Merav Rosenberg 00:01:43 Thank you so much for having me. Merav Rosenberg 00:01:45 Shelly and Kathy, I'm very, very happy to be here and thank you for doing all this amazing work. Shelly Johnson 00:01:52 Well, thank you. Shelly Johnson 00:01:52 And we're excited. Shelly Johnson 00:01:53 Oh my goodness. Shelly Johnson 00:01:54 Merav, you know, you've got some serious perspectives. Shelly Johnson 00:01:57 We want to know more about what has driven you to evolve the way you have. Shelly Johnson 00:02:02 I mean, this is super impressive. Shelly Johnson 00:02:03 Tell us about yourself. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:05 So I'm 42 and I think it's an important part because I have two 16 year olds, twins, boy and a girl, where I think is very, very challenging. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:17 And I'm enjoying my time. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:19 Alas, at this time, I have a 10 year old. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:24 I think that I've always wanted to be a mother. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:27 And I was born in Israel. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:31 I was religious, Jewish, religious, Orthodox, living in Jerusalem. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:38 And at a very young age, my father, who was a diplomat from the Ministry of Finance, got relocated to New York City. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:47 So from Little Israel, we moved to New York City when I was 7, did not know anybody and obviously it was an amazing experience. Merav Rosenberg 00:02:58 However, my father died in a tragic car accident when I was 10. Shelly Johnson 00:03:04 Oh, so sorry. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:06 Thank you. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:08 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:09 I think as a child learning that, you know, your father will not be in your life Anymore had triggered something in me. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:21 And I really feel like that was the first time probably where you. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:27 You are old enough to make a choice. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:30 You're old enough to make a choice, whether it is that you are going to take this tragedy and really be a victim and say, oh my God, this happened to me, or that you can take a tragedy like this and say, okay, it's very sad what happened, but how do I move on from this? Merav Rosenberg 00:03:54 And I call this a moment of choice. Merav Rosenberg 00:03:59 I say this a lot in many of the things that I have dealt with along in my life. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:05 But there is a moment where something really big happens. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:09 And today I don't even call it bad or good, but something happens, and then you have a choice. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:16 You have a choice to choose. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:19 Joy. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:20 Whatever the problem was, whatever happened to you, you still have a choice. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:27 Will it be difficult? Merav Rosenberg 00:04:29 Yes. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:30 Will it be sad? Merav Rosenberg 00:04:31 Oh, my God. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:33 And it never, I think, ends being sad, but I think that you have a choice. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:39 And when we talked about the fact that, you know, ballsy, I think it's unfortunately a manly term, but it's kind of okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:04:51 Being a person that chooses very easily is a trait that most people give to men. Shelly Johnson 00:04:59 Yes, ma'am. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:01 Men choose easier than women usually. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:06 So I think, like, from a very young age, I knew that I had to make choices. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:11 I knew that I had to make decisions, and that's what we did. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:16 And I think I've always seen my mom as. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:20 As someone who also makes decisions very easily, is someone who has always been a career woman. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:29 And I did see that, you know, you have a lot of strength for making your own choices. Merav Rosenberg 00:05:36 And so at that point of time, I think that's when I realized that there is a difference between what you choose and what you get to have in your life when making choices like that. Shelly Johnson 00:05:53 Why do you think men make choices more easily than women? Merav Rosenberg 00:05:58 Well, I think initially they're giving more confidence than women since, like, forever. Merav Rosenberg 00:06:08 You know, Like, I really feel that if we look at history, right, and if we have stories in our mind that we do, then we can definitely see that men are given more responsibility. Merav Rosenberg 00:06:24 I mean, look at America. Merav Rosenberg 00:06:27 If there ever is a choice between a man and a woman, it doesn't really matter who it will be. Merav Rosenberg 00:06:34 They usually choose men. Merav Rosenberg 00:06:36 And I think that choice given over and over and over again does. Merav Rosenberg 00:06:41 Cause I think self confidence with every woman, especially with women who are raising women. Shelly Johnson 00:06:50 Very true. Shelly Johnson 00:06:51 And you know, even if it isn't talked about, it's this underlying knowledge or thought, the cultural inclination to favor Men, I mean, as a little girl, girls see this, you know, it's. Shelly Johnson 00:07:04 It's all conditioned, isn't it? Merav Rosenberg 00:07:07 It is conditioned. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:08 And I think that I must say about me that the power does not interest me. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:16 I'm not a very competitive person. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:19 I'm more friendly, loving, want a lot of people to be happy, kind of a healer, service provider person. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:32 And I think that power does not interest me at all. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:35 It doesn't make me tick. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:37 It doesn't. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:38 And I think that men specifically do have that kind of sense and with that kind of take that power in their hands. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:47 And I think we just somehow during history, we gave it to them. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:54 I don't know how. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:55 I don't know how. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:57 But we did. Merav Rosenberg 00:07:58 But we did. Shelly Johnson 00:07:59 Yes. Shelly Johnson 00:08:00 Very patriarchal. Shelly Johnson 00:08:01 Patron. Shelly Johnson 00:08:02 Linear, if you will. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:03 Exactly. Shelly Johnson 00:08:04 Yep. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:05 And I think that this is our time. Shelly Johnson 00:08:08 Amen to that. Shelly Johnson 00:08:09 So do we. Shelly Johnson 00:08:11 Onward, onward we ride, Right? Shelly Johnson 00:08:14 Absolutely. Shelly Johnson 00:08:15 So you were able Merov, you had some serious tragedy at a very early age. Shelly Johnson 00:08:22 And going from Israel to a huge city like New York City. Shelly Johnson 00:08:27 Oh my. Shelly Johnson 00:08:28 You really had to adapt. Shelly Johnson 00:08:30 Do you think that that helped maybe galvanize your goals and give you the strength you needed? Merav Rosenberg 00:08:36 I think. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:37 And I did the same thing, like for my children as well, opening up Paz Agency in New York. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:44 I took. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:45 We. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:46 Obviously after my dad's tragedy, we did move back to Israel. Merav Rosenberg 00:08:50 And I spent many of my childhood and adulthood in Israel, finding my ex husband and having three kids here. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:01 And then I thought to myself that the experience of relocating to such an amazing, amazing city. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:09 And I always say this, I say this to my new fiance. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:14 I say to him, listen, I love you, okay? Merav Rosenberg 00:09:17 Right after my children. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:19 And then it's New York and then it's chatgpt. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:22 Just so that you know that I have like this order and really like now, like I have a new obsession. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:30 ChatGPT. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:31 But it was New York before and, and tomorrow, my love, he's. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:36 He's before those. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:38 But I actually love New York so much and I fell in love with it as a child and I always say it was, it was kind of. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:46 I don't know how it's. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:48 Either you love New York or you. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:50 Or you're like. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:51 Or you don't. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:52 But when you love New York, it's like. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:55 It's like you're cheating. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:57 I. Merav Rosenberg 00:09:57 I really feel that way because it's such a. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:01 It's. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:01 It's. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:01 It's so infatuating. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:03 And that's what I felt as a child. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:06 It was you being in a. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:08 In a place where, where there's so many opportunities and so many choices. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:15 And I love that. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:17 I love having many choices and I love having opportunities. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:21 And I think finding that from a small, small, tiny country and you know, even, even being English is my second language, right? Merav Rosenberg 00:10:30 Hebrew is my first language. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:31 And English is, is a main key to, to, I think, success, especially when you come from such like our country is like 9 million people. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:43 That's it. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:45 And so going into a place with like 300, 400 million people, right? Merav Rosenberg 00:10:51 It's the opportunities multiply. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:54 And I've always been a numbers game. Merav Rosenberg 00:10:56 My father is in economic and I've always been into numbers. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:03 And so you really have to give yourself as many opportunities as you can. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:09 And I think that's what New York symbolizes to me. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:12 And then I took my ex husband and three kids with me on. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:16 On a journey to New York. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:17 And I think that they are different people due to that because the adaptation. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:24 And I think that's what we all, by the way, need, right? Merav Rosenberg 00:11:28 I mean, how do you succeed in life? Merav Rosenberg 00:11:31 The way that you are flexible in your mind, the ways that you adapt to situations and problems and. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:39 Yeah, so from a very young age, I had that kind of lesson, you know, of adapting, adapting to this, adapting to tragedy, adapting to change. Merav Rosenberg 00:11:51 So much change in my life has occurred, and I feel like this has given me optimism. Shelly Johnson 00:12:01 You have some really serious wisdom for 42. Shelly Johnson 00:12:05 A lot of people at 42 still really don't know what they want to do when they grow up. Shelly Johnson 00:12:11 And the fact that you saw opportunity at such a young age, you saw a whole new world. Shelly Johnson 00:12:18 You knew there was more out there, there was more potential, more opportunities. Shelly Johnson 00:12:22 And the fact that you were able to grasp it, that took bravery, tenacity, all of the above. Shelly Johnson 00:12:28 And I love what you're doing in terms of showing women they can do it too. Shelly Johnson 00:12:33 And I love brave, bold and ballsy. Shelly Johnson 00:12:35 I mean, it really. Shelly Johnson 00:12:37 This is powerful. Shelly Johnson 00:12:38 How women can grow a pair and take charge of their dreams. Shelly Johnson 00:12:41 How do they do that? Merav Rosenberg 00:12:43 I think there is a kind of a plan. Merav Rosenberg 00:12:46 And like I said, I'm a numbers woman. Merav Rosenberg 00:12:49 Okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:12:50 Like, I love. Merav Rosenberg 00:12:51 I think that digital marketing, by the way, is a numbers game. Merav Rosenberg 00:12:55 I mean, sales is a numbers game. Merav Rosenberg 00:12:58 I feel like we're all like this whole world is. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:02 Is math okay? Merav Rosenberg 00:13:03 And that's like a very, very spiritual level. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:06 But I feel like we're all just playing a numbers game. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:10 And, and having said that, yes, numbers is kind of a man or a male quality, I believe. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:22 And as soon as you tap in to understanding that this Is just a numbers game. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:28 Meaning, let's give an example. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:31 Okay? Merav Rosenberg 00:13:31 If you are afraid of rejection, which all of us are, all of us are afraid of rejection. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:40 But if you're a person that's afraid of rejection, all you have to do is think of it. Merav Rosenberg 00:13:45 In regards to numbers, if you have, I would say 10, like, I help people, especially, obviously women date, okay? Merav Rosenberg 00:13:57 It's, it's not something that I do professionally, but because I took 60 dates to find my fiance on apps, okay, Which a lot of people hate doing and a lot of people are afraid of rejection. Merav Rosenberg 00:14:14 I usually come up to a lady and I ask her, listen, out of 10 men that you dated, how many said no to you and how many have you said no to them? Merav Rosenberg 00:14:26 And the numbers are almost always the same. Merav Rosenberg 00:14:30 Probably eight of the men that she said no to and two said no to her. Merav Rosenberg 00:14:36 And so if you think of it in regards to numbers, wait, did I actually just get rejected or is this like a normal part of life and it's just a numbers game? Merav Rosenberg 00:14:50 And the way that I look at life is just, okay, I'm gonna try and do this. Merav Rosenberg 00:14:59 I'm gonna see what comes out of it. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:02 I'm not attached to the result of it. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:07 I won't be disappointed or heartbroken. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:10 And I think that's more of a man or a male quality. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:15 And that's why I say ballsy. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:17 And I also have like a very great laid out plan of how I do things. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:24 And I think that takes away of all my thinking that it won't work. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:31 I just have a plan. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:34 I have an Excel sheet, I have a Word document, I have a task list, and I just go by the plan, plan. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:42 And if you go by the plan and you take away, I think the kind of, you know, like feeling of, oh, my God, I'm going to like fail or get rejected, then everything will work out amazingly. Merav Rosenberg 00:15:58 And if you try that three times, I'm sure it's going to be a method for you as well. Merav Rosenberg 00:16:03 And I'm sure, absolutely sure that you're going to see results from what you just did. Merav Rosenberg 00:16:11 So that's kind of my, my way of thinking how I actually help women implement this is by actually giving them out the plan, but this is by, by having to build a business or two, having to do like a US Visa for my, my agency, having so many business plans done for other people. Merav Rosenberg 00:16:38 It was super easy for me to say, okay, what's your goal? Merav Rosenberg 00:16:44 And let's take away the fear of rejection of that goal, and let's have a plan so you think less about the rejection. Shelly Johnson 00:19:16 It's up to you if you decide to be a victim or you take a tragedy and say, it's sad, but how do I move on from this? Shelly Johnson 00:19:25 A moment of choice is what Mayroff calls this. Shelly Johnson 00:19:28 Something happens and you have a choice to choose joy. Shelly Johnson 00:19:32 She believes in choosing joy no matter what. Shelly Johnson 00:19:35 How you succeed in life is how you adapt to situations. Shelly Johnson 00:19:39 It's all a numbers game. Shelly Johnson 00:19:41 You need to Analyze your risk and lay out your plan to win. Shelly Johnson 00:19:45 If you go by your plan, you'll see results. Shelly Johnson 00:19:52 Create a plan where you think less about the rejection and you'll get where you want to go. Shelly Johnson 00:19:57 Mehrov is a highly sought after consultant and speaker who teaches women how to be brave, bold and ballsy. Shelly Johnson 00:20:05 She gives them back their power. Shelly Johnson 00:20:16 She helps businesses unlock their potential and digital presence. Shelly Johnson 00:20:20 With over 17 years of digital marketing, design and business, Merov's mission is clear. Shelly Johnson 00:20:26 To show women they're enough just as they are. Shelly Johnson 00:20:30 We're enjoying her powerful insights. Shelly Johnson 00:20:33 Mayroff, your detail about making a plan makes so much sense. Shelly Johnson 00:20:38 It puts us in a more logical mindset. Shelly Johnson 00:20:42 We rule with our head, not our heart. Shelly Johnson 00:20:44 Because a lot of times if you take things emotionally, you're gonna be discouraged. Shelly Johnson 00:20:49 Like you were talking about rejection. Shelly Johnson 00:20:51 If you look at it as a game of odds, a game of numbers, you keep at something, eventually it's gonna be your turn, right? Shelly Johnson 00:20:58 You're gonna win, you're gonna win, you're gonna win. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:01 But you also have to believe that you're gonna win. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:03 And I think that that's the most difficult part. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:07 But like I said, the, the things that take you back are the overthinking, which is totally, totally figureoutable by a really good laid plan. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:23 And like I said, if you think of the world as a numbers game, I think that you would understand. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:29 Like, I have this client, she's a sales, a. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:32 She's like a sales expert. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:34 And she said, I used to work in Australia, right in the carts. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:38 And I, I would, I would write down like how many people said no to me and how many people said yes to me. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:48 So it came to like a place where in the beginning it was one out of six. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:53 So what I thought to myself, all I need to get is another six to have another sale. Merav Rosenberg 00:21:59 So this is exactly, I think, how we should think of life. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:02 It's just how many people do I need to reach out to in order to get what I want? Merav Rosenberg 00:22:10 And you don't know those numbers initially, but as soon as one says yes to you, then you have kind of an understanding. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:21 And I got this, by the way, from the digital marketing world that I do. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:25 I do so many sponsored ads for so many clients, whether it's Facebook or Instagram or Google. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:32 And the only Way that you know if you're doing well is by measuring results. Shelly Johnson 00:22:38 Yep. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:39 Yep. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:40 And. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:41 And as soon as you measure a result, I mean, you're not attached to a creative banner. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:48 I have 20 creative banners that I do for each campaign. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:52 I don't care if one succeeds and one doesn't. Merav Rosenberg 00:22:56 I just want to know what works. Shelly Johnson 00:22:58 Sure. Shelly Johnson 00:22:59 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:00 And. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:01 And I feel like, again, this is unfortunately kind of a ballsy aspect of it, but I had to learn very quickly on. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:11 To be ballsy. Shelly Johnson 00:23:13 Oh, yeah, yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:14 Well. Shelly Johnson 00:23:15 And to open an agency in New York City. Shelly Johnson 00:23:17 That's a very competitive town. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:20 It is. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:21 But I remember everyone asking me, so why are you going to be different? Merav Rosenberg 00:23:28 And I said, well, because I'm me. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:32 And I think that's another. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:34 You came to. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:36 I think the most important part of what I do for women, and I think for. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:43 And this is for women, but I think for all. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:48 But women need. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:50 Need more help in, In. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:53 In understanding how special they really, really are. Merav Rosenberg 00:23:57 I feel like we're like the most special race. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:00 Like, really, seriously. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:01 It's. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:02 It's. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:02 We're. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:03 We're amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:04 We're absolutely amazing. Shelly Johnson 00:24:06 I think so, too. Shelly Johnson 00:24:07 We bring a lot to the table. Shelly Johnson 00:24:09 We really sure do. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:10 You bring light to the table. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:12 Okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:13 Literally. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:16 And. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:16 And I feel like we're super, super special. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:19 And what I really. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:21 This is exactly what I said when I was interviewed for getting a US Visa. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:27 Right. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:28 With my business. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:29 And she asked me there. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:31 It's. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:31 It's very competitive what you do. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:33 There's so many people in your field, and I always say you do not have to be even the best, but you do have to be the nicest. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:44 One of my, My, My kind of mindset, how I work. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:49 But also I said, but there's only one me. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:53 And I think this is the main thing that I tell every woman. Merav Rosenberg 00:24:58 There's only one you. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:00 There will never, ever be anyone like you, Shelley, and anyone like you, Kathy, in the whole entire universe, ever, ever, ever. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:13 And the qualities that you bring in to what you do is the reason that you do what you do. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:22 And I feel like purpose is. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:26 Is. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:27 Is supposed to be easily obtained. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:29 If you're good at something, then there's a reason for. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:34 For it. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:35 And don't, like, downplay it, you know, like showcase it. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:43 Make sure that people understand that that is what you love to do and, And. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:51 And tell everybody about it. Merav Rosenberg 00:25:53 And that's what's going to make you understand who you really are. Shelly Johnson 00:25:59 What do you say to a woman who says, I, I want to do this, but in My particular career field, it's male dominated and the glass ceiling is really thick. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:10 Um, change locations, change a job. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:14 I really would say that. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:16 I know that is super ballsy, but I feel like if someone says that they're not hurting enough. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:24 The reason why I have an agency is because me and my ex husband had a very difficult relationship. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:34 It wasn't, it wasn't a great one starting out. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:38 And I at when my twins were three months old, I was obviously on maternity leave and I couldn't go back to the job that I did because I did want to take care of them and I needed to find a different one. Merav Rosenberg 00:26:54 But it was, we had a very, very bad relationship at the time and having twins did not, I think, help that even more. Merav Rosenberg 00:27:04 But I was in love with my children and I knew that I needed to be financially independent and so I started working in the mornings and at nights just to have the financial freedom that I needed. Merav Rosenberg 00:27:21 And I think that you could always go and do better if you know what you want to do. Merav Rosenberg 00:27:32 So if you have an example, that would be an amazing thing to talk about. Merav Rosenberg 00:27:39 But as for women having so many options, and this is me speaking out of my digital marketing kind of expertise, right. Merav Rosenberg 00:27:50 I have seen so many different women entrepreneurs. Merav Rosenberg 00:27:57 Whether it's interior design, whether it's hr, whether it's female oriented, anything, E commerce, stores, cbd, whatever. Merav Rosenberg 00:28:09 I have seen it all. Merav Rosenberg 00:28:11 And I feel like a lot of people don't know how many options are out there, how many hybrid jobs there are out there, how many people need the expertise that you don't even appreciate about you. Merav Rosenberg 00:28:26 And so what I would do is make a list, a list of all the things that I love to do and a list of all the things that I'm good at, by the way. Merav Rosenberg 00:28:37 They don't have to be, you know, like the same at all. Merav Rosenberg 00:28:41 But I feel like when you go and find something that you're also good at but also love to do, that's where the abundance comes from. Shelly Johnson 00:28:52 That makes sense. Shelly Johnson 00:28:54 I think a lot of people have a hard time identifying that. Shelly Johnson 00:28:57 Even if you ask somebody what do you like about yourself? Shelly Johnson 00:29:00 It's amazing. Shelly Johnson 00:29:01 Especially women hold those shy back, they don't want to, they feel like it's bragging and you gotta like yourself first. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:09 Wow. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:11 This is a story about my little girl. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:14 She's going to be 10 tomorrow actually. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:17 But probably a year ago, after I started healing myself and on a spiritual journey, she came up to me and we used to do five good things before she went to sleep. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:33 Meaning every night before she went to sleep. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:36 And this is due to me picking her up from school, I think in first grade. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:40 And she's saying everything was boring. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:42 I said, no, no, no, no, we're changing this. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:45 You're not telling me everything is boring. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:46 Life is amazing, and you're going to find out how much. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:50 And every night we started to do five good things before she went to sleep. Merav Rosenberg 00:29:55 And one night, and I always started because she always wanted me to start. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:00 And one night I said, well, I worked out in the morning, I ate very well today, very healthy. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:07 I said to her, I had a great meeting with an amazing new client. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:12 And then at number four, I said, and I love myself. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:16 And then she says, mom, you're supposed to love me. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:20 And I said, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:23 Mom has made a huge mistake. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:26 I have to explain to you something before you love me, you love you. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:32 Before I love you, I love me. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:36 And this is right when you go on a plane and there's this. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:42 The, the flight attendant is explaining what happens in case of an emergency, right. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:47 If the oxygen masks comes down, who does she say? Merav Rosenberg 00:30:51 That you have to put it on first. Shelly Johnson 00:30:54 Yourself. Shelly Johnson 00:30:55 Certainly like in the case of a parent, you put it on yourself first so you can help your child. Merav Rosenberg 00:30:59 Yeah, exactly. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:00 And this is exactly the same analogy. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:03 You have to love yourself first. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:07 Otherwise how are you going to love everybody else? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:11 And how are you going to have the space? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:13 How are you going to have the, the how do you know? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:16 It's like Oprah saying, be so full of yourself that you're overflowing. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:20 Right? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:21 And what she means is that you have to love yourself because when you're full and full of love, full of your self love, then all you want to do is love everybody else. Shelly Johnson 00:31:35 That's true. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:36 And there's, and there's obviously the other side of it, right? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:39 When, when you don't have self love and you're hurting, what do you do? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:44 Most people that are hurt? Merav Rosenberg 00:31:46 Those are the people that hurt others. Shelly Johnson 00:31:48 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:49 Not the people who love themselves. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:51 Definitely not the people who love themselves. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:54 They're not the one who do the hurting. Merav Rosenberg 00:31:57 And so one of the things that I would love it is if we teach our children and if we teach, you know, kids at school that self love is the most important thing. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:12 It's the most important thing. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:14 With this we can, we can do so much. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:17 And I think like you asked about a person who is in a place where is male dominated. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:23 Like, like if you don't have a seat in the table, then Go get a different table. Shelly Johnson 00:32:29 I like that. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:30 Thank you. Kathy Tucaro 00:32:31 Yeah, me too. Shelly Johnson 00:32:32 That's a great slogan. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:33 Thank you. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:34 I think I've heard it somewhere, so I'm not taking all the. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:38 But I don't remember where. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:39 But it's a. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:40 It's an amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:41 It's an amazing phrase. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:43 If you don't have a seat at the table, go get your own table. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:47 And I think I did not do this starting out. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:53 I had an amazing woman boss, which is still one of my best friends. Merav Rosenberg 00:32:58 Starting off when I was a market marketing director at a theater hall, that's how I started, kind of my marketing way. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:06 And. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:07 And she was just like an amazing, confident, loving woman who just gave me really so much opportunity to do my own thing. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:19 And when it came time and I had my side business that grew to, you know, like, be way more beneficial than working full time for someone, then I just left just due to that, because I found something that I love and that I'm good at and that I can be of service to other people. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:46 And it was kind of, you know, high, high abundance. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:51 Oh, my God. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:51 I didn't even expect it to be that amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:33:57 The scaling that took a little more planning. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:00 But really, I feel like life is still full of opportunity. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:06 You really have to just make sure that you're ready for it. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:10 And like you said, people don't even like themselves or people don't even know what they want to do. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:15 And I think that's the first thing that people should know. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:18 What is it that you want to do? Merav Rosenberg 00:34:21 You. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:21 And some people, when, when they don't know how to answer that, that's when I ask, what are you good at and what do you love to do? Merav Rosenberg 00:34:28 Even if it's a hobby, what do you love to do? Merav Rosenberg 00:34:31 And I sometimes, most of the time find the correlation between the two. Merav Rosenberg 00:34:37 And then from my, you know, like, fully seen, so many businesses come alive through me, with me offer my expertise of how, how can you do this and that? Merav Rosenberg 00:34:53 What are your first steps? Merav Rosenberg 00:34:55 How do we start the plan? Merav Rosenberg 00:34:57 But it's first understanding that what it is that you want to do, then obviously when you know what you want to do, you'll find those opportunities you didn't even expect. Merav Rosenberg 00:35:08 Just because you're focused on a specific. Shelly Johnson 00:35:11 Goal and that sets you on a path of a passion and purpose when you think about it. Kathy Tucaro 00:35:18 And I think people get lost in the, the illusions that life throws at, at us every single day by all the distractions, especially living in this day and age, as opposed to, you know, myself growing up in the 80s. Kathy Tucaro 00:35:34 And it's so easy to remain in that comfort zone and that, you know, humdrum of everyday life that they forget about what it is they really wanted to begin with and they fall into this routine or get stuck in a rut that they can't seem to get out of. Kathy Tucaro 00:35:52 I use pothole pitfalls quite often because in my talks, because you see those big potholes in the road and you try to avoid them, which is on the road of life. Kathy Tucaro 00:36:05 But sometimes you fall in one and you're like, damn, how do I get out? Kathy Tucaro 00:36:09 How do I do this? Kathy Tucaro 00:36:10 But all it takes is for you to stop and actually reassess your life. Kathy Tucaro 00:36:18 What is it you want? Kathy Tucaro 00:36:20 What is it that you want the most? Kathy Tucaro 00:36:22 And how did I somehow get sidetracked? Kathy Tucaro 00:36:25 I think a lot of personal reflection is key to change. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:31 I completely, completely agree. Shelly Johnson 00:36:34 Well said. Shelly Johnson 00:36:35 Yes. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:35 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:35 Very, very well said. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:37 I think that even if we fall. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:42 Okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:42 Which is. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:43 Is something that I think we're programmed to do, by the way, like, I agreed. Shelly Johnson 00:36:50 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:51 I'm living in one of the most dangerous, I think, places in the world. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:57 Really. Merav Rosenberg 00:36:58 And they keep telling us that, right? Merav Rosenberg 00:37:02 Dude, I know. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:03 Like, I know. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:05 I know where I'm living. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:06 But we have a constant news reminder. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:11 We have constant places showing us how dangerous it is all over the world. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:19 And it would be difficult for me to keep on being so joyful and optimistic if I decided, by the way, decided to look at it. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:32 And sometimes it's inevitable. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:35 But like I said in the beginning of our conversation, there is something that I write in my gratitude notes every morning. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:45 Thank you for choosing joy. Merav Rosenberg 00:37:48 And it's something that I keep on reminding myself because what I do focus on, I can attract and I can magnetized. Merav Rosenberg 00:38:01 And I am making sure that that is what I'm doing. Merav Rosenberg 00:38:06 And so if I fall into a hole, then part of it is learning how to get out of that hole. Merav Rosenberg 00:38:16 And maybe the part of getting out of the hole is something that I will need for the future not to fall in bigger holes. Kathy Tucaro 00:38:27 Yeah, here's something interesting. Kathy Tucaro 00:38:29 I needed a shower curtain, so I just grabbed whatever one that I. Kathy Tucaro 00:38:33 That I found, and I ended up. Kathy Tucaro 00:38:36 I didn't use it as a shower curtain. Kathy Tucaro 00:38:38 It's literally on my wall, sitting right beside me in my office, and it says, find joy in your journey. Kathy Tucaro 00:38:47 So on this shower curtain, what I've done is I've put pictures and gifts and cards and moments of all my travels on my journey that I have found joy in. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:02 And I have messages, I have reminders I have met. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:07 I've traveled the world. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:08 I've seen so many people. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:09 I've done so much that this is my journey. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:13 And this. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:13 On the days that I'm feeling that I'm not making a difference, that I'm not feeling very good personally, I look at my wall and I read these messages, and I look at the happiness and the joy of the people that I've been gifted to be in the presence of, and it really gets me out of my own rut. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:35 It helps catapult me back onto where I need to be and say, all right, woman, that's enough of that. Kathy Tucaro 00:39:40 Get moving. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:42 That's amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:43 It's amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:44 And really, if you think about it, if you didn't have that. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:49 Right, that journey that you did, or. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:51 Or it's not the first time that we fell. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:54 Right. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:54 It's definitely not the first time, but the fact of the matter is that you kept on going. Merav Rosenberg 00:39:59 For you to have this wall, if you would have stayed stuck, then. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:05 Then the wall wouldn't have existed. Kathy Tucaro 00:40:08 That's right. Kathy Tucaro 00:40:09 That's right. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:10 And so, like, I feel like this. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:12 This journey that we all are taking. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:15 And I saw Viola Davis saying this with Oprah Winfrey, two of my favorites, by the way. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:21 And she said, I know that joy and peace are not a destination. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:28 They're a journey. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:30 And I felt that. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:31 I completely felt that. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:32 And I said, okay, no destination. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:35 Just like a journey. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:37 And that's. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:38 That's. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:38 It's difficult sometimes to think of it in regards to, like, where are we going? Merav Rosenberg 00:40:44 And like you said, we're all kind of. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:45 Kind of lost. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:47 So if we all know and we have that collective feeling of, okay, we're all lost, let's help you find your way. Merav Rosenberg 00:40:55 If we all can do a little bit of, like, helping someone find his way back home to him, to her, I think that's what we're here for. Shelly Johnson 00:41:07 So it's. Shelly Johnson 00:41:07 It's a. Shelly Johnson 00:41:08 A journey. Shelly Johnson 00:41:09 We need to exercise the Joy gps, essentially, so that we stay on track. Shelly Johnson 00:41:14 Right? Merav Rosenberg 00:41:15 Exactly. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:16 Exactly. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:17 I couldn't have said it better. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:18 Joy gps. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:19 Definitely. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:20 Joy gps. Shelly Johnson 00:41:21 It's a good one, Shelly. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:23 It's a great one, Shelly. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:25 It's an amazing one. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:27 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:29 There's definitely. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:30 Enjoy. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:31 I'm writing that down. Merav Rosenberg 00:41:32 That's good. Host 00:41:36 Stay tuned for more of Women Road warriors coming up. Dean Michael 00:41:44 Dan Michael, the tax doctor here. Host 00:42:45 Welcome back to Women's Road warriors with Shelly Johnson and Kathy Tucaro. Shelly Johnson 00:42:53 In order to win the game of life, you need to believe that you're going to win. Shelly Johnson 00:42:58 If you keep at something long enough, you'll get results. Shelly Johnson 00:43:01 You need to lay out a really good plan. Shelly Johnson 00:43:04 Don't give in to the things that get you off track, like the overthinking Think of the world as a numbers game. Shelly Johnson 00:43:10 This is just some of the insight of Merav Rosenberg. Shelly Johnson 00:43:13 How many people do we need to reach out to to get what we want to get that? Shelly Johnson 00:43:17 Yes, it's a matter of figuring that out. Shelly Johnson 00:43:20 The only way you know you're doing well is by measuring results. Shelly Johnson 00:43:23 And as soon as you can measure a result, you'll know what works. Shelly Johnson 00:43:27 It's the predictable law of averages and the analytics of life. Shelly Johnson 00:43:31 Mayroff teaches this and many other things to women. Shelly Johnson 00:43:34 She wants women to know how amazing they truly are and that they can accomplish what they need. Shelly Johnson 00:43:40 She teaches the muscle of self worth and succeeding without sacrifice. Shelly Johnson 00:43:45 She encourages women to be brave, bold and ballsy and take charge of their dreams. Shelly Johnson 00:43:50 And to remember there's only one you and the qualities that you bring are the reason you do what you do. Shelly Johnson 00:43:57 Showcase your strengths, never downplay them. Shelly Johnson 00:44:00 Make a list of things you love to do and a list of the things where you excel. Shelly Johnson 00:44:04 That's where the abundance comes from. Shelly Johnson 00:44:06 You can determine your direction and where you shine. Shelly Johnson 00:44:09 You'll find the opportunities you didn't even expect just because you're focused. Shelly Johnson 00:44:14 Also, if you don't have a seat at the table, go get your own table. Shelly Johnson 00:44:18 With over 17 years in digital marketing, design and business, Mehrov's mission is clear. Shelly Johnson 00:44:23 To show women they're enough just as they are. Shelly Johnson 00:44:27 She's got some incredible insight. Shelly Johnson 00:44:29 I especially love her interpretation of the joy journey. Shelly Johnson 00:44:32 And to help people find their way, she heads us in the right direction. Shelly Johnson 00:44:36 That's why I mentioned a joy gps. Shelly Johnson 00:44:39 I don't know what made me think of that. Shelly Johnson 00:44:41 But Mehrov does provide the GPS for Joy with everything she's doing. Shelly Johnson 00:44:46 Don't you think so too, Mehrov? Merav Rosenberg 00:44:48 It's so, it's so important. Merav Rosenberg 00:44:51 But how do you find. Merav Rosenberg 00:44:52 By the way, just like a side note, how do you find joy on gps? Shelly Johnson 00:44:58 I don't know. Shelly Johnson 00:44:58 We need to create it. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:00 No, you need to even write it down. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:02 Right. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:02 You need to know that that's what you're looking for. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:04 Then you need to place it on the GPS that like GPS take me to see to the place where you think I need to go. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:12 No, no. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:13 And most people, I like that it's like, okay, like life will. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:18 No, no, no. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:19 You need to know where you want to go. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:21 And so having said that could enjoy in your gps, put it in, make sure that that's on your list of goals. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:30 And I, I promise you it's not in like 90% of the people on their GBS. Shelly Johnson 00:45:37 You know that perspective would so improve the world, wouldn't it? Shelly Johnson 00:45:40 We get rid of a lot of angry negative people if they could find the joy that's naturally within themselves. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:47 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:47 It's our birth given right. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:49 I think to be joyful. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:50 And I think we're programmed to totally different by so many reasons. Merav Rosenberg 00:45:55 So, so, so many reasons really to, to place instead of like peace and instead of like joy and instead of love, fear. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:05 And I think that we should, we should just be acknowledging this, that there is a whole spectrum between fear and love and everything that's in between. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:18 And if you're too fearful, then you're not trusting enough that everything will be okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:26 And that happens for a reason, by the way. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:29 It happens for a reason. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:30 It happens from your life events. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:32 Like I said, you always have to be mindful to choose joy. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:37 And also I think one of the things that I would have loved that someone would have told me early on, hi, life isn't easy. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:50 It's not supposed to be easy. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:53 Go. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:54 It's supposed to be joyful. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:55 It's not supposed to be easy. Merav Rosenberg 00:46:57 Go live your life. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:00 I wish someone would have told me that because I think my interpretation of like life is supposed to be amazing for me and then finding out that it's not was more devastating. Shelly Johnson 00:47:13 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:13 And as soon as you figure that out that then, then life gets better because okay, that's fine. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:21 It doesn't have to be easy. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:23 I have to work for it. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:25 But if I work for it, then things, great things will happen. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:30 If I choose joy, I work for my want, need goal, then that would be amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:38 I think where it really. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:40 I've been to India twice in the last year and I felt that they don't even know what to ask for. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:49 They do not have the privileges that we do to ask for what we know how to ask for. Merav Rosenberg 00:47:58 It was a very spiritual awakening for me to understand how other people live, how, how some poverty is like unbelievable. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:11 And it gave me again another sense of gratitude, of like, oh my God. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:18 Yeah. Kathy Tucaro 00:48:18 I went to India in 2018 and same thing. Kathy Tucaro 00:48:21 I was in Delhi for a week and I was just shell shocked. Kathy Tucaro 00:48:24 I was just like, oh my gosh. Kathy Tucaro 00:48:26 Right. Kathy Tucaro 00:48:26 Just. Kathy Tucaro 00:48:27 Yeah, it was very much an eye opener. Shelly Johnson 00:48:30 Yeah. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:30 And Delhi is a main city. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:32 I've been to places that are not and like people living in tents on it was. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:42 It was crazy. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:44 It was crazy seeing that. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:46 And I love seeing other places where I can get a perspective of how you can find joy. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:56 And. Merav Rosenberg 00:48:56 And I've also been to Bhutan where that is supposed to be happy nation. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:01 And, and what it is is that I think they have less demands, less desires and I don't know. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:11 And I think maybe they're more in the present moment. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:15 Like we started with the book the Power of Now that I'm reading. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:20 And I think that's the, that's what we're supposed to be doing. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:24 I think that's what we're supposed to be doing kind of setting a plan to have a place where we can be present. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:31 So yes, we do need money in this lifetime. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:35 And by the way, love, money, love, love. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:38 And why do I love it? Merav Rosenberg 00:49:40 It's just because I know what it gets me. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:42 It gets me to have many adventures. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:44 It gets to have my designer bags that I love. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:48 It gets to have my beautiful apartment and decorating it the way that I want every single time. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:55 Travel with my kids, travel with my husband. Merav Rosenberg 00:49:58 And these are the things that I'm. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:00 I am wanting to get from. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:03 For money. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:04 And so as soon as you have. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:06 That's another thing. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:07 As soon as you have kind of a goal of what is the money going to be for, then it should arrive. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:14 If you do everything that you need with the plan and where you want to go and what you want to do. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:21 And it gets really easy when you plan it out, or at least it did for me and every client that I work with. Merav Rosenberg 00:50:30 It just gets Easy. Shelly Johnson 00:50:33 A matter of a roadmap. Shelly Johnson 00:50:35 I love your perspectives, Merav. Shelly Johnson 00:50:37 Talking about joy and being ballsy, which is necessary. Shelly Johnson 00:50:42 You got to have that. Shelly Johnson 00:50:44 What Testicular fortitude only come from a female perspective, which is more powerful. Shelly Johnson 00:50:48 Powerful as far as I'm concerned and getting over the fear of taking the risk. Shelly Johnson 00:50:53 And when you talk about the muscle of self worth and succeeding without sacrifice and believing in resilience and adaptability, you have that on your website. Shelly Johnson 00:51:02 It's the keys to thriving in both personal and professional lives. Shelly Johnson 00:51:05 Your perspectives are amazing. Shelly Johnson 00:51:08 Just wondering, do you have a couple nuggets we could leave with our listeners for them to think about to set them on this course? Shelly Johnson 00:51:15 Because you're changing the world, Mehrav. Shelly Johnson 00:51:17 I love this. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:18 Thank you. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:18 Thank you so much. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:19 I think we're all changing the world little by little. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:22 Hopefully, you know, we get to as many people as we can. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:27 I think the first things that I would want to leave you with is follow, follow, really follow people who you feel you want to see yourself becoming. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:44 What do I mean by that? Merav Rosenberg 00:51:46 I think that, like I said, we are programmed. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:48 And this isn't something that I am just talking about, it's something that I actually see happening. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:56 Right. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:57 We have been programmed to be in fear. Merav Rosenberg 00:51:59 Whether it's when living in a country with war, whether we're living in a country without women's rights, whether we're living in a country where we're less paid, it doesn't really matter. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:15 But we have a choice. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:16 We have a choice to follow different people. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:20 Whether it's on Instagram. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:22 If you have someone you look up to follow them. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:27 If you see someone who doesn't ignite love and happiness, unfollow. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:35 And if you can't unfollow, then mute. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:38 Right? Merav Rosenberg 00:52:38 This is, this is what we see. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:40 Probably, I don't know, mostly five to 10 hours a day, we scroll, we use digital marketing. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:49 This is my job, so I know this very well. Merav Rosenberg 00:52:52 And what I'm saying is the people that you actually see and follow, those are the people who are creating your reality. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:00 So follow the right people. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:02 That would be the most important thing that I want to say. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:06 The second thing is as soon as you follow someone different, you'll see that they have a certain set of values. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:14 And that brings me to the choosing joy portion of it. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:18 Hopefully you'll choose people to follow that are choosing joy and that want to help you be a better person, be a better self, love yourself more, have more self worth. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:32 So when you find that, just make sure that you listen to what they say and then choose Joy would be the first thing that I would want to say. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:43 Even if you don't believe it yet, choose it. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:47 Choose it with all your heart. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:49 Just choose. Merav Rosenberg 00:53:51 You want joy in your life, you'll see more opportunities for that joy to come to life as soon as you choose it. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:01 And then I'm not just saying choose it. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:04 I'm saying, okay, now we're planning it. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:09 What will make you happy? Merav Rosenberg 00:54:11 Try and think of all the things. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:13 It doesn't have to come to you immediately, but you have to make sure you think about it. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:21 The other thing you asked me in the beginning of our conversation, how to say my name and what it meant. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:27 And like I, I, I told you, merav in Hebrew in the Bible means abundance. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:33 I didn't even know that. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:34 I figured that along. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:36 It took me a long time. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:37 Although the name and what it means in Hebrew is a lot and that actually means abundance. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:44 And I guess I came to show people that abundant is in everything that you see. Merav Rosenberg 00:54:54 The first thing that I do every morning and that I, I, I have to say has changed my life is say thank you. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:03 I do at least 20, 25 thank yous each morning. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:07 Sometimes when it's hot, I think the air conditioner, because a lot of people don't have that. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:13 And sometimes I think coffee, obviously. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:16 I think my, my children being healthy and my, my beautiful, beautiful fiance. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:23 And I think the, the trivial things, I think flowers, I think the fact that I have a beautiful view and it's a sunny day and that the sun is out and that the weather is beautiful. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:35 And I think that I have an amazing brain and that I have amazing clients and I think everything humanly possible in that situation. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:46 I take the time in the morning with my great cup of coffee that I thank for and, and give thanks to everything, everything that I see. Merav Rosenberg 00:55:55 And I feel like if, if you start off with something, it could be like, my nails are amazing today. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:01 Really, it has, it could be the smallest, teeniest thing that you see and that you woke up in the morning healthy and that you're breathing and it could go up to obviously more, more deeper, amazing things and you'll see it getting bigger and bigger the more that you go. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:21 And so if you choose joy, if you do your thank yous in the morning and have a plan of what it is that, that you want to do and how you're going to get there and if you don't know how to do two of those things right, making a plan and how you want to get there, Then I always, always recommend getting a mentor. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:44 Someone who is where you want to get to. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:47 That's where you're going. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:49 Okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:49 And it could change every time you surpass what you got to. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:55 Okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:56:55 Sometimes the student surpasses the teacher, which is amazing. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:01 Okay. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:01 And I love seeing that. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:03 I love seeing that. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:05 And so if you can find a mentor to help you set out a plan to get what you want, this is after choosing joy and being thankful for the things that you already have because you already have so much. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:18 I think those are, are the main ingredients to get a life of abundance, to be more ballsy, to have way higher self worth and ultimately love yourself so much that you're so full that you can share this love with other people. Shelly Johnson 00:57:39 Well said, Neyrov. Shelly Johnson 00:57:41 That's profound. Shelly Johnson 00:57:42 I love it. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:43 Thank you. Merav Rosenberg 00:57:44 Thank you. Shelly Johnson 00:57:44 Merav. Shelly Johnson 00:57:45 Where do people reach out to you? Merav Rosenberg 00:57:47 So they can reach me through my website, obviously, which is either it's mehravrosenberg.com or they can go to Paz Agency, where that's obviously my digital marketing agency, where we do so many branding and web designs and help people showcase who they are online in the best way possible so that they can, you know, get their goals met as soon as they possibly can. Merav Rosenberg 00:58:18 So when they make that choice of joy, when they make that choice of making a plan, I am the one who is here to help them implement it. Shelly Johnson 00:58:29 Excellent. Shelly Johnson 00:58:30 And your first name is spelled M E I R A V. Shelly Johnson 00:58:33 For those that are looking up your, your website, we'll have that in the show notes as well. Merav Rosenberg 00:58:38 Thank you so much. Merav Rosenberg 00:58:39 It really was such a pleasure speaking to both of you and thank you for having me on the show. Merav Rosenberg 00:58:47 Yes, thank you. Shelly Johnson 00:58:49 We really appreciate it. Shelly Johnson 00:58:50 Mehrav, it's been an honor. Merav Rosenberg 00:58:52 Thank you, thank you, thank you.
