Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour.

00:00:05
Speaker 2: I'm Rachel and I'm Cheerity, and today we have a very special guest. Everyone, please welcome from Grant season Letilla.

00:00:13
Speaker 3: Hello.

00:00:15
Speaker 4: Thanks having me listen. We are so excited to chat.

00:00:19
Speaker 2: I feel like I haven't seen you since was it Zach and Katie's wedding. It's been a meeting December. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's been a long time. But you are glowing and house life life is good.

00:00:33
Speaker 5: It's the holidays are over, so I feel like I'm finally like getting back into my routine, doing my news resolutions, just getting everything tight ready.

00:00:44
Speaker 4: For Sorry, what are your New Year's resolutions?

00:00:47
Speaker 5: I'm trying to be more social. I was kind of a little bit of a recluse. I was a stay home girl last year and it was so fun. It was so nice. But I'm ready to get out there a little.

00:01:00
Speaker 4: But this year, I love that. I think your way.

00:01:04
Speaker 3: To care about it me too.

00:01:07
Speaker 1: I mean, we have so many questions for you today. I'm first of all, so excited to have you on because I don't know if we've met.

00:01:13
Speaker 3: We haven't. I have always been a Rachel Rekia fan.

00:01:17
Speaker 1: Oh my god, thank you so much. Of course, I'm a huge Latia fan. I have been doing a deep dive on all things you this morning. But first I know that you and Charity are friends. How did you guys meet?

00:01:32
Speaker 5: So Charity and I met because Katie Bigger came and did a chat with me the week of Fantasy Suites and I hit it off with Katie. She was like one of the first people that I called when I got home, uh from filming, and so we just got close.

00:01:51
Speaker 3: And then there was like.

00:01:53
Speaker 5: A trip they went on in Montana, so I was like, oh, you guys are kind of in my neck of the woods.

00:01:57
Speaker 3: And they let me come. Yeah, all the girls from Zach season.

00:02:01
Speaker 5: We're on that Montana trip for Jess's birthday, and so I got to Charity.

00:02:07
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:02:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was like our first little interaction and obviously we were chatting all the things, so just having some good quality girl time.

00:02:16
Speaker 3: But it was a memorable.

00:02:17
Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely was.

00:02:21
Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. That was before Grant season was airing, right or was it during I.

00:02:27
Speaker 3: Think it was like right as it was airing. I'm trying to remember.

00:02:30
Speaker 5: I feel like, yeahs birthday in February. Yeah, so it would have started in January. I think so it had maybe we were a few weeks into the season.

00:02:39
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Yeah, it's all a year ago.

00:02:42
Speaker 3: It's a year ago. Yesterday was.

00:02:45
Speaker 1: It feels like longer than a year somehow. But I think it's because your season just like keeps coming up. Like I feel like it is the topic of conversation all time.

00:02:55
Speaker 3: It's a thing that won't go away.

00:02:59
Speaker 1: True, speaking of I don't know if you saw, well, I mean, there's so many things we were literally talking about this before, but Juliana was just on Happy Hour and she was talking about it again, and I know she had a couple of things to say about it.

00:03:13
Speaker 3: Did you say it? No, I didn't. I did see that she was on. I did see that she was on. I don't know what you're gonna say.

00:03:20
Speaker 1: Well, I was just curious if you heard it, because I went back and listened to it. I know that she was talking to Joe and Serena. So this is before Charity and I were on. But she was talking a little bit about fantasy suites, and I guess some speculation around that as well as the aftermath of everything. I guess you guys don't talk then, and we.

00:03:41
Speaker 3: Do not see what she said?

00:03:42
Speaker 5: No, huh huh, Yeah, no, I heard that she was on I heard that she was unhappy with something that I said on a podcast. I'm unclear on what specifically she was talking about. I think I think I said that Grant was talking about their fantasy suite and she didn't like that I was repeating it, which is fair, like, I mean, it's a.

00:04:07
Speaker 3: Sensitive subject and yeah, totally.

00:04:09
Speaker 5: It's like I think there's no right way, like no one knows. There's so many things before that that you're thinking about that when you I mean you guys know, when you get to that week, you're like, oh, like at that point you're so tired and exhausted that there's no way to handle it the right way.

00:04:26
Speaker 3: You just have to do what you think is best.

00:04:28
Speaker 5: And yeah, I feel bad if she thinks she doesn't like something that I said, because I don't mean any disrespect and I know that it's sensitive obviously, Like yeah, like I was. I talked at length about it with Grant on that week because I was like, so, you know, I knew how sensitive it was, and.

00:04:48
Speaker 3: People judge women on that week and so and they like, you know, I think, yeah, fill in the blanks if you don't fill it in forum. And so.

00:05:02
Speaker 5: She's right to be sensitive about it one hundred percent. And I feel bad if I said anything offensive. That wasn't my intent.

00:05:08
Speaker 1: No, yeah, I don't think it was anything insensitive. Yeah, I just heard that.

00:05:12
Speaker 3: She's I don't either, by the way, but it doesn't.

00:05:16
Speaker 5: Yeah, but it doesn't mean that that, you know, it doesn't Just because I didn't mean to offend someone doesn't mean that that's how it landed.

00:05:23
Speaker 3: So I feel right, so it was taken you know.

00:05:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I think, like you, you have like the right mindset. I mean, you guys, think everyone a year later is coming to terms with everything. And I think just like being able to be reflective on you know, you guys, a season and everything that transpires. So I think everyone's like in the best spot that they can be in considering all things. So I think that's very like mature of you to say. But yeah, I you know, I think as you sit with things, that's typically what happens in this franchise is like, yeah, we have one feeling about something in the moment, and then it's like two years later, we're like, wait, okay, now I really totally full scope of everything you know, so those things are always evolving.

00:06:05
Speaker 5: But I like different things hit you sideways, like at different times too. I like sometimes like I think of things are like I'll see a clip and I'm like, oh, yeah, I didn't like yeah, I wish I would have said that different or whatever.

00:06:18
Speaker 1: But I thought you handled yourself so beautifully. I loved watching you on Grant season. We don't have to like stay and linger on the Bachelor stuff, because I for sure so many questions about you and what you have been up to since.

00:06:31
Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, I do want to ask, like before we like wrap up just like obviously talking about like yeah, but like I do love to like kind of like what I was just referencing to about like after a certain amount of time has passed, Like obviously people have different feelings about everything, so like obviously, like we mentioned, it's been essentially a little after a.

00:06:51
Speaker 4: Year like a year to this day of you guys.

00:06:54
Speaker 2: This season airing, and like obviously there's so much, like we said, has transpired in between that, but like how do you feel like being where you are at now and like being able to reflect and sit back on everything, Like how do you feel about everything.

00:07:10
Speaker 5: Yeah, sure, I think that I look back on it so fondly. I don't know how you guys felt, but like I had so much fun. It was so fun for me to meet the girls. I still talk to most of the girls, Like I talked to like Alicia yesterday, Alex this morning, Saraphena, like I'm texting her, Like we're still like very close and keep in touch and stuff.

00:07:32
Speaker 3: And our season is just I mean, I don't know if it's.

00:07:35
Speaker 5: Like this for you guys, but like it's just stuff keeps coming up, like people, people on lives, people in comment sections, people on podcasts, like it just keeps coming up.

00:07:48
Speaker 3: So it's fun to.

00:07:51
Speaker 5: Not be a part I guess anymore, but just to watch what Yeah, oh my gosh.

00:07:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm like I want to get it.

00:08:00
Speaker 3: I don't care.

00:08:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, I lives are interesting. Yeah, the lives, I'm not really sure. And I'm this is a safe space.

00:08:09
Speaker 2: It's a safe and a public space, so we absolutely can't chat about it. I don't know if you think about it. I think it's strange. I think there's a lot of things that are happening that are strange. And no tea, no Shade. I just want to be very clear, So everyone who hears this, no t no Shae. But the one in specific that I am referring to, obviously, I know Grant means well when he's like, you know, I think he's like essentially kind of probably in this like rebranding moment of his life, which is very understandable obviously considering the way everything kind of unfolded. But I'm like, okay, you know what, the lives are very it's just a very thin line to like, you know, tread on.

00:08:52
Speaker 4: And I feel like, you know how frequently they have it's.

00:08:56
Speaker 3: So vulnerable, right right, vulnerable yea.

00:09:00
Speaker 5: People are just leaving comments and like going off and you can't like control or moderate or like filter any of it.

00:09:07
Speaker 3: It's just like a reaction in real time. And I think, like one thing looking.

00:09:13
Speaker 5: Back on now, and I was like, I think about this a little bit because when I when you're going through it and everything is airing, it's like you're drinking from a fire hose, right, Like this is like so much speculation and attention and like it's it's fun and it's so exciting. But then like I think one of the things that I didn't think about as much during, like as it was airing, but I think about now is like Grant being the second black Bachelor, I think that there was like a lot of weirdness, But I do think that there was a lot of extra speculation and screwtiny because of that, And I feel like I got also extra scrutiny for that reason, with like by reaction in the breakup and stuff. And so I think, like, as I have learned more about I don't know, like you know, just microaggressions and being treated different a person of color, those are things I look at the reaction that the world had to him or to mirror to people of color, like I look at it through that lens now that I'm like, you know, maybe we should have just been a little bit kinder, And I think.

00:10:25
Speaker 4: Absolutely it's not.

00:10:28
Speaker 5: I don't know, like I just there's I think a lot of internalized biases that people aren't necessarily aware of that influences the kind of tone that people take that I don't know, like.

00:10:44
Speaker 2: Which is why it makes sense and I'm like, for me, that's why I'm like, I always kind of do have this like soft spot in my heart for him, because I do understand. I'm like obviously also being a lead that was of color, So I'm like, I get it. I get that you almost kind of have to like walk this line, especially within this franchise, but even just coming into reality TV space in general of like doing things almost like so perfect that you can't make a mistake, Like you don't really have room to make a mistake. Which I think again, like you said, watching it back, you see like, oh, and probably for him too, it's like in those moments you don't realize it until after you're watching it back and after everything is like you know, editing and this is the final product, it's like, oh, I could have done this better, I could have handled this, I could have not said this, or even the aftermath of like you know, press and all of that.

00:11:28
Speaker 4: So I think like for him that.

00:11:30
Speaker 2: Definitely probably is weighing away on him and probably still is. It's kind of something I think you will always carry with you because you know, depending on the things that people send to you or whatever. It's like, that's that's just stuff you have to live with and deal with and navigate on your own. So like for that reason, I'm like, I'm glad you said that. Because I do have a soft spot for him, but then they're loss So I'm like, I just want to be like the little birdy in your ear being like it's okay, you don't have to do a live today, Like it's okay, like you thing, like you know, let people like realize like whatever they want to think about you. And I know that's probably a long work in progress. It was for me, like I was kind of similar of like oh, the things that I would see.

00:12:07
Speaker 4: I was like, oh, I would take it to harbor.

00:12:09
Speaker 2: Then I'm like, no, you know what, I'm gonna let you guys figure out what you need to figure out about me.

00:12:13
Speaker 4: It's not true.

00:12:13
Speaker 2: I know myself, and you know it's like those are those are work in progress. I think that he just has to come to terms with so I do. I wish him the best, but I'm like the lives wait a minute, just hold.

00:12:25
Speaker 4: On, grant.

00:12:27
Speaker 5: Yeah, I haven't I haven't seen him, but like I think the gist of them is like there it's like dating.

00:12:34
Speaker 4: Yeah I think that.

00:12:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, well I just had seen a couple and I guess Latia, I wanted to get your opinion. You talked earlier and I mean, we all feel this a year later, looking back, you can digest everything. And I think maybe now he's ready to talk about things, because I mean when I was watching, and I feel like when a lot of people are watching, they assume that you two were gonna end up together, So a lot of these questions are centered around you and kind of like what happened. And I think he did bring up the religion and the aspect of feeling blindsided by it. Did you see any of that?

00:13:11
Speaker 5: No, I mean that's been a common thing that he has said. I think initially in press he was very much like, no, no, it wasn't religion, but then more recently he's like, no, no, it was religion. So I mean, I don't really know where it was, Like, I don't know how much of it was. I know that I talked about it on our first one on one day in la but he says it was in Scotland.

00:13:36
Speaker 3: I know that's not true, but it's to me. I brought it up again.

00:13:41
Speaker 5: Yeah, I brought it up, And I'm like, I hate to split hairs now because it doesn't matter that much, right, And I think if it is the religion thing, that's totally fair. Like that's such a like valid reason to not choose like a life partner, like if you don't agree on those things. But yeah, I I this story kind of changes a little bit every time I hear it, which and I'm not hearing it straight from the source, so he could be saying the same thing, And it just depends on who it happens, who happens to hear it, and how they choose to write about it or whatever or send it to me like different clips.

00:14:23
Speaker 3: But I'm sure that religion played a role in it.

00:14:27
Speaker 5: But I think the most surprising part to me was that any time I ever brought it up, he was like, no, it's not an issue.

00:14:35
Speaker 3: What do you mean, No, it's totally fine.

00:14:37
Speaker 2: No really, yeah, I feel like yeah, and like obviously, I mean you can probably answer this, but like I was doing a lot of like analyzation just watching you guys this season and then obviously like how things again played out afterwards, and I'm like, do you feel like I feel like, I don't know, there's just again certain things and I'm like, oh, I see parts of myself maybe in Grant, like you know, before I did the whole therapy thing, and you know, worked on myself. But I do feel like maybe a lot of that was coming from a place of like people pleasing or just like kind of giving the answer that he maybe thought you wanted to hear at the time, rather than like staying true to like I guess his initial beliefs or concerns or whatever. Does that make sense kind of what I'm saying of like him saying yeah, totally, no big deal, versus like saying like, Okay, it potentially could be a big deal, but right now, like we're still evolving in our relationship. Maybe that's a bridge I'll cross when I get there, or like we'll have a later conversation. That's not really how it ever went with you guys. It was always just like a yes right out the out the gay yeah.

00:15:40
Speaker 3: I mean yeah.

00:15:41
Speaker 5: That I think to me was like, it's obviously, of course it's the bachelor.

00:15:45
Speaker 3: He's dating multiple women. I know that.

00:15:47
Speaker 5: It's like, even if he says that it's me or whatever, that he's still pursuing other relationships and so until I'm the last person left, obviously that's an option. So I really can only rely on the conversations that we're having where we are. I am bringing up important things that he like, in my opinion, information that he would want to know when he's making these decisions.

00:16:08
Speaker 3: And so if there was anything.

00:16:11
Speaker 5: That was a cause for concern or changed the nature of the promises that he was making to me, that those would have been addressed, and they weren't.

00:16:21
Speaker 3: So I think that was like my disappointment was.

00:16:23
Speaker 5: Like, of course you can have of course you don't have to pick me, even if you said a million times that you were going to, because I know what else is going on. I wish that you wouldn't make those promises, but he did. And it's okay, like, you know, everything works out the way it's supposed to do. But I think my issue was that, like they weren't brought up so that we could have a discussion about it.

00:16:46
Speaker 4: It was just like.

00:16:48
Speaker 5: If that was the reason why, which before he said it wasn't the reason, and then later it was the reason.

00:16:56
Speaker 3: I don't know. I think like.

00:16:59
Speaker 5: And also it's tough because he was engaged to somebody else when it ended, So I think that answers, you know, sometimes would a little bit be catered to her feelings because he can't say, well, it was the other girl's religion. He has to say it's because my feelings were stronger for the person I'm engaged to, which.

00:17:16
Speaker 3: Is also probably true, like both things can be true. I don't know.

00:17:19
Speaker 5: I like, yeah, that was a jumbling mess, but I think I want to give him grace, even though it was really really hurtful initially and I was really mad, like yeah when it first ended, like the season and like all of the press afterwards. But I want to give them both grace, and they're doing the best they can. I was doing from a firehouse, so I can, you know, only imagine what it was like for them.

00:17:48
Speaker 3: I think he's doing his best. Yeah, I think he's a good person.

00:17:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I agree, I think Rant wouldn't hurt a fly. But I think obviously certain things that he's just navin gating and.

00:18:01
Speaker 3: And he's not alone in that is the other and.

00:18:04
Speaker 5: We're all, yeah, exactly, not like he special kind of villain because he says things to Himen and then changes his mind.

00:18:11
Speaker 3: I think that happens.

00:18:12
Speaker 4: Just happened.

00:18:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just happened to play out on an entire season that was his own.

00:18:18
Speaker 4: But this happens every single day. I'm like, he is yeah. Like, no, honestly, there's no innocent man out here, I'll say that.

00:18:26
Speaker 2: But have you guys like talked or like, has there been any like I don't know, just maybe reconciliation of just like, Okay, we are on the same page here.

00:18:36
Speaker 4: I wish you the best. I wish you the best, and.

00:18:41
Speaker 1: That's whatever, yeah has been mm hmm, oh my gosh.

00:18:53
Speaker 3: Okay, well that's it.

00:18:54
Speaker 5: No, it's not it's not like it's not like a big juicy It was just like I think, kind of like burying the hatchet many fences and just like wishing each other the best.

00:19:06
Speaker 1: Okay. I love that you guys obviously have been able to talk and bury the hatchet. But I saw he was maybe in the comment section of your co host on your podcast. So was that after the reconciliation or before.

00:19:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, Chase is kind of.

00:19:27
Speaker 5: A vigilante in the comment section and so and he has just like a funny sense of humor. So I think he antagonized Grant a little bit, just like in defense of me, and then Grant like responded, I don't know, like I know that.

00:19:47
Speaker 3: Chase doesn't hold anything against Grant. He just.

00:19:51
Speaker 5: Doesn't agree with like I think how he like spoke about me and he's just been like a good friend. But yeah, the reconciliation was after that, and I kind of brought.

00:20:03
Speaker 3: That up, like I think it would be great for us to be like.

00:20:09
Speaker 5: Positive and in a good place and like, I don't think that we need to kind of drag everything online moving forward, and he agreed, and I think.

00:20:19
Speaker 3: That's where, like I think he's a good guy. I think he just gets like I don't even know what the word is, like triggered.

00:20:29
Speaker 5: Sometimes people say things and yeah, and you have, you know, an emotional reaction, which is human.

00:20:35
Speaker 3: But I think we're in a good spot.

00:20:40
Speaker 4: Good's this sounds.

00:20:42
Speaker 1: Very protective over you. How did that friendship all start?

00:20:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, So we met actually like a year ago at Sundance. He was dating someone that I was friends with, and we kind of met that way.

00:21:00
Speaker 5: We had like other mutual friends and kind of just started being in the same places. And then I got really close with his ex wife, Miranda, and they are co parents and so and they have like a really awesome, great co parenting relationship, and so I got closer to Chase through Miranda, like the three of us, Like if I'm with Miranda and he'll be at her house like throwing the football with.

00:21:26
Speaker 3: Their kids, and so we just got closer that way.

00:21:33
Speaker 1: I love that. I think people and fans online have loved to watch your relationship with Miranda. Obviously she is Areanda and Mormon Wives? Do you think there's a possibility we could ever see you on there?

00:21:46
Speaker 2: I'm like, are we are we teasing up something for a new season?

00:21:54
Speaker 3: I don't know, it's that. I will tell you that they do not need me.

00:21:58
Speaker 5: They're doing like over there. Yeah, they have enough going on.

00:22:04
Speaker 3: They don't need me for sure, But I yeah, we'll see.

00:22:08
Speaker 4: I don't know, yeah, like would you would you do it?

00:22:12
Speaker 2: Like if they were like yeah, like we want you on Like is that something you see?

00:22:16
Speaker 4: Like Okay, yeah, I love.

00:22:19
Speaker 1: That you're close with all of them. Are just Miranda and Chase.

00:22:26
Speaker 3: So I'm closest with Miranda and Chase and Layla Okay.

00:22:32
Speaker 4: She seems like a total sweetheart.

00:22:34
Speaker 2: I'm like, that's like the one girl that I'm like, I want to meet, Like I want to meet Yeah, yeah.

00:22:38
Speaker 3: Layla is so sweet and gorge just stunning. Yeah, both of them.

00:22:43
Speaker 1: Have you heard any spoilers for Taylor? Season then being in that circle.

00:22:50
Speaker 3: I know, No, I think for legal reasons, of course not I'm she would say anything, of course not. No, I have I mean I have.

00:23:08
Speaker 5: My like guesses, but I I don't have any like heart evidence or dead giveaways. Yeah, regardless, she's keeping it, she's keeping it pretty close to her the chest.

00:23:24
Speaker 4: Okay, is it going to be good?

00:23:26
Speaker 3: Yes, I I think that it will. Yeah, I'm I'm sad for it, like I'm I'm excited to watch. She's so entertaining to watch. I just love Yeah, I love love. Yeah.

00:23:44
Speaker 2: I feel like it's because you just like don't know like like where you know, like you can't predict her next move, which I'm like, that's like it can go either way here, totally.

00:23:56
Speaker 5: Yeah, totally well, and I think too, and like both of you will get this more than me. But I think like as a lead, there is like so much pressure I think to like live up to something like for the franchise because it's such.

00:24:09
Speaker 3: A like a long standing like tradition of like reality TV, you know what I mean.

00:24:14
Speaker 5: So there's like so many like Bachelor like specific things, and Taylor is really like she marches to the beat of her own drum and so I think that, I mean, and she loves the franchise. Obviously she wouldn't have agreed to do it without it. But I just know that she will do things like her way that feel right to her. And she knows very like strong willed and has like a very good sense of who she is and can advocate for herself, and she's very honest and stuff, which I think makes really entertaining TV.

00:24:46
Speaker 3: And I think that I'm excited to watch it in Bachelor World. Do you know what I mean?

00:24:51
Speaker 1: Right? Yes, from the other side of the curtain, Yeah, Yeah, it'll be so interesting. I feel like there is so much pressure to be lead to put on a good season. She's gonna give us an amazing season. I am so excited for her. Uh for you next? You have some exciting things coming up.

00:25:11
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm like, what is next? What's next for you?

00:25:15
Speaker 3: What's next for me? Podcast? Yeah?

00:25:18
Speaker 1: How did this all come to be? This podcast?

00:25:23
Speaker 5: I I have thought about doing it for a while just because I feel like, and I'm sure you guys can agree with this, that Bachelor like being on that show really showcases like certain parts of your personality, but not it's like just definitely not.

00:25:44
Speaker 3: Like a holistic view. Yeah, exactly. And so I think that I'm anxious to not just be the command now girl and not what's iconic. Thanks.

00:26:01
Speaker 5: I like and I don't have any like bad memories of it, Like I like it was very fun while austd, but I think it's not you know, the entirety of who I am.

00:26:13
Speaker 3: I feel like I have other things to say, And so.

00:26:18
Speaker 5: It's just and Chase has done podcasts before, and I think he has always wanted to do one, And we have good conversations together a lot about just like being single at this stage of life and being social. And we're similar in a lot of ways in that, like we understand each other and there's like a lot of mutual respect, but we disagree about like a lot.

00:26:39
Speaker 3: Of things, which I think is entertaining.

00:26:42
Speaker 5: So when we're back in full force, I think that's what people will see, that we're we have mutual respect, but we typically disagree.

00:26:51
Speaker 2: I love that because I like, I remember like hearing or seeing somewhere that you guys, like when you guys first met that it was like you were like not really.

00:26:59
Speaker 4: Too fond of. So I'm like, this is like full circle I'm like, this is crazy.

00:27:03
Speaker 2: Now you guys are sitting down on a podcast talking about things, sharing thoughts like, Yeah, I.

00:27:09
Speaker 5: Think we both have like really strong personalities and strong opinions loosely held like, but we're both like very open minded and we want to like you know, be agreeable and like get along and see each other side of things. And so we haven't talked about anything I think necessarily very heavy yet, but we do talk about that in personal life, so I'm sure those things will come up.

00:27:31
Speaker 3: And I think that.

00:27:34
Speaker 5: It's fun to talk to people that you disagree with about things that are important because it's i think important to have an ever evolving opinion just because yeah, seeking out information and truth is all you can really do and just try and find what feels right to you.

00:27:53
Speaker 3: And I think that's what we do with a lot of life stuff. I don't know if that makes sense. Yeh.

00:28:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited to see, like you said, the other side of you and maybe a side that you haven't shown.

00:28:05
Speaker 3: To the charity. Seen it charity not.

00:28:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, Latia saw my other side the first day, I.

00:28:13
Speaker 1: Know, I know, Yeah, I'm really excited to see you showcase that I saw you said also that Chase kind of pushes you a little out of your comfort zone and maybe encourages you like today, Has he set you up on any days?

00:28:27
Speaker 3: No, Chase hasn't. Chase hasn't set me up necessarily.

00:28:31
Speaker 5: I'm like so picky, but he is so good at helping me put myself out there and like inviting me to be.

00:28:42
Speaker 3: Like I was really after like my season aired.

00:28:45
Speaker 5: I was like, really, I kind of got like a little bit introverted and just kind of I think overstimulated. So I just kind of took a beat and had like some self care time. But and which is I think healthy and what I needed at that time. But Chase was really helpful in.

00:29:01
Speaker 3: Like getting me out of.

00:29:02
Speaker 5: And so is Miranda like inviting me to like get out of the house, go on a trip, ye, like do things get out there. And he's a really good friend. He's like and I don't know if you guys have watched like Secret Lives, Like he's.

00:29:18
Speaker 3: Gets himself into sticky.

00:29:20
Speaker 5: Situations for sure, but he means well and he's yeah, fiery, but he's a good friend and yeah.

00:29:32
Speaker 1: Yeah the dynamic for sure.

00:29:36
Speaker 2: Is it easy to say that obviously because I'm like I've only seen like a little bit, but like maybe to viewers, like kind of what you're saying like one dimensional like side or personality that we're seeing, But it's like it'll take someone actually spending quality time with him to like get to know really who he is and like how he like interacts and treats people.

00:29:53
Speaker 5: Yeah, I think like most of the time he is like one of the most likeable people, Like you're not going to find like a friendlier face in a room, Like, Yeah, he's like a like very warm, welcoming social person. I think that most what what I knew him as before I met him and was friends with him was like the confrontation and he definitely like doesn't shy away from that.

00:30:21
Speaker 3: So I think that's what is known about him.

00:30:24
Speaker 5: But he's most of the time like a very reasonable, likable, normal intelligent person.

00:30:33
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:30:34
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:30:35
Speaker 1: Are we going to see him more on the next season of Mormon Wives? I know, like when it left off, he was at that dinner date with Taylor, though I forgot about that. Oh no, inside Scoopy. Next season, I don't.

00:30:48
Speaker 5: I don't have a ton about next season, but I I would think.

00:30:56
Speaker 3: That he'll be on there more. That would be yes, I'm excited.

00:31:00
Speaker 1: To see them.

00:31:02
Speaker 3: That would be my guess. I have no idea, Like I haven't seen it.

00:31:05
Speaker 4: I don't know.

00:31:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, and they yeah, oh wait a while ago. You know. I was like, they filmed it a while ago. So I'm like, I don't even.

00:31:13
Speaker 1: Know it's coming out. I think, right, is it? Ohrch twelfth at the same time as Bacherette.

00:31:21
Speaker 3: It's like, I think a week before.

00:31:24
Speaker 4: Oh my god. Oh so it's like simultaneously.

00:31:27
Speaker 2: This is crazy, No crazy, I.

00:31:31
Speaker 4: Am so ready. I just need like entertainment at this point.

00:31:34
Speaker 3: I mean, and they are good at that.

00:31:36
Speaker 5: They are the shortage of that, I will tell you, like, even when they're not filming, it doesn't stop.

00:31:43
Speaker 4: It doesn't stop.

00:31:45
Speaker 1: And you're like involved in it.

00:31:47
Speaker 3: Now, No, I wouldn't like I would. You're like, you see, like a little bit more aware of it. Yeah, I'm more aware of it.

00:31:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, the front row seat. I do so much to be a fly on the wall and all that.

00:32:05
Speaker 2: Rachel wants in Utah.

00:32:12
Speaker 3: Come no, I'm no Charity knows. There's an open invite. I have a guest room.

00:32:17
Speaker 4: I'm like, I haven't been to her house.

00:32:18
Speaker 1: Yet I was gonna say, Utah, like, what's the dating scene? Like there is it like everyone's everyone terrible terrible.

00:32:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's this big like it is.

00:32:29
Speaker 2: Like everybody knows everybody. It is like, yeah, terrifying.

00:32:33
Speaker 5: It's like fishing in a very shallow puddle. It's just everybody knows everybody and.

00:32:39
Speaker 3: There's no yeah, no new no new blood.

00:32:45
Speaker 5: Really so you have everyone's related, everyone's not related.

00:32:50
Speaker 1: Not really.

00:32:51
Speaker 4: That's terrifying. Oh gosh.

00:32:53
Speaker 1: Okay, So maybe we won't come to Utah for the dating but well.

00:32:57
Speaker 2: I can still come because I I do believe I had, like I do have a man, So I'm okay.

00:33:05
Speaker 3: But we are working on whatever. Rachel, Yes, for a date.

00:33:08
Speaker 1: I know another people fishing in the pond. It feels like everywhere the pond is dry.

00:33:13
Speaker 3: So Salt Lake City, I know.

00:33:15
Speaker 2: I want to take a little girls trip.

00:33:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, help us a dating show?

00:33:25
Speaker 4: Yeah, I do want to ask that.

00:33:26
Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, like, would you ever do any maybe?

00:33:32
Speaker 3: Yeah, it depends on who's there there. Maybe some cuties. Yeah, I don't know.

00:33:37
Speaker 4: I think that would be so Tea, like you on Paradise.

00:33:40
Speaker 1: People have been waiting for Letia to come to Paradise.

00:33:42
Speaker 5: Yeah, oh they're fine, they don't there's so many many if.

00:33:48
Speaker 2: I need to watch it, no, i think like with the right print, because I mean again, like we said, y'all season made splash and like I don't want to say not in the the face just made.

00:34:01
Speaker 4: Like not in.

00:34:02
Speaker 1: But I'm like, she's like, guys.

00:34:04
Speaker 2: Have very like I mean Grant alone, but then you guys as a cast, like I feel like y'all's personalities were very like just dynamic.

00:34:13
Speaker 4: So I'm like, I would love.

00:34:15
Speaker 2: To see like a few more girls from y'all season on Paradise and then like Taylor's got please wrap it up.

00:34:21
Speaker 4: I'm like, I am there, I'm watching it.

00:34:25
Speaker 5: I think she has some cuties I would love. I would love I want to see Saraphina like, I think she would be so good exactly, I like want, Yeah, I would watch.

00:34:37
Speaker 4: Plays no games.

00:34:39
Speaker 2: That's why I love her because I'm like, we are so like I'm like, yeah, she has no time for foolishness.

00:34:43
Speaker 5: She is the funniest girl in the world and like sweet like has the most tender, sweetest heart, but she is so funny.

00:34:52
Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm like, especially now like after seeing Alex Andrews. They're so cute.

00:34:56
Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, maybe I'm obsessed with Alex and Andrew. I think on Paradise underestimated them a little.

00:35:03
Speaker 4: Bit, but I don't know.

00:35:04
Speaker 2: I from the beginning, I was like, no, theyre they have like similar personalities, like they're just I.

00:35:09
Speaker 3: Went on Happy Hour. I went on Happy Hour and I said, Alex and Andrew.

00:35:13
Speaker 4: You predicted them.

00:35:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, there my predictions.

00:35:16
Speaker 1: I feel like they're a match made in heaven. Yeah, personality are exactly Like I need to see more of them and I.

00:35:26
Speaker 3: Love them.

00:35:33
Speaker 1: I need to see like Chase set you up on dates and like you come back on the podcast and recap.

00:35:37
Speaker 4: And talk about them like that.

00:35:40
Speaker 3: I mean, oh, that would be great. Yeah, I think if he that's the thing.

00:35:46
Speaker 5: I'm like, everyone he knows is from Utah, So like I don't I.

00:35:52
Speaker 3: Already know all of them, you know, I really need to like get out there.

00:35:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, do you feel like, I mean, is there anything like specific because that you obviously I mean I feel like I know you, but I'm like, I guess in terms of like do they need to live in Utah?

00:36:05
Speaker 4: Like are you open to like long distance? Like why does that to a distance. Yeah, I don't.

00:36:10
Speaker 5: I don't think they need to move to Utah. And I'm open to spending time outside of Utah. I don't, I think, especially like in the beginning, I don't if someone wasn't from here, I wouldn't expect them to move here for that. So like I'm open to them to somewhere that I want to live, you know. But yeah, I'm just looking for someone nice and honest and cute and funny.

00:36:40
Speaker 2: Nice, honest, cute and funny. That's like literally every girl's dream.

00:36:43
Speaker 1: I know, Like the bar is so low it's in hell.

00:36:46
Speaker 3: Got help underwater?

00:36:48
Speaker 1: No, Well, if not dating, I guess. I also had a question like about the podcast we go on the Bachelor, right, and our dating life is public, and I feel like we're all fine answering questions about that, But it feels like now your private life is sort of becoming a little bit more public. How has that been.

00:37:07
Speaker 3: It's an adjustment, for sure. I think I think that.

00:37:19
Speaker 5: It's like, so it's so hard to like know what to share because for the most part, because I'm a private person.

00:37:25
Speaker 3: It's not because I I'm like scared to share.

00:37:29
Speaker 5: I'm just like I don't even it doesn't occur to me that people like want to know anything else, do you know what I mean? And so I think that it's hard to know what to share, and then some things just get shared by other people about me that yeah, unprovoked, and so like I it's hard to know what to respond to with that too, because I think online is never really where anything gets resolved. It typically just like makes things worse, do you know what I mean? Because there's so much room for interpretation and there's just like not a ton of allowance for nuance, and instead of just trying to resolve something with the person that you have like issues with, it becomes a topic for the court of public opinion and everyone gets to weigh in on everything that was like typically like a private issue. But I think that's part of like going on a show, is that then people are interested in you're obligated to share, you know. So I haven't found that balance yet and still finding my way.

00:38:36
Speaker 3: You guys have tips for me, please let me know.

00:38:39
Speaker 4: It like definitely comes with time. I'm like your position, but.

00:38:45
Speaker 1: It feels crazy because I feel like lytia, I do see like stuff even on my TikTok about your personal friendships and your personal life, and I have not had to experience that, but it feels like with have you not? I mean not really, I guess when it comes to dating of my friendships within the Bachelor World charity, do you feel like people have been that invasive as they are with Latiya with you?

00:39:07
Speaker 4: Definitely not. I mean probably the only thing. I'm like maybe like me and.

00:39:11
Speaker 2: Kat, but like that's about it, Like and that was like a very sort exactly that was within Bachelor. But I also like, I feel like I have found a very good balance of how much I give, like in terms of people who are not already in this space, because I'm like my friends from back home, Like it's not that I don't want to post them, it's just like I'm very protective over them and like I don't want people like digging through their lives. So like that is a very like fine line that I just like don't play with.

00:39:40
Speaker 4: I do it with my family.

00:39:41
Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm just also not tagging my famili's like Instagram profiles because I don't need you guys doing like deep dives, Like it's actually insane that you know, my second aunt or my aunt like cousin, Like it's.

00:39:52
Speaker 3: Ever because you can't take it back, right, it's exactly.

00:39:55
Speaker 5: Once it's out there, then people know something about someone and write you after you've been through it.

00:40:01
Speaker 3: You don't want to subject anyone to that unless it's what they want.

00:40:05
Speaker 2: Exactly, which I'm like they are all like no, like I want to kind of keep this like private.

00:40:12
Speaker 4: I like what we have.

00:40:13
Speaker 5: Yeah, I think too, Like it's hard for me to find a balance because I think the stuff that you're talking about that is like online about my personal life, it's not from me, it's from all that And so I'm like I don't know how to respond to it because I don't want to make it, you know, worse. Like to me, resolving it is like call me on the phone, but when you know, you're popping off in TikTok comment sections like yeah, that the way that I see it, Like that's none of my business, Like you're not trying to resolve anything with me, Like that's just like not how I'm going to communicate with someone, right, and like resolve an issue, right, Yeah, it's just like you know where to find me, so yeah, because it's.

00:40:56
Speaker 1: Just like even with Grant. You're wanting to have these conversas like privately outside of the Internet, but it feels like everyone around you is like bringing it back to the Internet and you don't really have like the option when they.

00:41:10
Speaker 5: Do that, right, Yeah, No, I'm it's just kind of forced. And the thing too, I want to be clear about is that I'm so happy for everyone to like talk about their experience and their side of it. I don't think that it's like, don't talk about me, don't whatever, because I'm a part of their experience and I feel like I should be able to talk about my experience and as it relates to Grant or you know, anyone else.

00:41:30
Speaker 3: But I think that like when there's like an ongoing like issue, like maybe just try and resolve it privately and then you can talk about publicly like you know everything, But when you're kind of in the middle of it, it just like makes it worse to drag it out and involve strangers on the Internet. To me, is just like I agree, yeah, because it's definitely a choice.

00:41:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's definitely a choice without adopting exactly, and that at that point and I'm like, is this about something else or is this actually about like maintaining and wanting to either strengthen whatever resolve our relationship. Because then to me, I'm like, no, it's not it's about you want all eyes on this, you want to have you want to be a circulating conflict correct someone to be a circulating topic, trending topic.

00:42:19
Speaker 4: It's like I'm I want no parts, no, thank you.

00:42:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, And right now I feel like your friend group is such a trending topic. So people are just like looking at the littlest minute of details and like trying to get involved.

00:42:32
Speaker 3: Mm hmm, yeah, I would agree with that.

00:42:35
Speaker 1: Do you think on your podcast or Chase, you'll be like diving more into that or you're like not going to touch it.

00:42:43
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:42:44
Speaker 5: I think that, Like we have like an advice segment where people will write in, and I think like as it relates to us talking about things in a general way, I I definitely don't want it to be like anything like gotcha, like getting like trying to like disparage anyone or like create any like negative attention for anyone, but a hundred percent like I will use it to share my opinions about things and like my experiences, and I think that it's funny because no one really asks me about anything directly. So I'm like, I don't like, I don't really ever feel pressured to talk about it.

00:43:28
Speaker 3: I just like obviously like see it like people with some of the screenshots are some links and oh interesting, Yeah, so.

00:43:35
Speaker 1: Are you're seeing like videos about people talking about you? But no one is saying anything directly.

00:43:39
Speaker 2: No one will ever like text you or like call you or talk like want to talk things out or.

00:43:43
Speaker 5: Like ask we had we had one conversation better, Yeah, I was gonna say all of this.

00:43:49
Speaker 3: No, No, I'm not that I just had no.

00:43:54
Speaker 1: No.

00:43:55
Speaker 2: If I saw a video about me, I would be like, excuse me, this is news to me what's going on.

00:44:01
Speaker 4: But it's the thing.

00:44:02
Speaker 5: It's the whole thing too, and I'm like, not me, like making this comparison.

00:44:06
Speaker 3: It's embarrassing. But like I don't know if you guys saw this stuff with Haley Bieber and like the Justin stuff, and there's like a creator that was making content like saying that he was abusive and an addict and all this stuff, and like Haley's like legal team reached out and was like, hey, this is But to me, I'm like, I never would have saw that video that was made unless Haley had posted about it.

00:44:29
Speaker 5: So it's hard for me to know, like when do I like address something and when do you not? And to me, I'm like, I don't feel like anything.

00:44:37
Speaker 3: Is like blown out of proportion or I feel like so grossly misunderstood that I have to speak on it. I'm just like, yeah, people are.

00:44:44
Speaker 5: Going to speculate and talk about things, and yeah, I just also am like not one to dedicate time and energy to people that are committed to misunderstanding me. Like if that's like, that's your choice, Like that's like I don't if yeah, if I'm.

00:45:04
Speaker 3: A bad guy in your yeah, in your in your book, that's totally fine. It's a freak absolute whatever you want.

00:45:10
Speaker 4: As a matter of fact, let me wear the hat today.

00:45:13
Speaker 3: Well, And I'm just like, and no one really ever asked for my opinion.

00:45:17
Speaker 5: So if you just yeah, I want a forum to share your experience, that's great. I'll use my forum to talk about mine.

00:45:25
Speaker 2: It years to come around to that, but I'm like, no, I I love that perspective because that's how I treat everything now in life.

00:45:31
Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, go off of fact.

00:45:34
Speaker 3: And I'm like I do that with like kindness and respect too, right. Yeah, it's also like I think that was another thing.

00:45:40
Speaker 5: That, like the words that you say people, It like was new to me to learn how people online use your words to fuel hate for other people sometimes. Yeah, And so it's just to be like careful about I want to share my experience, but I don't want anyone to be disrespected, And so it's hard to know what's okay to share and what hasn't, which is another reason why I haven't spoken a ton about it, because I don't want to create anything like negative or hateful, like I feel like I've experienced from the things that people have said.

00:46:13
Speaker 3: So it's a fine line. It's a tricky it's a tricky balance. But I'm also like I didn't bring it. I didn't make something public. Somebody else did. Yeah, So I one hundred percent.

00:46:29
Speaker 5: Will clear my name and share my side of something if somebody else chooses to make it a topic of discussion publicly.

00:46:41
Speaker 1: Absolutely.

00:46:43
Speaker 4: Oh you.

00:46:46
Speaker 1: You're so like you're so much more mature than I am. Listening to you talk. I feel like I've learned.

00:46:55
Speaker 3: I learned from you too.
