<v Speaker 4>I was eighteen and I needed money. It was the

<v Speaker 4>like answering Craigslist ads and you know, but it was

<v Speaker 4>he was the very first, but it was this dude
<v Speaker 4>in his thirties, a single guy, and you know, he
<v Speaker 4>just wanted to tie up a lady and take pictures.

<v Speaker 4>Yeah, And so I went over to his beautiful house
<v Speaker 4>in San Francisco and he tied me up and took

<v Speaker 2>How are you feeling about like working an adult, Like
<v Speaker 2>are you thinking, Okay, this is a career that I'm
<v Speaker 2>going path that I'm going to follow, or are you still
<v Speaker 2>just thinking like I'm just figuring out ways to get
<v Speaker 2>money and I'm thinking about doing something else with my life.
<v Speaker 4>At the time, I really wanted to go to school
<v Speaker 4>for biological anthropology to really piss off my fundamentalist parents.
<v Speaker 4>And if I thought that was going to change them off,
<v Speaker 4>just wait. And so I started going on digs and whatnot,
<v Speaker 4>and I did not like the politics and just how
<v Speaker 4>manipulative people are, like like I don't for example, recently,
<v Speaker 4>if you watch the Netflix documentary on like Homonnaletti and
<v Speaker 4>then you go back and you like actually read the
<v Speaker 4>papers on it, a lot of it is very deceptive.
<v Speaker 4>It's okay if you don't know what the fuck I'm
<v Speaker 4>talking about, but for the people who do, there's just
<v Speaker 4>a lot of everybody wants to make like the new
<v Speaker 4>big discovery, and I think that it gets in the
<v Speaker 4>way of good science. And I was just seeing more
<v Speaker 4>and more of that and that it was all politics
<v Speaker 4>and the people who were getting the grants were the
<v Speaker 4>ones who, like you know, glad handed in the right way.
<v Speaker 4>And to a little eighteen year old me, that was
<v Speaker 4>very disheartening. You know, I had been to Christian fundamental
<v Speaker 4>schools all my life and I thought, oh, science is
<v Speaker 4>like discovery of truth and we're going to find the
<v Speaker 4>origins of humanity. And then finding out that it's just
<v Speaker 4>another business was very depressing to me. Wow. But I
<v Speaker 4>liked getting fucked. That was great. So oh my god.
<v Speaker 4>I mean I made a choice.
<v Speaker 3>I love that.
<v Speaker 2>And you found porn to be like a more honest job.
<v Speaker 4>I mean yeah, I mean I don't want to be
<v Speaker 4>like still like, you know, oh prissy about it or
<v Speaker 4>anything like I was only pursuing pleasure and money, let's
<v Speaker 4>be honest. But yeah, I was kind of grossed out
<v Speaker 4>by academia. And I do think that academia is very
<v Speaker 4>broken right now. Not that I'm qualified to talk about
<v Speaker 4>that really, but that's why I decided to stop pursuing
<v Speaker 4>it and just in a very nihilistic way, enjoy what
<v Speaker 4>time I had on this earth and make some money.
<v Speaker 2>You know what, It's interesting that you say that because
<v Speaker 2>I wholeheartedly agree, and I have seen this a lot,
<v Speaker 2>and I tell people this all the time, and you know,
<v Speaker 2>my experience. You know, I started working in like the
<v Speaker 2>tech world, and I've seen you know, venture capitalism, and
<v Speaker 2>I've seen like a lot of other you know, side
<v Speaker 2>businesses that I wasn't really exposed to before, and it
<v Speaker 2>has just reinforced my belief that like porn is kind
<v Speaker 2>of like a very honest business. I know that's the
<v Speaker 2>last thing that people would think. Yeah, but it's true.
<v Speaker 4>I mean not not always, but it's better than the
<v Speaker 4>I mean it's not perfect, no, I think nothing, it
<v Speaker 4>is better.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, why do you think that is? I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>We just were so busy, like actually getting fucked that
<v Speaker 2>we don't try to fuck each other.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know why it is. I think it's just well,
<v Speaker 4>first of all, like you know, when people find out
<v Speaker 4>about things like like if you're into tech, like planned obsolescence,
<v Speaker 4>that that seems like evil to me, Like that sounds
<v Speaker 4>like like higher horrible, like it should be illegal and
<v Speaker 4>you're under such scrutiny. I guess with porn, you know,
<v Speaker 4>like if like, of course they happen and people do
<v Speaker 4>bad things, but you know, it's much more pinned on
<v Speaker 4>the individual and people talk about it and we're not
<v Speaker 4>really worried about being blacklisted in the same way that
<v Speaker 4>I might be like a tech company, you know, like
<v Speaker 4>you can always just go do something else important. As
<v Speaker 4>I'm guessing, I'm speculating, I don't know. What do you think?
<v Speaker 4>What do you think it is?
<v Speaker 2>I think, first of all, there's a lot less red
<v Speaker 2>tape around things, right, so you don't have to get
<v Speaker 2>the grants and do all of this master manipulation to
<v Speaker 2>get the funding to do the things that you want.
<v Speaker 2>It's a lot easier to get things done. And everybody's
<v Speaker 2>kind of like an independent contractor and an entrepreneur actually,
<v Speaker 2>like a small business owner really, and especially with the
<v Speaker 2>advent of like OnlyFans really where people are financially independent
<v Speaker 2>and they can like pursue their own ideas and creativity.
<v Speaker 4>And don't get insurance but I get only fans.
<v Speaker 2>But like it's leveled the playing field a lot now
<v Speaker 2>where people can kind of and it's given so much
<v Speaker 2>more power to the creators. It was not like, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>the adult industry is a much healthier place to work
<v Speaker 2>and now than it was before.
<v Speaker 3>And you've been around, so you know, I got lucky.
<v Speaker 4>Nothing ever really happened to me. But I hear the stories,
<v Speaker 4>you know, and I would see it and oh, you know, so.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean I think that there's something about that.
<v Speaker 2>And maybe it's because we are kind of like the
<v Speaker 2>black sheep of the entertainment industry. And I think it's
<v Speaker 2>also too it attracts these kind of like free free
<v Speaker 2>free thinking, like kind of like.
<v Speaker 4>I don't want to say, you don't want to you
<v Speaker 4>don't want to be restricted. Yeah, yeah, there's there's like,
<v Speaker 4>oh god, I was just watching this thing and they
<v Speaker 4>were talking about how Hollywood will take a good story
<v Speaker 4>about a bad girl and turn it into a bad
<v Speaker 4>story about a good girl, and we don't have to
<v Speaker 4>do that doing No, I'm starting to get involved more
<v Speaker 4>in directing and doing things for corporations, and even that
<v Speaker 4>degree of control is something I'm not used to. So
<v Speaker 4>like I very much. I like being able to do
<v Speaker 4>whatever whatever I want. I'm not a hippie, but yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I get it.
<v Speaker 2>You mean, yeah, I mean, there's just like there's a
<v Speaker 2>there's a certain freedom to people who are willing to
<v Speaker 2>throw all of that propriety to the wind and are
<v Speaker 2>willing to face the stigma that comes along with working
<v Speaker 2>in porn and are willing to just be like fuck it,
<v Speaker 2>I'm going to do whatever I want and like follow
<v Speaker 2>you know, my own desires and will and not conform.
<v Speaker 2>They're very nonconformists, yes, and I think there's a lot
<v Speaker 2>to that. There is, you know, And it's also.
<v Speaker 4>Full of artists, Yes, there's very much.
<v Speaker 2>So so I think there's there's a lot to that.
<v Speaker 2>And it's a small industry, and it's a small insular industry.
<v Speaker 2>And if you burn bridges and you fuck people over,
<v Speaker 2>it's hard, yeah, to get past that.
<v Speaker 4>People know who did it? Like it's you, Like, you know,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know who the I mean maybe I could
<v Speaker 4>Google or something. I don't know who the fuck came
<v Speaker 4>up with planned obsolescence.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, yeah, it's big.
<v Speaker 4>It's a big company. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly exactly, So I think I think that probably has
<v Speaker 2>a lot to do with.
<v Speaker 4>It personal responsibility and creativity.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah the same time, Yeah, exactly what was your life
<v Speaker 2>like before you got into porn? I mean, I I
<v Speaker 2>was a child, but I mean fundamentalist parents. It sounds
<v Speaker 2>like you grew up in a religious household.
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, yeah, I went to just like these private
<v Speaker 4>schools that would keep kicking me out for various reasons. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>it was. It was very very Christian. I was. I
<v Speaker 4>was very very innocent, constantly told that like the outside
<v Speaker 4>world was really really really evil, and I mean, I
<v Speaker 4>guess it is, but it's it's not as bad as
<v Speaker 4>I was told. And what else did I do? Yeah?
<v Speaker 3>I was.
<v Speaker 4>I had just you know, turned eighteen, and I didn't
<v Speaker 4>really want to talk to my parents anymore, and they
<v Speaker 4>were trying really hard to control me with money, but
<v Speaker 4>I wanted to live like a little punk gutter rat,
<v Speaker 4>so that didn't work very well for them. I think
<v Speaker 4>that I think that my siblings are still financially dependent
<v Speaker 4>on my parents, which is kind of Yeah, if that's
<v Speaker 4>how you are, that's that's fine, but it's not for me.
<v Speaker 3>Are you so close to your family?
<v Speaker 4>No? No, My mother's mother is terrifying. She's like this
<v Speaker 4>master manipulator and like she can get you to do things,
<v Speaker 4>and so the only way to kind of escape that
<v Speaker 4>is to stay away from her because she's scary. Like
<v Speaker 4>every time I talk to her just at all, she'll
<v Speaker 4>she'll end up taking something from me.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, that must have been a hard conclusion to
<v Speaker 2>come to. I mean, I know people like that who've
<v Speaker 2>like struggled with family dynamics and and just like constantly
<v Speaker 2>tried to make it work and then finally came to
<v Speaker 2>this conclusion of like, you know what, it's just kind.
<v Speaker 4>Of I just I don't think she liked me very much,
<v Speaker 4>you know, and I think part of it was like
<v Speaker 4>I wasn't very easy to control that way, like my
<v Speaker 4>siblings are kind of more easy to control with money,
<v Speaker 4>and yeah, I don't know, Like I every now and then,
<v Speaker 4>like I'll kind of like think about her or like
<v Speaker 4>my dad or something, but or like'll they'll try to
<v Speaker 4>get in contact with me, like my mother will every
<v Speaker 4>few years like send me this really half assed little apology,
<v Speaker 4>you know, like a little letter or something. It just
<v Speaker 4>says I'm sorry, and I'm just like, oh she wants something,
<v Speaker 4>Oh she wants something.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, So yeah, I don't really and you know, I
<v Speaker 4>kind of feel bad about my siblings, but I'm just
<v Speaker 4>like they're adults. I can't yeah, you know, I can't

<v Speaker 2>So tell me about your early life in porn, Like
<v Speaker 2>what kind of scenes were you doing and what was
<v Speaker 2>your early experience like.
<v Speaker 4>Rock and roll? Yeah, it was just so it used
<v Speaker 4>to be different. Up in San Francisco, everyone had their
<v Speaker 4>own little website or at the very least a little
<v Speaker 4>Clips for Sale store.

<v Speaker 2>an incredibly difficult website really to work with, just like
<v Speaker 2>I couldn't figure it out, like the interface into like

<v Speaker 3>It was like very complicated.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I think also because I didn't really do fetish much,

<v Speaker 4>was just she had cleared out, like people were like, like,
<v Speaker 4>we're leaving, and I was like okay, And so I
<v Speaker 4>was the last man standing. I'm alone there, and then
<v Speaker 4>I turn around and little Puck and Sean Alferd back there,
<v Speaker 4>and I was like, can I please sit with you guys?
<v Speaker 4>And they're like of course, of course, of course, and like, uh,
<v Speaker 4>Puck and I are actually dating now, so I'm extra
<v Speaker 4>glad that she was there. But we're sitting there and
<v Speaker 4>Puck is like, are you nervous? And I was like no,
<v Speaker 4>because I know I'm not going to win, and she
<v Speaker 4>was like okay, and then they called my name and
<v Speaker 4>I like freaked out. I was like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 4>I actually won an AVN, Like you know, I've been
<v Speaker 4>doing this for like twenty years. Yeah, and I finally wow,
<v Speaker 4>and so I was like, oh my god. And so
<v Speaker 4>I like, you've puck my purse real quick, and I
<v Speaker 4>run up there because I'm not thinking. And then I
<v Speaker 4>get up to the stage and nobody's on the stage.
<v Speaker 4>It's like empty, and I turn around and everybody's leaving
<v Speaker 4>and I kind of look and sitting right there are
<v Speaker 4>the two coolest girls in school, Caden Cross and maitland
<v Speaker 4>Ward are sitting there staring at me, and I'm just like,
<v Speaker 4>oh my god. I was so embarrassed. I was so humiliated,
<v Speaker 4>and like, I talked to Maitland later and she's really
<v Speaker 4>nice about it, but I was. And then I had
<v Speaker 4>to walk back to my seat and Puck is like
<v Speaker 4>holding my purse and she's like it's okay. I'm like yep,
<v Speaker 4>She's like, you won. I'm like, uh huh.
<v Speaker 3>Wait, oh was it?
<v Speaker 2>Because at the end they were just reading Okay, they
<v Speaker 2>weren't like it.
<v Speaker 4>Was but they said but they had like the graphics
<v Speaker 4>changed and they said and Penny Barber and so I thought,
<v Speaker 4>oh great, I get to be the last one. But no,
<v Speaker 4>it was just like, because you just sure we got
<v Speaker 4>to go up there this year?
<v Speaker 3>Usually yeah, I know you're right, they do, yeah, you do.
<v Speaker 4>Usually yeah, And she did. She got to go up
<v Speaker 4>this year and everything, and I do feel like the
<v Speaker 4>performer of the year milf. Yeah, and trans should you
<v Speaker 4>get to go up on the stage. That's a big one.
