714: 10 Trends for Week 12

He's been back for three games now since that injury, and two of those three games have resulted in pretty bad fantasies totals, and really the only reason he scored eighteen Ppero points in his return was because he found the end zone twice. But if you want some optimism, in Week eleven, Patterson saw fifty three percent of Atlanta's running back rushes. That's his highest mark since Week three, and he had an eleven percent target share, which was just the second time he hit a double digit percentage target share this season. Tyler Aljear did play more snaps this past weekend, but it's at least a somewhat positive sign for Patterson. I made reference to Terry McLaurin on yesterday's fifteen Transaction Show when talking about Curtis Samuel I just want to share with you guys how much better he's been with Taylor Heinike. Heinike took over the offense in Week seven. In Washington's five games with Heinike, mclaurin's averaged fifteen point two PPR points per game in a target share per game over thirty two percent. That's crazy. Before Heinike, he was averaging four fewer Fantasy points per game. His target share per game was sixteen and a half percent. Remember, with Heinike it's thirty two percent. There's no doubt that the quarterback switch has helped Terry McLaurin. Miles Sanders has been pretty rough in Fantasy over the last couple of weeks. He scored about eleven total PPR points against Washington and Indianapolis. He's now seen just three targets over his last five games, and he hasn't seen more than one target in a game since Week five. That's something that we knew would sort of be the case for Miles Sanders, but it's still a problem. Nonetheless, the Eagles actually have the lowest running back target share in the NFL. Philly doesn't have amazing matchups upcoming either. Sanders can be serviceable, but it's clear that he won't hit a reasonable ceiling without a touchdown. The Jets said they were going to use Elijah More a little bit more in the slot, and that's what they did. In Week eleven, he played almost seventy percent of his snaps from that area of the field according to Next Gen Stats, when his season long number up until that point was about thirty percent, and that resulted in a twenty percent target share, just the second time this season he's hit a twenty percent target share. The issue is that he's still playing behind Denzel Mims, and that's going to be Corey Davis. When Davis returns, He's probably not all of a sudden going to become someone that you can rely on in fantasy football, especially with how Zach Wilson's playing. People are upset about Christian McCaffrey's workload with the forty nine Ers, and I get that to some degree. The forty nine Ers blew out the Cardinals on Monday Night, so we saw backups in that game in the early parts of the fourth quarter, and that resulted in just a thirty three percent running back rush share for Christian McCaffrey. But in PPR formats. He's still more than fine. He's great. Imagine a world where the forty nine ers are in a more competitive environment and he's seeing more looks on the ground as a result, because that's gonna end up happening. What's important is that his target sharers have been incredibly good since joining San Francisco. Over the last three weeks, he's averaging a target share per game of almost twenty seven percent. He's been a top twelve running back in PPR leagues in each of his last three I would not be panicking if I had Christian McCaffrey. Now, speaking of the forty nine ers, don't sleep on Jimmy Garoppolo as a strong rest of season option. He's actually been pretty good over the last month and a half. He's averaging eighteen point four fantasy points per game since Week four, and that number has been nineteen point seven where Christian McCaffrey's pl significant snaps and the thing is a courting to my adjusted fantasy points allowed numbers. The forty nine ers have the seventh best schedule rest of season. They had the sixth best one in the fantasy playoffs. I actually think that you could consider Jimmy g as a low end QB one in fantasy. At the very least, he's a high end QB two. The Broncos offense is just so broken on the season. No team has fewer offensive touchdowns than the Russell Wilson led Broncos. I never thought that I would be saying that there are actually two touchdowns behind the next closest team. Jamal Williams himself has one fewer touchdown this year than the Denver Broncos offense, and that's having an obvious effect on everyone. Courtland Sutton has hit a twenty five percent target chair over his last two games. That's great usage, but he's ranked as a wide receiver three in both of those contests because he can't find the freaking end zone. Russell Wilson this past week became the first quarterback this season to face the Raiders and not have a passing touchdown. This trend is just saying that the Denver her offense is totally broken, and even when players are seeing volume like Latavius Murray's about to see, it's hard to be totally excited. The Cardinals were without zach Ertz for the first time on Monday Night, and rookie Trey McBride ended up seeing pretty strong usage. He ran thirty two routes when DeAndre Hopkins was at thirty five, just for some context, and he saw four targets. They weren't great targets, but he at least had relatively decent usage. If you're in desperate need of a tight end, which many of you are, I wouldn't be surprised if he gives us some decent performances through the end of the year. Arizona's got a decent schedule for tight ends from here on out. When look at my adjusted fantasy points a loud method, Sky Moore got a little bit more run. On Sunday night with all the injuries of the Chiefs wide receivers Juju Smith, Schuster and Miquel Hardman were out, and then Kadarius Tony was hurt early in that game, Moore ended up seeing six targets. That was the second highest mark on the team, behind only Travis Kelcey. The problem is that he ran only fourteen routes. From some perspective, Justin Watson ran thirty four. The hope would be that this high targets per route run rate gets Sky more on the field a little bit more, but do know that his actual usage them throwing him on the field, it was unfortunately not as good as the box score indicated. The last trend this week is about the Steelers and Pat Fryermouth. He saw an even higher percentage of his snaps from the slot in week eleven than he did in Week ten. In week ten, without Chase Claypole, Freiermuth played thirty nine point four percent of his snaps from the slot. In week eleven, that number jumped all the way up to fifty two percent. He's now seen target shaars of twenty seven percent and thirty two percent over his last two games. Those are incredible numbers for a tight end and both of those games were without Chase Claypole.
