[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Andre, I heard you just drove the most fun truck that you've driven in the last one.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're a tight year, I would say.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, at least a year.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you just came back from Detroit where you did a lot of trucky things.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the most fun thing you did was you drove a supercharged,
[SPEAKER_01]: V8, F-150, Lobo.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, so Ford's been doing this for a while, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So they've been offering kind of dealership installed after market.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm calling them after market because it doesn't come from the factory, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Superchargers for their five liter vehicles, including the Mustangs, and of course they have fun 50s.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I drove a kind of a special version, and there's a lot of news related to that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so in this podcast, we're going to chat about Andre's trip to Detroit and I got to drive dude.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got to drive a Durango Hellcat in the snow in Vermont.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we should talk about that too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, I don't know what you ate, but you ate something weird in Detroit, so we'll hit that as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to your questions, and of course, we're going to have to dive deep into the truck that isn't a caterpillar.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also talk a little bit about RAM as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, and preview something that's happening next week.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also, we are live on patreon.com slash tflqr.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, thanks for joining us, and as always, any feedback or questions, we welcome that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're not a patreon member,
[SPEAKER_01]: Supporter or TFL and you want to help us provide more truck news to you then Consider becoming a Member and of course the trick there is you have to go to patreon dot com slash tfl car Yeah, because we only have one account on the second we started it before we thought it through
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, because we should have called the TFL studios, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not TFL car, but anyways, just go to TFL car and you'll support everything TFL, including the spotcast, including everything we're doing on our off-road channels and everything else.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you do decide to become a patron and you don't want a penny of your money going to car content, just shoot us a note and we'll make sure that that happens.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, a guarantee, where you can buy some sandwiches, a guarantee we won't put a penny toward truck toward Carcontent, all right, so tell me about this new logo that Ford is building because it is super interesting and I think for a long time people have been
[SPEAKER_01]: kind of curious let's call it supercharger curious yeah about how they could supercharger their coyote and now for it has kind of gotten into the game themselves more directly than having having to have you go through a dealer so tell me about the global first something what it is so low book came out last year right so it's basically a little bit more of a street oriented f-150 and is it lowered
[SPEAKER_02]: It's lower than the back only, so here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: So F-150 is that it's a formal drive track, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: And usually the stance is, the front is a little bit lower than the rear, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I know what it's called.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's not talk about that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then basically that's on for payload, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So when you add a lot of payload to the track, we're talking of heavy trailer.
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's one of the images we have here.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you watch it, it's black.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh, it was sinister as heck so what they did.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you see how it's now a level stands so really?
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's not low enough really for you know, just really street custom look what types are those wheels and tires 22?
[SPEAKER_02]: I know I mean it looks like the rubber bands are all reals
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we can, so that's another thing you get with the logo, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: You get 22's, you get really kind of low profile tires and a level stance and a unique grill.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you see how that LED light kind of runs through the front grill?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it looks like a bunch of like colon's, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a hash marks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like what you hash marks?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, you know how Tesla has now the light that runs across the entire front?
[SPEAKER_01]: This is like that, except that it's broken into little sections.
[SPEAKER_02]: yeah and i'm i'm getting a little tired of continuous lights on everything right everybody is doing kind of continuous light bars um... so this is kind of a unique look and it also has kind of uh... uh... treatment you know the lower grill treatment and a little jinspoiler and kind of the side skirts so it has a of and of course it's difficult to see on this one because it's all triple black so asking this which room level is a local can you get it in various trump can be ex-r
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's only one, so it's basically STX, STX, which is basically kind of a work truck with a little bit more pizzazz, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So there's still the XL, which is a base-based work truck, then the STX adds a little bit of color to the interior.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's different stitching, you know, the different badge.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had that, didn't we have that Ranger, wasn't it, STX?
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember we had that old Ranger that we
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: You mean the black one?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then we did a sunset color pattern.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was an STX.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So so it's that except now you can also add a global package to it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And with that, of course, you get the five liter
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little bit easier actually to get a supercharger installed on the 750.
[SPEAKER_02]: So what used to happen in the new Nitestro of actually a supercharger that's 150, but a year ago, maybe?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So what used to happen is they have a Ford performance, so you can see a picture right there.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're working with Wipple.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a three-liter, so the supercharger itself has like a volume, right, a measurement.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a three-liter generation-6 supercharger, and it really adds a lot of power to 300 horsepower that.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you over 700?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you go from 400 to 700, basically.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the way it used to work is you go to a dealer and the dealer installs it for you, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: And it comes with its own warranty,
[SPEAKER_02]: We can discuss that, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so before we get to the caveats, let's talk about our experience.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my experience.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and then you kind of compare and contrasted.
[SPEAKER_01]: So right before we bought our coyote last year, F-150, trimmer, we test drove one of these supercharged Ford F-150s from the dealer.
[SPEAKER_01]: which was like a lary at the right it was a live a mid-grade yeah i think i think what happened was our dealer had uh bright and forward great good people yeah had i think he said it was like somewhat it was a use maybe hailed damage truck and he thought it would be fun to slap a super charge around do you remember that yeah because the price wasn't that crazy no it was like under 70 grand maybe oh it was less less less less than that
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, maybe I don't remember that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this was a used coyote that I think he had traded in and then he decided to supercharger using the Ford Supercharger and then we drove it and this is why I'm talking about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was quicker, but it didn't like blow my, you know, my screw it up.
[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like exactly like a T-shirt or a Raptor or a Raptor.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was it was fast, but you didn't necessarily get that sense of like the supercharger wine coming in from
[SPEAKER_01]: the front and then they had a great exhaust note.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just felt like a quicker F-150.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was civilized.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's going to be putting it.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that's a wrong thing for this type of track.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me about the low boys.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a different than that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because this basically is the same setup.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so I don't know what the difference was, the one we drove and the one that because they're using technically the same software, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: But you could hear, so we have a video coming, so so if you want to enjoy a little bit more, you know, video version of this, there's going to be a video on TFL truck.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you can check out all TFL as well and check it out.
[SPEAKER_02]: But you have wonderful, supercharger wine, it was crazy quick.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you and I drove it in Denver, ish, which is like elevation is a little bit higher, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So I drove it in Detroit, which is the elevation is a little bit lower.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know if that was a difference, we'll do a burnout.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my, oh, it has a tool drive mode.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and all will drive mode for a basic truck.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: And colonize, burn some rubber actually.
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you get for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: We tried to do it in the most.
[SPEAKER_02]: you know, just PC way possible.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you're saying you'd like to see this thing slammed.
[SPEAKER_01]: You wanted to be like a true like California's slammed street truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this just feels like an F-150 that looks sinister.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you see the pictures if you're watching this on YouTube, it's just a blacked out truck with a lot of cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: kind of lights across the front of it and a supercharger, but it doesn't feel like a street It doesn't feel like the Maverick, you know the Maverick?
[SPEAKER_01]: The old stuff, although Maverick, which is, you know, if that one feels like it's slammed, this one just looks like it's normal ride height.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of normal.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it's actually in the front.
[SPEAKER_02]: Except for the 22's especially in the front.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you go to a website?
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you look up for custom garage?
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so how much this is all this cost?
[SPEAKER_02]: So all in, so the supercharger addition cost 10,250 bucks.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then, under vehicles at the top, coal, find the Ford, like, yeah, in the fun 50.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then the low-boyd self cost about $61.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you're at $72, so for $72,000, that was a lot of fun we had.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
[SPEAKER_01]: This, this is an important question.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do they do it at the factory or does a dealer still do it?
[SPEAKER_01]: Neither.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's confusing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Joe's garage does it.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's taken over to your local Ford aftermarket.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not Joe.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Who is it?
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not Joe.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's Fox factory.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Fox factory.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, Fox factory is a separate company, but they do work very closely with many pickup truck OEM manufacturers.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so what they're doing what's different now is that you could order it via dealer, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say you're buying a brand new F-150 and then it will before it gets delivered to the dealership.
[SPEAKER_02]: It will go through the Fox Factory facility.
[SPEAKER_02]: They will actually, and they specialize in this, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: They do superchargers every day all day long, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So it'll go through them and it'll get delivered supercharged and you will pay whatever the money is in this case.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's about 70,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now the reason I asked that is because our friends over at Edmunds did that, they bought Dark Horse.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm Mustang.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Mustang and the superchargers, and via dealership.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, via dealership, the dealership, the dealership, and then they did their huge drawings, which were a lot of fun, and each of you guys go check them out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, it's a drag race that they go down the...
[SPEAKER_01]: Airstrip and then turn around come back.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a really interesting and smart idea for track.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm jealous guys Anyway, they uh They had this dark horse.
[SPEAKER_01]: They supercharged it and they felt like it never had the right amount of performance And then I guess they took it to the track and the thing through all kinds of lights and then they took a back to the dealership And what they figured out was that when the dealer had done the install they hadn't gapped the
[SPEAKER_01]: spark plugs correctly for the supercharger and basically they were blowing up the spark plug which is bad yes and they could have in fact wrecked the engine but against the coyotes very stout and it didn't break but once they had a gap right Then I felt like it had a lot more power, but I bring this up because I always worry about
[SPEAKER_01]: a dealer doing these kinds of major installs because let's face that they're set up to do you know a lot of repairs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah repairs and warranty stuff but I kind of feel like knowing me what would happen is I take it to the Ford dealer and be like, hey can you supercharge this for me for what 11-12 thousand dollars?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they'd be like, I know problem and then their master mechanic be out to lunch and then they'd be like, hey, where's Joe?
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they'd be like, oh, Joe's not so much.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's an intern.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, how about Steve?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he's sick today.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, give it to Pete, you know, he's not against Pete.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's Pete.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the first time he's up.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think this Edmund story kind of tells that tale because according to them, the dealer they took it to in California had done a bunch of these and yet they didn't get up to spark plugs right?
[SPEAKER_01]: So I worry about, you know, having
[SPEAKER_01]: That much on the line with maybe a mechanic who has never done it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so now we get to the caveats, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So first of all, we're showing a couple of things.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're watching this on TFL Talk channel.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you can kind of see exactly the price of the Supercharger kit.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's available for 2021 through 2026 F-150s with a 5-liter Yara Yara Yara.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that 10,000, 250,000?
[SPEAKER_02]: Or is that just the kit?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's a little bit interesting.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it depends on when you order it.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you order it in a brand new truck, I think it's included.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you are, if you already own an F-150, and you want to make this upgrade to it, I think the installation will be extra because you have to actually take it somewhere to a different dealership or certified facility for this.
[SPEAKER_02]: So,
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I'm saying there's there's a lot of little caveats.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just wish this was a factory truck You know, I'm saying yeah, why not just do the factory.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know how to install a supercharger.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I don't have the rupture arm.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean they sell that you know every day.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it seems like
[SPEAKER_01]: the obvious thing here is just have them do it when they're you know just go down the line and then this one gets a supercharger.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well this must be it must be related to maybe emissions standards and or there must be some reason.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of the prospector right if you if you're doing a prospector ram prospector then what you do is you buy the ram from ram yeah and then it gets shipped over to aevee in Michigan and then they do the you know
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, all the bumpers, bumpers, and all that, and then you pick it up from A, E, V, or I think they can say.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they ship it to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's kind of the way it works.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then our good friend Charlie Miller, he was on the show, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: He came out from Texas.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was a great guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: He runs a wrecking service in Texas.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: So amazing.
[SPEAKER_02]: He had one of these trucks, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: He had a two door.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was amazing.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was, remember how loud it was?
[SPEAKER_01]: It was so cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: So cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: Charlie, thanks again for bringing it up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's, what did the drag race with it?
[SPEAKER_01]: So he had the dealer installed supercharger.
[SPEAKER_02]: Basically, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So he worked through a dealer, bought this brand new truck.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was lowered.
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember it was slammed?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: He basically built his own mobile.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was slammed.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have a video of that on our YouTube channel.
[SPEAKER_01]: And anyway, this story does not have a happy ending.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it does not have a happy ending because he,
[SPEAKER_02]: You wanted to switch it out, you wanted to trade it in and get something else from Ford.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he found out that the three-year warranty that Ford is including with a supercharger, which is what you would buy.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's factory warranty, so you feel confident that if you're Edmunds and you blow the engine because you didn't get the gap right at the fourth
[SPEAKER_02]: So really the resell value suffers quite a lot because the dealer now told them Oh by the way, it's been only a year and the warranty is not transferable to the next owner as such we're not going to give you as much value for this truck as it otherwise would have.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, that's kind of a big deal, and I reached out to Ford about this and they said they're working on this So they're trying to actually include that transferable worrying too What do you have to work on it?
[SPEAKER_02]: What is it?
[SPEAKER_01]: They just go think it check a box.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's transferable.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's between them and Wipple.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wipple provides the supercharger, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: I see.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, so I
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the business implications of this is for for example, but the customers us, we are the consumers here's the biggest caveat, when we bought I think from I shouldn't say the biggest, one of the big caveat, so I think that this non-transfer warranty is a huge one, but the thing that kept us when we initially bought the tremor we thought we should probably supercharge it, so owning a little bit do all of our usual
[SPEAKER_01]: You quickly come to the realization, we just had this happen when we were actually selling it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is, there's no value in that supercharger if you go to sell it to a dealer or if you go to traded it on something else.
[SPEAKER_01]: They will give you no additional money for it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you've just spent $12,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: for the experience or maybe more or maybe more of the experience of having a supercharged and in your mind as a guy, I'm thinking, hey, this thing has seven horsepower.
[SPEAKER_01]: So when I go to the family home, yeah, I go train on an F250 diesel but give me that money.
[SPEAKER_01]: They won't.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it happened to us with the tremor because we put on some lights.
[SPEAKER_01]: Our friends at F-150 light, LEDs, LEDs, great.
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, if you're looking for some cool ass lights to put on, you check out F-150 LEDs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys are incredible.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just, I mean, just beautiful different options.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, lit up the front of the truck like daylight.
[SPEAKER_01]: We did a video with that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But,
[SPEAKER_01]: I went to sell that to a guy, I know, who buys vehicles for another dealership.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he actually said that they would give us less money for the truck because we installed seven and a half thousand dollars worth of LEDs on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if that's dealer, shenanigans, or if that's real, because part of it could be like, you know, let's face it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you buy something.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to buy someone else's creation.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to, yeah, because it's, it's that person's vision.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: That may not translate to another person's vision.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, so, so it may be that, or it may just be that, because I say that because have you ever gone to like a, let's stay with Ford.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's also where I'm in Chevy, that Honda, and you go to the dealership, and there is some massively lifted trucks sitting in the front of the dealership with, you know, Smitty built parts on it that some like local fabricator had put together for the dealership, and now the truck is $25,000 more expensive than it would be if it was just stock.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's kind of this double message where you go to him, you say, hey, I've done what you're going to do with whatever shop you're using and I did it myself, but they'll be like, oh no, no, no, people want, you know, people want our stuff and they want, they want the stock truck, but then you're like, but you're selling one for 25k more, which is, which is lifted, which is lifted, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Probably has no warranty, which is done by somebody that I've never heard of with questionable, you know, parts or parts.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's certainly not, you know, the Cadillac of parts, and you're asking 25K for that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's okay versus the fact that, you know, we professionally did ours, you know, we put on great LED lights.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we didn't do it in our garage.
[SPEAKER_01]: We went to a professional for overland.
[SPEAKER_01]: And a professional who's done this a lot because that's what we do here.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we are kind of at the top of the spear here, the tip of the spear when it comes to products that we have.
[SPEAKER_01]: And yet, you're going to discount the value of this trick because of that.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the same thing happened to our, remember our list of comments.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we put the suspension system on the comments, uh, RAM 2500.
[SPEAKER_02]: We put AV bumpers on it.
[SPEAKER_02]: We put lights.
[SPEAKER_02]: We put cash.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like $15,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't get a penny for us.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not a single penny.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the same thing happened when we sold, we sold our, uh, gladiator to an individual.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we had a deep performance kit on that the dealer install and warranted.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had a rooftop tent and we had the deck system and I don't think we got any more money for that gladiator than if I had been completely stock.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the lesson there that we've learned in the reason we didn't supercharge our tremor is we're just going to take because we're long going to keep it for a very long time.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, we're going to take $12,000 and we're going to go poof, you know.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to smile for a while for some videos which you'll make, you know, a couple hundred bucks maybe because that's YouTube world these days.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then, you know, we'll end up spending 11 to make two.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe if so for us it didn't make sense.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: But if you buying your dream truck, right, and if you want to keep it for five, 10, 15 years, right, and then pass it on to your children or whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: That maybe that makes sense right you're keeping it for a long time If you're one of these guys or gals who keeps their stuff forever and you want that then that's great That doesn't make sense, but then you're also like now You know overnight gas prices apparently this week went up 11% yes, and now you got this big old supercharger It's sucking fuel like you gotta pay to play you gotta pay to play like it was out of style by the way the supercharger requires premium fuel
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyone knocked in or above.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can be going so high school quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: So exams.
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, so it also depends on the year of your vehicle.
[SPEAKER_02]: It also like, you know, carp states, right, and California air resources board.
[SPEAKER_02]: So some of them are approved.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some are not.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you really have to be care, you know, redefined print when you're doing a lot of this modifications.
[SPEAKER_02]: Read the fine print make sure the state you live in you know up is a it's approved all that is it's fine And the biggest caveat is that it's the most fun you've had in a truck in the biggest caveat Colony we're laughing the entire time like too little like two little boys playing with toy trucks We were like graduating from high school.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean we're
[SPEAKER_01]: We were living high.
[SPEAKER_01]: How much is youth work?
[SPEAKER_01]: How much?
[SPEAKER_01]: How much is reliving your youth?
[SPEAKER_01]: At least 11,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, forget everything else we said.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you want a huge smile, if you want to go and do some badass burnouts and be the biggest F-150 on your block, then this is the way to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that was a lot of fun dude.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to tell what happened with Informante?
[SPEAKER_01]: I had more fun than you did.
[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll tell you why.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to go drive the new RAM.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got to go drive the new RAM.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dodge.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dodge.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: All still answers.
[SPEAKER_01]: And look, I was editing myself as I was speaking because it's under embargo.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I just I can't talk about driving impressions of the new charger.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a new charger and it's the RT.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just a little bit more affordable, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I give you the pricing breakdown and I'll talk about why I'll go I'll turn this to the truck really quickly, but so there's a new RT which has 420 horsepower.
[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't driving impression and basically what it is is a $49,000 American muscle car.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you want the Skat Pack, which has the high output hurricane, which gives you another 130 horsepower, then it's 54 starting.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you want the EV, the Daytona, then it's 59, so 49, 54, $5,000 increments.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you want four doors instead of two doors, if you need the space in the back, then it's $2,000 more.
[SPEAKER_01]: So for $61,000, I'm sorry, for $51,000 give or take, you can have a four-door muscle car.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is pretty good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks like it looks really bad as.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to drive that in the snow in Vermont because we have no snow and Vermont does.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you want to know how it drives, come back next week or go to Altiafella, I did a comparison of the RT to the Skat Pack to the Daytona.
[SPEAKER_01]: Can I do a little rant here?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do people like my rant?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do a rant.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually spoke with the CEO of Dodge about this and he put up with my ran.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if he can put up with it, maybe you guys can too.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll ask you this question, I'll see if you think I'm right here.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, maybe you too, Cole.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what my, what my beef is is that they've gone great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so first of all, let's take a step back.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love the fact that they're using real names.
[SPEAKER_01]: Daytona, Skat Pack, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Great, better than like, you know, ZX-15, you know, T-I, I don't, I love real name.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love real, but they've gone overboard, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: So in this lineup, you not only have a six pack, but you have a Scott Pack.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have a Daytona, you have an RT.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're going to have a Hellcat.
[SPEAKER_01]: or a hemie or something.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have a demon.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just, I'm just scratching the surface with like, you know, you have a gel break.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just scratching the surface of like, names that they use.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it gets very confusing because like the, the, the, the chart, it's a charger RT or six pack or scat pack.
[SPEAKER_01]: You see what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like too much, too much of a good thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that was my run.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like just pick, pick a,
[SPEAKER_01]: designation or model or name and stick with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like make it hellcat or, you know, you know, like how Prius tried to become its own brand.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and didn't quite work, but how about hellcat everything?
[SPEAKER_01]: Just, you know, it's a hellcat or heavy everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or yeah, that's another one, heavy, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Heavy everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, just, you know.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I see, kind of.
[SPEAKER_01]: You see what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's a bumblebee on one of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: But that is love there.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I love their logos that I love most of their names.
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of it, you know, it's also Fred's onic.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you also have that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: You also have the Fred's onic thing on the front of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: They'll be a symbol.
[SPEAKER_01]: So potentially you've got charger.
[SPEAKER_01]: six packs get packed for exotic wow that's that's what you got there is that's like four for brands in one it's too much too much anyway anyway let us know what you think yeah let us know what you think
[SPEAKER_01]: on my off-base, maybe you like Andre, maybe you love all this stuff, it's fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's better than like I said, QX-15, ZX-25, or whatever the hell, you know, Alphorn America stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I did get the drive, the Durango Hellcat, gel break.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's ninety five thousand dollars.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, and yeah, so we recently had it too here, but not on the snow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not on the snow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but I got to drive it in the in the snow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that embargo?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's not embargo.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's embargo.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
[SPEAKER_01]: The it was such a hoot on Dre.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean
[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, okay, did you feel like you broke out from jail?
[SPEAKER_01]: I did.
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like I broke out from jail.
[SPEAKER_01]: The design is getting a little dated.
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, of course, they got sued because they said that they were going to only Hellcat some of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, this is the fifth year now that they've Hellcat it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because it was like the final edition.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the owner said, hey, we lost a little more money.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the judge ruled that that's on you, the manufacturer actually is interesting.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the owners who bought them said, hey, you said you're only going to build.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the number is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say it's a thousand and only for limited time, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Only for a limited time.
[SPEAKER_01]: And in fact, you went and built them for the next five years.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that took the value out of ours because we bought ours as an investment.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the judge came back and he said,
[SPEAKER_01]: At the time when they said that, they believed what they were saying, so you can't sue them.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was basically the ruling.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you believe what you're saying at the time, if there was no plan to build more, so at the time, I think Kineska said, yeah, this is going to be it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the thing's changed, the dealers came to him and said these things are selling like hot case because it's because thought about it and he said you know what, we should make another model a year, but at the time when he said it, that's what they were going to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's what the judge said.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm not a, I'm not a legal eagle, but that's how it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, anyway, I love the truck, and I'll tell you what I love about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I counted the number of buttons in the center console.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guess how many buttons it has in the world of all screens.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guess how many buttons this thing has and dials 21 26 buttons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, and three dials.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, that's a lot of buttons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I loved it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was so refreshing to just be able to look and see, oh, there's a little icon of an air conditioner or a seat for some people to see, you know.
[SPEAKER_01]: It says AC, I hit it and the AC comes on.
[SPEAKER_01]: How refreshing.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you don't know what you've lost until you've lost it.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to scroll through 15 pages.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to figure out, you want to turn something off, you want to turn off stability control.
[SPEAKER_01]: Push it button.
[SPEAKER_01]: Easy peasy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and of course, I forgot.
[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot.
[SPEAKER_01]: God, I'm dry.
[SPEAKER_01]: It made me want the TRX so bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot just how intoxicated.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it has the wine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: You drove a supercharged V8 and I did too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you just, that, that there's that perfect harmony of intake wine and exhaust note.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Where it's like you get this wonderful superchargerate that's spooling up.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like,
[SPEAKER_01]: You can hear those RPMs, and then out the back, you can hear the god laughing, the god laughing, and the exhaust note that is almost perfect in my mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the combination of the two, oh, I would use a big old for that, I'll never time I floored it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was so gratifying.
[SPEAKER_01]: And back then, gas was still cheap, this was in the beginning of the week, so I wasn't too
[SPEAKER_02]: If you go sideways, were you on ice, I didn't afford on ice, because it didn't have snow tires.
[SPEAKER_01]: That would have been just, that would be useless, then.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I waited until we got off the snow, and then I floored it.
[SPEAKER_01]: What a wonderful experience that is, and I had only, I think Dodge made the claim that this is the highest performing, most powerful three row you can buy, that's internal combustion.
[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that somebody can fact check me on that, but I believe that's the case, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, a 3-row, 3-row, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because the S-clade V is also supercharged, but it has a little bit less power.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so they said it's the most, so I was kind of, I was like, Oh, what if that's true?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not true if you compare it to the Riviera R1S quad motor, which I think is... Or the homer, CVS.
[SPEAKER_02]: But those, oh, but the homer is 2-row, it's not 3-row.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, our one S is three, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's electric.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they said internal combustion.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I give it a little, like, you know, I hate what manufacturers do this.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, we can tell the most except in this segment only on a sunny day, you know, that's, no, that's.
[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Jonathan has a couple of comments.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll also have the comments on Patreon, I think.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Jonathan says, if you're making modification,
[SPEAKER_02]: If you make a modification though, it has to be reversible, you know, so otherwise you will lose a lot of out, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the comment that Jonathan is making.
[SPEAKER_01]: But then you got to spend money to reverse it?
[SPEAKER_02]: I know, you have to spend money to reverse it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you got to spend money to store that crap.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or salad.
[SPEAKER_01]: We have a, we have, you know, at the ranch, we have a container full of stuff where we've kept it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just in there because, you know, we had to clean out, we should talk about that too.
[SPEAKER_01]: We should talk about the cool car this week and we have a really cool video.
[SPEAKER_01]: Andre's uncle gave us a car.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's your cool car.
[SPEAKER_01]: He gave us the car.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been looking for this car.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to that.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've been looking for this car for like the last 10 years and he just out of the blue.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just said here take it because we were renting his garage.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I pay just to move.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he's moving.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's staying with his daughter in Italy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that's fair to see us.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so he's sung the house and I paid rent for the full year and he's such a nice man.
[SPEAKER_01]: So instead of giving me the money back, he said, you know what, just take the car.
[SPEAKER_01]: And and I would rather have the car actually than the money because it was useful in the car is so cool It's such a cool car anyway The reason I was talking about that is because there was so much crap in there, right that we that we saved Yeah, where we took it off because we were modest because he's not sure if you're gonna use it again
[SPEAKER_01]: whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like this guy said, right, to save it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so then it's just, like, uh-huh, again, our container at the, uh, at the ranch, we have this giant set of ram side steps.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember we took the side steps off.
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you do with those?
[SPEAKER_01]: They're just, they're huge.
[SPEAKER_01]: They weigh like 50 pounds each and they're just sitting there cluttering stuff up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: What are some other comments?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Dawn is actually, I think, looking into the future because, uh, down on our list, um, Dawn, uh, Megahan, once I said, talk about the cat truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah, well, definitely talk about that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we have a video and I screwed it up, so I apologize.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll, we'll talk about that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: We are taking a video down there.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Elliot says he appreciates your rents.
[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Elliot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Any on Patreon?
[SPEAKER_01]: Any on Patreon?
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: For now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about what did Tommy published this my uncle's car video.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it goes up Sunday.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about the cat truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, let's do it so I we didn't so I was I was grumpy and I like well I think you and I had a reason to be grumpy first of all.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was also grumpy I was grumpy and I was tired.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because I had got I had gotten up like a two in the morning and I Forget what happened, but I was grumpy and I was angry at I'd ram because
[SPEAKER_01]: we got a boat ton of emails from viewers a few years ago saying that ram was building a pickup truck and everybody can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, a cat was building a pickup truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and everybody was asking us what we thought about it, why are we weren't covering it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was a bunch of AI that somebody had just put together a cat truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then this week at the Vegas show, cat came out with their truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the truck was basically a rebadged fourth for 50.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: That showcased their technology because obviously with AI and with technology, caterpillar has gotten very deep into having a lot of remote control stuff,
[SPEAKER_01]: Had all kinds of showcase showcase of all that technology, and I was grumpy about it because I kind of felt like if they were going to build a real Let's say full size truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: They should have actually built it and that rebranded and not and then that in my opinion Done kind of a goofy job.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to use a word goofy because I used something much harder harshier than that, but it was a goofy job on a F 450 in yellow
[SPEAKER_01]: So, what's your coil?
[SPEAKER_02]: We have some, I was also very grumpy by the way, so can you show some other images like of the grill coal?
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're watching us, you could see it, it's a drill on the roof that it deployed.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is a drill on the roof, so basically what happened a couple years ago is fake news, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Because people basically spread this rumor that caterpillars building a pickup truck.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, and caterpillar brand has a lot of value, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they make diesel engines for big trucks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, they make engines for a lot of military vehicles as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, there's a lot of value because pickup trucks, guys and gals really appreciate, you know, bigger vehicles, and also construction equipment, which is, I think, really cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: And there was a bunch of fake news.
[SPEAKER_02]: But now, instead of addressing the fake news that I felt like they didn't, right, because we asked I asked them, they did this, basically rebranding a Ford superduty as a cat vehicle, which is okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I understand that, but they didn't quite explain, hey, we're not building a pickup truck, we're just showcasing
[SPEAKER_02]: Art technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I was grumpy because there's so much fake news out there now that we need to be very specific about what we're doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I don't know if can't doesn't want to get into the business of building full-size pickup trucks, maybe maybe this is not their wheelhouse, which makes a lot of sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I just felt, and I still feel like, why, I don't understand, I just don't get what this accomplishes for them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand how.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, how this promotes their business.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it promotes their business because we're keep talking about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess that's all I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you see what I'm saying.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're not selling forwards.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but the people who own cats probably own forwards also.
[SPEAKER_01]: But if, okay, so let's say you want to do the show, and you want to showcase your technology, why wouldn't you show a skid steer or something that you actually build at the show and then have that control remotely?
[SPEAKER_01]: Or should you have that technology in the thing that you're selling?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just don't understand what the point of, or if you're going to showcase a technology, why rebrand the F450 as a caterpillar when you're not building it, why not just have an F450 and the technology in a different color?
[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, and say hey if you drive into the work site We've got all this cool tech.
[SPEAKER_01]: You might be driving a four-year-up journey or whatever it is, but here's the tech But why do this as my brand at this cat as cat?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then and madly like if you show that interior It's like they took the cat little going just covered it up covered up the Ford logo
[SPEAKER_01]: with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: On the steering wheel.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That just seems just seems like it just seems hokey to me.
[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, so that's where we were on this.
[SPEAKER_02]: So did Don, can you show me the comment again call on Patreon here?
[SPEAKER_02]: So he says I know the Ford badges have been removed, but the cat doesn't manufacture vehicles that can use their engines and transmissions.
[SPEAKER_02]: And
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... in the class of the vehicle so partnering with a company like for just make sense maybe for will put a cat logo on the their deals like jamb put alison on their trucks but did this is a partnership with for no this isn't this isn't like the harley
[SPEAKER_01]: partnership where where they actually brought me with Harley and then Ford or a subcontractor of Ford's Bills this is all internally done with cat with cat.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a demo where there's no Ford involvement here and cat specified that later Yes, we did say this was not a partnership with Ford.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so this is just cat So they're going out there on their own, but they could
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if this, if this gets enough traction, right, it's feasible according to Don's comment, also that, you know, Ford may, may want to use some of this branding together, right, the Ford and Cat could work together.
[SPEAKER_02]: But Ford has been so,
[SPEAKER_02]: specific over the last decade, they build their own diesels, they build their own transmissions, right, and they're very proud of, you know, combining all that stuff by themselves.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't, I don't think they're going to use cat, cat brand.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it wouldn't be worth a phone call.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they're that phone call took place, but if I was doing this, I'd be like, hey guys, let's call it Ford, and let's see if we can do a partnership where we,
[SPEAKER_01]: co-brand our vehicles together because a lot of their customers are on our job sites and vice versa a lot of you know our machine is at there their customer is used a lot of our machinery so let's do something together because the problem I have with it and this is a personal thing
[SPEAKER_01]: It just looks, it looks thrown together, and to me, and I'm not being grumpy here, but I'm sorry, it just looks, doesn't look good.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Ford knows how to build a pickup, so Ford, the designers, had been there.
[SPEAKER_01]: They would have actually made this thing look like something that's desirable, as opposed to something that somebody kind of just decided to wrap up at 450 and stick some catalogues on it, and throw a bunch of tech on it, and a drone on the roof of college done.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it would have been something desirable.
[SPEAKER_01]: or caterpillar branded F 450 or 350.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be really cool health.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you're gonna do it, why don't you at least put some trends on it?
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, that's not that hard, not that hard to do.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been, it's exists.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can buy those threads to all of a sudden.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's just, just off top of my head.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's like, ah, that's, you know, throw some threads.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, caterpillar has a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Caterpillar comes from treads, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it's like.
[SPEAKER_01]: Caterpillar, a million little feet, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: So go and look into your heritage and then go buy some of those treads.
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you can slap on a pickup truck and start with that?
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, well, next.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk to you on a talk about the very expensive tracks.
[SPEAKER_01]: What you ate.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: What did you eat in Detroit?
[SPEAKER_01]: I have a picture.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: We have a picture.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Colony, uh, can I take a guess?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, before we show it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, is it, okay, okay, I'm gonna take some guesses.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is it Rocky Mountain oysters?
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't read that, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is it alligator?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's actually not very exotic.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not very exotic.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not super exotic, but it's a little strange.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, colonis are spaghetti.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is, this is, hold on a second.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're showing a picture of the spaghetti.
[SPEAKER_02]: Spaghetti door.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, colonis are fans of M&M.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate the music.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eminem.
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
[SPEAKER_02]: You ate Eminem's.
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
[SPEAKER_02]: We were on a mission to find mom spaghetti, which is related to an Eminem song.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's actually a spaghetti.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Disney's like, I have a mom spaghetti all over it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll sweaty you with.
[SPEAKER_01]: My poems are sweaty.
[SPEAKER_01]: How does it remind me of vomit on my sweater and mom spaghetti?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's that's the lyric.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, she see call.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's doing like one of these like, you know face plans surface.
[SPEAKER_01]: He looks calm and ready But for locals like more don't stop.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's no wrapping.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is cringe.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has a caterpillar
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so we really wanted to Yes, it's like 25 years old But we still appreciate it.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I imagine there was a restaurant that you could enter an eat mom spaghetti Which is amazing but but but but it's but it's a window serve So it's like it's mostly like summer weather yeah some of weather where you come up to a window you order like a little box of spaghetti Okay, it comes in different flavors
[SPEAKER_02]: And you can go outside and just eat a little bit of spaghetti.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like a food truck with spaghetti.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is amazing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Except it was really cold.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, not really cold.
[SPEAKER_02]: But we wanted to sit down.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so we...
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, here's the window.
[SPEAKER_02]: So here's the window.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you see that sign?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this downtown Detroit?
[SPEAKER_02]: This is downtown Detroit.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this has a big science as mom spaghetti, which is really cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: So because we wanted to sit down, we decided to go inside the assembly place, the next door, place.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I ordered a Coney Pizza.
[SPEAKER_01]: is it's a coney island hot dog yes but it's a pizza oh that's so cool so it's a pizza with coney island hot dogs is that mustard on top yes so have you have you had a pizza with mustard no no I mean people people think that like pineapple is is yeah yeah that's where it ends but you just went way beyond that it looks good actually I would eat that there's chili
[SPEAKER_01]: Coney Island dog gonna be it looks delicious if you guys aren't watching this you should be on YouTube because This is over at TFL talk the YouTube channel.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could actually see this I'm under here making me hungry That's you've got a salad a Coney Island pizza.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what's cool?
[SPEAKER_01]: What were eating?
[SPEAKER_02]: You look what were you look at Cole's plate Yeah, what's in your plate Cole's plate has a gigantic Rubin.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh a giant Rubin sandwich and an ice is that nice to you drinking
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... it was uh... Arnold Palmer uh... it's delicious uh... while i'm getting hungry except for the ions on the sale which i hate everything else i was i would snarf up so i looked at the subcult because we were wondering why coney island because it's new york right was it good yes but it was confused if you try call
[SPEAKER_02]: So it was confusing Roman because I ate pizza slice, but it tasted like a hot dog So it wasn't sure what I was eating first of all the pizza square, which is and it's kind of unusual.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so New York style so Cole, I looked this up and Coney Originated in the early 1900s with the roots heavily tied to Greek and Macedonian immigrants in Michigan
[SPEAKER_02]: So it was it was inspired by Coney Island, New York But it's really has the history is rooted in Michigan I mean it's really clever.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like if you took a Coney Island hot dog, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: And you played it open and put it on a pizza I know no you played it open the actual bun you played open and then you squared off the bun Then that's what you'd get you'd have like an open face It's like an open face It's a funny island hot dog.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you ate.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: I might I might add mustard
[SPEAKER_01]: And catch up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you eat that whole thing?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's huge.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're able to eat that whole thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I killed it.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's got to be like, I would bet that's at least 1200 calories.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, at least I'm not losing any weight any time soon But it's cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would never guess that okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: That was so cool because yeah, it wasn't Rocky Mountain noise too much.
[SPEAKER_01]: We did a cost.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I don't know Did you build a company for it?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, we went out.
[SPEAKER_02]: We went out.
[SPEAKER_02]: We went out.
[SPEAKER_02]: We went deep just we were you couldn't build a company for it.
[SPEAKER_02]: That wouldn't find but that should brought one back for me
[SPEAKER_01]: Next time, maybe we could order it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Can they fly a Kony Island pizza?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm guessing it's not going to be as good as the TV.
[SPEAKER_01]: Andre's been to Detroit like every week in the last three months.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love going to Egypt, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: In the next week, look at this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to Indianapolis, yeah, let's talk about the Indian preview.
[SPEAKER_01]: And what am I going to eat there?
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you're going to eat.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what Indianapolis known for.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's takes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, stakes.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the best stake I've ever had was an Indian apple.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you're there going for the for the truck work show the work show and let's do a preview.
[SPEAKER_01]: What you're going next week?
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you expect to see there besides a lot of big stakes trucks and stakes?
[SPEAKER_01]: I've always been an F. Let's know fruit steaks.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know they have good house.
[SPEAKER_01]: I always think like Texas they don't do the half cows that they slaughter cows I like the cows are here and then they go then they get shipped to Chicago where they do the butchering right where they have the stockyards
[SPEAKER_01]: How did Indianapolis get into this?
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know the history.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe our listeners can do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying they shouldn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm curious as to how Indianapolis became known for stakes.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not really going for stakes.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going because work track shows really cool because you can see some unique vehicles, big trucks, commercial vehicles.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, there is some news that I cannot discuss, that I'm going to be shown there, so there is some stuff from RAM, some stuff from a Ford, and I'm looking forward to many other news because, you know, just, it's not just the pickup truck manufacturers, it's also, you know, the manufacturers that build, you know, different truck beds and different accessories.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking forward, next week, we'll have it on this channel.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking forward to your patent pending.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're walk around?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you're wonderful walk arounds of the show.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like being there, Andre.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like being there with an expert.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I can't wait until next week till we can actually go hands on with a lot of these.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you love trucks and if you love knowing the inside take on trucks, this is the video that's coming.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that's coming next week to our this channel podcast uh...
[SPEAKER_02]: It's coming is he going or is he uh... he went to the trailer show uh... last year uh... i wish he was going and i should call him but there should be said there should be some big news from forward so we can look forward and also ram and so ram yeah so so a lot of stuff going on and then there's a lot of like cool insider stuff
[SPEAKER_01]: that you usually don't get.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's very different from, let's say, the New York Auto Show, or the LA Auto Show, or Chicago Auto Show.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is more of a work truck show with all kinds of crazy, expensive, big trucks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: And didn't you drive something there one year?
[SPEAKER_01]: They have a driving thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll tell you about that.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, for example, in previous years, there was really popular, there's electrified semis.
[SPEAKER_02]: So there's some electric semis.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's people from, actually, Allison is a big player because Allison is a company in the company.
[SPEAKER_02]: The company, Allison, dropping names, transmission.
[SPEAKER_02]: We love, we love her trucks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just mission transmissions company.
[SPEAKER_02]: They also built other components, they're from Indianapolis.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they're huge there.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so you could drive like vans, delivery vehicles, semi-truits, comments out of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, also coal.
[SPEAKER_02]: There was a company that long lived this canoe.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, to remember there was a really popular video that we had, the way that canoe video.
[SPEAKER_01]: Where's comes out of, are there any, are there somewhere in the mountains?
[SPEAKER_02]: It's from Columbus, Ohio, Columbus, Indiana.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought they were in, I somehow in the back of my mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you'll have come in this also out of.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I get confused because it was Columbus, Ohio, and it was Columbus in the end.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so, but yes, anyway, so I wrote in a canoe electric vehicle that no longer exists, the company went bankrupt.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, there is a lot of interesting stuff that can happen.
[SPEAKER_02]: The box.
[SPEAKER_01]: The scrapyard of the electric trucks, the electric truck manufacturers along in windy tail of people with great ideas and not as many to execute them.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to create an out of
[SPEAKER_01]: amount of company.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we could do a whole podcast on that, all of the companies that have tried, specifically even electric trucks, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's many of this graph heap of history.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Two more objects before we wrap this up, on the top.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Ram tungsten 1500, due to the video on this $94,000, at least $94,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me what makes a half ton worth $94,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a truck you drove when you were in Detroit this week.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: I also drove that with coal and so we published a video.
[SPEAKER_02]: So just a caveat that this is not like a TRX Because a TRX can be more expensive.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a hurricane powered.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a hurricane powered luxury truck Which is a street truck Here's one.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a new color by the way Roman molten red they call red.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's really nice.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got a lot of like shine to it Yeah, and also it was a cloudy overcast day.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little muddy
[SPEAKER_02]: But it still pops, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: It still pops, even with low light.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that truck looks very, a lot of chrome.
[SPEAKER_01]: It looks very elegant.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say elegant would be the word that you don't usually associate with half tons, but this one looks elegant.
[SPEAKER_02]: I called it not quite a lying baker in the Tuxedo, but like an Olympian and a Olympic athlete in a nice suit.
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to say it's refreshing that you have a top
[SPEAKER_01]: Western.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not it's not, you know, we put some big old king ranch stuff on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Orange horns on the front of it, but made the interior full of all kinds of dead cow leather, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's nice and crocodile.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this truck, this truck, exactly like this truck would look at home in Manhattan.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you could actually afford to have a truck in Manhattan,
[SPEAKER_02]: This or, well actually, I think a lot of people have a lot of money in Manhattan and that's in a lot of, it's not like that's refreshing that they didn't go Western, you know, they also have Western, they have long warrants in the United States, but this is, and cold, but I think the interesting part is the interior, because the interior is actually, it looks like it's worth the money.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_02]: Like a lot of luxurious pickup trucks, you kind of look at the interior and you're like, okay, it's nice, but it's not that nice, this interior, the materials they use and like for example the knobs, they're all metal, like you touch the volume knob or they're start button, I like the patterning on the seat as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: The seat is nice, it has massaging seats, of course.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's really, and the seat controls are on the door, like Mercedes would have done, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: The Mercedes have been doing that for years.
[SPEAKER_02]: It has 22 speakers, it has...
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know everything.
[SPEAKER_02]: You see there's a massaging button for the seat.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I take it to get to 94,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: You need a lot of features.
[SPEAKER_01]: You need a lot of bells and whistles.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Massaging seats.
[SPEAKER_01]: Got it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Heated seats.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ventilated seats.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ventilated in the front and the back.
[SPEAKER_02]: Big ass center?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, panoramic center.
[SPEAKER_02]: Heated steering wheel?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... fourteen point four inch display you got it uh... so the other break the trailer yes they didn't forget that uh... but break the trailer is also digital you know see part of it is digital and part of it is not digital which is kind of weird fifteen hundred cameras uh... put lots of cameras in different dramas also the tailgate is got the fancy tailgate you know the one that opened by the barn door or it opens uh...
[SPEAKER_02]: Not a lot of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: For this better it does.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a tailgate.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a tailgate right there.
[SPEAKER_02]: A 10-out cover.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, yes, ton of cover.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got ramboxes on the side, the side steps.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got, so really, it's got 540 horsepower.
[SPEAKER_02]: It has the same engine, the high output engine that's in your scat pack, six-pack,
[SPEAKER_02]: What'd you call it?
[SPEAKER_02]: Six-packs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Get a pack.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see.
[SPEAKER_02]: But no.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to make it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Gel break.
[SPEAKER_01]: Gel break.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got a high output engine.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's got the power.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got the looks.
[SPEAKER_01]: OK, I guess there's one question that people wondering about.
[SPEAKER_01]: Would you pay $94,000 for a top end half ton?
[SPEAKER_01]: Not a heavy duty half ton.
[SPEAKER_02]: personally no yeah it seems like that's a small it's a it's a unique i think it's a unique customer i i think i'm trying to think maybe somebody who lives in Manhattan might might do that uh... but i think so it competes with like a platinum in the forward a platinum plus or capstone tundra or even denali ultimate right truck from uh... gmc uh... but this week your king ranch and i spit on it exactly
[SPEAKER_02]: So, but that truck feels expensive.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, some of these trucks, once again, you enter and it's kind of a sea of gray or black, this truck actually feels expensive.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, and it will told 90 to 100 pounds.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, it's not a huge amount, it's not the class leading, towing for this particular luxury truck, but maybe you could tell your horses, you know, to the next Kentucky Derby or something like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just thinking about, if I were building, like, if you're going that expensive, could you take some of the, let's say, some of the cues from the luxury car market.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, you know, Cadillac is doing this very expensive, Rolls Royce does a bespoke is a good word, cars that are, you know, $2,300,000.
[SPEAKER_01]: Usually, if you're going to go expensive in the truck world, you give it a bigger engine.
[SPEAKER_01]: give a more power, more utility, but could you go the other route and actually give it more style and more bespoke, more personalized creature comforts because you don't really see that often in the truck world.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly and I think you could because in my mind what's luxury, luxury is also comfort which means space, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: You have to have a large vehicle and these
[SPEAKER_02]: They have a lot of room inside.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like a different definition of luxury than we've been.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you an example of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: When I was in Japan, one of the most luxurious vehicles you could buy there is a van.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you think yourself a van, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: What's the only one?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think about like many vans and kids with Cheerios and dirty fingers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or we think about work vans.
[SPEAKER_01]: utility vans but we don't think about luxury but in Japan imagine this you have a van and then that entire back area is devoted to the person who is not driving it but who owns it and who is past enduring it so first thing they do is they put this enormous TV screen at the front of a 15 inch screen right right the front and you can't see the driver so there's a wall there and that wall is all TV then instead of regular seats they put in the private airplane jet
[SPEAKER_01]: a champagne cooler in the back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Think of like a think of what you would think of in the back of a colon in Rolls Royce or a Bentley Bentega and then it's all bespoke back there and then you have the thing that I suspect is the most luxurious of all a lot of space.
[SPEAKER_01]: because space is luxury, so you don't feel cramped, you can feel like there is just a ton of space for you to feel comfortable in.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have this thing quietly and luxuriously waft you through the middle of Tokyo where you are completely enclosed in your own little luxury cocoon exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: probably not like that but something similar where you take some of those luxury appointments and put it into a pickup truck and then you get over $100,000 and you give people a reason to spend that much money or would you be like laughed off the what's called the work site if you showed up in something that goofy.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't feel like I don't know if you're going to the work site, though, in a track like this, you might be going to your country club, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: You might be going up to your golf, you know, with your golfing buddies.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I think, and I've been saying this forever now, but Toyota, I think this would sell Lexus, exactly, a Lexus, I knew where you were going, that's where I'm going with yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, but they, they look at me like I'm crazy.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the first thing I've been to anybody at whenever I say that they say blackwood and I'm like that Ford completely you know what for you know what they did with the blackwood I should say Lincoln But it's really for you know I didn't know this until recently They had a tan-out cover and they had this like which is cool and they had this like you know real wooden floor But in order to hide the cutouts for the wheel wells They moved the whole thing up so they mean to bet small Yeah, they took any utility space out of the thing and made it into this like long
[SPEAKER_01]: narrow actually not narrow, but in height wise narrow trunk.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you know I bless you.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I was thinking as we're closing this episode.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we gotta get to your uncle's car Oh my gosh, don't forget that before we close this week.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna tell him what your uncle gave us So his uncle I want no, I want to see a Bugatti pickup truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think that makes sense?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, come on, no, I think you've pushing the envelope of what a pickup truck could be a little too far.
[SPEAKER_01]: But space, you could kind of get away with like a best lead pickup or a Rolls Royce, but a Bugatti, no, something else, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, what about my uncle's truck?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what about your uncle's truck?
[SPEAKER_01]: So his uncle gave us a go ahead, tell him it's your uncle.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a 1995 Isuzu rodeo.
[SPEAKER_01]: How cool is that?
[SPEAKER_01]: First-gen rodeo.
[SPEAKER_02]: First-gen rode over 200,000 miles, 238,000 miles in manual manual five-speed with low range and low and roll-up windows Yes, no air conditioning on patreon.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have a very tough video
[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I think the Tars at 12 years old, and bald, and a tick, it's got a tick, but apparently it's not a valve-trained tick, it's a, there it is, there's a picture, I love this thing, oh wow, Tommy and Kase did the video, wow, it's coming up really nice, we're going to do the classic video this weekend, so if you want to see this thing go through its paces in your pit Andre, then you
[SPEAKER_01]: bit of history.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we called our friend Andy, who's also a mechanic.
[SPEAKER_02]: He works on the variety of different things and Andy's owns Honda Passports first gen, which is the same vehicle.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically rebranded and he's like, oh, yeah, they all tick.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll take it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a valve tick apparently not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's some sort of a valve tick.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the engine's not blown out of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't think.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I drove it actually, and I drove like 50 miles an hour, and it felt really nice and comfortable.
[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't shake.
[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't wobble.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now gear is going through very easily.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It does, it does drip some oil.
[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of work.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I call him Uncle G. So Uncle G. Thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you very much.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was that was very sweet and what a sweet sweet guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the guy's over at Smith's in the foot say.
[SPEAKER_01]: What a gentleman of a guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to learn more about the Susan rodeo, stay tuned.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or check out all TFL.
[SPEAKER_01]: Any other questions that we can answer before we wrap this up, Cole?
[SPEAKER_01]: TFL food tasting Andre, I think James May is doing that.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's good at that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but you know what, I don't know if I'm good at this.
[SPEAKER_01]: You'd be good at it, I think you'd be really good at it, especially if the promise you've got to find a lot more Coney Island pizzas, it can't just be like, you can't be like, I'm just trying another burger.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's got to be something like has to be something unusual unique, but you know what, I think the ambience matters a lot to me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so like if, you know, if you said, you know, come over to my garage and eat a hot dog pizza and be like, You know, you could do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you just, you just put your finger exactly on how you would do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: How every meal you have to eat and pick up.
[SPEAKER_01]: That would work.
[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know how Ford has that folder thing where you fold this center console.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, literally, literally, it's a daily fast food.
[SPEAKER_01]: TFL food to no fast food because it's moving and you'd have to do it while you're while the self driving is driving exactly or while you're driving yeah like you hold the you hold the drink you know awkwardly no and while you're no that's okay that's but actually you didn't pick up by your part yes it's not a bad idea hey thank you John okay hey we have we have the name come out call what's the name if we name my
[SPEAKER_02]: Pick up your pickup food.
[SPEAKER_02]: Pick up food, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Pick up food.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just keep it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, pick up grub.
[SPEAKER_02]: Pick up grub.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pick up grub.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pick up grub.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's when we go to mom spaghetti.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's, you know, I've been looking for, actually, I want to do this now, because I've been looking for something creative to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been kind of feeling like we've been stagnating.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I'm pushing this woolly mammoth challenge because I
[SPEAKER_01]: Pick up Grab.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's seriously.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, I was thinking what we should do for a video.
[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't done it yet.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember how we used to do the Snarves Challenge, where we try to get it to navigate the Snarves.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we go from our old offices.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it'd be fun to do a video where we actually go into Snarves and actually show us eating some Snarves, because after all those episodes, people might be wondering, because Snarves is a local Colorado chain, you might be wondering what they're going to do.
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have some unique sandwiches, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, let's do our first episode of Pickup Grab and go to Snarves and pick up and
