<v Speaker 1>All right, welcome to the WWE Podcast. No intro today,
<v Speaker 1>just right to business as Night of Champions comes to
<v Speaker 1>us tomorrow afternoon. Well depending on where you are, of course,
<v Speaker 1>it's coming to us one pm Eastern Time tomorrow. Kind
<v Speaker 1>of an odd time for wrestling show, but it is
<v Speaker 1>what it is. In Ri odd Saudi Arabia, the show
<v Speaker 1>is on. If you haven't already guessed, there's no chance
<v Speaker 1>of it being canceled. There were a lot of rumors,
<v Speaker 1>but we're moving forward. It seems like they were WWE,
<v Speaker 1>that is, is certainly more invested in making sure that
<v Speaker 1>they are fulfilling the contract with Saudi Arabia, and hey money,
<v Speaker 1>they were projected to make fifty million dollars from this event,
<v Speaker 1>and as long as they don't believe any of the
<v Speaker 1>safety of their talent and or those in the stadium
<v Speaker 1>are at risk, then they're just moving on. And it
<v Speaker 1>seems like that's what they're doing. And I really don't
<v Speaker 1>blame them. I know that that may really some of
<v Speaker 1>you may really disagree with that, but if they are
<v Speaker 1>control actually obligated to fulfill this event and there are
<v Speaker 1>no real imminent threats, then move on, right, Just just
<v Speaker 1>do the show, and that's what they're doing. So all right,
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get to the predictions in just a second.

<v Speaker 1>Apple podcasts, so subscribe. All right, let's go to the
<v Speaker 1>very first match this I'm going for through Bleacher Report.
<v Speaker 1>In terms of their projected match order, they're very well
<v Speaker 1>maybe right, it seems certainly like it's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a very reasonable order of the matches here, So let's
<v Speaker 1>go through them. Sammy's Ain versus Carrying Cross. Sammy's Ain absolutely.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you got to have a babyface open the show. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>the one that gets people on their feet, gets the
<v Speaker 1>you know, the noise level up. And Sammy's Ain is
<v Speaker 1>the perfect guy for that. And so he's thinking on
<v Speaker 1>Carrying Cross here. One good thing too about this before
<v Speaker 1>I get into the actual match itself. I I'm happy
<v Speaker 1>for Carrying Cross getting a one on one match at
<v Speaker 1>a pl Right. We didn't see a whole lot of
<v Speaker 1>change creatively since the whole WrestleMania promo that exploded for
<v Speaker 1>Carrying and then it got lost and he's gotten a
<v Speaker 1>little bit of backstage stuff Sammy's Ain this past week
<v Speaker 1>he punches Sammy Zay punch him in the face, and
<v Speaker 1>it seemed like it was a setup for Carrying, and
<v Speaker 1>he's trying to discourage Sammy that he'll ever be champion.
<v Speaker 1>It's nice to see some consistency and for Carrying to
<v Speaker 1>get a one on one match here on a on
<v Speaker 1>a pl E, big deal if you're a Carrying Cross fan.
<v Speaker 1>Now here's the bad news. Carrying Cross is an all
<v Speaker 1>likelihood going to lose. Sammy's Ain is a heavy favorite here,
<v Speaker 1>and with good reason. There's this undercurrent storyline going on
<v Speaker 1>that Sammy's Ain will never capture the World Championship, and
<v Speaker 1>then we have you know, some stars saying on air,
<v Speaker 1>oh no, you will event you'll be a future World champion.
<v Speaker 1>You keep getting at it, kid. Sammy's Ain forever is
<v Speaker 1>playing this underdog character. I don't know when we're ever
<v Speaker 1>going to get to the point where he's not an underdog,
<v Speaker 1>at least he's not from the underground anymore. So there's
<v Speaker 1>baby steps, I guess, But Sammy's Ain's character and his
<v Speaker 1>music and his look, I don't think he'll ever be
<v Speaker 1>able to shake the underdog character, underdog feel, even if
<v Speaker 1>that's not explicitly the story they're trying to tell. But
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's Ain here taking on carrying cross. Sammy has to
<v Speaker 1>win if there's any chance of Sammy's Ain moving forward
<v Speaker 1>towards an eventual World Championship victory. And that's I think
<v Speaker 1>where they're headed now, that they could actually have a
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's Ain versus Gunther match. Remember Sammy z Ain's the
<v Speaker 1>one that took the Intercontinental title off of Gunther at WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>It'd be very poetic for samy' z Ain to take
<v Speaker 1>the World Championship off of Gunther maybe at WrestleMania forty two.
<v Speaker 1>That's actually what I'd be aiming for, to be honest
<v Speaker 1>with you, If you have a plan for Sammy's ain,
<v Speaker 1>that's a perfect plan. Not that I want Guntherer to win,
<v Speaker 1>to lose, maybe he can actually win a WrestleMania match
<v Speaker 1>once in a while. I don't know why they feel
<v Speaker 1>Gunther's in this. He's already in legacy mode of giving
<v Speaker 1>back to the company already, He's not. He's just beginning
<v Speaker 1>the prime of his career, so he's I know, w
<v Speaker 1>W has been just trying to help other guys get
<v Speaker 1>made off of gun Through, but Gunther still has to
<v Speaker 1>get made himself. He still needs some damn momentum. So
<v Speaker 1>I don't want Sammy to beat Gunther if that is
<v Speaker 1>the plan, But I understand if that it is a
<v Speaker 1>at least it's a long term story. It makes sense
<v Speaker 1>they could go back to Hey, Sammy is the one
<v Speaker 1>that took the belt, the Icy Belt, top of gun
<v Speaker 1>Through a couple of years ago. Now he's gonna take
<v Speaker 1>the World Championship off of Gun through WrestleMania. Yeah, so
<v Speaker 1>we'll see if we get there, we'll see. But carrying
<v Speaker 1>Cross and sammy's Ain, I expect the match to be fine.
<v Speaker 1>We already know. Match quality is never seemingly an issue
<v Speaker 1>with really anything any any of these stars that are
<v Speaker 1>just really anybody in WWE. When's the last time he
<v Speaker 1>saw a matcher like that was just awful? You know?
<v Speaker 1>I mean outside Okay, maybe the Wrestlemanian I two main
<v Speaker 1>event for a lot of other reasons that we hated it,
<v Speaker 1>But match quality it's never usually a problem. So this
<v Speaker 1>will probably be a ten minute match. Sam's Ain gets
<v Speaker 1>the victory, he has to, Okay, moving on Street fight
<v Speaker 1>Rio Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. Again, this is the projected
<v Speaker 1>match order according to to report, and this should be
<v Speaker 1>a lot of fun. We have Rodriguez and uh, you
<v Speaker 1>know Riha getting this, meaning rivalry going on. Roxanne Perez
<v Speaker 1>is probably going to show up at some point. Obviously,
<v Speaker 1>with Live out of the equation for several months, she's
<v Speaker 1>not available, so I expect this to be fun table spots.
<v Speaker 1>Probably she'll end up beating Roquel with a my guess is,
<v Speaker 1>to be really specific, a rip tied through a slim
<v Speaker 1>gym table, it better be a slim gym table, or
<v Speaker 1>you know, she won't be able to get the victory.
<v Speaker 1>That's my guess because that was the spot that she
<v Speaker 1>was trying to hit last week, and then Roquelle ended
<v Speaker 1>up hitting it to hot a bomb on Ripley. So
<v Speaker 1>I think I turn about is fair play, and yes
<v Speaker 1>we'll have some interference. Roxane Perez will get involved. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if anybody else really is in really any
<v Speaker 1>kind of rivably with Ria that would make sense for
<v Speaker 1>her to get involved here, But that's that's my guess.
<v Speaker 1>Rea Ripley ultimately is going to get the victory and
<v Speaker 1>move on. Raquel Rodriguez has no business winning. They don't
<v Speaker 1>seem that they're ever really gonna do much with her.
<v Speaker 1>She's been a background character for quite a while. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not saying she couldn't come out to the front, but
<v Speaker 1>there's no feel there's no there's not that like that
<v Speaker 1>that underlying feeling from fans of oh she's underutilized, under pushed,
<v Speaker 1>you know, we want Rodriguez. There's none of that. It's
<v Speaker 1>just kinda we know her role as fans, we've accepted it,
<v Speaker 1>and WWE seemingly has two and Ripley is light years
<v Speaker 1>ahead of Rodriguez in star Power, So I think Ripley
<v Speaker 1>gets the victory here and it should be a fun
<v Speaker 1>match with a lot of table spots, weapons, chairs, kendo sticks,
<v Speaker 1>that kind of thing. So yeah, it'll be a violently
<v Speaker 1>fun match with Riea Ripley ultimately getting the victory here.
<v Speaker 1>I just I can't see another way unless they're trying
<v Speaker 1>to really make Rodriguez into something, but my guess is no.
<v Speaker 1>So we then move on to the United States Championship
<v Speaker 1>Jacob Fatwu versus Solo Socoa. This one has to be
<v Speaker 1>Jacob FA two winning so far the first three matches
<v Speaker 1>I feel highly confident about. There's just no need to
<v Speaker 1>fool around here. Jacob FA two is trying to cement
<v Speaker 1>himself here as a legitimate champion. Fans are still behind
<v Speaker 1>him and Solo so CoA. There's just not a place
<v Speaker 1>for him to win the championship here yet. I understand
<v Speaker 1>it's not the top belt, it's still one of the
<v Speaker 1>mid card belts US title, but Jacoba two it feels
<v Speaker 1>like he just won it and he doesn't need to
<v Speaker 1>drop it to Solo. There's really nothing here that would
<v Speaker 1>benefit Jacob for doing that, and I think fans would
<v Speaker 1>be like, what the hell, so Jacob fa two wins,
<v Speaker 1>probably some interference or some support from Jimmy Usso on
<v Speaker 1>the behalf of Jacob. I do not want to see
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy turnheel for the forty ninth time. I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to see him all. Oh my god, Jimmy Jimmy Usso
<v Speaker 1>coming out looks like he's gonna hit Solo and wham
<v Speaker 1>he hits fat two. I don't need that. It's a
<v Speaker 1>straightforward match up here, with Jacob Fatu ending up getting
<v Speaker 1>the victory over Solo Soca clean. Now, yes, you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have his minions, Solo's minions on the outside trying to
<v Speaker 1>run interferance, but again, Jimmy USO should be able to
<v Speaker 1>to uh, you know, dispatch of them pretty pretty easily,
<v Speaker 1>and Jaco Fatuo gets the victory. Queen of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>Final Oscar versus Jade Cargill. This is an interesting match
<v Speaker 1>for me, and not an easy one either, because, remember,
<v Speaker 1>as I need too often, the winners get an opportunity
<v Speaker 1>for the title at SummerSlam. So with that being the case,
<v Speaker 1>Oscar winning would be fun because if Oscar wins, then
<v Speaker 1>you're able to have a really fun main event at
<v Speaker 1>SummerSlam at the women of uh Oscar versus Tiffany Stratton,
<v Speaker 1>Jade versus Tivity Stratton, or if they want to cross
<v Speaker 1>brands because no one cares you can do you know,
<v Speaker 1>you could do Oscar on one side and then you
<v Speaker 1>can have EO Sky on the other Oscar versus EO.
<v Speaker 1>That's fun. Jade versus EO this is a I mean,
<v Speaker 1>Jade versus EO would probably be the best thing ever
<v Speaker 1>for Jade in terms of just being able to have
<v Speaker 1>her best match ever because EO's that good. But also
<v Speaker 1>it could be an exposure of how limited that you know,
<v Speaker 1>Jade Cargill is compared to EO Sky. Again, this is
<v Speaker 1>all assuming that you know you're able to cross brands.
<v Speaker 1>If they're not, then Jade versus Tiffany Stratton is also
<v Speaker 1>a fun kind of power matchup power versus Power, and
<v Speaker 1>you have Oscar versus Tivioty Stratton as well. You I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it really is something that there's no bad combination and
<v Speaker 1>if they're trying to make If they're really trying to
<v Speaker 1>make a star out of Jade, then Jade is probably
<v Speaker 1>going to win this. If they care about trying to
<v Speaker 1>build Jade, if they want a better match, then they'll
<v Speaker 1>probably go with Oscar. So still, this is not an
<v Speaker 1>easy call to make. I'm going to say that Jade
<v Speaker 1>Cargill wins because she hasn't yet got a title shot.
<v Speaker 1>I still don't think she's ready to carry the belt
<v Speaker 1>at all. And I don't mean that from obviously a
<v Speaker 1>looks perspective, more of just she still hasn't found herself
<v Speaker 1>on the mic. Fans still don't know who the hell
<v Speaker 1>she is. She's just this woman that it is so
<v Speaker 1>obsessed with how she looks. That yet it is pretty
<v Speaker 1>incredible with how she looks physically, but that's gonna fade,
<v Speaker 1>and it has faded. And I don't think fans are
<v Speaker 1>ready to embrace her as champion yet and they've you know,
<v Speaker 1>fans do love Tiffany. Fans have supported Tiffany for a
<v Speaker 1>long time now, waiting for her to win. She defeated
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte Flair at at Summer or at WrestleMania. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't think fans are ready to embrace Jade. They just
<v Speaker 1>there's no real connection with Jade. It's still all surface level,
<v Speaker 1>so they'll probably My guess is that Jade will win.
<v Speaker 1>She'll get a title shot, but I think she'll lose
<v Speaker 1>at Summer Slam. But I mean, I'm rooting for Oscar
<v Speaker 1>because I want a better match, and that's just me
<v Speaker 1>all right. On the men's side of things, the King
<v Speaker 1>of the Ring Finals for the men, we have Cody
<v Speaker 1>versus Randy Orton. Man, this is a match I really
<v Speaker 1>wish didn't have to happen until there was a turn
<v Speaker 1>by Orton or Cody, because we all know there's rumors now, oh,
<v Speaker 1>we're at the tail end of Cody's run, and that's
<v Speaker 1>what he alluded to. I hope we're at the end
<v Speaker 1>of Cody's babyface run. You guys know I've been saying
<v Speaker 1>this forever, but I really wish this match happened when
<v Speaker 1>there was a villain here. And it's not just oh,
<v Speaker 1>two good guys. I know that it's to you, two
<v Speaker 1>guys that haven't been in the ring together in a while.
<v Speaker 1>There's a lot of history there, but that's the problem
<v Speaker 1>is you're not able to pull on that history because
<v Speaker 1>it's not about a it's not a blood feud. It's
<v Speaker 1>simply about trying to get a title shot. That's it. Like,
<v Speaker 1>so you're you're really handicapping yourself by not being able
<v Speaker 1>to pull on all of their history for the last
<v Speaker 1>twenty years. So that's what sucks. And again, I was
<v Speaker 1>hoping the first time they locked up it would be,
<v Speaker 1>you know, because somebody turned heel, and that's not the case.
<v Speaker 1>Now you could still have somebody turned heel at the
<v Speaker 1>end of this, but it doesn't seem like that's the
<v Speaker 1>setup for anything. I mean, that doesn't seem like the
<v Speaker 1>timing's right on that. So Cody versus Randy, who do
<v Speaker 1>I think wins? Well, Cody Rhoades probably wins this and
<v Speaker 1>then faces John Cena in a rematch because Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>winning and facing John c and again doesn't make sense. Now,
<v Speaker 1>you could have Randy somehow sneak his way in and
<v Speaker 1>make it a triple threat at SummerSlam against John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>But I think you're gonna have Cody Rhods win. We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna get John Cena Versus Cody Rhodes Part two at
<v Speaker 1>at Wrestling. I'm sorry, that's SummerSlam. So that's my uh,
<v Speaker 1>that's my best guess here. Now, one thing I forgot
<v Speaker 1>to mention Jacob versus Solo Socoa. You could well, Actually, no,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna say it because I think what I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna the return I'm thinking of that you're all thinking of.
<v Speaker 1>You think would be Fat two versus Solo, But it's
<v Speaker 1>more likely for the next match here of John Cena
<v Speaker 1>versus Campunk for the w WE Championship, and that is
<v Speaker 1>the return of Roman reigns. Now, if Roman does return,
<v Speaker 1>I I don't want it to have I don't want
<v Speaker 1>it to be where John Cena loses the belt. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not ready for a Cmpunk WWE Championship run because John
<v Speaker 1>Scene is not ready to drop the belt yet. It
<v Speaker 1>would I think kind of cut the legs out from
<v Speaker 1>underneath John Cena when it comes to his run with
<v Speaker 1>that belt. There's you know, as John Cena has said,
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of pivots going on that we don't
<v Speaker 1>know about backstage. Now now that we are really coming
<v Speaker 1>to the end of his run, it's truly the end
<v Speaker 1>coming up. Honestly, I don't think that there is anything
<v Speaker 1>John Cena can do at this point or say to
<v Speaker 1>the crowd that's going to get us to say, I
<v Speaker 1>screw you, John, We're gonna boo you because the fact
<v Speaker 1>the reality of him leaving setting in is going to
<v Speaker 1>trump anything that he can say or try to get
<v Speaker 1>the crowd to boo him on. He can run us
<v Speaker 1>down and call us trash and spoiled and like, it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't matter because we're all going to see through it
<v Speaker 1>and we're not gonna give a damn. We're just gonna
<v Speaker 1>be like John, like just yet whatever whatever you say, John, Sure,
<v Speaker 1>but we're still going to cheer because this is truly
<v Speaker 1>the end and reality will always trump fantasy here of
<v Speaker 1>trying to trying to manipulate us into booing you, it's
<v Speaker 1>not going to supersede what we all see to be true,
<v Speaker 1>and that is that, Johnsen, that you are leaving and
<v Speaker 1>we just want to say goodbye and thank you, and
<v Speaker 1>people are I think are going to gravitate to that.
<v Speaker 1>You're already starting to feel the turn back to a
<v Speaker 1>babyface from his you know, attempted although I'll be it
<v Speaker 1>mildly failed run as a heel, but that I think
<v Speaker 1>is good. It's going to be a trend that continues
<v Speaker 1>here as johnsenas dates whittled down and as he gets
<v Speaker 1>closer to the end, fans are just gonna cheer John
<v Speaker 1>and there's nothing that anyone can do. It's just gonna
<v Speaker 1>happen because more and more people are going to realize that,
<v Speaker 1>hey man, yeah, I'm not playing into the little story here,
<v Speaker 1>like this is it, this is it, and I'm just
<v Speaker 1>gonna enjoy John being here and cheer form, you know,
<v Speaker 1>like that's what people are doing, and it's it's kind
<v Speaker 1>of it's already happening now. It's already happening now. And
<v Speaker 1>the promo he cut the pipe on Romo last week
<v Speaker 1>that he cut on Punk kind of solidified that too.
<v Speaker 1>Where you have you know Johnson, I mean at the
<v Speaker 1>end of that promo, who's getting cheered and there's nothing
<v Speaker 1>you can do. It's over, It's over. He might as
<v Speaker 1>well just go back full baby face at this point.
<v Speaker 2>Now.
<v Speaker 1>The question is, though, how does Roman Reigns come in here?
<v Speaker 1>If he is coming in, well, he could come in
<v Speaker 1>at the end, you know, end up chasing down Hayman,
<v Speaker 1>maybe spearing Hayman if he wants to. Although I don't
<v Speaker 1>really I don't ever really have the the desire to
<v Speaker 1>see Paul Haman get his ass kicked. I just never
<v Speaker 1>do because I don't ever. I don't want Paul Hyman
<v Speaker 1>taking bumps. He doesn't need to. So John Cena is
<v Speaker 1>not going to drop the belt here. I expect the
<v Speaker 1>match to be okay. And I say okay because these guys, now,
<v Speaker 1>are you know, since they're twenty eleven match that's fourteen
<v Speaker 1>years ago. These guys are fourteen years older, and it's
<v Speaker 1>not going to be better than their twenty eleven money
<v Speaker 1>in the bank match in Chicago. It's just not We
<v Speaker 1>can't just take that bar away right now. It's not
<v Speaker 1>gonna happen. So I think you're gonna have John Cena
<v Speaker 1>retain against Ciampunk and you could see a return of
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns here. Could. I'm not predicting it, but it's
<v Speaker 1>on the table as possible at least, So there you go.
<v Speaker 1>As a reminder, sammy's Ain wins, Rhea Ripley wins, Jacobatu retains.
<v Speaker 1>I'm predicting Jade to win, although I'm rooting for Oscar.
<v Speaker 1>I'm thinking Cody Rhoads wins and John Cena retains, with
<v Speaker 1>a potential Roman Reigns return. All right, let's hear from
<v Speaker 1>you guys. Let's go into some of these emails, and
<v Speaker 1>let's start with Andrew from Flint. He says, does the
<v Speaker 1>Women's Intercontinental Belt feel more important than the women's World
<v Speaker 1>Championship at the moment? I've only seen EO sparingly on TV. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>you have big names like Becky Lynch and Bailey fighting
<v Speaker 1>for the mid card title. I am more invested in
<v Speaker 1>the storyline too. Well, that's the problem with the women's
<v Speaker 1>belts in general, is that you just there's no consistency
<v Speaker 1>with any of them. I mean, just look at the
<v Speaker 1>women's tag titles that we're introduced. For God's sakes, that's
<v Speaker 1>a trend that has continued with really all the belts
<v Speaker 1>that the women carry. There is more importance right now
<v Speaker 1>with the Intercontinental title belt, at least it feels like that,
<v Speaker 1>because again, you have you have bigger stars chasing that
<v Speaker 1>belt and talking about that belt, and I think that
<v Speaker 1>is what's really doing it here. You have Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 1>and Bailey, two of the ogs of the four horse Women.
<v Speaker 1>They're you know, and they're they're entertaining, and we haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen Becky Lynch and Bailey in a long time inside
<v Speaker 1>a ring together. So thanks Andrew, let's talk to Let's
<v Speaker 1>see here, uh Boston and Boston says, if you could
<v Speaker 1>bring back one of these writers to save the w
<v Speaker 1>W E from triple H, would you choose the mastermind
<v Speaker 1>behind the attitude there of Vince Russo or the who
<v Speaker 1>carried the w W into the two into the two thousands.
<v Speaker 1>Brian Gowertz, I mean, this isn't this isn't even like
<v Speaker 1>a for me. This is just like a slam dunk ancer.
<v Speaker 1>Brian Gowertz. I mean, Vince Russo is I actually think
<v Speaker 1>he hates professional wrestling. He really does, and I've got
<v Speaker 1>nothing personally against him. Everything with him, some of us,
<v Speaker 1>his ideas are just off the wall. I mean, look
<v Speaker 1>what he did to w CW. Look what he did
<v Speaker 1>to w CW and the storylines he created in WCW
<v Speaker 1>when he was running talent for a brief period over
<v Speaker 1>there or creative over there, he made him self world champion.
<v Speaker 1>I mean that that really put the nail in the
<v Speaker 1>coffin of the you know, their their run. I mean
<v Speaker 1>that wasn't the cause or the primary reason, but it
<v Speaker 1>was just kind of like an icing on the cake
<v Speaker 1>that this whole thing's finished during the nWo when that
<v Speaker 1>came watered down and all that. He I mean, he
<v Speaker 1>really was just terrible in WCW creatively. And so you
<v Speaker 1>have Vince Rush who's just he's kind of off the wall,
<v Speaker 1>and he I really don't believe he likes professional wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>or at least this he doesn't like today's version of
<v Speaker 1>professional wrestling. I mean, I'm the one should talk, right,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm constantly criticizing today's product. But I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>This to me is Brian Wortz. It's not even close. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>let's uh, let's see he let's talk to DJ quick.
<v Speaker 1>He says, after this ple, there will be six PL
<v Speaker 1>dates remaining for the summer of twenty twenty five. Let's
<v Speaker 1>not waste any time. You've got a lot of stuff
<v Speaker 1>and work related. Yeah, on this Friday before the ple,
<v Speaker 1>so let's go. No spoilers for your predictions. Jade Cargill
<v Speaker 1>is gonna win against Osca, all right. Rio wins against
<v Speaker 1>Rachel Rodriguez, Fatu retains his US title, Cross wins the
<v Speaker 1>International his International PL Day debut. Okay, do you think
<v Speaker 1>Cody wins and Sina wins Unfortunately I won't be able
<v Speaker 1>to watch and chat with you during Night of champions
<v Speaker 1>I missed the Discord chat. Hopefully I'll make it back
<v Speaker 1>for one of the remaining six pls. All right, yeah, well,
<v Speaker 1>DJ enjoy and trying not to stress yourself out, and
<v Speaker 1>it sounds like you're pretty busy, so do what you can,
<v Speaker 1>my friend, and so okay, Yeah. The only one we
<v Speaker 1>differ on is Sammy's Ain and carrying Cross here, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm not rooting against Cross, but it just creatively doesn't
<v Speaker 1>seem to make sense given that all of the kind
<v Speaker 1>of foundational work they're laying for Sammy's Ain eventually capturing
<v Speaker 1>a world championship, the constant chatter about other stars telling
<v Speaker 1>him he will or he won't be eventually a world
<v Speaker 1>champion someday, that to me, it would make no sense
<v Speaker 1>if they're really trying to lay the foundation for him
<v Speaker 1>to become world champion. If he loses to carry and
<v Speaker 1>Cross here, given what carrying Cross has meant up to
<v Speaker 1>this point, which, to be honest, is not a lot.
<v Speaker 1>His star power is growing, but it's not at the
<v Speaker 1>point where him losing to carrying Cross would it be like, well,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy loss but you know to Carrying Cross, so you
<v Speaker 1>know there's no shame in that. It's like, no, in
<v Speaker 1>terms of pecking order, Carrying Cross is not even anywhere
<v Speaker 1>near I mean, he's not even in the same ballpark
<v Speaker 1>as Sammy's ain is in terms of just you know,
<v Speaker 1>the ranking if you were to rank star Power right now.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't again, I want Carrying a Cross to succeed,
<v Speaker 1>but based on just what I'm seeing from storyline perspective,
<v Speaker 1>I think Sammy should win. So cool, Thanks DJ. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if we have any other emails that might
<v Speaker 1>be it. I think that is. So with that said,
<v Speaker 1>I got a couple of voicemails for you and will
<v Speaker 1>rock those out and then close out the show. So
<v Speaker 1>pretty abbreviated show today, but let's see what we got.
<v Speaker 2>This is DJ coolsmel back added again on your mailback
<v Speaker 2>show records. You live on a Wednesday board, and you
<v Speaker 2>know what time it is.
<v Speaker 3>It's time to.
<v Speaker 4>See his name, man, heppeers. I believe in Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 4>I believe in Joe Hendry. That's right, folks, Joe Hendry
<v Speaker 4>is his name.
<v Speaker 2>As I take it to my fifteth episode of the
<v Speaker 2>Judge of Ford La Golways coming to live from an
<v Speaker 2>undisclosed location.
<v Speaker 3>We are four weeks away.
<v Speaker 2>That's right, folks, four weeks away till TNA Slammiversary, TNA's
<v Speaker 2>wrestle Mania Style Evan, which will be happening on Sunday,
<v Speaker 2>July twentieth, live from Elmont, New York in Long Island
<v Speaker 2>at the UBS Arena. So far, we only have one
<v Speaker 2>match that has been added to this card, Moose versus
<v Speaker 2>Leon Slater for the X Division Championship. But on this
<v Speaker 2>past episode of TINA Parrestling, TNA celebrated their twenty third
<v Speaker 2>year in professional wrestling. Because way back on June nineteenth,
<v Speaker 2>two thousand and two, it was TNA's first ever TNA
<v Speaker 2>Slammiversary and now we're twenty three years later and they're
<v Speaker 2>still in the business. But on this episode of TNA Parrestling,
<v Speaker 2>we had the epic ten man tag team match, a
<v Speaker 2>champions challenge of all of the men's champions going up
<v Speaker 2>against their potential contenders for teennaight Slammiversary.
<v Speaker 3>Of course, like I mentioned last.
<v Speaker 2>Week, this champions Challenge match had these two separate teams
<v Speaker 2>in five guys, and the champions were in this match,
<v Speaker 2>we had trick Williams, the TNA Champion Moose, the X
<v Speaker 2>Division champion, Ryan Nemant and Nick Nemitt, the TNA Tag
<v Speaker 2>Team champions, and of course the TEENA International Champion Steve Macklin.
<v Speaker 2>As they went up against their potential contenders in Joe Hendry,
<v Speaker 2>we had Elijah Leon Slater, of course the tag team
<v Speaker 2>known as the Rascals of Zachary Winz and Srey Muguel.
<v Speaker 2>This match lasted twenty minutes and four seconds as this
<v Speaker 2>was the main event for TNA's twenty third anniversary episode.
<v Speaker 2>In this match, I must mention two quick things, and
<v Speaker 2>those two quick things are This was the first time
<v Speaker 2>that Joe Hendry and Shrick Williams were in the ring
<v Speaker 2>against each other ever since Trick Williams became the new
<v Speaker 2>TENA World Champion at NXTVE Battleground. The second point, Steve Macklin,
<v Speaker 2>who supposedly is the only babyface on this heel team,
<v Speaker 2>was not being appreciated well in this match as most
<v Speaker 2>of the guys, especially Trick Williams and the Nemet Brothers
<v Speaker 2>were quickly tagging him in and out throughout this match.
<v Speaker 2>As this was the seed that was planted to help
<v Speaker 2>the Babyfaces of Joe Henry and his All Star team
<v Speaker 2>get the victory. As we fast forward through the course
<v Speaker 2>of this match, Like I mentioned, Steve Macklin was getting
<v Speaker 2>disrespected by his own team and at one point Steve
<v Speaker 2>Macklin attacked one of the members in the Champions Challenge match.
<v Speaker 2>But as we get close towards the ending of this match,
<v Speaker 2>we finally get to see that face off of Joe
<v Speaker 2>Henry and Trick Williams, which then leads to a fallaway
<v Speaker 2>slam on Trick Williams by Joe Hendry. Joe Henry also
<v Speaker 2>delivered fall away slams to the of Ryan Nemtt and
<v Speaker 2>Nick Nemett. After when Joe Hendry delivered the Standing Ovation
<v Speaker 2>to Ryan Nemett, Den Elijah hits the Tombstone to Ryan Nemett,
<v Speaker 2>and one two three in this Champions Challenge match, Joe
<v Speaker 2>Hendry and his TNA All Stars get the victory as
<v Speaker 2>they continued their momentum into Tnay's Cyberversary and just hopefully.
<v Speaker 3>Just hopefully, Joe Hendry could get that.
<v Speaker 2>All important rematch against Trick Williams for the TNA World Champions.
<v Speaker 2>But then Last Man on NXT after when Trick Williams
<v Speaker 2>successfully defended the TENNA World Championship against Josh Briggs. Trick
<v Speaker 2>Williams cuts the probo, saying, now how he's the greatest
<v Speaker 2>TNA champion of all time as he carries both NXT
<v Speaker 2>and TNA. But as he continues to brag about himself,
<v Speaker 2>we get the return of somebody that we haven't seen
<v Speaker 2>in a very long time, and that is none other
<v Speaker 2>than Joe Hendry. His music hits, but he does not
<v Speaker 2>come at the entrance ramp. As Trick Williams is trying
<v Speaker 2>to figure out where is Joe Henry coming from, Joe
<v Speaker 2>Hendry comes from behind and delivers two clothes lines to
<v Speaker 2>Trick Williams and then a third close line he delivers
<v Speaker 2>to Trick Culims as he goes outside of the ring.
<v Speaker 2>We fast forward to a backstate segment during the midpoint
<v Speaker 2>of the show where we have Trick Williams, Wesley and
<v Speaker 2>high Rise. Wesley informs Trick Williams that he wants to
<v Speaker 2>take on Joe Henry next week on an episode of NXT.
<v Speaker 2>Trick william says that he likes that idea and that
<v Speaker 2>if he and high Rise could take care of Joe
<v Speaker 2>Hendry for him, Trick Williams will have something for both
<v Speaker 2>High Rise and West Sleep.
<v Speaker 3>Then we fast forward.
<v Speaker 2>To another back state segment, and this one is with
<v Speaker 2>Sarah Schreiber as she interviews Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 1>Joe Hendry says, it's great.
<v Speaker 2>To be back in NXC. Sarah says to remind us
<v Speaker 2>that the last time that we saw Joe Hendry on
<v Speaker 2>NXT was the Knight that he dropped in his teenager
<v Speaker 2>World Championship to Trick Williams at NXT Battleground. Joe says
<v Speaker 2>that this was the singular moment that he thinks about
<v Speaker 2>every single day of his life. But then he says
<v Speaker 2>he can't control the pass, but he could control the future,
<v Speaker 2>and the future is TNA Slimmer Versary where he could
<v Speaker 2>finally get his chads to regain the TENA World title
<v Speaker 2>against Trick Williams. He then says, Shrick has made it
<v Speaker 2>very comfortable showing up whatever he wants on TNA. So
<v Speaker 2>Joe says, what about if I return to favor and
<v Speaker 2>show up on EDIX whatever I feel like showed up.
<v Speaker 3>He's on a.
<v Speaker 2>Mission and that mission is to be the next TNA
<v Speaker 2>World Champion. Now, it's beneficial that on TNA Slimmerversary, Joe
<v Speaker 2>Hendry will finally get his rematch, his championship rematch against
<v Speaker 2>Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship.
<v Speaker 3>Always remember to believe, say his name, Always remember the
<v Speaker 3>words that Joe Hendry says anytime, any place, at any show,
<v Speaker 3>and most simplely, most simporly, always remember to do.
<v Speaker 4>This strong say science.
<v Speaker 2>Welco to once again, this is your guy, DJ Coulsbo,
<v Speaker 2>have a blessed week. B kui to one of those
<v Speaker 2>stays in my friends, believe a peace.
<v Speaker 1>As always. Thank you DJ for your contributions here keeping
<v Speaker 1>us up to date on Joe Henry and Trick Williams
<v Speaker 1>and Elijah with a tombstone. I didn't know that's his
<v Speaker 1>move though, Okay, that's cool. Nice to see Elijah back.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate all of the kind of outside analysis here
<v Speaker 1>with again these this show that most likely most people
<v Speaker 1>aren't watching, which is great. I have seen a little
<v Speaker 1>bit on the internet lately though, of Joe Henry not
<v Speaker 1>getting much of a reaction. Is this true? Is Joe
<v Speaker 1>Hendry actually getting is his support? Is his support waning?
<v Speaker 1>I hope not, because I've seen some like some clips
<v Speaker 1>where it's it's showing Joe Hendry with a you know,
<v Speaker 1>his entrance, and not many people are cheering or I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if it's just internet fodder or just clickbait
<v Speaker 1>or whatever. But you know, I hope that's not the case.
<v Speaker 1>It's you know, it's kind of normal for cycles of
<v Speaker 1>support to happen, even with big stars, but I hope
<v Speaker 1>that this is not true for Joe Henry and he
<v Speaker 1>continues the upward trajectory. So thank you for that and
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to your contributions. And again, DJ, take it easy,
<v Speaker 1>my friend. Don't don't do anything that'll that'll burn you out.
<v Speaker 1>We all feel like we're burning out, don't we know.
<v Speaker 1>It's just. I mean, there's always something going on, always something.
<v Speaker 1>It's just. But what I've learned is you just got
<v Speaker 1>to like got to live in the moment. I know
<v Speaker 1>that's so cliche, but because the problem is for me,
<v Speaker 1>at least, I think about everything all at once. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you think about everything all at once, you try to.
<v Speaker 1>It overwhelms you because you realize, oh my god, I
<v Speaker 1>can't get everything done. Well, yeah, you can't get everything
<v Speaker 1>done at that moment, right, You just got to keep
<v Speaker 1>doing things that you know you can do and move
<v Speaker 1>forward with what's in front of you. So there's my
<v Speaker 1>there's my spiel, my speech for the day. All right,
<v Speaker 1>really abbreviated show here tonight. But I will be back
<v Speaker 1>if if I can, I'll be back tomorrow night with
<v Speaker 1>the review of Night of Champions. Given that the bl
<v Speaker 1>is Saturday afternoon Eastern time, anyway, so I may and
<v Speaker 1>we'll try to put out the review late or yeah,
<v Speaker 1>probably well not late, maybe like mid evening on Saturday.
