The Being in the Tree: Virginia Encounter That Changed Everything | The Night the Woods Went Silent
In this episode, I interview Anthony from Virginia, who experienced a series of chilling encounters on his family’s property — events that affected him for years and left his entire family shaken.
What began as a normal weekend visit quickly escalated after Anthony received a warning that a fugitive was loose in the area. Moments later, he felt violent vibrations beneath the house, as if something massive was running just outside the walls. When he turned on the porch light, he witnessed a huge figure that appeared to be wearing Carhartt coveralls before it leapt off the deck with incredible speed.
Believing the fugitive was outside, Anthony armed himself and scanned the property. That’s when he saw the real source of the disturbance — a towering, hair-covered being perched twenty feet up in a tree. Its long black hair, scars, and humanoid frame left him frozen in disbelief. As he stared at it, he realised it wasn’t a man at all… and certainly not wearing any clothing.
The encounters didn’t stop there. Anthony began seeing strange hooded figures in robes, found barefoot prints on the property, and later witnessed a massive unseen creature pushing through reeds. The fear lingered long after the events ended — to the point that Anthony slept in his work truck with the lights on.
Join me as we break down this unsettling Virginia encounter, explore the possibilities behind what Anthony saw, and discuss how these experiences can leave a permanent imprint on those who witness the unexplained. <v Speaker 1>Hey, everyone, Welcome to Sasquatch Theory. Today's episode takes us <v Speaker 1>deep into the shadowed hills of Virginia, where a simple <v Speaker 1>weekend visit between a son and his parents turn into <v Speaker 1>a series of encounters that would haunt a family for years. <v Speaker 1>Anthony and his father were close hunting partners, outdoorsmen, and <v Speaker 1>the kind of men who knew every sound their land made. <v Speaker 1>But one particular weekend, everything changed. A warning came across <v Speaker 1>the phone. A fugitive was on the run in the area. <v Speaker 1>The family locked their doors, but what came to their <v Speaker 1>home wasn't a man at all. All right, guys, <v Speaker 1>with all that being said, let's dive straight into Anthony's <v Speaker 1>terrifying encounters from the state of Virginia. Anthony, Welcome to <v Speaker 1>Sasquatch Theory. How are you doing today. <v Speaker 3>I'm good man, good to be here. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Absolutely, it's a pleasure to have you on the show. <v Speaker 1>If you would tell me a little bit about yourself, <v Speaker 1>where you're from, and your bigfoot encounters and experiences from <v Speaker 1>the very beginning. <v Speaker 3>Please all right, my name's Anthony, originally from my parents <v Speaker 3>retired and moved down moved down to World, Virginia. About <v Speaker 3>a good estimate is about fifty miles west of Richmond, Virginia, <v Speaker 3>if you would have put it like, you know, put <v Speaker 3>it on a map, and uh yeah. I followed my <v Speaker 3>family down here in about two thousand and eight. And <v Speaker 3>we've always been outdoorsy as a family. I've always me <v Speaker 3>and my dad have a have always been hunting and <v Speaker 3>target shooting and rifles and competing in archery, you know. <v Speaker 3>And it was a it was my dad's dream house. Basically, <v Speaker 3>he built down here and during the time when everything <v Speaker 3>when this all happened. I had started my own trucking company, <v Speaker 3>so I was about three months into my owner operation, <v Speaker 3>her flatbed, running my flatbed, and a lot was going on. <v Speaker 3>So some of what I'm gonna some of what I'm <v Speaker 3>going to bring up, you know, may or may not <v Speaker 3>have to do with my mom being sick and my <v Speaker 3>dad's struggling with an illness with his dementia. My dad <v Speaker 3>was a retired he was a retired police officer for <v Speaker 3>New Jersey, so we don't know how he got sick. <v Speaker 3>But my mother was fighting lung cancer and she's for <v Speaker 3>her age, she's fairly she was fairly young at this <v Speaker 3>point in time. And I was on the road all <v Speaker 3>week and I'd usually come home on the weekends. And uh, <v Speaker 3>I was dating my wife at the time, so I <v Speaker 3>would stay with my parents on the weekends. And uh <v Speaker 3>in this house, and it's a beautiful home. It was, <v Speaker 3>like I said, it was my dad's dream home. And <v Speaker 3>he had about nine acres, but it back to like <v Speaker 3>just infinite woods. So we had our all our our <v Speaker 3>bow stands I had till this day. I think there's <v Speaker 3>those bow stands are probably still there. There was like <v Speaker 3>four climbers, four climbers, uh and like maybe like three <v Speaker 3>ladder stands that we had on the small, even though <v Speaker 3>small piece of property, like all the all the woods <v Speaker 3>around it, like nobody nobody hunted, and there was a <v Speaker 3>a lease for a bunch of guys that would hunt. <v Speaker 3>They would run dogs, So a lot of times they <v Speaker 3>would run dogs and they'd push they'd push deer like <v Speaker 3>right to us. So it kind of worked out pretty good. <v Speaker 3>But uh So August twenty eighth, twenty twenty one, uh <v Speaker 3>about midnight, the phone rings, and uh I answered the phone, <v Speaker 3>and I don't know word for word, but it sounded <v Speaker 3>like a recording, and what with the recording basically said <v Speaker 3>was we believe that there's dangerous fugitive in your area <v Speaker 3>and to lock your doors something to that effect. I <v Speaker 3>don't know if they said fugitive or they said dangerous <v Speaker 3>suspect or something like that, but I thought it was <v Speaker 3>really odd. So as I was on the phone listening <v Speaker 3>to this recording and the recording cut out, my father <v Speaker 3>came into the room from his bedroom and like I said, <v Speaker 3>he was in the early stages of dementia, and he <v Speaker 3>was like, you know, kind of like what's going on? <v Speaker 3>Why is the phone ringing so late, you know, he's retired. <v Speaker 3>And and my mom, she was sleeping on the couch <v Speaker 3>because she had an oxygen machine at the time, and <v Speaker 3>they're asking me what's going on, and I was like, oh, <v Speaker 3>they said there's They said there's a dangerous fugitive or <v Speaker 3>suspect in the area, and uh, you know to lock <v Speaker 3>all your doors and you know, to beyond beyond alert, <v Speaker 3>I guess, So so I went. I went to the <v Speaker 3>downstairs of the property and I checked all the locks, <v Speaker 3>and I made sure. We have two double doors that <v Speaker 3>opened to the pool area underneath the deck and they're <v Speaker 3>like French doors. So I went and there's They're very open. <v Speaker 3>You could see inside really easily. So I was like, okay, <v Speaker 3>you know, if there is really something going on, like, <v Speaker 3>I want to make sure those doors are locked. So <v Speaker 3>I went downstairs to check those likes I didn't even <v Speaker 3>turn the lights on. And sorry, I'm getting nervous already <v Speaker 3>just thinking about this. This has been four years and <v Speaker 3>I still struggle with it. I went back upstairs and <v Speaker 3>I went to go. I was walking towards the light <v Speaker 3>switch to flip on the light switch to the deck <v Speaker 3>to the upstairs deck. Now, the deck was about twelve <v Speaker 3>to fourteen feet above above grade. It was a giant ranch, <v Speaker 3>but a full basement with twelve foot ceilings, so the <v Speaker 3>deck on the back of the house was pretty high <v Speaker 3>off the ground. And as I was walking to flip <v Speaker 3>the light switch on, I felt And the only way <v Speaker 3>I can describe this is I've had little kids in <v Speaker 3>the house and my nephews when they would run on <v Speaker 3>the grip. When they would run, you could feel the <v Speaker 3>ground kind of not shake or move, but you could <v Speaker 3>feel their footsteps kind of move on the ground. And <v Speaker 3>that's what I felt. But it was a lot it <v Speaker 3>was a lot larger of a vibration. And as I <v Speaker 3>was reaching for the light, I flipped the light on <v Speaker 3>that lights up the back deck, and I see what <v Speaker 3>I thought was a guy in like Carhart overalls just <v Speaker 3>dive over the side of the railing off of this <v Speaker 3>twelve foot deck, and I was like, what the f <v Speaker 3>you know, And I felt it in the ground. I <v Speaker 3>felt the the heuse like the floor shift, you know, <v Speaker 3>So I knew I wasn't just like and it was <v Speaker 3>so fast that I was like, that just happened. So <v Speaker 3>so I kind of I was like kind of freaking out, <v Speaker 3>and my dad is standing behind me, and he, like <v Speaker 3>I said, he was starting with dementia and he didn't <v Speaker 3>see what I saw. But I ran into my room <v Speaker 3>and I grabbed my rifle and it's a I put that. <v Speaker 3>It's a little three hundred blackout and I put my <v Speaker 3>suppressor on there, and it's like my home defense gun. <v Speaker 3>You know, we live out in the country. There's no <v Speaker 3>street lights, there's nothing out there, so you know, I'm <v Speaker 3>I'm sure it may sound weird, but I always we <v Speaker 3>always had a rifle or a shotgun in the closet <v Speaker 3>or somewhere at hand. And I gave my dad my <v Speaker 3>concealed carry pistol and I pulled him to follow me <v Speaker 3>downstairs because I just saw somebody jump off our deck <v Speaker 3>and I was like, what the hell. So I go <v Speaker 3>outside through those French doors. I was trying to explain <v Speaker 3>to you, and I got the weapon light and I'm <v Speaker 3>scanning the woods. Now. We have an above ground pool <v Speaker 3>about twenty yards from the deck, and then the woodline <v Speaker 3>is about another twenty yards past the pool, and I'm <v Speaker 3>looking for anything that I can see as far as <v Speaker 3>a person or listen. I'm more listening, you know, but <v Speaker 3>I'm also scanning with the light and I didn't see anything, <v Speaker 3>and something told me to look up. I don't know <v Speaker 3>what it was, but like, look, look up, look above <v Speaker 3>where a normal person would be standing. So I start <v Speaker 3>scanning up into the left of the property and like <v Speaker 3>I said, I didn't hear anything, and I see what <v Speaker 3>I thought was It was a knee, basically a knee <v Speaker 3>on the side of a tree, and it was about <v Speaker 3>twenty feet up in the tree. And I'm looking at <v Speaker 3>this and I know it's it stands out and the <v Speaker 3>white light of the weapon light is really bright. So <v Speaker 3>when I see this looked like what looked like a <v Speaker 3>person's knee like clung onto the side of this oak tree, <v Speaker 3>I'm starting to pick it out in my brain that <v Speaker 3>there's black hair all over this knee and there's scars. <v Speaker 3>I could see these little scars and like old scars <v Speaker 3>on it, and just long black hair on this knee. <v Speaker 3>And just as soon as I recognized what it was, sorry, <v Speaker 3>I have to breathe. I saw if you extend your <v Speaker 3>right arm, and if you're if someone's looking at you <v Speaker 3>while you extend right arm, they could see the inside <v Speaker 3>of your bicep and your forearm. And that's exactly what <v Speaker 3>I saw as this creature, what I believed to be <v Speaker 3>was a big fook. I never saw its face. It <v Speaker 3>extended its right arm, and I could see the separation <v Speaker 3>between the bicep and the tricep and about six inches <v Speaker 3>of black hair dangling off of the arm. As it <v Speaker 3>extended that arm out, it reached up and grabbed onto <v Speaker 3>a branch and pulled itself up, and that knee that <v Speaker 3>I saw shifted behind the light out of my view, <v Speaker 3>and I was like, holy crap, like you know, like <v Speaker 3>like I said, I didn't see the face of it, <v Speaker 3>but it was a great art. The skin color on <v Speaker 3>the arm was gray, it was like a and even <v Speaker 3>with that white light on it, it was like a <v Speaker 3>light gray, but the hair dangling off of it was <v Speaker 3>at black. And the arm it was kind of you know, <v Speaker 3>it's probably about twenty five twenty five yards away, but <v Speaker 3>it seemed like it was still way too long to <v Speaker 3>be like a person. And I'm like, obviously a person <v Speaker 3>can't shin me up a tree with its arms and <v Speaker 3>knees like that, like you know, unless there's some kind <v Speaker 3>of athlete. So so I my Dad's standing behind me, <v Speaker 3>and I start backing up. And at this point, my <v Speaker 3>situational awareness was, if there's one there, there's probably another <v Speaker 3>one somewhere else. And like I said, the one that <v Speaker 3>what I saw dive over the deck was a brown color. <v Speaker 3>So I start scanning the woodline as I'm backing up <v Speaker 3>to go back inside of the house, and just beyond <v Speaker 3>the pool, just inside the woodline, I saw what looked <v Speaker 3>like a It looked like a guy in a gilly suit. <v Speaker 3>I know people have stated this before. And it was <v Speaker 3>perched up in the tree just as if you would <v Speaker 3>sit in a tree stamp. It was standing sitting there <v Speaker 3>in the tree with with its hands down by its bites, <v Speaker 3>but as if it was like sitting, almost like it <v Speaker 3>was sitting in a chair, you know, And it had <v Speaker 3>its head down. And once again I focusing on the <v Speaker 3>on the knee because like I said, I thought this <v Speaker 3>was first. I thought for sure it was somebody in <v Speaker 3>a Gillie suit. So so I, uh, I've got the <v Speaker 3>light on it, and I said. I don't remember exactly <v Speaker 3>what I said, but I was like, you know, like <v Speaker 3>who are you or what are you? You know, I <v Speaker 3>was like, what are you? Doing like I was treating <v Speaker 3>it as if it was a person. But then I <v Speaker 3>then I once again I focused in on the knee, <v Speaker 3>and I noticed that it's not a gilly suit. It's <v Speaker 3>actual hair. And what gave it away was the knee <v Speaker 3>was the actual knee cap was all scarred up again, <v Speaker 3>had like it had like a like a Caucasian complexion, <v Speaker 3>the white white skin basically, but it had multi color <v Speaker 3>brown and gray, all almost like a calico kind of cap, <v Speaker 3>you know, different shades of brown and gray, and the <v Speaker 3>the like I said, the knee is what made me <v Speaker 3>convince me that this wasn't a suit or a gilly suit, <v Speaker 3>because I've I've seen plenty of people in gilly suits <v Speaker 3>and they don't you could tell. It's like a mesh material. <v Speaker 3>And I could see the scars on its knees, and <v Speaker 3>it did not move. It did not move as I <v Speaker 3>was I don't even remember what I said, but I <v Speaker 3>know what I said as I backed up, because it <v Speaker 3>didn't respond, and it had its head down and all <v Speaker 3>I could see was like the tip of his nose <v Speaker 3>because its hair was all covering its face. So once <v Speaker 3>again I'm looking at this thing twenty five yards in <v Speaker 3>front of me. It did not move a muscle. It <v Speaker 3>was like almost like it was pretending I wasn't there, <v Speaker 3>you know, thinking back, I feel like it it got caught, <v Speaker 3>you know, like almost like a little kid who gets <v Speaker 3>caught and they're just like, you can't see me, you know, <v Speaker 3>even though almost blasting it with a bright ass light, <v Speaker 3>and I'm like trying to figure out what you are. <v Speaker 3>And then once I something must have told me that <v Speaker 3>this was not a person, because the words that I <v Speaker 3>used I'll never forget. As I was backing up and <v Speaker 3>I basically ran backwards inside after this was we mean <v Speaker 3>you no harm, is what I said to it. And <v Speaker 3>I think, I know it's sad to me it sounds <v Speaker 3>silly so like uh to say those words, but at <v Speaker 3>the time, like I was in shock, in fear, and <v Speaker 3>so basically, uh, you know, it never made any gestures <v Speaker 3>or you know, or decided to come after or jump <v Speaker 3>out of the tree or come after us. It didn't <v Speaker 3>make any sound or anything like that. But uh we <v Speaker 3>uh we we backed up into the house and I <v Speaker 3>was scanning the property to where I saw the one <v Speaker 3>with the black hair backed up in the house and <v Speaker 3>closed the door, locked the door and I remember going <v Speaker 3>upstairs and my mom was like, what are you doing? <v Speaker 3>What's going on? You know, asking me all these questions, <v Speaker 3>and I'm like, I think I remember saying to her <v Speaker 3>like they're real, you know, like She's like, what are <v Speaker 3>you talking about? And I'm like, effing bigfoot, you know, <v Speaker 3>like so so yeah. So that night, it was already <v Speaker 3>pretty late, but I have a chocolate lab named Morgan, <v Speaker 3>and she would not go in my room for some reason. <v Speaker 3>She usually slept with me in my bed. <v Speaker 4>I've had her since she was a puppy, and she <v Speaker 4>refused to sleep in my bed, so I kept she <v Speaker 4>kept going to the door as if she wanted to <v Speaker 4>be left alone, and just. <v Speaker 3>I tried to lay down, I kept arguing with my <v Speaker 3>dad because he didn't understand what. I don't think he <v Speaker 3>saw what I saw. I don't know. I asked him, <v Speaker 3>I said, did you see that? And his exact words were, <v Speaker 3>I'm not sure. And at this point in time, he <v Speaker 3>still couldn't He couldn't really communicate great, but he had <v Speaker 3>a few phrases that he could say, and those were <v Speaker 3>that was what he said. A lot was I'm not sure. <v Speaker 3>I'm not sure. When you would ask him something he <v Speaker 3>would say, I'm not sure. So I'm still in my <v Speaker 3>mind like thinking, like am I losing my mind? Like <v Speaker 3>what is this? Did I really just see what this was? <v Speaker 3>So I finally got to calm down enough and I <v Speaker 3>was argument with my dad about keeping the lights on <v Speaker 3>on the outside lights on, and in the back of <v Speaker 3>my mind, I'm like, should I call our neighbor, you know? <v Speaker 3>Should I let my let the neighbor know what I saw? <v Speaker 3>And I'm like, in the back of my head, I'm like, <v Speaker 3>what am I going to tell them? You know? And <v Speaker 3>then the phone call earlier from what I believe was <v Speaker 3>the Sheriff's apartment, like saying to be on the lookout, <v Speaker 3>you know, Like what do I can't call them and <v Speaker 3>say what I They'll think I'm crazy, you know, So <v Speaker 3>more things will come, will come forward to justify what <v Speaker 3>I thought I saw, because at this point I was <v Speaker 3>still like questioning myself. You know, I've always kind of <v Speaker 3>believed that these things were out there, but I've never <v Speaker 3>ran into them. And we've been on that property since <v Speaker 3>two thousand and eight, so this was twenty twenty one, <v Speaker 3>and I've never seen anything anything like that before, you know, <v Speaker 3>so I finally I'm laying down in my bed, I've <v Speaker 3>got my TV on, I'm trying to calm down. I'm like, <v Speaker 3>I got to try to get some rest. This is <v Speaker 3>a few hours later, and I'll never forget it. Just <v Speaker 3>as I'm closing my eyes to doze off, I was <v Speaker 3>finally calm I feel this. I heard and felt this <v Speaker 3>giant slap on the side of the house right above <v Speaker 3>my window, and it made me literally levitate out of bed, <v Speaker 3>like as if something through a rock or hit the <v Speaker 3>side of the house, like just above where my window was. <v Speaker 3>And I had my blinds drawn, so I couldn't imagine <v Speaker 3>anything could see end. So that was like, you know, <v Speaker 3>is this thing watching me as I'm trying to sleep. <v Speaker 3>But then I thought back, and I've had that same <v Speaker 3>thing happen probably about four or five times prior, where <v Speaker 3>I'll just be starting to go to sleep and ILL <v Speaker 3>feel like a slap on the side of the house <v Speaker 3>just kind of ring, you know. So I kind of <v Speaker 3>I was like, wait, you know what, thinking about it, <v Speaker 3>I'm having time to think about it. I was like, <v Speaker 3>you know, this has happened before, you know, but this <v Speaker 3>time that night it was very, very loud, so so <v Speaker 3>that was that was my experience the following The following morning, <v Speaker 3>I was literally like it was a beautiful day. It <v Speaker 3>was a gorgeous summer day out there. Everything's green, no <v Speaker 3>no clouds in the sky. But and it was really <v Speaker 3>hot during the during that time of the year in August, <v Speaker 3>and I went outside. I got up enough nerve to <v Speaker 3>go out under you know, out the downstairs uh French doors, <v Speaker 3>and right underneath where the deck, where the deck is, <v Speaker 3>the ground is notoriously soft. Right there. It's a low <v Speaker 3>lying area and it holds a lot of water in <v Speaker 3>that grass. And sure enough, there was what I could <v Speaker 3>only say it was like an imprint from something landing there, <v Speaker 3>Like something jumped off like I thought, and landed there. <v Speaker 3>You could almost you can almost put your right knee <v Speaker 3>down and you're in a left foot, and then where <v Speaker 3>the left foot where you could see where you could <v Speaker 3>kind of judge where the left foot was, is where <v Speaker 3>I saw earth like kicked out, like as if something <v Speaker 3>landed right knee, left foot and then kicked off with <v Speaker 3>its left foot towards the woodline. So that kind of <v Speaker 3>confirmed to me, like you know what, I uh, what <v Speaker 3>I saw really happened, And then UH. I spent the <v Speaker 3>next the rest of that weekend scanning the woods with <v Speaker 3>my phone and I have a little uh, I have <v Speaker 3>a spotting scope in the basement, so I was looking <v Speaker 3>looking in the woods, and I I thought I caught <v Speaker 3>a couple. I saw some weird things, man, And this <v Speaker 3>is where this is where it gets goes from what <v Speaker 3>what could have easily just been okay, it's bad enough, <v Speaker 3>like too bigfoot. But I kept seeing what looked like <v Speaker 3>hooded like black hooded things walking around just as it <v Speaker 3>would get dark. And I could never get a picture <v Speaker 3>of like anything like with it with its like face <v Speaker 3>or anything. But I kept seeing these hooded things, like <v Speaker 3>people size things with black robes and hoods, and this <v Speaker 3>this is crazy. But my mom passed away a month <v Speaker 3>after this happened, exactly, you know, like a month to <v Speaker 3>the day after this happened. So when I was telling <v Speaker 3>my family members about this, they kept bringing up the <v Speaker 3>the UH which call it what do they call the <v Speaker 3>Grim Reaper? And I was like, well, that's exactly what <v Speaker 3>it looked like to me. And I think the best <v Speaker 3>thing I got was like a picture of this like <v Speaker 3>partial black road looking thing, but it was obscured by <v Speaker 3>a bunch of branches, but I kept seeing I just <v Speaker 3>couldn't get a picture of it because I was like, <v Speaker 3>no one's gonna believe me, you know. And then I <v Speaker 3>got probably one of the weirdest photos I got was this, <v Speaker 3>I don't know what you would call it. It had black <v Speaker 3>a black face, and it looked like a monster. And <v Speaker 3>so I got a picture of that. It was very blurry, <v Speaker 3>it's not very a good photo. But and then I <v Speaker 3>saw in the and I got one photo of what <v Speaker 3>I appear to be like a sasquatch peeking around a tree. Sorry, <v Speaker 3>I'm just really I'm really nervous. I've never told this story. <v Speaker 3>I've always been afraid to, but I've I've been listening <v Speaker 3>to you for a while, and uh, I feel like <v Speaker 3>I feel like it's just time for me to tell mine, <v Speaker 3>you know. And I don't know what to make of it, <v Speaker 3>you know. I second guessed myself for for a long time. <v Speaker 3>Did I really see what I saw? Then I I <v Speaker 3>literally saw these things and got decent, if not poorly <v Speaker 3>not not great photos, But it convinced me that what <v Speaker 3>I you know, what I saw actually happened. And so yeah, <v Speaker 3>that was it. I went to I want to work <v Speaker 3>that Monday morning, and I didn't. I don't think I <v Speaker 3>slept for like two weeks. I was I was a mess. <v Speaker 3>I was worried about my parents being in that house, <v Speaker 3>you know, worried that you know what I saw was <v Speaker 3>but oh yeah, there was. There was one other, really <v Speaker 3>really strange thing and I was just about to get <v Speaker 3>it was. It was like Sunday, It was a day <v Speaker 3>after and it was getting later in the afternoon, and <v Speaker 3>I was using my phone to like look at the <v Speaker 3>look at the edge of the woods, and I was <v Speaker 3>kind of I was thinking, like I need to just <v Speaker 3>take my motorcycle and go for a ride. And as <v Speaker 3>I uh, as I had the phone looking through the window, Man, <v Speaker 3>this is crazy, Miguel. I don't even know like how <v Speaker 3>to explain it. But it looked like a green cartoonish <v Speaker 3>like I called it. I called it like smiley because <v Speaker 3>it was smiling and it looked like a green maybe <v Speaker 3>four foot five foot cartoonish green, same color as the leaves, <v Speaker 3>but it was it popped up and it was smiling <v Speaker 3>at me, and it made the gesture that I'm watching you. <v Speaker 3>It pointed to its eyes and then it pointed to <v Speaker 3>me and then it just dipped down. So I I <v Speaker 3>did not Let's just put it this, I did. I never. <v Speaker 3>I never went for that motorcycle ride. I was forced <v Speaker 3>to go back, and I was forced to leave the house, <v Speaker 3>you know, Monday, Monday morning. And yeah, man, driving out <v Speaker 3>of that driveway, being next to those woods, I was <v Speaker 3>I was scared. Man. I didn't want to believe what <v Speaker 3>my eyes were showing you, so but I tried to <v Speaker 3>document it the best I could, and I sent you. <v Speaker 3>I sent you a couple of photos. I know they're <v Speaker 3>not great, but that was the best I could do. <v Speaker 3>And that was my experience, man. I mean in the past. <v Speaker 3>There was one other time in the past where me <v Speaker 3>and my dad were looking at it. He's of property <v Speaker 3>that I was going to buy, and we were walking. <v Speaker 3>We were walking. It was the property was located right <v Speaker 3>on the edge of a swamp, and we were walking <v Speaker 3>the trail to look at the property and I saw <v Speaker 3>a bare foot print, but it was like maybe like <v Speaker 3>a size six or seven kids size barefoot print. But <v Speaker 3>it was the middle of the fall, and I was like, wow, <v Speaker 3>would somebody be barefoot out here walking? And as we <v Speaker 3>were walking back to the car, because we walked the <v Speaker 3>whole length of the path, which would have been the <v Speaker 3>driveway to the property if if you were to buy <v Speaker 3>and build. We took a we took an offshoot of <v Speaker 3>a trail and my dad was standing there and there's <v Speaker 3>there's it was well overgrown, like reads like eight feet high. <v Speaker 3>And as he was standing there, I heard something shift <v Speaker 3>right behind him and it didn't sound like a four legged, <v Speaker 3>four legged gear or anything. This is this is before <v Speaker 3>the incident happened. But that was the only time where <v Speaker 3>I thought like I put two and two together, like <v Speaker 3>something just moved and took off. It literally just shot <v Speaker 3>off right behind my dad. But the way it sounded, <v Speaker 3>and if you're a hunter, you know what something sounds like. <v Speaker 3>That's big, small, four legged, two legged, you know. And yeah, <v Speaker 3>my dad looked at me. It was like, what the <v Speaker 3>hell was that. I could see the reeds, the tip <v Speaker 3>of the tops of the reeds moving as this thing <v Speaker 3>just bulldozed away from us. And then I put two <v Speaker 3>and two together with the footprint. I was like, that's <v Speaker 3>but you know, I never saw anything that time. But yeah, <v Speaker 3>August twenty eight, twenty twenty one, Man, it was a <v Speaker 3>crazy weekend and it stayed with me. And I mean, <v Speaker 3>my mom literally passed away a month after, and I <v Speaker 3>wanted to say one other thing because this is what <v Speaker 3>actually got me to call you and to tell my story. <v Speaker 3>There has been multiple times where I've been listening to <v Speaker 3>podcasts where people say, like, where did the I think <v Speaker 3>that I think it was one of your episodes. I <v Speaker 3>can't remember exactly which one, but the the person says like, <v Speaker 3>where did the Sasquatch go? And someone told them the <v Speaker 3>green people, the green guys took them or something like that, <v Speaker 3>and I couldn't help but think, like of the that <v Speaker 3>green cartoonish looking thing that I saw, you know, that <v Speaker 3>was smiling, and I was like, is that what they <v Speaker 3>mean when they say the green the green ones took them? <v Speaker 3>Or I don't know, man, I'm just throwing that out there, <v Speaker 3>but you know, yeah, that's that's that's my that's my story, man. <v Speaker 1>All right, Anthony, I appreciate you for sharing that with Man, <v Speaker 1>it's a valid question. I wonder what it was. What <v Speaker 1>do you think the green bean or creature was? <v Speaker 3>Man, it's it's I want to know what the hooded <v Speaker 3>things were. Man, That's what freaked me out. Even more, <v Speaker 3>you know, what were these things that were six foot plus, <v Speaker 3>like wearing black robes you couldn't see I could never <v Speaker 3>see like the face on it or anything. But as <v Speaker 3>far as the green thing, I mean, like it just <v Speaker 3>seemed like it was what other people talk about, these <v Speaker 3>these forest beans maybe, or these extraterrestrials or something. I <v Speaker 3>really don't know. But it looked at me as if <v Speaker 3>it knew it knew me, you know, and it was smiling, <v Speaker 3>and it pointed to its eyes and then to me <v Speaker 3>as if to say, I'm watching you. And it just <v Speaker 3>gives me goosebumps, man, Like what was? And then with <v Speaker 3>everything going on with my dad being sick and my <v Speaker 3>mom passing away a month later, like, it just opens <v Speaker 3>up so many questions, you know, Like, for as long <v Speaker 3>as we've been there, we've never had anything weird having <v Speaker 3>and then all of a sudden, my Mom's about to <v Speaker 3>die and this happens. It's weird, man. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's a strange coincidence to say the least. And <v Speaker 1>I've personally spoken with people that swear they've seen the <v Speaker 1>Grim Reaper, and that's what they say that after they <v Speaker 1>have this encounter with this being, like someone and their <v Speaker 1>family passes away. But also it could have been possibly <v Speaker 1>the Sasquatch. They do have conical shaped heads, not all <v Speaker 1>of them, but some of them do. Did this look <v Speaker 1>more like clothing like the grim Reaper? And did it <v Speaker 1>have like a staff with the blade on it or <v Speaker 1>could you recall anything like that? <v Speaker 3>No, I never saw anything like in its hands. But <v Speaker 3>you're right, though I do I do agree with you <v Speaker 3>like the way that it did look, it could have <v Speaker 3>very because every time I saw them, it was getting <v Speaker 3>pretty dark out, so I did see like that taper <v Speaker 3>at the top, and it would throw you off if <v Speaker 3>they you know, I've never seen one before, but the <v Speaker 3>one that I sent you the picture of, it's not <v Speaker 3>obviously it's the one with the looks like he's got <v Speaker 3>a really big nose. Did you see that anyway? Anyway? <v Speaker 3>That's you know, that's what I assume that that looks like. <v Speaker 3>But with these with these hooded things, man, it really <v Speaker 3>really to me looked like as if it was a <v Speaker 3>human shape being with a cloak, and it just you know, <v Speaker 3>like I said, I can never get a good view <v Speaker 3>of it, but you know, right before dark, i'd see <v Speaker 3>him moving around and it's like right off the right, <v Speaker 3>right along the woodline. I'm like, what is that? You know? <v Speaker 3>And and then there was one picture I got that <v Speaker 3>I think I sent you where it you could see <v Speaker 3>like what looked like almost like dark black velvety fabric. <v Speaker 3>You know. It didn't look like fur to me anyway, <v Speaker 3>but it was I don't know, I don't know, man, <v Speaker 3>this is this is difficult to like, it's it's blown <v Speaker 3>my whole paradigm out, you know, And try explaining this <v Speaker 3>to you know, my now wife and my sister at <v Speaker 3>the time. The only thing I could do is I <v Speaker 3>have to try to get a picture of something, you know, <v Speaker 3>and you know, because I it was hard enough for <v Speaker 3>me to believe what my own eyes were seeing, you know. <v Speaker 3>And yeah, that was wild man. <v Speaker 1>The fact that you got the call from the Sheriff's <v Speaker 1>department saying that there was someone out on the loose, <v Speaker 1>a fugitive or some type of suspect, and then you <v Speaker 1>see these beings or creatures outside of the house that <v Speaker 1>star because you don't know if you know, there's someone <v Speaker 1>bad out there with bad intentions, and then you realize <v Speaker 1>that whatever's out there is human like, but it's some <v Speaker 1>type of creature. <v Speaker 3>That's That's the one thing that's always thrown me off <v Speaker 3>was that thinking back was like that phone call was timed. <v Speaker 3>Like I almost wanted to go back and look at <v Speaker 3>their phone records, you know what I mean, like to <v Speaker 3>see where that phone call came from. You know, I'm <v Speaker 3>not one hundred percent sure, but it's pretty sure it <v Speaker 3>was a recording from the local sheriff's department, you know. <v Speaker 3>And you know what, did somebody see something and call <v Speaker 3>in and say, hey, we've got some prowler in our <v Speaker 3>yard or something, And maybe that's why the call went <v Speaker 3>out to neighbors. I don't know. It just the whole thing, <v Speaker 3>the whole the whole thing was crazy, you know. And <v Speaker 3>then you know, like but I could I knew, I <v Speaker 3>knew everything was real when I saw the indentations in <v Speaker 3>the ground after the next morning, you know where you know, <v Speaker 3>it wasn't just because it was so fast. I was like, <v Speaker 3>did I really just see somebody dive off that fourteen <v Speaker 3>foot deck, you know, and that I was I convinced <v Speaker 3>myself the next morning when I saw in the earth <v Speaker 3>like where it landed, you know, and then you know <v Speaker 3>the other things was like I you know, I wish, <v Speaker 3>my wish my dad was more of sound mind at <v Speaker 3>the time, because he would have corroborated at least for me, <v Speaker 3>you know. But I had this feeling the whole weekend <v Speaker 3>that I saw something I wasn't supposed to see. I'm Catholic. <v Speaker 3>I was brought up in the church, CITCD, Sunday School, <v Speaker 3>all the sacraments, you know, and I kept getting this <v Speaker 3>gut feeling something telling me that what I saw I <v Speaker 3>was not supposed to see. And I'll just leave it <v Speaker 3>at that. And it bothered me, man, for weeks. Man, <v Speaker 3>I'd be sleeping in my work truck, have to keep <v Speaker 3>the lights on in the work truck. There was a <v Speaker 3>couple of times I had to sleep in these at <v Speaker 3>the shipper or at the receiver on the property where <v Speaker 3>there was nobody else around, and I'm like, I felt <v Speaker 3>like a little kid. I was scared, you know, scared <v Speaker 3>to you know lot, man, just thinking about it. It <v Speaker 3>took a while for that to go away, you know, <v Speaker 3>and then trying to explain this, like who do you <v Speaker 3>I love my wife, but she was worried. She thought <v Speaker 3>I was just overstressed because of my mom and my dad. <v Speaker 3>You know. She was until I was able to convince <v Speaker 3>her with a few crappy photos that I got. You know, <v Speaker 3>she was really concerned for me. You know. I wasn't eating, <v Speaker 3>I wasn't sleeping. I was a mess man, and talking <v Speaker 3>about it like it's you'd all back up again. But <v Speaker 3>people need to know about this, man, People need to <v Speaker 3>know that there's some crazy. There's some things out there <v Speaker 3>that just you know, I mean, I hope nobody else <v Speaker 3>runs into. But I've been hunting since I was twelve <v Speaker 3>years old with my dad, even before I had a license. <v Speaker 3>I would go with them, you know, and we've never <v Speaker 3>even thought about anything like this being around, you know. <v Speaker 3>And then you hear all these crazy stories about missing <v Speaker 3>people and and and people running into these things, and <v Speaker 3>you you know, and then you get a little taste <v Speaker 3>of it for yourself, and you're like, oh, you know, <v Speaker 3>this this is real and it's you know, it's a <v Speaker 3>hard pill to swallow, man, you know. And to try <v Speaker 3>to explain that to your loved ones, the people who <v Speaker 3>really care about you, that you're not crazy, that that <v Speaker 3>was the hardest thing I wrestled with, you know, like, <v Speaker 3>like what's wrong, what's wrong? Why are you like this? <v Speaker 3>Why are you, you know, like you know what's wrong <v Speaker 3>and you try to tell them and they don't believe you, <v Speaker 3>you know, So I. <v Speaker 1>Mean, yeah, absolutely, it's hard to digest this type of <v Speaker 1>information unless you're really open minded or you've had experiences <v Speaker 1>yourself and you know that's the thing. There are cryptive <v Speaker 1>creatures out there, UFOs, aliens, the paranormal exists, but if <v Speaker 1>you've never experienced anything like this, you can't really relate. <v Speaker 1>I mean, it would be like, I don't know, some <v Speaker 1>tribal people in a third world country seeing to be <v Speaker 1>two bomb or fly over them. They have no idea <v Speaker 1>what they just saw, but that that plane has a purpose. <v Speaker 1>You know, there's a whole plan behind it, but we <v Speaker 1>just don't know seeing it from the other end, and <v Speaker 1>it makes me wonder like maybe law enforcements saw like <v Speaker 1>a clan of Sasquatch, or they know that they've been <v Speaker 1>in the area terrorizing people, and they knew that they <v Speaker 1>were out that night and they made the call to <v Speaker 1>keep people inside, so they didn't see these things. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>I mean, there's a lot of questions that will pop <v Speaker 1>up into your mind when you know there's a lot <v Speaker 1>of scenarios that could play out. <v Speaker 3>There, right and then but I've rolled that, I've rolled <v Speaker 3>that around in my mind. Just it's just like you <v Speaker 3>just said, man, and uh, you know, like especially a <v Speaker 3>small town like it was, you know, with a limited <v Speaker 3>you know, department and everything, like everybody's you know, I <v Speaker 3>don't know, it's it's crazy, man. But the coincidence of <v Speaker 3>that phone call and then literally immediately like as I <v Speaker 3>flipped the light on, feeling that the ground shift, I <v Speaker 3>saw something fly off the deck was just like just <v Speaker 3>you know, thinking back on it, and then everything else <v Speaker 3>that happened with the slap on the side of the <v Speaker 3>roof and then the things that I that I saw <v Speaker 3>that I tried to catch on camera, you know, like <v Speaker 3>I didn't think anybody was going to believe me. And <v Speaker 3>I can imagine you're living out there, you know, and <v Speaker 3>the neighbors are not like close by or anything, so <v Speaker 3>you know, like I mean, you know, if you see something, <v Speaker 3>you try to tell your neighbors, what are they going <v Speaker 3>to think? You know, Like, I don't know, it's kind <v Speaker 3>of it's a hard time. It's a hard subject to <v Speaker 3>bring up, you know, especially you don't want your neighbors <v Speaker 3>thinking something about you, like you know, like this person <v Speaker 3>seeing things or something like that. It's it's wild, man, <v Speaker 3>it's wild. But you know, I finally probably got my <v Speaker 3>wife to believe me and you know, to trust that <v Speaker 3>I wasn't just overly stressed with I mean, at that time, <v Speaker 3>we knew my mom was unlimited time, you know, and <v Speaker 3>there was a great deal of emotional stress and a <v Speaker 3>great deal of you know, fear as to what was <v Speaker 3>the future was going to be for my dad as well, <v Speaker 3>because my mom was caring for my dad. You know, <v Speaker 3>my dad is still alive, he's he's an assistant living still, <v Speaker 3>but he's he's really bad. You know what the menshit <v Speaker 3>at this point is now for you almost four years later. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, I'm sorry you had to go through that, <v Speaker 1>and I'm sure that was a difficult time in your <v Speaker 1>life and it still is. So I can only imagine. <v Speaker 1>It seems like people have these experiences before something serious <v Speaker 1>happens in their life, and I don't know why. I mean, <v Speaker 1>it's possibly a coincidence, but that's what I've noticed a <v Speaker 1>lot of times people see like a sasquatch or experience <v Speaker 1>paranormal activity before something huge happens in their life. <v Speaker 3>A big change, I'm going to go out on a <v Speaker 3>limb in and like I'm not. I'm not gonna say <v Speaker 3>for one hundred percent sure that there was like missing <v Speaker 3>time throughout that weekend. But there's a lot of that <v Speaker 3>weekend that I can't put together frame by frame. And <v Speaker 3>I remember thinking while all this was happening, and while <v Speaker 3>I was seeing these things, like I was literally in <v Speaker 3>my basement with a spotting scope, like searching the woods <v Speaker 3>and seeing these things, like I told you, like what <v Speaker 3>looked to be like cloaked like beings and stuff like that. <v Speaker 3>And and the whole time I was thinking, like this <v Speaker 3>is so this whole sense of something spiritual like with <v Speaker 3>my you know, with my mom, you know, is are <v Speaker 3>these things waiting for my mom to pass? You know? <v Speaker 3>Or something something really like it really hit me like strong, <v Speaker 3>like this is something beyond like what we normally comprehend, <v Speaker 3>you know, like these things aren't just here from no reason, <v Speaker 3>you know, And I don't know. I guess, well we'll <v Speaker 3>find out one day, you know, hobably when it's our time, <v Speaker 3>you know. Yeah, man, crazy experience. Man I left when <v Speaker 3>we sold that property. I used to have to go <v Speaker 3>there and cut the grass and I would not stay <v Speaker 3>there after dark, and you know, i'd stay at my <v Speaker 3>uh my now wife's her house, or I refuse to <v Speaker 3>sleep there by myself in that home again. I left, <v Speaker 3>like really really nice tree stands in those woods. I <v Speaker 3>refuse to go get them, like I would not step <v Speaker 3>foot in those woods again, you know, after after that experience, <v Speaker 3>and you know, it's something I'll never forget. And I've <v Speaker 3>I've told my steps on about it. He's really interested <v Speaker 3>in the subject, you know, and I've showed him what <v Speaker 3>I the best, the best photos of what I what <v Speaker 3>I could get, you know, and you can share those <v Speaker 3>if you want, if you feel they're worth worthwhile. I've <v Speaker 3>shown them to some people. Some people say that's just <v Speaker 3>a shadow. Some people say, oh, I see it. So <v Speaker 3>I mean, I'll leave that up to you, you know, <v Speaker 3>but but uh yeah, man, I mean. <v Speaker 1>Crazy, yeah, and then it'll tank the forest once you <v Speaker 1>see something like that in the area. And you showed <v Speaker 1>me a photo of the home. That's a beautiful home. <v Speaker 1>I mean, that's a dream home for any American. That's <v Speaker 1>like the ultimate goal for most people to get something <v Speaker 1>that nice. And yeah, you can see that there's dense <v Speaker 1>forest behind it. And it makes sense why they would <v Speaker 1>be there. And I've heard the description a lot that <v Speaker 1>it looked like somebody in coveralls and were in a <v Speaker 1>gilly suit. And yeah, that same description keeps popping up <v Speaker 1>over and over. And actually heard somebody that it's a <v Speaker 1>YouTube channel that I watched called the Hunting Public. This <v Speaker 1>was a few years ago, but they were deep in <v Speaker 1>the Ozarks in Arkansas, and one of the guys was like, <v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure I saw what looked like a big <v Speaker 1>African American and coveralls run across the road. And he <v Speaker 1>just kind of shook his head. That's all they said. <v Speaker 1>But I was like, that's weird because they were filming <v Speaker 1>when they were driving down that county road and they <v Speaker 1>even mentioned there's no houses for miles and miles, and <v Speaker 1>I was just like, oh, I bet, I know that <v Speaker 1>was right. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I could see how it could easily be, I mean, <v Speaker 3>especially at a quick glance or something, it could easily <v Speaker 3>appear to be like just a person in a you know, <v Speaker 3>you know, jumpsuit or a hunting suit, you know, over <v Speaker 3>a gilly suit. You know. Easily I could see how that, <v Speaker 3>you know, I mean, especially when you see it just <v Speaker 3>real quick, you know. I mean, if if you're not <v Speaker 3>if you don't have something like a like the forest <v Speaker 3>people on your mind, or if you're not aware of <v Speaker 3>something that that could that's even even that could even <v Speaker 3>be a possibility, then to you it's just, oh, man, <v Speaker 3>what's that guy doing out here? You know, like I <v Speaker 3>could totally see that because what what gave it away <v Speaker 3>to me? And I keep going back to the knee. <v Speaker 3>I know I emphasized that a lot, but the there <v Speaker 3>was a lot of you can see the hair was <v Speaker 3>covering ninety nine percent of it, but you could see <v Speaker 3>on the knee. You could see the scabs and scars, <v Speaker 3>and that's how I knew, like from you know, I <v Speaker 3>mean twenty yards sixty feet, it's not that far. And <v Speaker 3>I had a last nice bright light on this thing, man, <v Speaker 3>and it did not move. If it was a person <v Speaker 3>with a rifle pointed at it, it would have said something, <v Speaker 3>you know, like that's all I kept going back to, <v Speaker 3>and it would have responded in some way. <v Speaker 2>You know, why didn't you take a shot, man, dude? <v Speaker 3>Just the fear of thinking, like there's another one that <v Speaker 3>I just saw to the left of me, The fear <v Speaker 3>of what if this is some kind of suit, you <v Speaker 3>know what I mean, Like it just kept going through <v Speaker 3>my head and then yeah, I mean like I really <v Speaker 3>just wanted to get out of there, like my you know, <v Speaker 3>and you never want to shoot something if you're not <v Speaker 3>one hundred percent sure what it is, you know, And <v Speaker 3>it didn't. If it would have jumped out or or <v Speaker 3>screened it, there's probably that could have gone a million <v Speaker 3>different ways, you know what I mean at that moment, <v Speaker 3>But there was a good four or five seconds where <v Speaker 3>I'm lighting this thing up twenty yards from me, and <v Speaker 3>it just it did not budge, you know. And then <v Speaker 3>I also, if you remember, I had the other one <v Speaker 3>that I just saw, the one with the black, long <v Speaker 3>black hair. I'm talking like eight to nine inch draped <v Speaker 3>hair off of its forearms and underneath its triceps, you know, <v Speaker 3>like and the skin was like I know people say <v Speaker 3>it all the time, but a battleship gray, like you know, <v Speaker 3>I'm like it was. That thing was forty yards to <v Speaker 3>the left. I just I just backtracked from that thing, <v Speaker 3>and now I'm just looking at a different thing. And <v Speaker 3>all I want to do is get a you know, <v Speaker 3>get away from it. But I don't know, man, I've <v Speaker 3>thought about that too, Like what would have happened if <v Speaker 3>I would have of pull the trigger? <v Speaker 2>You know, yeah, I don't blame you. <v Speaker 1>You never know what if that was like swat shame <v Speaker 1>or FBI back there and like gilly suits and stuff. <v Speaker 1>How big was the creature that you could see, like <v Speaker 1>the knee and the scars and the hair, how big <v Speaker 1>do you do you estimate it to be? <v Speaker 3>The second one that had the lighter color, the lighter <v Speaker 3>color skin was just like a little bit bigger than <v Speaker 3>a person. But the first one that I saw that <v Speaker 3>was clung to the tree and I saw the inside <v Speaker 3>of its right arm as it reached up to grab <v Speaker 3>onto a branch. That arm and that body was way <v Speaker 3>bigger than a person, like you know, like just the <v Speaker 3>length of that arm was like twice the size of <v Speaker 3>a person. The second one that I saw that was <v Speaker 3>perched up in the tree, I would say one point <v Speaker 3>five times what a person. The shoulders were way too <v Speaker 3>wide for I mean, you know. <v Speaker 2>That it. <v Speaker 3>Could have been the one of the biggest, biggest people <v Speaker 3>that you've that you've run into, you know, like that <v Speaker 3>we that we see on a daily basis. But because <v Speaker 3>of the position that was in, it was in like <v Speaker 3>a seated position. You know. The only thing I could <v Speaker 3>go by was the width of the shoulders, and then <v Speaker 3>I could barely make out, like the tip of his <v Speaker 3>the nose, and it from from my memory, it appeared <v Speaker 3>like the nose was way super wide, like from the <v Speaker 3>bottom part of the nostrils that I could see, they <v Speaker 3>seemed super wide. And and like I said, I thought <v Speaker 3>I thought it was a person at first, And then <v Speaker 3>what gave it away to me was I could see <v Speaker 3>the skin through through the hair on the knee. On <v Speaker 3>the knee again, and it was partially obscured with branches <v Speaker 3>and stuff like that, so I couldn't see hands or <v Speaker 3>feet or anything like that. But no thing that I mean, Scott, <v Speaker 3>you got a bright light in your face. You know, <v Speaker 3>like even if it was like, let's say, some kind <v Speaker 3>of swat officer or something, they would have said something, right, <v Speaker 3>wouldn't you think? <v Speaker 2>I don't know for sure. <v Speaker 3>I mean, like my dad's a cop or he's you know, <v Speaker 3>he was a retired cop. I can't imagine somebody pointing <v Speaker 3>a rifle at you, Like you wouldn't say, okay, you <v Speaker 3>got me, Okay, you know, put that down. It's just <v Speaker 3>me or something I don't know, like I was trying <v Speaker 3>to get a response, and I feel like it's so <v Speaker 3>stupid what I said, But I literally as I as <v Speaker 3>I was backing up off of it for the I <v Speaker 3>feel like what was probably about three seconds of just <v Speaker 3>lighting this thing up. And I don't know exactly what <v Speaker 3>I said, but I know the words I said. When <v Speaker 3>I turned around, I was like, we mean you no harm. <v Speaker 3>And I know it sounds so stupid, like you know, <v Speaker 3>but like that in my mind, that's how like I mean, <v Speaker 3>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>Your gut will speak to you. Maybe that was the <v Speaker 1>best thing to do in the moment. And they say <v Speaker 1>these things can kind of raid you, So I think <v Speaker 1>that was a good idea. And yeah, what's helped you <v Speaker 1>out the most to cope with these experiences and gain <v Speaker 1>some understanding, Like what's helped you out the most throughout <v Speaker 1>your journey after these encounters? <v Speaker 3>Uh, honestly, man, Like it's something to me that I'll <v Speaker 3>I don't think i'll ever get over the fear of <v Speaker 3>going back in the woods after this. I'll always have <v Speaker 3>like this fear of But I'll be honest with you, Miguel, <v Speaker 3>Like listening to you, listening to other people. Man, it <v Speaker 3>makes you feel like you're not alone, dude. You know, <v Speaker 3>like I've always been interested in the subject, you know, <v Speaker 3>Like I remember listening to Sasquatch Chronicles as one of <v Speaker 3>the first like shows I would listen to because I'm <v Speaker 3>a trick to I'm driving all the time. I like. <v Speaker 3>I like paranormal stuff. I like listening to it. I <v Speaker 3>like hearing people's stories, and I know that not everybody <v Speaker 3>who's telling these they're not lying. You know, there's no <v Speaker 3>way that all these people are just making sit up <v Speaker 3>or seeing Sorry for my language, but you know there's <v Speaker 3>there's you know, and then for I mean, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>And now what's what helps me out too is hearing <v Speaker 3>these kind of crossovers between like, hey, I saw this <v Speaker 3>what I believe to be a forest person, but there <v Speaker 3>was also a paranormal side to it too, because that's <v Speaker 3>kind of what I believe happened to me with these <v Speaker 3>cloak beings and then this man, this green thing that <v Speaker 3>I saw. I'm almost like afraid to like even speak <v Speaker 3>of it, you know, because I feel like the gesture <v Speaker 3>that it made, like I'm watching you like that that dude, <v Speaker 3>you know, it creeps me out. <v Speaker 1>You know, there's a lot out there, more than just <v Speaker 1>Sasquatch and even dog Man. I mean there's things like <v Speaker 1>the Kentucky Goblin, Pudgwalkies. I mean there's there's a yeah <v Speaker 1>little people there. There's a lot to it. And I <v Speaker 1>don't know, Like when I go to church because I'm <v Speaker 1>Catholic too, and I'm sitting there, it's it's tough for <v Speaker 1>me just to understand like the parables that Jesus said <v Speaker 1>in the Bible, and you know, I'm sitting there wondering <v Speaker 1>about like, let's say, like a failed relationship that I had, <v Speaker 1>or why a family member of mine has cancer. And <v Speaker 1>I'm trying to put all this together, and I think, man, <v Speaker 1>I've had bigfoot encounters, I've seen an alien, I've seen UFOs, <v Speaker 1>I've had a ton of paranormal experiences. I'm pretty sure <v Speaker 1>I've heard a dog man and I've seen a hell hound. <v Speaker 1>And I'm sitting in church just like wondering, like, man, <v Speaker 1>just like a failed relationship that that's really hard to understand, <v Speaker 1>you know, Like you know a lot of people say <v Speaker 1>this to themselves, like I don't understand. I don't understand. <v Speaker 1>It's just like when you see all this. It's just <v Speaker 1>like a whole other level and I just feel isolated <v Speaker 1>all the time. And I don't know, it's it's it's <v Speaker 1>a horrible thing to go to go through. I guess, <v Speaker 1>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, no, I totally agree. Like I said, the hardest <v Speaker 3>part for me was trying to tell like family members <v Speaker 3>in my wife like like what, like, you know, why <v Speaker 3>I haven't eaten in three days after this, you know, <v Speaker 3>and like why I'm like acting the way I'm acting <v Speaker 3>and you know, and man, dude, that doubt sets in <v Speaker 3>and it's like did I you know so? <v Speaker 1>But your brain will try to trick you to and <v Speaker 1>say you didn't see that, But then you have to <v Speaker 1>remind yourself like, oh crap, that really did happen. And <v Speaker 1>it's almost like, you know, like when you wake up <v Speaker 1>from a nightmare and it's just like, oh, that was <v Speaker 1>a nightmare. But let's say like if a family member passes, <v Speaker 1>you wake up and you're like that wasn't real, and <v Speaker 1>you're like, oh, wait, that that is real. <v Speaker 3>That does happen. Yeah, yeah, no, I mean that's that's yeah, <v Speaker 3>that's a good way to put it, man, absolutely, But yeah, <v Speaker 3>that was just bringing it all back up right now? Man? <v Speaker 3>Is is uh, it's it's you know, I could tell <v Speaker 3>my breathing has changed and everything. It's like you know, <v Speaker 3>like I, like I said, I keep going back to <v Speaker 3>that that thought, Like I've like you're not supposed to <v Speaker 3>see this, you know, like like you saw something you're <v Speaker 3>not supposed to see. And that's always stuck with me <v Speaker 3>since this happened. You know. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's like a crypto paranormal PTSD, Like once you <v Speaker 1>start talking about it, you you relive it in the moment, Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Dude, And like and I'm almost afraid, like I'm crazy, <v Speaker 3>but like I don't want to bring this back towards <v Speaker 3>me in any direction or any way, you know, like <v Speaker 3>if these things are, I mean, who knows, man, you know, <v Speaker 3>like we I feel like we we we don't know <v Speaker 3>like half of what's going on. Man, Like there's things <v Speaker 3>that we don't we're not supposed to know in a way. <v Speaker 3>I feel like, you know, like when you think about <v Speaker 3>dimensions and portals and all this wild stuff that they're <v Speaker 3>finally starting to prove on on certain levels, you know, <v Speaker 3>and and you know how energy works and stuff like that, <v Speaker 3>it's like what you know, like it'll it blows my mind. <v Speaker 3>I love learning about stuff like this, and I love <v Speaker 3>listening to other people's encounters. You know, I wish I <v Speaker 3>could say that that my Catholic faith, although it is <v Speaker 3>very strong, I'm not I'm not practicing like going to <v Speaker 3>church and you know, involved in the you know, the <v Speaker 3>Bible study groups like I used to be and stuff <v Speaker 3>like that. But but I do have what I like <v Speaker 3>to consider a very personal relationship with with my God, <v Speaker 3>you know. You know, I think I'll just stick to that, <v Speaker 3>you know, because I don't know what religion, what our <v Speaker 3>religion says about things like this. You know, I've never <v Speaker 3>tried to talk to a priests or a pastor about it. <v Speaker 3>It's just I've just been keeping it bottled up. And <v Speaker 3>very few of my close friends and family have ever <v Speaker 3>heard this story before, you know, And it's almost like <v Speaker 3>I feel like I'm not supposed to tell anybody, you know, <v Speaker 3>that's the overwhelming feeling I get. You know. That's why <v Speaker 3>I haven't said anything for this long. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, no, that that's completely understandable. And yeah, I don't <v Speaker 1>know what the church really thinks of these things. Of course, <v Speaker 1>the community, they'll say they're demons. Other people say they're <v Speaker 1>unknown primate species. People say the Naphylon, which could correlate <v Speaker 1>with the demons, But I don't know. I've asked the <v Speaker 1>church that myself and they said, Miguel, really, we don't <v Speaker 1>really know. <v Speaker 2>They're like, we don't know. If it's bad, very good. <v Speaker 3>If I if I was to go back into some <v Speaker 3>of your older stuff, do you talk about your personal <v Speaker 3>encounters with anything? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I got a video I made. It wasn't put <v Speaker 1>together very well, but I do talk about it. I mean, <v Speaker 1>it explains it for the most part. Yeah, I'll send <v Speaker 1>it to you after we get off the phone. And yeah, <v Speaker 1>I definitely understand how you feel, man, and you're not alone. <v Speaker 1>There's a lot of people out there that are experiencing <v Speaker 1>these things. Unfortunately, there's a ton of people who have <v Speaker 1>never experienced anything, and they're pretty close minded, but rightfully so, <v Speaker 1>you know, life's normal every day and for some people, <v Speaker 1>you know, they just seem to experience these things. Were <v Speaker 1>you having any paranormal experiences in the house prior or <v Speaker 1>after the after this encounter that you had or these encounters? <v Speaker 3>Was there anything? God, nothing ever prior? But I've hunted <v Speaker 3>those woods since that house was built. And there's been <v Speaker 3>numerous times, at least three times where I've got gone <v Speaker 3>out to my stand in the dark, climbed up into <v Speaker 3>my stand, and then something told me, like the like <v Speaker 3>the the strongest urge possible was to go back, go <v Speaker 3>to leave the woods, to get out of the stand. <v Speaker 3>And I've never had that happen ever. And I remember, <v Speaker 3>like on two occasions, like before the sun even came up, <v Speaker 3>I'd get in my stand and someone would tell me <v Speaker 3>just you need to leave, you need to get out <v Speaker 3>of here, and I'd climb down and go back in <v Speaker 3>the house, you know. So that happened. And then after <v Speaker 3>this all happened, of course, we had the we made <v Speaker 3>the decision to sell the home. So my sister and <v Speaker 3>I were making trips back and forth, cleaning everything out, <v Speaker 3>cutting the grass, doing the yard sales, making trips to <v Speaker 3>the dump and everything. And there's a few times where <v Speaker 3>I was in the house alone, which I hated being <v Speaker 3>there alone. After this, even in the day, even in <v Speaker 3>the day like broad broad daylight, like you know, I was, <v Speaker 3>I was in the house by myself, and I kept <v Speaker 3>hearing what I thought was something like footsteps walking around <v Speaker 3>after like in the in the room next to me, <v Speaker 3>and and I would be real quiet, and then I'd <v Speaker 3>hear it, and then it would stop, and then I'd <v Speaker 3>start doing what I was doing, and I'd hear like <v Speaker 3>footsteps going across the floor. Again, It's like whoa. And <v Speaker 3>it just kind of you know that. But that's that's <v Speaker 3>the only thing I can really think of off the <v Speaker 3>top of my head, you know, after after all that happened. <v Speaker 1>You know, Yeah, a lot of unsolved mysteries, but you <v Speaker 1>know what you've experienced and that's all that matters. You <v Speaker 1>may not know exactly what it was, but you know <v Speaker 1>it wasn't normal. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, no, And it makes me think, man, you know, <v Speaker 3>it makes you I love I love wondering, you know, <v Speaker 3>like I love like thinking like whoa, what is it? <v Speaker 3>I love trying to put everything together theorize like what <v Speaker 3>does this mean? It was that? You know, what was? <v Speaker 3>What's the bigger picture? You know? And I have my <v Speaker 3>thoughts and I've shared some of them, but you know, <v Speaker 3>like maybe one day we'll all figure it out, you know, <v Speaker 3>But these things I don't. I don't know. I had <v Speaker 3>a thought too, like maybe, like remember I told you <v Speaker 3>about like how I thought maybe these uh, these green <v Speaker 3>things take the sasquatch or whatever. <v Speaker 5>Like I was like, maybe maybe the night that I <v Speaker 5>saw those, maybe like these other things like what I <v Speaker 5>thought to be hooded beings or this this green thing <v Speaker 5>I talked about, maybe that came after looking for these things, <v Speaker 5>looking for the two sasquatches. <v Speaker 3>So I don't know, you know, and I'd love to <v Speaker 3>learn more about that. Like I've I've heard people talk <v Speaker 3>about saying, oh, the green the green people took them, <v Speaker 3>you know, like that's been on my mind since that <v Speaker 3>That's what originally made me write to you, because I <v Speaker 3>know one of your other somebody else on your podcast <v Speaker 3>had mentioned it. So that kind of you know, you know, <v Speaker 3>made me think. <v Speaker 1>So oh yeah, absolutely, And it blows my mind in <v Speaker 1>this day and age that this is still an unsolved mystery. <v Speaker 1>And you know, I think back to like Albert Einstein's <v Speaker 1>theory of gravity, explaining gravity as it warps the curving <v Speaker 1>in space and time. I mean, like, how did he <v Speaker 1>know this in the early nineteen hundreds, and like we <v Speaker 1>still can't figure out the cryptid subject today. It's like <v Speaker 1>how do you how does he know all that and <v Speaker 1>all that's out in the universe, out in space and <v Speaker 1>we just can't figure this out. It's like, what the <v Speaker 1>heck's going on? <v Speaker 3>Man? I think we need to stop looking to authority <v Speaker 3>figures for answers, I really do. I think that some <v Speaker 3>of these questions are going to be solved by the <v Speaker 3>people who put the effort in, and we don't have <v Speaker 3>to necessarily put people on a pedestal and ask them <v Speaker 3>like why is my government not telling me this or whatever. <v Speaker 3>I think we're past that, you know. I think we <v Speaker 3>can pretty much conclude that sometimes others don't have our <v Speaker 3>best interests at play, you know, or in their in <v Speaker 3>their mind when they when they do things that they do. <v Speaker 3>You know, look a look at the waves that the DNA, <v Speaker 3>you know, thing that they did for for Bigfoot. You know, <v Speaker 3>like people pooh pooh that. I mean, like why, I mean, <v Speaker 3>from everything that I've read and listened to about it, <v Speaker 3>it seemed like they did everything they could legitimately, you know. <v Speaker 3>And then it's like there's there's there's a group of <v Speaker 3>people that don't want us to think that these things <v Speaker 3>are real or happening or going on, and you know, <v Speaker 3>like don't believe your eyes. It's it's like they're telling <v Speaker 3>us like, don't believe what you you know, what you <v Speaker 3>see like right in front of you. <v Speaker 2>You know, yeah, that's for sure. <v Speaker 1>I mean I feel like all it would take is <v Speaker 1>for somebody to go out there at the camera film <v Speaker 1>these things and it's you know, it's solved. And that's <v Speaker 1>exactly what happened with the Patterson footage. But still people <v Speaker 1>are doubting. But like if somebody was at a crime <v Speaker 1>scene and maybe they didn't even find any DNA of <v Speaker 1>that person, but they were just a suspect, sometimes that's <v Speaker 1>enough for them to be put behind bars for the <v Speaker 1>rest of their life. And it happens quite often, Like <v Speaker 1>people go to prison for something they didn't even do. <v Speaker 1>So why is it that somebody can go out there <v Speaker 1>and actually film one of these creatures. It's pretty darn <v Speaker 1>clear for it being shot in the sixties and it <v Speaker 1>not be proof, But somebody can go to prison for <v Speaker 1>their entire life for something they didn't even do. Like, <v Speaker 1>how's that enough? <v Speaker 3>That doesn't even have to and it doesn't even have <v Speaker 3>to be filmed. It's just the eyewitness account and it <v Speaker 3>could put somebody away, you. <v Speaker 2>Know, oh yeah he said, she said, and you're you're <v Speaker 2>done for life. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, man, uh, you do great work. Man, keep it up. <v Speaker 2>You know, I appreciate it. <v Speaker 3>I like, like listening to your show man, try to <v Speaker 3>catch them as soon as they come out. So I <v Speaker 3>appreciate you taking the time to listen to my stupid story. <v Speaker 3>You know. <v Speaker 1>No, it wasn't stupid. And speaking to people like yourself <v Speaker 1>is what makes me feel live. It's therapeutic. It reaffirms <v Speaker 1>what I've encountered, and it just makes me feel live. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, no, you're I mean, I think you're doing a <v Speaker 3>good service man, you know, and I like the way <v Speaker 3>you go about it, So I appreciate it. <v Speaker 1>Man, Well, I appreciate you. And yeah, I'm gonna let <v Speaker 1>you go for now. If you encounter anything else in <v Speaker 1>the future, definitely feel free to reach out to me. <v Speaker 1>And I think you might. I hope you don't, but <v Speaker 1>I think you will. <v Speaker 3>Well, if I don't go back in the woods, you know. <v Speaker 3>You know, I'm kind of hoping that won't happen. But <v Speaker 3>I mean, I used I love I love hiking, I <v Speaker 3>love being in the woods, man, and like this, this <v Speaker 3>ruined it for me. You know, I've got equipment. I <v Speaker 3>love bow hunting. Bow Hunting was my thing and I <v Speaker 3>just can't. I can't do it. I can't do it anymore. <v Speaker 3>You know, I haven't. I haven't sit in a tree <v Speaker 3>standing in four years, man, And I get the urge, <v Speaker 3>and then I always weasel my way out of you know, <v Speaker 3>talk my way out of it, you know. <v Speaker 1>So oh yeah, it takes away the thrill of the hunt, <v Speaker 1>and all of a sudden you just lose interest in <v Speaker 1>doing it because you know what's out there. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, nope, thanks a letting me go. <v Speaker 1>Yep, thank you, Anthony, and I appreciate everything. You have <v Speaker 1>an excellent day, and you'd be safe out there. Okay, okay, man, <v Speaker 1>take care, yeah, take care. Thank you all for joining <v Speaker 1>me on this un suddenly journey into the Virginia woods. <v Speaker 1>Anthony's story reminds us that sometimes the things lurking just <v Speaker 1>beyond the porch light aren't meant to be understood, only respected. <v Speaker 1>Out there in the dark, in the trees above us, <v Speaker 1>and in the silence around our homes, we truly never <v Speaker 1>know what's watching. If you've had an encounter of your own, <v Speaker 1>reach out and share it at Sasquatch Theory at outlook <v Speaker 1>dot com. Your story might be the next one we <v Speaker 1>bring into the light until the next time. Keep your <v Speaker 1>fire burning, keep your senses sharp, and don't look away <v Speaker 1>from the things that look back.
