<v Speaker 1>Is it life? We're alive? Are you sure? Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Welcome on into the Nonsendo Podcast. <v Speaker 1>My name is Wood. It is a. <v Speaker 2>Okay day weatherwise, it's not really summer, it's not really full. <v Speaker 1>It just kind of is what it is. It is <v Speaker 1>what it is. We have a. <v Speaker 2>Fun, action packed show with guests, surprises, and so much more. <v Speaker 1>So much is happening today? So much is happening today. Okay, <v Speaker 1>Now I don't like the way you're saying that. <v Speaker 2>Why because it kind of sounds like there's not a <v Speaker 2>lot happen there is. Also, I'm not fried biscuits. <v Speaker 1>I would switched to me. I know, I know, but <v Speaker 1>it was on me. Cut toyar fry biscuits. You can <v Speaker 1>do it. Hit it again. There you go. He's back, everybody. <v Speaker 1>I'm back the Bungle native h Yeah, welcome on it, everybody. <v Speaker 2>I'm excited to do a fun show where we just <v Speaker 2>talk about. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo and the games and the switch and everything to <v Speaker 1>do with it. All right, Okay, you look at me <v Speaker 1>like that? All right? You can you can? I cut it? <v Speaker 1>I cut it. You know what? <v Speaker 3>You know what, We'll get us in the mood. In <v Speaker 3>the middle of that stream deck, there's a little button <v Speaker 3>that says the word intro. Oh hell yeah, all right, <v Speaker 3>So we have a lot, a lot a lot today, <v Speaker 3>Well we do, but also not we do. <v Speaker 1>We do, but like not we do, but like we <v Speaker 1>don't we. <v Speaker 3>The title of the episode or the of the podcast <v Speaker 3>today is switched to two months later because I do <v Speaker 3>I want to talk about the first couple months, because <v Speaker 3>I feel like, well, I want to get into it, <v Speaker 3>but I feel like the first month was like awesome, <v Speaker 3>it was home, it was really good, you know, like, <v Speaker 3>and we duck tailed the end of that month with <v Speaker 3>Donkey Kong. This second month though, the second month though, <v Speaker 3>I mean we just duck tailed it with Drag x Drive, <v Speaker 3>which came out today, and Bengal and I we just <v Speaker 3>played it about an hour ago because we wanted to <v Speaker 3>get a little bit in so we could talk about it, <v Speaker 3>and we will. We will talk about it as well <v Speaker 3>as some other stuff. But before we get into all <v Speaker 3>of that, there's something way more important. There's way more <v Speaker 3>pressing news. <v Speaker 1>Now. I will let you know that I think this <v Speaker 1>is a leak. Oh yeah, I think it is. <v Speaker 3>Okay, So if you don't want to see the leaked <v Speaker 3>track list from Taylor Swift and her new album look <v Speaker 3>Away or avert your ears now. But it's very important <v Speaker 3>and it pertains to the show. You can show it. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>this is over on Twitter right now. This is the <v Speaker 3>eleaked track list for the new album Now King, I <v Speaker 3>want you to see. If you're seeing what I'm seeing, <v Speaker 3>read down that track list and let me know when <v Speaker 3>you get it. My girl is out here. Track nine <v Speaker 3>is just what it's my name? Hell yeah, I am <v Speaker 3>track nine of the new album. I'm honestly so excited. Also, <v Speaker 3>orange is my favorite color. It always has been. And <v Speaker 3>apparently the color of this new era is orange. Oh <v Speaker 3>hell yeah apparently. And this is such a crazy thing <v Speaker 3>to say. Orange things are selling out? <v Speaker 1>Really, yeah, just. <v Speaker 2>Orange stuff because because sailor sailor Taylor Halo, because Taylor <v Speaker 2>Swift's a new album and like the new era that <v Speaker 2>she's in or whatever, the theme the color theme is orange, <v Speaker 2>you know how like Brat's summer was like that neon green. <v Speaker 3>Yes, this is orange now. And so when I say <v Speaker 3>orange things are selling out, I just mean orange stuff, <v Speaker 3>just just like like whatever's colored orange is just being <v Speaker 3>sold out like more than the others. <v Speaker 2>That's the Taylor Swift effect that is the Taylor Swift effect. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, I am Track nine. However, I would I <v Speaker 2>don't want to focus on it. I see it, but <v Speaker 2>track ten is can That's why I left, That's why <v Speaker 2>I was laughing this Wood cancer. <v Speaker 1>Yeah it does. Yeah, it's actually even better than that. <v Speaker 3>Kim was like, this is really like written by your haters, <v Speaker 3>because if you go from eight to eleven as a sentence, <v Speaker 3>it's kind of like wish list wood canceled, Honey. Number <v Speaker 3>eight is a wish list, nine is would ten is canceled, <v Speaker 3>and eleven is Honey like the browser extension. <v Speaker 2>Do you think she's gonna be Is that you think <v Speaker 2>that's a sponsor? Oh yeah, Track eleven is a sponsor <v Speaker 2>by Honey. I can't wait for them to steal all <v Speaker 2>those affiliate links. I wouldn't say I'm a huge tailor fan, <v Speaker 2>but I am. I appreciate her. Actually cut away for <v Speaker 2>a second. I don't have to show it, but I'll <v Speaker 2>look it up. Kim sent it to me yesterday. She <v Speaker 2>went on you know how she's dating that Travis Kelcey <v Speaker 2>or whatever. She went on the podcast that they do together. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>and it's like the first time that she's ever like <v Speaker 2>sat down and just talked really. Yeah, she like doesn't <v Speaker 2>really do interviews or podcasts or anything, and it's the <v Speaker 2>first time anyone's actually really heard her just like talk <v Speaker 2>candidly for two hours. So when I was watching it yesterday, <v Speaker 2>it had one point three million live viewers. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, did that break a record? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it broke YouTube apparently, like YouTube like went down <v Speaker 3>or something for a bit. <v Speaker 2>And that's even more than Twitch ever had on a <v Speaker 2>single live stream. It Actually, I think it's the most <v Speaker 2>concurrent live viewers in a single live stream. <v Speaker 3>So this podcast episode aired twenty two hours ago. Do <v Speaker 3>you want to guess how many views it has right now? <v Speaker 1>Yes? Over six hundred million? Yeah, double that, it has <v Speaker 1>twelve mill Wait what did you say? Six hundred million? No? <v Speaker 3>No, no, oh I was all way over yeah over <v Speaker 3>it has twelve million views right now. <v Speaker 1>For one point three concurrent. <v Speaker 3>Well, people wanted to watch it live, I think, although <v Speaker 3>it could also just be like not updated. <v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know if YouTube can handle <v Speaker 1>that many numbers. <v Speaker 2>Well, I know YouTube takes a while to actually update <v Speaker 2>numbers and stuff, but I think it's going. <v Speaker 3>To be way over that, way way over that. I <v Speaker 3>mean we'll see anyway, Sorry about that tangent. I just <v Speaker 3>thought it was so funny. You know, you know Hannah <v Speaker 3>Bob's bubbs, Bob's wife now Bob's wife. Yeah, congratulate gratulations. <v Speaker 3>By the way, wait, should we should we bring up <v Speaker 3>pictures of that? <v Speaker 1>We could? Let me see here. I don't know if <v Speaker 1>I'm logged. I am logged in. <v Speaker 3>Okay, Actually I think Yeah, Hannah's been sharing a ton <v Speaker 3>Bob friend of the show. <v Speaker 1>Bob heard of him, No. <v Speaker 3>He He and Hannah went and they got hitched in <v Speaker 3>uh in Vegas last week. Very exciting. I was very <v Speaker 3>happy for them. <v Speaker 1>Here we go. <v Speaker 3>Here's a photo you can show this. Oh my god, <v Speaker 3>look at him. That's that's such a pretty photo. That's <v Speaker 3>an awesome photo. <v Speaker 2>I'm jealous of who of Hannah? <v Speaker 1>Always a bridesmaid? Huh uh? Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Hannah just messaged me yesterday with just capital ladders letters <v Speaker 3>track nine and. <v Speaker 1>I was like, what do you what? <v Speaker 3>What's track nine? I had to google it. She's definitely <v Speaker 3>a swiftie. Oh my god, I'm now realizing she tagged <v Speaker 3>Taylor Swift in this image. <v Speaker 1>That's how swifty she is. She tagged Bob and Taylor. <v Speaker 1>Oh my god, she's so funny. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's get let's get it on track. All right, <v Speaker 2>let's we're getting on track. We're getting on track. Sorry <v Speaker 2>about that. We're just having fun out here. <v Speaker 1>You know. We're also really happy for our friends. <v Speaker 3>We are really happy for them. Shout out, love him <v Speaker 3>to death. So where should we begin? I guess Drag <v Speaker 3>x Drive came out today, so we can talk about <v Speaker 3>that over here on YouTube. We have a and you <v Speaker 3>can show it. However, right now, it is playing a <v Speaker 3>trailer for Hulu. Do you know that Hulu is getting <v Speaker 3>absorbed by Disney? <v Speaker 1>One? I knew. I knew. Hulu was very involved with this, <v Speaker 1>like Disney bought. <v Speaker 3>It's been on Disney for a while. The actual Hulu <v Speaker 3>app is getting discontinued, and it's just going to be <v Speaker 3>part of Hulu. I'm just gonna be part of Disney now. <v Speaker 3>And you know what, the only reason I'm mentioning this <v Speaker 3>is because this is how it begins. Disney is gonna <v Speaker 3>start absorbing all of these They're gonna own Netflix eventually, <v Speaker 3>I guarantee it. I No, well, no, Disney's gonna own <v Speaker 3>everything they already bought. We already know this, but they <v Speaker 3>bought Marvel, Star Wars, you know, Pixar. They're buying they're <v Speaker 3>buying out competition, but they're buying out like all of <v Speaker 3>the leading everything. <v Speaker 1>Right, that's gonna be like an anti trust or something like. <v Speaker 1>That's it. That's a monopoly at this point. Well they are. <v Speaker 1>They are a monopoly. It is paused. It's just really <v Speaker 1>delayed because it's doing that thing. It's the ultimate model. <v Speaker 1>Can you stop it? Can you pause it? I got it, <v Speaker 1>you can hear it? Yes? Did you deactivate it and <v Speaker 1>activate it? All? Right? <v Speaker 3>It's actually the sites muted. I don't know why it <v Speaker 3>did that. Sorry about that, everybody. We've had a lot <v Speaker 3>of audio for some reason. The audio that comes from <v Speaker 3>the laptop is like five minutes delayed. <v Speaker 2>So it doesn't start off five minutes delayed. It's very confusing. <v Speaker 2>It starts off like a millisecond delayed, and then it <v Speaker 2>just builds up and adds till it's like five minutes. <v Speaker 3>It's very confusing. So like, right then, we had no <v Speaker 3>way of stopping that without being all shutting down the <v Speaker 3>whole source because I paused it five minutes ago. Anyway, <v Speaker 3>what we were saying is Disney's gonna end up buying <v Speaker 3>all these streaming sites. Yeah, They're gonna have a monopoly <v Speaker 3>on everything, and it really it sucks. <v Speaker 2>I'm not I'm not a fan of that. Also, I <v Speaker 2>wonder if that like implies like to uh with the <v Speaker 2>because like, do you remember way back when uh someone <v Speaker 2>someone got hurt or something happened at Disney Park and <v Speaker 2>they voided all their rights to actually bring Disney to <v Speaker 2>a trial because they checked the box on Disney Plus. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, there was there was something about Disney is allowed <v Speaker 3>to uh unalive you if you've if you've like signed <v Speaker 3>up for Disney Plus and checked the boss. <v Speaker 2>Yeah they don't they You're not allowed to bring them <v Speaker 2>to court. Yes, you checked the box. <v Speaker 1>Really weird. <v Speaker 3>I'm sitting through another ad right now because I tried <v Speaker 3>to skip ahead. You can show it though. So this <v Speaker 3>is IGN's review of Drag x Drive. Apparently I can't <v Speaker 3>play the audio unfortunately. I don't know why video is <v Speaker 3>fine and audio isn't. It doesn't really matter, but uh, <v Speaker 3>this was reviewed by our buddy Logan, who we love <v Speaker 3>so well and we trust and we admire, and he <v Speaker 3>gave it a six, which is okay, okay. Also, a <v Speaker 3>lot of the comments on this were saying that Logan <v Speaker 3>gave it a very generous six. The sait he gave <v Speaker 3>it a glowing six out of ten. So I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>see if I can go back and hit play while <v Speaker 3>I talk, or if it's going to sit through an <v Speaker 3>ad again. <v Speaker 1>Okay, here we go. <v Speaker 3>So Binga and I played it, and I played it <v Speaker 3>for what twenty minutes? <v Speaker 1>Half an hour? Yeah, r on there. The tutorial sucked. <v Speaker 1>Thirty half hour of that was. <v Speaker 3>The tutorial was brutal because it just handholds you the <v Speaker 3>whole way and has you do the same thing over <v Speaker 3>and over and you can't you can't skip, like you <v Speaker 3>can't press eight for next. You just need to sit <v Speaker 3>there and wait while it's like push forward, and you <v Speaker 3>push forward and then you have to wait thirty seconds <v Speaker 3>and then it'll fade out and then it will say okay, <v Speaker 3>now try the break and you hit the brake and <v Speaker 3>it's like, okay, I did it. <v Speaker 1>It's not a tutorial like. <v Speaker 3>You do the thing and it and it tits and <v Speaker 3>it's like okay, next, it's we're gonna give you thirty <v Speaker 3>seconds to play around with this before we move on. <v Speaker 3>It was very It just took so long. By the <v Speaker 3>time I was done with the tutorial, my arm, like <v Speaker 3>my forearms were already kind of hurting, which, to be fair, <v Speaker 3>is probably a me issue for being weak. I don't know, <v Speaker 3>Maybe it'll get easier over time the more you play, <v Speaker 3>maybe you'll get like crazy beefy forearms or be like Popo, <v Speaker 3>be like Popeye. <v Speaker 2>But then I got into a game and it was <v Speaker 2>I don't I mean, it was fine. <v Speaker 1>I like the idea. <v Speaker 3>I feel like this has been echoed a lot by <v Speaker 3>people online. It feels it feels a little bad. It <v Speaker 3>feels a little weird to keep saying every time I <v Speaker 3>play a Nintendo game lately, this should have been freed, <v Speaker 3>this should have been a packing game. But I think <v Speaker 3>it's because we're looking for something that could have been <v Speaker 3>a packing game. We're looking for like because Nintendo was <v Speaker 3>so good about doing or usually about usually packing right, <v Speaker 3>and we just had Astrobot and PlayStation and it was <v Speaker 3>nice to have something free. So we keep looking at <v Speaker 3>some of these experiences like this or like Welcome to It, <v Speaker 3>and we keep wondering why one of these wasn't a <v Speaker 3>packing game, and if you're gonna charge us for welcome <v Speaker 3>to it. <v Speaker 1>All right, this could have been. <v Speaker 3>Free, it could this could have been free. Yeah, I agree, <v Speaker 3>it's very basic. It's very rudimentary. It is what it is. <v Speaker 3>Your control scheme is push forward on one and push <v Speaker 3>back on the other, you know, like front. You can <v Speaker 3>go like this or you can go back, and then <v Speaker 3>you can break and you can shoot and you can pass, <v Speaker 3>and that's it. <v Speaker 2>You can also do some tricks a little bit, but <v Speaker 2>you're still doing the same thing, You're still using the <v Speaker 2>same controls. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean, it's just very it's rudimentary. I don't <v Speaker 3>know what other word to use. Also, it's lacking like <v Speaker 3>any kind of Nintendo charm. It's the characters are boring <v Speaker 3>the world and like the map is so gray scale <v Speaker 3>and dark and bleak. <v Speaker 2>I mean I think, like, yeah, this this game, it's <v Speaker 2>very boring. The other thing, it feels a little jank, right, <v Speaker 2>like I'm not I. <v Speaker 3>Mean, yeah, it feels it feels jank because the control <v Speaker 3>it's like you're it's weird you're like doing like this <v Speaker 3>with them, like what like I know that like this <v Speaker 3>is Nintendo's new gimmick, is the mouse controls. But you know, <v Speaker 3>we've had mice for computers for years. When have you <v Speaker 3>ever played a game with a mouse where you like <v Speaker 3>have to to mice or even two? Yeah, well just <v Speaker 3>just just just say one where like that the whole game. <v Speaker 1>I mean, maybe there is a game like that. <v Speaker 3>I mean, I don't know what point I'm trying to make. <v Speaker 3>It's just like, it's not it's so much work to play. <v Speaker 3>It's it's tiring, it's very it's tiring. <v Speaker 2>I feel like they can make some adjustments to make <v Speaker 2>so you're not moving it around so much, you know, <v Speaker 2>like maybe a little bit less movement, it might get <v Speaker 2>a little bit better. But the the other thing too, <v Speaker 2>is uh, I feel like the bones for a good <v Speaker 2>game is there, Like it's it could be a fun game, <v Speaker 2>but I feel like they just missed it. <v Speaker 1>Just you know, I'm yeah, I agree. <v Speaker 2>I feel like, if again, if it was more bright <v Speaker 2>and personal, if it was like more Nintendo charm and colors, <v Speaker 2>if it wasn't so much work to play, you know, <v Speaker 2>if it wasn't so jank, There's something there. No, there's <v Speaker 2>there's something there. And the other thing is too, I <v Speaker 2>don't know how it was free if it was free. Yeah, also, <v Speaker 2>I don't know how anyone's going to be playing this <v Speaker 2>game on their lab. I have no idea. I I <v Speaker 2>I can only see myself ever playing this game at <v Speaker 2>a desk. Yeah, especially because to go fast it wants <v Speaker 2>you to do like big long strokes. <v Speaker 3>Yea, do like a big long stroke. My leg's aren't <v Speaker 3>that long. No, So yeah, I agree with you. <v Speaker 2>But the other that's why I was saying, maybe if <v Speaker 2>they if they make it where it's not as much movement, <v Speaker 2>you know, like if it's a little bit less, you know, <v Speaker 2>and you go further with less, it might be better. <v Speaker 3>You could do less inputs. Also, another thing is like <v Speaker 3>what what could you directly compare this game to? Like, <v Speaker 3>if you look at this game and you're like, what's <v Speaker 3>another game like this that you could compare it to <v Speaker 3>to take the control scheme out of it, there's an <v Speaker 3>obvious answer. <v Speaker 1>Was it NBA? I don't know, kind of Rocket League? <v Speaker 1>Rocket League? Yeah? Kind of. <v Speaker 3>It's very Rocket League. Rocket League is free. <v Speaker 1>It is free. It used to not be free. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I know it was thirty dollars, but it is <v Speaker 3>free right now. I just, yeah, I just don't really <v Speaker 3>know what this is offering. And then there's one more <v Speaker 3>thing There's one more issue I'm having with the mouse <v Speaker 3>controls in these games. I like when there's a game <v Speaker 3>like Age of Vampires or whatever, or Civilization where it's like, what, <v Speaker 3>we've added mouse controls, it works, that's sick. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>The issue I'm having with games like this or games <v Speaker 3>on like the Mario Party thing, where it is like <v Speaker 3>you can only use the mouse for this every single <v Speaker 3>instance of one of those games, you could definitely. <v Speaker 1>Just not use a mouse. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, like you could play What I'm saying is you <v Speaker 3>could play this game with regular controls and it would <v Speaker 3>probably be easier to play it. So by forcing mouse controls, <v Speaker 3>for having this be like mouse only, it's really limiting <v Speaker 3>the game in a way where like you don't need <v Speaker 3>to because like you could just play this without a mouse, <v Speaker 3>But you're also limiting it. <v Speaker 1>In the sense of Switchers. <v Speaker 3>Whole thing is like play anywhere you want, anyhow anytime, <v Speaker 3>pick up and play and it's a handheld but there's <v Speaker 3>no option for any other control scheme, So you're really <v Speaker 3>limiting people to you can really only play it docked <v Speaker 3>or in tablet mode if you have space to do <v Speaker 3>the mouse control. Ye, you can't like take this on <v Speaker 3>a plane, which I guess is fine, but you could <v Speaker 3>if there were other controls, and you couldn't if it <v Speaker 3>wasn't just a lock to the well. I guess what <v Speaker 3>I'm saying is I like that they've made this game <v Speaker 3>all around the mouse controls, but I feel like you <v Speaker 3>could still have normal controls as an option. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I mean also, if it was normal controls, what would <v Speaker 2>be the point. <v Speaker 1>Of this game? <v Speaker 3>There wouldn't be, which I think is like another issue <v Speaker 3>with the game. <v Speaker 1>It's like, it's just it. It exists in a. <v Speaker 3>Weird bubble where it doesn't necessarily feel necessary, which is <v Speaker 3>why charging for it feels a bit odd. It coming <v Speaker 3>out two months after the Switch launch for twenty bucks. <v Speaker 3>It feels like it should have either been at launch <v Speaker 3>and or free. Was it thirty or twenty twenty? It's twenty, <v Speaker 3>it's twenty. It's not too bad. Oh, it's the most <v Speaker 3>they can get away with. Because the other thing is <v Speaker 3>I mean you're looking at the whole game. It's three <v Speaker 3>minute rounds of this over and over and over and <v Speaker 3>over again. <v Speaker 2>Should have been ten should have been free or free? <v Speaker 2>Oh wait, free for premium users Nintendo Online US that Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I mean that's fine too, I think. Yeah, I mean <v Speaker 2>I'm down with like Nintendo playing around with micro transactions too, <v Speaker 2>like make this free and then you can buy skins <v Speaker 2>or you can buy little do dads and chachkes. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but the game has no U that's the thing. <v Speaker 3>It has no charm. Well, maybe they could add charm <v Speaker 3>with that, you know, like a Mario skin or. <v Speaker 2>That would have been Also. I watched a TikTok right <v Speaker 2>before we went live. It was from Kit from Kit <v Speaker 2>and Christa. I can't play it because the audio would <v Speaker 2>be a mess, but he was saying that he found <v Speaker 2>it weird that Nintendo and the marketing for this game <v Speaker 2>and everything anywhere for this game does not mention wheelchairs. <v Speaker 2>Now it doesn't, which is very interesting, Like they went <v Speaker 2>out of their way to not actually mention at all <v Speaker 2>that you're in a wheelchair or that or even like <v Speaker 2>what what it is that you're doing in that sense, <v Speaker 2>Like they don't they don't reference the fact that you're <v Speaker 2>you're sitting in something with where they just call it <v Speaker 2>the sport of the future or something they say, but <v Speaker 2>they don't. It's very His point is it's very clearly <v Speaker 2>wheelchair basketball. Yeah, it's very clearly wheelchair bask while yeah, <v Speaker 2>but intender and this is this doesn't matter, this is <v Speaker 2>just a side interesting thing. <v Speaker 3>They very clearly did not want to mention or call <v Speaker 3>attention to the fact that it is actually wheelchairs. <v Speaker 1>Why, Like, what's the harm I don't know, I. <v Speaker 3>Mean wheelchair basketball, I mean that would be considered a <v Speaker 3>special Olympic right. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, well or yeah, I think so, so entirely educated <v Speaker 2>on it. <v Speaker 1>I'm not entirely educated either, don't. I don't know. <v Speaker 3>If there's like wheelchair basketball where the people in the <v Speaker 3>wheelchairs don't need the wheelchairs outside of the sport, I <v Speaker 3>would imagine that mostly wheelchair basketball is a handicapped sport. <v Speaker 3>And I'm sorry if I'm incorrect for thinking that. So <v Speaker 3>that's why it's a little weird that Nintendo isn't mentioning it, <v Speaker 3>because it is kind of cool that they've done this, <v Speaker 3>and you know, recognition and all of that. But I <v Speaker 3>think that's probably also the reason why they didn't. Maybe <v Speaker 3>they didn't want it to seem like I don't know, <v Speaker 3>maybe they just wanted to avoid it just in case <v Speaker 3>people were weird about it for some reason. <v Speaker 2>Maybe maybe the characters themselves like it might be replicating <v Speaker 2>wheelchair basketball, but the characters themselves aren't actually in a wheelchair. <v Speaker 2>They're just robots or something, and they don't want. <v Speaker 1>To do they have legs? No? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean wait, yeah, I think they do. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>they have legs. They have legs. <v Speaker 3>It is quite literally if they're in a wheelchair. They're <v Speaker 3>in a wheelchair. But for some reason they just it's <v Speaker 3>just an interesting observation. I'm not really sure the reason. <v Speaker 3>Maybe that Yeah, I don't know, I really don't know. <v Speaker 3>You would think they would refer to the to the <v Speaker 3>device they're sitting in as something they don't. They don't <v Speaker 3>what would you call it other than a wheelchair it's <v Speaker 3>a wheelchair because they well, they call it nothing. They don't, <v Speaker 3>they don't even address it, which is just it's just <v Speaker 3>a little weird. I don't know why. I don't know why. <v Speaker 3>I find that weird. It's a little weird. Sport of <v Speaker 3>the Future is what they say. All right, you can <v Speaker 3>cut away. I think we've watched it off of this. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>Logan gave it a six out of ten, and I'm <v Speaker 3>pretty inclined to give it a similar five six out <v Speaker 3>of ten, just based on what I played. <v Speaker 1>Either a flat six or lower. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>After So okay, let's lead this into the switch two <v Speaker 3>month later talk because I want to get your opinion <v Speaker 3>on it. But this is kind of the second time <v Speaker 3>now recently that I've bought something off the E shop <v Speaker 3>that was a switch to game. Actually the third time, <v Speaker 3>but let's just focus on recently where I've spent fifteen <v Speaker 3>twenty bucks for something that's been advertised by Nintendo as <v Speaker 3>a switch to game, and I've instantly kind of felt <v Speaker 3>like I could have done without it. I could have <v Speaker 3>done without it. The other one was Chilling by the Fire. <v Speaker 1>Chilling. Chilling by the Fire was so bad. <v Speaker 3>We spent fifteen dollars. We talked about this last week <v Speaker 3>you went here, though. We spent fifteen dollars on that <v Speaker 3>each we played it that one time on Dream. Literally <v Speaker 3>all it is is grabbing logs and putting it into <v Speaker 3>a fireplace. I have absolutely zero interest in ever playing. <v Speaker 2>You know what Chilling by the Fire is. It's like <v Speaker 2>you're playing like a cozy or like a life sim <v Speaker 2>game or something right, and you know when you go play, <v Speaker 2>like like you have to set up a fire or <v Speaker 2>do something within that game. Yeah, that's what it feels <v Speaker 2>like you're playing a mini game, but that's the entirety <v Speaker 2>of the game. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and I don't you can't return things on Switch. No, <v Speaker 3>and we've played that for what half an hour? <v Speaker 2>I wish if that was on Steam. Yeah, I would <v Speaker 2>have had my money back. <v Speaker 1>You could return it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Now I don't. I don't want to, Like you know, <v Speaker 3>it's not all negative again. That first month on the <v Speaker 3>Switch too was incredible. Yeah, we had some really we <v Speaker 3>have well Mario Kart, Doted, Mugged by the Fire, someone, <v Speaker 3>basically Donkey Kong, phenomenal h Fantasy Life, which is not <v Speaker 3>technically that was two upgrade. Yeah, but great, great game. <v Speaker 2>So we've had we had like a good first month, <v Speaker 2>but this second month has definitely felt a lot more stale. <v Speaker 2>And it doesn't help that we didn't get a full direct. <v Speaker 2>We've got a partner in an indie so we're still <v Speaker 2>kind of left in the lurch about some release dates <v Speaker 2>for things. I think the next thing we know about <v Speaker 2>is Pokemon in October. Yeah, it's October twelve, fifteen something, <v Speaker 2>which is also a Switch one game just has a <v Speaker 2>switch to version correct, Yeah. <v Speaker 1>So it just does. <v Speaker 3>It does feel a little rough right now, and I <v Speaker 3>think part of the reason I've been talking about this <v Speaker 3>a lot is that Nintendo played it way too close <v Speaker 3>to the chest with the dev units for the switch too. <v Speaker 3>They did they did not want to hand out any <v Speaker 3>switch to dev units to anybody other than a very <v Speaker 3>few select partners like Capcom obviously, who have been working <v Speaker 3>on Monster Hunt Stories three, and a couple other people, <v Speaker 3>probably from Soft because they're working on that. <v Speaker 1>Death from Soft would have to have one. <v Speaker 3>But most most places couldn't get one, and most places <v Speaker 3>like developers and publishers complained they couldn't get one because <v Speaker 3>Nintendo didn't want it to leak. <v Speaker 2>The ironic thing is for leaked, elaked. Yeah, everything leaked <v Speaker 2>to it. I knew exactly what they think looked like. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>even before they announced it. <v Speaker 3>A month before it came out, I had a three <v Speaker 3>D print of it in my hands, which shouldn't be <v Speaker 3>a thing. No, So they tried so hard to keep <v Speaker 3>that dev unit safe from people. Meanwhile, it all leaked anyway. <v Speaker 3>So now all the devs are playing catch up, and <v Speaker 3>we're seeing things like in that Indie direct we saw <v Speaker 3>content warning an indie game that we played on Steam <v Speaker 3>six months ago is coming to Switch and releasing twenty <v Speaker 3>twenty six. That's cool, it's cool, But twenty twenty six <v Speaker 3>for a game that at that point would have been <v Speaker 3>out for over a year on Steam already, and it's because, <v Speaker 3>you know, and there's no shot an indie team was <v Speaker 3>getting the Switch to dev kid no no. So you know, <v Speaker 3>on one one hand, when I go back and I <v Speaker 3>think about the Switch one launch, and I think about <v Speaker 3>how it took so long for third party games and <v Speaker 3>developers to start coming in. You know, we had Doom <v Speaker 3>and Skyrim in that first six months from Bethesda, but <v Speaker 3>it took a long time for third party support to <v Speaker 3>start ramping up and explode. So I think about the <v Speaker 3>Switch too, and I was like, all of these companies <v Speaker 3>want to be their day one and we're going to <v Speaker 3>get a ton of support, and it's not going to <v Speaker 3>be like the Switch one where we have to wait <v Speaker 3>a year for it to ramp up. But Nintendo went <v Speaker 3>and didn't give dev units to anybody. <v Speaker 2>So now everybody is starting to develop for the console <v Speaker 2>now they have the console, and we're going to have <v Speaker 2>to go through a ramp up period like we did <v Speaker 2>on Switch one. Yeah, and I feel like that's what <v Speaker 2>we're feeling right now because I mean, if you even <v Speaker 2>go to the e Shop and you scroll down recent releases, <v Speaker 2>for the last two months, there's been like ten games <v Speaker 2>that have released with the Switch two badge. Yeah, there's <v Speaker 2>not a lot. <v Speaker 1>And one was air Hockey. Wait, there was air Hockey. <v Speaker 3>There was a budget looking seven dollar Air Hockey. There <v Speaker 3>was Chillin by the Fire, and then a bunch of <v Speaker 3>like Switch one games that came out that also had <v Speaker 3>a Switch to version. <v Speaker 2>I feel like I feel like the Switch to like also, <v Speaker 2>like you know, content Warning came out right like or <v Speaker 2>it's coming out for the Switch too. Yeah, I feel <v Speaker 2>like those goofy co op games would go so great <v Speaker 2>for Yeah, the Switch it's peak. <v Speaker 3>It's again Nintendo not giving deb units out, I know, <v Speaker 3>but it's like if you had given one even to <v Speaker 3>the content warning people. Content Warning is such a fun <v Speaker 3>game that blow up on Twitch and it could definitely <v Speaker 3>see a second life on Switch too if you took <v Speaker 3>the camera and you made the faces off the characters <v Speaker 3>the camera. So imagine you're out there and you're doing <v Speaker 3>content Warning, which is like filming with a little vlog camera, <v Speaker 3>your friends getting scared and spooked and you're doing like <v Speaker 3>the selfie and everything, but it's your actual face. <v Speaker 2>I feel like that would be the definitive way of <v Speaker 2>playing that absolutely. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, And if we had that on launch so we <v Speaker 3>could dive into it and launch window, it would just <v Speaker 3>be something that streamers would pick up, that friends could <v Speaker 3>pick up. But instead we've got to wait till twenty <v Speaker 3>twenty six. So yeah, I just I do feel like <v Speaker 3>I don't know if Nintendo really planned out the first <v Speaker 3>at least few months very well, because I feel like. <v Speaker 2>They were at least banking on the I guess the <v Speaker 2>success of the last console to really carry them a <v Speaker 2>little bit more. <v Speaker 1>I mean, obviously everyone picked it up. <v Speaker 3>I mean we were like, like what five six million <v Speaker 3>units sold based on Mario Kart. But I would be <v Speaker 3>interested even to ask chat like, do you feel like <v Speaker 3>the hype and like the experiences have already kind of <v Speaker 3>slowed down and you're not really sure right now what you're. <v Speaker 1>Looking forward to? Yeah? <v Speaker 3>Because what are we looking forward to right now? Like, <v Speaker 3>I mean, Zelda looks like it's coming next year now, <v Speaker 3>the Age of Imprisonment again, Pokemon is coming, but it's <v Speaker 3>also on Switch one. Same thing with Metroid Metro but <v Speaker 3>I don't have a release date for No, and also <v Speaker 3>it's on Switch It on Switch one. Yeah I got, <v Speaker 3>I got Metroid. Oh well, no, I got to switch <v Speaker 3>to particularly because of the one twenty fps or Metroid. <v Speaker 2>I mean, there'll definitely be some really cool enhanced experiences <v Speaker 2>like Metroid and Pokemon. That's why I was so sure <v Speaker 2>that we'd get a direct in July, because. <v Speaker 1>I couldn't imagine a realm where we. <v Speaker 3>Would sit here mid August without one not really knowing <v Speaker 3>what's happening. It just it felt to me like that <v Speaker 3>wouldn't be the case. I want new games, but I <v Speaker 3>have a huge backlog from games that already released on <v Speaker 3>switch to That is yeah sure. Also Arms sorry, uh, <v Speaker 3>Drag x Drive kind of feels like when Arms came out. <v Speaker 1>And did Arms get support after? <v Speaker 3>Like not really because it was kind of a flop, <v Speaker 3>but it kind of feels like that where it's like <v Speaker 3>that weird sort of sports game that uses the motion <v Speaker 3>controls and it kind of came out and it was <v Speaker 3>hyped up and then it was kind of just like ah, <v Speaker 3>like really, this switch To launch is just weirdly similar <v Speaker 3>to Switch one in every In every way, both it's <v Speaker 3>excitement and it's pitfalls. <v Speaker 2>I feel like one of the things they could have <v Speaker 2>done to alleviate that, especially if they were giving out deficits, <v Speaker 2>really is upgrade a lot more of their original library. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, like Zenal Blade and not charge crazy, not charge. <v Speaker 2>He could have been free or or not charge everything <v Speaker 2>for it, because like I have you play three great game, <v Speaker 2>but it looks, you know, I can do. <v Speaker 1>What a bit of a performance? But I was, I was, <v Speaker 1>I was. <v Speaker 3>I was remember my midnight launch when I was talking <v Speaker 3>to this guy, his name's Caleb. He was in the <v Speaker 3>in the It was a really nice guy. I actually <v Speaker 3>was talking to him recently and he was like he <v Speaker 3>felt kind of disappointed that at launch bare minimum all <v Speaker 3>of the first party Nintendo games weren't enhanced in some way. No, like, <v Speaker 3>how do you not go through at least your first <v Speaker 3>party library and make sure everything is like four K <v Speaker 3>sixty But like Pokemon Archaeas and stuff that, I think <v Speaker 3>that didn't get a patch until like a month or <v Speaker 3>two in Wait did it get a patch? <v Speaker 1>Did it not get a patch? I don't know. <v Speaker 2>I mean I played Archaeas not too long ago, just <v Speaker 2>to check, and it was not sixty fps. <v Speaker 1>Get a switch to update. <v Speaker 3>No, there isn't an official switch to update for Pokemon <v Speaker 3>Legends Archias. So that is another thing too, Like we <v Speaker 3>now we're two months in and even a lot of <v Speaker 3>the first party like Pokemon of all things that sold <v Speaker 3>like what twenty million copies. Yeah, they haven't gone in <v Speaker 3>and done an update for switch to No. <v Speaker 2>And you know, you know it's funny too. It's not <v Speaker 2>like Archaeus is like Tears of the Kingdom or Breath <v Speaker 2>of the Wild where you need to be careful about <v Speaker 2>upping the fps because of the physics engine. Like if <v Speaker 2>when you emulate Archaeas, you can just bump it too <v Speaker 2>sixty fps and you're good to go. <v Speaker 1>So it's not a hard thing to do. <v Speaker 3>That is insane. That is honestly insane. <v Speaker 1>And like, what else. <v Speaker 3>Are they doing right now that I don't know Machias <v Speaker 3>doesn't have an update. <v Speaker 2>Or or or what was the new Zenal Blade game <v Speaker 2>that came out? Oh, that's a good point. I think <v Speaker 2>lad uh X did get one. <v Speaker 1>Did it? <v Speaker 2>I think sir chat will let us know. I don't <v Speaker 2>think it did. I think I don't think any of <v Speaker 2>the Zeno Blade games did. <v Speaker 1>Let me look up, does Zeno Blade Xeno Blade X. <v Speaker 3>Get a switch to update, chat will probably beat me <v Speaker 3>to it. No official switch to upgrade for the other <v Speaker 3>carco X has been announced, but the game does benefit <v Speaker 3>from switch to is improved hardware. <v Speaker 2>I mean, but but where's the It's a recent release, <v Speaker 2>it's not that long that came out just before switch <v Speaker 2>to it. <v Speaker 1>Just That's what I'm saying. Wait, what about like three three? <v Speaker 1>Got one? Right? <v Speaker 2>No, I promise you because I check regularly. This is <v Speaker 2>this is Google's AI. <v Speaker 1>It's lying. <v Speaker 3>It says, yes, you know the Chronicles three diversy of <v Speaker 3>a switch to update, though it was primarily focused on <v Speaker 3>compatibility stability rather than significant visual performance. <v Speaker 1>Okay, okay, so it got. <v Speaker 3>A stability update like a hair in my mouth, but <v Speaker 3>it didn't get a visual or performance update. It was <v Speaker 3>for stability, so no major graphical or performance enhancements for <v Speaker 3>the reason xenaake Chronicles three. <v Speaker 1>This is kind of what. <v Speaker 3>I'm trying to say, Like, there are things that have <v Speaker 3>been really great about this launch, and I'm not taking <v Speaker 3>away from them. There's some good and believe me, I <v Speaker 3>don't benefit from trying to pooh pooh it. <v Speaker 1>I need people to be excited. With me. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and I am excited about the switch too. You know, <v Speaker 3>Mario Kart was sick, Donkey Kong was sick. Some of <v Speaker 3>those enhancements have been really enjoying. No Men's Sky. I've <v Speaker 3>been bouncing back into every now and then, just having <v Speaker 3>the better performance and resolution, even in like the indie <v Speaker 3>games that I play. It's just nice to have a <v Speaker 3>cleaner You know that Kim's playing Hello Kiddy now on <v Speaker 3>switch to and it looks night and day different, just <v Speaker 3>based on the Switch to giving it a bit of <v Speaker 3>a bump. So there's definitely some improvements here. But again, <v Speaker 3>I feel like we're in this weird limbo where we <v Speaker 3>haven't had a direct We don't have a lot of <v Speaker 3>launch date launch release dates for a lot of things. <v Speaker 3>The things we know are coming, I mean, there's very <v Speaker 3>few with an actual release date. And it switched one <v Speaker 3>switch to cross release and in the meantime while we're waiting, <v Speaker 3>you would think it would be great to dive into <v Speaker 3>some of the other Switch one exclusive first party games <v Speaker 3>on the switch to on in upgrades, but. <v Speaker 1>They don't have them. <v Speaker 3>No, some of the most important recent release core ones <v Speaker 3>that people would want to dive back into aren't seeing <v Speaker 3>an improvement on. <v Speaker 2>Switch we can use them because like you know, yeah, <v Speaker 2>like I said, I like Xeno Blade, it's a great game, <v Speaker 2>but it's choppy as hell. <v Speaker 1>Yeah it's shoppy. I agree. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's just a bit. It's a bit weird. <v Speaker 2>Like I don't know what else to say, Like I <v Speaker 2>don't want to go in too hard, but it's a <v Speaker 2>bit weird. And it does feel like Nintendo were dropping <v Speaker 2>the ball in certain aspects with this upgrade in this release, <v Speaker 2>and this is definitely one of them. If you're not <v Speaker 2>going to have much at launch other than like two <v Speaker 2>obviously great core titles, and you haven't given dev units <v Speaker 2>out to developers, so a lot of newer experiences are <v Speaker 2>six months to a year away, even from indie devs. <v Speaker 2>At the very least, fix your own library on the console, <v Speaker 2>enhance your own library on the console. <v Speaker 1>That seems like a bare minimum. <v Speaker 3>So yeah, I will admit I've kind of been feeling <v Speaker 3>that bone where it's like I look at my switch <v Speaker 3>to and I'm like, what do I play right now? <v Speaker 1>That's like new I'll tell you this. <v Speaker 2>I mean like I'm going back to play some old, <v Speaker 2>old but Switch one games, right, Like I was playing <v Speaker 2>through Metroid. Yeah, I'm not playing that on my switch <v Speaker 2>to playing it on my old there's no point at <v Speaker 2>the moment because it has long a battery life. <v Speaker 1>Anyway, you're playing what are you playing on your Metroid Prime? <v Speaker 1>A little bit of Prime but mostly Dread. <v Speaker 3>You're you're playing Dread on the first one and it <v Speaker 3>doesn't have a switch to update. No, that's insane, Promise <v Speaker 3>you it doesn't. That's like the only that's like the <v Speaker 3>only Metroid. It's great, it's like the only Metroid on <v Speaker 3>the other than the remake or the remaster. Yeah no, <v Speaker 3>well yeah, the remake is also not upgraded. So the <v Speaker 3>remake I can see, like, all right, fine, oh the remaster. <v Speaker 3>But Dred No, that doesn't get a four K sixty. <v Speaker 3>That's a perfect game. It's the SPS but it's seven. <v Speaker 2>To twenty P handheld ten adpe doct in switch to <v Speaker 2>I believe, so I could be wrong, but it looks <v Speaker 2>it doesn't look like it is. But also like I <v Speaker 2>don't know, I mean, I kind of it's Dread, you know, <v Speaker 2>I can play it seven to twenty P, but still <v Speaker 2>I don't think so I'm gonna I'm gonna look it <v Speaker 2>up just to make. <v Speaker 1>Sure you look it up to the dot. <v Speaker 3>My someone said, uh, they've been playing a lot of <v Speaker 3>Splatoon three that has to be enhanced. Splatoon three that's <v Speaker 3>got to be four K sixty right, Let's not forget <v Speaker 3>the switch one came out to pretty poor reviews. Look <v Speaker 3>I it. It will get better, Obviously, it'll get better. <v Speaker 3>I'm just talking about like the two month experience, because <v Speaker 3>that's all that we can really talk about. <v Speaker 1>Right. <v Speaker 2>It does not Dread does not have an official switch <v Speaker 2>to patch. Can you look up Splatoon three? Yeah, I <v Speaker 2>think it does. Actually I heard it that should have <v Speaker 2>an ouse mode. <v Speaker 3>By the way, it did get an update. Okay, well okay, <v Speaker 3>it looks like Splatoon three did get one. Okay, thank <v Speaker 3>you Chocolate Kieran and everybody else in chat. Yes, any <v Speaker 3>leaks would yes, Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift track nine. <v Speaker 2>You have to go and look at track nine anyway. <v Speaker 2>So that's yeah, that's kind I know where we're at <v Speaker 2>right now. <v Speaker 1>We switched to. <v Speaker 3>I feel like this last month other than like you know, <v Speaker 3>playing Donkey Kong through the month Hunger great, what I've <v Speaker 3>been actually playing? <v Speaker 1>I got my switch right here. <v Speaker 3>I've been diving in the indies recently, which like are great, <v Speaker 3>and I've been streaming them and people have been popping <v Speaker 3>in and being like, couldn't you have done this on <v Speaker 3>Switch one? <v Speaker 1>Well? Yeah, yeah, but you know what else am I <v Speaker 1>going to do? <v Speaker 3>So I've been playing this game called you Can't Really <v Speaker 3>See It Discounty. I started that last night, I think, <v Speaker 3>reviewing bother also playing the Ninja Guiding game as well. <v Speaker 3>I played that on stream. I played UFO fifty. I <v Speaker 3>played pip Ostrello and the Cursed Yo Yo. That was <v Speaker 3>pretty fun. Ninja Guid and also Ninja Guiden Rage Bound <v Speaker 3>is sick. It looks so sick. So I've been diving <v Speaker 3>into indies. Oh is that seat taken? Or is this <v Speaker 3>seat taken? And Tiny Bookshop We're both sick. I played <v Speaker 3>the demo for Elliott. Oh that looks so good. <v Speaker 1>That was awesome. <v Speaker 2>I think is that only switched to? I think, so, Elliott, <v Speaker 2>you look that up. The demo might be only on <v Speaker 2>the switch too, but let me check the new Square <v Speaker 2>Enix Elliot. So I've been kind of really burnt out <v Speaker 2>on the HD two d of it all. I don't <v Speaker 2>think I really I didn't play Octopath Traveler two, I <v Speaker 2>tried Triangle Strategy and it was a lot of reading, <v Speaker 2>so I kind of felt like I was falling behind <v Speaker 2>in the games in that genre from Square, so I <v Speaker 2>kind of pushed him out of my mind and I <v Speaker 2>was like, well, I guess I'm done with those because <v Speaker 2>I just felt like I had missed too many of them. <v Speaker 2>But my chat while I was live wanted me to <v Speaker 2>try the demo for Elliot. <v Speaker 1>It is sick. <v Speaker 2>It is available everywhere switch one as well. No, I <v Speaker 2>don't know about switch one, but it was that's what <v Speaker 2>That's what I asked, Oh doo. So Elliott is like, uh, actually, <v Speaker 2>let me pull it up. <v Speaker 1>No, it's not on the switch one. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I didn't think so, because it has graphic options between <v Speaker 3>performance and qual and the quality was like giving me <v Speaker 3>a headache. The frame rates were so bad or bad, <v Speaker 3>so it might honestly be pushing the system too far. <v Speaker 1>Elliott demark, let's fly down here. That keeps buzzing on <v Speaker 1>my head. <v Speaker 2>I got one earlier. A fly flicked it just grabbed <v Speaker 2>it out of the air. No, it was on the mic, <v Speaker 2>like Jackie chan No, No, no, it was on the microphone. <v Speaker 3>They can't see you doing that. Oh h you can <v Speaker 3>show the screen got you? <v Speaker 1>So this is Elliott so I thought. <v Speaker 3>When I was looking at this, I was like, oh, <v Speaker 3>so it's like Secret of Mona or whatever. That's like <v Speaker 3>a new version of Secret of Mona. It's actually essentially <v Speaker 3>linked to the past. It looks it's it looks Zelda coded. <v Speaker 3>It is so Zelda coded, even down to dungeons. That <v Speaker 3>resulted in me finding the weapon that he's using right now. <v Speaker 3>I found that by beating a dungeon that's so awesome <v Speaker 3>and like it was like full on like dungeon with <v Speaker 3>rooms that locked and opened when you beat enemies and <v Speaker 3>a boss fight at the end. <v Speaker 1>I think it was actually that does in there? Is <v Speaker 1>there levels? <v Speaker 3>Like does your character a little up um shoot? I <v Speaker 3>can't remember. I don't think so, because then I. <v Speaker 1>Would say it would be like Zelder and Secret Banos. <v Speaker 3>So when you kill things, you get stuff from them <v Speaker 3>that you can use to make magic stones that upgrades <v Speaker 3>you and it gives you all different kind of effects. <v Speaker 3>And then your little fairy here can be controlled by <v Speaker 3>someone else in two play it or your stick will <v Speaker 3>control it, and the fairy has different abilities like you <v Speaker 3>can you can put it somewhere and then teleport to it. <v Speaker 3>Oh so if you want to like jump a gap <v Speaker 3>or like or get behind an enemy, you can move <v Speaker 3>the fairy behind them and then jump to it. But yeah, no, <v Speaker 3>it just feels very Zelda to play, and I was <v Speaker 3>really really enjoying it, and I'm actually really looking forward <v Speaker 3>to the game. You know what sucks though, twenty six release. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's so far, damn it. <v Speaker 2>I wonder if this would have well, I wonder if <v Speaker 2>it would have came out earlier if they got a <v Speaker 2>dev unit, But they probably had one. <v Speaker 1>It's Square, you mixed, they had Well, this is one. <v Speaker 3>This you said it's coming out everywhere, right, Yeah, it's <v Speaker 3>gonna so yeah, yeah, I don't think it was Switch related, <v Speaker 3>but you're also yeah, I think they would have got <v Speaker 3>a dev unit. Yeah, Square definitely would have. They were <v Speaker 3>the first people to put an exclusive on the Switch <v Speaker 3>one with Octopath. Okay, that was the first Switch exclusive <v Speaker 3>from a third party that the console had. <v Speaker 1>Smart move. <v Speaker 3>Nintendo definitely have a good relationship with them at this point. <v Speaker 1>They used to not with Square. Yeah, yeah, I guess <v Speaker 1>they used to hate Nintendo was pissed that Square. <v Speaker 3>Times have changed. Man, also Nintendo. I'm going to keep <v Speaker 3>the gameplay going because this game is awesome. Nintendo are <v Speaker 3>kind of in a league of their own right now. <v Speaker 3>I mean we've been talking about it for a while. <v Speaker 1>You know. <v Speaker 3>Despite how I feel right now about kind of some <v Speaker 3>mistakes made in the Switch to Launch, they're on a <v Speaker 3>league of their own when it comes to developing hardware <v Speaker 3>and software. I think because they're releasing games like crazy, <v Speaker 3>and you look at Xbox, which has moved away from software, <v Speaker 3>you can cut away from this. You look at Xbox, <v Speaker 3>which is moved away from software, and they're like a <v Speaker 3>hardware company now, and any game, any game they do release, <v Speaker 3>they're releasing a cross platform true. And as you're probably <v Speaker 3>about to say, yeah, PlayStation just kind of announced that <v Speaker 3>they're doing a similar. <v Speaker 1>Thing, that they're moving away. <v Speaker 3>They're looking at doing multi platform releases for their games <v Speaker 3>and moving away from hardware. <v Speaker 1>Now. <v Speaker 3>I'm not sure what they mean by that. It's because <v Speaker 3>I think they've walked it back a little bit because <v Speaker 3>they are coming out with like they you know, they'll <v Speaker 3>make a PlayStation six and they're working on some handheld thing. <v Speaker 2>There's rumors going around about a PSB two. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, so I don't think that they're fully moving away <v Speaker 3>from hardware and fully moving away from the idea of exclusives. <v Speaker 3>But even if we take their recent like last couple <v Speaker 3>of years, everything's gone to PC and they release a <v Speaker 3>new game every what like six months. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's very rare, you get it, doesn't They don't. <v Speaker 3>Happen that often, and when you do get one, it's <v Speaker 3>most likely a third person over the shelter action game. <v Speaker 2>Also, I don't know it was it me, but I <v Speaker 2>felt like PlayStation there wasn't a lot of like even <v Speaker 2>even counting the PC games that they they you know, PlayStation, <v Speaker 2>the games that they put on PC as well, I <v Speaker 2>felt like. <v Speaker 3>There wasn't a lot of exclusives for PlayStation. For the <v Speaker 3>PS five, That's what I'm saying. They release them every <v Speaker 3>like six months. Yeah, it was like the PS four <v Speaker 3>was awesome, a lot of great better, yeah. <v Speaker 1>For sure. <v Speaker 3>And then you have Nintendo who's releasing a new game <v Speaker 3>every month, and we know about a ton that are coming, <v Speaker 3>we just don't know when. And they're just primarily a <v Speaker 3>company that's focused on making cool experiences and fun games <v Speaker 3>for their platform. So, you know, I actually shout out <v Speaker 3>to Nerd Nest podcast. Oh yeah, yeah, I went on <v Speaker 3>the Nerd Nest podcast last week. If you want to <v Speaker 3>go check that out. I'll try and leave a link <v Speaker 3>down below. It's not down there right now, but I'll <v Speaker 3>try and add it. Just just google nerd Nest and <v Speaker 3>I talked with them with a couple hours, very smart people. <v Speaker 3>I had no idea what they were talking about for <v Speaker 3>most of it. I was completely flom mixed. But a <v Speaker 3>big conversation around that episode was the whole PlayStation thing, <v Speaker 3>and I kind of asked them more like I proposed. <v Speaker 3>I was like, I guess maybe like when you think <v Speaker 3>about a console selling exclusive games to sell the console, <v Speaker 3>which obviously works for like Nintendo because they sold like <v Speaker 3>one hundred and forty million switches or whatever, So you <v Speaker 3>would think, okay, so make exclusive games and you'll sell <v Speaker 3>big console numbers, which is what people seem to care about, <v Speaker 3>like optically, like consumers. They're like, well, the switch to <v Speaker 3>was a success because or the switch one was success <v Speaker 3>because it sold one hundred and forty million whatever. But <v Speaker 3>I guess the only way you can really look at <v Speaker 3>it now from a company standpoint, with Xbox and PlayStation <v Speaker 3>wanting to go multiplatform is that they really don't care <v Speaker 3>about how many consoles they sell. <v Speaker 1>It's all about software. <v Speaker 3>It's about software because when you think about it, you <v Speaker 3>sell a console one time, and for Xbox and PlayStation <v Speaker 3>it's usually at a loss. Yeah, it's always at all. <v Speaker 3>So they don't make money off of the console, right. <v Speaker 3>You just hope that people buy your games once they <v Speaker 3>buy the console. But you can sell a game as <v Speaker 3>many times as people will buy it, as many places <v Speaker 3>as they can buy it. So you make a game <v Speaker 3>and you put it on four different platforms, and that <v Speaker 3>game sells on all the platforms, it's one hundred percent <v Speaker 3>profit each time. Because it's a game. It's digital, right <v Speaker 3>or physical, but there's no overhead there. It's not a loss. <v Speaker 3>So for PlayStation and Xbox, they're most likely looking at <v Speaker 3>it like, we would rather sell our games in as <v Speaker 3>many places as possible and make all the profit off <v Speaker 3>of the software, then make exclusives and try and push <v Speaker 3>hardware that we're gonna lose money on. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, they at this point I think they just they <v Speaker 2>just want to be publishers. <v Speaker 1>They don't, I think. So that's it. <v Speaker 3>So the PlayStation six will probably sell poorly compared to <v Speaker 3>PlayStation five. <v Speaker 2>I have a PlayStation six is going to be the <v Speaker 2>last PlayStation we've ever seen. Maybe I don't think they'll <v Speaker 2>and you might get see like portable ones, but maybe. <v Speaker 3>But I think it will sell poorly because also they're <v Speaker 3>not they're not going to care about that, and they're <v Speaker 3>going to be selling games everywhere, so they're probably gonna <v Speaker 3>make more money. But it's gonna look like they're doing <v Speaker 3>bad PlayStation six wise because it's not gonna sell as much. <v Speaker 1>I have a theory too. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if this will be accurate, but my <v Speaker 2>theory too is that as we go along, like maybe <v Speaker 2>in the next couple of years, like when you know <v Speaker 2>things like past the PSIX or whatever they decide or Xbox, <v Speaker 2>I think we're gonna start seeing more like steam Boxes, <v Speaker 2>like an actual just console box that's like a Windows <v Speaker 2>machine or whatever it is. <v Speaker 3>They were also talking about that on the nerd Ness podcast. <v Speaker 3>They said, would you prefer a console like a steam <v Speaker 3>Box or just anything? Let's say the PlayStation six comes out, <v Speaker 3>and rather than needing to upgrade it in five or <v Speaker 3>six years, they release parts for it that upgrades the console, <v Speaker 3>so like a better GPU or a better this or <v Speaker 3>that that you can. <v Speaker 1>Slight anc essentially. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but I feel like so I me personally, yes, <v Speaker 2>I would prefer that, but I don't think the average <v Speaker 2>consumer would. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't know. I think it gets messy. <v Speaker 3>I brought this up on the podcast too, on their one, <v Speaker 3>and they they shut me down on it, and I <v Speaker 3>don't really remember what they said about it, but well, <v Speaker 3>I think they tried to say it wouldn't be an issue, <v Speaker 3>but I feel like it will be. Let's say PlayStation <v Speaker 3>six comes out and we're five years in and they've <v Speaker 3>upgraded it three times. So now the people who have <v Speaker 3>spent the most money have gone out and they've brought <v Speaker 3>the newest GPU. Right, how does a game developer then <v Speaker 3>make a game for the PlayStation six? They would bearing <v Speaker 3>in mind that some people will have this new heart, <v Speaker 3>this new GPU, and some people will have. <v Speaker 1>A bad one. <v Speaker 3>Because then you get into the position that the Series <v Speaker 3>S was, where there are certain games and experiences when <v Speaker 3>when developers developed games for the Xbox Series X they <v Speaker 3>had to take into account Series S because it had <v Speaker 3>to play on both which limited the scope of what <v Speaker 3>they could do and what they could develop. And then <v Speaker 3>you saw games like boulders Gate three, which couldn't do <v Speaker 3>split screen on the S because it was so I <v Speaker 3>feel like if we do move into a future where <v Speaker 3>it's like upgradeable hardware, you would always be held back <v Speaker 3>by the people that haven't upgraded, which is probably going <v Speaker 3>to be most people. <v Speaker 2>I think the only way developers would actually developed like <v Speaker 2>in that in that scenario it would have it would <v Speaker 2>have to be essentially developing for like a PC, and <v Speaker 2>at that point it's adding more stream because you're not. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, at that point, if that's what you want, you <v Speaker 3>kind of just need a PC. <v Speaker 2>Because feel like I was gonna like because then you're <v Speaker 2>developing not only just like let's say you are multiplatform, <v Speaker 2>you do release for PC, and then let's say the <v Speaker 2>PS six is upgradeable as you go along. I mean you're, oh, <v Speaker 2>you're you're developing for two different architectures and one that's <v Speaker 2>for both that is continuously changing. That is a nightmare <v Speaker 2>for developers. I feel like I could be wrong. I'm <v Speaker 2>not a developer, but that's what I agree. <v Speaker 3>But also all of this conversation is convoluted and as <v Speaker 3>weird as this is, this is why I just like <v Speaker 3>Nintendo and Nintendo's business business model because you buy that console. <v Speaker 3>It is what it is, it works how it works, <v Speaker 3>and then they release games for it that you can <v Speaker 3>only get on that console, and you buy the game <v Speaker 3>for that console, and you don't have to worry about <v Speaker 3>like graphic settings or like doing all this and that. <v Speaker 3>You just buy it for the console and you play <v Speaker 3>it and you have a good time, and that's what <v Speaker 3>it is. <v Speaker 2>Also, I would like to go out on a limb <v Speaker 2>and say not every time you upgrade a graphics card, <v Speaker 2>does that actually mean better performance? Like you'll get some <v Speaker 2>performance boost, but there's so much more going into actually <v Speaker 2>upgrading something, yeah, like like the CPU and everything else. <v Speaker 2>Like I don't know, I don't think you can count <v Speaker 2>on the average consumer doing that. That's my take on it. <v Speaker 2>It's just too much. It's just too much fuff. I mean, <v Speaker 2>I know people who refuse to play PC games because, yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's convoluted for them. <v Speaker 1>I hate playing on PCs. <v Speaker 2>They just want to They just want to plug and <v Speaker 2>play and have a I like my PC. I prefer <v Speaker 2>by that way, but not everybody does. And I you know, <v Speaker 2>I get it. <v Speaker 1>I get it too. <v Speaker 3>Okay, I got a super chat here I want to <v Speaker 3>read what I ordered your grip and carry case. I'm <v Speaker 3>excited to have an exclusive accessory for this generation and <v Speaker 3>excited to find a way to support you Knit Trium power. Well, <v Speaker 3>thank you so much. Also, I forgot to mention these <v Speaker 3>finally came in. Uh, if you're listening to the audio, <v Speaker 3>it's the boxes for the as well, say it's the <v Speaker 3>whole thing. <v Speaker 1>These are the actual. <v Speaker 3>Officials because the grip I've been using was a prototype, <v Speaker 3>but these are the actual boxes for them, and they. <v Speaker 1>Look really really cool. <v Speaker 3>They're like a gloss on the actual thing, and then <v Speaker 3>Matt on the box, and then my YouTube banner is <v Speaker 3>underneath like that. Oh hell yeah, it's sick. So yeah, <v Speaker 3>they're they're getting there this month any day. Well, I <v Speaker 3>think it's later this month. I think it's like the <v Speaker 3>twenty something people that ordered it in the first batch. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think it's coming this month. I apologize it took <v Speaker 3>so long. I mean, I had nothing to do with it, <v Speaker 3>but I apologize it took so long. Unboxing, I've been <v Speaker 3>waiting to Actually they only just came in. I've been <v Speaker 3>waiting to open them on camera and I don't I <v Speaker 3>don't have like an overhe head or anything. <v Speaker 1>So I am. <v Speaker 3>I'm still gonna wait unfortune. Also, it's a podcast and <v Speaker 3>people that's not audio listeners. I'm gonna want to hear <v Speaker 3>me unbox something as more on boxing. Someone in chat <v Speaker 3>keeps spamming. I bet your entire Switch collection. You don't <v Speaker 3>have your Kai watch for? What do I get out <v Speaker 3>of it? Before I take this bet? What do I <v Speaker 3>get from you if I do have it? That's if <v Speaker 3>you want to do a bet, you bet something. <v Speaker 1>I know what I would do. What if you have it? <v Speaker 1>Their band? Their band? Good lord, I don't know about that. <v Speaker 1>Do you want to mess around? You want to mess <v Speaker 1>around and find out? Um? All right, moving on to <v Speaker 1>some news. <v Speaker 3>Chibi Robo you can show this chiaby Robo joins Switch <v Speaker 3>online game Cubulate library. It's just funny because in my <v Speaker 3>my video a couple videos ago, the video that shall <v Speaker 3>not be nicknamed, I made a joke about chiv robo <v Speaker 3>and how. <v Speaker 1>I can't help but every time I see chiv Robo, <v Speaker 1>I think of Scott. I can't help it. <v Speaker 3>Now, but I made a joke. I was like, this <v Speaker 3>is the only time I'm gonna mention it today because <v Speaker 3>it's kind of funny. <v Speaker 1>It's ironic. <v Speaker 3>I was like, if I hadn't the said animal crossing <v Speaker 3>and I had a said chiv Robo, it probably wouldn't <v Speaker 3>have gone as viral because you can't go. <v Speaker 1>Viral with chiv Robo. <v Speaker 3>Literally a week later, is chiv Robo making the rounds? <v Speaker 1>Dude, that's so funny. <v Speaker 3>Nintendo is just trolling me at this point. Might I <v Speaker 3>think this is one of the more expensive GameCube games <v Speaker 3>that if you were looking to buy it, I think <v Speaker 3>it was up there in price. But here it is <v Speaker 3>for the Switch Online and it's coming out sometime in <v Speaker 3>August twenty first. <v Speaker 2>I'm curious, like it when Nintendo releases something for like <v Speaker 2>emulation for GameCube, right, I wonder if it makes the <v Speaker 2>original drop in price. Oh, probably because it makes it <v Speaker 2>way more accessible. <v Speaker 3>I've been getting so many scam calls recently, really, oh well, <v Speaker 3>just constant scam calls. <v Speaker 2>Well there's been a major data data breach. Well great, cool, <v Speaker 2>thank you for that, No problem. Let me hit play <v Speaker 2>on this and see if it actually plays. Yeah, we <v Speaker 2>gotta we got a minute and a half of Chibi <v Speaker 2>Robo here. <v Speaker 3>Uh cool. I've actually never played it, so I guess <v Speaker 3>I will maybe I have no idea what this game <v Speaker 3>is or what it's about. <v Speaker 1>It's it's like a platforming puzzle game. Cool. <v Speaker 2>Well August twenty first people, Oh soon, cut away? I <v Speaker 2>really need I really need a button. Yeah, I need <v Speaker 2>to get you. Well, we got to get this to work. <v Speaker 3>I don't I don't know how that works. All right, <v Speaker 3>let's see what they're let's see what they're offering me. <v Speaker 3>Goom malicious. I'll buy your grip, all. <v Speaker 2>Right, all right, chap, he's looking for yo kaiwa all right, <v Speaker 2>and if I know any better, he has it. <v Speaker 1>Okay. <v Speaker 2>I've never played Chibi. I played a little bit of <v Speaker 2>cheapy brobo. But like I said, I think of Scott <v Speaker 2>when I when I hear that or or gex. Oh, <v Speaker 2>I'll be waiting he's got it. <v Speaker 1>I'll be waiting. You could. I made a video of <v Speaker 1>my entire collection. If you wanted to see, you're. <v Speaker 3>Gonna have to shut that off. I played it for <v Speaker 3>a while. That's gonna be the whole minute clip. <v Speaker 1>Don't show. Oh god, hold on, I just disabled it. Cool, <v Speaker 1>I just disabled it. What a mess? P Land? <v Speaker 3>You want to look at some paland pal Land. I've <v Speaker 3>I've muted everything about this laptop. I don't know why <v Speaker 3>it's still. <v Speaker 2>Even if you write click the sword like the tab <v Speaker 2>and just mute it. Sorry, guys, I'm having a hard <v Speaker 2>time today with this laptop. Everything I'm trying to do <v Speaker 2>is just just so many ads. I don't know why <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna lit up Donkey's video because and I got <v Speaker 2>another add Lord. <v Speaker 1>Have you had a pal Land? Oh from you? <v Speaker 2>So? <v Speaker 1>Uh you know how Nintendo? <v Speaker 3>You can show my screen are currently in a heated <v Speaker 3>battle with pow World over suing them for being essentially <v Speaker 3>a Pokemon clone. Yes, well apparently this company I don't <v Speaker 3>know who it is. This is definitely some kind of <v Speaker 3>weird AI slop thing decided now would be a great <v Speaker 3>time to release pal Land, a ripoff of pale World, <v Speaker 3>which is a ripoff of Pokemon. So where three lay <v Speaker 3>is deep. This is Donkey's video playing it, and uh yeah, <v Speaker 3>obviously it's awful. I don't understand how, like how this <v Speaker 3>even gets on the E shop, Like Nintendo clearly have <v Speaker 3>no control. <v Speaker 1>Over the E shop anymore. <v Speaker 2>I've seen some terrible games too on the E Shop <v Speaker 2>as long as well as obviously Steam, but there's been <v Speaker 2>like even like AI games like, it's not even that <v Speaker 2>it's terrible, it's that they are actively sewing a company <v Speaker 2>for copying them essentially, is what they're claiming, And yet <v Speaker 2>they're letting on the shop a blatant copy of that copy. <v Speaker 2>So the only thing I can assume here is that <v Speaker 2>Nintendo really don't quality. I mean, it's obvious, I guess, <v Speaker 2>because of the amount of Slop and Luigi content and <v Speaker 2>shovel where and Ai games that get uploaded every single <v Speaker 2>day to the e Shop, But they clearly do not <v Speaker 2>check what goes up there anymore. You pay a fee. <v Speaker 2>I think I've heard it's something like eight hundred dollars <v Speaker 2>to put your game on the e Shop, and then <v Speaker 2>eventually it goes on the E Shop. I don't think <v Speaker 2>there's any kind of Nintendo checking because there's been so <v Speaker 2>many occasions now of games getting uploaded to the shop <v Speaker 2>and Nintendo having to retroactively pull them down, like that <v Speaker 2>one that was like an Ocarina clone and even used <v Speaker 2>a Karina music in it, Oh my god, and Nintendo <v Speaker 2>found out after it was uploaded and had to pull <v Speaker 2>it down. <v Speaker 1>Wait, I got so someone has to pay. I guess <v Speaker 1>it's like the same for Steam. Too. <v Speaker 3>It's the same for Steam, but Steam's way cheaper. It's <v Speaker 3>like a couple hundred bucks, soit eight hundred bucks. And <v Speaker 3>what's how much does Nintendo get out of the sale <v Speaker 3>after the sale? I don't know, like that they take <v Speaker 3>a percentage like thirty percent or something. Damn yeah, I <v Speaker 3>mean Steam does the same. I think to I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I think to, I guess eight hundreds a lot. I <v Speaker 3>don't know where my phone is. I wanted to google <v Speaker 3>where my phone? Did I not have it earlier? Was <v Speaker 3>I not googling something on it? I was trying to <v Speaker 3>avoid saying cut away, please, but cut away please? <v Speaker 1>I got you? Oh my god. How much. <v Speaker 3>Does it cost to put a game on the e Shop? <v Speaker 3>No direct fee to upload the game itself. Registration for <v Speaker 3>the Nintendo Developer Portal is free, and there is no <v Speaker 3>charge for downloading tools. However, there are other cost associated <v Speaker 3>with development and publishing, such as okay, this is saying <v Speaker 3>this is saying it's free to upload a game to <v Speaker 3>the e Shop. <v Speaker 1>I had. <v Speaker 3>I had someone approach me a year or two ago <v Speaker 3>and they're like, I'm trying to upload a game to <v Speaker 3>the E Shop and I need help raising funds because <v Speaker 3>it's like eight hundred dollars and I'm now thinking that <v Speaker 3>maybe they were lying and trying to get money from me. <v Speaker 3>And this whole time, I've thought that it was eight <v Speaker 3>hundred dollars. But it doesn't seem right that it's free. No, <v Speaker 3>I think it makes sense, but like maybe maybe all <v Speaker 3>right here Steam is a one time one hundred dollars fee. <v Speaker 3>There's no way the shop is free. <v Speaker 1>Google is wrong. Hear me out, hear me out. <v Speaker 2>Maybe maybe they don't pay, but there's like a website <v Speaker 2>or like a third party thing that gets your game <v Speaker 2>up there like really quickly, and uh, they charge maybe <v Speaker 2>like a lot of money. <v Speaker 3>This says, so there's a Steam page here. I don't <v Speaker 3>know you can show this. I don't know if it's <v Speaker 3>how accurate it is. Where Steam direct it costs one <v Speaker 3>hundred dollars for each game to be released and is <v Speaker 3>a payment of one hundred for each game. With Nintendo <v Speaker 3>it's a one time payment of four fifty for the <v Speaker 3>DevKit and everything else is allowed through the shop. But <v Speaker 3>that was the switch one. Yeah, I don't think it <v Speaker 3>would have changed though, well for the DevKit maybe, I <v Speaker 3>don't know. Wait, is it only four hundred and fifty <v Speaker 3>for a dev kit? <v Speaker 1>How do I buy one? <v Speaker 3>That's what I That's what I'm trying to say. Maybe <v Speaker 3>how do I buy a dev kit? Gotta be dev <v Speaker 3>gotta be a dev all right, what's next? Sorry, guys, <v Speaker 3>I'm very very tired today. I did not sleep very <v Speaker 3>well last night. I apologize if I seem that way. Oh, <v Speaker 3>people keep asking me to talk about the Zelder movie. <v Speaker 3>So let's talk about the Zelder movie. Because I didn't <v Speaker 3>talk about the casting or anything. Yeah, you can show <v Speaker 3>my screen. Oh god, I don't know. I don't have <v Speaker 3>much to say. Zelda movie was cast, They casted Zelder <v Speaker 3>and Link. This was a while ago. I apologize for <v Speaker 3>not talking about it, but people keep asking me to <v Speaker 3>talk about it. <v Speaker 1>Bo Braggerson and Benjamin Evan. Yeah it's fine, I mean yeah, <v Speaker 1>but I mean my opinion, you know, on it as <v Speaker 1>I wish it wasn't live action. I I don't. <v Speaker 3>I don't really care about this movie right now either, <v Speaker 3>do it. I haven't cared the whole time, And you're <v Speaker 3>right because it's live action. But also when we saw <v Speaker 3>who was tied to it, the people that made I <v Speaker 3>forgot or what it was now but just a bunch <v Speaker 3>of just a bunch of bad like Morebius. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, like Morbius was one Borderlands four. <v Speaker 2>I can't remember if it was the director or the producer, <v Speaker 2>but those movies between those two were linked. <v Speaker 1>I'm not intended to this movie, just just some awful movies. <v Speaker 3>There wasn't really anything that either of them had worked <v Speaker 3>on that you can really point at and be like, <v Speaker 3>well that that's promising, so off the rip, I kind <v Speaker 3>of just shut this movie out, and I'm really just <v Speaker 3>waiting to see it. Obviously, Nintendo worked closely with. <v Speaker 2>What's the animation studio, Elutionination Illumination. <v Speaker 3>He worked closely with Illumination and made a really cool <v Speaker 3>Mario movie. It was kind of just like a brain <v Speaker 3>rot movie. I guess it's just fun. Though it's fun, <v Speaker 3>it's not something I would watch a second time, and <v Speaker 3>it's Mario. So Nintendo being kind of hands on and <v Speaker 3>involved in that gives me hope that Nintendo can steer <v Speaker 3>this in the right direction. But I've not, and I've <v Speaker 3>been open about this, I've not had high hopes for <v Speaker 3>this movie at all. I think it's hard to do <v Speaker 3>a live action Zelder in general, I have a hard <v Speaker 3>time even picturing what that looks like. But if we <v Speaker 3>want to talk specifically just about this casting, I'm just <v Speaker 3>glad it's not Tom Holland and Chris Pratt playing Lincoln <v Speaker 3>Zelder respectively. <v Speaker 1>Zelder. <v Speaker 3>I think she looks pretty and she looks like a <v Speaker 3>Zelder Link or this other guy. It's not really screaming <v Speaker 3>a Link face to me, but he's about the right <v Speaker 3>age that I would picture. And again, I'm just happy <v Speaker 3>that it's two people I've never seen before, which is <v Speaker 3>definitely what I would want from this. I do not <v Speaker 3>want to look at the act of portraying Link and <v Speaker 3>think about Spider Man or anything like that. I definitely <v Speaker 3>want to go into this not having any preconceived notions <v Speaker 3>of the actors. So I think that's a great get. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>he really doesn't look like Link to me, but again, <v Speaker 3>I guess we'll wait and see with the makeup. I <v Speaker 3>guess with the makeup and prosthetics and blonde hair and <v Speaker 3>all of that, and yeah, that's that. I don't really <v Speaker 3>know what else to say. It says coming to theat <v Speaker 3>is twenty twenty seven, So. <v Speaker 1>I have no hopes. I have no hopes for this movie. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I really am not getting my expectations though. <v Speaker 2>Also, Nintendo doesn't have the greatest well I don't want <v Speaker 2>to say Nintendo themselves, but Nintendo video game movies that <v Speaker 2>were live action don't have the best track record. You know. <v Speaker 2>They really surprised me with Mario. It was definitely better <v Speaker 2>than I expected. I hope they can do it again. <v Speaker 3>But with Mario again, you had illumination at the wheel <v Speaker 3>and you could at least point to things like minions <v Speaker 3>and stuff like that. It is like they know how <v Speaker 3>to make a dumb, brain rop fun movie. I thought <v Speaker 3>it was a decently put together animated movie. So this <v Speaker 3>just has nothing that I can latch onto. It's not <v Speaker 3>like it's like from the creators of the Game of <v Speaker 3>Throne series, which I know that went to crap at <v Speaker 3>the end there, but that's because they rushed it. It <v Speaker 3>would at least give me, you know, like, oh, we <v Speaker 3>have six six seasons of that, or from the creators <v Speaker 3>of Lord of the Rings or something, you know, like <v Speaker 3>or even just like from a from a retudable like <v Speaker 3>studio or director or something. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, it's just I also I kind. <v Speaker 2>Of would have lost my mind if it was animated <v Speaker 2>by the right studio, like like anime anime animation kind <v Speaker 2>of thing, you know, because I feel like it lends <v Speaker 2>itself well for that. <v Speaker 3>I I mean, I obviously I think anime and and <v Speaker 3>animation is way easier to tell a story like this, <v Speaker 3>especially when we're already used to this being delivered to <v Speaker 3>us in the medium and form of like cartoon graphics. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Right, But I do think if any of Nintendo's properties <v Speaker 3>or ips were going to be done in a live <v Speaker 3>action way, it is Zelder and they did just do <v Speaker 3>an animation movie, so I don't necessarily mind them trying <v Speaker 3>to do it live action. It's just way harder to <v Speaker 3>do that, and without the right people behind it, it <v Speaker 3>can so easily go wrong. <v Speaker 1>It can also look terrible. <v Speaker 3>Like how many good live action video game movies do <v Speaker 3>we have? Not a lot, because obviously in recent that <v Speaker 3>I can think of, I don't know if people seem <v Speaker 3>to like the Minecraft movie, I thought it looked rough. <v Speaker 1>They just like it because it's Minecraft. I think Borderland's <v Speaker 1>four was a bomb. Yeah, terrible. The Assassin's Creed movie, <v Speaker 1>Everyone's forgotten about that. Terrible. Uh, Resident Evil, Resident Evil movies. <v Speaker 3>I mean, they weren't really Resident Evil, Like, I don't <v Speaker 3>know what they were doing with it because its own story. <v Speaker 3>I didn't mind some of them, but they want great movies. No, <v Speaker 3>they did make like seven of them though, so clearly <v Speaker 3>something like the first two. I like the first one. <v Speaker 3>The first one too, Yeah, the first one Uncharted. People <v Speaker 3>seem to like Uncharted. <v Speaker 1>I didn't like it. <v Speaker 3>You're right, Sonic, I would say Sonic is like the <v Speaker 3>shining example Sonic. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Sonic. <v Speaker 3>I do feel like, Yeah, Sonic, I think is lucky <v Speaker 3>that it really works with this blend of animation and <v Speaker 3>live action. But also they did that They've done a <v Speaker 3>really good job with it. So yeah, right, Sonic is <v Speaker 3>definitely I think the all Star. I think before Sonic <v Speaker 3>it was like the tomb rated movies weren't bad with <v Speaker 3>Angelina Joe Lee. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't think they were done terribly, but I <v Speaker 2>might be miss I might be misremembering. I need to <v Speaker 2>go back and watch them and then going back to show. <v Speaker 2>I guess like movies, but more of a show would <v Speaker 2>be freaking the Last of Us. <v Speaker 3>Someone said alienvest Predator. That is not a video game movie. <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, does my favorite video game movie all <v Speaker 3>Sonic is the most consistent Doom movie. I remember that <v Speaker 3>being pretty bad. I know that being pretty bad. <v Speaker 1>It was so bad. <v Speaker 3>Detective Pikachu, ohty good. I didn't mind that, yeah, seeing <v Speaker 3>but that was also a weird animation slash live action crossover. <v Speaker 1>Because Pokemon can lends itself well to something like that. <v Speaker 2>But also the Pokemon looked like they try to give <v Speaker 2>them a realistic look, and some of them looked horrified. <v Speaker 3>They did, but I kind of liked it. I guess <v Speaker 3>my point is, even though you know, we've had some <v Speaker 3>decent ones and the fun goofy like Pokemon and Sonic, <v Speaker 3>doing the animated in real life with a lot of <v Speaker 3>humor really works. That that concept works, and you know <v Speaker 3>it's worked since Rocking Bullwinkle remember that movie, yep, I remember. <v Speaker 3>But this is Zelder, which is more gritty, and there's <v Speaker 3>not really a ton of room for humor. I'm not <v Speaker 3>sure if they'll even try adding it in because Zelder <v Speaker 3>isn't necessarily depends on the game. I mean, win Waker <v Speaker 3>had some goofy faces, but I think what they're gonna <v Speaker 3>go for is a more gritty. <v Speaker 1>You think they're gonna go gritty? It depends on the game. <v Speaker 3>I don't know, and I guess it depends what they <v Speaker 3>do with it, But I feel like I feel like <v Speaker 3>you'd want to do like a Lord of the Rings, <v Speaker 3>uh game of Thronesy type vibe, right, you'd want to <v Speaker 3>go really like way less fine nail the costume design, <v Speaker 3>nail the action, nail like the heart to the story, <v Speaker 3>rather than you know, the more goofy Ones, which is <v Speaker 3>like win Waker, which is like so much more that's <v Speaker 3>like an animated movie more than a live action movie. <v Speaker 3>Do you think they're gonna go with his like Peter <v Speaker 3>Pan look or the blue look. Oh, it'll be Peter Pan. <v Speaker 3>It'll be Peter Pan one hundred percent. They'll go Yeah, <v Speaker 3>green Tunic has to be. <v Speaker 2>Might not. <v Speaker 3>I feel like that's the most recognizable link, even now, <v Speaker 3>even after going through Blue Link. I think it's the <v Speaker 3>most recognizable link. And I think the story they'll tell <v Speaker 3>will probably be more akin to like an Okarena type <v Speaker 3>like core story with Gannon and stealings Elder and having <v Speaker 3>to save and Okay, that's my that's my guess and <v Speaker 3>my vibe. I think another reason why I think that <v Speaker 3>is because one, I think, if I remember this correctly, <v Speaker 3>one thing that the producer or director I can't remember, <v Speaker 3>but worked on was May's Runner. You remember those movies, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>and those were very much like teen adventure kind of <v Speaker 3>like thriller, gritty type stories. And that was really, as <v Speaker 3>far as I could see, with all the projects that <v Speaker 3>were tied in to those people involved, was the more <v Speaker 3>successful one. And it's again, it's kind of like a <v Speaker 3>teen adventure movie, and this will be a teen adventure movie, <v Speaker 3>I think. <v Speaker 1>So. <v Speaker 3>I think they're going to lean in to the experience <v Speaker 3>he had there with Maize Runner and do something similar. <v Speaker 2>Either that or I can actually see them doing more <v Speaker 2>of the downfall timeline, where like, actually maybe. <v Speaker 3>It's the first movie. I think you just got to <v Speaker 3>do the traditional Zeuder story. Do the traditional kid wakes <v Speaker 3>up or whatever one day gets told that he needs <v Speaker 3>to go and save hire Roll or save the prince <v Speaker 3>or go meet the princess, and then the princess gets <v Speaker 3>kidnapped and he suddenly gets caught up in an adventure <v Speaker 3>where he has to save her and he meets all <v Speaker 3>these weird characters on the way. I think that's the <v Speaker 3>story that works. I wonder if they're gonna do the <v Speaker 3>Goron like the Gorons and the Zora in like prosthetics, <v Speaker 3>if they're a gonna do them at all, which I <v Speaker 3>feel like you have to because if he's gonna be <v Speaker 3>visiting like Death Mountain and like Zora's Domain and all <v Speaker 3>of that, I wonder if they'll do those in prosthetics <v Speaker 3>or if they'll be CGI, and if they'll be like <v Speaker 3>cartoony CGI or realistic. <v Speaker 2>I mean, when's the last time movie used practice goal effects? <v Speaker 2>Though I don't think any movies use practical effects anymore. <v Speaker 3>Barely, but like when you're working on what I assume <v Speaker 3>is not a huge budget, if you're doing these big <v Speaker 3>even like so, Kim and I went to watch Fantastic <v Speaker 3>Four recently no spoilers, but the thing looked so CGI <v Speaker 3>the whole time, like it stood out like a sore <v Speaker 3>thumb to me. There was very few shots where I <v Speaker 3>thought he looked like real and that was Marvel money <v Speaker 3>with one of the main characters in the movie. I <v Speaker 3>don't see the whole kind of like that too. I mean, <v Speaker 3>the Hulk in the TV show was pretty bad, but <v Speaker 3>in the movies too. <v Speaker 1>Then I can't remember. I have to watch it again. <v Speaker 1>Well that's Marvel money. But I'm saying. <v Speaker 3>I'm saying the thing in the recent Marvel movie is <v Speaker 3>my example, looked pretty fake, and that they also cgid <v Speaker 3>a baby a few times and that looked awful. So <v Speaker 3>I can't imagine this movie with its budget doing CGI <v Speaker 3>that well. So I feel like you kind of have <v Speaker 3>to lean into prosthetics. But garns are essentially the thing. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>very similar. Wicked us a lot of practical effects. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>but Wicked had an insane budget. Okay, Yeah, that makes sense. <v Speaker 3>So did the Bobbie movie. Actually, Bobby movie had an <v Speaker 3>insane budget. I loved I love that movie hard disagree <v Speaker 3>with the thing my guy looked incredible or it is? Okay, <v Speaker 3>I don't all right, I don't know how to word this. <v Speaker 3>It is funny to me how some people can't see <v Speaker 3>CGI sometimes. Yeah, I mean to me, it always stands <v Speaker 3>out like a sore thumb. <v Speaker 2>I think it's because we grew up with different types <v Speaker 2>of CGI, probably like like what was the I feel <v Speaker 2>like some of the older CGI looks really good because <v Speaker 2>it was an art form to it instead of inviting <v Speaker 2>a computer. <v Speaker 3>It's always blown away. When I go back and watch <v Speaker 3>the first Jurassic Park for the nineties, that CGI looked <v Speaker 3>better than the CGI the new Marvel movie. <v Speaker 1>A lot of it was practical, I think too. Not <v Speaker 1>the dinosaurs, not the dinosaurs. <v Speaker 2>No, But then also you also had uh I think <v Speaker 2>a lot of the CGI from like the first few <v Speaker 2>Transformers looked amazing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, trying to Transformers movies. <v Speaker 2>They looked really good, like comparatively to what we got <v Speaker 2>now for CGI. <v Speaker 1>Someone that doesn't matter if they see it. No, not <v Speaker 1>at all. No, it doesn't matter at all, obviously. <v Speaker 3>I'm just saying it stood out to me like a <v Speaker 3>sore thumb, especially like the way that his clothes sat <v Speaker 3>on him and they tried to animate the clothes moving, <v Speaker 3>and just some of the shots where he was walking <v Speaker 3>around the street. It just it was so painfully bad. <v Speaker 3>How much of that is becoming like a I generated? Like, <v Speaker 3>how much of that they did it? <v Speaker 1>I have no idea. <v Speaker 3>Okay, alright, alrighty. I had a thing about this Mario <v Speaker 3>leak that was going around, which one, this one. <v Speaker 1>For sure? Only if you want him to see it, <v Speaker 1>I want to see it. Did you see this going around? <v Speaker 2>No? <v Speaker 1>No, I haven't. <v Speaker 3>This was making the rounds a week ago. Everyone was <v Speaker 3>thinking that this was like a real League. <v Speaker 1>I can't. <v Speaker 3>I mean, it looks pretty good, but I do think <v Speaker 3>it's fake. It's hard to tell. Well, I've never seen <v Speaker 3>that SRB rating before. Well that's Japanese. Oh okay, and <v Speaker 3>so they do it. Oh, I get it, I get it. <v Speaker 3>I I didn't see it. Then Mario's fortieth anniversary is <v Speaker 3>coming up, and I don't know if someone mocked this up. <v Speaker 1>I think I think it was proved fake. I really <v Speaker 1>don't know. <v Speaker 3>It was funny that during all of this stuff that <v Speaker 3>I was dealing with, this league was going around and <v Speaker 3>people were trying to tell if it was fake or not. <v Speaker 3>I think what I saw is someone someone posted it somewhere. <v Speaker 3>I think it was done in a similar con text <v Speaker 3>as that Scott the War was leak No probably where <v Speaker 3>I like, Scott, what were you telling me? <v Speaker 1>He he made his. <v Speaker 2>Own version of a three DS that he thought would <v Speaker 2>look cool for like the Yoshi version or whatever, and <v Speaker 2>then he posted it on and he posted online and <v Speaker 2>people ran with it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and they thought that it was real. I think <v Speaker 3>that's what I think that's what happened here. I think <v Speaker 3>someone made this because they thought it was cool, and <v Speaker 3>then it just started getting traction and people started believing it. <v Speaker 3>I wonder what kind of biases or sciences we could <v Speaker 3>apply to that situation. <v Speaker 2>I think we can get a confirmation bias. Maybe maybe <v Speaker 2>maybe I would say a lusory truth. Yeah, yep, no, <v Speaker 2>wou did we learned that you can cut away? I <v Speaker 2>need to like, should I just like snap my fingers? <v Speaker 1>Is that rude? You can like to a little code, <v Speaker 1>like like like a fingertat. <v Speaker 3>I don't know why we're on episode one hundred and <v Speaker 3>forty nine. I don't know how many of these episodes <v Speaker 3>I've said that I need my own Steam deck when <v Speaker 3>someone else is cutting and I just haven't bought one, <v Speaker 3>and they're like, what fifty bucks, I just need to <v Speaker 3>buy one. <v Speaker 1>Get that number pad key or whatever. <v Speaker 3>I also wanted to talk about switch to cuts, but <v Speaker 3>I feel like that conversation has moved on a bit too. <v Speaker 3>But we touched on it last week about how they <v Speaker 3>did a survey. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and then what was it? There was something switched <v Speaker 1>to maybe getting bigger game carts that'd be fantastic. <v Speaker 3>Please this is a short article, let me read it. Mcronics, <v Speaker 3>the Taiwanese company that have been making Nintendo game carts <v Speaker 3>for years, just shed some interesting news in its latest <v Speaker 3>financial report. Turns out mcronics rum chips are being used <v Speaker 3>in both the current switch and the switch to game cuts. <v Speaker 3>But here's the fun part. They're cooking up future cartridges <v Speaker 3>using a mix of their own mlc NA n D <v Speaker 3>and some outsourced three d NA n D depending on <v Speaker 3>how much space is needed. <v Speaker 1>But what does that mean? <v Speaker 3>Different size switch to game carts could be on the <v Speaker 3>way right now? Switch two cards only come in one <v Speaker 3>pricey size, which has made some third party developers jump <v Speaker 3>ship the cheaper game cards game key cards. However, if <v Speaker 3>Mcronics's hint is anything to go by, we might see <v Speaker 3>some storage options soon and maybe even lower costs. So again, <v Speaker 3>this is a rumor, speculation, but apparently yeah. I mean <v Speaker 3>you can kind of summarize that in this company is <v Speaker 3>trying to find a way to make different size switch <v Speaker 3>to cards cheaper using different technology. <v Speaker 2>I can definitely see that, because like they had a <v Speaker 2>scene on that survey that people were pissy about. Oh yeah, <v Speaker 2>that sort of a blew up for them. They shut <v Speaker 2>it down. <v Speaker 3>I don't know how long it was actually open for, <v Speaker 3>but I know as soon as I heard about it <v Speaker 3>and tried to look within an hour it was gone. <v Speaker 3>Some people said that it was up for longer than <v Speaker 3>that and it just got popular. I don't know, but <v Speaker 3>when I found out about it, it was too late, <v Speaker 3>so they definitely got blown up. And I think this also, <v Speaker 3>if we're to believe all of that is true, I <v Speaker 3>think that leans even more into the idea of how <v Speaker 3>we got here, being they're just so expensive that if <v Speaker 3>Nintendo had offered a thirty two gig or a sixteen <v Speaker 3>gig alongside the other the gamekey cart and the thing, <v Speaker 3>it would still just be expensive. Yeah, Like if anything <v Speaker 3>not even that much cheaper than the sixty four gig, <v Speaker 3>it would still be too expensive for developers to use. So, <v Speaker 3>for example, let's say they released a sixteen gig or <v Speaker 3>something I don't know it because they need to be <v Speaker 3>super fast to keep up with SSD. These cartridges are <v Speaker 3>bigger and more expensive than switch one, So that sixteen <v Speaker 3>gig could still have been ten twelve dollars, you know, <v Speaker 3>it's not necessarily would have been five four three dollars. <v Speaker 3>It could still have been almost as expensive as the <v Speaker 3>sixty four gig, which could leave developers in the position <v Speaker 3>of still not being able to afford it. So Nintendo <v Speaker 3>probably just decided what's the point. <v Speaker 2>I mean for me, like particularly why I like my <v Speaker 2>physicals because I like to free up space on my <v Speaker 2>on my switch. But I wonder if they would have <v Speaker 2>done something like what Square did with f F seven <v Speaker 2>Rebirth and just made where like a cheaper version of <v Speaker 2>the card, but you can just download straight from the <v Speaker 2>card itself, like you know how you can just download <v Speaker 2>the game right off the disc of like like Rebirth <v Speaker 2>for example. <v Speaker 1>Mm hmmm. I wonder if they could just do that. <v Speaker 1>But the data is on that disc. Huh. The data <v Speaker 1>is on that disc though. No, that's what I mean. <v Speaker 2>So instead of having its being super fast, it's just <v Speaker 2>a storage thing and you just install. <v Speaker 1>Oh you're saying a switch one cartridge, Yeah, but you <v Speaker 1>just install it kind of thing. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean that's definitely an option, but I think <v Speaker 3>optically the general consumer wouldn't understand why they're getting a <v Speaker 3>switch one cut in their switch to game. Yeah, it's <v Speaker 3>still a bit confusing. I mean that would be good, <v Speaker 3>but well, yeah, hopefully with all the feedback Nintendo received <v Speaker 3>recently in that survey and just technology moving along, because <v Speaker 3>SD cards always get. <v Speaker 1>Cheaper, yeah, they wind up going for cheap. <v Speaker 3>Hopefully we can find a way to get some other <v Speaker 3>sizes out. Unfortunately, and I've said this already, kind of <v Speaker 3>still it's a little late, like obviously I want it, <v Speaker 3>and like better late than never, But all of those <v Speaker 3>third party developers and publishers are supported on launch and <v Speaker 3>all of those Launch window games, where like you would <v Speaker 3>have sold so many impulse purchases to begin with, No, <v Speaker 3>I don't think people are going back and buying your <v Speaker 3>KUSA once it gets a physical cat. I think you <v Speaker 3>kind of just missed it like that whenever it happens, <v Speaker 3>Everything up until that point was just. <v Speaker 2>Missed the I think the only time I think you <v Speaker 2>might get impulse purchases with the holiday season coming along, <v Speaker 2>if you can get it before you. <v Speaker 3>Put it on a cart and you you a sale. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>yeah maybe And I and I hope I hope that <v Speaker 3>some of the publishers, if court sizes come out, utilize <v Speaker 3>it and switch back over. But again they might just <v Speaker 3>be like, well we did it, we were there and launched. <v Speaker 3>It's a game key cut. <v Speaker 2>Also, it raises another concern to like, people who have <v Speaker 2>the game key cart might feel burned if they wind <v Speaker 2>up re releasing the game on like. <v Speaker 1>A normal that's true, Like, oh, I bought it on <v Speaker 1>a game key card. <v Speaker 2>And how many of the normal games you know, the <v Speaker 2>game key cards are out for sale already, Like how <v Speaker 2>many do they have to recall to Then, well, so <v Speaker 2>dies that lower the value of the game key cuts, <v Speaker 2>then yeah, probably I'll be curious. <v Speaker 3>Someone in chat said, waiting for Black Fry, I'll be <v Speaker 3>curious to see switch to game key cut games from <v Speaker 3>third party developers on Black Friday, because they might just <v Speaker 3>want to move them. And you might be looking at <v Speaker 3>a lot of game key carts on Black Friday for <v Speaker 3>ten twenty bucks for games like Yakuza and stuff like that. <v Speaker 3>We might actually get some really cheaper games deep sales. <v Speaker 3>It may be good because also, you know, if we're <v Speaker 3>to go by when they said they're selling at the <v Speaker 3>lowest of low expectations, they probably have like stockpiles of <v Speaker 3>the games they can't move. Here's an example. WWE two <v Speaker 3>K twenty five came out or twenty six or whatever <v Speaker 3>it is. Yeah, the recent one for switch. It's a <v Speaker 3>code in the box for one, it's not even a <v Speaker 3>game key cut. But Sean and I were playing some <v Speaker 3>rounds online, so when you play online, even with friends, <v Speaker 3>you have to make a lobby that the friend can join, <v Speaker 3>and the friend searches for the lobby, right, so you <v Speaker 3>see every other lobby that's open. Guess how many other <v Speaker 3>lobbies were open on like a Friday night at like <v Speaker 3>eight pm when we were playing. <v Speaker 1>Was it just you two? It was just us? <v Speaker 3>The entire switch to online ecosystem for WWE two K <v Speaker 3>a week after it came out was me and Sean <v Speaker 3>playing one v ones online. You want to know also <v Speaker 3>how bad it is. There's online leader boards and they <v Speaker 3>rank the online people playing online on the leaderboards by <v Speaker 3>how many wins they have. Guess how many wins you <v Speaker 3>have to get online to be in the top twenty <v Speaker 3>five players worldwide? One hundred at least eight at least <v Speaker 3>eight wins. Do you want to guess the number one <v Speaker 3>spot in the world? How many wins they had to <v Speaker 3>get number one in the game online? <v Speaker 1>Was it one hundred sixty sixty? They won sixty? It <v Speaker 1>went sixty. <v Speaker 3>Number two was like fifty something. Then number three to <v Speaker 3>like four and five were like thirty wins. <v Speaker 1>And I kid you not. Just to get in the <v Speaker 1>top twenty five was like you had to eight on <v Speaker 1>nine wins. Sean and I played three games together and <v Speaker 1>he won a couple and I think I won one, <v Speaker 1>and we both broke the top one hundred worldwide. That's insane. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Also, also you could have just like queued together and <v Speaker 2>just got and just started spoofing like a That's what <v Speaker 2>I said to him. I was like, if do you <v Speaker 2>want to like spoof this and get to number one, <v Speaker 2>because it wouldn't take long. We just have to do <v Speaker 2>a normal match and then one of us get disqualified <v Speaker 2>right away. <v Speaker 1>That's so bad, miss. <v Speaker 3>That's how dead the online is for that game. So <v Speaker 3>you're telling me that on Black Friday, that's not going <v Speaker 3>to be ten dollars. It's I mean, it's going to <v Speaker 3>be cheap. Also, I hate the code in the box. Man, Oh, <v Speaker 3>what's the point? Right, at least the gay key card <v Speaker 3>is full. At least the game key card. Even when <v Speaker 3>at least when you're done with the game you can <v Speaker 3>pass it along to someone else, It. <v Speaker 2>Doesn't It doesn't make any sense other than what you <v Speaker 2>just said, because the developer doesn't want you reselling it right. <v Speaker 2>They want they want the person that would have bought <v Speaker 2>the game key cut from you. To be forced to <v Speaker 2>have to buy it from them, so dumb. So that's <v Speaker 2>the only thing I can assume, because when a gamekey <v Speaker 2>cut is there and it's cheap and affordable, and you're <v Speaker 2>doing a cod in box, it's literally to prevent people <v Speaker 2>reselling your game. So you're making a physical, but it's <v Speaker 2>a physical that people cannot resell, so other people have <v Speaker 2>to buy it as well. I feel like it's worse <v Speaker 2>than physical at that point. It's just you're buying a case. <v Speaker 1>It's a case. You're buying a gamekey case. It's actually <v Speaker 1>right next to you. And I did it. I bought <v Speaker 1>the I bought the case. It's it's like five over. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>and I believe me. I hate myself. I do. I <v Speaker 1>keep buying them. But the thing is, well, it's so small. <v Speaker 1>Full game download see. <v Speaker 3>Gamekey one and put it next to it and show <v Speaker 3>them together because I hate that. <v Speaker 1>Let's get a better one. Yeah, get that one. <v Speaker 3>So a gamekey card needs to have this giant box <v Speaker 3>dialogue at the bottom, and then a code in box doesn't. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, this just says you can hide it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, this just says, uh, this says game key card, <v Speaker 2>and you know immediately it's a game, he with a <v Speaker 2>bunch of jargon. This one just says, this one's real <v Speaker 2>small and it goes game full game download, see back <v Speaker 2>game card not included. <v Speaker 1>But it's so tiny. Yeah that's painful. Yeah I hate that. <v Speaker 3>I know, I hate that I'm buying them, but it's <v Speaker 3>like I wanted to get it so I could review <v Speaker 3>it and talk about it. And I keep having this <v Speaker 3>like roadblock in my head where I'm like, do I <v Speaker 3>spend sixty dollars or whatever it is and buy it digital? <v Speaker 1>Or do I buy it? <v Speaker 3>Do I spend sixty dollars get a code which is <v Speaker 3>the same thing, but at least I have a bit <v Speaker 3>of plastic artwork to put on my shelf, Like I <v Speaker 3>am literally getting something physical for the same price, even <v Speaker 3>though I know it's nothing. And ultimately, when there's like <v Speaker 3>ten people that bought the game anyway, what's it really <v Speaker 3>matter what I do? You know, I don't know, trust me, <v Speaker 3>They're hurting whether or not I buy it that way <v Speaker 3>or not. So I just continue buying it that way <v Speaker 3>because at least I get something. But it still sucks, <v Speaker 3>and it's still sad, and I still feel bad every <v Speaker 3>time I get it. It's just it's nothing. It's nothing. <v Speaker 2>To also preface like, I also hate it, and I <v Speaker 2>when the same thing happens with PlayStation or any of <v Speaker 2>these companies that put it on, like PlayStation, Xbox whatever, <v Speaker 2>it makes me really upset. <v Speaker 1>Oh all right, I'm tired. Yeah, I barely. I honestly <v Speaker 1>did not sleep last night at all. Is that? Is that? <v Speaker 1>Anything else? I don't know? Let me see anything else <v Speaker 1>to get upset about. That was pretty much everything in <v Speaker 1>my dock that I wanted to cover. Oh, other than. <v Speaker 2>Other games coming in August. This is from Nintendo. This <v Speaker 2>is the last thing, and then I'm gonna get out <v Speaker 2>of here. <v Speaker 3>Coming in August, Madden twenty six, Drag and Drive Orious <v Speaker 3>Season's Grand Bazaarre, and the DOOC for Kirby. I would <v Speaker 3>say the DOC for Kirby is what I am most <v Speaker 3>looking forward to here, but also like not. <v Speaker 1>Really, I'm nervous. Why all right? So what's the DLC <v Speaker 1>for Kirby costs? <v Speaker 3>I want to say twenty because you're paying for the <v Speaker 3>enhancement and then the DOC, and it's ten dollars each <v Speaker 3>is how they break it down, So twenty dollars. <v Speaker 1>Is it gonna be worth that? Though? <v Speaker 2>You know what I mean, like like, maybe it is <v Speaker 2>because it's Kirby, and maybe I should have some hope <v Speaker 2>for it, but I wasn't. <v Speaker 1>I wasn't. <v Speaker 2>Like after we played a Maria party and I paid, <v Speaker 2>we paid twenty bucks for that. Yeah, I felt burned, Mario. <v Speaker 2>I know, I made a video about that. That was <v Speaker 2>another thing though, that went into this whole thing of <v Speaker 2>me being disappointed. Maria Party doc was so disappointing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I also realized the other day, and I don't think <v Speaker 3>I touched on this in the video, but if you <v Speaker 3>buy the doc for twenty bucks, you can't play any <v Speaker 3>of it in handheld mode. No, none of it because <v Speaker 3>there's the mouse controls. Yeah, the camera you can't. <v Speaker 1>You can. Can you do camera? <v Speaker 3>No, because you need to be standing away from it. Yep, <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah you can. You can do it portably technically. <v Speaker 3>Then still you plug in the because you're standing away <v Speaker 3>from it your full body, but you still have to <v Speaker 3>be stationary. <v Speaker 1>Huh. I'm saying. <v Speaker 2>What I'm saying is that it can be played outside <v Speaker 2>the dock, right, No, it just put it on a stand. <v Speaker 3>No, oh sure, if you if you put it on <v Speaker 3>a table with a camera in it. What's the difference <v Speaker 3>between that's not handheld? No, no, it's not handheld. <v Speaker 1>It's not. It's not so you can do the camera. <v Speaker 3>Maybe you can do the three microphone games? No you <v Speaker 3>Why not in handheld mode? I haven't tried it, but <v Speaker 3>I imagine maybe you could do that. <v Speaker 1>But then that's it. <v Speaker 3>So you can't do the Rollercoaster mode because it's got <v Speaker 3>mouse mini games. You can't do the Bowser mode because <v Speaker 3>it's got the camera minigames. So all you can do <v Speaker 3>is the Mario Party mode without the DC. So yeah, <v Speaker 3>in handheld mode, you can't do any of the doc. <v Speaker 3>You're right, And I also actually right. I sat down <v Speaker 3>to play that doc with Kim the other day and <v Speaker 3>I was like, you want to play Mario Party with me? <v Speaker 1>And she was like sure. And I was like do <v Speaker 1>you want to do the mouse mini games? And she <v Speaker 1>was like not really. And I was like, do you <v Speaker 1>want like the camera and like the like the you <v Speaker 1>want to like yell at your switch for minigames? And <v Speaker 1>she was like no, the baby's asleep. <v Speaker 3>So I was like, okay, so we're just gonna play <v Speaker 3>normal Mario Party and not the doc. She's like, well, no, <v Speaker 3>I want to do the doc. I'm like, that's it, though, <v Speaker 3>that's it. <v Speaker 1>That's it. <v Speaker 2>So, yeah, we can't play the doc. And she was like, oh, okay. <v Speaker 2>The one thing I do like, and I think it's <v Speaker 2>the it's the only thing I like. Is there was <v Speaker 2>like one minigame that that's fine. It's a little bit waggy, <v Speaker 2>the you know, the air Hockey one. And then obviously <v Speaker 2>when you're playing online and you're doing regular Marrior party <v Speaker 2>with your friends and you see each other's faces, I <v Speaker 2>think it's really funny. Yeah, seeing faces, So like if <v Speaker 2>you put the little camera in your handheld mode, you <v Speaker 2>can see faces. That's the main thing, it's just seeing <v Speaker 2>faces in Mario Party. Is that twenty bucks? <v Speaker 1>No? No, that should be free. Yeah, you actually can't <v Speaker 1>get that unless you pay the twenty. <v Speaker 2>Bucks and on top of you already paying for your <v Speaker 2>accessory to begin with, so and if you don't have <v Speaker 2>the game, it's eighty bucks for all of that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, well here's this. This might be good. <v Speaker 3>I mean the game was really good, So I guess <v Speaker 3>it just depends on how many levels there are. For <v Speaker 3>twenty bucks, I would hope that I would be playing <v Speaker 3>for at least five hours. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was that fair. <v Speaker 3>So if there's at least five hours of new content, <v Speaker 3>I'd say that's fair. It is definitely the kind of <v Speaker 3>thing where like, I felt satisfied by that game, and <v Speaker 3>I don't necessarily need or look forward to diving back <v Speaker 3>into it. But that's definitely a me thing, and I <v Speaker 3>will dive back into it because I want to know. Okay, <v Speaker 3>But I think if I wasn't like a reviewer or <v Speaker 3>like a Nintendo guy making content, I don't think I <v Speaker 3>would really care about this personally. I think I got <v Speaker 3>what I wanted to out of the game, and I <v Speaker 3>don't really need to spend twenty more bucks on it. <v Speaker 2>But I had my fun. I'm pretty sure I know <v Speaker 2>a lot of people had their fun in this game. <v Speaker 2>But there's also a good chunk of people who really <v Speaker 2>love Kirby and they might be really really looking forward <v Speaker 2>to this. <v Speaker 1>Yeah for sure. I mean it looks good. It looks <v Speaker 1>it looks better than. <v Speaker 3>All the other enhanced DLC stuff we got because the <v Speaker 3>Zelda stuff sucked. We just complained about the Super Mario stuff, <v Speaker 3>the whatever party. This is at least actual new content <v Speaker 3>in the game. True Mayo Party should have at least <v Speaker 3>have had a new map, like one new map. They <v Speaker 3>should have added a new map or that update should <v Speaker 3>have been free. Everything should have been free. All of <v Speaker 3>this stuff should be free. All right, let's get out <v Speaker 3>of here. I'm really really tired. <v Speaker 1>All right, Eh, sorry, I'm so not just I just <v Speaker 1>watched him go. <v Speaker 3>God, what a long day? All right, really quickly, let <v Speaker 3>me hit on some of these. I think there's just <v Speaker 3>a few super chats we missed here, Feral Flame, did <v Speaker 3>you guys get Pokemon con Quest yet? <v Speaker 1>What is that? <v Speaker 3>Wat's Pokemon con Quest, It's Pokemon Conguis. I don't know <v Speaker 3>what that is. I don't know why I'm blanking on that. <v Speaker 3>Mallets says, Honestly, this feels no different than the launch <v Speaker 3>of any new system. I wasn't ultimately sold on Switch <v Speaker 3>one until the switch to of its life cycle. That's <v Speaker 3>completely fair. No, definitely. I think where I'm coming from <v Speaker 3>with that is Nintendo had everything in their power to <v Speaker 3>hit the ground running, and they I just feel like <v Speaker 3>they haven't really hit the ground running, but they hit <v Speaker 3>the ground. <v Speaker 1>And they're here. <v Speaker 3>The ground has been hit. Ye, Wolves of Louisa with <v Speaker 3>a new membership. Uh Vegie Mighty find. Do you think <v Speaker 3>the movie will tie into the new mainline Zeuda game. <v Speaker 3>I don't think so because the Mario movie didn't tie <v Speaker 3>into anything really no, but Nintendo and timelines are very weird, <v Speaker 3>so who knows. At this point, it's too hot to <v Speaker 3>say because I don't know what the new Zeuta game <v Speaker 3>is gonna look like. <v Speaker 2>That also, if it if it's an absolute flop, I <v Speaker 2>feel like Nintendo would not want to include. <v Speaker 1>What's a flop the movie? <v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, Chibi Robo says Jacob with a two dollar <v Speaker 3>super chat and then Yusuf just with a super Chat <v Speaker 3>and they didn't say anything. <v Speaker 1>All right, hit the music. I can't tell you no. <v Speaker 3>Wait, this isn't the Bonus episode. I almost ended it <v Speaker 3>like the bonus episode. What what are you doing there? <v Speaker 3>You said hit the music? Yeah, and then you stopped it. Oh, <v Speaker 3>I said to stop with. <v Speaker 1>No. I was gonna say, I never mind, God, what <v Speaker 1>is what is wrong? Today? Fell off? I'm gonna lie. <v Speaker 1>I'm just really really tired. I didn't sleep. You didn't sleep. <v Speaker 1>That couldn't that can be why you're off. I couldn't sleep. <v Speaker 1>I had to sleep that much either. I had like <v Speaker 1>massive ADHD brain last night. I went to bed at. <v Speaker 3>Eleven thirty and I laid there literally until five am, <v Speaker 3>when Stinky Joe woke up and started screaming, and I <v Speaker 3>just I was just lying there with my eyes closed. <v Speaker 1>I I watched Horror. You messed up. <v Speaker 2>I just couldn't turn my brain off. I just couldn't <v Speaker 2>stop thinking about everything. All right, guys, I hope you <v Speaker 2>like the show though. It was nice to be back <v Speaker 2>and just talking about Nintender. Next week is episode one <v Speaker 2>hundred and fifty. <v Speaker 1>Yoh, let's go. I have organized going to Brooklyn. I <v Speaker 1>can't wait. I honestly can't. And I bet it's gonna <v Speaker 1>be so easy to get into the podcast next week. <v Speaker 1>So next week we'll be back in the studio. Hell yeah, <v Speaker 1>remember that, I don't. We'll be back in the studio. <v Speaker 1>We'll be back in Brooklyn in the same place. Oh <v Speaker 1>hell yah? Yeah. Hell yah, all right, buyer. <v Speaker 2>That was a sad ending bro, Yeah, it's all right, <v Speaker 2>thank you. <v Speaker 1>I want I should stop. I think they can also <v Speaker 1>still hear us. Really yeah you didn't. You didn't mute <v Speaker 1>any microphones? Okay? By everyone, I love you. <v Speaker 3>By
