<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, Welcome to Game Mess Mornings with Me Jeff Greb, <v Speaker 1>your host from giant bomb dot com. Thank you for <v Speaker 1>tuning in. In this episode, we're going to be talking <v Speaker 1>about that Nintendo Direct getting confirmed and a CEO is <v Speaker 1>concerned now that the AI wolves are at his door. <v Speaker 1>It's gonna be a good one because we have Jason <v Speaker 1>Bonelli on the show. <v Speaker 2>Jason, how are you doing? We are doing well on <v Speaker 2>a Wednesday morning. Excited to talk about Nintendo Direct, Excited <v Speaker 2>to get into the news here. But going through a <v Speaker 2>phase recently where I'm watching a lot of old retro <v Speaker 2>gaming long plays on YouTube. Games, games I haven't played <v Speaker 2>a long time that I really liked as a kid, <v Speaker 2>and I am beginning to realize how much sculptured software, <v Speaker 2>if that name sounds familiar, impacted my childhood. They had <v Speaker 2>their hands in the home ports of Mortal Kombat. They <v Speaker 2>helped develop all the old WWF games like Super WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>and Royal Rumble and Roll, and the Super Nintendo they <v Speaker 2>did what to me is the best adaptation of this <v Speaker 2>game of all time. Clue on Super Nintendo and say, <v Speaker 2>if you've ever played them, it's check them out. It's <v Speaker 2>a different take on it, where instead of just playing <v Speaker 2>the normal board game, you have like your cards or whatever, <v Speaker 2>and whenever you go into a room, you make a <v Speaker 2>suggestion and this like scene plays out like there's a <v Speaker 2>DM controlling clue. It's wild, and then you get your <v Speaker 2>clues from there and you make your accusation. But it's <v Speaker 2>a lot of They really had their hands in a <v Speaker 2>lot of stuff before a claim bought them, and even <v Speaker 2>after a claim bought them. Interesting to go down that <v Speaker 2>historical rabbit hole. How are you, Jeff? I'm pretty good. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, staying busy as always, keep trying to make time <v Speaker 1>for other games and then keep going back. <v Speaker 2>I do. <v Speaker 1>I'm still playing Sectory, so I'm not doing great. Not <v Speaker 1>being honest with you. If I'm still doing it, that <v Speaker 1>really have not broken the habit. Uh But yeah, no, <v Speaker 1>it's good. Steff's got a trip to Switzerland here pretty soon. Uh, <v Speaker 1>so we're getting prepared for that, going to make sure <v Speaker 1>that I. <v Speaker 2>A vacation. It's a work trip. Yeah. Is it in <v Speaker 2>a certain city? It is? <v Speaker 1>I'm trying to think it's what would be the say, <v Speaker 1>the certain city that you're thinking it could, because it's <v Speaker 1>probably is it? <v Speaker 2>Is it a Geneva convention. It's yes, yes, she's she <v Speaker 2>used to. It was. <v Speaker 1>It was her idea that salting the earth not cool, guys, <v Speaker 1>No salting the earth of your enemies. Uh yeah, no <v Speaker 1>she's not. She might be near Geneva, but or flying <v Speaker 1>into Geneva, but I'm not sure if that's where she's staying. <v Speaker 2>Either way. <v Speaker 1>While we get Jason Finelli's goofs out of him early <v Speaker 1>in the show, here, we probably should explain ourselves. <v Speaker 2>Let's do that real quick. <v Speaker 1>We're giant bum independent video game dufesis out here on <v Speaker 1>our own. You <v Speaker 1>can also catch the show later with chapters and timestamps <v Speaker 1>on YouTube. <v Speaker 2>Hello YouTube. <v Speaker 1>All right, we have a lot to get into, so <v Speaker 1>let's start the morning mess with quick curveball I forgot <v Speaker 1>Yeah Neo. <v Speaker 2>Three reviews are out. <v Speaker 1>It has an eighty six on Open Critic, doing very <v Speaker 1>very well. <v Speaker 2>Yes, people seem to like it quite a bit. <v Speaker 1>Out a four out of five on Eurogamer from dom Pepiat, <v Speaker 1>who says innovation is the key to success for Team Ninja, <v Speaker 1>and they spelled that as ki as in yeah, uh. <v Speaker 2>See, everyone's got goose today. <v Speaker 1>That's the key to success for Team Ninja and Coe <v Speaker 1>Techmo as Neo three iterates on the formula once more <v Speaker 1>to take an already great massacre. Yeah Masso core series <v Speaker 1>to New Heights also has a four point five from <v Speaker 1>The Gamer from George Foster, who says Neo three may <v Speaker 1>stump slightly with its narrative and a bit of bloating <v Speaker 1>from the new open zone design, but it's still far <v Speaker 1>and away the best game in the series to date. <v Speaker 1>Consistently excellent combat, well designed bosses, and a new form <v Speaker 1>that adds even more depth and value to already meticulously <v Speaker 1>put together mechanics makes Neo three more than a worthy <v Speaker 1>challenger to elden Ring. It's so good, in fact, that <v Speaker 1>even after sixty hours, I've already dumped jumped straight into <v Speaker 1>New Game Plus to keep. <v Speaker 2>Getting my fix. Sounds promising, right, Yes, this is the <v Speaker 2>kind of thing you love to see where someone takes <v Speaker 2>a formula like the Soul's formula and makes it into <v Speaker 2>its own thing, and they've slowly built a franchise that <v Speaker 2>now seems to be peaking at the right time. That's wonderful. <v Speaker 2>Wasn't even on my radar because I am allergic to <v Speaker 2>Souls games as we know. But I don't know, man, <v Speaker 2>I've always found the idea of the god was like <v Speaker 2>what Irish write. His name is William. I think in <v Speaker 2>the first two games he was a transplant to Japan. <v Speaker 2>I again, I haven't played them, so if I have <v Speaker 2>that wrong, please correct me. But man, that might be <v Speaker 2>something I can't ignore. Wow, I expected it to be <v Speaker 2>all right, right, like I expected like like eighties, like <v Speaker 2>mid eighties low E's eighty seven. That's wow, eighty six. <v Speaker 1>But still, no, you're right, that's still really difficult to <v Speaker 1>get it for any game. I mean, yeah, only had <v Speaker 1>a couple so far this year get there, like really <v Speaker 1>like a couple like two or three. Karen is like <v Speaker 1>the highest rated new game of any sort of a <v Speaker 1>big acclaim right recently, like an eighty seven. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, Neo. <v Speaker 1>Three is one where it's like you could just see it. <v Speaker 1>Team Ninja's been doing this for a very long time. <v Speaker 1>This is one that is more influenced by Soulsborn games, <v Speaker 1>and they've done that a bunch of times now, not <v Speaker 1>even just with Neo they're also the Strangers of Paradise people, right, <v Speaker 1>they had some like was Wolong? Then is that also <v Speaker 1>Team Ninja Maybe? Either way, it's like they've they've they've <v Speaker 1>had a lot of experience and like it's culminating and <v Speaker 1>something where it's like, oh now they have a ton <v Speaker 1>of confidence and they're sort of strutting their stuff with <v Speaker 1>Neo three, which is a game that's certainly more than <v Speaker 1>just a Soul's born. <v Speaker 2>They have a lot of influences in these games. <v Speaker 1>We are going to be playing this on the site. <v Speaker 1>I think it's I think it's tomorrow. Is that what <v Speaker 1>it is? <v Speaker 2>Jam? When's when? Exactly does that happen? Tomorrow? <v Speaker 1>Mike Minatti, Dan Reikert, and Kayla are going to get <v Speaker 1>together and stream it multiplayer. So I think Mike's gonna <v Speaker 1>have his game going and then he's gonna summon them <v Speaker 1>into his game and it should be it should work <v Speaker 1>out pretty well. But I'm looking forward to watching some <v Speaker 1>of that. That'll be a hell of a crew. All <v Speaker 1>of them are very secoro pilled. Dan's game secoro pilled <v Speaker 1>at the moment, so I think they're all going to <v Speaker 1>have a pretty good time with this, kind of can't <v Speaker 1>wait to see it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that'll be that'll be a fun little uh fun, <v Speaker 2>little chemic I'm curious how the chemistry of that team <v Speaker 2>will work out too. <v Speaker 1>I think it's mostly just gonna be Kayla one shotting <v Speaker 1>everything while those two sit back. <v Speaker 2>That's that's my expectation. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, Neo three, you said you were kind of <v Speaker 1>curious about this one. <v Speaker 2>I am now. Just because I wasn't familiar with Nio <v Speaker 2>one and two or Neo one and two, I wasn't <v Speaker 2>really going to pay much attention to it. But in <v Speaker 2>eighty seven is kind of hard to ignore, right, especially <v Speaker 2>this early in the year is the time where you <v Speaker 2>play the games that are becoming critically acclaimed, so that way, <v Speaker 2>at the end of the year you're primed to not <v Speaker 2>forget them. So yeah, I may have to put a <v Speaker 2>couple hours into this and see what's going on. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's get back to the normally scheduled rundown here. <v Speaker 1>There's a Nintendo Direct partner showcase indeed set for tomorrow <v Speaker 1>at nine am Eastern. The rumors were correct. We can't <v Speaker 1>expect this to be focused on third party games. It will, yes, <v Speaker 1>that's nine am Eastern. It will be switched to and <v Speaker 1>Switch one Games, and it's going to be roughly thirty <v Speaker 1>minutes according to Nintendo. I'm guessing, like I think a <v Speaker 1>lot of people have been saying for a long time, <v Speaker 1>Expedition thirty three will will probably be there. Final Fantasy <v Speaker 1>seven remake just came to switch To. They've been kind <v Speaker 1>of hot and heavy talking about hey, and Rebirth is <v Speaker 1>coming soon. I wouldn't be surprised if Rebirth is right <v Speaker 1>here at this thing, so they can kind of get <v Speaker 1>that thing out there on switch To as well and <v Speaker 1>start focusing all of their efforts on building up excitement <v Speaker 1>for remake Part three. <v Speaker 2>And then beyond that. I don't necessarily know. <v Speaker 1>I guess I'm hoping for some out of nowhere partner games, <v Speaker 1>you know, maybe especially from indie developers, but I want <v Speaker 1>to see the support from third party devs. I'm not <v Speaker 1>sure what do you expect from that? What are you thinking? <v Speaker 1>What are you hoping for? <v Speaker 2>So I am curious just how much Square Renixer is <v Speaker 2>going to be because they still have that was Tails <v Speaker 2>Veliot or Millennium Tails, the Secret of not that Secret <v Speaker 2>of Matter, the other HT two D thing they have <v Speaker 2>gone a fill of Bildia is why it sticks in <v Speaker 2>my head. Uh huh, So I have a feeling we <v Speaker 2>might see more of that. I believe that was a <v Speaker 2>partner director, a straight up direct where that debuted, so <v Speaker 2>that makes sense in this I'm wondering if we'll see <v Speaker 2>a little more on Resident Evil leading up to that launch. <v Speaker 2>I know it was part of the previews that went <v Speaker 2>up on Monday. I think so another trailer for that, <v Speaker 2>maybe the final trailer before launch would make sense. Other <v Speaker 2>than that, I have a weird, like not conspiracy theory, <v Speaker 2>but I just had a thought in my head as <v Speaker 2>for a game that is not on switch to yet, <v Speaker 2>that would make a lot of sense to me. That's <v Speaker 2>techn eight Oh sure. Tech and eight is just announced <v Speaker 2>their third season of Characters on Sunday, and it was <v Speaker 2>odd that they announced three of the four, with the <v Speaker 2>four one one per quarter between now and the end <v Speaker 2>of the year. The fourth one's coming out in the <v Speaker 2>winter with its own stage. Now. The last time they <v Speaker 2>did this, it was Clive announced that the Game Awards, <v Speaker 2>and I would not be surprised to announce the Game <v Speaker 2>Awards again. But if they were to partner with Nintendo <v Speaker 2>and put this put tech and eight on Switch to <v Speaker 2>Perhaps a Nintendo character would not be the first time, <v Speaker 2>and the Nintendo character appeared in a band Dynamico fighting <v Speaker 2>game Lincoln Soul Caliber two famously. That makes sense to <v Speaker 2>me from a from a planning standpoint. <v Speaker 1>I don't agree that that's some good circumstantial evidence for sure. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, and again I have no no backup, no <v Speaker 2>background in photogo on. It's just just a thought. They <v Speaker 2>did say would really soon. As somebody points out in <v Speaker 2>the chat, they did say soon, so, which leads me <v Speaker 2>to believe that that could be more circumstantial evidence here <v Speaker 2>as well. But I'm looking at the I'm looking at <v Speaker 2>an email I sent to Freelance for to editors of <v Speaker 2>the games I'm willing to review, and I'm looking at <v Speaker 2>what might be coming to Switch from them. Is replaced? <v Speaker 2>Was replaced announced for Switch that indy? I don't know. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know retro about right, So replaced kind of <v Speaker 1>has that uh a sort of Blade runnery two D <v Speaker 1>pixel vibes and stuff. <v Speaker 2>Yes, I think it is. <v Speaker 1>It's everything except for no, it's Xbox m PC right now. <v Speaker 1>I don't even know if it's an announce for PlayStation <v Speaker 1>yet so. <v Speaker 2>Okay, so there's that one. There's we haven't heard from <v Speaker 2>mixtape in a while. I don't know if that might <v Speaker 2>get a switch to release. Professor Layton, where the hell <v Speaker 2>has he been? <v Speaker 1>Professor Layton is the Level five game that I was like, okay, <v Speaker 1>so they had Fantasy Life I recently and that definitely <v Speaker 1>was on switch I think that could get a switch <v Speaker 1>to upgrade. <v Speaker 2>There was also they had another game recently. <v Speaker 1>I can't remember, but yes, Professor Layton is definitely the <v Speaker 1>one where it's like, okay, it's been a minute, that <v Speaker 1>was previously in a direct. This is it's time that <v Speaker 1>this is gonna have Switch one and Switch to games. <v Speaker 1>I think Professor Layton was always announced for Switch one <v Speaker 1>and switch To, so this is the time to have <v Speaker 1>that game reappear and be reannounced. I'm hopeful for that <v Speaker 1>if I'm maybe not expecting that. You also mentioned and <v Speaker 1>I namco is Combat eight could could get announced for <v Speaker 1>switch to. I think that they would want to support it. <v Speaker 1>It's at the very least, it seems like a lot <v Speaker 1>of the Japanese publishers are all being like, oh man, <v Speaker 1>we're trying to line up to get as much as <v Speaker 1>we can on on the switch to, and I sort <v Speaker 1>of I think the sort of company leading that charge <v Speaker 1>or leading sort of the strategy for developing games in <v Speaker 1>Japan right now. <v Speaker 2>Capcom they're big on that. All of their. <v Speaker 1>Games seem like they're going to try to get that <v Speaker 1>on on switch to. So I guess maybe a update <v Speaker 1>for Street Fighter six because they've already that was a <v Speaker 1>big launch thing for them. <v Speaker 2>I couldn't. <v Speaker 1>I could see that, like they have new characters, anything <v Speaker 1>new to announce there? <v Speaker 2>Next character is coming in March. They showed off Alex <v Speaker 2>most and some of his most are brocap like Kenny Omega. <v Speaker 1>Yes, so they could like just bring that, like bring <v Speaker 1>that as a sort of teaser trailer, like you just updated. <v Speaker 2>That great great point in the chat. This would be <v Speaker 2>a great place to reintroduce a release date for Men <v Speaker 2>to the hollower that kind of fell off. This would <v Speaker 2>be a good place to do that. And then somebody <v Speaker 2>else had one. I want to make sure I oh <v Speaker 2>I had Sorry, this reminded me too. Uhgma Pragmata was <v Speaker 2>anrama that could definitely show up here. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, honestly, that might be one of the more likely <v Speaker 1>ones because Capcom, like Monster Hunter, Wilds is the is <v Speaker 1>the question marketing, not because Capcom wouldn't want to do <v Speaker 1>it just because of the tech. <v Speaker 2>Uh so, And I bet they're even trying to make <v Speaker 2>that happen. So we even get it, do we get <v Speaker 2>a new Monster Hunter Rise instead? Perhaps? <v Speaker 1>I mean possibly, but they just they seem so stuck <v Speaker 1>on making wild as good as possible. They probably are <v Speaker 1>not rushing ahead to the next uh sort of alternative <v Speaker 1>for the switch. I maybe that was always the plan though, <v Speaker 1>So maybe they will be like, yeah, let's not try <v Speaker 1>to get Wild's on the switch to instead, let's just make. <v Speaker 2>Rise to that's possible. Oh man, chat is on fire <v Speaker 2>local non cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts. That makes sense? <v Speaker 2>Oh yes, yeah, yeah, good point, good call. And then <v Speaker 2>dust Bloods. <v Speaker 1>That would have to be here, right, I hope, So <v Speaker 1>you know, an update about what's happening with elden Ring <v Speaker 1>at the very least, because that was announced got delayed, <v Speaker 1>we're at the point where we should be getting more <v Speaker 1>information about that. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, that should happen. <v Speaker 1>And while they're talking about that, everyone's going to be <v Speaker 1>going okay, And then what about Dust Bloods, which is <v Speaker 1>supposed to be a twenty twenty six game. <v Speaker 2>I believe I think they said a year. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, it's look, I want to know about all <v Speaker 1>these games. I'll get excited. I think coming out of it, <v Speaker 1>people will still be going. Most people will be saying, great, <v Speaker 1>what about Mario? What about Zelda? And well that's kind <v Speaker 1>of you know, there's a little bit of non news <v Speaker 1>about that in the rundown here, so let's keep going. <v Speaker 2>Actually yep. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo stock nosedives following earnings report despite record breaking switch <v Speaker 1>To sales. This comes from Haley Williams at GameSpot. Nintendo <v Speaker 1>shares have seen their biggest drop in eighteen months after <v Speaker 1>the company's quarterly earnings call revealed a decline in profit <v Speaker 1>margins and saw executives fending off rumors of a swing <v Speaker 1>which two price hike. <v Speaker 2>The Japanese gaming company stocks. <v Speaker 1>Fell at stock fell as much as eleven percent in <v Speaker 1>a single day following the earnings call. Bloomberg reports, I <v Speaker 1>think it's starting to come back up a little bit. <v Speaker 1>While the switch to continued to sell well, selling just <v Speaker 1>over seven million units this quarter to beat the average <v Speaker 1>analyst estimate of six point five million, the new console's <v Speaker 1>lower profit margins saw the company's profit ratio take a dip. <v Speaker 1>Despite sales and income mostly trending upwards, Nintendo's profits nevertheless <v Speaker 1>failed to meet projections. Nintendo President Chantaro for Akawa acknowledged <v Speaker 1>that the company was feeling pressure from a difficult market <v Speaker 1>with component costs increasing due to the AI boom, but <v Speaker 1>said the company is well positioned to handle it for now, <v Speaker 1>saying we are engaged in long term discussions with our <v Speaker 1>suppliers to ensure we maintain a stable intake of chips. <v Speaker 1>For Kawa said, we do not expect major impact during <v Speaker 1>the fourth. <v Speaker 2>Quarter of this year, which would be through March everyone. <v Speaker 1>However, from the next fiscal year onwards Art in April, <v Speaker 1>if this price hike lasts longer than anticipated, it could <v Speaker 1>potentially put pressure on our profitability. And I think that's <v Speaker 1>where the sentence ends. But he does acknowledge that a <v Speaker 1>switch to price hike could be possible at that point. <v Speaker 1>So this is where all the concern is coming from <v Speaker 1>from investors. We talked about on bombcasts yesterday. Investors are <v Speaker 1>dumb as rocks, but they are able to understand profits <v Speaker 1>good and we want more of those. So what's just <v Speaker 1>happening here is the switch to is more expensive to make. <v Speaker 1>Then Nintendo seemed to be anticipating due to a bunch <v Speaker 1>of factors, and that's obviously tariffs are real there. Overall <v Speaker 1>inflation continued to be worse than I think a lot <v Speaker 1>of people were expecting. And then of course now chip shortages, <v Speaker 1>which is just a fire on top of a fire, <v Speaker 1>so Nintendo is not making quite as much of profits now. <v Speaker 1>Of course, that was always going to happen because it's <v Speaker 1>the beginning of a new generation, so investors probably should <v Speaker 1>have been expecting a little bit of this, and yet <v Speaker 1>it's it's way down. Because now people are like, well, <v Speaker 1>it's it doesn't seem like it's going to get better. <v Speaker 2>The price could go. <v Speaker 1>They might have to raise the price to just deal <v Speaker 1>with what they're already dealing with, so it would be <v Speaker 1>like they're going to sell less and they could just <v Speaker 1>see the tumble happen. <v Speaker 2>So they're getting concerned on that front. <v Speaker 1>You know, it feels like Nintendo's going to be able <v Speaker 1>to weather this all right, but it investors don't seem happy. <v Speaker 2>So what are you thinking. I think investors heard potential <v Speaker 2>price hike when they acknowledged it and immediately freaked out <v Speaker 2>forgetting that you just said that price hike is not <v Speaker 2>coming out this holiday at the very least, well, he. <v Speaker 1>Said through March. It could he said after April. So yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>of this, the next Fisco year starts in April, like this. <v Speaker 2>A fourth quarter of this year. Sorry, I four about <v Speaker 2>twenty twenty six. Yeah, maybe I'm the idiot, but I <v Speaker 2>I don't as part of me gets it. Right, You <v Speaker 2>hear price hike and that scares you. Part of me <v Speaker 2>also agrees that, if any, Nintendo seems to have played <v Speaker 2>this very well right, as weird as it was to <v Speaker 2>not announce a price or to announce a price, and <v Speaker 2>then go back and forth when that all was happening, <v Speaker 2>and then finally settling where it did. As weird as <v Speaker 2>that all turned out, I think it sounds to me <v Speaker 2>that whatever preparations they took to mitigate this as best <v Speaker 2>they can, they seem to have done so, even with <v Speaker 2>the stock price falling, which I wonder how much of <v Speaker 2>that is also I don't know if I'm wanna call <v Speaker 2>it fomo, but like a sort of similar to fomo, <v Speaker 2>where some investors sell and then there's just like a <v Speaker 2>sell off reaction every single time. Yeah, yeah, and then <v Speaker 2>they come back a little bit. I don't know. I <v Speaker 2>think of the three major publishing companies with consoles, Nintendo <v Speaker 2>is the one I'm least worry about. But I have <v Speaker 2>a slight bit of worry about all three of them, <v Speaker 2>if that makes sense. Yep. <v Speaker 1>As far as like Nintendo being able to like, you know, <v Speaker 1>figure this out and keep putting out games, none of <v Speaker 1>that's like, at any risk, this is not going to <v Speaker 1>change Nintendo's strategy. <v Speaker 2>The games that they were gonna make, they were going <v Speaker 2>to make no matter what. <v Speaker 1>I don't think this is a sign of like their <v Speaker 1>hubris or that they might abandon something. So people who <v Speaker 1>buy and play games should be feeling like, okay, uh yeah, <v Speaker 1>we get it. <v Speaker 2>This is going to be they might have to raise <v Speaker 2>the price. <v Speaker 1>That's where we're going to be affected, and they aren't <v Speaker 1>doing that quite yet. Now the question will be like, <v Speaker 1>what is for a Kawa mean when he says if <v Speaker 1>this chip shortage lasts longer than anticipated, what are they <v Speaker 1>anticipating Because it is going to last through this year, <v Speaker 1>it's going to like this year, like it's not. It's <v Speaker 1>not gonna let up like we're hoping maybe sometime next year. <v Speaker 1>But there's no reason to think that's guaranteed either, So <v Speaker 1>it does he mean, like if it kind of maintains <v Speaker 1>the status quo of like, yeah, there's a shortage, but <v Speaker 1>we've now we understand it. If it lasts like that <v Speaker 1>through the end of the year, they won't raise prices. <v Speaker 1>I think a lot of people are skeptical of that. <v Speaker 1>So we're gonna have to see. Overall, Switch two's doing <v Speaker 1>very well. Seventeen point three seven million units. We talked <v Speaker 1>about that on the BombCast yesterday. Yes, it was able <v Speaker 1>to sell something like seven point one million through the <v Speaker 1>holiday quarter, which was just like a little a little <v Speaker 1>bit behind what the Switch one did, which was like <v Speaker 1>three million or something like that. So it's like, okay, <v Speaker 1>you could see it's like not quite matching the Switch one, <v Speaker 1>but it's also way more expensive than the Switch one, <v Speaker 1>and it doesn't have the Zelda or the Mario factors, <v Speaker 1>so and the Switch one had both, So it's like, okay, <v Speaker 1>you can kind of see lining things up. <v Speaker 2>Switch two is doing just fine so far. <v Speaker 1>As far as Nintendo's outlook, they kind of just talked <v Speaker 1>about and we're going to keep things going with Mario <v Speaker 1>Tennis Fever, which is launching soon and Pokemon Po Coopia. <v Speaker 1>They do need to kind of get to the point <v Speaker 1>where they're talking about Mario and Zelda though. <v Speaker 2>Right, Yeah, for sure, and I think they'll say that <v Speaker 2>for like their June around Summer game Fest direct that <v Speaker 2>they normally do unless we get one between now and then. <v Speaker 2>They did do the the Switch to Reveal in April <v Speaker 2>and then follow that up not too long afterward in June, <v Speaker 2>so they have, but then again it was a Switch <v Speaker 2>to reveal. It was like a special Nintendo Direct, not <v Speaker 2>the actual Nintendo Direct, so I don't know. They also <v Speaker 2>love to just drop random information about games out of nowhere, <v Speaker 2>like the Mario Tennis Fever gameplay presentations just no, no, no, no, <v Speaker 2>the one that we last time I was on, I said, yes, <v Speaker 2>that's right, Yes, there it was. They loved doing that shit. Yeah, So, like, <v Speaker 2>I'm surprised they even announced the Tomonauci Life Direct and <v Speaker 2>they didn't just release the video of twenty minutes a <v Speaker 2>game plan that tell us what it was. I think. <v Speaker 2>And I think also while that you know, surprise, shock <v Speaker 2>and all sort of approach to news about their games <v Speaker 2>generates some instant buzz. If you want to go back <v Speaker 2>to the previous story and the investors freaking out planning <v Speaker 2>these directs kind of alleviates their fears too, like that <v Speaker 2>this that that price could go back up after tomorrow's yeah, <v Speaker 2>direct if the third party lineup is strong, especially one <v Speaker 2>for this year. So I don't know. I I do <v Speaker 2>think though, eventually, maybe as soon as June. Ah. Whether <v Speaker 2>it'll be Zelda first or Mario first, I'm not sure <v Speaker 2>I would like because both of them have had like <v Speaker 2>Mario Wonders update is coming now, Zelda's update came with <v Speaker 2>the system, and they're still to me that large Nintendo <v Speaker 2>switch to edition in the horizon of Super Smash Brothers. <v Speaker 2>That's gotta be out there somewhere. Yes, that'll make a <v Speaker 2>huge difference. It's the only one in the top ten <v Speaker 2>selling Switch games that doesn't have a switch to edition yet, <v Speaker 2>so I think it's still true. So that's a matter <v Speaker 2>of time. I they do have to start talking about <v Speaker 2>their two heavy hitters, though, I mean they could talk <v Speaker 2>about Pocopia or Mario playing Tennis all they want, but <v Speaker 2>until they deliver the three D Mario Experience, the next <v Speaker 2>big Zelda game, whatever that looks like, and Mario Baseball, <v Speaker 2>which is a long time coming. Yeah, it's going to <v Speaker 2>have to do it eventually, real quick. <v Speaker 1>This next story, Nintendo silent on Metroid Prime four beyond sales, <v Speaker 1>prompting fan concerns over the series of future from Tom <v Speaker 1>Phillips at IgM. Basically, Nintendo updates their sales chart for <v Speaker 1>their top selling games each quarter, and they have a <v Speaker 1>list of games that sold more than a million copies <v Speaker 1>during the last quarter, and Metroit Prime four for switch <v Speaker 1>and Metro Prime four for Switch To, which would be <v Speaker 1>counted separately, neither of them were on there. Now, it's <v Speaker 1>possible that if you combine those two SKUs it's over <v Speaker 1>a million. It probably is, but we don't know because <v Speaker 1>they did not bring it up in any way. And <v Speaker 1>it's a hoof a doufa. <v Speaker 2>That's not good. It's not good. It's just not good. <v Speaker 2>I mean, the game's not good. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, like I got to imagine that game's fate <v Speaker 1>really did hinge on that word of mouth and those reviews, <v Speaker 1>and it kind of needed to come out and be <v Speaker 1>like you cannot miss this, and people who had been <v Speaker 1>waiting on the sideline for Metroid Prime for years and <v Speaker 1>years would been like, fine, I'll check it out. <v Speaker 2>And then that's not what they heard. <v Speaker 1>They heard a lot of arguing between Metroid fans and <v Speaker 1>were already so annoying Metroid fans that I'm sure that <v Speaker 1>did not help sell any copies of this game. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's a picture floating around that we will probably <v Speaker 2>reference later on in another story in the second half. <v Speaker 2>It's a celebration that somebody drew a celebration in the distance. <v Speaker 2>It says Legend of Zeld a fortieth anniversary, and Lincoln <v Speaker 2>Zelda are being welcomed by this throng of people, everybody cheering, <v Speaker 2>and then the foreground is this little metroid with this <v Speaker 2>half assed cake on top of it and the four <v Speaker 2>zero candles all smeared, and Samus is standing there with <v Speaker 2>their helmet off, just smiling, and that says it all. <v Speaker 2>Really yep, man, they should have two Heavy Hitter anniversaries <v Speaker 2>this year, and they only have one. The other one <v Speaker 2>is just not even selling potentially a million copies. That's <v Speaker 2>a problem. Yep. I hope that they don't. <v Speaker 1>I hope they recognize what happened here, that the game <v Speaker 1>was a mess and people could tell pretty quickly, and that's. <v Speaker 2>What its sales. Because I do think that's what happened. <v Speaker 1>I think if if it was a game that came <v Speaker 1>out and was kind of universally at least liked, it <v Speaker 1>would have gotten that switch effect and been able to <v Speaker 1>be one of the best selling metro games ever, which <v Speaker 1>doesn't mean a ton of copies sold. <v Speaker 2>But that's not what went down. I hope they come back. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I see a solution here. Come with me on this. <v Speaker 2>Nintendo has a sci fi franchise that is currently flailing. <v Speaker 2>Microsoft currently has Fi franchise. If they got married filing, <v Speaker 2>it's time. It is time to bring them together. Montium <v Speaker 2>predicted this with Hayloyd back in the mid two thousands. <v Speaker 2>It's hi, bring them together in a game, put them <v Speaker 2>on both and let's see what happens. <v Speaker 1>Then, yes, have Alimar officiate the wedding. There you go, Yes, <v Speaker 1>that'll be a beautiful thing. All right, let's take a <v Speaker 1>break and we come back. We'll talk about plenty of <v Speaker 1>other headlines, including this, the next Xbox coming out in <v Speaker 1>twenty twenty seven. What happened with gta's Take two publisher <v Speaker 1>at stocks the price was plummeting. Talk about all that <v Speaker 1>right after this these messages. If you want to skip <v Speaker 1>out on these. We put up ad pre versions of <v Speaker 1>the audio and video show on giant bomb dot com. <v Speaker 1>If you go to GiantBomb dot com slash join get <v Speaker 1>it there. <v Speaker 2>Otherwise we'll be right back. All right, We're. <v Speaker 1>Back with Game mess Mornings. Jeff Grub, Jason Finelli. Let's <v Speaker 1>get to this next story. Next Xbox console could be <v Speaker 1>coming as soon as next year, at least judging by <v Speaker 1>AMD's latest comments. This comes from Ben Lyons at Game Reactor. <v Speaker 1>Will Microsoft as yet has not yet mentioned anything of <v Speaker 1>substance about when the next generation of Xbox consoles will <v Speaker 1>make their arrival. We do know they are in development, <v Speaker 1>with work supported by AMD, who is co engineering the <v Speaker 1>chipset and the silicon inside the machine. As you might expect, <v Speaker 1>this likely means that AMD is somewhat familiar with how <v Speaker 1>production is progressing on the next Xbox. A particular bit <v Speaker 1>of information that stood out during an earnence call led <v Speaker 1>by AMD CEO Lisa Sue. As per The Verge, Sue <v Speaker 1>stated quote, development of Microsoft's next gen Xbox, featuring an <v Speaker 1>AMD semi custom sc is progressing well to support a <v Speaker 1>launch in twenty twenty seven, and people have now taken <v Speaker 1>that to be like, oh, so it's coming in twenty <v Speaker 1>twenty seven, and I think that it's easy to take <v Speaker 1>that take that away from that. I think what she's <v Speaker 1>actually trying to say, though, is AMD will be ready <v Speaker 1>to begin supporting a launch in twenty twenty seven, and <v Speaker 1>then that launch will happen whenever it happens, but AMD <v Speaker 1>will be ready to support it in twenty twenty seven. <v Speaker 1>So people are probably jumping the gun, but that does <v Speaker 1>not mean it isn't coming out in twenty twenty seven. <v Speaker 1>I would say, though, mister Jason Finelli, please don't please, <v Speaker 1>don't do that. We don't want it yet, like it's <v Speaker 1>too soon. We don't feel like we got we got <v Speaker 1>our money's worth on this party. Don't start another party <v Speaker 1>because it's just gonna look bad and we'll be pulling <v Speaker 1>our hair out, especially because it's not like if they <v Speaker 1>get it out soon, the price will be better than <v Speaker 1>if they got it out later. It's like, no, it's <v Speaker 1>gonna be astronomical no matter what. <v Speaker 2>Yes, that's the problem, right, Yes, if it's the seven <v Speaker 2>year timeline that you've established since the Xbox three sixty, <v Speaker 2>Xbox sixty and three thousand and five, two thousand and <v Speaker 2>six Xbox one in twenty thirteen series in twenty twenty. <v Speaker 2>Yeah you can, if you're that anal retentive about timelines. Sure, <v Speaker 2>but we don't have to join you in this party. <v Speaker 2>And I sure as hell I'm not showing up for <v Speaker 2>a four figure Xbox. No. Hell, I had to scratch <v Speaker 2>and call to show up for this one when it launched. <v Speaker 2>I that would be it would be stupid of them <v Speaker 2>to not bide their time. It's a smaller it's a <v Speaker 2>smaller sample size. But Nintendo just showed you what to do. Stop, <v Speaker 2>pile a little bit, build up, maybe see if you <v Speaker 2>can bring the price down, and then launch it something <v Speaker 2>a little more understandable. Yeah, Nintendo had to do it <v Speaker 2>on their feet. You now get to be let on <v Speaker 2>their feet and do it quickly. You have the benefit <v Speaker 2>of time. There's no need to rush this. There's no need. <v Speaker 2>Is the technology even that much better? Right? Like I? I, <v Speaker 2>and especially and well, the only reason I could see <v Speaker 2>them wanting to get out as soon as possible is <v Speaker 2>because they are afraid correctly, that steam machine will eat <v Speaker 2>its lunch. Right. Yeah, that's the only thing I could <v Speaker 2>see them giving them any bit of worry. <v Speaker 1>Especially because the rumors are the next Xbox is going <v Speaker 1>to be much more like a PC and the Steam <v Speaker 1>Machines may look really great by comparison. <v Speaker 2>Right, So that part I understand, But but that does <v Speaker 2>not matter. There's also benefit in letting the Steam Machine <v Speaker 2>come out out, giving it some time to breathe, and <v Speaker 2>then putting a new Xbox out there that may be <v Speaker 2>slightly better or have something going forward that the Steam <v Speaker 2>Machine does not. Take that learning and build from it. <v Speaker 2>Don't try and rush out to market because you will <v Speaker 2>not win. You will not win on the technology side, <v Speaker 2>you will not win on the price side, and your <v Speaker 2>reputation says that you will not win at the moment. <v Speaker 2>Bide your time, get it, get yourself right in the <v Speaker 2>eyes of the public, and then maybe we'll be more <v Speaker 2>accepting of a new console. <v Speaker 1>And really like get us right, like like you got <v Speaker 1>to like give us a chance to soften up to <v Speaker 1>an idea of spending more money on a new console, <v Speaker 1>give us some reason to pine for it, like I mean, <v Speaker 1>at least wait until GTA six is out and like <v Speaker 1>well established, because it's like maybe maybe that game comes <v Speaker 1>out and it actually runs kind of rough on the <v Speaker 1>current gen consoles. They have been out for seven years, <v Speaker 1>you know, or will have been out for seven years <v Speaker 1>by the time next year comes around, and it's okay, <v Speaker 1>So then maybe we'll be like, oh, it would be <v Speaker 1>nice to that PS five pro. That's looking pretty good. <v Speaker 1>But even that's a couple of years old. Now what <v Speaker 1>are these other What does Microsoft have? What does Sony <v Speaker 1>have next time around? We have no one saying that <v Speaker 1>right now. And you said it like, can the new <v Speaker 1>new tech be that much better than what we have? <v Speaker 1>And I just I really struggle to see how, because <v Speaker 1>they're going to be limited in how much memory they <v Speaker 1>can put in there, which would make a difference. But <v Speaker 1>then the CPUs we have of these machines already aren't <v Speaker 1>being taken advantage of for like anything else other than <v Speaker 1>just running a lot of objects in the world that <v Speaker 1>we've already seen. <v Speaker 2>Before and visually like that, it just. <v Speaker 1>Seems like time and money continue to be the real <v Speaker 1>thing holding these games back and not the technology. So <v Speaker 1>it's like more technologies and I mean, I guess maybe <v Speaker 1>it could simplify things a little bit, but I would <v Speaker 1>not expect some huge improvement into the way games look <v Speaker 1>and behave. So how are they going to sell these things? <v Speaker 1>How are they going to market them? It's it's the <v Speaker 1>like the last one, a little bit better but significantly <v Speaker 1>more expensive, is not compelling to any So and really <v Speaker 1>don't like, we don't want to buy them. We don't <v Speaker 1>even really want to be talking about them, Like I <v Speaker 1>just don't want to be thinking about these things yet. So, Yeah, <v Speaker 1>twenty twenty seven is not its next year. We're already <v Speaker 1>in February. This year is going to fly by. Like, <v Speaker 1>let's not get ourselves that this isn't going to be <v Speaker 1>I mean, unless they have unless it's a complete shift <v Speaker 1>in strategy, which I guess it could be, and they're <v Speaker 1>like completely breaking down what Xbox is and rebuilding it <v Speaker 1>as something new with this new device, twenty twenty seven <v Speaker 1>would be insane. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't think it's a very good idea because <v Speaker 2>I mentioned the timeline earlier. Seven years between consoles, this <v Speaker 2>particular seven years between the Series X and now was <v Speaker 2>let's say interesting, right between a between a pandemic that <v Speaker 2>you launched in and all of the financial strife and <v Speaker 2>layoffs and tariffs and other bullshit that has come. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>we're not ready. We're not ready yet. And of course <v Speaker 2>they're not going to see that. They'll be like, well <v Speaker 2>it's worked before, it to work again. But if somebody <v Speaker 2>points out in chat and I apologize who it was, <v Speaker 2>did Xbox even have a killer app this year? Was <v Speaker 2>there a killer game that you had to have on <v Speaker 2>Xbox Day one? <v Speaker 1>They've had, They've had, They've had a lot of pretty <v Speaker 1>good games, especially in like the last year or two. <v Speaker 1>But I would not describe anything as a must have <v Speaker 1>killer app. <v Speaker 2>No, And let's not forget one of the games they <v Speaker 2>primed to be one of the biggest games of this <v Speaker 2>generation at that first showcase in July of twenty twenty <v Speaker 2>still isn't out. That's Fable. Yeah, it's still twenty twenty one. <v Speaker 2>Whether that was, it's still coming. It's this year. Granted <v Speaker 2>it looked great two weeks ago, three weeks ago during <v Speaker 2>that Partner the direct or whatever they killed direct but <v Speaker 2>it's still not here. We don't know. That could be <v Speaker 2>your killer app a couple of years too late. We <v Speaker 2>don't know. Is Halo Remake going to be your killer app? <v Speaker 2>Not on the Xbox because it's on PlayStation. It might <v Speaker 2>be a killer app over there, It's not gonna be <v Speaker 2>a killer app over here they should not be talking <v Speaker 2>about consoles at all. They twelve up software for the <v Speaker 2>Get the damn Get games working on your current software, <v Speaker 2>and then we could talk about the new one. <v Speaker 1>God yeah, yeah, I think people still like, all these <v Speaker 1>years later, I might have started this conversation with us, <v Speaker 1>but reiterate, spent a lot of money on these consoles <v Speaker 1>when they first came out. If you bought in the <v Speaker 1>last couple of years, you spent more money than that. <v Speaker 1>And no one really is going around talk about how <v Speaker 1>they feel like this generation was worth it and they <v Speaker 1>got their money's worth and everything was just it worked <v Speaker 1>out so well and they can't wait to do it <v Speaker 1>all again. Everyone's still like, when is this going to start? <v Speaker 1>You know, I'm exaggerating, Maybe not everyone, but for the <v Speaker 1>most part, everyone's like kind of wondering, when are we <v Speaker 1>going to feel like this thing really happened? Because the <v Speaker 1>Xbox Series X and the PlayStation five to a certain <v Speaker 1>extent as well, don't feel like that yet. All right, <v Speaker 1>Why did GTA six companies market value plummet by billions? <v Speaker 1>Take two boss reacts. This is from Eddie mccoot game Spot. Recently, <v Speaker 1>Take two share price got hammered after Google unveiled Project Genie, <v Speaker 1>something we talked about on the shows. Now a new <v Speaker 1>technology that claims to allow people to create video game <v Speaker 1>worlds from prompts and pictures. Billions of dollars of billions <v Speaker 1>of dollars of market cap were wiped out in a <v Speaker 1>single day, and not just Take two, but also for <v Speaker 1>companies like Unity and Roadblocks two. Yeah, that one's like, Oh, <v Speaker 1>I see that one. I could see that for Roadblocks. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>basically just that's already what those games look like. <v Speaker 2>I Take two. <v Speaker 1>Boss Strauss Zelnik has now reacted to the drawdown same bluntly. <v Speaker 1>I have to admit I'm a little confused. <v Speaker 2>Oh are you? <v Speaker 1>Strauss Zelnick made these remarks during the company's the latest <v Speaker 1>earnings briefing, seemingly referencing how experts believe Wall Street has <v Speaker 1>lost the plot yet again and do not fully understand <v Speaker 1>how video games are actually made. Oh they don't, Strauss Huh. Okay, Yeah, <v Speaker 1>you know what, I got a hint that you probably <v Speaker 1>should have known all along, and we'll get to that <v Speaker 1>as we continue here. The video game business since its inception, <v Speaker 1>this is a quote from him, was built on the <v Speaker 1>back of machine learning and artificial intelligence. We create our <v Speaker 1>games in computers with technology, and ever questions began about <v Speaker 1>generative AI about eighteen months ago, I've been incredibly enthusiastic <v Speaker 1>about what the future can bring, Zelnick said. The executive <v Speaker 1>added that Take two is actively embracing generitive AI today <v Speaker 1>and already has hundreds of pilots and implementations across the company, <v Speaker 1>including at its development studios. So it's like, Hey, I <v Speaker 1>thought I was gonna get invited to the party where <v Speaker 1>we get to fire everybody and get all the money <v Speaker 1>because we have the AI doing it. What do you <v Speaker 1>mean You're gonna cut me out too? Strauss, You could <v Speaker 1>have seen this coming if you just had any foresight. <v Speaker 1>You guys were happy to like do this thing, this <v Speaker 1>dance of we have AI so our stock price should <v Speaker 1>go up. And then when everyone goes like, well we <v Speaker 1>have AI where we don't need you anymore, your stock <v Speaker 1>presce should go down. Suddenly you're like, I'm confused how <v Speaker 1>it of course it always comes for you. It's that's <v Speaker 1>what it does. <v Speaker 2>It cuts out everyone, everyone, every You got so mad <v Speaker 2>you switched your mic. What do you what did you <v Speaker 2>think was going to happen? You don't do it. <v Speaker 1>So, of course you're just like the rest of us. <v Speaker 1>You're not an owner. You're you're a cog in the <v Speaker 1>machine and they're cutting you out. Baby, come on, just <v Speaker 1>catch on. You could be like, oh my god, this <v Speaker 1>is very frustrating to me. Uh, Jason, how are you <v Speaker 1>feeling about it? <v Speaker 2>I'm feeling Pistolf that I didn't hear that right your <v Speaker 2>MC cut out half way through? God damn it. Okay, well, wonderful. <v Speaker 2>When did I come back? I like the last part <v Speaker 2>of that sentence that rules. Actually, that's way better. That's fantastic. <v Speaker 2>I don't know, I think you have to make that <v Speaker 2>a grub snacks now, but yes, that's that's actually what <v Speaker 2>I'll do. Yeah, I think we all got that. You <v Speaker 2>were upset a little bit. No, that's crazy. <v Speaker 1>But basically the thing is, it's like, if you don't <v Speaker 1>own the AI, if you don't own open AI, what <v Speaker 1>did you think was going to happen? <v Speaker 2>Straus s Elnik like, this is this is capitalism. The <v Speaker 2>owner wins. <v Speaker 1>You don't, and you don't own the AI that you <v Speaker 1>claim that you're going to use to make all your <v Speaker 1>games better and all this stuff. That the thing that <v Speaker 1>you would sell to your investors. So what did you <v Speaker 1>expect was going to happen? <v Speaker 2>Uh? Okay. <v Speaker 1>So strauss Zelnik is learning like, oh this is going <v Speaker 1>to eat his lunch as well, and gets freaking out like, <v Speaker 1>of course here we are. <v Speaker 2>But what would you say to all this ain't just <v Speaker 2>investors that are dummies, is it? It's all away at <v Speaker 2>the dumb all away at the top. You know, I <v Speaker 2>would know what you were mad about that grub. You <v Speaker 2>were making eye contact with the camera and you didn't <v Speaker 2>need broadcast to do it. No, exactly, Yeah, this, I mean, <v Speaker 2>this is exactly what we all expected to happen, right, <v Speaker 2>These people thought they were infallible. And then and then <v Speaker 2>let's let's be real here, we're talking about a technology <v Speaker 2>that was dog shit. What it created project any thing <v Speaker 2>specifically is dog shit. It was dog shit. The Zelda <v Speaker 2>thing was dog shit. The Mario thing was dog shit. <v Speaker 2>Everything I've watched from this thing is dog shit. Because <v Speaker 2>investors are stupid and they don't know how the sausage <v Speaker 2>is made, they thought, oh, that's how we get video <v Speaker 2>games now, and they started taking all this, all this <v Speaker 2>money away from gaming companies. Again, I'm fine with roadblocks, <v Speaker 2>but unity. Take two. You had to see this coming. <v Speaker 2>You had to see this. <v Speaker 1>It's just silly because it's like that the like Take <v Speaker 1>two is catering to these people when they say stuff <v Speaker 1>like we're gonna use AI and then and then say, well, <v Speaker 1>we can make money from because they're stupid and we <v Speaker 1>know if we just say the buzzwords will benefit and <v Speaker 1>it's okay, but you understand the game you're playing, right, <v Speaker 1>and so well, no, because then this happens and they <v Speaker 1>they're surprised and confused. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then and and not only that, he's talking <v Speaker 2>about how video games have always been built on machine <v Speaker 2>learning and artificial intelligence. That's different. It is a different <v Speaker 2>type of technology. Just because the first two letters are <v Speaker 2>the same doesn't mean it's the same thing. And if <v Speaker 2>you're too fucking dumb to understand that you should not <v Speaker 2>have the position that you're in. <v Speaker 1>It's might cut out. No, that was that was good, <v Speaker 1>Thank you very much. I'm glad you can get the <v Speaker 1>energy across for me. With that, my computer freaking out, <v Speaker 1>I say, oh, he's mad. I should cut off his mic. Yeah, hey, <v Speaker 1>look Strauss, GTA six is gonna be fine, like all <v Speaker 1>your all this stuff. <v Speaker 2>Then investors. <v Speaker 1>We'll be back for that, but this is a long <v Speaker 1>term conversation that you need to like maybe have with <v Speaker 1>yourself and kind of recognize, oh yeah, they will just <v Speaker 1>cut me out as well if they can. <v Speaker 2>Uh so that go. <v Speaker 1>Maybe that like feeling you have about like, oh I'm confused, <v Speaker 1>what what what happened here? Maybe you should expect and <v Speaker 1>that the people at the bottom of you, like your <v Speaker 1>tone and pull at your workplace, are probably feeling the <v Speaker 1>same way when you talk about using AI and maybe <v Speaker 1>just kind of pass that all the way down and <v Speaker 1>build a workplace where it's going to protect the people <v Speaker 1>who are making you all the money that they're about <v Speaker 1>to make you, which. <v Speaker 2>Is going to be a lot. You dip shit, You <v Speaker 2>dip just absolute dipshit. <v Speaker 1>Strauss Eellnik famously doesn't play games, says he goes song' <v Speaker 1>be proud of it. Actually he's always like, I'm I'm <v Speaker 1>the chief executive officer, not the chief consuming officer. And <v Speaker 1>then he's like, well, of course I He's like, of <v Speaker 1>course I read books and watch movies and watch TV <v Speaker 1>shows and do every other thing, But well, I don't <v Speaker 1>have to play games. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, I don't know, I feel like at this <v Speaker 2>point you probably should. Yeah, you know, you know how <v Speaker 2>you fix this. You put gamers and actual consumers in <v Speaker 2>the investor calls. Haven't asked the questions. Agree with himself, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>Strauss is ripped. That's right. <v Speaker 1>Chat Strauss Elnick constantly working out he doesn't have time <v Speaker 1>for games. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's see here. <v Speaker 1>Take two reaffirms it's support for GTA online to continue <v Speaker 1>after GTA six releases. This is from Hailey Williams at GameSpot. <v Speaker 1>Take two is confirmed in it's the Latest Earnings called <v Speaker 1>that the highly anticipated GT six is on track to <v Speaker 1>meet it's November nineteenth release date, but CEO Strauss Zelnick <v Speaker 1>also took a mon to address a far older Rockstar title, <v Speaker 1>Grand Theft Auto Online Excuse me. Zelnick has confirmed his <v Speaker 1>belief that Rockstar will continue supporting His belief will continue <v Speaker 1>supporting the popular multiplayer game as long as people continue <v Speaker 1>to play it. The first details about a potential GTA <v Speaker 1>six online multiplayer mode We're recently leaked as part of <v Speaker 1>the Rockstar v Union court battle in the UK, revealing <v Speaker 1>that rock Star is testing thirty two player sessions similar <v Speaker 1>to the multiplayer sessions in GTA Online However, GTA six <v Speaker 1>having a similar online mode doesn't necessarily mean that twenty <v Speaker 1>thirteen GTA Online will be sunset, at least according to <v Speaker 1>strauss Zelnick. And then he has a quote where it's like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>we're gonna keep it going. I have every reason to <v Speaker 1>believe we'll continue to support GTA online. <v Speaker 2>I mean, shouldn't you just know what? It's your biggest <v Speaker 2>money maker across your entire portfolio, right while your other <v Speaker 2>franchises are not talking about their highly anticipated ports. So yeah, <v Speaker 2>of course you're gonna keep it going. What is it <v Speaker 2>called the shark money, right, Shark cards is how or <v Speaker 2>whatever they have to sell more than any other online currency, <v Speaker 2>including v bucks in the entire gaming industry. They have <v Speaker 2>to So yes, of course you're going to keep it running. <v Speaker 2>The fact, well, where's the thing too, The fact that <v Speaker 2>you believe that what would cause you to doubt it? Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Is that why you're delaying and you're not telling us <v Speaker 2>what's going on. <v Speaker 1>I mean, clearly, the GTA online question is got to <v Speaker 1>be one of the biggest things that's causing it causing <v Speaker 1>them to take so much time on GTA six, because <v Speaker 1>how do you transition people to a new GTA online <v Speaker 1>if you don't transition them, how do you update online <v Speaker 1>to be bigger and feel new and then take advantage <v Speaker 1>of all these people coming into the world. <v Speaker 2>Because of GTA six. <v Speaker 1>Navigating that like doing it and then then actually executing <v Speaker 1>on it has to be quite the headache. <v Speaker 2>And then at the same time they have. <v Speaker 1>To continue making new content for the original GTA online <v Speaker 1>if they're not going to get rid of that thing. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, I don't envy having to, like if you're <v Speaker 1>the person actually making the decisions to figure all that <v Speaker 1>stuff out, because it is what pays for the whole <v Speaker 1>thing over there these days, and you kind of can't <v Speaker 1>mess that up. And this is you know, their best <v Speaker 1>opportunity to mess things up is right now with GTA <v Speaker 1>six online whatever that ends up looking like. So yeah, <v Speaker 1>him saying that he has every reason to believe that <v Speaker 1>this will continue says to me, it's like, look, I'm <v Speaker 1>we let Rockstar make their own decisions, and then that <v Speaker 1>what that really means is if they make a decision, <v Speaker 1>he can sort of pass the buck. <v Speaker 2>Is like, this is what they wanted. <v Speaker 1>To do, and we don't know, we still don't know <v Speaker 1>what's going to happen because he's making no promises here. <v Speaker 1>So it's it's curious, boy, that is a billion dollar <v Speaker 1>a year question. That's I mean, GTA online probably makes <v Speaker 1>more than that. <v Speaker 2>I mean, they have to transition them to the new world, <v Speaker 2>don't they, like you can't. I don't think the players, <v Speaker 2>So I don't know. I don't think the players would <v Speaker 2>accept going back to the GTA five environment when environment's <v Speaker 2>probably more fun, more things to more, more things to do. <v Speaker 2>They would have to and they would have to allow <v Speaker 2>them to import their accounts somehow with all the in <v Speaker 2>game purchases and shark cards and all that stuff. Jesus Christ, <v Speaker 2>that's a way more complicated scenario than I really thought <v Speaker 2>about until just now. I can't wait get delayed again. <v Speaker 2>It's complicated. <v Speaker 1>It will be interesting to see how they They have <v Speaker 1>not messaged that really at all in any official way. <v Speaker 1>This is like have non included his story because it's <v Speaker 1>like we bring it up all the time, and now <v Speaker 1>he's actually acknowledging it. And what he's saying is like, <v Speaker 1>the people are going to anticipate a world where it's <v Speaker 1>like GTA Online will just always be there, and that <v Speaker 1>might not always be the case we did not know yet. <v Speaker 1>Two more game Boy games have been added to switch <v Speaker 1>on lines Nintendo Classics Library. They added Let's see what <v Speaker 1>was that Balloon Fight or it's Bloom Bully right, Bloom Clip, <v Speaker 1>Thank You? And Yoshi, which is known as Mario and <v Speaker 1>Yoshi in Europe. Yoshi's like just a weird falling block <v Speaker 1>puzzle game where you got to get things inside of <v Speaker 1>a stack which is like a half an egg show <v Speaker 1>on the bottom, and then once you get another one, <v Speaker 1>it sort of closes up, puts it onside an egg. <v Speaker 1>It's weird. It wasn't that great then, although I know <v Speaker 1>some people like it more than I do. Balloon Kid, <v Speaker 1>I think, is a pretty cool take on Balloon Fight <v Speaker 1>for game Boy, where it's like, hey, go ahead and <v Speaker 1>enjoy Balloon Fight, but as a single player game. But <v Speaker 1>I never played a ton of it either. These are <v Speaker 1>not that exciting. How are you feeling about NSO these days? <v Speaker 2>I like NSO and I'm one of the Yoshi freaks. <v Speaker 2>I owned it on game Boy as a kid, absolutely <v Speaker 2>loved it. I'll play the hell out of it probably. <v Speaker 2>I play my friend's copy all the time. Yeah, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>the Balloon Kid. I'm not really enthusia, but like, honestly, <v Speaker 2>I think there's still a lot of potential in NSO, <v Speaker 2>particularly in the GameCube part of it. But I really <v Speaker 2>am sick and tired of this trip fed release thing <v Speaker 2>that they have going on. Like, I don't see how <v Speaker 2>now that you have so many different environments, I don't <v Speaker 2>see how you don't release like one or two games <v Speaker 2>like this every week. It's just a different like the <v Speaker 2>Superintendo this week, Genesis next week, GameCube, game Boy, and <v Speaker 2>then start over again or mix it up or something <v Speaker 2>like that. I don't this like once a month drip fed. <v Speaker 2>You don't know what console it's going to be. It's <v Speaker 2>getting tiresome. I want to be excited about these things. <v Speaker 2>I'm in a retro mood. As I said at the <v Speaker 2>top of the show, I've started looking at old long <v Speaker 2>plays of old retro games. I watched a two hour <v Speaker 2>long player of Freaking Bill and Ted on Nes. Yes's <v Speaker 2>a bad game. That's a real bad game. I owned <v Speaker 2>that game, and I did not know how much of <v Speaker 2>that game was in that game because I could never <v Speaker 2>get bought the best first part. <v Speaker 1>Yes, that was one of STEP's favorites when she was <v Speaker 1>a kid. That like I held hostage by it. She'd <v Speaker 1>play it all the time. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, so I have a taste for retro. Give <v Speaker 2>me more retro, come on now. Like, I don't understand <v Speaker 2>why they do this. I love the idea of it. <v Speaker 2>Virtual console was one of my favorite things about the <v Speaker 2>Wii and the WIU. This is like a bestardization of it, <v Speaker 2>and I just it's not the same. Yep, Yeah, it's uh. <v Speaker 1>They just can't get their third parties to really jump <v Speaker 1>aboard because they're not going to pay enough and third parties, <v Speaker 1>so we can make more money by packaging these games <v Speaker 1>up on our own and selling them, and that's, you know, <v Speaker 1>a fine alternative. I will usually end up getting those, <v Speaker 1>but it would be nice if it was all in <v Speaker 1>one place, like with the virtual console. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, all right, let's see here. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo boss A stays tight lipped when asked about asked <v Speaker 1>about Zelda's fortieth anniversary plans is from Andy Robinson at VGC. Basically, <v Speaker 1>he just said, as we have already announced during the <v Speaker 1>Super Mario Brothers fortieth anniversary anniversary, in addition to release <v Speaker 1>in several new titles, we are pursuing a bunch of <v Speaker 1>stuff beyond games and stuff. They talked about how they <v Speaker 1>did stuff with Mario. They did not have anything similar to. <v Speaker 2>Say about Zelda. Yet. <v Speaker 1>Do you get the sense that's because, like when it <v Speaker 1>comes to Nintendo, Jason, My understanding is Nintendo has all <v Speaker 1>these tools in front of them that they like to use, <v Speaker 1>stuff like anniversaries, but they wield them not because it's like, well, <v Speaker 1>there's a fortieth anniverse where we need to figure something out. Instead, <v Speaker 1>it's usually like, we have this game in this game, <v Speaker 1>in that game, what tools do we have to market <v Speaker 1>them and position them as best as possible? And then <v Speaker 1>in that instance they would use, well, we have the <v Speaker 1>fortieth anniversary, let's promote it with that and get the <v Speaker 1>synergy going and sort of build more stuff off to <v Speaker 1>the side to make that celebration really feel like it's <v Speaker 1>worth paying attention to. So when they don't have anything <v Speaker 1>to say in this moment, do you think that's more <v Speaker 1>because they're just getting things ready and they're gonna have <v Speaker 1>a big pop off for Zelda for year forty or <v Speaker 1>because they just the timing might not be right and <v Speaker 1>Grezo doesn't have a new two D game or a <v Speaker 1>new retro style game or the ze Corzeld team obviously <v Speaker 1>isn't ready for the Tiers of the Kingdom follow up. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think the timing just isn't lining up, like <v Speaker 2>I think they would love to be able to put <v Speaker 2>out a new Zelda game for this fortieth anniversary, but <v Speaker 2>they don't want to say anything unless it's ironclad. I <v Speaker 2>think it's the only thing about Nintendo too, unless it's <v Speaker 2>one assured. They don't like to delay stuff. So I <v Speaker 2>I don't know, the fact that they're being so tight <v Speaker 2>lipped about it is slightly encouraging the fact that they <v Speaker 2>might have some big plans that they want to talk <v Speaker 2>about but they just can't yet. But I don't, I <v Speaker 2>don't know. I uh, I'm not. I'm learning now to <v Speaker 2>be class half full, but like understand that the glass <v Speaker 2>is also half empty, if that makes sense, and not <v Speaker 2>to be excited, but also to not like fully throw <v Speaker 2>myself into that excitement and just end up disappointed. So <v Speaker 2>I this would be a prime time for some of <v Speaker 2>the HD remaster's remakes that people want, like a wind <v Speaker 2>Waker port or the Twilight Princess HD which was rumored <v Speaker 2>for like forty million times, right that ever actually happened, <v Speaker 2>or skywrid Skyward Short HD happened. Twilight Princess did not, right. <v Speaker 1>Twilight Princess HD happened on the way you like wind Waker. <v Speaker 2>Oh it did? Fuck yeah, So bring them all, bring <v Speaker 2>all those HD ports over to well switch one. I <v Speaker 2>guess Twitched already has the Skyward Sword one, but the <v Speaker 2>wind Waker, while a Princess, all those give me majoris, <v Speaker 2>give me the Majorist mask and all cermative time three <v Speaker 2>DS versions in a switch to format. That'd be sweet too. <v Speaker 2>Stuff like that. There are things you can do besides <v Speaker 2>just a brand new Zelda game. I would like to <v Speaker 2>think they're not going to go through with nothing, but <v Speaker 2>they're not talking about it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they They've mentioned before they always want to have <v Speaker 1>something Zelda every year, every fiscal year, and they have <v Speaker 1>done that for the last many, many many years. It's <v Speaker 1>been a long time, at least since Breath. <v Speaker 2>Of the Wild. I think, so, yeah, they'll probably have something, <v Speaker 2>But they did. <v Speaker 1>They just had Age Imprisonment, the Muso game, you know, <v Speaker 1>Tiers of the Kingdom. It actually has been quite a <v Speaker 1>while from Tier for The factoid that really bothered me <v Speaker 1>is that I think right around now, it's been a <v Speaker 1>thousand days since Tiers of the Kingdom came out, and <v Speaker 1>that would mark the longest I know, right, that would <v Speaker 1>mark the longest period of time between the release of <v Speaker 1>a big new three D Zelda and the announcement of <v Speaker 1>the next big new three d's eeld enough we had <v Speaker 1>echoes of wisdom we're talking about like that team that <v Speaker 1>makes these the big primary Zelda games. <v Speaker 2>This will be the longest period of time. <v Speaker 1>Before that, it was like something like the announcement for <v Speaker 1>Skyward sort it was like nine and ninety days or something, <v Speaker 1>nine hundred and sixty days. So they could come this <v Speaker 1>year and have a new Zelda game to announce. But <v Speaker 1>that feels I don't know, it just still feels early somehow, <v Speaker 1>even though it's been the longest period of time between <v Speaker 1>these announcements ever. <v Speaker 2>And even then, if you remember how they announced Tears <v Speaker 2>of the Kingdom, just because they announced something doesn't mean <v Speaker 2>it's coming anytime soon. Absolutely, especially for Zelda. Yeah, we <v Speaker 2>sat on that walk through a cave for what two <v Speaker 2>years maybe until actual information came out about Tears of <v Speaker 2>the Kingdom. So even then, don't get your hopes up. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's it's I think it's more it's more a symptom <v Speaker 2>of the overall uncertainty of the market that we talked <v Speaker 2>about at the top of the show. But they have <v Speaker 2>to get one of these two franchises out Zelda or Mario, <v Speaker 2>as we talked about in the story before people really <v Speaker 2>start panicking. All right, final story here. <v Speaker 1>Pokemon will debut a special video during Super Bowl sixty. <v Speaker 1>That's sixty, right, super Bowl sixty, celebrating its thirtieth anniversary. <v Speaker 2>This is from Jordan Midller I VGC. Of course this. <v Speaker 1>The Pokemon Company has announced that it will premiere a <v Speaker 1>special video during the upcoming Super Bowl sixty, and a <v Speaker 1>teaser trailer posted to social media Jigglypuff, who's a spokesperson <v Speaker 1>for the company, A Pokemon that could put other Pokemon <v Speaker 1>to sleep with its voice is seeing at what appears <v Speaker 1>to be a backstage green room. The trailer ends with <v Speaker 1>the Pokemon thirty logo and the date February eighth. The <v Speaker 1>Pokemon Company hasn't said what the win. The video will <v Speaker 1>broadcast during the Super Bowl sixty broadcast, but it may <v Speaker 1>appear in one of the highly sought after halftime commercial slots. <v Speaker 1>Huh I this is I'm someone who's always like when <v Speaker 1>I was doing reporting, I always thought it would be <v Speaker 1>fun to be like, Okay, let's kind of use the <v Speaker 1>Super Bowl as a bell weather for how the video <v Speaker 1>game industry is feeling about spending money and marketing. And <v Speaker 1>it's like a couple of years ago, here was one <v Speaker 1>major video game commercial for a big game that's coming out. <v Speaker 1>I think like a Borderlands did that before. That might <v Speaker 1>be right, it's probably not, but usually it was no <v Speaker 1>traditional video game company was showing up. And then here <v Speaker 1>was Kate Upton in a milk bath for a mobile <v Speaker 1>game or something like that. We got a couple of those, <v Speaker 1>and I just don't have that visually memorized. Don't worry <v Speaker 1>about that. So when a company like the Pokemon companies <v Speaker 1>like showing up, like we're going to show up for <v Speaker 1>Pokemon at the Super Bowl, So, oh, that's that's a <v Speaker 1>lot of money. They must have a lot of confidence <v Speaker 1>about the thirtieth anniversary. I bet the right that showing <v Speaker 1>up for this thing that they know a lot of <v Speaker 1>people will be watching is going to hit a lot <v Speaker 1>of the demographics that they're going to be able to <v Speaker 1>reignite if they do have something that feels like it's <v Speaker 1>new and nostalgic. <v Speaker 2>For the thirtieth anniversary. Right, No, I I am Hell yeah, <v Speaker 2>I am fully in the team of Think about who <v Speaker 2>you're talking about here. They are weird. Pokemon Company is weird. <v Speaker 2>This is the kind of thing. This is the kind <v Speaker 2>of thing where they would just have like a bunch <v Speaker 2>of Pokemon and it's the thirtieth anniversary of Pokemon more <v Speaker 2>news to come, you know what I mean, Like they <v Speaker 2>wouldn't actually say anything. <v Speaker 1>Oh, I think it's gonna be like all of the <v Speaker 1>big tech company commercials where it's like, here's a little <v Speaker 1>girl learning to speak because Google exists, and you should <v Speaker 1>be emotional about that. And it's gonna be like that, <v Speaker 1>where it's like a dad playing Pokemon and his daughter <v Speaker 1>like learning to read with him because she's also playing Pokemon. <v Speaker 1>Like they're gonna have something very emotional and an appeal <v Speaker 1>to nostalgia and it will have zero details. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't. I don't think you should expect much <v Speaker 2>from this at all. I think you should temper your expectations. <v Speaker 2>Do not get like that. I've seen people talking about <v Speaker 2>like new like a classic game collection or something like that. <v Speaker 2>You know, nothing like that. No way A logo and <v Speaker 2>a bunch of Pokemon next to like, I don't know it, <v Speaker 2>Kevin Hart, Let's Pike a celebrity? <v Speaker 1>There will be Yeah, there almost certainly is a celebrity. <v Speaker 1>Is it going to be post Malone? Do they get <v Speaker 1>just post Malone in there? <v Speaker 2>Is he still singing in that weird like Pokemon aquarium <v Speaker 2>they had him in for twenty five? Do we do <v Speaker 2>we get him out of there yet? Has he been rescued? <v Speaker 1>I think he's still stuck in there. <v Speaker 2>That's fine. In there. <v Speaker 1>We're gonna get that guy with the submarine from the <v Speaker 1>cave in Thailand or whatever. <v Speaker 2>He's gonna come rescue him. Yeah, I love someone in <v Speaker 2>the chat, Slim mcawsom said, post me out, and that <v Speaker 2>would be interesting. A bunch of Pokemon, a bunch of <v Speaker 2>celebrities that look like Pokemon or Pokemon look like that <v Speaker 2>would be fun. But no, I I don't think this <v Speaker 2>is going to be the groundbreaking announcement that people want <v Speaker 2>it to be announcement at all. Yeah. Well, and even then, <v Speaker 2>why would they do that? I know the super Bowl <v Speaker 2>is a bigger announcement, but like Pokemon Day is the <v Speaker 2>end of the month. Yep. <v Speaker 1>Just through calendars, everybody we're getting by the February twenty seventh, sueven. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so they'll have. <v Speaker 1>Something then, and but I mean I think, yeah, so <v Speaker 1>that's why this will be a vibes thing and it <v Speaker 1>won't have any Yeah, we'll not have any specifics for sure. <v Speaker 1>All Right, that is the headlines out of the way. <v Speaker 1>Let's get the pull question. I have the results over here, <v Speaker 1>but I'm going to refresh one more time. <v Speaker 2>Uh, there we go. Did you get Sonic Racing Cross Worlds? Yes? No, <v Speaker 2>not yet but soon. <v Speaker 1>Seventy five percent said no, including including me, actually fourteen <v Speaker 1>percent not yet but soon, and twelve percent said yes. <v Speaker 1>I feel like I actually do have that game. I <v Speaker 1>just put no here for some reason. I look, I <v Speaker 1>think Sonic Racing Cross Worlds, which Sega said was a <v Speaker 1>little bit disappointing, will do okay in the long gren. <v Speaker 1>I bet that game continues to sell, like especially at <v Speaker 1>anytime they have like new Sonic movie stuff or even <v Speaker 1>like a and that's like a Sonic Frontiers too. People <v Speaker 1>will be like, I want more Sonic and that game <v Speaker 1>will be waiting for them. And at the very least, <v Speaker 1>the word of mouth around it's been pretty positive. What <v Speaker 1>do you think happened with Crossworlds. <v Speaker 2>I think people were expecting it to be a direct, <v Speaker 2>a direct competitor Mario Kart, and they thought, I already <v Speaker 2>have Marior KRT, So I'm good on racing for now <v Speaker 2>when it's when for me, it's different enough of a <v Speaker 2>game that it warrants its own Uh, it's its own consideration. <v Speaker 2>I am part of the twelve percent. I do have it. <v Speaker 2>I dabbled it a little bit. I'd like to get <v Speaker 2>in more, but other things, just other games just came up. <v Speaker 2>I'd say it's worth it. I think the partnerships that <v Speaker 2>are bringing in are pretty cool. At the Minecraft stuff <v Speaker 2>is cool, this spongeby stuff, Mega Man Miku being in there. Oh, <v Speaker 2>that's really cool stuff. Yeah. I'm glad you said that, <v Speaker 2>because if I hadn't said Mega Man, Tolkoto would show <v Speaker 2>up out of nowhere, connecting you from him. Absolutely, he <v Speaker 2>would just yell at me. But no, I think I <v Speaker 2>think it's definitely worth a try. Maybe people were just <v Speaker 2>waiting because of their Mario Kart fatigue for it to <v Speaker 2>maybe go and sale, but I think I think those <v Speaker 2>sales figures will write themselves eventually real quick. <v Speaker 1>I just my inbox shouts at the team for putting <v Speaker 1>this together. We put out a press release about our <v Speaker 1>us helping raise two hundred and seventy five thousand dollars <v Speaker 1>for v But it's just cute to see that. <v Speaker 2>A good work team. Let's say that, Yeah, we're proud, <v Speaker 2>We're proud. <v Speaker 1>Of the community, and we're proud of this industry, and <v Speaker 1>we wanted to kind of continue to shout it. We <v Speaker 1>did talk to some people this morning. Maybe there'll be <v Speaker 1>some coverage of it here pretty soon. But yeah, good <v Speaker 1>work everyone. All right, we have a new poll question <v Speaker 1>before we get to that. Finella, you should te people <v Speaker 1>where they can find you on the internet, where they <v Speaker 1>can get more of your stuff and all that good stuff. <v Speaker 2>Jasonfinelli dot com on Blue Sky big Man Finelli on <v Speaker 2>Instagram is where I do most of my shit posting. <v Speaker 2>I have. I've been talking about these things that will <v Speaker 2>be in a magazine. I've submitted them, they're edited, they're <v Speaker 2>ready for the next issue of said magazine, whenever that <v Speaker 2>may be. I will I probably shouldn't do this when <v Speaker 2>we do it, anyway, I will inform you when that's closer. <v Speaker 2>Take from that what you will, But that stuff coming <v Speaker 2>you got the game spot still doing stuff there MMORPG. <v Speaker 2>I probably should write reviews for him again, out to <v Speaker 2>talk to him, see what he needs. I am sending <v Speaker 2>out emails you editors with games that I am willing <v Speaker 2>to review that have been announced this year. So answer <v Speaker 2>those emails and tell me the games you want me <v Speaker 2>to review for you. So I could tell these nice <v Speaker 2>people to go to your website and read it. But yeah, <v Speaker 2>just doing the old freelance thing as usual, and that's <v Speaker 2>where you can find me doing my weirdo shit. There <v Speaker 2>you go. All right, new poll question. <v Speaker 1>Did you get Metroid Prime for beyond a couple of <v Speaker 1>options here? <v Speaker 2>Yes? <v Speaker 1>No, I never wanted it, No because of the reviews <v Speaker 1>or no, but I will get it soon. You know, <v Speaker 1>let's send a million copies sold at least for each <v Speaker 1>individual skew. Let's let's see if we can get to <v Speaker 1>the bottom of why people skipped out on this one. <v Speaker 2>I think I have a hunch. I think I know why. <v Speaker 1>All right, that's the new poll question. You know, we'll <v Speaker 1>get the results of that. Talk about of here on <v Speaker 1>Games Morning is on Giant Bomb tomorrow. Speaking of Giant Bomb, <v Speaker 1>it's Wednesday. It's time Blake club. Uh blink and you'll <v Speaker 1>miss it. It's a blightning round game, virtuoso. It's only <v Speaker 1>gonna last for like the next thirteen to fourteen weeks everybody, <v Speaker 1>So Week two, blightning Round. <v Speaker 2>It's going to be. <v Speaker 1>It's gonna be rough for our boy, uh Hunter coming <v Speaker 1>back with some virtuos. I'm surprised we didn't make as <v Speaker 1>many dog Bounty Hunters jokes as we should have, because <v Speaker 1>there it's indistinguishable. <v Speaker 2>It's the same man. It's just that's him. I love this. <v Speaker 2>I love looking at this game. Mike is so funny <v Speaker 2>getting met at this game in particular, it's you guys, <v Speaker 2>got to catch this show. I think we have a <v Speaker 2>new entry on the Mount Rushmore of video game doors. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, yes, I feel like I like this is <v Speaker 1>almost George Washington already impressive stuff. <v Speaker 2>It's so good us. <v Speaker 1>Just speaking of Mike, I'm just like that picture of <v Speaker 1>him with his friends doing their lobster boys things. That's <v Speaker 1>why he couldn't help raise money everybody. He was too <v Speaker 1>busy being a lobster boy. <v Speaker 2>That's not real, that's not real. <v Speaker 1>I just want to throw him under the bus, but <v Speaker 1>that's not really getting the travel together. Was a real <v Speaker 1>pain in the ass that in the last minute, and <v Speaker 1>then he so he got to go be a lobster <v Speaker 1>boy instead. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's see here. <v Speaker 1>I think with that out of the way right now, <v Speaker 1>I should probably just say, Jason, thank you so much <v Speaker 1>for hanging out with me today and talking about video games. <v Speaker 2>Man, I really appreciate it. Thank you for having me <v Speaker 2>as always, always a pleasure my friend. Until next time, <v Speaker 2>thank you so much.
