<v Speaker 1>Welcome to the WWE podcast Monday Night Raw Review. Thank <v Speaker 1>you for joining me, and we're gonna get going in <v Speaker 1>just a minute. Here with a brand new guest co host, <v Speaker 1>Anthony from Patreon, who's joining us tonight to talk about <v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw, the WrestleMania implications, the massive two heel <v Speaker 1>turns that took place on the show, a new United <v Speaker 1>States Champion, and so much more. Definitely a lot to <v Speaker 1>talk about, so let's get everything started right after this. <v Speaker 2>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre, and you're listening to <v Speaker 2>the WWE podcast. <v Speaker 1>Show, the one that everybody wants me. <v Speaker 3>I'll start for sixteen, said just Russ. <v Speaker 1>Your ass is Myron. You're gonna acknowledge me, all right, everybody, <v Speaker 1>Welcome to the w W podcas Monday Night Raw Review. Guys, <v Speaker 1>right off the bat, I apologize. I know it's Wednesday <v Speaker 1>when I'm posting a Monday Night Raw review. Not good <v Speaker 1>for downloads, not good for business. But life sometimes dictates that, <v Speaker 1>and specifically a seven month old human being dictates when <v Speaker 1>I release these episodes as I you know, just being <v Speaker 1>put through the ringer of no sleep and all that stuff. <v Speaker 1>You guysn't want to hear about that. You don't care, <v Speaker 1>and I understand that, but I'm just giving you the <v Speaker 1>reasons for it. I think you guys are owed an <v Speaker 1>explanation why. <v Speaker 3>It's so late. <v Speaker 1>So it's just life and I'm doing the best to <v Speaker 1>get these out now. That said, I do have also <v Speaker 1>mailbag coming today, so I'm doing double duty today. But <v Speaker 1>one thing about the mailbag, I will say before we <v Speaker 1>get into Monday night. You guys and I put this <v Speaker 1>tweet out there. You guys are just very passionate about wrestling. <v Speaker 1>I am too, That's why I do this, and I <v Speaker 1>appreciate all the voicemails, all the emails, everything, and you <v Speaker 1>guys are just bombarding me. And it's growing to the point, <v Speaker 1>which is great. It's a good problem to have, but <v Speaker 1>it's growing to the point where it's becoming a little <v Speaker 1>bit unmanageable for me to get done in a single <v Speaker 1>day or without splitting it into two parts, which I <v Speaker 1>don't want to do. You guys don't want to do. <v Speaker 1>You'd rather have in one episode. So what I'm gonna <v Speaker 1>do because it's just so much and it's going to <v Speaker 1>turn into a three hour plus show, which I cannot do. <v Speaker 1>What I'm gonna do is I'm limiting everyone to I <v Speaker 1>have to guys, one voicemail, one email only you know, <v Speaker 1>and and it has to be a three minute voicemail. <v Speaker 1>I love the longer voicemails from you, guys, but it's <v Speaker 1>just it's not feasible for us at this point. Now, <v Speaker 1>I was debating back and forth whether I should do <v Speaker 1>that or I should just say, Okay, we're going to <v Speaker 1>not get to everybody and cut off the show at <v Speaker 1>like an hour and a half. And if I don't <v Speaker 1>get to your your email or or whatever, I don't. <v Speaker 3>Get to it. <v Speaker 1>But I think the better way is to at least <v Speaker 1>have give more people a voice, even if it's a <v Speaker 1>more limited capacity. So guys, moving forward, please limit your <v Speaker 1>emails you know, to a reasonable length, and also your voicemails. <v Speaker 1>You can still send them via email, it doesn't have <v Speaker 1>to be through our voicemail system. But it also needs <v Speaker 1>to be just manageable. Just because I sounds like I'm complaining, <v Speaker 1>I just it's physically not possible for me to continue <v Speaker 1>to do like two and a half three hour plus <v Speaker 1>shows sometime. I mean I've gone beyond three hours sometimes <v Speaker 1>sometimes too so. And how long it takes to produce <v Speaker 1>and everything else through stuff behind the scenes that takes place. <v Speaker 1>So anyway, I'm very appreciative and the GROST show is <v Speaker 1>growing because of you guys. But just in order to <v Speaker 1>be feasible and manageable on my end, try to keep <v Speaker 1>things to three minutes or less in an email. If <v Speaker 1>you want to do an email and a voicemail, that's fine, <v Speaker 1>but just make sure it's one only. If you have <v Speaker 1>multiple voicemails, I have to pick one. I'm not going <v Speaker 1>to do multiple. I just can't. Some of you guys <v Speaker 1>send three or four voicemail I can't do it. So <v Speaker 1>like you guys are awesome, it's just I mean, think <v Speaker 1>about it from my perspective where I mean, I'm a <v Speaker 1>one man show with production and everything, so it's a <v Speaker 1>little bit. It's tough. It's tough. So thank you and <v Speaker 1>continue to send them. I mean, you know, I really <v Speaker 1>do appreciate it. So all right, with all that said, guys, <v Speaker 1>I do appreciate it, and we're gonna get into money <v Speaker 1>net roll and boy did we see two massive heel <v Speaker 1>turns or what one bigger than the other. One was <v Speaker 1>already kind of in the works. One of them was <v Speaker 1>a little bit more abrupt in Edge. Obviously, with Damian <v Speaker 1>Priest turning heel, we kind of saw that he was <v Speaker 1>flirting with heel anyway. Over the last several weeks he <v Speaker 1>now fully went heel. I think that's appropriate. Edge going heel, <v Speaker 1>I think is appropriate. I know it's abrupt, but it <v Speaker 1>feels appropriate. And we're going to get into the conversation <v Speaker 1>with Anthony, a patron of the show and is in <v Speaker 1>a tier that allows him to come on the show <v Speaker 1>once a month, which, by the way, you guys can <v Speaker 1>do too. If you join Patreon on the ten dollars <v Speaker 1>tier or higher, you were allowed to come on and <v Speaker 1>join me, just as Anthony is about to do and <v Speaker 1>co host with me. You don't have to, but it's <v Speaker 1>an option that's provided to you in the Patreon feed. <v Speaker 1>And also, guys, one last p not just for Apple <v Speaker 1>podcasts going there's an ad free button there if you <v Speaker 1>want to just do it directly on Apple Podcasts, but <v Speaker 1>also on my website. Spend a lot of time and <v Speaker 1>money redesigning the website and there's a VIP area now <v Speaker 1>where there's video updates. I have a couple up there <v Speaker 1>now as well as ad free content moving forward, I <v Speaker 1>think I have about a week and a half, two <v Speaker 1>weeks worth of ad free content there. It's not the <v Speaker 1>whole library, it's not it's not something I was able <v Speaker 1>to get all transferred over. But from the last two <v Speaker 1>weeks and until forever, you will have ad free content <v Speaker 1>for everything, and video updates that are not found anywhere, <v Speaker 1>not on TikTok, not on Instagram, not on Patreon. Even so, <v Speaker 1>consider going ad free and getting video updates on ww <v Speaker 1>podcast dot com. Click the VIP button you'll see like <v Speaker 1>a there's like a login button, or go vip area <v Speaker 1>and use the promo code WrestleMania because that'll get you <v Speaker 1>fifty percent off the first month. The first month is <v Speaker 1>three bucks, but if you use that promo code, it's <v Speaker 1>a dollar fifty. So i'd really recommend that you do. <v Speaker 1>It's a going to be that promo code's only going <v Speaker 1>to be valid through WrestleMania, so i'd encourage you to <v Speaker 1>get yourself signed up. All right, well, everybody again, before <v Speaker 1>I jump into anything else, I want to give the <v Speaker 1>conversation over to myself and to Anthony, because I think <v Speaker 1>we had a great conversation for the first time of <v Speaker 1>us ever talking. I think we had a really nice <v Speaker 1>chemistry and I appreciated him coming on. And I think <v Speaker 1>a new voice is always good. You guys know that <v Speaker 1>because I put many of you to sleep, so I'll <v Speaker 1>take that as a compliment. All right, Well, that's enough <v Speaker 1>for me right now. I'm going to hand it over <v Speaker 1>to Anthony and myself as we talk about Monday Night Raw. <v Speaker 1>I'll be back later tonight with the mail bag. So <v Speaker 1>thank you everybody as always for listening, and I'll talk <v Speaker 1>to you next time. All right, everybody, welcome to Monday <v Speaker 1>Night Raw. And with the magic of editing and the <v Speaker 1>magic of behind the scenes. You guys don't even know. <v Speaker 1>This is the second time we're doing this because my <v Speaker 1>recorder on my Skype decided to not work. <v Speaker 3>It is now working. <v Speaker 1>And the reason I'm saying that is because I have <v Speaker 1>with me a new a new co host here from Patreon. <v Speaker 1>Anthony from Arizona is here and I want to introduce <v Speaker 1>him and and first of all say thank you for <v Speaker 1>supporting the show. But I'm really excited to have you here. <v Speaker 1>How you doing doing quite well? <v Speaker 4>Man? Glad to get on the show and chime in <v Speaker 4>my thoughts. Opinions and uh, you know, leave a leave <v Speaker 4>a get a good good leave my thoughts on. <v Speaker 1>The show, absolutely, and you know before we get started, <v Speaker 1>and I didn't do this the first time around, so <v Speaker 1>I guess the second time is a little bit better <v Speaker 1>because we had some damn good content. But we'll make <v Speaker 1>it better here. What I want to ask is, let <v Speaker 1>everyone know, how did you get into wrestling and when <v Speaker 1>did you get into wrestling? <v Speaker 4>Who goes back man back in like two thousand and <v Speaker 4>seven is when I kind of stepped my feet into wrestling. <v Speaker 4>I think my uncle was the first guy who was <v Speaker 4>like kind of into it, and he got my grandfather <v Speaker 4>into it. And when when I started watching with my grandfather, <v Speaker 4>you know, the first matches I ever seeing were you know, <v Speaker 4>seeing just Undertaker on SmackDown and you know, just just <v Speaker 4>a good It was a good era for me and <v Speaker 4>that I was definitely enjoying. And the first paper guy <v Speaker 4>I ever saw was that WRESTLINGIA twenty three and I <v Speaker 4>got into a batift Undertaker. I mean, that was a <v Speaker 4>great match. And so I stayed up with wrestling up <v Speaker 4>until about twenty ten midway or so I fell out <v Speaker 4>of the picture. From twenty eleven to about twenty seventeen, <v Speaker 4>and when I got back into wrestling was the WrestleMania <v Speaker 4>where the Hardy Boys re united and came together and <v Speaker 4>kind of been following a long since, and it was <v Speaker 4>for a while it was mild, but over this last <v Speaker 4>year year and a half, more so when I started <v Speaker 4>listening to this podcast, I mean, I've been more heavily <v Speaker 4>invested into wrestling again and definitely funded a great escape <v Speaker 4>for me. I mean, it's definitely enjoyable. <v Speaker 3>That's really cool. <v Speaker 1>I mean, do you hear everyone's stories of when they <v Speaker 1>drop off. I've talked to so many people that just <v Speaker 1>drop off of wrestling for many years, all of a <v Speaker 1>sudden come back and they're they're invested in the product again. <v Speaker 1>It seems to never really leave them. You know, once <v Speaker 1>they watch it again, they start getting right back into it. <v Speaker 1>And you started in seven that is a hell of <v Speaker 1>a time. While it is kind of the end of <v Speaker 1>the Ruth of Discretion era and starting of the PG era, <v Speaker 1>you did have some excellent match, like you said, Taker <v Speaker 1>Batista Undertaker HBK at WrestleMania twenty five in Houston, that <v Speaker 1>was again to me, still one of the best, if <v Speaker 1>not the best WrestleMania match of all time is that matchup? <v Speaker 1>But yeah, and then coming back in twenty seventeen, I <v Speaker 1>was actually at that WrestleMania in Orlando, and sadly, stupidly, <v Speaker 1>the only time that I moved from my seat was <v Speaker 1>I don't know, I was going to get a T <v Speaker 1>shirt or going in to the bathroom or some I <v Speaker 1>can't remember the damn Hardy Boys music hit as I <v Speaker 1>was underneath and I'm hearing it and I'm like, you <v Speaker 1>have to be kidding me. It was like one of <v Speaker 1>the biggest pops of the night, and my stupid you <v Speaker 1>know it self is downstairs getting merch and I'm like, <v Speaker 1>I will never ever forget, forgive myself for that. But yeah, <v Speaker 1>So that was a cool time, really nice. So that night, <v Speaker 1>I believe ended with Roman reigns an undertaker and that <v Speaker 1>whole debacle. <v Speaker 3>So cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's always it's always fun to hear how people <v Speaker 1>get in and out of wrestling or how they started <v Speaker 1>and so good stuff, good stuff. So let's jump into <v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw. Let's fast forward here, and we're a <v Speaker 1>few weeks away, four weeks away, roughly four and a <v Speaker 1>half five weeks until WrestleMania, and we've got a lot <v Speaker 1>of a lot of things moving forward on Monday Night Raw, <v Speaker 1>particularly headlined by Edge turning heel. We'll get to that <v Speaker 1>towards the end of the show. I mean that is <v Speaker 1>a big development, of course, Demian pret turning heel. But <v Speaker 1>let's start at the beginning of the show here, and <v Speaker 1>we'll go in order and we'll get through this, guys, <v Speaker 1>and I promise that we'll make it better than the <v Speaker 1>first one. <v Speaker 3>You didn't hear. So let's go through, and let's start <v Speaker 3>with what. <v Speaker 1>Opened the show, and that was the Kevin Owens Show <v Speaker 1>and having it start with KO. The guests on their <v Speaker 1>show were the Alpha Academy and you and I talked <v Speaker 1>the first time that nobody heard and said that they <v Speaker 1>had great chemistry. Do you have anything to say about <v Speaker 1>this particular segment and did you did you enjoy the segment, <v Speaker 1>but also the segment that led to the match. <v Speaker 4>I thought the segment was okay. It was you know, <v Speaker 4>it's the back and forth, the shoosh and the shut up, shoosh, <v Speaker 4>shut up, and then the stunner. You know, you know, <v Speaker 4>it led on into the match, and you know, I <v Speaker 4>thought it was fine. But the match again, I thought <v Speaker 4>it was a great match. I mean, no arguing it. <v Speaker 4>I mean it really set the show. I mean it was. <v Speaker 4>It was a good, good match to start with. <v Speaker 3>It was excellent. <v Speaker 1>I mean, yeah, what do you what do you expect <v Speaker 1>from these four guys? <v Speaker 3>Even Otis, who is. <v Speaker 1>Much more limited in the ring, still does his part <v Speaker 1>and does it does it well. The shooting and like <v Speaker 1>you know, all all that stuff from from Shorty g <v Speaker 1>to to what they've done here is light years from <v Speaker 1>what he was getting berated backstage. Every chance that Vince <v Speaker 1>got to write somebody a script that had to make <v Speaker 1>fun of Chad Gables height five times a show to <v Speaker 1>being one of the really shining lights right now of <v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw. In this tag team, this Alpha Academy <v Speaker 1>tag team, which when they probably when they put them <v Speaker 1>together in many months ago, I don't think there was <v Speaker 1>a lot of high hope for them, But boy have <v Speaker 1>they excelled. <v Speaker 3>To me. <v Speaker 1>They are They're not just two individuals put together and <v Speaker 1>labeled as a tag team. They feel like a legit <v Speaker 1>tag team. That's rare in WWE tag team land. So <v Speaker 1>I'm really enjoying what they've done here and the chemistry <v Speaker 1>between them, the shooting, the thank yous, the just everything <v Speaker 1>that Chad has come up with. Everything he's saying right <v Speaker 1>now is just being slapped on a T shirt. He's <v Speaker 1>doing such good work and I could see him as <v Speaker 1>a future world champion? Is that in twenty twenty two <v Speaker 1>or Vince actually pull the trigger on that given his <v Speaker 1>height and the issue the stigma around his height that <v Speaker 1>Vince has a problem with. I don't know, but Chad <v Speaker 1>Gable right now is on fire and I'm really enjoying <v Speaker 1>this tag team that this matchup, of course was excellent <v Speaker 1>and it ended with a a k O and Seth <v Speaker 1>Rollins victory. So did you have anything else to add <v Speaker 1>to this? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, to follow up with what you were saying with <v Speaker 4>a Gable there, he's definitely the mastermind behind that tag team. <v Speaker 4>And when I when I when I heard the story <v Speaker 4>about the two being the best friends and all, and <v Speaker 4>I mean they're even neighbors so here and they spend <v Speaker 4>a lot of time on the road together. They definitely <v Speaker 4>built a lot of great chemistry there. And I mean <v Speaker 4>even when they first formed, I think Michael Ritter went <v Speaker 4>on he I mean, I think he set the tone. <v Speaker 4>He always had I think he told I mean, he <v Speaker 4>essentially told us to keep keep an eye on Off <v Speaker 4>like that. I mean, they definitely did a great job <v Speaker 4>of building up over these last couple of months, and <v Speaker 4>they're doing great work right now. I think they're definitely <v Speaker 4>the tag team champions for a reason. <v Speaker 1>Yes, And I think that that's an interesting and a <v Speaker 1>good point to bring up that. But these two as <v Speaker 1>actual behind the scenes good friends and neighbors, I think <v Speaker 1>that has translated very nicely into the ring. They you <v Speaker 1>can just feel the connection with them, and I hope <v Speaker 1>that there are no plans to break this team up. <v Speaker 1>I haven't heard anything, but god forbid, I mean I've <v Speaker 1>that right now they are both exactly where they need <v Speaker 1>to be, particularly Chad Gable, and you forget that he's <v Speaker 1>an actual Olympian. I mean, the guy is a true <v Speaker 1>athlete in the in the real sense of the word. <v Speaker 1>So I'm a big fan of Chad Gable and I <v Speaker 1>can actually see him turning babyface at some point, just <v Speaker 1>kind of being that lovable but tough, you know, shorter <v Speaker 1>stature guy that has earned his credibility in front of <v Speaker 1>the fans, has grinded his teeth and all that and <v Speaker 1>the fans start to clam onto the the the catchphrases <v Speaker 1>and the shoe shoes and stuff like. I remember when <v Speaker 1>Daniel Brian started doing the yes thing. It was supposed <v Speaker 1>to be done as annoying, and it just caught fire <v Speaker 1>and fans just really gravitated to it. Now, I'm not <v Speaker 1>saying this is Daniel Brian two point zero, but certainly, <v Speaker 1>you know we've seen it before. We're catch fire. But <v Speaker 1>they do so in a way that is endearing the <v Speaker 1>fans that are endeared to that particular phrase or or whatever. <v Speaker 3>And I could see shoosh. <v Speaker 1>Or the GPA thing or the thank you being something <v Speaker 1>that is easily transferable to a baby face whenever they <v Speaker 1>turn them. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, you know, I've definitely been loving the whole you know, <v Speaker 4>al it's catchphrase and whatnot. Unfortunately, I mean like Chad Gable, <v Speaker 4>I mean, he's his character's definitely shown that he could <v Speaker 4>that he could be a champion. But of course with <v Speaker 4>the championship unification, I think it's kind of hard for <v Speaker 4>him to stack up to a guy like Roman Reigns <v Speaker 4>right now. But if he ever got the chance, I <v Speaker 4>don't know, if he had the split up from the team, <v Speaker 4>but he definitely could see himself in a higher one <v Speaker 4>of the higher mid title roles or something along that <v Speaker 4>line for ww's liking. But you know, love his character <v Speaker 4>and definitely excited to see you know how how the <v Speaker 4>weeks turn up come out Mania for the for Otis <v Speaker 4>and Gable there. <v Speaker 1>So let me ask you, let me just point blank, <v Speaker 1>what do you think is gonna happen with Stone Cold? <v Speaker 1>Do you think that they'll what will happen? I mean, <v Speaker 1>my thing is that they will. Kevin Owens and Seth <v Speaker 1>Rollins will lose that tag team match next week, There'll <v Speaker 1>be no road to WrestleMania for the two, and then <v Speaker 1>Austin may follow suit the week after once, you know, <v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens just brates Texas for the eighth week in <v Speaker 1>a row. Finally we get Stone Cold to come out <v Speaker 1>and defend the entire state of Texas. And so that's <v Speaker 1>my guess if they're. <v Speaker 3>Going to do a match. <v Speaker 1>But what's your thought on Stone Cold, Steve Austin and <v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens? Do you think it's going to happen or <v Speaker 1>not happen? <v Speaker 4>It's tough. I want to see I think I'd want <v Speaker 4>to see it, I mean, and you know, obviously Stone <v Speaker 4>Cold doesn't want to put anything lackluster you know on TV. <v Speaker 4>He definitely wants to put up you know, the best <v Speaker 4>of him. Do I think, you know, like you said, <v Speaker 4>do you think a match will happen? We're unsure, but <v Speaker 4>you know, maybe he shows up as a stunner next week, definitely. <v Speaker 4>You know, I have Alpha Akademe retaining there. I don't <v Speaker 4>think Rawlins and Ko are ready to win the championship <v Speaker 4>right now. However, it's kind of you know, going in <v Speaker 4>the Mania. I mean it's kind of hard not I mean, <v Speaker 4>how do you how do you not put seth Rawlins <v Speaker 4>into the show? I mean, he definitely deserves a spot there, <v Speaker 4>and if KO is the only one getting a ticket there, <v Speaker 4>so be it. But it'd be you know, you can't <v Speaker 4>just you know, throw out this old dumb old Texas <v Speaker 4>thing just for nothing. I mean, they're definitely they're definitely <v Speaker 4>doing it for a reason. <v Speaker 3>Oh no, no question about it. <v Speaker 1>And I think it will end up minimal at the <v Speaker 1>very minimum, going to be stunners and beer all over Ko, <v Speaker 1>even if it's not an actual match. But you're right, <v Speaker 1>the biggest victim right here is seth Rawlins. The biggest <v Speaker 1>collateral damage of taking the w WE Championship away from <v Speaker 1>Raw and putting it into one match, which is to me, <v Speaker 1>I've expressed many times on the show, is just a <v Speaker 1>travesty of things. You are taking that opportunity away from <v Speaker 1>Seth at WrestleMania, and you're right, you know, if Kevin <v Speaker 1>Os does go off against stone Cold, then yeah, where <v Speaker 1>the hell does that leave Seth rollins? You know that's <v Speaker 1>a that's a good question, but we'll leave that to <v Speaker 1>talk about another day. Omas versus t Bar was next, <v Speaker 1>and from our first conversation you weren't a big fan <v Speaker 1>of this. <v Speaker 4>No, I mean, we're getting the same thing every week. <v Speaker 4>Omas is just crushing upon nufterr opponent and almost tries <v Speaker 4>to I suppose maybe give a give an upper hand <v Speaker 4>to t Bar saying this is the biggest super the <v Speaker 4>biggest guy's face height wise. Maybe, But I mean, you know, <v Speaker 4>the match being a series of maybe three four moves <v Speaker 4>and you know, almost coming out to win here with ease. <v Speaker 4>It's definitely leaving us hungry for seeing something actually happen <v Speaker 4>with Omas, and I. <v Speaker 1>Don't know what that's something is. Again, I've I've said <v Speaker 1>this before. I think it's Omas who is going to <v Speaker 1>be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and <v Speaker 1>he'll win it, and he'll stand there and he'll have <v Speaker 1>to pose like Andre the Giant does on the statue, <v Speaker 1>because that's just what you do. I don't I don't <v Speaker 1>see Almas in a singles match at WrestleMania because of <v Speaker 1>his limitations. WW doesn't trust him yet. I don't trust <v Speaker 1>him yet in a matchup. He's not capable yet of <v Speaker 1>I don't think having a one on one match at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 1>There's no sign of that happening. I think that Omas <v Speaker 1>is just going to be the guy that is is <v Speaker 1>the winner of the the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. <v Speaker 1>You know that's at the That's probably what's going to <v Speaker 1>happen here. But right now, he's spinning his wheels, he's <v Speaker 1>squashing people, and you know he's he's just he's so big, <v Speaker 1>he's so limited, and I don't I'm not saying that <v Speaker 1>in a negative way because I don't need everyone to <v Speaker 1>flip flop and fly. I think having this different type <v Speaker 1>of body in different style of a match is good <v Speaker 1>for the product. I don't need every match to feel <v Speaker 1>and look the same, and Omas, I think brings that. <v Speaker 1>If anything else, he brings that sense of kind of <v Speaker 1>just just the big man match that we don't see <v Speaker 1>a whole lot of in WWE. So there is that, <v Speaker 1>and I'm a big fan of Omas. He has a <v Speaker 1>presence that is undeniable on TV when you when he's <v Speaker 1>on TV, even if his match his formulaic and kind <v Speaker 1>of boring your watch, and that's really that's such an <v Speaker 1>asset for WWE, and they know that. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, for almost right now, for me, definitely, I love <v Speaker 4>his presence. Unfortunately, I just don't think we're gonna get <v Speaker 4>a whole lot of out of them. I'm prepared for <v Speaker 4>the slow build and I'm kind of honest, quite honestly, <v Speaker 4>right now, I'm I'm more prepared to see how he <v Speaker 4>evolves backstage more so than in the ring right now, <v Speaker 4>just because it's gonna take some time. So let's let's <v Speaker 4>get some character in him. <v Speaker 3>Exactly. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, he he does need character beyond just kind of <v Speaker 1>his mean face, you know, I mean, you know, honestly, <v Speaker 1>the same thing can be said for Ronda Rowsey. And <v Speaker 1>Ronda Rowsey has got two emotional states and that's it. <v Speaker 1>It's elated or super angry, and that's all she shows. <v Speaker 1>There's no middle ground for Ronda Rowsey. But I think <v Speaker 1>Amas could could do well by showing a range of <v Speaker 1>emotions and you know, getting a little bit of depth <v Speaker 1>in his character. I think that's that's a great way <v Speaker 1>to put it and really something he could work on <v Speaker 1>that anybody and work on, regardless of their size in <v Speaker 1>the ring. So okay, Becky Lynch, do drop Nikki a <v Speaker 1>s h versus Rhea Ripley, Live Morgan and Bianca bell Air. <v Speaker 1>The biggest story coming out of this was the use <v Speaker 1>of the hair from Bianca whipping Becky Lynch in her <v Speaker 1>stomach and the sounds it made. <v Speaker 3>So take it away. <v Speaker 5>You're listening to the w w E podcast. We'll be <v Speaker 5>right back after this short break. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, definitely the whole uh you know bite, you know, <v Speaker 4>keep on nagging it, the hair of the entire match. <v Speaker 4>I definitely love that. I thought it was a good <v Speaker 4>spot there with in the turn buckle, using the hair <v Speaker 4>to just you know pull her into that urn buckle <v Speaker 4>and then you know, I mean actually had the wrapping <v Speaker 4>around the wrapping around the ropes there with the with <v Speaker 4>the with the braid, we We kind of alluded there <v Speaker 4>back in the in the first casting there about that <v Speaker 4>that that hair whip you know was her ad It <v Speaker 4>sounds nonetheless, I mean it was. It was brutal. You <v Speaker 4>could see all the welts on her skin. I mean <v Speaker 4>it was it definitely, you know, you definitely left you, <v Speaker 4>you know, feeling a little wof you know, like you <v Speaker 4>knew it hurt. Oh. <v Speaker 3>Absolutely. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>For all the flack or just pro wrestling in general <v Speaker 1>gets for being quote fake, this is one that I <v Speaker 1>would love to see somebody tell me how that one <v Speaker 1>was faked. You know, even if the sound was pushed in, <v Speaker 1>even if the sound was post edited or whatever, or <v Speaker 1>they were able to on a live show have that <v Speaker 1>ten second delay and stick that sound effect in. I <v Speaker 1>don't think they did. But even if they did, I <v Speaker 1>don't care because the results are the same. It looked brutal. <v Speaker 3>There's a real weltz. <v Speaker 1>On Becky Lynch's stomach, and it was kind of hilariously <v Speaker 1>produced by her, meaning that she wore that outfit knowing <v Speaker 1>that this is going to be a spot where they <v Speaker 1>were going to do these things, of course, but that's fine. <v Speaker 1>But she was like pushing her stomach out to the <v Speaker 1>camera instead of curling over and running backstage, which if <v Speaker 1>you were truly injured and your stomach hurt that much, <v Speaker 1>would just curl, bend over and run to the back. <v Speaker 1>But that's not what she did because it's it's fine, <v Speaker 1>it's production. She needs to make sure that she get <v Speaker 1>They get the best shot possible for all the video <v Speaker 1>packages as they do, so I get that, but it <v Speaker 1>was well done. I think it put fear into Becky Lynch. <v Speaker 1>We haven't seen her act like that before, and I <v Speaker 1>think it will result in Becky Lynch probably doing some <v Speaker 1>kind of barring of her hair and some in a <v Speaker 1>contract stipulation in the coming weeks. She'll find a way, <v Speaker 1>as the heel that she is, will try to find <v Speaker 1>a way to ban her hair as a use of <v Speaker 1>a weapon, or if she does during the match, then <v Speaker 1>she will she'll lose the matchup that it will be <v Speaker 1>a disqualification. But one last thing, of course, I gotta <v Speaker 1>ask is what do you think about Bianca Bellair and <v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch at WrestleMania and maybe maybe an early call. <v Speaker 1>Do you think Becky Lynch drops the belt at WrestleMania? <v Speaker 4>Oh well, going into Mania, definitely I know we want <v Speaker 4>to see too, We want to see more on these <v Speaker 4>two superstars. You know. Again, the match definitely, you know, <v Speaker 4>it is builds beyond going into going into the paper, <v Speaker 4>going premium live events. I'm definitely expecting a show there. <v Speaker 4>I don't see well, yeah, yeah, I would see Becky <v Speaker 4>Lynch if she's gonna lose it. I mean, I think <v Speaker 4>this is a fair time to lose it because Bianca, <v Speaker 4>you know, she had the whole go to the back <v Speaker 4>of the division. She did. She faced pretty much everybody <v Speaker 4>that was on the roster and built her way up, <v Speaker 4>and here she is in the title picture. I mean, <v Speaker 4>I would say there's no better time to give a <v Speaker 4>belt to Bianca. And following that, I mean, we'll see <v Speaker 4>what happens there with Ria Ripley. <v Speaker 1>Yeah again, yeah, re Ripley, I'm glad you brought that <v Speaker 1>up too. <v Speaker 3>You know. <v Speaker 1>Of course, Bianca Beeller got the victory here with hitting <v Speaker 1>Nicky with kod Nicky has I don't think Nikky's won <v Speaker 1>a match in like three months, and I'm not complaining <v Speaker 1>about it makes me happy. <v Speaker 3>But yeah, Ria. <v Speaker 1>Ripley, honestly, you know, is one of those stars that <v Speaker 1>you look at and go I could see her being <v Speaker 1>pushed into the main event here. I could see this <v Speaker 1>being a triple threat because Rea Ripley has made a case, <v Speaker 1>like very nice case over the last several months that <v Speaker 1>she's she's back, she's no longer an attack team, and <v Speaker 1>that she's here to play and made a lot of <v Speaker 1>noise in the last several weeks, and I think that <v Speaker 1>there is something to be said for Ria Ripley and <v Speaker 1>being in the main event. I don't think the lad <v Speaker 1>heard of the as as a triple threat. Uh to <v Speaker 1>make it a triple threat? Do you think they'll actually <v Speaker 1>go that road or maybe wait till after WrestleMania and <v Speaker 1>have her face the winner at that point, I think. <v Speaker 4>They have to wait till after Mania. I think, you <v Speaker 4>know it'd be it'd definitely be a fun match to see. <v Speaker 4>But if you're if you're adding her to the match <v Speaker 4>and have maybe Bianca pen Ria Ripley, then you know <v Speaker 4>you're protecting Becky, but you're not really. I don't think <v Speaker 4>that really puts over Bianca. I think with the shortcomings <v Speaker 4>that Bianca had in the past, you definitely want her <v Speaker 4>to single handedly beat Becky, so you know sets that uh, <v Speaker 4>you know set you know, sets it forward that Hey, <v Speaker 4>I finally beat I found lead. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, exactly, And I think I think you're right too. <v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm a big fan of one on one <v Speaker 1>matches in general. It's a rule that I follow that <v Speaker 1>one on one matches to take place at WrestleMania. But <v Speaker 1>if Riha Ripley is lined up as an opponent for Postmania, <v Speaker 1>for either Bianca or Becky, that to me is perfectly fine, <v Speaker 1>and then you could do your triple threat. Maybe they <v Speaker 1>have a rematch with whoever the you know, whoever loses <v Speaker 1>the belt. Say say we have Becky drop the belt <v Speaker 1>to Bianca. Then Rhea interjects herself and at Backlash, No, <v Speaker 1>I'm not going. <v Speaker 3>To say WrestleMania Backlash, it's just backlash. <v Speaker 1>At Backlash, we will have a triple threat, and then <v Speaker 1>then you can do your triple threat. <v Speaker 3>But I'm cool with it being one on one at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 1>So okay, let's let's move on here. And this is <v Speaker 1>where we we ended our first conversation. But it was <v Speaker 1>Robert rud versus Tomaso Champa. What are your thoughts on this? <v Speaker 1>As Tomasco Champa gets a roll up victory on Rude can. <v Speaker 4>Have a have a WW show with our team we <v Speaker 4>roll up, So definitely got a love that. Uh, you know, Tampa, <v Speaker 4>Unfortunately they're they're changing playing with his music there. I've <v Speaker 4>been wondering for a couple of weeks now, I mean, <v Speaker 4>are they are they trying to push TRUMPA to the <v Speaker 4>main roster. I suppose we'll see how that turns out. <v Speaker 4>But obviously, you know, we've definitely seen the playing around <v Speaker 4>of moving superstars to down the NXT and then you know, <v Speaker 4>move some NXT to to the main roster just for <v Speaker 4>a couple of matches. So you know they'll they'll probably <v Speaker 4>keep going down that route and that's fine, but you know, <v Speaker 4>a you know, a filler match just to put it <v Speaker 4>out there and then build up towards tomorrow night with <v Speaker 4>the following up with that tonight show on nx T <v Speaker 4>two point zero with a bron breaker and Tampa against <v Speaker 4>Rude Dirt against the Dirty Dogs there, so, uh, you know, <v Speaker 4>a match just to get us by there. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't think the match was as important as <v Speaker 1>what they were trying to get to, which was the <v Speaker 1>post match beat down from the Dirty Dogs. I mean, <v Speaker 1>just to leave champelon I think that was really the <v Speaker 1>whole point of this. The rollout victory means nothing for <v Speaker 1>either man, because Robert Rude means I'm sorry. He doesn't <v Speaker 1>mean a whole lot in pro wrestling. <v Speaker 3>He just doesn't. <v Speaker 1>He's got a good body, he's got a decent look, <v Speaker 1>but he just doesn't have any value that would that <v Speaker 1>would make you concerned if he won or lost a match. <v Speaker 1>You just go, okay, he won, Oh, okay, he lost. <v Speaker 1>No one cares. I mean, like, actually nobody. And you <v Speaker 1>know it's not to say Robert rud can't be somebody, <v Speaker 1>but the way they've booked him so many years, we've <v Speaker 1>just been educated to just be numb to whatever he does. <v Speaker 1>If he wins, if he loses, no one cares. So <v Speaker 1>this didn't do anything for anybody other than push ahead <v Speaker 1>the narrative that we want to see Cha Champa get <v Speaker 1>victory over over Ziggler and eventually get revenge and beat <v Speaker 1>both of them down. I think that's ultimately what we <v Speaker 1>wanted to see, and that's the point of this whole thing. <v Speaker 1>So it was okay, it was okay. It was just <v Speaker 1>your kind of run of the mail match up here <v Speaker 1>that standard didn't do a whole lot for anybody. But okay, <v Speaker 1>let's move on. Reggie and Dana Brook versus Tamina and <v Speaker 1>Akira Tozawa. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, you go ahead, go ahead, Yeah. <v Speaker 4>You know, it's it's it's it's it's it's your I mean, <v Speaker 4>it's your launchable break there, am I right? I mean <v Speaker 4>it's I'm not sure what much to say about it. <v Speaker 4>I mean, it's it's getting a little little it's too cringe. <v Speaker 4>It's getting a little cringe to watch there with the now, <v Speaker 4>I mean, I guess I suppose w W is turning <v Speaker 4>into a makeout show. I'm not sure that's all going. <v Speaker 4>You know, Reggie and Dana, it's turning out to be <v Speaker 4>some weird couple. And then you know, to me, to <v Speaker 4>me last week, I got a kick out of it <v Speaker 4>with that to me to tossing the car on the ground. <v Speaker 4>But here, it's just it's just a little weird for me. <v Speaker 4>It's it's a little over the top. I mean, I <v Speaker 4>could do without it. <v Speaker 1>It's the entertainment part of w w E. I mean, <v Speaker 1>we got the E here in the w w E. <v Speaker 1>Uh And yeah, it's I didn't really care for this. <v Speaker 1>I mean, I guess the biggest thing coming out of <v Speaker 1>this was okay, Data and Reggie kissed, and Tamina and <v Speaker 1>Tizow Tizawa kissed. Okay, I mean got a little drama <v Speaker 1>to the soap opera. <v Speaker 3>And that's what this was. <v Speaker 1>And that's why you and I and most of the people <v Speaker 1>listening to wrestling podcasts don't like this because people listen <v Speaker 1>to wrestling podcasts are typically more the either not old fashioned, <v Speaker 1>but the long standing wrestling fan, the one that likes <v Speaker 1>kind of traditional wrestling, not necessarily the ones that are <v Speaker 1>all about the entertainmenty soap opera stuff. But it's it's <v Speaker 1>part of the show. I didn't hate it. It didn't <v Speaker 1>make me lose my mind. It's just kind of the <v Speaker 1>part that I look at and go, yeah, that's that's <v Speaker 1>clearly not for for me. <v Speaker 3>Like, that's not what's geared toward. <v Speaker 1>It's a thirty seven year old male, you know, audience <v Speaker 1>demographic that has been watching wrestling for twenty five years. <v Speaker 1>That's not what this is geared towards. It's It's fine, <v Speaker 1>I really don't. I don't hate this, but I understand <v Speaker 1>the need for or the want for them to put <v Speaker 1>this in so uh all right, it was it was <v Speaker 1>kind of a harmless segment, just silliness her her business <v Speaker 1>that are kind of together, not together fighting with Bobby Lashley, <v Speaker 1>not with Bobby Lashley. No one explains anything about this group, <v Speaker 1>the most mysterious group of all time ends up facing <v Speaker 1>the Mysterios and the I'm reading the description to make <v Speaker 1>sure I don't miss anything. The last part of this match, <v Speaker 1>the Mis pulled Dumb's leg while the ref was distracted, <v Speaker 1>so Ray chased him through the crowd and that allowed <v Speaker 1>Benjamin to get the roll up on Dominic. That's right, <v Speaker 1>got the roll up on Dominic for the victory. So yeah, <v Speaker 1>go ahead once again, Anthony. <v Speaker 4>I forgot his roll up, yep. But more so what <v Speaker 4>I got out of this was the probo in the <v Speaker 4>beginning classic line there calling the Mis a Hollywood mega dumbass. <v Speaker 4>I love. It is a fine match. Not much to <v Speaker 4>take out of it. I mean, definitely the whole weird <v Speaker 4>deal with the Hurt business. I mean, they seem to <v Speaker 4>carry on the names even without Lashley and MVP. They're <v Speaker 4>doing their thing and they're definitely lower of the card <v Speaker 4>tag team for me. Yeah, seeing Raymisterio chase him off <v Speaker 4>and Dominic taking the pin there it gets us in the. <v Speaker 1>Next segment, it does, and you know, you're right about that. <v Speaker 1>That was a good line. <v Speaker 3>I got to say. <v Speaker 1>Even it was clearly written, but it's it was one <v Speaker 1>of those written lines that you know, sometimes even written <v Speaker 1>promos every once in a while work. Anything really from <v Speaker 1>Dominic was is good because he needs to actually say something. <v Speaker 1>He's finally starting to show something. Even if they are <v Speaker 1>written lines, they're they're they're at least realizing, oh, yeah, <v Speaker 1>we can't just have him in the ring doing stuff. <v Speaker 1>He needs to say stuff too, and they're they're starting <v Speaker 1>to finally realize that. <v Speaker 3>And that line was good. <v Speaker 1>And the Miz came back and and did his uh <v Speaker 1>did a nice kind of rebuttal against that, and you know, <v Speaker 1>he reminded us that he Maine invented WrestleMania against John Cena, <v Speaker 1>and I mean I remember that as well. Albeit it <v Speaker 1>was really about Rock and Sina. I mean, he was <v Speaker 1>just the side show as the w champion, which was hilarious. <v Speaker 1>But to me, this was all about just getting to <v Speaker 1>the mysterios versus the Miz and Logan Paul Logan, Paul <v Speaker 1>is not in the arena and he was probably too <v Speaker 1>busy on his YouTube channel or doing whatever he does. <v Speaker 3>And Logan Paul. <v Speaker 1>Look, I'm not a celebrity fan. That's a fan of <v Speaker 1>ww bringing in celebrities. But that being said, if they're <v Speaker 1>going to book them in the right in the right <v Speaker 1>role of being a heel when they come in, I'm <v Speaker 1>okay with it. So what do you think about this, <v Speaker 1>this matchup here with the Miz and Logan Paul that's <v Speaker 1>going to take place against the Mysterios at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 4>I think it's fine. I think it's better than last year, <v Speaker 4>or I think I was back at summer time. I'm <v Speaker 4>not too sure where it was, but you definitely think <v Speaker 4>it's better to have Logan Paul here as a hell <v Speaker 4>teaming up with the Miz rather than being like some <v Speaker 4>you know, halfway not sure what he's gonna do. And <v Speaker 4>then Logan I think last time around he went I <v Speaker 4>think he did something to to miss h. Nonetheless, I mean, <v Speaker 4>it'll be a fine match, but I mean, more so, <v Speaker 4>is what's better than one celebrity is having two at Mania? <v Speaker 4>It's yeah, it seems to be there too many thing <v Speaker 4>every year, so is what it is. <v Speaker 1>And I gotta say these I mean we have Johnny <v Speaker 1>Knoxville on SmackDown facing Sammy Zane. Presumably that's not a <v Speaker 1>confirmed match, presumably for the Icy title, which will be <v Speaker 1>a travesty of travesties if Johnny Knoxville is competing for <v Speaker 1>the Icy title, and so many things are wrong with that. <v Speaker 1>But then on this side you have Logan Paul in <v Speaker 1>a tag team match, and I will say that both <v Speaker 1>of these celebrities have a high bar to try to <v Speaker 1>reach from what Bad Bunny did last year. I mean <v Speaker 1>Bad Bunny, as much as I couldn't stand the whole <v Speaker 1>personality of him and everything that he brought to the <v Speaker 1>table on a personality promo perspective, in the ring, he <v Speaker 1>set the bar, and so I think he may have <v Speaker 1>set the bar unachievably high for future celebrities coming in <v Speaker 1>at WrestleMania, even Logan Paul, who is one of the <v Speaker 1>better athletes they brought in. He was an amateur wrestler <v Speaker 1>in high school and in college. He did obviously boxing, <v Speaker 1>he did him and may he is a hell of <v Speaker 1>an athlete. But that doesn't always translate to a well <v Speaker 1>oiled machine in pro wrestling. <v Speaker 3>It just doesn't. <v Speaker 1>Sometimes it doesn't work out at all. But I just <v Speaker 1>will say that the bar has been set crazy high <v Speaker 1>after what we saw from Bad Bunny last. <v Speaker 4>Year, Right, I have to say going into this into <v Speaker 4>this one, do we think that the Mysterious can make uh, <v Speaker 4>make Logan Paul look as good as uh? I mean <v Speaker 4>because I think that when because Bad Bunny, I mean <v Speaker 4>I think it was good. I mean the whole diesel truck. <v Speaker 4>I mean that's his entrance. I mean I think again, <v Speaker 4>the bar is pretty high there for him. I mean, <v Speaker 4>it was a great cell by John Morrison. Uh definitely <v Speaker 4>held him out there with that sunset flip or whatever <v Speaker 4>it was. Can can can the Mysterious put over Logan Paul? <v Speaker 4>Or I think it's more so the Mysterious are just <v Speaker 4>out to get their revenge. But it should be a <v Speaker 4>you know, a fine match. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm not. I'm not super concerned about the quality <v Speaker 3>of the matchup. You know. <v Speaker 1>I'm sure that he'll be serviceable enough where he he <v Speaker 1>won't spend a whole bunch of time in the ring, <v Speaker 1>and he'll have that crutch of a tag team partner <v Speaker 1>of the Miz to do about eighty percent of the work, <v Speaker 1>you know, So it's not a one on one match, <v Speaker 1>He's not going to be too much of the spotlight <v Speaker 1>because he'll have three other guys in that match that <v Speaker 1>can work the match, and one tag team partner of <v Speaker 1>the Miz that's probably gonna be in, as I said, <v Speaker 1>at least seventy five eighty percent of the match. That's <v Speaker 1>my guess, you know, that's my that's my guess, is <v Speaker 1>that that's what's gonna happen. But all right, let's move <v Speaker 1>on a few more segments here of Ron and will <v Speaker 1>close things out. But we're starting to get some big, <v Speaker 1>big stuff here, guys, RK bro versus the Street Profits. <v Speaker 3>Now, this wasn't a big. <v Speaker 1>Deal until until we got a potential injury scare from <v Speaker 1>Randy Orton after the From the Heavens from montes Ford. <v Speaker 1>Apparently right now it's a injury scare. I haven't heard <v Speaker 1>of anything confirmed yet from from Randy Orton that he <v Speaker 1>could be seriously in but he was clearly injured from <v Speaker 1>the From the Heavens obviously not on purpose from montese For. <v Speaker 1>But this matchup was really good. I mean these I <v Speaker 1>thought this was maybe the match of the night with <v Speaker 1>these two. And we're still waiting for the other shoot <v Speaker 1>to drop with the Orton turning on Riddle. We haven't <v Speaker 1>seen it yet, but now let me let me get <v Speaker 1>your take, Anthony, what'd you think about all this? <v Speaker 4>I thought it was a good match. I quite enjoyed it. Definitely, <v Speaker 4>you get your spots with Randy Orton and his DDT, <v Speaker 4>the good old Power Slam everything. I love seeing Randy <v Speaker 4>Orton out there and no street pop. It's I mean, <v Speaker 4>you can always count on them to put on a <v Speaker 4>solid match, so it's good to see them on TV. <v Speaker 4>Not so much for the character. I think it's okay, <v Speaker 4>but definitely a good matchup that I enjoyed. And yeah, <v Speaker 4>following that from the heaven that you know, from the <v Speaker 4>Heavens or whatever it is there from mantas Ford, I <v Speaker 4>tried to catch it, man. I think the knee landed <v Speaker 4>there on Orton's chest. I don't know exactly how it <v Speaker 4>turned out, but obviously you could see Orton there grimacing, <v Speaker 4>and it's a little weird with the trying to reach <v Speaker 4>for the rope there with his foot and then Angelo <v Speaker 4>Dawkins pushing it away from the ropes. It doesn't get <v Speaker 4>the rope break. But it is a good match, great match. <v Speaker 4>I loved it. Unfortunately, you know, we're not sure how <v Speaker 4>Orton's doing there. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and I do hope for his sake that being <v Speaker 1>so close to WrestleMania, that there isn't something seriously wrong <v Speaker 1>with him. And you know, I haven't heard anything. I <v Speaker 1>keep looking at you know, articles right now as you're speaking, <v Speaker 1>and everything seems to see injury scare, injury scare, injury scare. <v Speaker 1>That would tell you that if it was something more serious, <v Speaker 1>he would have already gotten an MRI, he would have <v Speaker 1>already gotten, you know, a diagnosis of six to eight <v Speaker 1>months shoulder recovered. Whatever it was, you know, so clearly <v Speaker 1>it was something that was maybe initially thought to be <v Speaker 1>very serious and has I guess, presented itself not as <v Speaker 1>the case. So we'll have to see and hopefully it's not. <v Speaker 1>Because I think Randy Orton Riddle at WrestleMania would be <v Speaker 1>a hell of a lot of fun and uh but yeah, <v Speaker 1>this matchup was I thought really good and Orton just <v Speaker 1>being Orton. Orton could be asleep during a match, and <v Speaker 1>he could be sleepwalking and probably put on an A <v Speaker 1>plus match because he's just that good. He's he's he's <v Speaker 1>at this point, he could do this in his sleep, literally, <v Speaker 1>And so both all four guys I think busted their <v Speaker 1>asses in this matchup, and you know, it really was <v Speaker 1>a nice kind of send off. If this is one <v Speaker 1>of the final matches for r K BRO that you <v Speaker 1>know we will get to remember them by. And also <v Speaker 1>next week, because boy, WWE has been pushing this triple <v Speaker 1>threat for the raw tag team titles. They've pushed this, <v Speaker 1>maybe this is the most important the raw tag team <v Speaker 1>titles have ever felt. I mean, just because of how <v Speaker 1>much they've been promoting it. They actually promoted it weeks <v Speaker 1>in advance for a tag team title match of all things. <v Speaker 1>So I'm looking forward to this tag team title triple <v Speaker 1>threat next week. And I think that these these two <v Speaker 1>individuals of Riddle and Orton, hopefully Orton can go. If <v Speaker 1>he can't, maybe Riddle goes it alone or finds a <v Speaker 1>stand in. And I don't think they're destined to win <v Speaker 1>it anyway, But let me get your thoughts. <v Speaker 5>You're listening to the WWE podcast. We'll be right back <v Speaker 5>after this short break. <v Speaker 1>Meat Wheat podcast, because sometimes it's fun to listen to <v Speaker 1>a moron rant about nothing for half an hour. You <v Speaker 1>want comedy, suspense, news. Well they have none of that, <v Speaker 1>or maybe they do. They have whatever they feel like. <v Speaker 1>Only way to know is to listen up. You can <v Speaker 1>follow them on Instagram at meat Wheat Pod and check <v Speaker 1>them out on Spotify. Again, that's Meat Wheat m E <v Speaker 1>E T w h e A T podcast. Check them <v Speaker 1>out on Spotify. <v Speaker 5>Welcome back to the WWE podcast. Let's get back to <v Speaker 5>more great wrestling audio. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, going into the Vacuum Suttle match here back when <v Speaker 4>they're doing the segments, just doing the scooter race and <v Speaker 4>the trivia show and all that. You know, I thought <v Speaker 4>they were just going to get the rematch, get it <v Speaker 4>over with, get out the way. But I definitely like <v Speaker 4>the WWE here is prolonged. It left us waiting, definitely <v Speaker 4>keeps you. I think it keeps us invested. And I actually, yeah, <v Speaker 4>I want to see this match happen. And I think <v Speaker 4>alph Academy has done a good job of excelling the <v Speaker 4>titles a little bit. Not that o K Bro didn't, <v Speaker 4>They definitely did a good job carrying it for a <v Speaker 4>couple of months there. I'm excited to see the match. <v Speaker 4>I mean it should be great. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I've know no question about the quality of the match. <v Speaker 1>The quality of the match is not even in peril <v Speaker 1>for me. To me, it's not about that at all. <v Speaker 1>And that's what's going to be great about this matchup <v Speaker 1>is if you're looking for great just wrestling, if you <v Speaker 1>turn into wrestling show to watch, you know, wrestling, I <v Speaker 1>think he'll be very satisfied with this matchup that takes place. <v Speaker 1>Probably you'd imagine the way that they've been promoting it <v Speaker 1>and how heavily that this would be the main event <v Speaker 1>of the show next week on RAW. I can't confirm that, <v Speaker 1>but you would imagine how the big names that are <v Speaker 1>in this matchup as well that it would be the <v Speaker 1>main event of the show, which would tell you if <v Speaker 1>this is the main event of the show, I would <v Speaker 1>be very weary of in a good way of what <v Speaker 1>can happen during that Because if this tag ting title <v Speaker 1>match is the main event of the show and the <v Speaker 1>Alpha Academy end up retaining, then I could see somebody <v Speaker 1>like a Stone Cold coming out to confront Kevin Owens <v Speaker 1>if he gets on the mic and starts, you know, <v Speaker 1>complaining about having he has no road to WrestleMania now. <v Speaker 1>So those are the kinds of things I look for <v Speaker 1>we'll see, maybe just wishful thinking on my part. But <v Speaker 1>back to the matchup here, the one last thing I'll <v Speaker 1>say is that, yeah, that part with Orton trying to <v Speaker 1>get his foot on the rope was a little weird <v Speaker 1>because Orton, I think was I think he was a <v Speaker 1>bit shell shocked from the presumed injury he just suffered, <v Speaker 1>and he was kind of disoriented trying to He knew <v Speaker 1>he had to hit his spot of getting his foot <v Speaker 1>on the rope, but he didn't quite make it. So <v Speaker 1>Angela Dawkins pushed it off, but it wasn't gonna make <v Speaker 1>it anyway. Like Orton was a couple of inches away <v Speaker 1>from the rope, he would have missed it anyway. So <v Speaker 1>they were all just trying to hit their spots the <v Speaker 1>best they could. <v Speaker 3>But it was a little weird, right. <v Speaker 4>And then going into next week with that with that <v Speaker 4>tag teams I don't match. I mean definitely if it's <v Speaker 4>a main eventor which everything I would hope. So as <v Speaker 4>the buildup's been been there for a while, it definitely <v Speaker 4>leaves a I mean with the end of the show, <v Speaker 4>I mean definitely is open for a segment. I mean, <v Speaker 4>whether we see Austin I think I've seen a report. <v Speaker 4>I mean that Austin should be showing up the week <v Speaker 4>of three sixteen, is what I've heard that leaves us <v Speaker 4>a little close to mania. But you know, whenever, whenever <v Speaker 4>we can get it, I mean, I suppose we'll see. <v Speaker 4>We're gonna be curious, though, is it are we gonna see? <v Speaker 4>I mean, is it just gonna be a flat ended <v Speaker 4>match where you know, Alpha Academy probably retains here? Or <v Speaker 4>does that? Does that a good book open for seeing <v Speaker 4>that happens with the Rawlins and Ko or does it <v Speaker 4>allude to an RK bro break up there? I'm not <v Speaker 4>too sure, but it doesn't necessarily feel like RK Bros <v Speaker 4>reatd to break up. But spuzzle see. <v Speaker 1>And I'm looking ahead to the UH, to the whole <v Speaker 1>What what's the schedule look like coming up? And maybe <v Speaker 1>where they if they were gonna bring back Austin, what <v Speaker 1>would it look like and what's the best place to <v Speaker 1>do it? So next week they're in Cleveland. The following <v Speaker 1>week they're in Jacksonville, Florida. The following week, uh, they <v Speaker 1>are in the All State Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. I E, <v Speaker 1>I think right, And they'll call it the shadow of Chicago. <v Speaker 3>I'm sure. <v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm sure they'll they'll say something because I <v Speaker 1>don't want to say Rosemont, illinois'll they'll say we're in <v Speaker 1>you know, we're in the shadow of Chicago, like they <v Speaker 1>do when they're kind of near the uh kind of <v Speaker 1>New New York City where there we're in the shadow <v Speaker 1>of New York City. No, you're not, you know, like <v Speaker 1>they just like to embellish things. So I think that <v Speaker 1>the All State Arena, Austin has said many times, is <v Speaker 1>one of his favorite arenas of all time. Uh, they <v Speaker 1>used to call it. There's another, the rosemand I think <v Speaker 1>it was the Rosemont Horizon. <v Speaker 3>They used to that. <v Speaker 1>It was prenamed before, and he loves he has said <v Speaker 1>many times he loves that arena because of the acoustics. <v Speaker 1>He loves the energy that that particular crowd brings. So <v Speaker 1>I know that's the twenty first of March. I mean, <v Speaker 1>at that point, you're two weeks from WrestleMania. I would <v Speaker 1>imagine they don't want to go that close, but they <v Speaker 1>could do the week before. If they do the week before, <v Speaker 1>they're in Jacksonville, Florida. It's March fourteenth. It's sad that <v Speaker 1>it's not March sixteenth. I know, maybe they can delay <v Speaker 1>raw till the I don't know, Wednesday, March sixteenth, but yeah, <v Speaker 1>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Just look at ahead of the schedule. <v Speaker 1>It's Cleveland, Jacksonville, and then the shadow of Chicago and Rosemanto, Illinois, <v Speaker 1>and then it gets to Pittsburgh after that. So yeah, <v Speaker 1>I don't know, just just looking ahead and kind of <v Speaker 1>maybe thinking about where it could happen if it happens. <v Speaker 1>So okay, let's get to the two big things that happen. <v Speaker 1>I'm monning net raw here, the two things that everyone's <v Speaker 1>talking about. And the first thing kind of the advertiser <v Speaker 1>before the entre here Damian Price versus Spin Valor for <v Speaker 1>the United States Championship that I thought was really good. <v Speaker 1>And again a lot, you know, I gotta say a <v Speaker 1>lot of quality wrestling on Monday Night. I mean, there <v Speaker 1>wasn't a whole lot of bad matches. I mean, outside <v Speaker 1>of the Reginald and all the dand Brooks stuff, which <v Speaker 1>was wasn't meant to be a great match anyway, this <v Speaker 1>was a really nice Monday Night Raw in terms of <v Speaker 1>wrestling as I'm thinking about it now, And this was <v Speaker 1>no exception here Finn Baler and I think Damian Priest <v Speaker 1>did a very nice job and it ended up with <v Speaker 1>Damian Priest Finn Baller winning the United States Championship, and <v Speaker 1>I think it is a breath of fresh air for <v Speaker 1>the title. It felt very stale and kind of held <v Speaker 1>hostage almost by Damian Priest. But the most important thing, <v Speaker 1>I guess depends on your perspective. But the other important <v Speaker 1>thing is not just Finn winning, but also Damian Priest <v Speaker 1>turning heel and fully turning heel. And he had a <v Speaker 1>postmatch promo that really solidified that and then attacked Baler <v Speaker 1>after the match, drawing him into the announced table. <v Speaker 3>So did you enjoy this? What'd you think? <v Speaker 4>I did enjoy it? We need so going into the <v Speaker 4>matt Yeah, it was a great night for wrestling, and <v Speaker 4>I definitely loved it going into this matchup. I'm happy <v Speaker 4>for Balor. Weeks ago, we thought Baalor dropped up the <v Speaker 4>face of the Earth, Evince gave up on him. But <v Speaker 4>it's glad to see him back into the picture and <v Speaker 4>definitely getting a good spot here where he can, you know, maybe, <v Speaker 4>you know, bring bring some light to the United States <v Speaker 4>Championship and a little more excitement. They're on raw. I <v Speaker 4>thought it was a great match, some good spots there <v Speaker 4>after the match, following it with the little promo there. <v Speaker 4>It's just the whole thing with Damien. His his character <v Speaker 4>has just been so confusing. When the when when the <v Speaker 4>whole change happened, you know, splitting him into two personalities. <v Speaker 4>I really bought into it. I was there for a <v Speaker 4>couple of weeks, and then then it just got old, <v Speaker 4>and I mean it was just confusing when he when <v Speaker 4>he wants to turn and you know, when his emotions <v Speaker 4>really settle in. But I was kind of when I <v Speaker 4>seen Damien out there, just like after his loss, I <v Speaker 4>was waiting to see him, you know, explode, but instead <v Speaker 4>he just comes in the ring and he comes in <v Speaker 4>as Priest and he just he just calls out the <v Speaker 4>crowd for not cheering for him during his Tatle reign <v Speaker 4>and then obviously the attack there on Valor. I think <v Speaker 4>that he definitely needed to solidify who he was going <v Speaker 4>to be there, and I think he's the right move <v Speaker 4>for him to be to be healed because we've just <v Speaker 4>been so unsure what's happening with Priest. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, this was a this was the right move by creative. <v Speaker 1>There's no question that turning him heel, which he was <v Speaker 1>already kind of organically turning heel anyway, because fans were <v Speaker 1>just so confused, as you said, just just not sure <v Speaker 1>what he is. <v Speaker 3>And then the split. <v Speaker 1>Personality was never explained. It was never explaining where did <v Speaker 1>this come from, how did this happen, what triggers it, <v Speaker 1>and why you know, did something happen to your childhood? <v Speaker 1>Of course, there's no backstory. We're just supposed to accept <v Speaker 1>it on face value. A lot of things in w <v Speaker 1>W or that way at times is just don't don't <v Speaker 1>dig be on the surface, just accept it and move on, <v Speaker 1>which I'm not a big fan of. But anyway, so <v Speaker 1>Damien again is coming out, and I thought you're right. <v Speaker 1>I thought for sure he's gonna snap, he's gonna attack <v Speaker 1>him from behind, and instead he just kind of calmly <v Speaker 1>comes in and cuts his promo, blames the fans, and <v Speaker 1>then attacks Finn. I still don't understand either, why though, <v Speaker 1>why his alter ego evil side is named Damien when <v Speaker 1>he has been Damian Priest all along. So I don't know, like, <v Speaker 1>if you're Damian Priest, but your alter ego evil person. <v Speaker 1>Your evil twin is also just Damien, Like why are <v Speaker 1>we I mean, like, can't you just come up with <v Speaker 1>something else, come up with anything else, another name that <v Speaker 1>you've given it, come up with something, and yet they've <v Speaker 1>named it the same name that you are when you're <v Speaker 1>supposed to be this kind of just levelheaded guy. I <v Speaker 1>don't know, it's weird, but I'm a big fan of <v Speaker 1>Damian Priest. His delivery, his promos are usually very good. <v Speaker 1>He's got a very nice, deep talking voice, a very <v Speaker 1>commanding voice when he speaks. <v Speaker 3>That's great. <v Speaker 1>And again this matchup, if they do it again and <v Speaker 1>the Cloks like they are, I have no problem with <v Speaker 1>it whatsoever. Finn Baler and Damian Priests I think did <v Speaker 1>an excellent job, and I think that their follow up <v Speaker 1>match when that happens, which it will, is going to <v Speaker 1>be just. <v Speaker 3>As good, if not better. <v Speaker 1>So, And you're right too, hilariously or maybe not, maybe <v Speaker 1>kind of sadly with Finn Balor being completely just relegated <v Speaker 1>to the depths of w WE hell so to speak <v Speaker 1>of just being like losing match after match and as <v Speaker 1>you said, being forgotten to just bam he's US champion. <v Speaker 1>I have no problem with that. It's just just crazy <v Speaker 1>how from week to week things can change so drastically <v Speaker 1>to going from complete irrelevance and losing match after match <v Speaker 1>after match for months on end to boom United States champion. <v Speaker 1>So I'm a big Finn Balor fan. I think that <v Speaker 1>it's well deserved and I think that he'll have a <v Speaker 1>really nice run because Finn is too good of a <v Speaker 1>talent to be sitting backstage. <v Speaker 4>Definitely agree with you there with Damien there. You know, <v Speaker 4>obviously we'll not answers about the whole personality deal, but <v Speaker 4>some people are curious. I mean, like some people think <v Speaker 4>that Dami had a strong reign and I think it <v Speaker 4>was like one hundred and seventy nine days there, so <v Speaker 4>half a year that he held the title, and he <v Speaker 4>was definitely a defending champion, So hats off to him, <v Speaker 4>I suppose, but it was just weird, and I mean, <v Speaker 4>I'm looking forward to see what Ballor can do here. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, me too. <v Speaker 1>I think Baller is going to have a nice run, <v Speaker 1>and it just it refreshes the belt very nicely. I <v Speaker 1>think they have paid attention to the mid tier belts <v Speaker 1>just very nicely over the last just two weeks. I mean, <v Speaker 1>the IC title got a new holder after Shinsk held <v Speaker 1>it for seemingly forever, and really at the fault of WWE, <v Speaker 1>they did nothing with him, not the false Shinsk, And <v Speaker 1>now they did the same thing with Damian Priest. So <v Speaker 1>it's just I mean, it's clear that they have just <v Speaker 1>somebody in a boardroom meeting said hey, we should probably <v Speaker 1>shuffle the mid tier belts, and they did the same <v Speaker 1>thing on like just a week apart. So I mean, <v Speaker 1>it's it's fine. You know, I don't have any with <v Speaker 1>it because I think both of them needed new new <v Speaker 1>holders for the time being. So all right, now we <v Speaker 1>get to the main event here. And the main event <v Speaker 1>was really just who's going to step up to Edge? <v Speaker 1>Who's going to be Edge's WrestleMania opponent? And I know <v Speaker 1>I had said for you know, a few weeks that <v Speaker 1>people have been speculating it could be Cody Roads, and <v Speaker 1>Edge did say something about the Roads to WrestleMania, and <v Speaker 1>he emphasized Roads, maybe on purpose or not. I think, Okay, <v Speaker 1>I thought, okay, it's Cody Roads. It's the it's main <v Speaker 1>event of Raw. We've we've got four weeks to wrestle Mania, <v Speaker 1>there's going to be somebody big coming out that we <v Speaker 1>haven't seen in a while, some big return. I thought <v Speaker 1>I thought it was gonna be Cody Rhods and it <v Speaker 1>was AJ Styles, and I I, you know, I have <v Speaker 1>to sadly admit that I was disappointed in seeing Aj <v Speaker 1>Styles because I think the the anticipation of Cody Roads <v Speaker 1>coming back is is is high, and having AJ come out, <v Speaker 1>he hasn't been established very well over the last really <v Speaker 1>year or more. He's been in the tag team with Omas. <v Speaker 1>He got beaten by Omas pretty quickly. He has not <v Speaker 1>been on a hot streak. He hasn't got much Mike time. <v Speaker 1>AJ has kind of fallen by the wayside. And that's <v Speaker 1>just a fact. And so when he comes out to <v Speaker 1>challenge Edge, you're like, oh, okay, uh AJ cool. But <v Speaker 1>you know, you know, you feel guilty of not being <v Speaker 1>as excited as maybe you should be because of all <v Speaker 1>the damage they did to AJ over the last year <v Speaker 1>year and a half and having to come out to <v Speaker 1>challenge Edge. I think number one of the crowd reacted <v Speaker 1>much better to AG than I thought they would. I <v Speaker 1>thought that they were kind of be lackluster, but they <v Speaker 1>seemed to be pretty excited about aj challenging Edge and <v Speaker 1>then the rest is history. So before I go any further, <v Speaker 1>what did you think about aj WE when he initially <v Speaker 1>his music hit? Were you disappointed? Were you hoping it <v Speaker 1>was somebody else? <v Speaker 3>What are your thoughts? <v Speaker 4>I can't say I was surprised. More so, I think <v Speaker 4>that the whole roads line you're quoting their I think <v Speaker 4>I definitely slept the surpross me. What's set up from <v Speaker 4>that promo more so is when you when you heard <v Speaker 4>Edge stay phenomenal, that definitely stuck out and you definitely thought, <v Speaker 4>you know, you kind of thought a J and Edge, <v Speaker 4>So when you came out, I wasn't wasn't too surprised. <v Speaker 4>There definitely the good, good, good reaction from the crowd. <v Speaker 4>Definitely enjoying a day's presence there. I think it's a <v Speaker 4>match that they want to see while these two stars <v Speaker 4>are you know, both a good matchup, uh, you know, <v Speaker 4>seeing what happens Edge at the end of this promo <v Speaker 4>here definitely leaves you wanting this match a lot more <v Speaker 4>than you than initially thought. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was the job of this segment, and I <v Speaker 1>think it was a job that was accomplished. I really <v Speaker 1>do I think that they took a match that was <v Speaker 1>as cold as Ice, as big of the names as <v Speaker 1>those two are. I think that the I mean it's cold. <v Speaker 1>Nobody was sitting there going, oh my god, I got <v Speaker 1>these two neat to fight. <v Speaker 4>No. <v Speaker 1>I mean, you look at it beforehand, you go, yeah, <v Speaker 1>that's a nice matchup. That's a that's a pay per <v Speaker 1>view matchup, you know, But to me, it's not a <v Speaker 1>wrestle Mania matchup. But they quickly escalated that, and I <v Speaker 1>think that they have made most fans very interested in <v Speaker 1>the follow up to this and seeing AJ get revenge <v Speaker 1>on Edge because Edge turned heel. I mean, that's the <v Speaker 1>big story coming out of this is Yes, AJ is <v Speaker 1>Edge's opponent, but Edge turns heel, and he checks another <v Speaker 1>box off of his bucket list for his return and <v Speaker 1>now gets to write his own story of the end <v Speaker 1>of his career. We've seen Edge since Rumble of twenty <v Speaker 1>twenty be a babyface, so it's been two years of <v Speaker 1>him as a baby face. We've gotten a chance to <v Speaker 1>love him, We've gotten a chance to cheer for him. <v Speaker 1>He's been able to have some great matches. He's Maine <v Speaker 1>invented wrestle MANI in a triple threat last year with <v Speaker 1>Roman and Daniel Bryan. <v Speaker 3>He has been able. <v Speaker 1>To tag team with his wife for God's sakes, and <v Speaker 1>now I think he wants to explore the art of <v Speaker 1>turning heel again. And Edge as a heel, if you <v Speaker 1>guys have not seen it or forgotten, is brilliant. So <v Speaker 1>I am really looking forward to Edge a heel. It <v Speaker 1>did feel a bit abrupt, but I'm ready for it. <v Speaker 1>Are you do you want to did you have any <v Speaker 1>interest in seeing edgetern heel? Are you kind of you skeptical? <v Speaker 1>Are you concerned about Edge sterning heel here? <v Speaker 4>I definitely I'm buying into it. Edge is great. I <v Speaker 4>don't know the last time he was heel, I mean <v Speaker 4>ever since he came back into the picture from that <v Speaker 4>neck injury and whatnot. Obviously we just cheer from him <v Speaker 4>because I mean, we love the nostalgia of our old superstars, <v Speaker 4>and he's still still good enough to put on a show. <v Speaker 4>So definitely we're getting more out of Edge here having <v Speaker 4>him heel. And you know, back back to the past, <v Speaker 4>I mean when I when I when I left the <v Speaker 4>picture of WW, I mean he was still I believe <v Speaker 4>heel and and then obviously you see back to the <v Speaker 4>rawlins hinting at the taking out Edge there back in <v Speaker 4>like twenty fourteen. So I just don't know the last <v Speaker 4>time he got to see this out of Edge, and <v Speaker 4>I think it's definitely a route that they should be <v Speaker 4>going right now. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's just it's you know, two years is definitely <v Speaker 1>long enough to to get your your emotions out in <v Speaker 1>a positive way for a star before you start to <v Speaker 1>maybe get a little bit stale of it. And yes, <v Speaker 1>Edge has not been there consistently. He's not at everyday superstar. <v Speaker 1>He's there every few months to have X number of <v Speaker 1>matches a year I don't know, three four matches a <v Speaker 1>year whatever is on his contract, so he never feels <v Speaker 1>like he's overstaying as welcome and he does feel special <v Speaker 1>when he's there. So I think he's managed his his <v Speaker 1>contract very nicely. But he's also checking off everything he's <v Speaker 1>ever wanted to do, and he's I give him credit, <v Speaker 1>he's getting paid a lot of money to do it. <v Speaker 1>So turning heel is a nice change, and Edges expressions <v Speaker 1>throughout this entire segment of you know, hitting aj with <v Speaker 1>the low blow, that's great, hitting him with the concerto, <v Speaker 1>but being conflicted about it. Great storytelling from an expression standpoint, <v Speaker 1>this guy has. I mean, he could teach an entire <v Speaker 1>class on just facial expressions. <v Speaker 3>He could. <v Speaker 1>I mean, he's so just so good of being able <v Speaker 1>to communicate not just verbally but visually from his facial <v Speaker 1>express is just great. So I'm looking forward to seeing <v Speaker 1>what the follow up here is from AJ. And I'm <v Speaker 1>sure he won't maybe be there next week. They'll probably <v Speaker 1>sell the injury or you know, maybe he will be there, <v Speaker 1>but Edge won't be there. He'll be there via satellite. <v Speaker 1>They'll do a lot of that as Edge is now <v Speaker 1>playing the heel. But I'm really now I'm very interested <v Speaker 1>in this match. <v Speaker 3>Now. <v Speaker 1>They have gone from kind of disappointment at the initial <v Speaker 1>onset of AJ's music hitting to all right, you have me, <v Speaker 1>let's go, you know, like that's amazing in just a <v Speaker 1>few short minutes that they were able to do that. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, definitely built up pretty quick there in the weeks <v Speaker 4>to come. I mean, yeah, I definitely I don't see <v Speaker 4>if I'll see face to face encounter because I mean <v Speaker 4>retaliation from AJ. I mean, you think it have to <v Speaker 4>be a pretty extreme So I see them both saying <v Speaker 4>promo's individually over the next couple of weeks, and then <v Speaker 4>you'll get your WrestleMania match that will definitely be something <v Speaker 4>fun to see. <v Speaker 1>Yeah cool, Yeah, No, I'm just I'm impressed with w <v Speaker 1>B here in the final segment that I think that <v Speaker 1>and Edge is a lot to I'm giving a lot <v Speaker 1>of credit to Edge because this could be written on <v Speaker 1>paper for somebody. But I think Adam Copeland playing Edge <v Speaker 1>here is really the star. No pun intended that that is, <v Speaker 1>or rather straw stirring the drink. And I think that <v Speaker 1>this is going to be I think it's gonna be <v Speaker 1>a great match. I have no concern about this, and <v Speaker 1>now that they've shown me in one week, I'm interested <v Speaker 1>in the match that they didn't know I wanted. So <v Speaker 1>all right, well, Anthony, anything else we're earnning raw or <v Speaker 1>anything else quickly that you wanted to chat about before <v Speaker 1>we close things out. <v Speaker 4>Nothing major. There was the little segment there with Vince <v Speaker 4>McMahon and Austin's theory, yea theory alluding to, oh what <v Speaker 4>if Pat McAfee goes in jumps you. I mean, I <v Speaker 4>definitely think they're blowing out our proportion but obviously you <v Speaker 4>see with media thinking that the Vince is going to <v Speaker 4>get back in the ring, which. <v Speaker 3>This I'm so glad you brought that up. Thank you. <v Speaker 1>So okay, I just praise Ron And I thought overall <v Speaker 1>Raw was very good. I give Raw like a B <v Speaker 1>B plus. I'm B plus. I mean because I'm in <v Speaker 1>a good mood. I give it a B plus. And <v Speaker 1>Raw does not do that on a regular basis. So, <v Speaker 1>you know, credit to the creative, credit to everybody on Raw. <v Speaker 1>But this one was just bad. I mean, I have <v Speaker 1>not been interested in Austin theory Vince McMahon at all <v Speaker 1>from the beginning. I thought of originally when he had <v Speaker 1>the egg on his desk. Who the hell keeps a <v Speaker 1>hundred million dollars egg on their desk, by the way, <v Speaker 1>you know, And I thought it was leading to the <v Speaker 1>rock at Survivors series. I was like, all right, this <v Speaker 1>is stupid, but if it leads to the rock which <v Speaker 1>comes in confronts Roman, fine. <v Speaker 3>It led to none of that. <v Speaker 1>It's just led to more months of Austin theory getting <v Speaker 1>berated and belittled by Vince McMahon in his office for <v Speaker 1>no apparent reason. It's been no payoff. It's been ridiculous, <v Speaker 1>and now this week Austin Theory suddenly has something to <v Speaker 1>say and it's out of nowhere, just trying to get <v Speaker 1>in Vince's head that Pat McAfee's going to attack him <v Speaker 1>on his show. What evidence do you have, exactly, Pat, <v Speaker 1>to show us, or rather Austin Theory, what evidence is <v Speaker 1>there that you would possibly come to that conclusion other <v Speaker 1>than we got to get to a match between Vince <v Speaker 1>and Pat who It's a match nobody asked for, nobody <v Speaker 1>wants to see. I don't need to see seventy five <v Speaker 1>year old Vince McMahon in a ring. He wasn't good <v Speaker 1>at fifty five. You think he's gonna be good at <v Speaker 1>seventy five inside of a ring? <v Speaker 3>And what the hell experiences Pat McAfee have. <v Speaker 1>And there's nothing to this other than Vince maybe feels <v Speaker 1>that he wants to get one more time, one more <v Speaker 1>shot at a match at WrestleMania before he dies, and <v Speaker 1>it could I think it's just complete narcissism to have <v Speaker 1>yourself on a card that has really nobody asked for <v Speaker 1>this match, Nobody wants to see it, there's zero interest <v Speaker 1>in it, and it's gonna be a guaranteed terrible matchup. <v Speaker 3>Terrible. <v Speaker 1>So and by the way, Austin Theory I tweeted this out. <v Speaker 1>He said that he said to Vince, you haven't been <v Speaker 1>on a you know, a sit down interview for Matt <v Speaker 1>in twenty years. Did he forget that he was that <v Speaker 1>Vince was part of the Stone Cold podcast in twenty fifteen. <v Speaker 1>I mean, he was the first guest on Stone Cold's <v Speaker 1>podcast on the network. So yeah, Austin Theory, you're wrong there. Okay, <v Speaker 1>that's the last time Vince, I believe, was on a show. <v Speaker 3>So just so much wrong with this, so much. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I gotta say I was quite glad that when <v Speaker 4>Vince replied to Theory, he says, it's not that kind <v Speaker 4>of a show, So I don't think we'll be seeing that, <v Speaker 4>although I think there will be some sort of altercation where, <v Speaker 4>you know, maybe it would take the green Pat McAfee <v Speaker 4>there and have a Pat McAfee versus a Theory matchup, <v Speaker 4>which we're not asking for, but it's possible that we <v Speaker 4>see it. And then when you went back to the <v Speaker 4>I saw I caught that tweet and that reminded me <v Speaker 4>just a couple of weeks ago. I listened to that <v Speaker 4>very interview and I didn't know from when it was from, <v Speaker 4>but because it shows up in the feet of Apple Podcasts, <v Speaker 4>it's kind of new. And so I heard this evincec <v Speaker 4>Mann Stone Cold the podcast, but they were talking about <v Speaker 4>Bray White in it, and Vin mcmhnon was just giving <v Speaker 4>high praises product, saying there's nothing wrong with it, and <v Speaker 4>I mean they look now, I mean, there's definitely other flaws, <v Speaker 4>but they're doing you know, they're you know, the ros <v Speaker 4>definitely made a good comeback, which I can appreciate. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>we'll see what happens with the whole of Austin Theory, <v Speaker 4>Pat McAfee and whatever happens. <v Speaker 1>I'd rather see, I mean, as preposterous as it is, <v Speaker 1>and no one wants to see that either. As you said, <v Speaker 1>Austin Theory and Pat McAfee, as bizarre of a match <v Speaker 1>as that would be, and one sided as it would be, <v Speaker 1>I'd rather see that because at least you'd have one <v Speaker 1>guy in the ring that can really go and it <v Speaker 1>would be at least half okay, whereas Vince McMahon and <v Speaker 1>Pat McAfee would be a total disaster. I mean, and <v Speaker 1>you know what, Maybe it's just them trolling the rumors <v Speaker 1>that have been going on over the last week or <v Speaker 1>two about this matchup of Vince versus Pat being a <v Speaker 1>part of WrestleMania. Maybe they're just trying to troll us <v Speaker 1>and it doesn't end up in anything. That they were <v Speaker 1>just trying to get us all riled up and it <v Speaker 1>doesn't result in a matchup. And if that's fine, if <v Speaker 1>that's what happens, fine, I'd rather have us try to <v Speaker 1>be trolled than actually going through with this thinking it's <v Speaker 1>something we want to see. <v Speaker 3>It's not. <v Speaker 1>So anyway, Yeah, I'm glad you brought that up. So <v Speaker 1>thank you for getting me all riled up. I couldn't <v Speaker 1>end the show without a rant about something I was <v Speaker 1>being too nice to WWE, so you finally pulled the <v Speaker 1>trigger on it, And thank you. <v Speaker 3>So anything else, Anthony. <v Speaker 4>No, it's been a pleasure.
