Episode 57 - Ad Mech pt 2 - Growth of the Adeptus Mechanicus and their function within the Imperium
On Today’s cast we finish up our coverage of the Adeptus Mechanicus. We start with what the machine spirit is (our bad on missing that on the last cast). We then dive into the growth of the value and thus the power of the Adeptus Mechanics within the Imperium, followed by a dive into the nightmare that is a forge world. After that we jump into the nightmare beings that are the Skitarii and Kataphrons. We then go into the tech priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus with all their variations. We then close on our favorite part of the Adeptus Mechanics, their incredible relationship with the inquisition.

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty-K-Lore cast. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty-K-Lore cast with me, John Barzati and Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_01]: This guy. [SPEAKER_00]: I edit that out. [SPEAKER_00]: On today's cast, we're going to dive further into the ad mech. [SPEAKER_00]: Today we're going to focus more on them like post-Harracy, where they are now, how they got there, and some of their really fun little nightmares that they're committing on a daily basis. [SPEAKER_00]: Living nightmares, just horrifying group of people. [SPEAKER_00]: Before we begin, Massive, thank you to all of you for the likes and the comments. [SPEAKER_00]: Please give it up. [SPEAKER_00]: We had a nice little bump there where we're working the top one hundred podcasts of all podcasts. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got thirty-one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, this is nuts. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is, somebody's got English is their first language. [SPEAKER_00]: So we have nothing but a thank you to all of you for doing this. [SPEAKER_00]: It really does help us out. [SPEAKER_00]: And we get to laugh as we get ranked above people that we have no business being ranked above. [SPEAKER_00]: And all, and I just dream that they, they, they, I mean, we're dreaming that they ask us to be on their podcast. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, no, I think that's because you actually have goals for yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: My dream and life is more I just want them firing some like some like product manager who's just like, how is the warhammer? [SPEAKER_00]: Forty cast. [SPEAKER_00]: Who are they? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Because these are we're ahead of cast right now that have producers. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're like, what kind of studio are they operating? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like, it doesn't involve wine and bread sitting in my desk chair. [SPEAKER_00]: You put it down now. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I did, yeah, yeah, that's the ground again. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's funny. [SPEAKER_00]: With that note, though, thank you all. [SPEAKER_00]: If you do like the cast and you're enjoying it, please also join our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Civ shout out to Kevin. [SPEAKER_00]: We recently had a, this name's Kevin. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to give his last name out of courtesy to him. [SPEAKER_01]: Savage doc. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Savage doc came through and helped us redo our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: So we've had this discord forever. [SPEAKER_00]: It was free before. [SPEAKER_00]: It's still free now. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure. [SPEAKER_00]: It actually is organized now. [SPEAKER_00]: We're over two thousand members of twenty one hundred members at time of recording. [SPEAKER_00]: It is much better organized now. [SPEAKER_00]: It's way cleaner. [SPEAKER_00]: So for those of you who maybe don't know what we're talking about, we have a discord for this cast that we made. [SPEAKER_00]: Discord is a really great website that allows for people to interact and talk with each other. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're interested in more hammer gaming, more hammer lore, more hammer literature, painting, hobby. [SPEAKER_00]: We have all of that in there. [SPEAKER_01]: Can you start in and for it again? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, getting started for you completely free. [SPEAKER_00]: Come join and thanks to Kevin, it's actually clean and organized before. [SPEAKER_00]: I personally like discord. [SPEAKER_00]: I use Reddit for a lot of things, but discord's a much better conversation location. [SPEAKER_00]: It's one more. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good one. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a great place for anyone looking for just a place to interact on Warhammer lore. [SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to build this thing out as a really great place for all of you. [SPEAKER_01]: This is one of the community. [SPEAKER_01]: You want to be a positive community. [SPEAKER_01]: We want people to come in and have a good time. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's also meant to be a community, not Brad and me in there. [SPEAKER_00]: You'll see we are in there. [SPEAKER_00]: We are interacting, but you're going to get more interaction from the other members because that's the goal of this community. [SPEAKER_00]: So basically, for all of you who are already there, thank you for all of you who are about to join. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome. [SPEAKER_00]: And all of you who don't want to join, cool also, like, do you? [SPEAKER_01]: And I look forward to being tagged, and so many poison things. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, making a t-shirt. [SPEAKER_00]: So next piece is Patreon's link our show notes. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyone who's been listening to us for a while, so if you were new listeners, you don't realize this. [SPEAKER_00]: But our audio was hot garbage for a while there. [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to a Patreon and people contributing. [SPEAKER_00]: We've now bought new microphones. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got some new editing software. [SPEAKER_00]: We actually hired an audio engineer to clean up our cast. [SPEAKER_00]: This is thanks to all of you. [SPEAKER_00]: So we have a Patreon. [SPEAKER_00]: If you like what we're doing, and you want to help us out, it really does help all the money goes right back into the cast. [SPEAKER_00]: It allows us to expand out a lot of things we're looking to do. [SPEAKER_00]: Stuff like opening a merchandise website, which we're looking, opening a new website, opening YouTube, all these things. [SPEAKER_00]: It helps us kind of cover those costs. [SPEAKER_00]: So thank you. [SPEAKER_00]: But lastly, we would spend a bunch of time here talking about how Brad is a coach of forty gay, but I don't have to do anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: Because we have a website now. [SPEAKER_01]: We got a website and we have discord tickets. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can go to discord. [SPEAKER_00]: So, but we should do it properly. [SPEAKER_00]: So, Brad is a coach of Warhammer, Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're, you know, he's been playing the game for almost thirty years. [SPEAKER_00]: Very successfully, but more importantly, he's been a coach for most of that time. [SPEAKER_00]: He knows how to help how to introduce people to the game and actual, but more importantly, improve your play within the game. [SPEAKER_00]: Brad under it is played with or against effectively every every you have played with or against every other fact name sing and at routine levels to not only one time in two thousand sixteen I played dark angels against our angels like no he like this is right. [SPEAKER_01]: It's actually played every faction at some point [SPEAKER_00]: You probably have you also play this game what twenty hours a week. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's like that's what they do. [SPEAKER_00]: So he knows it really well. [SPEAKER_00]: Brad has a coaching service available. [SPEAKER_00]: We as much as I know the some of the older listeners are getting mad that we're not going to do this anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not we're not going to yell his email address anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: Good God dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Because you can go to the forty-klorcast.com. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a new web page there with coaching. [SPEAKER_00]: You can contact Brad or you can go to the disc. [SPEAKER_01]: And I would I would actually prefer join the discord. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great community. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's also the easiest way that I can't as Brad's close friend. [SPEAKER_00]: I've had some drinks today. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna say this openly. [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever he says he prefers, do the opposite. [SPEAKER_01]: I've never liked you. [SPEAKER_01]: We were walking and I told John a story. [SPEAKER_01]: And I went, this is going to sound bad. [SPEAKER_01]: I go, nah, you're a huge day. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not to you. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It's no big deal. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, back to the AdMec. [SPEAKER_00]: After last cast, I realized we just skipped something. [SPEAKER_00]: And we should have done that one. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're doing it now. [SPEAKER_00]: The machine spirit. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's an Oakwood machine spirit, because we should have covered it last time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's weird because the machine spirit is a catch all in the game. [SPEAKER_00]: It is. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not, it's very different in the lore and literature of it. [SPEAKER_00]: True. [SPEAKER_00]: That's very true. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's start with the machine spirit. [SPEAKER_00]: So the machine spirit, I always tell myself, my perspective. [SPEAKER_00]: When I first heard about the machine spirit, [SPEAKER_01]: It felt like this stupid thing, like, oh, these morons are, you know, because it kind of is on some things though because because because of the fact that it's such a everything that's dealing with the technology in the imperial is [SPEAKER_01]: layered upon layer with this religious psychology, and then you go, my favorite. [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it before, which is the, you go into the land reader, and you do the twenty different rights and read the prayer across the, and press the, press the on button. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: But, yes, but the machine spirit. [SPEAKER_01]: is. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a real thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so the analogy I used here is like the ad Mac and the imperium really don't understand the technology. [SPEAKER_00]: So it must be the machine spirit, content with a brando is what plants crave. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you don't understand that, you'll figure it out pretty quick. [SPEAKER_00]: But then you know, you're voting for this. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what plants crave. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be asleep. [SPEAKER_00]: That being said, though, when you spend more time in the lore, like obviously we have to, I always remind people is dumb as the machine spirit sounds. [SPEAKER_00]: This is also demon's exist. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, warp entity exists in any case. [SPEAKER_01]: The machine spirit is actually spirit of a demon. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, trapped within. [SPEAKER_00]: So the argument is is I would argue that the machine spirit is not this like. [SPEAKER_00]: mythic being, I think it's real. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I, and the way I defend that is quick caveat, I am not an electrical engineer, so feel free to tell me how much this I get wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: But effectively, most software's today, to my understanding, have a base code. [SPEAKER_00]: Java Python. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't plus plus. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it destroying. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's wrecked for this. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, there's not a lot of computer programmers who play for you, okay? [SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like you're about to explain. [SPEAKER_01]: Flat earth on a bunch of other things. [SPEAKER_00]: I am about to get ruined, but I'll take it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll take my beating. [SPEAKER_00]: But my point is that we've got a lot of base codes today. [SPEAKER_00]: Java, Python, C++ is going up, but these ones exist. [SPEAKER_00]: So thirty years, thirty thousand years in the future, you know, what if there's an AI base code? [SPEAKER_00]: That's how you start all your program. [SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of my idea. [SPEAKER_00]: Not like men of iron, AI, but more like Alexa, AI. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna actually back up on this one. [SPEAKER_01]: And here's why, because of the fact that the Imperium in, okay, it's not even the Imperium. [SPEAKER_01]: But before they were in the Imperium, humanity used a common source, the STC's and things of that nature, or everything used the same thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's my idea, my idea is that we have, we know about the STC's now, but the precursor to the STC, why would I code from scratch? [SPEAKER_00]: Why have a base code? [SPEAKER_01]: So all in everybody has to use the same code because we're a galaxy wide. [SPEAKER_01]: Remember, age of technology, they were using instant technology. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Communication, they needed everything to be the same. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's my opinion on the machine spirit is I think that it's actually a kind of almost a base code. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I like from Alexa AI, where it's not a good Alexa's not an AI, but it's just base level that exists within the machinery. [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, it just kind of like, oh yeah, when you go to make a piece of equipment, this is the first piece of code you put in there. [SPEAKER_00]: That ends up becoming the machine spirit. [SPEAKER_00]: So that being said, for those of you who actually know what the hell I'm talking about, because I don't. [SPEAKER_00]: Discord is the best place to tell me. [SPEAKER_00]: Dear God, John, why would you say this? [SPEAKER_01]: When you start bashing John, please tag me. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you tag both of us because Brad need to enjoy this. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, the other justification I'll make on the machine spirit is that, you know, aliens can't interact with it. [SPEAKER_00]: So in these things over and over in the machine spirit, only is not something that the L-DAR have tried to interact with it. [SPEAKER_00]: They can't. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but they also think that we're using rocks and swans. [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_00]: What I'm saying is that that does make it to see more than just, oh, I'm doing a bunch of rights and pressing the on button, because then the older reveals was just pressed the on button and look at us like we're more ons. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually can't make some as technology work. [SPEAKER_00]: That being said, waiting on leagues of vote. [SPEAKER_00]: And they need to, the books coming up. [SPEAKER_01]: Although as usual, get my treat together. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not skipping over him because I want to say a bunch of vote vote tanned because it's left down. [SPEAKER_00]: The vote tanned are the other question mark for those who don't know, we'll cover the vote tanned in the future, but there is an element, vote tanned are. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're going to cover the vote tanned until we get a vote tanned code next up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: You might do it. [SPEAKER_00]: I might do a double take. [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to try to put it up before a towel. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so, John. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, I'm doing town. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I, for all of the record, we're doing cow. [SPEAKER_00]: And one of the things going to happen, I'm going to be proven right. [SPEAKER_00]: or I'm gonna build a tower me. [SPEAKER_00]: TBD. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna make the tower most exciting episode. [SPEAKER_00]: It probably will be, but I just, I have it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's like, I have an entire inquisition army because I just enjoyed our inquisition cast and I went, that is a hundred percent true. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted everybody to know. [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about, yeah, I'm going to go to this court again because if you go, hey, should we give shoutouts? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we will try to do that more often because yes, we've had half of our shows are because people asked us to do that and we just did that. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: because we don't, we have the Horace Heresy and then Question Mark. [SPEAKER_01]: What's the order we should do? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And the best is we did that cast and then John just sent me a message of, I'm painting up my two thousand point fours. [SPEAKER_01]: What? [SPEAKER_01]: That's four thousand. [SPEAKER_00]: That's four thousand. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's four thousand. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think I have two thousand points of our bites. [SPEAKER_00]: Top channel. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the judge dread is going to, I mean, I'm going to lose terrible table top. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to look. [SPEAKER_01]: The games are going to win. [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to make people so sad. [SPEAKER_01]: But oh, it's going to be horrible. [SPEAKER_01]: But in the as usual, Brad never staying on top of if John's to make me the big thing is, like, we really, really appreciate that. [SPEAKER_01]: And I want more of that because that's where we go. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's fun to tell. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we also, I have forty seven ideas. [SPEAKER_01]: We went to lunch today and I said, we should do these forty two things and he went, no, we can't do any of them. [SPEAKER_00]: Are we talking to a eleven-year-old with ADHD? [SPEAKER_00]: We do them all at fifty times speed. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, back to what we're talking about. [SPEAKER_00]: Machine spirit. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's actually now that we can't talk about, like, is it a real thing? [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it is. [SPEAKER_00]: So what does it do? [SPEAKER_00]: The machine spirit, what it does actually varies by the size of the construct. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the machine supports exist from small computers all the way up through tightness. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyone who played Rogue Trader? [SPEAKER_00]: There's like time for the machine spritz just in like a computer. [SPEAKER_00]: The machine spritz effectively just kind of aids function in process. [SPEAKER_00]: So when smaller equipment is a diagnostic tool for lack of a better phrase, then in series they can sing to it and they communicate with it and they basically ask the machine spritz to aid it with repair. [SPEAKER_00]: So it'd be like, for me, I come, I work in dental. [SPEAKER_00]: So the CMC machine, that's like miscutting. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, it's airing. [SPEAKER_00]: Instead of going into it actually adjusting the cam, you just pray to it and the machine spirit would actually go through and fix it for you. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a big deal on this because the machine spirit also deals along with targeting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's the military on the other end of this spectrum is a Titan. [SPEAKER_00]: And again, we've said before, but I was like responding when we talk about a Titan. [SPEAKER_00]: This is not an imperial night. [SPEAKER_00]: This city that walks for eight or nine times that side. [SPEAKER_00]: There are people. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a, I mean, the best example from modern times is an aircraft carrier. [SPEAKER_00]: It's that level of people on it in the size. [SPEAKER_00]: Because it has, but it's [SPEAKER_01]: It also exists independently. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have to cast on that, aren't we? [SPEAKER_00]: It is wildly a culmination of physics that titans are. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because also they're basically walking cities with their own eco and economic systems. [SPEAKER_00]: It walks. [SPEAKER_00]: Why wouldn't it be on treads if you take a leg? [SPEAKER_00]: My engineer friends that are forty k guys get so angry about I don't yeah, they don't they actually I know at least seven friends of mine who play forty k who are engineers and will not play nights on that principle alone. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like put it on tracks and there's no sense Yeah, they're they all see a bean blade and go yes This makes it like this makes sense when they look at them here on night and go no like just a river tighten [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But your band-blade can't kick you. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fair. [SPEAKER_00]: But so on a Titan, the machine spirit actually kind of runs it. [SPEAKER_00]: Like there's a big crew obviously, but the machine spirit actually connects and creates the interconnectivity and the machine spirit allows it to actually move it full speed. [SPEAKER_00]: So it sounds like being almost an auto pilot. [SPEAKER_00]: So with your inside of a Titan and your end, it's actually sometimes will react faster than the crew will react. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll be the machine spirit. [SPEAKER_01]: Because it calculates. [SPEAKER_01]: It does turn into calculation. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I think my favorite example is the land rator. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the land rator is where like maybe the most extreme. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's the most extreme example because the land rator of all the things when we talk about machine spirit on the table top and the land rator is the one that actually used to be able to fire an extra weapon. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it also used to be good in the table top. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, firing an extra las kind. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I just I'm still standing by the land raider to me is one of the most iconic elements of the entire game and it sucks. [SPEAKER_00]: It bothers me that it sucks. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: So every Land Raider has a very powerful machine spirit and there's a number of stories where the entire crew on the Land Raider gets killed and it just in the Land Raider just keeps fighting the enemies like not like it was a fighting and I mean like it just keeps driving forward and shooting and gone forward. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it's picking new targets and killing them like it's and running over [SPEAKER_00]: You can't run people over it. [SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden, like, some of the, some of the walks up of the crew that the, that after the battle's over, like, hey, thank you, Landrader for winning this battle and everyone in sight is dead. [SPEAKER_00]: So for the ad neck though, the, the machine spirit means more than anything. [SPEAKER_00]: That's true. [SPEAKER_00]: It's now true. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, it's, it's proof that there is a machine God. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, this also is a hidden mess for them because the problem for the ad neck is it also creates an issue. [SPEAKER_00]: While the machine spirit proves the existence of the Amnesia, [SPEAKER_00]: The admin also worship the machine god. [SPEAKER_00]: They constantly get reinforcement from its existence, which makes them want to do more to show its loyalty. [SPEAKER_00]: So this, we're going to cover a bit more later, does create some challenges because [SPEAKER_00]: If you believe the Emperor is the Machine God, which not all of them do, which is the bolt that touches them, it's also more the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: The AdMec are very motivated to the existence of the Machine God, because they get the most evidence that the Machine God exists. [SPEAKER_00]: The Ecclesiarchy doesn't always view the Emperor as the Machine God, but they're still pretty happy that you worship him. [SPEAKER_00]: They are. [SPEAKER_00]: There's just, let's just say there's a viewpoint of, we're not doing it right. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the ad-making you does. [SPEAKER_00]: Very loyal worshippers of the Amnesia. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you don't think the Amnesia is the Emperor, and you think the Emperor is the only God, the Amnesia things a little bit of a problem. [SPEAKER_01]: And it'll probably work out because the ad-mix and charge a couple of things. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the admit get left alone. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Like why? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, John, what are the reasons the admit gets left of the admit wouldn't exist without it. [SPEAKER_00]: So the imperium would not exist. [SPEAKER_00]: So, as in the last cast, post-Harracy, the mechanism or reformed as yet that's the mechanism. [SPEAKER_00]: And despite more than a half of them, and their forge role is turning to Trader, they were given actually more power and more autonomy than doing period. [SPEAKER_01]: And they also absorb the Trader's into their midst. [SPEAKER_01]: And not an important thing. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of that. [SPEAKER_01]: Like a lot, a lot of that. [SPEAKER_00]: To be fair. [SPEAKER_00]: To be fair. [SPEAKER_00]: You're opinion. [SPEAKER_00]: make. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no evidence amongst the ad make of who is Trader and who wasn't Trader. [SPEAKER_01]: There's dark mechanics right now that actually left. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: with a bunch of the legions and when someone went back to the eye terror, they still exist dark mechanical. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just making the joke that the truth is, yeah, the ad max basically is. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, or how do this guy? [SPEAKER_01]: Who said? [SPEAKER_01]: Fifty percent of the traders just went back the next day and were like, hey, Tim, you're like, weren't you trying to kill me yesterday? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I got a shift now. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: I had to work. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're good, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like, you're going to have to deal with this man because we're working the same machine for the next twelve hours. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason for this, though, is the Imperium post-Harracy has a greater need than their own force. [SPEAKER_00]: They need weapons of war, because they went from fighting a couple Zenos to now Zenos. [SPEAKER_00]: And they have their foreshaders. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's a lie. [SPEAKER_01]: We quartered it. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll do the math correctly because we have half the legion stern trainer, which took half the guard with everything else. [SPEAKER_01]: But then also in killing each other, they have that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you're down seventy five percent. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, incredible levels of damage. [SPEAKER_00]: So we need weapons of war. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, now, well, let's go to the even that because we have. [SPEAKER_01]: The things got nothing but worse in the next ten thousand years. [SPEAKER_01]: But at this point in time, we have all of the Xenos problems that we already have. [SPEAKER_01]: And we have the guys that we just defeated. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing wild air quotes because Brad's just gesturing like crazy right now. [SPEAKER_00]: I just let it happen. [SPEAKER_01]: But also it's not like they went, hey, we're defeated. [SPEAKER_01]: We're never coming back. [SPEAKER_01]: They actively said, we're going to kill you as soon as we possibly can. [SPEAKER_01]: So you're like, we should probably [SPEAKER_01]: fix this. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, I forgot to mention, we just ruined like, I don't know, somewhere between five and five thousand planets that you got to go fix. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to cover in a few casts that you carry also start to arrive at this point. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, also because they went, remember when they used to defend this place? [SPEAKER_01]: Nobody showed up. [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to get real weird for the populist. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Weapons of war, they also need now planet crackers in order to get resources. [SPEAKER_00]: They have to terraform new settlements. [SPEAKER_00]: We manufacturing for all these hive cities, ships to move stuff around. [SPEAKER_00]: And basically, ninety percent of this functionality is coming from the admit. [SPEAKER_00]: So when they ask for something, everyone just kind of goes, yeah, yeah, go ahead. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, basically two stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's effectively what ends up occurring is the admec have this end of King's incredible autonomy, just to do whatever they want and into Brad's point. [SPEAKER_00]: Were they traitors the impereant? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a lot of them work. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll pause on that, though, because they're not supposed to have the autonomy. [SPEAKER_01]: The autonomy happens. [SPEAKER_01]: Remember, they're supposed to have less autonomy. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why they became the ad Mac, but because of the fact that we went, we need you to do these five hundred things. [SPEAKER_01]: And they go, if you don't mess with me, I will do this. [SPEAKER_00]: They get more autonomy. [SPEAKER_00]: They went from the ad Mac to having a, to being a Lord of terror. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm saying, they're on their own branch that reports to only to reports to said Lord of terror. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but they were supposed to be reigned in. [SPEAKER_01]: That was originally the thought after all this time. [SPEAKER_00]: And they reigned them in by giving by business. [SPEAKER_00]: But basically completely leaving them all. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: You're reigned in. [SPEAKER_00]: And not only are we going to leave you alone, we're just going to write down in our bylaws that you're going to be more left alone. [SPEAKER_01]: So I hope you learned your lesson in the bylaws. [SPEAKER_01]: If you guys do something bad. [SPEAKER_01]: you have to police yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys are in charge of you. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't mess that up. [SPEAKER_01]: If you commit a crime, you should definitely prosecute yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: But it actually gets worse than that because the headmeck now take this autonomy and then begin to forge. [SPEAKER_00]: Get it? [SPEAKER_00]: They're own many impairing. [SPEAKER_00]: They start settling worlds in mass. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't just sell up rows. [SPEAKER_01]: They take [SPEAKER_00]: We'll do that. [SPEAKER_00]: This gets worse. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: You actually, you act like they settled the world. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, this is a nice place with nobody here. [SPEAKER_01]: No, they showed up and went, hey, man, this is our stuff down. [SPEAKER_01]: People are like, I live here. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, oh, you mean you work here for me? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you work here. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, you do report to that big container over there. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to automate you a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, as we'll say, you're going to get some stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Am I going to get, oh, am I going to get new work gloves? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they'll be attached to the hands that we cut on. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So, one area before we can't dive forward is forage-rolled high-world, because that's actually what it does matter for ad-med, because the ad-med put the ad-med settles a world called a forage-rolled. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked in our cast about, you know, high roads, what high roads are? [SPEAKER_00]: So high roads produce the most common products for the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: They're incredibly, there's a lot more of them. [SPEAKER_00]: So a high road is going to produce things like las guns, actually Lehman rust tanks, interestingly, a flat armor ammunition, but also like they're going to convert the raw materials from agro. [SPEAKER_01]: They're more diverse. [SPEAKER_01]: The high roads a lot of times make multiple products. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Forgeworld do not. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the high-world's produce the most commonly. [SPEAKER_00]: The high-world's going to make t-shirts and socks. [SPEAKER_00]: Forge worlds on the other hand, to make melty guns, power sorts, power armor, beam blades, starships, titans, warp drives. [SPEAKER_01]: But they're also very specific. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's all that they produce. [SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is, the way I look at it is a high world, the high world's handle, the day-to-day function of the impure. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what they produce. [SPEAKER_00]: The forge worlds are why you can have a day-to-day function. [SPEAKER_00]: The weapon's a war. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the weapon's a war they make. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot to be fair. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of high verance. [SPEAKER_01]: There's not a lot of fortress. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it is growing as the problem. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yes. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this, the issue is effectively the, the forge worlds were always a key piece, but the end, they made specialized weaponry as the galaxy goes more inflamed. [SPEAKER_00]: These forge worlds become more and more important. [SPEAKER_00]: This is kind of how the admit gains so much power. [SPEAKER_00]: But you just remember, like up until the heresy, the only real threats, the Imperium were a couple random Zenos here and there. [SPEAKER_00]: And like, [SPEAKER_00]: and the light traders. [SPEAKER_00]: It was like, okay, this. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we get to the heresy and even post heresy, we still don't recognize that the traders were chaos. [SPEAKER_00]: This all shifts around M. thirty two, because in M. thirty two of the war, the beast explodes. [SPEAKER_00]: And the empire, and Imperium is hit with a Zeno invasion. [SPEAKER_00]: They've never been hit with before. [SPEAKER_00]: And the war, the beast was only put down because of the weaponry of the comic. [SPEAKER_00]: this then of course so they beat that but it's still the works don't go away. [SPEAKER_00]: You then get the jukari rates begin followed by the very beginning of the necrons. [SPEAKER_01]: Which they kind of don't know about. [SPEAKER_01]: They just know that some shit. [SPEAKER_01]: But it because in the beginning remember the necrons which show up and do stuff and then just leave. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: We're in the because of their technology. [SPEAKER_00]: or they would wipe a planet. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: They would either, I'm saying, even when they lost though, they took all their shit with them because they teleported everything away. [SPEAKER_00]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: But then you get the... So you just go, hey, what happened? [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I don't know if others, they're just gone. [SPEAKER_00]: We still don't know about the Votan, the Votan or Fender foe. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's Tal, but whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like the Tal, we're doing a thing in an area. [SPEAKER_00]: Tal and even there. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm saying liveentially. [SPEAKER_00]: The fourth one says that it's not really a forged road problem. [SPEAKER_00]: This one's saying tower. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a shield drones are. [SPEAKER_00]: Towshield Jones versus Leviathan dreadnought. [SPEAKER_01]: There are only people that played in, like, a physician understand how much. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and again, for those of you who were like, I liked how I actually don't mind Tau. [SPEAKER_00]: I hate a tradition Tau. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all this is. [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone hates a tradition Tau. [SPEAKER_00]: So this begins to push the Imperium a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: The reason the forge roads with all these problems become important is that up until this point, the Imperium has operated on the old adage. [SPEAKER_00]: Just jam the wood shipper. [SPEAKER_00]: The potty's. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it was. [SPEAKER_00]: the wood chipper has gotten so big. [SPEAKER_00]: Now they actually can't jam with buys anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: So now we need technology and the only place to better weaponry. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's only coming from the ad mech, which means the ad mech now start to get even more autonomy. [SPEAKER_01]: or which, okay, we've talked about, we did a whole cast in high-worlds. [SPEAKER_01]: A high-world is a vacation spot compared to a forgeworld. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, forgeworlds are absolute nightmare zones. [SPEAKER_00]: So if we need to spend some time now in forgeworlds and about how much of a nightmare they are, we'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: So I want to just before we dive into them, let's focus on the phrase, the flesh is weak. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyone who plays the game, if you don't play, I'd make a reply to it and you've heard this phrase, the flesh is weak. [SPEAKER_00]: This was because the ad MAC had always been a big fan of augmentation. [SPEAKER_00]: When they were the mechanic, I mean, they were pulling off arms, eyes, et cetera. [SPEAKER_00]: post, you know, a heresy. [SPEAKER_01]: They are, especially post more of the beast. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because they needed more. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we moved to a point where like if you look at tech priest, they're less than ten percent organic matter. [SPEAKER_01]: Everything becomes their general grief. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Now that's what's interesting about this is [SPEAKER_00]: All these augmentations prior to this were done by choice. [SPEAKER_00]: It was I'm a tech priest. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to interact better with technology. [SPEAKER_00]: Therefore I want to remove as much flesh from my body and turn it into technology so I can better interact with technology. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is where it becomes a nightmare. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is why I thought it was really important to focus on this because Edmack got carted blanch on just do what you need to do as long as you're putting out this. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't want to know what you're going to get the imperium rules very simple. [SPEAKER_00]: If you meet the imperial like tithes, we don't care how you meet them and just meet them. [SPEAKER_01]: And when we were jealous saying earlier about them starting to take over worlds to make for adults, they were just taking populists and again, augmenting full, full quotes. [SPEAKER_01]: But terrible, like, nightmare, you get armed. [SPEAKER_01]: They just chop off your arms and make it so that you, you, I'll feed you through a tube and you're better on the, the, the assembly line with this and you're like, I don't want you this. [SPEAKER_01]: They go, well, [SPEAKER_01]: We're just going to put this chip in, you know, where you can't talk back. [SPEAKER_01]: But here's the way it's such a nightmare because they can at least have the decency to basically lobotomize these people, but they don't bother. [SPEAKER_01]: They can't be bothered with the step. [SPEAKER_01]: They just put up a chip that makes it so you can't [SPEAKER_01]: stop doing what they tell you to do, but you're fully aware of the fact that you have the time can't control your body. [SPEAKER_01]: And oh yeah, you can't do normal shit because you now have two prongs that fit into the assembly line that you work on. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, we'll also just make it so they work on like twenty hours at a time. [SPEAKER_01]: Will it totally kill this person? [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, eventually, but we'll just put a bunch of drugs in. [SPEAKER_01]: Are the drugs going to cause massive pain and problems? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, but we'll get maximum efficiency. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll just do this to another guy and we'll actually use the arms that we had on this guy and put him on another guy. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, does he know what's happening? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, we keep him aware of the whole time. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, [SPEAKER_01]: Why? [SPEAKER_01]: Because we're dicks. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the only reason I can give you. [SPEAKER_00]: The ad make is just dicks. [SPEAKER_00]: They could just horrifying. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, let's, yes, let's dive into this. [SPEAKER_00]: You're just trapped in your body. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's dive into this. [SPEAKER_00]: So we covered high worlds, different plants. [SPEAKER_00]: And we kind of skipped over four worlds. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason it was intentional. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this was coming. [SPEAKER_00]: Living in a high world might be better. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, it's a, it's wildly better. [SPEAKER_00]: It's tough golf. [SPEAKER_00]: It sucks. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's [SPEAKER_00]: are, you know, you've got the ad because the ad Meck run a tight ship. [SPEAKER_00]: The high worlds you've got roaming murder gangs. [SPEAKER_00]: All, you know, the few do. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just a high theory governor's ad mex worlds like no joke. [SPEAKER_00]: The entire world will be toxic or rated every time. [SPEAKER_01]: I have a necroman to harm me. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll join a bike again. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they don't like like there's no OSHA. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, and for those who don't know what OSHA is, occupational safety, and so it's, it's the safety guys. [SPEAKER_00]: I button the term I used for them is, is Admit uses the Ivan Drago mantra. [SPEAKER_00]: They died. [SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's their viewpoint of their workers. [SPEAKER_00]: So which means that as Brad was saying like, [SPEAKER_00]: You know, if you, they augment everyone. [SPEAKER_00]: So those of us who played space marine two, you'll notice that like some of the, the workers have plugs in their heads and their bodies. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what they can be plugged into technology. [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't ask for that. [SPEAKER_00]: That was something I'd make just put in them. [SPEAKER_00]: And not a lot of anesthesia and rest period. [SPEAKER_01]: No, they're drilling holes in your head. [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, hold still. [SPEAKER_01]: No problem. [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to hold still. [SPEAKER_01]: We're just going to paint you to the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the ad make, [SPEAKER_00]: At this stage though, start to discover the value. [SPEAKER_00]: One thing that comes out of the forge worlds, and this worker force in the forge worlds, is that it makes sense to see all the value of doing these kind of, what I would call more mild modifications to people and see what they can do. [SPEAKER_00]: And they can actually not only use these modifications for labor and for production, [SPEAKER_00]: But for combat, and they start creating effectively weapons of war, built off of humans. [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, we're about to do Skatari and Catafronts. [SPEAKER_00]: And we hold it. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's dive into the Skatari. [SPEAKER_00]: And the Skatari are, what they are, is the main infantry arm of the etmek. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, we say the infantry arm, the non-infantry arm of the admec are titans. [SPEAKER_00]: So, pretty big gap here. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going from individual dude with rifle all the way up to walking city. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's a lot of scotarias. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, we don't fully know their original formation. [SPEAKER_00]: We know they came out some point. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give another one. [SPEAKER_01]: This is one of the times when I actually like [SPEAKER_01]: the blurriness of it, because ADMAC are pretty damn secretive from what they do, so there shouldn't be a record in the base. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and this is the first time we made a Skatari, the Skatari kind of a piece, they're present during the Heresy era, but they really blow up post Heresy. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is mostly because prior to this, the ADMAC [SPEAKER_00]: Remember, it's important. [SPEAKER_00]: Under the mechanic, they relied in the Imperium of mankind to protect them. [SPEAKER_00]: So the mechanic and were just there for creating technology, that's all that they did. [SPEAKER_00]: Now they have all this new autonomy. [SPEAKER_00]: They have to actually conquer worlds. [SPEAKER_00]: They have to do a bunch of things all in their own. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they also got [SPEAKER_01]: Fairly wrecked, dependent on who wanted them to be on their side. [SPEAKER_01]: So this is a, I kind of don't want that to happen again. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they learned the key lesson that, you know, we need to have a military. [SPEAKER_00]: So the Skatari become this massive force within them. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what is a Skatari? [SPEAKER_00]: So all Skatari were originally humans. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not entirely clear where they come from. [SPEAKER_00]: We know some of the things that, you know, some are just born. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how AdMec have kids, but apparently they're born. [SPEAKER_00]: And they, and they volunteer. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's be honest. [SPEAKER_00]: They're born. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying, well, I don't know why we're touching on this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, every other thousand, you know, and then they're all that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: They're all, they're all that grown. [SPEAKER_00]: Or there's a special version that are captured, lobotomized, and brought into service. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to get to that specific group. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, you putting the lobotomized in quotes, because you're not, you're still unfortunately worried because ad-maxed our decks. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so one thing we should point out, when we use the word lobotomized, there's the true version of lobotomized, where we're actually basically severing your higher process in the rest of your body. [SPEAKER_00]: What the ad-maxed is, they sever your higher process from any influence on the function of your body, which is so dark. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you were prisoner in your own body. [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy dark. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is why the Skittari have more of a human shape, but when you actually look at the model itself, they're much more, you know, machine than that. [SPEAKER_01]: They're almost all machines. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're whole bodies replaced with bionics. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, they both, you know, actual, [SPEAKER_00]: limbs and whatnot replaced eyes, but also they even have their brains adjusted. [SPEAKER_00]: So a couple key highlights, which I like is random. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a really weird one to combo. [SPEAKER_00]: They have their eyelids removed. [SPEAKER_00]: Which also why? [SPEAKER_00]: Right, but then within they replaced their whole eyes with cybernetic goggles. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because you can't, you have this bill. [SPEAKER_00]: Did this first step and you were like, to put a dick again, to put, you still need to protect the eyes. [SPEAKER_00]: And I put goggles over to you. [SPEAKER_00]: And like, just so you replaced the eyes of goggles. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But before we did that, we cut the eyelids off. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, what does that function? [SPEAKER_01]: You know, nothing. [SPEAKER_00]: The goggles they put in then are designed to be like a space marine helmet. [SPEAKER_01]: So they, you know, could you cut it down that and still like eyelids. [SPEAKER_00]: But endless information. [SPEAKER_00]: No, because, you know, [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, apparently the goggles also have a shit ton of vicing in them. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the question, Brad, do you think they can see in the dark? [SPEAKER_00]: We think they can see the night fights at things for Admin? [SPEAKER_01]: It's probably a... This actually weirdly enough makes me wildly more angry than poison does. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Because again, we're two thousand twenty four and I and I can't fight in the dark. [SPEAKER_01]: I can wildly see at the dark. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like so thirty eight thousand years from now night is a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to see the dark on the set up. [SPEAKER_00]: The next one to do is really weird. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually, so when we did the space marine episode, talking about how they put in like an extra long that had some oxygen in it to help them survive when there's poison in the air, then it probably doesn't work. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they added back did a weird one. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually put a chunk of poisoned gas inside all of them that is nourishing. [SPEAKER_00]: I had to read this seven times. [SPEAKER_01]: This makes zero sense. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, apparently because the Skatari come from an irradiated world. [SPEAKER_01]: But they don't. [SPEAKER_00]: But they don't. [SPEAKER_00]: If the Skatari, they all come. [SPEAKER_01]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: They're, they're official Skatari. [SPEAKER_00]: And so to make them feel better in combat, they have a little light, they take a hit of like incredibly toxic air and it makes them feel better. [SPEAKER_01]: And they came in, crystal meth just like home. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but not because Tometho is at least the German's conquered France on that drug. [SPEAKER_00]: These guys are actually artists getting like Chernobyl. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not as fun. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about the next happy thing that happens. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a many lobotomy with neural link. [SPEAKER_00]: So what they do now is they give them not a full lobotomy, but they put a neural link in their brain. [SPEAKER_00]: Good job Elon Musk. [SPEAKER_00]: And it makes them fearless on the battlefront, not the tabletop. [SPEAKER_01]: Fair leadership so bad on the table top yet they're they can't they physically can't run away unless the tech. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the thing. [SPEAKER_00]: This is this design to make them function the way tiering it's to they actually create a hive mind based around the tech breeze with a skittari or interacting with a high breeze at full speed [SPEAKER_00]: with full control. [SPEAKER_00]: So there's the are completely fearless. [SPEAKER_00]: They move seamlessly and apparently whoever writes that the codex for for ad mech wasn't aware of that this is also the same there. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm going to get so box incoming, everyone on the table top ad mech should have to have characters with all the units. [SPEAKER_01]: period. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't operate. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't send out a bunch of these gung-oh guys. [SPEAKER_00]: This isn't gons go slow. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I guess one one tech priest could probably. [SPEAKER_00]: You right, you would need to have if you have a Skittari, you'd have share a tech priest somewhere. [SPEAKER_00]: You should have that. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, if in a certain range, but if the tech priest were to die, they should be used as same as the tyrannics. [SPEAKER_00]: You're right. [SPEAKER_00]: The ad mentioned at the same thing was that had the same, some of the design apps rule. [SPEAKER_00]: hundred percent. [SPEAKER_01]: This is how they work. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't get a choice. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not like you're they asked if you hey, who wants to be chipped here? [SPEAKER_01]: Raise your hand. [SPEAKER_00]: I had macarmys. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but that is a pleasure. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, my had macarmy are just they're independent. [SPEAKER_00]: No, no. [SPEAKER_00]: So by the way, that was all the good part of the eschatari because now it gets a lot worse. [SPEAKER_00]: And but wait, there's more all the body modification and like loss of control, that was the good part. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the fun part. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of their weapons are radiation based. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I've no idea how this works, like how you shoot a radiation gun, and I don't feel having the aneurysm to try not understand it. [SPEAKER_01]: They also don't contain it at all. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but the part that's kind of, so I'm not going to explain to you how shooting some of the radiation would work. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yes, they'll get cancer, but they're not going to die now. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're like, hey, you're going to die. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, sometimes in the future, I've got to gun the shoots radiation. [SPEAKER_00]: You have a knife. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, let's hear that we're both going to die. [SPEAKER_00]: One of us is going to die a lot quicker. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, that's all I'm saying. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go home and tell my family that I'm going to die. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Although you will be glowing. [SPEAKER_00]: I got a goal from fucking fallout. [SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, I won't. [SPEAKER_01]: I maybe I just can't go. [SPEAKER_00]: But the funny part about these radiation guns is they're not, there's no lead in them. [SPEAKER_00]: So the Skatari who are carrying them are just carrying a cancer machine with them. [SPEAKER_00]: So it also does kill them routinely. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's like, you know, that's actually still pretty good. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm still, I'm still Skatari infantry. [SPEAKER_00]: My weapon is killing me. [SPEAKER_00]: But what if like you're in the Skatari and they say, well, we need someone to drive the truck. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just going to save all the admit players and not talk about hover, not hover. [SPEAKER_00]: So fun part is, like, if you have pilot this category. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not good. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, you know, how let's, you get like a rental car or maybe the car that you own and the seats on that comfortable and you kind of like it. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, lugless guitar, you have an idea for you. [SPEAKER_00]: They'll just cut off every one of your limbs and just make you the seat. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they plug you in. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you are now part of the vehicle and you will be with this vehicle until it dies. [SPEAKER_00]: You are the Thomas the Tank Engine of the Imperial. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, I hope you're comfortable way you're sitting right now because you're sitting there. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, forever. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Could still be worse. [SPEAKER_00]: Because we mentioned earlier that some of the Skatari are not born or bred or volunteered to be Skatari. [SPEAKER_00]: There's other ones that were effectively victims of it had mech incursion or wronged the ad mech in some way. [SPEAKER_01]: And these are for myself as tribute. [SPEAKER_00]: These ones. [SPEAKER_00]: So what they do is first they hack off all your limbs and replace them with like cybernetic pointy limbs. [SPEAKER_00]: Your brain is lobotomized down to where you have no control over your body, but you have awareness. [SPEAKER_00]: And then they, with the new chips they plug in your brain, they just fill your body and your soul with rage and hate. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's almost like shaking a soda can as much as you can. [SPEAKER_00]: and there's kept in these, with the way you're supposed to, is you keep them in transports and closed transports, and then you do the door bursts open and they run out of the kill. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, these are called rust stalkers. [SPEAKER_00]: If you guys don't know, I'm talking about these, these are Skatari rust stalkers and infiltrators. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's why they're super fast on the board. [SPEAKER_01]: This is actually something that, they got a hundred percent right because they have pluses do advance. [SPEAKER_01]: They have pluses to charge. [SPEAKER_01]: They can advance in charge. [SPEAKER_01]: They are wild. [SPEAKER_01]: They're super too fast. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And everything they do by the way, of wheel kill them. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They just dive. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they're supposed to cause, well, they're, [SPEAKER_00]: They're in punishment. [SPEAKER_00]: They're supposed to die, but they rush out of the place as just absolute murder machines. [SPEAKER_00]: We did your car. [SPEAKER_01]: They do want to touch in the fact that also, none of the murder machines also, but they get the chip programmed in. [SPEAKER_01]: They try to murder other HQs, which are the people in the game. [SPEAKER_01]: They're supposed to go on their suicide mission effectively to kill the most important thing. [SPEAKER_00]: If you have a big hat, [SPEAKER_00]: This is one of the few even tenth edition ad meck of struggled, but rust stalkers. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think it was a really good job. [SPEAKER_01]: Flavor wise. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a good job. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, model looks good. [SPEAKER_00]: Unit unit plays, et cetera. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, we're going to, we're going to sisters and our next up upcoming cast and you guys, I'll let you decide this or penitent engine, which is the more messed up. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm, I'm going to tell you guys, my thoughts, sisters are the most horror. [SPEAKER_01]: They're just, it's a horror. [SPEAKER_00]: It's up, it's up, it's up, it's up who, who forgot. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're doing AdMek, sisters, then you, Corey. [SPEAKER_00]: I. Good luck. [SPEAKER_01]: I still think, even, we're going to need a car and you're going to be like, that's messed up, and I still think the sisters are worse. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sisters are much, because they're self-righteous about it too. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing to get it. [SPEAKER_01]: Did your car know their evil? [SPEAKER_01]: Sisters are, we were the good. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, sisters are like, this person deserves this. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, they're kind of the same. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll get into it. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, all three of them, they all, they all view the person who this do is the same. [SPEAKER_00]: So, anyway, there is another branch within the admex surgery, though, which are called the catafronts. [SPEAKER_00]: I love the model Catafron. [SPEAKER_00]: I wish they were going to table top because they've just overpointed. [SPEAKER_00]: They'd have it. [SPEAKER_00]: When are they not been overpointed? [SPEAKER_01]: They're so expensive. [SPEAKER_00]: So the Catafrons are much less mentally aware of this guitar. [SPEAKER_00]: They're more close to service. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the used for a lot more of a deus and so the catafront begins their life as a as a just a normal human being living their life and at some point we've all had bad days. [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's had a bad day. [SPEAKER_00]: No one's had I became a catafront that [SPEAKER_01]: Also, let's talk about Imperium Justice. [SPEAKER_01]: Ready? [SPEAKER_01]: John committed a crime. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man. [SPEAKER_01]: John's going to get a horrible punishment. [SPEAKER_01]: Probably way too much punishment. [SPEAKER_01]: And then he had makes scoops up everyone that lived in that city. [SPEAKER_01]: And also makes them part of this. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, but I've never even met John. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you should have probably stopped him from committing that crime. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know who he is or where he lives. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he lives close enough to you where you're now going with us. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's dive it. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is a fun one. [SPEAKER_00]: Effectively, at some point, set individual makes a mistake and crosses one of the many ways of impairing. [SPEAKER_00]: You could be a true criminal murderer, smuggler, all these. [SPEAKER_01]: True. [SPEAKER_01]: They do send prisoners, but also exactly what I was saying. [SPEAKER_00]: They also could have like, there's also the undesirables where it's like, hey, I tried to order, organize a labor movement to revolt against this. [SPEAKER_01]: We shouldn't be working twenty-hour days in poison. [SPEAKER_00]: And even then, there's also still the ones who were just like, Nate, who looked in the directly into the eyes of the planetary governor. [SPEAKER_01]: And so these guys, [SPEAKER_01]: Remember, the Imperium's all about numbers. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we're here to pick up prisoners. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but we actually need a thousand. [SPEAKER_01]: There's only two hundred prisoners. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's grab these eight hundred. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, big brother. [SPEAKER_00]: The first eight hundred you see. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I'm working at the gap going, but I'm, no, no. [SPEAKER_00]: I just got off lunch. [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: So these people in this, this is in the codex, why I'm gonna do this. [SPEAKER_00]: They then, the ourbites are sent after them, and the ourbites just beat them within an inch of their lives. [SPEAKER_00]: They also don't tell them why they're beating them. [SPEAKER_00]: The ourbites are the Brute Squad, which if you don't know the reference, I'm on the Brute Squad. [SPEAKER_00]: You are the Brute Squad. [SPEAKER_00]: and maybe the best movie ever made. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, if you don't like that movie, you know, no one does live on these heavens. [SPEAKER_00]: So they are by its beat, these people with an inch of their lives, and then they're shipped off to a forgeroll, at which point their life gets worse. [SPEAKER_00]: So first off, these ones are actually fully lobotomized. [SPEAKER_00]: They lose all consciousness whatsoever, as most, and get in my control. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, I think that this is better. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's better for the individual. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just so. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, but like the skittari thing is such a nightmare because you are fully aware of what's going on and you are a passenger in your own body. [SPEAKER_00]: But then this one, they're taking your body and just turn it into a machine. [SPEAKER_01]: I at least don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: That's how. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's true. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: How about this? [SPEAKER_01]: I at least kind of died. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't get to go. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, am I fully aware? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, for some unknown reason, you also let me feel pain. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: That's a fair point. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you didn't have to do that. [SPEAKER_00]: You could have turned this off, man. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: You just decided to let me not be in charge of my own body, but still feel all the pain. [SPEAKER_01]: Why? [SPEAKER_01]: This, by the way, easily remedy, but you decided. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, everyone's kind of runs just messed up because they do is they then they then cut their bodies in half and cut their arms off and I assume the strap you and do and they never talk with you with the do of those parts of course it's good stuff, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, you ain't got it for lunch. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's good. [SPEAKER_00]: So the torso is a bit is then encased in armor and then jammed on top of some tracks and a giant gun is attached to them. [SPEAKER_01]: You were [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it into an TV. [SPEAKER_00]: It catafrons become of just the suicide squad of the admin. [SPEAKER_00]: They just send them out on their tracks with their giant armor guns. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know what you do get though? [SPEAKER_01]: One of the coolest guns in the game. [SPEAKER_00]: Which one? [SPEAKER_00]: The breacher gun. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the breacher gun is awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Both of them are awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the breaches. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I kind of love the breaches, but they're so good. [SPEAKER_01]: They're so wildly overcast. [SPEAKER_00]: They're so good. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what to put this in. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is a personal thing of mine. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, Catholic castling robots robots in disguise. [SPEAKER_01]: They're awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: I realized this is going to feel like a weird like you guys had like a like it's like like we did a weird edit and this no this is the order I'm doing this in. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a good place to talk about Castlin robots in this cast and so I'm just gonna do it now because they're one of my favorite parts of the entire ad neck for me aesthetically. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, wherever plus, there's a really cool thing on them. [SPEAKER_00]: I love cast the one robots. [SPEAKER_00]: They look cool. [SPEAKER_00]: They're Laura's cool. [SPEAKER_01]: They look like Iron Giant. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So first off, the castline robots is they're one of the most secretive parts of the entire ad mech weaponry. [SPEAKER_00]: They had them forever too. [SPEAKER_00]: That's right. [SPEAKER_00]: They're in minimum ten thousand years old and everyone knows they're even older. [SPEAKER_00]: The belief is they actually predate the impairing. [SPEAKER_00]: So they have never made a single one. [SPEAKER_00]: Every castlin wrote about you ever see was found by the AdMac. [SPEAKER_00]: The only thing they had meant to know is that they currently have a way to control them. [SPEAKER_00]: For those who haven't seen them, just look them up, but they're effectively a bipedal robot that looks like a... That also fires a billion shots. [SPEAKER_00]: Or punches with the power of a thousand shots, like they've had. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's the punching thing we do a lot in the period. [SPEAKER_00]: The gun that they have... Either the mission combat, they were insane. [SPEAKER_01]: And the eighth edition, but they could fire twice. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it locked in. [SPEAKER_00]: It locked in. [SPEAKER_00]: Thirty shots a guy. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was great. [SPEAKER_00]: I have his love of them. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't own it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's by coming. [SPEAKER_00]: I had to play against this and watch a third of my heart. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even like it. [SPEAKER_01]: Mac, let's be honest. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't that it makes one of my least favorites. [SPEAKER_01]: I love cast on Robots. [SPEAKER_00]: because they look amazing, but the best part to me about them is like, we don't know what they are. [SPEAKER_00]: So the admeck won't let anyone in anywhere near them. [SPEAKER_00]: When they're anywhere, they just deploy them on the half through and they get from the hell out. [SPEAKER_01]: They also say, I don't know why they can control them. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's be honest with that too. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a hundred percent that they can. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the truth of matter is that, you know, they don't necessarily resemble the metaviron, but they don't like the whole thing the ad mech, according to Admech lore, you know, the castlin robots, there's a tech priest who interface with them, they do whatever he says. [SPEAKER_00]: But these things predate tech priests. [SPEAKER_01]: It, it will also detect priests and the admech. [SPEAKER_01]: will lose engagements to make sure they don't lose cast on her. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and they will also, if the cast on her, but falls, they pick up every single piece. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, there is no evidence. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying, I firmly believe that the cast on robots are a matter of iron. [SPEAKER_00]: I really, or a variation therein, I think it's, it's minimum full AI could be worse. [SPEAKER_00]: And the admaker like, look, they shoot better than anything. [SPEAKER_00]: Because on the tabletop right average talking, they were good in the lore. [SPEAKER_00]: And castling robots are deployed. [SPEAKER_00]: It's an auto win. [SPEAKER_01]: We need, it only shows up as multiples of them and just murder. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they are so awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, we've talked about this guitar, the catafonds and these ones. [SPEAKER_00]: What about like the regular? [SPEAKER_01]: Wait for it. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want everyone's force. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want everybody to think, hey, John, Brad, you guys only talked about these really offshoot the extremes. [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, everything else in AdMack isn't nightmare. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's dive into what regular item I got. [SPEAKER_00]: So first we'll talk about the tech priest. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: So what is a tech priest? [SPEAKER_00]: You hear a term a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is more for those you can play like space brain to renew it again. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, what is this tech priest? [SPEAKER_00]: The tech priest handles kind of almost every role. [SPEAKER_00]: The weaponry design, weaponry maintenance, ship maintenance, vehicle maintenance, armories, like if you're playing space marine to your weapons from an ad from an ad not cut and greased. [SPEAKER_00]: This is because a tech priest is effectively a living computer. [SPEAKER_00]: anything and they've augmented themselves so much, they are a machine. [SPEAKER_00]: Those of you who properly read your guardsmen manual, remember, like, for example, you are never allowed to touch, talk to or interact with a tech priest, or you will be shot. [SPEAKER_00]: Keep this. [SPEAKER_00]: The tech priest, share a similar, the tech priest all look kind of the same way, which is their more machine than man. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's like hold on. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm changing it up again. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a big difference in this because tech priests every single piece of enhancement has been their decision and arguments what they're trying to do. [SPEAKER_01]: They are for them. [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to become the pinnacle of performance of what they're trying to do. [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_00]: But the story that are kind of funny, where it's like, you know, [SPEAKER_00]: They'll have a hand. [SPEAKER_00]: They'll be doing something. [SPEAKER_00]: The break and nail their solution is to remove the whole hand. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you'll never let that happen again. [SPEAKER_00]: They stub a toe. [SPEAKER_00]: No, these here. [SPEAKER_00]: No more toes. [SPEAKER_01]: Also remember, we talked about this in the last cast almost every loss. [SPEAKER_01]: The ad back is ever taken and I just did air quotes and looked John in the eye for my air quotes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Every loss that I've ever taken is always the flesh is weak. [SPEAKER_01]: What can I, I need to lose this my hands sock my eyes suck. [SPEAKER_01]: These are the reasons we didn't get a complete victory in this last engagement is because [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, whatever flesh I had failed me. [SPEAKER_01]: And I need to get that fixed. [SPEAKER_00]: And some of the changes make actual sense. [SPEAKER_00]: So those change their hands out and their arms out for, you know, a hand, it's, it's a young multi tool built into it. [SPEAKER_00]: They'll add, make a tender, I think you'll talk about it in a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: The models, highs and faces. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's a big thing we got to talk about the faces though, because the faces are, like a huge thing. [SPEAKER_01]: You could see it in the ad, make line of models. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, if you were to build that like army, uh, leadbelcher. [SPEAKER_00]: You're buying a lot of lead. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, well, the biggest thing is is that the, if you look at the models themselves, almost all the faces are completely augmented. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Because it doesn't work for what they want to. [SPEAKER_00]: Why have it? [SPEAKER_00]: Why have a mouth and vocal cords? [SPEAKER_00]: They have a boxcaster. [SPEAKER_00]: I can speak, not only to a machinery, but I can transmit massive distances. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm supposed to remember, I'm a tech priest. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm in charge of. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: twenty thirty forty fifty how many. [SPEAKER_01]: I have people that are completely under my control. [SPEAKER_01]: Then I need to communicate with all of us. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you also have that the mech attendants or the other big ones. [SPEAKER_00]: So these are actually it's doctor octopus. [SPEAKER_00]: I know where they got the idea from. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's be called to kill him. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a great one. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean that it's doctor octopus. [SPEAKER_00]: They give them doctor octopus. [SPEAKER_00]: So they have these extra limbs that allow them to interact more and more things. [SPEAKER_00]: Why have they why have two on you can [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I was like, I just special make a ten joint. [SPEAKER_00]: We can carry, we can put like a plasma cannon on. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about this because this is another thing that's not allowed by the Imperium, which a hundred percent is allowed by the Imperium, because they just turned line I to it. [SPEAKER_01]: You can operate eight arms without AI, which that's not important. [SPEAKER_01]: They are a hundred percent of AI programming in them. [SPEAKER_00]: One of the ones I did laugh at though was auto-sanguination, so it's when they have their blood and heart and lungs replaced with a pump for a specific fluid. [SPEAKER_00]: And they never talk about what it does. [SPEAKER_00]: What does that say? [SPEAKER_00]: Because you don't need red blood cells anymore, because there's no flesh. [SPEAKER_00]: Because they refer to it as it helps them heal wounds and better defense against toxins. [SPEAKER_01]: What? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, genderless. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what? [SPEAKER_00]: Let's protect Brad here. [SPEAKER_00]: I get Brad a lot of crap that I can poison the space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: You can also poison the tech priest. [SPEAKER_01]: With what? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be fair. [SPEAKER_01]: That was that. [SPEAKER_01]: They rub some poison into the heart that's in the middle of it. [SPEAKER_00]: Also poison Necrons. [SPEAKER_00]: But you're just like, oh god, I forgot about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Necron. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Necron warriors. [SPEAKER_00]: You can shoot Necron warriors with poison weapons. [SPEAKER_00]: There's still ones on the two. [SPEAKER_01]: because also you have to have to train. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's something. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I can't figure that one up. [SPEAKER_00]: The one I do like, I'll get to these as a second is what's called the electo, which is just a fun word, where they actually put circuitry inside of their skin so they can touch machinery and interact with it directly. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is, and when we talk about touch, I mean, he's not plugging in. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to like, you can, yeah, totally hands on it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: You can lay hands on a vehicle. [SPEAKER_01]: And one, you understand everything that's going on in the vehicle, because you have an immediate connection and an immediate, this is in one of the stories. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, it's a short, I'm not even going to get it. [SPEAKER_01]: I have to look at one second. [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the things is they have a short story about this. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the tech Marines just touches a land reader and it gets an immediate transfer of all its knowledge and they basically do a back and forth. [SPEAKER_00]: Where are you? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, instant. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's all it takes. [SPEAKER_00]: Lay hands and that's the elect to. [SPEAKER_00]: Now this transition, one important thing about the tech priests is that these transitions they do continue over time. [SPEAKER_00]: So the older attack priests, the more augmentation. [SPEAKER_00]: So much like the older attack priests also lean into their augmentation based on purpose for the admit. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're transmitting in catalytic india, you'll have an overpowered boxcaster. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're working with titans, you get a special interface. [SPEAKER_00]: They call it mine impulse units. [SPEAKER_00]: You know she can interact better with the machine spirit. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're in charge of capturing like data and information on the field, but a little mini science kit built in, or like you're leading like Skittari or Catafonds, there's going to put every single gum that ever exists on you. [SPEAKER_00]: And also like the like the L-D-R, the longer you survive and the longer you live, you actually made it branching into other areas of becoming even more knowledgeable. [SPEAKER_00]: you do get more weird but you get more knowledge will become more more weird wildly more weird we're going to talk about I mean this is a highlight of yeah so let's talk some highlights about some degrees so one of the ones I like a lot of electro priests again I don't know how to make a lot of it by all like playing at me electro priests heaven is it night edition where they would is [SPEAKER_01]: why position they were just disgusting and tenth edition. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what? [SPEAKER_01]: I gave GW props earlier. [SPEAKER_01]: Screw you, GW on this. [SPEAKER_01]: Why did you rule it? [SPEAKER_00]: They were the other useless now. [SPEAKER_00]: They're point, but they were so awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, night edition. [SPEAKER_00]: They would, because Electro Priest, they were good in eighth and ninth. [SPEAKER_01]: They were amazing in ninth. [SPEAKER_00]: Ninth, eight, they were good. [SPEAKER_00]: So Electro Priest, we talked about it, but people have the, the electus, inside of the electus, the ones who get all of the electus and basically a generator on top of it, they can, they had effectively power a landrater, but it's putting their hand on it. [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that they focus these on either melee squads or shooting squads, which they would fire off all of a sudden. [SPEAKER_00]: But they're not supposed to be though. [SPEAKER_00]: The thing is what they're supposed to be, that's what's what's, this makes them so cool. [SPEAKER_00]: What they're supposed to be is like they'll work like in like a power plant. [SPEAKER_00]: And because they have all this power, they can actually effectively control the reactor and control reaction times with their bodies. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but what they do with them is send them out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but yeah, if you want to send them out in a combat, they're a, of course, if you don't send them in the, if you take them out of the reactor and don't send them on a combat, they will actually explode. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they actually, they end up randomly exploding, which is hilarious. [SPEAKER_00]: Another one that's really common, you see, you see, they will have a cybernetic or data smets. [SPEAKER_00]: which don't really belong to the tablet that's a side note. [SPEAKER_01]: They have battle meditation though. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a stretch. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying, it's a change as far as you're right. [SPEAKER_01]: As far as the star was fans, they know what battle. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's a stretch. [SPEAKER_01]: But what is what they do? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it makes for sense. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually disagree with you on this point because I think that the Simon and Daddy Smith's because they're supposed to be in charge of blocks of Skittari, basically. [SPEAKER_00]: The data smits in charge of the robots and the vehicles. [SPEAKER_01]: They're in charge of the whole thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's my issue with subject data smits is in the lore. [SPEAKER_00]: A subratic data smits could let you walk up to a beam blade that you've got taken out. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I shouldn't turn it back on. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And now they don't do it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, you're a hundred percent right on that, but they also, they interact with everyone. [SPEAKER_01]: That state should be basically running the battlefield. [SPEAKER_01]: They're generals. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's why I just don't think there should be a man in the game. [SPEAKER_01]: They also cost thirty points. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: What's why? [SPEAKER_00]: When are I favorites though, are room priests? [SPEAKER_00]: So room priests are another one of my favorites, and it's because they're just the super scientists of the admit. [SPEAKER_00]: They're called room priests, because they actually have rooms carved all over their body, but they're, they're carved by so they can better interact with all things mechanical. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, [SPEAKER_00]: They're no more for like, you know, chanting and doing all this garbage, but what they really do is diagnose problems. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, is there something broken? [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to, I mean, interface with it and scoured, literally the entire knowledge banks of the ad mecta solve it. [SPEAKER_01]: They're more than correctly, by the way, they should have satellite dishes on their head basically. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, but they're cool as hell cause they also analyze and any weaponry, devices, they're the reason why like, [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about one of the low key things that they do. [SPEAKER_01]: We didn't really hit on this. [SPEAKER_01]: Room piece are supposed to pocket any Zeno's technology and not tell anybody about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's, they're, they're true goal in the battlefield. [SPEAKER_00]: They send room priests out with the soldiers. [SPEAKER_00]: As if they were in command of the soldiers, they're not. [SPEAKER_00]: Their job is after like, we'll use, I'm gonna give Tau credit here. [SPEAKER_00]: And let's say the ad mech fight Tau and Diffie Tau. [SPEAKER_00]: The room priest job is to pick up a Tau plasma and shove it and it's pocket for anyone sees they didn't. [SPEAKER_00]: because they're going to look at it later. [SPEAKER_00]: Same thing with theories. [SPEAKER_00]: The room pre-selected ripping the arm off a tearing water or take it back. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, all right, let's go to research this. [SPEAKER_00]: If the room pre-select cool is held because they're just like, no, I'm researching all of this. [SPEAKER_01]: In the movies, they will in the eighties movies. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're the CIA guy. [SPEAKER_01]: That's [SPEAKER_01]: He's there, but he has, yeah, he has ulterior motive. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's the one roping off the area. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're grabbing all of this now. [SPEAKER_00]: Roon priests are cool as hell because then because again, on the table top, I don't care, but in the lore, the Roon priests are what are advancing. [SPEAKER_01]: They're wildly lame on the table fair table top, but they're amazing and large because to be, to be fair, they're the people that are [SPEAKER_01]: pushing for this because AdMac is the only arm of the Imperium that's not afraid to use and say use learn from Zenos technology. [SPEAKER_00]: The AdMac leadership is built purely out of, there is no nepotism. [SPEAKER_00]: There is only kind of a earned advancement. [SPEAKER_00]: If you are a good tech priest and you're successful tech priest, you will advance and you advance all your way up. [SPEAKER_00]: Which is why the I'm at arguably are the most functioning version of any government within the Imperium because everyone has earned their position. [SPEAKER_00]: No one. [SPEAKER_00]: Then it may be custodes. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a couple of spaces. [SPEAKER_00]: Some, okay, it's basically probably too. [SPEAKER_00]: They really do fall into that category of like if you're a space marine captain, [SPEAKER_00]: you are a hell of a soldier. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's the, if you are, if you're the head of the custodians, dear God, you know, it's all these things. [SPEAKER_00]: So the admaker not like a lot of like the other parts of the Imperial. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's give you a talk about guard, but continue. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm talking about guard. [SPEAKER_00]: You're in a playable faction, talking about guard. [SPEAKER_00]: If I'm talking about the Imperium in general, I'm talking about all of it. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_00]: And so as a tech priest advance, they then move up a tier. [SPEAKER_00]: So once you've gone from priesthood, you then move up to like, modules, logists, artisans. [SPEAKER_00]: So one of my favorite parts of the AdMec is the AdMec and the Inquisition. [SPEAKER_00]: And I wanted to kind of end our cast talking about this great nightmare. [SPEAKER_01]: Can we talk about the fact that? [SPEAKER_01]: Who's probably killed the most inquisitoris? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's the admec. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, of course you're not a wide margin. [SPEAKER_01]: So, so many accidents have happened. [SPEAKER_00]: And well, it's actually it's really funny because as we said, there's an admec who's a lord of terror. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So he has full autonomy and authority. [SPEAKER_00]: But the admec do not follow the imperial creed. [SPEAKER_00]: They just, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They have no no no no cathedrals to the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no icon, I can't iconography to the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: They were to the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the ecclesiarchy has no play has no presence on forge world. [SPEAKER_01]: You, you said a lot of good things. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, the him raise the nose. [SPEAKER_00]: So I love it. [SPEAKER_00]: They find it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's my fight over it. [SPEAKER_00]: They also fight over corrupted technology that the tech now that's true. [SPEAKER_00]: It's that it can be can be yelling. [SPEAKER_00]: I am corn and they'll go. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_01]: It's ours. [SPEAKER_01]: They've there's so many corrupted [SPEAKER_00]: demon engines that they're studying trying to go we should use and also we talked about earlier they also will just murder imperial citizens because they discover that that there's a high world sitting on top of an STC drive and they had mech just go all right these let's just remove the high world and we've got from space so it's a pretty consistent problem where they just keep motoring also [SPEAKER_01]: The straw back is just a smidge. [SPEAKER_01]: Remember, AI is punishable by death period. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you use fully. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not augmented. [SPEAKER_01]: Use fully, I. It is a shoot on site, especially for the English issue. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know it's not AI. [SPEAKER_00]: or maybe is AI? [SPEAKER_00]: What's sitting in the knock-to-slavery on Mars? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess that's not AI. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just go through it. [SPEAKER_00]: From the inquisition standpoint, we've got a group of people who don't worship the Emperor, openly worship another god of the Emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: Horde Zeno technology, big time, murder the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, Horde, you know, the chaos of technology. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wait, though, there's one more thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, the high level in position knows about this. [SPEAKER_00]: There is a laberant on the surface of Mars. [SPEAKER_00]: It's called a laberant because it's, it's got a weird look. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's a honeycomb. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a honeycomb, but it's, it looks like it was, it's like it was made by, I'm doing air quotes here. [SPEAKER_00]: Volcanic activity because it's made of stone. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not, it's not made of so not. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not elaborate. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not made of metal and wall. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a actual thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's passages and inside it, it's rumored that the passages inside of it are so toxic and irradiated that you would actually melt your skin if you walked into them. [SPEAKER_01]: except for the fact that they're actually delightful. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're actually perfectly safe. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's no problem in it. [SPEAKER_00]: The ad Mac and a few members of the Inquisition actually know what's inside of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so go down there a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a seat there. [SPEAKER_00]: It is it is it is a full blown. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, the pausing is because people don't [SPEAKER_01]: We have to do that. [SPEAKER_01]: We have to point out everybody that plays Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_01]: You are used to playing with a shard, a broken, tiny piece. [SPEAKER_00]: A miniscule fortune. [SPEAKER_00]: This one is called Magla Droth and it's a void dragon. [SPEAKER_00]: that is somehow, now, fun stories, we don't know how it got there. [SPEAKER_00]: The rumor is at one point the emperor went to Mars, probably during one of the many times he wasn't being helpful to humanity. [SPEAKER_00]: And in prison said, boy, dragon. [SPEAKER_00]: And said nothing about it because he's a dick. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just just jammed it there. [SPEAKER_01]: Just bad dad. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this void dragon inside of Mars carries all of the knowledge of the necrons and the necrontyr. [SPEAKER_00]: And every now and then, the ad-meck wandered down there and ciphons some more knowledge out of there. [SPEAKER_01]: They're basically poking with a stick. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I make make me a new gun giant dragon thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, which is crazy because I'm going to the game. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing that costs in a two thousand point game costs three hundred of your points and will kill things is a lack of skin of this. [SPEAKER_00]: Of this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that is what's killing your the thing that you're super mad about that you couldn't kill in the game is a [SPEAKER_00]: little piece that I just really like this because we're talking about a planet that's one ring away from Terra has a being in it that could eat the sun in a second. [SPEAKER_00]: That is what they used to do and it's just trapped inside of a laborer and probably maybe and the most it's full of technology and the most unreliable people with said technology. [SPEAKER_00]: One's in charge of it. [SPEAKER_01]: The guys that are definitely splitting up in a horror movie and looking for the killer. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: For sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Are in charge. [SPEAKER_00]: They're attractive. [SPEAKER_00]: And my favorite part is you know who knows it's there. [SPEAKER_00]: The inquisition. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And just don't know what to do about it. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what they do about it is the inquisition recognized. [SPEAKER_00]: It's nothing. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they do something. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's effectively not. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is something I like the inquisition more than Brad does. [SPEAKER_00]: I enjoy the inclusion. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're good people, but I enjoy them. [SPEAKER_01]: I like Eisenhorn. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And the rest of the incositions. [SPEAKER_00]: I agree. [SPEAKER_00]: So what the English isn't realized, they've got a huge problem. [SPEAKER_00]: If they were to just do what they want to do, which is kill every member of the admec, the impairment collapse on itself. [SPEAKER_00]: They need the admec. [SPEAKER_01]: They would also release this. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's still so simple. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't exist. [SPEAKER_00]: That thing would get released also. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they could win a war. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you could actually win a war against the admec. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they would blow up the sole system. [SPEAKER_00]: They look, they look every plant on. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just saying, even if the void dragon before it decides to scare the sun, they would just blow it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So what they, so the inquisitions goal is to kind of just bother the ad man can kind of deflect them from their worst things. [SPEAKER_00]: So the first thing the equation wants to do is kind of infiltrate the knowledge banks of the ad max to know what are these guys up to and let's stop them before they do something. [SPEAKER_01]: They do a great job on this, but they also have stories and they try to actually infiltrate the ad man. [SPEAKER_00]: and they do such a badge out of it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the fun part. [SPEAKER_00]: So the English and their goal is let's learn what the AdMec is up to. [SPEAKER_00]: And the term is they kind of prune the most dangerous path. [SPEAKER_01]: But they also have guys that do the Bishemi. [SPEAKER_01]: Hello fellow high school students. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I also, he's wearing a mask. [SPEAKER_00]: He bought the Halloween store. [SPEAKER_01]: It's so bad. [SPEAKER_00]: I also am robot. [SPEAKER_00]: It's nice having, it's delicious having, you know, people, people, robots stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, no man, like, and they go, yeah, that's another dude. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, another dude from the Inquisition. [SPEAKER_01]: But by the way, the both parties know that they're doing, this is old school. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this shadow. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, this will be, so let's dive in that. [SPEAKER_00]: So it becomes a shadow because the problem is, [SPEAKER_00]: As much as the Inquisitions, we know the AdMec are really up to. [SPEAKER_00]: The AdMec secretly have always been. [SPEAKER_00]: The AdMec are fully aware of the equations looking at them. [SPEAKER_00]: They also, the AdMec made. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is where it's funny. [SPEAKER_00]: All of the technology that the Inquisition is using to spy on the AdMec. [SPEAKER_00]: was made by the ad Mac. [SPEAKER_01]: So they just give them false. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just like such a spy on spy. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, I'm going. [SPEAKER_01]: We all on that spy versus spy. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's a map. [SPEAKER_00]: I can say magazine. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's we're in the nineties, Brad. [SPEAKER_00]: We're. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's actually I think there might be eighties actually. [SPEAKER_01]: You're right. [SPEAKER_00]: It started the eighties, but it was there in the nineties. [SPEAKER_00]: So this ends up being actually quite fun. [SPEAKER_00]: The part that's really funny is that this shadow war not everyone's aware of it though. [SPEAKER_00]: So the upper echelons of the ad meck and the upper echelons of the of the inquisition, both are perfectly aware that this shadow war is going on fine, but the lower tier people don't. [SPEAKER_00]: If when it's happening eventually, some inquisitor either gets too close and gets wiped out by the ad. [SPEAKER_01]: It's only they went out. [SPEAKER_01]: They wipe out everybody that he worked with to make sure that nobody else finds out about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Or the inquisitor knows this is coming in wipes out a key piece of the ad Mac who are doing some research in his unit technology, which then results in a counterattack from the other side, which all suddenly ends with everyone being dead. [SPEAKER_00]: because the head of the ad neck and the head of the inquisition just just went just hold each other in a phone and we're like, yeah, kill him. [SPEAKER_00]: And it just wiped it out like all right. [SPEAKER_01]: Like my, by the way, my dad on this. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, I didn't let Eric know before he got too far. [SPEAKER_01]: We, we know we're only supposed to go so far away. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, and this happens by the way all the time. [SPEAKER_00]: planets, ships, all in just disappear, because they conflict breaks out between the two of them. [SPEAKER_00]: And the issue is like, if the regular members of the inquisition knew how bad the ad-meck were, they might do something about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, enough. [SPEAKER_00]: Or are you making a whole dog over the next week? [SPEAKER_00]: Sisters. [SPEAKER_00]: Imagine if the sisters, if the sort of found out some of the sisters would wreck them. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe someone mentions the Logan Grimnar with the ad-meck's doing? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: He's on his way. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be on the sisters. [SPEAKER_00]: The sisters, the bigger problems. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, this is where they're also, or the right night, sister. [SPEAKER_00]: No, because the grand, the grand at least are more like, whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: You could explain to the grandites. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: This sister, like, I don't care if the galaxy burns their heretics. [SPEAKER_00]: We're doing this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, great night still have pragmatism. [SPEAKER_01]: Where do they want to achieve the goal? [SPEAKER_01]: Sisters don't care. [SPEAKER_01]: If you kill this, we're going to lose. [SPEAKER_01]: No, heretics can't be alive. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I will laugh though. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's do some fun ones though, because one of the things I'll deliver by the ad Mac is that they will do anything for a technology. [SPEAKER_00]: Anything, yep, anything. [SPEAKER_00]: And there are some really funny stories about this. [SPEAKER_01]: I love these in really funny stories. [SPEAKER_01]: They're all horrific. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I also, by the way, again, being with the inquisition that we're talking about, we're totally right. [SPEAKER_00]: So there was a, there's a planet that the ad-mic realized had a bunch of technology they wanted, but it was in conflict. [SPEAKER_00]: So they decided to do was they created an org wall. [SPEAKER_00]: on the planet, because if the orcs were fighting, they wouldn't pay attention to this like random part of it. [SPEAKER_01]: They just wanted to go to what it's a temple. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They wanted to go to a temple and they started or while on the other side of the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: So they were in which it killed the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: But that's like also the system. [SPEAKER_00]: It took [SPEAKER_00]: three centuries to put down the org wall that the admex started, also they could just loot some catacombs. [SPEAKER_01]: They they basically found a PlayStation one game going to it went. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sweet Dragon Warrior three. [SPEAKER_01]: That moves on. [SPEAKER_00]: Another one was like the ademek, there were three STCs on a planet. [SPEAKER_00]: They get there, discover that the necrons are there, eight-year war. [SPEAKER_00]: With the acrons, but they succeeded. [SPEAKER_00]: The three STCs were a self-heating crockpot, a way to make an auto-quill. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, they did find a bolt around that melts sandwich as it was. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about the article. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because people will know what it is. [SPEAKER_01]: It is legitimately a scribe program that will just auto dictate what you're saying. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: My favorite one though, and I don't know which book this is out of, is a planet called Hydra Corgadas. [SPEAKER_00]: This is how messed up the ad, my car. [SPEAKER_00]: There was ancient technology there that was incredibly forbidden. [SPEAKER_00]: So they got a bunch of guardsmen to dig it up for them. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the guardsmen are digging up them, what it is. [SPEAKER_00]: But they're told, hey, this planet's really dangerous. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to use some anti-radiation pills so that you don't succumb to the radio. [SPEAKER_01]: For shadowing, it was not. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They were actually a slow acting poison that they were giving them because in this way, they would never live long enough to tell anyone of the next group would come in and they would call it all radiation poisoning. [SPEAKER_00]: So they poisoned tens of thousands of of them. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, phase three of space brain two. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're getting to space. [SPEAKER_00]: If you guys are playing space, I don't want to ruin it because the game's only at time of recording the game's barely a month and a half. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this happens. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, this is this is a key part of it. [SPEAKER_00]: You'll discover the admec are happy to embrace some of your aggressive. [SPEAKER_00]: No technology. [SPEAKER_01]: The dress of losses. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That being said, with the admec, I also wanted we just talked about how bad they are that, you know, [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you don't want to see all the children. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm jumping on my soapbox there for this. [SPEAKER_01]: The reason that the Imperium puts up with their shit is, oh, I'm sorry, who produces the best way? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the idea. [SPEAKER_00]: I feel back, I feel like we just spent like thirty or forty minutes talking about how the ad mega terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to also point out that the entire Imperium would have fallen to any one of the enemies, even the towel, honestly, if it wasn't for the end of the time. [SPEAKER_00]: But the tell if the imperium didn't have the ad Mac, tell weaponry would have just wrecked a hundred percent. [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing left. [SPEAKER_00]: The imperium does not exist, though, the ad Mac. [SPEAKER_00]: So as bad as the ad Mac are in the sense of that, yeah, they are lobotomizing people and radiating worlds and doing horrible things. [SPEAKER_00]: But they're keeping you in [SPEAKER_00]: the best tech that you have. [SPEAKER_00]: We the imperial wins. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a bad way. [SPEAKER_00]: If I put the imperial wins battles and wars, because of the admec, the imperial is able to actually resub, it's what I love the same admec ships that land on your planet and irradiate it for an STC drive are the ships that thanks them other plants get goods because of all the war drives and as much of the forge worlds are nightmares, they are [SPEAKER_00]: So damn fish. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean that nightmare true, but if you're not on that forge world and like the orcs invade the reason the space marines can push the orcs back Is he like the why do we have a billion melt-a-guns? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, because this is happening. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's because you played Spacel's jackass Those were last kind of no, it was melted was it melted? [SPEAKER_01]: I was twenty I had twenty eight melted mega and then I make [SPEAKER_01]: Thirty-five. [SPEAKER_01]: Thunderhead. [SPEAKER_00]: For those of you who knew to the game and you're playing space wolves and you're why aren't they very good? [SPEAKER_00]: Brad, Brad's why. [SPEAKER_00]: You're welcome, Brad, Brad, Brad ruined that army. [SPEAKER_01]: I crush that. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I just, as bad as I think the ad mech are, it from a, let me tell you, the ethic standpoint, they're also maybe the most important faction in the impairing period. [SPEAKER_00]: There's, there's, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, don't belittle my arbytes. [SPEAKER_01]: There's some point that's the fun to pay. [SPEAKER_01]: Sure. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you go add back supply everything so they're probably the most important. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to belittle the Marines because, of course, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The Liberia doesn't exist without Marines. [SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually, I will get grief from you. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: I think, guard, I think guard and more important the Marine. [SPEAKER_01]: Guard are more important with making the Appearum exist after the fight, the fight the Marine. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a hundred thousand Marines. [SPEAKER_01]: And they kick the shit out of people. [SPEAKER_00]: Please make more guard. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I don't play. [SPEAKER_00]: When we get to the sister's cast, I'll make my point a lot clear in the fact that turns out you actually don't need a black therapist for power armor. [SPEAKER_00]: The custodians already said that. [SPEAKER_00]: The custodians are also genetically enhanced. [SPEAKER_01]: These ones are just genetically enhanced is mad that you compared it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a treat. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: What did you say? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm no constone. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Those of you who like that make, as you can probably, we're wrapping up now and you're saying, well, what about call? [SPEAKER_00]: What about these guys? [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to get into call and because he is a pseudo-herty, he's a heretic, but we're going to get his rise. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do a deeper dive later in the thirteenth black crusade. [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why you're going to hear, sometimes we would cover those characters here. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like thirty minutes on call minimum. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's also, I could do thirty minutes on call and Bobby G's interaction. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: So we're not even the characters themselves. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're going to push them out to another cast on life and dive in on that one. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you kind of are hoping that here, sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: Next week, though, we're going to dive into a faction that I have a love hate relationship with, which is the adaptive souritas. [SPEAKER_00]: Most of you guys, I love them as a faction. [SPEAKER_00]: I find incredible plot holes in their lore, and you're going to hear about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So, show it out. [SPEAKER_00]: Until then, this has been John Barisade and Brad Jester. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy. [SPEAKER_00]: See you next week.
