the he would call me honey all the time, which
<v Speaker 2>is like a super vague kind of nickname, right, It
<v Speaker 2>was the way he would always pronounce it. In my mind,
<v Speaker 2>I would think it was it was spelled like h
<v Speaker 2>n why right? And so I'm thinking in my mind like,
<v Speaker 2>if this is really him, he'll spell it the way
<v Speaker 2>I want him to. And it did start spelling it
<v Speaker 2>like that, and I was just like, okay, and you know,
<v Speaker 2>can you talk to me about like what happened like
<v Speaker 2>right before you died, And it just kind of had
<v Speaker 2>a weird response that didn't have anything to do with
<v Speaker 2>In other words, I was looking for he was in
<v Speaker 2>a nursing home for a couple of days, and I
<v Speaker 2>was looking for some information on what had happened in there,
<v Speaker 2>which wasn't anything major, but if you weren't there, you
<v Speaker 2>wouldn't know. And it just gave me like some kind
<v Speaker 2>of weird answers that were sort of off the wall,
<v Speaker 2>didn't have anything to do with that, but still kind
<v Speaker 2>of had connections, like it referred to my grandma's house,
<v Speaker 2>which he had. We've all in the family have all
<v Speaker 2>lived in that house, like at some point in time
<v Speaker 2>in our lives. It's a big house, and it just
<v Speaker 2>referenced her house. But that had nothing to do with
<v Speaker 2>anything that I was referring to. So I just felt like,
<v Speaker 2>this is like bait and trapped type situation. I just
<v Speaker 2>didn't like it. It wasn't it wasn't answering the questions
<v Speaker 2>that I needed, but it was almost like trying to
<v Speaker 2>flex on me, like I know, information about you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is interesting, and I'm sorry about your loss. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like I said earlier, it's just best not
<v Speaker 1>to trust that and just to have faith. And I
<v Speaker 1>know a lot of times it's hard to just go
<v Speaker 1>off of faith because you're worried about the future and
<v Speaker 1>the past and you just got to know that things
<v Speaker 1>are gonna be okay. And I know that's difficult to do,
<v Speaker 1>but yeah, it's just best not to do that because
<v Speaker 1>bad things can't happen. And you know, I've played with
<v Speaker 1>like spirit boxes before and I had a lot of
<v Speaker 1>activity and just life started going downhill the way I
<v Speaker 1>was feeling, my health everything, And I just don't recommend
<v Speaker 1>it to people. I know that a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>listening don't believe in that, but it's just not worth trying.
<v Speaker 3>It's not worth that.
<v Speaker 2>I kind of learned from using that spirit board and
<v Speaker 2>just sort of like the energy of kind of everybody
<v Speaker 2>in the family at that time was we're all like
<v Speaker 2>in distress because of you know, these things happen, and
<v Speaker 2>you know they always say like they feed off that,
<v Speaker 2>they feed off that negative energy, So in angry and
<v Speaker 2>you're sad and you're crying all the time, like it's
<v Speaker 2>like a perfect environment, and I just kind of felt
<v Speaker 2>like things sort of again, I didn't respond and get
<v Speaker 2>scared to just the little things that were happening. And
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to say little things because there were
<v Speaker 2>some kind of major things, but you know, and the
<v Speaker 2>house was clean and quiet two or three years and
<v Speaker 2>then I had a really good friend show up one night,
<v Speaker 2>like two or three years after all that. She showed
<v Speaker 2>up and she's really upset, like really upset and crying.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm like, well, come in the bedroom. My husband
<v Speaker 2>went took a he slept on the couch, like he
<v Speaker 2>was in there on the couch so we could have
<v Speaker 2>girl time and I could figure out what was going on.
<v Speaker 2>She comes in there and she's telling me like this
<v Speaker 2>wild story about why she's upset, you know, and just
<v Speaker 2>typical marriage kind of stuff. And of course she's like
<v Speaker 2>super upset, and she finally leaves and she was like,
<v Speaker 2>don't worry about it. I'll let myself out. I'll lock
<v Speaker 2>the door behind me. So I'm like okay, And so
<v Speaker 2>I just sticked in the room and we had those
<v Speaker 2>door knobs that are like the handles that you you know,
<v Speaker 2>pull down on it wasn't like a knob. And after
<v Speaker 2>she took off, like she closed the door behind her,
<v Speaker 2>and then I'm laying on the bed, but I'm laying
<v Speaker 2>on my stomach like facing towards that door, and the
<v Speaker 2>handle like pulls down and opens, and I'm like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>she must have forgot something. And so I go I
<v Speaker 2>like waited for a second, nothing happened. I get up
<v Speaker 2>and go to the door. She's not there. Go to
<v Speaker 2>the front door. The front door's locked. So I'm like, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>what was that? And it's just another one of those
<v Speaker 2>things where I was like, she brought that energy in
<v Speaker 2>here and we can't have that. And I have politely
<v Speaker 2>told her the next day because she's very much like
<v Speaker 2>a believer and spiritual and all the things. And I
<v Speaker 2>was like, yeah, I think if we're going to have
<v Speaker 2>any more discussions about what was happening, like, we need
<v Speaker 2>to do that outside of this house, because yeah, maybe
<v Speaker 2>those things didn't go away. They're just dormant because nobody's
<v Speaker 2>feeding into it. And then when somebody shows up upset
<v Speaker 2>and crying and all these things, like, it's got a
<v Speaker 2>burst of energy off that.
<v Speaker 1>And I can't have that, Yeah, absolutely, And I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you did all that because you had faith that there's
<v Speaker 1>something better out there, that there's life on the other side,
<v Speaker 1>and that they're in a better place. So you just
<v Speaker 1>got to keep that faith. Andy, I mean, that's the
<v Speaker 1>reason why you played with it, was because you knew
<v Speaker 1>that could possibly be real. So yeah, I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>know things get hard, but you just gotta kind of
<v Speaker 1>gotta roll through the punches, and that is hard to do.
<v Speaker 1>But I'm glad you don't play with it anymore. And
<v Speaker 1>I wonder if there's a connection with that and the
<v Speaker 1>strange creature that was out in the woods. It's really
<v Speaker 1>hard to say and determined, but it could be a
<v Speaker 1>possibility if there is another element to these creatures.
<v Speaker 2>And I will say too, I checked the BFRO website
<v Speaker 2>just to kind of see if there had been any
<v Speaker 2>other reports like in the area, and I think you
<v Speaker 2>only saw like one or two that were kind of
<v Speaker 2>in the vicinity. Of course not directly there it's a monument,
<v Speaker 2>but maybe you know because they're listed by county, and
<v Speaker 2>I saw some stuff, like one or two things in
<v Speaker 2>that county, and I was kind of a little surprised
<v Speaker 2>because I'm like, that is a very wizy area, but
<v Speaker 2>you know, it always bikes to wonder, like how many times,
<v Speaker 2>like me, I didn't go on there and put that
<v Speaker 2>because I don't know if that's what that was. So
<v Speaker 2>I'm hesitant, and there might be people that don't want
<v Speaker 2>to put it because they don't want to put it
<v Speaker 2>out there. So I just wonder how many things have
<v Speaker 2>actually happened out there that we don't even know because
<v Speaker 2>nobody said anything.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and I know it kind of sounds crazy for
<v Speaker 1>me to compare Bigfoot to the paranormal and theorize on it,
<v Speaker 1>but I mean it's no different than thinking they're a
<v Speaker 1>physical creature and still not know anything about it when
<v Speaker 1>people are like, oh, they're attracted to baby crying noises
<v Speaker 1>or they like the sound of music, Like, no one
<v Speaker 1>really knows.
<v Speaker 3>So we're just trying to figure.
<v Speaker 2>Not really a rule.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And I wouldn't be comparative if I
<v Speaker 1>haven't seen the orbs out in the woods, like invisible
<v Speaker 1>things talking in the middle of daylight out in the
<v Speaker 1>woods and you just can't see what it is, And
<v Speaker 1>just how they seem to know your thoughts, Like there's
<v Speaker 1>been moments where I thought, well, I haven't heard of
<v Speaker 1>one knock and pow. It sounds like someone hit two
<v Speaker 1>baseball bats together. And there's been several moments like that
<v Speaker 1>where it's just like that's a weird coincidence, Like how
<v Speaker 1>does that just happen as soon as I think it? So,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I feel like there is a paranormal side
<v Speaker 1>to these creatures, and people won't accept that. But I
<v Speaker 1>mean if you listen to spiritual leaders, whether it's like
<v Speaker 1>Native Americans the Catholic Church, they will tell you that
<v Speaker 1>the physical realm is intertwined with the spiritual realm.
<v Speaker 2>I believe that. Yeah, I believe that. And I feel like,
<v Speaker 2>like with the situation with the monument, there's just so
<v Speaker 2>much going on there because you're talking about Native Americans
<v Speaker 2>and their spiritual realm and the things that you know
<v Speaker 2>they believed in or whatever's going on with that versus
<v Speaker 2>you know settlers that were there, and then like I'm massacred,
<v Speaker 2>like you know death that and there's there's a lot
<v Speaker 2>of conspiracy theories too about that story, which you know,
<v Speaker 2>I kind of got into like more recently than I was, like,
<v Speaker 2>well that's really interesting, but you know the fact is,
<v Speaker 2>like people died out there. There's a cemetery there for
<v Speaker 2>it and a monument for that family, and there's nothing
<v Speaker 2>for the natives. I'd be pissed off too.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, And by any chance, are there any Native American
<v Speaker 1>burial grounds out there as far as like the mounds
<v Speaker 1>or no?
<v Speaker 2>I mean I not that I know of now. I went.
<v Speaker 2>It's probably been like a year ago. I just like
<v Speaker 2>went on a little kind of rampage of going on
<v Speaker 2>Google Maps because I was like, I really are a
<v Speaker 2>Google Earth I should say, I really wanted to see
<v Speaker 2>that area and I and it was kind of horrifying
<v Speaker 2>when I looked at it because in all these years
<v Speaker 2>like since then, I never, I guess never really thought
<v Speaker 2>to go in there and look at it on Google Earth.
<v Speaker 2>And it was a little horrifying to see how much
<v Speaker 2>in the woods it is. I don't know, like you know,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not big into like figuring out like on a map,
<v Speaker 2>especially like on Google Earth, like you know, miles or
<v Speaker 2>square footage or acres or anything. But I'm telling you, like,
<v Speaker 2>just from the way it looks, it's as far as
<v Speaker 2>I can see in every direction, and the only thing
<v Speaker 2>I could see on there that I'm interested in is
<v Speaker 2>it looks like there's another sign. I don't know, maybe
<v Speaker 2>like a little trail that people have sort of worn
<v Speaker 2>out by walking over. I don't know. It's hard to tell.
<v Speaker 2>It's Google Earth, but you kind of.
<v Speaker 3>Cut out there.
<v Speaker 1>You said there's a little sign or some type of
<v Speaker 1>ste there's a sign.
<v Speaker 2>It looks like it's hard to tell. I zoomed into
<v Speaker 2>it the best I could on Google Earth. But I
<v Speaker 2>don't know if it's another historical marker or like some
<v Speaker 2>sort of sign. It's definitely not like a oh there's
<v Speaker 2>you know, pipes here, or like a gas line sign.
<v Speaker 2>It's like some kind of something like with information on it.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't know if it's another historical anym or something.
<v Speaker 2>But I did do some further research, kind of because
<v Speaker 2>I was intrigued about this sign, right Like if I
<v Speaker 2>had known about that, I would have went the first time.
<v Speaker 2>And I do know that there's some of the family
<v Speaker 2>that was murdered were not found, and then some that
<v Speaker 2>were found, like kind of way far out there maybe
<v Speaker 2>were that sign was that. So we are planning a
<v Speaker 2>trip to go back. I haven't been back there since
<v Speaker 2>that happened, but we're planning a trip to go back
<v Speaker 2>right now in Texas one hundred and twelve degrees outside,
<v Speaker 2>so it's going to have to wait until it's a
<v Speaker 2>little cooler. But we're definitely planning to go back here
<v Speaker 2>in the months to come, and I would love to
<v Speaker 2>try to check my way over. That sign is can
<v Speaker 2>I see what's out there? And it says, but we'll
<v Speaker 2>see Okay.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, And yeah, I guess the biggest takeaway from
<v Speaker 1>this phone call is that you experienced cryptidactivity while out
<v Speaker 1>there doing paranormal research. And the area has had a
<v Speaker 1>lot of reports in the past regarding the paranormal, So
<v Speaker 1>could it be connected with the paranormal It's really hard
<v Speaker 1>to say, but we'll have to keep.
<v Speaker 3>It in mind.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm not saying it is or it's not, but
<v Speaker 1>maybe in the future when we find out more, we
<v Speaker 1>can go back to these podcasts and say, hey, you know,
<v Speaker 1>these people said this and there was some truth to it.
<v Speaker 2>So I treat these podcasts like college classes. I'm listening
<v Speaker 2>to them because I'm learning information in order to help
<v Speaker 2>me sort of further figure out what I experienced or
<v Speaker 2>what I think it might be, to help me come
<v Speaker 2>to a more solid conclusion. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, and I'm open to any theories or possibilities, and

<v Speaker 1>a clear sign of sasquatch. But then you mentioned that
<v Speaker 1>you heard what sounded like a big set of wings
<v Speaker 1>in the trees. That does not sound like bigfoot activity.
<v Speaker 1>I mean that possibly could be mothman, and it makes
<v Speaker 1>me wonder other people have seen creatures or beans that
<v Speaker 1>have wings that are not mothman, And a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people describe it like jeepers creepers, which is scary to
<v Speaker 1>think about because when you think of jeepers creepers, you
<v Speaker 1>think that's just a movie. But I've had reports from
<v Speaker 1>people like in North Carolina that talk about seeing this
<v Speaker 1>winged entity, and hopefully that's not what it was. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I would not play with the Ouiji board. And I'm
<v Speaker 1>not trying to put you down. And I know that
<v Speaker 1>you are looking for answers, and I think a lot
<v Speaker 1>of people that research the paranormal have lost someone and
<v Speaker 1>they're just seeking answers, wondering if there really is life
