00:00:02 Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome back to Batcher Happy Hour. 00:00:04 Speaker 2: I'm Joe and I'm Serena, and. 00:00:06 Speaker 1: We are here today with not one, but two lovely sisters, Ellison and Lauren. Hi. 00:00:13 Speaker 2: Hello, Hi, thanks for having us, Thanks for coming. We got so comfortable in the first episode calling you guys older sister, younger sister, that we started messing up. We were like, wait, who's Lauren and Allison? We're like, oh, only the two people we've been talking about this whole episode. But we have your names down, Pat, The audience has your names down, Pat, and we saw one of you go home this episode, which was so just shocking at heart for you guys. We were not ready for that at all. And we have lots to talk to you guys about today because I feel like you've been like the stars of the first episode, so there's lots to cover. 00:00:51 Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Thanks, I went home to that was. 00:00:56 Speaker 1: Okay. I actually want to ask you this, just simple yes or no and then we'll get into it later in the episode. Lauren, do you regret going home the way you send it yourself home? Because we both have your answer. 00:01:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, it has to be yes or no, so it's like yes and no. But right now, I'll say yes. But at the same time, I think it was the time for me. So we'll get into that later. 00:01:16 Speaker 2: But okay, okay, okay, So I was right. So I was right. 00:01:20 Speaker 1: I was right. 00:01:21 Speaker 2: Well, she said Boz, so I was also right. 00:01:23 Speaker 1: Okay, So how did you guys? How did you guys get on the show? Did you both apply? 00:01:29 Speaker 2: Like? 00:01:29 Speaker 1: What was the deal there? 00:01:31 Speaker 4: So Lauren actually applied to us both one day she after our dad's. 00:01:36 Speaker 3: Passing, which we will get into i'm sure later. 00:01:39 Speaker 4: We both were just in a weird spot in our lives, so we were like, we're having no luck in Philly, and we were like, why not do something a little bit out of our comfort zone and go on The Bachelor and meet somebody we might not never meet. And I guess having our applications come back to that really made us like stand out. 00:01:56 Speaker 3: Yeah, So they ended up reaching out like a month later, we weren't really having the life in the dating world, and I was like, let's try something different. You know, it seems to work for other people, work for you, guys, So I was like, we'll give it a shot. And I just tried to sign her up with me because we didn't really find about anything, so we didn't think it would be weird opposed to like what everybody else is hitting because we're getting a lot of hate common about it. Really was yeah, oh, I was like this is weird, this is disturbing. 00:02:20 Speaker 2: I mean, it's definitely maybe not a first but not common that we see. 00:02:25 Speaker 4: Yes, I think that I know wealout it before, so we knew like what we were coming into and how it would go down. 00:02:34 Speaker 2: So you guys, so you applied for yourself, and then did you nominate your sister or did you also just apply for her as well? 00:02:42 Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, you know I applied her email on her phone, so it looked like she applied. 00:02:48 Speaker 2: Okay, And then did they reach out to you guys separately like hey, or was it like hey, we're interested in both of you, Like did you almost like day? 00:02:55 Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like I think in February, like after we passed, and I was like, you know what, I was like drunk. I was doing a lot during that, and I was like all right, I'm forgot about it. And then in April we both got to call my sisters. Like I just got like like a voicemail from like a Bachelor producer, and I was like, no way, I forgot that even happened, and then went through a whole interview process after that, But yeah, they. 00:03:12 Speaker 2: Did for us. Did you interview together or like, did you have separate interviews? 00:03:17 Speaker 3: We did separate. I don't think we ever did any together. Isn't there one that we did together? Maybe like a phone call? Okay, like one of them in the phone call, but if we're all like the Zoom meetings. 00:03:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, god chat okay. So through this process, you're obviously like, you know, like the odds that this happens are so crazy. Let's just see where it goes. And then you get further and further into the process, and you obviously are like, maybe we get on this show. When do these combos are happening? Of like what if one of us gets on? What if both of us get on? 00:03:47 Speaker 3: I think they liked the idea of both of us so much that we never really thought about both. But I mean she like kind of wasn't sure I got it for a little bit, so like she wanted to go on, like if I went on, But then I was like I want to go on anyways, Like what I want to go on? We go one separate, I will give it that. Okay, it was easier going together. 00:04:07 Speaker 2: And did you have an inclination that there was interest in both of you or were you worried that they were just going to pick one or the other. 00:04:15 Speaker 3: No, they did keep bringing up like the sister thing. They're like, this dynamic is cool, like we want you both on together. 00:04:20 Speaker 2: So okay, okay. 00:04:24 Speaker 1: And dating in Philly, no, luck is terrible. I've been the Philly. I've been the Philly once, but I was only there for like three days and I wasn't trying to date. 00:04:34 Speaker 3: So it's not it here. No one's just taking to like settle down. And I'm just at that age now that I can't just be like out here hinge date and gotcha? 00:04:46 Speaker 1: What's the cheese steak spot? The real one that. 00:04:49 Speaker 3: I say, Angelo's. 00:04:51 Speaker 1: Angelo's looks. Angelo's looks the best. 00:04:54 Speaker 3: It's really good. So if you come, you have to try it. 00:04:57 Speaker 1: That's what with the pizza, right, they have pizza as well. That that restaurant I actually really want to go to. Okay, So if you ever want to take. 00:05:04 Speaker 2: The train, it's like an hour from New York, right, what is it? An hour from yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, let's do it. 00:05:11 Speaker 1: We'll go all right, so let's get back on uh back on track. Okay, okay, So Night one, Uh well, actually no, Joey's the Bachelor. How do we feel about that? 00:05:22 Speaker 3: Great? Excited? I knew I wanted him from the get as soon as we watched it. 00:05:25 Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, that was hard to because we both talked about which one we would want from Cherry season and we both said Joey from the get. So it was hard yeah, because I wanted the same person though, So yeah, I. 00:05:38 Speaker 2: Guess, Okay, so you're both happy that Joe's the Bachelor. So is everyone? To be honest, I feel like everyone, like audience wise, really really wanted him to the Bachelor, And every contestant we've asked was like, yeah, I was hoping it was Joey. So you get to Californidia, you're going to the Bachelor mansion. We see you Night one. Act like you guys don't I don't know each other? Tell us about the conversation where you like, did you plan that? Did you just kind of like spring that in the moment? What was the goal there? 00:06:08 Speaker 3: It was actually planned before we saw each other, but I think it was actually a good idea, just because I want to Joy to see me as like a separate I wanted to inform his own opinion on us before knowing that we're sisters, because then you don't feel as bad like sending someone home if you do, because then it's just like a little awkward after that. But it was mainly for the Joey thing. It wasn't like for the girls because that was like super anti climatic if you guys saw. But it was mainly for Joey. It was like, Okay, get to know us first. It was just meet us before like forming that kind of opinion about sisters. 00:06:35 Speaker 2: So you kind of wanted to be like, get your first impression of me, like me Alison, me Lauren, and then we'll be like, ps, we're sisters exactly. Okay. I love that, I think I I think that's a good idea. I think that's smart. 00:06:50 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:06:51 Speaker 1: Okay, So Alison, I'll ask you first, you step out of the limo, you meete Joey. How does it go? Is there is there chemistry that you do you just black out. 00:07:02 Speaker 4: I was just saying, not gonna lie. I blacked out right when I stepped putting out that limo. 00:07:07 Speaker 3: Nothing. Can't remember how it. 00:07:09 Speaker 4: When once I got into the mansion is when I started to kind of process everything that happened. But beforehand, yeah, don't remember anything from it. 00:07:16 Speaker 1: It is surreal. I mean it's it's everyone, including myself, like you do blackout, like you you once you get into the house. Like, what the fuck did I? I said on my season, I said, what the fuck did I just do? And they internet, Yeah, I. 00:07:35 Speaker 2: Was like, well, on my season, we weren't at Bachelor Mansion because it was a COVID season. We were in Nema, Colin and it was stunning, like where our Night one was. It was like this big chateau and Matt who was the Bachelor, was at the bottom, and you walk up like the five ten steps from like the the limo setup is the same, like you walk in the limos like ten steps, you stand there, you do your thing, And then I had to walk up like forty red carpeted stairs all the way up to this chateau and I just remember being like, oh my god, this walk is taking for. 00:08:08 Speaker 3: However, the one one is not as long as like it looks on TV. Like when you're there in the moment, I'm like, this is a lot shorter than I thought. 00:08:15 Speaker 1: Yeah. So, yeah, it's like the walk down the paradise. 00:08:19 Speaker 2: The walk down to Paradise is long and kind of scary. It's like steep steps and you're like walking out of the jungle. 00:08:28 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:08:28 Speaker 2: Yeah, don't recommend them, definitely flats or bare feet. 00:08:32 Speaker 1: Okay, So Lauren, how about how about you When you first meet Joey. 00:08:37 Speaker 3: I remember, like, obviously you're a little nervously like kind of blackout from that. I thought it was really fun though. I remember I think we had like a little bit of a connection. I felt good about it, which is obviously why I kind of like regret leaving. But it was just obviously not my time. 00:08:50 Speaker 2: Yeah. No, you guys both had really cute entrances. Lauren, Yours was memorable because you crush the shotgun and so obviously that's kind of gonna stand out in the mine. Yeah. 00:08:58 Speaker 1: And I think regardless of you guys, like because you were sisters, it was kind of like a shoe in that you both were going to get a rose the first day. But I think you guys probably would have both gotten a rose regardless. Sisters are not. Yeah, yeah, yeah, just like based off of your your entrances and no, for sure. 00:09:15 Speaker 2: I don't worry. Weren't doubting if either of you were going to get a rose. Yeah, I thought definitely there was something with both of you in like different ways. 00:09:23 Speaker 1: Okay, So then yeah, yeah, well that's that's what we do, you know, we just build people up. So you guys, so you guys eventually open up to all the women like, hey, we're sisters. Was it kind of like it was it awkward? 00:09:37 Speaker 3: People like we thought so? So room how it aired? Yeah, nobody cared. 00:09:44 Speaker 4: We were just standing up there awkwardly after that, like a high five whatever. 00:09:48 Speaker 3: Let's just say. 00:09:50 Speaker 2: I feel like there's no way though, Like you guys did a good job, but there's no way. Did not make that awkward? Yeah, we're like everyone everyone's like, oh okay, anyway. 00:10:00 Speaker 3: We're like, oh yeah, maybe all right, we're gonna go the bar. 00:10:05 Speaker 1: So then, who are who are your girls in the house thus far that you're closest. 00:10:11 Speaker 3: With Riah. 00:10:16 Speaker 2: Looks like she could be your third sister. 00:10:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, we actually got that. 00:10:22 Speaker 2: There was like one time the three of you. There's a shot of like the three of you sitting and she's in the middle, and I was like, whoa, this is kind of triviy. All three of you look really similar. Yeah it's the black hair for sure, but yeah, this was just her pretty much. Okay. Nice. So night one goes, you're at the rose ceremony. Alison you get the first rose, Lauren, you get the last row. Joe really enjoyed this because he was like, I feel like they both have good personalities, and now that I know that they're sisters, I feel like it would be so fun to mess with them in this way. Like He's like, I feel like he did this on purpose, just to like like poke. 00:11:01 Speaker 1: They could see it, like when he gave Lauren, when he gave you the last roads. Yeah, like you see him genuinely happen. 00:11:09 Speaker 4: He knew he'd good a re action from Lauren. Maybe we're not so much, but Lauren, for sure. 00:11:14 Speaker 2: Were you worried that you were going to get sent home that night? 00:11:17 Speaker 3: Yeah? Honestly, yes, like for a little bit, maybe I'll be in the middle. And then he just kept doing that thing where they like look and I'm like this, none of these are my name? What is going on? But then thank god, but I was like, don't ever do that again? 00:11:29 Speaker 1: Getting the last rose? Yeah, that's that. 00:11:32 Speaker 2: I was just about to be like, did you ever get the last rose? But you didn't ever get it? 00:11:36 Speaker 1: Road get it? 00:11:37 Speaker 3: And you like look around and you see who else is left to and you're like, well, they said very great, like your conversation went well, and you're great, like I probably am going home. 00:11:44 Speaker 2: And it's so hard to gauge because everyone thinks their conversation went great, like very rarely to so much conversation. Yeah, everyone's like, oh my god, it went so well, we had such a great conversation. Like so you can't even be like, okay, I know that those three girls and it's not working out. 00:12:02 Speaker 1: Who was the most confident We've we've talked about confidence a lot on this so far this season, but who was the most confident woman night one that you felt. 00:12:11 Speaker 4: I would say Maria. Maria, he just like knows who she is. She came out of her limo. 00:12:16 Speaker 3: You can just tell the confidence like radiates off of her. So I was gonna say, and then she radiates confidence. 00:12:21 Speaker 1: Yes, okay, yeah that makes that shuts out. 00:12:25 Speaker 2: Okay. So now we're into week two, So Lauren, you were on the bridal date, and then Allison you were on the boot camp date. 00:12:33 Speaker 1: No, oh, why don't think Allison was also on the bridale date. 00:12:38 Speaker 3: I wish you were on a date. I kind of wish I was too, I could be. 00:12:41 Speaker 2: I was gonna say, did you guys want to be on the date together that week before you knew what it was, before you knew what it was. 00:12:47 Speaker 4: I would say no, because we still wanted to be our own individual person. So I think having us both there and our competitive side coming out. 00:12:53 Speaker 3: Probably wouldn't be the best. And I just want I want to be with you. 00:12:57 Speaker 2: Yeah, that makes sense. But then being on the date, Lauren and were you kind of like, I wish my sister was here a little bit. 00:13:03 Speaker 3: I wish we trade places. I was like, I wish Ali was having to do this. I wish I had her date. 00:13:08 Speaker 2: That's fair, that's fair. So we do see, you know it is a bridal date. We see a clip of you in the limo opening up to Maria because she's talking about her dad, and you know, her dad in connection to the wedding, and you open up to the girls in the limo about the fact that you and Alison just lost your father somewhat recently. Was that something you were anticipating opening up about that early on or was that just kind of triggered by the situation in the moment. 00:13:44 Speaker 3: Yeah, not at all, because I feel like I'm big on like not trauma dumping, and especially since like I don't know him yet, I'm not going to like throw on you like my dad passed last year. But then being in like the wedding dress and memory is saying that, I think it just like triggered me because like I don't know, grief is like such a weird thing. Like some days don't think about it and like smile and so as you think about it and you just want to cry. And it's like one of those days that being in that wedding dress set me off. I was like great and I couldn't get out of it. 00:14:09 Speaker 2: Yeah, how was that then for the rest of the day, because we don't really see you that much. I mean, we know you're there obviously, we know that you're participating in the activities, but we don't see you much during the day. Portion, how are you feeling? We see you, know, you and Maria have kind of a conversation again, She's comforting you. But how like going into it, what were you thinking that day? 00:14:30 Speaker 3: I didn't think it was gonna be that way, Honestly. I was like trying to have fun with it and like trying to talk myself out of it. But like my personality, like one thing is like when I'm in a bad mood, like I can't get myself out of it, and it just starts to spiral. And I kept trying to like have fun with it, and I was like, this is just going to project all my time with him, like I'm in a bad mood, and then I'm gonna start like I'm just not gonna have as much fun with the conversation. Like you're at a wedding. You're supposed to be the happest day of your life. You're supposed to be like picturing this in the future. And then I'm sitting there like with an attitude. So like I was like, I just don't want to talk to him. I'll try to do that later when I like mentally like prepare myself. 00:15:03 Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that totally makes sense. I feel like I would also be like I want and it's new, like it's a new relationship, Like I feel like you still want to put like your best bet forward. You want it to feel like fun and flirty, and you're probably just like I'm not feeling like happy or sexy right now, Like I just kind of want to be by myself. 00:15:19 Speaker 3: Yeah. Especially that dress, guys, that was not the dress for me. I was like, I hate this dress, but it was like one of the only ones left. I was like, oh, I'm just not like a pooviy dressed kind of girl. I would have preferred a nice, little small one. I was just it was just I didn't feel myself at all totally. 00:15:36 Speaker 1: So then after that, after that date, did you as sisters get a chance to talk? 00:15:45 Speaker 3: You go home so late. 00:15:46 Speaker 4: I remember she woke me up from it and she was definitely still distraught from it, kind of recapping what happened. Yeah, yeah, so I heard a little bit about it, but not much until probably like the next day. 00:16:00 Speaker 2: How was your time with Joey at the cocktail party telling him more about what you've been through? 00:16:08 Speaker 1: Like, it was good. 00:16:08 Speaker 3: He's very receptive of it. But I hate crying in front of people. It was like the embarrassing to just like start crying. I was like, God, I was not like ready to start fucking sobbing to you right now. 00:16:18 Speaker 2: Like if there's something to cry about, Like this is definitely on the list. 00:16:22 Speaker 1: Like you've been through a lot before, you keep going, Elison, are you the same or what? 00:16:27 Speaker 3: Sorry? 00:16:28 Speaker 1: Just about like crying in front of people? All, Yeah, I. 00:16:31 Speaker 3: Don't cry often. I don't show much emotion like that. This whole season is probably the most I've cried in years. Ole episodes. I cried in front. 00:16:40 Speaker 4: Yeah, Like my family's never really even seen me cry, so they'll be in for it. 00:16:44 Speaker 1: Wow. 00:16:45 Speaker 2: The show like brings it down in you. It does that. But we were we were actually saying and we weren't saying this really in regards to you, Lauren and your story, but a lot of people in these first two episodes have been crying and like opening up a lot really early on. Is there something about Joey that you think is like creating this environment of like save space or is he like really asking for you guys to be vulnerable. We're just looking for like a little more insight. 00:17:14 Speaker 3: He just makes you really comfortable, I think. So it's like I think people just wanted to share things with him and like form that connection and then everyone like I don't know if people always feel like I know how you said, like people come back and like my conversation went great, but like this time, it was like everyone felt amazing about it. Like they would come back and be like, wow, I'm definitely getting a rose, and then you're like, oh my god. So someone's like, now I need to share something where he wants to keep me around. So it was just like stressful, but like everyone was doing that Okay, comfortable, I agree. 00:17:40 Speaker 4: I think his eye contact and then he also would like hold your hand. So I feel like all of those factors together just made you feel really comfortable in front of him and made it feel like you knew him for a way longer than you really did. 00:17:51 Speaker 2: Gotcha, Yeah, I can see that. That totally makes it, And that's a good quality as a bachelor, you know, especially when like you know, you're sharing something so deeply personal with him that you maybe wouldn't to please share on like a first or second date, but you know you're going into it and he's gonna like be receptive and make you feel comfortable. 00:18:08 Speaker 1: Okay. So then going into group date number two, Allison, where is I guess where's your head going into that date, like, how are you feeling? 00:18:17 Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I was super excited. I was nervous, say, it wasn't gonna get on the second group date, so I was happy when my name was called. Definitely wasn't expecting a boot camp and to be like on the ground doing push ups slipping. 00:18:29 Speaker 3: I was like, I wasn't ready. 00:18:30 Speaker 2: It was fun. 00:18:31 Speaker 3: It was fun. I was in like a little tennis outfit. 00:18:34 Speaker 4: I thought we were doing something more on the tennis aspects, so I wasn't prepared, but it definitely was a lot of fun. 00:18:39 Speaker 3: I forgot you were tennis. 00:18:40 Speaker 4: I know you were saying it's gotta be tennis. I was like, you guys are playing tennis somehow, and I was like, Okay, that's. 00:18:46 Speaker 2: So funny because I think it was Jen was in like a full tennis skirt, like someone was ring a skirt, and I was like, god, damn, they're in the mud. 00:18:56 Speaker 1: Were not a choice I show that. 00:19:00 Speaker 2: I also would have thought it was tennis if it was. 00:19:02 Speaker 3: Like, yeah, like that's a tennis term, Like that makes so much sense. 00:19:08 Speaker 1: And everyone there be doing that. They're going to be doing that this entire seaton. 00:19:11 Speaker 2: Everyone was waiting for the tennis date. The same on Golden Bacheler. Everyone was waiting for the pickleball date. 00:19:15 Speaker 1: Big on rackets these days, in we're big on rackets, racket racket sports. 00:19:21 Speaker 2: Oh yes, yeah, we got a lot of ragget sports in this franchise. 00:19:25 Speaker 1: Okay, so on that on that group date, anything like anything with Joey, anything go down. I've never been on a group date, so pretty tame. 00:19:32 Speaker 2: It seemed fun and seemed like there was like a ton of drama until well not drama, but I mean you find out that you're not going to get after party. 00:19:40 Speaker 4: Yeah, not having that time at the end definitely was a bummer, and then having to have only one person go from the two teams definitely hard to watch. Everybody needs that time, so I mean it was it was hard. 00:19:53 Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, that that is a bummer. I felt for you guys, especially that early on to be giving up and like the car still parties are really when you get the quality time because the daytime days when you were doing activity, it's like you're banking on those like intimate conversations later on. Yeah, were you surprised that it was Edwena or were you kind of expecting that. 00:20:12 Speaker 4: I was expecting it because I felt like she was MVP of the Paintball Challenge. 00:20:16 Speaker 3: She laid it all out there. 00:20:18 Speaker 2: Like I did. 00:20:19 Speaker 3: I'm all in so I. 00:20:20 Speaker 4: Respected her for that and I had a really good feeling she was going to be the one to go. 00:20:24 Speaker 2: Yeah, she crushed it. I think I literally wrote like MVP Edwena down in my notes. She was like absolutely crushing it. 00:20:30 Speaker 1: What was your thought process when Evelyn jumped over the table? What did everyone do on. 00:20:35 Speaker 2: The wedding date? 00:20:35 Speaker 3: On the wedding day, really, everyone like froze up. We're like what just happened? And like looking back at it now, like I probably she gave her my seat, but I was like, get off, this is my seat. But now I'm like, I really should have gave it to you, Like that was pretty cool. 00:20:46 Speaker 2: I didn't realize it was you that she jumped on and in my lap. Oh my god. I'm actually kind of surprised she didn't injure herself in any way doing that. 00:20:56 Speaker 3: I wrote the fall literally, but she wrote like the whole place setting that was in front of me that like shattered. 00:21:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I heard it like you would hear it. When she lands, it's like it's like a crash sound. 00:21:07 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm surprised you neither. Maybe the dress dress breaks that a little bit. 00:21:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of tool helps. Yeah that was crazy. I was so not expecting that. 00:21:16 Speaker 1: Okay, so now where are we back. 00:21:19 Speaker 2: At the back at the house ROAs ceremony time, let's chit chat about the drama or Lauren went home? Which is between Maria and It's good. So is it like Maria against Sydney and Medina at this point? Are those kind of the sides? 00:21:36 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:21:36 Speaker 3: Kind of you a way? 00:21:37 Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like, yeah, more Maria and Sydney. I felt like Medina and Sydney kind of made up and they were okay. 00:21:44 Speaker 3: That was after them. 00:21:45 Speaker 4: Yeah, I started like a start than Yeah, all three, tell. 00:21:50 Speaker 1: Us what went down, because it seems like it seems like, uh, Medina said I feel old, and then Maria basically said like we're the same age, I'm old. 00:22:02 Speaker 2: Too, like it's okay, don't worry about it, yeah, to make her feel better. 00:22:06 Speaker 3: But then Sidney overheard that and was like, she's talking shit, I gotta go tell her, and then went and told Medina like Maria was dismissing her feelings. Blah blah blah, and Medina was like, oh my god, that's flapping and then they ended up making up. So the whole beef now was just Sydney insuring herself. 00:22:20 Speaker 2: Okay, so it was like Maria versus Medina, but now it's really Sydney versus Maria. Yes, okay, and we're. 00:22:29 Speaker 1: Getting out to real. 00:22:32 Speaker 2: Yeah, there's definitely I feel like there's got to be some layers to this because just like, do Sydney and Maria get a law before this happens? 00:22:39 Speaker 3: It literally came out of nowhere. It was so weird. No, they were fine. I don't know if it's just Maria's like confidence and stuff that some people get like a little jealous of, but it came out of nowhere. 00:22:49 Speaker 2: And then what's the tone in the house, Like are people kind of like, no, we see Sydney side, No we see Maria's side? Or is everyone's kind of staying out of it? 00:22:57 Speaker 3: Yeah? I think everyone's staying out of it at that point, everyone's like second day, like I don't want to be a part of this at all. 00:23:02 Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, it feels like it got big really quickly, Like it was like a spark that turned into a flame. Like a matter of hours. 00:23:10 Speaker 3: Nothing. It blew up like I literally don't know the words wrong. But it was the weirdest. It wasn't even like an important fight either. 00:23:15 Speaker 4: Yeah it was. 00:23:16 Speaker 1: It just seemed it just seemed really unnecessary, but like it was. It was, Yeah, everything's unnecessary to a point. 00:23:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm okay with it because it was entertaining to watch it, and I feel like it's going to continue next week, so we will see how that unfolds. 00:23:30 Speaker 1: So Lauren, you decide in your head that you are going to go home. You're like, fuck this ship nothing to do on my way. I'm pissed off, I was vulnerable, I didn't like my dress. I don't get the right amount of time. I'm fucking pissed, and now I want to go home. Do you two have a conversation, like Alison, did you know she's gonna go? 00:23:56 Speaker 4: We did on the outside driveway. We both came out and arm was kind of explaining everything and she was like I think, I'm like, oh, go home. It was afterwards her money, Well. 00:24:07 Speaker 3: Well, first you came back in and you're like, my talk went so well, I'm feeling so great, And I was like, I will me, see each other everything. 00:24:12 Speaker 4: So I was like, it went good, Like I didn't know she was right now some stress, So she gave me attitude and then later we get talking about it in the driveway and she was like, I just don't know if I can be here anymore. Just everything she's been through that whole week kind of brought her down. She couldn't get out of that headspace. So after that, I knew she was definitely planning on eliminating herself. 00:24:36 Speaker 1: And are you okay with it? Like do you do you think this is beneficial to you or are you also like, this is my best friend, it's my sister. I don't want her to leave. 00:24:44 Speaker 4: I was both ways. So I was definitely super sad. I'm like, this is my sister, my support system in here. It's hard enough going on the experience alone, so having her there for me was definitely a bonus. But at the same time, having her leap made me able to kind of just spoke on my relationship with Joey. 00:25:02 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:25:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like having your sister there is like a double not a double edged store, but there's like pros and cons to it. Sure, Okay, Lauren, we were we were surprised, like we did not expect you to be leaving, and then we thought you might change your mind. Maybe this was just like wishful thinking on our part. But when we were like, hey, Joey's gonna go over, like maybe she'll change her mind, like maybe she's just in this funk, did you consider change your mind at any point when he came over or were you like set in your decision, like. 00:25:34 Speaker 3: Kind of like I had already made such like a scene about it, and like, like I said with one of the bad food, I'm in a bad food like looking back in hindsight now, and I couldn't handle it all that better. I could have done that a little different, Like I wasn't as mentally prepared as I thought I was for it. But then when they came over One is by the way, Yeah, I thought that I was going to breathe through this shit. 00:25:54 Speaker 1: Like I was like, yeah, like I'm mentally I'm tough. I've been through so much this show, Are you kidding me? 00:26:02 Speaker 3: Yeah? Literally, I was the second episode. I'm like done. But yeah, he comes over and I'm like all right, He's like sit down. So I was like, okay, Like maybe I will say and then when they brought out the cake and it wasn't it, Like I think that's just set me off again, And I was like, forget it, I'm leaving. I just need to leave, Like I just need to like mentally heal a little more. I don't know if I'm like fully through the whole grieving process, but meant if I stayed any longer, I don't know how much like the worse it would be for me. Honestly, That's how I was in the second episode. 00:26:28 Speaker 2: Do you think that was the biggest contributor? Was you know, the wedding day and just still grieving the loss of your father or do you think there was something else that was the driving force of you leaving that and like, like I. 00:26:42 Speaker 3: Said, like being mentally prepared for like I'm not like you supposed to gate one person, so you're not used to competing with like a bunch of people and just hearing the conversations here and here and everyone feels good. Like you start to like overthink that and then you're like, is mine even good? Like are we even having like in depth conversations? And I just got in my head and I was like, maybe this isn't for me right now, I need to be Yeah, you're very so I was like, it is time for me to go. It wasn't meant to be. 00:27:04 Speaker 2: And I feel like you were like from what we saw, it seemed like you were getting like you were like the last person to talk to him multiple times. You weren't getting a ton of time, Like there was a lot of things that were like contributing to you not feeling really confident. Like it's way easier when you're like the first one to talk to him and you get like a solid ten to fifteen minutes and then it's like Okay, I'm good, whereas when you have to sit there, Like I remember one girl on my season, like week two or three, was like almost everyone had talked to him. There was like three or four people left, and someone was like, have you talked to him yet? She's like, if one more person asked me, I'm gonna lose my mind because no, I still haven't talked to him. And now I'm getting pissed off because she's like, I feel like all the attentions on me in this negative way and I'm freaking out. And I feel like when you have like you're already like struggling with grief and being vulnerable with him on that group date, and now you have all of these layers on top of it of just like the struggles of being in this environl like that is so much to be dealing with. 00:28:02 Speaker 3: Yep, that's literally exactly how I felt. And then everyone's like, no, it's fine. There's there's like three girls that haven't gone. I'm like, they all have roses already, Like I'm the only one they have a rose, Like that's not another account? Yeah, crazy, Yeah, I get it. 00:28:21 Speaker 1: I mean I gave I mean I didn't get a rose. I don't know. I don't know if anything would have changed that, but mentally not a night one. I after like my first conversation with her, I gave up. I was like, I sound like an idiot. I hate this, I hate the way I look, I hate everything about the situation. I want. I'm going home like it's done for me. And if I if she would have given me a rose, I probably would have spiraled episode too. Exactly how you how you didn't just been like I'm out like this, give me a chocolate cake and they would have brought me a vanilla one. I would have threw it too. Do you think if Joey would have been a little more aggressive in trying to keep you around, you would have stayed? 00:29:08 Speaker 3: Honestly? Maybe it's like, looking back, I still think I was meant to go, Like when I came home, I focused on like my mental so much. World was like I needed to leave. But it's like maybe if you push harder, I would have stayed. But then, like I said, I'm firm believer that everything happens for a reason. It was just my time to go. So I'm god you did. 00:29:24 Speaker 2: Did you feel like relief when you left? 00:29:26 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:29:26 Speaker 2: I did. 00:29:27 Speaker 3: I mean he was a little going back to the hotel, so you're just sitting over your thoughts. 00:29:30 Speaker 2: It's a little but dark. 00:29:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, after that day, I got used to it and I was like it was definitely best for me to go. 00:29:38 Speaker 2: Okay. And then Alison, what were your so obviously like you're sad your sister's gone. What were kind of your initial like thoughts of like okay, like you know, what does my journey look like moving forward with that? Lauren, did you consider like leaving at any point like where you like, I I don't want to do this without her, like what's going through your head now that she's officially left. 00:29:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, so, I mean there's definitely points I swear. I mean, yeah, I'm like that cool. Now it's just me and him, this is great. 00:30:04 Speaker 4: But then there's also the side where I'm like, dang, like I don't have that one person I'm closest to here who I can like talk through things with. But then sometimes I feel like when we talked through things kind of made more of a competition between us because I would say things that maybe I shouldn't have with her, which probably. 00:30:18 Speaker 3: Oh my god, it so well when you knew I was waiting for my time. I was trying to just like talk to her like as I would any friends. She's like all like tell me. I would not say you're good. 00:30:31 Speaker 1: You came back like with a. 00:30:32 Speaker 4: Pep in yourself all the time. No, So I think it made it easier in the end. There were definitely points throughout where I was like, can I do this alone? 00:30:42 Speaker 3: Like will I be able to? But in the end I was like, no, I definitely know I'm going to stay. 00:30:47 Speaker 1: Yeah that makes sense. Okay, So something we're going to have to ask you about because it gets mentioned in this episode uh, the over dating a guy that overlapped at one point, we messed that up. 00:30:59 Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to clarify because you clarified in episode two, and I just want to make sure everyone listening understands that you were literally dating the same at the same time. 00:31:10 Speaker 3: Please. Yeah, so we were I we weren't in like the same state of raw. She went to the University of Delaware and met a guy, was like dating him in college for a little bit. Then I moved to Philadelphia. I met the same guy, weirder on his part to be honest and not like disclose that. 00:31:24 Speaker 1: So you guys didn't know. You didn't know that. 00:31:26 Speaker 3: And then I was like, oh my god, I've been talking to this guy. He's really great. And I show a picture and she was like, oh my god, I was dating him you date And I was like, that's really e been weird. 00:31:33 Speaker 2: Wait, so how long did you date him? Alison? 00:31:36 Speaker 3: It wasn't long, not like full dating, like we went on dates, okay, but like you went on a few dates. 00:31:42 Speaker 4: Yes, exactly, So it was like three maybe okay long, But it's hard to like go after my sister after especially the last name and we look alike. 00:31:53 Speaker 3: It's hard not to know he knew. 00:31:54 Speaker 1: He knew, Yeah, he knew for sure. 00:31:56 Speaker 2: That's so weird. Wait, Lauren, how long were you talking to him for? 00:32:00 Speaker 3: It wasn't long. Maybe a couple of months. 00:32:02 Speaker 1: Oh no, that's like we got married after nineteen days. 00:32:06 Speaker 2: So my my reaction comes from like, it's not like you were talking for like a week, and it was like he just hadn't disclosed it yet. It was like he fully knew and decided like I won't be saying anything about this. 00:32:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, And I just had another chance to talk to her because she was like on vacation during that time, so she was like gone. Then she came back and I was like, oh my god, this is what I've been up to. And then she was like, oh I was up to that once too. 00:32:30 Speaker 2: Wait, so how did you confront him about it? How did this play out? 00:32:33 Speaker 3: I just texted him. I went, I was like, this is really eving weird, Like you, I didn't even know you talked to my sister Will and you told me that. And I just literally blocked him and goes. 00:32:39 Speaker 1: To him and I was like, didn't respond, but did he respond? 00:32:42 Speaker 3: Because I blocked him him on Instagram? Blocked him there too. I was just like, no, it's not we're cutting it off because I don't even try to talk to me. 00:32:50 Speaker 2: Maybe he thought you knew. 00:32:53 Speaker 3: No, because he knew I was talking about her like she's on vacation right now, she's here, like look where she died, Like you'd be like, right, yeah, you think it's something. 00:33:01 Speaker 2: No, yeah, and like the way you were talking about her was probably he would have been able to put together like she doesn't realize that, like I know who this is. Yeah, yeah, that is crazy. 00:33:11 Speaker 1: And who ended it between you two? Elison? 00:33:13 Speaker 3: Did it? 00:33:14 Speaker 1: Did it? 00:33:14 Speaker 3: Just? 00:33:14 Speaker 1: Like? 00:33:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, It's one of those things when you're in college and then you just kind of go your separate ways. 00:33:20 Speaker 2: You're like, I'm so busy, like maybe next year getting to do Yeah, okay, I'm glad we clarified that because you guys, you guys kept saying overlap. We had like I think that was. 00:33:34 Speaker 1: It was overlap. Overlap was the word. 00:33:36 Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, and the words yes. 00:33:41 Speaker 3: I don't know why that was what word we chose, but. 00:33:47 Speaker 1: Every day. 00:33:49 Speaker 2: No, I understand why you said. It's like we had one person that like overlapped in our dating list, like but not at the same time, but it made it so like you it was the same time, and I was like, how have they not expanded on this. 00:34:05 Speaker 3: With that one? 00:34:05 Speaker 4: Yeah? 00:34:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, crazy? Okay, So we have a lot left in the season, obviously, a lot to come, Alison. We don't know how long or short your journey is. You don't know what happens with you, but we know you're there next week. So can you give us, like maybe a teaser for what we can expect the rest of the season without giving anything away? 00:34:27 Speaker 4: You know, I can't say much, but let's just say there are definitely a lot of fun dates, a lot more drama to come. Yeah, and you'll definitely just have to tune in and see for the rest I know. 00:34:41 Speaker 1: All right, Allison? With that, with that in mind, keep that same mentality here would either of you if you're not with Joey. Well, we know Lauren you're not. That's why I said, said Alison, keep the same mentality here would I either of you go on Paradise. 00:35:03 Speaker 3: So for me, it's more of like a game time decision. I feel like, like if I feel mentally there, because obviously I wasn't like just going out doing my thing before on this show and I think I would need like more mentally prepare for like what's coming, because I don't think I did that this season. So if I was in a good spot and I feel like I've healed and I'm more in like a good mental space, I think I would. But I think I'll have to address that at that time, or maybe I'll find a man. Well, I could end up with Joey. 00:35:30 Speaker 2: So true. 00:35:31 Speaker 4: But if I don't, then I could potentially see myself going to Paradise. 00:35:37 Speaker 3: I mean me and morm both there would be dredging. 00:35:41 Speaker 1: Would you go? That's what I'm saying, would you go? Would you go together? 00:35:44 Speaker 2: I find if you would, I. 00:35:46 Speaker 3: Mean I definitely would. I like my movement. I'm just kidding. 00:35:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean there's there's multiple guys there, so you don't have to you don't have to overlap this time. 00:35:54 Speaker 3: Actually it's even better. Yeah, well I think it's better. I would definitely. Sorry, I don't one. 00:35:59 Speaker 2: Do you guys have this same type? Like do you other than your one overlap? Do you tend to go for the same guys? 00:36:04 Speaker 3: Yes and no. I think like sometimes like looks like as we go for like darker actually blondes. I really have a time here. Yet there's really like a type. 00:36:13 Speaker 2: We just we're so different. 00:36:15 Speaker 3: You feel like our type wouldn't be the same anyways, Like we wouldn't be somebody's type. Yeah, that makes sense. I'm not saying that right, No, like us going on the show. Also, like originally when we went on the show, we were like, Joey's not gonna like both of us. 00:36:28 Speaker 1: We're so different you're saying, Okay, okay, yeah, either you were just saying like neither of you or anyone's type. 00:36:40 Speaker 2: No, I get what you're saying, Like if if Joey's really into Alison, he's not likely to be like really into you also or vice versa, because you guys are very different personality. It's like looks wise, you're kind of this, like you look very similar, but like personalities, you're bringing different things to the table. Yes, gotcha? 00:36:56 Speaker 1: All right, all right, we're gonna play a game before we let you guys go rapid fire. 00:37:00 Speaker 3: Okay, it gets. 00:37:01 Speaker 2: Actually is it rapid fire? It is, but it's like the Newlyweds game rapid Fire. So we'll ask like who's more likely to and like you guys can both answer. 00:37:11 Speaker 1: I know, Yeah, Okay, who wants to answer first? 00:37:16 Speaker 2: No answered the same time, will answer one of them? Have you have you looked? So it's like who's messier? 00:37:24 Speaker 1: And then it'll be like, yeah, I got it? Okay, oh yeah, all right, good luck, okay, thank you? I told you I was off today, and all right? Who's more dramatic? 00:37:37 Speaker 3: Easy? Yeah? 00:37:39 Speaker 1: Who's most likely to take the other's close without asking these? Who takes longer to get ready? 00:37:49 Speaker 3: Maybe you around the same she gets are you ready like twenty minutes before you? 00:37:53 Speaker 1: Usually for our listeners, say a name, Oh yeah, yeah. Who's more high maintenance? 00:38:00 Speaker 3: Lauren? 00:38:02 Speaker 1: Who got in trouble more as kids? L Lauren? 00:38:05 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:38:05 Speaker 1: Who's the better driver? 00:38:10 Speaker 3: Definitely? 00:38:11 Speaker 1: Who's the funniest I'm gonna go into me. I'll take this one, Laura Laura. Who's the best dressed Alison? Where's your clothes? 00:38:26 Speaker 3: Not always? 00:38:28 Speaker 1: Who's the best cook? 00:38:30 Speaker 3: Allison? 00:38:32 Speaker 1: Who's more of the daared devil? Who's most likely to get into a fight? Who's the messiest? Who's most likely to be a heartbreaker? 00:38:47 Speaker 3: Mm hmm tie can we type for that one? 00:38:51 Speaker 1: But yeah? 00:38:52 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:38:53 Speaker 1: Who's most likely to fall in love fast? Me? 00:38:56 Speaker 3: Easy? All right? Maybe both of us? For that one. 00:39:00 Speaker 1: You tie on that one too, Yeah, okay, tie all around. Okay. 00:39:04 Speaker 2: I feel like like if we're gonna have so I have a sister too. We're like two and a half years age different to like very similar, do you, guys? And I feel like you guys like need to switch ages to fit like the stereotype for older sisters younger sister. Do you know what I mean? Like Alison fits all the stereotypes for being the older sister, and Lauren, you're fitting the stereotypes for being younger sister. I know you guys are also flipped. 00:39:26 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:39:28 Speaker 3: Usually anyways, every time they always guess me. 00:39:31 Speaker 2: Really well, thank you so much for coming on today. Guys. I'm really sad Lauren to see you go. I hope that you're in Paradise very much. 00:39:39 Speaker 3: So. 00:39:40 Speaker 2: You were very fun and entertaining to watch, and we hope that if you're on parentises because you fell in love and Alison, we're excited to keep watching you on this journey. I'm excited to see more of your time with Joey because I feel like we've seen a lot of your time with Lauren, so we're excited to kind of zoom in on your relationship and all this to come this season. 00:39:59 Speaker 1: Yeah, you too, you took my exit. 00:40:01 Speaker 2: Sorry, Joe says, did oh. 00:40:06 Speaker 1: I say the same. One thing I will say is now that I watch more reality TV because lately I've been watching reality TV. When like one of your favorite people leave, you're like, God, damn it. Yeah, you're fucking up my show, Lauren, you fucked up my show episode two? How dare you? 00:40:20 Speaker 2: You know what? She She had good reason to go.
