WWE RAW Review: Goldberg Returns, Liv Morgan Suffers Serious Injury, Asuka Returns, More King of the Ring Four-Ways

<v Speaker 2>big returns with a massive injury King of the Ring.
<v Speaker 3>Matches.
<v Speaker 2>We have implications for Saturday night main event. We have
<v Speaker 2>him locations obviously for a night of Champions, So a
<v Speaker 2>pretty crazy Monday night Raw for better and for worse.
<v Speaker 2>We'll get into all of it in a moment. I

<v Speaker 2>All right, so let's dive in to it. Let's go,
<v Speaker 2>because I know we want to talk about the big
<v Speaker 2>ticket items. Let's talk first about the Live Morgan injury
<v Speaker 2>that seems to be front and center for a lot
<v Speaker 2>of people right up there, obviously with the Goldberg return,
<v Speaker 2>and we will talk about that. But Live Morgan in
<v Speaker 2>a freak injury with in a match with Kyrie saying
<v Speaker 2>did something bad to her shoulder? I mean, by watching
<v Speaker 2>the video, it looks like to the untrained eye, a
<v Speaker 2>dislocated shoulder and or elbow or both. And it did
<v Speaker 2>not look good. Okay, it looked very painful. They stopped
<v Speaker 2>the match, as they should. Live said she couldn't go on.
<v Speaker 2>This is not planned, this is not a work, and
<v Speaker 2>the announcers treated it as such. Kyrie got some heat
<v Speaker 2>for doing weird things in the ring, But what is
<v Speaker 2>she supposed to do? She has to buy time, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I don't. I don't even want to get into that.
<v Speaker 2>People are getting on Kyrie for just doing things in
<v Speaker 2>the ring that made no sense. Well, no one plans
<v Speaker 2>for an injury, you know, so I don't. That's really
<v Speaker 2>a non factor. But for Live, it does really suck
<v Speaker 2>for her because she is in a great place right
<v Speaker 2>now in her career on fire. In the judgment day,
<v Speaker 2>her and Dom were potentially on the outs, but maybe not.
<v Speaker 2>They were involved in a fun story. Live has never
<v Speaker 2>been hotter. She is just in a really nice place
<v Speaker 2>and it's just it's bad timing.
<v Speaker 3>Now.
<v Speaker 2>I remember hearing this from one of the veterans in
<v Speaker 2>the documentaries, the dozens and dozens of not one, hundreds
<v Speaker 2>that I've watched, as you have throughout the years, and
<v Speaker 2>there was a There's a theme though that I've heard
<v Speaker 2>from from veterans in the business, and that is that
<v Speaker 2>injuries tend to happen not with those fantastical moves, the
<v Speaker 2>spectacular bumps, but something ordinary, something ordinary that causes an injury,
<v Speaker 2>something that you don't expect something you've done a million times,
<v Speaker 2>and that one time you do it, you get hurt.
<v Speaker 2>Something freakish happens. And that's what happened here. And it
<v Speaker 2>wasn't a big bump. It was just a routine fall
<v Speaker 2>by Live Morgan and she's out I don't know for
<v Speaker 2>how long. If you look at the injury, and we
<v Speaker 2>all have at this point, she had her arms extended
<v Speaker 2>and she took it the bump with her arms extended,
<v Speaker 2>which makes sense that that would actually happen to your shoulder.
<v Speaker 2>Think about yourself taking a bump, putting the majority of
<v Speaker 2>your own body weight on your shoulder that's extended. That
<v Speaker 2>doesn't feel good. I can feel.
<v Speaker 3>It in.
<v Speaker 2>My mind, almost physically, how painful that would be, because
<v Speaker 2>when your arm's extended like that, your leverage is significantly
<v Speaker 2>reduced to take that bump, because your shoulder is at
<v Speaker 2>a much weaker point. It's not tucked into your body
<v Speaker 2>where you can absorb more impact, you know. And so
<v Speaker 2>I understand how the injury happened, but it is it's
<v Speaker 2>a very uncommon way to have that happen, with that
<v Speaker 2>kind of fall that I'm sure she's taken many many times.
<v Speaker 2>So I feel for her, I wish her speedy recovery.
<v Speaker 2>I do hope she's back at this point in time
<v Speaker 2>for WrestleMania forty two. That's kind of what I'm looking for.
<v Speaker 2>I'm setting the bar low and if it's something that
<v Speaker 2>can be healed in a matter of weeks, great, If
<v Speaker 2>she's back by Summer Slam, great, but I highly doubt it. Again,
<v Speaker 2>this is coming from an untrained, non doctor's perspective that
<v Speaker 2>this is probably going to be a several month injury
<v Speaker 2>and hiatus for her, which is not good, not fun.
<v Speaker 2>She likely will miss Summer Slam in all odds here
<v Speaker 2>so stinks. But also for Nicki Bella, who again I'm
<v Speaker 2>no fan of for a lot of different reasons, so many,
<v Speaker 2>and I laid them out in the Weekend Review about
<v Speaker 2>what Nicki Bella has meant to the business and why
<v Speaker 2>I think she doesn't really understand that there's no there's
<v Speaker 2>no real fan base for Nicki Bella except Nicki Bella.
<v Speaker 2>But now she doesn't have an opponent that were they
<v Speaker 2>were likely building towards in the evolution pl e for
<v Speaker 2>the women. So they'll have to find another suitable opponent
<v Speaker 2>for Nicki Bella, or maybe this will just encourage her
<v Speaker 2>to step aside.
<v Speaker 3>Highly doubt it.
<v Speaker 2>So a big night from that perspective with the major
<v Speaker 2>injury to Live Morgan, and you know, we'll have to
<v Speaker 2>see what the diagnosis is. News on that front should
<v Speaker 2>be coming to us shortly. I wouldn't imagine that it's
<v Speaker 2>going to take long for WWE and or Live Morgan
<v Speaker 2>herself to announce what the injury is officially and the
<v Speaker 2>estimated timetable of return. They'll give us a range, you know,
<v Speaker 2>four to six months, three to five months, Hell, maybe
<v Speaker 2>one to two months, maybe six to nine months, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, I don't know. We're all hoping it's again
<v Speaker 2>a number of weeks instead of a number of months,
<v Speaker 2>but with shoulder injuries and particularly how painful that one looked,
<v Speaker 2>probably you know, I'm looking in the three to five
<v Speaker 2>month range, which if that's true, would put us right
<v Speaker 2>at the end of the year, you know, November December timeframe,
<v Speaker 2>and likely in time for WrestleMania. So again that's why
<v Speaker 2>I'm aiming really low, and then we'll see what happens.
<v Speaker 2>So that obviously is the big news story with Live
<v Speaker 2>Morgan getting injured and what that means and how dirty
<v Speaker 2>Dom is going to respond, and he know what his
<v Speaker 2>story is going to be. Without the Live Morgan peace
<v Speaker 2>in his story, he can certainly continue you to defend
<v Speaker 2>the Intercontinental Championship and maybe even look to a full
<v Speaker 2>fledged baby face turned upon upon his solo venture here.
<v Speaker 2>I know he's with the judgment day, but he won't
<v Speaker 2>have to Live by his side. But overall, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it may not be a bad thing for Dom, and
<v Speaker 2>I would like the crowd to just maybe let him talk.
<v Speaker 2>I thought we were over this, thought we were over.
<v Speaker 3>This, guys.
<v Speaker 2>Apparently not since EO Sky went face to face with
<v Speaker 2>Live and obviously EO Sky is super over and one
<v Speaker 2>of the top baby faces. So in that case, it
<v Speaker 2>defaults Dom back to being a heel and he ends
<v Speaker 2>up getting kicked by EO and Live Morgan also took
<v Speaker 2>a bump there earlier in the show before her injury
<v Speaker 2>with the match that she had with Kyrie Saint. So
<v Speaker 2>Dom is going to have to find his own way
<v Speaker 2>here and once Live returns, we'll see where they want
<v Speaker 2>to go with that story. Now moving on here to
<v Speaker 2>the other big story. William Goldberg ever heard that before?
<v Speaker 2>I've never said that before. William Goldberg, also known as
<v Speaker 2>Bill Goldberg or Goldberg or Oldberg. Now, I know that
<v Speaker 2>a lot of you are expecting me to come on
<v Speaker 2>here and Terry w W a new one and say
<v Speaker 2>how bad of a decision this is, And there's no
<v Speaker 2>need and Goldberg is well passed as prime. That's not
<v Speaker 2>a secret to anyone, including Goldberg himself.
<v Speaker 3>And all of that is true.
<v Speaker 2>You know, those are all just objective facts that he's
<v Speaker 2>passed his prime really never really, I'm sorry he never
<v Speaker 2>had a prime in the ring.
<v Speaker 3>He just injured.
<v Speaker 2>Fewer people, I guess you could say. But I'm not
<v Speaker 2>gonna come on here, and I'm not going to rant
<v Speaker 2>about it that may disappoint or make some of you happy.
<v Speaker 2>The reason is, while I was hopeful that this match
<v Speaker 2>wouldn't happen, I don't think there's a need for it
<v Speaker 2>to happen. I don't think Goldberg should ever have a
<v Speaker 2>match again. I said that after his last one. He
<v Speaker 2>has never been smooth in the ring, Even when he
<v Speaker 2>was twenty five years younger, he wasn't. His matches are,
<v Speaker 2>you know, incredibly short. We all know who and what
<v Speaker 2>he is. I'm not looking for a five star classic
<v Speaker 2>but the over under on this match with Gunther's probably
<v Speaker 2>got to be about four minutes. Now. Somebody put out
<v Speaker 2>a tweet. I don't know if it was Gunner himself
<v Speaker 2>or somebody did. It might have been I've seen a
<v Speaker 2>meme where Gunther said quote and I don't know if
<v Speaker 2>he actually said this, but there's a maybe it's a
<v Speaker 2>meme out there that Gunther said. I guess I can
<v Speaker 2>spare a few minutes referring to Goldberg in his match,
<v Speaker 2>and the implication, if you didn't get the joke, is
<v Speaker 2>that Goldberg's matches are incredibly short and it's going to
<v Speaker 2>be and we all know what it is. So from
<v Speaker 2>a match quality perspective, we're just going to chalk this
<v Speaker 2>one up. It's Saturday night main event, and you know what,
<v Speaker 2>I'm going to take the high road approach to this,
<v Speaker 2>the very rare occasion that I'm going to take the
<v Speaker 2>high road approach to this and just say, hey, Goldberg,
<v Speaker 2>despite his insane limitations in the ring, had everything else
<v Speaker 2>going for him. And that's intensity a look and a
<v Speaker 2>presence about him. Right guy, right place, right time, despite
<v Speaker 2>the fact that he has you know, less ability than
<v Speaker 2>most a lot less ability than most in the ring
<v Speaker 2>and on the mic, and he's very, very limited as well.
<v Speaker 3>So he made it.
<v Speaker 2>He made it pretty damn far in pro wrestling without
<v Speaker 2>having you know, two key areas that you need to
<v Speaker 2>have for most to excel. But I'm going to take
<v Speaker 2>the high road and just say, look, this is got
<v Speaker 2>to be his final match. It's in Atlanta, it's against
<v Speaker 2>a Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, and number two
<v Speaker 2>it there isn't a world in which I can conceive
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg winning this match. There's just no universe that this
<v Speaker 2>could happen. There isn't even a parallel universe in which
<v Speaker 2>it should, could or would happen. I just I can't
<v Speaker 2>imagine it. So the fact that Goldberg's now almost one
<v Speaker 2>hundred percent guaranteed to lose, you know, he's barely walking
<v Speaker 2>into the ring. He's already out of breath by the
<v Speaker 2>time he gets to the ring. I understand it's in
<v Speaker 2>front of his family. I genuinely feel for his family
<v Speaker 2>in a good way. I Mean, if I was his son,
<v Speaker 2>I would be proud to see my dad in the
<v Speaker 2>ring too. From a I can say that and also
<v Speaker 2>acknowledge that he's incredibly limited in the ring, and I
<v Speaker 2>thought he should have retired ten years ago, twenty years ago.
<v Speaker 2>And that's fine, that's my own opinion, But from a
<v Speaker 2>human perspective, I also understand why he wants to do that.
<v Speaker 2>Have one final go in his hometown against Gunther for
<v Speaker 2>the world title. Fine, And you know what, So that's
<v Speaker 2>the positives here. That's the positive is it's a match
<v Speaker 2>that is in some people's minds a fantasy matchup. Not
<v Speaker 2>in most, but in some. Goldberg is a big name.
<v Speaker 2>It will draw eyeballs to the product, that's ultimately what
<v Speaker 2>the company's after. And he gets to wrestle in front
<v Speaker 2>of his family in his hometown. Those are all positives.
<v Speaker 2>And it's also another name that Gunther can cross off
<v Speaker 2>his list that he's beaten. This will help get Gunther
<v Speaker 2>back on track after his debacle of a loss at WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>It will, it won't cure it, but it'll get him
<v Speaker 2>in the right on the right to started off on
<v Speaker 2>the right foot by doing that and beating Goldberg. And
<v Speaker 2>I would actually have him beat Goldberg decisively. I would
<v Speaker 2>even have him bloody Goldberg. If you really want to
<v Speaker 2>put some emphasis on the victory, have him. Just squash
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg and bloody him. Now that's not gonna happen, but
<v Speaker 2>I want it to. If you're gonna use Goldberg in
<v Speaker 2>any kind of way on his way out in his
<v Speaker 2>final match, which it's not being billed as his final match,
<v Speaker 2>but come on, please, it has to be. You want
<v Speaker 2>all the equity you can get out of that guy,
<v Speaker 2>have Gunther do it in a way that is memorable.
<v Speaker 3>So that's what I would do. Is that.
<v Speaker 2>Now what are they probably gonna do. They're probably gonna
<v Speaker 2>have Goldberg do what he normally does. Try to hit
<v Speaker 2>his spirit early in the match, maybe he misses, and
<v Speaker 2>then thirty seconds later he hits a spear and oh
<v Speaker 2>my god, kick out, kick out, kick out, kickout, power bomb, kickout,
<v Speaker 2>power bomb, power bomb, power bomb, one two three. Gunther retains,
<v Speaker 2>that's it. I mean, I just I gave you the
<v Speaker 2>match in fifteen seconds. That's what this is going to be.
<v Speaker 2>Probably I like my version much better, but that's probably
<v Speaker 2>what it's gonna be. The typical Goldberg matchup. And the
<v Speaker 2>reason is that they won't venture outside of that is
<v Speaker 2>because number one Goldberg can't, so they're not going to
<v Speaker 2>try to surprise us. With all of a sudden he
<v Speaker 2>has a move set beyond three. They're not gonna do
<v Speaker 2>that because he simply can't, and it's also unsafe to
<v Speaker 2>even try at this age, so that's out the window.
<v Speaker 2>There's not going to be a surprise Oh my god, Wow,
<v Speaker 2>we're not getting a typical Goldberg match. No, it's going
<v Speaker 2>to be. It's going to be, and Gunther will win.
<v Speaker 2>He has to win.
<v Speaker 3>Now.
<v Speaker 2>The fact that Goldberg comes back and every single time
<v Speaker 2>he comes back he believes he's just in storyline, that
<v Speaker 2>his character is just owed a championship match every time
<v Speaker 2>he returns is just, of course, on its face, insane,
<v Speaker 2>And how the fans aren't turning on Goldberg already is
<v Speaker 2>pretty incredible. But sometimes star power supersedes logic, especially if
<v Speaker 2>you're in person. When you're in person for this stuff,
<v Speaker 2>even if it makes no sense and there's clearly a
<v Speaker 2>sense of entitlement for the Goldberg character, it's all superseded
<v Speaker 2>by oh my god, I'm here for Goldberg returning, and
<v Speaker 2>people just cheer for that.
<v Speaker 3>They're cheering for.
<v Speaker 2>The moment rather than the logic. A lot of times
<v Speaker 2>those two things are at odds, and star power wins so,
<v Speaker 2>but overall, guys, I mean, I'm just hey, let it go.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not gonna go crazy about this. We know what
<v Speaker 2>it's gonna be. It'll be over in a couple of
<v Speaker 2>weeks and we can move on with our lives. You know,
<v Speaker 2>more than a couple of weeks. But it'll be done
<v Speaker 2>over with and we'll never see Goldberg again. He can
<v Speaker 2>ride off into the sunset in front of his family,
<v Speaker 2>and Gunther can move on to his next real opponent
<v Speaker 2>at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 3>Whoever wins the King of the Ring for.
<v Speaker 2>The men seth rollins Maybe is it potentially Cody Rhodes.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, who knows? Cody Roso would probably chase John Cina.
<v Speaker 2>So this is going to be a fun next couple
<v Speaker 2>of weeks as we see what Goldberg can do on
<v Speaker 2>the mic, which, of course we all know what that is.
<v Speaker 2>All right, So let's talk about the rest of Monday
<v Speaker 2>Night Raw.
<v Speaker 3>And Live.
<v Speaker 2>Morgan did come out at the beginning of the show
<v Speaker 2>and she said, welcome to Monday Night Morgan.
<v Speaker 3>Why can we stop?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Yes, I'm gonna say something because this is so stupid.
<v Speaker 2>I don't need and I love Live, I love what
<v Speaker 2>she's done. With the transformation. I just gave her a
<v Speaker 2>whole bunch of flowers at her feet, and I wish
<v Speaker 2>her the best. But at the same time, I don't
<v Speaker 2>need wrestlers trying to fit their name cleverly or not
<v Speaker 2>so cleverly into the phrase the title of the show,
<v Speaker 2>Monday Night Raw Mondayette. Rollin's right. Many times we.
<v Speaker 3>Heard that.
<v Speaker 2>Mondayette, Morgan.
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure there's other examples, just aren't coming to mind.
<v Speaker 2>I don't need that. And also again, I don't need
<v Speaker 2>wrestlers welcoming us to the show. They're not the host
<v Speaker 2>of the show. They are the show. This is just
<v Speaker 2>such a small thing. Can't they just open up and
<v Speaker 2>just for the love of God, just get into their
<v Speaker 2>stories instead of towing the corporate line and saying welcome
<v Speaker 2>to the I mean, I.
<v Speaker 3>Don't get it.
<v Speaker 2>That was even in the Vince mcmon era, So I
<v Speaker 2>don't even It's not really a TKO thing.
<v Speaker 3>Moving on, I don't want to get onto this too much.
<v Speaker 2>So Morgan said she was there to talk about respect
<v Speaker 2>and everyone needed to be reminded that it's her division.
<v Speaker 2>She said Nicki Bella had to learn the hard way,
<v Speaker 2>and said that Nicki was at home beat up watching
<v Speaker 2>on her television, and Morgan mocked EO Sky for stating
<v Speaker 2>that Bella paved the way. Morgan said she paved her
<v Speaker 2>own way. And then Bo said that she is the
<v Speaker 2>first and only four time women's tag team champion, and
<v Speaker 2>Morgan said she wasn't asking for respect, she was demanding it.
<v Speaker 2>I like, how you know what I'm going to say here?
<v Speaker 3>How Live?
<v Speaker 2>Morgan actually mocked EO Sky for stating that Bella paved
<v Speaker 2>the way because that was a talking point, not not
<v Speaker 2>just among me, other podcasters and even Nicki mentioned it
<v Speaker 2>on her own podcast, So that it's the ignorant men
<v Speaker 2>that are stating this. Yet we are the core audience,
<v Speaker 2>We still remain WWE's core consumer. Are these ignorant men?
<v Speaker 2>Which simply is translation for I don't like your opinion.
<v Speaker 2>I can't dispute it. I just don't like it. So
<v Speaker 2>I'm going to I'm gonna essentially say you're.
<v Speaker 3>Man explaining things. That's what that is.
<v Speaker 2>Of course, it's ridiculous, And I guess anything you have
<v Speaker 2>an opinion on with the men, you're not qualified to
<v Speaker 2>speak on, right, Niki? Or does it not go two ways?
<v Speaker 2>Can we say that you are no longer able to
<v Speaker 2>speak on any kind of men's issues at all. You're
<v Speaker 2>not a male wrestler, so no, you get to speak
<v Speaker 2>on nothing other than the women's issues, right, because that's
<v Speaker 2>how things work. There's really nothing about Nicki Bella that
<v Speaker 2>I find appealing, like actually nothing from her in ring
<v Speaker 2>character that I never was a fan of at all.
<v Speaker 2>I don't care if she's the longest rating Divas champion.
<v Speaker 2>That's like saying, you know, I'm the longest reigning twenty
<v Speaker 2>four to seven champion, or probably more accurately, I'm the
<v Speaker 2>the longest reigning KB Toys Replica WWE champion of all time.
<v Speaker 2>That's how meaningful the Diva's championship was. That that's that
<v Speaker 2>shouldn't even go on your resume like I'd hide that,
<v Speaker 2>I'd try to erase that part. I wouldn't even mention it.
<v Speaker 2>That's not a that's not a flex as.
<v Speaker 3>They say.
<v Speaker 2>She didn't pave anything. There's nothing she paved. She didn't
<v Speaker 2>clear the way. She wasn't a trailblazer. She didn't do
<v Speaker 2>anything of significance other than be remember remembered for the
<v Speaker 2>total bellas she carried a butterfly belt for a little while,
<v Speaker 2>she did a little stripper dance. It continues to at
<v Speaker 2>her age at the top of the ramp. And she
<v Speaker 2>dated John Cena for a while. That's it. She didn't
<v Speaker 2>pave a thing. Is anything I'm saying wrong or is
<v Speaker 2>it just because I'm a I'm a dude that she
<v Speaker 2>has a problem with it? Yet we are the core
<v Speaker 2>audience and we still are the majority demographic that consume
<v Speaker 2>professional wrestling. So if you want to alienate your male audience, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you go right ahead. Just everything on a personal and
<v Speaker 2>professional level about Nicki Bella. Even listening to her talk,
<v Speaker 2>she's just got this this cadence about her. That's just
<v Speaker 2>she's she's not even interesting to listen to. I only
<v Speaker 2>listen to her show to hear what she had to
<v Speaker 2>say about the whole paving the way line. But it'll
<v Speaker 2>be the first and the last time I listened to
<v Speaker 2>the Nicki Bella show, because she's just you know, sometimes
<v Speaker 2>you hear on camera with characters and wrestlers that you
<v Speaker 2>know they're not too interesting on on on the camera
<v Speaker 2>with the character they're trying to portray, but then you
<v Speaker 2>get them on a mic, nonscripted and they're just kind
<v Speaker 2>of doing their own podcast or being in you and
<v Speaker 2>you're like, wow, this this person's actually pretty interesting. They've
<v Speaker 2>got a lot to say. They're insightful, well spoken. You know,
<v Speaker 2>I wish they would bring that to the screen. With Nicki,
<v Speaker 2>It's nope, who you see on screen is exactly who
<v Speaker 2>she is in person. It's exactly who you'd imagine she'd be.
<v Speaker 2>The the insufferable nature of her of her personality. And

<v Speaker 2>Raquel and Ivan Island Stephanie Vacor. And it was because

<v Speaker 2>ring after she hit it to hot a bomb on
<v Speaker 2>Stephanie Vacor, and Ripley then beat on Rodriguez and then
<v Speaker 2>hit her with riptight on the floor that looked brutal,
<v Speaker 2>and then Ripley tossed Rodriguez back in the ring. Oscar

<v Speaker 2>of the Ring. So decent match. Nice to see Oscar
<v Speaker 2>back and we'll have to see it. Is interesting, though,
<v Speaker 2>Alexa Bliss and Osca in a semifinal match. That's not
<v Speaker 2>an easy pick. Boy, is that a tough one because
<v Speaker 2>people have been waiting for Alexa Bliss to just do
<v Speaker 2>something of significance since she returned, like give us anything,
<v Speaker 2>and she's largely done nothing. And at the same time,
<v Speaker 2>you have Oscar who's returning. So when someone returns, traditionally
<v Speaker 2>you have them get a little hot. You want to
<v Speaker 2>make an impact. You don't want to have them just
<v Speaker 2>return and lose. It's a tough one to call. I
<v Speaker 2>would imagine it's Oscar, but there is a big case
<v Speaker 2>to be made for Alexa Bliss as well. So if
<v Speaker 2>you guys are betters, if you know you like to
<v Speaker 2>bet on these types of events, I bet you to
<v Speaker 2>stay away from that match for SmackDown. Okay, Cole Hype
<v Speaker 2>the SummerSlam kickoff for the Fanatics Fest event in New
<v Speaker 2>York at Javits at the Javit Center. And then Raquel
<v Speaker 2>Rodriguez had an ice pack on her neck in the
<v Speaker 2>Judgment Day clubhouse where we had Finn JD and Dom
<v Speaker 2>show up, and Live showed up and wanted to talk
<v Speaker 2>to Rodriguez about strategy. Rodriguez said she was not medically cleared.
<v Speaker 2>Morgan got upset, said she'd handled herself and walked out.
<v Speaker 2>We had McDonough ask Dom why he had to wrestle
<v Speaker 2>aj Styles when he and Baler were supposed to go
<v Speaker 2>after the tag titles. Dom talked about how Styles had
<v Speaker 2>been breathing down his neck and he told McDonald to
<v Speaker 2>take care of Styles so he could go back to
<v Speaker 2>chasing the tag titles next week. Balor, Yeah, we have
<v Speaker 2>a wow. This is a longer segment than I remember.
<v Speaker 2>Baler told Rodriguez that he thinks she's doing great. Regardless
<v Speaker 2>of what Morgan told her, And Rodriguez thanked him and
<v Speaker 2>and Balar told Perez that he knew Morgan said she
<v Speaker 2>wanted to handle things herself, but he had an idea,
<v Speaker 2>and Balor and Perez left the room while Rodriguez looked around.
<v Speaker 2>So we have again a little bit of behind the
<v Speaker 2>scenes undermining of each other here. And you're wondering when
<v Speaker 2>the judgment day is going to fall apart. We've been
<v Speaker 2>waiting for that forever we I mean even myself predicted
<v Speaker 2>it would be WrestleMania. Here we are in June, deep
<v Speaker 2>into June, and they're going strong. But the more I
<v Speaker 2>look at this and with the Live Morgan Injury, Live
<v Speaker 2>Morgan is the straw that stirs the drink in this
<v Speaker 2>whole group, I mean, she just is the one that
<v Speaker 2>is arguably the biggest star in that group, arguably because
<v Speaker 2>Finn Balor doesn't do a whole bunch of anything. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>he's been in the shadow of the just everyone else
<v Speaker 2>for the last three years, four years. Dom is inter
<v Speaker 2>Continental champion, but he also is still attached to Live
<v Speaker 2>and you're waiting for that to totally disintegrate.

<v Speaker 2>twelfth for the championship. I mean, I don't think the
<v Speaker 2>championship was mentioned, but it's.

<v Speaker 2>And he said you're next, and that was it. So
<v Speaker 2>while they're not calling this his retirement match, maybe they
<v Speaker 2>are leaving it open ended. Perhaps, but I just I
<v Speaker 2>hope not. Maybe they don't want it to be a
<v Speaker 2>retirement match because if they put the title on the line,
<v Speaker 2>they know that they're giving away the finish by making
<v Speaker 2>it a retirement match for the championship, because why would
<v Speaker 2>you put a title on a guy that's retiring. So
<v Speaker 2>perhaps they're not advertising it as as his final match,
<v Speaker 2>but honestly, I think they should because even if they
<v Speaker 2>don't label it as a retirement match, by default, every
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg match we see is a retisiment match, and there's no

<v Speaker 2>match that went ten and a half minutes. Nice smooth
<v Speaker 2>finished here, with Styles getting the Styles clash and the victory.
<v Speaker 2>After the match, don tried to hit Styles with the
<v Speaker 2>Intercontinental title belt, but Styles avoided it and then put
<v Speaker 2>Dom down and went to the ropes, but Finn came
<v Speaker 2>out pulled them out and that was pretty much it,
<v Speaker 2>and we had a little bit of cat and mouse
<v Speaker 2>game here that was it. Styles did hold up the
<v Speaker 2>Intercontinental Championship. He did leave with the belt too, but
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if that means he's going to be
<v Speaker 2>one of these you know, he's a he's gonna claim
<v Speaker 2>he's an uncrownedampion or something that's typically a heal move.

<v Speaker 2>anywhere with Styles taking Dom's Intercontinental Championship, but the physical

<v Speaker 2>should be thinking about the wrestler in the ring. I
<v Speaker 2>don't need you to fight my battles. I don't need
<v Speaker 2>you to represent me here. What do you mean you're
<v Speaker 2>fighting for me?
<v Speaker 3>You know what I mean? I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I'm getting too psychoanalytic about this. So we have let's
<v Speaker 2>see Bailey calling out Becky Lynch, and that's when she
<v Speaker 2>comes out dressed in Chicago Bears attire, and Lynch said
<v Speaker 2>she'd rather have her legacy that a bunch of fake friends,
<v Speaker 2>and Bailey spoke about the people and said she refused
<v Speaker 2>to fight for the people.

<v Speaker 2>We don't need people to fight or not fight for us.
<v Speaker 2>We're not in a fight. We're not asking people to
<v Speaker 2>take our side on anything. Just you guys fight, we'll

<v Speaker 2>come into at WrestleMania, and there is some truth to that,
<v Speaker 2>and they're just simply taking something that is got a
<v Speaker 2>little bit of truth to it and putting it out
<v Speaker 2>in front of the camera and it's working. So Lynch
<v Speaker 2>said she doesn't remember, then asked Bailey if she remembers
<v Speaker 2>what gold feels like. Bailey told Lynch to reminder what
<v Speaker 2>it feels like, and Becky said if Bailey wanted a match,
<v Speaker 2>she could have one, but not in Green Bay and
<v Speaker 2>not for her title. And Lynch told Bailey that she
<v Speaker 2>would see her in Columbus at next week's raw, and
<v Speaker 2>Lynch slapped Bailey, who responded by dropping Lynch with a forearm.
<v Speaker 2>So solid segment here, again, despite my criticisms about the
<v Speaker 2>narrative of pandering, it was a solid segment by two
<v Speaker 2>professionals that haven't been in the ring together in a
<v Speaker 2>while and two of the original four horse women. Cool
<v Speaker 2>to see them back in the ring. You don't know
<v Speaker 2>how many times more we're going to be able to
<v Speaker 2>see this as WWE continues to just not use Bailey
<v Speaker 2>at all, or they didn't for a long period of time.
<v Speaker 2>We'll see if it continues after this feud. I really
<v Speaker 2>don't believe that there's any intention of giving Bailey the
<v Speaker 2>belt here, but it's fun to at least have her
<v Speaker 2>in the conversation. Okay, we have Kyrie saying again This
<v Speaker 2>is where we had the Kyrie saying entrance and Live
<v Speaker 2>Morgan out the injury. We already talked about that. We backstage,
<v Speaker 2>al Lyra approached Bailey Lyra Valkyria and told her that
<v Speaker 2>she's just trying to do what's best for her. Bailey
<v Speaker 2>apologized for not responding to her texts because it was
<v Speaker 2>a rough couple of months, and Valkyria said she understood
<v Speaker 2>and added that if Bailey wins the title, then she'll
<v Speaker 2>face her for it because she's also going to do
<v Speaker 2>what's best for herself. So Lyra's still in the conversation
<v Speaker 2>as well. I like how she's not just fading out
<v Speaker 2>into the you know, into nothingness, into the ether, that
<v Speaker 2>she's continuing to try to reclaim what she lost, even
<v Speaker 2>though she probably isn't going to win it back for
<v Speaker 2>quite some time. So yeah, again, a very fluky injury
<v Speaker 2>here that happens to that happened to Live. We went
<v Speaker 2>through that, so I won't rehash, so we continue here. Backstage,
<v Speaker 2>Kathy Kelly interviews Sammy Zaine about being in the Kny
<v Speaker 2>of the Ring semi finals, and Sammy talked about how
<v Speaker 2>the opportunity to win the World Championship felt different this time, carrying.

<v Speaker 2>in the ring, Reid hit Jay with a death valley driver.
<v Speaker 2>Reid went up for another tsunami, but La Knight, Yes,
<v Speaker 2>La Knight, showed up and pushed him off the ropes
<v Speaker 2>into the ring. Jay spears Read hits an USTO splash
<v Speaker 2>on the Reed's back and then went up top and
<v Speaker 2>hit Read with another USO splash and got the victory.
<v Speaker 2>Seth Rollins comes out angry, undressing himself and he looked
<v Speaker 2>like he was about to beat down Jay. That's when
<v Speaker 2>Cody Roads Music hit. He also undressed himself. There's a
<v Speaker 2>lot of clothes left in the aisleway, and luckily for Cody,
<v Speaker 2>he wasn't wearing a suit. He actually had one of
<v Speaker 2>his jumpsuits on, one of his track suits, and he
<v Speaker 2>ends up staring down Seth Rollins as the fans are
<v Speaker 2>chanting holy s. I don't know why the bar for
<v Speaker 2>channing that is really low these days, like anything that's
<v Speaker 2>even mildly new again. I guess we're gonna say, is
<v Speaker 2>a Holy s moment?
<v Speaker 3>Holy Yes? Used to be reserved.
<v Speaker 2>Remember how special that chant was for some of the
<v Speaker 2>most crazy moments that we've ever seen, you know, And
<v Speaker 2>now it's reduced to a staredown from two guys that
<v Speaker 2>had many matches in the past not so distant past either. Again,
<v Speaker 2>I have nothing against Cody versus Seth Rollins. They put
<v Speaker 2>on excellent matches, but I'm simply criticizing the use of
<v Speaker 2>the chant because it used to be reserved for such
<v Speaker 2>special moments or big moments.
