This post originally said "if you're seeing this, it means I'm heading to the hospital to watch my wife have a baby! Be back soon, wish us luck, all that good stuff." That's not 100% accurate, but it's close enough.

Yesterday my wife started contractions, signaling that we're nearing the end of the road on this whole having a baby thing. Around the same time, both of our kids came down with... something. My son's got a fever, my daughter doesn't. We ended up sending my wife out in an attempt to keep her from getting sick, which so far has worked out. But the sickness is lingering. I haven't come down with anything yet and... yeah, I don't know. The person who was going to watch the kids while we go to the hospital is someone we really don't want to get covid, so now we're faced with trying to ascertain what, exactly, these kids have and deciding if the existing plan is still good or not. So far the tests have been negative. Seems likely that my wife will go into proper labor today, but hey, who knows. Either way, I'll be out of range for a little bit while we get all this stuff done. Wasn't expecting this last-minute illness in the plans, but it'll all be fine in the end.
