Every episode, we recap reality television from the Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well. Hey, Rainy drops on today's episode of Reality with the King, we are going to get into the Real Housewives of Miami latest episode. So this episode was kind of a filler with so many explosive things happening well that happened on the trip. In addition to us to come, this episode to me was like a nice reset so that we're able to really dive into some personal stories and we're able to dive into the makeup between Lisa and Larsa. So, look, Lisa and Larsa had to sit down conversation that was long overdue. And the beauty of this is the fact that it was just between the two of them. There wasn't anybody around, whether it's Jody and his eyeballs or whether it's the ladies egging them on okay or trying to insert themselves in the conversation. So Lisa and Larson said down, and they decided, look, let's squash our beef because it's getting out of hand. And I also think for them, I really do believe there was a real friendship when it came to how they vote, were just there for each other. This may be an unpopular opinion, but you guys know me, I don't give a damn. I felt that Larsa was a better friend to Lisa than Lisa was to Larsa. And if you guys have been watching the show since the reboot happened a couple of years ago, especially when Lisa was going through her divorce, Larsa was there for her. Larsa even gave her the play in terms of like what to do and what not to do, and even introduce her to a lawyer, gave her advice on you know, don't involve the kids, don't say this, don't do this on social media. She gave her the gameplay, and I felt that Lisa took advantage of that because Larsa was the one who showed up for her when no one else was there. Based on what we saw, and I know Larsa may not be the one people love to give credit to, but that we're gonna focus on the actual friendship between these two I have with these eyeballs seeing Larsa be there more for Lisa than the other way around. And what Larsa really wanted from Lisa was the fact that when she and Marcus Jordan broke up, Larsa wanted Lisa to at least give, if not one hundred percent, because it's different between going through divorce and going through a breakup, at least give fifty percent of attention and being there for someone the way Larsa was to Lisa. It's actually truth. It's true. She wanted fifty percent, just like she got fifty percent of Scotti Chicago Bulls four oh one k fons. Let me tell y'all something. Larsa is smart, and Larsa was able to really show the world how smart she is. So let's talk about the divorce settlement that Larsa received from her ex husband, Scottie Pippen. Okay, so, Larsa Pippen and Scottie Pippen finalize their divorce and laid twenty twenty one, with Larsa receiving fifty percent of Scotty Chicago Bulls four O one k fond. Okay, So that was part of their divorce settlement agreement. Okay, specifically fifty percent of their balance from their marriages starting in nineteen ninety seven until their separation date in November of two thousand and sixteen. The settlement, which was signed by the judge on June sixteenth, twenty twenty three, specifies that Larsa is entitled to this portion of the retirement funds which were deemed community property. And there you have it. Okay, there you haven't, there you haven't. So again, Larsa was trying to give Lisa the play in terms of how to deal with all of this, and when Larsa needed Lisa the most, she wasn't there for her because she was too busy being there for Jody. That's exactly what happened. It is what happened when Lisa and Lenny broke up. Yes, all the girls had apprenticeship with Lenny. All of the girls were over there at Lenny's house where he had all the influencers, all of the models, all of the fancy clad dressers who were there from son up to sundown, just saying, so, these ladies actually knew Lenny for a long time, and the moment they found out that Lenny treated Lisa this way and filed, they were all there for Lisa. But the moment Marcus Jordan broke up with Larsa and was on social media saying things about her. I don't understand why Lisa never understood that my girl is going through something. The least I can do is be there for her emotionally. And if she wants me to unfollow a motherfucker who was dissing her is easy as one, two three. That's what I got from me. And I think Larsa is old and apology by Lisa. I love Lisa. I think Lisa's a great housewife. I also think Lisa cares about Lisa. I don't think Lisa cares about anybody else but herself. I think Lisa is which is listen, it's fine. I think if we look back at all of our friends, we could look at somebody that has these traits. I think, you know, Lisa's a narcissist. And I'm not saying Larsa isn't either. But what I'm saying is one thing we have to get Larsa is we have actual evidence of her being there for her. So that's why I was on Larsa's side when it came to the destruction of They're Frisha, because Lisa tried it. Now Larsa for some reason really said that she's upset because Lisa said that she calls the paparazzi on her. Okay, what in the head of the brusban on here? This is what I will say about this. I don't think it's a big deal that celebrities called paparazzi on each other. As somebody who has been involved in reality television since two thousand and eight, I can guarantee you guys, ninety percent of reality stars called the paparazzi on themselves. And guess what, who gives a fuck? Your famous, your celebrity, Get all the photo ops that you need, get all the pictures that you need. I don't think it's a big deal that you are a reality star who calls the paparazzi on yourself to be photographed. I think that's fine. Paparazzi to reality stars. To me is the selfiaest that we do to ourselves and we post them on Instagram. We want to be seen, We want people to see us. I don't get the big deal with that. Heather and Bro denied it the Love Detective test that she took on OC said that she actually did it. Yes, she swung her kids. So I think any mother who sweats on their kids is telling the truth, because why would you go that far. However, I just don't think it's that big of a deal. Who gives a shit you call the paparazzi on yourself. It's similar to when you're at dinner and you ask the person next to you who's eating with their family, Hey, can you take a picture of me and my friends? I mean, am I tripping? I just don't think it's that big of a deal. I think it's okay. But look, they didn't like it and fascist that, so I digress. But that was the main thing that Larsa wanted to get across, and look, Lisa teared up and hopefully this was the final moment between them ever talking about this, because I got to be honest with you, I was getting tired of the hamster wheel when it came to their friendship, and I honestly do like them as friends, but I definitely think this has to stop. It just does it just does now. One thing that we saw this episode that to me was my favorite scene of the episode was Gerty's admission in terms of how she needs to have therapy by herself. So Gertie revealed that she and Russell have a tended couples therapy. And one thing that I've realized when it comes to a woman not only diagnosed with breast cancer but thankfully beating it. We dealt with this on Love and Marriage Huntsville when it came to Kimmy Scott and Maurice, where Kimmy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She's not cancer free, but she and Maurice talked about how it didn't affect a marriage, especially their sex life. So these are things that people we don't talk about a lot. We did it with Kimmy Scott and Maurice, and it's nice to see that Gerty is talking about this as well. So what we did see in this episode is Gerty attending therapy and Gerty talks about what happened to her when she was around nine years old. So as we all know Gerty is a Haitian American. So Gerty her family obviously from Haiti, and when she was nine years old, she and her brother moved to America and she talked about her parents dropped her off at this house. I'm I believe her family's house, not you know people she knew. These were people she meant for the first time. And where Gertie said which made me feel a greater well not feel peel, yes, but also just have a greater understanding of her, is the fact that as she's talking about this, she explains that for three months upon arrival, she'sa in this new house with these people she doesn't know, and how she can count on one hand how many times she and her brother were allowed to go outside, and how she was told to behave this way and have these manners and not say anything or not disrupt the peace because you know, the fear of them getting kicked out of this family's house and having to listen to these people. And in that moment, it made me understand Gerty much better, not that I did not have a greater understanding of her. Let's have a real conversation. I think when it comes to Gerty, a lot of people feel Gerty's too much, well, Gerty's personality is too much, or Gerty's out there too much. I happen to enjoy Gerty a lot. I got a chance to meet her on the podcast. I've got a chance to have dinner with Gerty and hang out with her. Gerty is on the camera who she is off camera. She's a fun girl. Gerty's like me. She talks a mile a minute. But you know, like we just had that comment. But Gerty's a sweetheart. And it bothers me that people don't really get a chance to see the Gerdy that I get to see off camera, not that she's a different person, but obviously we get to see more than forty two minutes of an ensemble episode where Gerdy may get at least five to seven minutes of airtime when it's based on just her. With all of that being said, what I found so fascinating is understanding of Gerty, and it makes sense why Gerty has the personality that she has. And while Gerty is outspoken and has all the spump, it's because as a little girl being nine years old, being sheltered in a house for three months where you're not allowed to go outside a lot. Gerty is free. Gerty has freedom to be herself because as a nine year old girl who did not speak English, who had to learn everything at nine, where her parents just dropped her off at this house. It now makes sense. While Gerty has the ambition and this bubbly personality that she has, because she has the freedom to be expressive, she doesn't have anyone telling her behave yourself and a lot of people may think Gerty's too much. What Gerty is showing us as a woman who now gets to choose to be eaten up for herself, and that's what I got from me. I'm even sure Gertie understands that, or the therapist understood that. But the moment Gerty said how she was treated, I instantly connected to who she is today and it all makes sense. It all makes sense. And that's the reason why Gerty does have a lot of people who love her and a lot of people who do enjoy her, like myself, because Gerty is authentically hard. And that's why these therapy scenes are so important, is because we get a chance to really dive into what makes an adult who they are. And if you trace it back to moments in their childhood, like Gerty had to do with the therapist asking her about the most traumatic experience that she remembers as a child. It will always make sense as you're connected to who you are as an adult. And that's exactly why Gertie is who she is. And even when she connected to the fact that as a child she was bullied, you know, she has to take on this name I believe was Amy or Alicia, one of those names. And you know, it's the fact that she now owns the fact that her name is Gerty and she's gertified and just all of these amazing things that I love. That's just so dupe about who she is. But anyways, going back to her being bullied, she was bullied because of her name. She was bullied because of how she looked. She was bullied because of the clothes that she wore. And then Gerty the adult woman, connected to how she felt pretty much when Julia threw the drink on her and nobody was there for her, and how she felt bullied in that moment, all of that makes sense. And when Julia threw the drink on Gerty. What was interesting about Gerty's reaction to that was. You could tell in the moment it happened, she felt stuck and that's why she didn't really do what a lot of people would have done or expected her to do, which is fight fire fire. I think at that moment, it was sort of like going back to who she was as a kid and knowing that this happened to me, and these women who are around me aren't chastising the person who did this to me. It all just made so much sense to me, and I hope that in that moment even the girls cannot understand Gerty more because going through that moment really, to me, brought back Gerty in terms of the young girl that she was, So I thought that was amazing. I really really really was really really happy to have seen that and really happy to know that Gertie gave the audience another self reflective moment of who she is. And that's why, listen, I want Gerty on the show for a very long time, because they have that level of awareness and runnability is exactly what makes her a great housewife. Speaking of great housewives, we have to get to Stephan Alexia. So look, Alexia, as you all know, I consider her to be the face of the show. I think it's obvious. I think Stephanie is a strong woman herself, obviously, but I also think Stephanie, you know, is used to being I think Stephanie used to being the boss in every situation. And Stephanie, for me, is somebody who just you know, has to be the boss. And Alexia it is the face of Miami Housewives. And I think Stephanie realized, look after weeks and weeks and weeks of filming, I now understand what I have to do. And I think at that moment Stephanie had to kiss the ring. She did. She did. I don't care what y'all say. Stephanie, as a businesswoman, understood the assignment of if you can't beat them, join them, and she now is going to join forces with Alexia, and it hopes to take down Marisol. That's what's happening. That was obvious, an Alexia, what you don't realize you did? You gave Stephanie momentum to go after your girl now. And this one on ones sit down between Stephanie Alexia, they talk about, you know how Stephanie felt hurt that Alexia and Marissol did not go on her plane. For the trip, and she thought they you know, developed a friendship because when they were at this restaurant in Spain, Stephanie left the table and she said she knew Larsa was going to you know, join her or try like it is that shade, like, of course Larsa's going to come after me, baby, Yes, But she said she was pleasantly surprised that Alexi at Marisol did because for her, she was like, okay, fine, this means that you know, they liked me. We were developed big a friendship, which is why she was surprised that they did not show up the next day to go on the twenty minute plane ride to another destination. Alexia decides to throw Marissol under the bus and said how she Alexia really wanted to go, but Marisol did it. And Alexia is like, look, marisaw his confrontation one thing about me. I'm going to be honest, and I'm gonna be honest, whether it's about me or my girl. I just believe in being honest. Which look, that's why I love Alexia because I can appreciate that. Now. The thing is this, there's nothing wrong of being honest, but give your goal of hisad stuff that you're going to be honest. If you know that your friend doesn't like confrontation, why would you put her in a situation where she's going to be confronted. That makes that makes no sense to me. If your best friend hates confrontation, you should not put them in situations where they're going to be confronted. What Alexa should have done to me is say, look, I think it's best if you have a one on one with Marisol because you're only going to get my side of how I felt. Marisol is not here to defend herself. However, I think you should have a one on one with her. And yes, listen, let me just stop there. They had it last week, Stephanie and Marisol, and I think Marisol gave I think Marissol stood up and said what was how she felt. I don't think Marisol backed down, but I think Alexia just gave Stephanie permission to go after her because Stephanie's a smart businesswoman and Stephanie knew if I'm able to drive a wedge between Alexia and Marisol, then I'm gonna do that so that I'm able to rise above the fray and take the crown away. I'm telling you it's similar to when Angela Oakley told Porsia what should be a said about her? It's all a game. Angela Oakley knew that. Look, Porsia came for my marriage, saying that, you know, making this joke that she can f Charles. All Right, Porscha, I see you want I'm gonna raise you twenty So she invites Porscha to her property, not her home, not her residence, not her primary residence, but to one of her investment properties. It says to her, yeah, how are you and Shamiyah? Because you know Shamia were saying things about you that was not okay. And what happened it was the moment a wedge was drawn between pors and Shamia. Now, the difference between that and Alexa Marisol is this, there was already something weird that they the lady saw between Porsha Shamiyah. Now, I don't think anything will break the friendship of Alexa Marissol. I believe they have a tight friendship, and I believe they will never allow anyone or anybody to come between them. Marissol cannot stand tap and made that very clear to Alexia even when she was talking to Alexi and her son at dinner, like, I just don't like the guy that's not going to drive away between down. So I don't think this thing with Stephanie will. But what I'm saying is Stephanie was smart enough to clock it and say, I am going to do this in an effort to really compromar assault, and I'm going to throw Alexia under the bus, which is why what we do know at the reunion is Stephanie and Alexia got first chair. So at the end of the day, Stephanie did what needed to be done, so we get to see this confrontation next week. So look, overall, I give this episode of B I thought it was really good to dive into the personal story, and I do believe that when it comes to Gerdy. My hope is that these ladies watched the scene and was able to be like, Okay, got it. I now have a greater understanding of Gerty, because I think that's what was needed in order to understand why she has the big personality that she does.
