00:00:00 Speaker 1: Hello, Gorgeous. 00:00:01 Speaker 2: It's Lala Kent. Welcome to Untraditionally Lala. 00:00:06 Speaker 1: Hey, gorge it's me. I love that and that hot note for you, girl. 00:00:12 Speaker 2: Welcome back to Untraditionally Lala the bonus episode. I'm still with Remy Batter Hello Gorgeous. Hello, all right, I have some fan questions for you. 00:00:20 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:00:21 Speaker 2: The first one, what's your favorite clothing brand right now? 00:00:24 Speaker 1: Oh that's hard. I like looking at what I'm wearing. 00:00:28 Speaker 2: Your outfits fucking fire today. 00:00:31 Speaker 1: Thanks? Wait, what is my favorite clothing brand right now? I feel like I've just been chopping on Revolve and then I get a bunch of different brandferent brandsh I gotta give one. I don't know, Like I always love Good American. I think that they're great for like just jeans, casual body suits, things like that. 00:00:47 Speaker 2: I never met a piece of Good American that I didn't fucking love. 00:00:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, So, like that's always honestly, like before I even start, I always loved that was the definition of like what was like a cute for someone that was like curvy, when nothing else existed that was cute for like plus size or anything. So I was always a big fan. Obviously, I love Chloe. 00:01:08 Speaker 2: When she reached out to you to do her podcast, did you like go into a grave? 00:01:13 Speaker 1: It was before I met her a few years ago, and I was not well, like I was in LA and they were like, there's an event where you can go meet Chloe And that was the most nervous day of my life. 00:01:22 Speaker 2: Really. 00:01:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, SoJ was my person when I was younger, Like I didn't follow influencers and stuff, but like when I was younger, even in like middle school, people were like, you're Chloe, like when I was, like when I was a young carp and then they were just like and then she lost a bunch of weight, and then people I was like, oh, that's not me anymore for a long time. 00:01:43 Speaker 2: Wow. Do you kind of feel like now being on the other side of it that, like you're like, oh, I now relate because it's kind of a similar situation. 00:01:53 Speaker 1: Well, that's why I went on her podcast to talk about everything. Yeah, because we've spoke. We spoke before that from the day at her and I remember that day she told me because I was even I was struggling with my weight at that time, and she literally said and I literally said then, which is so interesting because I clearly was always thinking about what to do or how to be more comfortable. But I was binge eating at that time and gaining a lot of weight from that, okay, And she literally said, and if you lose people for whatever reason, you'll gain new people that will you know, love you for those reasons, So like, screw the people that leave. And that was like the first day I met her. But we always spoke about these things, Okay. That I was like, you're the right person of this conversation with because yes, I felt like we had so many similarities in different ways with the body stuff and just like being yeah, having it be your identity. And she was always like I was the larger sister and didn't get invited to certain things and all of that. So yeah, I. 00:02:50 Speaker 2: Love that you did her podcast. Yeah, when I saw that, I was like, this is gonna be a good one. How did you find confidence in your own skin clothes? 00:03:00 Speaker 1: Like that was when I for a while, I just didn't even like leave my apartment when I started gaining weight because I was so uncomfortable because I just didn't want to realize that I was gaining weight, Like in twenty twenty and finding clothes and realizing that there was like clothes out there. At that time, I was like a size fourteen and I always struggled as a size twelve, but trying to find clothes to size fourteen became so much more difficult. So once I started finding cute things that were available at a size fourteen, that led me to like have the confidence to go out again and be like, I'm not hiding myself. So it was really finding clothes that were that makes it. 00:03:35 Speaker 2: I love that I. 00:03:35 Speaker 1: Think at any size, Like, think about when you were wearing a cute outfit and love how you look, like your mood and your vibe and confidence compared to when you hate your outfit, Like it. 00:03:43 Speaker 2: Just changes everything. No, it does change everything. When you don't feel good in something that you're wearing, it is such a like hit on yourself confidence. 00:03:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, and you could be the skinniest person in the world, you could be any weight, but you're going to feel that no matter what. Like, I just think that can like change so much. That's why I think so believe that it should be available to people no matter what size, because it's like you need to have options, right, who helps you the most through your darkest days. Probably my mom. 00:04:14 Speaker 2: I love that answer. Same girl. Do you do botox? 00:04:18 Speaker 1: I just started botox in my forehead. That's all I've ever done. 00:04:21 Speaker 2: Your skin is fucking gorgeous, Thank you. Do you want you look like you have a filter on? 00:04:26 Speaker 1: It was that skin I'm on the sphere and lactoine, Like it was not like this last year, especially after losing a gang the way, like my hormones were all out of whack. But now I've been focusing on Yeah, it's like it's like how everyone's like so many people are on acutine, but this is like less aggressive, but it's hormonal, so like you can't be on it if you're trying to have a kid, which I'm not now, and there's yeah, there's just certain things, like there's certain side effects that people can't be on it. But for me, I've been pretty good with it. I've been on it for like probably a year and a half and it like totally changed. 00:04:59 Speaker 2: My skin is unreal, thank you. 00:05:01 Speaker 1: So it's working. 00:05:03 Speaker 2: What's one small daily ritual that makes you happy? It could be anything, even a cup of coffee that's nice. 00:05:11 Speaker 1: I'm like, what does yeah? I get honestly, like eating in the morning, like I get excited to have like you know, some a lot of people are not breakfast people. Yeah, boggles my mind because it literally like me getting excited to get like a coffee and breakfast. Whether it's like like I don't wake up excited to work out, but I'll like do it not every day, right, I'm like literally tapping my foot excited to get what I'm getting after I work out. 00:05:34 Speaker 2: So do you go out for breakfast or do you cook? 00:05:36 Speaker 1: Fears? 00:05:36 Speaker 2: It's either I love that, what are you into breakfast? 00:05:39 Speaker 1: But it's like I like today I went instead of getting room service, which was crazy of me at the at the hotel, I went to Starbucks and I get a spinach better wrap with the little avocado spread, and yeah sometimes if I want some addition and like some fiber, I'll get their Their oatmeal is like amazing really with just the brown sugar. 00:06:00 Speaker 2: Oh hell yeah, No, I love breakfast food. 00:06:02 Speaker 1: But I'll see I got excited talking about it. 00:06:06 Speaker 2: Her eyes light up. What's uh, what's a dream collaboration or project you love to do next? 00:06:12 Speaker 1: I have so many like ideas and thoughts, But to answer that question, I'm just gonna say I don't know because I've been putting so much pressure on myself for what's next, okay, and I'm in this like phase of like really figuring out what i want, So I'll get back to you on that one. 00:06:29 Speaker 2: I love that we're in the same space, except your five years younger than me, so I should probably fucking figure it out. 00:06:34 Speaker 1: No, you're young. 00:06:46 Speaker 2: What's one thing your followers would be surprised to learn about you? 00:06:50 Speaker 1: They know it all at this point. 00:06:52 Speaker 2: I'm like, literally, like, because you do tell them when you get affected too. 00:06:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know. I told them, Like I uh, I'm like, literally, what don't they know about me? Right? I don't know. I don't know. I will see when I get if I if and when I get into another relationship how much I'll share in terms of that. But like I just right now, I do feel like I have boundaries up from everything that I've shared and not shared. Like I don't share one hundred percent of everything. I don't share when I'm having a bad day anymore all the time, like I sometimes, but I definitely have a little bit more of a guard up. But for the most part, I do. I do share a lot, even when I say, I'm not going to a g that's me Like I've always been like an overshare or want to help people with what my experience is. So like I catch myself then making a video about the anxiety medicine I'm on or whatever my reaction. So I almost feel like right now they know most things, but. 00:07:45 Speaker 2: I relate to that where I'm like, I'm gonna shut the fuck up going forward, And then then it's a video of how I'm gonna shut the fuck. 00:07:51 Speaker 1: Out going forward. I'm like, this is I'm not. 00:07:55 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not good at being a close book mean either. 00:07:57 Speaker 1: If you could. 00:07:58 Speaker 2: Swap closets with anyone for a week, who would it be? That's mine would be Drek Kensley from Real House. That's a good age. 00:08:08 Speaker 1: But I need to like think of I need to sorry, I'm like not giving the answers to your questions. I'm like, I really don't. I just started following, Like it's just like if I see someone online wearing something cute, Like I just started following like influencers and people I don't know, like I have no idea who they are. Okay, Like I'm like, ooh, your style is so cool, Like how can I be cooler with my clothing. 00:08:28 Speaker 2: When you find an influencer that like, you don't know and it's you know, uh, they're posting their outfits. Do you tend to be drawn towards women with your body type? 00:08:41 Speaker 1: Yes, one hundred percent, Okay, I always. I think it's important to it, But I I kind of do everyone of I feel like right now, like I won't identify with like I said, my own body now, like I know and feel like it's going to fluctuate, just like it did my whole life, even if I had a surgery, so like, I just feel like I had I with so many different body types. So for me now, I would say kind of all over the board for people I follow. But when I was a size fourteen or sixteen or twenty or twelve, yes, I feel like to help me, I was following a lot of people that size, but I do I would say that if I were to put on my a label on myself right now, or if someone else were to put a label because I don't like doing that mid size, I would say, like I guess I would, it is helpful to find a lot of people out there that have a mid sized body. Okay, but it's not. Those aren't the only people I follow. I love that I tell people when they're struggling, Like when people ask me struggling to find clothes, I'm like, I say, follow someone with your body type that like you're into their style because it literally like I would just I immediately will buy something they're wearing. Or when totally I had a larger body, was like really struggling with finding stuff, like like it is as a size eight ten right now, it is easier to shop. There's no like lie about that. So I have a less hard time shopping right now, even though I have some struggles in terms of like like anyone does trying on clothes right, but yes, as like a twelve, fourteen, sixteen eighteen, it's harder. So I think to help people, like finding someone that's your body tape is. 00:10:15 Speaker 2: Like so helpful, yeah, because then you just go on and buy the whole outpha that they have on exactly That's what I do. I have z I don't have any inspiration. 00:10:22 Speaker 1: So people with like your body type, yes, but then. 00:10:26 Speaker 2: I always feel like I'm an I have imposter syndrome. I'm like, I don't belong in this. I don't look like her because I don't have her skin. My hair doesn't look like I get a little bit too overly, like, okay, you're not a. 00:10:38 Speaker 1: Copy and paste, but I just know I'm never for the fucking person. Yeah, okay, yeah, stick to the script. 00:10:44 Speaker 2: What's a trend you loved and when you wish would go away forever? 00:10:49 Speaker 1: One I wish would go away would be ballet flats because I have flat feet and I can't wear them or it hurts so like I think they're cute and I just don't have the option. Okay I can't. I have to wear like arches in my shoes and put insuls in. It's very annoying. Yeah. So and then one that I like, Yeah, one that you love. Oh, I'm just so happy skinny jeans are back. I'm wearing them right now. And even though some people like I mean that, I'm like, hell yeah, Like I think I like will always look better in skinny jeans than loose gens. 00:11:18 Speaker 2: I love a skinny jean so much. And also I don't like the ballet flats even though I have some. Because you have picture you in ballet flat. 00:11:27 Speaker 1: I can't either. 00:11:28 Speaker 2: I get them because I see something on Instagram and I'm like, oh, she looks so cute. I'm gonna recreate that outfit, but you have to have such a specific type of ankle to caveat. 00:11:39 Speaker 1: That's what it is, like the ankle, because I like the other day I also wore I like literally couldn't take myself serious. Like I was actually laughing at myself. I was wearing loafers and like a mini skirt and like I looked like a preppy girl, and I was like everyone was saying, how cute I looked on this like dsw trip and I'm like, I don't feel like myself like and they're like, no, I mean, you have to take pictures in this, it's so cute. I'm like, it's so n me. The loafers, the ballet, that's the same exact that I try so hard to put myself in. 00:12:06 Speaker 2: And anytime I'm in it, I'm like, I. 00:12:08 Speaker 1: Know when it's fun because like, I know you would look cute, but I'm also like, it's I know, it's not your vibe. 00:12:12 Speaker 2: So it's not my vibe. Give me like a floody top and then like sized some I love, but I love the skinny jeans I'm on board with that. Thank you for doing my bonus episode. 00:12:24 Speaker 1: Of course, I love you all, do anything for you. You're the best. 00:12:26 Speaker 2: Thank you guys for listening to another bonus episode. I'm gonna catch you next week. 00:12:29 Speaker 1: Bye.
