Pulisic breaks Guardian’s 100 Best Footballers, McKennie & Tillman shine, Netflix wins Women’s World Cup rights
Alexi Lalas and David Mosse unpack The Guardian’s Best 100 Male and Female Footballers. Christian Pulisic is the only American male to make the list, but is ranked at a lowly number. While on the women’s side, five of the USWNT players are ranked in the top ten, Sophia Smith coming in at number three. Kicking it to the USMNT abroad, Weston McKennie and Malik Tillman star on the weekend with a goal apiece. Brenden Aaronson and Johnny Cardoso also get on the scoresheet in their teams respective wins.
