29 \\ High Ticket Offers Not Selling? Fix Your Content Strategy and Build Real Client Connection

Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses - Small business marketing, Social media marketing, Social media strategy

Selling a high ticket service?

In this episode, I’m breaking down why traditional content marketing doesn’t always work for high ticket offers, and what to do instead to create content that converts.

We’ll talk about why trust building is non-negotiable for high ticket services, the three types of posts that create real client connections and drive content that converts, and how to shift from shouting into the void to a soul-centered engagement strategy. I’ll also share what I learned from helping a grief coach land clients, without changing her offer, and why relationship marketing is the secret weapon for sustainable lead generation.

If you're a coach, consultant, or creative with a high ticket service, this episode is your permission slip to stop chasing trends and start building real relationships.

So grab a cozy drink, open that notes app, and let’s turn your content into conversations that convert.

With all my support,

Chey

Actually, as a Christian, I'm often amazed at how Jesus did this. He always taught through parables. So parables are stories, right? He wanted to impact the people around him, and instead of sharing more of just a more straight-laced teacher approach of "Well, you need to do this, you need to do this," he created a story narrative that shared people like so that they could see themselves in the story and relate in that way.
Tired of showing up online, posting your heart out and still hearing crickets? Are you doing all the right things, but wondering why your content isn't converting? Your DMs are dry and your audience isn't buying. You're not alone, and this podcast is exactly for you.
Welcome to Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses, where strategy meets soul and connection. Well, that's the secret sauce. Hi, I'm Cheyanne Cleyman, a wife, proud mama of three, former actress and fitness trainer turned serial entrepreneur and online relationship expert.
Over the last decade, I've built my own brands, helped dozens of others grow theirs, and discovered one powerful truth: connection is the real currency. If you're a service-based business or high-ticket brand that wants more leads, trust and sales from social media without the burnout or fake hype, you're in the right place.
Each week, I'm bringing you short, powerful, and packed episodes that feel like a coffee date with a best friend and biz coach all in one. Let's turn your followers into clients and content into connection. This is Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses, and it's about to change how you show up online.
Let's dive in, boss.
Hey, hey, hey everybody. Welcome back, or welcome for the first time, to Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses, the podcast where we get real about building genuine trust online and not just chasing vanity metrics. That's like a swear word around here.
I'm Cheyanne, founder of Kuleana Connect, where we specialize in engagement and lead generation that actually converts, but not through more posts, but through more connection.
So if you've got a high-ticket offer or a service, say you're a realtor, a coach, a consultant that truly helps people, but people keep ghosting after they hit your page, I understand that pain. Well, I was you, but I'm not you no longer, and today's episode is going to shift the way you show up online.
Before we dive in, can I ask you something? Do you ever wonder what to post when your offer isn't something flashy or trendy, but instead something deeply transformational, or say, service-based? Are you selling something that requires a leap of faith, or maybe even a little vulnerability from your right ideal client?
Are you secretly frustrated that people are watching your stories but never reaching out? Well, if you feel yourself nodding along, let's fix this. Because truth is, trust-based offers need trust-building content, not just more how-to tips or graphics.
Go ahead, get out your pen and paper if you're old school, or open up the notes section on your phone, and let's get ready to dive in and start creating content that matters.
So here's the truth that no one is telling you. I feel with an opening like that, I feel a little bit like a conspiracy theorist. Don't worry, that's not one of these podcasts. But I am about to drop a little bit of a truth bomb on you.
The higher your price point, the higher your trust point needs to be. I'm going to repeat that. The higher your price point, the higher your trust point needs to be.
So think about it. If your offer involves big money or, say, sensitive topics like some sort of life transformation, weight loss, healing after divorce or long-term transformation, you're not going to convert strangers with a trendy reel or a carousel alone.
Those type of things, honestly, they work best for companies that are like an ice cream shop or a jewelry company or an online clothing store.
But what works for someone in your shoes?
Three different points for you:
Story-driven, relationship-centered content
Posts that slow the scroll and spark a sense of "I feel like you're talking directly to me"
Proof that you understand their actual life and not just their algomorific behavior
Basically, you're speaking so clearly to them that they don't feel like, "Oh, you're just another company or brand that was pivoted to them because of what they're scrolling about."
Let me share with you guys a quick example. So at Kuleana Connect, we worked with a client who offered private grief coaching. She kept saying, "I don't know what to post. This just isn't something that people just buy online, right?"
She was really struggling with, "What are my keywords? Do people even Google this? What do I do? What do I do?" And she was very right about one thing: people don't impulse buy grief support, right?
Grief is one of the hardest things, I think, for anyone to process and go through or grow through. And it is something that they're not just going to click and sign up with someone.
But don't lose hope, because if you are a grief support counselor or a coach or a realtor or a consultant or a coach of some sort, do know that people will invest if they feel seen, safe, and like you actually understand what they're going through.
So my recommendation from years of experience, instead of pushing the features of what you offer, or instead of pushing your credentials or your fancy certifications, we decided, what we did with our client and what I would suggest for you, is to shift. Shift your content.
And we shifted her content toward quiet trust signals. The loud ones, when you're really trying to be loud with things that you're trying to build trust, it just makes people feel at unease, right?
So we would just do gentle little stories, kind of so people felt seen. Mirror-like language using the same language that her ideal clients would use.
And behind the scenes, we showed up in the comments, and we direct messaged people like a human and not a marketer. We made sure that they knew that we weren't a bot. And within weeks, she had booked multiple clients without changing her offer. The biggest thing that changed was the way she connected with people.
So you clicked on this episode because you must be struggling with your content or your content strategy, and you want to know, what can I do to pivot? What can I change?
Well, here are the nitty gritty points of this episode. I'm going to give you three kinds of trust-building posts that really work, especially for high-ticket service-based businesses, you know, the ones like yours.
So first and foremost, make sure you write this down or type it out, are story posts. So these are sharing like short client stories, moments from your own life, your own transformation, or behind the scenes of how you serve.
Now I name these story posts, but that doesn't mean that they have to be in your stories, like in Instagram stories or YouTube Shorts or your TikTok videos. They can live on in a reel. You can put them in a blog post. You can go live and share these things.
This is more of the theme of the content, because people really want to see themselves in what you do. So sharing stories is going to be the best way to do that.
I actually, as a Christian, I'm often amazed at how Jesus did this. He always taught through parables. So parables are stories, right?
He wanted to impact the people around him, and instead of sharing more of just a more straight-laced teacher approach of "Well, you need to do this. You need to do this," he created a story narrative that shared people like so that they could see themselves in the story and relate in that way. And that's what I would encourage you to do with your own content.
Number two, it's a little bit of the same, but value-driven posts. So answering questions like, What do you believe about your industry, your work, your client's experience, right?
This is going to help people get to know you. Where the story posts are sometimes a little more about your clients, like I did earlier in this episode, I told you a client story, the grief coach, how we helped her, well now pivot. This is more about you.
Who are you? Why does this work matter to you? What have you learned as a coach? How did it feel to get that family in that specific house as a realtor?
My encouragement would be to be bold and be real.
And number three, the quote "I get you" post, right? So this is your chance to name the exact moment your client is in better than they even can. So this is copywriting gold. This can come from a lot of research and getting to know your clients even better.
This is why our clients, we always encourage them to do a little bit of market research within their current clients, or people they've helped, or people they've, you know, say they're a transformation coach and they went through a transformation with other people, getting those words, those exact quotes from people of how their transformation happened, how it's helped them, getting it in those words, and then turning those around and putting them into posts, are going to be gold.
Okay. Now, when you look at these three content topics, story posts, value-driven posts, and quote "I get you" posts, none of these are about selling, right?
They're about another S word that is definitely a favorite around here at Kuleana Connect. Did you catch it? It's safety. They're all about safety. Helping your audience feel safe before they become clients, because safety and trust is what sells.
And if you're wondering why your content isn't converting yet, that's probably why you clicked on this episode, even though you're showing up consistently, go ahead and grab our free download. It's called "Five Quiet Reasons Your Content Isn't Converting, and What to Do Instead."
It's full of insights for high-trust brands who are doing all the things but still are hearing crickets. You're going to find that link right in the show notes below.
And if you're ready to stop shouting into the void and actually start conversations with people who need what you offer, let's talk. At Kuleana Connect, it's my husband and I and a small team. We really focus on the individual.
We don't do content. We do connection. We handle the engagement, the lead generation, and the relationship-building strategies that help people say, "I knew you were the one for me."
So let's go ahead and book a free connection call and find out if we're a fit to partner together. You can find that link in the show notes below.
All right, guys, we're here at my favorite part of every episode. I am all about taking action and making sure that you walk away every episode with something you can implement.
So your challenge this week is: write one post that doesn't try to teach anything. Okay, Scout's honor, can you do that for me? Instead, write something that makes your dream client feel deeply seen.
Maybe it's a story. Maybe it's one simple, single sentence. Maybe it's a belief you hold that your audience is just crazily craving to hear.
And then what do you do? You wrote it, and now it's time to send it to your email list, or post it, or even say it in a story, or maybe just do all three.
I promise you will be amazed at the shift that happens when trust is the goal, not just the traffic.
I want to thank you guys again for showing up and being here on Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses. Give yourself a big pat on the back.
If you have another friend who's a small business owner who needs this gold, please go ahead and share with them this episode.
And if you would, quickly just hit subscribe so you don't miss a future episode and go ahead and write me a simple Apple Podcast review. It would really help this podcast get into more people's hands so more small businesses can grow and make sure that their connection converts to conversions, and they help more people, and they keep doing what they're meant to do, which is work in their business, not slave, not be more on social media, and grow their business in a very beautiful, happy, blissful way.
Remember, boss, keep showing up with heart, and we'll see you on the next episode of Social Media Marketing for Small Business.
All right, my friend, that's it for today. Well, let me leave you with this: if your content is not converting, it's not your fault. Chances are you've been taught to prioritize the algorithm instead of the actual humans reading your words, and that ends right here.
Go ahead and grab my free guide, "Five Quiet Reasons Your Content Isn’t Converting and What to Do Instead." It’s packed with real talk, practical shifts, and quick, immediate wins. Link is in the show notes below.
