<v Speaker 4>You know, they they're growing up. They wanted vanities this year.
<v Speaker 4>So I told Roskie this. Normally I like to like, really,
<v Speaker 4>you know, pump up the Christmas magic and do what
<v Speaker 4>I would have thought, like my parents would do. So
<v Speaker 4>whatever they're like big gift is that usually involves like
<v Speaker 4>some building, Like you know, one year it's a you know,
<v Speaker 4>Barbie dreamhouse or whatever. They go to bed, we get everything.
<v Speaker 4>I build it that night, you know, Like one year
<v Speaker 4>I built like this kitchen for them and all this stuff.
<v Speaker 4>I just think it's part of like the magic. Long
<v Speaker 4>story short, I had to have a little minor surgery,
<v Speaker 4>so I had some downtime and these vanities were in
<v Speaker 4>the garage and I told Liz I can't work out
<v Speaker 4>do anthing anyway. I was like, I might as well
<v Speaker 4>get to work on the It was the biggest blessing
<v Speaker 4>in disguise, maybe my tilt. I would have had a
<v Speaker 4>mental breakdown if I tried to do this on like,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what I would have done because they
<v Speaker 4>were just you know, no directions, nothing, dude, hardwiring mirrors
<v Speaker 4>that go on like a slide like way beyond my means,
<v Speaker 4>like I had called my father in law. It took
<v Speaker 4>three days to build the.
<v Speaker 1>Task rabbited it.
<v Speaker 4>You said it, but I take like pride to it.
<v Speaker 4>You know, I'd be like I wanted to do it,
<v Speaker 4>you know. But oh man, but if I had done
<v Speaker 4>this to myself and Liz at midnight on Christmas, oh
<v Speaker 4>my god, I would have I would have crumbled. So
<v Speaker 4>thank god they were thrilled. Like I said, they're getting older.
<v Speaker 4>That the fact that they even asked for vanities, so
<v Speaker 4>they you know, their little divas, and they were super excited.
<v Speaker 1>That's wild. Well, I I had started. My whole thing
<v Speaker 1>started in the UK. I did a quick trip to
<v Speaker 1>the UK last week. Landed went straight to the Creator
<v Speaker 1>Pro Christmas Party, which is a hell of a time.
<v Speaker 4>Every year get the guest of honor at the ive
<v Speaker 4>been a few of those. It gets routed. It's a
<v Speaker 4>lot of fun.
<v Speaker 1>This year was very smart. The karaoke didn't start until late,
<v Speaker 1>which was good. We got to just chill and talk.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I love karaoke, but sometimes.
<v Speaker 4>The biggest snaffoo this year Liz and I were talking.
<v Speaker 4>Everyone brought dessert. No one brought like substance my god.
<v Speaker 1>You were normally brought pizza one pie.
<v Speaker 4>No, I brought two pies that got devoured.
<v Speaker 1>Right, and then a few tacos from time.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. Like normally it's like like costas and all this
<v Speaker 4>stuff you can eat, and like it was like, oh no,
<v Speaker 4>it's just some cupcakes, cookies and ship. Nobody's like you know.
<v Speaker 1>You're somebody brought like thirty burgers from McDonald's.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, but then you're like.
<v Speaker 1>Right after that, spent a couple of days in the Manhattan.
<v Speaker 1>The family came down for that had the hotel room,
<v Speaker 1>so they just did Christmas, did it ice, skating and stuff.
<v Speaker 4>It was super cool New York experience. Not going to
<v Speaker 4>multiple dinners, no Todd.
<v Speaker 1>They did eat a lot of diner food and stuff
<v Speaker 1>like that. But you know, home for Christmas was great.
<v Speaker 1>Ild I think I mentioned on here that Iris is
<v Speaker 1>playing basketball now, so I got her a basketball hoop.
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah. Also, we were worried we lost Mark for
<v Speaker 4>about forty eight hours. It turns out he was building
<v Speaker 4>legos for two days straight returning.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. She always gets a few sets, or you know,
<v Speaker 1>one big set for Christmas, but this year I had
<v Speaker 1>this bright idea to let her in my tour room,
<v Speaker 1>set up a whole table with all her old sets.
<v Speaker 1>So she built like a city. So we've been like
<v Speaker 1>putting all those things together and stuff. But I did think,
<v Speaker 1>like when Matt has a kid and he buys him
<v Speaker 1>a Lego set, will he task rabbit the Lego set?
<v Speaker 5>I hope I was never a Lego guy. I could
<v Speaker 5>appreciate especially.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, they're so fun. It's been a it's been a
<v Speaker 1>great week, man, great week.
<v Speaker 5>Speaking of timeless, John Cena recently retired. Did you see, Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>really haven't seen the gift he gave Andy and Kloun
<v Speaker 5>that championship title?

<v Speaker 5>do a cutoff. A lot of great feedback, a lot
<v Speaker 5>of guys. Who's on this, guy Broski, we brought this
<v Speaker 5>up on boozing. You weren't there since we fired you
<v Speaker 5>for boozing with the toys. Do you think it was
<v Speaker 5>a hiccup to not include and or mention his Thunderlips figure.
<v Speaker 4>Well, let's bring on de freedom because I mentioned it
<v Speaker 4>to him and he gave me like you would have
<v Speaker 4>thought a robot responded to me, But I know it
<v Speaker 4>was a human. I say no because it's not a
<v Speaker 4>wrestling figure. It's a movie character. It's a movie license.
<v Speaker 4>I know people in that eraror are fond of it
<v Speaker 4>and sentimental because they used it and played with their
<v Speaker 4>remcos and stuff.
<v Speaker 5>But I guess technically it is not a Hulk Hogan figure.
<v Speaker 5>There's also that too, that's a blaring thing, right, but
<v Speaker 5>it does stay on the box. I think it's this
<v Speaker 5>Hulk Hogan as Thunderlips on the box. Hey you want
<v Speaker 5>to pop in real fast and give us Okay, let
<v Speaker 5>me just say thank you for your research getting those
<v Speaker 5>awesome pictures for the whole show.
<v Speaker 4>But I did say something to be like, hey, what
<v Speaker 4>about the LGN hit me d Well.
<v Speaker 2>I did some investigating as well when I was looking
<v Speaker 2>through the when I was taling basically what was a
<v Speaker 2>new Hull Cogan product and what was I mean for
<v Speaker 2>the LGN. Obviously they're a bit nostalgic, so we kind
<v Speaker 2>of discussed a good amount of the products that were
<v Speaker 2>released during that time frame. Besides some of the obvious
<v Speaker 2>carry forwards with the original it would go from a
<v Speaker 2>five back packaging or four back packaging to a twenty
<v Speaker 2>two pack. We didn't talk about all the different versions
<v Speaker 2>of the traditional Well.
<v Speaker 4>You were also instructed to not go deep cut, boring
<v Speaker 4>heavy like re releases and stuff. We didn't want that
<v Speaker 4>because yeah, it would just as well as now in
<v Speaker 4>the episode it's yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I mean some people count like bibbleheads as figures as well,
<v Speaker 2>and they weren't really largely discussed in this. There were
<v Speaker 2>some Toy Bass products that were similar to that with
<v Speaker 2>some final figures, but Apple Works Incorporated, who did manufacture
<v Speaker 2>those hull Cogan as underlips. Rocky figures were licensed through
<v Speaker 2>United Artists Corporations, supposedly, at least that's what they listened
<v Speaker 2>on the packaging, and they did get officials, so I'm
<v Speaker 2>assuming that there was some type of relationship with United
<v Speaker 2>Artists Corporation, who did own the rights to the Rocky
<v Speaker 2>three branding at that time, but they were not licensed
<v Speaker 2>by Titan Sports Incorporated, which held the rights to Halcogan's
<v Speaker 2>name and likeness. So the following year, I believe in
<v Speaker 2>nineteen eighty six, Titan Sports successfully pursued legal action against
<v Speaker 2>Apple Works for unauthorized use of those rights, after which
<v Speaker 2>Apple Works cease operations certainly thereafter, and as a result,
<v Speaker 2>these figures were not included.
<v Speaker 4>So that figure came out like way after Rocky three.
<v Speaker 5>So that Hogan, it's not it looks just like the
<v Speaker 5>Rocky three, but those are by Phoenix Toys.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, the original releases. Yeah, the Rocky three tie
<v Speaker 2>in product line. But Apple Works I guess uh had
<v Speaker 2>some of the tooling or they they just copied it exactly.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not sure what the what the whole thing was
<v Speaker 2>there with in terms of how what happened. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>there could have even been a point to where Apple
<v Speaker 2>Works acquired Phoenix Toys. At that point, toy companies were
<v Speaker 2>just it was a wild West back in the eighties
<v Speaker 2>and nineties. Toy companies were just new ones and failing ones.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, it was not sure the whole details. And
<v Speaker 2>there's probably not many historians or even people that were
<v Speaker 2>previous employees of those companies that have any additional insight
<v Speaker 2>because but potentially they've all passed on because it's it's
<v Speaker 2>been most of them probably were in their thirties and
<v Speaker 2>forties working on these products at that time, and they
<v Speaker 2>don't really have an emotional connection to even uh.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I think than not. It's usually that yeah, guys,
<v Speaker 5>so short. We could accounted it, we didn't. That's why
<v Speaker 5>we didn't count it.
<v Speaker 4>It's definitely worth discussing, like we are, absolutely.
<v Speaker 2>And they've been discussed several times in the past on
<v Speaker 2>the podcast. I think even on the Incarnation of Domination episode.
