Episode 74 - Blood Angels pt1 - The origins
On today's cast we begin our coverage of the Blood Angels Chapter. We start with their origins under the unification wars. From there their borderline descent into savagery as they pushed out into the great crusade. Next we jump to their Primarch Sanguinius. First with his arrival on Baal Secundus, and then his growth and rise to be the leader of the moon. That leads us into his unification of his legion and their repression of their Gene flaw. And then we go into the Horus Heresy. With the betrayal at Signus prime and their greatest enemy Ka’ Bandha. Then we join them on their quick detour to make a new imperium, and finally we close out with the Sierge of Terra and Death of their Primarch.

[SPEAKER_01]: So really spicy to start high on these. [SPEAKER_01]: What are the blood angels? [SPEAKER_02]: You know what, what I'm stopping you because I like the blood angels at least, eighty seven point two percent more than you like the blind. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's eighty seven point two times more than I do. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to help you out on this like they're fine. [SPEAKER_02]: I just I'll be playing blood angels and I have to go back in time because this can already. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I'm going to play the blood angels for three tournaments tomorrow. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't have an issue at play. [SPEAKER_01]: I know they're just space marines, and I don't overly. [SPEAKER_01]: I think candidly, the irony of this game is this is a game written about space marines. [SPEAKER_01]: And I find the space marines will be the least interesting part of the lore. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if you like any of the space marines to be really death watching them okay with. [SPEAKER_01]: Wolves are fine. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't dislike them. [SPEAKER_01]: I just think the lore around non-space marines. [SPEAKER_02]: I just, I think that this, this is one of the legions that I like. [SPEAKER_02]: Their stories quite a bit. [SPEAKER_02]: You can ever go wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: Desmation of ball and things of that nature. [SPEAKER_02]: But their, their heroes are real heroes. [SPEAKER_02]: They're, they're not as awesome as I think. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think through, I think the blood angels may be the most lore prevalent of all the chapters. [SPEAKER_02]: They're in the main story. [SPEAKER_01]: The only people that Ultramarines always are, are they don't, the reason I ask this is like, so I'm looking at more from a story and lore standpoint, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: The Ultramarines are a figure within the lore. [SPEAKER_01]: But they don't interact with it as much as the blood angels do. [SPEAKER_01]: The blood angels were, I mean, especially the house. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the ultramarines are the poster child, blood angels are in a lot of the, that's one of the, that's one of the, the ultramarines are like the, the bog standard space marine becomes the ultramarines thing, but when we're talking about a story with epic conflict, all these things, adding the blood angels are the biggest ones in there. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe even recently because even really was [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, blind angels really, they really did them up. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, who the blind angels are? [SPEAKER_01]: They're a heavy melee focused army that mostly excels in close combat and kind of fast attacks, which is just they like jump packs. [SPEAKER_01]: If you like jump packs and power fists, you're like, yeah, they used to like melted pistols, but GW took that away from them. [SPEAKER_01]: That army was awesome. [SPEAKER_01]: It probably was wow. [SPEAKER_01]: That army was wow. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just like so all of you have apologized to people. [SPEAKER_01]: So if you have pistols that can melt a tank, yeah, four euros with four euros. [SPEAKER_01]: Mike, most of the space marine legends, they're in homage to some sort of mythology, like Vikings, Mongols, pirates, whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: The blenders are kind of an homage to the story of Catholicism, and not in a religious sense. [SPEAKER_02]: It's the Catholicism mythos, the good versus evil, the angels and demons, and taking these epic stands against them. [SPEAKER_02]: And also, what can happen in corruption? [SPEAKER_02]: Now you have to fight against it. [SPEAKER_02]: Because they have [SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of their heroes are effectively will be the saints and things of that nature. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, the plagiarism is not subtle. [SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, it's not even. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there is a guy that died for your sins. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's not subtle. [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, let's get into this. [SPEAKER_01]: Before we begin, kind of once again, I want to talk about the birth of space marines, those who didn't listen most cast, just a real quick hit. [SPEAKER_01]: At the onset of what was Neil is a great crusade, which is when the emperor of mankind left Earth to go conquer the galaxy, he did so with a massive force of super soldiers. [SPEAKER_01]: They were faster, stronger, tougher, and more resilient, except the poison than any human in history. [SPEAKER_01]: This is basically, [SPEAKER_01]: The space Marines were purpose-built to be able to handle anything that galaxy could throw out at them with the exception of poison. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing about space Marines was that they weren't a model with. [SPEAKER_01]: The force was made up of twenty legions to them never got very far. [SPEAKER_01]: Each of them had small quirks and changes within them. [SPEAKER_01]: this was both by actually it's hard to tell this was by design or by accident. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's both to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_02]: Probably because part of it and they've haven't really read count themselves, but they just leave it out there and I like the way that they leave it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for just it's in the the dark age if you don't really know what happened. [SPEAKER_02]: We don't have that history, but part of it was [SPEAKER_02]: They got corrupted by chaos, and then primarx themselves. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, they got, yeah, there was a chaos touch. [SPEAKER_01]: And so, yeah, that's what the primarx. [SPEAKER_01]: So every space marine is created by putting in what's called a gene seed, which is complicated and listen to that cast. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're willing, we get a lot more into it. [SPEAKER_01]: But effectively, every single person within a space marine army has a piece of the primarquin. [SPEAKER_01]: And the primarx was a secret project that the emperor made. [SPEAKER_01]: where he takes the power of the warp and creates a living being with it. [SPEAKER_01]: The primarks are not true mortal beings as we learn from Corvax. [SPEAKER_01]: They actually are actual warp entities and no one realized that, including me until I read that. [SPEAKER_02]: There are also pieces of him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's some of him was put into it, but they are at their core this. [SPEAKER_01]: And so as he made these, the problem is that the emperor got the tactic to make these from the chaos gods. [SPEAKER_01]: And anyone who has any concept of how a story should be written, a chaos god will never give you a full truth in a deal. [SPEAKER_01]: There's always a little bit left on it. [SPEAKER_02]: And for once I'll back to the chaos gods, because the emperor went [SPEAKER_02]: I will for sure do some stuff for you. [SPEAKER_02]: If you give me this knowledge and they gave me the knowledge and he went, yeah, I'm not going to do it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm out. [SPEAKER_01]: I lied by sight. [SPEAKER_02]: Did you not see this coming? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm the Emperor basically yelled psych while running out of it all right out of the ring. [SPEAKER_02]: Any Krieger smoke bomb. [SPEAKER_02]: Just like, oh, man. [SPEAKER_01]: And because of that every single lesion is what we're just discussing a short minute ago, got touched by chaos in one way or another. [SPEAKER_01]: And this was the chaos God's way of undermining the Emperor's attempt to screw them over by screwing him over first. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, they didn't in the hacker back door kind of thing. [SPEAKER_02]: They put in a small flock in all of the primaries with kind of a lure, which is how they ended up [SPEAKER_01]: while creating the heresy. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, they created heresy, but also they got scattered by well, there's also, there's also someone that really made it that works. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Mommy. [SPEAKER_02]: We're very helpful with that one. [SPEAKER_01]: So what's this dive into the origins of the bloody angels at which point they were known as the ninth religion? [SPEAKER_01]: The Ninth Legion they're interesting because most of the space marines history begins during the Great Crusade. [SPEAKER_01]: However, the Ninth Legion actually begins earlier than that. [SPEAKER_01]: They actually, a first appear in the tail end of the Unification Wars, which is where the Emperor was bringing terror to heal under his power. [SPEAKER_01]: However, the blood angels weren't deployed with the main forces on terror that were filed like that on New War isn't it? [SPEAKER_01]: said they were deployed really, you know, weird methodists to create pain and suffering. [SPEAKER_02]: This was not the high point of blood angels. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is, this is, I like this because this is the blood angels before. [SPEAKER_01]: They're rival of their primar. [SPEAKER_01]: They were, I mean, to be fair, to be fair, they are, it's a copy of the Dark Angels, where before they were given this paragon of kindness, they were a monstrosity. [SPEAKER_02]: They did this on purpose because he, again, did completely absolve them, other sins made. [SPEAKER_01]: And these sins were rough. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the way the emperor used the ninth legion, it says, well, yeah, well, they didn't have them win any real victories. [SPEAKER_01]: They just picked on people. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, so the idea was that the Thunder Warriors, some of the other Proto Marines, we're taking, we're fighting people on fronts and really engaging, pretty rough battle. [SPEAKER_01]: The ninth legion would attack from behind the lines or off to the edges, where it wasn't even, not even attacking like forces, it's attacking like civilian populations. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's massacre them. [SPEAKER_01]: The ninth legion held, it was just, it was, it was evil stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: But what was really crazy about this, [SPEAKER_01]: is that while they were doing this, they became known as the eaters of the dead. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is because that's what they did. [SPEAKER_01]: The ninth legion would run through or largely civilian populations and then actually consume some of their bodies and like a ritual. [SPEAKER_01]: And not like an A like, oh, it's a rumor. [SPEAKER_01]: No, they had like four K, eight K photos of this. [SPEAKER_02]: They had remembers his before there was. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone was writing this down. [SPEAKER_01]: And the emperor was, by the way, totally fine with this. [SPEAKER_01]: And interestingly enough, at the end of the unification wars, after he murders off all the thunder warriors, night vision was fine. [SPEAKER_01]: So that's kind of like, that's where they started. [SPEAKER_01]: What I find interesting about a night vision is that this continued, coming out of [SPEAKER_01]: Art of the Great Crusade, the ninth legion were used to really the fight, ravage, and annihilate any foe who dared stand against the emperor. [SPEAKER_02]: If you, whoever you were, as opposed to by the way, it was also in the beginning because he was making it, I really feel the emperor who is not a nice guy, was sending a message of, don't resist, join the cause, yeah, or, [SPEAKER_01]: What I find funny about this, though, is they, again, all these things are written independently, but you read about it. [SPEAKER_01]: And the blood angels were deployed against the most dangerous, into the most dangerous war zones, against the strongest. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, to really devastate and still fear in them. [SPEAKER_01]: As opposed to the world leaders, the space wolves, the dark angels, the nightlords, emperors, children, et cetera, deathguard, [SPEAKER_01]: Every single Legion has this story, by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's more of a funny thing, and it's because it's not GW's fault. [SPEAKER_01]: It's that you have to write eighteen legions. [SPEAKER_01]: You really can't write eighteen different ways. [SPEAKER_01]: You wage war. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not that many variants. [SPEAKER_02]: And also you're probably going to so tear. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And holy shit. [SPEAKER_02]: When again, the giant mutated super soldier. [SPEAKER_02]: You show a power arm. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's one of them. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the, one of the redacted legions we're doing. [SPEAKER_01]: They were planting trees. [SPEAKER_01]: He was like, that's why he's all this just doesn't work. [SPEAKER_01]: He said one out there was all kindness. [SPEAKER_01]: They took with gift baskets. [SPEAKER_01]: Please take in the party. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, would you guys please join the Imperium? [SPEAKER_01]: It'd be great to have you. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not working at all. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, all right, they're all redacted. [SPEAKER_02]: the crusade though, this is just how terrifying Mary's are. [SPEAKER_02]: If it's just John and Brad, and these guys show up, you have to think, what the hell is even happening right now? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, why are there people this much larger? [SPEAKER_01]: It must be supposed to be disappointing when you lose to them and you realize that it's actually, they're just one small portion of it. [SPEAKER_01]: They're all the regular dudes show up and like, I could have beat them. [SPEAKER_01]: Give me the other. [SPEAKER_01]: I could have done it. [SPEAKER_01]: Good God. [SPEAKER_01]: What I find one of the most interesting pieces about the ninth legion is where they came from. [SPEAKER_01]: We discussed this before, but the emperor knew what each legion was going to specialize in, and he made sure he pulled from Terra a stock that lined up with that. [SPEAKER_01]: So the night lords were made up primarily of criminals. [SPEAKER_01]: The iron hands came from the tech wastelands. [SPEAKER_01]: The world leaders came from somewhere just terrible. [SPEAKER_01]: Just all terrible. [SPEAKER_01]: It's cetera, et cetera. [SPEAKER_01]: But the blood angels had a really unique one, because they hailed from the dredges of terror. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of the blood angels actually came from remnants of people conquered by the emperor unwillingly conquered. [SPEAKER_02]: Most likely the meek will inherit the earth. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I guess if this one's more just, it just messed up because these are made up of people who whose entire families were slaughtered by the emperor and his legions and agreed to join. [SPEAKER_01]: This also messes with the gene seed a little bit, because these are also people who will cover this more later, who probably took the brunt of some pretty rough chemical and nuclear weapons. [SPEAKER_01]: And we'll cover that shortly. [SPEAKER_02]: To be fair, I do think that several of the chapters had problems with that, because just like we talked about with the Necrontere, I think a lot of their DNA was [SPEAKER_02]: Flood. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and you see the truth is terror was partly a radiated wasteland. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's almost every legion. [SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe the ultramarines and I don't know if maybe white scars don't care about them. [SPEAKER_01]: It can replace all their Terence at some fairly early stage in the fight most the Terence died off early and they became wherever the recruiting world was. [SPEAKER_02]: And we've talked about this on a several of our other cast when we talk about some of the other chapters that they made it a point to whatever the primarx home world, they replaced everybody with those people. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is always funny because these people don't live that long anyway, but they were still built. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know they're all going to be dead in like thirty years, but how about we just send them into the raggedan first? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: What about the rest of you? [SPEAKER_01]: I will be there in a minute. [SPEAKER_01]: Ten minutes. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll be there in ten minutes. [SPEAKER_01]: You should be good. [SPEAKER_01]: You guys got this. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So one thing we've not really talked about at all before was that during the Dark Age of Technology, all of the worlds that were colonized by mankind during the Golden Age sell. [SPEAKER_01]: And we usually refer to this as like all the Emperor got to another galaxy and encountered this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and no, some of them were actually in the soul. [SPEAKER_01]: In fact, the Emperor had to when he came, actually, all of them were. [SPEAKER_01]: When the Emperor came out of Terra, he had to reconquer his own galaxy. [SPEAKER_01]: We discussed, you know, Mars was pretty easy. [SPEAKER_01]: They made a deal where he pretended to be the on the sia. [SPEAKER_01]: But all the rest of them involved a rather aggressive approach, some easier than others. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the hardest [SPEAKER_01]: I'm mad at you, GW. [SPEAKER_01]: The world of hardest was Neptune. [SPEAKER_01]: It could have been Uranus. [SPEAKER_01]: And they could have said the hardest fight in the entire galaxy was the fight for Uranus. [SPEAKER_01]: And they could have written that down and everyone would have enjoyed it. [SPEAKER_01]: But no, they went with Neptune. [SPEAKER_01]: It's lame. [SPEAKER_01]: It's lame GW. [SPEAKER_01]: Straight up lame. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like that's a golden joke and everyone and no one would have not appreciated it. [SPEAKER_01]: So, let's talk about Neptune because this was a big turning point for the ninth legion. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, this place is awful. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why Neptune's human inhabitants, no one knows what happened, but they were massively mutated like, you know, twenty eight days later, zombie style. [SPEAKER_02]: All the things that run at you and do. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's this is it. [SPEAKER_01]: So the emperor sends a ninth legion to pacify the planet, which means kill every single thing there. [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is, and he did this by the way to every single planet that was there. [SPEAKER_01]: Neptune was unique, though, because these mutants on Neptune had actually built a massive underground network of tunnels that connected the fortresses together, which were so deep and fortified that they were impervious to orbital guns. [SPEAKER_02]: Also a big thing on this, the Emperor, especially the planets in Seoul, was a big no-no. [SPEAKER_02]: We're taking these back. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're not cracking this and he could have blown up to not. [SPEAKER_01]: So the ninth legion had to go in basically by hand. [SPEAKER_01]: And good thing for them, they were of the legions, it depends on those things. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're reading a blood angel's book, then the ninth legion was the most adept at close combat fighting. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're reading a role-dears book, it's them. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're reading a space-wall's book, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, the ninth legion descend on full force on the mutants in Neptune. [SPEAKER_01]: The surface is pretty easy. [SPEAKER_01]: They mop the surface pretty quick. [SPEAKER_01]: But when they go down into the subterranean, this got ugly. [SPEAKER_01]: So ugly, that actually at one point, the ninth legion went dark. [SPEAKER_01]: The emperor all stopped hearing from them completely. [SPEAKER_01]: Fearing the worst, the emperor sent over and diverted forces to go and either find, basically find his lost legion. [SPEAKER_01]: And just as they're arriving in orbit, they get the message back up. [SPEAKER_01]: We did it all done. [SPEAKER_01]: And all the mutants are dead. [SPEAKER_01]: But they lost. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, probably, yeah, I mean, they said they lost about twelve thousand of their own at this stage. [SPEAKER_01]: That's probably over ten percent of the Legion dies. [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, no words, by the way, are ever said of what happened down there. [SPEAKER_01]: Just that. [SPEAKER_01]: some they went dark for a little bit and then they came out of it and we're going to cover the black rage later, but that's my my opinion of what happened on Neptune is they took these catastrophic losses that triggered the black rage, which is why they stopped communicating because when the blood angels under the black rage, they're in a, they're not in a, they're not in a, they're not in that journal. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, what's becomes, it, fastening me about this is this battle ends and the blood angels need to refill their legion because they've just lost like ten percent of it. [SPEAKER_01]: They actually turned to the people of Neptune, just like the Emperor had done on terror with them and begin recruiting. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So apparently there were still some people on Neptune who weren't super mutants. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not clear. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not clear. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not clear at all in the stories. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, they went, hey, we had to fight this planet of mutants. [SPEAKER_02]: And then we replaced our ranks and they kind of let that go. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, from the place with the mutants. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and we're just some random people you found in there who were like, yeah, we've been hiding here for ten thousand years glad you guys are here. [SPEAKER_01]: We're not mutants or they did do the mutants. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, it's not clear. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and all. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Brett alluded to earlier the story arc of the blood angels. [SPEAKER_01]: At this point, we're getting past Neptune, and the ninth lesion are just horrifically violent. [SPEAKER_01]: They were horrifically violent on Terra, they were horrifically violent on Neptune, and as they go out into the galaxy, them and world leaders start becoming almost an issue with the level of violence that they're using. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it becomes a big deal because of the fact one it's obviously it's wrong and it's not but it's also a big deal because they become known for this you can't sell [SPEAKER_02]: your great crusade, your unification of the fact that the emperors create his whole thing. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm conquering the galaxy to make a better place. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't say I'm making a better place when the crazies are here. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the problem is the crazies also weren't that selective of who they attack. [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll talk about key baron, Ki-I-Y-B-U-R-A-N. [SPEAKER_01]: So if I pronounce that chi-beer on, [SPEAKER_01]: So this was, again, always a fun one. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a irradiated world full of cannibal mutants rolled over by a techno barbarian. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's an ADS movie. [SPEAKER_02]: This is an ADHS for sure. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is an ADS made for TV movie that Brad watches a little chicken going. [SPEAKER_01]: This is so good. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to watch this again. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so they send the Imperial Army over, which is Imperial Garden Navy, and they land on the planet, and they just get slaughtered by these mutants. [SPEAKER_01]: So the Emperor says, cool, night Legion time, and they send these over. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, just like on Neptune, [SPEAKER_01]: They run to a pretty big problem because this, the techno barbarian who's ruling the planet has what appears to be an infinite number of mutants. [SPEAKER_01]: And so the ninth legion start with early success, but just get overwhelmed because it is a three hundred to one ratio. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's never ending qualities. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it being a good super, being a super soldier is adorable. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not just not going to hold up when you have to kill [SPEAKER_01]: Fifty people with each swing in the story. [SPEAKER_02]: They talk about the fact that these guys do not care if they take damage. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have to kill the full speed. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they do not care if you could chop off their arms. [SPEAKER_02]: They're just like, they don't really have flesh. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the ninth legion does something that no space marine legion, like they were treated and they move back and they move over to what they call strict teaching engagements. [SPEAKER_01]: which means a ninth legion would do a lightning strike on one section of the mutant army, kill as many as they possibly can, and then bail out. [SPEAKER_01]: And they do this for a decade, which I need to also point out, GW timetables here get really goofy. [SPEAKER_02]: This makes no sense because none of the engagement takes that long. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for anybody else. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this one takes a decade, whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: It just says it and I was like, all right. [SPEAKER_01]: What ends up happening that the reason this story is more important is that during this decade long battle, I have no idea why. [SPEAKER_01]: They got completely isolated from the imperium and couldn't resupply. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't know why, because the mutants, it's just on a planet, but we'll skip that. [SPEAKER_01]: And during this element, the apothecaries of the ninth legion tell them, hey, these are opponents eat the dead. [SPEAKER_01]: We should do that too, so we don't starve to death. [SPEAKER_01]: That's just what they did. [SPEAKER_02]: We do have an entire successor chapter called Flush Uners, but continue. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the blood drinkers, and it's about six of them. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a terrible name. [SPEAKER_01]: So, as a story goes, guys, this is lame. [SPEAKER_01]: As a story goes, the ninth legions, able to refill their energy by eating all these mutants, and they can keep the pressure on Kyberon. [SPEAKER_01]: The same time though, it also cements the reputation as angels of death, because just like on Neptune, there were some random humans on this planet who were just hanging out and also how were they? [SPEAKER_01]: And they had their iPhone cameras available, so they filmed these massive humans, killing the monsters, and then eating them. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, what, what was they were saying? [SPEAKER_02]: They were, they were killing monsters. [SPEAKER_02]: They were killing other people. [SPEAKER_01]: They also, yeah, they also would raid these random villages of humans at night and kill and eat some of them, too. [SPEAKER_01]: So it was, it's interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: At this stage of night, legions, are you worse than the nightlords? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, these guys are terrible. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They, I, they're a little heavy handed on. [SPEAKER_02]: The incorruptible sin, the blood, the blood, the night legion at this time is just pure evil. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And what ends up happening as, this is, Cobb, you're on to one example. [SPEAKER_01]: This happens over and over and over again. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not surprising that the legion made up of criminals and mutants. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe doesn't behave as well as some of the other ones. [SPEAKER_01]: But over time, this cannibalism and this horror begins to affect the other legions. [SPEAKER_01]: To the point where a lot of the other legions didn't want to be anywhere near them. [SPEAKER_01]: Like they actually, they would either refuse to take part in engagement with President, or if the ninth legion was present, they would actually just basically pull back. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Rogel Dorn, for example, watched members of the ninth legion kill and eat prisoners. [SPEAKER_01]: on, it was on top of basically there was a fortification they were trying to get through. [SPEAKER_01]: And then Lionth Legion pulled out a bunch of old they captured murder them and ate them in front of the opposition. [SPEAKER_01]: And Rogel Dorn had do a have a little check chat with the ninth legion about like I will murder it if they don't find St. [SPEAKER_02]: Guinius at this point in time. [SPEAKER_02]: I think that the ninth legion, not even the blood angels this time, just the ninth legion. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we would have had seventeen legion. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it gets sent out to pasture. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the worst word done. [SPEAKER_01]: So luckily for them, there's a primar exciting. [SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about their primar sangueness. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, everybody else, Sanguineus, was teleported out of his gestation pod and thrown onto some planet to tempt him for chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: And he actually, he didn't even get to plant him. [SPEAKER_01]: He later on a moon, ball two, which is called ball sexicontins, ball secundus. [SPEAKER_01]: I should just call it ball tooth through the whole thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll be nice the blood angels fans and I just ruin them. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not bold to. [SPEAKER_01]: It is ball to. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, ball sits in it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's ball the system because there's ball. [SPEAKER_01]: There's ball one and ball two. [SPEAKER_01]: So ball primus and ball secundus. [SPEAKER_01]: They all sit in the ultimate segment in which is the right side of the galaxy. [SPEAKER_01]: It's it's just where everything [SPEAKER_01]: Is going down the towel. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is before the towel. [SPEAKER_01]: This is before the tyrannids, but both them would start over there. [SPEAKER_01]: The orcs are already over there. [SPEAKER_01]: And we discover later as a ton of necron tombroads over there as well. [SPEAKER_01]: So ball was a system that was colonized during the Golden Age of Technology. [SPEAKER_01]: However, it was, the humans that settled it were not the first inhabitants. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't know anything about them. [SPEAKER_01]: We just know that there was a Xeno race who was long died out before the humans ever got there. [SPEAKER_01]: So for whatever reason, the humans were able to read their relics and adopted this religion of the Xeno's who'd been there. [SPEAKER_01]: And the religion was the belief that there were two angels that existed who were fighting for control of the immaterial. [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't really know if like the Zenos, if there were two worships, like one more on team go to one more on team bad, or if they were just worshiping the struggle of them. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming it's a second, but they never make it clear. [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely not. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, the people of ball over time fully adopt this. [SPEAKER_01]: This becomes their religion and it sets all the way through the dark age of technology, which did not go well for ball. [SPEAKER_01]: You are correct? [SPEAKER_01]: Just didn't go great. [SPEAKER_01]: So ball was a planet and two moons at the start of the Dark Age of Technology. [SPEAKER_01]: At the end of the Dark Age of Technology, the planet was Mars in the factory was just complete absolute wasteland. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the moons was [SPEAKER_01]: basically in a radiated wasteland. [SPEAKER_01]: And the second one was also in a radiated wasteland, but still had a few settlers on it. [SPEAKER_01]: In other words, the people at GW saw Mad Max, not even beyond Thunderdome, I'm talking Mad Max, and maybe a little bit of road warrior, and we're right in that for a planet, without the cars. [SPEAKER_01]: So the people of Balsakundas, which is whatever it is, are a nomadic people that [SPEAKER_01]: are trying to survive by finding things in the wasteland, while at the same time avoiding massive chunks of radiation, horrifying storms, and the funnest part mutants, because there's this fallout. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, you're right, it's also this fallout, but it's well beyond the well before it falls out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: As a theme, it's among [SPEAKER_01]: You know, amongst all the plans of chaos, God sent the primarks, they pick one that will tempt them to chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: So, Magnus and Lorgar were sent somewhere with power and knowledge, Martarian and Curse sent to just torture and pain. [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone went to conflict and strife. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a couple didn't, but anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: Ball is no different. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's San Guenier. [SPEAKER_01]: So San Guenier says a baby. [SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to Zubes. [SPEAKER_01]: He hates San Guenier so does he really yell with him on this one. [SPEAKER_02]: He's bananas. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I have to admit that he is ridiculously OP because his stance are maxed in, yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, the San Guenier says is a wild character. [SPEAKER_01]: So San Guenier's has found it's a baby. [SPEAKER_01]: And my tribe finds it. [SPEAKER_01]: But when they kind of go to pick him up, [SPEAKER_01]: He they discovered he has giant wings on his back. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not the angel wings. [SPEAKER_01]: It's it's white feathers, not, you know, bat wings, which is what Conrad would have had. [SPEAKER_01]: So they assume he's a mutant and they're about to murder him when they decide to not do that and it's a adopt him. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll be honest, given the power, we were just talking up saying, wait, I think they tried to stab him. [SPEAKER_01]: He would have just, the infant, saying it's what he was talking about. [SPEAKER_01]: It's technically blasted. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't have worked. [SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like, oh, they chose not to kill him. [SPEAKER_01]: It's entirely possible. [SPEAKER_02]: I love the fact that they don't even make a big deal about the fact that his scientists, his psychic ability, because he's, everything else is so, Pete, you're like, oh, yeah, he's also got that. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually kind of wonder if they came upon this baby, like surrounded by a bunch of other dead nomads who the first group did try to kill him. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a monster. [SPEAKER_01]: They're all dead. [SPEAKER_01]: That's when he goes, yeah, let's give it a chance. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, cool thing on St. [SPEAKER_01]: Williams, he's the only one I'm aware of and correct me if I'm wrong in the discord where they do discuss how fast he ages. [SPEAKER_02]: Nighthunter had that too because he landed and got discarded and started hunting immediately as a child. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so you have two of them, because yeah, the thing was, it's with D.T. [SPEAKER_01]: L.S.A., it's about three months old, San Gwynes was a full-sized child who was walking around and within a year he was as tall as a man and just speaking like a normal adult. [SPEAKER_01]: So within the two years he was a full-sized primar, which is probably for a group of people living in an irradiated wasteland. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a four-time multiple to everyone around him. [SPEAKER_01]: It would be my guess with giant wings. [SPEAKER_01]: Angel wings. [SPEAKER_01]: That don't do it. [SPEAKER_02]: He also has random flowing hair. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a rock star with Angel. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, okay, this game was written in the lady. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying this everyone, everyone had Bobby. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, everyone, and not been the early nineties had a flowing hair except for you. [SPEAKER_01]: I had. [SPEAKER_01]: You tried. [SPEAKER_01]: What I'm saying is you did. [SPEAKER_01]: I did. [SPEAKER_01]: Then. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did you? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did you? [SPEAKER_01]: You straightened into the straightener. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I rocked start curly enough. [SPEAKER_01]: You did. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I see. [SPEAKER_01]: Your mom and sister helping with helping you with like, how hard they were. [SPEAKER_01]: Who's that? [SPEAKER_01]: So if you guys don't know that's anyone you know who's over fifty and it's an American, or actually, or British, you can mess with them on this one, because if they had sisters, they usually had their sisters help them with their hair care routine. [SPEAKER_02]: Am I correct? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying anything about this. [SPEAKER_01]: There we go. [SPEAKER_02]: Just saying my mom and I had the same hair for a while. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like if you were in your your sixties, I could buy a push on to how many perms have you had? [SPEAKER_01]: Did need them straight. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I was born. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I was born. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_01]: So some of the fun parts about Senguenius's powers is he's just so overpowered. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like the moons of the ball too. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing that by the way now is massively irradiated in areas. [SPEAKER_01]: And so we're just walking to those areas, grab the gear if I wanted to walk out. [SPEAKER_01]: But everyone, he would break rocks with his bare hands. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know when that would come up. [SPEAKER_01]: But apparently he's out there just going yelling judo chop. [SPEAKER_01]: and breaking and breaking boulders. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, my favorite one, he could sell a wild beast with just a look. [SPEAKER_01]: That was written down somewhere. [SPEAKER_01]: You wouldn't, you wouldn't, is never written down anywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: What these wild beasts are. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, it has to be a bummer. [SPEAKER_02]: Again, he's a powerful psychic. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And they barely make different sorts of things. [SPEAKER_02]: But they leave just him robbing people with his psychic power. [SPEAKER_01]: I had to read this though. [SPEAKER_01]: He fell wild beast. [SPEAKER_01]: The only animal they ever refer to on ball is the giant reds or firescore beam. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just murdering squirrels. [SPEAKER_01]: The whole time that I'm reading this by the way, the I'm a lumberjack and it's okay was playing in my head. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, like on Wednesday's saying, when he has to go shopping and his butter, it's gone for [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, he also could fly. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not. [SPEAKER_01]: Now let's make with his psychic powers, which just told us I don't. [SPEAKER_01]: If not, if you have seen Pete Holmes playing the professor Xavier firing all of this firing all the extent, but especially firing angel watch that. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at sanguinius. [SPEAKER_01]: Get a good get a good get a good burn. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to do it? [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want some seeds? [SPEAKER_02]: The wings are one hundred percent. [SPEAKER_02]: I just wanted to look cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, his wings are pure aesthetic. [SPEAKER_01]: An important piece though, because Matt is to his legion, he did all the sovereign from the black rage though. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, the story on that's important. [SPEAKER_01]: So one day he and his tribe of Mary men are wandering around and they get surprised by a bunch of feral mutants who attack, saying, when he is fearing that his family, effectively, you're about to get killed, just blows into this rage and killed over a hundred of them in like an instant. [SPEAKER_01]: And they don't say how it may have thus been psychic. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you don't know how he killed them. [SPEAKER_02]: He just, he just was like, he has huge remorse on all these things. [SPEAKER_02]: Because also, saying, winning is probably the most compassionate of all of the primars. [SPEAKER_02]: Not saying much. [SPEAKER_01]: He's the most compassionate of the murder machines. [SPEAKER_02]: He's an amazing speaker. [SPEAKER_02]: He's eloquent. [SPEAKER_02]: He's he also is known for thinking through things before they get done in comparison. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, but I'm just saying like even when he won't talk about Emily leads his Legion and yeah, just the way he takes it. [SPEAKER_01]: He is. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so over time like all the primarks sang when he has become the leader of the entire planet on this case, Moon, he exterminates all effectively all the mutants. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, some everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, most everybody won't close real shade on some of them. [SPEAKER_02]: Almost every primer dominated his planet. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: This goes next level, dude. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on. [SPEAKER_01]: Versus the lion, it's the same story. [SPEAKER_02]: The lion was the same story. [SPEAKER_02]: The ruler in the Lord sanguinious is a minor deity now. [SPEAKER_02]: So was the lion. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a, I mean, not the Luther, but the ever button Luther. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just more of the camel up though. [SPEAKER_02]: He had the circle of, you know, we're all equals. [SPEAKER_02]: And then every, he just gave the link. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're all equal. [SPEAKER_01]: We're totally equal. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I'm three of all of you, but we're equal. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, you guys know that if you banged it together, I wouldn't care, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cool, cool, cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I also could take all of you in a fight and replace all of you, come on. [SPEAKER_01]: Right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's would be a matter. [SPEAKER_01]: And no, if you can't get this monkey. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: So. [SPEAKER_01]: One actually thing about the emperor, sorry, what I think about sanguineus is when the emperor arrived, there's really not any story around it because sanguineus also was a pre-cock and knew this was going down. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not really a pre-cock, but he only needs his a moment with the emperor because they effectively have the [SPEAKER_02]: the psychic mind meld. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They communicate and they say that they give the thing we're in just a look. [SPEAKER_02]: They knew every they knew their past. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: They knew what was going on and he immediately signs on. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Although what's an interesting flip though, and that as much as that went that way. [SPEAKER_01]: But Senguinius doesn't take over his legion right away. [SPEAKER_01]: Instead, he actually meets his legion, and he then says, I'll be back. [SPEAKER_01]: He leaves. [SPEAKER_01]: And he leaves to go study under Horus. [SPEAKER_01]: Because this point, Horus has, because Horus was the first primarck found. [SPEAKER_01]: Correct? [SPEAKER_01]: The first one. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: It's all, in order that they are, is the order that they have found us. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Horace was just the best in it. [SPEAKER_01]: Horace was just the best in it. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I thought. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Horace is because they do the whole horocerosy civil war and everything's on. [SPEAKER_02]: Horace is the best in everything. [SPEAKER_02]: Saying goonies is the most OP compassion and everything, you know, they all have everything. [SPEAKER_01]: Jack and I can't exist. [SPEAKER_01]: So the interesting thing about the Horace one is that him and Horace [SPEAKER_01]: bond really heavily like to be point to become basically best friends. [SPEAKER_02]: That's also Horace is probably every primary case of superpower. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Horace is his charisma and he can make it. [SPEAKER_02]: But they really, but you know, the Horace is a fake. [SPEAKER_02]: Sure, but I've just said a lot of times you're not real sure if you were you are best friends that's or he made you be this one when I say it's Horace openly later admits like San Luis was one of his best friends. [SPEAKER_01]: Fun stories. [SPEAKER_01]: San Luis also became really close with Abadon at this day because Abadon's such a douche of the time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but San Luis was impressed with Abadon on the battle. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's awesome. [SPEAKER_02]: He's also even then. [SPEAKER_02]: He's an amazing leader. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want someone to get something done, the Don is just it's just on. [SPEAKER_01]: So let's then jump into actually saying when he is to that point comes back to his legion and takes control. [SPEAKER_01]: And he is a just true pairing on for the ninth legion. [SPEAKER_01]: So this is for every space Marine has a genetic imprint that makes him loyal to the stuff all their primarke, but I'll be honest with saying, when is something they need to this his charisma was really read his book. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, his book he gives the greatest pattox speech. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he just shows up and he tells them [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not, I refuse to be your leader until you think I'm worthy of being your leader. [SPEAKER_01]: And you also randomly memorize as all of their names. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's like a hundred thousand of these. [SPEAKER_02]: So he goes and individually needs people. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: He's, he's insanity. [SPEAKER_02]: The good guy. [SPEAKER_02]: By the way, how long that would take? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I just want to put like it's like, you know, hundred thousand seconds is a lot of times. [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's like, if it's one second per. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just playing out like, anybody, it's not important. [SPEAKER_01]: The other thing that's interesting is that the blood rage that had been building throughout the legion went away. [SPEAKER_01]: He's here, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: All the cannibalism, all that stuff, just disappeared. [SPEAKER_02]: Because the space Jesus took away your sense. [SPEAKER_02]: He effectively takes it upon himself. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, this is a big thing, and they say this in the novel itself. [SPEAKER_02]: He does suffer a bunch because he gets a psychic, effectively backlash from all this, the things that they've done, and everything else. [SPEAKER_02]: So San Guinness goes through the trials. [SPEAKER_02]: to basically get his legion back. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, sure. [SPEAKER_02]: He's a pretty bad dude, man. [SPEAKER_01]: The books are good. [SPEAKER_02]: I just, I know, I get my people don't. [SPEAKER_02]: He is a huge Mary Sue because he's so, you know, there's Horace who's here, but like besides Horace, he is so bananas OP. [SPEAKER_01]: And there was just, there's a lot of writing around them, but anyway, post-Sanguinia's joining the ninth legion. [SPEAKER_01]: Now they are the blood angels. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is where the tactics change, everything changes, and they come much more aligned with what modern blood angels are. [SPEAKER_01]: They're still Uber violent in combat, but not, they've moved away from the world leaders' night lord's era to actually being precision. [SPEAKER_01]: When they lightning strike, they hit with a force of a hammer, but with the care of a scalpel. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're no longer just ripping through anything in everyone who's even remotely near the target. [SPEAKER_01]: They're actually winning engagements. [SPEAKER_01]: They're able to follow a battle plan and other people can take part of them. [SPEAKER_01]: From a lower standpoint, though, one of the most important pieces in a come-up later, is Senguenius was viewed as the most, like, [SPEAKER_01]: loyal or trustworthy of all of them. [SPEAKER_01]: So he was very close friends with Horace Lehman and Jagatai. [SPEAKER_01]: He was closest with Horace, actually. [SPEAKER_01]: But that was just his friendship. [SPEAKER_01]: Gilliman refers to Senguinius of one of only four primarks he trusted. [SPEAKER_01]: The lion spokes openly constantly about how fond he was of sanguineus because he viewed him as an equal. [SPEAKER_01]: It came like nobility and honor. [SPEAKER_02]: Sanguineus always does the right thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Even angron liked him. [SPEAKER_01]: Mostly because sanguineus could beat people up pretty. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think lower guard liked him. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to throw that one out there. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think lower guard liked sanguineus. [SPEAKER_02]: He was really just jealous. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is actually that is wildly a hundred percent because [SPEAKER_02]: wanted to worship the emperor and the emperor's favorite pretty much was saying, where is it? [SPEAKER_01]: You know, who was not his favorite? [SPEAKER_01]: Lord, or Jagatai. [SPEAKER_02]: He was out of the out of the eighteen primar X. He was seventeen eighteen. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, twenty second. [SPEAKER_01]: So let's dive into, you know, the blood angels and the heresy. [SPEAKER_01]: So before the official outbreak of the heresy, Horace and his other like plotters sat down to make their plan. [SPEAKER_01]: And one of the most important piece of the plan was who they could turn and who they couldn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Horace immediately says, someone has to kill San Guadillas. [SPEAKER_02]: Also he said, not only do we have to kill them, we have to get rid of him because him, and while he's alive, his legion will never turn. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: So what's interesting about this though is that this stage, there's a keeper of secrets named Kyrus, who is part of their little [SPEAKER_01]: you know, pack pack of conspirators. [SPEAKER_01]: And Chyrus is an interesting isn't because it's a keeper of secrets. [SPEAKER_01]: Chyrus is in it for himself or herself actually or whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: It itself. [SPEAKER_01]: It's called that way. [SPEAKER_01]: Chyrus first taunts Horus claiming that Horus is only is only wants to kill sanguineus because he's afraid that if sanguineus were to turn to chaos, the chaos gods would actually honor sanguineus more than Horus because sanguineus is more powerful than him. [SPEAKER_01]: Boris literally just ignores him, by the way, and moves on with his day. [SPEAKER_01]: But Horace knows something. [SPEAKER_01]: Years earlier, Horace had walked in on Sanguineus killing a blood angel. [SPEAKER_01]: And he, doing it because this blood angel had succumbed to the red thirst and was consuming a random person. [SPEAKER_01]: And so sanguineus killed him because he had to. [SPEAKER_01]: And told Horace this point about the flaw in the energy and see it. [SPEAKER_01]: Horace never told anybody, but obviously it's his knowledge form. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, at the time of the heresy, he uses it to his advantage. [SPEAKER_01]: So Horace tells sanguenious, there's a xenobincursion on effectively the other side of the galaxy from soul. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, we're, we're that the dark angel space wolves and blood angels all got sent to Glam. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The last eggs in the left, Joe there. [SPEAKER_02]: Keep going. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry. [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't miss it. [SPEAKER_01]: Keep driving. [SPEAKER_01]: But what he tells him is not only the Zeno's killing imperial citizens, but they have highly technologically advanced. [SPEAKER_01]: And he, I don't know how he said the big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: He tells him with their technology could help you cure their red thirst. [SPEAKER_01]: As thing which just believes this for no good reason, but it's fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, one of the few, the few flaws that Bigel sang when he has had is he is known to be wildly trusting of his brothers. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Like this, it doesn't even occur to him for a while than any of this could ever happen. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, the person people when he gets there because you know, I'm saying it before because they're because [SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say, Senguinius gets caught up in the plan pretty quick. [SPEAKER_02]: Because he does make basically excuses for every one of his brothers at some point in time. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: You write every time, every time someone is rightfully about to kill one of the primarics for being a jackass, saying, well, it's like, hold up. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's not do it right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, cough, cough, anger on over and over and over. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like, like, both of the same times. [SPEAKER_01]: You see if that anger on everyone, you're looking back on like, where do you go jackass? [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: As soon as the plantals arrive in this system, the massive warp storm just enveloped the entire. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: They are blind to anything but the system. [SPEAKER_01]: But there's space Marines and they're automatons. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're like, well, we're still here to do something and they just go down into the planet to go do that thing. [SPEAKER_01]: As soon as they, but the problem with that planet is, it's not Zeno's incursions. [SPEAKER_01]: It's demons. [SPEAKER_01]: And they bombard them from space. [SPEAKER_01]: Does nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: Does nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: So they do. [SPEAKER_01]: a plan B, which is grab chain sword and go down there. [SPEAKER_01]: And as they're fighting on the planet, there's really nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: They're not really doing anything of value. [SPEAKER_01]: They're telling endless demons and new ones are spawning. [SPEAKER_01]: The keeper of secrets, Kyrus, who is also here, reaches out to sanguineus directly and challenging sanguineus to come and fight. [SPEAKER_01]: effectively, by the way, telling San Guedious all the truth at this moment in time of like, you know, you were betraying you, come, you know, and he's trying to bait him into coming. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's also trying to demoralize him because he tells, you know, your brothers are leaving you, you know, and wants you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no one wants you. [SPEAKER_01]: The, and the Imperium's going to fail because of you. [SPEAKER_01]: And so Sanguineus gets pissed off, grabs a bunch of his buddies and then goes to attack. [SPEAKER_01]: Chirus, as soon as you lands, a very important figure. [SPEAKER_01]: When he lands on the X. The giant X in the ground, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It's clearly a trap. [SPEAKER_01]: He lands and a massive blood therster comes out of the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: named Kavanda, because the truth is corn wanted San Juania. [SPEAKER_01]: Sadly, very badly. [SPEAKER_01]: And so it's actually, I'm not even sure if Kavanda and Kyrus were in Gohuts together. [SPEAKER_01]: It almost feels like in the story that Kyrus was trying to tempt Sengwenius in the way a keeper of secrets would tempt them. [SPEAKER_01]: And as to a Sengwenius landed, Korn sent his best bloodthirsty Kbanda to go and his beat Sengwenius into joining Korn. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of what happens. [SPEAKER_01]: Kbanda kind of beats up Sengwenius. [SPEAKER_01]: Sengwenius stabs him and Kbanda uses a whip. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's more to it than that because he gets [SPEAKER_02]: You get distracted, you know. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a bunch of stuff going on. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on. [SPEAKER_01]: There's stuff going on. [SPEAKER_01]: That's more important than the blood therster in front of you. [SPEAKER_01]: Boom. [SPEAKER_01]: Just pointing it out. [SPEAKER_01]: And we let the book. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: So, Kabanda uses his whip and knocks sanguaries the ground crushing his legs. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a [SPEAKER_01]: after saying when he has had ran in through with his sword. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it didn't work. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, as always, saying we as lands on the ground, Kabanda then runs off in the other direction and kills five hundred space marines. [SPEAKER_01]: And like an instant. [SPEAKER_01]: Once he has [SPEAKER_01]: Sing British on the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: He effectively just tells him, watch me. [SPEAKER_01]: And goes off and kills all these guys. [SPEAKER_01]: The death of all these, you know, his children effectively overwhelm Sanguenius's brain. [SPEAKER_01]: And the second trauma knocks him unconscious. [SPEAKER_01]: So he does that like movie, like, think where he like wipes his forehead and passes out. [SPEAKER_01]: As soon as he does that, this triggers something in his legion. [SPEAKER_01]: and that something is the black rage. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it is pretty good though, because who? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So the entirety of the blood angel legion that's there, begin to lash out and attack, and it's not a blood angel. [SPEAKER_01]: Fun story in that, there were space wolves here, past tense. [SPEAKER_01]: There were also humans here, past tense. [SPEAKER_01]: They all get slaughtered. [SPEAKER_01]: The good news is they do successfully kill almost every demon while this is happening. [SPEAKER_01]: A few blood angel librarians rush over and use their psychic powers to wake sanguineas up, sanguineas wakes up to his entire legion in a blood rage, slaughtering anything around them. [SPEAKER_01]: And sing when you just goes, yeah, Kavanaugh did that and goes and beats the Everland. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Kavanaugh, I think did make them a singing. [SPEAKER_01]: We were like, this guy's not that tough. [SPEAKER_01]: And then took full bore sanguin. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: banished back into the warp, but the blood rage doesn't stop amongst his legion until every last demon is killed. [SPEAKER_01]: At that point, Chyrus is last, so it's laughing and reaches out to Sanguenius. [SPEAKER_01]: And effectively, taunts him by saying, you know, your legion already is chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at it. [SPEAKER_01]: And [SPEAKER_01]: offers him a deal. [SPEAKER_01]: And it says, if you the primar will fully give yourself over to your rage and step through this portal, that's always a portal, I will cure your reach to the reach everyone's, everyone's cured. [SPEAKER_01]: And sanguinius goes, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: and steps forward into the portal, and as he does it, his apothecary shoves him out of the way, again, he's half the size, but whatever, and jumps to the portal first. [SPEAKER_01]: The story is actually pretty cool, the book's called Fear to Tread, so go ahead and read Fear to Tread. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a whole chat between Sanguineus and the Apothecary, but anyway, Sanguineus does not give himself over to Chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: At the same moment, this is enough of an action to kind of reduce the warp storm where a message comes through in its local dawn. [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's favorite. [SPEAKER_02]: Because the power in the real space is on things that are happening. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Death stage. [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever you're [SPEAKER_02]: Your feelings are that is the thing. [SPEAKER_02]: He queld enough of that. [SPEAKER_02]: He calmed his own rage. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, his rage. [SPEAKER_01]: He calms down. [SPEAKER_01]: He also took out an entire demon. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so he did fall to the excess and lure. [SPEAKER_02]: So all of this reduces the power of chaos in this region. [SPEAKER_02]: So it does dissipate. [SPEAKER_01]: And he gets the message in from dawn saying Horace has betrayed us. [SPEAKER_01]: He has allies. [SPEAKER_01]: We need you at Terra so that because they're going to come kill the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: So sanguineus grabs his entire legion that are still left alive, by the way, because a lot of them were dead, grabs with life, and jumps back into terror. [SPEAKER_01]: So fun part about this journey back to terror. [SPEAKER_01]: There is an incredible warp storm happening, not just where sanguineus was, but throughout the entire galaxy. [SPEAKER_01]: They create an error of us for this, but it's really just the chaos gods. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the thing is, is it's the warpstorms are strategically located to block the greatest champions of the Imperium from getting back to defense. [SPEAKER_01]: And we talked about it for the Astronomicon is a giant lighthouse. [SPEAKER_01]: But like any lighthouse, the further you get from it, the harder it is to see. [SPEAKER_01]: And a bigger the storm, you can't see it. [SPEAKER_01]: So as soon as they get into the ships to triangulate and go back to Terra, the navigators don't sing us, we can't see it. [SPEAKER_01]: Like we don't, like we're not sure. [SPEAKER_01]: They're also in the middle of effect of your heart. [SPEAKER_01]: And so they basically pick what they think is their right-ish direction and head that way, hoping to see a light. [SPEAKER_02]: They were not right. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they were going the right direction, but meanwhile, while they're going, ish, ish, there is a, they get the glimpse of a light. [SPEAKER_01]: And they as they believe this is the Ashimama Khan. [SPEAKER_01]: So they turn all the ships and they be line as fast as they can to this. [SPEAKER_01]: And as soon as they get close, they translate out of the warp and find themselves not in Seoul, but in Ultramar. [SPEAKER_01]: And luckily, Gilliman and the Lion are waiting for them there saying, hey, we have to chat. [SPEAKER_01]: What happened was we covered this a while ago, the ultramarines found an old necron relic in their system. [SPEAKER_01]: Big fight goes on, blah, blah, blah, they blow the relic up. [SPEAKER_01]: When they blow the relic up, it creates effectively a supernova within the warp of light. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is what the players were following. [SPEAKER_01]: fun story and that it's also what fan theory is what brought the tear into the galaxy because it was such a bright flash that it actually extended be on the other way in the in the door space yeah and then and everything it things in the dark space saw this and went that's probably food and big and that way so [SPEAKER_01]: This next bit's kind of funny, funny because it is important, but a super messed up story. [SPEAKER_01]: Gilliman has a plan, and his plan is effectively that they don't know if the Emperor's a library dead. [SPEAKER_02]: To be fair, they also see [SPEAKER_02]: what they consider three of the top five guys, or three of the top five legions, and they're not defending Tara. [SPEAKER_02]: So there's decent chance of nothing, that everybody's lost. [SPEAKER_01]: Because they don't know, remember, the warps from so powerful, they can't see the astronomical icon. [SPEAKER_01]: And so, Gilliman has a plan. [SPEAKER_01]: His plan is effectively, and by the way, it's a good plan, because Gilliman always has good plans. [SPEAKER_01]: I like Gilliman, and I'm right about this. [SPEAKER_01]: His plan. [SPEAKER_01]: was the form of new imperium called imperium secundus, not imperium two, but it should have been, but imperium secundus. [SPEAKER_01]: And the plan is basically we're going to all sit right here. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go to the store. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to buy as many boots of muddy ass taking as they have. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go put on said boots. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to beat the crap at a horse. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: Effectively, this, it's, so in periods of kindness was not, was not meant to replace the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: It was meant to honor the emperor by beating the ever-living hell out of whoever killed the emperor. [SPEAKER_02]: But this, this is a hugely detailed plan because yeah, really did make [SPEAKER_01]: a new. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it wasn't just meant to be a, like, a sacrifice. [SPEAKER_01]: He was going to honor the emperor by finishing the work. [SPEAKER_01]: He'd started. [SPEAKER_01]: They were going to go, again, step one, beat the hell out of Horace's buddies, but step two was going to be continue forming the Imperium and growing it all the way out, which is hilarious in this story because well, [SPEAKER_02]: You're effectively saying we're going to choose a supreme leader. [SPEAKER_01]: That never works out bad. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I, but again, Gilman because he's awesome did this right. [SPEAKER_01]: Gilman writes out we need a new emperor and immediately says as the guy [SPEAKER_01]: writing the plan that calls for a new leader, that leader can't be me. [SPEAKER_01]: Because whenever that person is me, that's always a big deal. [SPEAKER_02]: He gets called off of the line. [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, so are you going to lead this? [SPEAKER_02]: And they start arguing, he goes, no, it'll be sanguinea. [SPEAKER_02]: And the line immediately goes, well, yeah, of course. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, good enough, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Never mind. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what? [SPEAKER_02]: I take that back. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's not going to get me. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's not going to get me. [SPEAKER_01]: Kill him and didn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you doing this? [SPEAKER_01]: No, of course I give me. [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be sanguinea. [SPEAKER_01]: It was, it was like, there's no pause there. [SPEAKER_01]: Just, yeah, it's that guy. [SPEAKER_01]: And everyone went, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, [SPEAKER_01]: literally the best practice. [SPEAKER_01]: So I do like this technically the emperor was not dead by the way yet. [SPEAKER_01]: Senguinius was now the leader of a coup d'état. [SPEAKER_01]: This was a full blown coup d'état. [SPEAKER_01]: But oopsies, and they realized it's pretty quickly because we're not going to do it now. [SPEAKER_01]: The books are really good. [SPEAKER_01]: They also randomly capture Conred Curse during this period of time. [SPEAKER_02]: And after who as usual, Conred [SPEAKER_01]: accidentally helps the appearance. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but he probably was doing it on purpose. [SPEAKER_02]: Conrad's a because he talks shit about yet about the fact that you're not going to be able to save the upper and they all three go. [SPEAKER_02]: The emperor still alive and go. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it looks like we're leaving right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's a great part of that story, but Sanguineus was also a pre-cock. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like, like, in the story, like, the comrades, they're like, well, thanks to the Conrad. [SPEAKER_01]: We now know the Empress to alive and saying, when it goes, oh, yeah, I'm also a pre-cog and I also could tell he was alive. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, why are you here? [SPEAKER_01]: So, in period of secundance gets thrown into the garbage and all three primarks take three different routes basically back to terror. [SPEAKER_02]: Like bananas. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Also. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not going to get into it. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a book called ruined storm, which gives you all the stories of the process of them going from one spot of the galaxy to, well, one of them makes it in time. [SPEAKER_01]: The other is don't. [SPEAKER_02]: It's the, it's the planet. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not the planet is making time. [SPEAKER_01]: Spoiler. [SPEAKER_01]: Before they go, though, we need to tell a quick story about a really cool model with, I do hate the hair. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, it's called the sanguineer. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a random wild side story. [SPEAKER_01]: We have to say the Holy Spirit, but continue. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all right. [SPEAKER_01]: So as soon as San Guenius is elected, like in like two seconds, all of people around him were concerned for his safety. [SPEAKER_01]: Because they're worried that a traitorous sass would try to kill him because the truth is he's just a primarck. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not the emperor of mankind. [SPEAKER_02]: He is killed. [SPEAKER_02]: But also it's a big deal because they don't have there was San Guenius. [SPEAKER_02]: And then there was a giant grand canyon chasm of who would be [SPEAKER_02]: better, you know, in this spot. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, so they're like, if this guy isn't here anymore, we are in real trouble. [SPEAKER_01]: And so San Guins, the San Guinius and Larry every chapter master ever has a retune. [SPEAKER_01]: What is this word? [SPEAKER_01]: You got it, right? [SPEAKER_01]: The first time. [SPEAKER_01]: It's retinue. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not retuned. [SPEAKER_01]: It is not retuned, I never. [SPEAKER_01]: That a company him everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: In this case, they were called a sanguinary guards. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're meant to represent both the best warriors and the best strategic thinkers. [SPEAKER_01]: And their idea here is really dumb. [SPEAKER_01]: So they all get together, ten of them, and they draw straws. [SPEAKER_01]: And of the ten straws, two straws have blood on them. [SPEAKER_01]: So after they do that, the two guys holding the blood straws, the other eight leave. [SPEAKER_01]: One of them is chosen. [SPEAKER_01]: His name is Alachron. [SPEAKER_01]: And in order to protect Alachron's true identity, they have Alachron killed the other guy. [SPEAKER_01]: I think so, sons. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know what he's, but like, you could told everyone, hey, that's Alachron. [SPEAKER_02]: I love the, I love most of the Laura. [SPEAKER_01]: They have no, this, this is the kind of thing you do if you're like, well, what if someone got a hold of his family and held his family hostage? [SPEAKER_01]: His family are the blood angels. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's no reason to do this. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, he kills the other dude. [SPEAKER_01]: But then, they also decide to hide as identity even further by taking a massive golden helmet that has curly blonde hair, like perm style. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have a perm. [SPEAKER_01]: You did have a perm, didn't I? [SPEAKER_01]: I did. [SPEAKER_01]: Really? [SPEAKER_02]: I've wildly curly hair. [SPEAKER_02]: If I ain't hair. [SPEAKER_01]: So you were born in seventy-two. [SPEAKER_01]: Seventy-one. [SPEAKER_01]: They born in seventy. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like you're born in seventy-one. [SPEAKER_01]: You're telling me your mom never gave you a perm. [SPEAKER_02]: No? [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: My hair's bananas, girl. [SPEAKER_01]: She's a, well, none of us will ever know. [SPEAKER_01]: I've definitely owned you with hair. [SPEAKER_02]: I've had one centimeter of hair at the entire time. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even sure it's anyone in forty-case and you with long hair. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: Because you were started playing in late nineties. [SPEAKER_01]: You had about thirty years started playing Warhammer. [SPEAKER_02]: That was twenty-nine when I started. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, so yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, it's not important. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, they heat this helmet with a perm on it all the way up until it's a white hot and then place it on Alachron's head. [SPEAKER_01]: So it fuses to his skull permanently. [SPEAKER_01]: All of this is so funny. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and then this is so that he can be the herald for [SPEAKER_01]: Sanguenius, but luckily it's a secret and also as he's supposed to look like, I don't that's why the thing I must be saying where it's like does he supposed to look like sanguenius? [SPEAKER_02]: The sanguenar story now is cool. [SPEAKER_02]: The sanguenar story in the inception makes no sense. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, fast forward on the sanguine art story, while the blind angels are going back to Tara, they end up stuck on Daven, because of course, where they would go, which for those, remember, that's where Horus was converted to chaos, was on Daven, and they're fighting a greater demon for us, blah, blah, blah, blah, greater demon, tries to pull sanguenious into the immaterial, and before we can do it, Alatron, who is, you know, the sanguine art at this moment, rushes in, tackles the demon, and slams it into the immaterial with it. [SPEAKER_02]: just pulls him into the world. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and as he goes down, the sanguine is looks and watches a sanguine are convert over from allotron to the sanguine. [SPEAKER_01]: The sanguine. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the spirit here. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And he shows up on the game. [SPEAKER_02]: He shows up all the time in the lore of the sanguine are shows up [SPEAKER_02]: when the blood angels need them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the sanguine are so at this point, the sanguine is kind of cool because the sanguine are converts over to being like, it's just this mythical being that does appear randomly. [SPEAKER_01]: And to Brad's point, it's either when they're, he's most needed or when they, like, they're most deserving. [SPEAKER_01]: So there was a story I like where twelve blood angels were leading a strike on a night lord battle barge. [SPEAKER_01]: So when we say leading strike, I mean, there are twelve blood angels fighting through a battle barge. [SPEAKER_01]: To be fair, they don't define how large a battle barge is, but it's more than three rooms. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: You might go with several. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, full of night lord space marines and all of their followers and demons. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And demons. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is all because they don't explain why it was a penance that they're basically either trying to die effectively to show their penance. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't get the reason. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, the second one are shows up and fights by their side. [SPEAKER_01]: And they end up fighting the entire way through the ship. [SPEAKER_01]: and killing the commander. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you know, the, of the twelve, eleven of them die. [SPEAKER_01]: But still pretty cool. [SPEAKER_01]: The next one, I like about the sanguine art because Kavanda comes up a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Space Marines are fighting. [SPEAKER_02]: He is pretty pissy about this. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But this story is just more funny because classic, it's classic, you know, GW writing when they, when they write it well. [SPEAKER_01]: The blood angels are fighting orgs on a planet called cartas, while fighting the orgs, a portal opens, and a bunch of demons of corn come flying out led by Kabanda. [SPEAKER_01]: Kabanda just kills instantly kills the captain of the squad and turns to just go rip through with remaining blood angels, at which point as his blade comes down on them, it's parried with the appearance of the sanguineer. [SPEAKER_01]: And these two go into a pretty big fight, but it ends with a sanguine or running cabanda through with his sword, firing off his jetpack, taking cabanda effectively into lower orbit, and then is dropping him. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he archaels him out of nowhere. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, from super cool. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's the sanguine or our story. [SPEAKER_01]: The sanguine are comes up a lot in the later parts of the lore, but I just like those two stories. [SPEAKER_01]: I've been one where I was like, I'm going to help a few of you out. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to kill a demon. [SPEAKER_01]: So, anyway, back to Terra. [SPEAKER_01]: Senguinius and the blood angels make it in time to help out Roguel Dorn and really get everything prepped. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want to know more about how they did it, you can listen to our early cast and the heresy, but I will say Senguinius decides to go on the ultimate. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't have any bubblegum, so I guess I'll just kick some ass journey. [SPEAKER_01]: He does go on the ass, kick you, Palusa. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, [SPEAKER_02]: Also, while he rallies people, multiple times when things were just looking terrible, I don't know, maybe when you take your arch nemesis and you fly above the walls. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's let's go through what's sanguineas like sanguineas is journey on and work ethic on [SPEAKER_01]: the siege of terror. [SPEAKER_01]: So he starts off with this massive speech to all of his, the space means such as his legion, all the, all the guardsmen and just gets these guys, he, those tell them anyone who wants to go home, you guys can leave right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Get some of the, today is not this day. [SPEAKER_01]: I laugh because he's like, if you guys don't want to be here, I understand you're welcome to leave. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, leave would be walk out the gates to where all the gates. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you're up in the stand of the wall and defend the wall or just walk through the wall and die. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't get it. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, that's not important. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a good speech. [SPEAKER_01]: And everyone gets to get super amped up. [SPEAKER_01]: He then, their after cuts the head off a river titan that's just wandering through. [SPEAKER_01]: Still know how that's possible. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, it's just written. [SPEAKER_01]: It would take a long, it's not a small head. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, Kabanda shows up beats there, we're living hell out of Kabanda. [SPEAKER_02]: He breaks his spine over his knee, wait for it. [SPEAKER_02]: After he flies up on top of the gates gives a motivational speech slash talks shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, to the chaos boards, snaps him down and throws him into them. [SPEAKER_01]: Then he takes on Angron. [SPEAKER_01]: Angron rams him through with a spear. [SPEAKER_01]: He grabs a spear, pulls himself closer to Angron the spear, and then grabs a butcher nails and Angron heads and pulls them out, which kills Angron and bashing the warp. [SPEAKER_01]: Then, because he's an idiot, Jagdai. [SPEAKER_01]: He had to go save Jagdai Khan, who decides to leave the perfect safety of the walls, leave a head on charred into the traders for no tactical reason. [SPEAKER_01]: Then after all that, he discovers the Emperor is going to the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, chorus goes hold my it's not him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I might say it's the called that is not a protracted battle. [SPEAKER_02]: He runs in there yells at him and Horace just goes they alluded to the fact that when Horace is so powerful because he's yeah, he's four fantastic chaos. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's full power. [SPEAKER_02]: Horace, but also this is one of his greatest friends. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, so this has to be a horrified moment, but also [SPEAKER_02]: Do you really want to kill? [SPEAKER_02]: What are your dearest friends? [SPEAKER_01]: But I will, I'd actually like that they did that because it makes my, my love of this. [SPEAKER_01]: Senguinius runs in horses Rex's ass, just badly, but that he has to because if, if Senguinius after, [SPEAKER_01]: doing all that fighting, runs in and gives Horace a run for his money, then how the hell did Horace and the emperor have a real fight? [SPEAKER_01]: Because it's just, that's the whole point is that at this stage, the Horace is borderline emperor powerful, and that's why I think when you just never had a chance, it was just wrecked it completely. [SPEAKER_01]: So, Sengwinius is dead. [SPEAKER_01]: As soon as Sengwinius dies, an interesting thing does occur. [SPEAKER_01]: All the blood angels, at least all through terror and the vengeful spirit, it's probably the entire galaxy, like the eight dudes that are not there, by the way, all go into an absolute black rage. [SPEAKER_02]: One that they didn't think they were gonna recover. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because they get psychic backlash. [SPEAKER_01]: It's brutal, and they start slaughtering again, not only the traitor, but also the loyalists who are near them. [SPEAKER_01]: However, the second the emperor destroys Horace, the black-range ceases, and they all come back to their senses. [SPEAKER_01]: But Sengwinius is dead. [SPEAKER_01]: What happens next is Ralderon. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think the guy's name is an epic blood angels captain takes command of the Legion as new chapter master. [SPEAKER_01]: He and this is gets a little bit confusing. [SPEAKER_01]: It says the five hundred remaining blood angels, which I read to say there's only five hundred blood angels left out of they started at a hundred and thirty thousand. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk more about this in the next cast, but it's a little bit confusing of like what these losses look like for them. [SPEAKER_02]: They were taking banana pants. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and the next is terror because they were in every the blood angels were if you go back and like read the horse heresy books in the siege of terror, blood angels are in front of every the everything's hitting the fan. [SPEAKER_02]: They are getting, but they're also getting massacred because they're taking on huge greater deal. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know what, let's stuff like that. [SPEAKER_01]: I think yeah, let's, let's, this is a good place to break. [SPEAKER_01]: So let's break here and we'll talk about what happens next. [SPEAKER_01]: Where, you know, St. [SPEAKER_01]: Wayne has brought back the ball. [SPEAKER_01]: He's entomed as mass, ball, the ball, the planet, not ball, one or ball two, the main planet and ball, one or ball two. [SPEAKER_01]: He's just starting. [SPEAKER_01]: to be all nice in this cast. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we'll set this up. [SPEAKER_01]: Our next cast, we're going to dive into the second founding of the chapter, a lot of the key events of the blood angels, and a bunch of the time of them just trying to find ways to handle their curse, which they've been putting pretty hardcore on the DL. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's gets, we're going to die more the next time. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, being a space main chapter, having secrets is kind of a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: The blooding goes once a week. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's say when this is gone, you had everyone had overwhelming confidence that St. [SPEAKER_02]: Winnie is could probably handle whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, yeah, now he's gone. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Like gone gone. [SPEAKER_01]: So with that, this has been John Barsodian, Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_01]: This guy will see you guys next week. [UNKNOWN]: you
