<v Speaker 4>My bigfoot sightings started about a year ago. It was
<v Speaker 4>March the first, twenty twenty five, and a friend of
<v Speaker 4>mine who's a member of the BFRO called me up
<v Speaker 4>and asked me if I'd like to go out looking
<v Speaker 4>for bigfoot. And since I'd never been out there before,
<v Speaker 4>I said why not. So we went to an area
<v Speaker 4>not far from where I live that is a reservoir
<v Speaker 4>that is backed up by BLM land and we started
<v Speaker 4>driving around looking for bigfoot. And since I'd never been before.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't have any idea of what I was doing.
<v Speaker 4>I was basically me trying to learn from someone that
<v Speaker 4>was more experienced. And as we drove around these mountain
<v Speaker 4>roads in this area, I had been up there before
<v Speaker 4>and had noticed some very strange looking trees, things that
<v Speaker 4>were didn't look natural. And as we drove around, we
<v Speaker 4>were drinking iced tea and I had to relieve myself.
<v Speaker 4>So I asked my friend to pull over, and we
<v Speaker 4>found a spot that we could do and I went.
<v Speaker 1>Over to water a tree.
<v Speaker 4>And while I was standing there, I noticed there were
<v Speaker 4>three young trees that were coming from different directions that
<v Speaker 4>were woven together. It was over a game trail, and
<v Speaker 4>it just looked really odd. So I wasn't really a researcher,
<v Speaker 4>so I asked him to go ahead and snap a
<v Speaker 4>picture while I illuminated with my flashlights. This kind of
<v Speaker 4>triggered something in me, and when I got home, I
<v Speaker 4>started searching the internet for tree structures and Bigfoot. Now
<v Speaker 4>the whole reason I was interested in going out with
<v Speaker 4>him to do this.
<v Speaker 1>This is back in.
<v Speaker 4>September of twenty twenty three. I was taking my garbage
<v Speaker 4>out to the street, placing the can at the edge
<v Speaker 4>so that they could pick it up. And I heard
<v Speaker 4>this really strange whistle and it wasn't like a human whistle.
<v Speaker 4>It lasted way too long and it was very strange tones.
<v Speaker 1>And so.
<v Speaker 4>I lived near a winery and this was a Thursday
<v Speaker 4>night at about midnight, and the people that work the
<v Speaker 4>winery start working before the sun comes up, so by
<v Speaker 4>eleven o'clock at night they are asleep. And I was like, well,
<v Speaker 4>I wonder if it's my neighbors. I don't think they're
<v Speaker 4>imbibing their own products, especially on a Thursday night. I
<v Speaker 4>was really confused about it. So a week passed and
<v Speaker 4>again it was trash night. I was taking my trash
<v Speaker 4>back out to the street again and I heard what
<v Speaker 4>was a very strange howl, and it sounded a bit
<v Speaker 4>like a canine howl, but it was really long, and
<v Speaker 4>at the end of it it dropped.
<v Speaker 1>Into deep bass tones.
<v Speaker 4>And so I didn't know what to make of this,
<v Speaker 4>and I didn't say anything to anybody, because you know,
<v Speaker 4>I'm hearing strange sounds out on my property. And so
<v Speaker 4>the following Sunday, when I was at church, I asked
<v Speaker 4>my pastor, you know, I heard some strange sounds. What
<v Speaker 4>do you think this could be? Well, it turns out
<v Speaker 4>he and one of the members, another member of my church,
<v Speaker 4>said it was Sathquatch, and of course I was very skeptical.
<v Speaker 4>I literally said, no way, that's not what I heard,
<v Speaker 4>because to me, fath Watch was the local legend that
<v Speaker 4>my neighbors took advantage of selling chainsaw carvings of the creature.
<v Speaker 4>I just thought it was a tourist trap kind of thing,
<v Speaker 4>and it wasn't something that was even on my radar
<v Speaker 4>or anything that I had interest in. And so my pastor,
<v Speaker 4>Kevin Linley, started sending me audio samples of Ron Moorhead's
<v Speaker 4>Sierra sounds, and I listened to all of them, and
<v Speaker 4>he sent me six clips. And it wasn't until I
<v Speaker 4>was about halfway through the last clip that he sent
<v Speaker 4>me that I heard the exact whistle that I heard
<v Speaker 4>from my driveway, and literally the hair stood up on
<v Speaker 4>my arms. I was like, you got to be kidding me,
<v Speaker 4>this thing's real. And so that got me curious. So
<v Speaker 4>when I went out on March first, twenty twenty five,
<v Speaker 4>I went out with Ed, who is the gentleman who
<v Speaker 4>also goes to my church he and I went up
<v Speaker 4>on the mountain and when I found that tree weave
<v Speaker 4>and came back and searched it.
<v Speaker 1>I searched for tree structures.
<v Speaker 4>And bigfoot and I wasn't expecting anything, but I got
<v Speaker 4>over one hundred thousand hits on the search engine.
<v Speaker 1>It literally blew my mind.
<v Speaker 4>So I started looking at all the photographs because I
<v Speaker 4>was like, well, maybe i'll see one that looks like
<v Speaker 4>what I saw. And it was very interesting, but this
<v Speaker 4>wasn't something I was pursuing. So we flashed forward to
<v Speaker 4>April twenty sixth to twenty twenty five and Ed calls
<v Speaker 4>me up and says, let's go out bigfooting again. And
<v Speaker 4>I was sitting at home watching a John Wayne movie
<v Speaker 4>that I've seen a hundred times already, so I was like, sure,
<v Speaker 4>let's go. And on that adventure, we found some actual evidence.
<v Speaker 4>We found some animal bones that had been broken. But
<v Speaker 4>the interesting thing about the brakes is that they were
<v Speaker 4>twist fractures where the bone had literally been twisted and
<v Speaker 4>the ends were splintered. You could literally see the torsion.
<v Speaker 4>What was interesting about the bones is that there were
<v Speaker 4>no teeth marks. If it had been a regular predator,
<v Speaker 4>like a mountain lion or a bear. There would have
<v Speaker 4>been teeth marks on the bone as it was peeling
<v Speaker 4>the flesh from the bone, and there wasn't any of that,
<v Speaker 4>and so that had me curious. Gone, okay, that's very strange.
<v Speaker 4>And again, this wasn't something that I was pursuing. And
<v Speaker 4>so at the beginning of June, Kevin asked me if
<v Speaker 4>I would like to go and help him out with
<v Speaker 4>his booth at the festival. And I was like, well,
<v Speaker 4>what festival are you talking about? And he said, oh,
<v Speaker 4>well in Glide, because I live in the Unca Valley
<v Speaker 4>of Oregon, just outside of Roseberg, and Glide has a
<v Speaker 4>squatch festival every year.
<v Speaker 1>And I was like, well what festival.
<v Speaker 4>He said, well, it's the Glide Sasquatch Festival and I
<v Speaker 4>need some help with my booth. So when a friend
<v Speaker 4>asked you to help out, you go help out. Again,
<v Speaker 4>this wasn't something that I was interested in. In fact,
<v Speaker 4>it was kind of a little side joke that was
<v Speaker 4>running with me. And what I did all day was
<v Speaker 4>basically keep the rain off of his cat the footprints,
<v Speaker 4>and during the course of the festival, which was on Saturday,
<v Speaker 4>one of the presenters was Todd Nice, And again I
<v Speaker 4>didn't know who anybody was in the sasquatch research field.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't know who any podcasters were. I didn't even
<v Speaker 4>know who Ron Moorehead was. I didn't know who anybody was.
<v Speaker 4>And so I was having a conversation with Todd Nice,
<v Speaker 4>basically trying to learn, and our conversation drifted into infrasound.
<v Speaker 4>Being that I'm a filmmaker and have an extensive resume
<v Speaker 4>in the business, there are certain frequencies that affect human physiology,
<v Speaker 4>and as an animator, you need to be aware of
<v Speaker 4>these things because it can happen with sound, strobing, lights,
<v Speaker 4>or frame rates of film, and you kind of need
<v Speaker 4>to avoid these because certain frequencies can cause epileptic seizures
<v Speaker 4>and it's really bad publicity if the patrons are flopping
<v Speaker 4>on the floor of the movie theater, really not a
<v Speaker 4>good thing. So this conversation maybe went ten minutes, and
<v Speaker 4>I watched Todd's presentation and afterwards, you know, I was
<v Speaker 4>critiquing it because I'm basically as smarty pants, and he
<v Speaker 4>invited me to a researcher's only retreat called Beachfoot, and
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, but I'm not a researcher. He goes, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>but you have knowledge we don't have. And so I
<v Speaker 4>wasn't sure I was going to go, and Ed, who
<v Speaker 4>I'd been out with, finally decided that we should go.
<v Speaker 4>And so we went to Camp Wilkerson, which is to
<v Speaker 4>the northwest of Portland, for the last ever Beachfoot And
<v Speaker 4>it's basically a camp out where all the researchers get
<v Speaker 4>to the public's not invited. There's no merchandise sales. It's
<v Speaker 4>not like any of the other festivals. And again, the
<v Speaker 4>only person that I knew there was Todd, who I'd met,
<v Speaker 4>and Ed, who I go to church with. So I
<v Speaker 4>walk into the pavilion and here's this cool old guy
<v Speaker 4>with a really neat hat, and I'm like, nice hat.
<v Speaker 4>So I sit down and start talking to him. And
<v Speaker 4>I should mention that Kevin had given me a list
<v Speaker 4>of Sasquatch research luminaries. He said, have you run into
<v Speaker 4>any of these people, you should talk to them, and
<v Speaker 4>I said, talk to him about what he goes, just
<v Speaker 4>be yourself. And so I sat down at the table
<v Speaker 4>with this old guy with the hat and was chatting
<v Speaker 4>with him for about fifteen minutes. And realized that I
<v Speaker 4>was being rude and hadn't introduced myself.
<v Speaker 1>So I said, Hi, my.
<v Speaker 4>Name's Stan, and he said Hi, my name's Ron and
<v Speaker 4>I said, as in Ron Moorhead.
<v Speaker 1>He said, yeah, that's me, and I went.
<v Speaker 4>I'm supposed to talk to you, and Ron, being really
<v Speaker 4>quick on the comeback, said well you've been talking to
<v Speaker 4>me for fifteen minutes already, which we laughed about. And
<v Speaker 4>you know, I was milling around just meeting people, getting
<v Speaker 4>first names. I didn't know who anybody was, and watched
<v Speaker 4>a couple of the presenters and learned some new things,
<v Speaker 4>even fixed the audio before they started because there were
<v Speaker 4>some problems with the microphones, so some presenters are better
<v Speaker 4>than others. And I smoked, so I went out back
<v Speaker 4>to go have a cigarette, where I met a gentleman
<v Speaker 4>named William Morris.
<v Speaker 1>And William, who I.
<v Speaker 4>Know is Bill because that's how I introduced himself, was
<v Speaker 4>also one of the names that was on my list.
<v Speaker 4>So when I said, hey, wait a minute, i'm supposed
<v Speaker 4>to talk to you. You're on my list, he said
<v Speaker 4>what list? And I explained the whole situation, and Bill
<v Speaker 4>and I had a really lengthy conversation that evolved over
<v Speaker 4>the course of that Fourth of July weekend, since that's
<v Speaker 4>when they held Beachfoot. And here at Beachfoot, I met
<v Speaker 4>a whole bunch of other researchers and investigators and heard
<v Speaker 4>all kinds of phenomenal evidence. But I'm still very skeptical
<v Speaker 4>about this whole thing. I hadn't seen one of the time time,
<v Speaker 4>I'd only heard noises and seen a tree weave. But
<v Speaker 4>that was enough to peque my curiosity to where I
<v Speaker 4>wanted to learn more. So during the course of the weekend,
<v Speaker 4>Bill and I became really good friends. We were talking
<v Speaker 4>about everything and everything under the sun, and we barely
<v Speaker 4>even touched on the big hairy guys. And it was
<v Speaker 4>Saturday night that we were standing out back when we
<v Speaker 4>heard a whoop, and everybody else at the place was like, oh,
<v Speaker 4>did you hear that?
<v Speaker 1>They were kind of freaking out running around, and Bill was.
<v Speaker 4>So nonchalant about the whole thing, and he told me
<v Speaker 4>that he'd had quite a few sightings at that time.
<v Speaker 1>So we exchanged.
<v Speaker 4>Numbers and he invited me up to take a class,
<v Speaker 4>and he was going to take me out in the
<v Speaker 4>woods and show me how to look for evidence, you know,
<v Speaker 4>what I should be looking for, tree breaks, tree structures
<v Speaker 4>what he called sasquatch highways, which are basically hallways that
<v Speaker 4>have been carved through the trees that they frequent and
<v Speaker 4>you know, I was like, Wow, this is great. I
<v Speaker 4>got an expert who's willing to take me out in
<v Speaker 4>the field and show me what I should be looking for.
<v Speaker 4>And the whole idea was if I knew what I
<v Speaker 4>was looking for, that when I was out hunting or
<v Speaker 4>hiking in my local area, I would be able to
<v Speaker 4>recognize evidence of their activity. And so it took a
<v Speaker 4>little while to coordinate, and at the end of July
<v Speaker 4>we ended up having a point in our schedules where
<v Speaker 4>I could get down there, and so I went down
<v Speaker 4>on a Monday, the twenty eighth of July for what
<v Speaker 4>was supposed to be a three or four hour CLI.
<v Speaker 1>And the class stopped being a class.
<v Speaker 4>After our first stop at a tree structure that we
<v Speaker 4>have since dubbed the cathedral because that's what it looks like,
<v Speaker 4>and it turned into a full blown investigation. From that
<v Speaker 4>point forward, we couldn't move fifty to seventy five feet
<v Speaker 4>down the road without seeing a tree break, a tree structure,
<v Speaker 4>and by tree break, I'm not just talking a tree
<v Speaker 4>that broke and fell over. I'm talking two or three branches,
<v Speaker 4>all broken in the same direction, all seven to eight
<v Speaker 4>feet up off the ground, with no other damage to
<v Speaker 4>any of the other trees in the area. This got
<v Speaker 4>my curiosity going even more, and we found.
<v Speaker 1>All kinds of stuff. And I mean when.
<v Speaker 4>I say it took us three hours to go a
<v Speaker 4>mile up the road, I'm not kidding, because every seventy
<v Speaker 4>five hundred feet we had to stop because there was
<v Speaker 4>something else that just didn't fit this picture. By the
<v Speaker 4>time we got a mile up, there was an embankment,
<v Speaker 4>and we were looking for animal sign.
<v Speaker 1>On the side of the embankments.
<v Speaker 4>Deer trail places where the leaf litter was disturbed. And
<v Speaker 4>Bill spied a deer trail, and so we stopped and
<v Speaker 4>we hopped out, and as he was looking at the
<v Speaker 4>deer trail, obviously looking to see if maybe there were
<v Speaker 4>some footprints that were nearby, I found footprints a little
<v Speaker 4>further down the embankment.
<v Speaker 1>They were probably.
<v Speaker 4>Sixteen to seventeen inches long by eight inches wide, but
<v Speaker 4>they were old because they had leaf litter in them.
<v Speaker 4>And Bill, when I shouted that I see a print,
<v Speaker 4>I see toes. Bill started going down further down the
<v Speaker 4>hill when he saw what looked like a washout on
<v Speaker 4>the side of a really steep part of the embankment,
<v Speaker 4>and as his angle and perspective changed, he suddenly shouts
<v Speaker 4>out icy toes. And it turned out that this was
<v Speaker 4>a print that had been freshly made that morning. It
<v Speaker 4>was undeniable, the ridges were clean. We ended up finding
<v Speaker 4>two knuckle prints and a knee print directly under it.
<v Speaker 4>Because the embankment was so steep that when the fourth
<v Speaker 4>person jumped up onto the embankment, they started to slip,
<v Speaker 4>so they had to put both hands down because you
<v Speaker 4>could see the knuckleplint prints clearly, and a knee to
<v Speaker 4>keep from sliding down this really steep embankment. So we
<v Speaker 4>were thrilled, and it was a very challenging angle. So
<v Speaker 4>we sat there and tried to engineer a way that
<v Speaker 4>we could create a form so that we could cast print,
<v Speaker 4>and we went up to go look at some other
<v Speaker 4>spots that day that Monday. We're at about five hours
<v Speaker 4>at this point of investigating, and my brain was literally
<v Speaker 4>hitting overload at that point, and.
<v Speaker 1>So we talked about it.
<v Speaker 4>I decided to spend the night down there, and we
<v Speaker 4>were coming back up on Tuesday, twenty ninth, so that
<v Speaker 4>we could cast that print. And we came up with
<v Speaker 4>a really ingenious way of making a cardboard form that
<v Speaker 4>we could nail over it or the plaster in from
<v Speaker 4>the top.
<v Speaker 1>It was.
<v Speaker 4>It was quite a feed of engineering, and so the
<v Speaker 4>whole plan on Tuesday was for me to spend the night,
<v Speaker 4>go back up on Tuesday and cast that print. Well,
<v Speaker 4>we got all of our supplies and we got all
<v Speaker 4>the way up there, and right before we're doing this,
<v Speaker 4>we're sitting in the van having a little lunch, and
<v Speaker 4>being that I'm a professional photographer, I was looking at
<v Speaker 4>some harsh transitions between light and shadow on the road.
<v Speaker 4>And while I'm staring at this one transition, which I'm
<v Speaker 4>trying to figure out in my head what camera settings
<v Speaker 4>I would use to capture this, because typically with this
<v Speaker 4>kind of contrast, either the light spots wash out or
<v Speaker 4>the dark spots become so dark that there's no detail
<v Speaker 4>in it. And I'm sitting there trying to figure out
<v Speaker 4>how I would photograph this transition. When I see what
<v Speaker 4>looks like a heat shimmer like you would see in
<v Speaker 4>the desert on hot asphalt move across the road on
<v Speaker 4>the edge of the light dark transition.
<v Speaker 1>That wasn't the weird part.
<v Speaker 4>Weird part was it looked like feet that were shuffling.
<v Speaker 4>And you've seen this effect if you've ever been out
<v Speaker 4>on the desert and looked at the horizon. It looks
<v Speaker 4>like a mirage because it's literally the waves of heat
<v Speaker 4>moving in the air. And these conditions couldn't exist on
<v Speaker 4>the mountain. It was not hot enough, the road is dirt.
<v Speaker 4>It couldn't have absorbed enough heat to do this. And
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, well, that's weird. So I said, Bill, did
<v Speaker 4>you see that? And he's like, see what? And so
<v Speaker 4>I described it to him and he started telling me
<v Speaker 4>about something they call the woo, which again I don't
<v Speaker 4>know anything about this. I'm out on a class and
<v Speaker 4>he's like, you probably just saw one. And I was like, like,
<v Speaker 4>you're serious and he's like yes, And so I still
<v Speaker 4>wasn't quite buying it. We finished lunch, we finished the forms,
<v Speaker 4>We had the plaster ready to go, and I took
<v Speaker 4>the form to go put it up on the print
<v Speaker 4>so that we could cast this print.
<v Speaker 1>Again.
<v Speaker 4>That was our sole mission. On Tuesday, was to cast
<v Speaker 4>this footprint. And as I walk up, start climbing up
<v Speaker 4>the embankment, and when I say it's a steep embankment,
<v Speaker 4>it's greater than forty five degrees.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not even within five feet.
<v Speaker 4>When Bill says he sees the details of the print,
<v Speaker 4>particularly the ridges that were between the toes, start disintegrating
<v Speaker 4>before his eyes, and I look and you literally see
<v Speaker 4>all of those details fall into the hill, which at
<v Speaker 4>that point we realized it was kind of a waste
<v Speaker 4>of time to try to cast this because we weren't
<v Speaker 4>going to get any of the detail. So we were
<v Speaker 4>very disappointed. Walked around the edge of the embankment. We
<v Speaker 4>didn't want to walk on the embankment because we didn't
<v Speaker 4>want to destroy what was already there, and we walked
<v Speaker 4>up on top of the hill where we found forty
<v Speaker 4>more prints on the hill, including one that was twenty
<v Speaker 4>two inches by twelve inches. And that's when I first
<v Speaker 4>saw my first Sasquatch Highway, what literally looks like a
<v Speaker 4>hallway that's been carved through the trees, where the branches
<v Speaker 4>on the inside of the hallway have been stripped to
<v Speaker 4>the tree trunk. Yet the branches on the outside of
<v Speaker 4>the trees are intact. It literally looked like a freight
<v Speaker 4>train had plowed its way through the forest. And that's
<v Speaker 4>what he was explaining to me, that, yes, they make
<v Speaker 4>these corridors, these highways to make it easier to go
<v Speaker 4>between the areas that they frequent and again, I'm a
<v Speaker 4>complete novice.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know any of this stuff.
<v Speaker 4>So disappointed, he decided to take me up to a
<v Speaker 4>couple other locations in his research area and places where
<v Speaker 4>he's found evidence and had sightings. And we'd been up
<v Speaker 4>there probably four or five hours when he said, well,
<v Speaker 4>I'm going to take you to this spot where I
<v Speaker 4>saw my last sighting, where I had a forty five
<v Speaker 4>minute hangout with them in the area. And I was
<v Speaker 4>like completely intrigued by this. I was like, sure, let's go.
<v Speaker 4>And we get up there and we're looking around and
<v Speaker 4>he had some photographs of the time when he was there,
<v Speaker 4>and I was trying to walk the ground to compare
<v Speaker 4>the angles and to you know, verify that yes, this
<v Speaker 4>was where he took this photograph.
<v Speaker 1>It's an investigative technique that.
<v Speaker 4>If I can stand in the same place where someone
<v Speaker 4>is taking a photograph, it lends veracity to their photo
<v Speaker 4>because I was able to duplicate the angle. While I'm
<v Speaker 4>trying to do this, Bill notices toe marks on the
<v Speaker 4>embankment a little further up the road.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, I see toes. They look so fresh, So
<v Speaker 1>I stop.
<v Speaker 4>I go over and I'm looking at it, and he's
<v Speaker 4>busy photographing. And while he's doing that, I get the
<v Speaker 4>sensation that I'm being stared at, that there is eyes
<v Speaker 4>on me. It's a creepy kind of feeling, and it's
<v Speaker 4>one that I've paid attention to my whole life and
<v Speaker 4>my whole career. So I stop, I look up, I
<v Speaker 4>start scanning around, and about seventy five feet up the embankment,
<v Speaker 4>in the crook of a y shaped tree is a
<v Speaker 4>head and shoulders and the blackest fur I've ever seen,
<v Speaker 4>And by black, I mean light absorbing black. There was
<v Speaker 4>no sheene, no reflection. And I stood there looking at it,
<v Speaker 4>having my camera ready to shoot in my hand. I
<v Speaker 4>had an argument with myself. I'm like, Okay, you're up
<v Speaker 4>here to learn about this and you want to see
<v Speaker 4>one really bad. Are you really seeing what you think
<v Speaker 4>you're seeing or is your mind playing tricks on you?
<v Speaker 4>Because you really want to see one. And even though
<v Speaker 4>I had a camera in my hand, I didn't have
<v Speaker 4>the presence of mind to take a photo. I was
<v Speaker 4>literally looking at something that I've been told doesn't exist.
<v Speaker 4>I did have enough presence of mind to mark a
<v Speaker 4>spot on the ground where I was standing with my
<v Speaker 4>heel so that I could walk away and then come
<v Speaker 4>back and stand in the exact same position and see
<v Speaker 4>if it was there. So I marked the ground, walked
<v Speaker 4>about twenty yards to where Bill was photographing the footprints
<v Speaker 4>on the embankment, took my own shot of one of
<v Speaker 4>the footprints on the embankment, and then returned to the
<v Speaker 4>spot where I was standing. About thirty seconds later, found

<v Speaker 4>standing in the crook in the middle of the y
<v Speaker 4>split was gone, and I was like, oh, it's not
<v Speaker 4>there anymore. So I thought, just like the iron sights
<v Speaker 4>on a rifle, if you're slightly off with the blade
<v Speaker 4>on the barrel, it doesn't line up and you're not
<v Speaker 4>going to hit the target. I thought, well, maybe I
<v Speaker 4>lined up a burnt stump or something further up the
<v Speaker 4>hill that was black, and you know, maybe I am
<v Speaker 4>you know, it's wishful thinking, you know, maybe I'm not
<v Speaker 4>seeing what I think i'm seeing. So I start walking
<v Speaker 4>down the road to change the angle so I can
<v Speaker 4>look at what's behind and further up up the hillside
<v Speaker 4>from this wide shaped tree. So I get down probably
<v Speaker 4>fifty yards, and I can see clearly the whole hillside,
<v Speaker 4>and there is nothing black anywhere on the hillside. No
<v Speaker 4>burnt stumps, no mossy rocks, there is nothing black there. Well,
<v Speaker 4>about another seventy yards further up the hill there was
<v Speaker 4>a huge tree that had fallen, and the Forest Service
<v Speaker 4>had come and cut it into smaller chunks so the
<v Speaker 4>tree wouldn't roll down the hill and take out more trees.
<v Speaker 4>The base of the tree was probably fifteen feet long
<v Speaker 4>and easily five to six feet in diameter. And I'm
<v Speaker 4>scanning the hillside when my eye catches the movement and
<v Speaker 4>the same black head and shoulders stood up behind the
<v Speaker 4>base of the tree. And I was thinking, well, maybe
<v Speaker 4>it's a black bear, because black bears will pop up
<v Speaker 4>and stand on their hind feet. Well, this stood there
<v Speaker 4>and we had a staring contest.
<v Speaker 1>For about two minutes.
<v Speaker 4>And while it was standing there, it was shifting its
<v Speaker 4>weight from foot to foot and I'm like, well, bears
<v Speaker 4>don't do that either, And I said, Bill, do you
<v Speaker 4>see this?
<v Speaker 1>And he goes, Bill was.
<v Speaker 4>Laughing because my facial expression completely changed. He goes, what
<v Speaker 4>are you seeing? And I go something that's not supposed
<v Speaker 4>to exist. And he goes, congratulations, You've just had your
<v Speaker 4>first face to face encounter. He goes, are you afraid?
<v Speaker 4>I said no. He goes, are you going to freak out?
<v Speaker 4>I said no. He goes, how are you feeling? I said,
<v Speaker 4>I'm awestruck because I just saw something that I've been
<v Speaker 4>told doesn't exist. And he goes, well, just ignore him
<v Speaker 4>and I said why, he goes, cause the hang around longer.
<v Speaker 1>If you ignore them, if you don't pay him any attention.
<v Speaker 4>And so that was my first three sightings on one day.
<v Speaker 4>The face to face was at six thirty seven pm Tuesday,
<v Speaker 4>July twenty ninth. I'll never forget the time. It's ingrained
<v Speaker 4>in my memory forever. At that point, we stopped our
<v Speaker 4>investigation for the day because I was kind of blown
<v Speaker 4>away by the whole thing.
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't expecting to see anything. I wasn't expecting to
<v Speaker 1>find any evidence. Again, it was supposed to be.
<v Speaker 4>A three or four hour class where I was going
<v Speaker 4>to be taught what kind of evidence to look for
<v Speaker 4>when I'm out in the woods. I didn't expect it
<v Speaker 4>to find footprints, to get photos, or to see one,
<v Speaker 4>and when I did see one, it literally blew my mind.
<v Speaker 4>I focusing on doing the simple tasks at that point
<v Speaker 4>was pretty much impossible because my whole perspective on this
<v Speaker 4>area of research shifted in an instant on that Tuesday evening.
<v Speaker 4>From that point going forward, strange things have happened. Bill
<v Speaker 4>and I spent a lot of time on the phone,
<v Speaker 4>and Bill deserves a metal because he held my hand
<v Speaker 4>while my mind tried to wrap itself around this new
<v Speaker 4>version of my reality. And we talked quite a bit,
<v Speaker 4>and Bill eventually offered me a partnership in research, which
<v Speaker 4>we are now known as the Sasquatch Puzzle, and we
<v Speaker 4>have a Facebook page and we have a YouTube channel,
<v Speaker 4>and we're producing videos about what we find, how we
<v Speaker 4>find it. We're also planning to do some instructional videos
<v Speaker 4>on how to do casting and what to look for
<v Speaker 4>when you're out in the field, and that's been a
<v Speaker 4>thing that we've been putting together. We just released a
<v Speaker 4>video last week about some of the weirdness that has
<v Speaker 4>been happening ever since my sightings. And this weirdness is
<v Speaker 4>actually happening at my house. I get prints, I get gifts,
<v Speaker 4>they move stuff in my yard. They've destroyed a few
<v Speaker 4>things that were in my yard. And the video we
<v Speaker 4>just did is called the Light Show. I had a
<v Speaker 4>high pressure sodium lamp in my yard that they were
<v Speaker 4>manipulating the color on. At least that's what we think
<v Speaker 4>it is, because when I talked to a couple of
<v Speaker 4>different engineers, including one from the electric company who maintains
<v Speaker 4>and it is actually their light, they said, oh yeah, no,
<v Speaker 4>if it's changing color, it's going to fail immediately. He goes,
<v Speaker 4>you want us to schedule to come out, and said,
<v Speaker 4>well wait till it fails.
<v Speaker 1>It took over ten weeks before it failed, and.
<v Speaker 4>It would do these weird color shifts and then jump
<v Speaker 4>back to a normal high pressure sodium light. And again
<v Speaker 4>I was told, once they start doing this color shift thing,
<v Speaker 4>failure is imminent.
<v Speaker 1>And it kept going.
<v Speaker 4>In fact, Bill came up on one of the days
<v Speaker 4>we researched in my area here where I live. He
<v Speaker 4>started interacting with it asking for specific colors and they
<v Speaker 4>were coming up, which kind of made me a little
<v Speaker 4>jealous because it's my light at my house. I never
<v Speaker 4>thought to ask, So the stepped going and eventually the
<v Speaker 4>bulb burnt out, and when I called, I expected him
<v Speaker 4>to replace it with another high pressure sodium light because
<v Speaker 4>I actually enjoyed the light show, and they brought out
<v Speaker 4>a brand new LED fixture and.
<v Speaker 1>It was way brighter. And apparently.
<v Speaker 4>My visitors didn't appreciate that because that was the.
<v Speaker 1>First time I ever smelled one.
<v Speaker 4>And I will tell you that is an aroma that
<v Speaker 4>once you smelled it, there is no mistaking it. It
<v Speaker 4>was probably one of the worst things I've ever smelled
<v Speaker 4>in my life. And for the next four nights I
<v Speaker 4>was treated to that same smell. And I also happened
<v Speaker 4>to be working on Ron's audio book at the time,
<v Speaker 4>because I kind of produced Ron moore Heads Voices in
<v Speaker 4>the Wilderness audio book available on Rodmorehead dot com. And
<v Speaker 4>it was a complete interesting adventure. And the thing is
<v Speaker 4>is these adventures continue to be ongoing. I have activity
<v Speaker 4>practically every day and it's a little strange. But when
<v Speaker 4>this started, Bill reminded me that he goes no matter
<v Speaker 4>how big or how small, if it's something that's out
<v Speaker 4>of the ordinary, you need to document it. So that
<v Speaker 4>kind of started us on this whole adventure. Now when
<v Speaker 4>we find strange stuff, it's document, document, document.
<v Speaker 1>I hate that word. I haven't been out in a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks because of weather.
<v Speaker 4>Obviously, some of our research areas are fairly high in elevation,
<v Speaker 4>and it's not that we can't get there, it's the
<v Speaker 4>question of whether or not we can get back. At
<v Speaker 4>the beginning of December, we went with Bill's son to
<v Speaker 4>a place called Applegate where we found trackways with over
<v Speaker 4>two hundred prints, and there will be a video coming
<v Speaker 4>up about our three day adventure. But during that adventure
<v Speaker 4>we cast probably forty prints out of it, most of
<v Speaker 4>them being juveniles with mid tarsl breaks and complete accurate
<v Speaker 4>toe details.
<v Speaker 1>We found.
<v Speaker 4>Footprints instructures that were near the area, including one that
<v Speaker 4>was twenty six inches by fifteen inches, literally the biggest
<v Speaker 4>foot I've ever seen. There's a photo of it with
<v Speaker 4>my pack of cigarettes in the middle because I didn't
<v Speaker 4>have the tape measure on me on my Facebook page.
<v Speaker 4>The interesting thing about that is there's leaf litter in
<v Speaker 4>the print. And leaf litter surrounding the print. All of
<v Speaker 4>the leaf litter surrounding the print is curled, yet the
<v Speaker 4>leaf litter inside the print is flattened and broken, evidence
<v Speaker 4>that this was created very very recently, just before I
<v Speaker 4>found it, and while I was taking photos and tried
<v Speaker 4>to get measurements, Bill heard a tree break in the area,
<v Speaker 4>so we assume the maker of the print was still
<v Speaker 4>in the area. During this three day adventure in the forest,
<v Speaker 4>in different areas, the forest was eerily quiet, meaning there
<v Speaker 4>were no bird sounds, no squirrels, no other wildlife at all,
<v Speaker 4>almost like there was no wind at all.
<v Speaker 1>Because it was just super quiet.
<v Speaker 4>It was just a little unnerving, and we kind of
<v Speaker 4>figured that they were in the area and that they
<v Speaker 4>were observing us, and it was a reasonable assumption because
<v Speaker 4>every time we got out, it was just dead silent.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm used to having squirrels chatter at me when
<v Speaker 4>I'm walking through the woods. I'm used to hearing the
<v Speaker 4>birds and the wind and everything else, but none of
<v Speaker 4>that was happening while we were there. So yeah, it's
<v Speaker 4>been an interesting year since I found my first tree structure,
<v Speaker 4>and a weird sequence of events that put me into
<v Speaker 4>the middle of a research field that frankly I never
<v Speaker 4>considered serious or thought I would have myself involved in.
<v Speaker 4>So that's my story. It's ongoing. In fact, yesterday Bill
<v Speaker 4>went back to the applegate looking around to see what's finding,
<v Speaker 4>and he found some new structures. And we're both eager
<v Speaker 4>for the weather to break a little bit so we
<v Speaker 4>can get up there and I can film some of
<v Speaker 4>what we found. Again, we're not up there actually looking
<v Speaker 4>for them. What we're looking for is things that don't
<v Speaker 4>fit the natural paradigm. We're looking for things that looked
<v Speaker 4>like they were obviously built. Some of the tree structures.
<v Speaker 4>One of the measurements that we do is we check
<v Speaker 4>him for alignment, and surprisingly most of them aligned to
<v Speaker 4>true north on a compass. I was asked recently why
<v Speaker 4>do I think they do that, and I said, well,
<v Speaker 4>we do something similar. We call them street signs. Though
<v Speaker 4>if you weren't in an area for a while and
<v Speaker 4>you wanted to find your way back, you use street signs. Well,
<v Speaker 4>it's kind of a similar concept for them. It's all
<v Speaker 4>very interesting. We never know what we're going to find. Again,
<v Speaker 4>we're just looking for things that look out of place,
<v Speaker 4>things that look like they were built. One of our
<v Speaker 4>videos is called Where's the Trees, where we found trees
<v Speaker 4>that had been obviously broken off. We found the pine
<v Speaker 4>bows from the trees, basically the branches that were obviously
<v Speaker 4>torn off. There were no chips from an axe or
<v Speaker 4>a hatchet, there were no sawdust from a saw obviously,
<v Speaker 4>and the branches had stringers of bark coming off of them,
<v Speaker 4>so they were obviously torn off.
<v Speaker 1>The problem was in this.
<v Speaker 4>Twenty foot by twenty foot area there was seven trees
<v Speaker 4>that were missing. The pine bows were there, but all
<v Speaker 4>of the trunks of the trees were missing, and within
<v Speaker 4>about fifty feet we found a trackway of footprints. They
<v Speaker 4>were washed out and it was raining pretty.
<v Speaker 1>Good that day.
<v Speaker 4>As we started panning around and spreading out and doing
<v Speaker 4>a grid search, we found several more footprints and over
<v Speaker 4>one hundred tree breaks, and it ended with us finding
<v Speaker 4>another Sasquatch highway, another tunnel or hallway going through the forest.
<v Speaker 4>So what we thought was just a weird anomaly turned
<v Speaker 4>out to be an area of high activity. And every
<v Speaker 4>time we go out we tend to find something and again,
<v Speaker 4>and we're not looking for bigfoot, we're not looking for Sasquatch.
<v Speaker 4>We're just looking for things that don't seem to fit. Exes, arches,
<v Speaker 4>tree stacks, teps. The amount of structures are just amazing.
<v Speaker 4>And they're not just here in Oregon. I've seen photos
<v Speaker 4>from the Colorado Bigfoot Society. I've seen photos from New
<v Speaker 4>Jersey Sasquatch. I've seen photos from the Florida group, And amazingly,
<v Speaker 4>all of the tree structures have so many similarities that
<v Speaker 4>this cannot be a coincidence. And the fact that it's
<v Speaker 4>all across the country tells me that this is something
<v Speaker 4>And I really would love to learn what these structures
<v Speaker 4>and what these symbols actually mean. And it's not like
<v Speaker 4>the forest people hang out and let us know. And
<v Speaker 4>by the way, forest people is the term that we prefer,
<v Speaker 4>because they are people, they appear to have family structures.
<v Speaker 4>They build these sites, and I mean, you wouldn't build
<v Speaker 4>something if you weren't going to use it. You wouldn't
<v Speaker 4>build a house and then not live in it. So
<v Speaker 4>if they're going to take the time and energy to
<v Speaker 4>build something, a structure of some sort, this is obviously
<v Speaker 4>a place where they return quite often. And so it's
<v Speaker 4>been a mind boggling year, the structures the evidence. I
<v Speaker 4>have a couple of twists that we have cut from
<v Speaker 4>the forest. Tree brakes where they twist are kind of
<v Speaker 4>interesting because in order to twist something, you need an
<v Speaker 4>opposable thumb to grip, and you need a wrist to
<v Speaker 4>be able to rotate. So when we find suff like this,
<v Speaker 4>it's kind of shocking, especially since some of these branches
<v Speaker 4>that are broken and twisted are several inches in diameter,
<v Speaker 4>and there's no way a human being, I don't care
<v Speaker 4>how strong or how much weight they lift, you could
<v Speaker 4>not break this three inch branch and twist it anywhere
<v Speaker 4>from ninety to two hundred and seventy degrees. Again, we
<v Speaker 4>take measurements in all of this. One of the things
<v Speaker 4>we started doing is measuring electromagnetic fields in the area.
<v Speaker 4>We have noticed that where there are structures, and again
<v Speaker 4>we're not looking at one or two things. Most of
<v Speaker 4>the stuff we find are tree brakes, xes, and all
<v Speaker 4>of these things within a fifty to seventy five foot
<v Speaker 4>radius of each other. It looks very busy like something
<v Speaker 4>has been happening. They're ongoing for a while. The more
<v Speaker 4>interesting ones that we found is in a video of
<v Speaker 4>ours called dreamweaver where a sixty to seventy foot long
<v Speaker 4>tree is suspended horizontally, and the horizontal tree is actually
<v Speaker 4>woven around five other trees, so the horizontal tree is
<v Speaker 4>no longer straight, it's literally bent around the other trees.
<v Speaker 4>And if somebody could tell me how that happens naturally,
<v Speaker 4>I'm all ears because that doesn't make sense. So I
<v Speaker 4>hope you enjoyed my little story here. It's ongoing and
<v Speaker 4>there's always something new that seems to be happening.
