00:00:00 Speaker 1: You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio. 00:00:04 Speaker 2: Thought it was just going to be a normal Tuesday in March. WHOA thought we'd get second tier free agent signings. It'd be the Celtics against the Spurs would be the headliner. Then all of a sudden, Max Crosby sent back to Las Vegas, and then all of a sudden, bam out of Bio goes for eighty three. And then the cute little matchup between Team USA and Italy and the World Baseball Classic and it starts out eight nothing Italy and they end up holding on to win it eight to six. Wow, that's what we love about this. Every single day, every single night, might see something that you've never seen before. All right, eight seven to seven, three d P Show email address Dpadanpatrick dot com Twitter handle the DP Show. You had Hofstra Wright, State Raiders, Gonzagas, Siena all punching their ticket to the big dance coming up in about twenty minutes. Diana Recini, she does the Scoop City podcast. She is a NFL insider for the Athletic. She is on the phone or got off the phone with Max Crosby. She'll join us and talk about what is next for Max Crosby and the Raiders that'll be coming up here in a little bit, the Ravens if you're just joining us, returning Max Crosby because they said that long term durability concerns with his knee, and they went out and signed Trey Hendrickson of the Cincinnati Bengals a four year deal for one hundred and twelve million dollars. A seven to seven three DP show operator standing by Tyler, take your phone call. Stat of the Day brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. Good morning, if you're watching the program, whether on Peacock or NBC Sports Network, Let's clean up the poll questions from the first two hours of the program, and then what's the poll question for the final hour on this award nominated program, Seaton. 00:02:02 Speaker 3: More surprising the Crosby trade off, BAM dropping eighty three or Italy over the United States. Right now, BAM putting up eighty three is leading that one by a significant margin. Would you consider Marcus Smart a gritty gutty player? Fifty six percent said yes? And then would you consider Jimmy Butler a gritty, gutty player fifty say yes, all right, Mike and Oregon on that topic, Hi, Mike, what's on your mind? 00:02:32 Speaker 4: DP? 00:02:33 Speaker 5: First time long time A back to Morris point. I think if you go back to Bill Walton's old teammate Maurice Lucas, there's their power forward, gritty and gutty. 00:02:46 Speaker 2: Okay, Hey, I want to argue with that. Certainly wouldn't argue that with Maurice Lucas, by the way, one of the true tough guys. Everybody was afraid of Maurice Lucas back in the day. Rory McElroy looks to defend his Players Championship title against Scotty Scheffler and the strongest field in golf at the TPC Sawgrass Players Championship March fourteenth and fifteenth on NBC in Peacock. I'm looking at the odds for the Players Championship. Scotty Scheffler is an overwhelming favorite. Plus four point thirty five for Scotty Scheffler. Next is Rory McElroy at plus fourteen to seventy five, then Colin Morrikowa, and then see Wu Kim, and then Tommy Fleetwood. Scotty Scheffler, who's had a hard time getting off to good starts. He usually has good finishes, but he is an overwhelming favor Mark in South Carolina. Good morning, Mark, what's on your mind today? 00:03:47 Speaker 6: Good morning? 00:03:48 Speaker 7: Then, thank you for taking my call. I just would like everyone to slow down on the band breaking the record. As a fan of your show, we all want you guys to win a sports any either this year or and did you guys happen to win the Sports Emmy. 00:04:02 Speaker 4: We don't want people. 00:04:03 Speaker 7: Call him in saying, oh, that's not he grown Bob Costas, or they get drown Rich Heisen, or they got Paulie on the team. 00:04:10 Speaker 8: That's not fair. 00:04:12 Speaker 7: We want to celebrate victories and we want to celebrate wins. And it's harder to not score eighty three than it is to score eighty three. So that should be again, like you've been saying all morning, not be taken away from what happened. 00:04:24 Speaker 2: That's what I've been saying. That's still eighty three. You can say it's a young Wizard's team. You could question the coaching philosophy with Eric Spolstra leaving him in the game. Should he have taken himself out in respect to Kobe Bryant, it's just a game. I mean, he had a game, a game for the ages. Kobe's not defined by eighty one. Kobe's so much more than that. This might be what Bam Autebayo is defined by that. He's the guy who put up eighty three and dates Asia Wilson. I mean he's had a really good career, but not a really good scoring career. I think that's what bothers people. If Luca did this or Devin Booker. I mean you could run down the list of players, you'd be like, okay, all right, But the fact that it's Bam out of bio and you probably can't recall any offensive highlight that he's ever had. He just a really good player, really good bit player. Isn't it weird? Of all the jerseys? When the Danetz were at the Miami Heat and they said, Hey, do you want an autograph jersey? And I said, yeah, we'll take Bam out of bio and so he signed the jersey. I've had it hanging out there with Tyler taking phone calls, and it's been in that room there, and all of a sudden, it's like Seaton's got it right, right, by Yes. See, the Heat team doctor is an awesome dude, really really good guy. He came through it that stuff. Yeah, he's the one that said, who do you want? Yeah, Dannett said, we'll take Bam out of Byo. Yeah he's a good Yeah, Paul. 00:06:08 Speaker 9: And if you would have asked a year ago, hey, a heat player is gonna set a scoring record or score over seventy, you'd have picked Charlie hero In this NBA. Tyler's a shooter. He's had sure, he's had a bunch of forty fifty maybe a couple of fifty point games. 00:06:21 Speaker 2: What what do you think the over under will be for Bam out of Bayo's next game they play against Milwaukee. We should be able to find the over under. See if Dylan can work on that. I'm gonna say twenty two and a half. Going, I'm gonna set it at twenty two and a half. We'll try to find that, Yeah, Paul. 00:06:45 Speaker 9: So you're ignoring the game because he averages twenty two point one per game or no, he has a little less than that. He averages I'm sorry, seventeen and a half per game. 00:06:58 Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're going a little yeah, you know, I think they'll be just maybe a little kick there, Maybe you'll feel like he needs to score a little bit more. 00:07:10 Speaker 3: What if he sits out and just says, I feel like you got to give him the night off. Yeah, I feel like you got to give him the night off. 00:07:19 Speaker 2: That would be bad. That'd be bad. Nothing more NBA than that. Really, Hey, let's go out there and cheer Bam out of wait he load management. Yes, time you have. 00:07:33 Speaker 10: To score at least what the next game after scoring eighty three for people not to say with some kind of weird fluke, which obviously scoring eighty points is a crazy thing. 00:07:41 Speaker 2: Way, Well, check and see what Wilt did after that game. Check what Kobe did after his eighty one point performance. They probably didn't go crazy, although Wilt will probably you know, had fifty. I took it easy. I only had fifty tonight and I had eighty three and a half too on that just missed. Yeah, yeah, yeah, had the over. 00:08:04 Speaker 11: Yes, Marvin, what was a casual knife for wol Chamberlain that season? Eddie average fifty and he had one hundred point game during that season. What's the what's the low? 00:08:14 Speaker 2: Like, man, I'm guessing a casual night's fifty. That's just average. Like if he had a bad game, he might have had forty. Yeah, but he's playing against plumbers and electricians. Yeah. 00:08:26 Speaker 11: Yeah. 00:08:26 Speaker 3: Essentially, the whole thing was they threw it down low and he just held his hands up, his arms up, and then turned and put it into the basket. 00:08:33 Speaker 11: And he did that. 00:08:34 Speaker 2: If you look at the Knicks centers in that game, I don't think it's Hall of Fame worthy, Like if we want to look at rosters here, I'm just saying just without saying, yeah, Paul. 00:08:47 Speaker 9: Kobe Bryant had eighty one in late April of six, oh, sorry, late January of o six. But that month he was on a heater. He had forty eight, fifty, forty five, forty one, fifty one in some of the games leading up to it. 00:09:02 Speaker 11: Yes, he was. 00:09:02 Speaker 9: On an absolute heater. He had sixty two the months before, so it was not an anomaly. He goes eighty one, but then over the next week he went thirty thirty nine, forty cooled off all of it. 00:09:15 Speaker 10: Yes, Todd, I'm seeing Wilt fifty eight Kobe twenty eight in their games after their one hundred and eighty one. I'm trying to see other stories on that, but that's what I've seen so far. 00:09:24 Speaker 2: Okay, a couple more phone calls. Ronda in Texas, Hi, Ronda, what's on your mind? 00:09:31 Speaker 12: Good morning, Dan, Thank you. I love your show. Just wanting to say I appreciate the Jay Jacks interview this morning. There was a lot of pressure on VAM last night. Score more than eighty one points, including making each of those free throw shots. And I'm thinking about today Rag that miss free throw shots. So Bam made those shots under extreme pressure. He scored eighty three points and he deserves all the credits. And the best part of the game came after the game when Bam searched out his mom and they exchanged the warmest hugs ever. So congratulations to BAM's proud mom too. 00:10:11 Speaker 2: Thank you all, Thank thank you, Ronda. Thank you for the phone call. Brandon in Utah, Hi Brandon. 00:10:18 Speaker 13: Hey, Hey Dan, this is a third time long time. Just wanted to say, you know, this is another opportunity to not only congratulations to Bam, but also to Will Chamberlain. You know, people talk about him as if he didn't exist. We often overlook everything he did do, who he played against. But if you look at the delta between Wilt and all the rest of the players of his era. Especially during that fifty point average season, he surpassed everyone in terms of compared to people of his own era. So I think we can look at him and within his own time and just really give him the credit that he deserves. 00:10:58 Speaker 4: And this is another, you know, chance to do that. Thanks. 00:11:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, we just don't do it because we look at it. It was a different era, But we don't do that to Babe Ruth. There was no integration when Babe was doing what he was doing. But we still honor those numbers with Wilt. It's just this statistical side show of oh okay, they don't even know how many shots he blocked in games you have modern day there are games where people who were there said that Wilt blocked over twenty shots. We think if you blocked four or five shots in a game, you can be defensive player of the year. Wilt was blocking, you know, upwards of ten to fifteen probably a night, Yes, Marvin. 00:11:45 Speaker 11: Before Michael Jordan was Wil Chamberlain regarded as the greatest player ever. 00:11:49 Speaker 2: No Bill Russell. 00:11:51 Speaker 11: Yeah, see that's another reason, like his main adversary won eleven titles on his watch. I think that's the big thing. Because we talk about championships with NBA players. We don't know how many World Series Babe Ruth has because baseball is a numbers game. Yeah, but it's about individual correct Yes. 00:12:09 Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, but it's you know, why isn't Bill Russell the greatest player of all time if it's just about championships Because we do that with Michael and Lebron where Lebron statistically has had a better career than Mike, but Mike won six titles, didn't lose anything. Will Chamberlain statistically far more dominating the Bill Russell, but Bill Russell won eleven titles. We kind of pick and choose. Look when I saw Wilt play, he was a defensive guy rebounding in defense, so he wasn't a score and I got to see him in Cincinnati and the Royals actually beat the Lakers, but he was there to rebound and play defense because he knew they had a really good offensive team and went on to win thirty three in a row and NBA Championship. 00:13:01 Speaker 9: Yes, Pauling, I went back and looked when Cal Ripkin junior broke Lou Geregg's consecutive game record. I think that was ninety five. I found three or four articles that called for Cal Ripkin, after tying the record, to sit the next game so they'd be tied forever, to protect Lou Grigg's. 00:13:17 Speaker 11: Place in history. 00:13:18 Speaker 9: And these are from one was from a Baltimore columnist. 00:13:21 Speaker 2: Also, a lot of people may not realize that Lou Gegg did this when he was sick. He had this consecutive streak twenty and thirty, and he was sick at the time when he was doing it, at the end of his career. And I think that maybe people look at that and say he would have had a longer streak. But but you know, I still look at what Cal did and it's remarkable. 00:13:47 Speaker 14: Now. 00:13:47 Speaker 2: I mean, nobody will ever come close to that because load management. It's accepted. Cal played, you're supposed to play. He went out there every night, same with lou garreg Yeah. 00:13:59 Speaker 3: See, But what we're talking about today with Bam and Kobe is that Cal Ripken should have stopped at you know, thirteen o six to not pass Everett Scott at second place. 00:14:13 Speaker 2: Exactly. That's the difference. It's like, hold on a minute. 00:14:16 Speaker 3: I mean, Everett did that back in the nineteen tens, nineteen twenty stop at thirteen oh seven, So you guys are tied. 00:14:25 Speaker 2: I would want now I held the record for sports centers over two thousand. I never thought always somebody gonna stop and not surpassed me at sports center. I mean, in my little small world, you didn't have everything it No. 00:14:41 Speaker 14: Are you? 00:14:41 Speaker 2: You never thought of it? No, I didn't think anybody would stay there long enough to put up two thousand and Uh, Linda Cohne blue by that Sorry, Yes, Paul. 00:14:57 Speaker 9: You wanted her to tap out of the after the one she tied you. 00:15:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, it'd been nice if she said I'm not gonna do sports Center. I might have the record for the eleven o'clock sports center checking technically, Louke Eric of sports centers, thank you, jez cal Ripken, Yeah, she should have stopped out of respect for me. 00:15:17 Speaker 11: Flying by a DP. 00:15:19 Speaker 2: Yes, take that all right, let's take a break. You knew who else was Jalen Rose. He doesn't have to hear about guarding Kobe and Kobe getting eighty one and that great commercial that they did when Kobe said that he would take eighty one olives in his Martini. I don't know who the Jalen Rose of the Wizards was last night. I don't know who was. Who's going to own up to guarding or trying to guard Bam out of Bio Marvin. 00:17:13 Speaker 11: I don't know. But the issue is there was nobody that famous like Chris Bosh played for the Raptors and Jalen Rose played for the Raptors. There was guys that we knew. We don't know anybody on this Wizards scene. 00:17:24 Speaker 2: Diana Rassini has been very busy this morning senior NFL insider for The Athletic and co hosted the Athletics Scoop City podcast with Chase Daniel. What can you tell us today that we didn't know yesterday about this Max Crosby situation. 00:17:42 Speaker 16: Well, we're still learning lots of facts as this has been really the biggest story in sports because you just don't see this a lot. And from what I gathered over the last twelve hours, we'll call it fourteen hours. 00:17:54 Speaker 2: Now. 00:17:55 Speaker 16: Max Crosby was in Baltimore for a physical. Right, the Baltimore Ravens had done their research, They'd done. 00:18:01 Speaker 17: Their work on his medicals. All teams do that. 00:18:03 Speaker 16: In fact, other teams that were trying to trade for Max had conversations with his surgeons. They had conversations with the Raiders doctors to basically try to get an idea of where Max's knee was at. So Baltimore knew the exact timeline of where Max was at in terms of the return and the rehab process, and six months appeared to be kind of like the timeline of when he could be a full go. And so when he went in for his physical, from what I've learned, things just seemed really off in the building all day, that something wasn't right. And he had his physical, and the Ravens doctors looked at the MRI and then they had four or five independent doctors take a look at it as well, and together they made the decision that this trade was not worth it based on what they discovered in his knee. And I think the way they it is in the short term, Max would be fine for twenty seven he would have been okay. The long term was their hang up, and that was the problem. And that's when they made the decision, and they sat Max Crosby down in their offices and said, look, thank you for flying out here, thank you for saying your farewell goodbye. Not sure if we're gonna you know, we're doing the right thing here, but we believe we are, and this trade is off the table. So now Max, he's back in the facility today, he's under contract with the readers. He's doing what he does all the time, which is workout and try to get that knee ready to go. And I think there's a good chance that Max Crosby is a reader for twenty twenty seven. 00:19:43 Speaker 2: I just wonder if there was buyer remorse with this, Diana, where the Ravens don't give up draft picks, they don't draft in the top fifteen. Now all of a sudden, you're giving up two. Maybe you realize, you know, we could get Trey Hendrickson and not give up all of this. Yeah, I don't mean to be cynical about the medicals, not being. 00:20:03 Speaker 17: Cynical this thing stakes, what are you talking about? You're spot on. 00:20:08 Speaker 16: There's one hundred percent shadiness going down right now. And the reason why I say that so firmly is because I've had so many conversations with people around football who understand where Max is at with his knee. Nothing was surprising, and this trade wasn't really about what Max was going to be able to do for the Baltimore Ravens in twenty thirty, twenty twenty nine. 00:20:34 Speaker 17: Right, this is what twenty twenty seven. 00:20:36 Speaker 16: So let's just say they look at this MRI and the knee is a disaster compared to the way you know projected it to be. 00:20:45 Speaker 17: Because teams do do that too. 00:20:46 Speaker 16: I had a general manager this morning explained to me just going through their process of what they do and team doctors do this, they go, Okay, this is what the knee looks like. This is what we're giving it in terms of length. When it will become a problem, when this will bubble up, And the Baltimore Ravens had that information and for them, they didn't feel that this need would hold up for the long term. So I just think with the Trey Hendrickson situation out there and him holding off waiting for the numbers that he was looking for, I think the Baltimore Ravens, who already did a move that they don't normally do. You've got to have a certain type of philosophy and stomach to give away two first round picks for a soon to be twenty nine year old pass rusher. And I think after the last few days, they sat there and go, you know what, we lost eight players to the New York Giants. We lost Tyler Linderbaum, like we need more, and they made the decision to go aggressive and they were able to secure Trey Hendrickson last night. 00:21:45 Speaker 2: Feels like a convenient failed physical to me. Is that a nice way of putting it. 00:21:51 Speaker 7: Yeah. 00:21:51 Speaker 16: I think there's definitely things that they saw on the MRI that they weren't thrilled about. But I think most around the world league are looking at what the Ravens just did. They're certainly frowning upon it. Everyone's got strong opinions about it. I don't really think it's going to change anything. It doesn't mean that no one's going to do business with the Baltimore Ravens. If next year Lamar Jackson says he wants out, you know, I don't think that's going to change. 00:22:15 Speaker 17: People are still going to deal with them. 00:22:17 Speaker 16: But look, this stuff happens, you know, and they have every right because this was all a hypothetical trade essentially, right because it really doesn't become official until four o'clock today anyways. 00:22:28 Speaker 17: So okay, they had the right to do it, and they did it. 00:22:31 Speaker 2: Could the Cowboys rescind the offer to Rashaun Gary and engage re engage with the Raiders for Max Crosby if they do it before four o'clock today. 00:22:42 Speaker 16: Yeah, they absolutely can, because nothing is official yet. But most organizations don't want to do business that way. Most don't want to have the kickback that we're seeing right now around Baltimore. And look, they can't come out and say anything. I think they A lot of people are warning, why aren't they putting out a statement, Why aren't they talking to one of us to say, here's what happened. According to them, they can't speak on medical right now. Max Crosby was never their player, He was never a Baltimore Raven. He was just there to go through the process of the physical before they signed the paperwork and made this thing official. So now Vegas is sitting there and of course they're hoping teams call but from what I understand, they're not moving off the two first round asking price that they have, like they're sticking with that. 00:23:30 Speaker 17: And I see the way this is going to play out. 00:23:34 Speaker 16: At least this is how I think it will go. I think Max will be you know, play out the twenty seven year. He's only twenty nine, And I bet you we're doing this story next year where you're just going to run this whole thing back. 00:23:45 Speaker 2: Max's reaction to this, of being told face to face that go back to the Raiders when he thought he was done with the Raiders. 00:23:55 Speaker 17: Well, just think about what that's like for him and his family. 00:23:58 Speaker 16: You say you're goodbye, you do them messaging, you're you've already moved on mentally from playing with the Raiders, which I don't believe was easy for him either. I know it didn't work out well at the end of the season. He obviously had issues with the way they managed him in regard to his injury. He wanted to continue playing. He didn't want to be shut down. They of course didn't want him to be out on the field because of the knee, but also they wanted to secure this number one overall pick, which they got, so Now, look, we've all watched Max Crosby. He shares so much of his life on social media. We see him in a lot of interviews. I don't think this is somebody who is going to just be so frustrated and angry by the situation and declare that he's not going to play for the Raiders. This is someone that's just gonna probably be I had one person in football reach out over text of like I am frightened for whoever's got a line up against Max Crosby this season, like the chip he's gonna have on his shoulder to shove it back to the Baltimore Ravens. But also I think there's probably just embarrassment here, a bit, you know of I can't believe I just went through all this. I just got on a jet, flew to Baltimore, my family spent the day with the team, and it just doesn't it doesn't work out. 00:25:14 Speaker 2: So I when did they engage with Trey Hendrickson? Do you think, like this pretty quick turnaround? 00:25:21 Speaker 16: Yesterday they had conversations with Trey Hendrickson over the phone. They spoke with him, because you know how now the teams can have these conversations with with with with free Agents. 00:25:30 Speaker 2: They spoke before or after Max crosby decision. 00:25:34 Speaker 16: I don't know when they I know they informed Max leader in the afternoon because I was talking to some people in the building when I started to get texts that something was going on, which, by the way, like you want to trust your instincts in these situations. 00:25:49 Speaker 17: That was not what I thought. 00:25:50 Speaker 2: That was. 00:25:51 Speaker 16: Like when I heard something was going on, you know, I'm thinking Lamar's deal, like I was barking up the Untrey disclosure there. But as soon as the Raiders put out the statement, I knew. Me I'm like, physical, oh my god, you know you know, and. 00:26:07 Speaker 17: Unfortunately we were able to report that. 00:26:09 Speaker 16: But you don't tell the Las Vegas Raiders the trade is off for Max Crosby unless you got a backup plan. 00:26:19 Speaker 17: Yeah, I put it that way. You're not doing It's a hard decision. 00:26:23 Speaker 16: You're taking heat, You're you're possibly affecting the relationship with John Spytech there, you know in readers in terms of doing deals with them. Again, there's a lot that comes with that decision. But I think in the end, Eric da Costa looked at the situation was like I'm not willing to do this. I there's I can't, I can't go along with this, and in the end they. 00:26:43 Speaker 17: Made the call. 00:26:46 Speaker 2: Talking to Diana Roussini, a senior NFL insider for The Athletic co host of the Athletic Scoop City podcast with Chase Daniel, yeah, I feel bad for the Raiders because they had a whole different mindset of we're moving on from Max and we're going to move on from this contract. And they spent money and they started to build their team as if they needed a couple of years before they're going to be, you know, respectable competitive, And now all of a sudden, you got a guy who's great, but you know, if you trade him, you're probably not going to get what you thought you were going to get. I just I'm actually rooting for the Raiders to maybe get this right Monday, and I thought that they were headed in that direction, and then all of a sudden, I mean, if the consolation prize is you get Max Crosby back, but you don't need him now, maybe in two years you need a Max Crosby kind of player, but you don't need Max now at that price. But this team, and I know you're. 00:27:48 Speaker 16: Looking at the moves and you're coming up with that philosophy of this is what their plan is, that they're just rebuilding. 00:27:54 Speaker 17: But that's the truth. 00:27:54 Speaker 16: That's that's how they're been that's how they've been speaking to free agents and to agents about where they're at. This isn't a team that's going all in for right now to try to win a Super Bowl like we've seen around the league. This is a team that knows they're trying to rebuild. They're trying to rebuild it the right way, and they they've got the money and they've got the picks to do it. 00:28:16 Speaker 17: So look, is it awkward? Probably? 00:28:19 Speaker 16: I mean I give credit to Max Crosby for driving into the facility today, right like to just go back to work. And I guess I'm a raider. I mean I think he had a going away party based on his social media. 00:28:32 Speaker 2: Building. 00:28:33 Speaker 17: He's in the building working out, like going through rehab as a reader, you know. 00:28:38 Speaker 16: And and by the way, in credit to him too, just you know, six year anniversary of his sobriety is today, you know. I, by the way, this is just me like Coleman is I got way too much on my hand on his social media. But but but you know, first of all, to shout out to him six years clean and obviously has had a tremendous career, but now just head down back to work. 00:29:00 Speaker 17: He is the sort of model leader you want on your team. 00:29:04 Speaker 16: So I do think there will be organizations that are having conversations right now, going all right, we need a pass rusher. Who's out there. There's not that many great ones left. You've got Grenard in Minnesota. The teams are poking around on You've got the Philadelphia Eagles, who said a lot more goodbyes than Hello's lately. You know that how he's got something up his sleeve. They're engaging in some of those huks. But maybe there will be some shift to Max Crosby. But but you know, I think this is going to be more of a scenario where we see him in a Raiders' uniform. 00:29:34 Speaker 2: Great stuff are the kids in school? 00:29:38 Speaker 17: This look Mikey's biting Joey in the middle of all this. And I don't mean like a little like you know, one of you know, like a little fake fight. It was deep teeth in the arm, screaming. I'm like, guys, not now. My husband's like, what do you want me to do. 00:29:54 Speaker 16: I'm like something something, This is the biggest sports I was doing all my tweeting night on my back porch, just like a weird I just thinking myself. I sometimes I wish I could just video this for my kids to see one day of like, look what you did to me, Look how you aged me. 00:30:12 Speaker 2: You know, Cheffy doesn't have to deal with this. Glazer doesn't have to deal with this. 00:30:18 Speaker 16: I think they all have their own things at home. Everyone's got family, everyone's got things. No one's got Mikey and Joey though, I can. 00:30:23 Speaker 2: Tell you, Oh, I know, no, they don't. I know you're busy. Thanks for taking time. 00:30:29 Speaker 17: Appreciate you having me. 00:30:31 Speaker 2: Diana Rassini. You can hear her on the athletic podcast Scoop City with Chase Daniel. 00:30:38 Speaker 6: Uh. 00:30:40 Speaker 2: You imagine Max Crosby goes back, does the swipe card work? You know, is somebody in your parking spot? That's wild? Also earlier, the Ravens restructured Lamar Jackson's contract. That'll free up forty million dollars for this year. Jeff and san Antonio, Hi, Jeff, What's on your mind? 00:31:00 Speaker 4: Day? The one to DP picks for fitting me in body. 00:31:03 Speaker 18: Yeh. 00:31:04 Speaker 4: First off about some gritty players Yokumnoah, Tony Allen. And then in my opinion, plays sixty seven points in three quarters, way better than at a Bio's eighty three there. And then lastly you let off the show the same. 00:31:18 Speaker 18: This is going to be a disaster for the Raiders. The Raiders are in a perfect position. They had one of the best offseasons they've had in like twenty years. And then with Bosby, we won six games last two years, so wouldn't find with them without him, we got picks, they had a great you know, free agency. He saw the picks are getting Mendoza, so maybe minus a pick or something. Best case scenario, we get Causby back and he helps with the rebuilding. 00:31:41 Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, the rebuild is a couple of years away. And as much as I'd love to have Max Crosby, I've said before he's one of my favorite players to watch because he never stops. But you were getting two first round picks, and that's how you build. Max comes back, but Max is for a team that, like the Ravens, ready to win. Now. 00:32:01 Speaker 9: Yeah, Paul, I've got Crosby's contract in front of me. He signed it about a year and a half ago. For twenty twenty six, he will make thirty five million dollars. For twenty twenty seven, he'll make twenty nine million dollars. They paid a lot upfront. He's relatively affordable as of right now. Maybe not in a football sense, but financially, and after the twenty twenty seven season they owe him nothing. 00:32:23 Speaker 2: I will agree, Joe, Kim Noah, gritty and gutty and see as a player. 00:32:28 Speaker 11: Sure. 00:32:29 Speaker 2: Daniel in California, Hey, Daniel. 00:32:33 Speaker 18: I have a question. 00:32:35 Speaker 4: With all the controversy around Will Chamberlain would be considered a gritty and gutty player in current air. 00:32:42 Speaker 2: No, because Will was one of the most talented athletic people to walk the planet. He ran track, did volleyball, played for the Globetrotters, dominated basketball. No, No, he wouldn't be a gritty, gutty guy. Jim in Oregon, Hi, Jim, what's on your mind? 00:33:01 Speaker 14: I was just gonna well first off five, five to nine, about two hundred towns. I saw Wilt play his last game in Portland. He was thirty six years of age. He had seventeen points, thirty one to rebound eleven assists, and depending on which newspaper you want to listen to, he had either six, eight or nine blocks. 00:33:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know they didn't keep those stats. And same with Bill Russell. I mean Bill Russell would have had more block shots than wil Chamberlain probably, but I mean there were games when these guys would have fifteen to twenty block shots. Take a break. Last call for phone calls, what we learn, what's in store tomorrow, and final results of the poll. Question back after this. 00:33:50 Speaker 1: Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio dot com and within the iHeartRadio APPSSR to listen live. 00:34:02 Speaker 2: Trey Hendrickson goes to the Ravens, Well, I'd love to know when the Ravens reached out to Trey Hendrickson's attorney or agent. You got Max Crosby right in front of you, and all of a sudden you say to his face, this isn't gonna work out. Thank you. We have some nice parting gifts. And then Trey Hendrickson was announced a couple hours ago. It's nice to have options. I don't think you make that move in a vacuum. I think you make that move knowing that you have something in the on deck circle. Yeah, Seaton. 00:34:34 Speaker 3: I wonder if at any point there's going to be maybe some recourse from the NFLPA on this. 00:34:39 Speaker 2: Yeah, Paulie and I have talked about it. I just don't know how you can prove anything, you know, if you don't like what you see, if you look at the X rays, the MRI with his knee. I just don't know if you can say, hey, we're turning down this deal. We feel nervous about it. I think the Ravens got what they really want, and that is they got an edge rusher and they didn't have to give up their draft picks. It's a smarter move, I think, And if you factor in Max Crosby's knee, then it's a no brainer to me. It just it feels like, well, you know, Diana Recini said, no, there is something shady about this. 00:35:19 Speaker 9: Yeah, paul I'm curious how one fails a physical. Is it like sixty nine percent to seventy and seventy is a pass or is it in the eye of the beholder? Was there new information? And I know the Ravens can't give out any Max Crosby information. But Max Crosby could tell us or someone else what were you told as for what new information that they didn't get from the Raiders, because they would have gotten it from the Raiders. 00:35:43 Speaker 2: And I'm wondering if you get X rays. I don't know how this works, so I'm just throwing it out there. If I'm going to trade for Max Crosby, I'm going to give you two first round picks. Can you send me his medicals? Can Max sign off on you sending the medicals here? So we can start to get ahead of this, because I don't want to wait until you get there and then look at your knee. I want to know, let's see what it looks like when you had surgery in January, and then we can get ahead of this and then we're gonna do our own medical evaluation. Just feels like something, something is there, Yeah, Paul, I think. 00:36:24 Speaker 9: The Ravens got caught up in the free agent fervor and they don't trade draft picks because they draft really well historically, the Ravens. And they saw the Bills making a big splash, and we're going to make a big splash. And then they said, what did we give up because they got critiqued a little bit for giving up a lot for an injured twenty eight year old and it could be convenient. 00:36:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, but DJ Moore doesn't scare me if I'm Baltimore. What scares me is I lost eight players. You got to you lost your center. I mean you you lost player, you lost a tight end. I mean this is you can't afford to give up those draft picks. And that's why I kept going you. You've lost a lot of players. Now you get the restructured contract with Lamar, and then I can get Trey Hendrickson. He's not better than Max Crosby, but he makes more sense than Max Crosby does, and I get to keep my draft picks. Yes, Marvin, how. 00:37:17 Speaker 11: Much did the Super Bowl odds change now that they have Trey instead of Max. 00:37:22 Speaker 2: I don't think it changed too much. I was looking this morning, but this is before they when they lost Max Crosby. I think they went I mean a slight dip, but I don't have the exact numbers here. But now getting Trey Hendrickson, they may have gone back up where they're a top five super Bowl favorite. David in Indiana, Hi David, what's on your mind? 00:37:47 Speaker 8: Hey Dan, thanks for taking my call. I just want to say that Todd is my role model, and I try and model all my fumor after Todd. That being said, everyone at work finds me annoyed. But I have a question for Todd. Can we get one dining moment sometime this week? 00:38:06 Speaker 2: Well we have to wait until the end of March, madness. Don't wait for one dining moment? Or do you want to hear last year's version of one dining moment? We can work on that, David. You know, how about meet Friday. We'll do one dining moment? Ruined everyone's appet Frank in Connecticut, Hi Frank, what's on your mind? 00:38:33 Speaker 6: And I'm going to try to make a perfect call like Chris and Syracuse. I have three things. First, two great guests today. Diana Rassini is amazing. She reminds me of every woman I grew up with in the Hell's Kitchen. One tough fraud. Secondly, Marvin I used to meet in the stopping shop parking lot all the time, but since he's making big money now, he's going to old foods and I met them. 00:39:08 Speaker 2: And what's the third point? 00:39:11 Speaker 6: The third point is on March nineteen sixty two, I was going to clean out my locker at Powell Memorial and I saw my coach, Jack Donahue, and I said, hey, Coach, I've seen will score one hundred points. He said, Riley, you couldn't score one hundred points if I gave you the ball the empty gym and forty eight minutes. That's how I remember it. 00:39:38 Speaker 2: Thank you, Frank Power Memorial, where Luel Sindor went to school. Jeremiah in Colorado. Hey Jeremiah, Hey. 00:39:49 Speaker 4: Dan, first time, long time, six' two three. 00:39:52 Speaker 11: Ten thank. 00:39:56 Speaker 4: YOU i wanted to give you a greedy and gutty player About Quincy. 00:40:01 Speaker 2: Acy Quincy. Now this is before they Got Trey. Hendrickson it was The rams at plus seven, Fifty seahawks plus nine. Hundred The ravens are now plus nine. Fifty they were plus nine.
