Ep:129 The Devil Of New Jersey

Bigfoot Crossroads

In the Pine Barrens of New Jersey are tales of a monster, transformed from an unwanted and cursed child years ago. The New Jersey Devil is a well known subject of folklore, but for one father and son duo who encountered the devil, the creature is more than just an urban legend.

<v Speaker 1>In seventeen thirty five, Mother Leeds was pregnant with her
<v Speaker 1>thirteenth child, and according to the legend, she did not
<v Speaker 1>want this child.
<v Speaker 2>She had a lot of problems with the birth, and.
<v Speaker 1>She cursed the child, and the child was immediately transformed
<v Speaker 1>and born with hooves, back, wings, goat feet, a whole
<v Speaker 1>mess of different animals, and supposedly flew out of the
<v Speaker 1>chimney and has been haunting the pine barrens for the
<v Speaker 1>past almost three hundred years.
<v Speaker 3>They're coming home and they suddenly turn around and they
<v Speaker 3>see what.
<v Speaker 2>Appears to be a horse under the street light.
<v Speaker 3>It reared up like a horse, and he said, the
<v Speaker 3>wing shot out from the side. Then his best friend's like, yo,
<v Speaker 3>that's not a horse, that's the Jersey devil. So they
<v Speaker 3>take off start running, they said. As they were running,
<v Speaker 3>they could hear the host hitting the asphalt, and you
<v Speaker 3>know they they're terrified. He dips off into his yard
<v Speaker 3>and he yells to my brother is right behind you.
<v Speaker 2>Don't stop running.
<v Speaker 4>This is Bigfoot Crossroads. My name's Matt, and do I
<v Speaker 4>have a treat for you? I'm excited. At least one
<v Speaker 4>of my favorite subjects whenever it comes to the world
<v Speaker 4>of the Unexplained has always been the Jersey Devil. The
<v Speaker 4>last thing I was expecting was an email from somebody
<v Speaker 4>who's actually into the Jersey Devil and has had an
<v Speaker 4>encounter with the Jersey Devil. I'd like to introduce and
<v Speaker 4>welcome to the show Stefan and his father Michael. Guys,
<v Speaker 4>thanks for joining me.
<v Speaker 3>Man, Wow, hey man, we are so glad to be here.
<v Speaker 3>We're so glad that you're taking our story and we're
<v Speaker 3>ready to share it. It's a pleasure and we're so
<v Speaker 3>happy to be here.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>Matt.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, man, absolutely, you know. So the Paranormal Files, Man,
<v Speaker 4>I just watched that today and that I just recently
<v Speaker 4>found out about that channel in the past few months.
<v Speaker 4>As a matter of fact, all of this is just
<v Speaker 4>kind of weird how these little pieces of the Puddler
<v Speaker 4>are falling in place for me right now. So you'll
<v Speaker 4>have to bear with me. But I'm going to pretend
<v Speaker 4>like I didn't watch it though, because I want to hear,
<v Speaker 4>you know, straight from you guys everything first, just to
<v Speaker 4>get us started, tell us exactly what is the story
<v Speaker 4>the folklore behind the Jersey Devil.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so the legend behind The Jersey Devil goes that
<v Speaker 1>in seventeen thirty five, Mother Leeds was pregnant with her
<v Speaker 1>thirteenth child, and according to the legend, she did not
<v Speaker 1>want this child.
<v Speaker 5>She had a lot of problems with the birth.
<v Speaker 1>And she cursed the child, according to the legend, and
<v Speaker 1>the child was immediately transformed and born with Goo's back, wings,
<v Speaker 1>goat feet, a whole mess of different animals, creatures, whatever
<v Speaker 1>you want to call it, and supposedly flew out of
<v Speaker 1>the chimney and has been haunting the pine barrens for
<v Speaker 1>the past almost three hundred years now.
<v Speaker 4>Craziness. I remember getting a book whenever I was a
<v Speaker 4>little kid, and I believe the book was called Monsters
<v Speaker 4>You've Never Heard Of And on the cover was this
<v Speaker 4>monster unlike anything I'd ever seen before. The illustrator that
<v Speaker 4>did the cover did an amazing job of capturing just
<v Speaker 4>this frightening image of the Jersey Devil. And there were
<v Speaker 4>some stories in the book, of course, talking about, you know,
<v Speaker 4>the first encounters of finding you know, hoof tracks on
<v Speaker 4>roofs and things like that. How did you, guys, I
<v Speaker 4>guess it would have been you first Michael get hooked
<v Speaker 4>into this folklore. Is it just because of where you
<v Speaker 4>grew up.
<v Speaker 3>Well, you know, being in New Jersey and myself my
<v Speaker 3>parents came here in nineteen seventy one, and anyone who
<v Speaker 3>lives in South Jersey or maybe even North Jersey, but
<v Speaker 3>definitely South Jersey knows about the Jersey Devil. So my
<v Speaker 3>first time hearing about it was when I was like
<v Speaker 3>about five six years old.
<v Speaker 2>Like I said, you know, he came here.
<v Speaker 3>Seventy one, when I was for seventy three, my brother
<v Speaker 3>actually had an encounter with it, and it was from
<v Speaker 3>that point on that you know, it sparked the interest
<v Speaker 3>in me. And there was a documentary that that's on
<v Speaker 3>YouTube now called Mother Leed's Thirteenth Child that they're on
<v Speaker 3>Channel twenty three in this area WNJN. They ran that
<v Speaker 3>documentary and I was probably like seven years old, it's
<v Speaker 3>like seventy four, nineteen seventy four, and I just remember
<v Speaker 3>looking at it and I was so afraid and just
<v Speaker 3>like but intrigued at the same time, and it just
<v Speaker 3>sparked this interest in me. And like I say, moving forward,
<v Speaker 3>I saw it again in fifth grade. This was like
<v Speaker 3>nineteen seventy seven, and and then that was probably the
<v Speaker 3>last time I saw that documentary, I meant to say.
<v Speaker 3>And then after that it's been like a search, like
<v Speaker 3>trying to find that NJN documentary Mother Leed's thirteen Child
<v Speaker 3>I could never find. And it wasn't until the invention
<v Speaker 3>of the Internet and YouTube and so forth that you know,
<v Speaker 3>just you know, messing around with my son. We on
<v Speaker 3>the internet one night and we actually found it. And
<v Speaker 3>that led us to one day saying, hey, let's google
<v Speaker 3>this place called Least Point.
<v Speaker 2>We did that and we got in the car and
<v Speaker 2>we went.
<v Speaker 3>Down there, and not expecting anything to happen, our lives
<v Speaker 3>with ever changed.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, man, that's just crazy, Yes, how everything plays out
<v Speaker 4>like that. You mentioned your brother having an encounter. Could
<v Speaker 4>you talk about that?
<v Speaker 2>Oh?
<v Speaker 3>Absolutely, This was like going back nineteen seventy three, him
<v Speaker 3>and one of his one of his best friend's day.
<v Speaker 3>You know, it's in the summertime, you know, hanging out
<v Speaker 3>and back down. You know, in those days, you know
<v Speaker 3>things echos like a rural areas like you know, we
<v Speaker 3>got the Accho Raceway, but it's you know, it's a
<v Speaker 3>wooded area.
<v Speaker 2>So him and his friend was.
<v Speaker 3>Hanging out one night and they was walking home just
<v Speaker 3>dark after nine pm, and he says that they're coming home,
<v Speaker 3>and they they suddenly suddenly turn around and they see
<v Speaker 3>what appears to be a horse under the street light,
<v Speaker 3>like about I would say if it takes seventy five
<v Speaker 3>eighty ninety yards away from them, and they was like
<v Speaker 3>somebody horse got out. And my brother said, well, if
<v Speaker 3>he comes down here, I'm going to ride him. And
<v Speaker 3>when my brother said, he said that it reared up
<v Speaker 3>like a horse and he said the wing shot out
<v Speaker 3>from the side. Then his best friend's like, yo, that's
<v Speaker 3>not a horse, that's the Jersey Devil. So they take
<v Speaker 3>off start running, and they said as they was running,
<v Speaker 3>they could hear the hoofs hitting the asphalt, and you know,
<v Speaker 3>they they're terrified.
<v Speaker 2>Where my brother's best friend lived. He lived.
<v Speaker 3>His house was before our house and the way they
<v Speaker 3>was running. So he dips off into his yard and
<v Speaker 3>he yells to my brother, it's right behind you. Don't
<v Speaker 3>stop running. My brother had to run past his best
<v Speaker 3>friend's house. Our neighbors cut through the yard diagonally and
<v Speaker 3>come through the back door of our house where we
<v Speaker 3>was living. So we're all in the house like nine
<v Speaker 3>thirty quarter to ten. You know, he bustes through the
<v Speaker 3>door boom, yelling and screaming off the jersey devil's chasing
<v Speaker 3>me and we he runs in the living room, you know,
<v Speaker 3>me and my two sisters, my mom and dad.
<v Speaker 2>We all joking like what are you talking about? And
<v Speaker 2>my mother's yelling at him like calm down, you know,
<v Speaker 2>trying to calm down.
<v Speaker 3>He's crying and out of breath and you know, just
<v Speaker 3>wailing and going on about the jergy double chasing. So
<v Speaker 3>here's the funny part. My mom is like, was you
<v Speaker 3>out there smoking?
<v Speaker 2>Well she called it reefer. Yeah, She's like, you got
<v Speaker 2>this smoking reefer. And my brother's like, no, no.
<v Speaker 3>He was sincere so calmed him down, and you know,
<v Speaker 3>he tells the story and she's like, yeah, you was
<v Speaker 3>out there smoking.
<v Speaker 2>Just just go to bed whatever. Now.
<v Speaker 3>Before this all happened that morning, my grandfather painted that
<v Speaker 3>it was a white door at a storm door loud,
<v Speaker 3>not a storm door like aluminum door. He painted it
<v Speaker 3>was white when he brought it from the store. He
<v Speaker 3>painted it dark brown, like a chocolate deep chocolate brown.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know why, but that's what he painted it.
<v Speaker 3>So when we go out the next morning, we see
<v Speaker 3>claw marks that broke the brown paint that my grandfather painted,
<v Speaker 3>and underneath you see the white door, the scratch. We
<v Speaker 3>all looking at each other. I remember, I'm a kid,
<v Speaker 3>I'm like five six years old. I'm looking and my
<v Speaker 3>grandfather says, Oh, that was nothing but a wild dog
<v Speaker 3>that chased him, Just a wild dog, and that.
<v Speaker 2>Was the story. But to this very day, I, you know,
<v Speaker 2>told my brother about me and my son's experience of
<v Speaker 2>seeing it. He refuses. He will not get in the
<v Speaker 2>car and come down at least quite with us. He says,
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to see that again. He's terrified of that.
<v Speaker 3>I showed him a picture of it one day, of
<v Speaker 3>a wax figurine. He almost knocked the phone out my
<v Speaker 3>hand when I just showed him the picture. He's like,
<v Speaker 3>ohh man, get that away from me. That's how traumatized
<v Speaker 3>he is still to this day from what he saw,
<v Speaker 3>which is incredible.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, as a son, what did you think about all this?
<v Speaker 2>Man?
<v Speaker 4>What do you think? Whenever Pop said that the Jersey
<v Speaker 4>Devil's real.
<v Speaker 1>Growing up and hearing about the stories, it used to
<v Speaker 1>scare me, and as a kid, I never really gave
<v Speaker 1>it a lot of thought until we watched the nineteen
<v Speaker 1>seventy four documentary. We decided, Hey, let's GPS this place
<v Speaker 1>and go down. And we went down and looked around,
<v Speaker 1>and the first thing we noticed about the place was
<v Speaker 1>it looked just like the documentary, like nothing changed in
<v Speaker 1>like forever about that place. And you know, I did
<v Speaker 1>live in Galloway, which is right by Leeds Point.
<v Speaker 5>That's not far at all, maybe ten to fifteen minutes, And.
<v Speaker 1>I remember hearing about people saying, all the Jersey Devil's
<v Speaker 1>home is near here, and I never knew where Leeds
<v Speaker 1>Point was. And when we GPS did and we saw
<v Speaker 1>where it was, I couldn't believe how close I lived
<v Speaker 1>to where the legend and the birthplace and all that
<v Speaker 1>cool stuff was.
<v Speaker 2>I had no idea about it.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that's crazy. I mean where I live here in Oklahoma,
<v Speaker 4>you know, we've got our own urban legends and folks
<v Speaker 4>and all that. And you hear stories growing up as
<v Speaker 4>a kid, and there's a few times where there's like
<v Speaker 4>maybe a place that's associated with something, but it's completely
<v Speaker 4>different compared to how the Jersey Devil is. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>this is a thing where you have the family's name
<v Speaker 4>to begin with but then you have Leeds Point area.
<v Speaker 4>It's still got the family name and everything. And you
<v Speaker 4>guys were actually able to find like an old homestead
<v Speaker 4>or something that was connected to the Leeds family. Could
<v Speaker 4>you talk about that.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, absolutely, we you know, once we had our initial sighting,
<v Speaker 3>it kind of just put us on this path where
<v Speaker 3>we just had to find out as much information as
<v Speaker 3>we we could. And if you remember from the Paranormal Files,
<v Speaker 3>there was a scene in that documentary where they show.
<v Speaker 2>A Leeds Point map. Yeah, I don't know if you
<v Speaker 2>seeing that.
<v Speaker 3>Well, according to that map, that map shows the names
<v Speaker 3>of the Leeds that lived in that area and the
<v Speaker 3>area hasn't changed since since seventeen thirty five, not too much.
<v Speaker 3>And we actually stood in the foundation.
<v Speaker 2>Of an actual Leeds member.
<v Speaker 3>So this was a real family, This is a real town,
<v Speaker 3>and this really happened. We stood on the grounds where
<v Speaker 3>it all began. Yes, indeed, he stood in the foundation
<v Speaker 3>of the homes. And one of those foundations, the foundation
<v Speaker 3>we was in in that documentary video, there's a chimney.
<v Speaker 2>That's still there, pieces like remnants of it.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, and that's the chimney that the Jersey Devil flew
<v Speaker 1>out of and it's like an old it looks like limestone.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, yes, absolutely.
<v Speaker 4>So just walk us through that day when you guys decided, hey,
<v Speaker 4>let's go check this spot out. You got the GPS
<v Speaker 4>coordinates and you go there.
<v Speaker 3>All right, Well this is how it was June third,
<v Speaker 3>twenty seventeen. And we got the coordinates and we hopped
<v Speaker 3>in the car. It was me, my son Stefan, and
<v Speaker 3>his baby brother Jayden. We all went go down. We
<v Speaker 3>get to Lee's point. It's like two pm, two thirty
<v Speaker 3>whatever between that time in the afternoon on a summer
<v Speaker 3>day June third, twenty seventeen, I mean blue Skies.
<v Speaker 2>We could have been at the beach, relaxing, walking.
<v Speaker 3>The borderwalk, but we out here in the marsh back
<v Speaker 3>you know, on Oyster Creek Road, because that's where we
<v Speaker 3>actually saw this sight, at forty two Oyster Creek Road.
<v Speaker 2>So we're out here.
<v Speaker 3>The first thing we noticed it's awfully quiet, like you
<v Speaker 3>can hear a pin drop.
<v Speaker 2>It's like, gosh, it's.
<v Speaker 3>Just an ominous feeling. It's just really like very eerie. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>it's eerie. It's just eerie. So we looking around and
<v Speaker 3>I was like, wow, it looks just like the nineteen
<v Speaker 3>seventy for a documentary and jay n nothing has too
<v Speaker 3>much change, all this marsh and reeds and everything.
<v Speaker 2>So when we went there, we didn't see anything at first.
<v Speaker 3>It wasn't until my son said, Dad, let's go down
<v Speaker 3>to the end of the road and see what's down there.
<v Speaker 2>I said, sure, no problem. So we all three of us,
<v Speaker 2>we jump in the car. We drive down. I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>not even a quarter mile, maybe so little under quarter mile.
<v Speaker 2>We drive down. We get to the end of the road.
<v Speaker 3>There's an oyster creek bar and grill. Oh no, that's cool,
<v Speaker 3>I said, all right, little restaurant out here. I said,
<v Speaker 3>all right, you turn them. We're gonna get out of
<v Speaker 3>here and we're gonna go home. And that's when the
<v Speaker 3>craziness starts.
<v Speaker 2>So we turn around. I'm heading out now.
<v Speaker 3>I'm looking to my driver's side, which is would be
<v Speaker 3>my left, and I'm looking and it seemed like the
<v Speaker 3>sun casting on the tree line took the shape of
<v Speaker 3>something that looks like a camel or a long long
<v Speaker 3>neck giraffe or something. And I'm and I'm looking, but
<v Speaker 3>the trees is breaking up my vision because I'm trying
<v Speaker 3>to keep my eyes on the road, but while like,
<v Speaker 3>you know, glancing over and I'm like, what is that right,
<v Speaker 3>And my son Stepfan is like, Dad were talking about
<v Speaker 3>I said, now I see something.
<v Speaker 2>So we get back.
<v Speaker 3>To the clearing where we where we where we first
<v Speaker 3>came out there at. So I get out the car,
<v Speaker 3>Steph gets out the car, Jaden gets out the car.
<v Speaker 2>We walk over.
<v Speaker 3>This is the guy on the truth. So I look
<v Speaker 3>out and were looking.
<v Speaker 2>Out what you say, stuff by one hundred yards, hundred
<v Speaker 2>fifty yards, yeah, give it, take about one hundred and
<v Speaker 2>fiftyred And I'm like, Steph, somebody's horse got out.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, And he's looking at me and he's like, I
<v Speaker 3>don't see it, Dad, So I point I said, look
<v Speaker 3>over my finger.
<v Speaker 2>So he looks over my finger.
<v Speaker 3>He was like, oh my god, like yeah, somebody horse
<v Speaker 3>and Carol got out. And it wasn't til my son says, Dad,
<v Speaker 3>we are in the middle of a marsh. There was
<v Speaker 3>no farms around here, and it was from that point
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, I know, that's not what I think I'm seeing,
<v Speaker 3>and it was just everything was just perplexing from that
<v Speaker 3>point on, which is like, oh my goodness. And basically
<v Speaker 3>it was walking in motion, occasionally moving his head to
<v Speaker 3>the left to the right, but it never advanced. It
<v Speaker 3>was just moving in place. It had his back towards us,
<v Speaker 3>and it was like a dark, dark brown with a
<v Speaker 3>long forked tail.
<v Speaker 2>In the back. It was crazy. I didn't see any wings.
<v Speaker 3>We didn't see any wings, but it was walking away
<v Speaker 3>for us, away from us, and I was expecting it
<v Speaker 3>to go over the hill and disappeared, but it never did.
<v Speaker 2>And Stephan, if you.
<v Speaker 1>Want to elaborate home war, what was your At first,
<v Speaker 1>I was in shock at what we were seeing. And
<v Speaker 1>the hardest thing for me to digest about the whole
<v Speaker 1>sighting was the fact that this was once a person.
<v Speaker 1>Was very hard for me to believe because what we
<v Speaker 1>saw was anything but human. It was in any way
<v Speaker 1>a human at all.
<v Speaker 2>Man. This thing had fur, you could see the fur.
<v Speaker 1>And the interesting thing about its whole image was the
<v Speaker 1>appearance seen to have a shimmer to it, like a shine.
<v Speaker 1>So we really believed that what we saw could have
<v Speaker 1>been something power normal. And you know, it never went
<v Speaker 1>into the woods. And the strangest thing was when we
<v Speaker 1>first pulled over, there was nothing in sight.
<v Speaker 2>Man.
<v Speaker 1>Either way we looked, we didn't see nothing that. It's
<v Speaker 1>a wide open marsh and there's nothing but a small
<v Speaker 1>patch of woods that backs up to a boat launch
<v Speaker 1>called Scott's Landing. And when we turned around and my
<v Speaker 1>dad's saying he's seeing a camel or a giraffe, I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 2>And we pull over.
<v Speaker 1>And I look out and I just started thinking about
<v Speaker 1>the legend and the story, and it was scary.
<v Speaker 2>It was mystifying.
<v Speaker 1>It was a little heart wrenching to think, like, wow,
<v Speaker 1>is that really a person doomed to like such a
<v Speaker 1>life like that? Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>There was even a point where my youngest son, Jaden,
<v Speaker 3>was like, Dad, you think it could be a moose?
<v Speaker 3>And I'm like, no, No, that sounds crazy, right, I'm like, Jaden,
<v Speaker 3>We're in New Jersey. We're not in Alaska or wherever
<v Speaker 3>moose are from.
<v Speaker 2>No, We're in New Jersey.
<v Speaker 3>So clearly we all there are three sets of eyes
<v Speaker 3>looking at something that is walking on all fours and
<v Speaker 3>we're not the loose in I mean, how can three
<v Speaker 3>people be illucinating seeing the.
<v Speaker 5>Same thing during the day?
<v Speaker 3>And it was crazy, It was crazy, and it was
<v Speaker 3>it was from that point on that our lives were
<v Speaker 3>forever change. And we've been going back and we have
<v Speaker 3>we have so many We had a couple of encounters
<v Speaker 3>with this thing.
<v Speaker 4>So how long did you watch it for that day?
<v Speaker 2>We might have what do you say? Stuff?
<v Speaker 1>We had to have been there for at least twenty
<v Speaker 1>minutes because we could not get over what we were seeing.
<v Speaker 3>It just it was just there. It was there, and
<v Speaker 3>like I said, it was walking, but it was. It
<v Speaker 3>wasn't advancing it never. I was waiting for it to
<v Speaker 3>disappear out of sight, but it didn't, and and eventually
<v Speaker 3>we just left were just like, this is crazy. But
<v Speaker 3>the whole ride home, we're looking at each other did
<v Speaker 3>we see what we really think we saw? And we
<v Speaker 3>talked and we just talked about it and it was
<v Speaker 3>it was just crazy.
<v Speaker 2>It was crazy.
<v Speaker 4>I saw this in the documentary. You snapped a few
<v Speaker 4>photos actually, and they're at a huge distance. I mean
<v Speaker 4>it's you know, just being completely transparent on this. They're
<v Speaker 4>a blob, but you can see the shape of the
<v Speaker 4>figure and you can see how it changed. I mean
<v Speaker 4>I saw what you're describing. Yeah, definitely on four legs,
<v Speaker 4>definitely has sort of an elongated neck. Doesn't look the
<v Speaker 4>body shape is not like anything I'm aware of that exists.
<v Speaker 1>It's not shaped like a horse like that was the
<v Speaker 1>first thing I noticed was it had a posture more
<v Speaker 1>relative to a hyena.
<v Speaker 2>Right, You've looked at a hyaena. They kind of have
<v Speaker 2>like a slope.
<v Speaker 1>And they're long. Their long neck would be most of
<v Speaker 1>their height. And that's what this thing looked like from
<v Speaker 1>the back. But it never picked its head up. It
<v Speaker 1>looked like something like chilling grass, like a cow or
<v Speaker 1>a horse in a field, like eating or something. And
<v Speaker 1>it just it kept its back to us and it
<v Speaker 1>would move every now and then.
<v Speaker 4>Man, it was crazy, and it looked like it wasn't huge,
<v Speaker 4>but like it looked like it had some mass to it.
<v Speaker 4>It looked like it had some weight, not something that
<v Speaker 4>you're used to seeing in a marsh area.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean in that day that we shot it.
<v Speaker 3>When you if you're talking about the three pictures of
<v Speaker 3>it morphine in we shot that on a different day.
<v Speaker 3>That was actually shot on what was that October?
<v Speaker 2>We got that picture a year ago. We took that
<v Speaker 2>long year ago. I mean it was a year later.
<v Speaker 1>I'm yeah, that was October twenty sixth of twenty eighteen.
<v Speaker 2>Is when we got that picture.
<v Speaker 3>Oh wow, yeah that was Yeah, that wasn't the same
<v Speaker 3>day we saw it. That that picture that you you're
<v Speaker 3>talking about, Yeah, taking a year later. This thing, this
<v Speaker 3>thing been appearing to us more than once.
<v Speaker 1>And there's sometimes where we went down there to go
<v Speaker 1>and see if we can see it, and it wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>show itself at all. We just would drive down and
<v Speaker 1>stare at trees and grass like is it our minds
<v Speaker 1>or are we really seeing what we're seeing?
<v Speaker 3>And the day that we captured that picture, that the
<v Speaker 3>one you're talking about, when I saw him, I said,
<v Speaker 3>I'm getting him today because the first time I try
<v Speaker 3>to take pictures of him on June third, twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 3>I couldn't like when I I took the picture, but
<v Speaker 3>when I was zooming, it kind of like blurted out.
<v Speaker 3>It wasn't no image to it. So that let me
<v Speaker 3>know that this thing is possibly paranormal. But that day,
<v Speaker 3>the picture you're talking about, I made sure I got him.
<v Speaker 3>That's why you see there was three different photos. I said,
<v Speaker 3>I'm definitely going to get him. I have to.
<v Speaker 2>I remember the day you did it.
<v Speaker 1>You just started pressing snap, snap, snap on the phone,
<v Speaker 1>you just pressed click, click, click, and it came out
<v Speaker 1>and like this morphing image, and you can see it's
<v Speaker 1>like it came into shape.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, it came in. It was like phasing in.
<v Speaker 3>That's the that's how you know why me and my
<v Speaker 3>son believe this is paranormal and something physical, even though
<v Speaker 3>many people had described it, but that wasn't our.
<v Speaker 2>Experience, even though it appeared like it was.
<v Speaker 3>But you could see in the photos you can see
<v Speaker 3>that it's some sort of it's some sort of ghosts
<v Speaker 3>or shape shifter or but definitely need something paranormal.
<v Speaker 4>So you guys experienced a couple of strange things at
<v Speaker 4>your house, at your own independent homes after this happened.
<v Speaker 4>How long after the initial sighting did that take place?
<v Speaker 4>And could you talk about that all right?
<v Speaker 1>Well, the first thing I had happened to me after
<v Speaker 1>the initial sighting, it would have been the winter of
<v Speaker 1>twenty eighteen. One day I came outside and I saw
<v Speaker 1>a what looked like a hoof print, a singular hoof
<v Speaker 1>print in my yard by a holly tree that I have,
<v Speaker 1>And this print was easily the size of my hand.
<v Speaker 1>And I remember calling my dad saying, Dad, you got
<v Speaker 1>to come over and see this print. This print is huge,
<v Speaker 1>and it was the only one in the yard. And
<v Speaker 1>this might have been six seven months after what we saw.
<v Speaker 1>And I have that picture. I can give that to you.
<v Speaker 1>I had scratch marks on my stairs. I have a
<v Speaker 1>set of stairs that go up and my stairs are laminated.
<v Speaker 1>So whatever scratched my steps did it in claws or
<v Speaker 1>like of three. And I looked up what three scratch
<v Speaker 1>marks are and it came back to like a demonic entity.
<v Speaker 1>And so it's possible that something could have followed me home.
<v Speaker 1>And then my dad can tell you what he found
<v Speaker 1>outside of his window one morning when he was cooking breakfast.
<v Speaker 2>All right, this was in I forgot was able, though
<v Speaker 2>I know it was in May.
<v Speaker 3>I think it was maybe either nineteen or eighteen, well
<v Speaker 3>probably nineteen.
<v Speaker 2>I think it was nineteen. I think it was nineteen.
<v Speaker 3>So I made breakfast one morning, and the way that
<v Speaker 3>my apartment is, I can look out my side kitchen
<v Speaker 3>window and I could see the grass and where my.
<v Speaker 2>Air conditioning is at. So I cooked breakfast.
<v Speaker 3>I got them cooking breakfast at around ten ten point thirty,
<v Speaker 3>had a lake breakfast. So I said, let me let
<v Speaker 3>the smoke out, so, you know, because I was cooking bacon,
<v Speaker 3>so I let the smoke out.
<v Speaker 2>Notice I did not see any marks at all at.
<v Speaker 3>When I first opened up the window, so to smoke
<v Speaker 3>it out, you know, we go, we eat breakfast, so
<v Speaker 3>we clean up.
<v Speaker 2>So my wife's in the kitchen.
<v Speaker 3>So I'm out in the dining room now and I
<v Speaker 3>look out my dining room window and I see these
<v Speaker 3>two like like like pressing my I'm like what I'm
<v Speaker 3>And I know I'm not crazy. I'm like, those prints
<v Speaker 3>weren't there when I first opened up the window.
<v Speaker 2>And you can see they're like how many feet apart?
<v Speaker 2>You say? They was steph fout. We measured it.
<v Speaker 5>The stance was about three and a half feet apart
<v Speaker 5>one three and a.
<v Speaker 3>Half part peter three and a half feet apart wide,
<v Speaker 3>and there was two hoof marks and you can see
<v Speaker 3>whatever landed. It was heavy because it broke the mud
<v Speaker 3>and you've seen the actual moisture and water on the
<v Speaker 3>top of the mud. It was heavy and it was
<v Speaker 3>two And I have the pictures to prove all of
<v Speaker 3>the things he has. The scratches, I got those pictures,
<v Speaker 3>I got the hoof prints. Everything that me and my
<v Speaker 3>son has happened to us after we got exposed to this,
<v Speaker 3>this Jersey double. We have the pictures to prove that,
<v Speaker 3>and we believe it followed us home.
<v Speaker 4>So you guys decided to go looking for it.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, crazy, it sounds as crazy as it sounds, Matt.
<v Speaker 6>We we had to know what we saw because I mean,
<v Speaker 6>for anybody that's ever seen a crypted, a sasquatch, a
<v Speaker 6>skin walker or anything.
<v Speaker 2>It's life changing.
<v Speaker 1>And it led me and my dad on this six
<v Speaker 1>year journey to a place that's got to be twenty
<v Speaker 1>five miles to thirty miles from where we live.
<v Speaker 2>And it's because of our sighting.
<v Speaker 1>I believe that's why we've gotten the wealth of information
<v Speaker 1>the evidence to back up any story that we tell.
<v Speaker 1>It's like it just came to us all at once
<v Speaker 1>from going to Leeds Point and that place. I know
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people you know who live in the
<v Speaker 1>area might hear about this, but we really think that place, Matt,
<v Speaker 1>is haunted. We seriously think that place is really haunts Evy.
<v Speaker 1>And the strangest thing is is with this encounter, we've
<v Speaker 1>only seen the Jersey Devil consistently in that same spot
<v Speaker 1>that we took the picture and we speculated from time
<v Speaker 1>to time.
<v Speaker 2>Do you think maybe there could be a portal?
<v Speaker 1>There is there some type of energy field out there
<v Speaker 1>that we're just not seeing.
<v Speaker 2>It's just crazy, like what happened to us.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, you guys know way more about this than
<v Speaker 4>I do. I'm only learning information recently from watching this
<v Speaker 4>documentary that you guys were featured in about all the
<v Speaker 4>stuff taking place in this area, and that has taken
<v Speaker 4>place in this area forever. It seems like as long
<v Speaker 4>as people have been there. And while the Jersey Devil
<v Speaker 4>is definitely the focal point, there seems to be a
<v Speaker 4>lot more to this than just ENCRYPTID. I mean, the
<v Speaker 4>type of activity that you guys are talking about, I
<v Speaker 4>would agree. I would agree that that is definitely some
<v Speaker 4>what most people would refer to as demonic activity, Definitely
<v Speaker 4>paranormal in nature. You know, the three scratches and the
<v Speaker 4>hoof marks, and it owing you home like that and
<v Speaker 4>then kind of showing itself to you whenever it wants to.
<v Speaker 4>It seems like, what kind of things have you guys
<v Speaker 4>been experiencing whenever you've gone out there.
<v Speaker 3>Well, we went down there and I think it was
<v Speaker 3>December eighteenth, in the evening. It was my son's idea, Okay,
<v Speaker 3>let's go down Let's go down like in the blue
<v Speaker 3>he called it the blue hour, just before dark.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it's like a twilight.
<v Speaker 3>So we went down there. Now it's in what was
<v Speaker 3>that December November?
<v Speaker 5>That was December of twenty eighteen.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, so it's kind of cool. So we said, hey,
<v Speaker 3>let's bring some jackets. You're gonna be out in that marsh.
<v Speaker 3>It might be a little windy, whatever, Let's just go
<v Speaker 3>down there and we're not gonna stay till it get dark,
<v Speaker 3>but we just want to go down there just before dark.
<v Speaker 2>So we get down there. Now, my son is fine
<v Speaker 2>the whole time.
<v Speaker 3>No, soon as we get down and we get out
<v Speaker 3>the car, we start looking.
<v Speaker 2>His eyes start watering.
<v Speaker 3>He's like, yeah, man, my eyes are itching like it
<v Speaker 3>just watering because he says at one point he said, Dad,
<v Speaker 3>I see it. There it is, and here's where the
<v Speaker 3>crazy stuff where we felt like we was under the
<v Speaker 3>moonic attack. His eyes is watering. My son, Stefan is
<v Speaker 3>standing how many feet do you say you were standing
<v Speaker 3>from me from the car?
<v Speaker 2>Ten feet? Ten fifteen feet? I could not I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I could hear him, but you know, you ever.
<v Speaker 3>Go on the water and you get water in your ear,
<v Speaker 3>and it's kind of like that that cloud.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, yeah, for sure, I couldn't hear him.
<v Speaker 3>His eyes is water and he says, Dad, I'm trying
<v Speaker 3>to see what my eyes keep water. And I'm standing
<v Speaker 3>ten fifteen feet in from him, and I'm like, stephan,
<v Speaker 3>I can't hear you. It felt like water in my ears.
<v Speaker 3>So he looks up the road and he and then
<v Speaker 3>he yells again, Dad, there it is and stuff. You
<v Speaker 3>can tell him what you saw, and then I'll tell
<v Speaker 3>him what I saw. You tell him what you saw
<v Speaker 3>up the street. When you said there, it was okay.
<v Speaker 1>So when I said there it is what I was
<v Speaker 1>seeing what would be on the right hand side of
<v Speaker 1>Oyster Creek Road, there is a spot of little woods
<v Speaker 1>that run along the side. And it looked like a
<v Speaker 1>big an elk or a moose or something like that
<v Speaker 1>walking down the street along the edge of the road
<v Speaker 1>straight to us. And what was weird and creepy about
<v Speaker 1>it was there was only one way out, and that
<v Speaker 1>was to go the direction.
<v Speaker 2>It was coming.
<v Speaker 1>And what I was trying to point out to my
<v Speaker 1>dad cutting through the woods, coming around the road straight
<v Speaker 1>up to us.
<v Speaker 2>He didn't see that.
<v Speaker 1>What he saw was completely opposite, which makes us think
<v Speaker 1>there could be more than one devil or entity out
<v Speaker 1>there dead.
<v Speaker 2>You can tell him what you saw, now, Yeah, what
<v Speaker 2>he saw what I saw was clearly two different things.
<v Speaker 2>He said, he sees something that looks.
<v Speaker 3>Like an elk or deer along the woodline coming towards it.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't see that. I'm I'm I'm looking, like, step,
<v Speaker 2>what do you what do you see? I don't see it.
<v Speaker 2>I don't see it.
<v Speaker 3>But what I see is I see the trees kind
<v Speaker 3>of like the branches going up and down like a
<v Speaker 3>little wind blowing.
<v Speaker 2>Kid, you not.
<v Speaker 3>There was a solid black image from about mid chest
<v Speaker 3>to mid head, and it looked like, I mean, pitch black.
<v Speaker 3>It was a solid black image, and it looked like
<v Speaker 3>it had like like like like calf ears or you
<v Speaker 3>know how like a cow ear sticks out to the side.
<v Speaker 3>It worked like that, and I'm looking and I'm like
<v Speaker 3>what is that? And we're both looking. When the branch
<v Speaker 3>went up, it took its head and moved it around.
<v Speaker 3>And when it did that, I was like, let's go,
<v Speaker 3>so we we get in the car and I hit
<v Speaker 3>my lights and for like a milli second what I
<v Speaker 3>saw look like like when you hit like cat eyes
<v Speaker 3>hit like hit like head lights like flash, instant gone gone.
<v Speaker 3>I'm thinking, well, maybe when I turned the lights on
<v Speaker 3>there was some reflectors on the pole. There was more
<v Speaker 3>pole there by the tree. I saw the eyes, reflective
<v Speaker 3>eyes just for a microsecond in that tree where I
<v Speaker 3>saw the solid black image.
<v Speaker 2>That was just that was the scariest thing.
<v Speaker 3>And while we while all this was happening, it was
<v Speaker 3>it was kind of cool that evening. Because it was wintertime,
<v Speaker 3>it got extremely hot. It had to be at least
<v Speaker 3>seventy degrees.
<v Speaker 5>We had on leather jackets before we left the house
<v Speaker 5>because there was.
<v Speaker 2>It was freezing. It was freezing. It was yeah, it
<v Speaker 2>was cold. It was cold. It was it was.
<v Speaker 3>It was just crazy, and we are convinced that Lee's
<v Speaker 3>Point is definitely haunted. One of the locals and I
<v Speaker 3>won't say her name to protect your identity, told us
<v Speaker 3>that people come there to practice Satanism.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if you saw that in the documentary.
<v Speaker 4>I was gonna say, I saw that scene where you
<v Speaker 4>guys are at the the siding location, and just some
<v Speaker 4>random people stop and a guy shares a story about
<v Speaker 4>finding like a deer and a pentagram or something. Yes, yes,
<v Speaker 4>because that's what.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, you following right on, because I was going to say,
<v Speaker 3>on Lee's Point road, I have the picture of a
<v Speaker 3>headless gear.
<v Speaker 2>Now, I've been in lots.
<v Speaker 3>Of sports sporting good places and places where they you know,
<v Speaker 3>those places where they have the deer heads hung.
<v Speaker 4>You know, yeah, put on.
<v Speaker 3>Most of when they do that, the deer is cut
<v Speaker 3>like right at the base of the neck with a
<v Speaker 3>body begainst the chests and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>Just let's wipe out there. This wasn't like that.
<v Speaker 3>This was cut off directly as at the head the
<v Speaker 3>net was still attached.
<v Speaker 2>I have the picture.
<v Speaker 3>And when I told this local that and showed her
<v Speaker 3>the picture, her face changed.
<v Speaker 2>She's like, I hate to tell you, she said, but
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. If you notice people come here to
<v Speaker 2>practice Satanism. Now, is that to appease the spirits? We
<v Speaker 2>don't know. But yes, that guy.
<v Speaker 3>Who came up in that truck, we did not know
<v Speaker 3>that guy from nowhere.
<v Speaker 2>I never seen that.
<v Speaker 3>Guy until that video, till we shot that video. And
<v Speaker 3>when he said, when he said, that's why I reacted
<v Speaker 3>the way I did, and I sold. I told Colin,
<v Speaker 3>I said, Colin, I'm not lying, you know, and he
<v Speaker 3>just confirmed it. You know about the deer in the
<v Speaker 3>print in the pentagram, And we still believe that people
<v Speaker 3>go there to appease the spirits or this demontic energy whatever.
<v Speaker 3>It's it's crazy, man.
<v Speaker 4>That place where you saw it. You were talking about
<v Speaker 4>the woods there in it being connected to that same
<v Speaker 4>is it Scott's Landing?
<v Speaker 1>Yes?
<v Speaker 4>Yes, and that whole area. I mean, we have a
<v Speaker 4>place here called Brown Springs, and I've talked about it
<v Speaker 4>a few times on the show, and it's a place
<v Speaker 4>that people go to. They research Bigfoot there, they researched
<v Speaker 4>the paranormal there. There's even stories of like dog men there.
<v Speaker 4>But it's also a place where like organized crime would
<v Speaker 4>dump bodies, people would just bad stuff happen there all
<v Speaker 4>the time. And this area sounds like kind of a
<v Speaker 4>similar situation, especially with Atlantic City just right there basically
<v Speaker 4>across the marsh from it. Is there stories of like
<v Speaker 4>hauntings and stuff, other paranormal activity besides the Jersey Devil
<v Speaker 4>in that area, well.
<v Speaker 1>Not too much that I know about down there, but
<v Speaker 1>here in my town out in Acho, we have the
<v Speaker 1>Acho Ghost and that's kind of connected to the Pime Barrens,
<v Speaker 1>and that was a story about a boy that was
<v Speaker 1>hit by a car on a burnt mill road out here,
<v Speaker 1>and you go there at night, to the end of
<v Speaker 1>the road. It's a dead end that leads to the woods,
<v Speaker 1>and you turn around, you get to a street light
<v Speaker 1>and you flick your headlights and a little boy comes
<v Speaker 1>out in the middle of the road. That's a story
<v Speaker 1>that's been long standing in the Pine Barons out here.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, actually I did, and.
<v Speaker 1>I regret doing it, so it's not shocking that all
<v Speaker 1>this paranormal stuff's been happening. When I did do it,
<v Speaker 1>the only thing I've ever seen out there. It did
<v Speaker 1>look like a small child, but it never got close
<v Speaker 1>to the car, so I wasn't really scared, but I
<v Speaker 1>did see something. And any other like legends or anything
<v Speaker 1>else that we have out here that would be related
<v Speaker 1>to the Pine Barons, I don't really know that many,
<v Speaker 1>but definitely that one.
<v Speaker 2>It's local.
<v Speaker 1>And of course the Jersey Devil, I mean it's you know,
<v Speaker 1>we got a hockey team named after her.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah there, you know, Yeah, I mean it's probably one
<v Speaker 4>of the most well known local pieces of folklore in
<v Speaker 4>the United States. I mean, everybody's heard of the Jersey Devil.
<v Speaker 3>I can promise you this, If any of your listeners
<v Speaker 3>ever want to go there, just just go there at
<v Speaker 3>least point in New Jersey forty two Oyster Creek Road.
<v Speaker 3>You will in New Jersey, you will feel it. You
<v Speaker 3>will feel that energy. There's just there's an eeriness about it.
<v Speaker 3>You could just feel it. That's all I can tell you.
<v Speaker 3>And like I said, we believe their spirits there. There
<v Speaker 3>are there's a lot of activity going on there, definitely.
<v Speaker 4>So do you think that this creature for lack of
<v Speaker 4>better word, this entity that you're talking about that's known
<v Speaker 4>as the Jersey Devil and then you have the story
<v Speaker 4>of the Thirteenth Child? Are the Are they the same thing?
<v Speaker 4>Are they connected? Are they two separate things that just
<v Speaker 4>have been kind of tied together because it happened here
<v Speaker 4>and this is also here. What are your theories on that?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, this is our long standing I would say at
<v Speaker 1>least four to five year theory of what we have.
<v Speaker 1>You know that back then, if a child was born
<v Speaker 1>with any type of deformity, people thought that maybe the
<v Speaker 1>family was cursed or they had you know, bad blood
<v Speaker 1>in their lineage. And if you think about the story,
<v Speaker 1>seventeen thirty five, that's not too far after the Salely
<v Speaker 1>Witch trials, So people were still very superstitious and you know,
<v Speaker 1>very you know, on edge about things. So if they
<v Speaker 1>had any type of dead you know, luck held against
<v Speaker 1>them from other people for whatever they believed them to be,
<v Speaker 1>if they had a curse you know, placed upon them,
<v Speaker 1>it was really done by the people of the community.
<v Speaker 1>Because we really think that this was a child born
<v Speaker 1>with a deformity in a time of ignorance.
<v Speaker 2>And it's possible that.
<v Speaker 1>The child may have been mistreated or died unnaturally for
<v Speaker 1>lack of better words, and something came through attached to
<v Speaker 1>that child's soul, and that's what we believe. We have
<v Speaker 1>a picture of what we believe to be the face
<v Speaker 1>of the actual thirteenth child, and we will also send
<v Speaker 1>you that.
<v Speaker 2>It looks like a ghostly image of a.
<v Speaker 1>Kid maybe between five to maybe ten years old, and
<v Speaker 1>it appears in the image next to the creature, and
<v Speaker 1>we're going to send you that and that's kind of
<v Speaker 1>where we got this. Yeah, that's kind of where we
<v Speaker 1>got that idea like, well, maybe something happened to him
<v Speaker 1>and through that it brought something dark.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean that makes total sense, especially you know
<v Speaker 4>if you have this woman, and I assumed since the
<v Speaker 4>area is named after the family and everything, they were
<v Speaker 4>probably a major family in that community back in those days,
<v Speaker 4>and everybody would have known. You know, mother Leeds, she's
<v Speaker 4>already got twelve kids, she's pregnant again, and then this
<v Speaker 4>this child is born. The where's the child? Where'd the
<v Speaker 4>kid go? Well, it turned out to be this thing.
<v Speaker 4>It transformed into this devil and flew out the chimney,
<v Speaker 4>covering up their story of killing the child. Possibly that's
<v Speaker 4>exactly what and that, you know, a mother killing her
<v Speaker 4>own child. That's some bad juju.
<v Speaker 2>Man, it's bad luck. And that's why I said, like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it's possible.
<v Speaker 1>We don't know one hundred percent, but we really believe
<v Speaker 1>that there is a connection between the creature and the
<v Speaker 1>actual child. We believe that the Jersey Devil is like
<v Speaker 1>a mimic or something. It's a mockery spirit of some
<v Speaker 1>sort that says, yeah, I'm a monster, I'm a monster,
<v Speaker 1>when really, really this whole story was about a child
<v Speaker 1>born in a time of ignorance because people didn't know
<v Speaker 1>what a deformity was at.
<v Speaker 2>The time, you know, with modern medicine.
<v Speaker 4>But something has held this thing to the area for
<v Speaker 4>hundreds of years. Now do you think that's where the
<v Speaker 4>possible you know, devil worship stuff falls into play. What
<v Speaker 4>do you think is holding it to this area.
<v Speaker 1>We really do believe that between the energy of the
<v Speaker 1>past and the supposed devil worship out there and the
<v Speaker 1>Satanism and there's all this dark guards stuff happening out
<v Speaker 1>there in the area, it's just keeping it alive.
<v Speaker 3>Man.
<v Speaker 2>It's like it's just fueling the fire.
<v Speaker 1>And you know, seeing what we saw and then having
<v Speaker 1>these pictures, it was like the pictures that we took
<v Speaker 1>over the years started telling a story for us. And
<v Speaker 1>when we noticed that we saw the face of this child,
<v Speaker 1>that's when we started thinking, well, maybe they did something
<v Speaker 1>to this kid.
<v Speaker 2>And what about the face.
<v Speaker 3>And there's a face we also have of a woman
<v Speaker 3>that looks like could be the mother that she's crying.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not making none of this stuff up. This is
<v Speaker 3>not nothing that I made on a computer. I actually
<v Speaker 3>find the crying face of a woman off of Google photos,
<v Speaker 3>like Google earth Fold street view.
<v Speaker 2>The street view.
<v Speaker 3>I've actually actually seen the face and I'm just like,
<v Speaker 3>oh my god, this place is horned. Something horrible happened
<v Speaker 3>between the mother and this child, and it's all in
<v Speaker 3>that general area, and the energy has never left because
<v Speaker 3>these these we believe, these spirits are not at peace
<v Speaker 3>and they want the truth to be told. And it
<v Speaker 3>sounds crazy, but it seems like it fell into the
<v Speaker 3>hands of me and my son, and I'm like, why.
<v Speaker 2>Us not all people. I'm just you know, I'm the
<v Speaker 2>regular guy. I didn't want all of this, you know,
<v Speaker 2>but it's it's it's just it happened.
<v Speaker 4>So where does this journey lead you? Guys? What are
<v Speaker 4>your goals in all this? Are you still going out
<v Speaker 4>looking for it and trying to collect evidence or what
<v Speaker 4>are you trying to do? Now?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, we still we We still we collected evidence. But
<v Speaker 3>I think there's a truth that we have to get out.
<v Speaker 3>We have to get this truth out, and I think
<v Speaker 3>we have to dispel trying well, let me just say
<v Speaker 3>it right, We'll try and dispel the the you know,
<v Speaker 3>the monster thing and make this more about the child,
<v Speaker 3>because everyone loses focus about that. They just think the monster,
<v Speaker 3>the monster, the bat wings, you know, the dog head
<v Speaker 3>to this, the body, but no one ever stops to
<v Speaker 3>think about this being a child.
<v Speaker 2>I think we lose focus on that, and I think this.
<v Speaker 3>Could be one of the reasons why these images came
<v Speaker 3>through these photos, like as my son Stefan stated, is
<v Speaker 3>trying to tell the true story, what this is really about,
<v Speaker 3>and that this dark spirit is just the entity of
<v Speaker 3>some sort trying to make a mockery of it, and
<v Speaker 3>and and and put you know, keep the monster part
<v Speaker 3>of it alive. It's it's I know, it sounds crazy,
<v Speaker 3>but that's what we get out of it, and that's
<v Speaker 3>why we're still on this, this, this search this, you know,
<v Speaker 3>to try to collect as much information as we can
<v Speaker 3>and share with it with everyone.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, I don't think it sounds that crazy at all.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, but I've experienced some things in my life,
<v Speaker 4>so maybe I'm a little biased. But everything you're saying
<v Speaker 4>makes sense. And the fact that you guys are here
<v Speaker 4>in other places telling the story and talking about the
<v Speaker 4>child might be part of the reason that this thing
<v Speaker 4>did reveal itself to you and continues to on occasion
<v Speaker 4>and doesn't just disappear from your lives altogether. Has there
<v Speaker 4>been stories of people being attacked or anything aggressive shown
<v Speaker 4>towards people by this thing.
<v Speaker 1>Well, there was a woman on the History Channel that
<v Speaker 1>claimed to have an encounter with her son, and I
<v Speaker 1>remember seeing that years ago, and it was possible that
<v Speaker 1>she had an encounter with a large torn great al,
<v Speaker 1>which is against needed to New Jersey. I've never seen one,
<v Speaker 1>but I could definitely see how something like that, especially
<v Speaker 1>at night, would make you think of, you know, seeing
<v Speaker 1>the devil, but I've never heard of anyone actually being
<v Speaker 1>killed by it. There was a woman, I believed somewhere
<v Speaker 1>out here in South Jersey that said her dog was
<v Speaker 1>fighting the devil.
<v Speaker 2>It was trying to sweep down and grab our dog.
<v Speaker 1>I believe you're a German shepherd, and it was trying
<v Speaker 1>to come down and attack the dog, and it was
<v Speaker 1>fighting on a chain.
<v Speaker 2>That's the only physical attack I've ever heard.
<v Speaker 1>And I've tried to look into the story to get
<v Speaker 1>some more research on it, but I couldn't find much
<v Speaker 1>other than just a small article.
<v Speaker 4>So that's definitely an area where it sounds like it
<v Speaker 4>might be more folklore than actual truth and factual of
<v Speaker 4>what's actually taking place.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, because in our account, you know, and there's a
<v Speaker 1>lot of stories and I'm not saying that everyone's lying.
<v Speaker 1>But one thing I think that makes me and my
<v Speaker 1>dad so unique about this whole thing is that we
<v Speaker 1>do have evidence of everything that we talk about from
<v Speaker 1>the story start to finish, with pictures, dates and times.
<v Speaker 1>And we've been telling the story for it six years
<v Speaker 1>to lots of different people, and you know, we really
<v Speaker 1>appreciate anybody that's willing to, you know, listen to the
<v Speaker 1>story and take the time to look at the pictures
<v Speaker 1>make their own assessments. We really do encourage anybody to
<v Speaker 1>reach out to us about this because for some strange reason,
<v Speaker 1>this is attached to us. I mean, I've had stuff
<v Speaker 1>followed me home. My dad has had stuff follow him home.
<v Speaker 1>We've had all sorts of run ins with this creature
<v Speaker 1>and the spirits of that area. I mean, I've had
<v Speaker 1>several dreams about being in Leeds Point. It never looks
<v Speaker 1>like how it does in real life, but I just
<v Speaker 1>know I'm always there, and I don't know what that's about,
<v Speaker 1>So there could be a connection. And we did find
<v Speaker 1>a footprint one time in the power lines out here
<v Speaker 1>in Echo that was weird and it was that was strange,
<v Speaker 1>a bare human footprint right into power lines.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna tell you a quick story.
<v Speaker 3>We uh, where we liveing at West Echo, there's a
<v Speaker 3>park where people have, you know, barbecues and just basketball
<v Speaker 3>courts and tennis courts and then but it's at at
<v Speaker 3>the end of the park.
<v Speaker 2>It's number of woods. So we had a barbecue out
<v Speaker 2>there one one evening.
<v Speaker 3>And it's like, I guess it's around this time, like
<v Speaker 3>eight thirty is nine o'clock.
<v Speaker 2>The kids out there playing.
<v Speaker 3>The kids come running screaming back to us and they screaming, we.
<v Speaker 2>Saw something in the woods. We saw something that was
<v Speaker 2>we wait by what y'all talking about. They said it
<v Speaker 2>was like eight feet.
<v Speaker 3>Tall and it was all black and it was it
<v Speaker 3>just it just stood there and the kids were crying.
<v Speaker 2>Sort they were crying. They could have saw sasquatch.
<v Speaker 4>And it was just standing there watching them.
<v Speaker 3>They said it was they was standing in the woods,
<v Speaker 3>just standing there and it scared them.
<v Speaker 5>It was just watch they just watching them.
<v Speaker 4>It's kind of a thing. Uh, these things seem to
<v Speaker 4>be drawn to children, not necessarily in like some creepy
<v Speaker 4>predator a way, but like children laughing and playing and
<v Speaker 4>running around and stuff like that will get a big
<v Speaker 4>foots attention and they'll come and to check it out
<v Speaker 4>and just watch kids and try to get close to
<v Speaker 4>them and just look at them and like what you're
<v Speaker 4>de sorrded? Kind of sounds like that situation exactly.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I think children don't pull the threat. Yeah, that's what
<v Speaker 2>it is.
<v Speaker 3>I may comfortable approach them to get closer to them.
<v Speaker 2>You know, adults, that's different. Adults.
<v Speaker 1>I've heard of them saving kids. I've heard of them,
<v Speaker 1>like you know, helping kids out of the woods and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>But then, like you know, with people, you get the
<v Speaker 1>rock clack and you get tree knocking.
<v Speaker 2>That's like, ooh, that's no good. We gotta get out,
<v Speaker 2>like goop, we gotta go.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, well, fellas, I appreciate that man. And how can
