<v Speaker 1>Welcome to the NXT podcast, your home for weekly NXT
<v Speaker 1>reviews and insight. The beautiful part of NXT is that
<v Speaker 1>when one dream ends, another dream begins. Find all of
<v Speaker 1>your NXT news, recaps and analysis right here.
<v Speaker 2>So with that being said, we only have one question
<v Speaker 2>for you. Ah who.
<v Speaker 1>We thought?
<v Speaker 2>So let's get the show started right now. Hey everybody,
<v Speaker 2>it's Jay. Welcome to your NXT review for the episode
<v Speaker 2>airing on January twenty eighth. It was from step Center
<v Speaker 2>Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. And I find that every time
<v Speaker 2>time they do a every time we do a show
<v Speaker 2>outside of the performance center, it's just a little bit
<v Speaker 2>better than when they do the show in the performance center.
<v Speaker 2>And this one was no different. It was it was
<v Speaker 2>a it was a pretty good show. I have to say.
<v Speaker 2>It was a very very good show for you know,
<v Speaker 2>just for just for a weekly episode. They're moving forward
<v Speaker 2>towards Vengeance Day, which is on February fifteenth, which I
<v Speaker 2>will do we will be doing a review for on
<v Speaker 2>the day after. So celebrate Valentine's Day with NXT and
<v Speaker 2>me with Valentine's weekend, I guess probably best to just
<v Speaker 2>spend it mostly with your Valentine or Gallentine. I guess,
<v Speaker 2>you know, because they have that thing where, you know,
<v Speaker 2>women that don't have a date get together. I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>it's I saw a nice store the other day, so
<v Speaker 2>oh that's right, So spend you know, spend it. Spend
<v Speaker 2>it with me doing the next tier review on the
<v Speaker 2>on the Sunday after. But Vengeance Day, it's we're moving forward.
<v Speaker 2>Vengeance Day is coming about, and this episode had a
<v Speaker 2>lot of this is uh setting up for Vengeance Day,
<v Speaker 2>which I'm gonna get into as the show goes on.
<v Speaker 2>So again, we you know, we were we were from Atlanta, Georgia.
<v Speaker 2>I love the outside of the performance center, the small
<v Speaker 2>arenas so like and I and I mentioned this, I
<v Speaker 2>think when the last time they were in a small arena,
<v Speaker 2>which may have been on New Year's Evil, I believe,
<v Speaker 2>and on the you know, like the first week of
<v Speaker 2>the first week of January, it doesn't seem like they
<v Speaker 2>have that the hardcam, the the alpha camera that they
<v Speaker 2>do a lot of. They don't. They don't do a
<v Speaker 2>lot of the direct rain shots. So that's what that's
<v Speaker 2>what the alpha can the hard cam is and it works.
<v Speaker 2>It absolutely works. I mean the thing is you have
<v Speaker 2>to realize is if they if they do put a
<v Speaker 2>camera there, that's a whole section that they're not gonna
<v Speaker 2>be able to sell. And when you so, if you've
<v Speaker 2>ever been to a live show again an arena for
<v Speaker 2>Monday Night ar SmackDown, they have a whole section just
<v Speaker 2>locked off for the camera so that you know, they
<v Speaker 2>can have that hard can then when it faces right
<v Speaker 2>towards the ring. And it makes sense why they wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>do it for the smaller venues for NXT, because then
<v Speaker 2>they'd have they you know, that's a whole lot less
<v Speaker 2>seats than they would have to sell, So it makes sense.
<v Speaker 2>Definitely makes sense. So the first match we have by
<v Speaker 2>the way commentators again Vic, Joseph Booker, T and Corey Graves,
<v Speaker 2>And again Corey Graves comes back for the second week
<v Speaker 2>in a row. He seems more into things now, Like
<v Speaker 2>I remember he was at New Year's Evil and he
<v Speaker 2>just didn't seem like his heart was in it. Then
<v Speaker 2>there was a week that he had off, then he
<v Speaker 2>came back again last week and now he's back again
<v Speaker 2>this week and he definitely seems more into it, like
<v Speaker 2>somebody said something to him or he finally realized, you
<v Speaker 2>know what, I got to do my job, and I
<v Speaker 2>do it the right way. So and you know, Corey
<v Speaker 2>Graves listen. I would put Corey Graves in front of
<v Speaker 2>Booker two any day of the week, so I have
<v Speaker 2>no problem with that at all. Re announced her is
<v Speaker 2>Mike Rome and our first match is Bailey and Julia
<v Speaker 2>versus Roxane Perez and Cory Jade. This was a great match.
<v Speaker 2>All four of these gals are amazing wrestlers. I mean, obviously,
<v Speaker 2>Bally's Bally. She's two time Grand Slam champion, former NXT everything,
<v Speaker 2>and for you know, she basically has done it all.
<v Speaker 2>I know, in the last year she's kind of gotten
<v Speaker 2>a bad rap from well, obviously, she won the World
<v Speaker 2>Rumble last year and then had a great match like
<v Speaker 2>probably one of the best female women's matches against EO
<v Speaker 2>Sky of twenty twenty four, and then all of a
<v Speaker 2>sudden Bailey, who like it was just for the entire
<v Speaker 2>time she was champion. Between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, you barely
<v Speaker 2>heard anything from her. She's starting to pick up a
<v Speaker 2>little bit more now she's she's on Raw again, and
<v Speaker 2>I feel like she's picking up momentum now being on
<v Speaker 2>an XT as well to the point now, well we'll
<v Speaker 2>talk about this later, but now she's part of the
<v Speaker 2>women's title match at Vengeance Day, which we're gonna talk
<v Speaker 2>about later. So this was a good match, the tag
<v Speaker 2>team match between Julia and Bailey versus courje Aide and
<v Speaker 2>Roxanne Perez. Great match. A little bit of dissension between
<v Speaker 2>Courage Aide and Roxanne Perez, so that's gonna be interesting
<v Speaker 2>to see how that plays out, and actually played out
<v Speaker 2>more later on as well. Just at the end of
<v Speaker 2>the match, Julia had a running knee strike for a
<v Speaker 2>two count. Bailey started rowing with Perez, and Perez dump
<v Speaker 2>Bailly out of the ring. Bailey throws pres into a
<v Speaker 2>steel barricade. And by the way, these barricades that they
<v Speaker 2>had at these small, small venues are the old school barricades,
<v Speaker 2>like the old metal ones they had in the eighties
<v Speaker 2>and nineties, but they're covered with the with a stretchy
<v Speaker 2>thing that's about that says WWE on it. So when
<v Speaker 2>you run into these things, it's not like running into
<v Speaker 2>those big padded things at the Performance Center or at
<v Speaker 2>the Raw and SmackDown shows. I mean, these things are
<v Speaker 2>metal and you're running into metal anyway. Bailey then starts
<v Speaker 2>to brow Perez. Perez dumps Bailly out of the ring,
<v Speaker 2>throws into the steel barricade. Julia blocks the double under
<v Speaker 2>dadt and headbuds Jade. Julie then tags Bailey in and
<v Speaker 2>Bailey connects with the flying elbow drops. So like and
<v Speaker 2>by the way, I believe so Julia Bailey has does
<v Speaker 2>the flying elbow drop as a homage to Shaw Michaels
<v Speaker 2>because Shawn Michaels that was one of his big moves
<v Speaker 2>that he did at the end of the matches. So
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure that she wanted to win with the with
<v Speaker 2>the elbow drop as as again as an homatch to
<v Speaker 2>Shawn Michaels. So but she did end up picking up
<v Speaker 2>the victory. So Bailey and Julie went via pinfall. Great match.
<v Speaker 2>It's a great match, And I like how they started
<v Speaker 2>with it, like right out the gate, like this is
<v Speaker 2>what we're showing you tonight here. It is cool. Then
<v Speaker 2>we have a promo for Eddie Thorpe. Okay, I really
<v Speaker 2>I really could do with that. Eddie Thorpe. I think
<v Speaker 2>I've said this before. He's he's just he's not interesting.
<v Speaker 2>Like even even when he was paulling the Shenanigans to
<v Speaker 2>get himself into a title shot, it was like the
<v Speaker 2>whole the whole thing wasn't interesting. And then and then
<v Speaker 2>so again, I know I'm saying the same things over
<v Speaker 2>again that I have we to we And if you're listening,
<v Speaker 2>and believe me, if you're listening and you're listening to
<v Speaker 2>me every week, say this, say sat the similar things.
<v Speaker 2>I'm actually appreciative that you know that. But like you know,
<v Speaker 2>ob family win's the Iron survivor. He has a right
<v Speaker 2>to challenge Trick Williams. It should have been a one
<v Speaker 2>on one match. Eddie throws himself in there. You know,
<v Speaker 2>I have a huge issue with that. But then Eddie
<v Speaker 2>wasn't even in the match most of the match, and
<v Speaker 2>he was not even a part of the decision of
<v Speaker 2>the match. So what's the point anyway, So he did
<v Speaker 2>a promo on Eddie Thorpe and he talks about his
<v Speaker 2>people and this, I mean, it's not interesting. Like, listen,
<v Speaker 2>he native, he's Native American. The atrocities that they suffer horrible.
<v Speaker 2>I get that, but you know what, he's not a
<v Speaker 2>likable person and it's just annoying. It's he's just annoying,
<v Speaker 2>and it's something like he's a good heal about it,
<v Speaker 2>Like even Paige is the quintessential heal, the quintessential Andythorpe
<v Speaker 2>was just an annoying heel that happened. So moving on,
<v Speaker 2>then we have the Grayson Waller effect, which which their
<v Speaker 2>guest was Oba Femi and Grayson. Grayson Waller and Austin
<v Speaker 2>Theory kind of kind of hosted it together, which if
<v Speaker 2>you don't know, I mean, if you don't, THENK you're
<v Speaker 2>not paying attention. Austin Theory is from Atlanta. The whole
<v Speaker 2>a town down is eighth is is Atlanta a town,
<v Speaker 2>And so he actually got a huge pop, and like,
<v Speaker 2>I actually really appreciate the fans seen you look a lot,
<v Speaker 2>you know, because obviously the night before you had Xavier
<v Speaker 2>Woods and everybody was booing him even though he's from Atlanta.
<v Speaker 2>And so when Austin Theory came out, I was hoping
<v Speaker 2>they weren't going to boom and they didn't. They actually
<v Speaker 2>cheered him and there was actually one funny exchange while
<v Speaker 2>they were talking and the fans were cheering, uh, turn on, Grayson,
<v Speaker 2>turn on, Grayson, and so goes, oh, you're ready, and
<v Speaker 2>then he turns his back and Grayson will goesh, don't
<v Speaker 2>you turn your back on me in like a joking way.
<v Speaker 2>It was really it was. It was a fun thing.
<v Speaker 2>It was basically, you know, obviously we've all been waiting patiently.
<v Speaker 2>At this point, we don't even care anymore. Essentially, if
<v Speaker 2>you listen to Matt you he'll say the same thing
<v Speaker 2>that you know, they tease the breakup and then they
<v Speaker 2>didn't break up and now they're cool again. It is
<v Speaker 2>what it is. So anyway, Sir Grayson Waller and Austin
<v Speaker 2>Theory you're kind of introducing Oba Femi and having like this,
<v Speaker 2>this blue, playful banter. It was. This was actually pretty fun.
<v Speaker 2>And then the last so then Oba Femi comes down.
<v Speaker 2>He starts to say the NXT Championship is exactly where
<v Speaker 2>it needs to be, when Austin Theory says so, and
<v Speaker 2>then he says, so you invited me here to your
<v Speaker 2>show to tell me that you don't see my potential.
<v Speaker 2>That's very funny because I've never seen either of you
<v Speaker 2>as NXT champion. And I was right, because neither of
<v Speaker 2>you ever been at NXT champion. I think it's safe
<v Speaker 2>to say that in two years I've accomplished more than
<v Speaker 2>the both of you did an NXT combined. Yeah, that's true,
<v Speaker 2>that's true. I mean, oh if I mean, we're you know,
<v Speaker 2>he's just kind of getting a little less screen before
<v Speaker 2>he goes to the main roster. At this point, Grayson
<v Speaker 2>Waller says, hey, don't get it twisted. I understand that
<v Speaker 2>you're well, you've done here, and you've done a lot
<v Speaker 2>of things in N S T NXT, but you're only
<v Speaker 2>here tonight because I want to see it for myself.
<v Speaker 2>Is Grayce and Waller saying this. I want you to
<v Speaker 2>know the hype. I want to know if the hype
<v Speaker 2>was real because there's levels of this game. And yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you're a NXT champion, but Russell Wing here, forty a
<v Speaker 2>town down under, we're standing on top of a letter
<v Speaker 2>w w E Tag Team champions while you were in
<v Speaker 2>the suites with your little NXT jacket on, sipping a
<v Speaker 2>juice box, hoping, wishing, praying, and one day you can
<v Speaker 2>do what we're doing. So because these guys are really funny,
<v Speaker 2>so Oba says, you guys have all this talk about
<v Speaker 2>being champions, climbing the latter at WrestleMania. But after everything
<v Speaker 2>is said and done, I don't see no titles. And
<v Speaker 2>that's your problem. That exactly what both of you are
<v Speaker 2>where you are right now because of your big mouths,
<v Speaker 2>your lips, especially you Waller. Your lips keep trying to
<v Speaker 2>write checks that your hands can't cash. You think I
<v Speaker 2>got where I am by running my mouth. I'm budding
<v Speaker 2>dynasty here, brick Bye, I'm sorry. I'm building a dynasty here,
<v Speaker 2>brick by bit trust me, it will be built. And
<v Speaker 2>you know what you like moments, you like ples, you
<v Speaker 2>like the title opportunities. Here's one for you. Two weeks Washington,
<v Speaker 2>d C. February fifteenth, Vengeance Day. Now the question is
<v Speaker 2>which one of you will step up? And so this
<v Speaker 2>is on going back and forth between Ava and Oba
<v Speaker 2>Fami about how Oba keeps trying to make title matches.
<v Speaker 2>Oba chiefs trying to make title matches. Then she said, oh,
<v Speaker 2>but that's my job. I'm the general manager. I make
<v Speaker 2>the title matches. And then she ends up making the
<v Speaker 2>title match that he suggests it kind of happened this
<v Speaker 2>time too, but we'll talk about it in a second.
<v Speaker 2>So she says, so Ava comes out and says, let's
<v Speaker 2>dial it back before things get to out of hand,
<v Speaker 2>and just want to come out to remind you once
<v Speaker 2>again that as much as you would love to, you
<v Speaker 2>don't make matches around here. I do. And then Trick
<v Speaker 2>Williams comes out and he says that title is mine
<v Speaker 2>and you know it. And they then Trick wipes out
<v Speaker 2>a toown down Under and then Obad drops him with
<v Speaker 2>a fall from Grace. Now, the reason why this is
<v Speaker 2>a big deal is because right after the Grace and
<v Speaker 2>Waller effect, he's supposed to have a match with Wes Slay.
<v Speaker 2>We're gonna talk about that in a second. Then we
<v Speaker 2>go to commercial, and then when we come back, Sarah
<v Speaker 2>Striver is talking to is he Dame and asks her
<v Speaker 2>this is out. Actually, they actually didn't do this backstage.
<v Speaker 2>They did this at the what they would call at
<v Speaker 2>Sara Knight's main event, the gene Oakerland area of the
<v Speaker 2>of the you know, kind of like on the stage
<v Speaker 2>but off to the side. So that was kind of interesting.
<v Speaker 2>So anyway, Sarah Schreiber's asking is he Dame, Hey, what's
<v Speaker 2>truly going on with relationship with the family and Tony
<v Speaker 2>DiAngelo and she says, everybody wants to know what's going
<v Speaker 2>on between is He and Tony, but there's nothing going on.
<v Speaker 2>They're not even friends, but they share a common enemy
<v Speaker 2>and Sean Spears. Long story short, Tony came to her
<v Speaker 2>aid when Spears was stalking her, so she returned the
<v Speaker 2>favor by helping him retain the North American Championship. And
<v Speaker 2>then Ridge Holland comes in calls is He a liar
<v Speaker 2>and Ridge is about to call her a B word
<v Speaker 2>again PG show, so I'm not gonna say the word
<v Speaker 2>before Stax comes out and asks if Ridge has a problem.
<v Speaker 2>Ridge doesn't want to talk to Tony D's lackey and
<v Speaker 2>tells tells Stax to get out of his face. Then
<v Speaker 2>we go to the second match. So now the second
<v Speaker 2>match is Trick Williams versus Wesley and as so often
<v Speaker 2>is done, and this drives me insane. How many times
<v Speaker 2>do we go into a match where the babyface Trick
<v Speaker 2>Williams is at an immediate disadvantage. And I'm not talking
<v Speaker 2>about Trick, I'm talking about so many matches that we
<v Speaker 2>have where this person, well, this person's gonna bum me
<v Speaker 2>or a bum back or blah blah, blah, and so
<v Speaker 2>they come out in this stage of I'm already hurt
<v Speaker 2>and now I have a match, whether it happened right
<v Speaker 2>before the match or whether it happened you know, previously,
<v Speaker 2>and they have tape that tape. Oh my god, it's like,
<v Speaker 2>look at me, I have a back injury. I have
<v Speaker 2>tape on my back or shoulder or whatever. So this
<v Speaker 2>is another example. And then what happens is if the
<v Speaker 2>Babyface wins, it's yay, they beat the odds against because
<v Speaker 2>they were injured and they still want or if they lose,
<v Speaker 2>it's well, the reason why they lost is because they
<v Speaker 2>were injured before. So no matter what, the baby Face
<v Speaker 2>comes out on top, even if they lose, which like
<v Speaker 2>like it happens way too much, Like I don't mind
<v Speaker 2>it happening every now and again, but it happens way
<v Speaker 2>too much, and not just n XT but on SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>on Raw, Like how many times have you have you
<v Speaker 2>have you seen? Oh the baby Face is coming out
<v Speaker 2>and they're hurt, but hopefully they'll still win. This was
<v Speaker 2>another example of that. It was a listen, it was
<v Speaker 2>a good match trick. Williams was hurt by a befem
<v Speaker 2>prior to the match, but they did. They did a
<v Speaker 2>great job. Like Wesley and and Trick Williams. You can't
<v Speaker 2>you can't lose with that match like it was. It
<v Speaker 2>was just it was great. Referee lost control at the
<v Speaker 2>end of the match and Williams, Trick Williams stumps on
<v Speaker 2>Lee's chest, Williams and shoves referee down, which which forces
<v Speaker 2>a disqualification. So that this was part of the issue
<v Speaker 2>that I have with this match too. So you've got
<v Speaker 2>so Wesley has Tyson DuPont and Tyreek Egway out with him.
<v Speaker 2>They are getting involved without actually hitting Trick, but they're
<v Speaker 2>getting involved like all over the place, and Trick has
<v Speaker 2>nobody with him. But in the end, even though they
<v Speaker 2>weren't sent away or Wesley wasn't disqualified because officially they didn't,
<v Speaker 2>they didn't hit Trick Williams, Trick Williams and tosses the
<v Speaker 2>referee because he gets ticked at he's trying to like
<v Speaker 2>stop him from beating on Wesley. And then Trick Williams
<v Speaker 2>gets disqualified. So that was kind of a crappy ending.
<v Speaker 2>These two need to go again. It needs to go again.
<v Speaker 2>Hopefully at Vengeance Day they'll go again and it'll be
<v Speaker 2>a real match with a real ending. I mean, this
<v Speaker 2>was a good match until the ending and I just stunk. Anyway,
<v Speaker 2>Ava then has said she has had it with Oh
<v Speaker 2>this is backstage again. Evin said she's had with Oba
<v Speaker 2>Femi trying to overstep her and he doesn't have the
<v Speaker 2>power to make matches. At Vengeance Day, Oba will put
<v Speaker 2>in the NXT Championship on lying against Austin Theory and
<v Speaker 2>Grayson Waller in a triple threat match, So that will
<v Speaker 2>be interesting. I mean, there's no way Oba Fami's gonna
<v Speaker 2>lose this match. He's going and he's gonna be going
<v Speaker 2>into Santa Delivered with the title. The question is I
<v Speaker 2>guess the only question is our Our Our Theory and
<v Speaker 2>while are going to be on the same page. But
<v Speaker 2>they've they've already teased that they're not doing the They're
<v Speaker 2>not doing the they're not doing the split anymore, it
<v Speaker 2>seems like, so we'll just we'll see. I guess we'll
<v Speaker 2>see what happens. It's gonna be a good match, but
<v Speaker 2>I mean, Oba Femi's just gonna beat up two guys
<v Speaker 2>instead of one, so that's one of the so so
<v Speaker 2>the main so it looks sounds like the main event
<v Speaker 2>or the men's title match will be Oba Femi versus
<v Speaker 2>is a Town down Under separately.
<v Speaker 1>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>Then Ava storms into the men's locker room to confront
<v Speaker 2>Trick Williams. Uh Trick doesn't believe that waller theory deserve
<v Speaker 2>a title shot. Ava then says Trick has to has
<v Speaker 2>the opportunity to prove his point next week when he
<v Speaker 2>and Oba Femi face a town down Under in a
<v Speaker 2>tag team match. That is more interesting to me. That
<v Speaker 2>is actually more interesting to me. I'm gonna they have
<v Speaker 2>two weeks to get things together for the for the match,
<v Speaker 2>the triple threat match. But to me, putting Obae and
<v Speaker 2>Trick Williams in the same match against a town down
<v Speaker 2>Under that will be interesting, all right. So then then
<v Speaker 2>the third match we have, it's a n x T
<v Speaker 2>Women's North American Championship match against with Fallon Hanley going
<v Speaker 2>against Shatzi and the winner, the person that ends up
<v Speaker 2>being the North American Champion will then be going against
<v Speaker 2>Uh Stephanie Veaker at Vengeance Day. This is a pretty
<v Speaker 2>good match. Shots. He's crazy, like, I love SHOTSI because
<v Speaker 2>she doesn't. She doesn't give care in the world about
<v Speaker 2>anything as far as you know, safety goes. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>the way she plays it out Falent Henley, like I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, I don't really care for her as North
<v Speaker 2>American champion. The last good positive I guess, uh memory
<v Speaker 2>I have of Fallon Henley was when she was having
<v Speaker 2>Tiffany last like a year ago. I guess it was
<v Speaker 2>about a year ago at this point, a little over
<v Speaker 2>Yere where she had Tiffany Stratton fucking horse stalls and
<v Speaker 2>like high here boots, high heeled boots like that to
<v Speaker 2>me was was good Fallon Henley. Now I just with her,
<v Speaker 2>her with Jacy Jane and and uh Jasmine Nicks, like
<v Speaker 2>you know, the fatal influence gals. I just it's just
<v Speaker 2>not it doesn't do anything for me. I will say,
<v Speaker 2>having you three on three with the you know so
<v Speaker 2>now so now you know Vllan Henley has her gals
<v Speaker 2>and then shots he has her her her women come
<v Speaker 2>out with Gigi and Tantum Pasley. And I love that
<v Speaker 2>Tantum Paxley has people now because ever since Lara val
<v Speaker 2>Carey went to the main roster, she's kind of been alone.
<v Speaker 2>But now she's got her, She's got her people, which
<v Speaker 2>you know I love Tantum Pasley, so I think I
<v Speaker 2>say that all the time too, but doesn't make it.
<v Speaker 2>I'm true. Uh, this was a decent match. Like again,
<v Speaker 2>I like Shotsy a lot. I like the fact that
<v Speaker 2>she has a I don't care attitude when it comes
<v Speaker 2>to the match as far as putting her body on
<v Speaker 2>the line. But ultimately, and of course we knew all
<v Speaker 2>knew this was gonna happen. Henley had used a fleeping
<v Speaker 2>footstop and modified exploder suplex and then she connected with
<v Speaker 2>the hoe down, which is basically her jumping up and
<v Speaker 2>leg dropping somebody on the matt on the back of
<v Speaker 2>their head sort of, I guess. So the winner of
<v Speaker 2>the match then, so the winner and still champion of
<v Speaker 2>course is fallon Henley. And then at the end of
<v Speaker 2>the match, she goes up to the top of the
<v Speaker 2>ramp and Stephanie ve Kerk comes out and they have
<v Speaker 2>a bit of a stare down. So that was pretty interesting.
<v Speaker 2>I will I forgot to mention this before. So they
<v Speaker 2>had the and I know TNA does this a lot
<v Speaker 2>with their venues because they use the smaller venues as well.
<v Speaker 2>They had the ramp come out straight directly to the ring,
<v Speaker 2>and it gave. For those of you that are old
<v Speaker 2>enough to remember this, it reminded me of the old
<v Speaker 2>Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto when they used to so
<v Speaker 2>back to like Prime Time Wrestling pre raw they used
<v Speaker 2>to do. They used to show matches and different venues
<v Speaker 2>and then the Maple Leaf Gardens they had they always
<v Speaker 2>had the ramp goes straight into the ring. For some reason,
<v Speaker 2>it was the only venue that did that, and I
<v Speaker 2>don't know why. But if you guys, anybody knows why,
<v Speaker 2>please let me know. I thought that was pretty interesting.
<v Speaker 2>But anyway, so the ramp going in straight into the
<v Speaker 2>ring with no there was no space in between the
<v Speaker 2>ramp and the and the ring it was it reminded
<v Speaker 2>me of that. I don't know why they did that,
<v Speaker 2>maybe just for space purposes. But anyway, then we have Sorry,
<v Speaker 2>I'm going fast. I don't know why. Carmen and Petrovitch
<v Speaker 2>she wanted to thank Colonie Jordan for having her back
<v Speaker 2>during her match with Jada Parker the last few weeks.
<v Speaker 2>Colonie says she wasn't trying to help Carmen, she was
<v Speaker 2>trying to get revenge on Jada and Colonie's new attitude
<v Speaker 2>continues to kind of come about. Colonie says sooner or later,
<v Speaker 2>Ashanta the Adonis will dump her, and Carmen calls Colonia
<v Speaker 2>bitch as she walks away. Sorry, I said the word.
<v Speaker 2>If you have kids in the car, I apologize. Sorry. Kids.
<v Speaker 2>Then Avas Store informs Sarah Schreiber that at Vengeance Dage,
<v Speaker 2>Juliet will be putting in putting her NXT Women's championship
<v Speaker 2>on the line against Bailey and Roxanne Perez in a
<v Speaker 2>triple threat match. Kora Jade was not happy about this
<v Speaker 2>at all and walked away, and then Roxanne was like,
<v Speaker 2>oh my god, I'm sorry. I thought my well, you know,
<v Speaker 2>it's I don't know. We'll have I guess there may
<v Speaker 2>be a falling out there, but we'll have to see
<v Speaker 2>what happens. The fourth match we have is Ethan Page
<v Speaker 2>versus Cedric Alexander. This is a rematch from a couple
<v Speaker 2>of weeks ago when Ethan Page slammed Cedric Alexander's hand
<v Speaker 2>into the toolbox and so Cedric Alexander again. The baby
<v Speaker 2>face is hurt before the match. It's a very it's
<v Speaker 2>a very common it's a very common uh thing that
<v Speaker 2>they do. They it is what it is. And then
<v Speaker 2>eventually when Javone Evans comes back, he's got the same
<v Speaker 2>thing's gonna happen with him against Ethan Page. So so,
<v Speaker 2>Cedric Alexander had a had like a cast, like a
<v Speaker 2>brace cast on his on his left hand. This is
<v Speaker 2>a decent match, Cedria Alexander. Let me tell you. Like so,
<v Speaker 2>I started watching again about two and a half years ago.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't even barely knew who Cedric Galaxy. I knew
<v Speaker 2>he was there, but not really And now that he's
<v Speaker 2>an NXT like, I like the way the way he
<v Speaker 2>does things better. He he's he's he's decent, he's a
<v Speaker 2>good wrestler, and I think and it's it's kind of
<v Speaker 2>like Baron Corbyn last year when he came went to NXT,
<v Speaker 2>he kind of revitalized his career even though that he's
<v Speaker 2>not there anymore. It's similar to Cedric Glexander, like he's
<v Speaker 2>come back and he's kind of revitalized things. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>he's he's not the center of attention, but he's he's
<v Speaker 2>really good. I really like him a lot. But y'all
<v Speaker 2>know what I think about Ethan Page, the quintessential heel.
<v Speaker 2>He just is so good at what he does, and
<v Speaker 2>and and I am so not surprised that they chose
<v Speaker 2>to have the one wrestler when the Rock was at
<v Speaker 2>New Year's Evil, that he was the one wrestler to
<v Speaker 2>have that interaction beside Dava to have the interaction with
<v Speaker 2>the Rock, because is it's just he's so good, he's
<v Speaker 2>so good about about what he does. And this was
<v Speaker 2>this was a decent match as well. Like I said,
<v Speaker 2>most I think all the matches here were good in
<v Speaker 2>their own right. This wasn't the best match of the
<v Speaker 2>night that was at the end, but it was. It
<v Speaker 2>was a decent match. And eventually, of course, of course
<v Speaker 2>Ethan Page, the dastardly healed that he is starts working
<v Speaker 2>on the hand and you know, Teddrick Alexander's crying about
<v Speaker 2>the hand hurting, and at the end, out Sadric Galaxander
<v Speaker 2>goes for the neutral laser where Page counts it with
<v Speaker 2>a running boot, connects with the cutter and he picks
<v Speaker 2>up the victory. So he did like an r KO cutter,
<v Speaker 2>or like I guess I would compare it to the
<v Speaker 2>to the the Jeff Hardy the cutter that he does
<v Speaker 2>if you, if you, if that makes sense. I don't
<v Speaker 2>remember him using a cutter to win his matches in
<v Speaker 2>the past. I don't remember what his with his finishing was,
<v Speaker 2>but I don't remember it being a cutter. But he
<v Speaker 2>that's what he used to win. Like I guess, I
<v Speaker 2>guess that the best, the best way to compare it
<v Speaker 2>is that Jeff the Jeff hardy thing that he does
<v Speaker 2>the finisher anyway, and javan Evans and after the match
<v Speaker 2>comes out because you know, Ethan Page couldn't help himself
<v Speaker 2>and starts beating the crap more out of Cedric Alexander.
<v Speaker 2>Javan Evans comes out still not medically cleared to compete,
<v Speaker 2>but decides to come out anyway and basically beat the
<v Speaker 2>crop out of Ethan Page and closed lines Page over
<v Speaker 2>the top rope. So still the winner of the match,
<v Speaker 2>Ethan Page. So next week on NXT, Stephanie V Kerr
<v Speaker 2>will battle J. C. Jane of Fatal Influence. There's an
<v Speaker 2>annexed he summit with Julia Bailey and Roxane Perez. They
<v Speaker 2>got to build up I understand because right now, like
<v Speaker 2>Bailly and Julia were just a tag team and there's
<v Speaker 2>really aside from Bailey staring at the title for five seconds.
<v Speaker 2>There really wasn't isn't any animosity between Bailey and Julius,
<v Speaker 2>so they have to kind of build that up. And
<v Speaker 2>then you know, Roxyane Perez. You know, obviously she's she's
<v Speaker 2>still doing the things that she's doing, which is great.
<v Speaker 2>Next week also we have Rich Holland against Stacks as
<v Speaker 2>a result of the interaction I mentioned earlier, and then
<v Speaker 2>Kalone Jordan against Karmen Petrovitch again for the interaction that
<v Speaker 2>we said before. Before I said before Josh Briggs and
<v Speaker 2>Yokishi and Nimura, they had a little vignette. You know,
<v Speaker 2>they're talking about getting a tag team title match. I
<v Speaker 2>have yet to see them on TV in a match
<v Speaker 2>maybe once, like why do you deserve a match? Faxine
<v Speaker 2>wasn't even there this week. They weren't even on TV
<v Speaker 2>this week. And from what I hear, they had a
<v Speaker 2>banger match Thursday against the Rascals which in the ended
<v Speaker 2>up winning. And also I've been hearing that now the
<v Speaker 2>Hardy Boys who are the tag team champs and TNA
<v Speaker 2>are starting to talk about praxium now because they've been
<v Speaker 2>They've been on TNA too, So let me tell you
<v Speaker 2>Praxium against the Hardy Boys that I just actually just
<v Speaker 2>posted about it on X like, that's gonna be an
<v Speaker 2>amazing That's gonna be an amazing match. Hopefully it's not
<v Speaker 2>on TNA. Hopefully it's on NXT. If not, I'll have
<v Speaker 2>I may have to start watching TNA full time. I
<v Speaker 2>just I don't get that channel. I don't get access channel,
<v Speaker 2>so it's hard to watch it. Okay, sorry for the aside.
<v Speaker 2>I apologize. Moving on, the last match we have is
<v Speaker 2>Bianca and Naomi against the Metaphor Women for the Tag
<v Speaker 2>Team Championship. Listen this this match. I'm happy he was
<v Speaker 2>on n XT. It was great on XT. I'm glad
<v Speaker 2>they got to pop that they did. This was a
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown or or pl e match. Bianca is Bianca, Like,
<v Speaker 2>do you even have to talk about her and Naomi
<v Speaker 2>former champion? I heard a lot Jordan Grace did did
<v Speaker 2>an interview recently and she talked a lot about Quote Trinity,
<v Speaker 2>which is which was Naomi's name in TNA before she
<v Speaker 2>came back to WWE. They're both great, so much better
<v Speaker 2>than Jade Cargo. Let's not even get into that. And
<v Speaker 2>the Metaphor girls are like they they they've already been
<v Speaker 2>on Raw, They've already been on SmackDown. Heck, they already
<v Speaker 2>were in sauny Arabia for p L. They're not NXT anymore.
<v Speaker 2>I mean yeah, they were talking, oh if if they won,
<v Speaker 2>then they bringing the NXT or then they bring the
<v Speaker 2>w W tag titles back to NXT. Like no, like,
<v Speaker 2>just just get him up to the main roster. I'm again,
<v Speaker 2>I'm happy this match. This was a phenomenal match. I'm
<v Speaker 2>happy this match was on NXT. Give him a little push,
<v Speaker 2>give an XT a little push. That's great. But Jacara, like, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>lash Legend is amazing for a woman her size and
<v Speaker 2>her strength to do some of the things. They had
<v Speaker 2>the whole thing where she did a back a backflip
<v Speaker 2>into a moonsaw like like and I've seen that all
<v Speaker 2>over X because it's like it's amazing. I mean, like
<v Speaker 2>Bianca is athletic, but she's tinier, but lash Legend is
<v Speaker 2>a big, like strong, tall woman that is athletic as
<v Speaker 2>you know what. Like she really needs to like even
<v Speaker 2>both like her and Jakara, like they're they're good. They're
<v Speaker 2>a good offset of each other. They need to be
<v Speaker 2>on the main roster, and obviously Naomi and I thought
<v Speaker 2>it was quite interesting actually that we had a lot
<v Speaker 2>of main roster people on on the episode of an
<v Speaker 2>NXT this week, be It Bailey, we had Bianca and
<v Speaker 2>Naomi and I feel like I'm missing someone, but it
<v Speaker 2>doesn't matter anyway. So this was a great match. What
<v Speaker 2>a couple of segments it was. It was a lot
<v Speaker 2>of back and forth, a lot of like just they're
<v Speaker 2>all so good. And at the end, Naomi kicks Jackson
<v Speaker 2>in the face standing switch exchange, Belair sends a Legend
<v Speaker 2>tumbling to the floor. Bel Air whips the legend to
<v Speaker 2>the steel ring. Post second roll up exchange, Naomi then
<v Speaker 2>tags in bel Air. Bel Air thrust kicks the midsection
<v Speaker 2>of Jackson and Belair, and Naomi plant Jackson with the
<v Speaker 2>double Kod to pick up the victory. So, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it's not a surprise. I think of the tag team
<v Speaker 2>titles are going to change eventually. They're gonna change. Not
<v Speaker 2>on NXT, but all four of these ladies could be
<v Speaker 2>you should be on them. They should rerun this match
<v Speaker 2>again on the main roster so that people because obviously
<v Speaker 2>we all know there's a lot of people that watch
<v Speaker 2>NXT that don't. There's a lot of people that watch
<v Speaker 2>a main and roster, a lot of people that don't
<v Speaker 2>watch NXT, but they deserve to see that match again,
<v Speaker 2>so they should run it back on Rawer SmackDown. Absolutely,
<v Speaker 2>So that was that was the episode I said. Overall,
<v Speaker 2>like I said, it was a it was a good episode.
<v Speaker 2>It was a really solid episode. I can't wait for
<v Speaker 2>Vengeance Day. It's going to be interesting next week. From
<v Speaker 2>what I can tell, It's just going to be at
<v Speaker 2>the Performance Center again, which is which is fine. February fifteenth,
