00:00:03 Speaker 1: Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King. I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and Bell Collective. Every episode, we recap reality television from the Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well. 00:00:36 Speaker 2: Hey, rain drops on today's episode of Reality with the King, I'm here with two of the stars of Southern Hospitality. Okay, we got the dynamic duo of that is Michael's in leh. 00:00:55 Speaker 3: Is this like double trouble? 00:00:57 Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yeah, thank you so much for having us. 00:01:04 Speaker 2: Yes, listen, I'm happy to have you guys on Reality with the King because look, this show was off the chain, and so are the two of you. So as we sort of get into this incredible season, I have a pressing question first that I need to be answered. 00:01:19 Speaker 5: Okay, already getting to the mess. 00:01:24 Speaker 2: Em Amanda or Team Sierra Si. 00:01:29 Speaker 3: I had to check honey, oh my. 00:01:36 Speaker 2: What else? 00:01:37 Speaker 3: No, I'm Team Sierra too. 00:01:39 Speaker 2: I just have to do Listen my rain drops had to know whether or not the temperature check was going to be accurate. So look, you the test, but look. 00:01:50 Speaker 6: There's only one right answer with this one. 00:01:53 Speaker 2: I think so too. I think so too. And listen, we will see what happens at the reunion. And Congratsate Sierra, who not only is going to be an upcoming season of Dance with the Stars, she was at the meal. 00:02:04 Speaker 4: Yeah, and she looks fabulous, fabulous. 00:02:08 Speaker 6: I love the look. 00:02:10 Speaker 2: No, but you two look fabulous as well, So lets that I know you guys look great. So look, let's talk about this season, because honey, y'all did not take any prisoners. What has it about like watching this season unfold in addition to like the commentary surrounding it, do. 00:02:32 Speaker 6: You want to answer first? 00:02:34 Speaker 5: I mean, I feel like a lot of people can say the same that do, like the whole reality TV thing, Like when you watch the season back, you're obviously watching this like seven, eight, nine months ago, so you're like, damn, I said that, or ooh, like obviously there's things you wish you could have changed, but that's just the way the life goes and that's the way the cookie crumbles. So I don't know, I like to say that, like I like to live my life with no no regret, And it's like, maybe you have to react that way or get over that hump in a certain way to get to where I am now. 00:03:06 Speaker 7: I feel like it's all about. 00:03:07 Speaker 4: Growth, yes, yes, And we're watching our mistakes and we're living through them at the same time as like you guys, and so we're going to learn from those mistakes and take everything into account and just look at everything like we're watching it for the first time too, and so it's all a learning experience, and you know, we hope to learn from those mistakes and we hope to learn from our good moments too and use that for following years. 00:03:38 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:03:39 Speaker 2: Well, look, the thing is this The beauty of reality television and I've been producing it for almost twenty years, is the fact that you get to see yourself on TV. Because sometimes you're like, oh, I look like this, I sound like this. 00:03:53 Speaker 3: Yeah up, and it's sort of cringe. And then on top. 00:03:58 Speaker 2: Of that, you have to deal with the fans and their commentary, on top of anything that you may be insecure about just being on television. 00:04:07 Speaker 3: So listen, I think you are doing. 00:04:09 Speaker 2: A great job and I love that you two are obviously figuring things out, but that's all you can do. We're all along humans, and. 00:04:18 Speaker 5: We're the youngest on the show, so it's like, give us some grease. Everybody else is thirty and we're living. 00:04:23 Speaker 4: Life for the first time. Everybody is living life for the first time. So we're just trying to take it day by day and just hold on to this experience as much as we can, because while we're young, we should be doing stuff like this, you know. 00:04:37 Speaker 2: Yeah, So let's hit Michaels. You came in hot during the season with Molly. Okay, so as we're talking about reflection, do you feel like things escalated to quickly considering the fact that you know, you look you. 00:04:56 Speaker 3: Did thread a band heart also your thoughts. 00:05:02 Speaker 5: I think, you know, watching it back, I wish Lake wouldn't have, you know, lit the match that caused the fire. 00:05:09 Speaker 7: Okay. 00:05:10 Speaker 4: I may or may not have exaggerated a little bit. I exaggerated a little bit, but. 00:05:17 Speaker 6: She deserved it. You think she deserved it because she was being a bitch. 00:05:27 Speaker 4: I mean, she wasn't being nice. She was she was talking down to me. She said, I acted like a kindergartener. She was treating me with disrespect. I wish that situation would have been handled outside of work, because one we shouldn't have been having that conversation at work, which she was kind of pushing for. 00:05:45 Speaker 6: I was like, I'm at work. 00:05:46 Speaker 4: I'm at work, and so my response was a lot more monotone than I wish it would have been. 00:05:52 Speaker 7: She was pushing, she was pushing the baron she got yea, Yeah, she. 00:05:55 Speaker 4: Was pushing and pushing, pushing, and you know, I went to my big brother Michael's. I may have exaggerated, but shoot, I don't regret him defending hating me. 00:06:06 Speaker 7: Defending me. 00:06:08 Speaker 2: I love the fact that you're like, I may have exaggerated a little bit, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. So the thing with you, Michael's, the fans have been trying to figure out, like, Okay, where does this tension you. 00:06:22 Speaker 3: Have when the Mally come from? 00:06:23 Speaker 2: Because for them, outside of you know, Lake adding some hot sauce to it, where does this titsion come from between. 00:06:31 Speaker 3: You and Mally? 00:06:32 Speaker 7: Well, I mean, I feel like there's definitely a few different avenues. 00:06:35 Speaker 5: The first one is definitely having to do with work, like her firing. She liked to say that it was all of my fault, or you know, I'm the reason behind her firing, or that I, like, you know, came in with the AMO, but that was obviously not the case, and you'll see it play out towards the end of the season, and when we get to the reunion, you'll see. 00:06:54 Speaker 7: All the truth come out. But I would say I think that being a part of it was very hurtful for me, just because being my age, only twenty three years old, and working in the nightline industry since I was eighteen, and like just working my way up to a management role, like I already had this position for over a year and a half and like even over here by the time we even started doing the show period. 00:07:18 Speaker 5: So just for my management style or for that character to even be questioned kind of stung. So immediately I was like, yeah, you're gonna get it when I see you, Like that was immediately where my mind went. But I also knew time and place up until that night, so I think that had a lot. 00:07:37 Speaker 7: To do with it. 00:07:38 Speaker 5: I think my relationship ending, like she was obviously really good friends with my ex, and I feel like when you go through this kind of experience and you're friends with somebody, your initial thought is like, oh, like, if my relationship ends, my. 00:07:51 Speaker 7: Friend's gonna ride for me. 00:07:52 Speaker 6: They're gonna be there for you. 00:07:54 Speaker 7: Yeah, but I mean that obviously wasn't the case. 00:07:56 Speaker 5: So I mean her firing then the relationship ending, I was just like, you know what, those two going hands so out the door. 00:08:04 Speaker 3: I don't care as you break up your ex. Did you really cheat on Preston? No? 00:08:12 Speaker 7: Okay, So if I did, I would have. 00:08:15 Speaker 5: I would have said yeah on the show, Like my thing is I don't have anything to hide, and I've said since a one like I'm gonna live my life and like share my truth and. 00:08:23 Speaker 7: Be unapologizically me. 00:08:24 Speaker 5: Like if I if I sat there and just lied about it, the truth is gonna come out eventually, So why am I gonna lie about it? 00:08:31 Speaker 6: And you would have broken up with him? 00:08:32 Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that if anything like, I definitely would have broken up with him before I even had the idea of doing something like that. It's just not my nature, it's not my character. I feel like growing up, I already had like a really hard time like with relationships alone. 00:08:46 Speaker 7: So I feel like the. 00:08:47 Speaker 5: Friendship breakup already have hurt me a lot with Molly, so I think going into the relationship being another factor in that, aside from the job thing and her talking you know shit about me around town. 00:08:59 Speaker 7: Sorry, are we lot of hers? 00:09:02 Speaker 3: Yes? 00:09:03 Speaker 7: The key I don't know. 00:09:05 Speaker 5: I don't know. 00:09:05 Speaker 7: You go sometimes you gotta be careful. 00:09:08 Speaker 5: I just think that those three things were just kind of like, Okay, we're either going to get to a place where it gets worse and they're not coming back from this, or it's going to get better and we're going to. 00:09:17 Speaker 7: Be cool and like we can keep it corch and keep it. 00:09:20 Speaker 2: Cute when it comes to you being ugly gay. I mean, first of all, congratulations on the Glad Media Award. 00:09:28 Speaker 7: Thank you that. 00:09:31 Speaker 2: You know the community rallied around you when you're coming out. Story came about. Do you feel like this sense of responsibility. 00:09:39 Speaker 3: Now that you know you're openly gay on. 00:09:42 Speaker 2: Television to represent the community or do you feel like, you know, listen, you're a young man figuring things out, you living your life out and proud on television. Are you more focus on making sure you represent yourself? 00:09:58 Speaker 5: I think more so representing myself only because I feel like that has a lot to do with the sense of community. I feel like just growing up alone and sharing my story and having the cameras around to capture all these moments, I feel like it's very helpful for someone that's maybe in my same shoes, so like in my mind, instead of worrying about what the world thinks, or like what the community thinks, or how I'm representing the gay community, and more so thinking about myself and how I'm how I'm more so helping other people as time goes on, and how my story can benefit them and help them. And I think that's just the best way I could really go about it, instead of sitting there and being like, oh my god, like the gay community is going to disown me if I do this. 00:10:43 Speaker 7: On TV or if I do that, like just be yourself. 00:10:46 Speaker 5: Yeah, Like we all have moments, and I feel like the beauty of doing this show is being transparent, going through this journey and having the cameras capture it and it play out and then you know, to feedback at the end of the day. 00:10:58 Speaker 6: And people love the awesome inticity rather than a fakeness or somebody that is trying to be perceived as something that for sure. 00:11:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, So Lake, Look, you know there's a lot of Charleston gossip. So when it comes to the stories that we're seeing, would you say some of it is exaggerated because you know, look on the show, there's tons of talks about you know, like the back alley blowjobs, and you know, people are saying Maddie has been completely gaslight or gaslighting. 00:11:33 Speaker 3: So what is truth or fiction. 00:11:37 Speaker 2: When it comes to some of that Charalston gossip that happens on the show. 00:11:40 Speaker 6: I think it's like fifty to fifty. 00:11:42 Speaker 4: I think a lot of it is true and a lot of it is fabricated. You know. It really just depends on who you're talking to and what you're talking about, you know, in regards to me, I mean lately I feel like a lot of the stuff has been fabricated. 00:12:01 Speaker 3: But when I come to exactly in your opinion, I mean like. 00:12:06 Speaker 4: In the most recent episode, the O'Shane threesome, I never had a threesome with him, and I never you know, I never had a threesome with him on Joe's birthday, And the only person I went home with that night was the girl that I came to the party with and so that was like a whole fabricated lie that kind of turned into like, oh, he has a girlfriend and Linke's this homewrecord, when that was never the case. When we did have relations, it was years ago and he didn't have a girlfriend at the time, so it was you know, that was a fabrication. And then there's these fabrications of me being complacent in some of Emmy's actions. I was never complacent in it. I never would condone or condone anything of the life of what she. 00:13:00 Speaker 6: Said regarding brad Or. 00:13:04 Speaker 4: I would never and so and so there's those fabrications. Some stuff that has like truth to it is that I'm a very forgiving person and I give grace to those who make mistakes. And so I do give grace to those because I think we've talked about this conversation of trust. When I give somebody my trust, I am a very loyal person, and so I give certain people my trust and my efforts and friendship. And when that happens, I'm going to be there for them, and I'm going to try and educate them on their wrongdoings. 00:13:42 Speaker 6: And I'm not going to. 00:13:46 Speaker 4: I'm not going to look at them like an evil person when they make a mistake, I'm gonna be like, Okay, let's fix this mistake. 00:13:55 Speaker 6: But I'm not like complacent either. I don't know, it's all. 00:13:57 Speaker 3: It's all. 00:13:58 Speaker 6: I can be a little too nice sometimes. 00:14:00 Speaker 2: Well look, you know that's why you have Michael's for you, because you know I'm no nice girl. 00:14:06 Speaker 3: No, no, he's the devil on your shoulder. 00:14:15 Speaker 6: He's like, no, like you need to do this and this and this and this and this. 00:14:19 Speaker 8: Yeah. 00:14:19 Speaker 5: And then when she doesn't do it, and then she goes back, she's like, who, You're right. 00:14:24 Speaker 6: And I'm like, I know, yeah, but you know, we live and we learn. We live and we learn. 00:14:31 Speaker 7: That's true. 00:14:31 Speaker 3: That's true. 00:14:32 Speaker 2: I want to talk about Willem Emmy, okay, because yeah, Lake, you were close with Emmy. So from your perspective, do you think that in Mey and Will were actually in love or are we watching like a toxic cycle playout for television? 00:14:52 Speaker 3: Obviously, answer that too, well. 00:14:55 Speaker 4: Will is not on the show, no longer on the show. And so when I look at their relate reationship and after like spending time with him, I don't think that he cheated on her. And I think that they're getting married, and well, I know that they're getting married, and so let them get married and let them be happy together and stop pushing like the cheating rumor stuff when there is no tangible evidence to that. And so that's my peace of mind when it comes to like, well, he's not on the show anymore, so it's like I can't comment on his actions if he's not a part of the cast or the friend group anymore. 00:15:34 Speaker 6: He's his connection is with Emmy. 00:15:38 Speaker 1: This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. 00:15:42 Speaker 7: Let's get back into the show. 00:15:45 Speaker 5: Whenever anybody brings it up on more so, like, well are we still talking about this, Like. 00:15:50 Speaker 6: Yeah, they're getting married, Like they're. 00:15:52 Speaker 7: Getting married already, Like I don't care. 00:15:55 Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he's not on the show. They're getting married. Let them do their thing. 00:16:00 Speaker 5: Y'all are a little too worried about people's relationships. You need to be worried about your job security. 00:16:04 Speaker 7: Worry about your job, because how y'all don't have one. 00:16:08 Speaker 3: So I meant put a name on it. Michaels. 00:16:13 Speaker 7: Ask me the question you ask. 00:16:14 Speaker 6: Just know we have our job. 00:16:17 Speaker 3: Who's not doing their job? 00:16:20 Speaker 7: You'll find out? Should I say no? 00:16:27 Speaker 3: When she's trying to be messy michaels I asked him, I. 00:16:33 Speaker 2: Seem no, okay, all right, you don't want to say it. 00:16:41 Speaker 6: Oh well you see where the split is. 00:16:46 Speaker 3: All right, that's all fair. Let's get to Justin. 00:16:51 Speaker 7: Okay, that's favorite person. 00:16:57 Speaker 3: Why you sip a Chick fil a cup? Child? Is that lemonade? Honey? Or is a spike? Okay? 00:17:11 Speaker 7: Not on camera? Not only come on, okay, not the allegation. Sorry, So. 00:17:20 Speaker 3: Justin, why is that your favorite person? According to Michael, he's. 00:17:25 Speaker 6: My least favorite person. 00:17:29 Speaker 3: Well, he should talk about. 00:17:30 Speaker 2: That, because you know, you've been accused of leading the charge of throwing salt in his game this season. I do this love triangle between Jordan and me, you know all that stuff. 00:17:44 Speaker 4: Him Him and Jordan were in a full on, basically relationship. They lived together, She had the toothbrush at his house. They were talking about certain things. Jordan met his mom. You'll see more details at the reunion because I bring my receipts, and so it's just kind of like he was leading her on and downplaying the relationship to the public eye. 00:18:06 Speaker 6: And there's messages that show like we'll. 00:18:09 Speaker 4: Come out soon, and like be together openly and like all this stuff and like doing this thing with Jordan's head, and it wasn't okay. In regards to Mi, I wasn't only mad at her base off of the Jordan situation, but Jordan was a factor into that because Jordan is one of my close friends and so obviously I'm going to be there to defend her when she doesn't have a voice to defend herself. She doesn't get the confessionals, she doesn't get the screen time that we get to voice our opinions. 00:18:40 Speaker 6: And Jordan and Mia were. 00:18:41 Speaker 4: Friends, and she wants to say that they weren't friends when they hung out multiple times. Jordan was roommates with Molly, and Molly and Mia are super close. They would see each other all the time. We went on a trip to Vegas all together where Jordan and Justin met and they were clearly like coupled up love islands the whole entire trip. 00:19:01 Speaker 6: Mia saw all of that. It was it was insane. 00:19:05 Speaker 4: They were like they were like boyfriend girls my first day on the trip, like I saw it and everybody else saw it, and so Mia knew that, and that's what frustrated me. And then there was other things that happened between me and Mia besides the Jordan stuff that really irked me, and you guys will find out more at the reunion. But just like you know, coming into this group, I looked up to Mia because she's a strong woman and she knows how to hold her ground. She's beautiful, she's intelligent, and I looked up to her. But when you act like a mean girl towards me, it makes that once once admiration just go to the trash can, because like she's making little comments about my maturity, making little comments about my emotional stake, making comments about how I act, and it's it's like not out of endearment, like we make comments towards each other out of endearment, Like sometimes I'm like, oh, you know, I'll say something to you out of endearment, out of love. 00:20:08 Speaker 6: No, this was a straight strait of bullying. 00:20:11 Speaker 4: And so when she's making those comments, I get, you know, this built up of it, and then I lash out. Maybe I should have lashed out in a different way or in a different scene, not just's birthday, but it was built up and there was more to that story. 00:20:28 Speaker 6: Than just me defending my friend Jordan. 00:20:32 Speaker 4: It was me defending myself as well, and I don't regret that at all. 00:20:37 Speaker 7: The other Ringion's crazy. 00:20:41 Speaker 3: I can't wait. 00:20:44 Speaker 6: We both come with receipts okay and timelines. 00:20:49 Speaker 2: Seevs at Walgreens at your service, cash register full of receipts. Another thing that was crazy that we have to get into is the Polly Best Trip, obviously because that was the first time where we saw y'all friendship being tested. 00:21:07 Speaker 3: How were you two able to work? 00:21:11 Speaker 5: Oh, you're talking about as I think the thing is, you know, going into this experience together. Lake and I kind of sort of formed a friendship before because we kind of made a pact that we were like listen, like we're in this together. We're in this together, like, let's live it up, let's have a great time. These are memories we're going to look back on years from now. 00:21:30 Speaker 6: From the first day that we met, we were inseparable. 00:21:33 Speaker 5: Yeah, Like the first thing we met, we literally stayed up till like I was working at for Public. 00:21:37 Speaker 7: She wasn't working there yet. She met me and she was like you're so beautiful, and I was like like swatting her away, like she was not like. 00:21:44 Speaker 4: I was, like I was you're so beautiful, and I like lingered around and I was like, can we hang out after your shift? 00:21:50 Speaker 5: And we like we went to an after party and we stayed up till six am. We waited till Duncan Donuts opened, and like we were just like kieking and having a field day. And I was like, do you like Doja cap? And she was like and we started listening to Doja cat like. And I think the thing is like we formed a friendship way before the cameras, so whateverything was coming out and started to play out, it was very genuine and authentic. And I think the thing is a lot of the audience they're on, they're seeing three months of our lives, so you're not capturing the other months where there are no cameras. And I think that that's what's very difficult. Like our relationship is very sibling like giving brother sister relationship and together. 00:22:32 Speaker 7: Yeah, like the just the way that we fight is like you and your siblings. 00:22:37 Speaker 5: And I feel like when people watch it back, it's like, why is Michael getting mad at her and giving her the cold tolder. 00:22:42 Speaker 7: It's like that's how I am with my siblings. Like my siblings and I were always. 00:22:46 Speaker 5: Like that growing up, Like I know you remember growing up with your siblings and you would just beat each other up for. 00:22:51 Speaker 4: You can fight for a whole day and then once you forgive each other you go straight to like normally, it was so like quick turnover. We fought for it a day and then at the end, I was like, oh I miss this. We hug each other and then it's over and then we don't talk about it again. 00:23:07 Speaker 6: Because that's just how it is. 00:23:09 Speaker 4: And you know, I tell you everything, you tell me everything, and it was all basically over a misunderstanding and that also later gets revealed. But you know, we love each other, we find like siblings. 00:23:24 Speaker 6: It is what it is. 00:23:25 Speaker 3: Yeah, no, And I love that for the two of you. 00:23:27 Speaker 2: One of the things that the audience felt was happening was the microaggression issues with Emmy. We was talking about being scared of Brad and alleging that he stalked her after the reunion. So when it comes to Brad, do the two you feel like he was being described by Emmy accurately or do you feel like she crossed the line? 00:23:52 Speaker 7: Shesed cross the line. I think my biggest thing is too. 00:23:57 Speaker 5: Like I always tell her, I'm like, I'm never going to be that friend that doesn't hold you accountab work tells you when I think you're wrong, because I'm just I'm not that friend that's just going to bend over up backwards and like get fucked in the ass because you want to say whatever you want and I'm gonna ride for that. 00:24:12 Speaker 7: That's just not me. 00:24:13 Speaker 5: I've never been that way, and her and I had I feel like before we even filmed this past season was like a very close friendship and we were like picking up the pieces from last year because I obviously had issues with her from last year when we went to Lake's lake House, and then I think just going into this year, just the way that she spoke about Brady. Immediately, I was like, you can't say things like that, like drop it, let it go. 00:24:37 Speaker 6: And then I think personally because you are also. 00:24:40 Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's like, I think we obviously cover it more when the reunion comes, although I felt like there still wasn't even a lot of time to really get into it. 00:24:49 Speaker 7: I think that. 00:24:52 Speaker 5: Just being able to give people grace and the situation is different because I especially with the way that I handled it, I would say It's very different from the situation with Lake or anybody else on the show that I may have conflict with, because the last thing I wanted was to sit there and get into some kind of conflict with her or something similar to happen, and then to be labeled as that too. And then it's like, girl, we're trying to help you, like, don't say things like that, like you like, come on, We're on a show, like this is gonna come out and you're not gonna like it when you see it. 00:25:29 Speaker 7: So it's like it was. There were a lot of growing pains. I feel like the way he was described was not appropriate. We don't agree with it. 00:25:39 Speaker 5: And I think that you will see later why, especially at the reunion when it gets revealed why she was so hyper fixated on it. 00:25:46 Speaker 4: Yeah, and she goes into this tangent of blind loyalty. She expects blind loyalty from us. But what I have tried to explain to her multiple times that blind loyalty is contradictory. How can you be loyal to something that you're blind to, you know, something that you can't see. You know, you want to have loyal friends that are going to tell you what you're doing wrong, like what you're doing wrong? When you do something wrong, you know, you don't want to let friends sugarcoat it. That's not that's not loyalty to me, my loyal friends like you, you tell me when I'm doing something wrong. 00:26:23 Speaker 5: I think my biggest thing is too throughout the summer, and you'll keep seeing it play out as the next few episodes go on. It was extremely difficult to navigate. 00:26:33 Speaker 7: The whole entire broad and Amy situation, especially being in the middle and trying to explain as somebody that was closer to. 00:26:38 Speaker 5: Her, like hey, like you need to drop it, you need to let it go, like you're not You're obviously not going to listen to somebody you're not friends with, So who better to listen to than somebody you're friends with. 00:26:47 Speaker 6: We told her to let it go, so the. 00:26:49 Speaker 5: Whole entire summer, and I think the biggest issue with it all was more so demanding blind loyalty when you can't give that to somebody else. 00:26:58 Speaker 6: Yeah, and it just does makes sense. Blind loyalty is a lie in itself. 00:27:05 Speaker 3: Do you feel like like when you you know your mother famous. 00:27:08 Speaker 2: Last words was don't discuss black people's business. 00:27:11 Speaker 7: With white people. 00:27:12 Speaker 2: Do you feel like that still stands and that's something that you still have to like remind yourself of sometimes. 00:27:19 Speaker 6: Yeah, So what my mother was doing was what several. 00:27:23 Speaker 4: Black mothers do with their black daughters, is reminding them of the certain privileges we do and don't have, you know. 00:27:32 Speaker 6: And so my mother was doing a mother's work. 00:27:35 Speaker 4: She and I follow her advice and I listen to her and I love her so much. We talked to me all that every single day because my mom is just she is that counseling woman that will tell you straight up and give you that tough. 00:27:50 Speaker 6: Love that you need when you need it. 00:27:52 Speaker 4: And in that moment, you know, having that conversation, I do deeply regret having that conversation with Ella for her to then go and tell emmy of what that conversation contained. And so I regret that. I regret that I made a mistake and I will own up to it. And and it just like tumbled down into a whole discussion. And then I'm having this conversation with Brad, and I think that we made a lot. 00:28:19 Speaker 6: Of headway in that conversation. 00:28:21 Speaker 4: I'm very proud of that conversation, and I think it made a lot of growth for our friendship to develop from there. But yeah, ultimately I have regrets this past season, but I'm learning, and everybody makes mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. But now my mom is straight up. She told me straight up, and I love her for that. 00:28:43 Speaker 7: I love her. 00:28:48 Speaker 4: My mom. 00:28:49 Speaker 6: She knows what's up. She knows what's up, and she'll tell me straight up. And so I love. 00:28:54 Speaker 4: She does the Lord's work, does well like she does the Lord's work. And you know, she she I needed tough love there. She needed to remind me who I am and what what like, she needed to remind you who I am. And that reminder was very valuable, valuable for me the rest of the season and the rest of my life. You know, I'm going to be more mindful about things that I do and say. 00:29:22 Speaker 6: You know, I do have a big mouth, but I'm working on it. 00:29:28 Speaker 3: We all do. We all do. 00:29:29 Speaker 2: And speaking of working on stuff, it's nice to see you working on your anxiety and being open about that. So, like, have you been following different techniques in terms of handling that? 00:29:43 Speaker 3: How is that going for you? 00:29:44 Speaker 6: I mean it's a work in progress. 00:29:47 Speaker 4: Right before this, I was a therapy, so so you know, it's a work in progress. 00:29:53 Speaker 6: I have my different coping mechanisms. 00:29:56 Speaker 4: I think that there is a lot of anxiety built up with you know, alcohol. This past summer, I was drinking and I was smoking a lot of weed, and so i went sober in September and I've been sober off of everything since then, and I've just been. 00:30:12 Speaker 6: Kind of situation. 00:30:14 Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you. I'm trying to make it to a year. I'm almost there, and so having this clear. 00:30:20 Speaker 5: Mind, I'm like, this past weekend, but yeah, I just got back from New York. 00:30:27 Speaker 7: I was partying for like, but you. 00:30:31 Speaker 4: Know, having this clear mind of being sober has helped a lot, even if I'm only like, I'm only limiting myself to a year of doing it because I wanted to see how long I could do it, and so I think a year is perfect and then I'll find better moderation with that. 00:30:47 Speaker 6: Because I didn't have that moderation. I was just kind of like, for me, up for me, up for me. 00:30:53 Speaker 7: Yeah. 00:30:53 Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'm so proud of you, even like I said opening about that, because it affects so many people that you know are quiet about it rightfully, So this is a private thing. So again that's the beauty of being a reality Television's helping those who may not be so you know, courageous to speak about it publicly. 00:31:12 Speaker 3: So prop for you there. 00:31:15 Speaker 2: So of course, of course, of course I love that Michael's your career. 00:31:19 Speaker 3: We have to get into that. 00:31:23 Speaker 2: Look, you are building up your repertoire and everything going on. 00:31:29 Speaker 3: You obviously have. 00:31:32 Speaker 2: This show that has really created you to be this heart throb on television so much so you are building your modeling career and on that. Do you feel like you made it or you feel like you're still at ground zero trying to like get there? 00:31:53 Speaker 5: I definitely I don't. I wouldn't say ground zero. I think that we're definitely baby steps. I feel like I'm high the right meetings and the right conversations with the right people. But I'm more so being picky about how I go into the industry, just because it is a female it is a female dominated industry. Just going to modeling alone, and I think that the opportunities that do come, I want this for longevity. I don't want it to be some just kind of like, oh I modeled for here and then I gave up and onto the next It's something that I've been wanting to do for a really long time. So I think my biggest thing is just like being picky, being more mindful about who I'm being with who can really help me get to the next level. 00:32:34 Speaker 7: Like, yeah, I got this like great cover. 00:32:37 Speaker 5: Shoot, But I think that my biggest thing is not only the cover shoot. 00:32:40 Speaker 7: It's more so building a portfolio now and. 00:32:44 Speaker 5: Being reputable and just being able to eventually be in a place where I can travel and go to Italy or like if I ever wanted to walk in like a fashion week or you know, something of the sorts, I could make that happen and like make that come to life. 00:32:58 Speaker 7: So I wouldn't say ground zero. 00:32:59 Speaker 5: I think it's also to one of those things like when the show is just now airing, you kind of have to kind of wait until a little bit after when until the opportunities start to come up. 00:33:10 Speaker 7: So it's all kind of a waiting game, just being patient. It's what I'm learning. 00:33:14 Speaker 2: But yeah, we got to get into this dating app scandal. 00:33:21 Speaker 3: Oh god, girl, did you ever figure out who bag you from? 00:33:24 Speaker 9: It? 00:33:25 Speaker 3: Like what happened. 00:33:27 Speaker 7: I was trying to do? It was like a brand deal with Tenderer. 00:33:31 Speaker 5: It was like tender and Archer because you know they they're owned by the same and so it's hinge and so if you're banned from the one, your band from all and so I couldn't. Yeah, I couldn't. I mean I'm on Riyah. So it's not like I just use my mind. 00:33:46 Speaker 6: It's paying for it a little bit. 00:33:48 Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean he used to be. 00:33:50 Speaker 6: A little bit more niche, but not more mainstream. 00:33:54 Speaker 5: Like sometimes I'll just be swiping and I'm like, oh, they let you on here. 00:33:58 Speaker 3: Like I do. 00:34:01 Speaker 2: When I was like single, I tried to get all that motherfucker and I could not get through. 00:34:08 Speaker 6: You need a recommendation. You need a recommendation, girl, I have three. 00:34:13 Speaker 7: Oh yeah, that's crazy. 00:34:15 Speaker 3: Family was one. 00:34:17 Speaker 2: Oh wow period period the girl they will let me on and I say about fuck that. 00:34:24 Speaker 3: So I did the most freeping in the world. I just live in DMS. 00:34:27 Speaker 7: It was great for me. Yeah, period. 00:34:30 Speaker 5: I think my biggest thing is too It honestly has not done anything for me. I don't know why I'm still paying for it. Because when I go out in New York or I go out and any other city, like I usually will meet people, and I'm like, oh, in my head, I'm like I just saw you on Rayah and like, why are you playing catfish out here? 00:34:45 Speaker 6: I got on it at like eighteen, and like, I. 00:34:49 Speaker 7: Haven't that's crazy. 00:34:51 Speaker 4: I was on it like right when I did. I was on it in the prime. But I was also like living in a different country at one point, and so I wasn't really like paying much attention to it. And then I realized that I was paying like one hundred something a month for it. 00:35:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's crazy, And I think, is this, you too are attracted people, so like you don't need to be paying a month. 00:35:12 Speaker 5: But it's hard to date once you're in like the TV world, because you don't know what people's intentions. 00:35:18 Speaker 3: Are and do you know you have to answer dams. 00:35:22 Speaker 6: Answer dms, answer dms. 00:35:25 Speaker 2: Like with somebody's last redim do they have to have a blue check? 00:35:29 Speaker 7: No? 00:35:29 Speaker 8: No? 00:35:30 Speaker 7: But my thing for no check? 00:35:33 Speaker 3: You don't want no check? No. 00:35:34 Speaker 6: I want them to have like fifty followers. 00:35:37 Speaker 5: Like somebody low key also too, I don't want to end up dating somebody that's like oh yeah, like I watched Bravo, like as much fun as that is, Like I don't want you watching the show that I'm on and then like sitting there thinking about, like, oh, do you act the same in person. 00:35:52 Speaker 7: That you do on TV? 00:35:53 Speaker 5: Like I don't want you to date this person that you only see me three months of the year. You know what I'm saying. It's like they're so much more to me. There's so much more depth to me. And I feel like as much as social media thing is fun, I feel it's all about the chase at the end of the day, for being honest, like I'm going on there to be a hollow and post shirtless pictures. I'm not going on there to like meet my husband. So let's be honest. 00:36:16 Speaker 6: We're not going to find those and tour in our mid thirties. 00:36:19 Speaker 3: No, my, but you two are young and your twenties have fun. 00:36:24 Speaker 5: Also, I think my biggest thing is too, like I just did the relationship thing last year, Like I wanted to make sure that I was single like this year, and plus my agent was like, girl, you need to be single. 00:36:36 Speaker 7: Being single is. 00:36:37 Speaker 5: Better for the brand anyway, Like better the I was missing out on a lot of opportunities last year being in a relationship, and I feel like it kind of set me back a little bit. So now this year I'm more so like trying to make up for it in the best way. But yeah, I think that's my mindset going. 00:36:55 Speaker 3: As job big older brother. 00:36:56 Speaker 2: My advice is, listen, you guys are hot, famous and young. 00:37:02 Speaker 3: Enjoy it, you know what I mean? 00:37:05 Speaker 2: Yes, have like travel and like meet people like because listen, you guys are experiencing something that not everybody gets a chance to experience. 00:37:16 Speaker 3: And when you when you're older and settled. 00:37:19 Speaker 8: Right, you want to look back and be like, baby, that was a hot decade of like TV show and like going to these parties and like making out the middle of Times Square, you know what I mean? 00:37:32 Speaker 7: Like, Oh lord, that was Michaels. 00:37:37 Speaker 2: You spent five days in New York City, Honey, so behaved for five consecutive days. 00:37:44 Speaker 6: He said, behaved, not well behaved. 00:37:52 Speaker 7: You don't know how to behave at own period. 00:37:55 Speaker 3: I have fun so two bore things to get into. We got to let you guys go. I want to get to Joe and Maddie. 00:38:02 Speaker 7: Is that I'll come? 00:38:05 Speaker 3: So do we think they're going to go the distance? 00:38:08 Speaker 7: Yes? Funny enough, they're actually in La right now. 00:38:12 Speaker 5: But you know, I think that Joe this time around, the Joe that you're seeing is very interesting because I feel like he's going through a very big transitional period in his life, trying to figure out what it is he wants to do. But at the same time, he doesn't like the perception that he's like writing Mattie's coat tail, because that's not. 00:38:32 Speaker 7: Necessarily the case. 00:38:33 Speaker 5: I think right now, the Joe that he is and that you'll see at the reunion has done, honestly so much growth, and it'll be really nice to see. And I think that Maddie's been like his biggest supporter and like champion for him to go and do his own thing and really figure out what his brand is and. 00:38:50 Speaker 7: What he wants to do with his life. 00:38:52 Speaker 6: They compliment each other. 00:38:54 Speaker 4: They compliment each other, and they're almost like the opposite to tract, but they also have to smilar characteristics. 00:39:01 Speaker 7: Like he's very golden retriever man, he's like black pot. 00:39:04 Speaker 4: But but they compliment each other and they're like mom and dad. 00:39:11 Speaker 6: I love them together. 00:39:13 Speaker 2: And then I want to get too grace Lily because obviously you know she is sober and she's a part of her life and even the last episode revealing that she struggled with kadamine, which. 00:39:23 Speaker 3: Obviously is like super sad. 00:39:26 Speaker 2: Talk to me about like grade type of you guys spoken to her since the reuinion, I. 00:39:31 Speaker 5: Think I think the thing is I was more so shocked to watch how she went about it because knowing Grace and working at Republic even before I was on the show, I like, when you when your friend is going through something you know, and when your friend is struggling you know, and to just see that first hand, especially in our work environment, but not really be able to say anything because you didn't want to be that person that's like push you. But girl, I can tell you're struggling, like at work because you know, we got be sober on the job. But it's like, how can you say something without saying something in them getting offended? So I think even navigating that and then her taking herself out of the nice life space was I feel like, in my opinion, the first step for her because she realized like that environment is not. 00:40:17 Speaker 7: Good for her. 00:40:18 Speaker 5: And then I think that being able to come on this year and just be even more transparent about it and share her story and going and having those meetings in those tough conversations about her substance abuse. 00:40:29 Speaker 7: I think was just huge of her because I know that something, yeah. 00:40:33 Speaker 5: Something like that is not easy, and you know, she talks about it a lot more at the reunion, which I'm hoping that you guys will see. 00:40:39 Speaker 7: But yeah, we're really proud of Grace. 00:40:41 Speaker 4: I am proud of her, and you know, every time I hang out with her, we always just have like a debrief session, and she's she's doing really well. You know, she's been focusing on herself and there's more good things to come with God and Grace, and I hope I can be there for her and Michaels can be there for her and you can integrate herself back into the company. 00:41:03 Speaker 3: Yeah that's good. All right. So last we're going to get into is puta Kana. 00:41:08 Speaker 2: Oh okay, the boat party? 00:41:13 Speaker 7: All right? 00:41:14 Speaker 2: So do we think Joe missed the mark for Maddie's birthday? 00:41:19 Speaker 3: Oh? 00:41:19 Speaker 5: You're talking about her birthday party? The uh, the the pirate theme? Yeah, I mean yeah, I. 00:41:29 Speaker 7: Think I mean you grew up there, you know, so like oh into Minican Republic. Wait are you talking about Maddie's birthday or Dominican Republic? Sorry? 00:41:37 Speaker 6: Maddie's birthday was in Charleston, and I'm both. 00:41:41 Speaker 2: Let's first get to Maddie's birthday and then let's get into Dominican Republic. 00:41:46 Speaker 6: Okay, perfect, Okay, Yeah he kind of missed it. 00:41:49 Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean that day was so funny. She was like, I don't want to be here. I hate all of these people. 00:41:53 Speaker 7: What is going on? 00:41:54 Speaker 4: Well, it was right after Joe's birthday, and like, you know, Maddie likes to be like alone. 00:42:01 Speaker 5: Yeah, she's a vampire. She likes to like be in bad till four pm. So she's getting up early, and it's during the day. It's a really big deal and she has stuff to do. So I think her biggest thing is she was like, I just wanted to go kayaking, like and be alone. 00:42:14 Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, But overall, I think she was happy with the thought that was put into it. 00:42:22 Speaker 7: Yeah. 00:42:22 Speaker 4: Yeah, she's happy with the thought into it. But then again, I don't think that that was her ideal birthday. 00:42:30 Speaker 7: Pardon clearly. Yeah, like all trash on a boat and she's the only sober one. 00:42:38 Speaker 5: Like okay, like, is there a small boat on the side where I can like just jump off and like go home and nobody will notice. 00:42:47 Speaker 3: Let's talk about put the connas on. 00:42:48 Speaker 2: How did they feel, you know, going back to you know the r and stuff that it feels good. 00:42:55 Speaker 5: I think going back when we first touched on it didn't really necessarily feel a real but I think as the trip went on and we were I think we were there for four days. In the second day we were there, we got to visit this church and my grandma went to growing up, and you'll see it in tonight's episode, but it was just like very nice and peaceful, and it was very freeing in a way. Just to be able to go and take some of us, like some of the group, to kind of go and experience that and really see like I felt like I was walking in my grandma's footsteps in a way, and just to be able to tell her about it after was like very refreshing and nice, and I felt very connected to her because I think that growing up religion was something that was very forced in my family, and just going to like a private Catholic school and then you know, practicing and having a communion and a baptism and a confirmation as I grew up, and just being being at church like two three times a week was already a. 00:44:01 Speaker 6: Lot the community. 00:44:03 Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think that, you know, coming out and feeling disconnected to that part of my life because of where I was with my family, Yeah, and just being able to get back to that in a way helped me feel like I was making up for lost time. 00:44:18 Speaker 3: And what are things? How are things? Excuse me today? With your mom? 00:44:22 Speaker 5: Based on things are way better with my mom. 00:44:26 Speaker 7: She's at home. 00:44:27 Speaker 5: I was gonna go home for Mother's Day, but she was like, I'm going to Puerto Rico with my friends. And I was like, okay, Like when you get back then like okay, girl, go go do your big one, like I'll see it up for you. 00:44:39 Speaker 3: Have fun. 00:44:41 Speaker 7: Yeah, we talked. 00:44:41 Speaker 5: We definitely talk a lot more like almost every day my step out of my mom. They both own like a lot of businesses, so they're always working and like. 00:44:50 Speaker 6: The pizza shop. 00:44:51 Speaker 5: Yeah, like she just opened this pizza shop like a while ago, and she I went down for like three days around Chris Us and I went to go help her at the pizza shop. But I had no idea what I was doing, and I fell back because I was kind of in the lettuce I was I was making pizzas and the uber each was popping off. I was pushing them pizzas out quick, and then messed up one of the pizzas and I almost tweeting on me. 00:45:14 Speaker 7: And I was like, oh my god. 00:45:16 Speaker 5: But hopefully next year we'll be able to go and shoot there and like it'll be funny. 00:45:21 Speaker 6: To tiktoks in the pizza shop. He said, my. 00:45:25 Speaker 5: Mom's mommy, because I was making tiktoks in the pizza shop and she was like, you're not even helping. 00:45:28 Speaker 7: You can go back to the house. 00:45:30 Speaker 2: I was like, okay, well, look, do you guys have your first full reunion. Yes, So, without getting any spoilers, first of all, how was it? And then number two, what can we expect? 00:45:48 Speaker 6: A roller coaster? 00:45:51 Speaker 5: I would say, you, yeah, it was a roller coaster of emotions for sure. I feel like, I don't know. 00:45:59 Speaker 4: There's a lot of sins, but there's also a lot of resolution there too. I think everybody got what they needed to say out, especially me. 00:46:08 Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, Maddie. 00:46:13 Speaker 7: Maddie was talking. 00:46:14 Speaker 4: Yeah, Maddie. Maddy had a little comments. She'd be like and make a little comment and we would all just. 00:46:21 Speaker 7: Be like, yeah. I think was so beautiful did an amazing job. 00:46:28 Speaker 5: I kid you know, that's like probably one of the best Readian sets like I've ever seen, and I've watched probably for really insane. 00:46:36 Speaker 6: I wanted to take some of the stuff back with me. 00:46:41 Speaker 5: Yeah, well, yeah, it'll be really good. I'm excited to see before it airs. 00:46:46 Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm nervous. 00:46:47 Speaker 7: I'm so ready for the Readian trailer. I'm excited. I'm nervous and the best part of me, yeah, the trailer. 00:46:55 Speaker 5: And sometimes do you feel like when you watch some like the reading was the best part of the whole season. 00:47:00 Speaker 2: I know people who only watch the reunion. I feel like they feel like it tells me everything about this show. But reunions to me is like the icing on the cake to the season is so good. 00:47:12 Speaker 7: And when there's a three part reunion, I feel like they can definitely watch a three part reunion before watching the whole entire season because then I don't feel like I have to really divulge into twenty episodes before watching these three. 00:47:24 Speaker 4: Also, because I don't watch I haven't watched Summerhouse, but I'll do that with Summerhouse. I'm watching that reunion. 00:47:31 Speaker 3: We're gonna watch together. 00:47:32 Speaker 9: Yeah, yes, yes, you know, I'm gonna be on the Twitter like, oh, don't mean tweets though, We're just going to like, oh no, I don't sweet Yeah, yeah, okay. 00:47:45 Speaker 6: Don't we have a burner Twitter that we share and. 00:47:48 Speaker 7: We look at stuff on there. 00:47:50 Speaker 5: Yeah, because you I don't know if it's like Instagram now you can see when people see you're storring in the whole nine. 00:47:55 Speaker 6: He's like a random white lady. 00:47:57 Speaker 7: Yeah, you would never know. 00:48:02 Speaker 2: Well, look, I love the two of you guys so much and so happy you guys came on Reality with the King and look, loving hospitality is a great sial range drops, So make sure guys check it out every Wednesday on Bravo and the next day on pet Cock.
