For The Dads is for every guy who needs a place to talk, vent, and laugh about all the insane, hilarious, and chaotic sh** (sometimes literal) that comes with being a dad.
Hosted by Will Compton–NFL Vet, creator of Bussin' With the Boys, and proud dad of two. This show isn’t about expert advice and how fatherhood is the greatest thing on earth—it’s about embracing the love and suck of parenthood every day. From balancing work and family to battling the mental load, fears, and the moments that wreck you in the best way, we dive into it all with honesty, vulnerability, and a sense of humor. Cause at the end of the day... us dads have no idea what we're doing.
Alongside Will is his producer Sherman Young, a recently new father who’s currently deep in the trenches of Fatherhood and loving every minute of it. Together, they’ll break down everything that can go right and wrong (...usually wrong) when you bring tiny humans into this world.
Expect funny parenting stories, laughs, call-ins, advice, weekly themes, and the kind of conversations you’d have over a cold beer in the garage. Whether you’re raising teens or still Googling “how to install a car seat”, For the Dads is the ultimate podcast for dads who are in it, about to be in it, or just trying to do their best while screwing it up along the way.

We embrace the suck, we talk about the highs and lows. We storytell We are not experts. 00:00:50 Speaker 2: By any means. 00:00:53 Speaker 3: But this is just a show for the dads, by the dads, by a couple of dads. 00:00:57 Speaker 2: I got a three year old and a one year old. Shuram has a. 00:01:00 Speaker 3: Six six going on seven months, going on seven. Yes, sir, let's go. 00:01:05 Speaker 1: You can find us on social media at for the Dad's Pod, all social channels by the way, Instagram, Instagram's up right now. We just hit what fifty thousand followers on Instagram. That's amazing. Shout out everybody in the comments, Shout out everybody following. And again we're on We're on all the channels. We're even on for the for the older PT six members out there. 00:01:23 Speaker 3: We are on Facebook, very active Facebook page, Facebook page. 00:01:28 Speaker 2: Yeah, and that that. 00:01:30 Speaker 3: Goes with the brand. That's very dad centric. I love that. 00:01:34 Speaker 1: And you know, the one that's been firing me up is again if you're listening right now, audio channels, if you're watching us on YouTube, the one that's been firing me up the most, you guys know, Spotify. I went in last week. I know we had our episode. By the way, shout out to all PT six for consuming that episode. I told a story about Rue having a seizure. I got a couple of things wrong on the story. My wife, My beautiful wife, Charlie. She corrected me almost immediately. Oh good, yeah, coming those shoes laughing. 00:02:02 Speaker 3: She said her stomach was hurting about the bear story that we told. 00:02:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, but she had a. 00:02:06 Speaker 1: Report for me after hearing the way I told that story. Oh okay, a lot of it true. I just got a couple of things off, a couple facts off, and I did go in. I went into the Spotify comments, which, by the way, ninety six last I looked ninety six Spotify comments. 00:02:18 Speaker 3: That's crazy. 00:02:19 Speaker 2: People are flooding Spotify. 00:02:20 Speaker 1: People are flooding the YouTube comments. 00:02:24 Speaker 2: But I went in. 00:02:24 Speaker 1: I woke up and when I got the MT six APR and if you guys aren't familiar with that, that's the Milk Team six after pod report. 00:02:32 Speaker 2: So once I got the APR, she kind of told me, She's like. 00:02:34 Speaker 3: Hey, sweet Art, Rue wasn't a year and a half a year old, she was eight months old. 00:02:39 Speaker 1: Like, okay, I missed big miss on that. So I went into the comments, Papa Team six, it's Willie one show here. Hand up, I got it wrong. Ru was eight months she wasn't a year and a half and another thing I did get wrong, which makes sense because as I was telling the story, it's bringing a lot of emotion into going in and having the emotional the emotional moments I was having, Like once I got to the hospital, yeah, I didn't know, I said. The firefighter told me she had had a seizure. We did not know what was going on with Rue. We just knew that she was unresponsive. Yeah for a big amount of time. She started talking, but she was very out of it. They didn't know what was going on. So you know, as she's going over there in the ambulance and you were sprinting to the hospital, did not know at that point that she had had a seizure. Because I was like, I want to say last week if I remember it, I was like, hey, the fire the firefighter, whoever had the phone. 00:03:29 Speaker 3: It's like, we're just telling you that. Yeah, but that wasn't the case that you gott We were we were, Yeah, we were in the dark. 00:03:36 Speaker 1: And so when we got there, and again I explained this emotional story, so I'm kind of keeping it lighter so I don't get into that box against Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, going over there, we had no clue what was going on with her. So then when we get into the hospital and the moments that I'm talking about where she's plugged in with ivs and needle and they're getting all their vitals, we have no clue what happened. So when she's doing whether it's a blood test, you're in test all these things to try and eliminate what it could have possibly been. Yeah, again, it's like, uh, we're just kind of subtracting things as we Once she was in the hospital and got you know, the the brain stuff attached to her head, that's when we're learning that it could be that it could have been a seizure. So again that's the empty six APR. 00:04:18 Speaker 3: So if we're just gonna grade Will on his dad brain there, I don't think too bad. You were only eight months off on her age. 00:04:25 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:04:26 Speaker 3: And then uh, you learned information later in the story than what you had told. 00:04:31 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:04:32 Speaker 1: Hey, but again, all dads know we have the ability. I wasn't trying to exaggerate the story in this particular sense to make it funny or anything else, but old dads know they do their best on telling stories. 00:04:46 Speaker 2: Yeah, then their wife comes into the room. 00:04:48 Speaker 1: He said this like that's not what happened at all, and what I was talking about it is exactly you missed this part. You missed that part. Okay, I might have missed I might have missed that, but I kind of got the the overview of the entire story. 00:05:02 Speaker 3: Just unlocked a memory of when we were at that Halloween party and you're holding Scotti and you're telling Jill some story and I forget You're like, oh, yeah, she was six months in Charrow from the raft will. She was like a year and a half, six months, year and a half. I died, dude. 00:05:23 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was something with Rue. I forget what that. 00:05:26 Speaker 3: But she's on the other side of the room. She's six months old. She was a year and a half. You know, she was a baby. Oh dude. 00:05:37 Speaker 1: Good times. But we got a big snow day. If you're in Nashville, Tennessee, big snow weekend coming up this weekend. 00:05:43 Speaker 2: We'll get in, yes, sure, and went to the zoo over the weekend against saw Zutopia. 00:05:47 Speaker 1: Two boys. Just a fleeting thought. Derek the Funkle brought this to our attention. If we want to start thinking about Valentine's Day, we should start thinking about it now. Oh, I see this as advice and encouragement. Will also knowing in my heart of hearts that won't probably happen until maybe the super Bowl happens, and then it's like, oh shit, we got Valentine's Day next weekend. 00:06:12 Speaker 3: Yes, sports take a pause for just that hair of a second, which is perfect timing for Valentine's Day. It's a nice little window right there that all men get reminded that God this holiday. Man, Oh yeah, you gotta do the dinner thing. Chef had a great note on his Valentine's Day debacle. He already signed up for a pretty Yeah you got. 00:06:33 Speaker 1: Reservations for it at a very expensive spot. You didn't know it was an expensive spot, but now you're learning after the fact that you booked the reservation, Like you're gonna need some coin going into this. 00:06:42 Speaker 4: Place this Saturday after a week long trip to Miami. Not only that, ooh ooh, Chef, but hey, Valentine's Day, the missus deserves it. 00:06:52 Speaker 3: Yeah, she's the best. 00:06:53 Speaker 4: I love her dearly. Yeah, I'm very excited, and it's okay. Money will be. 00:06:58 Speaker 3: Follow up with me on this because we all know I'm gonna forget. 00:07:02 Speaker 1: But for the dads. We can support you on this day. Yeah yeah, yeah, that's why you're asking. That's not why you even told this. But I'm just telling you now we can throw some support your way. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, but follow up because I'll forget for dessert and don't feel like you're nagging me, Like, hey, you said support, Does that mean you're gonna throw me some cash? 00:07:20 Speaker 4: Like I know, don't be afraid demanded, The stubbornness of me is like, no, it's okay, but I will follow. 00:07:26 Speaker 2: Up with you. 00:07:27 Speaker 1: Okay, good news. On Valentine's they were dropping some some new merch. 00:07:33 Speaker 3: We're wearing it right now. We got some busting gear on the back. What's it say on the back against your It says busting your hold on. Let me, I took a picture. 00:07:43 Speaker 5: You're forever. 00:07:44 Speaker 3: You're my forever rodeo. 00:07:46 Speaker 2: You're my forever road. 00:07:47 Speaker 3: You're my forever rodeo. Dude, imagine gifting that to wife you on Valentine's. I gotta be honest. For any of the pet sikos that are listening or empty siccos on audio, please go to some kind of video format, whether it's YouTube or Spotify. You have to see the shirt that Will is wearing. I told Garrett, who's in charge of our merch here at Bustin, that is officially my favorite shirt we've ever made, hands down. 00:08:14 Speaker 1: And if you are a Papa Team Siko out there and your wife is aware that you consume this show, and maybe you're a little much with the show to where you might not have bridged the gap for her to come on board fully for Milk six or maybe she's flirting with Milk Team six, or maybe she is an empty sixer. Yeah, but give to a sweetheart. You know, I love this show, dude. Look at this. Look at this merchandise that they have in the store BWTV dot. 00:08:38 Speaker 3: Com, ewtv dot com. Because I'm telling you, you will be wrapping the show obviously if you wear that shirt. But that is a cool shirt. Yeah in hen raul minte, which is Spanish for in general. 00:08:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, you can embrace the brand while giving all the praise to your wife. 00:08:52 Speaker 2: You were my forever rodeo. 00:08:54 Speaker 3: Yes, and I for Anyptsikos out there, they are going, Will, what about my wife, She's a she's already bought in. Look no further, I got a Milk Team Milk Team six shirt. 00:09:07 Speaker 1: Just sit on the front, in the front centered written Milk Team six and then on the back on milk Team six on duty all. 00:09:14 Speaker 2: Day, all day. 00:09:17 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you can see you're doing a good job. Thank you, sir, You're doing a good job. And we have some new girl dad hats on. 00:09:24 Speaker 2: These are new. 00:09:24 Speaker 3: Yeah, don't sleep on the news. 00:09:27 Speaker 1: Bures me all the neew merch bwtv dot com. We have a lot of things to get through. We uh proposed a question on last episode. Uh just threw it out their hardest thing about being a parent. We have a couple comments that we're gonna read from that. We also have our voicemail or hotline that you can call into six and one the dads where you jump in. You you call the hot line, you tell a story, whether it's a win, loss, a dad hack, something you're cracking, a cold one too, like a good quality moment. Just you're just telling us something, a little story about you and embracing the BT six fatherhood. You can do that and when you do get featured on the hot line, the voicemail or now email, we will send you merch. So if you get featured on the show, we will also reach out to you, send you some merchandise for free, and all you gotta do engage, engage with the pod. But we got comments from YouTube, Spotify, the hot line, the email Again, if you can't if you're international and you can't reach the hot line, or you simply don't want to call in and tell a story using your voice, you feel much better articulating it and writing it down via email six oh onededads at gmail dot com. 00:10:33 Speaker 2: You can do that. We have emails. 00:10:35 Speaker 1: We got a wifey shout out here, we got new dad shout outs, we got a lot to get through. 00:10:39 Speaker 3: We got husband shout outs. I have a husband, a PT six shout out from his wife. 00:10:44 Speaker 1: I love having that iteration in our show because now we have been getting shout outs, whether it's a mom or a dad's birthday, or they just want to throw love to their partner's way via through a show or a platform like ourselves. We did gets a pushback last week. Wasn't somebody upset that we didn't read that we didn't read like a shout out for. 00:11:07 Speaker 3: Oh, her husband? Is that the one that in question? 00:11:10 Speaker 6: I believe, so we had and so I I have reached out and everything We had a happy birthday shout out on Christmas Eve from an empty sixer that I tried to explain it we missed because the episode had dropped that week. The next week was best of and then we came back on the first of it. 00:11:27 Speaker 2: The guy got lost in them. He got lost in the sauce. 00:11:30 Speaker 3: He got a little loss on the birthday had happened well and so, and he's he's not blaming me, he's being very kind too. But I have an added weight in this because our last two episodes we because of time, I cut an email on both of those episodes. It just so happened to be this one that got both what was the what was the what was like the reaction or the empty sixer being like ah. 00:11:57 Speaker 6: The guy wrote us and said, hey guys, I want to let you know I just got an earful through text. Basically, the wife's like, look at all these birthday shout outs there doing. 00:12:05 Speaker 3: She's like, I swear. 00:12:06 Speaker 6: I wrote one in I swear, and she sent it on every channel in a good way. And so I reached out to him and I just said, man, we have it. I was like, here's why it didn't get read. It will get read and send me your address. We'll send you a shirt. And so that guy is getting a little bit of merch. She fought the hard fight. He said, Look, I love you guys, but I'm getting an earful from the wifey. 00:12:24 Speaker 1: He got an earful from the wife feet. It was supposed to be a surprise to him. Surprise doesn't up and he gets earful from the wifeyet because he's probably like, oh man, it'd be cool if my maybe my wife writes in. 00:12:33 Speaker 2: But we also can't have that pressure put on us. 00:12:35 Speaker 1: No, no, no, we can't have the expectation if we miss a couple birthday show like there's this is this is a growing community and what. 00:12:41 Speaker 2: We can't guys, we're just guys. 00:12:43 Speaker 3: What we can't do. We can't start acting like toddlers. We're parents, we're adults. Yeah, yeah, you got to know that some stuff we're gonna miss, it's gonna get lost in the fray a little bit. We do. We hate that, trust me. We want to shout everybody hate it. We hate missing moments for people. 00:12:56 Speaker 4: Yeah, the best issue to have because we have so many awesome people writing in and in turn we can't get to everyone. But we want to Derek's obast on the phone. If any of you guys were here here for the early days when I was running, I had the phone, it's we've improved a lot. So this is a This is a band of. 00:13:15 Speaker 3: Four right here. It's a band of four, four idiots. Yeah, truly, we're figuring it out as we go. Every time you say we are not experts, I want to say and we'll prove it to you too. Yeah, stay tuned. 00:13:26 Speaker 6: We're also currently figuring out the email hat situation. So in the juxtaposition of we're figuring out we have been jumping through some the solution for that. 00:13:36 Speaker 3: No, we're gonna have to. 00:13:37 Speaker 6: Get a bundle of hats and mail them out ourselves here, I guess, because we can't only ship to Canada, and so thank you guys all for making life out. 00:13:44 Speaker 3: We're gonna send some to Scandinavia, but shipped from the warehouse Internationale. So we have to send that dude this office and then we will ship the internationally, which I love that solve again. 00:13:58 Speaker 2: Group them in. It's a group of men and all dads and all moms. No listening to this. 00:14:05 Speaker 1: This is how things can operate at times. Man we write checks, our. 00:14:09 Speaker 3: Ass can't cash. 00:14:10 Speaker 1: We get ourselves in some pickles. Yea to where then we're getting the ear full from wifey. 00:14:15 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:14:15 Speaker 1: I could have done that a lot better. I could have went I could have went about that a lot better. I did say I was going to do this for so and so. I just forgot. Yeah, Dad, bring kicks in. Oh she was eight months old, she wasn't a year and a half. 00:14:25 Speaker 2: Yeah, assume me. 00:14:27 Speaker 3: Yeah, we do. We want to, We want to. Let's get into let's let's do some some some parenthood before before the birth, before the birthday. 00:14:35 Speaker 2: Shoutouts, let's do some Parentokay. 00:14:36 Speaker 3: Please don't forget. 00:14:38 Speaker 1: Yeah, we can't forget. And by the way, felas we do, got to keep this one under an hour. We gotta keep this episode under an hour. 00:14:44 Speaker 3: Perfect, it's perfect, all right? 00:14:47 Speaker 1: So last week pose the question hardest part about parenthood? Oh yeah, something that we juggle with in our brains as we're driving, as we try you know, anytime I feel like new parents are parents, you're in some of these deeper conversations. 00:14:59 Speaker 2: You're trying to our articulate what parenthood is. 00:15:02 Speaker 1: Why it's hard, It doesn't seem fun to do, but it's also the greatest thing in the world. It's always hard to just I'm always trying to find like an articulation of how I would answer that question. But we had some write ends. This one's from Caleb Gross. Just got a chance to finish deisode. 00:15:17 Speaker 2: Early Monday morning. 00:15:18 Speaker 1: My opinion on the hardest thing about parenthood, aside from all the sleepless nights and arguments with the independent toddlers, it's definitely watching them grow up. It's the best thing and the hardest thing at the same time. You want them to stay little forever, but you were setting them up and teaching them to be their own little person. Dude, I could not agree more. I don't know how many one on one conversations I have with through when we talk about like when our third birthday was coming up. 00:15:42 Speaker 2: I remember a car ride. 00:15:43 Speaker 1: We were doing pizza Friday, so we were on a drive going to our pizza spots. Shout out a home team, no free shoutouts to home team, very big shout out, Yeah, very big shout out to them. But we were on the way back and we were talking about a birthday and it's like, I know you're going to be three, and I was trying to be more optimistic about her turning three, even though I'm battling all these internal battles. Oh, I want her to say, my little girl absolutely forever. I want her to be my little bundle of joy forever. Because we also have this digital picture frame at the house that goes through a lot of old photos. So every day I'm seeing all these old photos of ru and I just smiled like. 00:16:19 Speaker 2: Oh, look at little baby Ruver. 00:16:21 Speaker 1: And Rue comes over and looks. So I'm being optimistic to her about her turning three. And we're kind of sitting there and we're on the final stretch down down, cut that part out down, We're on the final stretch down to the house, and Rude just hits me with that a you're sad that I'm turning three, And I'm like, sweetheart, I am said that you turning three? 00:16:45 Speaker 2: Well, why you said? I'm just like sweethearted. 00:16:47 Speaker 1: It's hard to explain, like, I'm so happy you're getting bigger and you're able to do the things that you're wanting to do, whether it's put words together, sentences together, like write and get better, climb stuff, jump off things, grow taller, get stronger, get faster. She loves being faster, get better at dancing. But Dad, Dad struggles with the fact that you are growing up in front of me, because one day she's like, oh Dad, you know she said something about I'll be little for you right now, and I'm like, I know you will, But I just play this story and movie in my head of you're gonna grow up one day and you're not gonna be with dad at anymore, like in our house, Like one day you're gonna grow and you're gonna be liked at You're gonna be like Mama Tour. You're our size and you're that age, and you're gonna have little kids of your own. And that makes me sad. It makes me happy and it makes me sad all the same time. I feel all of these emotions, like as you continue to get older and when you're you're there with scarlet now, but when it's scarlet, it's it's one month at a time. You get just get sad that months are kind of going a little faster. And then it gets to the year marks two and a half, three and a half, and it just feels like time flies, bro. And so where's like Sodad is happy Insid. I'm like, yeah, I'm both happy, and I am really happy that you're turning three. I can't wait for you to be three. It's gonna be an awesome year. But that it gets really sad just seeing you grow up. It's it's it's the saddest thing in the world. And I love Caleb's ride in because that is very hard about parenthood because you just get so family's incredible. You just get so connected emotionally everything and you just pour into your little to your little kiddos and just seeing them get older and put their first sentences together and teach you things when they come home from school and you just see the development happening. And because she's right, she went into school today and they have to bring in something every week to do, like the alphabet. This week was the letter I. So she said dinner. 00:18:41 Speaker 3: Last night like I, eh, eh, eh, book like that doesn't start that doesn't start with I. She's pretty close yeah eh, and. 00:18:54 Speaker 1: She beck igloo like that. That is one that is one we can't make an igloo. We can't bring an igloo into school. But to figure out. 00:19:02 Speaker 3: What you're going to bring in for like show and tail or, do over the letter. I could do a marshmallowglue with toothpicks. 00:19:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, saying in this morning at breakfast, she got done with breakfast, I kind of screwed her little chair over because she's going to do an illustration. So she draws basically the family. She draws Mom, Mama, Dad, Dad, Waffle, Rue and Scottie. And then I'm walking her through writing illustration on the top because she knows the alphabet pretty well. 00:19:29 Speaker 3: She has how to write every letter. She's got her own little way right in. 00:19:32 Speaker 1: It kind of reminds you of Toy Story where it's got the writing on the bottom of each foot. Yeah, kind of the broken the broken letters. And I'm like, I l L, I could spell illustration. But she's writes the illustration across the top, and as a three year old, they write big letters, so it's not all going to fit across the top. So then for illustration the TiO in, she has to skew it down to the side. She just writes TiO in down the steppic And I'm just sitting there looking at this this illus with illustration written over the top down to the side, and I'm just staring at it. Trying to take it in because it's like, man, she's just growing up, and her handwriting is gonna get better. Yeah, her drawings are gonna get better. And at some point she's gonna be she's not gonna be satisfied with having to bend the word, and she's gonna want it to fit on the top of the page, and that's gonna make her frustrated. I'm just gonna remember the times where there was so much innocence and you trying to figure. 00:20:26 Speaker 2: Out how to write illustration across the paper. Uh huh, you know what I mean. 00:20:29 Speaker 3: She's gonna have a ruler, she's gonna be spacing out. 00:20:33 Speaker 1: I gotta redo this, and then one day it's gonna be writing your name and date and it's out the top left of the top right corner because you're in grade school or you're in your school or high school. And I'm just gonna be thinking about back to the time where we're just trying to figure out how to fit illustration on the top of your construction paper. 00:20:53 Speaker 3: I'm only at the beginning points of it. You you brought up with Scarlett. I have felt it, but to a very minor degree of what you're feeling right now. But it's it's starting with her hair growth. I know that's like a weird place to go, but it's like very visible. It's like being able to mow your lawn and like seeing the work that you've done. Her hair growing, it's every day. I'm like, it's longer every day. Yeah, you're a new person, Like I hate this, yeah, but I'm so excited that her hair's coming in and that we're playing with it in back time and stuff. But also I'm like, you were just you were bald, you have no hair. No, oh my god, gott he. 00:21:37 Speaker 1: Now we're messing with a little ponytail to where it's just she looks like a little Who from Doctor Suit, like a Doctor Seus's book where she's got her little ponytail, but it sticks straight up and you get you just you love them because it's so adorable. 00:21:48 Speaker 2: But it's also like, oh, you're getting hair now. Yeah. 00:21:52 Speaker 1: And even though like to you when you're like, oh, that's kind of myn like mine feels minor in comparison to what you're going through. 00:21:58 Speaker 2: Dude. 00:21:59 Speaker 1: It's all whether you have a newborn a toddler and I just have a toddler right now. But I'm assuming every parent that goes through whatever iteration of life that they're in, it's all the same emotion and the same feeling. So when she rolls over to her belly for the first time, it's just like it's it's pandemonium in the house. When her hair is grown, when she starts saying dad, they are Mama for the or they're just their first word, or just consonants, they're just making sounds. It's like pandemonium in those moments. You gotta try and bottle them up because there's gonna be the next thing. 00:22:30 Speaker 3: Yeah, the country I'm I will never tell you to put a country song on, and I will never tell you to turn off a country song. That's where I stand with country. Yeah, I know it and I like it, But those like those don't grow up little girl type of like songs down they're hitting, dude, they truly are hitting. 00:22:54 Speaker 1: We just had Luke Combs on the bus that which will release in like early March, I believe. But just sitting and talking with Luke Combs and you can tell he's just he. 00:23:03 Speaker 2: Loves Fatherhood yep. 00:23:04 Speaker 1: And he brought up this album which I was fired up about but it's called fathers and father and sons or fathers and Sons. 00:23:10 Speaker 3: Yes. 00:23:11 Speaker 1: Another one that's just like it just has you living in all the like your relationship with your parents, like you being a parent ties it all together. There's that one from Post Malone that I've brought up about his baby girl growing up and she's getting married, that I'll just have you if you're a girl. 00:23:26 Speaker 2: Dad, you're in tears listening to that song. 00:23:28 Speaker 3: That is the exact song that I was referencing. I didn't know if I could say Luke Combs by I'm glad you brought it up. The I hope he doesn't find find out that I didn't hang the man that song about yeah, hone Jill, that was like her song during pregnancy, and she would cry every time. I never cried, not once. And then when we booked Luke Combs, she was like, honey, he's the guy, like I'm obsessed with him. He's the guy that I was like, we'll play the song. I don't remember the song, bro. I made it to the first chorus and I was like, oh, Lee, dude, I'm starting to feel these things now, like this. 00:24:10 Speaker 1: Is and those feelings are the greatest thing in the world. Yeah, even though, like as men, you feel we like it, just it feels weak to us. 00:24:21 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:24:21 Speaker 1: But Bro, the amount of times you start crying as a parent, I feel like I cry at least once a week if you add up the average throughout a year. 00:24:28 Speaker 3: Absolutely, Brother, our little two month stint whatever that was where it was at least on this show, we were crazy. The Jill and I were talking about the moment of when she told me that she was pregnant. I told her that I wanted to go to Target and go to the baby section and just go walk around and driving to Target, she wanted to drive. I put my hand on her stomach, and that's when it really hit me. I didn't really tear up, like look at the pregnancy test, but I put my hand on her stomach and as we were driving down sixty five to that Brentwood Target, and Bro, it hit me like a brick wall. I broke down. And I was thinking about that exact moment very recently with Scarlet of like you were in there, like you were like a little chicken nugget back then, but like that was you. Like my hand was on her belly and you were cooking in there, and now you're here and you're this person. And I thought I loved you then when I was like crying, But now I have to like physically kind of hold back when I squeeze you because I literally might pop you. Yeah, I could suffocate you, could kill you. 00:25:49 Speaker 1: But right though, those cheeks on your face right now, Daddy could put them in the oven at three seventy five and take a knife to them because I want to eat them so badly. 00:26:00 Speaker 3: I like, truly, it's it's insane. It's insane. I was even happy I got home. 00:26:06 Speaker 2: Got tears. 00:26:08 Speaker 3: You're glossed over, Yeah, glossed over, you glossed over. I got. I got home like later than you. Mondays are just like crazy days here. That's usually my late day. But uh, I was so excited that I caught her before she got in her crib. I was like stoked on that. 00:26:25 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:26:25 Speaker 3: I used to come home to like Scarlett, like you would kind of like walk in with and I'll do this for the rest of my life, Like you kind of walk in and you're like, oh man, you know, fatherhood doesn't stop. I gotta keep being a dad. I got all this stuff to do. And yesterday it was like, I gotta get in before she goes into the crib. I gotta kiss her. Yeah, I have to kiss her before she goes in that crib. 00:26:47 Speaker 1: And the hard part about that is when they get older, like Ruby and three, she very much gets sad when Mama and dadad like leaves the house. We're like wondering when we're coming back, like, hey, Dad, are you are you going on a plane, And because if she knows I'm going on a plane, I won't be there for that time or anything. Odada's not going on a plane like that is just going to work for a little bit. I'll be back, We'll be hanging out the back half of the day. But then there's this like guilt side, this sadness that creeps in because you just feel like you're letting them down because they don't fully understand yet and the fact that they don't understand and it's so innocent that they're just. 00:27:16 Speaker 2: Sad that you're leaving. 00:27:17 Speaker 1: You're like, I feel so bad that I feel like I'm taking something away from you right now because when they're little, you have all those things. I got to get back, like just to give them a kiss, good night. But also you know that their brain doesn't fully comprehend the dad has gone for the day. 00:27:31 Speaker 3: They're just they're happy to see dad dad. It's worse time. Also, that was from just one email response to our Oh yeah, yeah, and. 00:27:42 Speaker 2: Again, got to keep this show under an hour. 00:27:43 Speaker 1: And I was also thinking too, like when you were telling the story about driving down the highway and your hand is on Wifey's belly, on Jillie Bean's belly, and now they're sitting in the car seat, in the back seat. 00:27:53 Speaker 2: But just if you think about when you're you, you know, you. 00:27:57 Speaker 1: Go through buds training. Yeah, they're pregnant, they're about to pop. All the fears and unknowns that are weighing on you. As much as you're enjoying the moment to put your hand on it, also appreciating like I'm so fired up to be a dead but I'm. 00:28:08 Speaker 3: Also terrified, so fucking scared. 00:28:11 Speaker 1: And now they're just sitting in the back seat and you're like, yo, we're a family, Yes, Like how nuts is this? 00:28:15 Speaker 3: Yes? 00:28:17 Speaker 2: Anyway, gotta keep. 00:28:17 Speaker 3: It doing, got to keep it under our I got Donnie Maz on YouTube. He says first time, long time, not really first time, but father three four year old and twenty month twin boys from Staten Island. Dude, I want to meet Donnie. This is a pt siko. I think the answer to Will's question about the hardest thing is just knowing that you're doing it right. We all have these goals on what and how to raise our kids to be hard working, respectful and responsible people in this world. But the reassurance of what you're doing is correct and right and in the best interests of our children, ourselves, and our family. Yeah, he's starting to have those thoughts because he's got. 00:28:56 Speaker 2: A four year old. 00:28:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, he's got a four year old, and like the four year olds starting to like develop that personality. I could totally see that of like, yeah, am I pointing them in the right direction. That's a whole other vault. 00:29:11 Speaker 1: Yeah, all those fears that you try to live with, like as they are going through because and Ruse and she's three at school right now. 00:29:18 Speaker 2: But it's not you know, you're not dealing with all. 00:29:20 Speaker 1: The social issues of them coming home and you know somebody might have said something mean to them, or there's actual drama or beef going on with a friend, or a situation happened and you're trying to coach them through, like am I leading them the right direction? But I love that that response. 00:29:37 Speaker 3: From Dannie and Staten Island. 00:29:39 Speaker 1: You just innately know that you're doing it right, but doing it and doing it right too is just man, and it's just pain. It's so sad, man. 00:29:48 Speaker 3: It really yeah, it really right? Right, No, it's sad. 00:29:52 Speaker 2: It is sad because that is true. 00:29:55 Speaker 3: I'm not even close to being there, and I'll stop saying that. But like, Scarlett's only six months, but I'm a sorry to have those thoughts in my head of like the person that she's gonna develop into, like will she be excited for school or will mornings be a drag like when I'm getting her ready for daycare? And in my head, I like to tell myself, Oh, she's gonna love school. I just have a feeling, yeah, I have a feeling. 00:30:23 Speaker 1: Like when he's like, you know, you're doing it right. I think Over the weekend, Matt Lionert had a tweet or a post that he put out because he's taking his boy, his son. 00:30:32 Speaker 3: Boy was in the fields. 00:30:33 Speaker 1: Yeah, his son, who's a he's a quarterback, right, He's going to TCU is he really? I think so, Like he's a he's an athlete, Like he's got a he's got what you want. 00:30:42 Speaker 2: If you're a former athlete, you raise an athlete. 00:30:45 Speaker 1: And I love just his vulnerability of posting that he's struggling going to drop Is that right? That gud right there. That's probably a rivalry in itself, it is, But he's gonna he's gonna drop his. 00:31:00 Speaker 3: Boy off at school, and he's like he's he's kind of posting through it. And I loved it because this is like, you know, this is a former quarterback. 00:31:10 Speaker 2: This a guy, you know what I mean? 00:31:11 Speaker 1: This a man's man, and his boy seems to be like he's becoming a man's man. He's a quarterback, he's on scholarship, probably has an nil deal going to sm you, and he's got his dad just tweeted about how sad he is that he's dropping his son off, Like, ah, Dad, you come on. But they probably have such a bond and a relationship that it's just so hard when you get to that point. 00:31:30 Speaker 2: I'm sure he had so many tears. 00:31:33 Speaker 1: To where that's how you hope to feel when you send your kid off to school and that's probably the most painful feeling when you are dropping him off at school, because you know, like, man, I was so intentional and we did this right now. I wish I could have all these moments back and you're not becoming a grown man and you're going to college to where I'm going to be far away. 00:31:52 Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to be a flight away. 00:31:53 Speaker 1: I'm sure he's going to go to a lot of his stuff, but it just feels like it's a very emotional time you watch lamb Man. 00:32:01 Speaker 3: I've watched episodes in season one I was doing. You guys watched lamb Man. You guys at home watched lamb Man. Yeah, up until a very popular show the season two. Someone's been tweeting about lamb Man. I forgot who Hey, just talking about the season Finalely. 00:32:17 Speaker 1: Finale is incredible. The finale is incredible. Anybody who's wavering off of Lambman, because I understand that all against this feeling because it's shut. It's such a good show. It's and some of the story arcs you get off on these side missions that you're just like, we don't need any of this. 00:32:33 Speaker 2: I don't need the Old People's Home. 00:32:35 Speaker 1: I don't need the relationship with the Sun and the gal who just had the baby. I don't need any of that soap opry. Yeah, I don't need Rebecca and the Australian guy. I think he's British. People are kind of correct me. He's a British dude or an English dude. I don't need the little love interest going on. I need I need Rebecca to be as shark as a lawyer. 00:32:54 Speaker 3: How she is in the season finale's great, but. 00:32:59 Speaker 1: There's a there's an episode where the daughter is going to TCU. 00:33:03 Speaker 2: She's going off to school. 00:33:04 Speaker 1: And her mom, by the way, the mom is the uh uh from the movie, not the Varsity Blues. She is the Sunday the Whip Creak. Absolutely, but the mom is sending her to tc TCU and she's just broken down as she's dropping her baby off, and she's calling Billy Bob like, so you're just not gonna be here with me today, Like you're just gonna go off to work and pretend none of this is happening. And you know Billy Bob, he's got his one liners to where he just goes off to work and does this thing. 00:33:32 Speaker 2: Is like Christ, these women in their emotions. 00:33:36 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and Mom just feels like she's going through it on her own. But that's how I envision what those what those days are going to be like whenever ruined, Scottie go. 00:33:44 Speaker 2: Off to college. 00:33:45 Speaker 3: Oh, just a mental pretzel, the mental pretzel of uh. Scarlet needed to be under billy lights when she was born and we had gotten no sleep. This was like day two in the hospital and they're like, hey, for y'all to get sleep and for her to be under the billy lights, we can just take her to the nursery. It's two rooms down, yeah, from the room we're in. And bro them wheeling out Scarlet from our hospital room. You would have thought she was going off to college. Jill and I started weeping. And we had only known Scarlet for maybe sixteen hours seventeen hours at that point. And it's like I told Jill in that moment, I was like, if this is this feeling, college is not going to be okay. 00:34:34 Speaker 2: I mean, daycare was emotional care. 00:34:36 Speaker 1: Daycare is emotional dropping the rod of a school for the first day in shro and I just gotta go park in a parking spot just so we can have a good cry for a second. I see her tearing up, and I'm like trying to hold back tears. I'm like, hey, you know, we ended up. We were ended up, like laughing from him, like they're they're here, come the water works. 00:34:53 Speaker 3: Uh huh. 00:34:54 Speaker 2: You's got to kind of take a moment because she's like, oh, did. 00:34:56 Speaker 6: You see Lioner's other posts about his kids he made? I think it was like last week. He has a video of him sitting at the table and his wife's recording and the kid goes over and says, Hey, Alexa, who's Matt Liner. Matt Lionert is a good car, a great college quarterback that played at USC and did this national Dad. His pro career did not amount to much. 00:35:16 Speaker 3: Just shut off. 00:35:18 Speaker 2: That's hilarious. 00:35:19 Speaker 3: No, I did not. 00:35:20 Speaker 2: Oh dude, dude, he does. 00:35:23 Speaker 3: Man. 00:35:23 Speaker 1: I enjoyed me some Matt Liner bro enjoy me. Some Matt Liner offered him up some lollipop. People like, oh, you're doing an advertising post everything. Hey, we're trying to get our pt sichos, right, man, there's nothing like some an ice cool lollipop with Chris Bapple. 00:35:37 Speaker 3: Tell me you've never had lollipop without telling me you've never had a lollipop. Will was putting out a legitimate help for your dad. 00:35:45 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to I'm trying to help my my fellow PT six are out in that moment. Yeah, buddy, I know it's hard. All PT six we got our arms around you. Yeah, because you lose one off to college. 00:35:54 Speaker 2: We're all sad. I'm not like in it with all these dads who post about their stories. I'm in it with them for sure. Got to keep it under. 00:36:02 Speaker 3: Gott to keep it under an hour. I got Jason H two eight seven six, He says PT. Sixer of two girls, a five and three year old. Hearing Will talk brings me back to when my oldest was diagnosed with type one diabetes. As a father and man, is the hardest thing to be in this situation where you have no control over anything. One thing I've learned in the past three years of her living with this is that you have to take the little wins. Maybe you can't control everything, but be the best of what you can. My wife and I have tackled this as a team, and her A one C hasn't been over seven in the past one and a half years. That's very hard to do. By the way, Yeah, very hard to do. 00:36:41 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:36:41 Speaker 3: Well done by Jason. 00:36:42 Speaker 1: H Well done by Jason. I have another one here from Alex Briscolino. Oh a four the Dead's crew. This is Alex Briscollno, I'm from Chicago and I'm a father of two absolute. 00:36:53 Speaker 2: Studs of children. 00:36:54 Speaker 1: My oldest is two and a half year old boy named Bennett and an eight month old daughter named Reagan. So listening to the episode this week and listening to old Willie Winshoff talk about the parts of parenting that are the hardest and asking the BT six community what they think are the hardest parts of parenthood is My answer is that both the greatest and hardest part of parenthood. He is He's putting a double stamp on it for all of us watching them grow up. Oh, this thing hits so hard because as a parent, there are so many times that you reflect on the accomplishments of your little one where it makes you so proud of them. On the other hand, it makes you sad because all the moments that we remember from when they were little are now gone. I tell all the BT six community to cherish every moment that you spend with your kiddo, because it all goes by way too quick, from the midnight feeds to my toddler wanting to have ice cream for dinner and then wanting to listen to Scrilla on repeat. All the emotions, tears, frustrations, crying, laughs, and love were all worth it because at the end of the day, your kiddo loves you with every ounce of there being. Never forget that. It's just a reminder too, because I love this ride and I appreciate you Alex. Shout out Alex. But his oldest is two and a half years, Like we're talking about it, My oldest is three. Your oldest right now is six months. And we have all of these emotions, talk about the memories that we have right now. And you know, there's there's pt sixers out there that have kids that are now off to college or they're now grown, or they're listening to us and just thinking about They would reiterate and say all of the same things, and they almost envy that we have a three year old, a two and a half year old with Alex, an eight month old with Alex, a six month old with scarlet, because they would either they would love to go back in it and envy what we get to go through again. They wish that they could relive it, and maybe they don't. Maybe they're like, Man, I poured everything in towards the most beautiful time ever. I wish I could relive these these moments. There's these memories and moments, but I also feel great about where everything's at. But boys, the young PT sixers out there cherish all of it. 00:38:52 Speaker 3: But yeah, good okay, good Son, good Son, good Son? Good Are we under an hour? 00:39:01 Speaker 2: I think we got to cut it off. 00:39:02 Speaker 3: We can't get to these new dads. I do have a very fun I thought we could jump into the hate well really quick before we go into the positives hate. 00:39:13 Speaker 2: Mail, hate mail. 00:39:14 Speaker 3: We have our first hate mail two for the dad's podcasts that we wanted to. 00:39:21 Speaker 1: There's a lot of excitement that you have with this, and I'm here's where my brain's going. I'm in fight or flight right now. I got a PT six need to be in fight or flight. Do we need to think about barricading up Hey and going. 00:39:33 Speaker 3: To here's the deal. People can get mad at this PT six can deploy on this guy. I'm not against that, but I have to say I think this guy pretty much kind of nailed his summary of our podcast. Okay, like he's not far off. This comes from Phoenix one three eight on Spotify. 00:39:54 Speaker 4: We didn't need to say his name for everyone here was. 00:39:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, don't music. That's p h O E n i X Dash one three eight on Tournament Phoenix Phoenix Dash one three eight on Spotify. Yeah, this was two days ago, he said, one star podcast. Oh, one star one star podcast. Go back to the drawing board. Guys, it's like dumb call of duty sport betting. Bro Talk. It's like dumb call of duty sport betting. Bro Talk goes, well, I'm a dad. Now he nailed. It was the full comment. It's the full comment. I'm like, hey, you got the premise the show. At that point, the show's just not for you. Yeah, that's all it is. It's just not for him. It's just not for him. So we could go after him for sure. 00:40:52 Speaker 2: We had to set of balls. He dropped his social his social name. 00:40:58 Speaker 3: Bro the comment again, one star podcasts, Get back to the drawing board. Go back to the drawing board. Oh no, it's like dumb call duty sport betting. Bro Talk goes, well, I'm a dad. 00:41:10 Speaker 4: Now, I bet his wife is right behind when he wrote that, just like see this is this is so dumb sports. 00:41:19 Speaker 3: She probably loved the show Let's break it out and I loved it. 00:41:23 Speaker 2: For the people who do sports bet it's sports betting fun. 00:41:26 Speaker 3: Oh yeah. 00:41:27 Speaker 2: Does it have its moments of adversity? Yeah for sure? 00:41:30 Speaker 4: Oh yeah. 00:41:30 Speaker 2: Do dads love their bros? Yeah? Are there moments of adversity with their bros? 00:41:34 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:41:36 Speaker 2: We is call duty fun. 00:41:37 Speaker 3: It's called duty fun. Is pubg fun? 00:41:40 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:41:40 Speaker 1: Yeah, he's getting a great Katie ratio fun. 00:41:44 Speaker 3: Yeah. Can't it be shitty at times? Absolutely? It has its verse adversity boom fun, embracing the suck, embracing the suck. He did nail it. He nailed it and one star. It's if we nailed what he thinks we are. Why would that'd be a five star podcast? I was about to say, he broke down pretty much. I mean, minus the sports banting. We don't really talk about that on the show, but you know, yeah, welcome to the show, Phoenix, Welcome to fatherhood Phoenix. Yah, Phoenix might not be a dad, he might be an st six, but it could be could be. Oh yeah, I guess it could be could be an empty six hate. 00:42:24 Speaker 2: The negativity to be negative. 00:42:27 Speaker 1: Yeah, we like to have fun. We have no clue what we're doing. That's why that's we sit here and talk about with our community. Absolutely tell their own stories. Yeah, make light of it. That's what we did before fatherhood. I was telling you, realize how serious it is. 00:42:40 Speaker 3: Yeah, true, and if we did come with all the receipts at all these studies and stuff. At the end of the day, I am just a bro. So who am I to tell you what to do? At least, I'm just hanging out on this pod and just saying, Hey, I cry a lot when I see my daughter getting older. Yeah it makes me sad. Yeah, because that's about the only thing. I'm an expert in his crying. 00:43:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm a dude. I'm a bro. I love football. Yeah, I love video games a lot of my past life. I still love dabbling in some video games in this life where I can find time to do it. 00:43:11 Speaker 3: I enjoy. 00:43:12 Speaker 2: I enjoy having fun with life. 00:43:13 Speaker 3: Tell them what you said to Jill on the phone. 00:43:16 Speaker 1: But yeah, it's over the weekend. Caught a pod because again, football season's kind of coming to an end. So there's not a lot of games on which, By the way, I love the NFL. I love playoff football because games are done by a reasonable hour. It's not like a Sunday night FOOTBA or Monday night football kicks off at like seven seven thirty. 00:43:34 Speaker 2: That is a great take central times. 00:43:37 Speaker 1: It's happening now at like five thirty to where you get to enjoy the game, and by the time the game's done, it's still about nine nine o'clock at night. Yes, sweet a pocket to where it's like, oh man, there's not a whole lot to prepare a whole lot for the next week, to where you're trying to gather all this information and storylines going on in the football world so I could be prepped and ready to go for all the shows that we do the next week. It kind of felt like it is a good weekend. We get to a couple games of football. We kind of have an open night because Sean and I finished His and Hers. By the way, if you're a couple out there and you're looking for a show on Netflix, a limited series His and Hers on Netflix. 00:44:09 Speaker 2: Good. I love that actor. 00:44:10 Speaker 3: I forget his name, John Yeah, Yeah, he's anttr guy. 00:44:15 Speaker 2: He's a Washington fan. 00:44:16 Speaker 1: I want to say we had it back and forth one time back on Twitter in the early days. 00:44:21 Speaker 2: In the early days. 00:44:22 Speaker 6: He's the most fascinating man ever. He trained professional in Russia to be an actor. Like his story is crazy. 00:44:27 Speaker 2: Crazy, and he loves being a dad. 00:44:29 Speaker 1: He's got a he's got that famous pot that viral podcast with Shilah buff where they kind of talk about parenthood and yeadhood. Highly encourage, recommend that as well. But joh and I we finished his and hers like we finished our show because it's only six episodes long, and I'm sitting there, I'm like, oh, let's. 00:44:45 Speaker 2: We got an opportunity tonight. We got a change. 00:44:49 Speaker 3: Yeah, so uh eloquently quoted. 00:44:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, an opportunity to go have some fun and play some video games tonight with the boys. It's about nine to nine thirty. Got to get a couple of hours under our belt. So I hit up Shurham and it's Saturday. It felt like a day we alluded that could be a possibility. Absolutely, colms are quiet throughout the night, so I just shoot the eyes where we at tonight. 00:45:11 Speaker 2: Boys. 00:45:13 Speaker 1: Jared kind of gives us a I could be on i'd be a game time decision. It is looking optimistic. Yeah, it is looking like an opportunity is upon us. Yeah, and Shuram hasn't answered yet, But I know Shuram's been doing trying to have intentionality behind that not being on his phone like screen time and everything else. So I'm thinking, like, Okay, how do I get a hold of Shirm because he hasn't hit the chat back. However, I see Shuram respond to somebody on X a pt sixer out there drop this psychotic meal with ollipops. 00:45:44 Speaker 3: Dree that with the shrimp cocktail and the pizza Olio pizza. 00:45:48 Speaker 2: It loved it a plus. 00:45:50 Speaker 1: But then he also had some cold shrimp cocktail on the photo too, and he's got some cold shrimp cocktail, pizza and Oli pop kind of a you know, that's a different but hey, we're not here to judge any pizza judge. 00:46:03 Speaker 2: But I see Sherm respond to him be like, oh, this is awesome. 00:46:06 Speaker 1: And Sherm is responding to that on X after the group chat has been hit up. That's weird and people have been reaching out to Shram, so I'm like, Okay, that's a little weird. Maybe Shurm's maybe he won't be able to go tonight, which would be fine, but we just need some comments. We need some PT six communication ye've been taking place. So I'm trying to scroll and figure out my phone had died and I turned it back on, so my messages hasn't hadn't loaded, because I'm trying to type in Jill and see where I can find Jill's old number so I can reach out to Jill myself. So I can't find it, so eventually I just call Shirm. Shearm picks up. He gives me a debrief on the things have been going on the last couple hours. He's been apparently ripping. I was a resume. I have a resume for PT six. He's operating, I really was. He felt good, and I'm like, I want to talk to Jill. So he puts me on speaker with Jill and I want to get I want to see a Sherm can play with the boys. 00:46:59 Speaker 3: She's like, I will, Hello, Will, Jill. 00:47:03 Speaker 1: It's so good to talk to you. You sound beautiful. Hey, listen, do you think sum can come out to play with his friends tonight? 00:47:13 Speaker 3: She goes like outside, yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:47:17 Speaker 1: Like come outside and play. This is me knocking on the door. See, I'm sure he can hang out with his friends to night. Yeah, and she gives them the go ahead, she gives them the green light. It's up from there. 00:47:27 Speaker 3: It was up from there. 00:47:28 Speaker 1: We get on comms, we get on the controller. We have again, not call of duty, but puff. 00:47:33 Speaker 3: G oh yeah, Phoenix would have been pissed with how much fun we are having. It was and just a little backstory of the leading into that phone call. I basically or I'll save it for crack of cole one. Actually, okay, or I can get it. I can get into it for the crack of cole one. I know we have other comments. 00:47:54 Speaker 1: Let's you shout out a couple of new dads. Let's shout out a couple of new dads. Ps. The hospital is humbling me with the chair that I am pretty sure they just moved from the waiting room. Congratulations you guys, dude, congratulations and try to get some sleep. Welcome to the show. Welcome to the show, dude, be walked in, Welcome to you. I kind of I forget everything that comes with these new dads because I'm like so excited for him, and then I kind of get a little PTSD flashback to like my little Trench, and I'm like, oh man, those yeah, those first four weeks. Yeah, but shout out the new dad's when Kracker cole One, Kracker cole. 00:52:08 Speaker 1: One, we got some of our Kracker cole one always brought to us by the wonderful Ollipop. 00:52:12 Speaker 2: Lollipop has a new flavor, Shirley Temple. 00:52:15 Speaker 3: Yes, they do. 00:52:15 Speaker 1: So if you're like a non alcoholic bevy person, we now have Shirley Temple available for ollipop again. Nine grams of prebiotic fiber two what is it, three to five or two to five grams of sugar par can And they got a variety of flavors. I run through my list all the time. Chris Bapple, Watermelonline, Classic Grape. Those are my top three. Shirley Temple is in my top five. It's a very good taste light on the tummy and you don't feel guilty afterwards. 00:52:42 Speaker 3: Will I could not agree more with Ollipop. I love that the Shirley Temple. It's very Valentine's Day themed that that's kind of my favorite thing. We had mentioned it in our Little Valentine's clip. I love the pink, I love the look, and of course you get Okay, I've looked into this and I can't wait to do it because I went to drink lollipop Ford slash but BWTB to see how it works. But essentially, you get a free can of ollipop right now if you buy any two cans at an Ollipop store, and Ollipop will pay you back. They will literally PayPal or Venmo you money. If you send them your receipt that you bought two cans of lollipop at a store, they'll pay for one of the cans. 00:53:30 Speaker 2: No ship. 00:53:31 Speaker 3: I swear to god, I want to do it this week because I'm like, that's that is like actually a ton of fun. Like I want to I want to see how it works. I want to get a Venmo from Ollipop and what you need to do too, because. 00:53:43 Speaker 2: This is where this will, this will be. 00:53:45 Speaker 1: These are these are going to be future retweets. Oh yeah, but you brought up the Valentine's Day theme. Imagine having a couple of cans a Shirley Temple ollipop sitting there, packaged with a new bus in Valentine's tea. 00:54:00 Speaker 3: We didn't even bring this one up. Did we bring this one up? I don't think we talked about it. 00:54:04 Speaker 1: You keep my heart busting and a lot of the fun little Valentine's Day hard candies that you used to get from your little Secret crush says for the boys down, bad for you. MT six no free shout outs, locked in all written on the little hard candies Tier. 00:54:18 Speaker 3: One lover, Tier one. 00:54:21 Speaker 1: Dude, if I had one free to speak, yeah, freed, but one iteration. 00:54:26 Speaker 3: You own the company, permission to speak. 00:54:29 Speaker 1: I feel like we should have more of Valentine theme colors versus the black. 00:54:34 Speaker 3: But that could be that could be a culture, It could be a cold take. I think there. 00:54:39 Speaker 6: Are color options. I don't know about color options for that one. I know this black shirt that is the same as Shermans will have pink text. 00:54:45 Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, Shurm's got the white one on. 00:54:48 Speaker 6: A black with pink text. I know that shirt, and then I do believe I do believe I could be wrong. There is obviously additional bussing merch that I don't know if it's a hat or something that I believe is pink, would be terribly wrong. 00:54:59 Speaker 2: Love it either way. 00:55:01 Speaker 3: What I'm what I'm talking about for the retweet, like say, you had this shirt right here, my forever what is it my forever rodeo? 00:55:07 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:55:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. 00:55:08 Speaker 1: If you have this shirt nice, nice and folded with a couple lollipops, Shirley Temple sitting there, that's a photo that's just ding. 00:55:16 Speaker 2: That's retweet. Yeah, that's relimiting. 00:55:19 Speaker 3: If you want to, Willie, will you see retweet that's you're edited in the right. 00:55:23 Speaker 2: Everyone's gonna fire me up. 00:55:24 Speaker 3: That that's the gift that the boys got for their wife and guys. Again, that works on any flavor at any retailers. It does not have to be the Shirley Temple. It could be Will's favorite classic grape, could be root beer, Chrisapple, it could be Chris papple line, any of those flavors. 00:55:41 Speaker 4: Ollipop is everywhere. Has anyone tried lemon lime yet? 00:55:44 Speaker 3: I have not. I saw it. 00:55:46 Speaker 1: I was going to go lemon lime, but I also saw orange squeeze, so I wanted to try like the orange soda style. 00:55:52 Speaker 4: I want to go get my pub sub and I saw it in publics and I grabbed it. 00:55:56 Speaker 3: Quite delicious, Oh god God, like a good light one like not one that doesn't feel like it's a like a syrupy taste like lemon lime. 00:56:04 Speaker 2: Feels like a good. 00:56:06 Speaker 4: Very compared to other competitors that we will not name. Yeah, it is, in my opinion, doesn't have that that syrupy taste. Yeah, dude, it has that really light It's really punchy with the lot with the lime taste. 00:56:20 Speaker 2: I love. 00:56:21 Speaker 4: It's incredible. 00:56:22 Speaker 3: I was. 00:56:23 Speaker 4: I was blown away, and I was wondering if any of you guys have tried it. 00:56:26 Speaker 3: No, have not, not yet. 00:56:27 Speaker 2: Can't wait to get my hands on it. It's gonna be two hand grabbed too. 00:56:30 Speaker 3: Didn't even know they had an orange flavor. To be honest, I'm big on like orange flavors. So that is the next one. I want to have a full roll decks Man, crack a col One, Lollipop, crack a cole one. Make sure to go to drinkollipop dot com. That's forward slash bwtb Allipop sold online at drinkollipop dot Com plus Amazon and available in the soda aisle and with the chilled beverages at thousands of retailers nationwide. That's including Walmart and Target, will Compton. What is your cracker, col my crack of cold? One is going to go to the upcoming snow weekend. It's gonna be taking place here in Nashville. Come on, optimism when big snow's coming. 00:57:12 Speaker 1: Right now, we're looking at last I saw fifteen to eighteen inches on one on the weather app. 00:57:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, phone, I saw up to nineteen inches on weather dot com. 00:57:24 Speaker 2: It's gonna be nuts. 00:57:26 Speaker 3: Some people dislike snow days. That's okay, that's o bad, It's okay. We're just like, hey, we know it's coming. We can't control what's about to happen to us. We control how we respond. Yes, sir, you want to be a thermostat and not a thermometer. Come on, you don't want to be sitting there just because it gets cold. 00:57:43 Speaker 1: Now you get cold, you get a little cold hearted, you get a little pessimistic, get a little anti snow. 00:57:50 Speaker 2: You don't want to do that. Hey, snow's coming. 00:57:51 Speaker 1: What are we gonna do about it pro snow we got here's what's here's how we are equipping ourselves. Okay, right now, you're gonna assume that you can't get out of the house. That's what you have to assume, because we can get to a hill. We got the sleds, sleds ordered ready to go. They're gonna be coming in. Uh, you gotta get the outfits ready, the boots, the heavy hout are where for the kiddos. They're gonna they're gonna argue with you about one to put gloves on. I'm more of a dad that'll take the approach. Okay, you go out there and find out the hard way. Oh you want to wear a dress outside instead of instead of all these layers, Go ahead, be my guess. 00:58:24 Speaker 3: Yeah, Frostbit's actually really cool. You should check it out. 00:58:26 Speaker 1: Yeah, step outside. I'm telling you right now, it's freezing. You're gonna hate that you're wearing a dress. But go outside right now and find out for yourself. You're gonna come back in. 00:58:33 Speaker 3: You're gonna be all right, Dad, d Let's let's get the let's get the outer world. Oh, Dad was right, mm, but. 00:58:38 Speaker 1: Building a snowman will be on the docket, getting on the sled. I'll be on the docket. Maybe get a little snowball fight in just kind of see where Rou's mental's at, because she might I might send her in a blender. 00:58:51 Speaker 3: Do you have a carrot for the snowman? 00:58:53 Speaker 2: Knows? 00:58:54 Speaker 3: Great note, I just want I didn't want to tell you how to do it, but hey, this is PT six game. Listen. 00:59:00 Speaker 1: If you're thinking about it, well, you're in Nashville. You're in a spot where it's gonna snow this weekend. Maybe you're in a spot where it's snowing right now. Again, be a thermostat, not a thermometer. We can't control. We can't control the weather. It's happening to us. Yes, we get to have we get snow day. 00:59:13 Speaker 3: Also, I got I have some extra charcoal for you if needed. I can put it in a little zip block back because I know you got a propen. 00:59:20 Speaker 1: Yes you were telling me, yeah, yep, great game from a bet sixer right here. So if you're preparing prepping for this snow day and you think you're gonna build a snowman, go ahead and get what's needed for the snowmak get some charcoal. Get some maybe black buttons. Get the carrots for the nose, maybe a little cute hat, a scarf, scarf, make sure you get the scarf, have to. 00:59:40 Speaker 4: I have a have a quick tip on game here. 00:59:42 Speaker 3: Oh please. 00:59:43 Speaker 4: If you're a big sledding person, learn this one. When I was a little kid, the old man made one of the best causes ever made. Snow day wise, don't get the saucer. You know the saucers and everything. The little plastics sleds are great. Get you an actual wooden sled with the iron ram, the old school style. Yeah, rid those things, especially if you're on a hill. Ice is over fly. You want to talk about having fun on a sled, those things, especially if you got little boys, if you know toddlers, you might want to be a little more careful because these things go. But I'm telling you that once you go, once you start on a actual old school sled, one that goes up to like twenty five miles an hour, you will never want to go on like a plastic saucer again in your life. 01:00:28 Speaker 3: Once you start, you're never gonna stop. You'll never stop. 01:00:31 Speaker 4: That's mine. 01:00:32 Speaker 3: Would you order just wondering what'd you order? 01:00:35 Speaker 2: For floods. 01:00:36 Speaker 3: For sleds. 01:00:36 Speaker 1: Yeah, ordered uh, you have to look at Amazon not get that one. You don't want to go You don't want to go too fast for real? Yeah, true, she'll want to go fast. But I'm saying that that I that's older old. 01:00:48 Speaker 2: Yeahh the boys. I think three year old boys would love something like that. 01:00:51 Speaker 4: Probably, I would say like five to six and up is probably when my dad got one, because they they will like, if you're on a big hill, especially out here in Tennessee, like you, it could be potentially dangerous, so they will actually, especially if it's an icy road, those things go. 01:01:06 Speaker 1: Yeah to me, to me, you want to a beginner level sled and create the hunger for wanting something better or wanting something fast. Yeah, you start off too fast and you have a bad moment, then you're shine them away from a dude. Snow days are fun. Sledding is awesome. 01:01:20 Speaker 3: Yeah, I gotta. I have a snowboard here at the shop that very easily. You just sit towards the rear, you hold up the snowboard a little bit. It's a great little makeshift slid. For now, because Scarlet, I mean we're talking six months ye scarts. 01:01:36 Speaker 1: Where you put her out there and you kind of just seeing what her reaction is to all the snow. 01:01:39 Speaker 3: And you're like, look at the snow on the ground. Sligh, yeah, oh look at that. They eat the snow. Do you want to eat some snow? Can I feed her snow that she drinks water? Right, it's fine? And then uh yeah, what else as far as the snow day goes? You're talking snow day prep and it turned what was your last note? You said? Outfits boots, gloves, outfits boots gloves, snow man, sled, build a snow man, yup, make sure you have soup ready to go? 01:02:10 Speaker 2: What do you want to do chili? 01:02:12 Speaker 1: Just just know whatever you're gonna need, whatever ingredients you're gonna need inside the house. 01:02:16 Speaker 2: To assume we're not going to be able to leave the house. 01:02:19 Speaker 3: You did, okay, So I just the not leaving the house part remembered. Firewood, firewood, firewood, fire. 01:02:27 Speaker 1: Yeah, get the fireplace going, maybe get the kids down, get the kids down early, and then an opportunity. 01:02:34 Speaker 3: Come on, man, come on, Scrilla starts playing me Me, Me me meanly. I don't even know if that's our song for writing Shockwave. But maybe people don't. 01:02:49 Speaker 1: Familiar with Scrilla. Just go to Spotify right now, type in Scrilla, Sit back. That's the that's theme music for Papa Team six. 01:02:58 Speaker 3: I love that. I am very side for this snow day. 01:03:01 Speaker 5: Uh. 01:03:02 Speaker 3: It will be Scarlet's first snow experienced, Scotti's first snow experience. 01:03:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, because Scotty was only like a couple months last year. Okay, so yeah, Scotty's first real experience. 01:03:13 Speaker 2: She's gonna love this. 01:03:14 Speaker 5: Oh. 01:03:14 Speaker 2: I can just see it now. 01:03:15 Speaker 3: I hope Scarlet lights up, dude. Uh, he was a little a little iffy about the first snow day. Oh really, you had to get a bought in. I do remember that. Yeah, she was having a little trouble with the snowman. She was crying a little bit. 01:03:28 Speaker 5: Yeah. 01:03:28 Speaker 3: Yeah, well winter over. 01:03:30 Speaker 1: I think I think Scotty's gonna love the snow. Who's gonna love it now because last year she had a. 01:03:34 Speaker 3: Lot of fun, uh huh uh yeah, no doubt. Scotty's just gonna be pounding the snow. She's gonna be out there snow angels. 01:03:42 Speaker 2: Yeah, she's getting rude of it. Just lay on the ground swao. 01:03:44 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be a littleld it's gonna be a little wett You just gotta embrace it. 01:03:47 Speaker 2: And then don't be a thermometer roue. 01:03:49 Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, come on, that's a Dan Gable original. I don't even know if he said. 01:03:54 Speaker 1: It, but these are the thermometer thermostat speech is one that if you're worth a ship. 01:03:59 Speaker 2: As a coach, you're telling it to your team. 01:04:00 Speaker 5: Yeah. 01:04:01 Speaker 1: Parts of the year where guys are starting to bitch, you're starting to feel it a little bit. Listen, you can't we can't control all this other bullshit. Yeah, old man Dan's done that speech once or twice. 01:04:12 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Oh, I'm sure Dan. 01:04:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a good coffee beans speech out there. 01:04:16 Speaker 3: Google is saying that is a Martin Luther King junior quote. Oh there we go, Yes, who. 01:04:24 Speaker 2: There we go. 01:04:25 Speaker 3: That's wonderful. Well done, dude, well done. Yeah. Also, weatherise your house. That was a big one for me last year. Around the snow day, are pipes froze and if I had gone underneath the house to check, I was seeing that some of those pipes were running on the ground. I needed to get them up in the beams or whatever they're called. 01:04:45 Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that's smart that you're you're putting some young dads on game. 01:04:48 Speaker 2: They might need to go check the pipes. 01:04:50 Speaker 3: Open your cabinets. That's a big one. I know, that's a big one. 01:04:53 Speaker 2: Open the cabinets. 01:04:54 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for like keeping the sync from freezing over. 01:04:58 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:04:59 Speaker 3: Apparently a helps the temperature to kind of enter into like the underneath of the sink and keep those pipes warm. 01:05:06 Speaker 2: That's good game. 01:05:07 Speaker 3: It's been a little that game. I'm no expert. My pipes have been frozen multiple times. Texans have we got to get the community involved. When this drops, it'll be Wednesday morning. Yeah, because you're listening hopefully on Wednesday morning right now, we're Thursday. 01:05:19 Speaker 2: Snow isn't come yet. 01:05:20 Speaker 1: Yeah, so just drop any tips for snow days to pre prep work, whether it's what is it weatherizing your house? 01:05:26 Speaker 2: Winter rising? 01:05:27 Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, weathering no, I think I said yeah either way, winter. 01:05:31 Speaker 2: Rising your house? 01:05:32 Speaker 5: Yeah? 01:05:33 Speaker 3: Yeah, whatever games out there. We got embraced the snow, Dad, you got embraced. And speaking of winter rising things or weatherizing them. Uh. I took Scarlet to the zoo this weekend. That is my crack a cold one. She just absolutely crushed it. Dude, it's so much fun getting to hang out with people outside the house. I don't know if I touched on this last episode. Babysitter went absolutely fantastic. Let's go absolutely fantastic for Jared show. So we have her schedule, we know her openings, we have two date nights scheduled for this month. Yeah, dude, let's go. Are you kidding me? January twenty eight. 01:06:13 Speaker 2: How was the feeling when you left the babysitter the first time? 01:06:16 Speaker 3: Dude? Really really well, I'm so glad that we did. Here's a little dad hack. Meet the babysitter in person before said babysitting night. 01:06:25 Speaker 1: That way you said a dad hack. That just feels like you should probably just meet the babysitter. 01:06:30 Speaker 3: Oh parents, Yes, sorry, parents, Yes, meet the babysitter. 01:06:37 Speaker 2: Have kid meet them. There you go, good clarification. 01:06:41 Speaker 3: Well, thank you, super babysit is seven. 01:06:44 Speaker 2: How tall are you? 01:06:46 Speaker 3: And they said you were pretty good? So I think we're gonna go. 01:06:49 Speaker 2: With yeah, all right, we'll see there. 01:06:53 Speaker 3: Honey, you've met her, right, yeah, honey, I mean, come on, what do you think I am? When you get here? Just say we hey, look I told my wife about you. I said, I met you. I know, we haven't I know we haven't met. Just whenever you come into the house to say to see if you tell that you met me, all that we'll have a pizza there for you. 01:07:12 Speaker 2: We'll buy you a pizza. 01:07:14 Speaker 3: Okay, uh the but she was great, have your your child meet them. Scarlet like hung out with her at this coffee shop for like an hour and a half and was like getting our chest, playing with their hair, YadA YadA. So when she came over on the night of Scarlet won friendly face, Scarlet was super sleepy and she just melted onto Julia's shoulder and looked out like a light dude. So leaving was the easiest thing in the entire world. I mean, she was pto. Where was I going, Trip to the zoo? Trip to the zoo. So anyways, yeah, just getting out of the house is absolutely incredible and getting to hang out with adult humans. Got to meet some new friends. They were a couple of friends of Jared's. That was very front, very fun. They are actually about to enter into PT six here in may Oh, which was I told Jared. I was like, we got to hook up your boy Adam with some for the dad's stuff. Lovely couple. Mom dude. Mom was asking me some questions about the strollers, because guess what Sherman did. He forgot to bring his stroller to the zoo Saturday. I got to rent a stroller from the zoo, got to pay money. That was fun, that was so fun. 01:08:37 Speaker 2: I forgot the stroller. 01:08:38 Speaker 3: Good good, got a stroller that's built for a four year old, not a six month old. They had to pack all these blankets and so she would fit. 01:08:45 Speaker 2: You're sending jail photos. What's that stroller? We're what happened to the stroller? 01:08:50 Speaker 3: What stroller the Sherman, the Nuna or the Duna? We have two strollers? Where are they? Ah? 01:08:57 Speaker 2: I forgot them, and. 01:08:57 Speaker 3: I'm going to I'm going easy on Jill there in the back of her car. But I did not know. I didn't know. I didn't know. Hey, I didn't do that Jill under the bus. I kind of did everything she does for the family, and hey, I was operating under the assumption that I had messed up. As the funniest part, so all of my pictures were very strategically not Scarlet in the stroller throughout the entire day, and then realized when I got home and the stroller wasn't in there, I was like, Oh, it's in her car. 01:09:32 Speaker 2: So this one's on Jill. 01:09:33 Speaker 3: This one's on Jill. Finally put up the graphic where it's like hang the banner where it's like a thousand to zero and just put a one for Sureman, I find the banner. Oh but dude, this year was just a ton of fun. Jared and his girlfriend Mackenzie, they're a wonderful, wonderful couple. We love hanging out with them. It was very fun just to get to see Scarlett interacting with them, to get to see Jared and st Sixer interacting with Scarlet. Jared might be in a little bit of trouble, he told us later that night. He kind of fucks with babies now exact quote. 01:10:08 Speaker 2: Yeah, duck with babies now. 01:10:09 Speaker 3: He kind of fucks with babies now because Jared's a gooom bret. He's a he is is so yeah with goombrat tendencies and yeah, it was just it was really fun to watch McKenzie interacting with Scarlet. Yeah, it's Scarlet loves girls, loves girls. We're at Buffalo Wild Wings the other night and there was a little table of teenage girls. Scarlet watched him the entire day, entire thought she was one of them and wanted like, Mom, Dad, you go away, put me at that tape. Yeah yeah, but yeah, dude, just getting out going and doing stuff the zoo. It was a ton of fun. Didn't win arizd Scarlet very well though. She's kind of got a little like stuff in the cough, you know what I'm saying, just got like some stuff in her lungs. So I kind of got a little talking to from Jilly being on that. We'll work on it. 01:11:05 Speaker 1: We're gonna be are winter rizing her. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got you got a molder. 01:11:10 Speaker 3: I'm building up her straight. 01:11:11 Speaker 2: Yeah, you're building up the straight little thing. The little cough. 01:11:13 Speaker 3: That's good, honey, wire cheeks chapped? What's going on with that? You didn't put any low share of vasoline on her? No? I didn't. 01:11:21 Speaker 5: Good? 01:11:22 Speaker 3: You know, hey, did she have a whole other layer underneath her jacket? No, she didn't. 01:11:27 Speaker 5: Good. 01:11:27 Speaker 2: We got to communicate about the stroller. Good. Good forgot to put moisturizer on her. 01:11:31 Speaker 5: Good. 01:11:32 Speaker 3: Good to get a cough, good thought I was taking Everything went great, though, everything went great. Thought I was taking her to a restaurant. It was really just a bar that served food. Good dude, the guy, the host that was like at the door to the place we walked in. When I walked in with Scarlett, was like, Oh okay, they're doing a baby. They were very nice and accommodating. Shout out the corner of the corner bar. Yeah, we brought out the corner, no free shoutouts. It's a great spot if you're in Nashville. They were very accommodate. Speaking of zoo we saw Zutopia two on Friday night. Tell me, tell me about it because I freaking loved Zootopia. 01:12:09 Speaker 1: Bro Zootopia two is a banger, great story, great story, arcs with characters, great twists. Rus engaged the whole time. We took rid of the movie theater on Friday night. Friday night, got to sit here for Scottie. So we had a little you know, mommy daughter or mom and dad taking Rue on a little date night to the movie theater for a movie night and pizza. Friday didn't get the pizza, but dude, Ru loved it. She's like sitting up on our edge of the CT entire movie to the to the whole point of where probably the back third of the movie was left. 01:12:42 Speaker 3: She had to go potty. Yeah, but she didn't want to go potty. She wanted to watch the movie. 01:12:46 Speaker 1: Oh, it's like, all right, sweet a, Right, here's what we could do this little trick in movie because we can't pause the movie like we do at home. We can't pause while you go to the bathroom. Ever we get there's a there's a crowd in here, we can't pause the movie. 01:12:57 Speaker 3: Was she asking to positive, Yes, you see if we could pause the movie? 01:13:00 Speaker 5: Cute? 01:13:00 Speaker 2: I love that. 01:13:01 Speaker 1: And I was like, but what we can do? This is a part we just got done with a big moment. There's still a little bit of. 01:13:06 Speaker 2: The movie left. 01:13:07 Speaker 1: If we run, we can run right now and go to the go potty, and then we'll run back and we'll be able to see great parts. 01:13:11 Speaker 2: Of the movie. 01:13:12 Speaker 3: Heck yeah, I was like, but if you don't want to, you're you're gonna have to hold it. 01:13:16 Speaker 2: You're gonna have to kind of wrestle around and hold it. She's like, I want to hold it dead. 01:13:20 Speaker 3: That's a big moment. 01:13:22 Speaker 2: She held it. That's a big mill for sure. She's just gonna pee. 01:13:25 Speaker 1: She's gonna be a through underwear and we're gonna, you know, have a little code red, get some napkins, kind of like held it it. Yeah, she held it tour. After we run in the body, she goes botty. But Zutopia two is phenomenal. Any parents out there who've seen Utopia one, Zutopia two is incredible. If you haven't seen it with your toddler yet, take your toddler. Yeah, if you haven't seen Zutopia at all, you can just go watch Utopia two. You got start with Utopia one. It doesn't matter. But Zutopia is the move. 01:13:50 Speaker 3: That's what I was going to ask you as far as Utopia two goes, I am a bit of a snob with movies. I just wanted to make sure it's not too many callbacks to the first. It's kind of its own original story. 01:14:03 Speaker 1: It's kind of its own it's kind of its own original to where Fox and Bunny like they you know, they just they saved the day in the first one. Yeah, Yeah, to where they are like vet cops now when they kind of go off and do their own thing. I'm like love the friction with the with the Chief, Like, what is it the chief? 01:14:18 Speaker 2: What is he a bull? 01:14:19 Speaker 5: Uh? 01:14:20 Speaker 3: Yeah? But they have like all those. 01:14:24 Speaker 1: Little ties to the first one. But it's like a new it's a newer story. It's a fun it's a good one. It's a good one. 01:14:29 Speaker 2: You'll like it. 01:14:30 Speaker 3: Daniel Tiger would be very proud of Real for holding it during the mode. 01:14:34 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:14:36 Speaker 1: Yeah, Daniel Tiger would be bumped and Tiger was sitting there just holding her hand through it. 01:14:40 Speaker 2: God, but she loved it. 01:14:41 Speaker 3: Bro. 01:14:42 Speaker 1: Shakira, she's like the the antelope. Yeah, Shakira has another banger song to where we've been hitting that song. We've just been going back and forth on a repeat from the first Utopian the second one. But she's got another banger song. 01:14:54 Speaker 3: I forgot that that was an original piece that she did for that first one. And when the credits were and we were watching Zoo House, Yeah, God, I forgot what a banger this is. 01:15:05 Speaker 1: It was good though. I highly recommend to all the parents. I love that everybody wants a good a good kids movie. 01:15:12 Speaker 3: Yes, I actually have a dad hack or a survival kit for you, specifically, will before we get into emails and call in. Yeah, I got some KT tape for you. I think it's something that should be an every dad survival kit. As far, it's not gonna help with anything structural. This is more of like a muscular thing, but just to keep you loose, to keep you operating during your move I got some. 01:15:46 Speaker 2: KT tape for you. I appreciate that. Man. Shout out. 01:15:49 Speaker 3: No free shout out to KT tap, Yeah, no. 01:15:51 Speaker 2: Free shots to k t Yeah. Did we get in some of the hotline? 01:15:55 Speaker 3: I would love to. That's crazy work, because. 01:17:22 Speaker 2: That's a PT sixer operating next day. 01:17:25 Speaker 3: Phoenix is gonna hate that. I'm so excited for this. 01:19:59 Speaker 6: It's what I It's one of my favorite callings we've ever received, just because of the voice and what he said. 01:20:04 Speaker 2: What he said that. 01:20:05 Speaker 7: I'll sorry, golly, boys, you got Andy here real quick. I got a pro tip for expecting fathers, which is the situation I'm currently in. 01:20:17 Speaker 5: But before that, we'll let you know I'm a day one listener. 01:20:20 Speaker 1: Uh. 01:20:20 Speaker 7: I started listening first episode and then I was like, well, probably do this because I. 01:20:25 Speaker 5: Like these boys. Again, I figured to give me some wisdom for expecting child two. Three years. A week later, my wife's like, hey, I'm breaking. I'm like, well, good news. I prepared. I've been listening to this podcast. So fast forward for the expecting father. 01:20:43 Speaker 7: He's probably gonna have to go on some daycara tours and if you've never been there, you have no idea what to ask these people. Yeah, we're in there asking him like, uh, where they play at, where they sleep or the doors locked? 01:21:00 Speaker 5: We got none. Man, Before you go in, you have to quit Google. You look like a hero to your wife. You go in there and be like, what's the certification of the teachers? 01:21:10 Speaker 3: Teachers? Like? 01:21:11 Speaker 5: What a question? From this moment, excuse me answer, I didn't hear what you said. That's good. Uh, follow it up. 01:21:17 Speaker 7: It's like who's c if your certified, and what do we do to make sure you keep taking the courses? 01:21:22 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I. 01:21:23 Speaker 5: Love that question. So yeah, you have to quit Google. That's my pro tip and. 01:21:30 Speaker 3: You'll have a good day day. 01:21:32 Speaker 5: Bro. 01:21:32 Speaker 3: That's au from Andy right there. That's a plus phone call from Andy right there. Indeed, dude, the fact that a guy that sounds like that loves his pot Phoenix would piss his pants of Andy walk into a room, would piss his pants Andy, so on. 01:21:49 Speaker 2: It, dude, He's on it. You call the fluff right there, Andy. His hack. 01:21:53 Speaker 1: His pro tip is any situation or conversation you're about to go into, use Google. 01:21:58 Speaker 2: Hey, what are the questions to ask? Yes, went talking to so and so as a parent. 01:22:03 Speaker 3: And it is true. I talked about that on an episode with you guys of our shopping experience. I was the first guy that he described. I didn't Google beforehand. Yeah, I didn't know anything to ask. The only thing was the security measure, which was, like, you know, do the doors locked? He's exactly right, dude, he's shout out Andy. 01:22:25 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:22:25 Speaker 1: And like I think to times where we might be sitting with somebody that maybe baby sits the kids, or potential nanny or a doctor or whatever it is, troll will rip off some of these questions and then we'll cand I sit there because I'm kind of quiet the whole time, and Troll look over to me and we kind of just both smiled. 01:22:43 Speaker 5: Jos. 01:22:44 Speaker 2: She's like, you have any question, sweetheart. I feel pretty good. 01:22:48 Speaker 5: It's pretty good. 01:22:49 Speaker 1: But that game right there, I need a Yeah, you fuff use Google. Hey, I'm about to meet with this about to meet with this pediatrician. What are some good questions to ask as a father? 01:22:58 Speaker 4: Oh? 01:22:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, you had a situation with your new house where you did the blue tape thing where you all went around and you kind of blue taped everything. I know renters do that all the time too, where you go through and you take pictures of stuff in the house, any of those little things where it's like Dad could either go in completely blind or could go in and look like he did his homework well done. 01:23:22 Speaker 2: And I need Andy Colling in more. Yeah, I need that voice in my life. 01:23:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm always and Andy please and sounds and Andy sounds like an older dad. 01:23:36 Speaker 4: Did he say how oldest kids were? 01:23:37 Speaker 3: Well daycare? 01:23:38 Speaker 4: So? 01:23:39 Speaker 3: Yeah, but he has that voice of like a seasoned early sixty who loves watching a football. I just don't run the damn Yeah. I don't want to be that guy, but just guessing his accent, I feel like he's anywhere from Abilene, Texas to Little Rock, Arkansas. Is going to be my guest, and that could be somewhere in Oklahoma too. Andy, if you don't mind sharing your location, you just sound like my kind of people. You just kind of sound like a tics. Andy. I like those boys. I listened to it. 01:24:13 Speaker 1: That's your that's your neck of the woods. That's my neck of the woods. He really throws for a loopies. I got Felsen from Minnesota. 01:24:19 Speaker 3: I'm from PRISONO man, like, damn Okay, California. This is from V he says. I thought I was ready. 01:24:31 Speaker 5: Boys, it's V again. That's a voicemail about an hour ago. 01:24:37 Speaker 2: Hung up. 01:24:37 Speaker 3: My wife looking at me and was like, you really just butchered that from calling back because when it was happening, we watched someone go off the road because Ike's hell out, so everyone be safe. 01:24:49 Speaker 8: But just my thing was is I thought I had all this together because we're expecting our. 01:24:54 Speaker 3: First in April, and then I listened to the episode where you guys are talking about sucking you. 01:25:00 Speaker 4: He could got of noses, and I look at my wife and I'm like, what are they talking about? 01:25:04 Speaker 3: And then I finally realized, like, I have no idea what I'm doing here. 01:25:08 Speaker 8: So my question is is there's all. 01:25:11 Speaker 3: The basic stuff that you know, expecting fathers me, but what is the stuff that really threw you for a curve ball that you really had to adapt and learn how to do. Appreciate you boys, talk to your fam'd be sick as that. 01:25:23 Speaker 6: That's a good phoney, really good question. The first phone call he sent in was much more mild and generic. The second one you could tell the wife was like you suck at that? 01:25:32 Speaker 3: And he's like, no, I'm calling back and getting and it was an hour on the dot. He thought about it. He pulled an handy and he said, what's a good question I can ask these boys? 01:25:44 Speaker 1: Naturally, that's a great feeling and thought that you felt when hearing about the mucus and it's not sucking. Yeah, because again that's that was news to me. It was like, oh, hey, kids got a stuff. He knows, like, how do we get this stuff even out of their noses? Now we got this little bulb right here. That's when we first learned about the bulb. Then we go to the manual snotsucker. And then I'm learning through sure that there's this machine of a snotsucker out there that you don't have to sit there and feel like you're torturing the kid. They actually probably have fun with it or love it. We we're still in the process. I need to get my hands on. 01:26:12 Speaker 3: Those bro I ripped some mucus out this morning, by the way, ripped some out with that electronic and all went, well, she oh yeah, and dude, I'm talking so much. And guys, we don't get any money from that company of whatever that It's. 01:26:28 Speaker 1: Crazy how much you pull out of their nose, Like when I'm doing it with the tube, the manual one. It's crazy how you'll keep hearing the noise and you're like you got to take a breath and continue to go because like, my god, they got so much up there they do. 01:26:39 Speaker 3: Sorry I cut you off. 01:26:40 Speaker 2: Well, no, I was gonna just say. I felt like that's a natural like you, we have no clue. We don't know. 01:26:44 Speaker 1: I want to say my first my first moments is just always having the diaper bag ready and being in like thinking ahead more. I'm very poor at being able to think ahead. Stuff that's Chari is sitting there saying, I'm like, or she might whether you want to call it getting an ear for or we're just having a conversation about it. 01:27:03 Speaker 2: Trump's in there. 01:27:04 Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I haven't been able. I don't know how to get my brain the forward think about some of this stuff. 01:27:10 Speaker 3: I to where I'm like learning on the fly. 01:27:12 Speaker 1: There again, no matter even what we tell you, there's gonna be things that come up that we're not even currently aware of. There's gonna be things that I've already forgotten that. Yeah, sure threw me for a loop. 01:27:22 Speaker 3: As far as if he's talking about he's about to be a father, correct, is the whole point of this. There is a multitude of things that you're gonna have to learn that you're gonna need to learn. But as far as your basics of like getting sorry, swaddling, uh no, sucking, feeding, and putting down for sleep, like if you get that figured out, if you can go and changing diapers, dull. 01:27:52 Speaker 1: Changing diapers, changing and you're gonna you're gonna do more than you think. Yeah, it's not gonna be like you let one go and. 01:27:56 Speaker 2: You let it sit. No, you want to you want to change your diaper aceps. They don't get it. Dipper ashes. 01:28:01 Speaker 1: Having a cream on their little bump, Yes, a little cream on their bumb like as you get done, kind of wiping them with a good clean what are those things called the cleans the little wipes, Yeah, a little clean wipes after you get done doing that, putting a little cream on their bum. 01:28:16 Speaker 2: For wifey. 01:28:17 Speaker 1: I don't know if she's pumping breastfeeding. You guys are doing formula, but Choro was a mix of breastfeeding and pumping. So Charle getting done as many times as I could think about. 01:28:28 Speaker 2: Her or think ahead. 01:28:29 Speaker 1: It's like washing out, washing out all the things for the breast pumping, like you being the guy to do that, to help take that off, take the little things off of their plate. Because again postpartums are real thing. So being there for your wife, having constant communication and conversation. You don't always have to be like over his shoulder, how you feeling, how you feeling? 01:28:47 Speaker 2: Anything I can do he are we doing? 01:28:48 Speaker 3: Mmm? But just knowing your presences there and you're thinking about these things around her world and her life to where whether it's cleaning out things with the with the with the breast pump, being like, hey, go change or you you take take a take a load off? Yeah, okay, can I throw a little extra dad hack that right in? Alex would would do the date night guy. Yeah, Jill had a snack bucket for whenever she was pumping. Bro put together a little snack bucket for your girl, you know, all of your favorites. 01:29:20 Speaker 2: That's good, that's good game right there, that's good. 01:29:22 Speaker 3: Get I didn't do it. Jill did it for herself. But hey, maybe I could make the look like a real petty sick. Yeah, and dude, just get all of her favorite snacks and hey, what's this We already have cheeses. We already have Welch's gummies. Yeah, but you know for when you're pumping. Yeah, got your little slack basket. 01:29:40 Speaker 1: Snack bucket being on type of diaper bag. Understanding cream going on the bum with the baby when you're changing the baby. 01:29:48 Speaker 3: A lot, and you can never use too much. Now, if you're on a tight budget, you can absolutely use too much. But you really, that's my one tip on the cream. 01:29:57 Speaker 2: Decluttering the house. 01:29:58 Speaker 1: There'll be a lot of stuff going on when the baby comes to where again, wife, he's going to be in it, so decluttering the house, cleaning up the kitchen, picking up things around the house, making sure she has a clean space. Because the women are essentially like locked in the house for like the. 01:30:12 Speaker 2: First eight weeks. 01:30:13 Speaker 1: It feels like, Yeah, little stuff like that little interest your wife has, Like maybe there's a sweet treat you can bring her home. Maybe she's a latte girl, maybe she's a coffee girl going out and getting the coffees. 01:30:24 Speaker 3: If you don't have a rocker at your house, there is a really nice rocker at Target that I swear is one hundred dollars on the dot. It looks like a white rocking chair that you would have on your front porch. It comes with a nice little foot rest on it too that sways back and forth as well. That's like separate of the chair. It's one hundred dollars. Even I know that's pretty expensive, but if you're in the furniture game, you know that's a that's a pretty good deal. Yeah, And get a nice little bit booty cushion for dude, and that can be her little pump station. That could be her little rock station. Having a good rocker, Yeah, getting becoming a pro and swaddling. I have to. 01:31:07 Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of anything else. 01:31:10 Speaker 3: In the swaddling game for any Like new dads that are listening are like, oh man, I gotta get on the swaddling. Just on YouTube. That's what I did. I looked up a video like almost how to tie your tie type video. Swaddling's not too it's not crazy. You just got to make sure you have a big enough blanket or big enough towel for sure. For sure, get him nice and tight. 01:31:30 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:31:31 Speaker 1: Understanding the schedule. It's like eat, sleep, poop. You're trying to get him to sleep for two and a half two to three hours at a time. 01:31:39 Speaker 5: Yeah. 01:31:39 Speaker 1: Understanding what shifts you guys are gonna be taking. If you guys are talking about who's going to be doing what shift? Yeah, those would be the things in the beginning. 01:31:48 Speaker 3: Yeah, and the start shopping for a car seats like you're shopping for a car. That's how you could really impress her. Yeah, honey, I'm looking at these. You know, I got four options here. I like this one because of that one. Da da du He can't go wrong with the car seat. All of them are great. Start shopping car seats in front of her on your phone. Let her kind of see it over your shoulder. 01:32:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, what are you doing? 01:32:09 Speaker 3: Just looking, just trying to figure out what car seats best. Yeah, I've heard so, you know, Will Will says he's got to do in a nuna, but we don't know, you know, Sherman's got do. We're gonna have pressure cargo in the car now. I'm just trying to make sure we're safe, right, Yeah. Yeah, it's a good foundation. Good foundation. We got one last one from Max, all right, got to keep it under an hour. I have to keep it under an hour. 01:32:34 Speaker 8: Boys, Max here pt six member to a nine month old baby girl, have a dad hack and response to your question at the end of your last podcast. For me, the hardest part of being a parent doesn't have to do anything with my daughter, but instead has to do with self care and that change of identity. My wife and I were fortunate enough to both you home for the first five months of our daughter's life and being excited first time parents. Our daughter was our focus twenty four to seven, especially in those early months with learning curves and figuring everything out. It just apped all of our energy. This is where my dad hack comes in. Regular happy hours with other parents. Now, don't judge me because I do live in good old Wisconsin, but meeting almost every Friday at a brewery with a couple other dads and moms has been a game changer. Sometimes as parents, we forget about the outside world or even what day it is. But having some close friends that have kids close in age and can relate brings you back to earth, just like having this podcast. Hearing relatable stories and other experiences makes you feel like you aren't alone. Happy hour might not look the same as he used to, as we have our diaper bags, snacks, toys, and everything else for the kids, but I think as a parent we appreciate the time with other parents and it's worth it. 01:33:48 Speaker 2: Level up this dad. 01:33:49 Speaker 8: Hack even more if you have all the wives meet up beforehand while the dads stay back and keep the kids for an hour. Give those moms an hour of time to themselves. The moms deserve that and appreciate it. Thanks boyse pt six, Forever appreciate it. 01:34:08 Speaker 3: I hate to do this because that was a really great call, but we will have to actually cut that chef because Phoenix is gonna hate the fuck out of the voice. 01:34:22 Speaker 1: You made that way too seriously. Second, you said we're actually going out. Hey, that's a that's a great phone call. Great, a great call in. And he is one thousand percent right. I want to say the biggest thing I know listening to Charro is like going in the motherhood and everything else was like the loss of identity of the life that you had before. And I feel like she you just get boxed into just being a parent like that that becomes what your identity is. 01:34:51 Speaker 2: Yeah, So having that those tips right there blows his name again. 01:34:55 Speaker 3: Max. 01:34:56 Speaker 1: Having those tips right there from Max is spot on because it it is it's a twenty four to seven gig and kind of like lose yourself a little bit. And then when you're in the suck and you're around just your partner twenty four to seven the entire time, like bickering and some things are just gonna happen, whether it's resentment, whether it's subconscious, whatever it is, you're gonna be around each other at all times, your roommate. You're locked in the foxhole together. And that's awesome that he got five months off, but as he's sitting there putting everybody on game, it's like just being around that person at all times can cause some just internal chaos, internal dialogue that you have with yourself and just feel like, man, is this what it's going to be like forever? 01:35:32 Speaker 3: It is crazy. Just talking about the corner bar that I went to with Jared and Mackenzie. I'll send you the picture and you can bring it up. I brought her little upright seat that we've talked about before. Ye have that on the table. She's sitting there, Jared and Mackenzie are having drinks. We're living life, we're being humans in the wild. And Scarlet's right there, and like that was my first sign being out and get hot wings and fries and you know, a drink with friends and stuff like you just feel. 01:36:06 Speaker 1: Like your battery just gets recharged a little bit in the biggest way. Everything I was thinking leading up to this, I can. I can start throwing this into the equation and it'll just bring me much more joy. Not that you're not having fun and not having a lot of joy in your life, but oh, I can go out and do these things. 01:36:26 Speaker 2: Scarlett crushed it. 01:36:27 Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, things I tell myself on Hey, I can't do this, I gotta stay home. 01:36:31 Speaker 3: The kid blah bla blah. 01:36:32 Speaker 1: Dude, if you figure it out and then the moment you do step outside or I love the hack too, the little tip on let the women go out for an hour before while the dads hang back, pro move have a nice school lollipop with the boys before they go out and meet the women for dinner. I love that man, pro move and we it levels up bro again that that battery just fills up. 01:36:51 Speaker 3: Yeah, just in a humongous shout out also to everybody that's all these comments and emails and calls today have been fantasy been great. Yeah, they've been really good. 01:37:01 Speaker 2: They've been great. 01:37:02 Speaker 3: Shout out to him too. 01:37:03 Speaker 6: You could tell he wrote the intense wrote down like it's it's a little bit of a script, like I love it. Listening to it, I was like, Oh, this guy said I'm gonna get on the fucking show and this is how I'm gonna do it. 01:37:13 Speaker 3: So that's great and I'm gonna give the dad some real game. Also, shout out Wisconsin. When I was there, I saw a Madison There was a dentist office where the dentists also owned a brewery that was attached to his dental office. Look, we don't shout out Wisconsin on this show. Oh will I just Wisconsin Badger's haunt my night man. Okay, well shout out. 01:37:40 Speaker 2: Maybe he meant something by that again, that's me. That's I'm taking that one. 01:37:43 Speaker 3: Personal shout out. Lincoln, Nebraska. I've never been by. I've heard really great things. And I bet they got some dental breweries there. I bet they There we go, there we go. 01:37:53 Speaker 1: Come on, all right, I got a wifey shout out here, wifey shout out before we end the episode with a lesson of the week, which is gonna come to us from Dan Gable. 01:38:05 Speaker 2: It's gonna come to us from David. 01:38:06 Speaker 3: Also, I have a lesson of the Week that I've pushed three weeks. I can't read it for you what you can read it. But we're still gotta have a Dan Gable quote. I know, I know. 01:38:16 Speaker 1: All right, Here we go, wipey shout out from Eric Iyantis fellas Eric here from Godly Texas. I had to write in the brag on my wife, Sophia, the ultimate empty sixer and former Alito High School teacher. She's an absolute badass. We have a photo right here of them. No, the lovely couple it seems like they're out there on a hike with the little one. 01:38:37 Speaker 3: Or maybe yeah, keep reading, it's very different than a hike. 01:38:40 Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I see an animal in this photo a. 01:38:47 Speaker 3: Hunting They get home. 01:38:49 Speaker 1: On December seventeenth, she gave birth to our twin daughters, and watching her step straight into mo mode with two newborns and still love every second of it has been unreal. Well, ten days before delivering twins, she was still climbing into a deer, standing shooting pigs. Same woman, same great effort and attitude That leads me to my best piece of advice. Make sure you marry a badass, o, Mary, someone who's constantly pushing themselves to be better. When she's leveling up, it forces me to level up two as a husband, as a dad, and a man. 01:39:21 Speaker 2: We love the pod. You all keep crushing it. Thank you, Eric Yantis. So they were hunting a lovely couple of times. 01:39:28 Speaker 3: Just a brag on the Yantis family, but also to brag on Alito, Texas man. That's a bear cut right there, missus Yantis. Thank you for wrapping Alito high. Thank you for teaching those young kids, and thank you for going and splitting a hog. Yeah, yeah, just two weeks after giving birth to twins? 01:39:45 Speaker 6: Was that ten days before delivering between has a very large belly in the picture. 01:39:49 Speaker 1: Next, Oh my gouge, I'm thinking they're on a hike with the newborn. Oh, hang on a second. This is ten days before she's delivering twins. Come on, man, hey, honey, we gotta get it. We gotta get in the before we get into this delivery room. God, they just wrapped Aldos so well and shout out Godly too. That's a great community. They're truly in my neck of the woods. That's really fun. Shout out the Yntis family. I love shout out big shout out to them. 01:40:14 Speaker 3: This Okay, before we end the episode, I have the birthday thing as well, but this is from Candice Hurt. Hey, guys, my husband Shane started listening to the pod shortly after our son was born in July. He began referring to himself as a pt sixer and myself as an empty sixer. After overhearing several episodes, it quickly became something that we now enjoy together. Shane is such a great dad to our now six month old Cohen and always embraces the good Times aka the Trenches. He refuses to comment until we are all caught up, and we are so so close to fully catching up on the podcast. Just have to let you guys know how much we appreciates. It's funny, it's entertaining, it's relatable, and with so much great advice and added emotional intelligence. 01:41:07 Speaker 2: Keep it up and thank you. 01:41:08 Speaker 3: Ps. We just bought our first lollipops. So far Apple Crisp remains at the top. 01:41:16 Speaker 2: Indeed it does. 01:41:17 Speaker 3: Good Lord, this might be an all timer episode for ride Ins. 01:41:21 Speaker 6: She wrote on five different of our channels to get her husband shouted out as well. I think it was an emails, Instagram, I believe it was x DMS. I believe it was YouTube comment and maybe a Spotify comment as well. All slightly different, but she's a milk Team. 01:41:35 Speaker 3: Six to that. I say, Shane Hurt, thank you for being an absolute sick of for getting your wife onto this, for just celebrating everything that is fatherhood. Dude, You're a legend. 01:41:45 Speaker 2: Shane. 01:41:46 Speaker 3: Thank you. Drum roll please, we have Sarah Garcia, who wrote in for her husband's birthday, which was on December thirtieth. Okay, belated this to get right. This is a maketh this is a make right. Hold on, let mean you're right, You're right. Let me read this thing. Sorry. This is from Sarah Garcia. This came in via email. Will. Hello, I would like to request a birthday shout out for my wonderful husband, Tyler Wright. His birthday is on December thirtieth, and he will be thirty two this year. 01:42:22 Speaker 2: Come on. 01:42:23 Speaker 3: He has been a huge fan of your show since twenty twenty. We live in Nebraska, so he has also been a huge fan of Wills since his freshman year at UNL. That's how you know they're a true siko. Dude who calls it UNL tbr GBR. My husband made me say all of that in parenthesis. He watches your episodes religiously and very loudly. Every year for Christmas, he asks for merch from your shows, specifically the dad gear. And he is also the best dad to my son, who is his step son. My son has even said that he considers my husband his dad more than his biological father. He always prioritizes our son's needs over his own without hesitation. This birthday shout out is the only president he asks for, and he will ship his pants. If he gets it, please please please give him this gift. It will make me the best wife ever and it will mean that my birthday present has to be a good one this year. Winkie face man, Sarah Garcia and what was what was his name? Tyler Wright? Tyler, you're doing good, bro, You're you're crushing you're crushing it man and GBR baby GBR forever. 01:43:36 Speaker 2: Thank you for the sport. 01:43:37 Speaker 1: But even that that that right up right there, you can tell that, uh that you're crushing it right now being a stepdad, all the things that she said in that note, big. 01:43:46 Speaker 2: Shots to you. 01:43:47 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Sarah. We're sorry, we did not see that. As we're to Sarah, We're sorry. We're it's Sarah. I did quite don't want an empt sixer on our ass. 01:43:54 Speaker 2: Hey, it just can't happen. 01:43:56 Speaker 3: We're moving on to our Dan Gable quotes, our lesson of the week. I still have two emails that we didn't read that we'll have to do next episode. Yeah, that's just the way she goes. Yeah, and I'm sorry, Sarah. I'm sorry, Yo. 01:44:08 Speaker 2: We are sorry. 01:44:09 Speaker 3: That is chef's fault. Just point the finger at somebody. Sorry, Sarah, well done, apologize, chef. I if I would just wasn't a fucking idiot, this would aball be fixed. Go over really really nicely. Yeah, Will, what was your topic lesson or Dan Gable quote of the week? 01:44:36 Speaker 2: You got a lesson? 01:44:37 Speaker 3: I do? 01:44:37 Speaker 2: Okay, good, It's brief. It's very brief. 01:44:40 Speaker 1: Love it, uh, Dan Gable, this is a This is a quote that I think just goes in well with parenthood because we talk about the highest of highs in parenthood and when you can, when you can, like uh present what the gold medal of parenthoods feels like? It's this quote right here from Dan Gable. It's gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination and a hard to find in a hard to find Let me start that again. 01:45:13 Speaker 3: Okay, take a second, we'll cut that the gold Medal of parenthoid gold medals aren't really made of gold. 01:45:23 Speaker 1: They're made of sweat, determination and a hard to find alloy called guts. 01:45:32 Speaker 4: Bro. 01:45:32 Speaker 3: He's unreal with the quotes as Dan Gabel right there, that's Dan Gable. I have one bracing this suck that is that's the gold medal in a what was it a hard to find alloy called what hard to find alloy gold guts? That one gets your piss it does. I actually want that one printed like that. That's cool. I love that quote I had. I had one that I thought applied very nicely to Fatherho just life in general. Dan Gable is Dan Gable. Uh, freedom across the world is a result of many individuals working together. That's Dan Gable. 01:46:12 Speaker 2: That's parenthood. 01:46:13 Speaker 3: That's parenthood working together, communicating. 01:46:17 Speaker 2: That's what creates freedom. 01:46:19 Speaker 3: Come on, I just love that. A wrestler slash wrestling coach that was on his quotes page a freedom across the world. 01:46:26 Speaker 1: Man, imagine being Dan Gable knowing that what you do that's gonna echo in eternity of wrestling is also going to echo to. 01:46:36 Speaker 3: For the Dad's podcast, Yeah, it's gonna echo into parenthood. Yeah, it's gonna get the piss hot. Yeah, it's gonna get the pissh It's gonna change lives. I so shout out. That was our Dan Gable Quote of the Week segment brought to you by Dan Gable and for the Dads. Last but not least, it is very brief. We I think this was even three episodes ago. For my lesson the week. So this was kind of like my New Year's resolution that I had for myself. But staying in touch with those that you love. I have a one hour round trip commute to Scarlett's daycare, sometimes longer with traffic. I've decided during that time to call people that I love, or people back in Texas that I just miss or want to stay close to and share life with and stories with. There is something so grounding about speaking with those that you know and love so well, asking them for advice, helping them with their struggles, asking about their day and telling them about yours, or just being a set of ears for them to vent and vice versa. Life moves incredibly fast, and so far these calls have aided in slowing things down, having a meaningful conversation with substance, being able to laugh at yourself while telling a frustrating story of fatherhood. It's sometimes just what the doctor ordered. Have I read that before? No? I think it's just been on my sheet. I was reading it, I was like, have I read this on the pod book? 01:48:10 Speaker 2: Off the press? 01:48:11 Speaker 3: Okay, cool, it's a good one, thank you, and it's been going. It's actually been going really well, these last like three weeks, it's been a lot of fun. 01:48:18 Speaker 2: It's a lesson I feel like I need to incorporate in my life. 01:48:20 Speaker 3: It's been good, dude. I've I've been catching up with a lot of friends I haven't seen in person and quite a while, and just it's so much fun tapping in just hearing the little quips and personalities of like their kids they're growing up, having a couple of laughs, yes, dude, and just being able to like laugh about stuff that I could call you and you would have a completely different take on it than like somebody that I've known since I was twelve years old. It's just like, I don't know, it's fun. 01:48:49 Speaker 1: So we're gonna have to cut that. Oh no, you're talking about catching up with your bros not on this show. 01:49:00 Speaker 3: Yeah, God forbid. I got one of their gamer tags too, and like scheduled trying to introduce them into our PUBG world. That would be a shame one of my high school dues from back in the day. Try and get him to play pubg with us. You better not play on the sports book either, Oh no way. Oh and we have a poll here to finish out the show. We have a poll, A poll, A poll. 01:49:28 Speaker 6: Well, last episode, we did a break and shout out out some people that sent us things, and Shirm told Pt six to send an emoji into the chat. It was a very defsive decision which emoji, Sheram said, and so I thought we'd just address it, Sam, do you want to just read out what the emojis were? 01:49:44 Speaker 1: I did see in the comments us with a bunch of beach emojis, and I had no clue what was going on. I was like, did I miss something in the episode to where everybody just knows to drop beach emojis At. 01:49:53 Speaker 3: The at the h we did a little thank you segment for all the stuff that's been sent in. At the very end, I did, in fact, and actually lost in the poll, which is hilarious. I said comment a little peach, a peach, peach, And I started seeing all these beach emojis that because I usually like checked the episode like six fifteen, whatever went drops, I see all these beach umbrellas, beaches, oceans, and I'm like, what's going When did we talk about a beach in the episode. I'm so, oh my god, oh my god. I only saw two peaches. Yeah, I think only two people got it right. 01:50:31 Speaker 4: Crazy as far as that everyone in this room heard peach. 01:50:34 Speaker 2: Yeah that was not a but uh I didn't hear anything. 01:50:38 Speaker 3: It got translated to me, which is that's okay, that's okay. But I'm glad we got that sold. I'm glad we got that pole. So which one won the beach beach? So, I mean I would say then that would mean that you were wrong. I think you're right now that I if everybody's dropping beaches and then the pole says no, it was beach, not peached, that that would tell me I didn't pronounce it correctly. You know. I think there's only one way to go about this, to really kind of settle it. If you have watched it all the way to this point to the end, I. 01:51:12 Speaker 1: Feel like everybody checks out the majority, like ninety nine percent, they're gone. 01:51:17 Speaker 3: The Phoenixes of the world. They're out here, they're out of here. 01:51:20 Speaker 2: Yeah, they've left one star reviews. 01:51:22 Speaker 3: But if you don't think we need to go back to the drawing board, come in a little beach A What I said it once, I won't say it again. 01:51:30 Speaker 2: Should it be a different emoji? What if people just follow from last week. 01:51:33 Speaker 3: So that's that's a good call comment. Let's come in a bear. Let's come in a little bear face. Okay, yeah, bear face, par emoji face, bear emoji face. Okay, let's do that, okay. Or I wish there was a phoenix emoji. That would be sick. Will's cooking up something. I'm trying to into the emojis in my head. Bare face face, bare face. That's perfect. 01:52:06 Speaker 4: Great, sod great, so great. So wait, wait one second, Happy anniversary, Alex. Love you so much. I hope you have the best day ever. Oh for almost almost. 01:52:16 Speaker 3: Let that one slip three, Just trying to sneak that one in when everybody's tuned out. I'm waiting to see she'll watch the whole episode. Okay, Joe Chef loves Alex. 01:52:30 Speaker 2: What are you doing for the anniversary? 01:52:32 Speaker 3: It's today? 01:52:33 Speaker 4: I mean I'm going to be working today. I called her. I sent her a little vemo for nails. Long text. 01:52:39 Speaker 2: One old boy wrote in about how he had the weekend prepped up. 01:52:43 Speaker 3: Yeah, we've we've already discussed, we went over. It's just it's an unfairn we got massages on Monday week. Well, she lives in Knoxville. So that's the issue. So I said, hey, go get your nails done. I sent her extra because she does the build her jail and not the normal okay, normal nails. Hey, he's kind of on it. 01:53:01 Speaker 4: Made sure I was on it. Send her nice text you send her flowers. I think I'm gonna try to whenever we get done, I'm gonna try to get some the game boys putting on flowers on Friday. 01:53:10 Speaker 3: We Hate You Want or tour Workshop could before the dads get us singing Graham for Alex. I'm singing She's. 01:53:23 Speaker 4: She's at work right now at the Vet hospital, So wouldn't that be something? 01:53:30 Speaker 3: Get Elvis Presley go walk in there. Listen. This is from Chef. 01:53:34 Speaker 4: I'm sure I'll get a fun call. She's like, Hey, you can't do that. 01:53:39 Speaker 3: So I just want the office to know that I love you and you're my number one. 01:53:42 Speaker 4: Everyone in there needs to know. 01:53:43 Speaker 3: You just have Elvis seeing something not romantic at all at all. Scrella, Happy anniversary, Love you so much, Tier one, lover Chef. 01:53:56 Speaker 1: Good so beat six, You're the best, leap comments, subscribe everywhere, take out the trash. 01:54:02 Speaker 2: We will see you next week.
