<v Speaker 1>Hello, everybody, Welcome on into the Non Tender Podcast. Hopefully
<v Speaker 1>everything sounds and looks okay, should look pretty fantastic because
<v Speaker 1>to my right, I believe if you're watching this on
<v Speaker 1>video form.
<v Speaker 2>Who is the last? Hi? Everybody?
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, thanks for coming back. How are you well?
<v Speaker 2>Thank you for having me. I was super stoked to
<v Speaker 2>receive a text today that I needed to hap in here.
<v Speaker 1>It's now tell the people it's a perfect day. How
<v Speaker 1>long ago that text came.
<v Speaker 2>Through honestly for minutes?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah. So
<v Speaker 1>I was going to do the episode today with Kim.
<v Speaker 1>We still have no Ham on board, and Kim Kim
<v Speaker 1>got sick. Kim got sick out of nowhere. We blamed Stobbucks.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for saying that. I appreciate that. I blame
<v Speaker 1>the stop and what did you get? So today is
<v Speaker 1>November seventh, which means three incredible things less three incredible things.
<v Speaker 1>Are you ready to hear them?
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely?
<v Speaker 1>One? The PlayStation five Pro released Thank God, thank God,
<v Speaker 1>thank God right. Two two Mario Luigi brother Ship released.
<v Speaker 2>That is a dub.
<v Speaker 1>That's a dub. And the third an arguably most exciting
<v Speaker 1>thing is Starbucks released, it's winter menu, it's winter lineup
<v Speaker 1>of drinks.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I am a huge fan of the peppermint mocha.
<v Speaker 2>I just make it at home though, with the creamer.
<v Speaker 2>You know, that's just how I roll.
<v Speaker 1>What do you mean you don't get the Starbucks one?
<v Speaker 1>You just make it at home?
<v Speaker 2>No, they have they sell like the creamer, So just
<v Speaker 2>do that, okay.
<v Speaker 1>Hey whatever works.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I've been making my own coffee at home. I
<v Speaker 2>have been very good. I have been trying to save money.
<v Speaker 1>How's that going for you?
<v Speaker 2>I would say really great, and I could give you
<v Speaker 2>all the details if you really want, but.
<v Speaker 1>Please do because I just realized OBS wasn't full scaling.
<v Speaker 1>And you look really weird in the frame right now.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, well not that weird. You're like a floating bubble.
<v Speaker 2>Oh well that's really fun. I mean I'm watching it
<v Speaker 2>live right now and it looks fine. Chat. What do
<v Speaker 2>you guys think?
<v Speaker 1>You see? How like there was space above you and
<v Speaker 1>below you? Here you go, oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, sorry about that.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I would have honestly thought that was a
<v Speaker 2>creative decision.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, it was. You were supposed to look like
<v Speaker 1>an otherworldly Fiah Cinema. I got the peppermint milcha Colebrew.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, you didn't ask. I assume you wanted
<v Speaker 1>to know.
<v Speaker 2>I actually did ask early, and you fucking ignored me.
<v Speaker 1>No, I went on. I went on a tangent about
<v Speaker 1>all the things coming out today. That's what happened. Speaking
<v Speaker 1>speaking of how cool you are, thank you so much.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate you for doing this last second. It means
<v Speaker 1>a lot. I want to do an episode with you
<v Speaker 1>in person too soon eventually, because those are so much,
<v Speaker 1>so much fun doing them in person. But I appreciate
<v Speaker 1>you jumping on in here.
<v Speaker 2>Uhh, well, we might have an opportunity coming up.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't want to say it. I didn't want to
<v Speaker 1>say it. I didn't want to say it. Do you
<v Speaker 1>want to say it? You can say it.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I mean, I guess I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>come over for If.
<v Speaker 1>You say it, you have to do it. If you
<v Speaker 1>say it live, you have to do it.
<v Speaker 2>You're committing okay, yeah, okay, yeah, but it's on a weekend,
<v Speaker 2>so we would prerecord or.
<v Speaker 1>What yeah, we recall we could prerecord it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, that would be fun.
<v Speaker 1>So you're committing the coming to Friends giving, the biggest
<v Speaker 1>event of the year. Yes, oh my god, let's go.
<v Speaker 2>I guess committing right here, live on air.
<v Speaker 1>So excited, so excited. You and Scoot are both flying
<v Speaker 1>in from California Friends Givings, but coming into into domestic
<v Speaker 1>flight experience for a lot of people.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, but hear me out. What if Scoot and I
<v Speaker 2>took a road trip.
<v Speaker 1>M He's in chat.
<v Speaker 2>That's the whole country, High Scoot.
<v Speaker 1>He's in chat. That's totally up to you, guys. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not funding it. I'm not paying for it. If
<v Speaker 1>you want to do it, go for it.
<v Speaker 2>He's calling me right now, is he really?
<v Speaker 1>Look? He will just you gonna you don't have to
<v Speaker 1>pick it up, High Scoot, you can. Let's not do this.
<v Speaker 1>Let's not do this.
<v Speaker 2>I have to hang up on you. I'm so sorry.
<v Speaker 1>Scoot is so prolific for calling you when you're live
<v Speaker 1>trying to create something. He will just call, he would
<v Speaker 1>just call.
<v Speaker 2>He's he's so content like he's I know he is.
<v Speaker 2>He's in it for the love of the game.
<v Speaker 1>It's okay for it on stream, but what do on
<v Speaker 1>a podcast here? The scootko I love him I'm excited
<v Speaker 1>to see him. Also, Ham will be that be there too,
<v Speaker 1>Very excited for Ham Hamson chat as well. Love to him.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's get on topic. Let's get talking about this.
<v Speaker 1>So the biggest the biggest news of the week. Are
<v Speaker 1>you ready? Oh yeah, the biggest news of the week
<v Speaker 1>is uh, let me let me pull let me look
<v Speaker 1>at it, let me pull it up, let me get
<v Speaker 1>eyes on.
<v Speaker 2>Are you not prepared? Should I just say it?
<v Speaker 1>No, I'm here. This is a tweet from President of
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Futukawa. At today's Corporate Management Policy briefing, we announced
<v Speaker 1>that the Nintendo Switch software will be playable on the
<v Speaker 1>successor to Nintendo Switch. So we hacking, did it? Nintenna
<v Speaker 1>Switch Online will also be available on the successor for
<v Speaker 1>the Tennis Switch as well. What we What were you
<v Speaker 1>about to say?
<v Speaker 2>Well? I was just gonna say, like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I feel like it. It was always gonna.
<v Speaker 1>Be, yeah, are you hitting us with it?
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to like be like that, like but like,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, it just kind of it was like
<v Speaker 2>a pleasant surprise, crazy ass day to announce it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was a day. It was a day. Can
<v Speaker 1>we actually I tweeted about that.
<v Speaker 2>What you say. I don't even see your tweet. So
<v Speaker 2>I have been trying to make an effort to be
<v Speaker 2>away from Twitter a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>I have. I wanted to bring that up with you
<v Speaker 1>because you tweeted I'm done with Twitter, like you like
<v Speaker 1>you actually made the tweet like you were done. And
<v Speaker 1>then I swear the same day you posted a selfie like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm back with a selfie. Can I go to your
<v Speaker 1>Twitter and see that I'm pretty sure it's still up right,
<v Speaker 1>sure your announcement that you're Can we see how many
<v Speaker 1>times you've tweeted since you've retired?
<v Speaker 2>So dramatic, Like actually so dramatic. I don't really know, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>Like I just have like like a huge disdain for
<v Speaker 2>the platform.
<v Speaker 1>Oh me too.
<v Speaker 2>Right now it is such like a negative force. I
<v Speaker 2>feel like I just feel like I'm constantly seeing like
<v Speaker 2>the craziest, most like inappropriate, awful shit all the time. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>And I feel like I'm constantly being barraged and assaulted
<v Speaker 2>by like the worst shit you ever.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, it's gone to hell. It's gone to hell.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I just was like, Okay, I'm gonna delete it
<v Speaker 2>from my phone. He he and then I sat down
<v Speaker 2>to try to record a video for my second channel
<v Speaker 2>about the SIMS, and then I realized, like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know anything like new I don't have any
<v Speaker 2>current information. I don't even know what to talk about.
<v Speaker 1>Mm hmm.
<v Speaker 2>I need Twitter. It's a lifeline for me, I suppose,
<v Speaker 2>and so I have been trying to make the effort
<v Speaker 2>and I still have to keep it alive, so I,
<v Speaker 2>unfortunately do have to be on there. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>All that said, though, that was a little dramatic. You
<v Speaker 1>tweeted super cringe of me to be online that I
<v Speaker 1>feel I have to announce I'm taking a break from
<v Speaker 1>a website, but I'm deleting this app from my phoneybus sixteen.
<v Speaker 1>Then October seventeen, you post a picture. I'm not even
<v Speaker 1>gonna say what the sticker says, but yeah, I come
<v Speaker 1>back and post a hot pick. You can't get rid
<v Speaker 1>of me that easily, Elon.
<v Speaker 2>I mean goal is to get people like me who
<v Speaker 2>are positive and fun and cool and posters off the website,
<v Speaker 2>and you just can't get rid of me.
<v Speaker 1>No, you can't do it, Elon. You might have tried,
<v Speaker 1>but you can't. You might have swayed the election, but
<v Speaker 1>you can't get rid of the list. Yeah, sorry about that.
<v Speaker 1>You did retweet the podcast today though, so you know
<v Speaker 1>I'll take that. Thank you for that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, well, I mean I'm on it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, where are you going? Where are you going?
<v Speaker 1>Where you're gonna go? Threads Blue Sky.
<v Speaker 2>I did try to go to Blue Sky. I think
<v Speaker 2>Blue Sky is nice, but it's only showing me stuff
<v Speaker 2>that like from people I follow. And then I realized, like, god,
<v Speaker 2>some of many people post a dog shit on Oh yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it's just people.
<v Speaker 1>They'll they'll tweet something and then they'll go to Blue
<v Speaker 1>Sky and then they'll tweet the same thing. It's just
<v Speaker 1>it's just a rehash of Also, I couldn't even get
<v Speaker 1>any of my handles. I couldn't get beat him ups
<v Speaker 1>beat him ups would I couldn't get nontendo because before
<v Speaker 1>I even got to the site, everyone was taken. So
<v Speaker 1>I got Woodwalker.
<v Speaker 2>It used to be invite only.
<v Speaker 1>And then I heard everyone was like, no matter what
<v Speaker 1>you like, everyone's like, wow, everything I I blue Sky whatever.
<v Speaker 1>The equivalent of a tweet is everything. I Blue Sky
<v Speaker 1>over here is getting crazy engagement like like never before.
<v Speaker 1>I blue skied a couple of things. It has like
<v Speaker 1>ten likes.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, I'll go like them real quick.
<v Speaker 1>Don't worry, don't worry, don't worry about it.
<v Speaker 2>Don't worry about it.
<v Speaker 1>Let's get let's get back on topic here, all right. So, uh,
<v Speaker 1>just the end of the tweet says further information about
<v Speaker 1>the suscussion in the tennis switch, including his compatibility when
<v Speaker 1>teno switch will be announced at a later date. He
<v Speaker 1>also said, I believe I'm just gonna throw this out there.
<v Speaker 1>I think I saw it. They still are on track
<v Speaker 1>and have these same plans as before to announce the
<v Speaker 1>success to the switch before at the end of March
<v Speaker 1>next year, so like nothing has changed there. That could mean,
<v Speaker 1>you know, they announced it this month, next month, January, February, March,
<v Speaker 1>but at some point up until the end of March,
<v Speaker 1>they still plan to reveal the switch to So either
<v Speaker 1>way were they.
<v Speaker 2>Would announce it like before Christmas. I've been thinking about
<v Speaker 2>this a lot.
<v Speaker 1>That's the question.
<v Speaker 2>Always see, like, guys, it's coming, it's coming next week,
<v Speaker 2>it's coming next month, it's coming this month, And I'm like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I just feel like, wouldn't they want
<v Speaker 2>to like keep some of those which one sales. No,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, like, okay, are you annoyed with me?
<v Speaker 1>No? No, no, no no no no no no no, I'm
<v Speaker 1>not annoyed at all. I'm trying to get my thoughts straight. Sorry,
<v Speaker 1>I forgot you could see me. No, I had nothing
<v Speaker 1>nothing to do with that. It's it's frustrating, and there's
<v Speaker 1>I don't know where to begin with it. But there
<v Speaker 1>was a window where I felt like it did make
<v Speaker 1>sense to reveal it before holiday, and it was around
<v Speaker 1>that late October window or early October window. Sorry, I
<v Speaker 1>can't remember which one. Whenever Tokyo Game Show was around,
<v Speaker 1>Tokyo Game Show would have made I mean, they've got
<v Speaker 1>to reveal it at some point, right, Like there's always
<v Speaker 1>gonna be a do they really want to get in
<v Speaker 1>the way of this or get in the way of that,
<v Speaker 1>or like there's always another holiday season, there's always another Christmas. Like,
<v Speaker 1>at some point they do have to reveal it, right,
<v Speaker 1>And they've had like seven solid years of like holiday sales,
<v Speaker 1>so like you know, releasing it or announcing it in
<v Speaker 1>like October and then doing like a fifty dollars price
<v Speaker 1>drop on the original switch for that holiday season, and
<v Speaker 1>also saying, hey, everything's backwards compatible, so if you want
<v Speaker 1>to pick up a switch in some games this holiday season,
<v Speaker 1>or even just some games for the switch you have,
<v Speaker 1>don't worry. It's all gonna work on the switch too.
<v Speaker 1>There were like ways they could have done that, But
<v Speaker 1>I do feel like now now that we're getting close
<v Speaker 1>to within a month of Christmas, like the actual day,
<v Speaker 1>and most people will have done their Christmas shopping about
<v Speaker 1>this time next month, other than the people that panic
<v Speaker 1>last minute, which is me and maybe you. You seem
<v Speaker 1>like someone that last minute shops. I just get that vibe.
<v Speaker 2>Whoa, yeah, no, no, you're right on the head there, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. But considering most people will probably have their Christmas
<v Speaker 1>shopping planned out by this time next month, I think
<v Speaker 1>now it's too late. I think now it's like that's
<v Speaker 1>kind of random to drop it this close to Christmas.
<v Speaker 1>So at this point I'm starting to think, yeah, we're
<v Speaker 1>not going to see it until February March maybe, which
<v Speaker 1>is then pushing the release date into like full.
<v Speaker 2>And that's what I think, truly. I think that a
<v Speaker 2>fall release like just kind of makes sense, and then
<v Speaker 2>you have the next Christmas just kind of like show
<v Speaker 2>up and blow up.
<v Speaker 1>You know, yeah, I agree, I'll low a summer switch release,
<v Speaker 1>the Super Switched Summer. God, that's like what was Brat Summer?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, Super Souch summer, the Triple S. I could
<v Speaker 2>we could make it a thing.
<v Speaker 1>I could see.
<v Speaker 2>Summer is so slow.
<v Speaker 1>I could see next summer being being Nintendo's Brat summer.
<v Speaker 1>So summers some is slow for a lot of for
<v Speaker 1>like you're saying, like for views on YouTube and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I mean that, but like I don't really have like
<v Speaker 2>data to back this up or anything. But like I
<v Speaker 2>just feel like releases. It's incorrect to say, no.
<v Speaker 1>It's not. But I think that's why it's kind of perfect.
<v Speaker 1>Because my my analytics is always for my Nintendo Themes channel.
<v Speaker 1>Mind you, Summer and winter are always my largest peaks.
<v Speaker 1>And summer is mostly because everybody has time off. It's summer,
<v Speaker 1>so the schools out, people, people get time off work
<v Speaker 1>to go on vacations and stuff like that. But in general,
<v Speaker 1>just summer is such a high peak. And there, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there isn't a ton of stuff that comes out in summer,
<v Speaker 1>which is why it would be a good time to
<v Speaker 1>drop a new console, right because people aren't picking up
<v Speaker 1>holiday releases. People aren't going crazy for all the big
<v Speaker 1>end of the year games. That's what Nintendo has been
<v Speaker 1>hitting on with the March release. That's why they release
<v Speaker 1>the Switch in March is because who releases stuff in
<v Speaker 1>March Nobody? If some is a little quiet. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's some summer blockbusters and you get like E three
<v Speaker 1>around that time. Some it can be pretty big for
<v Speaker 1>some game releases, but it's not too it's not too
<v Speaker 1>crazy like end of the year.
<v Speaker 2>Okay. I mean, so what we're getting at is that
<v Speaker 2>we don't know anything, no, not at all, be coming anytime.
<v Speaker 1>What we're getting at, and you can you can put
<v Speaker 1>it in a web article, document it as a leak
<v Speaker 1>if you want. They will reveal the Switch in March,
<v Speaker 1>and then they will they will release it in Super
<v Speaker 1>Switch brat summer.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, here's mine is they're going to announce it before
<v Speaker 2>the end of the fiscal year, like they said, and
<v Speaker 2>then they're gonna release.
<v Speaker 1>It maybe sometime. Ooh. That's going out on a limb,
<v Speaker 1>and you are risking ruining your entire credibility as an
<v Speaker 1>online creator. But if you're gonna if you're gonna full stop.
<v Speaker 1>It like that I'll see you next year, you know
<v Speaker 1>what I mean, might be our last podcast.
<v Speaker 2>Everything on the line.
<v Speaker 1>Everything's on the line. You're literally what the leakers do
<v Speaker 1>is they're like, the direct will be next month, and
<v Speaker 1>if not next month, probably the one after that, and
<v Speaker 1>if not that, they might just skip it until the
<v Speaker 1>following I love it.
<v Speaker 2>That is actually exactly what they do, and it makes
<v Speaker 2>me so people take it so seriously.
<v Speaker 1>I know, all right, let's let's break this down a
<v Speaker 1>little bit, so it is confirmed backwards compat. So I
<v Speaker 1>for a long time, maybe the first like four years
<v Speaker 1>of the switch was pretty pretty solid on the next
<v Speaker 1>switch isn't going to have backwards compat. I felt that
<v Speaker 1>in my heart and soul because the Switch originally didn't
<v Speaker 1>have that, and that's part of what made it so successful.
<v Speaker 1>And I was like, why would Nintendo want a risk
<v Speaker 1>doing backwards compat again when the WU were such a failure,
<v Speaker 1>you know, didn't work for them. But then we started
<v Speaker 1>this podcast with Bob actually, and Bob was a big
<v Speaker 1>key component in talking me down. We had a lot
<v Speaker 1>of conversations about it and swaying my opinion, and then
<v Speaker 1>the further we went on in the switches lifespan, and
<v Speaker 1>as large as the Switch got with its incredible library,
<v Speaker 1>it did hit a point where it just made so
<v Speaker 1>much sense to me that like they can't just throw
<v Speaker 1>all that away, Like I mean, having it all merge
<v Speaker 1>over is to an extent as selling point to a
<v Speaker 1>new console at this point, and they have a lot
<v Speaker 1>of faith built up, whereas going into the WIU they didn't.
<v Speaker 1>They didn't have a ton of faith from like hardcore gamers.
<v Speaker 1>What did you think? Did you think this was pretty
<v Speaker 1>obvious the whole time?
<v Speaker 2>I just feel like Nintendo Switch Online has been like
<v Speaker 2>getting be Feer and b feer, but so slow that
<v Speaker 2>that was almost an indicator for me. And then like
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, they're just not slowing down with the releases,
<v Speaker 2>like I would expect them to have slowed down at
<v Speaker 2>least like maybe like twenty five percent more than they
<v Speaker 2>have this year if it wasn't going to be backwards.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's a good point.
<v Speaker 2>Like it would have been like a big, like you know,
<v Speaker 2>third party year. I feel like.
<v Speaker 1>That's a good point. I mean, yeah, them really them
<v Speaker 1>supporting the Switch right up till this last year. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sat here with brother brother Ship. You know, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't make sense because this is gonna this is
<v Speaker 1>oh brother there's something about Brothership that's just it's just
<v Speaker 1>asking for roll thirty four? Is that just me because
<v Speaker 1>you're like shipping the brothers?
<v Speaker 2>You know?
<v Speaker 1>What I mean? Is that is that I'm not a
<v Speaker 1>set that I'm.
<v Speaker 2>Gonna stop you right there, buddy. No, I have a
<v Speaker 2>poster of sexy Mario and Luigi.
<v Speaker 1>Can we see that. I haven't locked up locked up,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm lucking key.
<v Speaker 2>Because I started scaring the house a little bit when
<v Speaker 2>they come over.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I kind of get that out on the weekends.
<v Speaker 2>I should bring it out. I should bring it out sometime.
<v Speaker 2>I'll add it to you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, please please do, please do anyway? Sorry, what was
<v Speaker 1>I saying? Yeah, we reas releasing this so close to
<v Speaker 1>the end of the Switch makes you, as you're saying,
<v Speaker 1>makes sense because you can just play this on switch too. Now,
<v Speaker 1>that was my next question to you, and you don't
<v Speaker 1>need to have an answer to it, but I want
<v Speaker 1>to put it out there now that we know for
<v Speaker 1>sure that all these games are going to work on
<v Speaker 1>the Switch too, how many, if any of these games
<v Speaker 1>do we think will Nintendo and third party companies optimize
<v Speaker 1>for a day one patch to take full use of
<v Speaker 1>the hardware. For example, good timing the PlayStation five Pro
<v Speaker 1>is out today and it has fifty games that Sony
<v Speaker 1>and third party developers have optimized to actually get them
<v Speaker 1>most out of the new hardware, because it's not always
<v Speaker 1>the case where you just stick in a game on
<v Speaker 1>better hardware and it runs, looks and plays better. It
<v Speaker 1>might load better, it might look a little better, but
<v Speaker 1>for the most part, especially on the switch, when they
<v Speaker 1>develop a game with the switch in mind, they turn
<v Speaker 1>off settings, right, they turn off shadows, they lower textures,
<v Speaker 1>and that's just how the game is, and you those
<v Speaker 1>things won't get automatically turned back on unless they're optimized
<v Speaker 1>and the new switch in mind. So long way around
<v Speaker 1>saying it, how many, if any games do you think
<v Speaker 1>might be optimized to day day one for the switch to.
<v Speaker 2>Ooh, I don't know. I mean, I think everybody would
<v Speaker 2>like to see Pokemon yeah, a little less dog shit,
<v Speaker 2>but like I feel like it's gonna be Tiers of
<v Speaker 2>the Kingdom, you know, like we yeah, for sure see that.
<v Speaker 2>But like when I'm thinking of hardware upgrades, I'm not
<v Speaker 2>even just thinking like graphical upgrades. I fully expect the
<v Speaker 2>switch to to have a microphone. I don't anybody else
<v Speaker 2>is on this train. I am fully on this train.
<v Speaker 2>I'm fully on the We're bringing generation Yeah. And so
<v Speaker 2>I feel like, you know, there's gonna be certain things
<v Speaker 2>with like perhaps like Fortnite, you know, having that capability,
<v Speaker 2>I suppose and like that. You know, I think that
<v Speaker 2>there's going to be a microphone, and I think we're
<v Speaker 2>going to see some you know, games kind of switch
<v Speaker 2>over to being able to use that without having to
<v Speaker 2>plug in.
<v Speaker 1>No, I think you're right. I think we we looked
<v Speaker 1>at I don't know if you stole the switch leaks
<v Speaker 1>a couple of months ago where they look kind of
<v Speaker 1>just boring, the kind of just look like a normal switch,
<v Speaker 1>and they went like this is the shell of the switch.
<v Speaker 2>To great, that's exactly like what I feel like we need.
<v Speaker 2>We just need it to feel like a little bit better.
<v Speaker 2>Where else can we go with the switch?
<v Speaker 1>Like Queen, the only thing.
<v Speaker 2>I would want to see from Nintendo besides like better
<v Speaker 2>switch would be like another dual screen.
<v Speaker 1>Like yeah, oh you are You're in line with everybody,
<v Speaker 1>believe me. That's the that's the sentiment online. Well, I
<v Speaker 1>can tell you my theory about that too. I think
<v Speaker 1>you'll be able to connect a second switch a second. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we'll switch, but screen, I just get that feeling that's
<v Speaker 1>kind of more of.
<v Speaker 2>A I guess it'll be like a like a stack them.
<v Speaker 2>I think I've seen you talk about that, like stack
<v Speaker 2>in the two screens and then screen.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, to go to go into big We're all over
<v Speaker 1>the place now. But yeah, I have a theory and
<v Speaker 1>it ties into actually the switch one. The switch one
<v Speaker 1>does have a mechanic patent in it where you can
<v Speaker 1>put two switch screens together and they will merge and
<v Speaker 1>they will work together, and that they only used it
<v Speaker 1>one time and that was with Mario Party. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if you remember, but you could lie the switches
<v Speaker 1>down on the table and it would create like a
<v Speaker 1>big game map for mini games. So my theory is
<v Speaker 1>using that and then like you know, you get two switches,
<v Speaker 1>you just connect two screens and then you can do
<v Speaker 1>a DS thing. Beside the point, The point I was
<v Speaker 1>gonna make is in those leaks of the shell, there
<v Speaker 1>was a microphone. I believe there was a microphone, rumor
<v Speaker 1>that it was gonna have a mic, so let's get
<v Speaker 1>that was Kim's first thing. She was like, attend dog.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, no, Like, let's fucking go balls to the walls.
<v Speaker 1>I saw a TikTok of someone that was really sad
<v Speaker 1>and they were like, getting older is realizing that when
<v Speaker 1>you load up your old nintendogs, they don't respond to
<v Speaker 1>you because they don't recognize the sound of your voice anymore.
<v Speaker 2>Wow, how sad is that sad? Maybe get a real dog?
<v Speaker 1>Jesus, you were saying you wanted nintend dogs.
<v Speaker 2>Good Lord, Like, go, I'm so sad.
<v Speaker 1>M m mmm hmmm. Do you have a real puppy?
<v Speaker 1>You don't have a puppy, do you?
<v Speaker 2>No? No, I have a cat. She's laying here right now.
<v Speaker 2>She loves the sound of my voice. He always just
<v Speaker 2>lays here and stares at me.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of people on YouTube, you can go check
<v Speaker 1>out list of the lasts channel it Liz the Last,
<v Speaker 1>Oh my God, and also follow her Twitter. She posts
<v Speaker 1>daily one last thing with this tweet, just to dissect
<v Speaker 1>it as much as possible. No ten'na switch online will
<v Speaker 1>be available on the success of the switch as well.
<v Speaker 1>This is really cool and exciting. They were already said
<v Speaker 1>if you remember, I don't know where it is right now,
<v Speaker 1>but there's a graph they showed years ago of their
<v Speaker 1>plan to migrate Nintendo Switch systems and the successor to
<v Speaker 1>the Switch. At the time, it just said success to
<v Speaker 1>Switch twenty xx. The release date was unknown and it
<v Speaker 1>was in the bracket of switch implying that the ecosystem
<v Speaker 1>will carry over to the new one, implying Nintendo Switch
<v Speaker 1>Online for the current switch will be available for the
<v Speaker 1>new Switch. Why this is cool and exciting is because
<v Speaker 1>every Nintendo system they always start over again with everything.
<v Speaker 1>They always do new online stores, new back end UI.
<v Speaker 1>All of that stuff is always new, so you never
<v Speaker 1>get your online stuff carry over. All of the games
<v Speaker 1>you bought on Wei Shop, like your Occeraora time didn't
<v Speaker 1>carry over to the Wu Shop because it was a
<v Speaker 1>whole new infrastructure. It was a whole new shop. Also,
<v Speaker 1>like even accounts didn't really link over, like you had
<v Speaker 1>to make a new account or if you used your
<v Speaker 1>old account, it didn't store any of the old stuff.
<v Speaker 1>It's always a restart, refresh. But with switch to, they
<v Speaker 1>are saying and they are confirming your current account, your
<v Speaker 1>online account that you have now will merge over to
<v Speaker 1>the new switch. Makes a lot of sense considering it's
<v Speaker 1>backwards compatible, and you're not only going to want to
<v Speaker 1>take your physical games, but your digital games and your
<v Speaker 1>whole digital library. You're going to want to plug that
<v Speaker 1>in day one and just start downloading all the games
<v Speaker 1>you had.
<v Speaker 2>And that makes a lot of sense to me too,
<v Speaker 2>Like there's like a lot of infrastructure I feel like
<v Speaker 2>outside of video games with the whole like my Nintendo account,
<v Speaker 2>Like when you go to the Nintendo Store, you can
<v Speaker 2>like buzz yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I've never done that. Point Yeah, yeah you can.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, I did it. I need to help me when
<v Speaker 2>I went because it was really confusing. But like you know,
<v Speaker 2>with the whole app thing and everything, I just I
<v Speaker 2>want to see them not abandon it. Even though it's
<v Speaker 2>not the best technology in the whole world right now,
<v Speaker 2>I would like to see it become a lot better.
<v Speaker 2>And I feel like they've really been working hard on
<v Speaker 2>like getting the app less archaic, yeah, and doing a
<v Speaker 2>lot of stuff in real life. Like I think if
<v Speaker 2>you go there was like like a Pickman Sushi or
<v Speaker 2>a Piman boba, and you can get my Nintendo points
<v Speaker 2>if you go to those restaurants and things like I
<v Speaker 2>think I've seen that. I've been meaning to go get
<v Speaker 2>the Pickman sushi and eat all the little pickmen.
<v Speaker 1>Just double them all up. I'm the bus now. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad they're getting better with all of that stuff
<v Speaker 1>and then e merging everything together. I think it's really cool.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how the parks work, like the Universal Parks,
<v Speaker 1>but it would be cool if you could take your
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo account to the to the parks. I didn't notice
<v Speaker 1>that in Japan, but imagine if you.
<v Speaker 2>Could, like, oh, it's all on the Universal app there.
<v Speaker 1>Which it would be cool if you could scan in
<v Speaker 1>your Nintendo app though at some of the rides or
<v Speaker 1>whatever and earn points, or if they could just connect
<v Speaker 1>everything like that, like the world of Nintendo all in one.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I haven't ever looked into that or
<v Speaker 2>tried it, so I might be incorrect in saying that.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think they have I don't think they do.
<v Speaker 2>All in the band and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the
<v Speaker 2>Universal phone out.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like my stickers.
<v Speaker 2>I've been a couple of times and I've been racking
<v Speaker 2>up those stickers.
<v Speaker 1>I got the bands right behind me super World.
<v Speaker 2>Oh you got bands?
<v Speaker 1>I got bands, I got bands on bands.
<v Speaker 2>I got fucking bands on bands.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, coueen. We are already missing one between
<v Speaker 1>us or two. I think think there's two between us.
<v Speaker 1>I think we're missing Mario.
<v Speaker 2>You didn't get Mario.
<v Speaker 1>No, I don't care. I don't like Mario. I'm a
<v Speaker 1>Luigi guy. I've never liked Mario, like as a character.
<v Speaker 1>I've never liked Mario. Is that weird?
<v Speaker 2>That's very interesting. Yeah, it's just like.
<v Speaker 1>He's just like a fat plumber guy like Luigi's my man.
<v Speaker 2>Hm, I'm trying to pull up the app, but I
<v Speaker 2>don't don't have Sorry, it would have been really impressive
<v Speaker 2>if I could have shown you guys all my stickers,
<v Speaker 2>because yeah, I've been a couple of times, man, and
<v Speaker 2>not gonna lie. It's so super fun, and I like
<v Speaker 2>all that app stuff. I think it's I want to
<v Speaker 2>see them do more with the Nintendo Online app, you know,
<v Speaker 2>things like that.
<v Speaker 1>It's not because I like Luigi content. Stop. Although I
<v Speaker 1>am shipping Brothership, I am shipping Mario Luigi in Rule
<v Speaker 1>thirty four.
<v Speaker 2>I know you've already mentioned some.
<v Speaker 1>Send them to me. Oh, the only thing. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>finish my train of thought with the optimized games. I
<v Speaker 1>guess I'll give my take on that really quickly. I
<v Speaker 1>saw some people in chat had some funny comments. One
<v Speaker 1>person said every game would be optimized other than Scarlet
<v Speaker 1>and Violet, which I like that. Someone said not at all.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, it's weird. I don't know if Nintendo does,
<v Speaker 1>because Nintendo really doesn't care about graphics and like they
<v Speaker 1>just never really cared about the way a game looks
<v Speaker 1>and play and plays in the sense of its performance.
<v Speaker 1>They're just they were like, is our game fun? Can
<v Speaker 1>you play it?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>That's all that matters. But you know, I think they
<v Speaker 1>would want their console to look good and to look
<v Speaker 1>like competitive, right like in the marketplace, especially when you
<v Speaker 1>have like the PlayStation Pro would just come out. It'd
<v Speaker 1>be cool if they did, Like there was a rumor
<v Speaker 1>at a games Com a couple of years ago that
<v Speaker 1>they had on whatever hardware they were creating for the
<v Speaker 1>switch to Tier's Breath of the Wild running at four K.
<v Speaker 1>It would be cool if they just did that, like launch,
<v Speaker 1>like as you were saying, Tis of the Kingdom in
<v Speaker 1>like a higher resolution maybe an AI upscaled resolution at
<v Speaker 1>sixty frames or something. Just to just like a select
<v Speaker 1>like five or ten games. That would be a really
<v Speaker 1>it's also a selling point, right because people that might
<v Speaker 1>not pick up the Switch too, because they're like, I've
<v Speaker 1>already got the Switch one and it has all the
<v Speaker 1>same games, and I don't need weether the launch games
<v Speaker 1>it comes with. It'd be an extra selling point to
<v Speaker 1>be like, but all your games, or at least the
<v Speaker 1>big ones that you like, will look and play better,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like Mario Odyssey will be like four K
<v Speaker 1>or something that might encourage some people to go pick
<v Speaker 1>it up. So I do hope they do.
<v Speaker 2>Some people not me. I don't. I haven't really like
<v Speaker 2>hopped on like the four K thing yet. I just
<v Speaker 2>still feel like, you know, I don't need that. I
<v Speaker 2>don't have four K TV. I don't really like need
<v Speaker 2>all of that technology. And I feel like when you're
<v Speaker 2>saying like Nintendo doesn't like care about what their games
<v Speaker 2>look like, they I think they just have like this
<v Speaker 2>understand of art style over yeah yeahs, you know, like
<v Speaker 2>with Breath of the Wild, Tiers the Kingdom, those they're
<v Speaker 2>not going for like ultra realistic looking, you know, they're
<v Speaker 2>going for more like a painting kind of art style.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like, and like with Brothership, I know that
<v Speaker 2>was made with an unreal engine, right, but has such
<v Speaker 2>a distinct, cool, interesting art style. You know. I just
<v Speaker 2>think that they're more so focused on that to make
<v Speaker 2>up for the lack of like big beefy hardware that
<v Speaker 2>the Switch has. You know you are, Yeah, definitely we
<v Speaker 2>need that hardware upgrades, like for sure with the next console,
<v Speaker 2>and it's for sure happening, but I would rather it
<v Speaker 2>be an affordable console. And I think that's always been
<v Speaker 2>like the hugest selling point Switch.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. No, you're hitting on You're heading on all the points. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean you you you clarified, smart, Smart, No, you
<v Speaker 1>clarified what I meant by that, Like Nintender recently dropped
<v Speaker 1>a couple well, no, they had an interview and then
<v Speaker 1>they got turned into a couple articles. What I meant
<v Speaker 1>was that they they themselves talked about how they don't
<v Speaker 1>care about the race to four K or one hundred
<v Speaker 1>and twenty frames. All they really care about is making
<v Speaker 1>fun experiences. When I say they don't care about graphics, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't.
<v Speaker 2>Think about four K graphics.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, yeah, game Freak. I'm talking about game Freak
<v Speaker 1>and four K Graphics. Obviously they care about making their
<v Speaker 1>games look very pretty, and their games do look very pretty. Thanks.
<v Speaker 1>Thanks for clarifying that, because I probably would have heard
<v Speaker 1>about it in the comments.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, no, I knew what you were saying, but
<v Speaker 2>like you know, it's important to clarify because some people
<v Speaker 2>are gonna just like take what you said and run
<v Speaker 2>a thousand miles that way, you.
<v Speaker 1>Know, Oh, that's every day, every Yeah, it's funny. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>had we had a TikTok a viral me and Kim
<v Speaker 1>a little bit. I haven't checked it in a couple
<v Speaker 1>of days, but it had like six hundred thousand views
<v Speaker 1>the last I looked at it on the Old Talk
<v Speaker 1>and it it was me and her from the Halloween
<v Speaker 1>episode sat dressed as Marvel and Black Canary talking about
<v Speaker 1>Marvel and DC character equivalents because I was like, who's
<v Speaker 1>Spider Man's counterpart in DC? And so we had this
<v Speaker 1>whole back and forth talking about that, and then all
<v Speaker 1>the comments were like who gave these two a microphone?
<v Speaker 1>Who gave them the right to talk about comic books?
<v Speaker 1>Like they're so uninformed in Marvel and DC, and like
<v Speaker 1>it's so funny because like, if you don't know who
<v Speaker 1>we are and you see us sat there in Marvel outfits,
<v Speaker 1>you might think it's some kind of like comic book podcast,
<v Speaker 1>but it's a Nintendo podcast. And for a second we
<v Speaker 1>started talking about comic books and everyone's like they know
<v Speaker 1>nothing about Marvel and DC.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I know that was the whole conversation.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. See, if you would have asked me that question,
<v Speaker 2>it would have been a total dead end. Like, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know anything. I like the the Sam Raimi movies,
<v Speaker 2>the Spider Man movies.
<v Speaker 1>I used to read the comics when I was like
<v Speaker 1>in my teen Yes, but yeah, I pretty much only
<v Speaker 1>know about the movies. Most of my hero and knowledge
<v Speaker 1>comes from the movies.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, no, I've seen a lot of them, but
<v Speaker 2>not huge into it, not at all. Yeah, I no,
<v Speaker 2>that sucks. I hate when things go and have a
<v Speaker 2>life of their own elsewhere online.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. The thing is though, the out of context, and
<v Speaker 1>it's annoying. The out of context is how it gets views.
<v Speaker 1>The engagement in people commenting they know nothing about Marvel
<v Speaker 1>is what made it blow up. Like the frustrating thing
<v Speaker 1>watching it as a fan of the comic books. Seeing
<v Speaker 1>us get things wrong is what makes the video do
<v Speaker 1>so well. But in reality, we weren't trying to do that.
<v Speaker 1>We were just talking about Marvel for a second. It's
<v Speaker 1>so funny.
<v Speaker 2>It's a conundrum.
<v Speaker 1>It's a conundrum. What are we gonna do? I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna look at this tweet. You mentioned that this
<v Speaker 1>was they tweeted this announcement out on such a weird day.
<v Speaker 1>They tweeted it out the day of the election.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, and the day after the election or the day of.
<v Speaker 1>It was, remember it was it was the day of
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure because I was sat there watching it
<v Speaker 1>all come in and I retweeted this while we were
<v Speaker 1>finding out who was going to be president. And this
<v Speaker 1>is from Nintendo's president. And you know, I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to get too into everything. It's very fresh. Like we've
<v Speaker 1>all in America and the world, we've all been through
<v Speaker 1>hell in these days. It's been a rough couple of days. Sure,
<v Speaker 1>without going into any of it too much, and your
<v Speaker 1>views of your views whatever, We Kim and I were
<v Speaker 1>sat there pretty distraught, and so I tweeted the only
<v Speaker 1>presidential announcement I needed today because that's the only one
<v Speaker 1>I needed at that point. I didn't need another one.
<v Speaker 1>This was the one I wanted, and uh, I thought
<v Speaker 1>that was a bang of tweet. It actually got a
<v Speaker 1>lot of likes, but there were people in the comments
<v Speaker 1>legitimately upset and people saying things like not funny, for
<v Speaker 1>people losing, fearing their riots, and a lot of that
<v Speaker 1>stuff was really heartbreaking to me as I sat there
<v Speaker 1>as a pretty pretty clearly, pretty clearly as who I
<v Speaker 1>voted for person, I was like, really, you're gonna, am
<v Speaker 1>I not the only one that's trying to deal with
<v Speaker 1>this through humor?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, and and no matter what, there's just always going
<v Speaker 2>to be like those kind of dissenters online that you
<v Speaker 2>know are just gonna have a problem with that kind
<v Speaker 2>of stuff. And that's fine, you know they They're just
<v Speaker 2>there's always going to be those people like this is whatever,
<v Speaker 2>this is funny.
<v Speaker 1>This is truly the only presidential announcement I needed at
<v Speaker 1>that point. Truly.
<v Speaker 2>It was nice. It was kind of a nice little break.
<v Speaker 1>It was nice. It was a gift a little.
<v Speaker 2>Ifs when I was literally there voting, so I was like,
<v Speaker 2>oh cool, a.
<v Speaker 1>Little presidential gift from from somebody with a with a
<v Speaker 1>red theme that I actually appreciated. Mm hmm, go get
<v Speaker 1>that postera.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, It's like I would have to like go through
<v Speaker 2>my store. Wait, like, are you kidding me? That's crazy?
<v Speaker 2>You want me to go do it right now? That's insane.
<v Speaker 1>No, it's fine.
<v Speaker 2>Can you imagine though, if we just came out like
<v Speaker 2>all maggot, that'd be like really crazy, Like all of
<v Speaker 2>a sudden, we were like, hey, guys, guess what. Guess
<v Speaker 2>who you voted for today? I your podcast is themed red?
<v Speaker 1>Like if you went if you were like, Okay, I'll
<v Speaker 1>go get the poster and you just come back with
<v Speaker 1>a maga hat.
<v Speaker 2>I really go get it if you want. But you
<v Speaker 2>only have a couple more minutes with me anyways.
<v Speaker 1>So no, no, no, no, no, how much how much more
<v Speaker 1>time do I have with you?
<v Speaker 2>Ten more minutes?
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's do this quickly then, mm hmmmm. Nintend
<v Speaker 1>Deal tweeted this out. I don't know if they made
<v Speaker 1>this graft themselves. It doesn't matter. Where's Nintendo switch year
<v Speaker 1>is your favorite? And then they've listed seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty,
<v Speaker 1>twenty three, twenty four, and then each category has all
<v Speaker 1>the games that came out for that year. Now is
<v Speaker 1>a little hard to see, and they're also very blurry
<v Speaker 1>when you zoom in. But yes, off the top of
<v Speaker 1>your head, I don't know if you can see this.
<v Speaker 1>You might need to pull it up on your phone.
<v Speaker 1>But off the top of your head, what year do
<v Speaker 1>you think is your favorite?
<v Speaker 2>My favorite would probably be.
<v Speaker 1>Whatever year Animal Crossing came out. Yeah, that was going
<v Speaker 1>to be my guess for you. So your year, your
<v Speaker 1>year has Mario Cut Circuit three D All Stars, Pickman
<v Speaker 1>one and two Deluxe. I believe that is or is
<v Speaker 1>that three? I can't really tell. It's so blurry.
<v Speaker 2>That was the Pickment three okay, yeah, Ticking.
<v Speaker 1>Three, de Xeno Blade Chronicles, the good one, the first one,
<v Speaker 1>Clubhouse Games Paper Mario. I didn't really enjoy that one
<v Speaker 1>final Fire emblem on care whatever that WEU game was,
<v Speaker 1>and didn't much care for that either. Uh, Pokemon Mystery
<v Speaker 1>Dungeon didn't much care for that either, and then Animal Crossing,
<v Speaker 1>so I.
<v Speaker 2>Didn't play anything on there besides Crossing kick in three
<v Speaker 2>and I played that on wu oh.
<v Speaker 1>That's funny, and that was It's still you're still gonna
<v Speaker 1>lock that in is your favorite year?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Okay, let's go. Let's go. Okay, twenty twenty one,
<v Speaker 2>I you know, I mean the Diamond and Pearl, this
<v Speaker 2>was so well, yeah, remakes I like gb Okay, I
<v Speaker 2>honestly didn't think.
<v Speaker 1>They were girl girl. Okay, I want to talk about that.
<v Speaker 1>We'll keep that one down.
<v Speaker 2>And then yeah, no, kind of gonna skip over. Twenty
<v Speaker 2>twenty won me Topia, I guess, and then Forgotten Land.
<v Speaker 2>Twenty twenty two Archias Scarlet and Violet. Scarlet and Violet
<v Speaker 2>was a tough one for me because I just hated
<v Speaker 2>how ugly it was so much. But I really did
<v Speaker 2>like Archias. So maybe twenty twenty two would actually be
<v Speaker 2>a year that I would say banger goded year. What
<v Speaker 2>about you?
<v Speaker 1>You know I didn't look at this beforehand. I'm looking
<v Speaker 1>at it now. Let me go through them a little
<v Speaker 1>bit here. So twenty seventeen obviously a banger year. First year,
<v Speaker 1>Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, Mario and Rabbits, Mario
<v Speaker 1>Cott eight, Deluxe, Splittoon three. We won't talk about arms
<v Speaker 1>Snipper clips is whatever. Xanno Blade two does drag that
<v Speaker 1>column down quite a lot.
<v Speaker 2>Armspan not a huge arms I.
<v Speaker 1>Have huge No, I don't really not a huge MS fan.
<v Speaker 1>Twenty eighteen we had a bad Super Mario party. We
<v Speaker 1>had the Bayonetta one and two, Donkey Kong aces. Let's
<v Speaker 1>go labor Na. That's a bad year. That's a rough year.
<v Speaker 1>Not a bad year, it's just a rough year. Nineteen
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Sword and Shield. Luigian mentioned three Lynks Awakening and
<v Speaker 1>the light would have come out. Fire Emblem Warriors is
<v Speaker 1>pretty huge for me. Super Mario Maker two Yoshi, that's
<v Speaker 1>a pretty big year. Oh, actual Chain was also pretty big.
<v Speaker 1>Right now, I'd say seventeen still better. I'm gonna go
<v Speaker 1>to twenty twenty. We already looked at this Zeno Blade,
<v Speaker 1>Animal Crossing. Those are pretty big right now. Seventeen and
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty are pretty tired for me. Twenty one the
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon games. We talked about, Mutopia, Mario three D, Metroid Dreads,
<v Speaker 1>Skyward Sword, Skyward Sword. We Skyward Sword in this too. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Twenty one No, I'm still in twenty one.
<v Speaker 2>Seem like the blurrious photo I have ever seen here.
<v Speaker 2>I know, I know, really, I am just grasping at
<v Speaker 2>straws here.
<v Speaker 1>Twenty twenty two, uh, Sino Blade three right three Scarlet
<v Speaker 1>and Violet buy ne a three Ocius or that's a
<v Speaker 1>good year. That's a good year too. So I met
<v Speaker 1>seventeen twenty and twenty twenty two, twenty.
<v Speaker 2>Three, twenty three might be actually up there for Banger
<v Speaker 2>because I loved Wonder, I loved the king and I
<v Speaker 2>did actually buy the pigmin one and two on the Switch.
<v Speaker 2>I bought it digital though, so I in my mind,
<v Speaker 2>I don't own it, and then two's of the Kingdom, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Twos of the Kingdom and Metroy Primary Master.
<v Speaker 2>Super Mario RPP. See here's the thing.
<v Speaker 1>Didn't I still haven't played it.
<v Speaker 2>There's yes, I bought it, and I still haven't really
<v Speaker 2>played that much. And it's just like, dude, there's just
<v Speaker 2>so much coming out. I know, I am still so
<v Speaker 2>behind anything with all the irritating conversation the other day
<v Speaker 2>with somebody irl and they were talking about the Switch.
<v Speaker 2>They were like, yeah, man, like there's just really hasn't
<v Speaker 2>been like a lot coming out, Like I've I feel like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, the console's kind of like dying and they
<v Speaker 2>were kind of like a PlayStation bro. Yeah, I was
<v Speaker 2>sitting there getting so irritated. Oh, like the fuck, Like,
<v Speaker 2>I just like, I know that so much, and you're
<v Speaker 2>irritating me so bad because I'm like, I have so
<v Speaker 2>many games on my shelf that I still have yet
<v Speaker 2>to fully dive in.
<v Speaker 1>It's insane. The library is insane, and then you look
<v Speaker 1>at the PlayStation library and it's bare bones comparatively. And
<v Speaker 1>also every PlayStation exclusive game is always it's always like
<v Speaker 1>a third person over the shoulder action game always like
<v Speaker 1>and then Nintendo you have such this wide spread the
<v Speaker 1>final year here Mario and Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion, two,
<v Speaker 1>Endless Ocean, Mario Jamboree. Yeah, I can't give it to
<v Speaker 1>twenty four. I'm really tired here. I'm really tied between
<v Speaker 1>twenty three, twenty two, and seventeen.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like twenty three has got to be top
<v Speaker 2>for me. Actually, I'm gonna.
<v Speaker 1>Say I'm leaning towards twenty three.
<v Speaker 2>I just feel like you had two games that were like,
<v Speaker 2>arguably some of the best games released that whole year. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>some of okay, chill out, Calm down, like you know
<v Speaker 2>what I mean, like chill out, but like I'm off,
<v Speaker 2>I wonder arguably like amazing game and then Tears of
<v Speaker 2>the Kingdom. I mean, everybody has their own think pieces
<v Speaker 2>on it and everything.
<v Speaker 1>But PIM four and Pick My Fall was great and
<v Speaker 1>Metro I am, we can't. I haven't mentioned fire them Engaged,
<v Speaker 1>but I didn't like it.
<v Speaker 2>Oh I I've never played any fire emblem games. I know,
<v Speaker 2>I really, I really would love to.
<v Speaker 1>But Three Houses was awesome. I really liked Three Houses.
<v Speaker 1>Did not care for Engage. I'm I'm gonna lucky in
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty three, which is actually crazy considering it's such
<v Speaker 1>a recent year in such a long lifespan of a console. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's my luck. Oh yeah, are we both saying that? Wow?
<v Speaker 2>Locking in?
<v Speaker 1>Wow? And let me just check. Oh we're right? Actually
<v Speaker 1>we were right? That is that was the best year.
<v Speaker 2>Good.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I like being right me too. How much time?
<v Speaker 1>Much time do you have?
<v Speaker 2>I to give you?
<v Speaker 1>Three minutes?
<v Speaker 2>Let's do uh, brothership, let's talk about it.
<v Speaker 1>Well, let's talk about as quickly as I can. You can.
<v Speaker 1>You can bail me whenever you want, and I'll just
<v Speaker 1>finish it out.
<v Speaker 2>Well, should I just say bye? I should just say bye?
<v Speaker 2>You guys can talk about brothership, you and chat. Thank
<v Speaker 2>you guys for having me on today. I really appreciate
<v Speaker 2>everybody in chat being so nice. I have been hearing over,
<v Speaker 2>glancing over, and everybody has been very sweet. So thank you,
<v Speaker 2>and then thank you would for the last minute telling
<v Speaker 2>me forty five minutes before the podcast.
<v Speaker 1>Oh you're so welcome, You're so welcome. Yeah, I warn't
<v Speaker 1>thank you for that, you just thank me. Thank you,
<v Speaker 1>Thank you so much, Liz. I really appreciate you. I
<v Speaker 1>was like, you can say that way of you want,
<v Speaker 1>and then immediately all right, bye everybody.
<v Speaker 2>No, I really do gotta go.
<v Speaker 1>I know you do. I know you have an appointment.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Yeah, everyone
<v Speaker 1>check out Liz the Last on YouTube. We had an
<v Speaker 1>episode together on the podcast too in person a while back,
<v Speaker 1>and hopefully, hopefully in actually just a few weeks, we
<v Speaker 1>can do another one in person. I know.
<v Speaker 2>You know what I would really love from you guys
<v Speaker 2>in chat and from you guys watching after the live
<v Speaker 2>show is I would really love if you would comment
<v Speaker 2>and say give some ideas for any topics or anything
<v Speaker 2>that you would like us to cover when we do
<v Speaker 2>our in person episode this month.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, you were just lucking that in, all right, yes,
<v Speaker 1>do that whatever you want me and let's talk about
<v Speaker 1>it in person and a few Remember it'll be around
<v Speaker 1>Thanksgiving time to probably be the Thanksgiving episode, So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>bear that in mind if you have anything along those
<v Speaker 1>lines of being thankful for stuff. Oh yeah, thank you
<v Speaker 1>so much. You can bail on me. I appreciate you
<v Speaker 1>so much.
<v Speaker 2>See you guys later. Thank you so much. A wonderful,
<v Speaker 2>beautiful day. I hope Kim feels better. Everybody wished Kim well.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, I'll catch you guys on the flip side.
<v Speaker 1>Bye. Thank you. Oops, that's not the one I wanted.
<v Speaker 1>Oh now it's just me. Oh, the paranoia sets in.
<v Speaker 1>Never for the first time in non tendo history, it
<v Speaker 1>is just me. This is what I was afraid of.
<v Speaker 1>This is what I panicked about moving the show to
<v Speaker 1>my house. I knew one day the day would come
<v Speaker 1>where Ham wasn't here, Kim would be sick, and I'd
<v Speaker 1>be sat here on my own. All right, I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to entertain you guys myself for the next ten minutes,
<v Speaker 1>which I'm gonna have chat open, relying heavily on you
<v Speaker 1>guys for the conversation. But I'm gonna steamroll ahead with
<v Speaker 1>talking about this Mario and Luigi stuff. And again a
<v Speaker 1>big thank you to Liz for hanging out with us
<v Speaker 1>for as long as she did. She really did jump
<v Speaker 1>on very last minute, and it just means a lot
<v Speaker 1>to me. Liz has actually become one of my really
<v Speaker 1>good friends and she's very, very very sweet. All Right,
<v Speaker 1>we're about to get all pretty annoyed together if you
<v Speaker 1>if you're ready to go on this adventure with me.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see what happens when I hit this. Yeah, that's
<v Speaker 1>what I thought would happen. Liz's screen is still there,
<v Speaker 1>but she's not there. Let me turn that off, all right.
<v Speaker 1>So I didn't get a chance to talk about this.
<v Speaker 1>I think this review came in a good week ago
<v Speaker 1>at this point, but I'm going somewhere with it, so
<v Speaker 1>give me a second. I've hit not allow on this,
<v Speaker 1>get the latest from IGN click I'm in, then allowed notifications,
<v Speaker 1>no thanks, and it comes right back. This is literally
<v Speaker 1>me on Twitter for the last two months, hitting I'm
<v Speaker 1>not interested in the Trump ads and then immediately refreshing
<v Speaker 1>and they're just there again. Mediocre with a five on
<v Speaker 1>IGN A five now without pulling up all the reviews
<v Speaker 1>of other outlets, from this game, they were all pretty high,
<v Speaker 1>and again I haven't played it, and it's also not
<v Speaker 1>like necessarily my kind of game. I love RPGs, but
<v Speaker 1>sometimes the Mario ones feel a little bit too like
<v Speaker 1>kiddish for me, and I get I have a hard
<v Speaker 1>time getting into the battle mechanics, and the story is
<v Speaker 1>usually pretty pretty I mean mediocre, like IGN says here.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know. I might personally agree with a five. However,
<v Speaker 1>I think at some point you have to remove your
<v Speaker 1>own opinion, not your own opinion, but your own preference
<v Speaker 1>for a game out of the picture when you review something. Right.
<v Speaker 1>For example, let's think of a really big game that
<v Speaker 1>I don't really like that all lot people do Mario
<v Speaker 1>sixty four. Not A huge fan of Mario sixty four.
<v Speaker 1>My opinion of it and my preference for it is
<v Speaker 1>pretty low. But I'm not an idiot. I know the
<v Speaker 1>game is great. I can see why people loved it,
<v Speaker 1>especially at the time. If I was to rank it
<v Speaker 1>realistically in video games of all time, I'm putting it
<v Speaker 1>in the top echelon, you know what I mean. It's
<v Speaker 1>just my preference for if i'd want to play it
<v Speaker 1>on my off time is pretty low. I I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I've got to play the game myself, but I do
<v Speaker 1>wonder if this is a logan plant. The guy that
<v Speaker 1>reviewed this, his preference for it is just pretty low,
<v Speaker 1>because when you have so many nines across the board
<v Speaker 1>and then one five as a standout, it's pretty telling.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like that's my opinion. But let's read what
<v Speaker 1>they say apart from its great battle system. Oh well,
<v Speaker 1>that's actually exciting to me because I need the battlesystem
<v Speaker 1>to be great for me to enjoy it. What do
<v Speaker 1>you not like about an RPG? If the bat systems
<v Speaker 1>all right, Maria and Luigi Brothership is incredibly disappointing revival?
<v Speaker 1>How can you I'm already pissed off. I'm already peeved.
<v Speaker 1>How do you go from this? Rpg has a great
<v Speaker 1>battle system, but it's incredibly disappointing suffers from boring gameplay.
<v Speaker 1>The gameplay is the battle system and boring dialogue. Now
<v Speaker 1>that I'll believe, I'm sorry. Maybe I will one hundred
<v Speaker 1>percent correct the record once I've played it again. I
<v Speaker 1>only came out today and I don't get earlier review
<v Speaker 1>codes for nothing, But I fully believe this has bloated
<v Speaker 1>boring dialogue because every every Nintendo game seems too sorry
<v Speaker 1>about that. Not everyone, I mean Zelda didn't, but I do.
<v Speaker 1>I do feel like, especially third party Nintendo games end
<v Speaker 1>up having a lot of bloated dialogue. I feel like
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo themselves, in house Nintendo do a good job at
<v Speaker 1>cutting down on bloated dialogue in their games, but like Zelda,
<v Speaker 1>Tears of the Kingdom had so much bloated dialogue it
<v Speaker 1>was it was developed by a third party. Forgot the
<v Speaker 1>name offhand, but man, they had so much bloated dialogue
<v Speaker 1>it didn't needed that. I skipped through and missed nothing
<v Speaker 1>by doing so. So I do believe that a bloated runtime.
<v Speaker 1>How long is it? Chat? Somebody let me know. I'd
<v Speaker 1>like to know how long it is? Shockingly bad performance.
<v Speaker 1>It's hard not to believe that too. I mean, this
<v Speaker 1>is an unreal engine. Then it's a switch game. A
<v Speaker 1>switch game in twenty twenty four probably does have bad performance.
<v Speaker 1>But we're just taking their word for it here. I'm
<v Speaker 1>trying to be as generous as possible to their opinion
<v Speaker 1>and a fundamental misunderstanding of what made the series great.
<v Speaker 1>Can't speak for that, haven't played it. It's funny that.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, so, I guess their complaints are the dial
<v Speaker 1>I don't get the boring gameplay if you say the
<v Speaker 1>battle system is great, because to me, that is the gameplay.
<v Speaker 1>But maybe there's more to the gameplay, bloated runtime. So
<v Speaker 1>they thought it was too long, it performed bad, and
<v Speaker 1>it was boring in their opinion, had a great battle system. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>all right, I mean, I what what can I say?
<v Speaker 1>I haven't played it. I might agree, I doubt I will,
<v Speaker 1>just based on all the other reviews, but uh, I
<v Speaker 1>haven't played it, so what can I say. The funny
<v Speaker 1>thing is, though IGN Spain, I think Spain, Espanion, Espana,
<v Speaker 1>IGN on Twitter, underscore es did their review. So a
<v Speaker 1>foreign IGN, obviously under the same bracket, gave it a nine.
<v Speaker 1>So a different IGN gave it a nine. Now I
<v Speaker 1>want to I want to read this because I translated it,
<v Speaker 1>but it's so. It's this is, I think, is what
<v Speaker 1>highlights what's wrong. Not wrong, but the issue with companies
<v Speaker 1>like IGN. So when you watch I don't really review things, don't.
<v Speaker 1>I don't critically review things really on my channel. I
<v Speaker 1>don't give things a score out of ten or anything
<v Speaker 1>like that. But with like YouTubers like I that do
<v Speaker 1>review things and give things a score, you can kind
<v Speaker 1>of predict and have a pretty good assessment for what
<v Speaker 1>that individual reviewer likes and what they'll typically score things at,
<v Speaker 1>and you can get a vibe for that person. But
<v Speaker 1>when IGN does it, it's so all over the place
<v Speaker 1>because they have so many people working there and different
<v Speaker 1>people take different reviews. There's a whole team of people.
<v Speaker 1>You have all different people reviewing Nintendo games, PlayStation games,
<v Speaker 1>and they all have different opinions. So you know, the
<v Speaker 1>guy that was relegated to reviewing Brothership gave it a five,
<v Speaker 1>but if they had put on ninety percent of their
<v Speaker 1>other team to play and review it, it most likely
<v Speaker 1>would have gottenn eight or nine like all the other outlets.
<v Speaker 1>It's just the person they got gave it a five,
<v Speaker 1>and that's why you have these inconsistencies because the team
<v Speaker 1>at IGN espaniol it was a different person. They gave
<v Speaker 1>it a nine. So you have the same outlet in
<v Speaker 1>different regions giving it different scores, which, you know, it
<v Speaker 1>is what it is. It's it's it's how this system works,
<v Speaker 1>It's how this system plays out. It's just peop different
<v Speaker 1>people with different opinions. But it's also to me why
<v Speaker 1>I personally can't take IGN too seriously. Like a score
<v Speaker 1>they give means nothing to me because it's like who
<v Speaker 1>gave that score, and like you can you can dive
<v Speaker 1>into it and you can follow it closely and be like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>well I know it was IGN, So who actually reviewed it? Oh,
<v Speaker 1>this guy or this gal. I like them. I like
<v Speaker 1>their scores. Okay, I take this more seriously or whatever.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not that invested. I just see IGN gave this
<v Speaker 1>a nine because the water was too wet, or the
<v Speaker 1>water was wet enough, or it made me feel like Batman.
<v Speaker 1>And then oh, IGN gave this a five because I
<v Speaker 1>didn't feel like Batman enough. Know anyway, let's read this
<v Speaker 1>down here. I also want to point out I've translated this,
<v Speaker 1>but I thought it was funny because I was reading
<v Speaker 1>it and I was like, oh, I can actually kind
<v Speaker 1>of read it. Haven't taken a day of Spanish in
<v Speaker 1>my life. Also, I'm from Australia, so forgive me. I've
<v Speaker 1>never really had a chance to look I've never really
<v Speaker 1>looked at it and like, given it, you know, given
<v Speaker 1>Spanish a chance. But it's so close to it. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>English is derived from this language and so many other languages.
<v Speaker 1>Just funny to me, then let me give it a shot.
<v Speaker 1>Mario Luigi Connection Fraternal, which, by the way, very funny
<v Speaker 1>that the Espanol translation of brothership is connectionon fraternal, so
<v Speaker 1>fraternal connection just backwards. So two brothers, so a brothership.
<v Speaker 1>It's so literal. I don't know why I find it
<v Speaker 1>very funny. Fraternal like, I don't know, I kind of
<v Speaker 1>I have a brother and sister, and I feel like
<v Speaker 1>I want to change our discord group chat to connection Fraternal,
<v Speaker 1>Like that's why we're here, right, We're connected fraternally? Why
<v Speaker 1>else are we in this chat? I don't know, I
<v Speaker 1>find I don't know some reason I find it very funny.
<v Speaker 1>Mario and Luigi Connection Fraternal is an RPG adventure game
<v Speaker 1>for Nintendo Switch Something Something narrative charismatic personalities. The narrative
<v Speaker 1>has charismatic personalities and humor in Canton, in Canton, in canting,
<v Speaker 1>enchanting humor. The Jajadores juxtaposition. Now that's too big the Jadores, hmm,
<v Speaker 1>don't know that. One exploration Different aisles, Exploration different aisles,
<v Speaker 1>You explore different islands. Something puzzles. So let's say solve
<v Speaker 1>puzzles and participate in combat per per to cause timing
<v Speaker 1>using timing, you participate in combat using timing. I'm on it.
<v Speaker 1>I this actually makes me want to learn Spanish because
<v Speaker 1>I feel like it's I don't want to say easy.
<v Speaker 1>Learning language is hard, but of all the languages to learn,
<v Speaker 1>this has to be one of the easiest ones. If
<v Speaker 1>you already speak English. Now now let me read the
<v Speaker 1>translation and be completely wrong. And I know a lot
<v Speaker 1>of comments are going to be like, wow, we're just
<v Speaker 1>realized how easy it is to read Spanish, and they're
<v Speaker 1>going to meme on me. I've never tried, all right,
<v Speaker 1>I want to stress again. Grew up in Australia. That
<v Speaker 1>wasn't an option for us. I learned my options for
<v Speaker 1>language learning in Australian high school was German and I
<v Speaker 1>want to say, Chinese, maybe Japanese, I don't remember, but
<v Speaker 1>I picked German and that was also relatively easy for
<v Speaker 1>the same reason because so many words are borrowed from
<v Speaker 1>European language. All right, so the actual translation is uh
<v Speaker 1>Mario Luigi Brotherly Connection HMM is an adventure RPG for
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Switch, known for his quick pace storytelling. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>get quick paced. Oh. Q Q means time. Kim taught
<v Speaker 1>me that. Q order s time. Oh if I was
<v Speaker 1>thinking I would have got that, uh quick pace storytelling, Actually,
<v Speaker 1>I probably wouldn't have time and story and time and
<v Speaker 1>narrative narrativer it says, I probably wouldn't have put that
<v Speaker 1>together time, narrative, quick story. I probably wouldn't have put
<v Speaker 1>that together. Charismatic characters got that and charming humor. Oh
<v Speaker 1>thank you got that too. Place explore various islands, soul puzzles,
<v Speaker 1>and engage in turn based battles. You know what's funny.
<v Speaker 1>I have taken like a year of Japanese and I
<v Speaker 1>still can't read Japanese. You put that, you put a
<v Speaker 1>paragraph of Japanese in front of me, wouldn't be able
<v Speaker 1>to tell you a piss, wouldn't be able to tell
<v Speaker 1>you a tiny little bit of it. I just read
<v Speaker 1>a whole paragraph of Spanish without ever looking at Spanish
<v Speaker 1>before in my life. I don't know if I should
<v Speaker 1>be proud of that or extremely disappointed in myself. H
<v Speaker 1>Q means what and that? Oh wait, so what part
<v Speaker 1>of what part of So I thought Q meant time
<v Speaker 1>because Q ors means what time is? It doesn't it?
<v Speaker 1>So Q means what? Okay, well, I didn't know that.
<v Speaker 1>What's the chair of Q being in that sentence when
<v Speaker 1>the sentence was about timing. What part of Q order
<v Speaker 1>ss is time? Then order? All right, we can get
<v Speaker 1>off that. I want to get stuck on that. I
<v Speaker 1>still feel good. I still feel good about what I did.
<v Speaker 1>My my point to it all is nothing. I haven't
<v Speaker 1>played the game yet, so I'm going to check this
<v Speaker 1>out pretty soon. I'll let you guys know that I
<v Speaker 1>bought the PlayStation five today. I installed the disk drive
<v Speaker 1>that I had to buy separately, the eighty dollars disk
<v Speaker 1>drive order. Q order order is our of course it is.
<v Speaker 1>See without writing it down, I was thinking AU are
<v Speaker 1>a order like an Ura order? Okay? Well, learning Spanish
<v Speaker 1>on the Non Tender podcast here. Yeah, So I plugged
<v Speaker 1>in the PlayStation five Pro and immediately wanted me to
<v Speaker 1>and asked me if I wanted to transfer my data
<v Speaker 1>over from my other PlayStation. I said yes. It was
<v Speaker 1>said it would take twenty five hours, but I would
<v Speaker 1>be able to play, I'd be able to use it
<v Speaker 1>in an hour and the rest would be in the background,
<v Speaker 1>so it actually just finished right then. I can see
<v Speaker 1>on the TV it's asking me to press the button
<v Speaker 1>on my controller. So after the episode today, the rest
<v Speaker 1>of my day is going to be probably inserting discs
<v Speaker 1>into my PlayStation Pro and installing games so that I
<v Speaker 1>can start recording footage and doing my own comparisons and
<v Speaker 1>making my own PlayStation five video. I want to try
<v Speaker 1>and get that out in the next day or two.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to take too long on this because
<v Speaker 1>one I don't know how many people care about the Pro,
<v Speaker 1>and two, you know how the internet is. You wait
<v Speaker 1>too long, no one cares anymore. And three I want
<v Speaker 1>to get it out of the way so I can
<v Speaker 1>just start focusing on my Brothership playthrough and try and
<v Speaker 1>get a review of this out in like a week's time.
<v Speaker 1>So very busy boy for me. And then with the
<v Speaker 1>exciting new it was a backwards compatibility, I was excited
<v Speaker 1>to do this podcast today too. So there's a lot
<v Speaker 1>of things right now that are legitimately making me pretty excited.
<v Speaker 1>Between the news about Nintendo and then new hardware, new software,
<v Speaker 1>it's actually a pretty well, it's gonna say a pretty
<v Speaker 1>fun week. It's not been let's be real for a
<v Speaker 1>lot of us, but it has been a pretty fun
<v Speaker 1>week and on the gaming side of things, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to dropping those videos. I had some more
<v Speaker 1>stuff in my doc that I do want to talk about.
<v Speaker 1>Let me look at what those are really quickly. There
<v Speaker 1>was something about Sega. Yeah, there was a couple other things.
<v Speaker 1>But you know what, since Liz has left me and
<v Speaker 1>it's just me here and we hit all of those
<v Speaker 1>big things that I wanted to talk about, we can
<v Speaker 1>probably wrap this up and we can head over into
<v Speaker 1>the Patreon bonus episode, where the Patreons will have to
<v Speaker 1>just deal with me talking to myself, which has happened
<v Speaker 1>once before, and they were very nice and generous about it.
<v Speaker 1>I really appreciate the Patreons a lot. They helped make
<v Speaker 1>this possible. I guess since I have the floor and
<v Speaker 1>we're at the tail end of the podcast and there's
<v Speaker 1>no one here to distract me, I guess I'll just
<v Speaker 1>take a moment. I mean, it's just me and it's
<v Speaker 1>just you guys, so I just want to take this
<v Speaker 1>moment to thank you. This is episode technically seventeen, I
<v Speaker 1>believe of Nontendo Live. When we did the rebrand over
<v Speaker 1>from Nontendo Podcast, we had got to one hundred episodes. Obviously,
<v Speaker 1>we did that one with Bob. Then I think we
<v Speaker 1>ended up doing a couple more off the record episodes
<v Speaker 1>that became one oh one, one oh two or whatever.
<v Speaker 1>So I think we're at like one hundred and twenty
<v Speaker 1>episodes now, and there's still a lot of you that
<v Speaker 1>listen and watch and take part in this show and
<v Speaker 1>part of the community and come back in every week
<v Speaker 1>and tune in and at I want you to know why.
<v Speaker 1>I really appreciate it. It means so much to me
<v Speaker 1>for a lot of reasons. You know, the other stuff
<v Speaker 1>I do online, it's all me. My main show and
<v Speaker 1>everything else, my streams, it's all me, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>really care what happens there, you know, like it's just
<v Speaker 1>it's me doing me. The podcast was me and someone else,
<v Speaker 1>and then it became me and other people, and then
<v Speaker 1>it became me and trying to put someone next to me,
<v Speaker 1>and then it became me and Kim, and that's been
<v Speaker 1>really nice. And I've tried really hard not to make
<v Speaker 1>this show too to me focused, you know, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why I just I wanted it. Oh, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why, but a lot of you still tune in
<v Speaker 1>and you still watch, and you still support, and you're
<v Speaker 1>still trying to enjoy the show in all of the
<v Speaker 1>fragmented ways that it has become and splintered. And I'm
<v Speaker 1>just honestly trying to keep it going and keep it
<v Speaker 1>alive because I love it so much. I love the
<v Speaker 1>community that we build. I love having a podcast to
<v Speaker 1>talk about everything Nintendo that I can't talk about in
<v Speaker 1>my main shows. And I love the community that wants
<v Speaker 1>to be here. It honestly means so much to me,
<v Speaker 1>and I never really get a chance to thank you.
<v Speaker 1>And I know it's constantly changing and evolving and it's
<v Speaker 1>a moving target. And it seems like now we've settled,
<v Speaker 1>we're here, We're in the basement. Hand will be back
<v Speaker 1>next week, Kim will be here. We're going to do
<v Speaker 1>a Thanksgiving episode with Liz. We have some cool things
<v Speaker 1>coming up. The Patreon still helps so much in supporting
<v Speaker 1>the show too, and I would like this show to
<v Speaker 1>still grow.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>My promise to the show is that I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>keep it going in any way that I can. But
<v Speaker 1>in the back of my mind and in my heart,
<v Speaker 1>I would still love the show to grow. I love
<v Speaker 1>the idea of the show having a studio, the show
<v Speaker 1>having its own home, and the show growing out to
<v Speaker 1>be more than just something else I do in my basement.
<v Speaker 1>We just got to get there. We gotta figure out
<v Speaker 1>where the show is at, figure out what we can do.
<v Speaker 1>It's a little harder when I live in rural Pennsylvania
<v Speaker 1>to get a cool studio that people can make it
<v Speaker 1>out too. I also didn't want to shock the show
<v Speaker 1>again by getting a studio right away and trying to
<v Speaker 1>find new crew to help on it. I wanted to
<v Speaker 1>keep it just the people you're familiar with. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>want to keep changing it. But ultimately I hope that
<v Speaker 1>it grows and that it becomes something more. And that's everything.
<v Speaker 1>I just wanted to ramble that out there and make
<v Speaker 1>sure you will know how much I appreciate you. Whether
<v Speaker 1>you're listening, watching, whether you are just on YouTube or
<v Speaker 1>you're a Patreon member, however it is you support the show,
<v Speaker 1>it means a lot and I really appreciate it. And yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's everything I got for you, I think. So we'll
<v Speaker 1>move over to the Patreon episode now and I'll see
<v Speaker 1>everybody else next week with him, hopefully with Kim. You
<v Speaker 1>guys are the best. There's no sound problems this time. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I know, I know, I know. I kind of want
<v Speaker 1>to do like a moment of silence at the start
<v Speaker 1>of every episode, just as like an ongoing bit at
<v Speaker 1>this point. But I am glad we didn't have any
<v Speaker 1>today because I was very stressed when when we got
<v Speaker 1>liz in, I had to redo the obs to like
<v Speaker 1>fit her and like have her audio, and it was
<v Speaker 1>a mad panic and I'm glad it all worked. Dragonheart,
<v Speaker 1>thanks for the super chat. I appreciate you so much.
<v Speaker 1>Thank all of you. You're all awesome. And yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>could sit here and rant all day long. And also
<v Speaker 1>audio listeners, let me let me let me give you
<v Speaker 1>guys just a second here, because I'm so video coded,
<v Speaker 1>and I know I am. I My first and foremost
<v Speaker 1>thoughts are always on video, because that's just how I've
<v Speaker 1>always done YouTube. But there are legitimately people that only
<v Speaker 1>listen via the audio. They wait for the Spotify or
<v Speaker 1>the iTunes or wherever they listen, and we have audio issues,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I I actually I don't know if we
<v Speaker 1>cut those out. I assume we do. We must, I
<v Speaker 1>hope we must. Can you imagine we post the audio
<v Speaker 1>and there's a minute of silence. I feel like that
<v Speaker 1>must have happened. Audio listeners, if you're watching old I
<v Speaker 1>sorry you're listening just through the audio. Just know, I
<v Speaker 1>really do appreciate you guys too, And I'm sorry if
<v Speaker 1>there are times where I forget when we're reacting to
<v Speaker 1>something or watching something on screen, that you guys are
<v Speaker 1>there in the audio and you can't see it to
<v Speaker 1>some point, to some extent, you know, it is video
<v Speaker 1>and we dot reacting to things, you know, on a screen,
<v Speaker 1>and there's only so much we can do there, you know,
<v Speaker 1>especially when we do games and tear lists and stuff
<v Speaker 1>like that. But just know, I still appreciate the audio listens.
<v Speaker 1>They do mean a lot to me. All Right, that's it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna get out of here, Go do the Patreon episode.
<v Speaker 1>If you do like the show, like, comment and subscribe,
<v Speaker 1>rate us whatever you want to rate, I say us,
<v Speaker 1>and yeah, that's it. Let me hit you with this.
<v Speaker 1>I apologize to the Patreons who are in the twenty
<v Speaker 1>doll a tier because I have not updated this bar
<v Speaker 1>in a few weeks now. It is actually a pain
<v Speaker 1>to update. But that doesn't that's no excuse I need
<v Speaker 1>to do it. Getting The reason why it's a pain
<v Speaker 1>is I have to find out who is and who
<v Speaker 1>isn't a twenty dollars Patreon anymore. And it's just a
<v Speaker 1>lot of it's a lot of like looking and counting
<v Speaker 1>in math and comparing things on an Excel spreadsheet. Way
<v Speaker 1>more work than it needs to be. I wish it
<v Speaker 1>was more auto updated. But I will get on that.
<v Speaker 1>I promise. I promise. God damn, I promise. Oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>what are we doing here? You know? Imagine this?
<v Speaker 2>You me.
<v Speaker 1>Roull thirty four of both of us. All right, let's okay, bye,
<v Speaker 1>see love you guys. You're the best. BA
