<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, Welcome to Games Mornings with Me Jeff Greb,
<v Speaker 1>your host from giant bomb dot com.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you for tuning in.
<v Speaker 1>In this episode, we're going to be talking about a
<v Speaker 1>surprise look into one of the most secretive studios in
<v Speaker 1>the world and the.
<v Speaker 2>Return of Queen's Blood.
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna be a good one because we have Jason
<v Speaker 1>Finelli on the show. Jason, Happy birthday.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, thank you very much. Happy to be here on
<v Speaker 3>the thirty ninth birthday. The big one looms, Jeff, I
<v Speaker 3>am not yet questioning more immortality, but my psiatic reminds
<v Speaker 3>me every once in a while that I am very
<v Speaker 3>much human.
<v Speaker 2>I'll start doing that any moment here.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, it feels good. Good morning, so far, got
<v Speaker 3>to the gym, took off from the day jobs. Not
<v Speaker 3>to worry about that. The wife and kids had me
<v Speaker 3>up there. My wife made cinnamon buns for breakfast. Fantastic. Uh,
<v Speaker 3>they went to school. My wife normally would be here,
<v Speaker 3>but about nine point thirty this morning, the power went
<v Speaker 3>out and I thought, shit, I'm going to be doing
<v Speaker 3>this show on my phone from the kitchen table the tripod,
<v Speaker 3>and then ten fifteen it came back. So she went
<v Speaker 3>to go work at her mom so I can yell
<v Speaker 3>and scream as much as I want. Not that we're
<v Speaker 3>doing anything that really has me angry today, I don't think.
<v Speaker 1>But I specifically for your birthday, left off the Bruno
<v Speaker 1>Mars concert in Roadblocks.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, welcome. Yeah, I appreciate that your donation to
<v Speaker 3>my lack of stress level on my birthday.
<v Speaker 2>It's very to keep those cartisol levels down.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, but I genuinely wanted to be on this show
<v Speaker 3>today when I realized it was a Friday, because it
<v Speaker 3>genuinely makes me happy to be here hanging out with you.
<v Speaker 3>Love on that show. You should do what you love
<v Speaker 3>on your birthday. So here I am.
<v Speaker 1>Hell Yeah, yeah, I love to hear that we that
<v Speaker 1>means the world us And now yeah, you mean the
<v Speaker 1>world us.
<v Speaker 2>Thanks so much, Jason. We appreciate that. Oh yeah for
<v Speaker 2>real cool.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, let's you know what, Let's get into their show
<v Speaker 1>because there is a lot to talk about. Want to
<v Speaker 1>get your opinions on some of the Xbox Developer direct stuff.
<v Speaker 1>That'll be our top story. We'll get to all that
<v Speaker 1>after we explain ourselves. We're Giant Bomb, we're independent Games Media,
<v Speaker 1>We're out here on our own, and we need your
<v Speaker 1>support to continue to make it happen. You are you
<v Speaker 1>all are the backbone of this whole thing. That's the
<v Speaker 1>only way that independent games media survives makes any sense.
<v Speaker 1>We don't want to rely on corporations. We want to
<v Speaker 1>rely on you and you guys all making that possible
<v Speaker 1>has also meant the world to us, So thank you
<v Speaker 1>all so much. You went to giant bomb dot com
<v Speaker 1>slash Joy became premium members. If you haven't done that yet,
<v Speaker 1>go ahead and make make make the shift.
<v Speaker 2>Convert.
<v Speaker 1>Let's convert you into paying users so that we can
<v Speaker 1>keep making all the cool stuff over here. And if
<v Speaker 1>you can't, of course, just tell a friend, share shows
<v Speaker 1>with people that you like.
<v Speaker 2>That that moment in Sonic.
<v Speaker 1>Blast, go share that with your friends, say, look at
<v Speaker 1>what these idiots do to themselves. It's it's worth sharing.
<v Speaker 1>As of course New Year's Baby, Oh yeah, it's just NonStop.
<v Speaker 1>I've been in that game what feels like months now.
<v Speaker 2>As far as this.
<v Speaker 1>Show goes, most weekdays, I Jeff Grub will help piece
<v Speaker 1>your gaming life back together. That includes breaking news and

<v Speaker 1>the show later on podcast feeds by searching for Games Mornings,
<v Speaker 1>or find the RSS feed on giant bomb dot com.
<v Speaker 1>You can also catch the show later with chapters and
<v Speaker 1>timestamps on YouTube.
<v Speaker 2>Hello YouTube.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have a lot to get into, so
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna start the morning mess here in a second,
<v Speaker 1>real quick. Just want to shout out Gene Park. He
<v Speaker 1>has stage four cancer has returned, and he has a GoFundMe.
<v Speaker 1>If you want to go find that on Blue Sky
<v Speaker 1>just search Gene Park. Help the guy out. He's a
<v Speaker 1>friend I did. I did a panel with him about
<v Speaker 1>long before Dan reichert ruined this conversation. I did a
<v Speaker 1>conversation with the Gene at Pax about mainline Mario games
<v Speaker 1>and we settle the debate, and then some a hole
<v Speaker 1>head to come in there and ruin everything. So let's
<v Speaker 1>do one for Gene to spite Dan Reikert. I think
<v Speaker 1>that's actually a good call to action.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and when you believe your donation, make sure that
<v Speaker 3>you put in the little box This is to spite
<v Speaker 3>Dan Reikert about Yes, Yosh's Island right, Yo, She's.
<v Speaker 1>Is on I think is one of his big ones. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but he like he'll stay in the same things like
<v Speaker 1>Super Mario three D World is not a mainline Mario games,
<v Speaker 1>so go ahead and put that in the thing as well,
<v Speaker 1>that it is all right, let's do it and yeah,
<v Speaker 1>shouts out to Gene.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I know. Shake your head is all you can do.
<v Speaker 2>That's all you have. Xbox Developer Direct twenty twenty six.
<v Speaker 1>All the big announcements from Darren Bonthus at game Spot,
<v Speaker 1>we'll go through these games one at a time real quick.
<v Speaker 1>Here Forts. The Horizon six release date is May nineteenth.
<v Speaker 1>A PS five version is coming later this year, so
<v Speaker 1>it'll be out in the same calendar year.
<v Speaker 2>It's yet we knew it was set in Japan.
<v Speaker 1>You're gonna go through mountain passes and Neonlitz cities and
<v Speaker 1>all kinds of other areas that look very very pretty, because.
<v Speaker 2>Forts Horizon games look very very pretty.
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna have car as like social hubs, which is
<v Speaker 1>a part of car culture in Japan, and then you get,
<v Speaker 1>you know, a player home that you can decorate and
<v Speaker 1>stuff like that, and that seems to be like one
<v Speaker 1>of the ways that they're having players express themselves. I
<v Speaker 1>think a couple Forts of Horizons ago it was emotes
<v Speaker 1>and doing dances on waterfalls and stuff like that. This
<v Speaker 1>time around six that they're like, we'll give you a
<v Speaker 1>home and you can fill that up with trophies and
<v Speaker 1>probably have a garage where you can view all your cars,
<v Speaker 1>of which there will be around five hundred.
<v Speaker 2>And fifty at launch.
<v Speaker 1>Games looks great. I'm a Forts Horizon fan. I will
<v Speaker 1>be playing this one the second it's available.
<v Speaker 3>I tend to shake off of racing games pretty quickly,
<v Speaker 3>not that I don't like them, I just have, you know,
<v Speaker 3>other I get por these other games to play, but
<v Speaker 3>this one, this one might hook me. Having been to
<v Speaker 3>Japan at least once and missing it every day, since
<v Speaker 3>this will be a great way to get back to
<v Speaker 3>what I imagine will be a very accurate depiction of
<v Speaker 3>the different parts of Japan. I also like the fours
<v Speaker 3>of crossing where you can make your own house to
<v Speaker 3>customize your dodge and everything. That's pretty neat. Yeah, that
<v Speaker 3>it looks gorgeous. Man that I don't know what they
<v Speaker 3>are doing over there at playground, but my goodness they
<v Speaker 3>have figured it out. There are some gorgeous looking views
<v Speaker 3>as they were driving through Japan that looks neat.
<v Speaker 1>Beast of Reincarnation from game Freak also showed up it's
<v Speaker 1>coming to PC, PlayStation five, Xbox Series X and S
<v Speaker 1>Game Pass Ultimate Day one. It is coming out in
<v Speaker 1>Q three. They said Autumn is actually how they phrased that.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder if that maybe later they clarified as Q three.
<v Speaker 1>It is a hybrid of fast katana action and command
<v Speaker 1>based support skills. So you play, you have two characters, Emma,
<v Speaker 1>a human lady, and Coup, a dog that like or
<v Speaker 1>maybe a wolf that kind of goes along with you,
<v Speaker 1>and Emma is yes katana action. It's a character action
<v Speaker 1>game with maybe some soulis Born stuff. Definitely looks like
<v Speaker 1>it's got a lot of like classic character action elements
<v Speaker 1>as well, so not definitely not strictly like a Dark
<v Speaker 1>Souls or a Secro or anything like that. But then
<v Speaker 1>the dog has like Final Fantasy seven remake action commands
<v Speaker 1>where it's like a menu pops up and the battle
<v Speaker 1>slows down. It's like, oh, this is there's a lot
<v Speaker 1>going on here. They will have multiple difficulty modes, including
<v Speaker 1>a story difficult mode, which kind of tells you right there,
<v Speaker 1>this is not going to be a strict Souls Born
<v Speaker 1>or anything like that. They they said they want to
<v Speaker 1>make an emphasis on tempo moments to add to act
<v Speaker 1>quickly and moments to plan tactically, So they want to
<v Speaker 1>like have a sort of a give and take in
<v Speaker 1>EBB and flow to their combat.
<v Speaker 2>Which, yeah, I think that's a good design idea.
<v Speaker 1>We have more on like what's happening with game freaking
<v Speaker 1>this game here in a second, But what do you
<v Speaker 1>think of this presentation?
<v Speaker 3>I think it's a big year for having to deal
<v Speaker 3>with two characters at once, first with Pragmata and now
<v Speaker 3>with a Beast of Reincarnation here, and I kind of
<v Speaker 3>like that developers are sort of working with multitasking in
<v Speaker 3>this very unique way.
<v Speaker 1>It is the Henry hats worthification of the video game industry.
<v Speaker 1>We were Everyone finally is paying respect to that old
<v Speaker 1>bastard and.
<v Speaker 2>Saying you had it right, Henry, Henry Hatsworth.
<v Speaker 3>If you haven't planned your annual physical after dropping that,
<v Speaker 3>and you probably should do that. H No. I thought
<v Speaker 3>this was really really neat. It definitely seems like also
<v Speaker 3>a cry for help from game freak, like, look, look
<v Speaker 3>what we can do when we're not making that other franchise.
<v Speaker 3>We have a good track record between Hormononight and Pocket
<v Speaker 3>Card Jockey and everything else that they do. Let us
<v Speaker 3>do other things. Please, look what we'll look at this look.
<v Speaker 3>So if it comes out and it does well, maybe
<v Speaker 3>Nintendo will let them iterate on Pokemon a little more.
<v Speaker 3>I guess Pokemon Company would have to let them do
<v Speaker 3>that now.
<v Speaker 1>I mean voice acting, I mean they wow had voice
<v Speaker 1>characters in there.
<v Speaker 3>We'll start and it mazes me too. Yeah, not to
<v Speaker 3>get too much off the subject, but you have an
<v Speaker 3>anime full of voice actors, just borrow some of them
<v Speaker 3>and put them in the game. I don't to get
<v Speaker 3>into that, but yeah, looked very very interesting. I like, again,
<v Speaker 3>the multitasking thing is very cool. And I guess even
<v Speaker 3>when they're making a brand new game, they can't resist
<v Speaker 3>giving you a starter prokemon. So yeah. Cool.
<v Speaker 1>Next up was Kiln, a surprise Double Fine game that
<v Speaker 1>you know they had a keeper or watcher. It always
<v Speaker 1>escapes my brain the name of that keeper, Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>Keeper was the game that they just released late last year,
<v Speaker 1>a game that I.
<v Speaker 2>Do intend to go back to.
<v Speaker 1>People said there's like a twist in the gameplay that
<v Speaker 1>really changes things up, and I didn't see that, so
<v Speaker 1>I need to go see.
<v Speaker 2>That before I fully do.
<v Speaker 3>I got to play that, but.
<v Speaker 1>They already have something else, and this is Kiln. It
<v Speaker 1>is a here's the genre as it's written, team based
<v Speaker 1>multiplayer party brawler featuring sentient pottery. So there's like two
<v Speaker 1>elements of this game. You can design pottery, which then
<v Speaker 1>becomes your character, and that means like you're using the
<v Speaker 1>little spin wheel thing and then you shape it and
<v Speaker 1>you can put handles on it and spouts, and then
<v Speaker 1>it grows eyes and a butt and becomes this character
<v Speaker 1>you play as. And then you go into these party
<v Speaker 1>brawler mini games where like you are doing things like
<v Speaker 1>let's go pick up water on the floor and throw
<v Speaker 1>it into a raging fire to put it out or
<v Speaker 1>something like that, and we can work together or we
<v Speaker 1>can try to take each other out and I could
<v Speaker 1>smash your pottery character and it looks cute and fun,
<v Speaker 1>but it's one of those ones where it's like I
<v Speaker 1>will obviously have to play this to fully understand, like
<v Speaker 1>what they're going for with this gameplay.
<v Speaker 3>I think the one thing that you should take from this,
<v Speaker 3>and I mentioned this before we started the show, is
<v Speaker 3>that among all the corporate fuckery and all the controversy
<v Speaker 3>well deserved that Microsoft is under, it is very partning,
<v Speaker 3>very much a make a Broken Clock situation, that Double
<v Speaker 3>Find is continued to be allowed to be so goddamn
<v Speaker 3>weird and just do whatever they want and make the
<v Speaker 3>games that they feel like making. Last year it was
<v Speaker 3>a sentient lighthouse. This year we're messing around with pottery, which,
<v Speaker 3>by the way, can you name your characters? Did they
<v Speaker 3>say that you can name your own characters? Nice things? So, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>because I call Patrick Swayze that is my character's name.
<v Speaker 2>That's frank take it.
<v Speaker 3>But this even existing is a good thing. It's a
<v Speaker 3>nice thing. I will try it simply based on that.
<v Speaker 3>I do want to play Keeper first, I have that
<v Speaker 3>one in the backlog, but just based on the fact
<v Speaker 3>that Double Find is allowed to be so weird, I
<v Speaker 3>want to support that and make sure I play it. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's like the question would be, like, what
<v Speaker 1>would be the point of making all those acquisitions of
<v Speaker 1>a studio like Double Fine and not letting them be
<v Speaker 1>Double Fine.
<v Speaker 2>But you know, we we've.
<v Speaker 1>Seen Microsoft bulk at some of their decisions and sort
<v Speaker 1>of step back, and I'm glad that that has not
<v Speaker 1>cursed Double Fine yet.
<v Speaker 2>The whole dream of the situation.
<v Speaker 1>Of you know, but doesn't really know how to keep
<v Speaker 1>or Zinny Max doesn't know how to keep but those
<v Speaker 1>are really going, and they kind of are talking in
<v Speaker 1>a way where it's like, oh, some of these studios
<v Speaker 1>aren't getting a return on investment.
<v Speaker 2>We might have to pull the plug a little bit,
<v Speaker 2>So well, go to Microsoft.
<v Speaker 1>They have infinite money, keep making these games and fill
<v Speaker 1>out game Pass, and everything will be sunshine and rainbows.
<v Speaker 1>And obviously that's not the reality we got. It was
<v Speaker 1>way worse than that, about as bad as any other
<v Speaker 1>corporate owner would have been in many ways, much much worse.
<v Speaker 1>And the idea that Double Find can kind of keep
<v Speaker 1>doing its thing off to the side is at least
<v Speaker 1>one little puff of rainbows next to all this nightmare
<v Speaker 1>that Microsoft.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I once heard an analogy that when it comes
<v Speaker 3>to game development, you can't just rely on home runs.
<v Speaker 3>You have to have a couple of singles of doubles
<v Speaker 3>to load the bases. So that that home run means more.
<v Speaker 3>Double find is your utility guy comes or your second
<v Speaker 3>lead all or second hitter puts out a couple of
<v Speaker 3>double singles or doubles and sets you up for success elsewhere.
<v Speaker 3>And I think you have to have that in a
<v Speaker 3>big conglomerate like this.
<v Speaker 2>Is that a phantom Blade zero hooding? Yeah it is, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it is. Oh, yes, you were showing your arm right
<v Speaker 2>when I was asking.
<v Speaker 3>I'm from TGA's when I played it, they gave us
<v Speaker 3>these things and it's just really goddamn comfortable.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, looks it looks comfy, cozy. Yeah, I have fantastic
<v Speaker 1>all right. Last they finished up the developer direct, which, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>just four games, but that's the way these developer directs go.
<v Speaker 2>Fable.
<v Speaker 1>Also from Playground Games, the developers of Forts or Horizon six.
<v Speaker 1>This game is coming out in Q three. It is
<v Speaker 1>that this is they say, oh, this is the one.
<v Speaker 1>They said autumn for excuse me, that's right. Beast of
<v Speaker 1>Reincarnation was summer. Oh yeah, autumn, Yes, this is autumn. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>it's set in al Beyond. It's now a fully open world.
<v Speaker 1>They are going for classic feeble humor and sensibility it's
<v Speaker 1>not a direct sequel, more spiritually aligned as how they
<v Speaker 1>were describing it with the original trilogy. The combat is
<v Speaker 1>style weaving system combining melee, ranged and magic seamlessly. And
<v Speaker 1>then there's no binary good and evil meter. Your reputation
<v Speaker 1>evolves based on actions, becoming known as like the chicken
<v Speaker 1>for example, And whenever you do something in the game,
<v Speaker 1>it looks like a bunch of superlatives are popping off
<v Speaker 1>your character, like plus tycoon and stuff like that, and
<v Speaker 1>it's like all of these different buckets that you might
<v Speaker 1>be filling up or emptying depending on what you're doing.
<v Speaker 1>And then the MPCs will look at these buckets and
<v Speaker 1>be like, Okay, how do I feel about this character?
<v Speaker 1>And like how notorious are they? How aware am I
<v Speaker 1>of them? And then to like make that system really sing,
<v Speaker 1>they have one thousand human designed NPCs with full routines, roles,
<v Speaker 1>and personalities, like they said, over one thousand, and it's like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>that to me is exciting, and also like we could
<v Speaker 1>be at the end of an era of something like
<v Speaker 1>that where we get one thousand plus human designed MPCs,
<v Speaker 1>because I feel like if you started this game today,
<v Speaker 1>they would all just go let's just do that in
<v Speaker 1>AI because it'll be a lot easier, and I bet
<v Speaker 1>these characters will be more memorable and have a lot
<v Speaker 1>more personality.
<v Speaker 2>And feel like and they'll feel like there was a.
<v Speaker 1>Huge win behind them. And so I'm like excited to
<v Speaker 1>see how that all works. I thought the game looked fantastic.
<v Speaker 1>I'm into it now. There was frame rate stuff, but
<v Speaker 1>I just is.
<v Speaker 2>Not going to face me. I think the game's gonna
<v Speaker 2>be thirty frames per second on console.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, yeah, yeah, I loved every bit of this.
<v Speaker 3>That that classic British humor that Fable had before is
<v Speaker 3>right up my alley. The one I'm gonna chant. I'm
<v Speaker 3>want to ask all of you that play this to
<v Speaker 3>do one thing, and do it loudly. If, as Jeff said,
<v Speaker 3>those one thousand plus NPCs are memorable to you, do
<v Speaker 3>feel human to you, shout it from the fucking rooftops
<v Speaker 3>so that they get the idea that this is the
<v Speaker 3>way we won our games made. Yes, it was first
<v Speaker 3>announced in twenty twenty. Yes it's going to come out
<v Speaker 3>six years later, but if the quality is there, we
<v Speaker 3>should champion these things, you know what I'm saying. I
<v Speaker 3>am very I'm excited for how the world will change
<v Speaker 3>with my choices. Seeing the big giant guy dead laying
<v Speaker 3>there for the rest of the game, that's neat. I
<v Speaker 3>love little stuff like that, but also too in an
<v Speaker 3>open world, is there like a timer, like if I
<v Speaker 3>just want to like they were saying, some of the
<v Speaker 3>people I might run into are working for me. Could
<v Speaker 3>I just be like that guy and just go to
<v Speaker 3>work every day or and and and mess around and
<v Speaker 3>then get to the mission when I feel like it.
<v Speaker 2>I allow that. It sounds like they're allowing something like that.
<v Speaker 3>Like you like you.
<v Speaker 1>Know, there's a maybe a main mission, and then there's
<v Speaker 1>things where it's like I'm going to become a tycoon.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna go like run a business empire or something
<v Speaker 1>like that, so they'll have options like that.
<v Speaker 3>I did like that it said you are rich tycoon Koon,
<v Speaker 3>they think you are rich twat.
<v Speaker 1>I love that, Yes, right, and I think that's I
<v Speaker 1>think that's like I saw some of like oh, and
<v Speaker 1>homage to classic fable humor is not encouraging. I think
<v Speaker 1>they're going to just be like that just means British
<v Speaker 1>humor and they will do modern kind of sensibility British
<v Speaker 1>humor if you.
<v Speaker 3>Want, and if you want a taste of that, go play.
<v Speaker 3>Thank goodness you're here, right, because that's what that is.
<v Speaker 3>It's British humor with a modern sensibility, and that game
<v Speaker 3>is laugh out loud funny. Yes, yeah, I very much
<v Speaker 3>excited for it. Fable as well, And honestly, the quality
<v Speaker 3>over quantity approach of the entire Developer direct is something
<v Speaker 3>that I appreciated. Nothing is wrong, say with the forty
<v Speaker 3>minute and teno directs that slaps you with thirty five
<v Speaker 3>games at once, or the.
<v Speaker 2>Same as well with the partner reviews. They all do that.
<v Speaker 3>But but taking the first this is like their equivalent
<v Speaker 3>of the PS five Showcase. But even that had like
<v Speaker 3>twenty or twenty five games in thirty minutes. This was
<v Speaker 3>just four hyper focused. These are the games most likely
<v Speaker 3>that we're focusing on this year as as our twenty
<v Speaker 3>twenty six lineup. There might be a couple of surprises
<v Speaker 3>here or there. We sprinkle in we have to talk
<v Speaker 3>about the annual Call of Duty at some point as well.
<v Speaker 3>But I thought the entire show got the job done.
<v Speaker 3>In and out, talked about their four games, gave us
<v Speaker 3>a lot to chew on and be excited about. And yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I think.
<v Speaker 1>It's you know, I think the one thing that kind
<v Speaker 1>of drags these things down is, let's go to a
<v Speaker 1>fully separate interview or we're just going to be talking
<v Speaker 1>to one person or maybe two or three people in
<v Speaker 1>a group setting for five to six minutes straight. They
<v Speaker 1>had interviews and they spliced them in to explain things
<v Speaker 1>as needed. Sometimes that was a little bit longer, but
<v Speaker 1>it always felt like it was ser like they had
<v Speaker 1>a point with everything they were doing, and everything served
<v Speaker 1>that point, and it's okay, someone over there knows how
<v Speaker 1>to kind of speak to people in this format. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>and it worked for me totally. I still love the
<v Speaker 1>direct style of just NonStop game trailers that can always
<v Speaker 1>be very exciting, but I'm at a point where this
<v Speaker 1>is also a great alternative.
<v Speaker 3>Look, we can't all be Massi Hero Sakarai and need
<v Speaker 3>two hours to talk about Curby Air Riders, all right,
<v Speaker 3>and that's our process.
<v Speaker 1>What's wrong with us our that's our failing as people,
<v Speaker 1>all right. Game Freak says it's Beast of Reincarnation team
<v Speaker 1>is relatively small, quote unquote, but it's outsourcing to a
<v Speaker 1>wide number of partner studios. This comes from Chris Sculling
<v Speaker 1>at VGC. Game Freak has shed more light on the
<v Speaker 1>development structure of its upcoming action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation,
<v Speaker 1>shown in more detail during the Xbox Developer Direct presentation
<v Speaker 1>on Thursday. Beast of Reincarnation tells the story of Emma,
<v Speaker 1>an exiled protagonist accompanied by her wolf companion Coup, exploring
<v Speaker 1>a world where parasitic plants called the Blight have overgrown
<v Speaker 1>around the world. Most of the human population has been
<v Speaker 1>lost due to the Blight, but Emma has the ability
<v Speaker 1>to hunt Malifax and seal their blight within her own body.
<v Speaker 1>So Emma and Coup have to prepare to defeat the
<v Speaker 1>titular Beast of Reincarnation by defeating powerful enemies known as
<v Speaker 1>Nushi and absorbing their blight to yeah their blite to
<v Speaker 1>build power. In an interview with IGN, game director Kota Froshima,
<v Speaker 1>who previously worked as a battle planner and sound manager
<v Speaker 1>in certain Pokemon games, was asked whether game Freak had
<v Speaker 1>to significantly increase its staff to staff numbers to handle
<v Speaker 1>a game of the scale of Beast of Reincarnation, Given
<v Speaker 1>then it mainly continues to work on Pokemon Forroshima replied
<v Speaker 1>that while the game does indeed have a large number
<v Speaker 1>of people working on it, they're not all from Game Freak,
<v Speaker 1>and development has been outsourced to numerous other studios. Basically
<v Speaker 1>just said, the team's quite large, but it's not all
<v Speaker 1>folks internally at the Game Freak.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>That's that's the way something like this gets done these days.
<v Speaker 1>Game Freak is you know, they're designing it, they're making
<v Speaker 1>the game. This is a Game Freak game. They're making
<v Speaker 1>the game, and then they hire people to come in
<v Speaker 1>externally to work on it. When I bet that's like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>how do we do voice acting? Maybe we should just
<v Speaker 1>hire someone that knows how to do that instead of
<v Speaker 1>us figuring that out.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, this is completely normal.
<v Speaker 1>But also it's like, oh, yeah, Game Freak really must
<v Speaker 1>care about this game, because I bet they're taking on
<v Speaker 1>a lot of these costs themselves, so that this is
<v Speaker 1>they're building this into their budget, and the idea is,
<v Speaker 1>let's spend real money to get real help to make
<v Speaker 1>this game look like it could stand next to anything
<v Speaker 1>else that's coming out in twenty twenty six, And based
<v Speaker 1>on that, you know that preview. I think they're succeeding.
<v Speaker 1>I am definitely like this is one of the games
<v Speaker 1>I'm most interested in.
<v Speaker 2>I took it in Fantasy Credit.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. Wow, that's brave. Yeah the list.
<v Speaker 2>When they make non Pokemon games, they usually hit real hard.
<v Speaker 3>That is true. That is true. H So my thing
<v Speaker 3>is I was seeing a lot of comparisons and I
<v Speaker 3>have not this is on my backlog. I'm very sorry,
<v Speaker 3>Chat you're gonna yell at me. Uh to Near Automata
<v Speaker 3>and the way that people love ear Near Automata, that
<v Speaker 3>is a good comparison to have. Again, I don't have
<v Speaker 3>that comparison personally, but the fact that people who like
<v Speaker 3>Near are saying, hey, this reminds me of Near, I'm
<v Speaker 3>going to give this a shot. That sort of perks
<v Speaker 3>my interest a little bit. Again. I also, uh talked
<v Speaker 3>earlier about the multi faceted aspect where you have to
<v Speaker 3>do multiple things of once, and I'm genuinely curious how
<v Speaker 3>that's really going to blend in. I like the idea
<v Speaker 3>of that. I'm going back to Final Fantasy remake because
<v Speaker 3>that's what it was compared to Emma going in and
<v Speaker 3>you know, stunning the enemy, which then gives you the
<v Speaker 3>opportunity to go to Coup and unleash the big attack
<v Speaker 3>or let if ku is the way you heal get
<v Speaker 3>have Coup heal you somehow, or that sort of thing
<v Speaker 3>that's sort of weaving of systems. I think is going
<v Speaker 3>to be pretty cool. It definitely looked more interesting than
<v Speaker 3>I expected it to, I think just because we hadn't
<v Speaker 3>heard really much about it until this we saw like
<v Speaker 3>a screenshot or two. Was there a trailer? Maybe I'm
<v Speaker 3>forgetting about And the fact that I'm forgetting about it
<v Speaker 3>kind of makes my point for me. But I think
<v Speaker 3>this did a lot of good and putting it in
<v Speaker 3>this showcase with Forza end Fable to give people a
<v Speaker 3>good look at it was a smart idea.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah yeah, I mean they this is the slot that
<v Speaker 1>Clear Obscure Expedition thirty three had last year, right, so
<v Speaker 1>you know, and there this is a game past day
<v Speaker 1>one game, and you know that does not mean that
<v Speaker 1>this has the same fate as that, but it does
<v Speaker 1>mean that I think Microsoft sees potential in this game
<v Speaker 1>that the way the way they saw potential and Expedition
<v Speaker 1>thirty three, And you know, credit credit to them for
<v Speaker 1>spotting that early I think it was pretty I felt
<v Speaker 1>it was pretty clear Expedition thirty three early on that
<v Speaker 1>was going to be great. Like that when we played
<v Speaker 1>that preview a long long time ago, it's like, oh, yes,
<v Speaker 1>this is going to be awesome. I wonder if people
<v Speaker 1>playing this game are having a similar reaction of oh this, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this battle weaving system, this combat is fun, and then
<v Speaker 1>going over to coup and doing Final Fantasy seven remix
<v Speaker 1>style stuff is actually excellent. And then the art design
<v Speaker 1>does look really impressive. People are saying it might have
<v Speaker 1>the same excuse me art designer as Near Automata, which
<v Speaker 1>would make sense. Yeah, for your birthday, I'll take some
<v Speaker 1>heat off you people a yelling it you for not
<v Speaker 1>playing Near Autonomo.
<v Speaker 2>I did play Near Automata.
<v Speaker 3>I was bored there. Instead there thank you, thank you
<v Speaker 3>for thank you for being my shield. But also I
<v Speaker 3>will jump in front of that bullet. Can you imagine
<v Speaker 3>if this game gets the sort of critical acclaim and
<v Speaker 3>award attention that Claire Obscure did and it's not a
<v Speaker 3>Pokemon game from game Freak, Reddit would tear itself apart.
<v Speaker 3>I think I would be here for that. With popcorn
<v Speaker 3>and whiskey, bring it on.
<v Speaker 1>I think for the rest of the Pokemon franchises lifetime
<v Speaker 1>after this game, no matter what, there will be people
<v Speaker 1>going like, well, we know it's not game freak. Look
<v Speaker 1>what they did Beast of Reincarnation, unless it's a disaster.
<v Speaker 1>But even then people like what had voice acting. So
<v Speaker 1>the Pokemon company is going to be hearing about Beast
<v Speaker 1>of Reincarnation for forever. Now, all right, let's take a break,
<v Speaker 1>come back. There's a surprise Nintendo direct coming here pretty soon.
<v Speaker 1>We'll talk about that after these messages. If you want
<v Speaker 1>to skip out on these ads, you can always go
<v Speaker 1>to giant bomb dot com saus join become a premium member.
<v Speaker 1>There you could find ad free versions of the video
<v Speaker 1>and audio programs. We'll be right back after this.
<v Speaker 2>Game. Mess Mornings is back. Jeff Grub, Jason Finelli. I
<v Speaker 2>look it, it's fine.
<v Speaker 1>Like Nero Automata is, I just didn't I was not
<v Speaker 1>inspired by the combat, and so when I was kind
<v Speaker 1>of doing a lot of that, I just was I
<v Speaker 1>like all the story stuff, and those robots are so cool,
<v Speaker 1>and the chanting and the.
<v Speaker 2>Music, the music, woo, that's good stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I got to the end of the first playthrough and
<v Speaker 1>everyone's like, gotta keep playing it. I'm like, I didn't
<v Speaker 1>enjoy my time playing through the first time. Do I
<v Speaker 1>Will that change if I keep playing? And most people
<v Speaker 1>are like, well, no, probably not, you should. You should
<v Speaker 1>probably just put it down then, So that's what I did.
<v Speaker 1>So I didn't really play through the game. Everyone says you, every.
<v Speaker 3>One box that you have is about to be filled
<v Speaker 3>of images of Yoko Tara's mask just smiling at you.
<v Speaker 2>That's I love you. I love looking at that freak.
<v Speaker 3>Give me more.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, if I had a birthday party right now, Jason,
<v Speaker 1>I'd invite him first.
<v Speaker 2>He'd be number one on the guest list. Tara first, second,
<v Speaker 2>pushing it.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Direct Super Mario Galaxy the Movie announced for this Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>This is from David Cavallero at Game Reactor. When most
<v Speaker 1>fans were expecting the announcement of a new Nintendo Direct
<v Speaker 1>presentation in early February, coinciding with the publication of its
<v Speaker 1>quarterly results, the Kyoto based company surprised them once again
<v Speaker 1>with a curveball. There will be a Nintendo Direct, yes,
<v Speaker 1>but dedicated to Super Mario Galaxy the Movie, and as
<v Speaker 1>early as the day after tomorrow, this Sunday, the twenty
<v Speaker 1>fifth of January, at three pm Central European time two
<v Speaker 1>pm GMT will they will offer new details about the
<v Speaker 1>film from Nintendo, Illumination and Universal, and warn no details
<v Speaker 1>about games will be shared. This does not necessarily affect
<v Speaker 1>the rumored Nintendo direct dedicated to Switches Switch To, which
<v Speaker 1>could simply, imperfectly.
<v Speaker 2>Well arrive a few days later. Yeah, hey cool.
<v Speaker 1>They did a Mario direct where there was Mario movie
<v Speaker 1>stuff like late last year, right.
<v Speaker 2>That's something that happened.
<v Speaker 1>Or was Mario just part of the director There was
<v Speaker 1>like a fortieth anniversary thing and part of a direct.
<v Speaker 3>I think they debuted the first trailer separately. Maybe they
<v Speaker 3>definitely had a separate little thing for the for the
<v Speaker 3>trailer that showed in front of like Wicked and in
<v Speaker 3>front of the holiday movies. I believe they had like
<v Speaker 3>a little presentation to show that off. But other than that, No,
<v Speaker 3>So this is this is very my in that vein.
<v Speaker 3>It'll be nice to have some snow viewing since we'll
<v Speaker 3>be in the middle of this of this snowy bullshit
<v Speaker 3>that's coming our way this Sunday. That's nice. Yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 3>I expected there to be an update about this, and
<v Speaker 3>I am glad and I think I won't be alone
<v Speaker 3>in this that it's its own separate thing and not
<v Speaker 3>part of the Nintendo direct I agree. I think people
<v Speaker 3>will appreciate that because the Teto director is for games
<v Speaker 3>and now you can't complain to shut the fuck up.
<v Speaker 3>But no, I'm excited for this movie, and surprisingly it
<v Speaker 3>seems I'm the only one in my house excited for
<v Speaker 3>this movie. My kids have fallen off. They didn't really
<v Speaker 3>like the first one, so I might be that idiot.
<v Speaker 3>See in this by myself Alli Theater, So I am.
<v Speaker 3>I'm very much looking forward to it. I think Bree
<v Speaker 3>Lawson is the right choice for Rosalina, and if Chris
<v Speaker 3>pat if Chris Pratt that teas and Bastard about other characters. Listen,
<v Speaker 3>I don't mean to go tinfoil hat, but it's the
<v Speaker 3>Galaxy movie. It's all about space, and in twenty twenty
<v Speaker 3>three they brought back Super Mario ORPG, which is all
<v Speaker 3>about stars. If they did that for a v and
<v Speaker 3>then believing miracle in this movie, there will be a nuke.
<v Speaker 3>You'll hear about a nuclear explosion at a movie theater
<v Speaker 3>in southeastern Pennsylvania, and it will have just been my brain.
<v Speaker 3>So I think then.
<v Speaker 1>The hardest I've ever like audibly popped in a movie
<v Speaker 1>theater is when they said the words terras Kazi in
<v Speaker 1>the Solo movie, and I was like, I will be
<v Speaker 1>I would be very similar, if not bigger, if they showed.
<v Speaker 3>Gino in a god damn Mario movie to be that
<v Speaker 3>guy and that like the this guy, it's it. I
<v Speaker 3>will We didn't get him in Smash Brothers, but we'll
<v Speaker 3>get him in the movie. Come on, now, holy shit,
<v Speaker 3>that and he'll deserve it. And he'll deserve it. Give
<v Speaker 3>me the marshmallow too instead of the nimbus land do
<v Speaker 3>the fucking thing.
<v Speaker 4>I want to see Valentina and crawl. I want to
<v Speaker 4>see a little bit frog Fuchius in the game. Make
<v Speaker 4>it a Frog Fucius movie. Forget Todovsky.
<v Speaker 2>Come on, man, I play Super Mario RPG again. I
<v Speaker 2>love that game.
<v Speaker 3>Once a year many it's my favorite, my favorite games
<v Speaker 3>of all time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's great.
<v Speaker 1>Do you at this point would you go back to
<v Speaker 1>the remake or go back to Super Nintendo or maybe
<v Speaker 1>Oscillate or you prefer one.
<v Speaker 3>Another Oscillate the remake is too good to ignore. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I thought they killed it, but sometimes you want that
<v Speaker 3>super Nintendo flair, so you go back to the original.
<v Speaker 2>I think I'm the exact same way for sure. Uh yeah,
<v Speaker 2>Well do you think we get the characters teased here?
<v Speaker 2>Do they save that for the movie? The price?
<v Speaker 3>They're not just I mean that they're showing you a
<v Speaker 3>new trailer. They have to show you something new, right,
<v Speaker 3>I mean not just sure. I mean it might just
<v Speaker 3>be like a little tease, like a little like but
<v Speaker 3>but but like what what else are there? What other
<v Speaker 3>characters are there?
<v Speaker 2>Like what I mean? I feel like like Warrio could
<v Speaker 2>show up at some.
<v Speaker 3>Sh They haven't. They haven't done the wab Ros have
<v Speaker 3>Oh my god, wa Luigi two? Could you imagine shit?
<v Speaker 3>I mean Sonic shows up and it starts the Smash
<v Speaker 3>Brothers extended universe or cinematic universe.
<v Speaker 2>Do we know like the villain of this movie and
<v Speaker 2>that first teaser, because like Bowser is in, it's Bowser Junior, right.
<v Speaker 3>Go up in that trailer voiced by Safty says he's
<v Speaker 3>taking his dad back. But so far that is the
<v Speaker 3>only villain.
<v Speaker 1>To me that feels like there's then another villain. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>and that's like and then you forced Bowser Junior or
<v Speaker 1>Bowser to work with Mario because Bowser Junior got in
<v Speaker 1>some trouble he like unleashed some evil and that could
<v Speaker 1>be like Warrior or something like that.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I have to go to work together, right And
<v Speaker 3>even Bowser Junior looked a little warped in that trailer too,
<v Speaker 3>like something is is affecting him. So I wonder, I
<v Speaker 3>wonder what's what's going on there? If they if they
<v Speaker 3>go super obscure and give us someone like warped or
<v Speaker 3>if or would be fantastic. Bows are all along, I mean,
<v Speaker 3>the possibilities are there. Jeff yep, I'm ready.
<v Speaker 2>I'm ready this.
<v Speaker 1>I know it can't be as good as Sonic three,
<v Speaker 1>the movie Sonic three, but nothing can be That movie
<v Speaker 1>is perfect. US lawmakers ask FTC to thoroughly review fifty
<v Speaker 1>five billion dollar EA deal, warning of potential negative impact
<v Speaker 1>on workers. This is from Alex Forbes Calvin at Games
<v Speaker 1>Industry Dopiz. US Congressional Labor Caucus has written to the
<v Speaker 1>Federal Trade Commission to raise concerns about the potential impact
<v Speaker 1>of the proposed fifty five billion dollar acquisition of Electronic
<v Speaker 1>Arts led by excuse me, the Saudi Arabian Public Investment
<v Speaker 1>Fund PIFF. In the letter, as spotted by Aftermath, the
<v Speaker 1>group of US lawmakers ask the FDC chair Andrew Ferguson
<v Speaker 1>to review the deal thoroughly. The letter is signed by
<v Speaker 1>forty six House Democrats and has the backing of the
<v Speaker 1>Communication Workers of America Union, which is the parent of
<v Speaker 1>the most of most of the bargaining units currently operating
<v Speaker 1>in the US video game industry. The caucus's objections stem
<v Speaker 1>from some concerns regarding how this deal will affect workers,
<v Speaker 1>especially as the deal is financed with at least twenty
<v Speaker 1>billion dollars of debt, which creates strong incentives for the
<v Speaker 1>acquiring firms to pursue further cost cutting measures, including layoffs, offshoring, restructuring,
<v Speaker 1>and studio closures. That is completely accurate. That is a
<v Speaker 1>fair assessment of what's going to happen here. It's just
<v Speaker 1>to explain that real quick. As part of making this
<v Speaker 1>deal happen, and as a reminder, Jared Kushner was instrumental
<v Speaker 1>to making it happen. They have structured the deal so
<v Speaker 1>that when EA gets acquired twenty billion dollars of that
<v Speaker 1>payment price is saddled on ea AS debt and its
<v Speaker 1>low rated debt. It has a low credit rating, so
<v Speaker 1>that means it's going to have a higher interest rate.
<v Speaker 1>They will have to service that debt, and to do so,
<v Speaker 1>they're going to have to make more money than they're
<v Speaker 1>already making. There was already a sort of gesture toward, well,
<v Speaker 1>AI will make us more money. And so what's the
<v Speaker 1>next thing that happens after you do that thing? That
<v Speaker 1>isn't going to work? But what do you think you
<v Speaker 1>do next? And it's laid people off?
<v Speaker 3>And so.
<v Speaker 1>The forty six Democrats here are trying to like draw
<v Speaker 1>a line in the sand. The problem is Jared Kushner
<v Speaker 1>is related to people who might be appointing the kinds
<v Speaker 1>of people who make a decision on this. Yeah, it's
<v Speaker 1>you know, you got to you got to try to
<v Speaker 1>stand up. But this is not really anything here. This
<v Speaker 1>is just not going to him out too much.
<v Speaker 3>It's unfortunately I agree with you. It reminds me of
<v Speaker 3>not to not to be the guy that always makes
<v Speaker 3>Simpson's references. But that's scene where the guy the Detective's like,
<v Speaker 3>oh I can convince sideshow Bob to leave town. I
<v Speaker 3>can be very perspasive. And he pulls out the gun
<v Speaker 3>and it switches to the to the bar and he's like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>come on, leave town friend. Oh you're mean you know that.
<v Speaker 3>That's basically what this is. I I like that the
<v Speaker 3>fund is named after the sound. I wish the fund
<v Speaker 3>would make if go away. This sucks and it's gonna,
<v Speaker 3>as you said, it's going to go through. I hate
<v Speaker 3>to be Debbie down in here, but I don't see
<v Speaker 3>anything stopping this and having that debt saturd onto ea
<v Speaker 3>and all of those jobs being cut after already cutting
<v Speaker 3>over seventeen hundred since twenty twenty three. It's just like,
<v Speaker 3>I it's amazing to me that between twenty years ago
<v Speaker 3>and now I feel like I blinked and this entire
<v Speaker 3>this industry is just completely different in the worst way.
<v Speaker 3>And a race to the bottom. That is what it's been.
<v Speaker 3>It's been a race to the bottom. And AI is
<v Speaker 3>going to make us more money? Is it though?
<v Speaker 2>Is it?
<v Speaker 3>Because? If that? Because people, if you if you listen
<v Speaker 3>to like Jensen Wong and Satya Nadella and what I'm
<v Speaker 3>sorry if I'm saying those names wrong. I don't really
<v Speaker 3>care and all those other people already talking about, well,
<v Speaker 3>AI would would have a better reputation if more people
<v Speaker 3>had adopted it. Well, I think the point is people
<v Speaker 3>tried to adopt it and it was fucking dog shit,
<v Speaker 3>so they took that. So that's where the reputation came from.
<v Speaker 1>I and I just don't like how my optic are
<v Speaker 1>these corporations that they think they're the ones that are
<v Speaker 1>gonna get to control what the AI does. Like, isn't
<v Speaker 1>the idea that, like any josh like the dream in
<v Speaker 1>the Pie in the sky scenario, is any Joshmo with
<v Speaker 1>an idea can go talk to his computer box and say,
<v Speaker 1>make me a game where I'm the hero and it
<v Speaker 1>makes a full game and makes it like just as
<v Speaker 1>good as Skyrim, and with Skyrim with all the mods,
<v Speaker 1>and you're now you don't need electronic arts anymore, and
<v Speaker 1>electronic arts is gonna go, well, we're still gonna make
<v Speaker 1>games with AI and we're gonna be relevant in that scenario.
<v Speaker 2>How would you be relevant? Like, what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 2>How you're gonna use AI better than everyone else? Is
<v Speaker 2>that the plan?
<v Speaker 1>It sounds like it sounds like what you're saying is
<v Speaker 1>you're still gonna have to spend more money to make
<v Speaker 1>your games stand apart from everything else, and now there
<v Speaker 1>will be even more Like there's already endless competition. From
<v Speaker 1>ten thousand games dropping a year on Steam, that number
<v Speaker 1>is probably actually low compared to what the reality is.
<v Speaker 1>So there's already all this endless competition. And now in
<v Speaker 1>your scenario here where AI is this thing that can
<v Speaker 1>do things from beginning to end from whole cloth, you
<v Speaker 1>think that you're gonna do that better than everyone else
<v Speaker 1>and still matter.
<v Speaker 2>That's just crazy talk that won't happen.
<v Speaker 3>No, And not to mention, AI generated images all look
<v Speaker 3>the fucking same anyway.
<v Speaker 1>They've got that you're gonna spend more money to make
<v Speaker 1>your stuff stand apart.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that they all got that weird them and they
<v Speaker 3>all look like everyone's submerged and piss with that weird
<v Speaker 3>filter that they have. So it's everything's gonna be. Everybody's
<v Speaker 3>gonna be making the same stuff with these AI behephers.
<v Speaker 3>You know what I think it is, Jeff, I think
<v Speaker 3>it really is. And it goes back to all the
<v Speaker 3>people and the and the meatia and the media, Uh,
<v Speaker 3>headlines don't help this either who refer to these AI
<v Speaker 3>platforms using human uh descriptors like Rock apologizes for its
<v Speaker 3>you know, child sexual AsSalt material or or Google Gemini. No, No,
<v Speaker 3>they are programs. They are not people. But these companies
<v Speaker 3>think if they think they're people, that means they can
<v Speaker 3>control them. Like they've been controlling the workforce for so long,
<v Speaker 3>and it's going to blow up in their fucking face.
<v Speaker 3>And EA is just the EA who has been around
<v Speaker 3>longer than me. It's just not going to exist anymore.
<v Speaker 3>I mean that really doesn't the way that it did
<v Speaker 3>twenty years ago, if let's be honest, But it's just
<v Speaker 3>not going to exist anymore. Period. They're going to go
<v Speaker 3>piff and that'll be that.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, you know it was what IBM nineteen seventy nine.
<v Speaker 1>A machine can never be held accountable, so it can
<v Speaker 1>never make management decisions.
<v Speaker 2>It's like, yeah, we've known for a long time.
<v Speaker 1>But you guys just tell yourselves these little stories, these
<v Speaker 1>little eyes about what the stuff is going to be
<v Speaker 1>able to do, and to sort of complete that fantasy,
<v Speaker 1>you assign personification to these computers now and we often
<v Speaker 1>deal with the ramifications of your like pathetic little imagination,
<v Speaker 1>Get out of here, get the fuck.
<v Speaker 2>The best here.
<v Speaker 3>The best AI analogy I ever heard was it doesn't
<v Speaker 3>know what answers are. It just knows what answers look like,
<v Speaker 3>and it will deliver you in for any information you
<v Speaker 3>can think of in what looks like an answer, even
<v Speaker 3>if that information contained is completely fucking wrong.
<v Speaker 2>Yep.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, we like, we know what a good
<v Speaker 1>game feels like when when humans, sweat and emotion are
<v Speaker 1>put into it. And uh, these these games that will
<v Speaker 1>certainly never actually work the way they claim will work, uh.
<v Speaker 3>Will not feel that way all right.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, let's see here.
<v Speaker 1>Kingdom Hearts collection could eventually come to anintoo switch to,
<v Speaker 1>according to rumor. This is from my Nintendo News, which
<v Speaker 1>got it via Let's see here. Uh I think there
<v Speaker 1>was a name. Oh yes, attack of the backlog apparently
<v Speaker 1>as it is reporting this mostly it's just like, I
<v Speaker 1>think this sounds like it could happen. So the idea
<v Speaker 1>is Kingdom Hearts is on switch, right, I think all
<v Speaker 1>Kingdom harm Heart Hearts, most of them, but they're cloud versions.
<v Speaker 3>You have to cloud.
<v Speaker 1>Versions that you have to stream, right, and everyone hated that.
<v Speaker 1>I bet the game still did all right even in
<v Speaker 1>the face of that. But I bet screenex is like, well,
<v Speaker 1>if they were just natively on there, because there's no
<v Speaker 1>reason Kingdom Hearts one couldn't natively on the Switch one,
<v Speaker 1>that was crazy. But this is like, okay, an opportunity
<v Speaker 1>to sort of rectify that and then people people show up. Well,
<v Speaker 1>if you put it out as an all in one
<v Speaker 1>collection and put it all on the card or at
<v Speaker 1>least enable people to play it locally on their machine,
<v Speaker 1>I think that will probably cause people to show up
<v Speaker 1>for it. And they do have a Kingdom Hearts four
<v Speaker 1>is in the works. They're making that game. There's not
<v Speaker 1>a one to make sure that as many people as
<v Speaker 1>possible are caring about Kingdom Hearts, and this is a
<v Speaker 1>good way to start that that process.
<v Speaker 3>I think, yeah, I think Kingdom Hearts on the go
<v Speaker 3>would be pretty neat for people who own Switch to.
<v Speaker 3>I still love those games. I'm trying to get my
<v Speaker 3>daughter into them. She's watched a little bit, but then
<v Speaker 3>she she's not. She doesn't want to play it. She could.
<v Speaker 3>He gets scared of the Heartless, So I have to do
<v Speaker 3>it right.
<v Speaker 2>But I guess cheal the brain rot roadblocks of course.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, okay, start steal the brain rotten Fortnite.
<v Speaker 2>My bad, there we go.
<v Speaker 3>That's that's better. But no, no, I'm all for this.
<v Speaker 3>I think this would be great. I think. And again,
<v Speaker 3>if any any games that they put on Switch one
<v Speaker 3>as cloud versions, if they can make them switch to native,
<v Speaker 3>I think would be a benefit. And I think they're
<v Speaker 3>already doing that with Resident Evil, are they not. I
<v Speaker 3>think Resident Evil had cloud versions seven or eight maybe,
<v Speaker 3>I mean the.
<v Speaker 1>Very least, and someone in the champlaining this hit Man
<v Speaker 1>was a cloud version on Switch one and got to
<v Speaker 1>switch to release right away and runs natively on there.
<v Speaker 3>Now it wasn't sure one of the Resident Evils was
<v Speaker 3>cloud version, and now with the gold edition that comes
<v Speaker 3>out the same day as Requiem, all three of them
<v Speaker 3>will be native.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, yeah, I guess seven was probably on there.
<v Speaker 3>Huh. Maybe that's what it is. I'm pretty sure, but yeah.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, if they can go through and see what
<v Speaker 3>we're cloud editions and make them switch to native, I
<v Speaker 3>think that makes a lot of sense because people who
<v Speaker 3>maybe bought those cloud versions and didn't like them might
<v Speaker 3>pay you know, like a fiver for the Nintendo Switch
<v Speaker 3>to edition for the upgrade, just like they do with
<v Speaker 3>animal crossing and things like that. I think that makes
<v Speaker 3>a lot of sense, and then you get those people
<v Speaker 3>plus all the new adopters. But yeah, this is a
<v Speaker 3>room where I can get behind. Sure.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I hope that it turns out to be exactly
<v Speaker 1>the case. Queen's Blood will be enhanced and powered up
<v Speaker 1>in Final Fantasy seven Remake Part three. They know the
<v Speaker 1>Sikos that they're after. This is from Biovanni cal Antonio
<v Speaker 1>at Polygon. Giovanni who put that be in there? I
<v Speaker 1>just copied a paste it, I think, so, huh, Giovanni Colntonio,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, Biovanni, there we go.
<v Speaker 3>Biovanni.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, we don't know how much are we don't.
<v Speaker 1>We don't know much about the still mysterious final chapter
<v Speaker 1>of Squaringx's Final Fantasy seven Remake trilogy, but director Niokihamagucci
<v Speaker 1>shed more light on what players can expect from the
<v Speaker 1>development RPG. In an interview with Polygon. Hamagucci confirmed that
<v Speaker 1>the sequels still have an emphasis on minigames, reaffirming that
<v Speaker 1>Final Fantasy seven rebirths popular Queen's Blood will return in
<v Speaker 1>the trilogy's third installment, and teasing how the team is
<v Speaker 1>approaching the original Final Fantasy Seven's, a famous snowboarding minigame.
<v Speaker 1>Polygon spoke with Hamagucci at Nintendo's the New York City
<v Speaker 1>store to discuss the release of Final Fantasy seven remake
<v Speaker 1>Integrate on Switch to and Xbox Series X, speaking about
<v Speaker 1>how development is progressing on the remix trilogy is currently
<v Speaker 1>unnamed next game. Hamaguchi expanded on a previous confirmation that
<v Speaker 1>Queen's Blood, a fan favorite minigame in which players collect
<v Speaker 1>cards bill dex and for use in tactical grid battles,
<v Speaker 1>will return for the third part. Queen's Blood is a
<v Speaker 1>very popular and beloved mini game, and I believe a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people are still wanting something like that, Hamagucci
<v Speaker 1>told Polygon, I want to expand on Queen's Blood so
<v Speaker 1>that we are enhancing it and giving you a powered
<v Speaker 1>up version of it when you see that third installment.
<v Speaker 1>Queen's Blood is still going to be available in the
<v Speaker 1>third install We just want to.
<v Speaker 2>Expand on it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that sounds right like they don't need to make
<v Speaker 1>a new like card sort of alternative game inside their game.
<v Speaker 1>They need to just keep Queen's Blood go because people
<v Speaker 1>really loved Queen's Blood.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, card game sickos, you mikes, No, treat it like
<v Speaker 3>an expansion. Make more cards, more strategies, more meta, and
<v Speaker 3>do it that way. I mean, it makes that makes
<v Speaker 3>perfect sense. How many cards were in the first game,
<v Speaker 3>I want to say someone to fifty three hundred maybe my, my,
<v Speaker 3>my missing. I didn't spend as much time on it.
<v Speaker 3>I didn't spend a lot of time on it towards
<v Speaker 3>the end of the game, like the part on the
<v Speaker 3>ship where you have to play it. That's where I
<v Speaker 3>really sunk my teeth into it, which I guess was
<v Speaker 3>the whole point. But yeah, just just give it. Give
<v Speaker 3>me more cards with more monsters, and or even like
<v Speaker 3>add cards for characters, which I don't think Queen's Blood did.
<v Speaker 3>Take that from Triple Triad. Hell, just add Triple Tryad
<v Speaker 3>on top of Queen's Blood. Everybody loves Triple try Head
<v Speaker 3>and if you're saying you don't love it, you're lying.
<v Speaker 3>So just give me some of that. No, I think
<v Speaker 3>there was definitely ways to expand on what was there,
<v Speaker 3>even though it seems so goddamn huge to begin with.
<v Speaker 3>I think it makes a lot of sense. People love
<v Speaker 3>the side games like Queen's Blood and fort Condor to
<v Speaker 3>a lestric extent. And I think that's part of what
<v Speaker 3>gives these games their staying power and their charm, that
<v Speaker 3>once you finish the main quest, you can go back
<v Speaker 3>and explore, like there was an entire story around Queen's
<v Speaker 3>Blood with like a pretty interesting central character that many
<v Speaker 3>people might not even know about because they stopped playing
<v Speaker 3>Queen's Blood to go play the main quest. As you
<v Speaker 3>should go back and check that out. It's actually a
<v Speaker 3>really cool side mission. Yeah, check it out. But yeah,
<v Speaker 3>this is cool. More give me more cards, maybe some
<v Speaker 3>more like maybe the grid bigger so you can have
<v Speaker 3>a little more, maybe five lanes instead of three. There's
<v Speaker 3>ways to play with it.
<v Speaker 1>Sure, as far as the snowboarding goes, he did yell
<v Speaker 1>the word snowboarding, and then it says this is something
<v Speaker 1>that fans have really deep memories about. I'm afraid I
<v Speaker 1>can't delve too much into the detail else, but we
<v Speaker 1>understand that it's not going to just be a simple
<v Speaker 1>snowboarding mini game. We want to make sure that it's
<v Speaker 1>incorporated into the story to have that sort of connection
<v Speaker 1>with the theming of it. And yeah, that's fine, but
<v Speaker 1>also could just be snowboarding.
<v Speaker 2>Like it's that.
<v Speaker 1>Being random and silly in RPG's is a classic tradition
<v Speaker 1>and I welcome it still. But I bet they'll do
<v Speaker 1>a good job of making this feel like it serves
<v Speaker 1>a larger purpose.
<v Speaker 3>At the same time, I want them to build SSX
<v Speaker 3>tricky in Final Fantasy seven Remake Part three absolutely and
<v Speaker 3>ower tenny snowboarding. Wow, there it is.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, make it a hardcore physics snowboarding sem That's that's what.
<v Speaker 2>It should be.
<v Speaker 3>Actually, Yes, let's stick.
<v Speaker 1>With Square Innix and Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy seven Rebirth
<v Speaker 1>and Remake Part three will not be compromised when they do,
<v Speaker 1>indeed come to the switch To. According to Hamaguchi, uh
<v Speaker 1>this is from Nintendo Everything. Final Fantasy seven Rebirth and
<v Speaker 1>Remake Part three are set to be released on switch
<v Speaker 1>To in the future, and when they do launch, fans
<v Speaker 1>can rest easy knowing that the games won't be compromised
<v Speaker 1>on the hardware.
<v Speaker 2>Jason, I personally expect two to.
<v Speaker 1>Actually be a little bit more difficult than three, because
<v Speaker 1>two was made not with the switch To in mind,
<v Speaker 1>and it was like kind of rough. Even on PS five.
<v Speaker 1>PS five pro solved a lot of the issues. It
<v Speaker 1>was like a little little blurry right, and it's like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>so I could see like translating that to switch To
<v Speaker 1>maybe being somewhat of an issue. But they will make
<v Speaker 1>three with switch To in mind like that, and so
<v Speaker 1>they'll be able to scale it down a lot easier,
<v Speaker 1>I bet. But they're promising, you know, everything's going to
<v Speaker 1>be there for Rebirth, and that's good to hear. I
<v Speaker 1>think that Squarenix is like, oh, we need to definitely
<v Speaker 1>like make this feel like a Nintendo release in a
<v Speaker 1>lot of ways, because there's a lot of RPG freaks
<v Speaker 1>on the Switch and we need to recapture that audience
<v Speaker 1>after sort of not serving them very well for the
<v Speaker 1>last ten to fifteen years.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. I think with this it's easy to say when
<v Speaker 3>the remake part one comes out and is passing with
<v Speaker 3>flying Colors on Switch to right an over game, but
<v Speaker 3>Remake and Rebirth are two massively different games in terms
<v Speaker 3>of scale. Yeah, And I think I think two, you
<v Speaker 3>have to design this port with handheld in mind, because
<v Speaker 3>I think that's how a lot of switch To players
<v Speaker 3>are playing it. They're playing it handheld and docked on
<v Speaker 3>your TV. Is just an extra perk, right, that's your upscaling.
<v Speaker 3>You need to focus on the gameplay on the handheld,
<v Speaker 3>and if you can nail that, then the blurriness that
<v Speaker 3>the PS five original experienced is not going to matter
<v Speaker 3>much because that's not going to be docked to begin with,
<v Speaker 3>and nobody really cares about that little bit of blurriness
<v Speaker 3>on the fringes on the smaller screen at least, I
<v Speaker 3>don't think. Am I wrong? Am I off face about that? No?
<v Speaker 2>I think that's exactly right.
<v Speaker 3>And then I also think that you're right about three
<v Speaker 3>being easier to port from two than two is from one,
<v Speaker 3>because those it sounds to me we're sort of maybe
<v Speaker 3>not co developed, but three used a lot more of
<v Speaker 3>two use framework then two used of ones.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I think that's right, if that makes sense. So there's
<v Speaker 3>a lot more connective tissue there to work with that
<v Speaker 3>might make once they figure it out for two, make
<v Speaker 3>figuring it out for three just that much easier.
<v Speaker 2>Yep.
<v Speaker 3>So will it be day and date on all systems
<v Speaker 3>that I would not count on. Yeah, but we're also
<v Speaker 3>going to be surprised if that happened either. Sure, but
<v Speaker 3>I don't also, and again I don't think even if
<v Speaker 3>it's not, I don't think it'll be as long to
<v Speaker 3>wait for Switchers version of Part three than even what
<v Speaker 3>we're waiting for Part two now, right, I wouldn't be
<v Speaker 3>surprised if Part twos out by the end of the year. Right,
<v Speaker 3>they haven't announced it yet, but that makes the most sense.
<v Speaker 3>And then Part three maybe day and date. If they
<v Speaker 3>are planning for twenty twenty seven Part three, I.
<v Speaker 1>Think they want to get ready for day and date
<v Speaker 1>and do it if do it if it's possible.
<v Speaker 2>So yes, I think it makes sense to have that game.
<v Speaker 1>Out late this year, to have Rebirth out late this
<v Speaker 1>year or early next year.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and then part three on all systems for the
<v Speaker 3>thirtieth anniversary a fan Fantasy seven next year. That sounds
<v Speaker 3>like a sound plan to me. Let's hope they can
<v Speaker 3>do it.
<v Speaker 1>Rocketleague got an update on the switch for switch To.
<v Speaker 1>It was still like like limited to like thirty frames
<v Speaker 1>per second even though you were using the switch to
<v Speaker 1>and it could do much better.
<v Speaker 2>They unlock that.
<v Speaker 1>It's ten ADP sixty in doc mode now and ten
<v Speaker 1>ADP and sixty in handheld mode with a dynamic resolution though.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, that's that's welcome.
<v Speaker 1>I like this always reminds me of the thing that
<v Speaker 1>I least like about the Switch and Switch to is
<v Speaker 1>the lack of analog triggers. Like Trials was out on
<v Speaker 1>that system, and it's like you had to like do
<v Speaker 1>trials because Trials you have to like kind of just
<v Speaker 1>sometimes barely hit the gas to like go up these
<v Speaker 1>steep endclnes. And to replicate that, what they did is
<v Speaker 1>they put the gas on the on the trigger but
<v Speaker 1>also on the right analog stick, and so you kind
<v Speaker 1>of just have to barely hit the right analog stick.
<v Speaker 3>And it felt so weird.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, oh man, Rocket League is definitely a game
<v Speaker 1>in which sometimes I want to just kind of creep
<v Speaker 1>along and barely hit the sticks. I guess I have
<v Speaker 1>to tap the button. I played it a little bit
<v Speaker 1>on the Switch and I did. It wasn't like unplayable.
<v Speaker 1>But I can't Nintendo just put analog triggers on that thing.
<v Speaker 3>It's so stupid. I agree, and I will have to
<v Speaker 3>if they ask Dip what he thinks about this patch.
<v Speaker 3>He's the expert, right exactly.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, at least when it comes to the Giant bomb, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think so. Uh ah, right, that does it for
<v Speaker 1>all of the headlines. Let's get into the poll question
<v Speaker 1>from yesterday, and they no new pole question because it
<v Speaker 1>is time to do the bomb twelve to end the
<v Speaker 1>show this week.
<v Speaker 3>Let's see here.
<v Speaker 1>I have the results of the most recent pull over here,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm going to refresh.
<v Speaker 3>Let's see what we have.
<v Speaker 1>Do you still want Beyond Good and Evil from you
<v Speaker 1>Be Soft? I do, I don't, I never did, and
<v Speaker 1>I don't want anything from you Be Soft. Thirty four
<v Speaker 1>percent said I don't want anything from you Be Soft.
<v Speaker 1>Then thirty percent said I never did want Beyond Good
<v Speaker 1>and Evil too from you Be Soft. Twenty four percent, though,
<v Speaker 1>say they still do they want to see this game,
<v Speaker 1>and then twelve percent said I.
<v Speaker 2>Do not, So those will be people who have changed
<v Speaker 2>their minds. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, look, they're still making that game. I guess
<v Speaker 1>for who.
<v Speaker 2>I guess it's the twenty four percent in this poll.
<v Speaker 3>J Jason, what do you think? I think, even if
<v Speaker 3>that game comes out, I am not confident in you
<v Speaker 3>be Soft at all. No way. I mean, for the
<v Speaker 3>longest time, it's been markers on maps the game right
<v Speaker 3>across the different franchises. If they were trying to go
<v Speaker 3>over something different with this. I think any any good
<v Speaker 3>will they would have made with that is out the
<v Speaker 3>window because people are now worried about what the hell
<v Speaker 3>is going on over there, and this week did not
<v Speaker 3>help that at all. This Again, we talked about it
<v Speaker 3>earlier with the this is you blinked and the industry
<v Speaker 3>can change completely. And one of the harbingers of that change,
<v Speaker 3>or the biggest examples of that change, I think, is
<v Speaker 3>you be soft to a t. I don't know what
<v Speaker 3>even ten years ago, right, I don't know what the
<v Speaker 3>fuck happened, but I hope it comes out. I would
<v Speaker 3>like to have a game to reference when I talk
<v Speaker 3>about Beyond Good and Evil and not have a deep
<v Speaker 3>down situation. Shout out to my friend house if he's watching,
<v Speaker 3>It's all he talks about is deep down?
<v Speaker 2>Of course? Who am I?
<v Speaker 3>Every time I'm like, oh, this game. They might be
<v Speaker 3>announcing this game soon, he's like, is it deep down?
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, will you shut up? But yeah, I even
<v Speaker 3>if it does come out, I am one of the twenty.
<v Speaker 3>I do want to see it, but I just want
<v Speaker 3>it to be good and from Ubisoft that I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know it feels unlikely, all right, Like I said,
<v Speaker 1>we'll get to the bomb twelve here in a second.
<v Speaker 1>Before we do that, though, and like, why don't tell
<v Speaker 1>people where they can find you, what you have gone on?
<v Speaker 1>Tell them your deepest, darkest birthday wishes? Go ahead before
<v Speaker 1>it's yours. That my wife would kill me if I
<v Speaker 1>said my wishes.
<v Speaker 3>But now Jasonfidelli dot com on Blue Sky, big Man
<v Speaker 3>Finley on Instagram. I don't have an ex anymore because
<v Speaker 3>fuck that platform. I am writing news a game spot,
<v Speaker 3>still doing galleries and stuff. There a couple of interviews,
<v Speaker 3>I'm sorry, reviews in the pipeline. Interviews too, still coming
<v Speaker 3>out from the TGA's They're just they're just they're in print.
<v Speaker 3>They're not on a website, so I gotta wait a
<v Speaker 3>little while. But they're coming. They're coming, trust me, you'll
<v Speaker 3>I'll be yelling from the rooftops when they actual when
<v Speaker 3>they arrive. I did a recent a little feature thing
<v Speaker 3>on this cool little device. I meant to get it
<v Speaker 3>ready and then I forgot. There's Rubik's wou Cube. It's
<v Speaker 3>like an electronic Rubi's cube. It's two by two. It's
<v Speaker 3>got screens on each side, and it's got multiple different
<v Speaker 3>games in it, Like there's a pac Man style game
<v Speaker 3>where you turn the thing and a little bunny eats
<v Speaker 3>the dots and you have to direct it around that.
<v Speaker 3>That's cool. It's got the cue I wanted to. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>it was a neat little thing. That's on m M RPG.
<v Speaker 3>You can check that out. Still still writing about magic.
<v Speaker 3>I did the gallery of the whole Low Ring set
<v Speaker 3>that comes out today on my birthday. Went to a
<v Speaker 3>pre release, got some cards, built a deck, I built grub.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I built finally some representation in media grubs grubs.
<v Speaker 3>Whole thing is gathering a bunch of goblins and attacking
<v Speaker 3>everybody on the table.
<v Speaker 2>Which game mornings, that's right.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, so yeah, that's just doing my thing there and yeah,
<v Speaker 3>getting a little older today, I'm after this. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 3>go get a sandwich from my favorite deli tonight. I'm
<v Speaker 3>going to my parents. We're doing the thing over there.
<v Speaker 3>Good birthday before mother Nature comes and inserts herself into
<v Speaker 3>my life for a couple of days. Yep.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well we already have the The kids are off
<v Speaker 1>of school today because more today like super super cold weather.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, they're like just everyone stay home. So yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>we had a we had a nice night. We had
<v Speaker 3>a nice overnight planned in the city. We're gonna do
<v Speaker 3>We're doing a beer tasting thing, and then got a
<v Speaker 3>hotel room is gonna be great, and then fucking mother
<v Speaker 3>nature we had to cancel a hotel. Still doing everything
<v Speaker 3>else because I think Sunday morning is when it hits us.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, it'd be.
<v Speaker 2>Good, fantastic.
<v Speaker 1>Well again, Happy birthday, Jason, Thank you so much. But uh,
<v Speaker 1>it's time, everybody, it's time to do the bomb.
<v Speaker 2>Twelve.
<v Speaker 1>These are twelve games that really matter to people who
<v Speaker 1>are really playing video games.
<v Speaker 2>Let's hop in here.
<v Speaker 1>Holy shit, I updated the link late, so there wasn't
<v Speaker 1>as many respondents as normal. Somece we got some weird
<v Speaker 1>ones in here, which I appreciate. Sectory at number twelve.
<v Speaker 1>I'm still the game I'm playing the most. Number eleven
<v Speaker 1>is Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I guess people checked out
<v Speaker 1>that movie DLC that popped off at the end of
<v Speaker 1>last month, and some people went back. Number ten is
<v Speaker 1>Haities two, number nine Hollow Night, Silk Song, then Warframe
<v Speaker 1>at number eighty, Warcraft at number seven, Yes, Baby Steps
<v Speaker 1>at number six Mountain Blade mount and Blade two at
<v Speaker 1>number five. Oh yeah, shouts out to the people playing
<v Speaker 1>that number four is Clear Obscurity Expedition thirty three. The
<v Speaker 1>number three is Deadlock, a game that exists. And then
<v Speaker 1>number two properly announced.
<v Speaker 3>That's number three on the Bomb twelve. That's Wild Sows.
<v Speaker 2>And then number one is our Raiders.
<v Speaker 1>So yes, so we'll have maybe a less wild listen
<v Speaker 1>next week, but I will update the link right away today.
<v Speaker 1>I have a little bit of time that one you
<v Speaker 1>guys can submit your game for next week's Bomb twelve.
<v Speaker 3>Just because I might have talked over at number two
<v Speaker 3>is out of World too, let me.
<v Speaker 1>Make sure that said yes, Outer World's two at number two.
<v Speaker 1>All right, that's the Bomb twelve here on Giant Bomb.
<v Speaker 1>We have some other stuff popping off today. We'll be
<v Speaker 1>doing our Fantasy Critic draft later on and upf slots,
<v Speaker 1>so that should be three pm Eastern, I believe all right.
<v Speaker 1>With all of that out of the way, I think
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get out of here. Jason Finelli, thank you
<v Speaker 1>so much for hanging out with me today and talk
<v Speaker 1>about video games.
<v Speaker 3>Man.
<v Speaker 2>I really appreciate it.
<v Speaker 3>Happy to do it. One of my favorite things.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you all for watching and listening. You are the
<v Speaker 1>best audience in gaming. And until next time, have a
<v Speaker 1>good one, take care of yourself and goodbye.
