<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, welcome to Game Best Morning is with me
<v Speaker 1>Jeff Grub, your host from giant bomb dot com.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you for tuning in.
<v Speaker 1>In this episode, we're going to be talking about the
<v Speaker 1>next big Nintendo Direct getting announced and more. It's going
<v Speaker 1>to be a good one because we have Lex Lutie
<v Speaker 1>on the show. I read it anyhow, I wrote her
<v Speaker 1>down here. She actually couldn't end up doing the show,
<v Speaker 1>so I got Janet show jan how are you doing?
<v Speaker 3>That's right, folks. I don't give off enough energetic exuberance
<v Speaker 3>as Lex would today, but hey, I'll hold down.
<v Speaker 2>The fort for me sometimes, Yes exactly.
<v Speaker 3>I won't make you feel bad that you're old. I'm old,
<v Speaker 3>you're old.
<v Speaker 2>We're all old. We're all old everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we're gonna get into things here very soon.
<v Speaker 2>But jan how was your weekend?
<v Speaker 3>Oh? A lot of sleeping, Grub. I did not anticipate
<v Speaker 3>as much sleep and rest that I needed. But hey,
<v Speaker 3>we're there and we're back. It's Monday, folks. You should
<v Speaker 3>go check out the Summer Game Fest vlog. We actually
<v Speaker 3>called it a quick look Summer Game Fest. I might
<v Speaker 3>be working on the mustard cut.
<v Speaker 1>Oh all right, Yeah, there is an extended mustard cut
<v Speaker 1>that once existed.
<v Speaker 2>Did you find even more footage to put in there?
<v Speaker 3>Well, I you know, we we I put it up
<v Speaker 3>on Frame And for folks that don't know, Frame is
<v Speaker 3>like a reviewing website where you upload a draft and
<v Speaker 3>your team members can comment over it. And I think
<v Speaker 3>the general consensus was with back Lauren Dan like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>we should cut this down. This is too much. I
<v Speaker 3>wanted to release a full muster cut in their original vlog,
<v Speaker 3>but maybe we'll just have to save it for maybe
<v Speaker 3>later this week.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's that's the special stuff everybody. Yeah, it's a
<v Speaker 2>it's a great vlog. I really enjoyed that.
<v Speaker 1>I like doing that stuff, like's not there with travel, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's fun and be like, oh, yeah, that stuff should
<v Speaker 1>end up in the video. Like when we're doing there,
<v Speaker 1>we're just hanging out and then the camera comes down,
<v Speaker 1>it's like, yeah, maybe this will be in there. I
<v Speaker 1>don't really think about it too much, and then you
<v Speaker 1>see the video and it's like, oh, yeah, this is
<v Speaker 1>fantastic stuff and everyone did a really good job. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's explain ourselves here. This is Giant Bomb. You can
<v Speaker 1>go to giant bomb dot com. Slash joined to support us.
<v Speaker 1>If you like us, We're a handful of people trying
<v Speaker 1>to make this work. Every little bit helps, and we
<v Speaker 1>appreciate everyone who has supported us so far. As far
<v Speaker 1>as this show goes, most weekdays, I Jeff Grub will
<v Speaker 1>help ease your gaming life back together. That includes breaking
<v Speaker 1>news and maybe even some of our own original reporting.
<v Speaker 1>For all these topics, I'll get the input of a
<v Speaker 1>bone to fide expert who will make me look smart.
<v Speaker 2>If you were watching live on Twitch welcome.
<v Speaker 1>You can always listen to the show later on podcast
<v Speaker 1>feeds by searching for Game Mess Mornings or find the
<v Speaker 1>RSS on giant bomb dot com. You can also catch
<v Speaker 1>the show later on YouTube. Hello YouTube. All right, we
<v Speaker 1>have a lot to get into, so let's start the
<v Speaker 1>Morning Mess with Donkey Kong Bananza direct revealed for Wednesday,
<v Speaker 1>the eighteenth of June twenty twenty five.
<v Speaker 2>That's two days from now. Poor.
<v Speaker 1>This comes from Jim Norman at Nintendo Life. Nintendo has
<v Speaker 1>announced that a special direct focused on Donkey Kong Bonanza
<v Speaker 1>will be heading our way this week on Wednesday. The
<v Speaker 1>announcement was made via the Nintendo Today app, which is
<v Speaker 1>where all news comes from. And it will begin at
<v Speaker 1>two pm BST. Let's see here for North America, it's
<v Speaker 1>a six am direct as normal recently jam where they
<v Speaker 1>just obviously they're mad at you.
<v Speaker 2>There's no other way around it.
<v Speaker 3>First they give me a companion pass to the event,
<v Speaker 3>and now this again.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, I think they're trying to tell you something.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't know what, but that means it'll
<v Speaker 1>be seven am Mountain time, eight am in Central Time,
<v Speaker 1>and nine am Eastern. I'll run that talk over. Jan
<v Speaker 1>You just go ahead and sleep. I appreciation and then
<v Speaker 1>or you' watch out because I imagine Dan's probably gonn
<v Speaker 1>call you just to shout pajanza at you, so just
<v Speaker 1>you know, stand back.
<v Speaker 3>If anything, my newfound appreciation for Donkey Kong has unlocked
<v Speaker 3>another layer in mine and Dan's friendship and companionship where
<v Speaker 3>every time I see Dan and he every time he
<v Speaker 3>sees me.
<v Speaker 1>But Janza, but Danza, it's very great. You guys did
<v Speaker 1>it a lot in LA and it made me happy
<v Speaker 1>every time I heard. It's so a big fan of that. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, all right, Donkey Kong Bonanza direct. It's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be a big long commercial for that game. And I
<v Speaker 1>welcome it.
<v Speaker 3>Sure.
<v Speaker 1>I just saw on social media someone's sharing clips or
<v Speaker 1>screenshots of a CRT plane that VHS tape a Donkey
<v Speaker 1>Kong Country exposed, which I think was a Toys r
<v Speaker 1>US production. It would send these out to your house
<v Speaker 1>and you could watch a thirty minute like infomercial about
<v Speaker 1>a video game. And I'm like, these were the Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>directs of my day, and I'm glad that's not the
<v Speaker 1>way it works now.
<v Speaker 2>You can just go ahead and and get it online.
<v Speaker 1>But I'm excited to find out more about this game,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm not expecting too much more in terms of
<v Speaker 1>surprises for this game or other stuff they might try
<v Speaker 1>to sneak on to the back of this direct.
<v Speaker 2>Huh. I'm curious to.
<v Speaker 1>Does this say how long it'll be? I don't think
<v Speaker 1>we oh, I would see here. Yes, it will last
<v Speaker 1>for roughly fifteen minutes.
<v Speaker 3>That's right, Okay, because I don't know based off of
<v Speaker 3>the demo that Dan and I checked out in New York,
<v Speaker 3>I don't want to see too much more of the
<v Speaker 3>game because of how much of the destructibility is such
<v Speaker 3>a big factor of the game that I kind of
<v Speaker 3>want to be surprised by the environments that you're being
<v Speaker 3>thrown in also an initial mind that the game open
<v Speaker 3>up opens up in. I love that the girders look
<v Speaker 3>like the Donkey Kong girders from the original game, So
<v Speaker 3>I'm very curious and very excited to see the other
<v Speaker 3>East eggs. Maybe I don't know, maybe we'll see a Mario. Yeah, right,
<v Speaker 3>I want to see. I always wanted Mario to be
<v Speaker 3>the villain in one of these Donkey Kong games. I
<v Speaker 3>don't think that's going to turn out to be the
<v Speaker 3>case here either, But like in Donkey Kong Country, I'm like, man,
<v Speaker 3>what if I get to the end and it's just
<v Speaker 3>Maria waiting there?
<v Speaker 1>He's like, finally I got my revenge. Yeah, I think
<v Speaker 1>that you're right like that. I don't know how much
<v Speaker 1>more I need to see, especially for them emphasizing the
<v Speaker 1>sandbox elements of Listen, you're going to just punch through
<v Speaker 1>through this world and find stuff on your own. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I suppose they could show off just how dynamic that
<v Speaker 1>could be to a certain extent, but a lot of
<v Speaker 1>the joy of that is going to be the surprise of, hey,
<v Speaker 1>can I do this?
<v Speaker 2>Trying to pull something off it working and having like, you.
<v Speaker 1>Know, maybe accounting for that and having cool particle effects
<v Speaker 1>and all that stuff that just looks excellent. This is
<v Speaker 1>one where clearly at this point, we just need to
<v Speaker 1>get our hands on it. I need to get my
<v Speaker 1>hands on it to be like, hey, is this game
<v Speaker 1>going to live up to my expectations? But again, I'm
<v Speaker 1>not going to mind that to get a little bit
<v Speaker 1>more info now when it comes to Nintendo and other
<v Speaker 1>stuff coming out this year, they do have it like
<v Speaker 1>it looks like the lineup is pretty set. There's a
<v Speaker 1>reason most people, I think are expecting us not to
<v Speaker 1>get a direct for like a broader direct for the
<v Speaker 1>switch to because it's like, Okay, there's you know, there's
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon that's the big release later this year. Metroid Prime
<v Speaker 1>four doesn't even have a release date. But this sort
<v Speaker 1>of solidifies it, right, We're not going to get a
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo direct for the broad catalog of other.
<v Speaker 2>Games that might be coming this summer, right, Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like if you already put Pokemon on the
<v Speaker 3>calendar for summer to fall to winter, that's already a
<v Speaker 3>big release. Metroid Prime, like you mentioned, Grub doesn't have
<v Speaker 3>a release date yet, and we could they could just
<v Speaker 3>spin up a direct to rally behind that. I don't
<v Speaker 3>really see the need for Nintendo to like have to
<v Speaker 3>bust out anything major. And we haven't even seen like
<v Speaker 3>the other third party drops that are going to come
<v Speaker 3>out onto the switch To later this year.
<v Speaker 2>I hate it.
<v Speaker 3>I wound up getting a switch To over the weekend.
<v Speaker 3>Grub shouts out to the homie Dan reb because I
<v Speaker 3>want to play Tactics on.
<v Speaker 2>That of course.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean listen, and it's a good system for
<v Speaker 1>if you especially for third party games that you know
<v Speaker 1>are going to run fine on that thing. It's really
<v Speaker 1>solid place to play that sort of game. So I
<v Speaker 1>don't blame you. Do the fomo get you a little
<v Speaker 1>bit where you're like everyone else seems to be having
<v Speaker 1>fun with this thing.
<v Speaker 3>Got to Yeah, the fact that all of y'all had
<v Speaker 3>a switch To, or at least you, Dan and Minatti
<v Speaker 3>had one, and just playing Mario Kart all the time,
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, I want to do that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, it's I've been continuing to play Mario Kart.
<v Speaker 1>Dan had a small stream on Saturday night, I think
<v Speaker 1>where he was playing some of it, and I just
<v Speaker 1>hopped in there and continue to have a great time.
<v Speaker 1>It's one of those games where when I'm playing it,
<v Speaker 1>especially online with friends or in that setting, I've never
<v Speaker 1>not had a good time. And then there's just some
<v Speaker 1>other stuff. When I'm playing by myself for I'm like
<v Speaker 1>still not sure about it, but it's clearly a fun
<v Speaker 1>game to play. All right, let's see anything else from
<v Speaker 1>this direct? Yeah, I don't know, Like word going around
<v Speaker 1>is always mixed on this game because I think people
<v Speaker 1>just need to play the final product to see how
<v Speaker 1>that sandbox element works. So again, need to just play
<v Speaker 1>Donkey Kong Binanza for myself, And we're not that far
<v Speaker 1>away from that being the case. This game is out
<v Speaker 1>and basically exactly a month. I'm really looking forward to that.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 1>Up next, Mind's Eye review scores hit rock bottom. Now,
<v Speaker 1>we've been talking about Mind's Eye jam but no one
<v Speaker 1>got review code, So reviews, now that the game has
<v Speaker 1>been out for a few days, are finally starting to
<v Speaker 1>come in. This is from Marcus Pearson at Game Reactor.
<v Speaker 1>Thanks haven't exactly gone according to plan for Leslie Binzi's
<v Speaker 1>first game from his own studio, Build a Rocket Boy,
<v Speaker 1>which May which has made headlines since it's released a
<v Speaker 1>few days ago, but for all the wrong reasons. Buggy
<v Speaker 1>and unfinished and mediocre are just some of the words
<v Speaker 1>used to describe Mind's I not to mention the obviously
<v Speaker 1>poor sales, with the game peaking at just over three thousand,
<v Speaker 1>three hundred concurrent players on Steam and currently sitting at
<v Speaker 1>fewer than four hundred actor users at the time of
<v Speaker 1>this writing. In our review, which you can and read
<v Speaker 1>they have a link here, we noted that the game
<v Speaker 1>feels like a ten year old GTA knockoff, with most
<v Speaker 1>of its elements failing to impress. Judging by Metacritic, it
<v Speaker 1>seems all of most others tend to agree. At the
<v Speaker 1>time that they posted this, it had a forty three
<v Speaker 1>on Metacritic.
<v Speaker 2>Jam, oh boy, it was.
<v Speaker 1>Then I was like reading some other stuff thirty six
<v Speaker 1>on Open Critic. I checked before we started here. It's
<v Speaker 1>down to a thirty five on Open Critic now, so
<v Speaker 1>we are talking like traditionally deep into the Blake Club
<v Speaker 1>territory for this game, Jed, I didn't get like thirty
<v Speaker 1>five out of one hundred bad when I was playing it,
<v Speaker 1>but that's because I think I still had blinders onto
<v Speaker 1>like the potential scope of the game which seems much
<v Speaker 1>more limited than I originally thought. For people that don't know,
<v Speaker 1>Mind's Eye presents itself as an open world crime action
<v Speaker 1>game where you plays like this, you know, paramilitary.
<v Speaker 2>Guy that works for corporation Big Shocker. It's a video game, and.
<v Speaker 1>Like you're right there like shooting robots and stuff, and
<v Speaker 1>then it seems like, okay, well then you're going to
<v Speaker 1>turn around and drive away and find your next adventure.
<v Speaker 1>But it's much more linear than that. If you ever
<v Speaker 1>like go off the path that they've given you, it's
<v Speaker 1>a game over. And so it's like, oh, is there
<v Speaker 1>really just nothing inside of this shell that they've presented
<v Speaker 1>to me? And I think, if that's the case, and
<v Speaker 1>that seems to be the case based on these reviews,
<v Speaker 1>thirty five out of one hundred does seem about right,
<v Speaker 1>but it's the boring thirty five out of one hundred. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I feel like we used to live in a world
<v Speaker 1>grub where there were a million GTA knockoffs and that
<v Speaker 1>kind of slowed down over time. Yes, definitely, it's wild
<v Speaker 1>to see another one of these pop up with the
<v Speaker 1>pedigree that does have behind it and for it to
<v Speaker 1>kind of fall flat even with the initial trailers, I
<v Speaker 1>think everyone was scratching their heads of what is mind's eye,
<v Speaker 1>what is this trying to be?
<v Speaker 3>What is this supposed to be? And then seeing that
<v Speaker 3>it does kind of feel like a very as some
<v Speaker 3>of these reviews are pointing out unfinished nothing Burger. It
<v Speaker 3>is a little bit disappointing to see how much effort
<v Speaker 3>and money and you know, the big names attached to
<v Speaker 3>this and.
<v Speaker 2>This is what we get.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, it's you know, making these games is always difficult,
<v Speaker 1>even if you are rock Star, and then having all
<v Speaker 1>of the knowledge that was imparted as being the person
<v Speaker 1>in charge of these things at Rockstar doesn't make it easy.
<v Speaker 1>And now here we are the end result reflecting how
<v Speaker 1>difficult that must have been to just get this piece together.
<v Speaker 1>You know, there's rumors flying around the game costs north
<v Speaker 1>of or around five hundred million dollars or something like that.
<v Speaker 2>You know that that's a hard thing to measure. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>that studio has taken in that.
<v Speaker 1>Much money in terms of investment, and and they like,
<v Speaker 1>have you used that studio or used that money to
<v Speaker 1>start the studio up? And that's being factored into the
<v Speaker 1>cost of this first game that they've released. But but
<v Speaker 1>I mean, either way, i'd like listen. I believe this
<v Speaker 1>game was probably very expensive, because even trying to mimic
<v Speaker 1>what Uta is doing at this point would require a
<v Speaker 1>ton of money, especially if you're starting from scratch, which
<v Speaker 1>this game effectively was.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>Meanwhile, it is actually selling okay in some territories. Oh
<v Speaker 1>and never mind the reviews, Mind's Eye creeps into the
<v Speaker 1>top of the UK sales charts. This is from Jake
<v Speaker 1>Valentine at Dual Shockers. We're halfway through twenty twenty five,
<v Speaker 1>but already here is our year's biggest flop. Mind's I,
<v Speaker 1>which is developed by one of the former lead developers
<v Speaker 1>for Grand Theft Auto, is the worst reviewed game of
<v Speaker 1>the year. We already had an inkling that the game
<v Speaker 1>would be bad, but it's launch highlights just how broken
<v Speaker 1>the game is. Content creators were told at the last
<v Speaker 1>second that they were unable to stream the game like
<v Speaker 1>they had promised.
<v Speaker 2>The AI is a complete mass blah blah blah.
<v Speaker 1>Meanwhile, it came out and it is behind some of
<v Speaker 1>the the other bigger releases of the week, as well
<v Speaker 1>as perennial favorites like EA Sports FC twenty five and
<v Speaker 1>even Hogwarts Legacy. So the best selling games in the
<v Speaker 1>UK for the week of June fourteenth are Mario Kart World,
<v Speaker 1>then EA Sports Football Club twenty five, then Hogwarts Legacy,
<v Speaker 1>then Mind's I.
<v Speaker 2>It Minds I outperformed a Cyberpunk.
<v Speaker 1>Ultimate Edition, which you know probably got a boost from
<v Speaker 1>switch to Mario cart eight Deluxe then is at number five.
<v Speaker 1>So I guess that's the other story is there's two
<v Speaker 1>Mario Kart named games now in the top ten, which
<v Speaker 1>is just silly. Okay, So to me, this is the
<v Speaker 1>kind of thing where I see this, it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's normal. Where when I would grow up, if a
<v Speaker 1>game had any marketing budget at all, if it had
<v Speaker 1>a name that even got like a couple of headlines
<v Speaker 1>in a video game magazine, even if it was terrible,
<v Speaker 1>it would at least find an audience in that first
<v Speaker 1>week of people who are just like, Hey, a new
<v Speaker 1>video game. This thing is in that genre. I like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to try that. This one seems to be
<v Speaker 1>like having that to a certain extent, at least in
<v Speaker 1>the UK. I don't know if it's happening everywhere, but
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I guess this game is kind of notorious.
<v Speaker 1>Now you think that's what's happening here, or people are
<v Speaker 1>just curious and this is before they even knew it
<v Speaker 1>was bad.
<v Speaker 3>I can't factor it in that it's specifically the UK's
<v Speaker 3>morbid curiosity to check out a terrible game. Maybe the
<v Speaker 3>UK is a big fan of Blight Club, we should
<v Speaker 3>check out our demo that they just want to participate
<v Speaker 3>and get ahead of themselves. It can't be also the
<v Speaker 3>curiosity or the desire to check out something GTA adjacent
<v Speaker 3>with GTA six getting delayed.
<v Speaker 2>I can't.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know, Grubb, I don't understand actually, especially with
<v Speaker 3>with all these other games that are on the top
<v Speaker 3>ten here. It's also still a sounding that Hogwarts Legacy
<v Speaker 3>is number three over there in twenty five.
<v Speaker 1>That also probably got a boost from switch to because
<v Speaker 1>it has switched to version, and that audience probably didn't
<v Speaker 1>jump on the switch one version all that fast because
<v Speaker 1>they were worried about performance, And now this solves that.
<v Speaker 1>Also UK Hogwarts, they just Harry Potter still does very
<v Speaker 1>well there.
<v Speaker 3>I had always assumed that in the UK it was
<v Speaker 3>one of those things of like, yeah, that sort of thing.
<v Speaker 3>I guess, yeah, that they're is semi embarrassed by it,
<v Speaker 3>But I maybe not. Maybe that's a total mystery on
<v Speaker 3>my part.
<v Speaker 1>In a post empire world, you just cling to the
<v Speaker 1>things that you are close to your heart, as we're
<v Speaker 1>finding out here in a real shameful way.
<v Speaker 3>Any person that we used to work with that's from
<v Speaker 3>the UK, anytime I mentioned how much I love doctor Who,
<v Speaker 3>they kind of scoffed at me.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't know that that does happen.
<v Speaker 1>I've heard stories of like guys going to Japan and
<v Speaker 1>starting to talk about anime and being mocked Mercislelly. So
<v Speaker 1>it's like I think you were like, I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to hear about it, white boy, get out of here,
<v Speaker 1>you don't say in the UK for obvious reasons. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's see here, Yeah, Mind's eye listen. We are probably
<v Speaker 1>getting quickly like we're quickly approaching the point chan where
<v Speaker 1>we have the last Mind's Eye story on here and
<v Speaker 1>that we never talk about it again. Did we learn
<v Speaker 1>anything from this?
<v Speaker 2>Does? Like? Has anything changed?
<v Speaker 3>I don't think anyone has learned anything from this grub
<v Speaker 3>Uh Yeah, except that seb turns into spaghetti and that's
<v Speaker 3>about it.
<v Speaker 2>That's dead. Yep. We got that that's Subghetty out there
<v Speaker 2>doing its thing.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, I agree, we're uh, And like, I guess part
<v Speaker 1>of me is maybe a little bit relieved or happy
<v Speaker 1>that the video game industry can still produce weird you know,
<v Speaker 1>just flops like this where it's, uh, you know, it's
<v Speaker 1>not always going to be possible for a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>money to float into the game is games industry for
<v Speaker 1>someone to try to make a thing that is just
<v Speaker 1>way too big for you to even attempt to make.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And the fact that some people think that that video
<v Speaker 1>games are still worth making that bet sometimes like Okay,
<v Speaker 1>there's still something happening here.
<v Speaker 3>The lesson that I wish would be learned from this
<v Speaker 3>U from Mind's Eye and other similar issue games is
<v Speaker 3>maybe you don't need to make a game this big.
<v Speaker 3>Lower your scope.
<v Speaker 2>Lower the scope absolutely. I mean, imagine if Mind's I
<v Speaker 2>was like.
<v Speaker 1>One city block, a really dense city block of worth
<v Speaker 1>of stuff, and it's like, you know, all the buildings
<v Speaker 1>were populated or something like that, but yeah, it they
<v Speaker 1>don't have to do an entire world or whatever that
<v Speaker 1>they didn't even end up using in Mind's Eye to
<v Speaker 1>any real effect. So yeah, all right, let's keep going here.
<v Speaker 1>Let's get into the Xbox section of the show. There's
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of Xbox stories here, starting with a new
<v Speaker 1>Xbox handheld. Well release date and price leak is now
<v Speaker 1>out there, and according to this leak, it won't be
<v Speaker 1>cheap the handheld that is. This is from Alex co
<v Speaker 1>at Dual Shockers at the recent Xbox Games Showcase. Microsoft
<v Speaker 1>shut down the rumors once and for all, as the
<v Speaker 1>company officially announced the Xbox handheld project, which is now
<v Speaker 1>officially called the roj Xbox ally.
<v Speaker 2>X from Asus.
<v Speaker 1>If you're thinking of buying it, you might want to
<v Speaker 1>make sure you have enough coin tucked away, as it
<v Speaker 1>won't be cheap.
<v Speaker 2>The latest rumor comes from the reliable.
<v Speaker 1>Ecstasist, who posted a video about the upcoming Xbox handheld's
<v Speaker 1>price point at least in Europe and as a note
<v Speaker 1>like Extasis had a bunch of Xbox stuff recently that
<v Speaker 1>I've checked in on it and most of it sounds
<v Speaker 1>accurate to me, So you know, let's operate under the
<v Speaker 1>assumption that maybe this is it. According to the weaker,
<v Speaker 1>pre orders will begin in August's that's the release date.
<v Speaker 2>Like in the headline, there. So, oh the release date leaks.
<v Speaker 1>I think this is the only date they have in here,
<v Speaker 1>so pre orders for August with the assumption, gen, I
<v Speaker 1>think that it would come out soon after that with
<v Speaker 1>the price as follows, and this is in euros, so
<v Speaker 1>maybe add an extra fifty dollars on top of any
<v Speaker 1>of this. The rog Ally White, which is the slightly
<v Speaker 1>less powerful variation, is six hundred euro.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>The rog ally x Black which is the far more
<v Speaker 1>powerful and I think has I'd have the Z two
<v Speaker 1>extreme in it?
<v Speaker 2>Is that is that right? Either way? It's got a
<v Speaker 2>it's got a nice chip in there.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it's not the Z too extreme yet That one's
<v Speaker 1>nine hundred euro so that is that's pretty spendye. I
<v Speaker 1>guess does that change things for you? Let me ask
<v Speaker 1>you out front, Like we've talked about it a bunch.
<v Speaker 1>I can't remember, Jan, is this a handheld that you
<v Speaker 1>were ever considering in the first place.
<v Speaker 3>It's it's like a it's a very long consideration process
<v Speaker 3>with with this specific one. Grub just because it'd be
<v Speaker 3>great to get game pass games on on a mobile
<v Speaker 3>device in an easy way. But I'm not chomping at
<v Speaker 3>the bit to grab this specific asis uh uh raw
<v Speaker 3>Roger X unit ally shouts out to being an ally,
<v Speaker 3>especially seeing the price tag.
<v Speaker 2>Attached to it. Yep.
<v Speaker 1>Uh if it's you know, right there bordering on a
<v Speaker 1>thousand dollars for the one for the variation that I
<v Speaker 1>think would be the most interesting for me personally. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>Because if I'm going to get another handheld, especially if
<v Speaker 1>I'm spending my own money at this point, I want
<v Speaker 1>to see a pretty sign. I want to see a
<v Speaker 1>pretty significant update upgrade over the handhelds I'm using right now.
<v Speaker 1>And you know, I thought like, actually, there's still some
<v Speaker 1>debate and chat about whether it's a Z two Extreme
<v Speaker 1>or not, which would be the upgraded chip. I again,
<v Speaker 1>I thought that might be the wave after this one.
<v Speaker 1>But either way, like I was looking at the specs
<v Speaker 1>at LA or in out when we were in LA
<v Speaker 1>when they announced this thing, and it's like, okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the memory bandwidth and the numb and the amount of
<v Speaker 1>RAM in this thing is pretty like twenty four gigabytes.
<v Speaker 2>It's wild. So it's gonna have it's going to be
<v Speaker 2>an upgrade in some ways.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, I steam decks set a floor for me,
<v Speaker 1>or set an expectation of around six hundred dollars, you know,
<v Speaker 1>six hundred to seven hundred for the good variation, And
<v Speaker 1>so we're gonna put a little bit of Xbox you know,
<v Speaker 1>stank on top, and that that's gonna make it worth
<v Speaker 1>another three hundred dollars, Ye don't.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, when when you cross that threshold of six hundred
<v Speaker 3>dollars for a handheld device, I don't know what kicks
<v Speaker 3>in inside of my brain of like, oh, that's a
<v Speaker 3>little too much for me now. And yeah, just having
<v Speaker 3>a little bit more Xbox stank on a grub is
<v Speaker 3>not enough to persuade me.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And I, you know, seeing this price, like I
<v Speaker 1>start to get the idea of Microsoft has put on
<v Speaker 1>hold or effectively canceled its own personal reference hardware, which
<v Speaker 1>it might still you know, make internally or something like
<v Speaker 1>that to show to partners, But it doesn't sound like
<v Speaker 1>they're turning that into a product anytime soon. You kind
<v Speaker 1>of get the sense of, yeah, the the them wanting
<v Speaker 1>to subsidize hardware is and they're already doing that a
<v Speaker 1>lot of times with the standard Xbox. Do they really
<v Speaker 1>want another product that they have to subsidize or do
<v Speaker 1>they want to just keep working with third parties who
<v Speaker 1>will just charge what they have to charge, and then
<v Speaker 1>Microsoft can focus on the OS side of things, the
<v Speaker 1>operating system side of things, and then kind of let
<v Speaker 1>prices do what it needs to do on the hardware
<v Speaker 1>side of things. That's yeah, it sounds like a headache
<v Speaker 1>they want to avoid because there probably just is no
<v Speaker 1>good way to get these things in that six hundred
<v Speaker 1>to seven seven hundred dollars ranch that I'm used to.
<v Speaker 1>That's actually probably that was an extreme example because Valve
<v Speaker 1>seemed to be subsidizing a significant portion of that because
<v Speaker 1>they knew they would make it up on the back
<v Speaker 1>end by selling video games to people. You know, before
<v Speaker 1>that happened, before the Steam Deck came out, Jane, there
<v Speaker 1>was a huge number of these handheld PCs from a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of different companies, a lot of Chinese companies that
<v Speaker 1>were not they were not trying to overcharge, they were
<v Speaker 1>trying to like form a market, and even those were
<v Speaker 1>like twelve hundred to thirteen hundred dollars. So okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we're doing better than that. And I expect this Xbox
<v Speaker 1>handheld to be very capable and very nice to use,
<v Speaker 1>But I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>For me, we're talking about nine hundred dollars, that's a
<v Speaker 2>non starter.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, nine hundred dollars. That's that's a little too steep.
<v Speaker 3>It's a little too rich for my taste.
<v Speaker 2>Grub yep.
<v Speaker 1>Meanwhile, there is a rumor about the next Xbox console. Nah,
<v Speaker 1>you're joking, emphasis on console and not PC.
<v Speaker 2>That's you know.
<v Speaker 1>The longtime rumor here is that the next Xbox console
<v Speaker 1>would actually just be a PC and have like a
<v Speaker 1>console skin on top. Nope, sounds like it's going to
<v Speaker 1>be a traditional console. This is from Jonas Macki at
<v Speaker 1>Game Reactor. There's been a lot of talk about the
<v Speaker 1>next generation Xbox, with Microsoft making no secret of the
<v Speaker 1>fact that they are working on it and claiming it
<v Speaker 1>will be very powerful. Some leaks suggest that the console
<v Speaker 1>will be more closely related to a Windows PC in
<v Speaker 1>terms of hardware, in order to be able to run
<v Speaker 1>games from Steam for example.
<v Speaker 2>Let's you know rumor.
<v Speaker 1>We've talked about a lot, but now comes a rumor
<v Speaker 1>that claims the exact opposite. The well known leaker Extasist
<v Speaker 1>draws attention to a claim from AMD insider Kepler stating
<v Speaker 1>that the next Xbox will be a tradition console after all,
<v Speaker 1>and this seems to be at least partially backed up
<v Speaker 1>by Windows Central editor Jess Cordon, who, in response to
<v Speaker 1>another Extasis post about backwards compatibility rights, that it's true
<v Speaker 1>that the next Xbox will work with games from the Xbox,
<v Speaker 1>Xbox three, sixty, Xbox one, and Xbox Series SNX with
<v Speaker 1>no emulation involved. They would support it on a hardware level. Now,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you know what ways is that we're supporting
<v Speaker 1>that on a hardware level all those games. Does that
<v Speaker 1>mean there's going to be Xbox one hardware in there.
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking about the original x I don't think that's
<v Speaker 1>what they mean. I just think it's like, actually the
<v Speaker 1>hardware version of emulation they've already built, or they have
<v Speaker 1>the hardware that runs a certain set of emulation that'll
<v Speaker 1>just be continued going forward.
<v Speaker 2>Basically, it's going to be a console and not a PC.
<v Speaker 1>And to me that that makes sense, Jim, because we're
<v Speaker 1>talking about that handheld and one of the things that
<v Speaker 1>Xbox seems to be working on, or Microsoft seems to
<v Speaker 1>be working on, is ensuring that the Xbox OS rapper
<v Speaker 1>that might be like really coming to Windows in a
<v Speaker 1>big way is going to be able to have a
<v Speaker 1>robust emulation layer for PC, so it'll be able to
<v Speaker 1>play Xbox.
<v Speaker 2>Series X and S games on PC through an emulation.
<v Speaker 1>So do they really need to make the console PC
<v Speaker 1>or can they just keep going that way, keep all
<v Speaker 1>the backward compatibility that they already have, and then they
<v Speaker 1>can just have the PC run that stuff with emulation.
<v Speaker 2>Does that make sense?
<v Speaker 3>Because it works for me, it makes sense, grub I
<v Speaker 3>just I was under the assumption that these major console
<v Speaker 3>makers would kind of start shifting their approach towards being
<v Speaker 3>a little bit more open and embracing that PC market.
<v Speaker 3>So I'm a little surprised that this is going to
<v Speaker 3>be so strictly console focused versus trying to embrace slowly
<v Speaker 3>becoming a PC, especially with xboxes strategy lately of like
<v Speaker 3>that's an Xbox, that's an Xbox, that's an Xbox, and
<v Speaker 3>it seems like their next console is just going to
<v Speaker 3>be an Xbox.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I would have assumed that by kind of making it
<v Speaker 3>like some type of hybrid that you could get those
<v Speaker 3>folks that this could be an on ramp two PC
<v Speaker 3>games for some console players, just like the Steam Deck
<v Speaker 3>has kind of become that for a lot of players
<v Speaker 3>out there. But I guess because Microsoft doesn't have that
<v Speaker 3>whole PC market on themselves, that they wouldn't want to
<v Speaker 3>spread the wealth.
<v Speaker 2>I guess.
<v Speaker 3>If anything, I'm kind of more surprised that, like they're
<v Speaker 3>not trying to push for game Pass to be on
<v Speaker 3>more places.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it does seem like they are accepting sort of
<v Speaker 1>the stasis that game Passes found itself in. You know,
<v Speaker 1>the rumor that we've been talking about for a while
<v Speaker 1>was like, Okay, yeah, the reason they're doing this and
<v Speaker 1>this being the next Xbox will be at just a PC,
<v Speaker 1>which now this rumor is countering, But the reason that
<v Speaker 1>you know that we were given for that is they
<v Speaker 1>wanted to create this version of Windows where it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>would present your Xbox games to you, but then you
<v Speaker 1>could bring in your Steam games, you could bring in
<v Speaker 1>your Epic games and incorporate those stores and hit a
<v Speaker 1>button and you would just see all those games from
<v Speaker 1>all those stores on your quote unquote Xbox. And you know,
<v Speaker 1>they're kind of over trying to make the Xbox ecosystem
<v Speaker 1>this big walled garden that they make all the money
<v Speaker 1>off of. It's like No, we're going to let everyone
<v Speaker 1>in and kind of just make money mostly from our
<v Speaker 1>own games. And that's fine because now they have Minecraft
<v Speaker 1>and Call of Duty and they will make enough money
<v Speaker 1>from that stuff to fully justify that shift. Okay, if
<v Speaker 1>it is a console, is Steam really going to be
<v Speaker 1>able to work on that and that that's actually a
<v Speaker 1>little bit less likely now with this, So it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>nothing really changes for the most part in terms of Oh,
<v Speaker 1>they still have emulation on PC to run these Xbox games,
<v Speaker 1>so they will be able to unify in one way,
<v Speaker 1>but this other version of unification doesn't seem to be
<v Speaker 1>happening or would be much more difficult, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what the future of that is. Yeah, it's quick
<v Speaker 1>side question, Greb that I meant to bring up when
<v Speaker 1>we were chatting about Mind's Eye. I'm curious as to
<v Speaker 1>where people are seeing ads for video games these days,
<v Speaker 1>just because of how I have YouTube Premium and a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of stuff set up on my system. I don't
<v Speaker 1>come across too many ads on YouTube. I don't see
<v Speaker 1>ads on streaming services. So is it like TikTok ads?
<v Speaker 1>Is it Instagram stuff? Rent media? Is you know, up
<v Speaker 1>and down? So I don't see anything there. I don't
<v Speaker 1>see any bus advertisements for games. So now curious where
<v Speaker 1>y'all see the marketing budget of something like Mind's Eye
<v Speaker 1>being spent. I mean, the as far as I could tell,
<v Speaker 1>for Mind's Eye, the budget was spent on some Twitch
<v Speaker 1>partners to stream the game.
<v Speaker 2>Ah excuse me, which is probably.
<v Speaker 1>Which is probably the kind of thing where that is
<v Speaker 1>it's the only time you can actually reach this certain
<v Speaker 1>audience because, as you said, they aren't seeing ads in
<v Speaker 1>a lot of other places maybe Instagram, maybe b Reddit,
<v Speaker 1>things like that, where that the ads get integrated into
<v Speaker 1>their content so they're a little bit more difficult to miss.
<v Speaker 1>And then they don't have the obvious subscription thing that
<v Speaker 1>a Twitch has where it's like, oh, I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>watch this one person, I'm gonna subscribe to them, so
<v Speaker 1>I don't see ads there. It becomes easy to avoid
<v Speaker 1>as well. So yeah, I mean, I bet still a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people do see ads on Twitch. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I I mean, you bring up a good point. The
<v Speaker 1>way that these companies like can talk to us there
<v Speaker 1>doesn't seem to be a good use of that money
<v Speaker 1>when it comes to marketing because we are so easy
<v Speaker 1>to miss.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's interesting, Like I see a lot of people
<v Speaker 3>saying that they've seen twitch streamers and various twitch ads,
<v Speaker 3>but not I not all the normy gamers out there
<v Speaker 3>that would want a GTA six or or watching Twitch
<v Speaker 3>or into that live streaming ecosystem.
<v Speaker 2>So interesting, yep, all right.
<v Speaker 1>Well, meanwhile, Xbox might be looking at a way to
<v Speaker 1>let people know that, hey, your game Pass subscription is
<v Speaker 1>going to go up in price here pretty soon. A
<v Speaker 1>new code string attached to Xbox game Pass suggests that
<v Speaker 1>a price increase is maybe imminent. This comes from Jess
<v Speaker 1>Cordon at Windows Central. Microsoft recently raised the price of
<v Speaker 1>Xbox game consoles. Then it raised the price of games
<v Speaker 1>to eighty dollars. Outer Wild's two or Out of World's two,
<v Speaker 1>I should say, is going to be eighty dollars. Call
<v Speaker 1>of Duty is probably going to be eighty dollars as well.
<v Speaker 1>Next on the list might be game Pass, which, actually,
<v Speaker 1>you know, makes a lot of sense. You're raising the
<v Speaker 1>price of all these games. Well, now game Pass is
<v Speaker 1>worth more, so we could charge more for it. Over
<v Speaker 1>the past year, Microsoft and other companies have been gradually
<v Speaker 1>increasing the price of their products and services blaming things
<v Speaker 1>like Trump's Tara for sticky inflation and consumer confidence. Whatever
<v Speaker 1>the reasons, shareholders don't seem to be too bothered with
<v Speaker 1>Mega corpse like JP Morgan, Blackrock and Vanguard's that to
<v Speaker 1>earn millions via Microsoft's dividends payouts this quarter, But hey,
<v Speaker 1>hedge funds could always use some more. Right After raising
<v Speaker 1>the price of Xbox consoles and now controvers controversially Xbox
<v Speaker 1>Games to eighty dollars, Microsoft may also be on the
<v Speaker 1>cusp of raising the price of Xbox Game Pass two.
<v Speaker 1>Red Phoenix, That's what I'm going to say here. It's
<v Speaker 1>r D PHX who builds the rather amazing better xCloud
<v Speaker 1>Xbox Cloud Gaming enhancement project. Notice that the xCloud Xbox
<v Speaker 1>Cloud Gaming recently had to update for a new notification
<v Speaker 1>type dubbed subscription price increase. And that's all like one
<v Speaker 1>word like you would see it actually in the code,
<v Speaker 1>like a code string, and that that got added over
<v Speaker 1>the past couple of days. The string pertains to pop
<v Speaker 1>ups that Xbox Cloud Gaming serves to players who enable
<v Speaker 1>notifications on the Xbox dot Com slash Play web app.
<v Speaker 1>Most of them are innocuous enough, like reporting on rewards,
<v Speaker 1>earned achievement on achievements unlocked and blah blah blah. But
<v Speaker 1>now this one will tell you when the price going up,
<v Speaker 1>and Jen, I guess, I don't know if this one
<v Speaker 1>thing actually really indicates that a price increase is imminent
<v Speaker 1>anymore than it's like always imminent. Right, the price of
<v Speaker 1>these things is always just going to keep gradually climbing
<v Speaker 1>across the board, and that these things being game prices
<v Speaker 1>or the price for a subscription service like this, right.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, one hundred percent, greb, Like this is writing on
<v Speaker 3>the wall. It's to be expected that this was coming
<v Speaker 3>a very long time ago, that not just a game
<v Speaker 3>pass but subscriptions across the board are gonna find some
<v Speaker 3>way to justify, like, well, we got to raise a
<v Speaker 3>price by a dollar or more.
<v Speaker 1>Yep or more, and and yeah, I mean I think
<v Speaker 1>that one price increase is a prelude to another. So
<v Speaker 1>eighty dollars Outer Worlds too. That game comes out later
<v Speaker 1>this year, and people turn to each other and go, well,
<v Speaker 1>I'll just get game Pass because it's you know, I
<v Speaker 1>get Game Pass Ultimate for twenty dollars a month. I'll
<v Speaker 1>play that game, and I'll play this game and you know,
<v Speaker 1>it's four months before I've paid eighty dollars and I
<v Speaker 1>will be able to try, we'll be able to have
<v Speaker 1>played that game as well as a bunch of others
<v Speaker 1>in that time.
<v Speaker 2>It's an easy story to tell.
<v Speaker 1>And then Microsoft goes, yeah, it feels like a really
<v Speaker 1>good deal, right, you know, good enough that you would
<v Speaker 1>probably pay twenty two ninety nine a month.
<v Speaker 2>Right, like three three extra three extra dollars? What's that?
<v Speaker 1>You know, that's the only adds up? Like in three months,
<v Speaker 1>you still have not paid what you're going to pay
<v Speaker 1>for this game. It's just an obvious story that they
<v Speaker 1>can tell. And it does speak to the fact, though,
<v Speaker 1>Jan that we are at a point where it's like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>we're being manipulated in that way. Instead of hey, we're
<v Speaker 1>going to manipulate you by putting more features in here,
<v Speaker 1>making it feel like a necessary thing that you absolutely
<v Speaker 1>can't miss out on.
<v Speaker 2>It is now like just price.
<v Speaker 1>Manipulation back and forth to get us to pay more
<v Speaker 1>for all these things. And hey, that's that's the right.
<v Speaker 1>You have a product, you could try to do that.
<v Speaker 1>But a lot of people are going to like start
<v Speaker 1>waking up and being like, oh, I hate the way
<v Speaker 1>this feels now, this used to feel like a good deal.
<v Speaker 2>I'm kind of over it now. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Again, this is what I'm about to say, is my
<v Speaker 3>personal beliefs and everything thing grub I chose recently to
<v Speaker 3>unsubscribe from game Pass just to participate in the BDS protests.
<v Speaker 3>That are you know, pinpointed. Microsoft is one of those targets.
<v Speaker 3>And game passes a specific thing as well. Yes, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>and game passes a specific thing, and that kind of
<v Speaker 3>just where Xbox has been headed lately and the decisions
<v Speaker 3>that they've been making. I've just decided, like you know what,
<v Speaker 3>I'm not going to participate in this small ways where
<v Speaker 3>your dollar can count as a voice or a vote
<v Speaker 3>to protest something.
<v Speaker 2>Yep.
<v Speaker 1>And again that BDS is, Microsoft is complicit in what's
<v Speaker 1>happening in Palestine, according to the BDS movement.
<v Speaker 2>You're hearing more there. All right, let's see here. Well,
<v Speaker 2>I guess this continues the Xbox stories here.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wait, do we take a break? You know what,
<v Speaker 1>Let's take a break and then we'll get to the
<v Speaker 1>rest of these headlines. If you don't want to have

<v Speaker 1>It's game Mess decides. I'm Jeff Grubb. That's Janachoa, and yeah,
<v Speaker 1>my hair's grown a little bit.
<v Speaker 3>Gay Mess decides it's Tuesday night.
<v Speaker 1>Right, Game Mess morning? So oh no, my brain is broken.
<v Speaker 1>Oh no, it's Monday. Don't even I don't even have
<v Speaker 1>to do that show tonight. So yeah, what am I
<v Speaker 1>talking about? But hey, I got Mike Manatti with me.
<v Speaker 1>Hey there he is, Oh my god, Mike Manatti.
<v Speaker 2>Uh jan uh uh there was a did you see
<v Speaker 2>that Leelo and Stitch? I did good. I thought it
<v Speaker 2>was okay. I thought it was okay, it was ampletely fine,
<v Speaker 2>It's completely fine.
<v Speaker 1>Like I it joins the ranks of the live action
<v Speaker 1>movies where it's like, even if I have seen it,
<v Speaker 1>there's no way this is the movie I'm gonna be
<v Speaker 1>thinking of in a year when I say, hey, we
<v Speaker 1>should watch Leelow and Stitch.
<v Speaker 2>No. Yeah, like there's no chance of that.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I've thought that way, Like I thought The Little
<v Speaker 3>Mermaid was okay, and I just don't think about that
<v Speaker 3>live action movie at all anymore. I did watch the
<v Speaker 3>first twenty minutes of the Snow White live action movie,
<v Speaker 3>and I'm a big fan of Rachel Zegler. I think
<v Speaker 3>she was fantastic at the West Side Story, fantastic in
<v Speaker 3>that Hunger Games movie, fantastic voice across the board. But
<v Speaker 3>oh god, was that really hard to get through it?
<v Speaker 2>Uh?
<v Speaker 1>It looks it looks bad. That's one where I'm like
<v Speaker 1>not even gonna like bring it up. Hey, kids, do
<v Speaker 1>you want to watch this? Because I I'm good. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if I need that one.
<v Speaker 2>How to Train Your Dragon though live action DreamWorks Roomix.
<v Speaker 2>That one came out this weekend. That one. I will
<v Speaker 2>have to try to check the track down. The kids
<v Speaker 2>love that stuff. I yeah.
<v Speaker 3>The thought in the household came up of like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>should we watch the original before we watch the live action,
<v Speaker 3>and then I thought it's just.
<v Speaker 2>Gonna be like a carbon copy. I don't know if
<v Speaker 2>I want to see the thing twice. Yeah, exactly.
<v Speaker 3>I'm curious to see how the summer box office will
<v Speaker 3>will go for the Gang Over at Slash Film cast,
<v Speaker 3>because I cannot predict this summer box office at all.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, this one.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's already been a wild summer in terms
<v Speaker 1>of box office. So yeah, they do a bat box
<v Speaker 1>office guessing game each summer, is what Jan's were referencing,
<v Speaker 1>and it's like, should be time for an update on
<v Speaker 1>that here pretty soon.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm curious.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's let's see here we were going to
<v Speaker 1>talk about Minecraft's Vibrant Visuals update and as finally it
<v Speaker 1>finally has a release date, let's talk about that.
<v Speaker 2>This is from Vicky Blake at Eurogamer.
<v Speaker 1>Minecraft's Vibrant Visuals update finally has a release date of
<v Speaker 1>the seventeenth of June. We've known for some time that
<v Speaker 1>Mo Yang was planning on a visual overhaul for Minecraft,
<v Speaker 1>and yesterday the studio released a new video not only
<v Speaker 1>reminding us that the vibrant visuals or what vibrant visuals
<v Speaker 1>brings to the game, improving visual elements such as directional lighting,
<v Speaker 1>volumetric fog, and more, but also how the team achieved
<v Speaker 1>it and the new feature really does elevate the world
<v Speaker 1>of Minecraft. As the developer explains, every biome has its
<v Speaker 1>own atmosphere now, so warmer biomes will look more orange
<v Speaker 1>and yellowish, while cooler ones will take on a crisper
<v Speaker 1>blue appearance.
<v Speaker 2>There's you know, some comparison screenshots.
<v Speaker 1>There's like reflection on the water now, like it's not
<v Speaker 1>like a completely different game, but the sun has some
<v Speaker 1>luminance to it instead of just being a white block
<v Speaker 1>in the sky. That sort of thing. It's look stuff
<v Speaker 1>where people have messed around with mods. You have almost
<v Speaker 1>certainly seen this sort of thing before, but now they're
<v Speaker 1>building into the game.
<v Speaker 2>It is an option.
<v Speaker 1>So if you want to turn it off and get
<v Speaker 1>the original nostalgic visuals from let's do the years fifteen
<v Speaker 1>years ago. Actually, yeah, sixteen years ago. So if you
<v Speaker 1>want this sixteen year old visual style, then that's still
<v Speaker 1>an option for you for the most part. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>vibrant visuals. This is mostly interesting to be jammed because
<v Speaker 1>my kids are playing a lot of Minecraft, so Minecraft
<v Speaker 1>is top of mind. But also they've promised big visual
<v Speaker 1>upgrades before and not delivered on it. There was like
<v Speaker 1>going to be like HD textures or something like that,
<v Speaker 1>and then they kind of backed off, and then they
<v Speaker 1>were going to do a big ray tracing update, and
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if that ever really came about. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I know there was the beta on the Java side,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't know for Bedrock if it ever got
<v Speaker 1>that stuff. So hey, this is a visual upgrade that
<v Speaker 1>Minecraft is actually getting and it's out in a day.
<v Speaker 2>Cool.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's great for folks that may have only ever
<v Speaker 3>played or can only play Minecraft on like a console
<v Speaker 3>where you can't get like a texture pack downloaded from
<v Speaker 3>the internet, because there's been stuff like this going on
<v Speaker 3>for forever. I remember when this website was playing Minecraft
<v Speaker 3>super hardcore during the pandemic, a lot of us had
<v Speaker 3>explored different texture packs, maybe even joined a couple of patreons,
<v Speaker 3>I think, just to get some school cool graphics upgrades,
<v Speaker 3>because if you got to spend time building with blocks,
<v Speaker 3>grub might as well look nice.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, ray tracing is like one of the best
<v Speaker 1>examples of like the full global illumination and all that stuff,
<v Speaker 1>which is really heavy on systems, well works good in
<v Speaker 1>Minecraft because Minecraft has a low overhead in terms of visuals.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, I liked messing around with ray tracing in
<v Speaker 1>there and seeing how like light could like bend through
<v Speaker 1>like one block into another room and stuff like that.
<v Speaker 1>It was really neat to play around with the physics
<v Speaker 1>of that. But you know, this isn't ray tracing. It's
<v Speaker 1>just kind of a slight visual upgrade. But yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>think it looks.
<v Speaker 2>Nice, all right.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Switch two sets all time launch record for hardware
<v Speaker 1>in the US, beating the PlayStation four. This is from
<v Speaker 1>Jordan Midler at VGC. Nintendo Switch to has set a
<v Speaker 1>new record by enjoying the biggest launch week of any
<v Speaker 1>games hardware in US history. The record previously held by
<v Speaker 1>the PS four has been smashed by Nintendo's console, which
<v Speaker 1>sold one point one million Nintendo Switch units in the
<v Speaker 1>US during its first week on sale. In the US,
<v Speaker 1>Almost eighty percent of players who purchased a Nintendo Switch two.
<v Speaker 1>Also purchased Mario Kart World, either as a standalone fysical
<v Speaker 1>game or as part of the hardware bundle, which included
<v Speaker 1>the game as a pack end title. I'm almost surprised
<v Speaker 1>that's not one over eighty percent, for sure, of course,
<v Speaker 1>but it's like, man who is getting a switch to
<v Speaker 1>and not getting Mario Kart World. I wonder if it's
<v Speaker 1>like I'll just get it next week or something like that. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's bizarre. Overall, though game this systems obviously doing very well.
<v Speaker 1>This is more of an opportunity to talk about, like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>that first week did happen? We're you know, on the
<v Speaker 1>other side of all, like the introduction of the switch to.
<v Speaker 1>How's it going so far?
<v Speaker 2>What do you think of it so far?
<v Speaker 3>It's a great piece of tech grub, you know, just
<v Speaker 3>being able to play all those original Switch one games
<v Speaker 3>with increased performance and frame rates. It's nice to not
<v Speaker 3>have to compromise on that. There's a couple of titles
<v Speaker 3>I haven't checked out yet that I don't know if
<v Speaker 3>actually have an update. I would love to see a
<v Speaker 3>Xeno Braid, Zeno Blade Chronicles three update on the Switch
<v Speaker 3>two yeah, it's what.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't heard about, so I'm assuming it probably doesn't
<v Speaker 1>have anything yet.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, so if that comes down the line, I would
<v Speaker 3>love to fire that back up, just because while that
<v Speaker 3>game did as much as it could squeezing the Switch
<v Speaker 3>one to its absolute limits, I would like to see
<v Speaker 3>what potentially the Switch two could could do for that.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, I've been playing a lot of Splatoon three
<v Speaker 3>over the weekend. Holy smoke, scrub those kids just split
<v Speaker 3>splatting all over the place. Also, people are not good
<v Speaker 3>at it. People are too good at this game. Yes, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>it's it's wild. Like I mean, obviously the people who
<v Speaker 3>are still playing are still there.
<v Speaker 1>When I was checking in myself over the weekend and
<v Speaker 1>it was, yeah, just getting crushed. But you know, I
<v Speaker 1>was holding my own well enough. I think this is
<v Speaker 1>one of those games where it's like, I do want
<v Speaker 1>to play it. We should get We should ret rope
<v Speaker 1>in some friends and force them to play with us
<v Speaker 1>so we have so and more our speed. That would
<v Speaker 1>be a good time. But yeah, I mean I think that,
<v Speaker 1>you know, looking at okay, that eight per eighty percent
<v Speaker 1>number I put there is a handful of people. As
<v Speaker 1>Chat was pointing out that were like, Hey, now I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to play Tears of the Kingdom, and boy are
<v Speaker 1>they're in for a real good experience. Oh boy, I
<v Speaker 1>think there's a chance that like that, the fervor for
<v Speaker 1>that game dying down the way it has, and now
<v Speaker 1>people being like, I have a new system, I have
<v Speaker 1>this game that I've been waiting to play, and it
<v Speaker 1>runs better than ever.
<v Speaker 2>Let's check it out.
<v Speaker 1>I think people are going to be just like Red
<v Speaker 1>discovering Tears of the Kingdom for the next couple of
<v Speaker 1>years because of this very reason, and it's gonna really
<v Speaker 1>blow people away.
<v Speaker 3>That game is better than even its reputation. Oh one
<v Speaker 3>hundred percent. I think one of my favorite games of
<v Speaker 3>all time. Now I need Brad Shoemaker to finally finally
<v Speaker 3>play Tears of the Kingdom.
<v Speaker 2>God damn.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah yeah, And like you know, I know those guys
<v Speaker 1>are always pretty down on the switch hardware and being
<v Speaker 1>pretty old. Hey, now you get the switch to if
<v Speaker 1>he was able to track one down, I know that
<v Speaker 1>he was struggling with the pre orders, which that he
<v Speaker 1>wasn't alone in that. I hope, yeah, I hope he
<v Speaker 1>gets a chance to check out Tears of the Kingdom.
<v Speaker 1>As the last boy who played Breath of the Wild,
<v Speaker 1>the very last boy to play Uh huh exactly. All right,
<v Speaker 1>that that does it for the headlines. You know what, Jae,
<v Speaker 1>we have a little bit of time. You want to
<v Speaker 1>do a slight grub snacks transfusion into here and take
<v Speaker 1>one or two questions from the chat ah me.
<v Speaker 2>Uh me herek you go. Everybody yell me like a
<v Speaker 2>gummy bear.
<v Speaker 1>All right, chat, twitch or YouTube if you have a question. Shoot,
<v Speaker 1>we'll answer your question. Uh, and then we'll get on
<v Speaker 1>with the rest of the show and the rest.
<v Speaker 2>Of the week. Uh. Let's see here.
<v Speaker 1>How does mind's eye flop affect IOI. I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>know this was IOI. You know IO interactives publishing efforts, right,
<v Speaker 1>and it's the first major foray into that. If, if
<v Speaker 1>anything happens, I think it is a big sort of
<v Speaker 1>rock in the road, a boulder sort of like in
<v Speaker 1>their way. Now that their help, they'll have to move
<v Speaker 1>out of the way before they can get those publishing
<v Speaker 1>efforts like back up and running in a really strong way.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe this derails derails that a little bit. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if it does much to the studio side of
<v Speaker 1>the things. The side was making games. I would I
<v Speaker 1>would imagine Jan that when you're doing the publishing stuff,
<v Speaker 1>you're doing it with a separate bucket of money that
<v Speaker 1>just cannot affect what's happening with those games, because it's like,
<v Speaker 1>this is a new new a new chance to try
<v Speaker 1>something new, and you're not gonna start funneling funds out
<v Speaker 1>of the game to have this bet that is supposed
<v Speaker 1>to be an additive thing. While you have the foundation
<v Speaker 1>of we want Hipman to continue to grow and we
<v Speaker 1>want to make a new James Bond game. You don't
<v Speaker 1>want to screw that up, right.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I can't imagine that they would fudge with that
<v Speaker 3>like a war chest too much to publish a game.
<v Speaker 3>So I hope this also serves as a valuable lesson
<v Speaker 3>to IOWA to maybe lower their scope in what they
<v Speaker 3>want to help publish.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, yes, just I mean and even for
<v Speaker 1>your own games, right, like James Bond, you know, a
<v Speaker 1>globe trotting adventure that it's bound to be. I still
<v Speaker 1>think you should do things the Iowai way, which is
<v Speaker 1>when we have these levels we've made, We've never made
<v Speaker 1>something bigger than like say a city block or maybe
<v Speaker 1>even smaller than that. I guess the suburban area was like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's about a city block. Like, don't go beyond, like
<v Speaker 1>too far outside of your comfort zone? Yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 1>or if you're going to do that, to make sure
<v Speaker 1>you're doing it in a really smart way, maybe scope
<v Speaker 1>and scales not necessarily the idea, so you should be
<v Speaker 1>approaching there. I would just like to see more interesting
<v Speaker 1>interactions between things. I think that's where Iowa is very good.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe take that stuff to the next level. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>all right, let's see any other questions, any thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>the sale of Nexus mod to an unidentified buyer. No,
<v Speaker 1>let's take a look at this. Okay, yeah, this happened today.
<v Speaker 1>An update from dark one. Of course, the head matter
<v Speaker 1>is a dark one. After almost twenty four years of
<v Speaker 1>running Nexus Mods, the time has come for me to
<v Speaker 1>step back from the day to day management of the site.
<v Speaker 2>This isn't a decision I've made, lightly far from it,
<v Speaker 2>but one I think is both in my and the
<v Speaker 2>community's best interests.
<v Speaker 1>I started the project back in two thousand and one
<v Speaker 1>in my bedroom with a fifty six K modem and
<v Speaker 1>excitement for upcoming release of Morowind and with no grand
<v Speaker 1>ambitions or intentions. I'm happy to hear that the origin
<v Speaker 1>was a bethesta game. Let's see here. I didn't set
<v Speaker 1>out to build a business. I just wanted to make
<v Speaker 1>a place where motters could share their work without worrying
<v Speaker 1>it would vanish into the Internet either the next time
<v Speaker 1>a fan site went offline or a publisher decided they
<v Speaker 1>were done with it. That idea grew legs, spread at arms,
<v Speaker 1>and turned into Nexus mods. Since then, the site has
<v Speaker 1>been my entire adult life. Every single day for over
<v Speaker 1>two decades, I've been on call, whether it was fixing issues,
<v Speaker 1>reading feedback, pushing updates, or getting pulled into the latest.
<v Speaker 2>Bit of community drama, a drama in a scene.
<v Speaker 1>Jan I dare not believe that it's been rewarding, sometimes chaotic,
<v Speaker 1>often exhausting, and always personal. Somewhere along the way I
<v Speaker 1>forgot to step back and breathe or sleep properly. The
<v Speaker 1>dilemma of running a major social network that does not rest. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you won't think about it, but yeah, this is just
<v Speaker 1>like a thing that is people's lives and their social network. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they're updating stuff and upgrade uploading things. Either way, I
<v Speaker 1>guess Okay, so they're selling it and it's to somewhat unknown, So, yes,
<v Speaker 1>the ownership of Nexus mods has changed hands.
<v Speaker 2>But I want to be clear. This isn't some corporate
<v Speaker 2>exit or a backroom deal.
<v Speaker 1>This is me doing something I probably should have done
<v Speaker 1>years ago, taking care of myself, reclaiming some headspace, and
<v Speaker 1>finally letting go of the idea that I have to
<v Speaker 1>do everything and be ir responsible for everything myself. So
<v Speaker 1>to me, it sounds like he probably sold it to
<v Speaker 1>someone who's familiar with Nexus mods so that he could
<v Speaker 1>just step back that.
<v Speaker 2>That seems to be what's happening here. Yeah. Interesting. I'm
<v Speaker 2>someone who's who's used Nexus mods.
<v Speaker 1>I hope it is a resource that will not be
<v Speaker 1>will not suffer anything, and go away by any chance.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 1>Slay mcautain dropped a super chat, which is a good
<v Speaker 1>way to get the questions read have you rewatched and
<v Speaker 1>or Season two?
<v Speaker 2>Any new thoughts? I?
<v Speaker 1>As I was watching it, I would watch the three
<v Speaker 1>episodes on Tuesday, and then throughout the rest of the
<v Speaker 1>week I would try to like kind of slowly rewatch them.
<v Speaker 1>So I've already watched the season twice. I did actually
<v Speaker 1>started up again recently, it's kind of it is still
<v Speaker 1>the only thing I want to be watching.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna miss it. It is so good.
<v Speaker 3>Specifically shouts out to the people on the internet finding
<v Speaker 3>where and or Season two intersects with other shows like
<v Speaker 3>Star Wars Rebels. Oh yeah, so that's that's fun to see.
<v Speaker 3>Grub if anything, and or just makes me appreciate the
<v Speaker 3>original trilogy even more. Yeah, even to an extent. I
<v Speaker 3>think it boosts the prequel trilogy, and it kind of absolutely.
<v Speaker 2>Makes me so.
<v Speaker 3>Upset with the sequel trilogy and how we got there.
<v Speaker 3>Jesus fucking Christ. Also, yo, Ben Mendelssohn coming in for
<v Speaker 3>what ten minutes of screen time and fucking bunting on everyone. Jeez,
<v Speaker 3>so good.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, he was chewing it up. Yeah, everyone's so good
<v Speaker 1>in that show. It's it's incredible. Yeah, I'm gonna rewatch
<v Speaker 1>it again right now. I was, you know what I'm
<v Speaker 1>a I was watching that Light and Magic documentary, which
<v Speaker 1>is the Iom documentary. The first season was actually directed
<v Speaker 1>by Lawrence Kasdan, so it's like, you know, the writer
<v Speaker 1>of Empire Strikes Back and the director of Big Chill,
<v Speaker 1>Awesome director. He directed that During COVID and then they
<v Speaker 1>wanted to do a second season and Joe Johnston directed that.
<v Speaker 1>He's you know, original the artist on Star Wars alongside
<v Speaker 1>Ralph McCory, and then he would go on to direct.
<v Speaker 2>A bunch of movies and stuff like that. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>like he did Jurassic Park three, I think.
<v Speaker 3>Alright, I did do the thing grub where I hate
<v Speaker 3>that I do this where I think like, oh, that
<v Speaker 3>person would be great in a Marvel movie. But this
<v Speaker 3>time I realized, oh crap, you're already in one where
<v Speaker 3>I thought Stellan Scarsguard absolutely loved his performance in season
<v Speaker 3>one and two of and Or Jesus Christ. But I
<v Speaker 3>was thinking, oh, man, he would be a great doc
<v Speaker 3>oc for what's his face? Not Timothy Shallowmey's his Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I want to say.
<v Speaker 2>Tom, Tom Holland Tom, Yeah, not Tom Marnold. That's a
<v Speaker 2>different man.
<v Speaker 3>But stellin scars Guard is already in the mcuh in
<v Speaker 3>in the floor movies.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, that's right.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>You know, at a certain point it could be like
<v Speaker 1>Colombo on the Colombo they like, there'd be a killer,
<v Speaker 1>and then you know, several like a season later, that
<v Speaker 1>actor who obviously can't be that person again, he's already
<v Speaker 1>been caught.
<v Speaker 2>We'll just play a whole new person. I love that. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>and I want to see I want to see more
<v Speaker 2>of that in Marvel. Why not? Although I guess we're
<v Speaker 2>getting it with with r DJ, He's going to be different,
<v Speaker 2>sure character, although I think that's the work. All right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and Or very good. I do super recommend it.
<v Speaker 1>And uh it's it's like has legs and is becoming
<v Speaker 1>part of the popular culture right now because of how
<v Speaker 1>it speaks to what's going on.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, I.
<v Speaker 3>Folks, I cannot emphasize enough if watching and Or has
<v Speaker 3>not radicalized you even a little bit, what is going on?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean it kind of like like I was,
<v Speaker 2>there's a bunch of like.
<v Speaker 1>Social media accounts that like just post about Star Wars
<v Speaker 1>and Marvel stuff, and now they're like posting about the
<v Speaker 1>the the protests that are happening and stuff like that,
<v Speaker 1>and what's happening.
<v Speaker 2>In LA and they're like this looks just like and Or,
<v Speaker 2>Like isn't that crazy?
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, yeah, man, the show really woke you,
<v Speaker 1>even you up pop culture crave Wow, Blue Sky. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's go, okay, let's get to the poll question. This
<v Speaker 1>one is from last week. Let me refresh my page
<v Speaker 1>here or is it not going to work? Let me
<v Speaker 1>try to delete that. I'm gonna do one here giant
<v Speaker 1>bomb or YouTube dot com slash giant bomb and you
<v Speaker 1>go to the community tab and we can go ahead
<v Speaker 1>and oh wait post?
<v Speaker 2>Is that what it's called? Now there we go? All right?
<v Speaker 2>Do you still play Minecraft? Is gonna be the new one?
<v Speaker 2>Do you collect physical video games? Yes? Or no?
<v Speaker 1>Fifty six percent said no, forty four percent said yes.
<v Speaker 1>I have not collected physical video games in a long time,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't know if I ever would consider myself
<v Speaker 1>someone who collected them, I would acquire them to play
<v Speaker 1>the game. Jim, were you ever someone that collected video
<v Speaker 1>games or does so now?
<v Speaker 3>No? I merely I do not have the space nor
<v Speaker 3>desire to collect games. I understand everyone has their you know, interest,
<v Speaker 3>but it's just never been my bag.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like same way where I have a physical video
<v Speaker 1>game and I do get nice happy feelings from holding it,
<v Speaker 1>but it is separate from the feelings of remembering playing
<v Speaker 1>the game, right, and I just like those are two
<v Speaker 1>different hobbies at a certain point, and I don't need
<v Speaker 1>the one that, like you said, we'll clutter up my
<v Speaker 1>home and kind of just give me a headache when
<v Speaker 1>I am missing something. It's like I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>deal with that. Yeah, forty four percent do collect video
<v Speaker 1>game Still, that's a pretty high number. I think, even
<v Speaker 1>when we're talking about oh, this is you know, your
<v Speaker 1>audience giant bomb, they're you know, the kind of people
<v Speaker 1>that would collect video games. Even in that context, I
<v Speaker 1>think almost half of the people saying yes, I collect
<v Speaker 1>physical video games is pretty high and I think it
<v Speaker 1>shows like kind of you just can't give up on
<v Speaker 1>this space anytime soon. And really what you should be
<v Speaker 1>doing is trying to find ways to make this space
<v Speaker 1>more relevant to a modern audience and to a modern
<v Speaker 1>business sensibility.
<v Speaker 2>Like if it has to be a more.
<v Speaker 1>Bespoke thing, a more specialized thing, that's fine, but you
<v Speaker 1>can't ignore these people's money. These are the kind of
<v Speaker 1>people that spend a lot of money on video games.
<v Speaker 1>And this is you know had five thousand votes, so
<v Speaker 1>huge response here from people wanting to make it known
<v Speaker 1>that they do collect physical video games. All right, Like,
<v Speaker 1>as I mentioned, the new poll question is do you
<v Speaker 1>still play Minecraft?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, no? Or never did? We'll get the results of
<v Speaker 2>that and talk about it.
<v Speaker 1>On Game Metas this Morning Mornings on Wednesday, here on
<v Speaker 1>Giant Bomb speaking to Giant Bomb, Jan what do we
<v Speaker 1>have going on?
<v Speaker 2>We're gonna do that trailer round up today.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, let's go do the trailer round up today. We're
<v Speaker 3>gonna have a meeting right after this folks, to figure
<v Speaker 3>out what we got going on for the rest of
<v Speaker 3>the week. But it should be business as per usual
<v Speaker 3>now that Summer Game Fest is out of the way.
<v Speaker 3>So BombCast tomorrow gave mes mornings from Wednesday to Friday
<v Speaker 3>a blight club. I believe maybe the last one for Mikey.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe I have no idea scholars wrapping up.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it could be.
<v Speaker 3>It could be a voicemail dump truck and a upf
<v Speaker 3>of sorts, folks, and you know, we'll we'll scatter in
<v Speaker 3>some some quick looks if we get the time to
<v Speaker 3>record those. But also right if you missed it last week,
<v Speaker 3>we re uploaded and remixed the audio for the GB
<v Speaker 3>at Night Day one and Night one and Night two.
<v Speaker 3>They're all broken up into separate breakouts, so if you
<v Speaker 3>want to watch a specific couch segment, they are there
<v Speaker 3>for your Viewing Pleasure, as well as the vlog from
<v Speaker 3>Summer Game Fest.
<v Speaker 2>Please go check those out. All right, excellent. With all
<v Speaker 2>that in mind, we should probably wrap up this show.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna do like the trailer roundup of stuff we
<v Speaker 1>either missed or really liked from Summer Game Fest and
<v Speaker 1>PlayStation State of Play and the Xbox Showcase and all
<v Speaker 1>those other showcases. If you want to hit me on
<v Speaker 1>Blue Sky, you still time to add your favorite trailer
<v Speaker 1>to the potential consideration there. We'll react to a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of that today. It'll be later, probably like an hour
<v Speaker 1>from now, hour and a half from now. We'll let
<v Speaker 1>you Yeah, we'll let y'all know for sure. Like Jane said,
<v Speaker 1>we got to go get the meeting and solidify all
<v Speaker 1>this stuff right now, so we'll.
<v Speaker 2>Get to that.
<v Speaker 1>With that mind, Jana Chow, thank you so much for
<v Speaker 1>hanging out with me today man and talking about video games.
<v Speaker 2>I really appreciate it.
<v Speaker 3>I'm sorry everyone that I'm not lex Lutti.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, apology accepting. Thank you all for listening, thank you
<v Speaker 1>all for watching. You are the best audience in gaming.
<v Speaker 2>And as a.
<v Speaker 1>Reminder, gianbomb dot com slash join, come join us there,
<v Speaker 1>make this all possible. Until next time, have a good one,
<v Speaker 1>take care of yourself and good bye.
<v Speaker 2>He'll be like a don't be bare m mhm
