This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to the WWE podcast show,
the one that everybody wants me. God, I'll stand for sixteen, so
just what your ass is, minn you can acknowledge me? All right,
everybody, Welcome to the Weekend Review, and welcome to the last day of
June, or by the time you listen to this, it's already July.
But as I record this, it's the final day of June already, as
summer is starting to fly by here, and we're also next to another pl
e that is this coming Saturday, and we've got a lot to talk about
with money in the Bank. We've also got a new documentary coming out if
you care about those type of things that WWE puts out, and it's WrestleMania
forty Behind the Curtain. Remember that thing that was supposed to come out like
three months ago and then stopped and then it disappeared and then you were like,
wait, did I miss it? Nope, that's coming out on July
third, if you want the first two minutes of it. By the way,
it's on WWE's YouTube channel, maybe other places, but it's finally out
and I guess that the delay was because of the Rocks team that wanted to
review it and make edits before it was released, So that's apparently why you
know, it took so long for it to finally get out. But you
know, you can't see the first two minutes anyway. If you are that
you know, if you're that anxious to watch it, it's there, and
it certainly seems like it's gonna be interesting. You know, it is perhaps
the very first documentary that really goes into depth about a particular destination, right,
I mean, all WrestleMania is prior to this haven't really been delved into
in this way, in this manner where it's like, hey, yeah,
we're gonna you know, we're pulling back the curtain completely as I mean,
you know, ca fab has been dead forever. But to do this blatantly
about how the process worked is you know, kind of a I don't know
if it's breaking ground, but it's expanding the ground, you know, where
Vince never really did this, and you know, and I think it'll be
a good thing for the business because you get to see for one of the
craziest roads to WrestleMania with the whole Rock Roman Cody Seth thing. We get
to see what they were thinking and the meetings maybe that they had, and
you know, we'll see when the documentary comes out. But I'm I'm not
here to plug that. I get nothing for it, but I know that
a lot of you were looking forward to just as I was. And it
disappeared, and now it's back and it's gonna be released on July third.
Well, back to home base here, I'd like to welcome some new patrons.

I know a couple of you have done that over the last several days.
Discord servers exclusive to those of you who are patrons. It's a little
chat area that you can go to any time, but especially during big events
SmackDown raw even nxt pls, especially great place to go if you want to
converse with other patrons of the show, or more importantly just patreons, just
fans of wrestling. So we'll get to that, well, you can get
to that if you'd like, and we'll get to the weekend review right now.
As you know, I got to talk about the number one store sor
number one story being not Roman Raines's father who passed away, and they did
a nice tribute video and I think did a nice job of paying your paying
tribute to one half of the Wilds moments and Sika, who is obviously Roman
Rais's father. But we're here to really talk about the Wise Man and that's
the number one story. The performance that he put on on SmackDown in Madison
Square Garden was on par with Paul Hayman's brilliance over his career. He hasn't
been flawless, but those performances that he puts out generally are superb. This
one was memorable. This one will be remembered. Paul Hayman, unshaven,
looks like he hadn't slept in two weeks, defies so so tells him he
is not his tribal chief. Solo Soca you saw the results, proceeds to
hit the Samoan spike on Paul Hayman, who goes down That then was a
headbut by Jacob Fatu the trio oh well really the quartet there of the Bloodline
puts Paul Haman through an announced table and the crowd is chanting, we want
Roman now. They pop massive for Paul Hayman when he said, you are
not I'd like to acknowledge that you are not my tribal chief. Crowd lost
their minds over that, because you know, it's the first time that we've
seen any kind of resistance towards Solo for doing what he's done with the bloodline,
making you know, a complete rogue version of it of just kind of
a savage version of it. And Roman. This took another major step towards
Roman Rains' return. That is imminent. It is imminent. It could happen
as soon as this Saturday night, but as late as SummerSlam. We're looking
at that time frame. If you're looking for Roman Rains's return, it's over
the next four weeks. You can pretty much take that to the bank and
it's going to be a megapop. I mean, I think at this point,
the moment that he steps foot back in the company, instantly the biggest
babyface, bigger than Cody Rhodes. And it's really mind blowing to think about
that, because Roman Reigns was the most despised. Uh just fans were had
enough, they were tired of having him be champion and wanted nothing to do
with him. Somebody just take the belt off him, and now here we
are. Roman Rains didn't do a thing other than just leave, and he's
coming back instantly beloved. He is going to be what Vince McMahon was trying
to force him to be for seven years as the big dog. This is
Roman Rains's coronation as a babyface, and I think it's going to be massively
successful. Now Jimmy and Jay are going to be in tow. Jimmy and
Jay, I think, you know, maybe they'll follow after, maybe they'll
come before again. I've heard a lot of great ideas from a lot of
our listeners and others online. Of course, how to do this, how
to get Roman back? You know this has happened after Solo loses to Cody,
or as he's trying to beat Cody cheating. Yeah, how does it
how does this happen? You know, there's really no bad way to do
it. There's only good, great, and epic. It's really hard to
screw it up because fans just want him back. They want to see him
take down Solo Soka, take down Toma Tonga Tonga Loa Jacob Fatu. And
you know damn well that Paul Hayman is also going to get himself back into
the graces of Roman Reigns as he has been. And again we have Jimmy
Jay Roman and Paul Hayman. But who's the other person to you know,
potentially even out the bloodline. Uh well, we'll have to see lots of
potential candidates. I've heard a couple of them from you on the mailbag this
week. There's a there's are there are a few potential candidates. Now then
the rock Where does he fold right? Where does he come in? And
you know, we can we can discuss that as we go to further.
And I've already given a little bit of a preview of what I think will
happen heading into Survivor Series and Rumble and Mania of course next year in Vegas,
but more eminently with Roman Reigns right around the corner. It's just I
can't see anything but an explosion for this guy. It's gonna be, I
mean, especially if it's done and executed as well as I think it can
be. This is gonna rival a lot of return pops that you've seen in
wrestling history. Is it gonna be bigger than an Austin stonecall Sieve Austin return
or a Rock return when he was a megababyface or a Triple H two thousand
and two Madison Square Garden return. Maybe not, okay, but I think
it'll be up there and remembered for a long time. Uh So. Just
I'm anticipating it as much as you guys are, and I never thought i'd
say that, but I think we're all finally read to embrace Roman Reigns as
the babyface that Vince always wanted him to be. Except he's not the big
dog right, He's the tribal chief. He's found a role that fits and
I wouldn't change anything. I don't need him cutting terrible promos. I don't
need him trying to be something that he's not. The fans want the Roman
Reins that they had prior. That's the reason they want him back. They
know what he's capable of, so why are we gonna change who he is?
The fans know who he is. That's what they want, That's why
they're cheering to have him back, that version of him, So don't tweak
it. He's not gonna come out smiling and clapping and doing cartwheels and hugging
fans. I hope he just needs to be who he was before and he
will be instantly the biggest babyface the company has. So it's going to be
really fun to watch how they do this. I would think it's gonna lead
to a solo versus Roman match at SummerSlam, but that's just one of many
ways to go and we'll see. Now. You also have Randy Orton,
Kevin Owens, and Cody Rhodes who have all decided to put any of their
previous differences aside and reunite for the common cause of taking out the Bloodline,
and they did that this week after the Bloodline opened the show and they attacked
them. I think was it Tomatunga or Tonguelow that I put through the table?
And a swanton bomb by Kevin Owens, who just continues to put his
life on the line. Every time he goes out there, it's insane.
The security comes out RKO and security stunners on security. Eventually the NYPD takes
them out and they leave the building. So with Cody Roads though, you
know, Cody is actually kind of an afterthought, and that's okay. He
was such a focal point for so long, it's okay to take a back
seat, well for a while. You wonder how much longer this temporary alliance
with these men is going to last, specifically Randy Orton, you know,
specifically Randy Orton. How does this work? Do they finally pull the trigger
on Randy RKO and Cody to SummerSlam? Do they wait? Is Cody still
involved with the bloodline or does he bow out to face Randy? You know,
I don't know, but we all know you can take that one to
the bank that Cody is gonna get turned on by Randy Orton at some point
somewhere along the line, is that this year they made Maybe they even wait
till next year postmania. Maybe they do, but I don't think they have
the patience to wait that long. And I think it's going to be a
really fun rivalry when you have Cody and Randy. There's a lot of history
with Legacy. Both are good at promos. Cody, i'd give the edge
on the promo stuff. Randy, obviously we know what he can do in
the ring. He's always more fun as a heel anyway, he likes being
a heel better than a babyface. But anyway, I know that had nothing
to do with what happened this week. But as I continue to watch Randy
and Kevin, they're in a good spot facing the number one heel group in
the company. Don't get me wrong, They're not in a bad place right
now in their careers or heading downwards. But it feels like something's about to
change with these three. And Randy's usually the snake in the grass that's about
to strike, you know, pun intended, I guess. So we'll see
what happens. Maybe they wait, maybe they don't. But after money in
the bank this coming week, where does Cody go. I got to have
an opponent for SummerSlam. Who better than Randy Orton? Who better than Randy
Orton? Now you could go against Solo Socoa challenging for the championship, could
do that, you know, But I think that when you look at the
Grand scheme of things. They know that they have in their back pocket.
They know that they have Randy Orton and Cody Rhoads ready to go. That's
gonna be a fun one too. So we're looking a little bit ahead,
talking a little bit about what happened already. But I'm just thinking out right,
thinking ahead, thinking of SummerSlam, already, thinking of WrestleMania as fans.
It's always fun to do. But all right, so let's move on.
Here. We did get, as I said, the hot open of
SmackDown, you know, with the attack on the bloodline, which we went
over, and then we got let's see here, oh, Jade, car
Gil Candicela Ray, Tiffany Stratton. Wwe continuing with their triple threat format for
the Money the Bank qualifiers. I like the format, you know, I
don't mind triple threats better than the tournament that we saw for King of the
Ring, So it's fine with me. So you're thinking to yourself looking at
this, going all right, all right, all right, Well, you
know one of these women is not like the others, right, you know,
Jade is untouchable right now when it comes to losing clean. Tiffany's been
on the rise the fans seem to really enjoy her and have a genuine connection
with her, and has been on the on the rise for a while.
And Candis Loray is kind of the ugly duckling here, so to speak,
metaphorically, right, not physically, and she has been kind of just there.
Right, if you're a Candas Loray fan, tell me something significant she
has done that has been meaningful in the last six months. Meaningful not just
oh, she had a victory, Well, what does that mean? Doesn't
mean anything? Or is it just to get a victory. I can't name
one thing she's done. I think the most the most notable thing that has
happened in her career was actually an accident. Michael Cole calling her Candace Michelle
is probably the most relevant thing that has happened to her in the last six
months. And it's not a slam on her, it's just the way it's
been. So when I look at this troubled threat, I'm saying to myself,
Okay, whoever wins this, clearly this is going to Candace Loray taking
the pinfall. And that's exactly what happened. And that's okay, It's okay,
So you knew, right, off the bat, you could eliminate one
of three women from consideration. It's like taking a test. Now you have
three or four answers, you usually can eliminate one or sometimes two if you're
lucky, so you're left with a fifty to fifty shot. It's kind of
the same deal here. You look at it, Oh yeah, no way,
it's Candase Loray. And you knew that Tiffany Stratton is probably the more
likely candidate, only because she's the one that is can needs more of a
boost than Jade does. Jade is an anomaly of onto herself where she can
just throw herself into a title picture at any point and the match I think
would be a bit of an exposure to Jade. Now, she still may
get herself involved somehow, you know, I don't know how they don't have
a pl right now without Jade Cargill or you know, maybe they don't.
She has to be involved in SummerSlam in some capacity, but maybe it's not
and they they don't have plans for her at this moment for her to be
involved at Money in the Bank. Tiffany Stratton is a better candidate, I
think, and it made sense. Candis Larray taking the pinfall here, NYA
Jack's getting involved helping Tiffany Stratton. Bianca Belle Air follow to try to support
Jade, and Tiffany ended up pinning candicell Ray in nine minutes in twenty one
seconds. Yeah, all right. So we then have Paul Hammond explaining to
Solo that Cody and Ko and Orton were removed from the building. So you
know, co Solo did tell Hayman that we're gonna make it official later tonight
that you're my wise man, obviously foreshadowing. Okay, then we got a
New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, and Halliburton wore a Tyres three seventeen shirt.
Okay, I am not I have to say, I am not a
NBA Yeah, I'm not a database of NBA knowledge to say the very least.
I've heard the name Jalen Brunson before because I listened to sports radio,
but I don't really pay hench In too much. So when I see this,
I mean, obviously the Madison Square Garden crowd's going crazy because he's a
New York Nick. But I have no clue who Haliburton is. I'm sure
a lot of us who don't watch NBA. It's like the fourth sport in
the company or in the United States. So they're they're like pretending they're going
to have a fight, and I'm sitting at myself going, hey, please
don't save us, spare us whatever you guys are about to do physically,
please let's not do it, because you know, it would have looked terrible,
it would have been embarrassing, like, let's not go there. And
they didn't, thank god. But it was it was, you know,
a nice little, I guess kind of boost for Paul Logan Paul in this
matchup, and also just having some fun with the local crowd with having a
New York Knick star involved with WWE, Like that's it's pretty crazy, right
Like if you're a New York Knicks fan and you know jayl and Brunson,
then you know this is kind of a wild crossover of worlds. But anyway,
the match here was Logan, Paul Santos and l A. Knight in
a money in the bank qualifier. LA Knight finally gets his hands on Logan
Paul and this ended up being a victory for none other than l A.
Knight. Yeah, that's true, and he ended up winning it. I
think it's the right move. I think it's the move that a lot of
us thought was going to happen last year, with La Knight in the money
in the bank, you know, and actually winning it. I know he
almost won it last year, but this time I think he has a pretty
good shot at winning it. We'll have to look at the rest of the
field as it plays out. I think there are only a couple spots.
Are there any spots left? Think a couple for the men and women.
So this is a you know, this this match was really good. Anything
else Logan Paul's involved with is just I mean, it's always really good.
Santos Escobar brings a kind of a nice louta libra style l A Knight,
a more straightforward brawler with power. Logan Paul the every man. You know,
he can wear and do anything. So this is a fun match,
and Knight slamming Paul's head into the announced table was satisfying. You know,
the brass knucks getting involved as they do. But La Knight defeated Santos and
Logan Paul at twelve minutes and eighteen seconds, and it was interesting that Knight
pinned Logan Paul. Now, as I'm speaking about this, my concern if
you want Ella Knight to win the Money the MC Gladder match, I think
I have a major concern the fact that La Knight pinned Logan Paul here to
qualify to get into the match. They lend itself to Logan Paul, paying
l A Knight a visit at Money in the Bank and costing him the match.
So look be on the lookout for that. As I just said the
results of this match, it reminded me of what I think may happen come
Money in the Bank. And we'll have our full preview and predictions show,
by the way, later this week on the PL E weeks. I tend
to combine my mail bag and pl predictions so into one big mega show.
That's probably what I'll do again this time around. Based on my schedule it
seems to be working pretty well. But yeah, so this was a fun
match. Ll A Knight winning I think is just a way to probably get
the Logan pall in La Knight for the US title after Ellie Knight's is probably
screwed by Logan Paul at Money in the Bank. All right, So we
then had Indy hartwell versus Blair Davenport versus Naomi fro Money in the Bank qualifier,
probably what the eighteenth Money to Bank Triple Threat qualifier. It feels like
in the last several weeks, so, you know, but here's the thing,
it sounds like I'm patronizing we or complaining that there's been so many I
would take this in a repetitive format over Vince's style of throwing people in for
no explanation. How do they even earn this? They're just here? How
many times you guys hear me say that on this show Under the Vince McMahon
regime, under his watch, you know, people would just show up in
matches and it's like, how did this even happen? You know, if
we're supposed to feel like that person earned it, well, then show us.
Don't have us just fill in the blanks that somehow they magically earned it
by you putting them there. You know. So I think Triple H has
done well, not perfectly, and I don't expect perfection has generally improved drastically
on the issue of how do people earn spots in WWA, like in matches,
you know, how do they get there? And I think that that's
been a nice, a nice effort to kind of resolve that issue. Okay,
so this match up here with Indie Hartwell, Blair Davenport, and Naomi
for Money in the Bank qualifier, it's okay. I didn't think it was
the smoothest match in the world. There were some moments of confusion here with
Davenport Naomi. Naomi in her own right is not the most technically sound wrestler.
She just isn't. I mean, she she's fun, she's got a
likable personality, she's got a good look. But you know, Naomi is
Naomi, like you know, you know, you don't expect a you know,
a forty five minute wrestling clinic with her. But she's she's fine.
But there were some kind of confusing moments, and that could be a lot
of just not used to working with Davenport specifically. But this ended with Naomi
winning, defeating Blair Davenport, Indie Hartwell in ten minutes, which really kind
of surprised me because Naomi, you know, she probably doesn't have a great
chance of winning, and usually usually money in the bank is the matches themselves
anyway, are geared more towards helping younger talent, get noticed, give them
an opportunity in a big spot. There's six spots to fill. Let's put
some younger talent in, like Blair Davenport, right, like Indie Heartwell.
And they didn't. No, we don't know if they can qualify last second.
Maybe there's a second chance triple threat with all the losers in a triple
threat. Maybe that's what happens. But this match is okay. I mean
Jade Cargill ended up walking back out and getting her revenge on Heartwell, sending
her into the ring post for messing with her match, and Naomi landed a
Bubba bomb and rolled her into a pinfall and got the victory. So,
by the way, Jade Cargill didn't get the biggest reaction from the Madison Square
Garden crowd. I don't think they have felt that Jade has earned their respect
yet. And Madison Square Garden is a notoriously tough place to work, as
anyone will tell you. So while Jade didn't get booed, I don't think
she got the monster reception that some people were hoping for. In a big
market town or not town city, My god, New York's not a town,
it's like one hundred towns in one. So all right, let's go
to the street profits and Pretty Deadly are gonna happen next week. They got
into a bit of a kerfuffle backstage. The returned I mean of Pretty Deadly
got a decent pop from the crowd at MSG. I mean, they seem
to be pleasantly surprised that they were both there, that that Pretty Deadly was
there. So I don't know if I take that and really run with it.
It was just an observation. And let's see, we got a video
showing the brawl that happened over the opening show, and then we got to
the main event, which we all know what happened there with Paul Hamon getting
put through a table. Now here's what I will say. The reports are,
if you haven't seen them already, that Paul Hayman actually sleep deprived himself
to commit to the role here. Now, there's not a lot of effort
in not shaving, that's I mean, as a guy, you literally just
don't do anything and you grow a beard for most guys anyway, but to
commit yourself, if it's true, to sleep deprivation so that he would actually
look the part too, and be convincing. This guy's on another level.
Now. It's also very possible that he got eye drops. It's also that
is equally possible that you can make your eyes red with eye drops as an
irritant that'll flush away and won't hurt your eye. Those exist, you know.
So it's possible too that it was just something benign and he didn't actually
sleep deprive himself. So I don't know what story we're gonna run with.
I'll go with the assumption that he actually sleep deprived himself because Paul Haymond seems
like that kind of guy to do that, to commit to this role,
in knowing how big this moment would be and knowing that the camera would be
close up on his face, he wanted to be very convincing. It was
very convincing. That look is U I mean, it's I almost want to
take that look. I think I made it. The picture on my Patreon
for this week, for this show was Paul Haman's face, his unshaven,
bloodshot eye's face, with a moment that he realized he's about to get his
ass kicked by Solo Sokoa, not acknowledging that he's his travel chief. That
is a freeze frame that you want to keep and frame and mean literally just
if you're a wrestling fan, you want it on your wall because that is
a master class in committing or dropping into the role that is Paul Haman just
putting on a clinic showing you how it's done. And enjoy the moment.
Guys, you know, enjoy Paul Hayman while he's here. I'm not saying
he's dying or going anywhere, but you know, you just never know,
and I think we should appreciate just how damn good this guy is. Okay,
he just is otherworldly when it comes to pulling you in, and you
know how you're pulled in. You know when you're pulled in. There's always
a time you know you're pulled in. It's when you don't know that you
are, because you get lost. You don't think about anything around you,
not think about what's going on in your life, what's going on with your
work, what's going on in your personal life. Nothing, You're just concerned
about what's happening in this fantasy land. And Paul Hayman is a master,
a Jedi master at doing this. Not always He's not again, not flawless
I'm not putting this guy up on this pedestal that we should all bow at
the altar of but he is and continues to show you that he can turn
it on at any time and pull you in. So again credit to him.
Credit to Solo. Well, I don't think is also going to get
enough credit. He had some great body language too. I have nothing against
Solo, but Paul Hayman obviously overshadowed him, or five o'clock shadowed him.
See what I did there? All right, it's like, but this was
a great segment that again furthered the steps towards a Roman return. So anyway,
just masterful, excellent way to end the show. Tons of heat on
Solo, tons of heat on Jacob Fatu and the Tongans. It's just it's
been a very very nice, relatively easy to understand post WrestleMania build to this
rogue bloodline. It's it's been generally a pleasurable experience, and we were not
even close to the end of it. You know, every time that we
think we're done, and I've said this I don't know how many times too,
you know that I'm done with the bloodline stuff. Can we move on
somehow? Right. When we're at that point, they do something where you're
thinking to yourself, oh, well, that's true, we haven't explored this,
all right, what do you got for me? And the next thing
you know, you're you're begging for the next chapter of the Bloodline. And
here we are again. We're at that same place that we were that we
never thought we'd really be back to during the days of just the monotony of
the og Bloodline with Roman coming out and Jimmy's there and Solo's there and Paul
Hammond's cutting his promos about beating whoever he's going to beat, and here comes
Jay. Jimmy and Jay are fighting we you know, will we? And
it was just this thing over and over, oh civil war. It's like,
can we move on? And then we did. But now we are
in it's not even like a new chapter. It's like we're reading a sequel
to the the best selling Bloodline story. It feels like a whole different book.
So anyway, I think it's it's just it's been great. It's been
great. So all right, let's talk about a little bit of anyway about
money net raw and then we'll kind of wrap it up. As they say,
and we'll go to the I don't want to talk too much about details
of Raw, but McIntyre came out and said that everyone was talking about how
he quit last week and they're not talking about that now, and he prayed
for this. I love that, So it's one of the best lines he
made. It happen and McIntyre said he's done with the fans who've been chanting
Punk's name for months. And McIntyre, if you remember, had the little
bracelet on that he stole from Punk and he equated it to essentially carrying his
family on his wrist, which was great. And he called his dog stupid
looking dog Larry, and a Larry chant broke out. It was crazy.
Yeah, shame on the fans, though, Shame on the fans for chanting
for for a dog. No, I mean, uh, let Mac mcintarre's
is brilliant. I don't know what it is that the fans and they're they're
I don't know, incessant need to be cheering for dogs, you know,
I mean Cody Rhoads. That's all we need is uh, you know,
Cody Rhoads's dog getting a chant. But oh, there's one thing I want
to bring up. At the end of the show about Cody Rhodes that was
actually off air with Kayleb Braxton. I want to talk about that can in
the show. I can't be too positive, guys. I'm going I feel
like I'm gushing with positivity tonight and I got to balance this out. Something's
not right with me. So don't worry. There'll be some negativity at the
end of the show. You already know what I'm going to say if you
have heard my show before. But uh, I can't end on a good
note. I don't want to make people feel good ending the show. I
want to make them feel uncomfortable and annoyed. You know. That's the That's
the key to success here for a podcaster. You want to leave your fans
not wanting more but trying to hit the skip button. So I'll do that
and accomplish that in a few moments. But to finish up raw, we
did get again nice promo from McIntyre. The build to Punk and McIntyre has
been done very nice. Chad Gable is shown alive, which is funny.
He even made reference that later in the show that he can't be killed.
Let's see, we had Bron Brager versus Ludwig Kaiser, with Breaker and Kaiser
ending in a no contest with Seamus involved. Here, that's was really the
cause. Dominic was eating chicken nuggets or whatever he was eating backstage, and
they were all playing WW two K twenty four, which, by the way,
I have not played at all. And I don't mean that as a
flex as the kids say. I mean that as kind of a you know,
confession. So I just I haven't had time. It's the only wrestling
video game we he has put out in the last like twenty years. I
haven't played at all. All right, So the dom and Live thing continues
to play out. Carlito is yeah, suggesting that you know, he should
see what's going on with liv and car. Carlito is kind of being an
unsung hero here, all right. Then we get Lyra Valkyria, Shannon Basler,
and Kyrie Sayane in a triple threat for the you Guessed It Money the
Bank qualifier. Lyra Valkyria beat Kyrie Saye and Shannon Basler in eight and a
half minutes, so she qualifies, and let's see Live Morgan's backstage. She's
got a Daddy's Girl T shirt, which is funny. So there's even a
comment, I think she put it on social media, something about her taking
Rhea's sloppy seconds, and Liv was saying, how she you know, she'll
take thirds and fourths and fifths and sixth and sevenths, right, So it's
kind of a good rebuttal that she'll you know, take them over and over
again. It doesn't matter. So that was that was good and Live is
just i mean, from where she was being, you know, a complete
undersized over achiever to being a focal point and a bright spot of money net
raw is. Yeah, it's great. It's good for her, It's really
it's good for her and for fans, it's kind of like, oh,
we finally found a spot that Live feels the most comfortable in. It feels
like she's found herself and I'm sure Live would concur with that. It feels
like Live is in her, in her, in her her groove, and
it's it's really fun to watch. And it also just like Roman's return,
although not to that extreme, builds to Rhea's return, and builds to that
anticipation of the moment when Rhea finally gets a hold of of Live and what's
she gonna do All right, Vega and Live Morgan had a nice little spat
back and forth, and Vega I don't think she gets the credit she deserves
either for how good she is on the mike. I've been a fan of
hers for years. I've been singing her praises for years. She had some
nice one liners. She came up with the sloppy second stuff, which was
always you know, I think that that might be a stick like in other
words, that might stick around. I should say for a while, that
could be a T shirt. The sloppy seconds thing could be a T shirt,
It could be a chant. Sloppy seconds is something that I think is
going to hang around. If it doesn't, I'll be surprised. But it
feels like it's one of those things that she might have caught onto something here,
all right. So then we got Chad Gable versus Bronze, Strowman versus
Bronson Reed and you yep, yep, yep, yep is a triple threat
qualifier for money in the bank, because that's all that's on the line right
now for triple threats. We got Chad Gable beating Bronz and Reid and Strowman
in eight minutes and twenty five seconds after he executed a top rope moon salt
on Reid. So the moon salt maybe he took a page at Tivity Stratton's
book is now finishing matches. It's a nice thing to see, all right.
So we then had the wide six lights wind down thing occur and we
ended up getting a Nicky Cross masked. Nicky Cross put some kind of box
on the desk of Michael Cole which was a VHS tape that said play me,
and they did play it, and it was you know this this video
of Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdie. So again, I think it's their symbolic
play on the fact that there are two people but one is talking to the
other, and it's maybe a visualization of the struggle that's going on in his
mind. I don't think they're actually two separate characters. That that's not I
think what they were going for there, But you know, talking about I'll
struggle, how he struggled with his brother's passing, and that they finally got
to do something together and it was ripped away from us. And it feels
like it felt like real pain from Odallas there, which I'm sure it was.
You can't fake that stuff. It was a very effective a very effective
piece of video there. And the fact that it was a VHS some just
adds something to it, like it felt very blair witchy, you know in
a way. And it was a good that's a good thing. By the
way, Chad Gable is about to join with Julius Brutus Creed and Ivy Nile.
I mean he came into contact with them very briefly. I'm raw,
it was like a few seconds and I think we're off to the races here.
Women's tag team champions Albafire and iylid On take on Katana Chance and Kayden
Carter in a non titled match. This was five and a half minutes or
so, with the champions of alba Fire and nylid On winning. And let's
see Live. Morgan was in Judgment Day's clubhouse and the only person that was
there is he was leaving or she was leaving? Was you guessed it?
Live? I'm sorry, Balor Finn Balor, So, I don't know what's
going on there. We'll see, let's see we have then Rollins coming out
and he said he wasn't there to run down priest and he has a lot
of respect for him, but he doesn't appreciate being one upped. And then
Priest, you know, comes out and said that well, actually he was
already out there. Rolin said if Priest wins, he'd get a wish,
his wish and that Rollins won't challenge for the title again as long as Priest
was champion. But Priest loses. If he loses, he's out of the
judgment day. So pretty high stakes here, and Gunther comes out and join
them and just kind of is like a reminder like, hey, guys,
I'm here. The winner is not going to be really a winner because they're
going to have to face me at SummerSlam. All right, let's see here,
we got Carrying Cross and Kofee Kingston with Carrying Cross beating Kofe Kinkson in
five minutes and fifty seconds. We got then Awesome Truth, the mis and
Our Truth versus Finn Baler and j D McDonough for the World Tag Team titles.
And this ended with new tag team title Tag Team Champions Infann Baler and
j D McDonagh in about twelve minutes. So this match happened thanks to Live
Morgan. So Live Morgan is trying to get on the good side of the
entire Judgment Day, to endear her heart to them, to get them to
at least open up to her, to really destroy everything that rear Ripley is
and was. So you just take everything that she had, Take her spot
in the Judgment Day, take her man, take her title. It's a
promo that's being crafted as we speak, and I think it's going to be
a very also a very big explosion when Rhea does come back. Summer Slim
is going to be a fun damn time around these parts. There's so much
to look forward to with big returns. I mean, we didn't even mention
the Rock. We didn't even mention brock Lesner, for God's sake, who
I think is coming back at some point, you know. So there is
just so much to really think about and look forward to as we get closer
to not just SummerSlam, but more importantly closer here or more immediately money in
the bank. My god, I'm looking right now at a close up of
Paul Hayman's face. I mean, the guy looks like he's unhealthy. He
looks unhealthy. I mean I want to admit him to the hospital in a
real way. Here and you know what, credit to him for taking a
bump at what's sixty years of age. He doesn't need to do that.
The guy doesn't need to be doing this stuff, even though they are quote
unquote safe bumps and they probably didn't hurt too badly. The guy is also
not equipped to take bumps. That's not what he does. He doesn't throw
his body at the ground for a living. He doesn't train to take bumps.
I understand that he took the safest ones he probably could take, but
you're still putting your body through a table. You know, there's still some
bumps and bruises that come with it. So there and then risks that come
with it. So I give Paul him and all the credit in the world
as I started the show with. Now I told you all this positivity feels
like I'm in the New Day. It makes me sick. I want to
talk about Cody Rhads now. He cut a decent promo and SmackDown and actually
attack the security guards, which goes against his moral compass because you know,
security guards are just doing their job. But then you know, Kayla Braxton,
as we all know, is on our way out. I think she
had her final SmackDown last night. I don't know what her future ventures are.
I don't know. I don't know what she's gonna be doing. We'll
find out. She could be another company, could be starting her own podcast.
I mean, who knows. We'll find out in short order. But
Cody Roads after the show, and this is on cell phone video and you
know, we're floating around, comes out and talks about what a great human
Kayla is and gives her, you know, a round of applause and gives
her a quick little interview, and it's like, this is the kind of
crap are we supposed to be proud of this guy? Nothing against Kayla.
I'm not saying she doesn't deserve time to, you know, be admired by
fans. No, no, no, it's that Cody is the like the
every man who's sickeningly nice to everyone and trying to set example for what a
champion should be. And it's just it's, I don't know, it's phony.
To me, it's phony. It's performance. It's and I know this
whole thing's a performance, but that wasn't he you know, Sometimes he comes
out shakes the hand of everyone at ringside, including the ring announcers and the
the the commentators and the timekeeper. And look, I'm like the guy your
work that even talks to the janitor. I think that's what's in his mind.
He's trying to be the guy that doesn't look at status or title and
talks to everyone no matter what. And I understand there is some there's that's
that's admirable, but when you're doing it in the world of pro wrestling,
I don't want to watch a soft little man. And I you know,
hey, I'm not tall. I mean in a not not physically, but
in a like I guess, masculine sense, little little man do all these
things that are just so heartwarming And alway, isn't he just such a nice
guy? And let me come out with my suit and shake everyone. No
one's below me. Everyone is just you know, is on equal footing to
me, just me. Again, that sounds like what he actually is in
person. So this is probably why it's coming across so annoying to me,
because it feels authentic. Again, it isn't like, what do you mean,
Kayla Braxton deserves a chance, sure, fine, But to Cody had
to be the one to do it, did he really why did Cody have
to be the one to do it? Bring out Paul Lavek. He's been
wanting to get on TV a lot lately, throw his ass out there and
do it. Why not it makes more sense for Triple H to do it
than Cody Rhodes. I don't know, But what do I know? The
fans continue to cheer him, But I'm with Taker. If you haven't seen
an Undertaker's interview with Chris van Vliet, he has said, and this isn't
the first time he said this, but he continues to reiterate that Cody Roads's
best days are going to be as a heel. I one hundred percent concur
with that. It's not gonna be soon, but it's going to be at
some point in our lifetimes that Cody Roads will be healed and it's going to
be much more tolerable and fun when he is actually a heel, because I
think that's what in who he is at his core, not as a bad
person per se, but he's got all these traits that are just so obnoxious.
So anyway, I told you guys, if you stuck with me there,
I had to leave on a bad note. I have to leave you
annoyed that I continue to complain about Cody, because that's uh no, that's
the way I roll. I don't want to leave people feeling gushy and good
about the show. I want you to be tempted to throw me a one
