Since childhood, Laney had been able to see a strange visitor. The playmate
that she used to have and others would also see, was not from this
world. My name is Edvan and he hears Lane's true scary story. The
house was my grandpa's house. He bought the house, I think in nineteen
ninety. It was a main house and my mother in law suite. In
the main house. We had four bedrooms, a master bedroom and three other
rooms were all connected by this really long hallway. Our house really long.
Every room was just a straightaway, the kitchen, the dining room, and
then you keep walking there's the living room and there's a super long hallway.
We lived there for a couple of years when I was really young, and
my parents bought their own house, and my mom and dad divorced in twenty
ten, so we ended up moving back in with my grandpa. But when
I was a kid, it wasn't too bad, I think, just because
I was small. I remember at one point when I was probably like two,
my grandma had this china cabinet and she had all of these pictures family
members I had passed away, and really old photos. My mom saw me
in the dining room looking at all these pictures and my mom was like,
what are you doing, lady? And I was like, you know,
pointing at them. I was able to point out three people and say their
names, pefically what my mom's aunt, and her name was Marnie. My
mom was like, how do you know that? And I was like,
she told me Marnie had died I think four years before I was born.
That kind of weirded my mom out because she's like, who told you?
And of course, being little, I was pointing at somebody and my mom
was like, no one, no one's there. We moved out of the
house. I never really heard anything else from my grandpa when I moved you
back in twenty ten. That's when it got really really bad. My room
and my brother's room were across the hall from each other, and then my
mom's bedroom wasn't the very end of the hall. Her door based all the
other rooms. She would see a figure walking back and forth between me and
my brother's room. She would hear me talking in my sleep. It would
be like a conversation, and my mom woke me up. She's like,
many who are you talking to? And like, I haven't talking to anybody.
I was just conversating with somebody. Apparently we had been cleaning the house.
Flowers a vacuum right next to my bedroom door, and my mom saw
a little girl walk in my bedroom. I would be sitting in my room
playing with toys, you know, like Polly Pockets and that kind of stuff.
My mom would hear me talking with somebody, and she looked into my
room and the toys were literally moving in front of me. I was not
touching them. I remember sitting there playing with somebody. Why I just stop
it as normal. My mom and me talked about it, and I guess
this little girl told me her name was Alice. She became a pretty common
thing in the house. She would play with toys with me in my room.
My mom would see her up and down the hall. Things started getting
really creepy. There would be nights that I would be laying in my bed.
I remember one night in particular, I was laying in my bed and
I had this Hello Kiddy night light. It was always on. It was
plugging your wall. It never burned out, it never needed the batteries changed
anything like that. And it cut off the same time that it turned off.
I could hear what sounded like a scratching sound on my wall. I
went and I got my mom and my lights started working working in a little
pan. I'm crying, hear something. My mom was like, it's probably
just the wind. Don't worry about it. My mom was like, to
go back to bed. I went back to my room. The light turned
back on. This is super weird. Nothing never turned off, especially at
night. An hour passed and it started again. I started feeling this really
bad burning sensation on my back. I went into my mom's room and I
was crying, and it being a parent, my mom was like, you
know, let just sleep in bed with me tonight. The next morning,
from where I was sleeping, I was facing the window. My mom looked
at my back and I had three really bad dashes. We didn't have cat,
we didn't have a pet that could have done that. That really scared
my mom and she was like, you know, lan Nes, you fall
on something. Did you fall out of bed? She was just didn't really
want to accept the fact that there might be something there. A couple of
weeks later, there was an incident where the lights, all of the lights
in the house would just shut off. It would be out of nowhere.
My grandpa. He's like, oh, it's probably the power, you know,
there's something wrong. But it would just be so it would be random.
It would just everything would just shut off. Pictures would fall off the
walls. The bathroom was the very first door going on the hallway. One
night, I was in there taking a shower. I heard this really really
strong growl on the opposite side of the shower curtain. It scared me so
badly. I screamed for my mom. I was like, something's in here.
I don't know what's going to I could not bring myself to look on
the other side of that shower curtain. The lightning actroom just went off.
It was completely black and there. I couldn't see anything. I could hear
my mom trying to get into the bathroom. She couldn't get in. Something
was either holding the door closed. I don't know what was going wrong.
She couldn't get into that room. It felt like I was just in there
for hours and my mom probably got the door open and she's like, what's
wrong, you know, And I was like I couldn't, you know,
I couldn't get out. And I told her about the growley. She was
like, Okay, well, we're we're gonna look into it and you know,
see what's going on. I didn't like to be home alone at that
point. My childhood friend, she would come over a lot during the summer
and stay with me. She was hanging out with me at the house.
Min had told her about stuff that had happened, and she believed me.
We were walking out of my room. I had a cross necklace that someone
from school had given me because I was telling her about what was going on,
and she was like, I think that you should have this. It
seems like you're really scared, so I had it on. I was walking
behind my friend and I remember feeling my neck worth wulfed off of my neck.
Before I knew it, something had grabbed my hair and started pulling me
down that hallway. I started screaming. My friend was grabbing my leg and
was trying to pull me because I was on my back. That's how throng
whatever had pulled me. It was pulling me down the hallway. My friend
was screaming. I was screaming. At some point, either my hair had
physically ripped out of my head or it had given up. I don't know
what happened, but I got loose because I was past my bedroom. There
was the bathroom, the laundry room, and then mine and my brother had
told me from the beginning of the hallway that enters into the living room all
the way back to almost my bedroom door. Me and my friend ran out
of the house. I called my mom and I was crying. She came
home and she was like, we're gonna call your dad's friend knows someone that
does paranormal investigations. We're gonna get them more. Call the paranormal investigators arrived
to the house. The rest of Laney's story continues right after this Stay with
us. When an intruder threatens your home, every second counts. So why
I am so excited to tell you about the latest innovation from simply Safe Home
Security. It's called twenty four to seven Lifeguard Protection, and it's made possible
only by Simply Safe's new smart alarm, wireless indoor camera, now with a
fast protect monitoring plan. If an intruder breaks into your home, simply Safe
monitoring agents can actually see, speak to and deter them through the camera,
warning them that they're being recorded and that police are on their way. It's
a game changer. In home security. A couple of weeks ago, I
got a call from my parents who are taking care of Jack's, my dog,
say that he was in hiding mode, you know when something's wrong.
They zoned did in on the problem and it seemed like he had been kicked
in the abdomen and we had no idea who had done it. We suspect
that someone went in through the gate and that's when Jacks came out and that
happened, and that's when we search for a home security system. But speaking
of pets, Simply Safe can tell the difference between intruders and pets thanks to
advanced motion detection and vision AI. The new camera is the only indoor security
camera that has built in siren to scare off intruders and to trigger the alarm.
Would simply say professional monitoring costs under one dollar a day, which is
a bargain for what you're getting. Peace of mind right now. True Scary
Story listeners get a special twenty percent off any Simply Safe system when you sign
up for fast protect monitoring. This huge offer is for a limited time.

scary. There's no safe, like simply safe. He came out and brought
his two guys that worked with him, and then they brought all their equipment
eat stuff out. As he was walking through the house, he walked into
my room and what we think was the little girl that I played with when
I was smaller literally just poke her head out into the camera, just right
there, clear as day. They were like, when are you seeing this?
So you're seeing this? I looked and I was like, that's how
to be Alice. So that's what I knew her as As they continued down
the hallway, the guy recording things, he was like, I'm not feeling
too good. You're starting to feel kind of sick. My mom had a
master bedroom closet that was attached to the room. When he walked in there,
it was weird because I was looking at from the camera's point, there
was something dark in that closet. Whatever he saw, he ran out of
the house. He was terrified. He was like, y'all need to call
somebody else. I'm sorry that moment they left like they were like, we
wish we could be more help. They were terrified of what could have been
going on. We didn't know what to do. Three days after that had
happened, we all went out to dinner for I think it was my brother's
birthday. We had a really long driveway. There's the driveway and then there
was the house, and then there was wood behind. On the way back
home, we had left the lights on in the house because we knew we
were going to be coming home to a dark house. As we're coming down
on this driveway, every single light shut off, every single one, and
the whole property was pitch black. You couldn't see anything. Maybe a minute
later they flipped back on and my bedroom was facing the street so you could
see it my window. There was a black figure in my window. It
was probably over six feet tall. My mom was like, we're done,
Like this cannot keep on. We stayed in a hotel that night, we
were that terrified to go home. After that, my mom actually met someone
and I ended up getting remarried. We moved out of the house, and
I never really stopped thinking about the house. And I was talking to my
mom and I was like, you know, I wonder what that could have
been because it got foreclosed, So I'm like, I wonder what a fit
something happened where no one else wanted to live there. I started looking into
the house. That property was a plantation and the property owner was apparently not
a very nice guy, but he had a daughter that had died really young,
at eight years old, and her name was Alice. The more creepier
part about all of it, apparently they're all buried on the property their personal
family cemetery in the woods behind the house that I didn't even know about.
So we don't know if that was him or a fit with somebody else,
but from what I know of to this day, they're still buried back there.
That still really creeps me out. So now there were just dead bodies
in our backyard. We had no idea looking more into detail. When plantation
workers passed away, they were also buried on the property, but buried away
from the family. They were buried on the side of the house. They
were just buried there. I don't know what became of the house, but
that burning sensation immediately, it just made me think that it was something demonic
because it would happen more than once. I just remember that being a really
prominent time, but I would my mom would find scratches on me constantly,
so we're just kind of curious, you know, to this day, like
what it was. You can tell your own story over at true scarystory dot
