Speaker 1: Welcome back, happy our listeners. It was another crazy week here at the Bachelor, and boy do we have a lot to talk about from last night's episode, Becca with the never ending puns, but I did there. I love every second of it. Last night's episode was definitely intense, and I think I speak for all of Bachelor Nation when I say how happy I was to finally see the shine drama end. Shrimp Gate is no more, and I am so excited that we have Genevieve here today to talk about that very intense one on one plus so much more from the episode. Guess there was a lot that went down, and like you, I'm excited to have Genevieve on because it seemed like she was very shocked in a lot of last night's episode, So now that she's had time to process everything, I can't wait to get into it all with her. But before we do, let's give a little recap first. We of course have to do your favorite fashion moments to start this episode, so take it away, Serena. All right, let's kick it off. I'm gonna start off with a quick shout out that I have been meaning to give for the past three weeks, and this is the week I'm going to do it. So I want to give a shout out to Susie because her hair and makeup has been so good these last couple of weeks. Her hair and makeup for whatever reason, always looks fresh when I'm sure having been on the show she did it like eight hours before. She loves playing with different eye looks, different lip colors, different hair, and I love it, so I want to give her a shout out to that, and then moving on into our fashion best Dressed at the Row ceremony this week is going to go to our girl Rachel. She was wearing a beautiful pink satin gown and what I loved was this was a really simple look that got elevated with kind of the details of the dress. So there was a cinch waist with a little twist in the center, a cross thick strap with a peekaboo back, and then she paired a lot of different neutral tones together, so we had cream nails and heels, peachy makeup, gold jewelry, so lots of beautiful neutral colors coming together to make this look still simple but just more interesting overall. And then that little pony in the back. I loved it. Moving on to our night look, we have Teddy. Teddy always goes pretty simple and sexy, and I love her style, but she went a little bolder this week with her date night look. It was a pink tiede eye dress, a little bit of a boostier top, and then the bottom almost looked like a strong where it was cinched on one side. I just thought it fit her so well. It gave me kind of tropical vibes. The weather and Croatia looked a little warmer, so that contrast between the cold Toronto style to the warm Croatia style was a great one. And then, last but not least, my favorite day look. I'm going to give it to a warrior costumes and because I loved them, I thought, I thought they actually looked so fun. It's so good. I want that for my next Halloween costume. I agree. I was feeling Game of Thrones mixed with like a Night's Tale. I loved it. It looked like such a fun day. And I want to touch on the fact that obviously we are now in Croatia. They traveled to someplace more, but I got to give a shout out, so I'm Croatian. My family is still some of them are in Croatia, and so to see the homeland, if you will, was so exciting. If you have not been to Croatia, I highly recommend it. It is beautiful, that people are incredible, foods good. So that was I think one of my favorite standout things just from the overall episode was that they were traveling there. It was so fun to see. Let's get into it though, because you had mentioned at the very top of this episode Chaney is no more Shrimpgate is gone. We threw her in the Niagara Fall. She is she is slimming with the other shrimps, swimming with the shrimp, and it was such I mean, you could see the women's excitement when her suitcase was taken, obviously, but it just felt different. I think moving forward into that group date without her, like there was just like this lightness, this friendliness. You could just like it was palpable. I would say as a viewer that you know, she was not linkering anymore, which was very refreshing as a viewer. Yes, I think it was time for her to go. I mean, I actually think time for her to go was a few weeks back. But I'm really glad that Clayton made that decision to keep Genevieve Sensen a home. I was cheering at my TV screen when I saw that moment, and I mean there was a lot of big moments on that too on one date, but I think we should wait for Genevieve to kind of get into all of that. I think now that Sane's gone, we kind of had a new star of the show this episode, and it was Mara for me. I mean, we saw so much of her. But I'm going to be honest, Mara like Mari, Maara like Maria. I'm so sorry. If you're listening to this, That's why I remember it is ma Yes, I want to know Becky your thoughts on Mara this episode, because I have a lot of them. Yeah. She I mean, she's never been one to be shy. Obviously since nine one she's been more outspoken, which I appreciate, but you can tell she's spiraling at this point, and rightfully so I understand she is now at this point the only woman who has not received in one on one. Other women have now gotten two one on ones, and so I see the issue where she's coming from. But I think the fact that she's fixating so much now on the other women, especially Sarah, is not going to be good for her. What are your thoughts on her? Very similar? I mean, I do think it's hard to be in that position where you feel like you haven't been given a fair shot and you haven't gotten that time. But I do think Maria needs to kind of get a little tough love there and hear that. You know, maybe Clayton just doesn't feel it, and he maybe just doesn't feel that connection that she feels, because that's kind of the vibe that I'm getting. I really have an issue with her fixating so much on the age of these women, and maybe that's because I was always the youngest. I was the youngest on Paradise, and I was one of the youngest on my season. And she seems to be really obsessed with these younger women and how they can't be ready for an engagement, they can't be ready for marriage, and she is because she's thirty three, and Sarah's not because she's twenty three. And you raise a good point, because that's one thing. As I was watching, and she's calling out Sarah's age. She's only twenty three, and I'm sitting there I'm like, well, Serena was at age two when she went on the show, and when she went on to Paradise, and now she is in love, she's engaged. So for you personally, how is that feeling? Were you like? But it's like, you can't just fixate on that one thing because everyone's story relationship is so vastly different. It was frustrating for me for sure, because I just don't think that it's fair for her to be comparing her connections and herself to the other women. If you have a connection, you have a connection. And I would hope that at this point all of the women there are open to an engagement because we're down to the wire now. But oh, I was going to say something. Oh, what I want to point out is people really like to equate age to maturity and readiness. But Chaney is twenty nine or twenty seven, she's in her late twenties, and she was the one causing all the drama the season. Mara, you're the oldest one in the house, you're claiming at this point, yet you're the one going and sabotaging other women's relationships. So it's not necessarily that the youngest women in the house are the ones that are causing the drama and acting immaturely. I mean, I would argue Nay was the most immature of the entire cast, and she's one of the older women. I think Cassidy was in her late twenties too, So I don't think it's fair for someone to judge someone on their age in terms of like are you ready and going back, I mean, just from my personal experience, when I was on the Bachelor, the youngest woman there was Becca, who was at that point twenty two fast forward. She is in a loyal, loving, committed relationship, she has two beautiful children. She still, out of all of those women who are on that season, was the youngest, but like, you know, she's living her own life and she's making her own path in the way that she sees fit, and so yeah, it's Mara made a point where at one point she was like, well, when I was twenty three, I wasn't ready to get engaged, and I wanted to be like, well that's you. You've had totally different experiences in life to get you to where you are now. And I agree, when I was twenty three, I thought I found the one I was in a relationship all through at college. I was like, I'm getting married. He's the guy, and of course, like so many things happened that didn't lead to that. But like, everyone's different, and so I hate that we keep right on people's age, whether somebody's too young or now when somebody's too old, we call them cougars. And I've made that same joke about myself, So I have no excuse. But we can't keep talking about age here because as we've seen throughout every season, there's so many different ages, there's so many different maturity levels. But I love that you touched on the fact that some of the older women were causing the most drama. That's a very good point. Thanks. Yeah, I would say on our season it was similar a lot of the women involved in the drama. And I'm not generalizing. I'm not saying that, you know, if you're one of the older women on the season, you're guaranteed too. But I mean kitt was the youngest in our season. She was incredibly mature. So I would just encourage Mara too. If you're feeling insecure about your relationship, focus on building that relationship and not tearing down the other women. She said, you know, I'm just keeping it real, being one hundreds, being honest. But at the end of the day, Clayton didn't ask. And on top of that, she keeps emphasizing how much she brings to the table, and I believe she brings all of that to the table. I believe she's a wonderful woman of great character and it's going to be an amazing wife. But at the end of the day, you can be all that and it can still just not be a fit with Clayton, and that's okay, And I think it kind of needs to accept that, right right, And I think very soon, I mean, we kind of see how it ends with the to be continued once again and Sarah going home. I'm assuming Sarah will confront her after her second one on one with Clayton. But I have to say I feel like the end is near for Mara. I can't. Just like I said earlier, it's like the downward spiral. I feel like she's not doing herself any favors by continuously bringing this up to the other women and to Clayton. So I think it's going to be very short lived here for her. One thing I want to get into besides all of the drama and the cattynist is it seems like this week really took a turn in the love stories. I would say because now we've seen his connection with Rachel, which is very strong. We saw Susie play like the little separate side date for him, which I thought was very cute, taking him up to the clock tower and telling her telling Clayton that she is now falling for him. So I feel like we're finally on the right path where we're taking a turn for what the show is all about, and that's, you know, finding those relationships, building those connections to lead to an engagement, and I feel like Clayton is finally starting to feel confident in that too. Yes, I definitely would really say we've taken that turn. I'd be lying if I said I didn't love the drama. I want the drama. I want it for the whole first half of the season. I'm invested in it, but we're at the point where I'm ready for it to be gone and I love watching those relationships unfold. We also saw Rachel. Rachel's gotten two group date roses and a one on one date rose this season, so I think that's a huge indicator to Clayton's feelings for her. I mean, I think their connection is so obvious, they are absolutely durable together. But I will say that Susie and Clayton's moment stole the show for me this episode. I actually, I don't really get emotional watching the batship, but I got kind of emotional watching that moment, just because it took me back to my moment in Paradise with Joe, because I was so beyond nervous and then confess my feeling saying I was falling in love with him, and I just felt, I don't know, Clayton was just so elated and so happy to see her, and I feel like we haven't seen as much of their relationship as we see with Rachel and Clayton. Are some of the other women, even like Gabby and Clayton. But that to me, I was like, Wow, their connection is really strong and they're forming a really beautiful relationship. Yeah. Oh, I agree. I feel like at this point we can kind of pick out our front runners here. I can kind of start to piece together who I think like Top four will be, maybe Top two And fun fact, Serena and I have a bad point now now that because we obviously don't know how it ends, we have like we're piecing together some things, but we have a bet for what was it for whoever he ends up with. Yes, right like the other end, if he ends up with someone we've each picked who we think he it's going to be. And if I lose, I have to buy back at dinner and drinks wearing Joe's clothing, and if Base because she has to buy me dinner and drinks in Thomas's clothing. So regardless, we're gonna be swimming in dinner, needless to say, one of us will be, so stay tuned for that. We just have so much to get into with Genevieve today because she was obviously on that two on one. I feel like it was a ton for her to process with everything Cheney and then Clayton's accusations for her. So without waiting any longer, let's just bring Genevieve on to Happy Hour right now. Let's do it. Well, Welcome to Boucher Happy Hour, Genevieve. We're so excited to have you because there's a lot we have to get into from this past week and frankly just from this overall season, so we want to get to know you so much more. So welcome to start out, How the hell have you been? Well? Thank you for having me. First of all, I'm so excited to be here. I've been doing really well. Watching back, it's definitely it's interesting you see stuff that you didn't see in the house, But overall, I've been doing very well since since I'm been h Yeah, well good. I'm sure it's this weird I mean, we've talked about this with all of our guests, this weird limbo phase of you. Obviously lived it in real time when it was filming, then you had to wait a little bit before it starts airing, and now, like you said, there's so much more to witness between conversations you didn't see, interviews you never heard about. So it's got to be this weird juxtaposition you're living in now where you're finally able to piece everything together. And we have a lot of feelings of everything that we've seen, especially like for you going on that two on one, but watching it back, for you, have you gained more clarity into the women in the high of your relationship with Clayton. Yeah, looking back, it's funny because I mean everyone really got along very well for the most part, besides the very obvious two. So like looking back, I mean everything shown is pretty much what it was like in the house, Like we were all very close. I hadn't really seen a different side of the women that I hadn't seen in the house other than its cheney obviously because we did not know the interviews all those interviews were going on. But yeah, it's nice to see their relationships for me and also to even see my relationship for me with him, Like how much more comfortable we got as time went on, And it's nice to watch back. Yeah, I always found watching it back there was like so many different emotions, but like the itms of the other women, specifically for the controversial women of the season, we're always the biggest shocker. But I really want to talk to you about that two on one, but first let's take it back a little bit. So in the midst of the shrimp gate fiasco, you had such a genuine moment and honestly, this was one of my roses of the week. I don't know if you heard what we do like rose and Thorns, and I loved this moment where you just absolutely lost it on Cheney at the cocktail party, and I just could. You were saying everything is a viewer that I wanted someone to say, and I didn't find you were mean about it anyway, but you were like, I'm putting my foot down on this. Can you just tell us more about that moment and why you just couldn't keep it in anymore? Oh? Yeah, Janey and I were like totally, Like the first few days, you were fine, You're bump mets. I was on the top boat shoes right below me, so we were fine. And so when I heard about her talking about Elizabeth's mental health, that kind of that's what triggered me. I think because I've been bullied as a kid. I don't like I don't like watching anyone be bullied, and especially someone so sweet like Elizabeth. And Janey's explanation for why she believe it didn't make sense. So I mean, I just like I had had enough. I snee not apologizing. She would say she knew it was wrong, but she wouldn't apologize. Elizabeth was being the bigger person in it. Just she was really upsetting everyone, and I think everyone was worried to say something, and when she just kept saying shrimp, shrimp, shrimp. That's when I stood up and I was like, holy shit, it's not about the shrimp. And I just I can't believe that it like escalated to the way it did from that one day of making shrimp and it turned into all that, And then watching back the interviews with Shanee saying like, oh I got him all this stuff, it's like it's it's crazy. I mean, it's crazy for all of us to watch. I can't imagine play and watching it and having to just like, that's gotta be a bad feeling, knowing that you really trusted someone. And then basically the whole time you're like going behind your back and new interviews saying that they're playing you. I want to ask you. So taking it back to that confrontation and her, you know, the word shrimp kept being brought up, like to anyone watching, like the shrimp vocabulary that, like that issue just seemed so petty, and I think there was so much more and and it seemed like you and some of the other girls had questioned her like, Okay, there's got to be something more to this. You're not just mad about a shellfish, right, And so at any point ever, and maybe just wasn't shown, it didn't air. Did she ever give you tangible reasons of why she was actually upset? Absolutely not. Her first reason for being upset. The first issue with Elizabeth was that Colone Elizabeth were close in the beginning, and then Elizabeth was around Shine and she complimented another woman in Dan Complimentstion, and so she brought that to Elizbeth. She's like, you were compliment the complimenting the other woman, and you didn't compliment me in so that's what that was the first beard, like, that's what the dramas about. And then when we heard it was about to shrimp. I mean, it just couldn't get any worse. And like when I was when I was speaking up to Chene like like you said, siRNA, I wasn't trying to be malicious. I wasn't trying to be mean. I wasn't calling her a bitch. I was just staying in the facts, like you said this about Elizabeth and you're refusing to apologize. And then like I was like, please tell me why she's lying. I was trying to just get her to talk, and she just kept saying, I'm not talking about I'm not talking about it, and that was making me more mad because I'm like, we're all losing time at this cocktail party and you can't even like own up to it or apologize or even talk about it at us. So we tried so many times to talk to that girl, and she just she didn't want it. She just wanted to be faked us and then go to Clayton and kind of do her own thing, her a little act. She was like hermo, Yeah, I just cry faked tears and kiss them. And I think that moment was so good because it really highlighted that there was nothing behind her claims, you know what I mean. Like for the viewers, I feel like it was like you put her on the spot and you were like, no, this is the time for you to actually explain and give us a valid reason of why you could possibly behave in this way, and she just couldn't do it. But I mean, we saw the apology. You guys moved to Toronto, And did you have any feeling that the two on one may be coming? Because I know on my season we did not see it coming. It was not in my head. But I mean the second things at that day card and mean Shanee's name. I mean I was like, no way, I knew it right away, and then Shanee was just asking, like what it was, and I was trying to explain one of us was from one of us stays she wasn't really understanding. But yeah, that was like it was hard finding that out and it was just like such a stressful week. Yeah, I mean, those two one ones are never fun. I can speak from experience. They're very uncomble. But I don't think anyone assumed it was going to be you on that And quite frankly, I couldn't have pictured anyone else alongside Shane because at that point she really was the only one bringing the drama. And I think it was just because you had that confrontation with her several weeks prior to that. Last week, we had Gabby on and she kind of explained just how tense it was being in the room with you and Shaney prior to the two on one, and we obviously saw just through Sheney's interviews that she had something rehearsed. She was like planning out what she wanted to say to Clayton on that two on one, But like, what kind of mindset were you in, did you prep at all? Or like, where were you at before going on to that two on one? And I originally found out, I mean I was like, oh my goodness, so many emotions. But the more I thought about it, I think if anyone were to go on the chane or I would want it to be myself. I think that I was able to. I know, I'm able to stick up for myself, and I don't I don't know the other woman. I mean, they're amazing, but I don't know if they were in that situation, if she able to pull something like she did with me, what like how they would have reacted. So yeah, I was pretty I was pretty levelheaded. Like I was just like, I'm going to treat this as a one on one. I know she's here, and I was just telling myself that I did nothing wrong. I've been myself this entire time. I've been my true self. She has not, she has grown a trophy. She has just been so ridiculous to a lot of the women. So I kind of I was in good spirits. I was nervous because I mean I knew it was going to be uncomfortable, but I had high hopes because I felt a strong connection with Clayton and I feel like it was time for China to go and for him to just kind of see her true self. And yeah, that's what I was hoping for, and I'm so lucky that it ended that way. So on a scale of one to ten, going into the two on one, how confident were you that you were in view the one to come up with a rose? On to ten, I was an eight. I was pretty comfort I would leave with the rose. That's good. And yeah, I mean like all the other women, I mean they were like they were saying they were starting to get up sets in like if she comes home, Susie I know said and one of the last episodes like I'm going to start taking my relationship with him less seriously if he leaves geneean ni arful. So I was kind of just thinking. I was like this, I mean, this can't be this way. I was also telling myself, whatever's meant to happen will happen. I to himself that from the beginning. So I just want to go in there with the positive attitude, have fun, be myself, and I had a feeling something was coming. I didn't rehearse anything at all. I couldn't believe that she was saying she rehearsed, and she said it in the mirror. I mean, I didn't rehearse the single thing. I was just preparing myself for whatever she name may make up and what I wanted to like talk to Clayton about. But unfortunately the conversation was kind of just geared towards shine and also me not being able to open up and that's not a story. Well, and because he pulled you first to talk on that two on one, so it seemed like that one well, like we could all tell it was very emotional for you to get in that vulnerable space and like open up more, especially being in such a weird setting. But the entire time, it's like, you know, you say you were at an eighth Shane, I would swear she thought she was like at a twelve. She like thought she had it in the bag. She was set, like, how did you feel after leaving your one on one time with him that day and then knowing he still had yet to talk to Cheney, Because at that point, obviously she could have said anything, were you worried about that? Or where you like, I'm just going to focus on our good connection. So I was definitely worried. I was worried about what should I could possibly say. So I did say to Clayton, I was like, I know I'm talking to you first, I don't know, but she's going to try and pull what she's going to say. So if she brings anything to you, all askings that you bring it to me before you make a decision, like please ask me and so let me explain myself if I am able to. But it was really just more like I was. I was emotional because like it's hard for me to open up. I was explaining to him there's so many women I'm so afraid of getting my heart broken, and I mean just all these incredible women seeing the relationships that grow. I was just worried about being hurt. But I yeah, I felt really good about our conversation, like how it ended with like he asked me if I'm able to get let my walls down and open up, and I said, I'd just like I take longer than most people, and you responded very well to that. And then I did say the thing about SHANEI like, please let me know, and I left it kind of feeling good because I mean, we had a good conversation, we had a nice kiss, it went well, and then I just I knew something was gonna happen to Shane, so I was expecting when he came back, I was like, what is this going to be? And sure enough it was yeah, oh yeah, I mean you weren't expecting that. Yeah. My look of shock on your face was so pure. But the way he delivered it, I was like, I wish it was like, what's going Let's give a little context to the question. Yeah, He's like, yeah, I had a question, and I was like okay, and I was like I told him to do this. They told him. I asked me she brings anything up, but like are you an actress? And are you why to me? And like I was like, I froze. I like stuttered for like ten seconds, and then I think I said whoa, and then he walked away. I didn't even know what to say. I was like, and then I asked them to explain, like, please explain what you're talking about. And then she and I brought up like oh I heard you be saying you want to pack your bags and go home? And I was like, yes, I said that it's been a very stressful week for me, and I just talked to fan about that. Actually, um, it's like it's been the most stressful week for me. And last night, just knowing I had to go on the State, I wasn't able to talk to my family. I'm just home sick, like all that had nothing to do do with Layton. And she's like, Okay, but are you here for Clayton? And it just like the fashion called why else would I be here? I wanted two on one. I don't know, Okay, Honestly, if I would have been you in that position, I would have started laughing, like there's no way I would have been able to hold it in because it was just so far from the truth, especially now piecing together everything Shenay was saying that I don't know how you kept it kept it together. I would have burst out laughing and like, am I I think so're gonna said this earlier? Am I being punked? Like is this a joke? Like is this a serious question? No? Seriously like I was. I was shocked. And Clayton actually told me after he said I knew right away to look on your face that you were in mine. He's like I could just tell I mean I was. I was like, whoa, Um, I didn't even know what to say because I had nothing I did. I couldn't think of anything that I lied about that I acted. So yeah, that was what I was, like, what else did you hear from the conversation. She's like, that's it, I just heard you want to pack your asking me. I'm like, so, yeah, he was very good about it. He responded really well, he's very kind in Mike sincere. So it went, it went well, But I was mind blown at that. Well, I want to ask you this because the way he delivered it and just I would say, even the way he handled the entire two on one like he again, I think, and this is something that I've said that is an issue for me personally with cleanness. He doesn't ask direct, assertive questions like he's still he's still I was lingering in this like confused stage. I feel like it leaves a lot of us viewers in that phase too. But like, if I were you, I would have been kind of offended for this guy that I thought I had a good connection with, that I thought I was building something with flat out asked me in that way I would have been like, what the heck? Like I understand like he wanted to question you, I get that, but I think the delivery of it would have just maybe been a turn off for me. I also wish that he had pulled you aside and not done it in front of Chennai. Yes, me too, M Yeah, I think that could have gone differently. I am glad he addressed with me, but I do wish you would have asked said, generave, can I please like speak with you privately? Yeah. And it's it's upsetting because I was so if you ask any girl in the house, sis shan't Cassie. I was so real the whole time. I was myself at like my friends and family watching back and like back to jenas So I was like, I was just totally myself the whole time. And it was a little upsetting for him to question kind of if I was faking the entire thing when I thought like we did have a strong relationship. But I'm glad that two and one ended the way that it did. And I think it was so fun getting to see you guys celebrate with the Champaigne. And I know Clayton even mentioned he heard you guys singing in the elevator of the whole season. I was my favorite moment coming back walking into that room with the rose and seeing the girl's faces like tears of happiness and like scream and just like hubs. It was amazing. I was I absolutely loved it. Then they brought down champagne. They did a little toast. I was like, it just made it all worth it. And I was so black. They were so painful that she was gone. The mood changed so much. It was crazy. We like that that cocktail party. I don't think there was any drama, like it just really flipped a switch. Bunch Shenney left and you could just feel it. It It was like a weight lifted off of all of our shoulders. I've never seen the celebration like that for one person to leave, Like usually there are seasons where somebody people are excited, but that was like on a whole other level, I know. And then I think they popped champagne. When when they came into the Cheney's suitcase, they popped champagne. Before I was even back. They had a little celebration, so and they all they all went around and kind of did a toast. Um and just told me like I've been a rock for them, I've stepped up for them, and thinking me it was just like I was crying. I loved it so much. It was that is very sweet. That's a nice moment. Well, we left all of the drama, well not all the drama. We left the snee drama in Toronto and Clayton tells you, guys, you are going to Croatia. How excited were you? Because I was so jealous of you guys. I was so excited. I mean, especially the first season, like traveling again, I wasn't expecting like that. I I mean we had been to Houston, Toronto, I was not expecting Croatia. I was so excited. And it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I don't know, have you either of you been? Oh, but yeah, yeah I'm Croatia. I have family there. So when I saw you were going, I was so jealous. Oh that's amazing. It's it's beautiful, and like just the people who were so kind and just the culture. I loved it all. It was The view from our hotel was like incredible. Yeah, it was amazing. I wish I got to explore a little more, but it was great. Yeah, well you went on what I would say, it was a very fun group date. Um. I would have loved that date, minus eating all of the interesting food. Did you actually eat the fish eyeballs? Yeah, it was the worst. It was the worst. Um. I actually asked Mattio, I think the same as. So they brought all the fish heads and you have squeezed the head to get the eyeball out and take that, and I'm like, So I was like, Mattio, can you please squeeze the head for me? Can you please get the eyeball out? And so he's like, yeahs squeeze it. And so I was like and then it was part sliming, like part hard like a shell. It's like there's like a marble in the middle of the eyeballs. Yes, yes, I hate that. You know that. You know that you shouldn't know that. Well, I used to go fishing with my dad all the time and I would play with this is bad. But when I was born, I would like play with the dead fish. And yeah. But well, so when they when they like lifted up the lids for all the food, at first I thought that they were saying what it was but I was like, oh, this is a joke, Like this is actually gonna be something good and delicious. But then I saw the faces of all of you women when you were eating and squeezing everything, and I was like, Oh, they really are eating this. We had to do a raw egg on my season. I thought that was bad. That was nothing compared to what you guys did. Did Clayton eat any of it? Because I feel like, if he's giving you crap, okay, good. I'm gonna say, if he's giving you crap from plunging in your nose, and he participated in everything, so like, that's a good thing. I was I would have made him eat something if I think that you were too good. That was a good thing, Jenny. But I want to talk about a couple of the roses that were handed out while you guys were in Croatia, because the first one I went to Teddy and I feel like that kind of made sense. You know, she got that first impression Rose. She hadn't had a one on one date yet. It really did feel like her time. But I want to ask you there were two roses handed out after that, Rachel being her second group date, Rose, and then Sarah being her second one on one date. What were your thoughts on that? Were you surprised? Did you see it coming? So? I was on the group date with Rachel when she got that second rose, and she had told me. We were kind of talking about who do we think is gonna get the rose, and she told me she said she got it last week, so she didn't. She was like, I have I just don't think I'm getting it. So I, honestly I thought the rose was gonna go to Serene. She won the night. I don't know what that was. She won that little competition, and yes she was. She looked really good. She seen my shoes having to a conversation with him. I thought I was going to go to her. I was a little surprised. I mean, I love Rachel. I think she's so sweet. I think they have an amazing connection. So I wasn't I wasn't surprised about that, But then comes Sarah. I was surprised about that. For sure. I had had a two on one, and some of the girls still there hadn't hadn't had a one on one, and so let me hear Sarah's name for a second time, and everyone was mindful, and we didn't really know what to think. We were like, this could be good or it could be bad because he either really really likes her, wants more time, or he has something to really address with her. I felt for you guys having been there and not gotten one on ones yet I also vote for Sarah just a little bit because I was. I was in her shoes. On my season. I got the second I was the one who got a second one on one, and it was incredibly uncomfortable. And there's almost like that sense of guilt of I'm so happy because I really want this, but I understand that I am really taking away from friends of mine that we're hoping and probably expecting to get that date this week. So yeah, it's definitely a tough one. I remember, like Sarah said that, she said kind of the same thing. She was like, of course, I'm excited, but I mean I feel for everyone that hasn't had a one on one. It Mara, Eliza and I hadn't had a one on one. I wasn't expecting on honestly, because it's the two I'm on. But yeah, I want to ask this because so the way that the episode ended was a to be continued. We see Mara at home talking about Sarah, saying she doesn't think she's ready for what's to come. She doesn't think she's ready for the engagement, for a marriage, she's just too young. But then we see Clayton on his one on one with Sarah bring this up to her. They have a conversation, and then Sarah's basically lit on fire. She is pissed coming home. We don't see the confrontation quite yet between the two, but was it building up before then, Like, did Sarah and Mara have a conversation at all prior to that about age, not being ready for an engagement anything? Oh, I think it started at the roast, to be honest, I wasn't at the roast because it was the two on one date, but I think that's where it started. They kind of both went out each other for their ages and then something. There's just something sion And I mean, I do believe Marya really, I don't think she would go to Clayton. That's something she didn't really believe it and she didn't really see that in Sarah. I could tell I was very close with Marya in the house and she made just like some comments like she doesn't know if certain people are ready. She wouldn't really say Sarah's name, but she was like, I just don't know if some woman here ready for marriage and all that. On Sarah's end, I don't think she was more quiet, so I don't think she really said anything. They didn't really like have confrontation before that, Like they didn't like argue or anything. It was just kind of like things being said to friends and Clayton and all that stuff. So yeah, it wasn't like a they didn't they didn't talk about it and then go do something about it. Was kind of just like happened and they went to Clayton with it, and well the seed has and planted. Now I feel like something's brewing into next week for sure. When the episode ends on two, we continued, you know, we're starting on a strong note next week. That's how they all are. They're all to be continued. Have this one actually had it in writing. This one actually had it in writing. It was like an official too, we continue it did Oh my gosh, o the fall. It has been a wild episode and we know that there's still so much more to come. So without giving too much away, if you could describe Clayton's season in three words or one short phrase, what would you say? Wild ride? Okay? Nice? I feel like that's consistent. Everyone just like leaves us with like there's still a lot, Like it's still gonna be wild wold ride. Yeah. Well, we can't wait to see what's to come. But before we get into the game, is there anything else you want to say that you want to let Batchel Nation know about about you? Um? Hm um. I think I would like vachelination and know that. Um. I've gotten like a lot of messages about people feeling like they have more confidence and they feel like they can stick up for themselves watching me kind of stick up for myself and the people around me. So I would just like to say, like, if you are someone struggling or being bullied, it'll get better. It's hard and um, and it seems like at the moment like your world is just like crumbling around you, but it gets better. And once you learn that you are worthy and you've learned to stick up for yourself, like you'll see the change. That's not even about me. That's just a message that I would like to say that I've like kind of responded to a lot of like a lot of moms have reached out to me, like with their daughter or their son. Like my daughter has gained so much confidence just watching you and like has stood up for herself now, and it's like it's the most amazing feeling. It's the best thing. So nothing about me, but I just wanted to kind of share that well, and I want to commend you. And I should have said this at the top of the episode, but the way that you handled yourself with Shinney at that two on one where you were like, I'm not even going to engage or feel that fire. I I mean I was watching it. I was like, this is how it should be. Like if you know that there's drama going on, don't feed it. Just stay I hate to say this, but stay in your lane and focus on you. And you handled yourself so well, so respectfully, and so it was really great to see. So thank you for I would say, taking the high road in that weird, weird scenario. I I wasted too much, like yelling on her. I was just like at that point, I had I had said everything to play in and it was his choice to make and there's nothing else I could do. And I wasn't wasting any more time. Okay, So let's get into this game. We play it with all of our guests, and so it's kind of fun to piece together what you'll say and what some of the past past contestants on here have said too. So it's basically Bachelor superlative. We're gonna throw a most likely to phrase at you and then you just finish it. Yes, one girl, for each question from your season. It can be someone that's still here or someone that's gone home. And we love this because we can kind of see what you say versus what some of our other guests have said. Okay, question are we doing Rosenthorne? Yes, there got it? Okay, I'm scarious. Look at your compared. I love it all right, So we're gonna take it away girl, alrighty. We're gonna start off with who is most likely to get the party started? Arlena? Who's most likely to get the ladies laughing? Yabby? Who is the best cook? Kate? Kate cooked a lot for us and loved doing it and looks so cute doing it. So yeah, Kate, I feel like we're going kute for that one, along all three of the ones you've said so far, like right in line, I like, yeah, yeah, first person to wake up in the morning, Molina working out, running around good for her, but good for an acrol every morning. Most likely to be named miss congeniality choozie, best smile in the house. That's hard, um, I would say Serene. Serene smile is beautiful. Who is your best dressed? Best dressed? Ooh ooh? Maybe Eliza. She just always looked like she could just like, yeah, she looks like she could always just go to some event. She was always done up perfect and looking amazing, and all of her like downs and dresses. I actually loved so Eliza. Oh right, Who is the biggest gossip Sierah, love you, but it's okay. You're one of nni who has said that most likely to steal Clayton first at a cocktail party? Can I go back to Cassidy? Yeah? M hms, you can because she is the one that's always named every time. Yeah. Who is the first to go to bed? H I want to say Molina, because then you just get up early and broke out. And also I think Serene loved her sleep, so I think she was in bed pretty early too. Who was the messiest. Honestly, I'm not just saying this, but Chane she was. She was in the room of ten and her she had the three suitcases just opened up in the middle of the floor and you can get by anything. And then in the bathroom from me was just everywhere. So someone else of that too, I think. Really, Okay, yeah, I'm just saying that. No, I believe who is most likely to be found a loan to buy the pool? Melina? That goes like what I hope to be. She makes up an eighth, she works out, She bounds by the pool about working out somehow like living her very best life seriously gotterly Yeah, I all right? And our last question is who is most likely to be a bridesmaid in your wedding? Can I name a few? Yeah, you can name a few? Okay, yeah, Na, Sam and Nancy? Wait who is Sam? Dam? We didn't see much of her. Oh the red who came out in the bathtub. Okay, yes, I got you, Okay, so smart. She invented like medical device and sent and like sold him to Johnson and Johnson. I just found the style. I was like, But um, yeah, I love her. Okay, alrighty well, now is the time we will get into the rose and thorn. So I'll start, Serena will follow, and then we'll leave it the best for last with you. So I would say, my I'm gonna start with the thorn. I'm gonna say the thorn of the week is the fact that Marlena left. I am so bummed. I feel like I did not get enough of her. I want her back. So that is going to be my thorn. And then my rose I'm going to say, is that you all traveled to my homeland of Croatia's. Yeah, I know that that's very special. It was it looked so beautiful. I was so jealous. I was like, damn it, Yeah, I'm happy for you all. Yeah, all right. And then my thorn is going to have to be Clayton asking you, Genevieve, are you an actress? And are you lying? I just think one, I didn't really feel like that question needed to be asked. But if he did make the decision to ask it, which is totally fine and in his right, I feel like he could have gone about it in a much better way. And and my rose is the moment with Susie and Clayton in the clock Tower, just because it made me really nostalgic to some of my romantic moments. I love that. So actually, you, Mike Horn was going to be the same exact thing when Clayton, like the look on his face when he asked me if I'm an actress and if I'm mine and just feeling hurt knowing that I was just I was so open in myself and I was kind of being questioned and my rose it's definitely coming back after the two went on and all the girls just greeting me with the best huts and I felt so special and it was amazing. So yeah, that was good. That was the highlight of like the Susan I think, yeah, you deserved that moment, Like I think at that point everything was validated for you. So I'm so glad that you were able to experience that with all the support and hopefully lots of champagne. Yes, Jenevie, it has been so fun having you, and I'm glad that we were able to have you here to just dive into everything that you were feeling throughout those past couple of weeks, because I can imagine it was a lot. So thank you for sharing everything with us. It was a pleasure to have you nice meeting you guys. Thank you so much. Serena, that was so nice having her on. It's just good to hear more of her side of things, more of her perspective, because I feel like so much of every week was taken up by Shane, so I'm so glad that she could join us today. Yeah, she definitely has firsthand experience with Shanee on multiple occasions, and I'm really glad that Clayton made the decision to give her the Rose this week, and it was great having her on the podcast just to learn more about the behind the scenes. M Well, it sounds like we still have a long ways to go. Just from what she said describing the season, it's going to be still a wild ride. So I can't wait to see how next week unfolds, to see the drama between Mara and Sarah. But Serena, as always, it's so much fun having you.
