Rachelle Sloan: Getting Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

A Warrior's Spirit

Rachelle has weathered some storms throughout her life as well as in her marriage and her faith was her guiding light. She wore an exterior mask so those around her were unaware of the chaos going on in her homelife.

Eventually, Rachelle and her husband went through counseling and started to attend church together. Change is never easy but in order to make it out the other side, Rachelle says she had to get comfortable being uncomfortable. She and her husband worked hard to overcome their childhood messes that were bleeding into their marriage and are now living a better life. They have learned new ways to handle the stress of life and bring more joy to their relationship. They have moved passed what had become ‘toxic normal’ and into a healthier relationship.

Rachelle’s journey is not only about stubbornness and stick-to-itiveness, but also about faith and courage. Something we all need in our lives.
