<v Speaker 1>Welcome on into the Nontendo Podcast. My name is Wood.
<v Speaker 1>I'm joined once again by Nathaniel Bandy.
<v Speaker 2>What's up.
<v Speaker 1>Thanks so much for being here, Buddy, I really appreciate you.
<v Speaker 1>And we're talking about that Nintendo direct, the one that
<v Speaker 1>nobody expected and yet somehow still had expectations for.
<v Speaker 2>It was one of the weirdest directs ever in confusing,
<v Speaker 2>in like in so many different ways, like some of
<v Speaker 2>the announcements, how they ended the direct. It was just weird,
<v Speaker 2>even like going into it, like five minutes before, I remember,
<v Speaker 2>I was streaming and I was wondering, like, am I
<v Speaker 2>supposed to be excited for this director? I have any
<v Speaker 2>expectations at all. It was just a weird, weird direct.
<v Speaker 1>Today it was weird, and I want to talk about
<v Speaker 1>all of it. Yeah, one thing, I got so many thoughts,
<v Speaker 1>but you're right, it was really weird pacing showing Metroid
<v Speaker 1>at ten minutes. It was like, oh, that's so sick.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder what the one more thing is? Then if
<v Speaker 1>you're already showing more Metroid gameplay, but then the one
<v Speaker 1>the one more thing was well, some people are excited.
<v Speaker 2>Well it was. It wasn't even just one more thing.
<v Speaker 2>They pulled the one more thing twice. Yeah, I know.
<v Speaker 2>That was like, here's one more thing, tell about your life.
<v Speaker 2>Oh wait a minute, here's one more thing.
<v Speaker 1>Here's another one more thing.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah that was weird.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was weird.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 1>So here's the whole situation for listeners of the show.
<v Speaker 1>Kim is immensely pregnant. Today was supposed to be me
<v Speaker 1>setting up and doing the podcast with Kim, and she
<v Speaker 1>just doesn't feel good right now. So I messaged Nathaniel.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, hey, do you are you free? Can
<v Speaker 1>you jump on? You want to do the show with me?
<v Speaker 1>So we slapped it together last second. Huge thank you
<v Speaker 1>to you, Nathaniel for I don't know where I'd be
<v Speaker 1>without you. I'd be talking to myself.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, I appreciate the infight. No, I love doing stuff
<v Speaker 2>like this. This is fun.
<v Speaker 1>You were saying that. I know you got up early
<v Speaker 1>and you watched and I think reacted to the direct
<v Speaker 1>and then you passed out.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, basically, I'll very very briefly, I got my
<v Speaker 2>tetanus shot yesterday and last night my arm was getting
<v Speaker 2>really really achy and it was starting to make me
<v Speaker 2>feel bad too, So I got like, you know, a
<v Speaker 2>solid four hours of sleep. I was up at like
<v Speaker 2>four in the morning last night. I laid in bed
<v Speaker 2>for two hours. I just could not sleep, like, you
<v Speaker 2>know whatever, I'll do the direct and then I'm going
<v Speaker 2>back to bed. And that's exactly what ended up happening.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I get that way. I mean I didn't have
<v Speaker 1>a shot, but I get that way before if there's
<v Speaker 1>something in the morning, like I know there's a direct
<v Speaker 1>or something I got to get up for that I'm
<v Speaker 1>excited about. I have such a hot time sleeping, like
<v Speaker 1>my brain just can't tone off. I'm just wondering the
<v Speaker 1>whole time, and there's a pot of me that's like,
<v Speaker 1>am I gonna sleep in? Did I set enough alarms?
<v Speaker 1>So I just I can't fully relax YouTube.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean that that's how I am to It's
<v Speaker 2>gonna be worse next week because next week, I know
<v Speaker 2>next week one of the most important days this I know.
<v Speaker 1>I'm so excited. I don't have my little button chat.
<v Speaker 1>I usually have a little button that has the final
<v Speaker 1>day countdown, but I I think it's literally like six days.
<v Speaker 1>I think, yeah, and this is the last time I
<v Speaker 1>could have done that final countdown to just picture that
<v Speaker 1>Jajong six days and then we get the actual April
<v Speaker 1>second full look at the Nintendo Switch to Obviously we're
<v Speaker 1>hoping to see more hardware gimmick features if it has any,
<v Speaker 1>definitely any software side features, and then what the launch
<v Speaker 1>games and launch window and all of that. And then
<v Speaker 1>two days later I am going to New York April
<v Speaker 1>fourth to do the hands on event, which is in
<v Speaker 1>eight days, so in almost a week. I can't believe
<v Speaker 1>how quickly it's come about. In a week.
<v Speaker 2>It's going to happen so fast, I know, and I'm
<v Speaker 2>going as well, but I'm going on the sixth of
<v Speaker 2>April instead, I know.
<v Speaker 1>Actually I forgot later, I forgot you told me that
<v Speaker 1>you have it as well. That's so crazy, And you're
<v Speaker 1>going on the fourth and you said you're hanging around
<v Speaker 1>for a few days.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna be doing some filming for another video on
<v Speaker 2>the fifth of April, and then you know, the sixth,
<v Speaker 2>it'll just be the switch two day. I'm gonna go
<v Speaker 2>in there. Hopefully we're allowed to film something. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know how that's gonna go, honestly, I'll probably be watching
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of like streams.
<v Speaker 1>Oh sorry, about that.
<v Speaker 2>There we go.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, sorry about that.
<v Speaker 2>That's okay. Now on the fourth, I'm probably watching a
<v Speaker 2>bunch of people at the switch To event and hoping
<v Speaker 2>that we're allowed to the film or at least at
<v Speaker 2>the very least take photos of what we'll be playing.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I was gonna say, like, do you want to
<v Speaker 1>meet up on the fourth since we'll both be there anyway?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, i'd be down. I'm gonna be there probably
<v Speaker 2>like sometime in the afternoon, right, I guess, mm hmm, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that'd be cool.
<v Speaker 1>I My brain is in a million places. Man, I'm
<v Speaker 1>so excited. I'm just uh right now, I'm sharing this
<v Speaker 1>podcast to the main video I posted today. Oh perfect,
<v Speaker 1>So I feel free to free to keep talking?
<v Speaker 2>All right?
<v Speaker 1>Do you want to dive straight in to this direct
<v Speaker 1>and kind of break it down and look through it
<v Speaker 1>a bit?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? I know we could. We could definitely do that.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I guess we could. We could go in order,
<v Speaker 2>we could just kind of jump around.
<v Speaker 1>But we can do whatever you want.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Well, I guess we'll go in order. But like this, again,
<v Speaker 2>this is such a weird direct. It didn't really feel
<v Speaker 2>that structure to begin with. Like the first party stuff
<v Speaker 2>did not show like the first party stuff kind of
<v Speaker 2>showed up when you would expect it. But at the
<v Speaker 2>same time, it just felt somethings just felt like this
<v Speaker 2>should have happened later, like the Prime four stuff. Why
<v Speaker 2>was that the first ten minutes you would expect to
<v Speaker 2>be like the end of the trailer, right.
<v Speaker 1>I know it was. It was a bit bizarre. I
<v Speaker 1>mean again, it came out of no way. This is
<v Speaker 1>number one trending on gaming. It it does feel like
<v Speaker 1>they had some extra announcements that they just wanted to
<v Speaker 1>get out there before the switch to is officially the
<v Speaker 1>new thing. Cause like, yeah, I don't want to say
<v Speaker 1>no one's gonna care about Switch one stuff after six
<v Speaker 1>days from now, but it is very much gonna feel
<v Speaker 1>like that, like we're in the last window here of
<v Speaker 1>the Switch one kind of having the main relevancy. So
<v Speaker 1>it does seem like they just wanted to get this
<v Speaker 1>stuff out here. One thing that I noticed that was
<v Speaker 1>a bit odd for something that is focusing on Switch
<v Speaker 1>one stuff mostly coming this year is a lot of
<v Speaker 1>it was just twenty twenty five, and some of it
<v Speaker 1>even twenty twenty six without too many dates.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not gonna lie, I was surprised to see Pokemon
<v Speaker 2>because you would think they would have shown all that
<v Speaker 2>stuff during the Pokemon Data Act last month.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think I think it's just I think it's
<v Speaker 1>just wanting to like beef this out more, just to
<v Speaker 1>puff it up with even more like first party, like,
<v Speaker 1>here's the big stuff. Now, pay attention again to this
<v Speaker 1>little indie game where pac Man is your sidekick.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay, that game actually kind of sick though.
<v Speaker 1>That game, Yeah, I know, it did look really Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we've seen that before somewhere other event, so I.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I was trying to remember when I was watching.
<v Speaker 2>I think it was the Game Awards. I'm pretty sure
<v Speaker 2>we saw it at the Game Awards.
<v Speaker 1>It was some other live event. I don't remember which one,
<v Speaker 1>but yeah, you're probably right. Okay, So we have a
<v Speaker 1>look at the dragon Quest one and two HD two
<v Speaker 1>D remake, which I believe we've already had. The third one,
<v Speaker 1>and the third one is technically the first one in
<v Speaker 1>the Cannon storyline. That's why they did the third one first.
<v Speaker 1>Now his one and two, they seem to hint on
<v Speaker 1>a new character being added this one here. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know much about Dragon Quest.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know anything. The only thing I remember is
<v Speaker 2>I'm pretty sure the one in two hdre remix were
<v Speaker 2>teased during the last erect Yeah, they had like the title,
<v Speaker 2>So starting it with gameplay, I mean, that's a solid way.
<v Speaker 1>To start a direct It's a gorgeous game. I actually
<v Speaker 1>I made a whole video recently about Pokemon and their graphics,
<v Speaker 1>and one of the comments I saw that I found
<v Speaker 1>interesting was someone said they kind of wish that game
<v Speaker 1>Freak just did Pokemon games like this, like when they
<v Speaker 1>when they moved from you know, the three DS and
<v Speaker 1>the sprites, rather than trying to tackle these big, open world,
<v Speaker 1>realistic games, they just kind of emerge it and they
<v Speaker 1>do the pixel sprites with realistic environments like this. Although,
<v Speaker 1>to be honest, it's not the characters and the sprites
<v Speaker 1>that Pokemon have an issue with, because the Pokemon and
<v Speaker 1>characters look pretty good. It's the backgrounds, sir.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's everything else. Yeah. Yeah, game game performance as well.
<v Speaker 2>I mean that's one of the biggest problems.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So actually, now I'm thinking about it, they probably
<v Speaker 1>couldn't even pull this off.
<v Speaker 2>It's just I mean, maybe like the performance would be
<v Speaker 2>better though, if they use simpler graphics so plus like
<v Speaker 2>it would be nostalgic, Like I would love to play
<v Speaker 2>a Pokemon game in this.
<v Speaker 1>It would look it would go so hard, I mean
<v Speaker 1>even to get like a like a. We haven't had
<v Speaker 1>a Gold and Silver remake yet, have we? Imagine?
<v Speaker 2>No, I think that's that's gonna happen like next year.
<v Speaker 1>Imagine gold and Silver in this art style. Ah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that would be awesome. All right, we got to keep moving,
<v Speaker 1>okay Ai the some minim miniminem files.
<v Speaker 2>So omnium files.
<v Speaker 1>I think, Oh, before we get too carried away with this,
<v Speaker 1>what did you tell me right before we went live
<v Speaker 1>with the game?
<v Speaker 2>Cuts with the game? Are we talking about the virtual game? Oh? So, basically,
<v Speaker 2>there's been confirmation on Nintendo's website that there are going
<v Speaker 2>to be Nintendo switch to editions of games. So there's
<v Speaker 2>going to be Switched one editions and switch to editions
<v Speaker 2>at least in a physical form. So I'm assuming we're
<v Speaker 2>going to be able to upgrade our Switch one games
<v Speaker 2>to switch to, whether that's free or we have to
<v Speaker 2>pay a little bit for that, but that was confirmed
<v Speaker 2>on Nintendo's website. I just saw before we started.
<v Speaker 1>Where is that can you show me that. I'd love
<v Speaker 1>to bring that up.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, if I could try to find it on the website.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, the tweet, it's just like a little.
<v Speaker 1>Excerpt from from who from actual errow actual? Err actual?
<v Speaker 1>Who is that? Is that a guy?
<v Speaker 2>I think he's like a YouTuber or something.
<v Speaker 1>I don't I can't find that.
<v Speaker 2>Oh actual A E R O A E. It just
<v Speaker 2>it just like randomly showed up my feed. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>See oh this, Yeah, I've seen this account before. Yep
<v Speaker 1>Ooh okay, okay, wait hold on, let me sure this.
<v Speaker 2>So, yes, that was the tweet. Uh. Yeah, again. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know what what game this is relating to, but
<v Speaker 2>the fact that it's on Nintended's website is is pretty exciting.
<v Speaker 1>Nintender Switch to Edition game. Is this what I'm reading?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm sir.
<v Speaker 1>Let me read the whole thing available on the tenor
<v Speaker 1>Switch Switch Light and Switch or LED models. A system
<v Speaker 1>update is required. Compatible systems must be linked on the
<v Speaker 1>switch to use virtual game cards, then Tendor Switch to
<v Speaker 1>exclusive games, and then Tenor Switch to addition, games can
<v Speaker 1>only be loaded on a Nintender Switch two system.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, it's about the virtual game cards.
<v Speaker 1>This is about the virtual game cards. Yea, then I
<v Speaker 1>switch to addition games. Well that's an interesting wording though,
<v Speaker 1>and then I switch to addition games could only be
<v Speaker 1>loaded and the two system. Okay, so I guess they're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have like switch to versus. So it's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>like a like a PS four or a PS five game.
<v Speaker 1>They released the same thing, but there's different versions.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it must be the console. It might be like that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And there's there's a couple of ways of thinking
<v Speaker 1>about it. There's just one way. It's just wordage, I guess.
<v Speaker 1>So it could be like them just saying, hey, if
<v Speaker 1>if there's an exclusive switch to game that can only
<v Speaker 1>be loaded on a switch to system, you know, something
<v Speaker 1>that's like the new Mario Kart for example, or I
<v Speaker 1>switched to editions. So like you have Metroid four, you
<v Speaker 1>have the switch one edition and the switch to edition
<v Speaker 1>and the Switch two editions probably gonna look and play better.
<v Speaker 2>And I you know, I think for a lot of
<v Speaker 2>the games we saw today, like Rhythm have been tomadacir Life,
<v Speaker 2>they're probably gonna have switch one and switch to editions
<v Speaker 2>as well.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean because they're releasing, right, because they're releasing
<v Speaker 1>so late. I mean unless yeah, I mean, like Rhythm
<v Speaker 1>Heaven is such a basic game. I wonder if you
<v Speaker 1>even need to have two editions or it's just the
<v Speaker 1>same addition that works on both. But it's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>really interesting to see how they handle this. We haven't
<v Speaker 1>had I don't think we've had much experience with let me,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if I'm if I'm not thinking clearly,
<v Speaker 1>but much experience with a console generation like step up
<v Speaker 1>where it's just completely incorporating the previous one. Other than
<v Speaker 1>like DS and three DS, the game Boy line, I
<v Speaker 1>guess game Boy, game Boy, everything's backwards compatible, but even
<v Speaker 1>then that that's not actually it's like completely true. There
<v Speaker 1>was a couple of game Boy and game Boy Color
<v Speaker 1>games that were kind of worked like this. I know
<v Speaker 1>warriol In two was playable on game Boy and game
<v Speaker 1>Boy Color. Oh, that's interesting, I think.
<v Speaker 2>Uh. There was also Links Awakening on game Boy and
<v Speaker 2>the Deluxe version on game Boy Color. M oh, I
<v Speaker 2>can't think of many more examples beyond that.
<v Speaker 1>Definitely Nintendo focused examples. And we're in such a different
<v Speaker 1>time now with like power and graphics and expectations. It's
<v Speaker 1>is gonna be so interesting to see how they handle
<v Speaker 1>this this merge over. Yeah, okay, it still begs the
<v Speaker 1>question about will we have a physical Metroid prime for
<v Speaker 1>for Switch and one for Switch to Switch too.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, we'll probably find out next onesday.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, I can't wait.
<v Speaker 2>I know. Yeah, I'm excited. I'm very, very excited.
<v Speaker 1>Someone told someone on my chat was like when I
<v Speaker 1>was live, like, did you realize I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>I'm repeating this because they were wrong, but they were like,
<v Speaker 1>did you realize that any game that was releasing before
<v Speaker 1>June sixteenth they said it was on Nintendo Switch, but
<v Speaker 1>after June twenty seventh they said on the Switch family
<v Speaker 1>of systems, kind of implying this like a space Yeah. Really,
<v Speaker 1>But then like I watched it back while I was
<v Speaker 1>making my video and it's just wrong. Like the very
<v Speaker 1>first game is that Dragon Quest and it's July twenty fifth,
<v Speaker 1>and they were like releasing on Nintendo Switch. So I
<v Speaker 1>was like, oh, you were just lying, you just made
<v Speaker 1>something up then.
<v Speaker 2>Or he just he just like didn't pay that much
<v Speaker 2>attime he might have noticed for like two games, like
<v Speaker 2>oh wow, every game after.
<v Speaker 1>June is there was probably a couple of a couple
<v Speaker 1>games where that lined up. It's in his credit.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 1>So I've never played or seen AI Solemn Files, so
<v Speaker 1>I don't I don't really know what this is all about.
<v Speaker 2>I've heard of the franchise, I I don't know anything
<v Speaker 2>about it. There's a lot of these games that we
<v Speaker 2>saw that I've like heard of them, I've just never
<v Speaker 2>tried them.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, this whole a lot of ninety percent of this
<v Speaker 1>direct was things I don't care about. But it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>so I didn't even know this was happening until yesterday.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I was locked in on the next one.
<v Speaker 1>This is just the pregame, it's pre game exactly I've
<v Speaker 1>been I've been so checked out.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, this morning I made the analogy that like what
<v Speaker 2>we're doing, what we're in right now, is we're like
<v Speaker 2>an hour before the super Bowl and we're just listening
<v Speaker 2>it to the commentators predict what's going to happen.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what it feels like. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've
<v Speaker 1>been so checked out on Switch one. It's like I'm
<v Speaker 1>just kind of over. I'm just ready for Switch too.
<v Speaker 1>So to get more now is like okay, yeah, fine, cool,
<v Speaker 1>it's cool. Add to the library, make it the library
<v Speaker 1>more impressive, Like I love.
<v Speaker 2>It as long as you can play them on switch too.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that's totally fine with me.
<v Speaker 1>I also I want to go through I want to
<v Speaker 1>try and get through this because I want to go
<v Speaker 1>through the comments on my video reaction that I uploaded today,
<v Speaker 1>because I I tried to explain how the switch cartridge
<v Speaker 1>thing works now to my understanding, and there are people
<v Speaker 1>already replying pointing out examples of ways that it's worse
<v Speaker 1>and worse. So my immediate I don't want to get
<v Speaker 1>to let me actually let me pull it up because
<v Speaker 1>my brain's going on is a minute. There's no reason
<v Speaker 1>to go in a little, I guess, so.
<v Speaker 2>To be fair, the way they explained it was pretty confusing.
<v Speaker 2>It took me. It was very confused, and they like
<v Speaker 2>really over explained it, and they didn't. It's just it's
<v Speaker 2>just like you know, game sharing, Like it's not anything
<v Speaker 2>more crazy than that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was very confusing the way they explained it. Also,
<v Speaker 1>if you like, if you pause the video and you
<v Speaker 1>slow down and stuff, uh, there's little captions that pop
<v Speaker 1>up that explain a little bit more that go by
<v Speaker 1>so quickly that like this context that you need, and
<v Speaker 1>they just tried to put it on screen.
<v Speaker 2>I'm surprised they didn't talk about this during the Switch
<v Speaker 2>two direct next week. This seems like a Switch too
<v Speaker 2>thing to bring up, but I guess it's gonna work
<v Speaker 2>with Switch one as well, the new system No, the
<v Speaker 2>virtual game cards, yeah yeah, yeah yeah. It just felt
<v Speaker 2>like something that was for Switch to but like you know,
<v Speaker 2>there's no reason they can't do it for Switch one
<v Speaker 2>as well. It just it just fell out of place.
<v Speaker 2>That was like the main thing.
<v Speaker 1>So here's the comments on my video. I was trying
<v Speaker 1>to find the one that I saw initially, but someone
<v Speaker 1>was like, here's something that he was thinking of. So
<v Speaker 1>before you could have your digital game on any console, right,
<v Speaker 1>so you could do it on both. And people are
<v Speaker 1>kind of talking about how, well now it's better because
<v Speaker 1>you can transfer and then it'll work on your primary
<v Speaker 1>no matter what. But this guy pointed out that before
<v Speaker 1>you could have forty switches and you could have the
<v Speaker 1>game downloaded on forty switches at once.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think that's true.
<v Speaker 1>I think it is. I just don't know how playable
<v Speaker 1>it is on all those consoles.
<v Speaker 2>Like I know you can download them on other switches,
<v Speaker 2>but I'm pretty sure once you start to play them
<v Speaker 2>it the the non primary console, it starts to get
<v Speaker 2>a little walky. Sometimes the game won't work. It like
<v Speaker 2>wants you to log in as the primary console.
<v Speaker 1>So maybe we should maybe we should watch that part
<v Speaker 1>of the video.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so I've confused about it. It's not even a
<v Speaker 2>complicated concept. I don't say it really wordy.
<v Speaker 1>Can you hear this? Probably not right.
<v Speaker 2>With game card? No, I don't have I mean you
<v Speaker 2>can put it.
<v Speaker 3>Featuring in this Nintendo switch system and a legend of
<v Speaker 3>Zelda game in this one.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Okay, so I'm with him so far. He said
<v Speaker 1>you can put Mario in this one and Zelder in
<v Speaker 1>this one. That yeah, got it easy?
<v Speaker 2>You can. You can even swap the card.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, imagine flexible.
<v Speaker 3>And convenient as game cards.
<v Speaker 2>I also love the one two switch, Like, oh yeah,
<v Speaker 2>someone's playing one two switch still right? Yeah, no, one is.
<v Speaker 1>It's funny because here he says, we wanted to make
<v Speaker 1>the digital as easy, as easy to use and flexible
<v Speaker 1>as physical, which they're honestly already a little bit more
<v Speaker 1>flexible and easy to use because you don't have to
<v Speaker 1>use a cartridge. That's that's kind of the plus side
<v Speaker 1>of getting them digital is that they were digital and
<v Speaker 1>that they were a little bit more flexible. But I
<v Speaker 1>guess I get what that's talking about.
<v Speaker 2>I think that the big takeaway here is that you
<v Speaker 2>can rent games to other people.
<v Speaker 1>That is the big takeaway.
<v Speaker 2>Like for me, I have I think six or seven
<v Speaker 2>people in my uh switch online account, though I guess
<v Speaker 2>in a couple of months, if I want to play
<v Speaker 2>something on someone else's switch, I can just you know,
<v Speaker 2>download it in and I guess kind of like borrow
<v Speaker 2>it for two weeks.
<v Speaker 1>Now, are those people that it's really cool? Your friends?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so that's well, I'm not not close with all
<v Speaker 2>of them. There's a few of them I'm close with,
<v Speaker 2>and then others are like friends of friends and they
<v Speaker 2>joined just to make the cost cheaper.
<v Speaker 1>That was a That was another funny thing while I
<v Speaker 1>was live is people were spat because I was like,
<v Speaker 1>you can trade with your friends, you can like borrow
<v Speaker 1>a friends games, and the chat was like, no, it's
<v Speaker 1>only family. It's only family. It's like, you guys are
<v Speaker 1>getting too focused on the word family. Like the Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>is not gonna draw a sample of blood to make
<v Speaker 1>sure you're related to the person you're borrowing a game from.
<v Speaker 1>You just add friends to your account.
<v Speaker 2>Now if your family, then you can borrow the game
<v Speaker 2>for a month instead of two weeks. Ooh, of only friends,
<v Speaker 2>that that's a two week thing. There's a big difference.
<v Speaker 1>It's only two ways. It don't be big of a commitment. Well,
<v Speaker 1>it's cool too with your friends, because I think you
<v Speaker 1>need to you need to touch the switches at some point
<v Speaker 1>to do this. But they said, once you've done that,
<v Speaker 1>then you can trade and offload and onload of a
<v Speaker 1>Wi Fi remotely anytime.
<v Speaker 2>Hmm.
<v Speaker 1>So it seems like no matter where your friends are.
<v Speaker 1>After that, you you and all your friends can switch
<v Speaker 1>and trade games all the time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. There's a friend that I'm pretty close with that's
<v Speaker 2>a part of the account. He lives like four or
<v Speaker 2>five hours away, so next time I visit, we could
<v Speaker 2>just you know, get o our switches set up to
<v Speaker 2>do this and then we have a very different taste
<v Speaker 2>in games. So honestly, it's gonna be really exciting to
<v Speaker 2>be able to like, hey, can I like download this
<v Speaker 2>or this and that or whatever, and it'll be super easy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is that is really nice, and it's definitely
<v Speaker 1>their way of trying to combat like people not buying
<v Speaker 1>digital over physical, right because like families, big households on
<v Speaker 1>lower incomes or middle incomes, they don't want to buy
<v Speaker 1>like the same game for they want they want to
<v Speaker 1>go to game stop and buy a game physical so
<v Speaker 1>that the kids can all trade it around. Right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, but this way.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't necessarily prevent you from needing to buy a
<v Speaker 1>digital in that case, because you and the whole family
<v Speaker 1>can share it around.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I think the best way I think of
<v Speaker 2>it is this is basically a virtual Blockbuster exclusively for
<v Speaker 2>your Nintendo Switch. It's kind of like that, kind of
<v Speaker 2>like that yet like in concept, that's the idea, although
<v Speaker 2>you can only trade with, you know, people on your
<v Speaker 2>your U not your friends list, people that are a
<v Speaker 2>part of your account.
<v Speaker 1>I guess why I'm confused and why people are probably
<v Speaker 1>looking at me like why you are overthinking this is
<v Speaker 1>because there there is a lot of like things you
<v Speaker 1>can do with multiple switches and multiple games and things
<v Speaker 1>I've wanted to do with that and it's never really worked.
<v Speaker 1>And there are some things I feel like this is
<v Speaker 1>going to break that did work. It's just I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what those are and I don't know if they matter.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm very curious about like multiplayer, Like will you
<v Speaker 2>still be able to play like online even when you're
<v Speaker 2>renting a game? I mean, I imagine, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>You definitely it should be fine. Somebody in my chat
<v Speaker 1>was like, do you think do you think you'll have
<v Speaker 1>to re download the game every time you get it back?
<v Speaker 1>I was like, no, no, no, no, it's no.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think so.
<v Speaker 1>No, it's it's the game is still on your console.
<v Speaker 1>You're just sending the license to somebody to allow them
<v Speaker 1>to download and play it, you know, but when you
<v Speaker 1>get it back, it just reactivates the game that's dormant
<v Speaker 1>on your system. Essentially, we can keep.
<v Speaker 2>Actually some of that. Here's an interesting idea. If you
<v Speaker 2>like rent a game from someone and then the trial
<v Speaker 2>goes away, you decide to buy it, is that gonna be?
<v Speaker 2>Is that gonna like mess things up? Like?
<v Speaker 1>That was one of the captions. It said that when
<v Speaker 1>the game goes back, it does not wipe the save.
<v Speaker 1>You keep the save.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, So I kind of figured that.
<v Speaker 1>Was And even now, like if you buy a physical
<v Speaker 1>and a digital of the same game, and you play
<v Speaker 1>either one on the same switch, it'll activate the same save.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, that's good.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, but this is why it's confusing and why
<v Speaker 1>there's so many questions about how it works, because it's like, well,
<v Speaker 1>what if this and what if that? Yeah, says any
<v Speaker 1>user registered to the system can play the game. That's
<v Speaker 1>also the way it already was, and that's great. I've
<v Speaker 1>seen some people being like someone in my chat was like, well,
<v Speaker 1>now if I download a game and my sister's on
<v Speaker 1>my account, she can play it too on my switch,
<v Speaker 1>she can play it too. And she could already do
<v Speaker 1>that though. Yeah, that was already a thing that you
<v Speaker 1>could do. But I mean, this makes it sound like
<v Speaker 1>you can like do that now for the first time,
<v Speaker 1>but you definitely could already do that.
<v Speaker 2>I guess the point is to simplify that process, just
<v Speaker 2>to make it seem like you're using an actual game card.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. I like the idea of
<v Speaker 1>having them all in the same place like this too.
<v Speaker 2>That is really nice.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, all right, let's see what else they have to
<v Speaker 1>say loading onto a second system. Okay, so this is
<v Speaker 1>where it gets a.
<v Speaker 2>Little This is where it's confusing. I agree.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, this is the confusion every day first part, fine,
<v Speaker 1>the next pat, after this pot pat, the next pot,
<v Speaker 1>after this with the family. I mean, I'm too close
<v Speaker 1>to Josie. Now this is the this is the confusing one,
<v Speaker 1>which I think I've got my head around now. But
<v Speaker 1>if you have.
<v Speaker 3>Two Nintendo Switch systems, you can eject a virtual game
<v Speaker 3>card from one and load it.
<v Speaker 2>Onto the second.
<v Speaker 1>Now down here it says an Internet connection is required
<v Speaker 1>only while loading or ejecting.
<v Speaker 2>Which is nice. Yeah, that is it doesn't have to
<v Speaker 2>be a DRM or always online.
<v Speaker 3>And whenever you want, just as if you had inserted.
<v Speaker 2>That's also kind of how it was before.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know something that I've something I was trying
<v Speaker 1>to figure out while watching This is what I've always
<v Speaker 1>kind of thought about with Nintendo in all their systems,
<v Speaker 1>is you have the switch light, and you have the
<v Speaker 1>O lead, and you have like these different models. Why
<v Speaker 1>can't you Why can't you be playing on your TV
<v Speaker 1>at home on Breath of the Wild on your account
<v Speaker 1>on your Switch O Lead and then realize, oh, I've
<v Speaker 1>got to go to the hospital. My wife's giving birth.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't want to be bored, So you grab
<v Speaker 1>your switch light out on the way out the door,
<v Speaker 1>and then you turn that on at the hospital and
<v Speaker 1>you can pick up where you left off as long
<v Speaker 1>as you have an Internet connection. Why is it like, no,
<v Speaker 1>this is your primary switch and the I count, you
<v Speaker 1>know what I mean. So I was trying to figure
<v Speaker 1>out if there was a way that this would be
<v Speaker 1>able to do that without switching primary accounts or downloading
<v Speaker 1>like having to manually do save files or using the
<v Speaker 1>cloud or like any of that. But I don't think
<v Speaker 1>that this solves any of that.
<v Speaker 2>You know, we're just gonna have to mess with it.
<v Speaker 2>I think once ever, it it does actually.
<v Speaker 1>Release, I'm making it all confusing, I know.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, for something like that, I mean, you would think
<v Speaker 2>that would work.
<v Speaker 1>Right You think you think it would to encourage you
<v Speaker 1>to buy them all consoles.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, it'd be like if you're you know, watching
<v Speaker 2>YouTube on TV and switching to your phone, it saves
<v Speaker 2>its place. M So hopefully it works like that, But
<v Speaker 2>it's I guess it's kind of it's confusing because the
<v Speaker 2>system originally started with having a primary owner, and it's
<v Speaker 2>hard if that makes an impact or not with this
<v Speaker 2>new update.
<v Speaker 1>You know what they could do They could just not
<v Speaker 1>make switches have a primary owner and as long as
<v Speaker 1>your account is lugged in, you can just use the switch.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know why they do that. Maybe to prevent
<v Speaker 2>like like piracy, like because if everyone just had like
<v Speaker 2>an account and like they shared the account, then you
<v Speaker 2>could technically give the game to like a thousand people
<v Speaker 2>or whatever.
<v Speaker 1>Well, how does it work on like PlayStation if you
<v Speaker 1>have like two PlayStation fives and you lug in on
<v Speaker 1>your you lug in your account on both and then
<v Speaker 1>you try playing your games, does it yell at you
<v Speaker 1>and be like, this isn't your primary PlayStation.
<v Speaker 2>I don't use the PS five enough to know that.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe maybe chat would be able to tell you.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, maybe it's just.
<v Speaker 1>Like, yeah, I guess what you're saying is right, But like,
<v Speaker 1>would you really want to sell your switch to somebody
<v Speaker 1>else with your account lugged in and all your games?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? That I mean that would be a problem because
<v Speaker 2>I think, like, you know, one person, if they had
<v Speaker 2>access to the account in the pass where they could
<v Speaker 2>just change the password and hoard all the games for themselves.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't think. I don't think that wouldn't think
<v Speaker 1>to anybody, So, like, just make it so I can
<v Speaker 1>use an account on all my switches and play my games,
<v Speaker 1>and then I could just download them digitally on every
<v Speaker 1>one and I wouldn't have to worry about ejecting re ejecting.
<v Speaker 1>Like that's right, all right, whatever, let's keep going.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean again, I think we're just gonna have
<v Speaker 2>to actually.
<v Speaker 1>Try it out, I know, yeah, play around with it
<v Speaker 1>and see how community.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, to actually see how it works.
<v Speaker 1>I said this in my video today, but a lot
<v Speaker 1>of people like, and someone pointed this out to me
<v Speaker 1>in my stream. A lot of people like, well, I
<v Speaker 1>only have one switch alone. You have to have one switch,
<v Speaker 1>so it doesn't matter when you buy a switch to
<v Speaker 1>you will have two switches, right, So yeah, you will
<v Speaker 1>have this option of doing this if you do want
<v Speaker 1>to do this, you know.
<v Speaker 2>You know, Originally when they first started showing this, I
<v Speaker 2>thought they were going to have some way of doing
<v Speaker 2>a like system transfer faster, because I've switched from regular
<v Speaker 2>to ol ED and it took like an entire t
<v Speaker 2>my library on there. So I was thinking, oh, is
<v Speaker 2>this like some different way, because you know, switch two
<v Speaker 2>is coming, maybe they want to make it a little
<v Speaker 2>bit more convenient to move all of our Switch one games,
<v Speaker 2>but really has nothing to do with it.
<v Speaker 1>I do with that. I'm assuming the switch to will
<v Speaker 1>work the same way in that sense where when you
<v Speaker 1>boot it up connect to the previous switch, it does
<v Speaker 1>the really long loading, it'll transfer everything over, you know,
<v Speaker 1>because for a lot of it, it has to re
<v Speaker 1>download a lot of those games.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, yeah, and I have I have a huge digital library.
<v Speaker 2>I don't have very many physical switch games.
<v Speaker 1>I got a lie I get a lot on that too.
<v Speaker 2>Ever, it's gonna takes me so long to get all
<v Speaker 2>those transferred over to switch too.
<v Speaker 1>I've watched this trailer so many times now, like this
<v Speaker 1>one part. I feel like I've got a handle on
<v Speaker 1>it nowmbers. All right, So essentially, for the family side,
<v Speaker 1>you can have up to eight people on your family
<v Speaker 1>account and you can freely they they kind of only
<v Speaker 1>show you from like this master switch like you sending
<v Speaker 1>things out. But I'm assuming they could also send you
<v Speaker 1>games from their account, like there's no reason why not,
<v Speaker 1>Like you're not like the main character here. So you
<v Speaker 1>trade three games, you could probably get a game back.
<v Speaker 1>You could probably I must maybe get a game from
<v Speaker 1>each of these people. Do you think you can do?
<v Speaker 1>You think you could house three games at once, So
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it says that.
<v Speaker 2>I think so well, Because there was a shot that
<v Speaker 2>showed a bunch of cartridges where there was like the
<v Speaker 2>big like thought bubble or whatever. We can see like
<v Speaker 2>six cartridges and five on one, So I think you
<v Speaker 2>can do multiple at once. I should.
<v Speaker 1>You have a Switch account and you have like six
<v Speaker 1>games and none of them are yours, just borrow. They
<v Speaker 1>all have countdowns on how long you have left, and
<v Speaker 1>you're frantically trying to beat them all than fourteen days.
<v Speaker 2>I mean you could do that theoretically.
<v Speaker 1>That's funny.
<v Speaker 2>You got a really nice friend that's lending you all
<v Speaker 2>these games, Like all right, you got two weeks to
<v Speaker 2>beat this, all right? And that's what I'm excited about.
<v Speaker 2>Like again, like the friend I'm thinking of, he has
<v Speaker 2>so many Switch games that I will never buy, But
<v Speaker 2>now I can just try it without having to buy it.
<v Speaker 1>That's really cool. Yeah, I don't have anybody on my account.
<v Speaker 1>Both for some strange reason, I don't know why we
<v Speaker 1>do this. Both Kim and I pay for Nintendo separately.
<v Speaker 1>We should just get on the same. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>why we do. And at that point it would be
<v Speaker 1>good because there has been multiple times that I've bought
<v Speaker 1>her whole games like Mario Wonder because I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 1>I got to play it and review it. I want
<v Speaker 1>you to have your own, and then she never opens it.
<v Speaker 1>So it would be good to have the option of
<v Speaker 1>just sending her one for fourteen days. Maybe maybe she'll
<v Speaker 1>actually play it if she feels like she's on crunch
<v Speaker 1>to play it. Yeah, all right, so I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>read this comment. It's got seventy likes. The difference is
<v Speaker 1>just two, which I don't know what that means. One,
<v Speaker 1>you could now play these games offline, which you could
<v Speaker 1>not do before since it was not your main switch. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>so on a secondary switch that's not your primary, as
<v Speaker 1>long as you connect it to the internet at some
<v Speaker 1>point and share the game over, you can play that
<v Speaker 1>game offline. It will mean that your main switch won't
<v Speaker 1>be able to play it during that time. I don't
<v Speaker 1>really know the use case for that.
<v Speaker 2>I thought that's how it worked before, like when you
<v Speaker 2>would like download to another switch, like the other person
<v Speaker 2>could not play it at the same At least it
<v Speaker 2>played it at the same time.
<v Speaker 1>No, it's not not playing at the same time. See,
<v Speaker 1>this is why it's confusing. This is exactly why it's confusing. So, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's a separate thing. So before, if you have two
<v Speaker 1>switches with the same game downloaded in the same account,
<v Speaker 1>you couldn't boot them both up at the same time. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that this doesn't fix that, And that's not what this
<v Speaker 1>is talking about. What this is saying is, if you
<v Speaker 1>have two switches, right, one's your primary, one's your secondary,
<v Speaker 1>A game's installed in both. You take your secondary with
<v Speaker 1>you out of the house. Let's say you go on
<v Speaker 1>a plane trip and you go to play the game.
<v Speaker 1>If you're offline on the plane, it'll say, this is
<v Speaker 1>your secondary switch. You can't play this connect to the internet.
<v Speaker 1>That's how it would do it before. Now, as long
<v Speaker 1>as you connected those switches and you ejected your game
<v Speaker 1>out of your main one, put it in your second one,
<v Speaker 1>took the second one on a plane, and then played
<v Speaker 1>it offline, it would let you do it now. But
<v Speaker 1>what but why why are we doing all of that?
<v Speaker 1>Why are we leaving why are we leaving the primary
<v Speaker 1>switch at home?
<v Speaker 2>I guess if you have like a family and then
<v Speaker 2>you have multiple switches. I don't know, I.
<v Speaker 1>Guess, but they could just have their own account and
<v Speaker 1>I yeah, I get I guess, I guess. Maybe there's
<v Speaker 1>a maybe there's a use case. It's just very specific.
<v Speaker 2>Two.
<v Speaker 1>If you before had an account that you shared a
<v Speaker 1>borrowed to play a game, no other could play a
<v Speaker 1>game using that account at the same time, meaning that
<v Speaker 1>you are locking people out from playing other games on
<v Speaker 1>the I am lost on the original switch. If you
<v Speaker 1>are loaning their account on yours, the virtual card will
<v Speaker 1>make it so that will not happen because they will
<v Speaker 1>because they can choose to just loan you that game
<v Speaker 1>if you are in the family, and you can play
<v Speaker 1>that borrowed game offline, just like option one.
<v Speaker 2>So that that is an improvement. Yeah, because that was
<v Speaker 2>what I was just talking about.
<v Speaker 1>Can you explain that to me, like I'm five?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so okay, So basically, imagine you got two switches. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you're down the switch number one has I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>Mario card eight. Yeah, you want switch number two to
<v Speaker 2>play Mario Kard eight. Yea with the same account. You
<v Speaker 2>can do that. You can have it downloaded with the
<v Speaker 2>old method. If you play it on switch too. You
<v Speaker 2>cannot play it on switch one at the same time.
<v Speaker 2>The difference with this, according to this comment, is that
<v Speaker 2>both people can play both versions.
<v Speaker 1>Of the game at the same time time. Yes, one
<v Speaker 1>the same one purchased game. You can't do that.
<v Speaker 2>That's I mean, that's what he's As far as i'mwhere,
<v Speaker 2>I think that's what he's explaining.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, hold on, this is an example. Example is my
<v Speaker 1>sister owns Mario Cutt digitally. I usually play it with
<v Speaker 1>my girlfriend, but if she starts, for example, Donkey Kong
<v Speaker 1>on her switch, that'll kick me out from playing Mario Kart,
<v Speaker 1>or she will not be able to start a game
<v Speaker 1>until I stop playing. With this update, that will no
<v Speaker 1>longer happen. So him and his sister are playing on
<v Speaker 1>the same account, and every time she tries to play
<v Speaker 1>on his account while he's playing his account, no matter
<v Speaker 1>what the game is, he gets kicked out of his account.
<v Speaker 1>How that's true, I've never heard of that. I've never
<v Speaker 1>tried that. This has seventy likes, so it must be true, right,
<v Speaker 1>But surely one why not make your sister her own
<v Speaker 1>account so she can play different games at a different
<v Speaker 1>time without kicking you out and two, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>this fixes your issue.
<v Speaker 2>No, I don't think it does either.
<v Speaker 1>Because yeah, why would that? Why would that fix that?
<v Speaker 2>I mean because what you would want is to be
<v Speaker 2>able to play the same game on multiple accounts. You can't.
<v Speaker 1>But you can't do that. You can't do that now
<v Speaker 1>or ever.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I don't know what I am.
<v Speaker 1>I maybe I'm wrong. I just don't. I don't. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I'm very confused. I hope I'm not. I
<v Speaker 1>hope I'm not derailing this.
<v Speaker 2>I think, like again, I think we just need to
<v Speaker 2>actually use it.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, Oh, I'm right.
<v Speaker 2>Once we get it, like a month from now, I'll
<v Speaker 2>be like, oh, now I get it.
<v Speaker 1>People don't understand that Nintendo has licenses to third party
<v Speaker 1>developers and needs to show their games. Okay, this is
<v Speaker 1>about the actual direct which yeah, I've always said that,
<v Speaker 1>like they have like working relationships with these third parties.
<v Speaker 1>These directs aren't just for Nintendo. Also, a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people are pointing out I said in my video that
<v Speaker 1>this looks like Tomaduchy Life, but on an island, like
<v Speaker 1>animal Crossing, and people pointed out that the first one
<v Speaker 1>or something was also on an island. There. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>will see this.
<v Speaker 2>So for like three to four years, every time I'm
<v Speaker 2>streaming a direct my chat is spamming where's Tomadochun? So
<v Speaker 2>I'm happy for them. I've never played the game. I've
<v Speaker 2>heard it is, you know, really fun. It's a very
<v Speaker 2>silly kind of game. So you know that's great that
<v Speaker 2>there's a sequel coming out.
<v Speaker 1>I agree, only the switch that bought the game digitally
<v Speaker 1>can play it offline. The digital cartridge allows for a
<v Speaker 1>different switch to play the game offline. That's not true.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, see it's confusing everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know that's not true. Explained it because the
<v Speaker 1>they're saying only this, only the switch that bought the
<v Speaker 1>game digitally can play it offline. That's not true. He
<v Speaker 1>just thinks that because he doesn't understand how the primary
<v Speaker 1>switch works. You can change what you can change your
<v Speaker 1>primary switch. You can do it like twice a year.
<v Speaker 1>I think you can make a different switch your primary switch.
<v Speaker 1>So any switch can play a game bought digitally. It
<v Speaker 1>doesn't it's not locked to that console. That would be insane. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>there's there's so much confusion around it. You want to
<v Speaker 1>I kind of want to read more of them. Is
<v Speaker 1>that is that terrible?
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I guess we can't. I guess, like you know, again,
<v Speaker 2>once it comes out, someone's gonna make a video like
<v Speaker 2>it could be us, it could be someone else, but
<v Speaker 2>like someone has to make a video and just walk
<v Speaker 2>us through it because the way that it was explained
<v Speaker 2>through Nintendo is just way too like perplexing when it
<v Speaker 2>really shouldn't be. Pretty basic. Concept this person concept.
<v Speaker 1>This person says, you get two primary switches, you can
<v Speaker 1>remove access you don't. No, I know, I know, but
<v Speaker 1>this has six likes. But no, I'm I don't think you.
<v Speaker 2>Can yeah that that it doesn't work that way.
<v Speaker 1>You can't have two primary He's a primary is a
<v Speaker 1>solo primary? Yes, so what it's a singular number. Sorry,
<v Speaker 1>I'm just I'm just this guy. This guy even left
<v Speaker 1>a comment about it and then crust it out like
<v Speaker 1>he edited it out. The problem with the previous method
<v Speaker 1>is if you play a digital game on a switch
<v Speaker 1>that was not your primary switch, you would have to
<v Speaker 1>be online order to game permission to play it. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I did talk about that, all right, I'm I'm getting
<v Speaker 1>out of this.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I guess, let's let's move on. You know, there
<v Speaker 2>were other games that were announced there too. Yes, sorry,
<v Speaker 2>I feel like we could probably like talk about this
<v Speaker 2>the whole podcast.
<v Speaker 1>I know, I know, I I hyper. People get so,
<v Speaker 1>especially on the podcast because it's it's unedited, and people
<v Speaker 1>are like, why diould get so? Why did you get
<v Speaker 1>so fixated on things? I have ADHD and sometimes I
<v Speaker 1>get so hyper fixated on an idea and it's so
<v Speaker 1>funny to me how confusing it is, and me trying
<v Speaker 1>to figure it out is like it's like an itch
<v Speaker 1>in my brain. I just want to keep barreling down
<v Speaker 1>on it.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it is bizarre that for a Nintendo Direct
<v Speaker 2>you are not fixated on a video game. You're fixated
<v Speaker 2>on a const well.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there wasn't much in the way of video games,
<v Speaker 1>to be honest. Do you want to skip to the
<v Speaker 1>good one?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? This looked amazing. Oh I really did Super Super.
<v Speaker 2>I really hope this game comes out later in the
<v Speaker 2>year because I want to have time to play the
<v Speaker 2>rest of the Prime games. I've dabbled a little bit
<v Speaker 2>with Metroid, but I've never like finished the game fully.
<v Speaker 2>So after seeing this, I'm just like, man, I've got
<v Speaker 2>to get into these games.
<v Speaker 1>Uh, this one is giving major Metroid Prime one vibes.
<v Speaker 1>I actually saw some people were complaining about that after
<v Speaker 1>this today because they were like, I kind of want that.
<v Speaker 1>They were saying, I kind of wanted Metroid to evolve
<v Speaker 1>and become more open and more like I want to
<v Speaker 1>see like an evolution of Metroid, whereas this is really
<v Speaker 1>going back to its roots, which I said while I
<v Speaker 1>was watching it, it literally looks like a revamped Metroid
<v Speaker 1>Prime one, which, to be honest, I get what they're saying,
<v Speaker 1>but Metroid is in just a really weird place for
<v Speaker 1>a series that's so beloved. The first games, they're very niche,
<v Speaker 1>but they were beloved, and the further they went along
<v Speaker 1>in installments, the less and less people actually played them,
<v Speaker 1>and then the lesson quality some of them got too.
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember liking other m very much. The two
<v Speaker 1>d ones. The highest selling two D one is three million,
<v Speaker 1>and that's very beloved. That was dread. But even then,
<v Speaker 1>it's a niche community, and they had a hard time
<v Speaker 1>making this game right. They had to scrap it in development.
<v Speaker 1>It's taken ten years I think, trying to evolve it
<v Speaker 1>right now and push it past what are we even
<v Speaker 1>pushing it past? Like, what model are we pushing it
<v Speaker 1>past and where are we going when we don't really
<v Speaker 1>even have a vision and we haven't even had a
<v Speaker 1>game like this in twenty years. I think it makes
<v Speaker 1>sense to kind of go back to when it was
<v Speaker 1>pure at its roots, and then if this works, we
<v Speaker 1>do something from here.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's what I was just going to say. Like this,
<v Speaker 2>if you're going to reintroduce a franchise like this without
<v Speaker 2>a brand new game in over a decade, it makes
<v Speaker 2>sense to make it play like Primes one through three,
<v Speaker 2>even Prime Hunters to an extent. But for Prime five,
<v Speaker 2>if the game sells well to do Prime five, then
<v Speaker 2>they should try to expand out, make it open world,
<v Speaker 2>detroid game, you know, go crazy with it.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, I agree.
<v Speaker 2>I just I mean, it's not really something I've thought
<v Speaker 2>about until now. But I could see why people are
<v Speaker 2>disappointed by that. But like you know, I haven't a
<v Speaker 2>lot of people are just not Yeah, it's just like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, a lot of people just aren't that familiar
<v Speaker 2>with these games. They don't sell well. So if Prime
<v Speaker 2>four does well, I think they should do it. They
<v Speaker 2>should try an open world or maybe like open zone.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah zone, just something a bit more like less linear.
<v Speaker 1>I could see that. I think with the linear approach
<v Speaker 1>it's easier to create those traditional like puzzles and like
<v Speaker 1>world challenges. But yeah, I mean I think you kind
<v Speaker 1>of got to take it to its roots and get
<v Speaker 1>people what they love. Don't get too ambitious, because then
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna you're gonna alienate the people that wanted a
<v Speaker 1>sequel because now they have this new thing that's nothing
<v Speaker 1>like what they used to love and they kind of
<v Speaker 1>have to hopefully it's good good. And then you also
<v Speaker 1>have the section of people that like aren't interested in
<v Speaker 1>the first place, and they're not going to buy it anyway,
<v Speaker 1>you know. So yeah, I think just keeping it like
<v Speaker 1>this is smart. I also, yeah, controlling the bullets is
<v Speaker 1>pretty sick.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I have this little theory that I talked about today.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think this is Switch one that we're seeing?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, you do. I think it's okay. I think Switch
<v Speaker 2>too is going to look a little more clean. I think,
<v Speaker 2>maybe not cleaned up. I think the lighting will be
<v Speaker 2>dramatically enhanced on Switch to.
<v Speaker 1>So I it would mean it would be really sick
<v Speaker 1>to see an even more improved version of this.
<v Speaker 2>But this, to me, I mean, after all this time,
<v Speaker 2>it just I feel like there has to be a
<v Speaker 2>switch to version that we're going to see.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, I agree for me. The only thing with this
<v Speaker 1>is if this is Switched one, I kind of I
<v Speaker 1>kind of look even worse back at some other games
<v Speaker 1>because this is so clear, so crisp, so clean, with
<v Speaker 1>decent frame rates. From the small clips that we saw here.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, it's all very I think it's all sixty. I
<v Speaker 2>don't think there's any frame drops.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, look at like the draw distances here, and
<v Speaker 1>like how clean and crisp everything is in the background,
<v Speaker 1>the fog like I don't know if we've seen this
<v Speaker 1>might be the best looking switch game. If this is
<v Speaker 1>if if this is recorded on even.
<v Speaker 2>The leaf effects, I know that it's gonna look It
<v Speaker 2>doesn't look great on YouTube because of the way that
<v Speaker 2>it compresses footage, but in game that is going to
<v Speaker 2>look amazing.
<v Speaker 1>I mean it's going to look cleaner than what we're
<v Speaker 1>even seeing here. Yeah, because this is the compression on
<v Speaker 1>the compression, I don't know, I think this looks shockingly
<v Speaker 1>good for the Switch one.
<v Speaker 2>Nice. Yeah, yeah, it looks really really nice.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Well, I hope you're right, because then I hope
<v Speaker 1>there's a switch to version that looks even better, because
<v Speaker 1>that would blow me away. I was almost thinking that, like,
<v Speaker 1>you know, this has been developed on Switch this whole time,
<v Speaker 1>so at its core, like Breath of the Wy, it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be a switch game, you know, with switch
<v Speaker 1>graphics and switch lighting in mind. But maybe they took
<v Speaker 1>this switch game and they just ran it on the
<v Speaker 1>switch to to showcase it and show it off because
<v Speaker 1>it just looks so clean.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean they really emphasized this is Switch one games.
<v Speaker 2>I just don't think that they would do that. Like Nintendo.
<v Speaker 2>They even, like you know, they show awful footage all
<v Speaker 2>the time in the direct.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they do it, like you.
<v Speaker 2>Look at both There was the Fantasy Life game they
<v Speaker 2>showed at the end and it says, really it ran
<v Speaker 2>like five frames a second. It looked did not look
<v Speaker 2>very good. I mean, so I think this is switched
<v Speaker 2>one footage.
<v Speaker 1>It could yeah, it could go either way. I think
<v Speaker 1>it's like on Pokemon ZNA they say like a little
<v Speaker 1>blurb at the start of like this is like not
<v Speaker 1>final footage, and blah blah blah blah. Sometimes they'll say
<v Speaker 1>recorded on it, blah blah, blah. This says nothing doesn't
<v Speaker 1>tell you where it's recorded. So yeah, I guess we'll see.
<v Speaker 2>I think I still think it's switched one, but I
<v Speaker 2>guess we'll see.
<v Speaker 1>Here is chuckle Fish, that new game they made walk
<v Speaker 1>Groove in Eastwood. Okay, they have really great pixel lot
<v Speaker 1>and this looks like some kind of big, like open
<v Speaker 1>multiplayer style game. I just love that pixel work is
<v Speaker 1>so cute.
<v Speaker 2>The the art style kind of reminds me of like
<v Speaker 2>Battle Network on Game Boy Advance.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I can see that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, similar to that.
<v Speaker 1>Then one of my favorites was this Eternal Life of
<v Speaker 1>Goldman with this ah god, the art style is so cool,
<v Speaker 1>like Studio Ghibli.
<v Speaker 2>I saw it, I'm like, oh, this is very much
<v Speaker 2>like a Cuphead kind of art style.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, definitely channeling Cuphead yep.
<v Speaker 2>And also the Gradiut we could very quickly talk about that.
<v Speaker 2>So I played Gradius on like Super Nintendo years ago,
<v Speaker 2>and I really liked it. So seeing a collection is
<v Speaker 2>really surprising. This is like one of those games from
<v Speaker 2>like the eighties and nineties you wouldn't think would ever
<v Speaker 2>get a revival of any kind, So it's kind of surprised.
<v Speaker 2>Oh and Life Forces here too. Life Force is a
<v Speaker 2>really fun in thes game as well.
<v Speaker 1>I breathed past these in my reaction, So I'm glad
<v Speaker 1>you said.
<v Speaker 2>There's not much to say about it. I'm just surprised that,
<v Speaker 2>like this is a thing that's gonna come out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that that's throwing everything at these directs. Now, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>let me. Actually, one thing I want to show you is, uh,
<v Speaker 1>have you seen the boxot for Metroid Prime?
<v Speaker 2>For I have? It looks really really cool.
<v Speaker 1>I got to find it manually.
<v Speaker 2>But I love that they're going for a like a
<v Speaker 2>more purple tone, which I guess makes sense because like, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>in the game is a psychic ability, but uh, it's
<v Speaker 2>I kind of like it. It looks nice, you know. It's
<v Speaker 2>a nice change from like the green tint that she
<v Speaker 2>usually has. Yeah, that looks that is amazing. Look at that.
<v Speaker 1>That's pretty sick. Yeah, look at that.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna have to get that game physically, just because
<v Speaker 2>of the boxer looks so good.
<v Speaker 1>I think we skip bosted. But there's a new like
<v Speaker 1>black and red suit as well that she has that
<v Speaker 1>looks really sick at the very end. Yeah, it would
<v Speaker 1>be cool if she was in that here, but I
<v Speaker 1>get that they want the traditional samus. Look, it's really cool. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the purple and the logo too. They've been hinting at
<v Speaker 1>that for a minute. This whole like psychic thing. Every
<v Speaker 1>metroid has like a new gimmick, and this is I
<v Speaker 1>guess the psychic in this one.
<v Speaker 2>Mm hmm. I feel like they didn't even show us
<v Speaker 2>that much. I think there's gonna be a lot of
<v Speaker 2>really cool puzzles and things you do with the psychic ability,
<v Speaker 2>because that's like such a broad idea. Yeah, can really
<v Speaker 2>do a lot with that.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, the game is based around these really clever puzzles.
<v Speaker 1>I think people I saw some people saying the gameplay
<v Speaker 1>looked a little boring. I think I think it was
<v Speaker 1>like they assume that some people have the knowledge of
<v Speaker 1>how fun these games are, and then hey, look we've
<v Speaker 1>added telekinesis to it. So I think we'll get some better,
<v Speaker 1>more clearer looks soon. But I think that first look
<v Speaker 1>we got of it where She's like came out the
<v Speaker 1>spaceship and then was blasting through enemies that that was
<v Speaker 1>very action heavy and showcased a lot of what the
<v Speaker 1>game could do.
<v Speaker 2>I think we've only seen the beginning of that game,
<v Speaker 2>we have not seen anything yet.
<v Speaker 1>They're hiding a lot of it, I feel like.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, also very cool to see another Necromancer game. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I played. Did you play the Zelda one? I think
<v Speaker 2>it was called like.
<v Speaker 1>High School something. I got Cadence of Hiral. Yeah, that
<v Speaker 1>was really fun.
<v Speaker 2>And then this.
<v Speaker 1>I played this actually two years ago at a Pax.
<v Speaker 1>They've been working on this for a long time. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's cool. It's really fun. It's uh, it's obviously a
<v Speaker 1>rhythm game, but the way they do it, they do
<v Speaker 1>it is very unique. I remember when I was playing
<v Speaker 1>it because the things coming down the thing here are enemies,
<v Speaker 1>and each time you hit one, they act in different ways.
<v Speaker 1>So sometimes you'll hit one and their effect is they'll
<v Speaker 1>go back up and then move over and then you
<v Speaker 1>got to hit them again, or like a whole bunch
<v Speaker 1>of different effects. So it's not as straightforward as just
<v Speaker 1>hitting it in the right time. You see these guys,
<v Speaker 1>they seem to have like three hits of health. So
<v Speaker 1>she hit that one twice already and he's hurt twice,
<v Speaker 1>but she's got to hit it a third time to
<v Speaker 1>actually kill it. So not only are you thinking about
<v Speaker 1>like here's this thing coming. It's how's this thing gonna
<v Speaker 1>react once I hit it? Because then I've got to
<v Speaker 1>do that again. So it's pretty cool. And the music
<v Speaker 1>is really good as well.
<v Speaker 2>I like that they're they're basically going with the same
<v Speaker 2>concept too of the Crypt game and and Cadence of Hirel,
<v Speaker 2>but now it's like a different I know, kind of
<v Speaker 2>like a good different gameplay style.
<v Speaker 1>It's very different in they didn't show much around the guitar.
<v Speaker 1>But there's other like mini games that you play like
<v Speaker 1>this one, but and that that's like a whole like
<v Speaker 1>Warrior were side of it.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that's cool.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so here's.
<v Speaker 2>This was so what a weird game to get it?
<v Speaker 1>I know, I know, I I have no idea what's
<v Speaker 1>going on here. I've never played one. I used to
<v Speaker 1>have a tamagotchi when I was a kid, like like
<v Speaker 1>a real one, but I have no idea what this is.
<v Speaker 1>This also looks Warrior whearish.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean it kind of reminds me of like
<v Speaker 2>maybe Warrior Wearing Antalcrossing combined, I guess, but more warriorware
<v Speaker 2>because it is just a lot of mini games. So
<v Speaker 2>it's also like you can customize. I don't know, it
<v Speaker 2>just looks weird.
<v Speaker 1>It does look well.
<v Speaker 2>I find it funny that the director has Tomagotchi and TOMADATCHI.
<v Speaker 1>I know it's it was when I was googling to
<v Speaker 1>get logos for the thumbnail for this episode, I was
<v Speaker 1>like Tomogotchi Like, I was like, what wait wait, I'm getting.
<v Speaker 2>Too confused, super super easy to get mixed up.
<v Speaker 1>Then we get Pokemon Legends, D and A and more
<v Speaker 1>of a look at that. I just put out a
<v Speaker 1>big video about the trailer at this game, so I
<v Speaker 1>obviously have a lot of thoughts on it. But I
<v Speaker 1>mean there's some shots in the game that look nice
<v Speaker 1>that managed to like cobble together enough variety to kind
<v Speaker 1>of trick your brain into thinking that it looks good.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of it just looks very square to me
<v Speaker 1>and very rigid, just very very basic game design.
<v Speaker 2>In terms of like the gameplay it is. Actually this
<v Speaker 2>might be an improvement over Arcius, where there's the day
<v Speaker 2>night system where they is when you catch Pokemon. Night
<v Speaker 2>is when you battle trainers, because in Arcius you battle
<v Speaker 2>like twenty trainers in the whole game. I mean there's
<v Speaker 2>almost no Yeah, the fact that they have both now,
<v Speaker 2>I think is is pretty cool.
<v Speaker 1>That's a very good point. Yeah, And I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>If Yeah, I don't know if it's gonna be like
<v Speaker 2>on a cycle where you have to wait between day
<v Speaker 2>and night, or if you can kind of just like
<v Speaker 2>swap on the fly. I hope you can swap on
<v Speaker 2>the fly. That would be that that would be a
<v Speaker 2>lot more fun. But it's at least a way to
<v Speaker 2>differentiate itself from Arcius.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. No, I think I like a lot of of
<v Speaker 1>what they've added. I also really liked the new combat,
<v Speaker 1>where like it's so free flowing and you can run
<v Speaker 1>around and pull your Pokemon away and it's not all
<v Speaker 1>locked in once you do an attack. You know, That's
<v Speaker 1>what I wanted out of Akias. In fact, it felt
<v Speaker 1>weirdly restricting an acheus, because you had all this freedom
<v Speaker 1>of running around and catching, and then as soon as
<v Speaker 1>you got into a battle, you were like, oh right,
<v Speaker 1>it's like all Pokemon again. Yeah, so this is a
<v Speaker 1>really cool. I love everything they're doing in the gameplay,
<v Speaker 1>and I like the idea of the day and night cycle.
<v Speaker 1>I just just wish it didn't look so damn ugly.
<v Speaker 2>You know. Yeah, But I mean visuals aside. The game
<v Speaker 2>looks fun, but it does not look great mm hmm.
<v Speaker 1>But no, it's cool, it is. I do look forward
<v Speaker 1>to trying out these new mechanics.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and Rhythm Heaven. Very surprising to see this.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know, new Rhythm Heaven very bizarre. Nintendo are
<v Speaker 1>just bringing back every franchise, little cocky idea that they
<v Speaker 1>had of previous years. The switch has it all.
<v Speaker 2>I was hoping for like a Warrior Land today. But
<v Speaker 2>you know what, Rhythm Heaven is kind of like in
<v Speaker 2>that same category where it's like a really niche franchise. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so seking. I think the last one, if I'm not mistaken,
<v Speaker 2>was Mega Mix on the three DS, and that was
<v Speaker 2>just a compilation of games from previous Rhythm Heaven titles.
<v Speaker 2>So the fact this is all brand new, that's it's
<v Speaker 2>pretty awesome.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I look forward to that. I WATCHO weird connections
<v Speaker 1>like Tomagotchi, Tamadachi whatever, this one having this weird like
<v Speaker 1>AI voice. I know it's not AI, but like this
<v Speaker 1>weird like AI robot voice, and then the start of
<v Speaker 1>this one or like this, the way they talk. The
<v Speaker 1>whole way they talk is very similar it was like
<v Speaker 1>a lot of a lot of connections in this one.
<v Speaker 2>Consider that that's true.
<v Speaker 1>We got high, we got a sizzle real here. We
<v Speaker 1>got high on life coming to the Switch. This is
<v Speaker 1>a very comedic game, I think made by the same
<v Speaker 1>people of like Brick and Morty or.
<v Speaker 2>It kind of looks like Borderlands a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I can see that. And then Star Overdrive, which
<v Speaker 1>is like a Breath of the Wild on a hoverboard.
<v Speaker 1>I've been interested in checking that one out. Yeah, it
<v Speaker 1>looks pretty cool. Yeah, there was a lot of interesting
<v Speaker 1>games in here. This like weird town building management one
<v Speaker 1>that's on the back of like a dinosaur. Yeah, a
<v Speaker 1>lot of interesting ones here, Saga, Frontier two, Monument Valley, Everybody, Golf,
<v Speaker 1>Marvel Cosmic. Uh.
<v Speaker 2>Actually, if I were more into fighting games, I would
<v Speaker 2>be really into that announcement because it looks like a
<v Speaker 2>very solid beat them up. Yeah. I'm super bad at
<v Speaker 2>fighting titles, so I'm not gonna play it, but uh,
<v Speaker 2>I mean it looks looks good. It looks like a
<v Speaker 2>classic arcade game.
<v Speaker 1>It is cool. They did a whole new It's not
<v Speaker 1>like a remake of an old it's just a new
<v Speaker 1>Marvel Beat them up in the style of a Super Nintendo.
<v Speaker 2>Because they've done so many collections of games like this
<v Speaker 2>on the the past few years, so it's neat to
<v Speaker 2>see them doing like a new one.
<v Speaker 1>And then yeah, Tom a Dacchi Life, which again we
<v Speaker 1>both have admitted we didn't really play.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I'm I'm gonna have to because I'm telling you
<v Speaker 2>my chat is like that, this is what they're They've
<v Speaker 2>been fixated on this game for years, I know, and
<v Speaker 2>they finally got it, so I feel like I owe
<v Speaker 2>it to them to at least try out the game.
<v Speaker 2>I've got it. I think I own it on three DS,
<v Speaker 2>so yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you have a whole year because it comes
<v Speaker 1>out twenty twenty six, so if you want to catch.
<v Speaker 2>Ut, I got plenty of time to try the games out. Yep.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean it's I love the humor that in
<v Speaker 1>the trailer, especially this part here where she gets hug
<v Speaker 1>she gets closer. But other other than some of the
<v Speaker 1>humor here, I'm not sure what you do in this game,
<v Speaker 1>but it's it's nice to see the mes is still
<v Speaker 1>living strong, you know.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think it's kind of did you play me
<v Speaker 2>Tomo on me? Topop meets Tomo. No, there are two
<v Speaker 2>different things. And Me Tomo also had text to speech
<v Speaker 2>and it had mes, but there wasn't like a whole
<v Speaker 2>game built around. It was basically just like you build
<v Speaker 2>a me and then you can give like a personality
<v Speaker 2>and you could like talk to other mes. So there
<v Speaker 2>wasn't much to it. It was actually Nintendo's very first
<v Speaker 2>mobile app, so this kind of reminds me of that.
<v Speaker 2>But like you know, again, I've never played Tomadauchi Life,
<v Speaker 2>so I'm sure they are much more different.
<v Speaker 1>Now. I'm just checking my app store because I believe
<v Speaker 1>you told me before we went live that this app
<v Speaker 1>is finally live. Now this new Nintendo today.
<v Speaker 2>I yeah, I downloaded it like two seconds before we started.
<v Speaker 2>You do have to log into an account that's a
<v Speaker 2>Nintendo count.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah to do that later. So this is a new
<v Speaker 1>app that gives you daily Nintendo news, and they said,
<v Speaker 1>want to switch to April second direct happens, they'll be
<v Speaker 1>daily Nintendo switch to news delivered to you directly through
<v Speaker 1>this app. The only reason I like that is because
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to use Twitter less and less. I'm belly
<v Speaker 1>ever on it, so if I can just get my
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo news through an external app through this, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>that's good. It's one of the only reasons I use
<v Speaker 1>Twitter is to make sure I'm not missing a direct.
<v Speaker 2>So I mean, there's there's two reasons I still use Twitter.
<v Speaker 2>Like one, it's because Nintendo is still there, so now
<v Speaker 2>I can kind of eliminate using it because of this.
<v Speaker 2>And then two it is a good place the network
<v Speaker 2>still like, there are still a lots it's annoying. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so I'm probably gonna still keep using it at this point.
<v Speaker 2>I might just use it to network and that's it.
<v Speaker 2>Not even look through the timeline. Yeah, and that's how
<v Speaker 2>it opens. Mario runs across the screen and then you're
<v Speaker 2>prompted to like log in. I still got to do that.
<v Speaker 1>But okay, I don't know if my log in is automatic.
<v Speaker 1>Let me see if I can. Oh wait, yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>think I'm logged in if this is the right wood.
<v Speaker 1>If it's the right wood, because I have two woods
<v Speaker 1>and I would like to log in with my American account,
<v Speaker 1>but it looks like I'm in.
<v Speaker 2>Oh you know what, It's okay, this is working for
<v Speaker 2>me as well. This really just reminds me of the
<v Speaker 2>news app that's already on the.
<v Speaker 1>Switch, select a game series that you would like to
<v Speaker 1>represent the app. That's cool, Okay, well I'm gonna do Zelda.
<v Speaker 1>Obviously you can receive information each day about the game
<v Speaker 1>series you're interested in. Ah, there as well, let's go
<v Speaker 1>all right. So oh and then you select let's do
<v Speaker 1>a whole thing. I'm interested in Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pickman,
<v Speaker 1>Kirby Fire Emblem, Metroid, Zeno Blade, not Warrior where I
<v Speaker 1>don't need it, Donkey Kong Classics don't need those.
<v Speaker 2>Whoa hold on, Hold on, look at this. This has
<v Speaker 2>a guide to beating World one in supers. Finally, it's
<v Speaker 2>really funny.
<v Speaker 1>I never thought something would come that would help me
<v Speaker 1>with that Metal Metroid Stories Part one.
<v Speaker 2>There's concept a red on you. Okay, this is kind
<v Speaker 2>of cool.
<v Speaker 1>There's a lot of more stuff on here than I expected. Wow,
<v Speaker 1>there's a whole thing on Zeno Blade too. This concept
<v Speaker 1>up for Xeno Blade as well. All right, maybe this
<v Speaker 1>app is worth clicking around.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, maybe I think we'll really know. Wants to switch too?
<v Speaker 2>Is now or.
<v Speaker 1>Clickab direct happens? Says clickbait? Ah, let's just say clickbait.
<v Speaker 2>I think that's just the name of the song.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wait, I can add wait what I can add
<v Speaker 1>it as a widget to my phone. Oh that's really
<v Speaker 1>bad because then when you then I don't even have
<v Speaker 1>to open the app, it just gives it to me
<v Speaker 1>on the widget at the news.
<v Speaker 2>Now, the question is are they going to offer new
<v Speaker 2>news for the switch too, or is it gonna just
<v Speaker 2>be like regurgitated from directs.
<v Speaker 1>It will be interesting to see, Like imagine if news
<v Speaker 1>breaks on the app first and everyone's like, check your app.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, hey, it's not a bad idea, like if
<v Speaker 2>they really want to curate it and not have to
<v Speaker 2>deal with like Twitter comments. So maybe that's the goal.
<v Speaker 1>When you load the calendar, you can click on a
<v Speaker 1>date and they'll have little stars next to it if
<v Speaker 1>something's happening.
<v Speaker 2>Oh so that's actually really helpful for like game releases.
<v Speaker 1>That's got the direct on the fourth, the Nintendo New
<v Speaker 1>York experience, Wow on the On the eleventh, Nintendo switched
<v Speaker 1>to in London. Oh yeah, all right, and then Dallas.
<v Speaker 1>I can see when they all start Tokyo and then
<v Speaker 1>what's this one? In middle of June, Nintendo switched to
<v Speaker 1>release date what it says On June fifteenth, the Switch releases.
<v Speaker 1>Now I'm kidding. Oh my god, how cool would that be?
<v Speaker 2>Though? Imagine they accidentally put that in.
<v Speaker 1>They left it in? Ye, all right, I think we
<v Speaker 1>I think that was it right.
<v Speaker 2>We covered pretty much every single game.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Chat, what did we miss? Because I couldn't see
<v Speaker 1>you guys, because I have to have discord over here
<v Speaker 1>with his lovely face in it.
<v Speaker 2>I have not looked at any of Chat yet.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't either, really, I'll take a peek. Let me
<v Speaker 1>know if we missed anything, uh, anything you want us
<v Speaker 1>to talk about quickly before we get out of here.
<v Speaker 1>I think there was something else. There was something else
<v Speaker 1>I pinned in my documents. Let me check real quick. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>and Chat, I will let you know now. And patreons,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna do a bonus today. I am absolutely wiped.
<v Speaker 1>I'll give you a double next week. I promise there'll
<v Speaker 1>be more. There'll be way more to talk about next week, anyway,
<v Speaker 1>because it'll be the day after the Nintendo switch to
<v Speaker 1>Direct mm hmm. So trust me, you're gonna you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>want it, You're gonna love it.
<v Speaker 2>I was seeing a lot of Chat saying it's a
<v Speaker 2>more kid friendly version of Twitter, like the the Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>Today app. Yeah, yeah, which, yeah, I think I think
<v Speaker 2>that's that's definitely true. I mean it's cute.
<v Speaker 1>It's it's like a it's like a newsletter. It's like
<v Speaker 1>a little Nintendo magazine, but like online forum Nintendo Today.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>I get it. I get what they're going for. It's
<v Speaker 1>just it's hard to get anybody to use a new
<v Speaker 1>app or commit to a new app, especially if it's
<v Speaker 1>just like news for like one specific company. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's Nintendo. I'm sure they'll find a way to make
<v Speaker 1>it fun.
<v Speaker 2>I wonder if this app will be integrated into switch
<v Speaker 2>to it all, Like, are they gonna have their own
<v Speaker 2>social media like they did with the WU.
<v Speaker 1>Or is this just for the app and that's it.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's just for the app. I mean, they
<v Speaker 1>have their other online app for integration and stuff. But
<v Speaker 1>I guess we'll see. Yeah, yeah, I guess someone in
<v Speaker 1>chat saying not.
<v Speaker 2>Talk so I saw that it is. I believe that
<v Speaker 2>was a game on the PSP. I don't know much
<v Speaker 2>about it, but it is funny because I was able
<v Speaker 2>to tell right away, just like by the way the
<v Speaker 2>game looked, like, oh, this is a PSP game. Mm hmm,
<v Speaker 2>and yeah, apparently it was, which that's pretty cool. I
<v Speaker 2>think that's a Sony property. So it's another Sony game
<v Speaker 2>getting added to the switch.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's that is Actually did not know that was
<v Speaker 1>a Sony PSP game. Yeah, I have no thoughts head
<v Speaker 1>empty on that one.
<v Speaker 2>I've never I've never played it. I could just tell
<v Speaker 2>based off of out look, like, oh yeah, this is
<v Speaker 2>mid two thousands PSP right here.
<v Speaker 1>Yep.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that's cool. Act they should add like a Loco Moco.
<v Speaker 2>That's a really good PSP game.
<v Speaker 1>I believe they should. I believe you. I trust you.
<v Speaker 1>It is the chat, the chat chats all about it.
<v Speaker 1>They're going crazy right now. Someone said, Heyward, do you
<v Speaker 1>think ZNA would take place in pastor present? I have
<v Speaker 1>no idea. Uh, do you think I'll have multiplayer?
<v Speaker 2>Now?
<v Speaker 1>I think if it had multiplayer, they would have shown
<v Speaker 1>us that already.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Probably the preorder date might have got leaked. I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to end the episode today and I'm gonna look at Twitter,
<v Speaker 1>and there's going to be a million things that have
<v Speaker 1>come out, trust me. Yeah, let me just double check. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not seeing anything official. I'm seeing a lot of
<v Speaker 1>studio ghibli Ai R that apparently is blowing up online
<v Speaker 1>today for some reason. Still no word on Yeah, still
<v Speaker 1>no word on win Waker or Twilight Princess unfortunately.
<v Speaker 2>I mean yeah, I think out of all of the
<v Speaker 2>like Core franchise, it's the only one I think we
<v Speaker 2>might have seen today was a Kirby remake like Planet
<v Speaker 2>Robot or something. But I was not expecting Prime two
<v Speaker 2>or three. It wasn't really expecting three Dzelda. I think
<v Speaker 2>it's just it's just not the direct for it. Like
<v Speaker 2>the games will come eventually, but it's just not the
<v Speaker 2>right time.
<v Speaker 1>I see a tweet that says retro studios out here
<v Speaker 1>making every Nitwitch developer look silly, including Nintendo's other first
<v Speaker 1>party devs, with a screenshot of the game's visuals. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's what I'm saying, Like, if this is Switch one
<v Speaker 1>graphics Switch one running locally, what have we been doing
<v Speaker 1>for the last eight years? Why is this the only
<v Speaker 1>studio that can do this? And why have they been
<v Speaker 1>locked to one game for a decade.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>This game looks amazing.
<v Speaker 2>Not Moco. That's my bad, Loco Roco, No that.
<v Speaker 1>I switch true. Preorders start April second, according to Best Buy. Well, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>after the direct, that's what IGN said. Yeah, after the direct. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'll be well yeah, all right, that's it I think everybody. Uh, Nate, Nathan, Nathaniel,
<v Speaker 1>thank you so much for joining me today. Worse yeah,
<v Speaker 1>last minute, and I really appreciate it. Guys, what a
<v Speaker 1>fun day. I can't believe we got a direct out
<v Speaker 1>of heck and nowhere. I'll see you all in a
<v Speaker 1>week with another direct reaction.
<v Speaker 2>Less than a week, six days actually.
<v Speaker 1>Six days actually crazy patreons again. I'll make it up
<v Speaker 1>to you next week. I am all talked out today.
<v Speaker 1>I got up at nine am. It is five pm.
<v Speaker 1>I've been doing nothing but talking. I am done. I
<v Speaker 1>will hit you next week. Everyone. Check out Nathaniel Bandy
<v Speaker 1>on YouTube. I'm gonna spam the link in the chat. No,
<v Speaker 1>thank you, you're welcome. I gotta find it though, I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't my screen just bruise. Whoa what what timing? Why
<v Speaker 1>did it do that? What happened?
<v Speaker 2>Oh?
<v Speaker 1>No, well I can still hear you. Go check him,
<v Speaker 1>go check him out. Yeah, Nathaniel, uh, but what what
<v Speaker 1>do you think of the direct? Give me your give
<v Speaker 1>me your honest thoughts.
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was fine, it was okay.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, would you like it if people came and
<v Speaker 1>like checked out your channel after today?
<v Speaker 2>That would be fantastic.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, all right, all right, thank you buddy. All right,
<v Speaker 1>I'll see you guys next time.
